- 2:57Speaker 4: Yeah, when you're teaching like the child does, like swallowed medicine,
- 3:02Speaker 4: they start with like like an eminem or something like that.
- 3:05Speaker 4: Do you need to go back to practice?
- 3:07Speaker 6: Is that real?
- 3:08Speaker 5: Swallow an eminem? I don't think I could do that either.
- 3:10Speaker 5: I remember one time I had to run a car
- 3:12Speaker 5: with a smart car. I looked like a peanut eminem
- 3:14Speaker 5: pitting inside that thing. It was awful, too big for
- 3:18Speaker 5: the cars.
- 3:18Speaker 4: What I'm saying, you looked like a peanut and it's like.
- 3:20Speaker 5: All cramped in there like this. I was like right
- 3:22Speaker 5: on top of the wheel. I didn't like it.
- 3:24Speaker 6: Okay, I didn't know you have to do that with eminem's.
- 3:27Speaker 4: Well, you can do like any any little treat, okay, wander,

- 3:38Speaker 7: Yeah, I broke my neck this morning.
- 3:39Speaker 4: Yeah, we broke our neck for sure. Wondering he was, yeah,
- 3:44Speaker 4: why did he just tell you to break your neck?
- 3:45Speaker 8: Because all you said was a landra break your neck. Yeah,
- 3:50Speaker 8: and so I knew what to do. But somebody that.
- 3:53Speaker 7: Is unfamiliar to mister Buster rhymes.
- 3:57Speaker 6: We don't know that. Do you know Buster rhymes?
- 3:59Speaker 7: You know Buster Rhymes, so.
- 4:02Speaker 8: I can hear you he said, he said it was
- 4:05Speaker 8: he said no, the smile on his face, so I
- 4:08Speaker 8: think he enjoyed it.
- 4:09Speaker 5: Mister Buster had this conversation in the future. Do not
- 4:12Speaker 5: call him mister Buster to anyone.
- 4:13Speaker 7: No, it's Buster Rhymes.
- 4:16Speaker 2: It's mister Rhymes. Obviously.
- 4:17Speaker 4: Here's a Okay, let me ask you this. So South
- 4:20Speaker 4: Louisiana around bet Rovige areat Taylor, when you grew up
- 4:23Speaker 4: and you knew somebody's like their parents. Let's say your
- 4:27Speaker 4: friend's name was Buster Rhymes and his last name is Rhymes.
- 4:31Speaker 4: Name was a Buster. Yeah, okay, the father was Buster Rhymes.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Did you call him mister Buster or mister Okay, Alandra,
- 4:39Speaker 4: what did you do?
- 4:40Speaker 7: I would call them like mister Buster.
- 4:44Speaker 4: Where I grew up, No one it was mister Rhymes always.
- 4:47Speaker 4: It was always this is the last name for sure.
- 4:51Speaker 8: Also, like the parents of my friends never cared if
- 4:54Speaker 8: I just called them by their actual name. I never did,
- 4:59Speaker 8: but they would be like, well, because I had friends
- 5:02Speaker 8: that their parents were from California. So when I would
- 5:05Speaker 8: go over there and I'd say yes, ma'am to the mom,
- 5:07Speaker 8: she would be like, don't call me man.
- 5:09Speaker 6: Man was my father.
- 5:10Speaker 7: No, literally, uh, it's it's California.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Yeah. When I got to when I got to Baton Rouge,
- 5:17Speaker 4: it was the first time I was like, what did
- 5:19Speaker 4: you just call him his first name? I was like,
- 5:22Speaker 4: I was looking around, like did anyone else hear that
- 5:25Speaker 4: we're about to get beat? Or what's going to happen?
- 5:27Speaker 8: Now?
- 5:27Speaker 7: Your dad? Was he mister a Bomb?
- 5:29Speaker 2: Or was he just well?
- 5:30Speaker 4: But when I got to high school, it just it
- 5:32Speaker 4: switched to a bomb. It was mister Flynn everybody else.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Yeah, and then sir abamb didn't sir.
- 5:39Speaker 5: I don't like being called mister chriss. It makes you
- 5:40Speaker 5: feel like I'm not a children's show whatever.
- 5:42Speaker 7: My friend's kids call me miss a Landra. I'm like please.
- 5:46Speaker 4: I was really hoping that you were on the same page.
- 5:48Speaker 4: It was like one of those snowball snow cone situation, right,
- 5:52Speaker 4: you know what I mean?
- 5:52Speaker 5: It was just but mister Snowball, mister ball, Hey, mister ball.
- 5:58Speaker 5: Uh yeah, that's always that's always mister b mister.
- 6:02Speaker 9: Dale back than mister he's forty.
- 6:09Speaker 2: You don't have to call me miss mom.
- 6:14Speaker 6: Work on it.
- 6:15Speaker 5: I don't, yeah, I don't. I was always you have
- 6:16Speaker 5: to go mister missus last name. Actually, I think my
- 6:19Speaker 5: first babysitter was Miss Debbie.
- 6:22Speaker 7: She was young.
- 6:23Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:24Speaker 5: I couldn't pronounce her last name though, that's awesome. I
- 6:27Speaker 5: can nailed it now.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Little yeah, little Debbie.
- 6:30Speaker 5: Yeah, hell yeah, big dead big for my pop tarts.
- 6:39Speaker 4: Hey you got a you had a big event this weekend?
- 6:42Speaker 6: Oh? I do you do? I do?
- 6:45Speaker 7: What is it?
- 6:46Speaker 6: Bachelor party?
- 6:48Speaker 4: Oh?
- 6:48Speaker 7: I can't wait to crash it?
- 6:49Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 6:50Speaker 2: Was getting married?
- 6:52Speaker 5: Me?
- 6:52Speaker 6: What we are going to LEXI? Oh yeah, bro, No,
- 7:01Speaker 6: we're going to New Orleans. Ever heard of it? I have,
- 7:04Speaker 6: So we're gonna do that.
- 7:05Speaker 4: Uh.
- 7:05Speaker 5: Friends, some of my friends are not thrilled that we're
- 7:07Speaker 5: doing New Orleans in August.
- 7:10Speaker 7: Also for like three days, right, I.
- 7:12Speaker 6: Mean we're gonna everyone to do their Thursday night. We're
- 7:14Speaker 6: leaving Sunday morning.
- 7:15Speaker 4: Well, it's probably gonna be a good timing because like
- 7:17Speaker 4: we got that cool frat coming in. Well.
- 7:20Speaker 5: I was like, they were like, we can do June
- 7:22Speaker 5: or August, that's the best for everyone's schedule. I was like, well,
- 7:25Speaker 5: we cannot do June because you guys don't understand it.
- 7:27Speaker 5: But LSU baseball will probably be in omaha, and they
- 7:30Speaker 5: were like, that's pretty assumptive, and I was like, that's but.
- 7:32Speaker 7: It's the same as.
- 7:36Speaker 6: You guys don't get it right.
- 7:37Speaker 5: We all played baseball together, Chris, and I was like, oh, yeah,
- 7:40Speaker 5: a good point. You guys actually played, so that makes sense.
- 7:45Speaker 6: But uh yeah. So then we were like, let's just
- 7:46Speaker 6: do August and Awful. It's gonna be hot, but you know,
- 7:51Speaker 6: but it's gonna be fun. It's gonna be fun very Yeah.
- 7:55Speaker 4: We're just gonna you don't have to walk that many places.
