- 5:01be taking a look at a couple generals and colonels who might have some kind
- 5:08of bearing on the events that happened in November twenty, nineteen sixty three.
- 5:17And I promise you this is going somewhere, So don't just die off on
- 5:25me. Fifteen minutes in. I'm telling you it's going somewhere. You're gonna
- 5:28want to pay attention to the end. So the first person we're going to
- 5:35talk about here today, the first general is Charles Willoughby. Willoughby, Now
- 5:44some of you have heard his name attached to some of these extreme right wing
- 5:47factions in the United States. But just to set the stage, I'm gonna
- 5:53explain to you a little bit about who these people were and kind of explain
- 5:59how they're quote involved or possibly involved in the Kennedy assassination. We're going to
- 6:06start with Charles Willoughby. Okay. His real name is actually adolph Is Shepp
- 6:15Wiedenbach Okay, the son of Baron von Shepp Wiedenbach from Baden, Germany and
- 6:23Emma Willoughby, and he was born in eighteen ninety two. After attending the
- 6:30University of Heidelberg, Willoughby moved to the United States in nineteen ten and became
- 6:33known as Charles Willoughby. Willoughby joined the Army and served with Company K,
- 6:40fifth u S Infantry and eventually reached the rank of sergeant. He was commissioned
- 6:46a major in nineteen fourteen in the Officers of Volunteer Corps. During the First
- 6:50World War, Willoughby served on the Western Front. In October of nineteen nineteen,
- 6:57Captain Willoughby was reassigned to the twenty fourth Infantry, serving in Columbus,
- 7:02New Mexico. His next assignment took him overseas to San Juan, Puerto Rico,
- 7:09where again he served as both company and battalion commander in the sixty fifth
- 7:14Infantry from February twenty from February twenty one. The May of twenty three,
- 7:20he now joined the Military Intelligence Division and served as military attache in Venezuela,
- 7:28Columbia, and Ecuador. In August twenty nine, Willoughby started a course at
- 7:34the Command and General Staff School at Fort Leavenworth, Texas. After graduating two
- 7:41years later, he stayed on at the school as an instructor, teaching the
- 7:45subjects of intelligence and military history. He also edited the Command and General Staff
- 7:50School quarterly. In nineteen thirty six, he was appointed as an instructor in
- 7:56the Infantry School at Fort Benning. Later he was promoted to the bank of
- 8:00lieutenant colonel. He developed extreme right wing views and once delivered a speech to
- 8:05Spanish dictator General Lissimo Francisco Franco at a lunch in Madrid. He also praised
- 8:13Lenito Mussolini historical judgment. Freed from the emotional haze of the moment, will
- 8:20credit Mussolini with wiping out a memory of defeat by re establishing the traditional military
- 8:26supremacy of the white race. Oh Willoughby became logistics officer in the headquarters of
- 8:35the Philippine Department in Manila, where he served under General Douglas MacArthur. Maybe
- 8:41you've heard of that guy promoted to the rank of major general. Here we
- 8:46go, Okay, he was a major general. Willoughby served as General MacArthur's
- 8:52chief of Intelligence in the General Headquarters Southwest Pacific Area from nineteen forty one to
- 8:58nineteen fifty one. The Japanese Air Force attacked the US Pacific Fleet at Pearl
- 9:03Harbor on December the seventh, nineteen forty one. The following day, they
- 9:09carried out air strikes in the Philippines and destroyed half of MacArthur's air force.
- 9:13MacArthur was much criticized for this, as he had been told to move his
- 9:18air force after the raid on Hawaii the previous day. The Japanese Army also
- 9:24invaded the Philippines, and they soon held three eight bases in northern Luzon,
- 9:30and on twenty second of December, the fourteenth Army landed at Lingian Golf and
- 9:35quickly gained control of Manila from the inexperienced Filipino troops. Although only fifty seven
- 9:43thousand Japanese officers were landed on Luzon, it had little difficulty capturing the island.
- 9:48General Douglas Arthur now ordered a general retreat to the Batan Peninsula. A
- 9:56series of assaults forced the US defensive lines back, and on twenty second worried
- 10:00in nineteen forty two, MacArthur was ordered to leave Baton and go to Australia.
- 10:05General Jonathan Wainwright remained behind with eleven thousand soldiers and managed to hold out
- 10:09until the beginning of May. In December of nineteen forty two, Willoughby was
- 10:16with General Robert Mackelberger in the capture of Buona Village in the Buonagona Campaign.
- 10:22He was awarded the Army's second highest declaration for gallantry, the Distinguished Service Crossed
- 10:28for Extraordinary Heroism in action. Willoughby accompanied Douglas MacArthur to Tokyo for the occupation
- 10:37of Japan. When attempts to suppress news to the United States ended in failure,
- 10:43he labeled reporters who defied him as communist. A Cold War warrior,
- 10:48he was a strong supporter of the activitivities of Joseph McCarthy. He also lobbied
- 10:54the Congress to authorize one hundred million dollars for General Franco's government in Spain.
- 11:00Arthur once described the six foot three inch Willoughby as quote, my little fascist.
- 11:07How cute. In nineteen fifty one, Let's see, Willoughby went before
- 11:11the House of un American Activities and provided info about the Richard swords By a
- 11:18network. This included info that claimed that Agnes Smedley was a Communist subversive.
- 11:26In retirement, Willoughby was a member of the International Committee for the Defense of
- 11:30Christian Culture. During the nineteen fifties, he worked closely with Billy James hargesst.
- 11:37Hl Hunt, John Russelot, and other extreme right wing figures. Willoughby
- 11:45was also a board member of Young Americans for Freedom, an organization created by
- 11:50Larry Schmidt. Two days after the assassination of John F. Kennedy, a
- 11:58long distance telephone operator in Mexico City monitored an international phone call. She heard
- 12:03one of the voices saying, quote, the Castro plan is being carried out.
