AC Transit Fare Hikes Starting July 1 | Oakland News
AC Transit is hitting you with another fare hike starting July 1st—cash riders pay $3 (up a quarter), Clipper/card users pay $2.75 (up 25 cents). Youth and seniors still get discounts. This is the second of two summer increases approved last year, following a 2019 freeze. Transbay fares also jumped 50 cents. The agency cites soaring operating costs and a projected $200 million deficit over four years. To stave off service cuts, AC Transit is backing a November sales tax measure for stable funding.