- 7:58Speaker 2: In the hotel too. Yeah, you can stay inside the
- 8:02Speaker 2: whole time.
- 8:03Speaker 7: So where' all gonna go.
- 8:05Speaker 5: Uh, it's going to be very old white people's stuff.
- 8:07Speaker 5: We're going to do World War two museum on Friday morning,
- 8:11Speaker 5: fired up. It's like a top ten museum in the world.
- 8:13Speaker 5: I'm very excited about that.
- 8:14Speaker 4: It's a great museum.
- 8:15Speaker 6: Yeah I'm not.
- 8:16Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 8:16Speaker 7: I have nothing against the museum.
- 8:18Speaker 5: Sounds like you have something against the ward.
- 8:22Speaker 7: I have nothing against World War Two. I mean I do.
- 8:25Speaker 8: I've like we shouldn't have done it right, like the
- 8:27Speaker 8: world shouldn't have been at war.
- 8:29Speaker 6: I'm not going to get into this with you.
- 8:31Speaker 4: I don't.
- 8:32Speaker 6: Probably, I don't think we can.
- 8:33Speaker 8: Obviously Hitler shouldn't have done what he did, right, I
- 8:36Speaker 8: think we all agree, yes, So yes, I have something
- 8:39Speaker 8: against the war.
- 8:39Speaker 6: I don't have.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Anything in museum.
- 8:40Speaker 6: We shouldn't have been in war.
- 8:42Speaker 8: As the world y, he shouldn't. Why are we getting
- 8:46Speaker 8: into some mantics right now? I want to talk about
- 8:48Speaker 8: how you're going to a museum for your bachelor party.
- 8:52Speaker 5: Well, you know, obviously we shouldn't have been in that war.
- 8:55Speaker 5: We're gonna do World War two museum first, and we're
- 8:57Speaker 5: doing Vietnam and Iraq after that.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Like an anti war shirt.
- 9:00Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm just gonna seeing Bruce Springsteen.
- 9:05Speaker 6: You know my least favorite part about this war, all
- 9:07Speaker 6: of it.
- 9:08Speaker 5: Yeah, you were the episode of the Office where they
- 9:10Speaker 5: go to the troops both sides.
- 9:18Speaker 6: Now I'm really excited about that. I've never been. And
- 9:20Speaker 6: you're gonna say.
- 9:21Speaker 9: Those museums awesome, like three hours, it's a long boy,
- 9:25Speaker 9: it's a great museum all day and drink.
- 9:28Speaker 6: I can't do that anymore. I just don't have it
- 9:29Speaker 6: in me.
- 9:30Speaker 7: I just feel like that's what you're supposed to do
- 9:32Speaker 7: on your bachelor party.
- 9:33Speaker 5: Oh, this is around two so I don't know if
- 9:34Speaker 5: I should be doing that the second time. Also, I'm forty,
- 9:36Speaker 5: so it's like it's only so much drinking you can
- 9:39Speaker 5: do without.
- 9:41Speaker 6: Blood blood blug. I'm either glugging or.
- 9:44Speaker 4: I kind of like it. It's gonna be fun, that's uh.
- 9:47Speaker 4: I took we took the family to the World War
- 9:49Speaker 4: II Museum. It was great, but there was only Yeah,
- 9:54Speaker 4: there's only so like when you bring kids, there's an
- 9:56Speaker 4: expiration date to the museum, to anything. So there. I
- 9:58Speaker 4: would have liked to spend a little bit more time there.
- 10:00Speaker 4: I mean you could spend you can spend all day there.
- 10:02Speaker 4: I've been like, I know people that have gone to
- 10:04Speaker 4: it and have made like a two three day trip
- 10:06Speaker 4: out of it.
- 10:07Speaker 5: I remember so in Atlanta, there's there's a couple of
- 10:09Speaker 5: good museums in Atlanta. Colleturuball Hall of Fame is there.
- 10:11Speaker 5: I'll never forget this. This is a this is a
- 10:13Speaker 5: pretty big egg on your face moment. In Atlanta where
- 10:17Speaker 5: the Media Days was last year, that little area there's
- 10:20Speaker 5: a Colleturbare Hall of Fame, and there's the Museum of
- 10:22Speaker 5: Coke and there's like Coca Cola and then there's a
- 10:26Speaker 5: very different museums. One of them was completely unfinished, but
- 10:30Speaker 5: they had very really big aspirations. And then there's the
- 10:33Speaker 5: Civil Rights Museum. And the Civil Rights Museum is really
- 10:35Speaker 5: interesting because you know, like I had that was like
- 10:37Speaker 5: part of my degree, and so I was excited to
- 10:40Speaker 5: go to that at some point. But I remember one
- 10:41Speaker 5: day I was like allf for work twenty fourteen. I
- 10:43Speaker 5: was like, oh my god, the Hall of Fame just opened.
- 10:45Speaker 5: I'm gonna go down there. I'm gonna wear the shirt
- 10:47Speaker 5: of my favorite team, okay, which is a no Alabama dress.
- 10:54Speaker 5: I'm addressed in like an Alabama polo and Alabama hat.
- 10:57Speaker 5: And they were I walk in, They're like still working
- 10:59Speaker 5: on it, like still doing instruction.
- 11:00Speaker 6: We're not open for three more weeks.
- 11:01Speaker 4: I was like, oh, okay, get all dressed.
- 11:04Speaker 6: Up for Yeah.
- 11:05Speaker 5: So I was like, well, I'm already down here, I
- 11:06Speaker 5: might as well go to a different museum. And so
- 11:08Speaker 5: then I went to the Civil Rights Museum, but I
- 11:10Speaker 5: was wearing still wearing the same clothes.
- 11:13Speaker 6: I didn't love that.
- 11:14Speaker 5: Why head to toe in Alabama gear walking around the
- 11:17Speaker 5: Civil Rights Museum not great.
- 11:19Speaker 6: Optics. Optics were bad.
- 11:23Speaker 2: It reminds me O the Shane gell a skit. He's
- 11:27Speaker 2: the football coach.
- 11:28Speaker 6: It was tough.
- 11:30Speaker 5: It was not my favorite, but I'm excited for it
- 11:32Speaker 5: was a nice museum. It's a great museum. It's awesome.
- 11:35Speaker 5: It's it's it's really really well done. But I'm excited
- 11:38Speaker 5: for Nola. It should be a lot of fun. Hunt's
- 11:40Speaker 5: given me a bunch of recommendations.
- 11:43Speaker 9: Also, shout out to Hunt because we didn't know that restaurant.
- 11:48Speaker 9: You would ask Cassie and Jesse you would live there,
- 11:50Speaker 9: They're like, oh, you got to go, So like, shout
- 11:52Speaker 9: out up, dude.
- 11:53Speaker 2: I've been in New Allan's plenty of times. I'd never
- 11:54Speaker 2: heard of it, So that's on me.
- 11:55Speaker 5: I brought it up to somebody else the other day
- 11:57Speaker 5: and they're like, never heard of it, And it was
- 11:58Speaker 5: like a person that's been here for right.
- 12:00Speaker 9: I mean, dude, I've lived here my whole life and
- 12:02Speaker 9: I've been rid of it.
- 12:03Speaker 6: Mister Johns, that's where the longest crashing where, mister Johnes.
- 12:09Speaker 7: That's the place. The restaurant I thought were Johns. I
- 12:13Speaker 7: thought we were doing the name thing again.