- 12:09Bobby is next unquote. The telephone numbers were traced. One number belonged
- 12:15to Emilio Nunie's Port Nado port Chuando, the Latin American affairs editor of Willoughby's
- 12:24Foreign Intelligence Digest. In nineteen sixty eight, Willoughby moved with his wife too
- 12:31beautiful Naples, Florida, and Charles Willoughby died on October the twenty fifth,
- 12:37nineteen seventy two. It's from the book The Man Who Knew Too Much by
- 12:46Dick Russell, a White House memorand and prepared for jeffk in mid August sixty
- 12:52three estimated the Radical rights spend as much as twenty five million dollars annually,
- 12:56supported by seventy foundations, one hundred and three rags and twenty five utility companies,
- 13:03and two hundred and fifty rich identifiable individuals. And the thick of it
- 13:09all and much more was General Charles Willoughby. While his mentor mentor, General
- 13:13MacArthur, passed into quiet retirement and was occasionally sought by Kennedy for advice,
- 13:20Willoughby approached his seventieth birthday with samurai swords placed strategically next to his desk.
- 13:26Willoughby's Holy War against the Red Menace found him sitting on the boards of most
- 13:31of the major conservative groups and reaching into Europe and Latin America to start his
- 13:35own International Committee for the Defense of Christian Culture. Willoughby's publisher and friend,
- 13:43Billy James Hargests, was a short, portly double chinned fellow in his mid
- 13:48thirties, who gained much of his financial support from h Hunt and other wealthy
- 13:52oilmen, along with Willoughby, who was his Washington eyes and ears. Another
- 13:56of Hargert's advisory committee members was retired Lieutenant Lieutenant General Pedro Davalier, US Marine
- 14:05commander in the Pacific Theater during World War Two. After the Korean War,
- 14:09Davalier had become president of ITT's Latin American operations. In September of sixty one,
- 14:16Billy James Hargus announced that a secret fraternity to coordinate right wing activities would
- 14:22soon be formed, and on March twenty one, sixty two, a carefully
- 14:26selected group was called together in Washington. No press were allowed at the founding
- 14:31session of the Anti Communist Liaison, which brought together one hundred delegates representing some
- 14:37seventy five right wing groups at the Washington Hotel. Named as its chairman and
- 14:43operating head was Edward Hunter, a national advisory board member of the Young Americans
- 14:48for Freedom. The new group's insider was US Representative John Rousselot, a John
- 14:52Birch Society's spokesman and Christian Crusade board member from Los Angeles had also had a
- 14:58Southern California outsider, a Colonel William Potter Gail, another ex MacArthur Mann.
- 15:05In nineteen sixty two, a California state chairman of the Constitution Party, Colonel
- 15:11Gail announced his candidacy for the governorship on a platform calling for the abolition of
- 15:15all income taxes. Hey, I'm for that. He also organized, soon
- 15:20after a pivotal springtime meeting in Washington, a paramilitary outfit. So there's a
- 15:28little bit. Well, this part is kind of fascinating to me as well.
- 15:41I don't know if you guys ever watched History Channel show. I think
- 15:48it was called Yakashi Yamasheeda's Gold, where these guys were looking for all this
- 15:54gold that had been plundered and looted. I'm all over the scific by General
- 16:00Yamashida during a War two and hidden all over the place, supposed to be
- 16:04a treasure of untold millions maybe billions of gold and other valuables. But just
- 16:17to kind of tip a hat towards that from the Gold Warriors by the Seagraves,
- 16:26Sterling and Peggy. In Europe, the USS at times worked closely with
- 16:33other intelligence services but competition and rival rivalry were intense. One of the fiercest
- 16:41turf battles over the tracking of Nazi loot went on inside the US government ways
- 16:47between the Secretary of the Treasury Henry Morgenthal and Alan Dullas, the OSS chief
- 16:52in Switzerland. Switzerland, they've romantic who had a much more cavalier attitude about
- 16:57such things. Access loot was being moved under the noses of allies into neutral
- 17:03safe havens, and one instance, American agents in Switzerland watched two hundred and
- 17:07eighty trucks of Nazi gold moved from Germany across France and Spain to the safe
- 17:11haven of Neutral Portugal owned by the native or private Swiss firms. The trucks
- 17:18were painted with the Swiss Cross, allowing the gold to be moved under neutral
- 17:22cover. However, while the gathering of intelligence on war loot may have been
- 17:32disjointed, ultimately all such reports were passed up to the office of the Secretary
- 17:37of War Henry Stimpson. He had a special interest in the subject of looted
- 17:42bullion and kept a group of financial experts thinking hard about it. Three of
- 17:47these men were Stimpson and special assistants John J. McCloy maybe you heard of
- 17:49him, Robert Lovett and consulting Robert Anderson. Unlike Europe, where the OSS
- 18:02was tolerated by General Dwight Eisenhower and the Southern Pacific, General MacArthur resisted all
- 18:07attempts by the OSS to get a foothold in his territory. MacArthur and staff
- 18:12intended to conduct their own brand of special ops from their headquarters in Australia without
- 18:18any interference. In Australia, Willoughby set up the Allied Intelligence Bureau to run
- 18:33guerrilla operations in the Philippines. He also started the Allied Translator and Interpreter Section
- 18:42otherwise known as the AETIS, to monitor Japanese radio broadcast and interrogate prisoners and
- 18:48translate captured jack beneath the documents. Most men in Adis were brought were Nisi,
- 19:00second generation Japanese born in foreign countries, in this case born in America
- 19:03of Japanese parents. However, Willoughby's approach to guerrilla warfare proved to be too
- 19:08cautious for MacArthur, who craved audacity. Leaving Willoughby in charge of intelligence gathering,
- 19:15MacArthur gave special operations to his intimate friend and personal attorney, Courtney Whitney.
- 19:22Willoughby was furious, but MacArthur suzed him by promoting him to general.
