- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah, that.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Chuck Norris was chasing the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
- 0:05Speaker 1: The rex was not chasing the jeep. Murray, Murray, you there.
- 0:10Speaker 1: You love sandwiches. Huh, let's go to eighty.
- 0:13Speaker 3: He was bo.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Wow that Prime Time. Maybe I had a crush on
- 0:18Speaker 1: Betty Rubble.
- 0:19Speaker 2: I honestly, until after the segment ended and we went
- 0:22Speaker 2: to commercial break, had no idea that Jonathan Coachman was black.
- 0:25Speaker 1: He caught them the game last night, although they won
- 0:28Speaker 1: the game. You're listening just to Godsend Company.
- 0:32Speaker 2: So a funny thing happened to me over the weekend
- 0:34Speaker 2: here Taylor, Israel Goody Eras sent me text about the Masters,
- 0:39Speaker 2: about golf, and I never thought I would get such
- 0:41Speaker 2: texts from Israel Goody Eras, But I think he fell
- 0:44Speaker 2: in love with the Masters, or at least a little
- 0:46Speaker 2: five dollars flyer on.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Cam Young windwdamn thing. I don't know.
- 0:50Speaker 4: Well, yeah, this is where I could understand you getting confused,
- 0:53Speaker 4: because there's been a lot of years that I've known you,
- 0:55Speaker 4: in a lot of years that the Masters have happened,
- 0:57Speaker 4: and I don't think I've ever texted you once during
- 0:59Speaker 4: the Masters. However, yes, yes, I felt obliged now that
- 1:03Speaker 4: I'm a company to shoot you some information about what
- 1:09Speaker 4: was happening, because I told you on Friday that I
- 1:11Speaker 4: threw a little flyer on Ludwig Oberg and then the
- 1:16Speaker 4: second I did so, he just started falling off a cliff.
- 1:18Speaker 4: Now he did to make a nice little recovery, but
- 1:20Speaker 4: that seems to be the problem with Ludwick. He always
- 1:22Speaker 4: has that one issue in the middle of a tournament
- 1:24Speaker 4: that he can't recover from. And then I said, you
- 1:26Speaker 4: know what, I should have trusted my instincts from the
- 1:29Speaker 4: beginning and said, Cam Young, my guy put the little
- 1:33Speaker 4: flyer on him. So I just said, you know what
- 1:36Speaker 4: to start the second round. Here you go, Cam Young,
- 1:38Speaker 4: here's a little boost of confidence. Yes, the round he
- 1:42Speaker 4: was up, and so I was just sharing this information.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Was Stu the only person who I knows who both
- 1:48Speaker 4: obsesses over the Masters and gambles on it.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Well, thank you, I take that as a compliment. It
- 1:56Speaker 2: was interesting tale were you into the Masters over the weekend?
- 1:58Speaker 2: I know baseball season's going, and I'm surprised is he
- 2:01Speaker 2: was that into it considering the final day of the
- 2:02Speaker 2: NBA regular season was yesterday, and I'm certain he was
- 2:06Speaker 2: glued to that. And now we have our playoff matches
- 2:08Speaker 2: and play and playing games and all that stuff. But Taylor,
- 2:11Speaker 2: where you went to the Masters over the weekend because
- 2:14Speaker 2: it was tough.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Rory had the big lead after the second round.
- 2:18Speaker 2: And it's what I tell you about golf and how
- 2:21Speaker 2: tricky it is to root for this particular event where
- 2:25Speaker 2: you want Rory, who's a fine champion, who's a great champion,
- 2:29Speaker 2: a popular champion, but you want him to come back
- 2:31Speaker 2: to the field to make it close for Sunday, and
- 2:34Speaker 2: he certainly did.
- 2:34Speaker 1: In fact, he should have gotten a second.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Green jacket for making it close on Saturday, one for
- 2:40Speaker 2: making it close and the second one for winning the
- 2:42Speaker 2: actual majors. In my personal record book, he has two
- 2:45Speaker 2: green jackets just from this year alone.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Were you into a Taylor?
- 2:49Speaker 3: Yeah, so I get into I get into all the majors.
- 2:52Speaker 3: When it comes to golf, I don't really My problem
- 2:55Speaker 3: with golf is I don't really have a favorite golfer.
- 2:58Speaker 3: And that's been everybody's tip for how to get more
- 3:00Speaker 3: into golf. And then I'm like, Okay, I want to
- 3:02Speaker 3: become a Brooks Koepka guy or a Colin Moricowa guy,
- 3:05Speaker 3: one bed round by any of those guys, and you're
- 3:08Speaker 3: completely out of it. So it's like, Okay, I don't
- 3:10Speaker 3: really know what to do. So Stu, my recent pivot
- 3:13Speaker 3: is I just root for the course. I root for
- 3:15Speaker 3: the course to beat up all the players and everybody
- 3:19Speaker 3: kind of come down to looking more like me when
- 3:21Speaker 3: I go out there.
- 3:24Speaker 4: My favorite golfer at the moment is Cam Young, But
- 3:28Speaker 4: right to Taylor's point, my favorite golfer often changes depending
- 3:32Speaker 4: on who's on a hot streak, because if you're not
- 3:35Speaker 4: in on the leaderboard during a golf tournament, you're useless
- 3:38Speaker 4: to me, Like, I'm not going to go watch you
- 3:40Speaker 4: struggle through, you know, around a seventy five just because
- 3:43Speaker 4: you're my guy. And so the thing about this tournament
- 3:46Speaker 4: that doubled it down on the annoyance Stu, it was
- 3:49Speaker 4: not only was.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Rory up big, right, it's actually tripled down.
- 3:53Speaker 4: Okay, he was up big, and then it wasn't that
- 3:56Speaker 4: anybody winning go to get him. He came down to
- 3:59Speaker 4: everybody else, and everybody else was kind of like playing
- 4:02Speaker 4: a golf right. It was it wasn't just spectacular golf
- 4:05Speaker 4: all around.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Yeah, he just stayed there is he after the second round,
- 4:08Speaker 2: he just stayed. He shot even par the rest of
- 4:10Speaker 2: the way, and the only guy that made a run
- 4:11Speaker 2: at him was Scottie Scheffler.
- 4:13Speaker 1: That's eleven strokes back. Had it into the weekend.
- 4:16Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, he was just way too far back.
