- 0:56Speaker 2: with you. Write in early on Monday more. What a
- 1:01Speaker 2: beautiful day outside little Chili here in Atlanta. But the
- 1:05Speaker 2: sun is out, the sky is clear. And for all
- 1:10Speaker 2: you that continue to forget, we're still in April. We're
- 1:14Speaker 2: still in spring. So that's kind of how the weather goes.
- 1:19Speaker 2: You get soul as humans attached to how you want things.
- 1:26Speaker 2: It's only a couple of hot days you go forgetting. No,
- 1:30Speaker 2: it's not June.
- 1:32Speaker 3: If it would.
- 1:33Speaker 2: June, and then this would have happened. You'd had all
- 1:35Speaker 2: those hot days and then a cold front, then we
- 1:38Speaker 2: can talk. But it's April. It's still spring, so you
- 1:41Speaker 2: get the mix. The bad producers in the building, command you.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Greg is in the building. Big Kenny, the funny man
- 1:49Speaker 2: is in the building today. The Boston Marathon taking place
- 1:54Speaker 2: this morning, one hundred and thirtieth Boston Marathon over eight cities.
- 2:00Speaker 2: They run those twenty six miles throughout that Massachusetts area,
- 2:05Speaker 2: so that will be on, But make sure you catch
- 2:07Speaker 2: it about by eleven because it'll be over. You know
- 2:10Speaker 2: how they be getting out there. It's a fascinating ability
- 2:14Speaker 2: to run twenty six miles and like two hours. So
- 2:20Speaker 2: don't sit there and tune in and looking for me.
- 2:23Speaker 2: See I'll be It'll be three fifteen by the time
- 2:26Speaker 2: I got cross the line, but these people will be
- 2:28Speaker 2: done by the by.
- 2:29Speaker 4: Lunch three fifteen tomorrow. No, you're talking about three fifteen
- 2:35Speaker 4: this afternoon. Oh yeah, marathon. Okay, you could run twenty
- 2:39Speaker 4: six miles in a day, Yes, sir, that's awesome.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Yes, that's awesome. Faduce, I'm gonna get to camp. They've
- 2:48Speaker 3: done that.
- 2:48Speaker 2: I can walk six, I can walk five six miles
- 2:51Speaker 2: in an hour. Ye, so yeah, if I chose to
- 2:55Speaker 2: go out and and yeah that's right, yeah, yeah, so
- 2:58Speaker 2: twenty six Yeah, we.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Could do it. Because if we walk in there, if
- 3:02Speaker 3: I ain't gotta run, I can do it.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Nike, I don't know. I wouldn't. I wouldn't. I wouldn't.
- 3:10Speaker 2: I wouldn't advise you to participate at all.
- 3:13Speaker 3: You don't even want to let him walk?
- 3:15Speaker 2: No, that's that day, get left behind in round mile eleven.
- 3:23Speaker 2: If I don't know me, I keep a eye on. No,
- 3:29Speaker 2: I would tell the ambulance and all those No, I
- 3:31Speaker 2: would let him, I'm saying, but I would alert people
- 3:33Speaker 2: to make sure this is one to keep your eye.
- 3:35Speaker 4: On number twenty seven. Don't come through here in the
- 3:38Speaker 4: next hour. Keep your eye on looking for him, for him.
- 3:41Speaker 4: But the Boston Marathon is to this morning at nine
- 3:45Speaker 4: a m. I did read one note that Nike, because
- 3:49Speaker 4: they had a little campaign where they said runners wanted,
- 3:54Speaker 4: walkers tolerated and everybody. It seems like a few people
- 3:58Speaker 4: got insulted that they felt like Nike was admonishing them.
- 4:04Speaker 4: They called it some kind of you know, something shamy,
- 4:08Speaker 4: some kind of shaming. Yeah, so they took the banner down.
- 4:12Speaker 4: Nobody has a funny bone. Well, and I'd like to
- 4:15Speaker 4: ask just to.
- 4:16Speaker 2: You ever know that they don't actually have a funny
- 4:20Speaker 2: bone about they look at everything that's to find out
- 4:25Speaker 2: how it's negative towards something somebody.
- 4:29Speaker 6: Everything's an insult, even the that's something where I did
- 4:35Speaker 6: you wouldn't have said anything. You just mentioned a person's name.
- 4:37Speaker 6: But people are like listening to, oh, well, what.
- 4:39Speaker 3: Did he mean?
- 4:40Speaker 6: What was the tone in which that person's name was said?
- 4:43Speaker 6: Trying to find that inso.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Right, and.
- 4:46Speaker 4: Wow, I don't know, maybe I'm confused. I'm gonna look
- 4:50Speaker 4: up the definition of the word marathon. I think twenty
- 4:54Speaker 4: six points. No, I'm saying, I'm I mean, isn't it
- 5:01Speaker 4: a an activity that requires running? I thought a marathon
- 5:06Speaker 4: was all because of the story.
- 5:08Speaker 6: The story of why we call it a marathon is
- 5:14Speaker 6: it's something during Greek or Roman times where Sola was
- 5:17Speaker 6: reporting that our army defeated their army, and the marim
- 5:23Speaker 6: there all the way to the city of Marathon, right,
- 5:26Speaker 6: and it was twenty six point two miles.
- 5:29Speaker 4: So I'm saying, this person didn't amble, this person didn't stroll,
- 5:35Speaker 4: this person didn't leisurely walk, this person ran and so
- 5:41Speaker 4: in all, in all distribution of things that I've known
- 5:46Speaker 4: to be classified as marathons, they were actually foot races.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Well, people were running. What we would need to do
- 5:52Speaker 2: is go back in our history here in our country
- 5:57Speaker 2: and see how as much of it as we could find.
- 6:00Speaker 2: How did the first marathon start? And was it all runners?
- 6:06Speaker 2: Because just like everything that we do here in the US,
- 6:09Speaker 2: we keep adding and adding and adding, so that first
- 6:13Speaker 2: race could have been.
- 6:14Speaker 3: All runners, all runners.
- 6:16Speaker 4: And then one day somebody said, hey, we let the
- 6:18Speaker 4: wheelchair guys get in, and they yeah, well.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Well not just not just the disabled, but people who
- 6:25Speaker 2: actually was just going to walk it. Because even here
- 6:27Speaker 2: in Atlanta when they have the Peach Street road race,
- 6:31Speaker 2: there are some people that don't intend on running.
- 6:34Speaker 4: They just come out there and we're race and get
- 6:36Speaker 4: the T shirt. Yeah, they're gonna walk it the whole time.
- 6:39Speaker 4: They didn't run half got tired and started walking. They
- 6:42Speaker 4: walked the whole event. So they are calling this pace pace,
- 6:50Speaker 4: pace shaming, pace shame right by by this signage, and
- 6:57Speaker 4: was that freeze I want to get?
- 7:00Speaker 3: Says runners welcome, walkers tolerated. Yeah, somebody wants to get
- 7:04Speaker 3: home before three o'clock.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Well those people, those people used to be called spectators
- 7:11Speaker 2: of the Boston Manath. That's what I just said, big Kenny.
- 7:14Speaker 2: As we have developed because our need to imagine that
- 7:24Speaker 2: everything is for everybody causes issue as that continues to grow.
- 7:35Speaker 3: The sport.
- 7:36Speaker 2: I went and played NFL. It said not for long.
- 7:39Speaker 2: It said, first day of practice, this is not for everybody.
- 7:44Speaker 2: We're not going to change the rules. We're not going
- 7:47Speaker 2: to modify it. This is a sport that you come
- 7:52Speaker 2: out and get to decide you're not. There's nothing wrong
- 7:56Speaker 2: with this is not for.
- 7:59Speaker 4: You on track team, sir, Yes, you remember the first
- 8:02Speaker 4: day of track practice.
- 8:03Speaker 3: Everybody want to try it.
- 8:03Speaker 4: For a track team had to do one or two
- 8:06Speaker 4: laps around the track in a certain amount of time.
- 8:09Speaker 2: If you could make the little time, you ain't. But
- 8:12Speaker 2: that that is an old idea. Oh man, it ain't.
- 8:16Speaker 4: It's track and trying to make everything I'm saying, and
- 8:20Speaker 4: that's and you are correcting.
- 8:22Speaker 2: But if problem, if I have enough people that don't
- 8:24Speaker 2: make the time, I'm going to have the coach or
- 8:28Speaker 2: the time adjusted, or we will come up with some
- 8:31Speaker 2: kind of other to make it will make a race.
- 8:34Speaker 2: I go the track meets all the time, We'll make
- 8:37Speaker 2: a race for you. Where the third group it's just
- 8:43Speaker 2: people who you no longer had a right to put
- 8:47Speaker 2: off the team. The first two rounds were the people
- 8:52Speaker 2: who actually were going.
- 8:54Speaker 3: The third group were people that the schools are just
- 8:59Speaker 3: no longer.
- 9:00Speaker 4: We're allowed date an age out of daycare day, Mama
- 9:03Speaker 4: work till seven, so you gonna run cross country? It's
- 9:09Speaker 4: I understand that the gates have been open, and now
- 9:14Speaker 4: you have to explain to people why they can't participate
- 9:18Speaker 4: instead of them having to prove to you that they can.
- 9:22Speaker 4: And I think that's unfortunate. It may be an unpopular opinion,
- 9:26Speaker 4: but I think that things that are supposed to be
- 9:31Speaker 4: earned should be But let's go.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Back to you just talking about track.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Right, If you go out to the track now, people
- 9:40Speaker 2: don't even offer track courtesy mean that once I recognize
- 9:47Speaker 2: we're all jogging and you three gentlemen are at a
- 9:51Speaker 2: pace faster than me, I move out of the first
- 9:55Speaker 2: and second lane. Courtesy is to move out. It's not
- 9:59Speaker 2: for them to have to adjust to me. It's for
- 10:04Speaker 2: me to have recognized they are lapping me. I moved
- 10:11Speaker 2: out and that's where I run to allow them to run.
- 10:16Speaker 3: But most people, they wish like driving.
- 10:18Speaker 2: On a highway, they're in it. They plan on going
- 10:22Speaker 2: from Atlanta to Key West.
- 10:28Speaker 3: They don't care how many you could. Just you be.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Thinking with four cars pass I surely when I get up,
- 10:34Speaker 2: because the three in front of me pass you, So
- 10:36Speaker 2: I know when I get up behind, you're going to
- 10:38Speaker 2: move to the right right.
- 10:39Speaker 7: Surely you would, because because remember the three cars just
- 10:43Speaker 7: went around your passed.
- 10:47Speaker 3: Right around me too.
- 10:50Speaker 2: That's the thought process, and that's out and it's the
- 10:52Speaker 2: same thing, I'm quite sure. Maybe the first marathon it was,
- 10:56Speaker 2: and then as it gathered and people the spectators started.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Now I want to see if they could do it right.
- 11:03Speaker 4: And that's just how But now, come on, now, what
- 11:05Speaker 4: I'm saying is it's twenty six mile race.
- 11:09Speaker 3: How many miles have you run recently?
- 11:11Speaker 2: None?
- 11:11Speaker 3: Maybe not? Why do you why do you think flag
- 11:14Speaker 3: football is becoming what it is? Because I couldn't play
- 11:18Speaker 3: in not for loon.
- 11:19Speaker 2: I couldn't play and not for long, and so so
- 11:22Speaker 2: now I can play in a version of.
- 11:25Speaker 3: Kind of like that sword right and live out mind.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Because I can't play if not for long, because they
- 11:32Speaker 2: hit hard. Now I can find me something where it's
- 11:37Speaker 2: not hitting is not allowed, it's accidental contact.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Oh, it's the open mic night without booing.
- 11:44Speaker 2: The biggest The biggest sports on our planet is soccer. Man,
- 11:49Speaker 2: Why ready everybody play soccer? Everybody play on the whole globe.
- 11:56Speaker 2: You're going to get a pickup game. You can build
- 11:58Speaker 2: a goal. He needs a ball.
- 12:01Speaker 4: And in the back to what you said you need
- 12:02Speaker 4: is imaginary line.
- 12:05Speaker 8: Back to what you said earlier. Why does everybody feel
- 12:07Speaker 8: like they got to be in or they in? The
- 12:09Speaker 8: Internet has made everyone feel like they're inclusive, they're involved.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Well, that's you the Internet. I'm saying of Internet. It
- 12:17Speaker 2: started before that. This there's a picture of you by
- 12:20Speaker 2: the word internet generation.
- 12:22Speaker 3: That's responsible alcohol. But he is.
- 12:26Speaker 8: He was born in April, so we did have something
- 12:28Speaker 8: to help invent in that. Al Gore, So we probably
- 12:32Speaker 8: who is al Gore? It was governor of Tennessee and
- 12:35Speaker 8: then vice president. Okay, I'll be back the Sports Jock
- 12:41Speaker 8: Show right after that. He got that off the Internet.
- 12:46Speaker 2: That snoopogi else like.
- 12:51Speaker 9: Doctor John't go Awayne Born of the Sports Jock Show

- 15:24Speaker 10: to the next level.
- 15:26Speaker 14: Show a boat me so.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Backstreet On.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Welcome back to the Sports Stock Show. I'm the Sports
- 15:43Speaker 2: Shock Wayne Candy. Good morning to you out there and listening. U.