- 19:27In this way, MacArthur's intimate crony, Courtney Whitney, became the key man
- 19:33running secret agents in the Islands and reporting of the war loot, including those
- 19:37from John Ballinger. The OSS had no part whatsoever in this. Whitney was
- 19:42effective in special OSTs because he was well connected in Manila, a clever rich
- 19:48man on the first name basis with all the political politically powerful families in the
- 19:52Philippines. In the late twenties, when he had been fresh at a law
- 19:56school in DC, MacArthur got Whitney a job with top Manila law firm of
- 20:00DeWitt, Perkins and Annie, who handled MacArthur's financial affairs in the Islands and
- 20:06by Pearl Harbor. Whitney was intimately involved in all manner of political, legal
- 20:11and financial intrigues has played in the Islands. He could call in favors for
- 20:17men like Santa Romani. Now there's a little picture of Karl's Willoughby, the
- 20:26extreme right wing major general in the US Army, served under General MacArthur.
- 20:40And now we move on to one of his proteges, one of Willoughby's protegees.
- 20:47Now, before we do, just keep in mind that folks like Willoughby
- 20:52and folks like General Walker, we're avorting with people like Billy James Hargis and
- 20:56hl Hunt frequently. This is big money behind a big agenda, and that
- 21:06is anti communism, extreme right wing ideology. Okay, donal, Let's move
- 21:15on to one of Willoughby's proteges, man by the name of Colonel Bishop.
- 21:22Colonel William Bishop, like I said, just stick with me. I promise
- 21:26this is going somewhere. Okay, interesting history, but I'm laying the foundation
- 21:32so you have the entire picture in your brain of who these people were in
- 21:37history. Okay. Now, Colonel William C. Bishop was born in nineteen
- 21:48twenty three, and during the Second World War he joined the United States Army.
- 21:53He served under General Douglas MacArthur as military intelligence aide on the General Staff
- 22:00Intelligence. His immediate supervisor was General Charles Willoughby. Okay, this guy is
- 22:07directly protege of Charles Willoughby. Bishop also worked with Willoughby during the Korean War.
- 22:15Bishop also worked with the Central Intelligence Agency and became involved in its black
- 22:22operations. This involved a policy that was later to become known as Executive Ashing,
- 22:27plan to remove unfriendly foreign leaders from power. Maybe maybe you've heard of
- 22:33it. In nineteen sixty one, he was responsible for the assassination of Raphael
- 22:38Truhilo, the leader of the Dominican Republic. Bishop was also involved in Operation
- 22:45forty, a CIA hit squad set up before the Bay of Pigs invasion.
- 22:51Frank Sturgis, another member of Operation forty, later explained quote, this assassination
- 22:56group would, upon orders naturally assassinate either members of the military or the political
- 23:03parties of the foreign country that you were going to infiltrate, and if necessary,
- 23:07some of your own members who were suspected of being foreign agents. We
- 23:11were concentrating strictly in Cuba at that particular time. Actually they were operating out
- 23:18of Mexico too. During this period, Bishop worked under Desmond Fitzgerald of the
- 23:25CIA, and was involved with anti Castro groups in Miami, such as Alpha
- 23:29sixty six. He was the case officer for Antonio Vestiana and claims that Santa
- 23:33Trafficante helped to fund his organization. Bishop also had a close relationship with David
- 23:41Atlee Phillips and Roland Mass For okay, these are all names and organizations you've
- 23:49heard of before. I told you we were getting closer. In December of
- 23:53nineteen sixty two, Doug belie Vido Santiago had a meeting with a lay or
- 24:00connected to a citizens committee to free Cuba. He told Vado about a conversation
- 24:04he had had with the Henry Cabot Lodge, who had been told by Walt
- 24:10Rosto the John F. Kennedy was exploring quote a plan to open a dialogue
- 24:15with Cuba. Vado was furious about what he considered to be an act of
- 24:19betrayal and immediately told leaders of the Anticaster community and his CIA contact, Colonel
- 24:26William Bishop. According to dick Russell, Vadoo was also an information conduit for
- 24:32General Edwin Walker. Dick Russell later interviewed William Bishop, who confirmed that he
- 24:40was aware of the plot to kill jfk. He claimed the plot included such
- 24:45people as Tony Verona and Roland Mass firm. By nineteen sixty three, the
- 24:51Cuban element see Kennedy had gone to Miami to the Orange Bowl down there and
- 24:56made this statement that the Brigades flag would fly over Cuba and all this crap
- 25:02that was a stop gap. The exiles for a time believed him, and
- 25:06shortly after that a presidential executive order came out that no military style in persians
- 25:11into Cuba based from the United States would be tolerated. The end result was
- 25:18a complete distrust and dislike for Kennedy and his administration by the Cuban exiles.
- 25:23You take Tony Verona and Rolando mass For to name him but two, and
- 25:26there were many many more. When serious talks began to happen about the possibility
- 25:32of assassinating Kennedy. In another interview he gave to Dick Russell in nineteen ninety,
- 25:38Colonel Bishop claimed that Jimmy Hoffa gave Roland mass for fifty thousand dollars to
- 25:44arrange the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Bishop disapproved of this act.
- 25:49I firmly believe in our system of government. If you don't like demand,
- 25:53then vote him out of office, don't shoot him out. And what we
- 25:57had was a coup. Data in November twenty sec nineteen sixty three, And
- 26:03that's according to Colonel William Bishop. Furthermore, Interviewed by Dick Russell in nineteen
- 26:15ninety Bishop says, I did look into Oswald's background. I'd never met him,
- 26:21but I had seen him in a training film in New Orleans the past
- 26:26summer. He just happened to be in the group out there at the Ponta
- 26:30train camp trying to get in with the anti Castro exiles. I thought even
- 26:34then that Oswald was a decoy. There's no way in hell he could have
- 26:40fire three shots in that space of time with that accuracy, with that weapon.
- 26:45Of course, when Oswald was killed, the Warren Commission's investigation was a
- 26:48joke. The whole bit military intelligence CIA FBI where the mistake was made.
