Same Turbulence, Different Flight
During airplane turbulence, one passenger may become frightened while the person beside them calmly continues watching a movie or even sleeps through it. Episode 279 uses that contrast to explore how differently people can experience the same circumstances. Our reactions are influenced by far more than what's happening externally. Past experiences, fears, expectations and perspective all shape our internal reality. Perhaps empathy begins when we recognise that just because something doesn't feel significant to us doesn't mean it isn't significant to someone else.