- 15:49Speaker 2: What a busy weekend of sport all around, everything that
- 15:53Speaker 2: you wanted all kind of colloded. Spring football, My boy,
- 15:58Speaker 2: Roddy White down at UAB. We said it's gonna get
- 16:02Speaker 2: in the mix this year. Yet spring football, college, women's softball,
- 16:07Speaker 2: baseball on all levels. The bad producer was in here
- 16:12Speaker 2: telling me early for you guys got here that some
- 16:14Speaker 2: kid cursed him out for a bad call. I guess
- 16:18Speaker 2: they're not using robots on the high school level yet. No,
- 16:23Speaker 2: so this was on the baseball field, because you know,
- 16:25Speaker 2: bad producers subject to have just kids, just random places
- 16:30Speaker 2: that he's just at the wing spot and something, little
- 16:32Speaker 2: dude and hey, you can get out my faint Yeah.
- 16:36Speaker 15: I'm leaving to the NBA Playoffs kicked off Round one,
- 16:43Speaker 15: the NFL Draft, the Raids on the clock for Thursday night,
- 16:50Speaker 15: remember Thursday night, Round one, just round one.
- 16:56Speaker 2: They have they made it a whole four day thing.
- 16:59Speaker 2: It's it's amazing that that's another problem. They went from uh,
- 17:06Speaker 2: it was just two days, it was time to four days.
- 17:12Speaker 4: The first day was the day when you guys would go,
- 17:15Speaker 4: The second day was today when they would just call
- 17:18Speaker 4: the dudes, the people who never went to the actual draft,
- 17:21Speaker 4: and then by the third day it would be over.
- 17:24Speaker 4: Now guys have gone and visited their teams and are
- 17:30Speaker 4: onto other parts of life before they even get to
- 17:33Speaker 4: the end of the draft.
- 17:35Speaker 3: So we played together.
- 17:37Speaker 4: But I've been in the NFL two days longer than
- 17:41Speaker 4: you have and you're not even on the board.
- 17:43Speaker 2: That's called deference. I guess I don't know. It's called capitalism.
- 17:50Speaker 2: That's what it is. That's all it's called. Is not done.
- 17:53Speaker 2: It doesn't enhance the team. I would imagine the teams,
- 17:58Speaker 2: the people would to go back to the two day
- 18:01Speaker 2: system so they can get a break. They've spent the
- 18:06Speaker 2: last three months putting this together. Most teams they're lucky
- 18:13Speaker 2: to have seven picks. You look at the Falcons here
- 18:19Speaker 2: in Atlanta, they don't even have a first round pick
- 18:22Speaker 2: without some kind of movement to try to create one.
- 18:26Speaker 2: So they don't have six. You I need four days
- 18:29Speaker 2: to pick six people. We got to pay all this
- 18:33Speaker 2: stat but already, but I already know the first two
- 18:36Speaker 2: people I'm going to try to get like that's the indecision.
- 18:40Speaker 6: Excuse me, that indecision, Like we need more time. We
- 18:43Speaker 6: got all these options and okay, this team, this player,
- 18:47Speaker 6: but so we got to have backups and then.
- 18:52Speaker 2: PEPSI, Nike, Gatorade. I was gonna say, where's the draft
- 18:55Speaker 2: this year? You can play the NFL for that, Pittsburgh.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Excuse me, you can blame the NFL for that, Like, Okay,
- 19:01Speaker 2: we're gonna make it four days now, Well that's but
- 19:04Speaker 2: that's the NFL. Are the owners, the scouts, the GM.
- 19:12Speaker 2: This was not their plan. They just got an email
- 19:16Speaker 2: that said, we're gonna do these things, right, yeah.
- 19:20Speaker 6: I mean, I mean, like the league. They just got
- 19:22Speaker 6: an email the administrative part of the league bright like
- 19:28Speaker 6: is is doing this was what they wanted to do.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Well, you're you're you're you're you're missing what I'm saying.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Jerry Jones and the other thirty two people. They wanted
- 19:41Speaker 2: to make it four days, wanted to make money, and
- 19:44Speaker 2: you work for me, so you'll be in Pittsburgh for
- 19:49Speaker 2: John John Lynch, the GM of the forty nine ers.
- 19:53Speaker 2: He had no saying this, don't want four days. He
- 19:57Speaker 2: can get this done in two. When the draft was
- 20:05Speaker 2: thirteen rounds, they did it in two. Now it's eight,
- 20:09Speaker 2: and they take.
- 20:09Speaker 3: The owners of the teams wanted.
- 20:13Speaker 2: This, Yes, because here we are live from Pittsburgh with
- 20:18Speaker 2: the third day of the NFL Draft.
- 20:20Speaker 6: Now, I would think that the league, as far as
- 20:23Speaker 6: like the front officer of the NFL, wanted that too.
- 20:28Speaker 2: No, why for the same reason to make money? How
- 20:32Speaker 2: would I make money by making picks? I don't want
- 20:35Speaker 2: to go to commercial break. I'm saying the league is
- 20:38Speaker 2: making money by with the advertising, right, but.
- 20:43Speaker 3: I'm not making the official. The official my.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Salary said one hundred and forty seven thousand dollars. I
- 20:49Speaker 2: want maybe, just maybe just Roger Goodell. Then all right, well,
- 20:52Speaker 2: Roger Goodell's money is set. Each team pay me Roger
- 20:58Speaker 2: to Goodell one million dollars to be the lawyer they
- 21:02Speaker 2: got to make. They make some money off of advertising
- 21:04Speaker 2: in some way. But with all the partnerships that like
- 21:09Speaker 2: owners do so it's like you're not understanding. There is
- 21:15Speaker 2: the owners and then there's the player.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Right.
- 21:17Speaker 2: If I could make it right nine days, I would
- 21:19Speaker 2: as an owner, I do understand that, But isn't the
- 21:24Speaker 2: league also making money off of this? The league is
- 21:28Speaker 2: the thirty two owners, right, so those official like whatever
- 21:35Speaker 2: product of the NFL that is just going to up.
- 21:42Speaker 3: We are the NFL, the TV, the player. The player
- 21:46Speaker 3: doesn't get any of the parking.
- 21:52Speaker 4: Concessions them b we all we got, you know, not
- 21:57Speaker 4: to stay in one place to make the product, one
- 22:00Speaker 4: place to connect the player.
- 22:02Speaker 2: The players get roughly fifty of TV revenue and then
- 22:12Speaker 2: a small percentage of other little things that are out there.
- 22:19Speaker 2: But when mister Blank charges you one hundred dollars for parking,
- 22:23Speaker 2: that has nothing to do with Michael Pennox.
- 22:27Speaker 3: And that's not an imaginary.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Jerry Jones created Jerry's world to make money from the
- 22:35Speaker 2: other parts of it. That's that that has nothing. That's
- 22:43Speaker 2: that's how it works. So what benefit was it for
- 22:48Speaker 2: me to be here all day? You wanted to add commercials?
- 22:53Speaker 2: A football player? You know, it's just the dog that
- 22:57Speaker 2: goes with.
- 22:57Speaker 6: The saying it's the it's the team owners get everything.
- 23:02Speaker 2: No, I'm they get enough that most of this is
- 23:05Speaker 2: just done for you. That couple of five dollars and
- 23:08Speaker 2: I'm saying that GM that player scout. They just on
- 23:13Speaker 2: a set salary.
- 23:18Speaker 4: So if he's there for four days or two days,
- 23:21Speaker 4: he's gonna make the same amount of money, but he's
- 23:23Speaker 4: gonna be away from whatever it is he values everything
- 23:26Speaker 4: for that amount of time. The owners, meanwhile, we'll be
- 23:30Speaker 4: having people go here, we are on day number three,
- 23:32Speaker 4: and now we've got picks number seventy eight through number
- 23:35Speaker 4: ninety four, and this guy at seventy eight, he looks
- 23:38Speaker 4: like he should have went about number sixty.
- 23:39Speaker 2: It's the same reason the NFL. The player, the owners
- 23:43Speaker 2: didn't give up the preseason, and they want to extend
- 23:46Speaker 2: in the preseason. In the preseason, they were making most
- 23:49Speaker 2: of the money because they were only playing. In the preseason,
- 23:52Speaker 2: you only have to play each player two grand a game.
- 23:57Speaker 2: Those are their real money makers. I don't get real
- 24:03Speaker 2: salary in preseason game, so when the season start, I
- 24:07Speaker 2: get half me if Patrick Mahons get half million dollars
- 24:10Speaker 2: a game, million dollars a game.
- 24:13Speaker 3: But in the preseason, he just.
- 24:15Speaker 2: Liked the last dude we all get to check to say,
- 24:17Speaker 2: like two grand. The owner still gets all that all
- 24:23Speaker 2: that TV money, don't be more sports shock show. Right
- 24:28Speaker 2: after this.
- 24:29Speaker 3: Brother, we gonna come off like the mall.
- 24:43Speaker 9: Don't Go awayne board of the Sports John Show with

- 26:00Speaker 3: do have one question for the veterans listening.
- 26:03Speaker 16: When is the last time you reached out for help?
- 26:07Speaker 7: If you or someone you know needs resources, whether it's
- 26:10Speaker 7: for stress, finances, employment, or mental health, don't wait, reach out.

- 26:18Speaker 3: That's VA doc slash.

- 26:24Speaker 18: Nobody had to tell your grandparents not to drive all
- 26:27Speaker 18: using their typewriters. Why should it be any different for
- 26:31Speaker 18: us kids and our cell phones. Distracted driving was the
- 26:34Speaker 18: cause of more than three thousand deaths in twenty twenty two.
- 26:38Speaker 3: Come on, we're smarter than this.
- 26:40Speaker 18: Let's put down the phones and focus on the roads.
- 26:43Speaker 18: Drive safe, everybody.
- 26:46Speaker 19: Don't drive distracted. A message brought to you by the
- 26:48Speaker 19: National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Project yellow Light, and the
- 26:52Speaker 19: AD Council.
- 26:55Speaker 3: And now back to the sports job. Wayne Gandy in
- 27:03Speaker 3: the red Zone. Excite new tank, Roll up.
- 27:16Speaker 2: All, Welcome back to this boy shock shot this boy
- 27:22Speaker 2: shock Quayne Candy can match you, Greg, bad producer, big
- 27:25Speaker 2: kidding in the building, can't match you.
- 27:27Speaker 3: Greg.
- 27:27Speaker 2: Just remember, like when the draft happens there, why would
- 27:31Speaker 2: the players get any of that money? Why would This
- 27:36Speaker 2: is not football season, this is off season, so everything
- 27:40Speaker 2: would be everything that goes on, any money that's made
- 27:43Speaker 2: by the combine. That's what they put it on TV.
- 27:45Speaker 2: These are the ways that the owners found a way
- 27:47Speaker 2: to make money for themselves.
- 27:52Speaker 3: That makes sense.
- 27:53Speaker 6: I mean, I understand that these players aren't making money
- 27:57Speaker 6: off those events.
- 27:58Speaker 2: You don't get money for getting drafted. They don't pay
- 28:01Speaker 2: you to come to New York, your advertisers and all
- 28:06Speaker 2: those people. You could be sure the Ikey and Gatorade.
- 28:10Speaker 3: Excuse me, is that done? The players had to be
- 28:13Speaker 3: invited or.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Well, yeah, if you're a first rounder. I declined my invitation.
- 28:18Speaker 2: They weren't like, oh, here's gonna be some money. You
- 28:21Speaker 2: may they have offered me money. Sure, they offered me
- 28:24Speaker 2: a flight in some hotel, but they didn't say, hey,
- 28:27Speaker 2: got fifty thousand dollars for you to come up to
- 28:29Speaker 2: the draft. Hey, they want you to be there and
- 28:32Speaker 2: then you you gonna get that out. You can draft
- 28:36Speaker 2: like they started just on the phone. We get this draft,
- 28:40Speaker 2: but we learned to create an atmosphere on how we're
- 28:45Speaker 2: gonna do it, and we take this time. That's why
- 28:49Speaker 2: we put the combine to combine. Then it used to
- 28:51Speaker 2: be on TV, but we found Oh y'all watch content,
- 28:55Speaker 2: sports content. Sports has taken over the world. It's the
- 28:59Speaker 2: number one consumed information port that we have. It's not
- 29:03Speaker 2: religion anymore, it's not politics anymore everything. That's why the politicians,
- 29:09Speaker 2: the religious leaders, the actors, Hollywood, the music people, they
- 29:13Speaker 2: all go to sporting events that almost kick off.
- 29:17Speaker 3: What they about to do. But the owners, they make
- 29:23Speaker 3: their money.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Last week was the draft as Fudd drafted to the
- 29:27Speaker 2: Dallas Wings, and then that exploded. Why are we so consumed?
- 29:33Speaker 2: I know the bab do so because he's a social
- 29:35Speaker 2: media is it?
- 29:36Speaker 3: Just? Yeah?
- 29:38Speaker 2: Do y'all want not find it fascinating how nosy we
- 29:42Speaker 2: are and because how nosy we are hers, it's not
- 29:48Speaker 2: even being aware that you're being nosy. You just some
- 29:51Speaker 2: people just think they have a right to know. Being
- 29:56Speaker 2: drafted by the Dallas Wings with the first pick last week,
- 30:01Speaker 2: at her press conference the next day, A reporter decided
- 30:06Speaker 2: to ask about a Z and the rumor because we
- 30:13Speaker 2: don't have any evidence that the romance is still going
- 30:16Speaker 2: on of her and Paige Beckers, who were teammates at
- 30:21Speaker 2: Yukon Page Beckers was the first pick of the Dallas
- 30:24Speaker 2: Wings last year, and the reporter asked, had Azy and
- 30:32Speaker 2: Page talked to any other couples in the league about
- 30:36Speaker 2: how to negotiate the dynamic of playing together. The Dallas
- 30:42Speaker 2: Wings public relations person stepped in and let the reporter
- 30:52Speaker 2: know that A Z was not going to answer that question.