- 26:55The intelligence reports coming in from various men in the field were not assimilated and
- 27:00categorized and broken down to get some logical conclusion. The Warren Commission went into
- 27:06this thing with a preconceived idea overly simplified. In Oswalt's case, they tried
- 27:11to make a round peck and drive that son of a bitch into a square
- 27:15hole, and they did it. Inter Viewed again by Dick Russell, this
- 27:23time from nineteen ninety two, what were you doing in New Orleans? That
- 27:33summer, I asked. Bishop paused and took a deep breath, pushing his
- 27:38glasses back above his nose. He turned to give a hard look at Gary
- 27:42Shaw. How far can I really trust him? Bishop to ask, casting
- 27:48a finger in my direction. Paul said, tell him anything you'd tell me.
- 27:55Bishop nodded and continued. I was to obtain additional funding, say this
- 28:00no more from the crimestend to get out of New Orleans for Alpha sixty six.
- 28:03At that point in time, Rolando mask For was the key bag man,
- 28:07for lack of a better term, for Alpha sixty six. Primarily the
- 28:11funding came through the syndicate because of mass For's connection with those people back in
- 28:15Cuba. He had ties to Santo Traffic, Conte Junior and other criminal elements
- 28:22organized crime pure and simple. He also had different ties with Jimmy Hoffa as
- 28:26far back as sixty two, I think, but Rolando, from time to
- 28:30time when it came to large sums of money, had sticky fingers. I
- 28:33think that's why he was killed eventually, Either that or because of the Kennedy
- 28:37assassination, because he knew about it. Colonel stopped talking again and sat in
- 28:44silence for a time. Then resumed in low tones. By nineteen sixty three,
- 28:48the Cuban Elephancy Kennedy had gone to Miami and oh we already, we
- 28:56already used this quote. Yeah, talking about the and pissing off the Cuban
- 29:00exiles. But to move on. According to Fabian Ascalante, okay, this
- 29:07comes from the Cuban officials in JFK Historian's conference in December of nineteen ninety five.
- 29:15He for like Philippe Vidal, Santiago was arrested in March of nineteen sixty
- 29:19four when he tried to ram his boat in Cuba with three others to perform
- 29:25acts of sabotage there. He had many conversations with us. He just told
- 29:30us this of his own accord. We didn't really ask questions. Our answers
- 29:34really were in the plan of sabotage, sabotage, sabotage, when and where.
- 29:41We wanted to know what was behind the sabotage. And then he started
- 29:44to talk about his subject. So then that's why a decision was made to
- 29:48take down everything he said, and that's why we have tapes. He talked
- 29:52about things not associated with the sabotage. There were too many people we didn't
- 29:59have the resources or tapes to take it. It was in his first declaration
- 30:04a bunch of political information. He came to us for the first time to
- 30:08talk to us about September of sixty two opening a communication with Cuba, and
- 30:15that was very important to take all of his conversations about Cuba. He was
- 30:18informing the groups of exiles in the United States about Kennedy administration's attempts to have
- 30:23a dialogue with Cuba, and while interrogating Santiago in Cuba, we came up
- 30:29with some more interesting information. He was arrested in March of nineteen sixty four,
- 30:33a few months after the assassination. He explained that he had a relationship
- 30:37with the CIA official who was military intelligence, a William Bishop. He says
- 30:44in a November of sixty three, Colonel William Bishop invited him to a meeting
- 30:47in Dallas, who was a meeting with a few wealthy people in Dallas talking
- 30:52about financing an anti Castro invasion into Cuba. The first few days was November
- 31:03sixty three. He says that Colonel William Bishop picked him up in his car
- 31:06in Miami and they drove to Dallas, and that they were there for about
- 31:10four days. This would have had to happen the weekend before the assassination.
- 31:14According to what he says, they stayed in a second class hotel. Bishop
- 31:19left several times to have interviews, but this guy did not know who he
- 31:23was talking to. After approximately four days, they returned to Miami. After
- 31:30the assassination. They were in Tallahassee when he went to visit a new house
- 31:36for a new car. I'm guessing them they bought. He bought a new
- 31:40house in a new car. This is from High Times Magazine, August nineteen
- 31:49ninety six, in an article by Dick Russell. Ex militant Phelipe Videlle Santiago
- 31:59arrested on a sixty four sabotage mission and that Cuba told his captors that in
- 32:04Washington, DC in December sixty two, had met with lobbyists connected to a
- 32:07citizens committee to free Cuba. This lawyer informed Vidella Santiago of a conversation he'd
- 32:13had with Republican Henry Cabot Lodge, soon to be US Ambassadors South Vietnam,
- 32:20who said he'd heard from Kennedy aide Walt Rosto of a plan to open dialog
- 32:23with Cuba Udall told us he was very surprised. In fact, Vidal,
- 32:30infuriated in betrayed betrayde, had alerted his exile cohorts as well as his CIA
- 32:37contact, Colonel William Bishop. It was almost like a bomb, an intentional
- 32:42message against Kennedy. Vidoo was also an information condo witch for General Edwin Walker,
- 32:47the ultra Wright Texan paramilitary leader at whom Oswald had allegedly taken a shot
- 32:53in April of sixty three, and FBI files called Vidal a very close friend
- 33:00of Miami monster and CIA affiliated John Martino, who intimidated the family and associates
- 33:06that he had four knowledge of the JFK assassination. Philippe VI Dallas Santiago told
- 33:13Cuban intelligence that on the weekend before the assassination he was invited to a meeting
- 33:16in Dallas by CIA's Colonel William Bishop. It was supposed to be a meeting
- 33:21with a few other people to talk about financing anti Castro operations because Escalante,
- 33:25but Bishop left on his own for quote interviews or meetings numerous times during the
- 33:31stay in Dallas. After approximately four days, they returned to Miami. Not
- 33:37long before his death, in nineteen ninety three, Colonel Bishop confirmed to this
- 33:42writer that he'd had knowledge of the JFK plot. The Cubans indicate that the
- 33:45Veidao Bishop Dallas trip concerned plans for retaking the island once Castro's people have been
- 33:52implicated in the assassination. Escolante surmises that Oswald was an intelligence agent of the
- 33:59US CIA, FBI, military, or all these together. We don't know.