- 4:17Speaker 4: He was the only one challenging the guy. And so
- 4:19Speaker 4: that in itself makes it, you know, the second level
- 4:23Speaker 4: of frustration. But also yeah, like he gave up the lead,
- 4:28Speaker 4: Like he lost the lead and everybody's just gonna just
- 4:30Speaker 4: twiddle their thumbs and be like, well, like nobody wants it,
- 4:33Speaker 4: we'll just give it right back to him. It's like
- 4:35Speaker 4: he wasn't spectacular in the last round and he won
- 4:37Speaker 4: that thing. The third round was amazing golf from everybody involved.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Fourth round a bit of a fart noise. The third
- 4:45Speaker 1: round was amazing golf from everyone involved except for Rory.
- 4:48Speaker 1: And that's what we needed.
- 4:49Speaker 2: And that's why it was celebrating him on Saturday because
- 4:52Speaker 2: he made it interesting on Sunday. But to your point,
- 4:54Speaker 2: on Sunday, there are a whole lot of people who
- 4:57Speaker 2: could have went up and reached out and grabbed that
- 4:59Speaker 2: thing and themselves a green jacket and a master's victory.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Guys like Russell Henley, Justin Rose, Cam Young, Colin Morrikawas,
- 5:07Speaker 2: Sam Burns and none of them, and I mean none
- 5:10Speaker 2: of them made any sort of run at Rory so
- 5:13Speaker 2: and Young. I understand your frustration.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Yes, Cam Young was all pars in the back nine,
- 5:17Speaker 4: like just come on man, Yes, yes.
- 5:19Speaker 2: On the day where Rory sat shot seventy one. I
- 5:22Speaker 2: mean he went seventy three seventy one final two rounds
- 5:25Speaker 2: after starting the thing sixty seven sixty five and being
- 5:28Speaker 2: twelve under after two rounds, which is absurd.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Besides Scheffler, the person who probably did have the best
- 5:35Speaker 3: Sunday was Morikawa. And he was out there. His back
- 5:39Speaker 3: looked like it must have been in shambles because he
- 5:41Speaker 3: could not walk, and there was that spread where he
- 5:43Speaker 3: was like birdie, birdie, birdie, and it felt like maybe
- 5:47Speaker 3: Morikawa could do it. But he was started the day
- 5:49Speaker 3: like five under I think, and was too far back.
- 5:52Speaker 3: But is he You mentioned that you put a flyer
- 5:55Speaker 3: on Oberg and Cam Young stue before the tournament. Listen
- 6:00Speaker 3: to Mike Francessa, the Pope, Yeah, of course, and he's
- 6:04Speaker 3: given out his picks Yeah, listen to this pick he
- 6:08Speaker 3: gives and then I'll get more context afterwards.
- 6:11Speaker 5: Okay, I've been looking for McIntyre. I like the price
- 6:21Speaker 5: twenty eight to one. I think he's going to play
- 6:23Speaker 5: very well. He's got the right temperament. If it's his game,
- 6:36Speaker 5: I would definitely use him. So what is he eating?
- 6:42Speaker 5: I mean, I hate that so much. It's so annoying.
- 6:46Speaker 3: The first part of it. McIntire misses the cut. Yeah,
- 6:51Speaker 3: he shoots plus seven, and it's like, Okay, he just
- 6:54Speaker 3: said he liked the golfer. There's gonna be a ton
- 6:58Speaker 3: of golfers who missed the cut have a bad week.
- 7:00Speaker 3: And the part that sticks out is Francessa making a
- 7:04Speaker 3: point to say I like his temperament. He's got the
- 7:07Speaker 3: right temperament for the mask.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 7:10Speaker 3: McIntyre was caught making a middle finger gesture while making
- 7:15Speaker 3: a quad bogie on the fifteenth hole Thursday, and then
- 7:19Speaker 3: he also let his frustrations boil over onto the seventeenth,
- 7:23Speaker 3: where he slammed his club into the ground after his
- 7:26Speaker 3: second shot and swore on the twelfth and thirteenth.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Yep, that course, We'll do that to you, that game,
- 7:31Speaker 2: that course, and that tournament will do that to you.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I swear in particular on amen corner.
- 7:37Speaker 4: I feel like that is both an insult to the
- 7:41Speaker 4: course and to our lord.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Yeah, but who hasn't stuck up the old middle finger
- 7:45Speaker 2: to a hole after your four part of the green?
- 7:48Speaker 4: I mean, come on, can we talk about this like
- 7:50Speaker 4: the masters? Get over yourselves a little bit, like we're
- 7:53Speaker 4: talking about him getting fined for insulting the golf course.
- 7:58Speaker 4: You know what, I'm over stugats watching these poor caddies
- 8:02Speaker 4: have to wear these white jumpsuits that are ill fitting,
- 8:07Speaker 4: look terribly hot, and just the idea is they're supposed
- 8:11Speaker 4: to fade into the background so nobody notices them. They're
- 8:15Speaker 4: all I'm looking at during the tournament because I feel
- 8:17Speaker 4: so bad for them. I wish they could just wear
- 8:19Speaker 4: regular clothes with a bib like in every other tournament.
- 8:23Speaker 2: I mean, you say poor caddy, and I tell you
- 8:24Speaker 2: that Rory's caddy made probably four hundred and fifty thousand
- 8:27Speaker 2: dollars over the weekend and.
- 8:28Speaker 1: That's why they're not complaining.
- 8:30Speaker 4: But internally, I guarantee you in that locker room, they're like, yo,
- 8:33Speaker 4: this is the worst.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Yes, yes, they are.
- 8:36Speaker 3: There was something I was thinking about this weekend when
- 8:38Speaker 3: it comes to the Masters. If I told you guys,
- 8:41Speaker 3: I have two tickets for you for two days of
- 8:44Speaker 3: the Masters, you could either go Thursday Friday, Yes, Saturday Sunday.
- 8:50Speaker 1: I've done it. Yes, what a great question.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Which would you pick? Would you pick the Thursday Friday
- 8:54Speaker 3: or Saturday Sunday.
- 8:55Speaker 2: So I went and I chose the Thursday Friday. I
- 8:58Speaker 2: need to be home on the count moving day. I
- 9:01Speaker 2: need to be home on the couch. On Sunday, I
- 9:03Speaker 2: need to see all the groups. You can't do that
- 9:05Speaker 2: on the course. You can't bring your phone on the course.
- 9:07Speaker 2: You're not allowed to bring your phone on the course.