- 12:15Speaker 6: It kind of full circle.
- 12:16Speaker 4: There you go. Sorry, I was trying to look at
- 12:19Speaker 4: top break museums in the country.
- 12:20Speaker 6: What are they?
- 12:21Speaker 4: Well, I'm trying to find it.
- 12:24Speaker 6: I mean I feel like this one.
- 12:25Speaker 2: I mean smith Smithsonian Museum of Natural History.
- 12:28Speaker 4: They got to be up there, right, Yeah, I mean
- 12:30Speaker 4: I would say it's I would say World War two
- 12:31Speaker 4: is top ten and it's not.
- 12:32Speaker 5: Ten, it's top ten in the in the world apparently
- 12:35Speaker 5: in the world. Yeah, with the Louverra that one over
- 12:39Speaker 5: there in France, with that little uh.
- 12:40Speaker 4: I've been Pyramid, I've been to that one. Overrated, isn't it. No,
- 12:44Speaker 4: it's pretty good. It's pretty good. There's a lot of
- 12:47Speaker 4: people that's like that was probably number one. Yeah, probably
- 12:51Speaker 4: probably the best one I've been to. It was probably
- 12:54Speaker 4: probably rated, but very it was very crowded. Yeah, like
- 12:57Speaker 4: I wouldn't go again. Line, I wouldn't go again.
- 12:59Speaker 6: Yeah, I wouldn't go to France again.
- 13:02Speaker 4: You knows, most people like weren't there. I could get
- 13:05Speaker 4: a private tour the whole thing.
- 13:09Speaker 5: Need a launder protested there one time but super glue
- 13:12Speaker 5: on our hands and then stuck it to the Mona Lisa.
- 13:14Speaker 8: Where Oh I don't have a passport, So it was
- 13:20Speaker 8: one of those things.
- 13:21Speaker 7: I don't have a passport so that's not true.
- 13:24Speaker 2: It's the only thing that doing it.
- 13:27Speaker 6: We would have done it.
- 13:28Speaker 4: I do think that Mona Lisa is one of the
- 13:30Speaker 4: most overrated things on planet Earth.
- 13:33Speaker 7: She just tickler.
- 13:35Speaker 4: I don't it's like, okay, it's a yeah. If I
- 13:39Speaker 4: painted that, I'd be proud. I'd be like, I did
- 13:41Speaker 4: pretty good on that one. That looks like a pretty
- 13:43Speaker 4: good face, pretty good hair, yeah, all that stuff. So
- 13:47Speaker 4: it's like super crowded in this room. You go there
- 13:50Speaker 4: and the painting is very small. Yeah, so I got
- 13:53Speaker 4: a glimpse of it from from like a distance. So,
- 13:56Speaker 4: like you walk into this big room and the Mona
- 13:58Speaker 4: Lisa is like in the middle, and like this wall
- 14:00Speaker 4: that's right in the center of the room. So they
- 14:02Speaker 4: built this wall to put the Mondo Lease sign. And
- 14:04Speaker 4: there's this huge line to go like to walk up
- 14:07Speaker 4: to it. You take pictures and see it. I don't
- 14:09Speaker 4: know if you can take pictures or not. Like, so
- 14:13Speaker 4: there's this huge line and if you're not in the line,
- 14:15Speaker 4: you can barely see it. You have to exit this
- 14:18Speaker 4: line and you can walk to on the side of
- 14:20Speaker 4: this wall. And so the person that was showing us
- 14:23Speaker 4: around and telling us about and telling us all the stories.
- 14:25Speaker 4: They're like, you can wait in line. It's gonna be
- 14:26Speaker 4: about thirty forty minutes or whatever. And we've already waited
- 14:29Speaker 4: in a billion lines at this museum. And so you
- 14:33Speaker 4: can walk to the side of it and get a
- 14:35Speaker 4: you can see it, get a glimpse of it, but
- 14:37Speaker 4: you can't stop because there's security guards that are patrolling everywhere,
- 14:40Speaker 4: and you can't unless you waited in line. You can't
- 14:43Speaker 4: stop and look at it. You have to keep walking.
- 14:46Speaker 4: So yeah, I had to walk by and just get
- 14:47Speaker 4: a glimpse of So I just like looked at the
- 14:49Speaker 4: picture of the painting. I was on the wall.
- 14:52Speaker 6: You're already there and you didn't even go.
- 14:55Speaker 4: I didn't wait in line. No, it's crazy, no, because
- 14:58Speaker 4: that's an overrated painting.
- 15:00Speaker 5: Is how Cassie looks at me when I tell a
- 15:01Speaker 5: joke that she doesn't think is funny.
- 15:04Speaker 4: Well, is she smiling or is.
- 15:05Speaker 6: She It was like a look of disgust for the
- 15:07Speaker 6: fake smile.
- 15:10Speaker 7: I don't feel like she looks disgusted.
- 15:12Speaker 4: You don't.
- 15:13Speaker 6: She just seems like she's like I feel like she just.
- 15:15Speaker 8: Looks normal, like she's just yeah person, yeah, a little bit.
- 15:23Speaker 2: You know what I think you.
- 15:27Speaker 5: I mean, what if that was the lore of the story.
- 15:30Speaker 5: We should just start telling people that we should.
- 15:33Speaker 6: We just did.
- 15:33Speaker 4: We're on radio right at Yeah, just told it toens
- 15:37Speaker 4: of people.
- 15:38Speaker 6: That's the clip for today.
- 15:40Speaker 5: But Ben Lisa also my favorite high school rock band.
- 15:47Speaker 6: So guys, we're motales.
- 15:52Speaker 4: Anyway. Overrated. Small painting not that cool, so much better
- 15:56Speaker 4: works of art in that museum.
- 15:57Speaker 6: What's your favorite work of art?
- 16:00Speaker 4: There are some cool statues, dude, there's an amazing statue.
- 16:03Speaker 5: Where's that David one they made? Like do you think
- 16:06Speaker 5: that guy was like a little bit upset? He just
- 16:09Speaker 5: I mean, like the rest of the sculpture is like, wow, men,
- 16:11Speaker 5: that guy's.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Is incredible, but the area you want to.
- 16:14Speaker 9: Be incredible, little leaf over it drastically below average.
- 16:18Speaker 4: There was some like there was like this period of
- 16:20Speaker 4: time where they were doing these statues and like these
- 16:23Speaker 4: sculptors were so incredible, Like you can see that they
- 16:25Speaker 4: have like these human beings have like veils over faces
- 16:28Speaker 4: and like cloth that was I don't know, it's pretty.
- 16:31Speaker 7: And then you look at the dr one and you're like,
- 16:33Speaker 7: what happened?
- 16:33Speaker 4: Yeah, what happened?
- 16:35Speaker 2: You've got they've gotten worse.
- 16:36Speaker 5: We're done because there's how many sculptors are there in
- 16:38Speaker 5: America or the world now, like six and.
- 16:40Speaker 4: They're not very good their children now they are. They
- 16:44Speaker 4: it's the easiest work to get. Like, if you were
- 16:46Speaker 4: looking for a good living, you just be a sculptor.
- 16:49Speaker 5: Like I mean, I feel like it's hard, you know'
- 16:50Speaker 5: see a lot of gargoyls. Gargoyles anymore.
- 16:53Speaker 4: Here's the deal, get some three D pre these people.
- 16:57Speaker 4: I disagree with that.
- 16:58Speaker 6: Actually, I don't know.