- 34:06He was manipulated. I told he was penetrating a group the Cuban agents
- 34:10that wanted to kill Kennedy. But from the very beginning he was to be
- 34:15the element to blame Cuba. Not less than fifteen persons took part in the
- 34:21assassination. Ascalante theorizes, at the same time, knowing a little about CIA
- 34:27operations, we see how they used a principle of decentralized operations, independent parties
- 34:32with a specific role to guarantee compartmentalization and to keep it simple. It's a
- 34:39good, good theory, folks, And we read that one more time.
- 34:47We see how they used the principle of decentralized operations, independent parties with specific
- 34:57roles to guarantee compart mentalization and to keep it simple. Now, we just
- 35:12talked about one of Colonel Bishop's friends, right, John Martino. So let's
- 35:27check out a little bit about mister John Martino and stick with me. Like
- 35:31I said, folks, this is going somewhere. They tune. Okay,
- 35:37I promise, I'm going somewhere with all this. I promise, stay with
- 35:42me. It's important I lay out this roadmap of folks and associates. Okay,
- 35:47very important. So John Martino, this is from No Twiman's book,
- 35:55Bloody Treason. John Martino is one more CIA mafia operative who had four knowledge
- 36:04of the JFK assassination. An important aspect of Martino's story is that it was
- 36:08confirmed by his wife and in part by his son, and also told to
- 36:13a Newsday reporter, and Martine had instructed did it not be revealed until after
- 36:17his death. In nineteen ninety four, Anthony Summers and his wife Robin interviewed
- 36:24Martinez's widow of Florence, age eighty, and her son Edward. Missus.
- 36:29Martinez said she was with her husband at their home in Miami on November twenty
- 36:34second, nineteen sixty three, and she has a vivid memory of that moment.
- 36:38You were supposed to go out to the Americana for lunch, but it
- 36:42was on the radio about the visit to Dallas, about President Kennedy, and
- 36:50he said, flow they're gonna kill him. They're gonna kill him when he
- 36:54gets to Dallas. Somers wrote that Missus Martinez said she had questioned her husband
- 37:00briefly and got no response, went out for a little while, and was
- 37:02home again by the time her son Edward, heard the news of the assassination
- 37:07on television. When I called them in, Edward remembered, my father went
- 37:12white as a sheet. But it wasn't like gee wiz. It was more
- 37:15like a confirmation. Then John was instantly on the phone, frantically making phone
- 37:22calls. Florence remembered he got I don't know how many calls from Texas.
- 37:28I don't know who called him, but he was on the phone, on
- 37:30the phone, on the phone all day. Newsday reporter John Cummings, who
- 37:38knew Martino from previous years, told Summers that in nineteen seventy five, Martinho
- 37:44told him he'd been part of the assassination of Kennedy. He wasn't in Dallas
- 37:49pulling the trigger, but he was involved. He implied that his role was
- 37:52delivering money or fabricating things. He asked me not to write it while he
- 37:59was still alive. Martine told Cummings that the anti cast of Cubans were involved,
- 38:06and that there had been two guns and two people involved. The last
- 38:10time he met reporter Cummings, Martineau made an astonishing claim. It came out
- 38:15of the blue. Cummings recalls. John told me he had himself met Oswald
- 38:22several weeks before the assassination in Miami. He said an FBI agent named Connors
- 38:27asked him to come to a boat docked in Biscayne Bay and introduce him to
- 38:30Oswald by name. The impression John got was that Oswald didn't know his ass
- 38:36from his elbow, didn't know what he was involved in. He thought the
- 38:39agent wanted him to meet Oswald because John was involved in anti communist activity and
- 38:45Oswald was someone this agent was running. We have not been able to trace
- 38:49him Miami agent with the name of Connors, answering the description provided by Cummings.
- 38:54BI files show Martino did not have contacts after the assassination with an agent
- 39:00named James J. O'Connor. When we tracked down in retirement, John Martino
- 39:05he said, I'm afraid all I could tell you is yes, the name
- 39:07rings a bell. I don't recall or that he was a regular contact.
- 39:12Though O'Connor said he could not recall whether he was in touch with Martino before
- 39:16the assassination. He said he had never met Oswald at any time. Cummings,
- 39:23an investigative reporter for more than thirty years, does not think the Martino
- 39:28allegation was just a crooked slur against the law enforcement officer. I believe Martino.
- 39:34He says it came across just before he died, like a confession.
- 39:37I was told at Connors the agent any name was Encounter Intelligence. Laurence Martino
- 39:44died one month after Summer's interview in nineteen ninety four. John Martino's story takes
- 39:51on even more significance in the fact that he was associated with Santos Trafficante.
- 39:55They had been arrested and incarcerated together in Cuba. Moreover, Martine It was
- 40:00closely associated with William Pauley, co founder of the Flying Tigers, ex ambassador
- 40:06to Peru and Brazil, and right wing multi millionaire. Paully was a ciage
- 40:15in contact close to Alan Dulles in nineteen sixty three, Martinez was deeply involved
- 40:21with William Paully in a controversial plot to credit JFK Like proving that Soviet missiles
- 40:27were still in Cuba. The plot included the use of Paully's boat to Flying
- 40:30Tiger to tow a small boat that would be used in a covert op to
- 40:35land a group of Cuban exiles in Cuba. It was thought that they would
- 40:38be able to bring back witnesses to verify that offensive missiles were still in Cuba,
- 40:43thus embarrassing the Kennedy's administration. The plot was financed in part by Henry
- 40:49and Claire booth Loose of Life and Time magazine. The operation was a failure.