- 9:09Speaker 2: That is the great thing about Augusta.
- 9:10Speaker 1: No phones. I like that. That doesn't work for me.
- 9:13Speaker 2: On Saturday and Sunday, I need to see all the
- 9:15Speaker 2: action going on and I need jim Nantz calling it.
- 9:18Speaker 4: I just do That's it. Yeah, I said, great question.
- 9:20Speaker 4: But the more I think about it, I think there
- 9:22Speaker 4: is only one answer. Like it's got The Thursday Friday
- 9:25Speaker 4: has to be when you're going. It's not just because
- 9:27Speaker 4: of what Stu Gott said, but if what Taylor said
- 9:29Speaker 4: happens like, what if your favorite golfer that if you
- 9:31Speaker 4: have three favorite golfers and all three of them missed
- 9:33Speaker 4: the cut, then what you know, they just suck just
- 9:36Speaker 4: following who's ever's winning.
- 9:37Speaker 1: I guess.
- 9:37Speaker 2: So it's odd because I don't really know anyone outside
- 9:40Speaker 2: of I guess Tiger. But like most of my friends
- 9:43Speaker 2: who watch golf were fans of the tournaments, fans of
- 9:45Speaker 2: the majors, fans of a close finish, we don't.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Really have a favorite golfer.
- 9:49Speaker 2: There were times where I was rooting for Phil nicholsoning
- 9:52Speaker 2: to win certain tournaments. There were times when I was
- 9:54Speaker 2: rooting for Tiger Woods to win certain tournaments. But I
- 9:58Speaker 2: think most golf fans they don't particularly have a favorite golfer.
- 10:02Speaker 2: They want what we all want, which is steaks, and
- 10:05Speaker 2: we want pressure pods and pressure shots.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Towards the end of the biggest tournaments. That's yeah, rooting
- 10:10Speaker 1: for close finishes.
- 10:11Speaker 4: You know, I think they're probably a good amount of
- 10:13Speaker 4: people like me who are a bit of a fair
- 10:15Speaker 4: weather golf not golf fan, but player fan, right, like
- 10:19Speaker 4: wait to see who's gravitating toward the top and then
- 10:22Speaker 4: say one of those guys, you know just naturally, I
- 10:25Speaker 4: like more than the others. Right, Like, there was a
- 10:27Speaker 4: time where a lot of people hated Bryson de Shambeau.
- 10:30Speaker 1: I was a fan.
- 10:31Speaker 4: I liked him early on, don't like him as much anymore.
- 10:34Speaker 4: But I think, you know, with Jordan Speith was up there.
- 10:36Speaker 4: I think a lot of people he was very easy
- 10:38Speaker 4: to like, and so a lot of people gravitated towards
- 10:41Speaker 4: speak and you know, are still That's why whatever he's
- 10:43Speaker 4: lingering in a golf tournament, the TV cameras just find
- 10:46Speaker 4: him somehow, right, It's like, well, let's see what Speeth
- 10:48Speaker 4: is doing.
- 10:49Speaker 1: It's like, oh, he's only eight back, and I'm like, okay, what.
- 10:51Speaker 4: Makes you think he's going to get back in this thing?
- 10:53Speaker 4: But yeah, that's how I kind of do it. It's
- 10:55Speaker 4: just it's kind of the way you have to do it.
- 10:57Speaker 4: Find somebody that you sort of have a favor for,
- 11:01Speaker 4: you know, that's something that you just kind of like
- 11:02Speaker 4: a little bit more than the others when they happen
- 11:04Speaker 4: to be playing well.
- 11:06Speaker 2: So four guys have won back to back Masters, Jack Tiger, Rory,
- 11:11Speaker 2: and Nick Faldo. What Rory did for himself over the
- 11:13Speaker 2: last well, certainly over the weekend and certainly over the
- 11:17Speaker 2: course of the last twelve months. Is take a guy
- 11:19Speaker 2: which you know I would always criticize him and say, hey,
- 11:22Speaker 2: do it at Augusta, do it to the Masters. Well
- 11:24Speaker 2: now he's done it twice back to back, and again
- 11:28Speaker 2: it's Faldo. Think about this foursome, Faldo, Tiger, Nicholas Rory.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Those are the four guys who have done it. He
- 11:36Speaker 2: also has the career Grand Slam. He has six majors total,
- 11:40Speaker 2: I think, and he's only thirty seven years old. So
- 11:44Speaker 2: now the rest of his career, all he's trying to
- 11:46Speaker 2: do is he attack on championships, major championships and see
- 11:50Speaker 2: how close he can get to Tiger Woods.
- 11:52Speaker 1: He's in that.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Discussion of you know, one of the ten greatest golfers
- 11:55Speaker 2: of all time already.
- 11:56Speaker 4: I know the end of his second round was crazy impressive, obviously,
- 12:00Speaker 4: and I know ten years from now, nobody's going to
- 12:02Speaker 4: remember how he got this second one. But it's a
- 12:04Speaker 4: little less impressive that nobody tried to chase him down.
- 12:06Speaker 4: Nobody really got to chase him down. But Taylor has
- 12:10Speaker 4: a good question on Rory and whether you think this
- 12:12Speaker 4: is kind of an advantage for him and how he
- 12:15Speaker 4: won this second one, Stu, you.
- 12:17Speaker 3: Love golf the most here. How much of an advantage
- 12:19Speaker 3: does Rory have that he can play Augusta anytime he
- 12:23Speaker 3: wants as a member, because they asked him about it
- 12:26Speaker 3: in his postgame press conference, and this is what he
- 12:29Speaker 3: had to say.
- 12:29Speaker 6: Where you talk so much coming into this week about
- 12:32Speaker 6: your preparation. I'm curious that this is the most prepared
- 12:34Speaker 6: you feel you've been before a major championship, and what
- 12:37Speaker 6: you can take from your prep for this that you're
- 12:38Speaker 6: going to try to implement moving forward.
- 12:41Speaker 7: Yeah, I joked last week and going into this week
- 12:45Speaker 7: like this place feels like my home course. I haven't
- 12:47Speaker 7: played anywhere else in the last two or three weeks really,
- 12:52Speaker 7: so I felt prepared in that way. I felt prepared
- 12:56Speaker 7: that wherever I hit it on the golf course, I
- 12:59Speaker 7: sort of knew what to do. I know where to miss,
- 13:01Speaker 7: you know, I'm pretty comfortable with all the shots around
- 13:03Speaker 7: the greens, And yeah, I think it is it's it's
- 13:08Speaker 7: a it's a good blueprint. I'm not I said this
- 13:10Speaker 7: earlier in the week. I'm not going to take three
- 13:12Speaker 7: weeks off before every.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Major, but.