- 16:59Speaker 2: Right, that's it's gonna look better.
- 17:01Speaker 4: Yeah, it's gonna look so much better. I mean, Robit's
- 17:06Speaker 4: doing it so like it look exactly like them sharks
- 17:11Speaker 4: with laser beams on their end.
- 17:15Speaker 6: Proposal for a robots? Are you saying, robot wrong? Not
- 17:22Speaker 6: a great start?
- 17:24Speaker 4: All right, we're gonna go to break and uh we

- 20:57Speaker 4: people voting on who they think could put potentially maybe
- 21:01Speaker 4: possibly be the best team in the country. I don't
- 21:05Speaker 4: really know how anybody could actually know these things because
- 21:07Speaker 4: there's so many transfers and new quarterbacks and new coaches
- 21:11Speaker 4: and blah blah blah blah blah. But that's another top
- 21:14Speaker 4: twenty five, and that's something to react to. It's something
- 21:17Speaker 4: to talk about, something to think about. Where are the misses?
- 21:21Speaker 4: Where who do we think got it right? But the
- 21:23Speaker 4: a people comes out yesterday? What was the coaches? Paul
- 21:27Speaker 4: two weeks ago? I think you were here the day
- 21:29Speaker 4: that the coaches. Oh, I know, we do know Jake
- 21:34Speaker 4: woodn't here? Do we know?
- 21:35Speaker 7: That was it because of Brett bil Or?
- 21:36Speaker 5: No?
- 21:37Speaker 2: Why were we mad Texas A and M?
- 21:39Speaker 6: Why were we mad?
- 21:40Speaker 2: We only we only talked Texas A and M, Notre
- 21:42Speaker 2: Dame last time.
- 21:45Speaker 4: No.
- 21:45Speaker 6: I thought it was perfectly ranked.
- 21:47Speaker 5: I thought they should be higher because I think they're
- 21:48Speaker 5: going to entire Indiana being outside the top five to
- 21:51Speaker 5: winning a national title, not receiving a single first place vote?
- 21:54Speaker 6: What are we doing there?
- 21:56Speaker 2: They're not twenty one.
- 22:00Speaker 4: They just went and the coach sixteen?
- 22:02Speaker 6: And oh what was LSU ranked in twenty twenty going
- 22:05Speaker 6: into the year?
- 22:08Speaker 2: Five Maybe to start the year?
- 22:10Speaker 5: Maybe, Okay, I just I just feel like that's I
- 22:14Speaker 5: don't know, Maybe it's just like the college football like
- 22:17Speaker 5: nostalgia or purist. I don't know what the right word
- 22:20Speaker 5: is ever, really, but I mean, I don't know if
- 22:23Speaker 5: they should be outside the top five, like I mean, also,
- 22:26Speaker 5: the SEC didn't receive a single first place vote.
- 22:29Speaker 6: It's it's kind of odd to me.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Six. She was six going into the season twenty twenty eight.
- 22:35Speaker 5: People, Yeah, Michigan I think was eight in twenty twenty four,
- 22:39Speaker 5: which that was like it was also very obvious they
- 22:41Speaker 5: were going to be pretty bad because they lost so
- 22:43Speaker 5: much on the from like their their coaching staff and
- 22:45Speaker 5: then also from the production.
- 22:47Speaker 6: But I mean or said.
- 22:48Speaker 7: Obvious that Indiana should be top five.
- 22:51Speaker 6: Then I mean, I think they returned a lot of
- 22:53Speaker 6: really key players.
- 22:55Speaker 2: There a few. They did a great job in the portal.
- 22:58Speaker 9: They got Charlie becker Backer, brought in Nick marsh He's awesome,
- 23:02Speaker 9: but you lose Omar Cooper, Logester at Fernanda Mendoza, Kaylin
- 23:06Speaker 9: black rom and Himby. That's just on offense. The Angelo
- 23:09Speaker 9: Ponds Aidan Fisher on defense, like you bring a lot back,
- 23:12Speaker 9: but you lose a lot. Like I think it's fine,
- 23:14Speaker 9: you're not at twenty five, you're at six, like Hoover's great.
- 23:18Speaker 9: Cut down on the turnovers and you'll be really, really good.
- 23:21Speaker 9: I think that's maybe the biggest question mark for him
- 23:23Speaker 9: at TCU. He should flashes, but I don't. I don't
- 23:26Speaker 9: think that six is like disrespectful. There's still some question marks.
- 23:30Speaker 6: If find Texas behind.
- 23:31Speaker 4: If Indiana was if Ana was named Alabama, they would
- 23:37Speaker 4: be number one. They'd be number one coming off of six.
- 23:39Speaker 4: In and O season. Okay, so you, yes, you lose
- 23:42Speaker 4: your number one pick, you lose your quarterback, but you
- 23:45Speaker 4: bring in a guy that's got almost ten thousand yards
- 23:47Speaker 4: career passing in seventy one touchdowns. You know how many
- 23:49Speaker 4: yards for Nana Mendoza had when he came to Indiana. Oh,
- 23:52Speaker 4: not that many they had for he had forty seven
- 23:55Speaker 4: and thirty touchdowns. Forty seven yards passing in thirty touchdowns career.
- 23:59Speaker 4: And so this guy's double the stats that Fernando did before.
- 24:04Speaker 6: His ya same coordinators.
- 24:06Speaker 4: Same offense. Yeah, same defense coordinators, same offensive cornators, and
- 24:09Speaker 4: that whole coach's ass been together for like a billion
- 24:12Speaker 4: years and they don't ever they have no aspirations.
- 24:14Speaker 5: I think the argument I would make is last year
- 24:16Speaker 5: they started unranked in like in some of the polls,
- 24:18Speaker 5: and you're or like FPI they were in the top
- 24:20Speaker 5: twenty five.
- 24:20Speaker 6: I don't remember what they were in the preseason.
- 24:22Speaker 5: But it's like Kurt Signetti, I think has earned the
- 24:25Speaker 5: right to be like, listen, they're going.
- 24:26Speaker 7: To reloafit the doubt, right.
- 24:28Speaker 5: He took He took thirteen players in the portal from JMU,
- 24:31Speaker 5: put them on a team. They had eight blue chip
- 24:34Speaker 5: players on the roster. Last year they went sixteen and oh,
- 24:37Speaker 5: I mean they beat Ohio State, they beat Oregon, they
- 24:38Speaker 5: beat the breaks off of Alabama, Like they were a
- 24:41Speaker 5: really good team. The first year he was in they
- 24:42Speaker 5: went eleven in two week schedule. For sure, Yeah, but
- 24:44Speaker 5: they went eleven and two. So I think it's like
- 24:46Speaker 5: if you're if you go in and you're twenty seven
- 24:48Speaker 5: and two as a head coach to start your career
- 24:51Speaker 5: Larry Koger at Miami, Like, I mean, were they all
- 24:53Speaker 5: of a sudden falling off the face of the earth
- 24:55Speaker 5: after they lost to Ohio State.
- 24:56Speaker 6: Probably not.
- 24:57Speaker 5: I mean, so I think that for me that he's
- 24:59Speaker 5: earned it. I think the thing that's very surprising to me, but.
- 25:01Speaker 7: It's like Texas being above them is kind of crazy and.
- 25:04Speaker 5: I don't have as big of a problem with that one.
- 25:06Speaker 5: But the love that Oregon's getting, yeah.