- 40:53None of the Cubans who went ashore in the mission were ever heard from
- 40:57again. Pauli's involvement in anti Caster activities began to surface in the late seventies.
- 41:07In nineteen seventy seven, Gayton fons he added Pauli's name to the list
- 41:10of people to be questioned by the HSCA. Around that time, Paully contracted
- 41:15a nervous ailment shingles, and one week after his name was added to the
- 41:20list, he committed suicide with a gunshot wound to the chest. Sound familiar.
- 41:27This was one more key person dying suddenly when investigators were zeroing in on
- 41:30them. The list includes David Ferry, Johnny Rosselli, Sam gen Connor,
- 41:35David Sanchez Morales, and George de Moorn. Shield Paully has emerged as potentially
- 41:42a very important person in the Kennedy assassination, though his far Eastern experiences with
- 41:47the Flying Tigers and military operations, is it reasonable to assume that Paully had
- 41:52linkages to General Willoughby? He had financial motives to see John Kennedy eliminated,
- 42:00having lost considerable properties in Cuba when Castro took over. Rumors or that we
- 42:08have a partnership of the CIA with the mafia to assassinate foreign leaders, the
- 42:14CIA's involvement in Alandules's grotesque ultrasecret mind control programs to develop robot assassins, and
- 42:20the CIA and organized crimes partnership, and the illegal armsshipment and drug running.
- 42:24And we have a picture that is so outlandish and complexes to defy the imagination.
- 42:30And we are not even getting started with a long list of other dangerous
- 42:32secrets that can be enumerated. These people did not play the prescribed rules.
- 42:37They made up their own rules as they went along. They all lived lives
- 42:40with the seat and betrayal. And out of this, out of this misson
- 42:49seeing the Exalted, emerged the decision to assassinate John F. Kennedy. The
- 42:58HSCA became very interested in Martino in nineteen seventy seven, when an analogous informant
- 43:02called Fred from Fort Worth telephone. The committee several times that indicated a close
- 43:08relationship with Martino, who had recently died. A synopsis of the hsca's investigation
- 43:14of Martino in nineteen seventy seven was provided in a memo by investigators Fanzi and
- 43:20Gonzalez. Fred said that Martine told him that he worked for the CIA and
- 43:28that he was killed by ante chaster Cubans. Martinez said the assassins knew the
- 43:32motorcade route before they went to Dallas. Fred said that Martinez's widow would have
- 43:37knowledge of such information. Fred also suggested that a former employer of Martino,
- 43:43Alan Roth, would provide information. On being interviewed, Missus Martineau denied her
- 43:49husband ever had been associated with the CIA. Buck produced names of her husband's
- 43:52associates who were involved in CIA ops. He said her husband was arrested by
- 43:58Castro in Cuba because he was mistaken for a Navy commander with the same name.
- 44:01He produced material which indicated her husband had given lectures claiming that Castro was
- 44:07involved in the Kennedy assassination. Former employers Alan Roth and son Kenneth Roth,
- 44:13when interviewed, said that Martino told them he had been involved in CIA operations.
- 44:20They said they believe Martino was related to mafia boss Angelo Bruno the Philadelphia.
- 44:27They provided information I possible in martino involvement in gun dealing. They could
- 44:32provide no information of Martino's involvement in or knowledge of the Kennedy assassination. They
- 44:39provided information which indicates the possible identity of Fred. So you see the ties
- 44:49start to trickle, and we'll scoot through here to next juicy part. So
- 45:07let's seeing what was that. Russ says Martine was sent to Guatemala to look
- 45:15after their accounts receivable from their real estate interest. There, Martino became very
- 45:22friendly with Jorge Muldonado of Castro Cuban Operations, at least in Savar's statements about
- 45:30Fiddal. But in the same tape conversations on February eight, nineteen eighty three
- 45:36between Bishop and Shaw, Bishop said that he was president at General Edwards Walker's
- 45:42house when Walker, Nadal, Roy Hargraves, and two others discussed the assassination
- 45:47of JFK. This occurred about one week after the Walker Sniper incident in April
- 45:54of sixty three. To my surprise, Gary Shaw's memory about Colonel bishop failure
- 46:00to mention General Willoughby had not been correct. Bishop had indeed mentioned Willoughby just
- 46:06days before Bishop died on June twenty three, nineteen ninety two. Bishop told
- 46:10Shaw they had gone to see Walker a few times, and during their meetings
- 46:15General Charles Willoughby was present. When Bishop revealed that information to Gary Shaw.