- 31:00Speaker 2: By doing that, everybody decided that the Dallar Swings, Azy Fudd,
- 31:06Speaker 2: Paige Becker's and anybody involved was wrong for not needing
- 31:11Speaker 2: to share that information. Why is that wrong, bad producer?
- 31:18Speaker 8: Well, the only reason I can say is I think
- 31:21Speaker 8: that it could be wrong is because of the fact
- 31:23Speaker 8: that they were at an open press conference. There was
- 31:26Speaker 8: no If there was no information out about you can't
- 31:29Speaker 8: ask this question or we want to stay away from this.
- 31:32Speaker 8: So the reporter just asked the question, and the PR
- 31:35Speaker 8: team stepped in and said, no, I don't know why
- 31:40Speaker 8: you asked the question.
- 31:41Speaker 3: I didn't even know they was in a relationship. So
- 31:45Speaker 3: that's all new to me.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Okay, what why was the public relations why did they
- 31:53Speaker 2: step in being or why why do people think the
- 31:56Speaker 2: public relations was wrong?
- 31:57Speaker 3: Correct?
- 31:59Speaker 6: Well, they said, like people, there are some people who
- 32:02Speaker 6: think they have the right to know about public figures
- 32:09Speaker 6: personal lives, whether they're actually dating or still dating or whatever.
- 32:16Speaker 6: This this press conference was about her being drafted to
- 32:20Speaker 6: the team. I mean you could ask about her being
- 32:28Speaker 6: teammates with Page and like what has she talked to
- 32:32Speaker 6: Page about basketball? But anything personal I feel like that
- 32:38Speaker 6: is off limits in this in this setting. And I
- 32:43Speaker 6: don't I think people think they just like, oh, we
- 32:45Speaker 6: supposed we're supposed to know, we're supposed to know everything
- 32:47Speaker 6: about you. You put it out on social media. That
- 32:50Speaker 6: means you wanted us to know, so we can ask
- 32:52Speaker 6: about stuff that we may have read or you may
- 32:56Speaker 6: have posted. We're supposed to we have the right to
- 32:58Speaker 6: know that.
- 32:59Speaker 2: And it's that I was gonna say, if you put
- 33:01Speaker 2: it out there, if you put it out there, they're
- 33:03Speaker 2: gonna let they're gonna ass No. I didn't say they
- 33:07Speaker 2: couldn't ask. I said, why did they try to demonize
- 33:12Speaker 2: the Dallas Wings? A Z Fudd and the public relations
- 33:16Speaker 2: guy big Kenny for shutting that down.
- 33:21Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 33:22Speaker 4: I think because people are ignorant a lot of times
- 33:26Speaker 4: in the way things work, and they just assume that
- 33:30Speaker 4: because they have computers in their hands, that their knowledge
- 33:34Speaker 4: matches that device. Public relations, as stated by Merriam Webster,
- 33:40Speaker 4: the business of inducing the public to have understanding for
- 33:44Speaker 4: and goodwill toward a person, form, firm, or institution. Also
- 33:49Speaker 4: the degree of understanding and goodwill achieved. So public relations
- 33:53Speaker 4: person was actually doing their job. I've had a publicist.
- 33:57Speaker 4: Publicist's job is to get the story out, but to
- 34:01Speaker 4: get the correct, accurate story out. That is, when if
- 34:08Speaker 4: you hit me with an ambush question and I give
- 34:11Speaker 4: you an answer that's incomplete or incorrect or based on
- 34:16Speaker 4: emotion or something like that, that looks bad for the organization.
- 34:19Speaker 4: As a public relations person, I step in and give
- 34:23Speaker 4: you that beat to form mulate your thoughts and just
- 34:28Speaker 4: say no, not right now, because that's a loaded question.
- 34:31Speaker 4: It was an ambush question. As he said, nobody knew
- 34:33Speaker 4: they were dating. Where'd you get this information from?
- 34:37Speaker 3: Now?
- 34:37Speaker 4: You want to know how we can collude together when
- 34:40Speaker 4: you're playing good when something's going on there, I'm saying
- 34:43Speaker 4: collude together against the WNBA to put ourselves on the
- 34:48Speaker 4: same team, and then how we going to manage that?
- 34:51Speaker 3: Really? So if the team ain't doing.
- 34:52Speaker 8: Good nice because to a cooperation with yours, you're setting
- 34:58Speaker 8: us up for what you know to be the adulation
- 35:04Speaker 8: of the media cycle.
- 35:05Speaker 3: But that affects this organization negatively. So I got to
- 35:08Speaker 3: do my job well.
- 35:09Speaker 2: The dollars wings Asy Fudd, the public relations person, in
- 35:13Speaker 2: my mind, have all the rights to handle this the
- 35:19Speaker 2: way that they seem to have decided to handle it. You,
- 35:24Speaker 2: as a reporter, have all the rights to ask that question.
- 35:29Speaker 2: But somewhere in this banter you have forgotten that I
- 35:35Speaker 2: have the right not to answer. You do have the right.
- 35:39Speaker 2: I didn't put you out the pressor I didn't ban
- 35:43Speaker 2: you and tell you anything. You got to ask, and
- 35:48Speaker 2: when you finally got to something I didn't want to discuss,
- 35:52Speaker 2: I don't have to answer. That's why I didn't understand
- 35:54Speaker 2: in the story why it blew up as though easy
- 36:00Speaker 2: who wants to live in her moment? If some of
- 36:04Speaker 2: you out there that have might not have had your moment,
- 36:09Speaker 2: yet everybody hasn't had their moment where the thing is
- 36:16Speaker 2: about you.
- 36:19Speaker 3: Everybody.
- 36:20Speaker 2: I pray you have one that might not have gotten
- 36:23Speaker 2: to that point some of you.
- 36:25Speaker 3: Some of you experience it on.
- 36:27Speaker 2: Days like high school graduation or college graduation, or when
- 36:32Speaker 2: you get married. That's the kind of thing I'm talking
- 36:36Speaker 2: about about your day when you get some award that
- 36:40Speaker 2: is just for you and everybody is showing up for you.
- 36:44Speaker 2: And it can be heap, big or small, but most
- 36:49Speaker 2: of us experience it and just go back to when
- 36:53Speaker 2: you was experience it for whatever moment that is. I
- 36:59Speaker 2: want to talk about about me and mine. Ask me
- 37:04Speaker 2: about this, I don't want to talk about that. Now,
- 37:08Speaker 2: we have created a society where we have decided, at
- 37:10Speaker 2: any moment, at any time, we all will be Kanye
- 37:18Speaker 2: to Taylor Swift.
- 37:21Speaker 3: Run up on stage.
- 37:23Speaker 4: I'm gonna let you finish and take somebody's moment now,
- 37:27Speaker 4: sports Jack, hold on, hold on, sports let you finish.
- 37:30Speaker 2: Y'all all remember that, sports Jock, I'm gonna let you
- 37:34Speaker 2: invade this. And Taylor Swift, I've never really heard I'm
- 37:38Speaker 2: quite sure I've heard her song, but I have never
- 37:41Speaker 2: been necessarily can say, oh, I'm a fan, But from
- 37:43Speaker 2: that day on, I've always been on her side because
- 37:46Speaker 2: I can imagine that being a relative, a sister or brother,
- 37:51Speaker 2: or a wife or daughter. And Kanye could be one
- 37:56Speaker 2: hundred percent right with his disagreeance, but wrong for station
- 38:03Speaker 2: because he wouldn't want anybody to do when Northwest win
- 38:07Speaker 2: her Grammy and that the name. He does not want
- 38:12Speaker 2: Taylors and Travis's daughter or son running up there going
- 38:17Speaker 2: wait a minute, I'm gonna let you finish your moment,
- 38:23Speaker 2: That's what And that's the day he might now, I mean,
- 38:26Speaker 2: that's if he's on his mad, he might be like.
- 38:29Speaker 3: You know what I was wrong?
- 38:30Speaker 20: I was.
- 38:32Speaker 2: Because that's wrong right there, somebody arrests that. What of Kelsey,
- 38:39Speaker 2: somebody arrests her? Arrest her now, because that's when he
- 38:43Speaker 2: was understanding.
- 38:44Speaker 3: Was rude and that was wrong.
- 38:48Speaker 2: Now when it was over, if he wanted to go
- 38:50Speaker 2: outside when the reporter, I really feel like Taylor shouldn't
- 38:53Speaker 2: have won. That he could have wrote a song on him.
- 38:57Speaker 2: He could have done, but at that moment, that was wrong.
- 39:00Speaker 2: So that's all I felt for young Azy Fudd twenty two,
- 39:04Speaker 2: twenty three years old, battle through three or four ACL surgeries.
- 39:09Speaker 3: To become the number one pick. I don't really want
- 39:11Speaker 3: to talk about page, especially if we done broke up.
- 39:15Speaker 3: I don't even like page no more.
- 39:17Speaker 2: We just never told y'all because we saw the storm
- 39:21Speaker 2: by letting y'all in the room in the first place.
- 39:23Speaker 2: So you know what we did. We learned we were
- 39:26Speaker 2: kind of naive at first. We didn't understand that y'all
- 39:29Speaker 2: just gonna depict and break it all down, and just
- 39:33Speaker 2: jumped in before as he said, I don't even like
- 39:35Speaker 2: page no more.
- 39:36Speaker 3: I'm messing with Caitlyn. Now.
- 39:39Speaker 2: We'll be back from More Than Sports Jock Show right
- 39:42Speaker 2: after this, before you let.
- 39:54Speaker 9: Jna boy, Wayne Born of the Sports John Hill with

- 42:36Speaker 2: The Tyler Reddick winning yesterday at Darlington. Guys, are the
- 42:47Speaker 2: powers that be at NASCAR letting Michael Jordan win?
- 42:51Speaker 9: No?
- 42:51Speaker 3: Is that the card to play to.
- 42:54Speaker 2: Get NASCAR into to use the greatness of Jordan as
- 43:00Speaker 2: that trump card?
- 43:01Speaker 3: Is he there?
- 43:02Speaker 2: Caitlin Clark moment to get their business going. We talked
- 43:07Speaker 2: last week about different events. F one, we talked about
- 43:12Speaker 2: the Masters. Is this the angle they are they losing?
- 43:19Speaker 2: Are they losing money or popularity?
- 43:22Speaker 3: They're fading?
- 43:23Speaker 2: But Kenny, we were just talking about the menu of
- 43:26Speaker 2: what I have to watch now. There is no sport
- 43:30Speaker 2: that I really have to miss out on. Did you
- 43:34Speaker 2: know they had NASCAR in Darlington this weekend?
- 43:37Speaker 3: No? I mean I know that's a place where they
- 43:39Speaker 3: have where they have races. But do you know who
- 43:43Speaker 3: Tyler Riddick is. I've heard the name, but I would
- 43:45Speaker 3: know what he looks like.
- 43:46Speaker 2: Well, he's on Michael Jordan. This is the fourth race. Remember,
- 43:50Speaker 2: Mike just took him to court.
- 43:51Speaker 3: Took him to court about some revenue sharing.
- 43:56Speaker 2: So are we are we going to ride that a
- 43:58Speaker 2: little here? Win the publicity of bad producers? Stop over
- 44:06Speaker 2: talking for one second. We already know what side of
- 44:08Speaker 2: the fence you own, brou We really do who on
- 44:16Speaker 2: the panel? I think the bad producer is gonna side
- 44:19Speaker 2: with Michael Jordan's raise your hand please.
- 44:22Speaker 3: I'm on the fence, but I'll go with yeah.
- 44:25Speaker 2: So we already know when we say the name, we
- 44:28Speaker 2: already know. That's why I didn't ask you first. I
- 44:32Speaker 2: was having I remember, I was looking right here to
- 44:34Speaker 2: have a conversation with neutral people. Neutral that can see
- 44:38Speaker 2: it from a neutral angle. I'm gonna look up neutral.
- 44:43Speaker 2: Everybody's taking off, everybody's using famous people. The most famous
- 44:48Speaker 2: athlete on the planet is involved in our business.
- 44:52Speaker 4: Yeah, same way Tiger put a little rocket fuel behind who's.
- 44:58Speaker 3: Not cheating in sport? What? What sport doesn't have a conspiracy? Wrestling?
- 45:04Speaker 3: When the last time you knew a sport that didn't have.
- 45:09Speaker 2: Didn't have a conspiracy, which one doesn't have if you
- 45:15Speaker 2: could find one in any every sport have a conspiracy.
- 45:19Speaker 2: Something happens in the NFL, or college. They say somebody
- 45:21Speaker 2: throwing the game. They say there's a script that they
- 45:25Speaker 2: claim the script to it. Yeah, so why can't that
- 45:29Speaker 2: be true about mass.
- 45:30Speaker 3: Car m Well, I understand the angle.
- 45:37Speaker 6: I without I don't know what if there, if the
- 45:40Speaker 6: popularity is fading or anything like that. If that's the case,
- 45:44Speaker 6: then I can see a conspiracy in which we gotta
- 45:47Speaker 6: let Jordan win so he won't sue us again, or no,
- 45:52Speaker 6: we want to bring eyes about the lawsuit. I think
- 45:56Speaker 6: it could be both. We don't want to sue us
- 45:57Speaker 6: again like you feel. We don't want to feel like
- 45:59Speaker 6: left out or excluded.
- 46:02Speaker 3: Paul, I know you. I wanted him to and we're
- 46:05Speaker 3: using that.
- 46:06Speaker 6: People go see that Jordan logo and now they're gonna
- 46:09Speaker 6: pay attention to NASCAR. Was gonna bring in the whole
- 46:11Speaker 6: new audience.