- 25:07Speaker 4: I think the teams in their own conference ahead of
- 25:10Speaker 4: them is this.
- 25:11Speaker 9: We're getting Oregans weird because like, Okay, Oregon, Evan Stewart's back, good,
- 25:16Speaker 9: good receiver, solid college receiver, the Korean Moore.
- 25:19Speaker 2: We expect them to take a jump.
- 25:21Speaker 9: Outside of that, like you got good pieces on defense,
- 25:23Speaker 9: but your running games not as good as Texas. You're
- 25:26Speaker 9: ahead of them or Indiana obviously, and uh, I mean
- 25:30Speaker 9: there's there's just you got Dante, they.
- 25:33Speaker 4: Returned both coordinators or Indiana.
- 25:36Speaker 6: They lost both.
- 25:39Speaker 5: Will Stein to Kentucky and they lost the DC to
- 25:42Speaker 5: touch go ahead. I just I think that we're what's
- 25:46Speaker 5: Oregon proved ever in big moments, and I mean ever,
- 25:50Speaker 5: They've never won a national title. Ye, Dan Lanning is great.
- 25:53Speaker 5: Dane Lanning is like zero and three against Dubor Day.
- 25:55Speaker 5: Lanning is really bad. And big moments criticism way more criticis.
- 26:00Speaker 5: And so it's like, why why does Landing get a pass?
- 26:03Speaker 5: Because because they have a bunch of like they are
- 26:06Speaker 5: they are lib Texas, which is saying something because Austin's
- 26:09Speaker 5: pretty lib. They are just West Coast Texas. Because it's like, man,
- 26:12Speaker 5: I love the uniforms, man, come on, no. And then
- 26:14Speaker 5: they got that duck right on the motorcycle. That's pretty cool.
- 26:16Speaker 6: They got a great quarterback.
- 26:18Speaker 7: The duck's cool.
- 26:19Speaker 6: The duck is cool.
- 26:19Speaker 5: But they also, like you lost both Dylan La Dylan Rayola.
- 26:24Speaker 5: He's gonna be one of the best right tackles in
- 26:26Speaker 5: the country next year, and so I just it's odd
- 26:30Speaker 5: to me any coach that is like going through when
- 26:33Speaker 5: they when they first have like success, having to figure
- 26:36Speaker 5: out how to replace coordinators is always a pretty big
- 26:38Speaker 5: step and very few times you see it just happened
- 26:42Speaker 5: without like any sort of hiccup. And I don't We're
- 26:46Speaker 5: just trusting that Dan Lanning, who's twelve years old, is
- 26:49Speaker 5: gonna all of a sudden be like, no, you nail
- 26:50Speaker 5: the coordinator.
- 26:51Speaker 6: Higre's there, fine, I mean, yeah.
- 26:52Speaker 7: He is young.
- 26:53Speaker 8: So you think that Indiana should be there, not at two,
- 26:57Speaker 8: but instead of Oregon, they should be.
- 26:58Speaker 7: In the top five.
- 26:59Speaker 6: I got that.
- 27:00Speaker 7: Yeah, I can agree with that.
- 27:02Speaker 4: It should be tough five. I mean they having two
- 27:04Speaker 4: teams with it. It just shows you how in love
- 27:07Speaker 4: AP folks are and and and not coaches because the
- 27:11Speaker 4: coaches aren't the one to vote for the coach's poll.
- 27:13Speaker 4: But yeah, all in love you are with stars like
- 27:16Speaker 4: like a like a returning player or a hyped up
- 27:19Speaker 4: quarterback is more important than a hyped like a returning
- 27:22Speaker 4: coach like Signetti is has earned the right to be
- 27:25Speaker 4: the best coach in college football right now, right and
- 27:27Speaker 4: he's got the best staff in college football right now,
- 27:30Speaker 4: because it's they've been together for so long and they
- 27:33Speaker 4: they took the worst program in college football history ever
- 27:36Speaker 4: and made them sixteen to no two years after getting there,
- 27:39Speaker 4: and I still feel like they are sick so Taylor
- 27:43Speaker 4: people like. So it's not disrespectful completely. I just think
- 27:47Speaker 4: they're They did all this with zero five star players.
- 27:50Speaker 2: I put them over organ and Notre Dame easily.
- 27:53Speaker 4: That's what I'm saying, Like Notre Dame being ahead of
- 27:55Speaker 4: them is ridiculous because if you ask both both programs,
- 28:00Speaker 4: hey do I want to play each other, Indiana saying
- 28:02Speaker 4: hell yeah.
- 28:03Speaker 6: Hell Rondana just backed out of that game.
- 28:06Speaker 4: Nope, Indiana, Yeah, yeah, like two weeks ago. Wait when
- 28:12Speaker 4: did they back out of this game?
- 28:13Speaker 6: Two weeks ago?
- 28:15Speaker 4: A twenty thirty.
- 28:17Speaker 5: So this is the issue that I have with Kurt
- 28:18Speaker 5: Signetti so much because I think he's he is the
- 28:20Speaker 5: second best coach in college football behind Kirby Smart. But
- 28:23Speaker 5: the thing is, when Signetti came out last year and
- 28:25Speaker 5: did his whole thing in front of the microphone, I
- 28:27Speaker 5: got very triggered about the SEC comedy made.
- 28:29Speaker 6: It was like, yeah, we took an SEC route for
- 28:30Speaker 6: the scheduling.
- 28:30Speaker 7: Wait, you got triggered, Yeah.
- 28:32Speaker 6: Very much.
- 28:32Speaker 5: I wrote a bunch of articles about it, and I
- 28:34Speaker 5: was all on Twitter just going to war.
- 28:36Speaker 7: Oh that doesn't sound like you.
- 28:38Speaker 5: I'm pretty sure he did it the day I proposed
- 28:40Speaker 5: to Ali and I was like, like an hour before
- 28:42Speaker 5: had I'm like mother, Like, I was just Joe pesching
- 28:45Speaker 5: it from home alone, Like so I I when he
- 28:49Speaker 5: got to the podium and he was like, yeah, we
- 28:51Speaker 5: took the SEC route. That pissed me off because it's
- 28:52Speaker 5: like they didn't you You have Indiana for the next
- 28:56Speaker 5: five years. They got rid of Virginia from their schedule.
- 28:59Speaker 5: Last year they got Kinnesas State, or maybe it was
- 29:01Speaker 5: two years ago, but they got Kinnesall State, who is
- 29:03Speaker 5: brand new to FBS.
- 29:04Speaker 2: Foot probably Worset FBS Burger.
- 29:06Speaker 5: I mean like, so then he's they look at the
- 29:09Speaker 5: schedule and you talk about in comparing it to SEC
- 29:12Speaker 5: non cons. They have for the next five years. Indiana
- 29:15Speaker 5: does not play a single power for team. They don't
- 29:17Speaker 5: play a single game on the road in their non
- 29:18Speaker 5: conference schedule. And then they canceled the Notre Dame game.
- 29:21Speaker 8: So, but I agree with you, it's because schools like
- 29:25Speaker 8: Notre Dame get rewarded for having easy schedule.
- 29:29Speaker 2: And that's the thing. Right at the end of the year,
- 29:31Speaker 2: the voter is going to be like they're in the
- 29:34Speaker 2: top five.
- 29:35Speaker 9: It's like, yeah, their schedules super easy. But like preseason
- 29:38Speaker 9: polls are about on paper. That's why I don't like them.