- 46:21He had just had two heart attacks and died within a few days, and
- 46:25his funeral services were held on July fifth, nineteen ninety two. Of great
- 46:30interest was that Bishop told Shaw that if Adell had been driven in in nineteen
- 46:36fifty seven black and white Chevy from Miami to Dallas in nineteen sixty three,
- 46:39the same make modeling year as the automobile shown in the photograph taken outside of
- 46:45General Walker's home at about the same time he was allegedly shot at by Lee
- 46:50Harvey Oswald. Another item of significance was a paragraph and an FBI document in
- 46:54Shaw's files which reads redacted further But on the morning of August nineteen, nineteen
- 47:01sixty three, he observed another vehicle with three Cubans departing the vicinity of Big
- 47:07Pine Key. He described the vehicles in nineteen fifty seven Chevy bearing nineteen sixty
- 47:14three Florida license plate. The car appeared to be driven by a medium sized
- 47:19Cuban with a prominent black mustache. Daal was described by a Colonel Bishop as
- 47:23a ruddy white Cuban, athletic smoker, black hair, excellent rifle and pistol
- 47:30skills mustache. On occasion, when the Dallas Police were questioned by the Warrnant
- 47:37Commission about the photograph of the fifty seventh Chevy, they said that the whole
- 47:40was in it when they found it in Oswald's possessions. Later, however,
- 47:45when retired police Chief Jesse Curry wrote his book JFK Assassination File, he included
- 47:50a photograph showing Walker's house and the fifty seventh Chevy with the automobile's license plate
- 47:54still intact. Marina Oswald had earlier testified to the Warrant Mission that she saw
- 48:00the photograph. There was no hole obscuring the license plate. So somebody who
- 48:08knew, somebody at the Dallas Police Department had this photograph. There was a
- 48:15legendly Oswald's possession of that car, that Chevy in Walker's driveway had the license
- 48:22plate put out of it. Why. Colonel Bishop told Shaw that Rolando Master
- 48:36was given five hundred thousand dollars by Jimmy Hoffa exactly seventeen days before JFK was
- 48:42killed. Bishop said the information came to him from Cuban General Francisco Nevernia,
- 48:49Cuba's former commander in the Cuban Air Force, and Cuba's General Patton. According
- 48:53to Bishop said the transaction took place at a Miami hotel, man demand,
- 48:59and the money was in a brief case. He also said that Vidal was
- 49:02very close to Rolando mashfr Bishop said that Masfer had become deeply involved with the
- 49:07mafia and had told him in October sixty three that he would kill Kennedy if
- 49:12he got the chance. He said that Masfer was in Trent in New Jersey
- 49:15at the time of the assassination. Bishop said this information came from Antonio Vesciana
- 49:22of Alpha sixty six. Bishop also said that Vidal was a member of Alpha
- 49:25sixty six. Another of item of interest that ties in with the gun running
- 49:30in Dallas is that Bishop told Shaw that he had just read the truth of
- 49:35the story of Nancy perrin Rich in Fensterwald's book, and that he Bishop had
- 49:39attended the meeting in which Nancy perrin Rich claimed she had met with a Colonel
- 49:44Jack Ruby and others because in gun running activities. Bishop said he was at
- 49:49the meeting but did not know Jack Ruby had never connected him to the incident.
- 49:53Bishop also said that he didn't remember that the son of Jenna It's the
- 49:58son of Jenne Easy was present. But most important, Bishop said that Vidal
- 50:02Philipe Fidellas Santiago was present at the meeting. The Nancy parent Rich story in
- 50:07the gun running in Dallas were discussed in the previous chapter. So yeah,
- 50:14read more if you want to bloody treason, folks, that's good stuff.
- 50:25Just keeping around for some of the some of the more juicy parts here.
- 50:36Apparently, the Colonel Bishop told Gary Shaw researcher Gary Shaw Kinds of Shit.
- 50:43In Shaw's notes were two envelopes filled with copies of Colonel Bishop's card files from
- 50:47the early sixties. I went through the cards and there were addresses and phone
- 50:52numbers of an amazing array of characters and political figures. They included the Laudio
- 50:57Davalier, Orlando mass for Roy Hargrey, names of members of Rolando's Master's Tiger
- 51:04Group, Mario Garcia Coley Seniors, address department, number of phone numbers,
- 51:08places where he could be reached, and the home address and home phone number
- 51:12of CI directed John McCone. Also included was the address of Kent Crane by
- 51:16Presidential Assistant at the White House, the home phone number of Admiral Taswell Sheppard,
- 51:22and then the home address and phone number of Julian sour Wine. Let's
- 51:35see us. Dick Russell. Back to his book The Man Who Knew Too
- 51:47Much, Colonel Bishop claimed to have met Niguel when he was an associate of
- 51:52Rolando Master. For Russell recalled in his book the Niguel had told him that
- 51:58one of his original assigned t argats was to kill Orlando Master. For Niguel
- 52:02had made another reference to Master, for in a letter to Russell not long
- 52:07after Master was blown to bits my dynamite bomb planted in his car, Niguel
- 52:13had noted pleased to read that the Tiger finally got his Colonel Bishop told Russell
- 52:20that he finally realized that Nagel was with intelligence under CIA contract, and it
- 52:25was safe to assume that Niguel was involved in Alpha sixty six as well.
- 52:30Bishop said it was when he was in New Orleans that Niguel's presence came up.
- 52:36Niguel had been there several times. It was trying to get into the
- 52:37inner workings of the anti Castro movement. He said. Niguel was asking too
- 52:43many questions about things he had no business knowing. Bishop said, at his
- 52:47end, he was trying to determine who the hell Niguel was. He said
- 52:52he called William Colby at the CIA, with whom he had participated in paratrooper
- 52:55training at Fort Benning in nineteen forty. He asked Colby, who the hell
- 53:00is this guy. Colby replied, I don't know. The man used discretion.
- 53:07Bishop said it was several months after that when he heard about the Niguel
- 53:10shooting at the Bank Bishop said he didn't know that there was a Cuban after
- 53:16Niguel, and that Antonio Vestiana had told him that. He said there were
- 53:22rumors that Niguel had stumbled onto the fact that there was an assassination being seriously
- 53:25planned. So, in Bishop's opinion, the reason for the bank shoot up
- 53:30in El Paso was for Niguel to get himself picked up and protected. This
- 53:36was also confirmed to me previously by Niguel's estate executor, who said Niguel had
- 53:42said that was the reason. Next up the interesting story of Richard Marginson.
- 53:51Date of birth nineteen twenty seven June sixteenth, in Rochester, New York.
- 53:55Marginson, while living in Los Angeles, California, in nineteen sixty two,
- 53:59met one Lawrence Howard Junior, six feet tall, three hundred pounds of Mexican
- 54:06descent. Howard was engaged in collecting funds to support anti Castro forces. Howard
- 54:12went to the Florida Keys in sixty two for six months but a purpose of
- 54:15training troops to invade Cuba, and thereafter in late sixty two, returned to
- 54:22La accompanied by Rudy Hernandez, Mexican in his twenties five two heavy build and
- 54:32an unsubbed aka Slim, no other name known, white male five six,
- 54:39also in his twenties. Slim and Rudy resided at at Olive Hotel Olive Street,
- 54:45Los Angeles, Howard specific address unknown, but lived in east or northeast
- 54:50Dela. All were employed by Jack Casey, not further described painting and refurbishing
- 54:58the old Union Temple building located behind the LA Greyhound bus station. This building
- 55:02reportedly housed the Marquade Printing Shop in the basement, which at that time was
- 55:09engaged in printing the original draft of Richard Nixon's book after he lost the presidential
- 55:15election. Through these individuals, Marginson met a man called Texts who arrived from
- 55:20New Orleans in late sixty two or early sixty three. Text reportedly was a
- 55:24hitman and described as a white male, late twenties, about five to seven,
- 55:30slender build one thirty five, former military in a rotten disposition. Marginson
- 55:37said Text visited his house on Trade Street and furnished his name as Harvey Lee.