- 46:12Speaker 2: Jordan has been in the NASCAR world for a while.
- 46:17Speaker 2: Some people only learned that Jordan was in the NASCAR
- 46:19Speaker 2: world when he said he was gonna suit.
- 46:22Speaker 3: That's true, that's true. Is that not listening? I know people.
- 46:28Speaker 4: I know people who are in business who do business
- 46:31Speaker 4: just on the outside of the lines of the rules
- 46:34Speaker 4: and regulations and make so much money that when they
- 46:37Speaker 4: get caught, they pay the fine and it goes away
- 46:40Speaker 4: and they keep on making profit. The same way Tiger
- 46:44Speaker 4: came into the PGA. When he first got there, people
- 46:48Speaker 4: didn't want him there, and that jet fuel bought a
- 46:53Speaker 4: whole new audience and catapulted the PGA into twenty twenty six,
- 46:58Speaker 4: where Tiger is still relevant to ors morning and he
- 47:02Speaker 4: hasn't played in a decade.
- 47:04Speaker 2: We use, in our media and in our capitalism all
- 47:09Speaker 2: devices to generate money. Very few people outside of people
- 47:17Speaker 2: who really watch golf knew who the gentleman got arrested
- 47:20Speaker 2: that morning. What was his name, Scotty Scheffler. It was
- 47:24Speaker 2: a national story. How many more people knew know Scottie
- 47:31Speaker 2: Scheffler or know at least that story and what it
- 47:35Speaker 2: went about their whole Is it fair to let him
- 47:38Speaker 2: out of jail and let him back on the golf court.
- 47:41Speaker 2: And we're talking about ratings. Y'all better stop. These people
- 47:45Speaker 2: are promoting w WE on TV after Winby last night.
- 47:54Speaker 2: So Wemby plays last night, when'sday game has a big game.
- 48:01Speaker 2: The second story they reported on was wrestle Mania, a
- 48:06Speaker 2: scripted show. The bad producer came here telling about Oh man,
- 48:10Speaker 2: they went at it last night.
- 48:12Speaker 3: The blood. Roman Rains was on the floor. He comes
- 48:17Speaker 3: from around and he was talking about it. Oh I was,
- 48:20Speaker 3: I love the Ortans.
- 48:23Speaker 2: It's scripted, and he steals wrestling is a legitimate physical
- 48:29Speaker 2: The wrestling part is can't be questioned. The outcome is scripted.
- 48:36Speaker 2: We know this, and they're on a live sports show.
- 48:42Speaker 2: ESPN must be in bed with him. They that review,
- 48:47Speaker 2: they're actually reporting on it. Pview Randy Orton and and
- 48:51Speaker 2: and Roman Range. They really went at it there. Then
- 48:54Speaker 2: they missed. Oh yes, they was just so excited. He
- 48:57Speaker 2: came off and they were showing highlights of a script it.
- 49:04Speaker 3: Come on, y'all want to look at me, and I say,
- 49:07Speaker 3: Michael Jordan. They might be using Michael Jordan. I'm just
- 49:11Speaker 3: I'm crazy. I understand them using.
- 49:13Speaker 2: No win now I hear we'll be Sports Duck Show
- 49:22Speaker 2: right after this.
- 49:25Speaker 23: However, you can't appease the boards fans to norbo polls.
- 49:28Speaker 5: You wan got the Bisley with Poor Dorst.

- 51:53Speaker 3: It's just for your world. Welcome back to the spoy
- 52:06Speaker 3: Shock Show. I'm the spot Shock Wayne Gan d.
- 52:09Speaker 2: We left off talking about NASCAR and are they just
- 52:12Speaker 2: kind of letting Michael Jordan in the window? I mean
- 52:16Speaker 2: you're talking about a business where you really do have
- 52:18Speaker 2: control over who can be in the front, professional drivers
- 52:23Speaker 2: with the ability to allow and and correct and let
- 52:30Speaker 2: off the gas a little for real. We make that
- 52:33Speaker 2: reference in sports Oh man, you know they gave they
- 52:35Speaker 2: let off the gas a little bit.
- 52:37Speaker 3: And what what we're talking about?
- 52:39Speaker 4: You actually do let off the gas, shaking bank, shaking bank,
- 52:44Speaker 4: they draft, they do all those kinds of things. Isn't
- 52:47Speaker 4: that what that whole movie was about?
- 52:49Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 52:49Speaker 3: Letting who's setting up the wind? Who said this man win?
- 52:53Speaker 2: A lot of NASCAR people they love w W E
- 52:57Speaker 2: W c W and they watch like the bad producer
- 53:01Speaker 2: as doing something real.
- 53:03Speaker 3: Yea.
- 53:04Speaker 2: They sit there and they watch it like it's something
- 53:07Speaker 2: actually real and talk about it and discuss it and
- 53:09Speaker 2: name their children after.
- 53:13Speaker 4: Those athletes, those athletes, and they still know its hui business. Yeah,
- 53:20Speaker 4: So why wouldn't Why Why couldn't there be a team
- 53:25Speaker 4: of owners that say, hey, man, my driver today, all
- 53:29Speaker 4: you do is finish in the top ten.
- 53:32Speaker 3: Let Mike's driver win. Why wouldn't that happen?
- 53:37Speaker 4: Why we just saw, We just saw nf NBA former
- 53:43Speaker 4: coach was he player, Damon Jones plead guilty to give.
- 53:50Speaker 2: An information to the mob to fix NBA games and
- 53:54Speaker 2: help people win.
- 53:55Speaker 4: We've watched students from colleges you never heard of get
- 53:59Speaker 4: wrapped up by of fans for prop Betton. We've watched it,
- 54:04Speaker 4: and now them schools got big names because they had
- 54:09Speaker 4: character issues on their team. Everybody know them now. Why
- 54:13Speaker 4: wouldn't they let Mike come across the finish line?
- 54:16Speaker 3: First?
- 54:18Speaker 4: Were talking about the NASCAR today? If we ain't talking
- 54:20Speaker 4: about it no other day, we talking about it today.
- 54:22Speaker 4: I didn't even know the Boston Marathon was today. Now
- 54:25Speaker 4: we're talking about Mike and NASCAR.
- 54:28Speaker 3: Think about it, and we may not talk about NASCAR.
- 54:31Speaker 4: Ever again, ever again. This year we might not speak
- 54:34Speaker 4: about it, but you and very few people whisper.
- 54:37Speaker 2: About when Brad Doherty, who was a long time NBA
- 54:43Speaker 2: went to North Carolina in the NBA twelve fourteen, fifteen
- 54:48Speaker 2: years still NBA All Star. He's one of the first athletes,
- 54:55Speaker 2: Michael Michael Jordan to get into NASCAR.
- 54:57Speaker 8: African American owners and analyst and he as a team
- 55:01Speaker 8: Excuse me, as he's been.
- 55:02Speaker 3: An analyst and a team correct if he doesn't still
- 55:06Speaker 3: have one.
- 55:06Speaker 2: But that is going overlooked because I have the iconic
- 55:09Speaker 2: I'm saying, because I have, I have one of the
- 55:12Speaker 2: three or four most popular athletes that ever walked involved.
- 55:18Speaker 3: And we haven't been using that Big Kenny. We haven't.
- 55:21Speaker 3: We've been sleeping on it. We got they're over here.
- 55:26Speaker 3: They've been waiting on us to send the mic a phone.
- 55:29Speaker 3: He's ready. Mike has talked.
- 55:32Speaker 2: More to the media in the last year than we've
- 55:35Speaker 2: seen him in the twenty years he's retired.
- 55:37Speaker 3: Sometime, I think that he think about it.
- 55:41Speaker 2: It seemed like he hadn't been even bothered to get
- 55:45Speaker 2: worried about you.
- 55:46Speaker 3: But now.
- 55:48Speaker 2: King he with Mike Turrico and now he's the front
- 55:52Speaker 2: man for NASCAR and All he had to do was
- 55:56Speaker 2: talk Mike' seeing on it. I just want y'all to
- 55:58Speaker 2: know he just had Mike, looks. What I need you
- 56:01Speaker 2: to do is go sue us, Mike. We gotta gotta
- 56:03Speaker 2: start using this this Jordan's so now the lawsuits a conspiracy.
- 56:08Speaker 2: Come on, man, they make about to make a Jordan
- 56:11Speaker 2: Nast car three and there Jordan three. It's going car
- 56:17Speaker 2: is gonna have a Nast car on the back, and
- 56:19Speaker 2: I'm gonna have a pair, and I'm gonna guest hold on,
- 56:22Speaker 2: he's not understanding, and I'm gonna I'm gonna jump right
- 56:25Speaker 2: off the off the bridget y'all.
- 56:29Speaker 3: Gonna come in here and I'm gonna I'm gonna have
- 56:31Speaker 3: I'm gonna be in a new style.
- 56:32Speaker 2: My legs roll up. We didn't gonna have a mass car.
- 56:36Speaker 2: Imagine sports jock. You gonna they already made it. I
- 56:41Speaker 2: said we we didn't. We that's sports. And when you
- 56:46Speaker 2: wear the shoe, you gonna think you're doing something. I'm
- 56:49Speaker 2: gonna come in here with a pound and my grandson's both.
- 56:52Speaker 3: Gonna have a path.
- 56:53Speaker 6: You're gonna have, Yeah, the uniform, Yes, if they make
- 56:58Speaker 6: a jumper jumper, if they make a Jordan Jumpers and.
- 57:04Speaker 2: Stopped about the shoe. Though if they make the shoot,
- 57:07Speaker 2: I don't think they made the shoe yet. But with
- 57:10Speaker 2: the twenty three car on the side getting in a three,
- 57:13Speaker 2: that's a four or nine. I don't really like the other.
- 57:18Speaker 2: But in that's what I'm saying, definitely in the three
- 57:23Speaker 2: and four. And we ain't been using this. We ain't
- 57:29Speaker 2: been using it.
- 57:30Speaker 4: We ain't been Mike went to him and had a
- 57:32Speaker 4: meet and listen, guys, I feel like they just started
- 57:34Speaker 4: taking if we had a little controversy, let's say I
- 57:39Speaker 4: assue you guy. No, no, it's not a real lawsuit.
- 57:42Speaker 4: But next race, and they were like, stick with me.
- 57:48Speaker 4: I know you don't know this man named Kendrick lamar

- 57:59Speaker 4: a half time.
- 58:01Speaker 3: He was just be level my god, until he poked.
- 58:05Speaker 2: Drake and he was Grammy Super Bowl Most Popular Artist
- 58:10Speaker 2: of that year.

- 58:27Speaker 2: that's coming next.
- 58:28Speaker 3: Oh, they already had a single. Everybody overlooked that.
- 58:32Speaker 4: They overlooked the single they already had together.

- 1:01:13Speaker 2: assistant coach that I know with the heat he will
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: be pleading guilty to providing betters with inside information on games.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: So he's one of the first dominoes to fall in
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: this scandal that has been in the news here about
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: a year. Terry rose Year another player, actually a current player.
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: He just let him go. But we will see how
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: this affects him, but maybe Damon. As we know in
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: our justice system, the person that typically goes first gets
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: the least time. So we will see how many people
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: Damon is going to, especially with the.
- 1:01:53Speaker 4: Fay is, they'll let you know first one to squeals
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: is the one to get the deal.
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: So I guess he found that there was no way
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: out of it. There is.
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: Do you think that any of this will result in
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: because it's hard for me to imagine some of these
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: players and even coaches Terry Roseier, that caliber of player
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: going somewhere and trying to be anonymous, But do you
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: think any of this will end up in some sort
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: of witness protection because these people are uncovering a network.
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: This has been a conspiracy that, up until this has been.
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: Revealed, was a full proof plan.
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: We had us an ultimate hustle going, and now this
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: dude is letting them in on it, and with each
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: layer that comes back, a bigger fish seems to be uncovered.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: I think that we we we naturally tend to imagine
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: because that's how it's always been so, especially to our generation,
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: as something that criminal or organizations manhandled oversaw, right, But
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: you gotta evolve to imagine that now the people that
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: might be coming at you are not organized crime. Well damon,
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: Uh this guy specifically was involved.
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: Yeah, well but what mob? Yeah? Yeah? Which which mob?
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: Might be? Tri City? That's what I'm saying.
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: We're we're used to the godfather of the Five Family,
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: Carlo Gambino. Yeah, the five Family type mob. The new
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: mob that might have approached him. They take billionaires that
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: want to know how to bet this week, and we
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: we just run Seattle. That's that's all we control. They
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: don't really have that kind of angle. Yeah, yeah, that's possible.
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: So and when they do, they have to go out
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: an outsource their drummer. They have to call young thug. Yeah,
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: hey man, you know nobody get those guys Twitty and
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: his boycing. This boy be willing to make a little money.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: Go see this, dude. I mean because we saw this
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: in the case with the football players, Yes, when they
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: were hustling the NFL insurance, Yeah, the insurance scheme and
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: the basketball Clinton porters and then went on and jumped
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: off the the bridge first the young man for the basketball.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: We've seen these different schemes here, Damon Jones, Easy, it's hard.
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: Just look because sometimes you're thinking, in his case, could
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: have been what he's saying is not that detrimental. I'm
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: just giving it to you. First, Lebron's not. I'm just
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: telling you at one PM, Lebron's not. The NBA is
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: gonna tell you at six that kind of thing. Well,
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: I don't I don't know what the information was, but
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: it doesn't have to be this in this society now
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: with all the prop betting and all these kind of things.