- 29:40Speaker 9: Like preseason polls, what do you go by? Indiana is
- 29:42Speaker 9: a way more talented roster than Notre Dame in my opinion, to.
- 29:45Speaker 5: Be fair, and I hate to do this to Notre Dame.
- 29:48Speaker 5: Oh them, I mean no, just but a ton of
- 29:52Speaker 5: research schedule.
- 29:54Speaker 4: Okay, we're going to break. We're not do that on
- 29:57Speaker 4: this show, Dallas. You never We'll be back right here.
- 30:03Speaker 4: Off the bench.
- 30:04Speaker 7: Off the bench.
- 30:08Speaker 4: If you've been putting off updating that old bath tub
- 30:10Speaker 4: or shower because you think it's gonna take weeks, maybe
- 30:12Speaker 4: it's gonna tear your house part or cost a fortune,
- 30:14Speaker 4: I got great news. Bath Fitter is changing the way
- 30:17Speaker 4: Louisiana remodels bathrooms. Bath Fitter greates custom made tubs, showers,

- 31:22Speaker 1: Locked in on LSU Football twenty four to seven you're
- 31:26Speaker 1: listening to Off the Bench.
- 31:35Speaker 4: Juisy All right, welcome back here Off the Bench on
- 31:43Speaker 4: a Tuesday. Good vibes on a Tuesday. You know it's
- 31:45Speaker 4: our favorite day of the week. Y'all know that.
- 31:49Speaker 7: Did y'all do eighties last week? Last Tuesday when I
- 31:51Speaker 7: wasn't here?
- 31:51Speaker 4: Yeah? Probably not did one day? Oh yeah?
- 31:54Speaker 7: Did he did?
- 31:55Speaker 4: Eighties?
- 31:57Speaker 6: Not as good?
- 31:57Speaker 4: Not as good as you though no.
- 31:59Speaker 7: One could ever.
- 32:01Speaker 6: It was just all Michael Jackson. Really yeah, the same songs.
- 32:05Speaker 4: He played the same song over and over.
- 32:06Speaker 6: He did play Whitney Houston.
- 32:08Speaker 7: We Love Whitney RP. For real.
- 32:13Speaker 6: She's dead.
- 32:16Speaker 4: I mean while I've definitely put a live people in
- 32:19Speaker 4: the grave on the show.
- 32:21Speaker 7: Who was it that you like?
- 32:22Speaker 9: You said, yeah, yeah, that's definitely alive.
- 32:28Speaker 8: Well that we found out people have died that we
- 32:31Speaker 8: didn't know we're still alive, like David allen.
- 32:34Speaker 7: Coe, we thought he was already dead. And then Tommy
- 32:38Speaker 7: John that was recently. Yeah, he died this weekend.
- 32:41Speaker 8: But we were like, if you have a surgery named
- 32:44Speaker 8: after you, I feel like you're way older than you
- 32:46Speaker 8: actually are.
- 32:47Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, he was like thirty eight. I me and
- 32:49Speaker 5: Dan Lanning are the same age. Princess Diana was an
- 32:54Speaker 5: obvious one in the name.
- 32:55Speaker 7: She died.
- 32:56Speaker 6: Yeah, okay, princes died too soon. It was nineteen ninety.
- 33:02Speaker 4: Eight years ago to twenty eight years ago.
- 33:07Speaker 7: I'm twenty eight. I was born in ninety eight.
- 33:10Speaker 6: I'm gonna blow it smooth off.
- 33:12Speaker 5: We've got two Joe Peshi references already in the first
- 33:15Speaker 5: forty minutes of the show too.
- 33:16Speaker 4: Yeah, what was the first one I went for? Oh yeah,
- 33:19Speaker 4: this one a reference. We just said his name.
- 33:21Speaker 6: Yeah, well that's what references.
- 33:23Speaker 2: But I mean true like anything that anything that brings.
- 33:27Speaker 5: Up though, if anyone knows the English language, it's Chris Morriler,
- 33:30Speaker 5: just as reverence.
- 33:33Speaker 8: Around God, the old SEC whipper around oh sec whipper aroun.
- 33:40Speaker 4: All right, what's one thing we said when the coaches
- 33:43Speaker 4: poll came out and we said we would change, and
- 33:45Speaker 4: it was that we would flip Alabama and LSU.
- 33:48Speaker 6: That is what we said, is exactly that is what
- 33:50Speaker 6: we said.
- 33:51Speaker 4: Because in the coaches poll, Alabama's eleven, LSU was thirteen. Well,
- 33:55Speaker 4: and they flipped it right here. They must all the
- 33:58Speaker 4: associated press, they must be listen nerds to this show.
- 34:00Speaker 4: I would wouldn't shock me if all of them are.
- 34:03Speaker 4: They sweached it. LSU was number eleven and Alabama is
- 34:06Speaker 4: number thirteen. And I believe just because of all the changes,
- 34:09Speaker 4: I think that's a fair rank. Do I think LSU's underrated, Yes,
- 34:13Speaker 4: I do, but I think it's probably for a preseason poll.
- 34:17Speaker 4: I think it's probably good spot for them to land.
- 34:20Speaker 5: I guess, yeah, it's fair. I mean, there's a lot
- 34:22Speaker 5: of question marks. That's a lot of new pieces, fifty
- 34:24Speaker 5: nine new players between the portal and the recruiting class.
- 34:28Speaker 5: I Bama's still too high. I mean at thirteen there
- 34:32Speaker 5: still too high.
- 34:33Speaker 4: You're the worst Bama fan.
- 34:35Speaker 6: Why just objectively talk about the sport. It's what I
- 34:37Speaker 6: try to do.
- 34:39Speaker 5: But yeah, I mean I think that, Yeah, I'm not
- 34:43Speaker 5: talking as a fan jerk. I will on November seventh, though, Brother.
- 34:48Speaker 6: No, I think that I think that they are still
- 34:50Speaker 6: too high. I think the LG thing is about right.
- 34:52Speaker 6: I also feel like that maybe I'm wrong about this.
- 34:55Speaker 5: I just feel like that there's this weird feeling from
- 34:58Speaker 5: either coaches or vote especially that are like, we gotta
- 35:01Speaker 5: put Miss up. It's weird, Like I don't think there's
- 35:06Speaker 5: does almost have that load of a roster.
- 35:09Speaker 8: We talked about this too, like we know you were
- 35:13Speaker 8: I think you were here, Like we've been talking about
- 35:15Speaker 8: it for a couple of weeks.
- 35:16Speaker 7: Now where we're like, why is Ole miss?
- 35:20Speaker 6: I mean we know why in destruction.
- 35:22Speaker 7: Like Matt said, people want them to be that good.
- 35:25Speaker 7: It's not that they have And I get it.
- 35:27Speaker 8: Trinidad Chaandliss is coming back Kuwon Lacey's coming back, but
- 35:30Speaker 8: you also lose basically your entire staff, and I just
- 35:35Speaker 8: I don't get I mean, I get it whatever, but
- 35:39Speaker 8: I think it's unreasonable to have them that high and
- 35:44Speaker 8: have all the hype that they're getting.
- 35:46Speaker 7: Like on the SEC media pool, what were they like
- 35:48Speaker 7: three h.
- 35:51Speaker 5: They weren't that high, but they were up there, and
- 35:53Speaker 5: there's like plenty people that think they're going to I
- 35:54Speaker 5: think there.
