- 0:00SPEAKER_00: As we were talking about what was your kid's sandwich and do you still eat it today?
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: And it's real easy for these conversations to drift, so we have to keep it as pure as possible.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: Mine was baloney, white bread, and yellow French's mustard.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: And I have not had one probably since before I was 16.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: And then Tiffany brought bologna home one day, and all of a sudden I'm like, give me the bread now.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: And I would, if someone showed up with Oscar Meyer, preferably all beef bologna, because now I'm a baloney snob.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: See how I can drift?
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: See?
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: It wasn't that back in the day.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: Oh, by the way.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: You would get all lips and buttholes back in the day.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: Let me tell you, the other thing too is my mom, every once in a while, used to make it a game for me at lunch, and she'd forget to peel off the Wunderbar red circle stuff.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, oh I love that stuff.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: No!
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: No, no, I don't love eating it.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: I just love doing it.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: It was the satisfaction of when you would bite into it thinking that your sandwich is fully prepped and it's halfway down your throat going, actually, here's the thing.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: Did you not see the red?
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: I was too busy talking to my friends, but all of a sudden I take a bite out of the baloney sandwich with the old uh with the old red circle on it, and you'd hear you'd feel this in your throat.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: I'm like, it was like eating a big thick hair, and I'd had to pull it backwards out.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: Like a magician, it just kept coming from my small intestine.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: That's why I don't get that kind.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: That's why I'm always like, you know, no.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: But anyway, that's it, it can drift easily.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: So Pony Joe goes, put Doritos on the baloney sandwich.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: Oh, yes.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: That was our pool.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: See, there's a difference.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: Bologna and mustard for lunches, baloney mustard Doritos by the pool.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: By the way, mine was this is weird, but my friend Stephanie ate it the uh sandwich this way, and then I started adopting it.
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: Salami.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: Black olives mustard.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: So good.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: Yes, but do you eat it still today?
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: That's the it.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: I want it.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: I want it.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: I now that I but if I did if I did it today, I would do something that I haven't done or I did not do as a kid.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: Add a little onion.
- 2:03unknown: Wow.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: Your breath is going to be something to behold.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: You just said salami, olives, and uh and now onion.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: How are you?
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: Three, two, one.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: We're listening to Scott and Allie.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: Scott and Allie's big three.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: Now, this conversation started with what was your kid's sandwich?
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: Do you still eat it today?
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: And we had we got a text, and this one actually, it is a very funny follow-up text.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: Uh, this originally came from uh, let's see, 1835, bologna and ketchup, right?
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: And you would say, Well, do you still eat it today?
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: And they go, We were poor, okay?
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: LOL.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: But listen, my parents were very frugal now that I look back on it.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: And they said Or is it it just tasted good?
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: Well, that's my parents were not poor, but I ate the exact same sandwich.
- 2:50SPEAKER_01: That really sounds like snoppy.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: My parents weren't poor.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: Why does poor food taste bad now?
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: But back in the day it was delicious.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: It was like baloney and everything else.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: If I ate bologna right now, it would still taste good to me.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: Damn right.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: Anyway, they said uh I don't really uh they don't really eat mustard because it makes their tongue swell.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: Oh, that sucks.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's so hence the ketchup.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: I understand.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: And they said they don't eat it anymore because that makes them thick sinking sick thinking about uh baloney now because I ate it so much as a kid.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: So this relates to a story that one of our coworkers, Rizzo, said the other day.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: His mom, because again, they were poor.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: Yes, used to make tuna sandwiches.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: He goes, they were four inches high, loaded with so much tuna.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: He goes, I can't even eat tuna anymore.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: He goes, I can't look at it.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: I mean, that was the biggest tuna, just because you gotta fill them up, right?
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: Oh, wait, there are there's at least five or six more texts we have to read in a second, but let me get to the big three and I'll make it quick.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: Does anybody uh jump on my controversial statement?
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Bologna, far better than PB and J.
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: Most controversial statement of the century so far.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: No, I there's just some interesting sandwiches that are coming in.
- 4:01SPEAKER_01: We'll get there.
- 4:01SPEAKER_01: The big three brought to you by ENV Energy, the no-fee fuel company, fueling your home farm, or business.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: It keeps getting chillier and chillier.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: Oh, even Natalie texted this morning.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: She's like, oh my god.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, make sure that you call them for all your heating needs.
- 4:18SPEAKER_01: Hurricane Polo.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: Polo is the name we're on now.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: Now, Dolly couldn't last more than 30 seconds, but Hurricane Polo, different story, intensified into a Cat 5 storm off the southwestern Mexico off of southwestern Mexico with sustained winds of 165 miles per hour.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: The National Hurricane Center called it extremely dangerous.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: And Senator John Curtis of Utah is urging the Senate Judiciary Committee to subpoena Donald Trump Jr.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: Wait, and Hunter Biden.
- 4:51SPEAKER_01: Two totally different sides of the fence, right?
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: But it's over their foreign business ties.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: This follows some reports that um the oligarch in Russia paid for uh Trump Jr.'s post-wedding Caribbean celebration.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna guess that wasn't just a gift.
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: Hunter Biden, he said though, I'll sit next to Don Jr.
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: and testify anytime, any place.
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: Oh, homie's gotten sober and now he's gotten getting loud, yeah.
- 5:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:19SPEAKER_01: And a federal judge Homie's gotten sober.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: Infotainment people, that's the show.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: We're not going for any Purelit surprise here.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: Purel.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: It's part of the uh the 12-step, you know, coming out with your truth.
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: A federal judge has ordered loud and getting loud.
- 5:38SPEAKER_01: A federal judge has ordered Texas to install air conditioning in all state prisons by December 31st of 2029, saying that the extreme heat violates the Constitution's ban on cruel and unusual punishments.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: But you had me at Texas when you started going there.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: I immediately I'm like, it's a conqueror.
- 5:56SPEAKER_01: You know, I didn't realize that they didn't have uh AC in there.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: Now I'll tell you where it's gonna piss me off.
- 6:02unknown: Where?
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: If they don't have it in every school as well as every prison.
- 6:05SPEAKER_01: Bingo.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: So if you're gonna make sure it's in every prison, you better make sure it's in every school.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: Also, I think that would be agreed upon here in New York State, too.
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and we definitely don't have the Texas heat, but I would yeah, I would agree with that.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah anyway, there's the there's the big three.