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: I'm just giving you an idea of Lebron's playing the night,
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: but he's gonna be limited minutes, like just little things.
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: I might be able to place a bet based on that.
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: So now you're playing able to play. Oh, he's only
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: gonna play so that means he's only we're only looking
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: to play him twenty eight minutes, which means that he's
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: probably only gonna score X amount of point. I can
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: bet on that, And it seemed like there was there
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: was a lot of money placed on that one piece
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: of information, just like like about with the schools having
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: the like an Eastern Michigan. Why are five thousand people
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: betting the under for the Eastern Michigan game. That's what
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: draws attention, that's.
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: What and too many people they are told, well, this
- 1:05:57Speaker 4: is what happens is maybe I'm telling the information to you,
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: and you might give me my little thirty g's for
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: the Lebron only gonna play limited minutes tonight. And I
- 1:06:08Speaker 4: think I'm doing something. But then you turn around and
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: sell information to the people that you.
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: Got for twice that.
- 1:06:16Speaker 4: And now I'm surprised that all these people betting on
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: Lebron to only play limited minutes. I only told one, dude,
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: But now you got me. I know prison guards, that's
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: how they get them, and say, hey, man, do me
- 1:06:31Speaker 4: a favor and tell my sister to call me you
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: went to high school with her, and the minute you
- 1:06:37Speaker 4: tell my sister to call me, you wrapped up in
- 1:06:42Speaker 4: a conspiracy, trafficking of information type thing. So it starts
- 1:06:47Speaker 4: off a lot times innocent, and then these dudes just
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: get in too far to get out.
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: Former Alabama football player Luther Davis, who is a sports
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: agent here in the Georgia area twenty million dollars odd uh.
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: He was impersonating Falcons quarterback Michael Pennox Falcon tidy end
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: Nu Jokuh and McKinney in these cases Xavier McKinney who
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: plays for the Green Bay Packers, David and Djoku who
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: plays for the Browns. Story goes that Luther was going
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: as far as even wearing wigs and then makeup. He
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: has been brought to justice in these cases. He was
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: falsifying assigning documents as well. I was in the barbershop
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: today and just ear hustling in the barbershop as I
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: always do, just people.
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: Is it just anate.
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: Because it's criminal and people should go to jail, But
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: it's just an innate thing that we have that makes
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: us always try to skirt. Because in the barbershop they
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: were talking about how you could go and one barber saying, oh,
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: you could take these clippers back and send them to
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: this store and they accept him and all you need
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: is the price from a receipt?
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: Did you? And it's like, why why is that? Like?
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: Why are we so scheme based and stuff? I think
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: on a thing on the beginning, on a thing that
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: but nobody wants to be scammed, but we okay scamming,
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: and I know we can spread that over a lot
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: of things, But why is it that like that, Like
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: in this case, here man had enough talent to go
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: to the Alabama got an opportunity is a sports agent,
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: which you got to qualify, So that means that he
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: would have had to go to the NFL all that
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: and get and then you decide to go and falsify records.
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: Twenty million dollars worth of falsified record?
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: What is it about that? I mean?
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: And then he coming into guys trying to get over.
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: But that's what I'm saying, It's an innate human thing.
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: To get over. I went.
- 1:09:29Speaker 6: You know, sometimes putting forth effort is just way too
- 1:09:34Speaker 6: hard I think too to do something you know, legit
- 1:09:40Speaker 6: And no, that's too hard.
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: No, I bring you the receipt right, you know you
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: ordered the salmon, I give you your seat, You look at
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: the price, you look through all the items, and you
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: realize I didn't put the salmon on the ticket. You
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: were standing at the crossroads. You could be honorable and
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: don't mean that I didn't put the sad one on
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: the ticket. Or you can just act like the bad
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: producer and free Simon and say that that's their mistake. Well,
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you, well, I'll tell you some shot.
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: And this is because I just had this. Who believes
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: the bad your hand if you heard your hand, if
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: you think the bad producer would tell that the item
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: was I got proof.
- 1:10:28Speaker 3: I've done it before, so nobody's nobody believe.
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:10:32Speaker 3: I'm not going ahead.
- 1:10:33Speaker 4: This just happened to me this past week. My mother
- 1:10:36Speaker 4: sent me to get something from her from her favorite
- 1:10:39Speaker 4: little fast food spot that I hate going to because
- 1:10:41Speaker 4: it ain't never nothing right when I go there.
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: Pop Eyes. I didn't say that.
- 1:10:47Speaker 4: Well, you told me your mom likes, but but their
- 1:10:50Speaker 4: initials are saying it was yeah. Their initials are Popeyes, yes,
- 1:10:55Speaker 4: and that would be I get to the I get
- 1:10:58Speaker 4: to the the what is the the ordering board. I'm
- 1:11:01Speaker 4: there for about three minutes. Then she says, hold on,
- 1:11:04Speaker 4: give me just a minute. I'm giving you three. So
- 1:11:07Speaker 4: I pull around and how can I help lady? I
- 1:11:10Speaker 4: was just, oh, okay, what you want to order? Why
- 1:11:14Speaker 4: do you think I came here? Oh okay? And so
- 1:11:16Speaker 4: she takes my order and says, well, back up, right?
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: But I backed up, and then she says come forward.
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: She gives me my food, and then she closed the
- 1:11:24Speaker 4: window and I sit there for it by men and
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: a half and then I excuse me, ma'am, yes.
- 1:11:31Speaker 3: I need to pay you.
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: Oh I'm sorry, And then she took my money and
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: I was like, I could have just driven off, and
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: there was no oh thank you for being an honest person.
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: But most people do what they can to get over
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: because when they tell the story, they feel like people
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: will value that in them. They'll champion them for that
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: you got them by. You will be respected for getting over.
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: But the people I know would be ashamed of me.
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: You you let.
- 1:12:03Speaker 4: You don't put all that mark on your spirit about
- 1:12:05Speaker 4: some Popeyes, right chicken?
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: You see what I'm saying. You about to go to hell?
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: That's the two piece. Well, Luther Davis and C. J.
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: Evans also was part of this case. It looks like
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: maybe they're going to plead to reduce the sentence. Evans
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: is listed in a separate filing and facing wire fraud,
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: identity theft charges in the same case as Luther Davis.
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: So this is going to happen on April to twenty seventh,
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: will be back or well there have to be somebody
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: at the institution kind of be in on that because
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: you you said you was Michael Pennix last week.
- 1:12:45Speaker 4: And that's the same week. All look like, oh see,
- 1:12:48Speaker 4: and that's all I'm saying. That's all I'm saying.
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: I'm already to take ten steps and turn the shoot.

- 1:18:42Speaker 2: that work.
- 1:18:44Speaker 4: The most challenging part about letting Sugar out is they
- 1:18:48Speaker 4: let him out before and he got right back active,
- 1:18:51Speaker 4: so there's no equity. They've not built any equity or
- 1:18:56Speaker 4: trust in him, like he gonna act right when he

- 1:20:10Speaker 4: tore her knee. They were like the top two kids.
- 1:20:12Speaker 4: And so I've been hearing that name way before she
- 1:20:14Speaker 4: went to Tennessee and to see what she did, because
- 1:20:17Speaker 4: my mentor would always be like, who is the girl
- 1:20:19Speaker 4: named Kansas Parker? She going okay? And then she ended
- 1:20:22Speaker 4: up being exactly who she said she was gonna be.
- 1:20:25Speaker 4: So that's amazing.
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: A little work here real quick, big Kenny. I'm gonna
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: have to go wise, be wise. I'm gonna have to
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: go with the didn't know. Well, you've been around so long,
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: but you grow not Kate Huts and clonk. I appreciate you,
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: I'm saying, feel kind of because I've.
- 1:20:44Speaker 4: Known, Yeah, you could be you could be my daughter,
- 1:20:48Speaker 4: but you not. You know what I'd stand Now, you
- 1:20:51Speaker 4: gonna go in and get this work today.
- 1:20:53Speaker 3: Kate power Ball is going international. Guys, right now, right now,
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: right now, let me understand this.
- 1:21:00Speaker 4: That's why I could if power ball is going international,
- 1:21:04Speaker 4: are they not just selling it?
- 1:21:07Speaker 3: Is it?
- 1:21:07Speaker 4: The money will be all to be one internationally? So
- 1:21:11Speaker 4: ball be going jumping the pond to the UK. So
- 1:21:16Speaker 4: on Saturday night we'll be pulling for one ticket to
- 1:21:20Speaker 4: win worldwide?
- 1:21:21Speaker 3: Is that one?
- 1:21:22Speaker 4: I'm understanding? Yes, So that could be a couple. They
- 1:21:27Speaker 4: want to get one hundred million dollars.
- 1:21:30Speaker 2: Three several England and what else than Scotland? Oh yeah,
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: that's that's easily a billion, that's a three bill. That's
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: why I quit buy a little three billion dollar.
- 1:21:40Speaker 3: Wins every other week. Yeah, the ticket, the ticket went
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: from a dollar. I don't have the date, but I
- 1:21:45Speaker 3: did read that they were going international. When the three
- 1:21:48Speaker 3: nine is gonna go up?
- 1:21:49Speaker 19: Now?
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: Watching the price gonna go up even higher? I ain't,
- 1:21:51Speaker 3: but what this is the thing?
- 1:21:52Speaker 4: If they were to charge just get it at a dollar, no, sir,
- 1:21:56Speaker 4: I think, And then they want to power up go three.
- 1:21:59Speaker 4: Like with gaming all games of chance, your benefit isn't
- 1:22:05Speaker 4: that you put only a percentage down of what you
- 1:22:08Speaker 4: could win. So if the tickets are ten dollars and
- 1:22:10Speaker 4: you could win three billion dollars, you still wouldn't get
- 1:22:13Speaker 4: to know.
- 1:22:13Speaker 3: What I'm saying.
- 1:22:14Speaker 8: If it's no, you're gonna buy several, No, you're gonna
- 1:22:17Speaker 8: put at least twenty forty fifty numbers.
- 1:22:19Speaker 3: Why I spend fifty dollars like that?
- 1:22:22Speaker 8: If I put If I can't put twenty numbers in
- 1:22:24Speaker 8: a half five dollars, that's gonna cost me one hundred.
- 1:22:26Speaker 2: Where it was just your manage, your gambling energy. Is
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: what I'm telling you. All they are asking you to
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: do is play a game of chance. For one ten
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: dollars ticket, you could win thirty billion dollars.
- 1:22:39Speaker 8: You know, No, you don't have more than one name
- 1:22:43Speaker 8: in No, you don't half to at least buy two
- 1:22:46Speaker 8: or three.
- 1:22:46Speaker 3: Get No, you don't have to.
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: What about the people who have won and only played
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: that one time and never won again.
- 1:22:53Speaker 3: That's hard well see, but it happens.
- 1:22:56Speaker 4: You are the one addicted and conditioned to believe that
- 1:22:59Speaker 4: you have to do that, which is where they make
- 1:23:01Speaker 4: the most of their.
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: Money money on you, because I gotta buy at least ball.
- 1:23:07Speaker 8: I've been mad because of how they allowed this californ
- 1:23:09Speaker 8: only on the West coast winning.
- 1:23:12Speaker 2: It's not that we just had the East coast winning
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: in Georgia. What just about the last time. But everybody's
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: been winning all the way over there, and you believe
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: it's conspiracy.
- 1:23:21Speaker 3: It's conspiracy.
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: So but Michael Jordan's let's go to Let's go, It's
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: just what I'm talking about. You can fix the whole
- 1:23:29Speaker 2: power ball, but you can't fix one s B Studios
- 1:23:33Speaker 2: and wash them balls drop.
- 1:23:35Speaker 3: That's so believe me. It's something triggering about that. All right,
- 1:23:40Speaker 3: you need to go to a race. Then I go
- 1:23:43Speaker 3: to races and it's not triggered. We'll be back, We'll
- 1:23:46Speaker 3: be back. We'll be back.
- 1:23:49Speaker 5: The Chocolate Rocket.
- 1:23:59Speaker 3: Don't go away.
- 1:24:00Speaker 9: More of the Sports Josh Show with Wayne Daan. Video's
- 1:24:03Speaker 9: coming up next.
- 1:24:05Speaker 28: Choosing to buy a gun was not a decision I
- 1:24:07Speaker 28: took lightly, but with everything going on, I really wanted
- 1:24:11Speaker 28: to feel like I could protect myself. I hadn't thought
- 1:24:13Speaker 28: about the danger of an unlocked gun in my own
- 1:24:15Speaker 28: home too.
- 1:24:17Speaker 14: Me aware your napkins, not that drawer unless anyone needs
- 1:24:22Speaker 14: a gun.
- 1:24:25Speaker 28: Now, I always lock my gun to keep everyone safe.
- 1:24:28Speaker 28: Visit infamilyfire dot org to learn how to store your
- 1:24:31Speaker 28: guns more securely. Brought to you by Brady and the
- 1:24:33Speaker 28: AD Council.
- 1:24:34Speaker 30: I'm a pretty great multitasker. I can wash dishes and
- 1:24:38Speaker 30: do laundry. I can roller skatefold walking my dogs. I
- 1:24:42Speaker 30: can even order lunch while doing my homework. But I
- 1:24:45Speaker 30: can't use my phone while driving. A distracted driver is
- 1:24:49Speaker 30: one of the leading causes of death in the United States.
- 1:24:51Speaker 30: So when it comes to driving, please don't be a multitasker.
- 1:24:55Speaker 26: Don't drive distracted. A message brought to you by the
- 1:24:58Speaker 26: National Highway Traffic Safety administer Ration, Project yellow Light, and
- 1:25:01Speaker 26: the AD Council.