- 13:16Speaker 7: To get to the major venues early, you know, do
- 13:20Speaker 7: your preparation play and not just play and look at
- 13:24Speaker 7: things and like actually play, like go out there with
- 13:27Speaker 7: one ball, shoot a score, you know, try to try
- 13:29Speaker 7: to do it that way. I think, you know, and
- 13:31Speaker 7: I've talked to Jack Nicholas over the years about how
- 13:34Speaker 7: he prepared for majors and he would go the week
- 13:36Speaker 7: before and he would simulate a tournament. He'd play one
- 13:40Speaker 7: ball for four day's should scores because so then when
- 13:43Speaker 7: he got to the tournament that you know, it was
- 13:45Speaker 7: sort of, you know, it felt second nature to him.
- 13:48Speaker 7: So I did a little bit of that leading up
- 13:51Speaker 7: to here, and I think that's a it's certainly a
- 13:54Speaker 7: good way to prepare going into the next majors.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a big advantage should be able to play
- 14:00Speaker 2: that course and not care about the fucking Valero.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Open the week before, because.
- 14:03Speaker 2: You're getting yourself ready for Augusta, because you don't care
- 14:05Speaker 2: about winning the Voalero Open anymore. You only care about
- 14:08Speaker 2: winning that tournament. You care about winning more green jackets.
- 14:11Speaker 2: And of course that's an advantage for Rory to be
- 14:14Speaker 2: able to do that, and he took advantage of it.
- 14:16Speaker 4: He did ridiculous flex to say to anybody one ball.
- 14:20Speaker 4: I'm gonna play around with this one ball.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Come on, man, I'll lose the ball by a second hole.
- 14:25Speaker 1: I give you a whole sleeve of balls, please.
- 14:28Speaker 2: How many balls do you think you would need to
- 14:30Speaker 2: play around of Augusta?
- 14:31Speaker 7: Oh?
- 14:31Speaker 2: Like, if we're like me, you and Taylor, how many
- 14:34Speaker 2: combined balls would we need to play Augusta. I would
- 14:37Speaker 2: need at least I would need at least twenty four
- 14:40Speaker 2: for myself.
- 14:40Speaker 4: I think I'm pretty good at finding them if they're
- 14:43Speaker 4: not in the water. But the problem is my ball
- 14:45Speaker 4: seem to find the water more than any other human
- 14:47Speaker 4: being in the world.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Well, here's the problem. That place is so pristine.
- 14:51Speaker 2: There were no balls just laying around in the woods
- 14:53Speaker 2: and you can claim it as your own.
- 14:55Speaker 1: That doesn't happen there.
- 14:56Speaker 2: There's not some tailor made for from seven years ago
- 15:00Speaker 2: just laying around in the weeds and you're.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Like, hey, here's my ball, Taylor.
- 15:03Speaker 4: I've got Stu Gattz sort of pre planting golf balls
- 15:07Speaker 4: all throughout the course, just so when he got to
- 15:09Speaker 4: go look for one, he's like, where did I put
- 15:11Speaker 4: that ball?
- 15:11Speaker 1: Here? Is I put one in every hole? I mean
- 15:14Speaker 1: I've had.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Is he one thousand percent? When Stu's going into the
- 15:19Speaker 3: woods looking for his ball, he has one in his pocket.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Then he gives one look back to see if anybody's looking,
- 15:26Speaker 3: drops the ball from his pocket and goes, oh, here's
- 15:28Speaker 3: the ball I found.
- 15:29Speaker 4: Yeah, and they're all about like very intricate designs on them,
- 15:32Speaker 4: and they're very they're all the same.
- 15:33Speaker 1: So he's like, of course it's my ball, look at it.
- 15:35Speaker 1: I'm not gonna draw on fifty balls. And that's exactly
- 15:38Speaker 1: I go out of my way to show you the
- 15:39Speaker 1: little j W.
- 15:40Speaker 2: I'm put in a sharpie on every single ball, just
- 15:43Speaker 2: so you know it's there. Uh little do you know
- 15:45Speaker 2: that I have fifty more in my bag that I
- 15:47Speaker 2: have that same little JW.
- 15:49Speaker 1: There? Hey, there it is right there. That's exactly how
- 15:52Speaker 1: I would do it. And Augusta, actually we know how
- 15:54Speaker 1: many balls is I played with? Is he?
- 15:56Speaker 2: I'm telling you he would need at minimum hundred golf
- 16:00Speaker 2: balls to play that course.
- 16:02Speaker 4: Yeah, I'd have to think about how much water is
- 16:04Speaker 4: on that course, but I'd hit every available option, especially
- 16:08Speaker 4: if I have to hit over water.

- 17:56Speaker 2: Is he have What was your view of Rory before
- 17:58Speaker 2: he won these two mass like?
- 18:00Speaker 1: Has it? Has he changed you at all in terms
- 18:02Speaker 1: of how you view him?
- 18:04Speaker 4: Not really, because it just goes back to what I
- 18:06Speaker 4: was saying before about nobody going to get this from him,
- 18:09Speaker 4: because this would have been just another one of those
- 18:13Speaker 4: choke jobs I mean he was.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Would have been a collapse, Yes, yeah, it would have been.
- 18:16Speaker 4: And so the fact that he did collapse and was
- 18:19Speaker 4: still rewarded for it kind of bugs me.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Uh.
- 18:23Speaker 4: The other thing that was annoying me going into the
- 18:24Speaker 4: tournament is like he was saying how he got the
- 18:27Speaker 4: career Grand Slam, and initially he thought that would be
- 18:30Speaker 4: a destination. Like why for him, that's only five majors,
- 18:34Speaker 4: Like that's that's still a good amount of majors. But
- 18:36Speaker 4: last year when he when he completed the Grand Slam,
- 18:38Speaker 4: that was only five, Like, you want to at least
- 18:40Speaker 4: double that if you want to be one of the
- 18:41Speaker 4: greatest of all time, you want to be on the
- 18:43Speaker 4: mountain rushmore potentially, And so that bugged me a little bit.