- 35:54Speaker 8: Were three because we said we'd put Oklahoma where Ole
- 35:58Speaker 8: misses instead.
- 35:59Speaker 4: Of well so and the this a people they did
- 36:04Speaker 4: so not my media poll. Oklahoma's nine old miss was ten.
- 36:08Speaker 4: They flipped that here, so they put Ole miss ahead
- 36:11Speaker 4: of Oklahoma, which I feel like is a little bit irresponsible.
- 36:13Speaker 4: Now I do. Look, I'm being a being a quarterback,
- 36:17Speaker 4: Like I agree with the voters voting with quarterback. Yeah,
- 36:21Speaker 4: and you've seen it here, Like obviously Organs getting a
- 36:23Speaker 4: lot of votes because they're returning one of the top quarterback.
- 36:26Speaker 4: Texas has been getting votes because they think Arch is
- 36:28Speaker 4: the greatest quarterback to ever play. I said Arch, not Arc.
- 36:32Speaker 4: That's I mispronounced it. So I get it. Trinidad to
- 36:36Speaker 4: me is the best quarterback going into the season, and
- 36:40Speaker 4: it's at least what he earned, so that I'm okay
- 36:44Speaker 4: with them getting votes and being overrated on that aspect.
- 36:49Speaker 4: But do I think their teams.
- 36:50Speaker 6: And he's ranked ahead of all miss and lost way more.
- 36:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:55Speaker 9: Any different than what we were talking about with the
- 36:57Speaker 9: Oregon coordinators, gone your quarterbacks a back.
- 37:00Speaker 5: They had one hundred and seventy seven combined starts on
- 37:02Speaker 5: the offensive line last year. They lost four of them,
- 37:04Speaker 5: lost the first round picket receiver, they they lost their
- 37:08Speaker 5: offensive coordinator.
- 37:09Speaker 6: And oh, by the way, Marcel Reid is great. I
- 37:11Speaker 6: love your quote about.
- 37:13Speaker 5: If he plays like like against LSU every we keeps
- 37:15Speaker 5: I mean, it's good one the Heidsman, that's like your
- 37:16Speaker 5: quote exactly. But you said something close to that, and
- 37:20Speaker 5: you're like, I don't want to eat Yeah, in the
- 37:22Speaker 5: same year it would give him two Jayden Daans, eat
- 37:26Speaker 5: your heart out, and so they But he also had
- 37:29Speaker 5: twelve interceptions last year with that offensive line and those
- 37:32Speaker 5: two receivers.
- 37:34Speaker 6: And I just, you know, like I don't really get that.
- 37:37Speaker 5: Now there's one team that's it's got a lot of
- 37:40Speaker 5: metrics and numbers. Let's getting no love, a lot of
- 37:44Speaker 5: metrics and numbers. Of things that you were talking about
- 37:46Speaker 5: right now that you think are important. Upgrade coordinator return
- 37:52Speaker 5: at least one coordinator return a quarterback starting for three years.
- 37:57Speaker 6: How about this?
- 37:58Speaker 5: Also in the top eight nationally for projected draft picks
- 38:03Speaker 5: along with let me read this real quick to make
- 38:07Speaker 5: sure I don't see this up. I have lost the team.
- 38:09Speaker 5: I was trying so hard. So somebody posted this this
- 38:12Speaker 5: morning and it's it's from the from ESPN. ESPN put
- 38:16Speaker 5: out a bunch of tiers with NFL draft prospects for teams.
- 38:19Speaker 5: So it's like Tier one Texas, Oregon, Notre Dame, Miami.
- 38:23Speaker 5: Tier two has four teams, Tier three his three. Interestingly enough,
- 38:26Speaker 5: ALBUMA not in any of the tiers. Okay, LSU and
- 38:29Speaker 5: Tier three along with Indiana and Oklahoma, Tier two Ohio State, Georgia, Ole, Miss,
- 38:36Speaker 5: South Carolina. You look at the rankings, I'm doing it.
- 38:40Speaker 5: Tier one, this is where the teams are. Those four
- 38:42Speaker 5: teams are ranked in the preseason Bowl five, two, four,
- 38:45Speaker 5: and seven, Tier two one, three.
- 38:47Speaker 6: Nine not ranked.
- 38:50Speaker 5: Just interesting, brands really matter and to voters, whether you're
- 38:53Speaker 5: a coach or if you're a or if you're a
- 38:57Speaker 5: AP voter. What I just said was very good factual information. Matthew,
- 39:01Speaker 5: I don't know why you're so offended that.
- 39:04Speaker 9: They did a great job in the portal. Like I've
- 39:06Speaker 9: talked to you about Emmanuel Poku a number of times.
- 39:08Speaker 9: I think I think Poku's an underrated sign and you
- 39:10Speaker 9: got your carrious peak. Problem is like five potentially new
- 39:13Speaker 9: starters on the offensive line a lot better. How are
- 39:17Speaker 9: they going to mesh together? Like That's that's a little
- 39:19Speaker 9: bit for me. A lot of people think they're great
- 39:22Speaker 9: at receiver.
- 39:23Speaker 2: I don't. I think they're fine at receiver. I am
- 39:26Speaker 2: just I've waited great at receiver. I've waited for.
- 39:28Speaker 9: Four years for Nick Harbor to be an elite wide
- 39:31Speaker 9: receiver in college and he just hasn't done it.
- 39:33Speaker 2: He was good last year, but do you have six
- 39:35Speaker 2: six hundred yards? So I'm like that. I mean, he
- 39:36Speaker 2: was good, six six hundred and eighteen yards, six touchdowns.
- 39:39Speaker 2: He was good. It just that offense worries me.
- 39:43Speaker 4: I also think that, well, I don't care about South Carolina,
- 39:47Speaker 4: but I think that Miami might not be getting to
- 39:49Speaker 4: love that they should very talented roster. I think here
- 39:53Speaker 4: very talented, and I look at just the quarterback position yeah,
- 39:56Speaker 4: coming in they might. So what have they done the
- 40:00Speaker 4: last couple years under that system in Miami. Oh, they
- 40:03Speaker 4: produced cam Ward who was the number one overall pick.
- 40:05Speaker 4: Oh they produced Carson bec who could be a third
- 40:08Speaker 4: round starter for the Arizona Cardinals this year. At some
- 40:10Speaker 4: point during the season. Well, you could say that Darian
- 40:13Speaker 4: Mensa has a better resume going to Miami than both
- 40:16Speaker 4: of those guys did.
- 40:16Speaker 5: He's also projected in the latest like I think Bleach
- 40:19Speaker 5: Report put out their mock draft yesterday and he's number one.
- 40:22Speaker 4: Yeah, and they got to the National Championship Game last year.
- 40:25Speaker 4: So for them in both poles to be at seven,
- 40:28Speaker 4: Indiana at six, like I think, I feel like the
- 40:30Speaker 4: voters are just like, well, we got to throw them
- 40:32Speaker 4: in there. We got to put him in there from respect,
- 40:34Speaker 4: but we're not gonna put him too high. Even though
- 40:36Speaker 4: that both of these teams have have quarterback. Indiana and
- 40:39Speaker 4: Miami both have quarterbacks going to their program that have,
- 40:44Speaker 4: you know, arguably better resumes than Bernanda Mendoza did when
- 40:48Speaker 4: he got to Indiana and cam Ward and Carson Bec
- 40:51Speaker 4: when they got to Miami.