- 1:25:04Speaker 10: All right, son, time to put out this campfire.
- 1:25:07Speaker 3: Dad, We learned about this in school. Oh did you now? Okay,
- 1:25:10Speaker 3: what's first?
- 1:25:11Speaker 6: Smokey Bear said, too, First, drown it with the bucket
- 1:25:14Speaker 6: of water, then stir it with a shovel.
- 1:25:16Speaker 3: Wow, you sound just like him, he said. If it's
- 1:25:20Speaker 3: still warm, then do it again. Where can I learn
- 1:25:23Speaker 3: all this?
- 1:25:24Speaker 27: It's all on smokeybear dot Com with other wildfire prevention tips,
- 1:25:28Speaker 27: because only you can prevent wildfires.
- 1:25:31Speaker 10: Brought to you by the USDA Forest Service, your state forester,
- 1:25:33Speaker 10: and the AD Council.
- 1:25:37Speaker 3: And now back to the sports job. Wayne Gandy.
- 1:25:42Speaker 24: Player's lounge. You have been given full access to the
- 1:25:48Speaker 24: player's Lounge on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: Oh yeah, steal clown when we come around. Welcome back
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: to the spy Shock Show. This spoe Shock wing candy.
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: Uh just a little bit. Powerball is expanding to include
- 1:26:23Speaker 2: European countries. Aim to build bigger jackpots. It will start
- 1:26:28Speaker 2: this summer. Uh for that, so bigger jackpots, quicker jackpots
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: for the Powerball as were elsely, you probably have big
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: winnings each month. Somebody will fall off the board and
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: then they'll get mad, just like the bad producer when
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: they will decide that it's too unfair for one side
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: of the world to win. You know, it's it's all
- 1:26:53Speaker 2: the things that humans feed into. When they lose, they
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: can always find an angle of how it's unfair other
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: than just accepting you played and.
- 1:27:04Speaker 3: You lost.
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: And move on from there. Sophie Cunningham of the Indiana Fever,
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: she got rebaptized this week, and does that mean she's
- 1:27:18Speaker 2: done with bikini pictures where Sports Illustrated You guys, you think.
- 1:27:25Speaker 3: I don't have no fact?
- 1:27:26Speaker 2: So yeah, so that's that means and that what that says?
- 1:27:31Speaker 2: That means that I shouldn't have to see you in
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: that light anymore. Uh, well, what it's already done. No, no, no,
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: I'm talking about from this point on. No new pictures. No, correct,
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. No new no, no, no next year.
- 1:27:48Speaker 3: No.
- 1:27:48Speaker 4: I can't imagine why you would how you would make
- 1:27:51Speaker 4: that Christian. I can't imagine how you would paint a
- 1:27:54Speaker 4: Christian uh shade that is a Christian act. You know
- 1:27:59Speaker 4: I'm posing in my bikini in a swimsuit issue.
- 1:28:04Speaker 29: Uh.
- 1:28:04Speaker 4: You know those things are that kind of being viewed
- 1:28:08Speaker 4: by people that is supposed to be between spouses and
- 1:28:11Speaker 4: things like that in the Christian mindset.
- 1:28:15Speaker 3: I would imagine, because when you say rebaptized, that means
- 1:28:18Speaker 3: you were back.
- 1:28:19Speaker 4: Yeah, and you and you're you're renting yourself, renewing yours.
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: So I wrote when I saw it like so, I
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: shouldn't see you like that anymore. You should be presenting
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: yourself in other things. We'll see all it works out,
- 1:28:38Speaker 2: giving me a hood.
- 1:28:39Speaker 3: You're not.
- 1:28:41Speaker 4: Well, and now it'll be interesting to see how fundamentalists
- 1:28:50Speaker 4: allow this to play out. I'm looking at some just
- 1:28:54Speaker 4: random images that I googled of Sophie Cunningham modeling, and
- 1:28:59Speaker 4: they're quite pin up girl, quite salacious, quite tantalizing pictures.
- 1:29:08Speaker 4: So that's never any it's it's temptation. Well, and that's
- 1:29:13Speaker 4: why I said, from this point on. Yeah, so I
- 1:29:16Speaker 4: can't imagine she would still I can't imagine she'd still
- 1:29:19Speaker 4: be trying to do this.
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: And we will see if the rebaptizing works going forward.
- 1:29:26Speaker 3: But she got real baptized. But does she is self?
- 1:29:30Speaker 3: It's some it's probably some folks. Hope, hope, you excuse me.
- 1:29:33Speaker 8: She just got baptized, But does she is scept you know,
- 1:29:36Speaker 8: that's the thing.
- 1:29:37Speaker 3: What's what's the difference, what's the difference. I'm just saying
- 1:29:40Speaker 3: to make sure she accept I mean, it's just like
- 1:29:43Speaker 3: a marathon, that's what. Just notaptized.
- 1:29:47Speaker 4: They feel like they get baptized, stop but then stop.
- 1:29:51Speaker 4: That's like a marathon. Ain't really a race. I'm saying.
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: Part of the process of baptism is that you are
- 1:30:01Speaker 2: coming up as a brand new spirit a whole.
- 1:30:06Speaker 6: We'll see as far as when when she plays like,
- 1:30:10Speaker 6: is she getting in the altercations?
- 1:30:15Speaker 3: I won't go that far.
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: That's that's no, I won't go that Farwad. I'm talking
- 1:30:19Speaker 2: about the things. I completely know that you're in a
- 1:30:22Speaker 2: mindset to be able to yes, you're not. You're not
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: tempting your spirit out here in a competitive nature, you
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: do get to actually decide whether I'm going to put
- 1:30:32Speaker 2: on this very uh revealing, revealing clothing and flaunt it
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: for the world. It's different than somebody shooting you an
- 1:30:42Speaker 2: elbow on the court. She only got two cheeks. She
- 1:30:49Speaker 2: can turn the cheek twice. Now listen, okay, so she
- 1:30:52Speaker 2: won't start anything. Listen, you won't start to think. I
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: was blessed by Reggie White. There wasn't nothing godly about it.
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: He was actually reverend.
- 1:31:02Speaker 3: He threw the all on. It was within the rules,
- 1:31:05Speaker 3: though it was satanic what.
- 1:31:08Speaker 25: He did me.
- 1:31:08Speaker 3: And I got a hold Massachusets and I got what
- 1:31:14Speaker 3: is this that you have thrown me? Where is thy Lord?
- 1:31:20Speaker 3: You have forsaken me? You didn't believe you thought God was.
- 1:31:24Speaker 5: I got a whole.
- 1:31:25Speaker 2: I got a whole, boy, and I appreciate what would
- 1:31:28Speaker 2: put holy hands on you if you stepped out? Got
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: wrongs in church, he said, he and being pray about
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: So I do have a limit as out for go
- 1:31:39Speaker 2: with it. But she read child and no daisy dukes, no, no,
- 1:31:43Speaker 2: so not the daisy Duke, we'll see Diana Roussini of
- 1:31:50Speaker 2: the Athletics. She stepped away from her job. People criticized her.
- 1:31:54Speaker 2: One young lady, Christoph Freud, actually got fired for celebrating
- 1:32:00Speaker 2: Diana Rozni quitting her job, really going into my how
- 1:32:04Speaker 2: she set back women reporting. Diana Rossini also a couple
- 1:32:10Speaker 2: of days after quitting the reports artist, she helped someone
- 1:32:15Speaker 2: out of a car wreck, elderly man that she climbed
- 1:32:18Speaker 2: up on the car and helped the man and his
- 1:32:21Speaker 2: dog get out of the car. Some flames to the car,
- 1:32:25Speaker 2: the car had rolled on its sign and.
- 1:32:29Speaker 3: Why it's kind of like the easy fund thing.
- 1:32:33Speaker 2: And I took my stance on this last week on
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: Mike Rabel, former teammate of mine for two years with
- 1:32:39Speaker 2: the Stealers. I didn't understand and we've shared this for
- 1:32:45Speaker 2: years on this show, where where is the line? We've
- 1:32:50Speaker 2: seen to have decided to fade the line as we
- 1:32:53Speaker 2: choose to of someone's life and their personal life. And
- 1:33:01Speaker 2: in this case with Diana Rosini and Michael Mike Rabel,
- 1:33:07Speaker 2: when pictures came out of showing that they were in
- 1:33:11Speaker 2: the same vacation spot, neither one of them talked about
- 1:33:16Speaker 2: them being in a relationship somebody called a picture. Now
- 1:33:21Speaker 2: this young lady has had to step away from her job.
- 1:33:26Speaker 2: People criticize her for that. No standing there and answered,
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: I don't want to answer you a question that's none
- 1:33:30Speaker 2: of your business.
- 1:33:32Speaker 3: Coaches to her having to answer today's spouse is about us.
- 1:33:35Speaker 3: So what's this?
- 1:33:36Speaker 2: I keep hearing on ESPN about you in the hot
- 1:33:38Speaker 2: tub with some woman, and then it becomes what makes
- 1:33:44Speaker 2: me laugh, really commands you, big Kenny bad Duser, is
- 1:33:49Speaker 2: when you try to take someone like miss Rosini. She's
- 1:33:56Speaker 2: interviewing a football coach. We're not Congress, We're not some
- 1:34:07Speaker 2: this is not Bill Clinton, this is not.
- 1:34:13Speaker 3: Presidential. This is not and you.
- 1:34:17Speaker 2: Telling you some storyline. These people have not pledged her.
- 1:34:22Speaker 2: This is this isn't even like reporting like a Diane
- 1:34:25Speaker 2: Sawyer or Barbara Walters reporting on something that really really
- 1:34:31Speaker 2: does involved needing the absolute truth what this coach and
- 1:34:40Speaker 2: this lady doesn't work for the Patriots now unless you
- 1:34:44Speaker 2: have something in her contract it says that she can't
- 1:34:47Speaker 2: date somebody.
- 1:34:48Speaker 3: I never understood this.
- 1:34:49Speaker 2: Whole the football the basketball player can't date the cheerleader.
- 1:34:54Speaker 3: What are we doing? What if they're dating who cares.
- 1:35:01Speaker 6: On a moral or whatever because they're both married. So
- 1:35:07Speaker 6: it was like, oh, it's in the face, so that's
- 1:35:09Speaker 6: that's what's drawing the attention to.
- 1:35:11Speaker 8: But nobody they just said the same.
- 1:35:16Speaker 4: I'm the only one at the table that's married. I'm
- 1:35:18Speaker 4: the only one that I would like to address.
- 1:35:21Speaker 2: I would like to tell them what I would tell you,
- 1:35:24Speaker 2: what talk about my full wife?
- 1:35:27Speaker 4: Yo, it's my third wife. Yo, it's my third wife yo.
- 1:35:32Speaker 4: But this is what I'm saying, son, this is what
- 1:35:34Speaker 4: I'm saying. If there's an issue with me and another
- 1:35:39Speaker 4: woman and that woman married and the woman that I'm
- 1:35:42Speaker 4: having an issue with my wife, that's between me.
- 1:35:47Speaker 3: Stop I get that. No, no, no, sorry.
- 1:35:54Speaker 4: Me my wife and that woman husband, because obviously she
- 1:35:58Speaker 4: and I got some sort of understand it. The two
- 1:36:01Speaker 4: people that ought to be mad are the spouses, and
- 1:36:03Speaker 4: they the only ones who have saved.
- 1:36:05Speaker 6: You know, like how nosy people are being they feel
- 1:36:09Speaker 6: they have the right to know about this stuff.
- 1:36:11Speaker 3: Well that's that's what's happening here, I'm saying.
- 1:36:14Speaker 4: And the unfair part about it is only because it's
- 1:36:19Speaker 4: romantic in nature, what you want to know and feel
- 1:36:23Speaker 4: like you have a right to get in my business.
- 1:36:25Speaker 4: But I might be letting my sister claim my kids
- 1:36:28Speaker 4: on her taxes, and ain't nobody gonna say nothing about that.
- 1:36:32Speaker 4: Nobody want to get involved in that part.
- 1:36:35Speaker 2: I'll throw this at you too, Greg, And I know
- 1:36:37Speaker 2: you're just playing Devil's advocate. I'm just saying I'll throw
- 1:36:39Speaker 2: this at It's funny how That's why I said. The
- 1:36:41Speaker 2: line gets faded as we choose, because we'll also go
- 1:36:45Speaker 2: celebrate the married woman who has gotten pregnant by the
- 1:36:50Speaker 2: next man before she divorced the last one and call
- 1:36:55Speaker 2: that freedom boss hit. I don't know Mike Rabel and
- 1:37:01Speaker 2: his wife's marital status neither. They might be kin of divorce,
- 1:37:07Speaker 2: they might have decided on an open marriage. I don't
- 1:37:10Speaker 2: know what's going on in those people house. For me
- 1:37:13Speaker 2: to just demonize these two people, you're making it seem
- 1:37:20Speaker 2: we did this with TJ. Holmes and the other lady
- 1:37:23Speaker 2: that was on the show, Like I don't know what
- 1:37:25Speaker 2: these where they are in their status, but we go
- 1:37:32Speaker 2: out and we throw rocks, And these two people didn't
- 1:37:36Speaker 2: go out and put these pictures out.
- 1:37:39Speaker 3: Bad producer was three miles.
- 1:37:41Speaker 7: Away, crouched down, crowds down in the bushes and a
- 1:37:46Speaker 7: whole nother state by hisself filming these people and then
- 1:37:51Speaker 7: put it out there with no with no having to
- 1:37:53Speaker 7: clear it, with nobody going did you get permission?