- 18:46Speaker 4: And but no, I feel exactly the same way about
- 18:50Speaker 4: Rory today as I did three years ago.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Like I feel like he can pop up and win
- 18:53Speaker 1: any major. I feel like he is a good spokesman
- 18:57Speaker 1: for the PGA.
- 18:58Speaker 4: But this just something about Rory that makes me like
- 19:01Speaker 4: not want to cheer for him at all times. Sometimes yes,
- 19:04Speaker 4: like whenever he's going against the live guys, I'm down
- 19:06Speaker 4: to cheer for Rory. But other times it's like, okay,
- 19:09Speaker 4: like I could maybe see him being a friend of
- 19:11Speaker 4: a friend, but he wouldn't be like my friend.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Yes, he takes golf very seriously. He respects the game,
- 19:21Speaker 2: He respects the history of the game, which makes him
- 19:24Speaker 2: a great Masters champion because he cares about this stuff.
- 19:26Speaker 2: He cares about his place in history. He fought Live.
- 19:30Speaker 2: A lot of fans respect him for fighting Live. Never
- 19:34Speaker 2: went over there despite being offered him certain hundreds upon.
- 19:37Speaker 4: That's when he became one of my favorites, right when
- 19:41Speaker 4: he was just doing exactly before that, indifferent. Really he
- 19:47Speaker 4: was a nice story, you know whatever. And since then
- 19:50Speaker 4: it's been okay, like he hasn't really continued that wave.
- 19:53Speaker 2: He's just been you know, Rory again. So that's interesting.
- 19:56Speaker 2: The stance against liv has done more for Rory in
- 20:00Speaker 2: your eyes than actually winning the last two Green jackets.
- 20:03Speaker 4: In the same way that I don't cheer for John
- 20:05Speaker 4: Ram anymore, and I really liked.
- 20:08Speaker 2: John Ron Listen, he has haunted that man, okay, because
- 20:12Speaker 2: he sold his ass out and he took the money
- 20:14Speaker 2: from Live, and that man is haunted. He's not even
- 20:16Speaker 2: competing in Augusta anymore, right, right, so.
- 20:20Speaker 4: You know, And Bryson to Shamba like he's he's gone
- 20:23Speaker 4: a little too far over the over the cliff for me,
- 20:25Speaker 4: like over the ledge, like the three D printed five
- 20:28Speaker 4: iron that he brought with them.
- 20:30Speaker 1: It's just like, I don't know what's happened.
- 20:31Speaker 4: And then everything that he works on and yet he
- 20:35Speaker 4: still can't fix his short game. It's just terrible, and
- 20:37Speaker 4: so yeah, it's hard to cheer for him, but yeah,
- 20:40Speaker 4: go ahead, Taylor.
- 20:41Speaker 3: I hate to admit this.
- 20:43Speaker 2: I liked the narrative better when Rory was a joker,
- 20:47Speaker 2: really so did I. I don't have a joker anymore
- 20:52Speaker 2: outside of everyone in that field yesterday, I mean, well.
- 20:55Speaker 4: My question is, Taylor, what do you mean? Was like,
- 20:57Speaker 4: he did it again and he still won, but the
- 21:00Speaker 4: second one.
- 21:01Speaker 3: Yeah, the second he puts on that green jacket, like
- 21:04Speaker 3: the choking narrative kind of kind of goes away. There
- 21:08Speaker 3: was a moment on eighteen where I think he what
- 21:11Speaker 3: He went into the eighteenth hole with like a two
- 21:13Speaker 3: or three shot lead, and Stu Everybody's like, all he
- 21:17Speaker 3: has to do is just play this one safe. Hit
- 21:19Speaker 3: it right in the middle of the fair way. Yeah,
- 21:21Speaker 3: three putt it. Then Worey's first t shot was shanked
- 21:26Speaker 3: right and I was like, oh my god, broad.
- 21:28Speaker 1: On eighteen, Yes, he's gonna he's gonna.
- 21:30Speaker 3: Choke this somehow, and then he hit a great recovery shot.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Though he got a great bounce, he had a clean
- 21:35Speaker 2: look to the hole, so he got it up to
- 21:36Speaker 2: that sand trap. CBS had no idea where the ball was.
- 21:39Speaker 2: For forty five seconds.
- 21:40Speaker 1: No one did. I was never missed. I had no
- 21:42Speaker 1: idea what was going on? What the fuck was m dude?
- 21:46Speaker 4: Yes, you're in your living room, like, oh my god,
- 21:48Speaker 4: what's gonna happen?
- 21:49Speaker 1: Then where's the ball? I was so I was? I
- 21:51Speaker 1: was freaked out.
- 21:52Speaker 2: I mean, I had a gummy but Jim Nancy always
- 21:56Speaker 2: knows what's going on. And for forty five seconds, the
- 21:59Speaker 2: pilot was he not controlling the plane and I felt lost?
- 22:03Speaker 1: Does he have to be honest?
- 22:04Speaker 4: I think a lot of what we were saying about
- 22:07Speaker 4: Rory stands true for fans of golf, right, I think
- 22:09Speaker 4: they feel probably similar to how we feel about him.
- 22:12Speaker 4: But I think also and that it hasn't really changed much.
- 22:15Speaker 4: But I also think for his competitors it hasn't changed much.
- 22:18Speaker 4: Like if Rory ever has a big lead in a tournament,
- 22:21Speaker 4: they're all going to say, oh, this is still gettable.
- 22:22Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying.
- 22:23Speaker 4: They're not gonna say Alway's gonna run away with it
- 22:25Speaker 4: because it's just not in his reputation.
- 22:27Speaker 2: No, that's not what he does, and it's interesting. Yet
- 22:29Speaker 2: he still got away with it and he still won
- 22:31Speaker 2: the tournament. Here's the problem, and you're right, is he
- 22:34Speaker 2: with Rory? He has the career Grand Slam, he has
- 22:37Speaker 2: back to back green jackets. He's only thirty seven, thirty
- 22:40Speaker 2: eight years old, but he only has six total Grand Slams.
- 22:42Speaker 1: And to put that into perspective, this guy he cares
- 22:46Speaker 1: about the gate, he works at his craft.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Brooks Koepka, who doesn't care about the gate, barely works
- 22:53Speaker 2: at his craft, has five total major. Yes, you're right,
- 22:56Speaker 2: Rory has to stack on like four or five.