- 40:52Speaker 5: And they think about Darien Mensa, that about him going
- 40:55Speaker 5: to Miami versus going to a place like Indiana or
- 40:59Speaker 5: place in the SEC. He doesn't have to play Oklahoma
- 41:03Speaker 5: or Georgia or Texas or Ohio State or Oregon. He
- 41:06Speaker 5: gets to go play in the ACC. This is what
- 41:08Speaker 5: I kept saying about Carson back last year. Was Carson
- 41:10Speaker 5: Beck at Georgia in twenty twenty four, he played nine
- 41:14Speaker 5: defenses that were ranked in the top forty nationally or
- 41:17Speaker 5: maybe top fifty nationally in pass defense. When cam Ward
- 41:22Speaker 5: was at Miami that same year, they played two and.
- 41:24Speaker 6: So you knew the numbers were going to go up.
- 41:26Speaker 5: Darry Mins has already had an incredible success in this
- 41:28Speaker 5: same conference, and it's not like and now he's not
- 41:31Speaker 5: surrounded by players at Duke. He's gonna be surrounded by players.
- 41:34Speaker 5: I didn't realize Miami had a forty million dollars roster either.
- 41:36Speaker 5: That came out yesterday from two four seven. I think
- 41:39Speaker 5: you're right. I think Miami is going to coast. I
- 41:42Speaker 5: don't know what they will look like. I don't love
- 41:45Speaker 5: not being challenged getting into the postseason, but they are.
- 41:49Speaker 6: You're right, They're going to be very Mark Fledger is one.
- 41:51Speaker 2: Of those underrated running backs in the country.
- 41:54Speaker 4: Yeah, it's certainly interesting talking points right now in this
- 41:56Speaker 4: preseason poll, under ranked, over ranked, but it is it
- 41:59Speaker 4: does say that, you know, just like what you said
- 42:02Speaker 4: with the coach is paulled, that the Big ten a
- 42:04Speaker 4: little bit more top heavy, SEC has a little bit
- 42:07Speaker 4: more depth. SEC's got nine teams in the top twenty five,
- 42:10Speaker 4: five in the top ten, and seven in the top thirteen.
- 42:12Speaker 4: And you think Carolina should be number one, so that
- 42:15Speaker 4: should yeah, in the top twenty five. So uh, there
- 42:18Speaker 4: it is. Or we're going to close out the hour
- 42:21Speaker 4: right here, I'll Benjamin came.
- 42:23Speaker 1: Back after bench.
- 42:25Speaker 4: All right, canniball season, Cannaba, cannaball. Yeah, what's your favorite
- 42:31Speaker 4: dieve on a davenboard?
- 42:32Speaker 6: Ooh, I can't do a flip, so not that one.
- 42:35Speaker 4: Okay, well that didn't app Okay, go to go to
- 42:38Speaker 4: russ Pool. They're the best pool company, the best custom
- 42:41Speaker 4: pool company in all of the least. I what a
- 42:42Speaker 4: terrible answer. Chars and minnows definitely not going to answer
- 42:45Speaker 4: it with this answer. Yeah. Yeah, anything you want to
- 42:49Speaker 4: do anything, if you dream it, they can build it.
- 42:51Speaker 4: And not only are they going to build it, they
- 42:53Speaker 4: are going to design it. They are going to engineer it,
- 42:55Speaker 4: they're gonna build it, they're gonna maintain it, because they
- 42:57Speaker 4: literally do everything. And if you bought up maybe a
- 43:00Speaker 4: house recently and it has a has an old pool,
- 43:02Speaker 4: it already had a pool in there, but it's a
- 43:03Speaker 4: little bit outdated, or it's not working like you wanted to,
- 43:06Speaker 4: or you want to convert it to a saltwater pool.
- 43:08Speaker 4: Whatever it is, they can do it. Not any company
- 43:10Speaker 4: can just do a renovation the right way. They can
- 43:12Speaker 4: renovate pools. They are the experts of that. And they
- 43:15Speaker 4: could turn it. They could change the shape, they could
- 43:17Speaker 4: change the design. They can do it. They can make it,
- 43:19Speaker 4: just like news. So go check them out. Two landscape
- 43:21Speaker 4: architects on staff to take you all the way. They're
- 43:24Speaker 4: go to Rustlepools dot Com.
- 43:30Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Max Flin, presented
- 43:33Speaker 1: by Community Steel.
- 43:43Speaker 4: All right, welcome back and closing out the hour here
- 43:45Speaker 4: and Off the Bench Tuesday show brought to you back
- 43:48Speaker 4: Community Steel. Tayler, I was telling you this when I
- 43:51Speaker 4: got here today. I was reading through Louisiana Sports dot
- 43:55Speaker 4: Net and everybody, all the writers do a great job.
- 43:59Speaker 6: You can read it.
- 44:00Speaker 4: Hunt Palmer, you do a fantastic job, and most of
- 44:02Speaker 4: the times it's very smart, well true. I read the
- 44:06Speaker 4: first dumb thing I've read from Hunt.
- 44:07Speaker 6: Oh yeah, you all were giving him a hard time
- 44:09Speaker 6: for this Friday.
- 44:11Speaker 4: That was Spears the Shawn Spears adapting to the Star
- 44:16Speaker 4: role as a first time start.
- 44:17Speaker 6: I don't like this.
- 44:18Speaker 4: That's an idiotic comment. Star is not a real position.
- 44:22Speaker 4: I was reading through this article to Shawn Spears is
- 44:24Speaker 4: shining in his new role at the Star position. He
- 44:31Speaker 4: said it's a change. So he was like saying, it's
- 44:33Speaker 4: a change of pace from his like his safety dime
- 44:36Speaker 4: roll and now he quotes said, I'm embracing it pretty well.
- 44:39Speaker 4: Definitely had to put like five pounds of weight because
- 44:42Speaker 4: I'm in the box and tackling people. I was like, oh,
- 44:46Speaker 4: so you're a linebacker now. So I just don't understand
- 44:50Speaker 4: this whole correlation of the Star position. So Hunt, you know, well, let's.
- 44:54Speaker 5: Tell you what we're not gonna do is trash our
- 44:56Speaker 5: good friend Hunt Palmer on air does a great job.
- 44:59Speaker 6: That is it's listed now.
- 45:01Speaker 5: I will tell you I don't love I don't love
- 45:02Speaker 5: that it's called Star, but it's better than any of
- 45:04Speaker 5: those other defensive names.
- 45:05Speaker 6: We talked about last week the wolf.
- 45:08Speaker 4: Are you saying it's like being the skinniest kid at
- 45:11Speaker 4: fan camps? The best thing that was my dream.
- 45:13Speaker 5: I always wanted to go to heavyweights. Not now, but
- 45:17Speaker 5: like back when I was skinny.
- 45:19Speaker 4: He's not playing the dime or the safety role. Now
- 45:21Speaker 4: he's playing in the box in dime. It's a it's
- 45:25Speaker 4: a defensive back. Huh huh.
- 45:28Speaker 6: I don't know, dude to say nickel anymore. Daniels thing,
- 45:33Speaker 6: Oh god.
- 45:35Speaker 4: You're all over the place. You are. You need medicine.
- 45:38Speaker 6: It's a great article.
- 45:40Speaker 4: Our positions not real you and we're going to see
- 45:43Speaker 4: you on hour at number two.
- 45:45Speaker 1: Be off the bench, all right, Pala.