- 1:37:56Speaker 3: Did they sign and release? There's none of that I
- 1:38:00Speaker 3: got Jim Harrick.
- 1:38:01Speaker 6: But I said, like, we don't know the specifics of
- 1:38:06Speaker 6: those relationships. But people saw those pictures and created their
- 1:38:09Speaker 6: own narrative.
- 1:38:10Speaker 3: People are going to.
- 1:38:10Speaker 2: Do that, and so now I have to come into

- 1:40:38Speaker 5: Its wings, oh log.
- 1:40:50Speaker 3: As you can see the sports jaint, I'll sing even.
- 1:40:54Speaker 2: Very canny weld you back to this boy shock shop,
- 1:40:58Speaker 2: the spory Shop, Wayne can In d steven A Smith,
- 1:41:02Speaker 2: one of the biggest names in sports reporting. He wonders
- 1:41:06Speaker 2: why other NBA guys don't follow the little old Bron
- 1:41:13Speaker 2: James blueprint of staying healthy. What do you think other
- 1:41:20Speaker 2: guys the whole idea of how Lebron take care of
- 1:41:26Speaker 2: his body and the investment different rumors of how much
- 1:41:30Speaker 2: he spends. Even a is wondering, while other guys, you know,
- 1:41:34Speaker 2: but this whole sixty five game rule and so much
- 1:41:38Speaker 2: time miss While other guys haven't been on record.
- 1:41:43Speaker 4: Now I think that the wording is interesting because not
- 1:41:51Speaker 4: being on record doesn't mean that they're not.
- 1:41:53Speaker 3: Doing it well. We seem to find you being more injured.
- 1:41:57Speaker 4: Right, Okay, Well, I would imagine that conventional wisdom, would
- 1:42:07Speaker 4: you know, the cart comes after the horse. Your professional athlete,
- 1:42:12Speaker 4: your body is your product. I would imagine that every
- 1:42:15Speaker 4: athlete would spend considerable amount of time keeping themselves in shape.
- 1:42:19Speaker 4: Now do they maintain that through a twenty year twenty
- 1:42:24Speaker 4: three year career?
- 1:42:25Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:42:26Speaker 2: Well, you take out, you take Greg Babadusa, guys like
- 1:42:30Speaker 2: Lebron's teammate Luca Duncans, you take his former teammate Anthony Davis,
- 1:42:35Speaker 2: you take someone like a Zion Williamson and digestion in
- 1:42:40Speaker 2: those cases of superstar level, same kind of talent, first
- 1:42:43Speaker 2: picks of drafts and stuff like that, they have seen
- 1:42:47Speaker 2: in their you know, Giant's been in what like like
- 1:42:50Speaker 2: five years now, ad been in about twelve, and Luca
- 1:42:54Speaker 2: been in about eight nine.
- 1:42:55Speaker 3: Ecause do leave seven for Zion?
- 1:42:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm saying so the seven and Luca been in
- 1:43:00Speaker 2: about eight nine and a d over a decade now. Yeah,
- 1:43:05Speaker 2: so kind of historically has shown they come back a
- 1:43:09Speaker 2: little fluffy.
- 1:43:10Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, like.
- 1:43:14Speaker 2: A d was just fragile, but Luca and Zion come
- 1:43:19Speaker 2: back fat, They straight up beat.
- 1:43:21Speaker 3: They be Well, we ain't gonna call it you straight up.
- 1:43:29Speaker 2: You see the twenty pounds that they need to right,
- 1:43:32Speaker 2: he don't call them, don't call them fact.
- 1:43:35Speaker 3: That's what that's called.
- 1:43:38Speaker 6: The it's a mentality of it or the kind of
- 1:43:40Speaker 6: the the process that Okay, Lebron is investing. He has
- 1:43:45Speaker 6: spent money on like the hyperbaric chamber or whatever, the
- 1:43:49Speaker 6: cold tub that put it in his house or whatever.
- 1:43:52Speaker 6: But I think a lot of players with there, if
- 1:43:56Speaker 6: they're out of shape, they get back and by playing basketball,
- 1:43:59Speaker 6: not doing these things that can help move it along.
- 1:44:03Speaker 6: Like no, I just need to get out there and
- 1:44:04Speaker 6: play it.
- 1:44:05Speaker 4: But if I'm investing in you, I need to show
- 1:44:08Speaker 4: up on day one ready to go to work. I
- 1:44:10Speaker 4: don't need you to be ready to work five week
- 1:44:12Speaker 4: number nine. Those teams have to do what they can
- 1:44:16Speaker 4: to push that because like Luca that I think after
- 1:44:19Speaker 4: last season in the playoffs, people were getting on Luca
- 1:44:22Speaker 4: like oh, he's out of shape, Like yeah, he has
- 1:44:24Speaker 4: all this talent, but they're moments where we can't play him.
- 1:44:27Speaker 4: He's not trying, but I can't. But I can't do
- 1:44:29Speaker 4: anything as an organization. And that's what they say. Something
- 1:44:34Speaker 4: opened the door and I was going through it with
- 1:44:37Speaker 4: that comment. The reason we don't see athletes keeping themselves
- 1:44:40Speaker 4: in shape is because there was a time when refrigerator
- 1:44:44Speaker 4: Perry didn't make weight.
- 1:44:45Speaker 3: They find him every day.
- 1:44:47Speaker 2: But this is the thing too, you can Luca makes
- 1:44:53Speaker 2: so much money that remember it is a CBA, so
- 1:44:58Speaker 2: how much to fine for whatever is you have. It's
- 1:45:01Speaker 2: the same fine league world wide. It's not like you
- 1:45:06Speaker 2: can increase it. You can't make it up. If the
- 1:45:10Speaker 2: if the player Association said you can only find me
- 1:45:14Speaker 2: seven hundred dollars for being overweight.
- 1:45:18Speaker 6: That's that's all they can do. That's all's easy, right
- 1:45:20Speaker 6: are they could say, like, hey, you need to get
- 1:45:22Speaker 6: in shape.
- 1:45:23Speaker 2: That's all they can do. Luke about seven hundred dollars socks.
- 1:45:29Speaker 2: He's not about to stress itself. Push yourself over seven hundred.
- 1:45:35Speaker 4: Dollars, Take the socks. The team should take this. And
- 1:45:40Speaker 4: that's what I'm saying. I mean, there is no penalty
- 1:45:45Speaker 4: for not being ready anymore. There is no allowable way
- 1:45:51Speaker 4: for me to make you uncomfortable because you're not performing.
- 1:45:56Speaker 3: The Lion's contract. Wasn't there a clause in his contract?
- 1:46:01Speaker 2: Obviously not one that he but it was one that basically,
- 1:46:05Speaker 2: I have to be that weight on way in day
- 1:46:10Speaker 2: when I returned to you on May second, I gotta
- 1:46:13Speaker 2: be this way.
- 1:46:18Speaker 30: And by.
- 1:46:19Speaker 3: And I'm just saying when you say the team that used.
- 1:46:24Speaker 2: To be more of high school and college where you
- 1:46:26Speaker 2: can pro has always been having to kind of work
- 1:46:30Speaker 2: and hope I can put you in an environment, I'm
- 1:46:33Speaker 2: saying they can only like say something like this is
- 1:46:36Speaker 2: the best shape Luke has been in in his old
- 1:46:39Speaker 2: career this year and he's still fat. It's the best
- 1:46:43Speaker 2: shape he's been in this whole years. Shawn jeffries he
- 1:46:46Speaker 2: was arrested for fraud as well.
- 1:46:48Speaker 3: Is that is that crazy? He said it was a
- 1:46:50Speaker 3: second identity impersonating him.
- 1:46:56Speaker 2: I guess maybe said maybe Luther was playing him as well,
- 1:47:00Speaker 2: But we got some more fraud. Say Flowers believes that
- 1:47:03Speaker 2: the injuries for the Ravens is because John Harball's practices
- 1:47:07Speaker 2: are too hard. Wait say that, I thought they had
- 1:47:09Speaker 2: bargaining and say that, so I thought they were like
- 1:47:13Speaker 2: out forty five minutes, say off, and then what's what's
- 1:47:16Speaker 2: going on? Well, it seems that John Harball as a
- 1:47:19Speaker 2: head coach of the Ravens. Now he's the head coach
- 1:47:21Speaker 2: of the Giants. He was using all the days. So
- 1:47:26Speaker 2: if he was allowed fourteen days of full past practice,
- 1:47:29Speaker 2: he was using all fourteen days.
- 1:47:31Speaker 3: It's called football coach. Then that's how like the point?
- 1:47:33Speaker 3: Wait now, and a player said that he too hard on. Yeah,
- 1:47:38Speaker 3: he need to be cut expeditiously.
- 1:47:41Speaker 4: Now he said this where somebody heard him and wrote it. Yes, me,
- 1:47:48Speaker 4: you don't have to use all fourteen days.
- 1:47:50Speaker 3: I know they say you have.
- 1:47:51Speaker 2: Is he still with the team, Yes, they's still there,
- 1:47:54Speaker 2: but John's moved on. The new coach said it's going
- 1:47:58Speaker 2: to be easier.
- 1:47:59Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm only ten, okay, okay, and listen, man, I'm
- 1:48:04Speaker 4: from an era where you could sprain your ankle at
- 1:48:09Speaker 4: night and you just lift the work the next day
- 1:48:12Speaker 4: because you were scared to take a day off.
- 1:48:14Speaker 3: Like people would get rid of you if you weren't performing.
- 1:48:17Speaker 4: And now these people just be not showing up because man,
- 1:48:20Speaker 4: I got something better to do than't be where I'm
- 1:48:23Speaker 4: supposed to be doing what I'm supposed to be doing,
- 1:48:26Speaker 4: and they getting away with it like I was in
- 1:48:28Speaker 4: the workforce way too soon. Bro here now more a
- 1:48:32Speaker 4: sports shock show right after.
- 1:48:33Speaker 15: This with the swift lists, so get it right, but
- 1:48:37Speaker 15: the quickness let me handle my bitness show.
- 1:48:40Speaker 5: I'm going to missing that.
- 1:48:41Speaker 3: My mission won't stop until I get the want back
- 1:48:44Speaker 3: in that book. Stop.
- 1:48:45Speaker 2: I hope you.
- 1:48:48Speaker 9: Don't go awayne Board of the Sports John Show with
- 1:48:51Speaker 9: Wayne Gamsio is coming up next.
- 1:48:56Speaker 18: Nobody had to tell your grandparents not to drive all
- 1:48:59Speaker 18: using their type writers, Why should it be any different
- 1:49:03Speaker 18: for us kids and our cell phones. Distracted driving was
- 1:49:06Speaker 18: the cause of more than three thousand deaths in twenty
- 1:49:09Speaker 18: twenty two.
- 1:49:10Speaker 3: Come on, we're smarter than this.
- 1:49:12Speaker 18: Let's put down the phones and focus on the roads.

- 1:50:36Speaker 3: it's time for a school board.
- 1:50:38Speaker 24: Can we put a spin on life and sports and
- 1:50:41Speaker 24: how they intermingle on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:50:51Speaker 3: And none but against the body by study, put study
- 1:51:15Speaker 3: what to make?
- 1:51:15Speaker 21: This?
- 1:51:16Speaker 3: What shop? Shut?
- 1:51:16Speaker 20: This?
- 1:51:17Speaker 3: What shop?
- 1:51:17Speaker 2: Wing?
- 1:51:18Speaker 5: kN t?
- 1:51:19Speaker 2: Look out for a young man and uh, I know
- 1:51:22Speaker 2: a lot of us have heard this term, but this
- 1:51:24Speaker 2: is this young man's name. He's a junior Olympic running
- 1:51:28Speaker 2: out of Australia. He broke Usain boats junior record.
- 1:51:34Speaker 3: Oh he's fast.
- 1:51:35Speaker 2: Gout Gout went under twenty seconds at eighteen years old.
- 1:51:41Speaker 2: He's fast and the two hundred meters so eighteen look
- 1:51:45Speaker 2: out for that name, Gout Gout. He runs a two
- 1:51:49Speaker 2: hundred and to be able to say you broke anything
- 1:51:52Speaker 2: of Usain boats.
- 1:51:54Speaker 8: Say his name was Gout Gout. That's funny. Defeat fast
- 1:51:57Speaker 8: in this Gout Gout. Don't bullet you know that's crazy.
- 1:52:02Speaker 8: Let it, let it, let him stick with the joke.
- 1:52:05Speaker 8: Letick Kenny do the jokes.
- 1:52:07Speaker 4: On y'all try to be next week it'll be big Kenny.
- 1:52:11Speaker 4: Y'all get y'all tickets now.
- 1:52:14Speaker 2: Howard University women's basketball team has decided they will not
- 1:52:18Speaker 2: come out of the locker room next season during the
- 1:52:21Speaker 2: national anthem we start, which I thought we were kind
- 1:52:26Speaker 2: of past this, but comand you Greg is still on
- 1:52:28Speaker 2: this tip of HBCU Howard University, I.
- 1:52:32Speaker 3: Mean our Raider fan. Yeah right, he.
- 1:52:37Speaker 2: Interesting though. Howard University receives significant federal funding, a whole
- 1:52:45Speaker 2: lot of money, get a lot of money from the
- 1:52:47Speaker 2: federal government, roughly two hundred and fifty seven million dollars. Yes,
- 1:52:52Speaker 2: it's a whole lot of money in the Yeah, did
- 1:52:57Speaker 2: y'all be protesting this? It's a whole anthem.
- 1:53:00Speaker 3: Come if you don't get your out on that court
- 1:53:05Speaker 3: and put your hand on your heart.