- 22:59Speaker 1: More or if we want to put him in that
- 23:01Speaker 1: Mount rushmore of golf.
- 23:02Speaker 4: Every time because I don't see him that much because
- 23:05Speaker 4: he was with Live and now he's back whatever. But
- 23:07Speaker 4: every time in the last several months and somebody mentions
- 23:10Speaker 4: brooks Kepka and how many majors he's won, I'm like, wow,
- 23:13Speaker 4: that's a little You mean the guy that.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Was coked out of the Panthers game, Like that guy
- 23:16Speaker 1: is like more of a champion than a very Taylor
- 23:21Speaker 1: very important thing.
- 23:23Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure it was a panther, yes, listen, and
- 23:27Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure he was coked out.
- 23:28Speaker 1: But allegedly is the way you go there.
- 23:33Speaker 4: I mean, I think Brooks Kepka is confirming with his.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Eyes that's exactly what he was doing.
- 23:43Speaker 2: That's got to be frustrating the golfers because there's a
- 23:46Speaker 2: lot of names. I did it name there meaning Kepka
- 23:49Speaker 2: not caring about golf and going about life the way
- 23:52Speaker 2: he goes about life.
- 23:53Speaker 1: He has one more than Scotty, and he'll probably win
- 23:57Speaker 1: five more. He's that good. Yes, yes, he is that good.
- 24:01Speaker 1: You're right, he's gonna win it Augusta. It's crazy.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Now, the question for Rory is how many more will
- 24:06Speaker 2: he win at Augusta because that's a tournament that means
- 24:08Speaker 2: the most to him in all of them.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Go ahead till it seems like the only course he's
- 24:12Speaker 3: gonna play between now and the next Masters is Augusta,
- 24:15Speaker 3: just to get ready for trying to go three pet.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Yes, right, he's gonna skip the US Open and just
- 24:20Speaker 2: play Augusta.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Well, I mean US.
- 24:22Speaker 4: Open changes sights every year, so he can't really just
- 24:25Speaker 4: play that all year long, right or every year and
- 24:27Speaker 4: get used to it.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Man, that's it is.
- 24:29Speaker 4: In all seriousness, it is such an advantage to know
- 24:31Speaker 4: like where you can miss with no concerns, like it
- 24:35Speaker 4: could be way right.
- 24:36Speaker 1: And he's just like, I'm fine, I know exactly how
- 24:38Speaker 1: to play that. Yes, yes, he knew exactly what to
- 24:41Speaker 1: do on eighteen.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Once someone told him how you got a clear shot
- 24:43Speaker 2: to the green, he just moved the gallery over to
- 24:45Speaker 2: the right, get the hell out of my way, because
- 24:47Speaker 2: of course everyone could play that shot over a big
- 24:50Speaker 2: tree and then hook it to the left and get
- 24:52Speaker 2: it up to the green from there. It would take
- 24:54Speaker 2: me seven shots just to get up to the green
- 24:56Speaker 2: from where he was.
- 24:57Speaker 1: I'm so glad you brought that up because I'd forgotten
- 24:59Speaker 1: about it. But it was my favorite part of the tournament.
- 25:01Speaker 1: That man was Moses.
- 25:02Speaker 4: He was like move, everybody, move, and everybody, and then
- 25:06Speaker 4: it just obviously I think that was that was that.
- 25:09Speaker 4: The last group was that yesterday, was that Saturday, That
- 25:12Speaker 4: was yesterday yesterday. So it's a last group, right, So
- 25:15Speaker 4: there's nobody behind him, so you don't have to worry
- 25:16Speaker 4: about you know how long they're taking, but it's taking
- 25:19Speaker 4: forever and He's just like, Nope, not enough move And
- 25:22Speaker 4: then they didn't even actually move everybody that was in
- 25:26Speaker 4: that lane, but somehow moved the exact correct amount of
- 25:31Speaker 4: people because there was still a group of people right
- 25:34Speaker 4: in front of it, but it just happened to fly
- 25:35Speaker 4: right over them.
- 25:36Speaker 1: And it's just like, how how you know to do that?
- 25:39Speaker 1: They're so good.
- 25:40Speaker 4: If I was golfing there, everybody in that line, their
- 25:42Speaker 4: life would be at stake because I was probably hit
- 25:45Speaker 4: them right between the eyes.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Did you see the pots of from Scotty Scheffler on
- 25:49Speaker 2: seventeen a hole that no one burnied yesterday?
- 25:52Speaker 1: It was within a centimeter of going in.
- 25:55Speaker 2: And if Scotty hits that butt, you saw the gallery
- 25:57Speaker 2: stand up behind him right when he hit it.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Everyone thought it was going in. That buck goes in,
- 26:02Speaker 1: those two go a go to.
- 26:04Speaker 2: A sudden death and well they're going extra golf And
- 26:07Speaker 2: it would have been so interesting to see if Scotty
- 26:08Speaker 2: would have pulled that off. Scotty left one on the
- 26:10Speaker 2: table and he knows he did, yes, Stu.
- 26:13Speaker 1: That would have been the end of rory like that.
- 26:16Speaker 1: We would have had, like can you remember that one hour.
- 26:19Speaker 4: Special they played of nineteen eighty six, the Jack Nick
- 26:22Speaker 4: this would have they would have already started the documentary
- 26:25Speaker 4: Scotti Scheffler's greatest.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Major win ever roring comeback against Rory.
- 26:30Speaker 4: It would have been effing spectacular and roryan never would
- 26:34Speaker 4: have come back from that.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Probably not, but as it stands, he wins it, and
- 26:38Speaker 2: I think Taylor is right. Rory left the door wide
- 26:41Speaker 2: open to be twelve under after two rounds and to
- 26:45Speaker 2: go even par the remainder of the way. If you
- 26:47Speaker 2: told me that was going to happen headed into Saturday,
- 26:50Speaker 2: I would have told you he would have lost the Masters,
- 26:52Speaker 2: and he had an entireher field who choked one away
- 26:56Speaker 2: because no one wanted to go and catch Rory McLeroy.
- 27:00Speaker 1: That's why I was That's why I was so disappointed
- 27:02Speaker 1: in cav I was just gonna let you go as
- 27:04Speaker 1: a play on.
- 27:06Speaker 4: That's why I was so disappointed in cam Young, because
- 27:09Speaker 4: he's usually he's usually onions like he's great. Instead he
- 27:12Speaker 4: was just averaged down the streets and it's like a
- 27:14Speaker 4: right man, give me one spectacular shot to make it
- 27:17Speaker 4: in Yes, no one wanted.