- 1:53:07Speaker 2: No, no, say It seemed like the protest should be
- 1:53:09Speaker 2: the people that's getting like two three million dollars from
- 1:53:13Speaker 2: the government.
- 1:53:14Speaker 3: Can you protest somebody's giving you that kind of money?
- 1:53:16Speaker 3: Ain't enough. It's the principality, and it's not enough in there.
- 1:53:21Speaker 3: Excuse me, it's the principal. They receive more federal funding
- 1:53:26Speaker 3: than any HBCU.
- 1:53:30Speaker 4: And then tomorrow if the federal government says we are
- 1:53:36Speaker 4: now withholding their federal funds from all universities, not just
- 1:53:43Speaker 4: HBCUs who have teams that don't acknowledge the national anthem
- 1:53:50Speaker 4: before conference games, they scream race.
- 1:53:55Speaker 3: They left it.
- 1:53:56Speaker 6: They left the door open by saying, Okay, if you're
- 1:53:59Speaker 6: out there, you're going to stay, and if you're not
- 1:54:01Speaker 6: gonna stand, you can stay in the locker room. So
- 1:54:03Speaker 6: they get they took that option. They were giving that option,
- 1:54:06Speaker 6: and that's the one they took.
- 1:54:07Speaker 3: But I mean, come on, we beyond I'm beyond that
- 1:54:11Speaker 3: right now? What don't get to stay in the locker room.
- 1:54:13Speaker 3: Then they'd be out there.
- 1:54:14Speaker 2: What what's the problem that they don't want to see
- 1:54:16Speaker 2: the flag now they don't want to stay be patriots
- 1:54:20Speaker 2: or be American don't no, no, no, no, that's not
- 1:54:22Speaker 2: my problem.
- 1:54:23Speaker 4: No no, My problem isn't how you feel and your action.
- 1:54:29Speaker 4: If you don't believe in standing for the national anthem,
- 1:54:33Speaker 4: you should be If he wants to change his name
- 1:54:35Speaker 4: to Muhammed Ali, he ought to be allowed to change
- 1:54:38Speaker 4: his name to Muhammed Ali, but don't.
- 1:54:42Speaker 3: Want to be a revolutionary but still get a government check.
- 1:54:49Speaker 3: That's all.
- 1:54:50Speaker 2: That's what I have a problem with. You still want
- 1:54:55Speaker 2: that handout, That's what. That's the problem I have with all.
- 1:54:59Speaker 2: I'm saying, there is something gotta give you with me
- 1:55:05Speaker 2: or against me. I can't keep supporting you for hating me.
- 1:55:10Speaker 2: I'm say, can I write a letter very interesting on
- 1:55:14Speaker 2: that account?
- 1:55:15Speaker 30: Like you?
- 1:55:16Speaker 3: When I looked it up, I ain't like me. I
- 1:55:18Speaker 3: just said, come, I just not hate. Just even I'm saying.
- 1:55:22Speaker 8: Where you're promoting what you what you're promoted, and if
- 1:55:26Speaker 8: you are against the United States government, if you are
- 1:55:30Speaker 8: against the federal government, then you should be against all
- 1:55:33Speaker 8: of those things.
- 1:55:34Speaker 3: That they stand for.
- 1:55:35Speaker 4: Yeah, giving you money, and that's just mine. That's my
- 1:55:38Speaker 4: con that that's that's my conventional wisdom. I the stuff
- 1:55:43Speaker 4: that I don't mess with, I don't mess with a
- 1:55:45Speaker 4: little bit. I abstain completely from that because I don't
- 1:55:49Speaker 4: believe in it or anything that it's about. So I
- 1:55:53Speaker 4: don't want you to get confused about my stance. I'm
- 1:55:57Speaker 4: staying away. These people should do the same.
- 1:56:00Speaker 2: Fans are upset with the high cost of World Cup tickets.
- 1:56:04Speaker 2: Different information is coming out of New Jersey as well.
- 1:56:07Speaker 2: In New Jersey, transit round trip train fair for each
- 1:56:11Speaker 2: match will be about one hundred and fifty dollars round trip.
- 1:56:16Speaker 2: The New Jersey Governor, Mike Ryl, wants feeful to contribute
- 1:56:22Speaker 2: to the fund for transit security, So the governor is
- 1:56:28Speaker 2: looking for fee for the step in and help pay
- 1:56:30Speaker 2: for security on these train rides. New Jersey is saying
- 1:56:35Speaker 2: it's going to be about the warning one fifty for
- 1:56:39Speaker 2: a round trip on the transit during the World Cup,
- 1:56:43Speaker 2: and fans are already upset with some of the World
- 1:56:47Speaker 2: ticket I think World Cup tickets. I just think that
- 1:56:50Speaker 2: I said at the beginning, sports has become so powerful
- 1:56:56Speaker 2: that events worldwide are being vaded by the two percent
- 1:57:08Speaker 2: of the world that can afford it, and they're coming
- 1:57:13Speaker 2: in and they might not follow the sport at all
- 1:57:16Speaker 2: the whole time. It's kind of like the super Bowl.
- 1:57:20Speaker 2: I don't know what two teams are there. You imagine
- 1:57:23Speaker 2: when they first started the Super Bowl, it was just
- 1:57:25Speaker 2: like any kind of game. But you go to an
- 1:57:28Speaker 2: Auburn Alabama game, you expect this, it's going to be
- 1:57:30Speaker 2: Auburn and Alabama. But just like the bad doucer saying
- 1:57:34Speaker 2: on his bucket list is to go to it's becoming
- 1:57:40Speaker 2: like that where you're getting these you know, well, let's
- 1:57:43Speaker 2: just go to this.
- 1:57:47Speaker 3: And I got for a round trip.
- 1:57:50Speaker 2: That's taking the tickets up from the from the pure
- 1:57:53Speaker 2: fan who really follows it, but you're not going to
- 1:57:56Speaker 2: be able to get to You follow them on the start,
- 1:58:00Speaker 2: Oh yeah, but when they finally got to the final destination,
- 1:58:04Speaker 2: people that hadn't been any of the shows now want
- 1:58:09Speaker 2: to see it because that's what it is. They become
- 1:58:12Speaker 2: and all of a sudden, you don't have the six
- 1:58:15Speaker 2: you think they're trying to make and they do.
- 1:58:17Speaker 8: You think trains are trying to make up for the
- 1:58:19Speaker 8: money they hadn't been making with people that don't have
- 1:58:22Speaker 8: normally ride because they're talking about for extra security. And
- 1:58:25Speaker 8: I thought the FEDS were once again providing a little
- 1:58:28Speaker 8: extra money for this situation with the World Cup. There
- 1:58:31Speaker 8: is something so it's not adding up that they have
- 1:58:33Speaker 8: to charge the fans that additional money.
- 1:58:36Speaker 3: Well, think about this on the train ride.
- 1:58:38Speaker 2: If you look at I'm not gonna I'm not gonna
- 1:58:41Speaker 2: have anything the same price. Those days are over. Only
- 1:58:47Speaker 2: the Masters is kicking with that with the two dollars
- 1:58:53Speaker 2: cheese sandwich from nineteen seventy. They make money other ways.
- 1:58:56Speaker 2: When you go places you're going to be just like
- 1:58:58Speaker 2: with the uber, Yes, certain time of day, certain US
- 1:59:03Speaker 2: uber goes up right everything, That's how everything is gonna.
- 1:59:06Speaker 2: Hotel goes up right. That's what I'm saying.
- 1:59:10Speaker 4: When you when you talk about you really want to
- 1:59:12Speaker 4: be here, you're gonna pay it. And and this is
- 1:59:14Speaker 4: the thing when you talk about a transit system, these trains,
- 1:59:17Speaker 4: these buses, those kinds of things have already quantified numbers
- 1:59:21Speaker 4: of riders that they can handle per day. The World
- 1:59:23Speaker 4: Cup is going to exceed that by tens of thousands
- 1:59:28Speaker 4: of riders per day. The supply and demand of that
- 1:59:32Speaker 4: will require that you bring in extra staff. They don't
- 1:59:35Speaker 4: have them trained already, so they're gonna have to bring
- 1:59:37Speaker 4: them from a place that train staff to do stuff
- 1:59:40Speaker 4: like this.
- 1:59:41Speaker 2: The cleanup, the garbage, everything is going to be extra.
- 1:59:44Speaker 2: And and it sounds like the destination. They're saying, if
- 1:59:48Speaker 2: you're going to I guess a stop that takes you
- 1:59:50Speaker 2: to that event, not just you going on your regular
- 1:59:56Speaker 2: daily life. You're going you going from Vye. Yeah, what
- 2:00:00Speaker 2: about the regular work? People just got to pay that
- 2:00:02Speaker 2: extra that's that's that's that's not a round trip. That's
- 2:00:06Speaker 2: not a round trip. Maybe you just gone from Vine
- 2:00:08Speaker 2: City to Renom's time.
- 2:00:11Speaker 3: No, but I'm saying, if you're going to work, if
- 2:00:12Speaker 3: you're not going to World Cup, you're going to work
- 2:00:14Speaker 3: that day, you got to pay you get in tax.
- 2:00:18Speaker 2: No, well, you mean if you're going to work, if
- 2:00:21Speaker 2: you not commuting to you you're normally you commute on
- 2:00:25Speaker 2: the train to go to work every day, and then
- 2:00:27Speaker 2: all of a sudden the World Cup in you got
- 2:00:28Speaker 2: to pay that extra tax that they're taxing the people
- 2:00:31Speaker 2: where you normally it's only a thirty dollars commute for
- 2:00:33Speaker 2: you and you're just trying to go make a living.
- 2:00:37Speaker 2: I would a doubt bad producer that the powers that
- 2:00:41Speaker 2: be that's going to be the truth. I'm quite sure
- 2:00:44Speaker 2: those people will have a voucher or something to say
- 2:00:47Speaker 2: to help out.
- 2:00:47Speaker 3: The Yeah, a monthly riders, the ass or something.
- 2:00:50Speaker 8: Okay, hopefully they will declare at least residents they're not
- 2:00:55Speaker 8: part of that.
- 2:00:56Speaker 3: Okay, that's fine, I'm with that.
- 2:00:58Speaker 2: But the days of all that, Yeah, we're international, all
- 2:01:02Speaker 2: sports are international now that we're inviting the world to everything,
- 2:01:07Speaker 2: and we're not getting used to that extra money.
- 2:01:11Speaker 4: And if you think the United States got some money,
- 2:01:15Speaker 4: go outside and then people got money.
- 2:01:21Speaker 3: And we are an ocean. The truth is he will
- 2:01:26Speaker 3: throw your in the ocean.
- 2:01:28Speaker 24: It's time to wrap things up on the Sports jug Show.
- 2:01:32Speaker 3: With Wayne Candy. When you hear the size of the
- 2:01:58Speaker 3: ocean gives a sport shocks, you had some in there
- 2:02:00Speaker 3: to vent.
- 2:02:01Speaker 2: We'd like to thank you for tuning in to today's show,
- 2:02:05Speaker 2: comand you, Greg mc kenny, our producer, thank you for
- 2:02:09Speaker 2: your contributions to Jay. Going in the ocean is the
- 2:02:16Speaker 2: monopoly that we have discussed so many times that connection fee.
- 2:02:24Speaker 2: We've been talking about Ticketmaster Live Nation. I've been trying
- 2:02:32Speaker 2: to tell Big Kenny and the rest of you. These
- 2:02:35Speaker 2: people are buying up all the tickets and then selling
- 2:02:38Speaker 2: them to themselves to sell to you. That's what they've
- 2:02:43Speaker 2: been doing. Buy the ticket, selling them themselves and sell
- 2:02:46Speaker 2: them to you. They called out a monopoly. They make
- 2:02:51Speaker 2: it the only people in town that got tickets at them.
- 2:02:55Speaker 2: Federal government has found them guilty of monopolizing, bringing that hammer,
- 2:03:01Speaker 2: over charging fans, but over charge.
- 2:03:04Speaker 3: But I noticed the prices have been a little lower.
- 2:03:07Speaker 2: Yeah, because we don't need a charge to talk to
- 2:03:10Speaker 2: you to sin and then when we flip over and
- 2:03:14Speaker 2: then deliver it in the email, all that don't need
- 2:03:17Speaker 2: a charge but email charge.
- 2:03:19Speaker 3: Oh yeah, eliminate the email charge. Allo, Now I'm appealed.
- 2:03:24Speaker 3: The prices have been a little lower, if you notice.
- 2:03:28Speaker 2: And I think we need to give Taylor Swift yes
- 2:03:32Speaker 2: around the applause for exposing because that's when everybody really
- 2:03:37Speaker 2: started paying at ordinary people because the Swifty said no, no, no,
- 2:03:45Speaker 2: y'all can do that. On the peeh, y'all could do that,
- 2:03:49Speaker 2: but him you saved that. For June tenth, we don't
- 2:03:52Speaker 2: do that around here. The Swifties were not having it.
- 2:03:56Speaker 4: Tickets went on sailing midnight and by midnight twelve oh
- 2:04:01Speaker 4: one they were sold out for an eighty thousand CED arena.
- 2:04:04Speaker 3: No we live nation.
- 2:04:07Speaker 2: Who are the entertainment company that own ticketmasters clank? One
- 2:04:15Speaker 2: place to make the product, one place to collect our
- 2:04:19Speaker 2: money for Big Kenny the funny Man himself, the bad producer.
- 2:04:26Speaker 2: Command you, Greg, we'ld hope you have a great week.
- 2:04:29Speaker 2: Enjoy your day from the Sportshok Show.
- 2:04:32Speaker 3: Peace,