- 27:18Speaker 2: To be great yesterday except for Scotti, Scheffler's and he
- 27:21Speaker 2: was too far back to catch him.
- 27:22Speaker 3: Yes, if Rory was the biggest winner this weekend getting
- 27:27Speaker 3: his second green jacket, can I have a nominee for
- 27:31Speaker 3: the second biggest winner this weekend?
- 27:33Speaker 1: Yes?
- 27:33Speaker 4: By the way, we're just so we were just talking
- 27:35Speaker 4: about Scotty and if he's not your second business biggest winner,
- 27:38Speaker 4: I just want to drop this in here. He made
- 27:40Speaker 4: his charge for second place, which got him like two
- 27:42Speaker 4: point three million dollars. The guys that are all tied
- 27:45Speaker 4: for third place are splitting one million dollars apiece, and
- 27:48Speaker 4: it's just like.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Wow, Scotty, what an ass? What a great golfer, but
- 27:52Speaker 1: what an ass?
- 27:53Speaker 2: Yeah, but he's pissy. He doesn't have a great jacket
- 27:55Speaker 2: on today.
- 27:56Speaker 3: He is my second biggest winner, not a golfer. Somebody
- 27:59Speaker 3: in the gower, did you guys see the guy who
- 28:01Speaker 3: was wearing the egg salad hat.
- 28:04Speaker 1: No, no, no.
- 28:06Speaker 3: Look up eggs salad guy. Okay, Because there's been a
- 28:10Speaker 3: lot of talk this week and the masters about the
- 28:13Speaker 3: like the barstoolification or the youtubeification of golf and kind
- 28:18Speaker 3: of moving away from that old like traditional one. There
- 28:21Speaker 3: was a guy in the in the gallery who was
- 28:24Speaker 3: just wearing like a rope hat that just said egg salad,
- 28:27Speaker 3: and he just kind of became egg salad guy.
- 28:31Speaker 1: I'm looking at him right now.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Yeah, listen, they have great egg salad sandwiches. They have
- 28:37Speaker 2: They're like two dollars at a Gusta. They're fantastic. They
- 28:40Speaker 2: have great sandwiches in general, great food and affordable prices,
- 28:43Speaker 2: unbelievable beer.
- 28:44Speaker 4: He had multiple colors, He had multiple egg salad hats.
- 28:47Speaker 1: It wasn't just a one and stude.
- 28:49Speaker 3: The narrative around him is that people don't think he
- 28:53Speaker 3: should be wearing a hat like that at a place
- 28:56Speaker 3: like Augusta. People wanted him confiscation.
- 29:00Speaker 1: What's the word out to confiscate the hat.
- 29:03Speaker 3: People wanted the hat confiscated and him thrown off of
- 29:06Speaker 3: the perimeters.
- 29:09Speaker 2: I mean, what would you would you be surprised if
- 29:12Speaker 2: Augusta did that? I mean, because listen, listen, Augusta doesn't
- 29:15Speaker 2: want anyone, including a patron, upstaging the tournament, upstaging golf,
- 29:19Speaker 2: upstaging their weekend. And if this guy somehow was all
- 29:22Speaker 2: over social media doing that, perhaps Augusta is going to
- 29:25Speaker 2: be very mad with this guy.
- 29:26Speaker 1: It sounds ridiculous.
- 29:28Speaker 2: It's a ridiculous thing for me to say we should
- 29:30Speaker 2: be applauding this guy.
- 29:31Speaker 1: I'm going to give him a standing ovation. I'm sorry
- 29:33Speaker 1: he deserves a green jacket.
- 29:34Speaker 4: It's advertising for concessions. Why is that problem? Hey, that
- 29:39Speaker 4: made good excealad here. If he just if he just
- 29:42Speaker 4: had a hat that said good golf? Would that be bad?
- 29:45Speaker 4: Would too much attention paying to this patron?
- 29:48Speaker 1: What they find a golfer for giving a middle finger
- 29:52Speaker 1: to a hole? I mean, so which is more understandable?
- 29:58Speaker 2: Understand your course is so fucking hard that occasionally you're gonna.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Turn around and give a cal the middle finger.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Because it's difficult. What's wrong with that? That's golf? Golf
- 30:08Speaker 2: is frustrating, especially at that place.
- 30:10Speaker 3: The ache sud had it so bad that I think
- 30:12Speaker 3: I kind of like it.
- 30:13Speaker 1: I love it now. Well that's what he was, frankly for.
- 30:16Speaker 1: I was a good Eggs sout, so I would buy
- 30:18Speaker 1: a hat to celebrate that. Yeah, so what's gonna happen to?
- 30:21Speaker 1: This guy? Is gonna be banned for life.
- 30:23Speaker 3: I'll probably get a golf podcast soon.
- 30:26Speaker 4: Yeah, get that Barston merch store. I just got to
- 30:29Speaker 4: say copyright out loud. He's good there his big.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Cat negotiating with this guy right now as we speak.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Is he welcome into egg Salad today? Our guest is Brooks.
- 30:40Speaker 2: This guy is gonna be a medium fucking star because
- 30:44Speaker 2: Barstool wants him to be.
- 30:45Speaker 1: What I mean, Jesus Christ, oh my god.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Speaking of Barstool, they got Van Pelton from the Gusta
- 30:52Speaker 2: last night, right after the show.
- 30:54Speaker 1: That used to be my spot. I mean, I'm looking
- 30:58Speaker 1: at it.
- 30:59Speaker 4: They're about twenty eight eight dollars on Etsy right now.
- 31:03Speaker 1: The Egg Salad hats we should bob one.
- 31:05Speaker 2: Let's go there next year and put a hat on
- 31:08Speaker 2: tailor just so, what kind of heck can we put
- 31:10Speaker 2: on tail so we can make a splash at Augusta.
- 31:14Speaker 1: He doesn't want to do it. He's too shy to
- 31:15Speaker 1: do that. He doesn't want to do that.
- 31:24Speaker 2: Even Gee, Taylor, can we put a hat on you
- 31:28Speaker 2: next year at Augusta.
- 31:30Speaker 3: In exchange for tickets to Augusta? Yeah, I'll wear a.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Hat, you will and become a social media darling there.
- 31:37Speaker 3: We're gonna have to really fine tune the phrase.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Because they're gonna be on. You know, they're gonna be
- 31:43Speaker 1: They're gonna be on extra lookout next year for these hats.
- 31:45Speaker 4: I mean, I'm reading some of the responses from these hats,
- 31:49Speaker 4: and I just think people just don't know what to
- 31:52Speaker 4: complain about. So one ex user wrote, get that loser
- 31:56Speaker 4: with the egg salad hat behind the sixteenth tee off
- 31:59Speaker 4: the msses of Augusta. Now, okay, imagine going to the
- 32:06Speaker 4: different person. Imagine going to the Masters, having a chance
- 32:08Speaker 4: to buy merch for the greatest and most tradition based
- 32:11Speaker 4: event in the US and buying a hat that just
- 32:14Speaker 4: says egg Salad on it.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Jail. Yeah, I love the hat. Why are these people complaining?
- 32:20Speaker 4: And then another user said egg Salad Master's hat might
- 32:23Speaker 4: be the worst thing I've ever seen.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Who would buy that? A lot of people.
- 32:29Speaker 2: I'm buying one right now, and no one respects that
- 32:33Speaker 2: place in that tournament more than I do. But holy shit, Augusta,
- 32:37Speaker 2: get over yourself talking back.
- 32:38Speaker 1: To egg Salad brought to you by Duke's the best
- 32:40Speaker 1: Mayo round.
- 32:41Speaker 2: Do we know if anyone in Augusta is complaining about
- 32:43Speaker 2: this or just the patrons are, Because if the patrons are,
- 32:46Speaker 2: who care about that tournament? I care about it just
- 32:48Speaker 2: as much as you do. Shut the fuck up.
- 32:50Speaker 1: And get over it. I mean, what do we do.
- 32:52Speaker 1: It's a hat, I say onto Augusta.
- 32:55Speaker 4: Master's officials are happy it's got the Master's colors on it.
- 32:59Speaker 4: It's uh, you know, tradition based. It's a rope hat,
- 33:02Speaker 4: which everybody seems to love these days. I don't think
- 33:04Speaker 4: the Master's officials have any issue with it.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Well why would they? So those are people?
- 33:08Speaker 2: Maybe do those people care about Augusta that much in
- 33:12Speaker 2: the tradition of the masters that much where they're going
- 33:15Speaker 2: to get upset about that hat?
- 33:16Speaker 1: Or are they upset because they didn't think of it first?
- 33:19Speaker 1: Because this guy is a star.
- 33:20Speaker 4: Listen, everybody that I just wrote a commented on x
- 33:24Speaker 4: about that exalt hat are the worst golf fans on
- 33:27Speaker 4: the planet.
- 33:28Speaker 1: We already know that.
- 33:29Speaker 4: We don't have to know any more information other than, oh,
- 33:31Speaker 4: they complained about a hat that was in the background.
- 33:34Speaker 1: And you guys, yeah.
- 33:36Speaker 3: Golf Twitter in general is one of my least favorite
- 33:39Speaker 3: twitters because I remember there was a time where you
- 33:42Speaker 3: can't post a video of you playing golf without golf
- 33:46Speaker 3: Twitter coming to the video and giving you forty thousand pointers.
- 33:51Speaker 1: That you need to ask for.
- 33:52Speaker 3: It's like every coach, I just want to go out.
- 33:54Speaker 3: I just want to enjoy my day, my Sunday playing golf.
- 33:57Speaker 3: I don't need you to tell me keep your elbow
- 33:59Speaker 3: tucked in here and really extend that follow through. It's like,
- 34:03Speaker 3: just just let me be pleased.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Listen, it's on you.
- 34:05Speaker 2: If you're posting videos of yourself playing golf, you get
- 34:07Speaker 2: what's coming to you, because that's what golf fans are
- 34:09Speaker 2: gonna do.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Hey, this is how you fix this. This is how
- 34:11Speaker 1: you fix that. Then they go out and shoot a
- 34:13Speaker 1: fucking ninety four in their own course. Everybody wants the teacher. Listen.
- 34:18Speaker 2: The last thing I want is chips from a golfer
- 34:20Speaker 2: who plays about as much as I do.
- 34:22Speaker 1: When I'm up on the sea taking a t shot,
- 34:24Speaker 1: I want to hear from you. Give me along.
- 34:26Speaker 2: Keep your arm straight, shut the fuck up, keep your
- 34:29Speaker 2: eye on the ball, keep your head down. I told
- 34:30Speaker 2: that to Mike Ryan, and Jay Bellis walked by at
- 34:32Speaker 2: Lake Tahoe and said.
- 34:33Speaker 1: That's the worst advice I've ever heard.
- 34:37Speaker 4: I still haven't gotten over Chris Cody trying to fix
- 34:41Speaker 4: everything wrong with my golf swing by saying it's all
- 34:44Speaker 4: about tempo.
- 34:45Speaker 1: Man, Well, he's good. If he would have told.
- 34:51Speaker 4: Me that one more time, I would have hit him
- 34:53Speaker 4: with my golf club. It's all about tempo. Is not
- 34:56Speaker 4: what you tell somebody who has no idea what he's doing.
- 35:00Speaker 2: There, Taylor is he was so upset. I'll never forget
- 35:03Speaker 2: the hole. It was the eleventh hole Parkland Golfing Country Club.
- 35:07Speaker 2: I remember like it was yesterday. Well because Greg Cody
- 35:09Speaker 2: had that amazing three on the tenth hole where he
- 35:13Speaker 2: hit a ground ball from two hundred and twelve yards
- 35:16Speaker 2: away to within four inch from the hole. It's the
- 35:21Speaker 2: greatest shot I have ever seen anywhere in golf, and
- 35:23Speaker 2: I'm including Augusta. And then the next hole is he
- 35:26Speaker 2: got up it's a par three. The eleventh hole, I've
- 35:29Speaker 2: talked about it before. Mike Ryan hit the greatest t
- 35:31Speaker 2: shot of all time. It's one hundred and thirty three yards.
- 35:34Speaker 4: Mike had a driver stuck in five feet from the
- 35:38Speaker 4: ground the entire time.
- 35:39Speaker 1: Yes, so is he hit a shot.
- 35:40Speaker 2: It was so bad And Taylor, I'm telling you, he
- 35:42Speaker 2: threw his club further than the ball went. He was
- 35:47Speaker 2: Chris Cody is just sitting there going tempo man,