- 55:45Text left Los Angeles destination unknown after about two weeks. Following the Kennedy
- 55:52assassination and pictures of Lee Harvey Oswald, Marginson realized the texts and Oswald appeared
- 56:00to be identical individuals. Marginson said. Howard was later suppointed by District Attorney
- 56:07Jim Garrison in New Orleans. Mrginson decided to come forth after viewing a recent
- 56:15TV documentary on the Warrant Commission investigations, wherein it was depicted Oswald was in
- 56:21Russia, while in fact Oswald was in California. This caused Murgison to believe
- 56:25that a conspiracy could possibly have existed and that Oswald may not have acted alone.
- 56:35So yeah, next we jumped to Gerald Patrick Hemming. He states,
- 56:42there were several clusters of people and two large long tables in this room,
- 56:46and at one end of the room, Davis were approached by one man four
- 56:50others or within hearing distance. Demand made a proposal to Hemming to assassinate JFK.
- 56:58Nelson Bunker Hunt in the room, but at the other end of the
- 57:00room, but at the other end from the man who made the proposal.
- 57:06Hemming declined, saying you shouldn't be talking to me directly about this. Hemming
- 57:10would not identify the man who made the offer. On November the eighteenth,
- 57:15nineteen sixty three, dal left Dallas from Miami left four Dallas. From Miami,
- 57:22he was driven there. He returned by plane on the evening of November
- 57:25twenty second, getting into Miami at nighttime. Hemming told Gayton, Fonzie,
- 57:30and me at the meeting in Fort Lauderdale that the man who took Vadow to
- 57:35Dallas on November the eighteenth, nineteen sixty three was Vadal's case officer. This
- 57:45implies that Colonel William Bishop Bishop might have been Vadal's case officer and the one
- 57:53who drove Vado to Dallas. Dal did not have a driver's license. That's
- 58:00explaining why he did not drive good drive. However, according to Hemming,
- 58:04this fits in with Escalante's statement that Vidal holdy Cubans. He was driven by
- 58:08Colonel Bishop from Miami to Dallas in November sixty three, where he met with
- 58:13wealthy Texans. All the above items are consistent with the statements of Colonel William
- 58:19Bishop and the documents that Hemming gave to me. Recall that Colonel Bishop spoke
- 58:23of meetings in Dallas with Vidal, General Walker, and others in which assassination
- 58:29of JFK was discussed. Other meetings included Charles Willoughby, then an employee of
- 58:34Hli Hunt. It is tied together. Let's see the importance of this chain
- 58:45of evidence cannot be over emphasized. For the first time, we have direct
- 58:49evidence that strongly tends to implicate the Dallas right winging and the JFK assassination.
- 58:53It also implicates Guy Banister in New Orleans. It's tied together by independent statements
- 58:59of General Fabian Escalante, Colonel William Bishop, FBI and CIA documents, and
- 59:04the statements of Hemming. Recall once more that Hemming had told Dick Russell in
- 59:08nineteen ninety two about Badal going to Dallas in the week before the assassination and
- 59:14meeting with wealth of Texans Texans, having made his statements before Escalante's, before
- 59:24Escalante's Cuban intelligence conference in nineteen ninety five. And now the moment you've all
- 59:37been waiting for, this long and winding road which I have paved with bricks
- 59:49of information leading us to this ultimate destination. And trust me, there is
- 59:57a narrative here of interconnect to characters and doing research. Sometimes you find funny
- 1:00:07things along the way, things that make you go m interesting. Interesting.
- 1:00:16Now, this rifle that we talked about, this Johnson thirty six U sport
- 1:00:22arized it was found had to be found somewhere in or around the school Book
- 1:00:29Depository on November twenty second, thus lead to be investigated by the FBI on
- 1:00:34no Remember the twenty third, and suddenly disappeared into thin air after that.
- 1:00:43UM was allegedly I believe, allegedly I said it was found possibly possibly on
- 1:00:53the second floor of the school Book Depository. UM. Possibly there was also
- 1:01:07a thirty odd six shell found on the roof of the Dallas County Records Building
- 1:01:13some many many years after the assassination when they were doing some refurbishment on the
- 1:01:19roof, so it possibly could have found been found there. It also could
- 1:01:31have possibly been found on the roof for the school book Depository. And you
- 1:01:37might say, well, roby they didn't find a rifle on the roof of
- 1:01:40the school book Depository, did they? Well? Actually, according to Tom
- 1:01:49Bethel, who was an investigator for Jim Garrison for a time, rot rifle
- 1:02:00found on roof with school book Depository see volume fifteen, page five, ninety
- 1:02:06testimony of Thayer Waldo. According to Sprague, a sequence showing this rifle being
- 1:02:13brought down from the roof of the school book depository is shown and the Dallas
- 1:02:17Cinema Associates film of the assassination. So there's that either way, wherever this
- 1:02:30rifle was found, I believe it is a highly important piece of information.
- 1:02:36And now that you see the inner connections between all of these characters and all
- 1:02:42of these locations, be it from LA to Dallas, to New Orleans to
- 1:02:46Florida, whether it be the CIA, the FBI, the anti Castro Cubans,
- 1:02:55the extreme right wing, the mafia, all weaved and tied in together
- 1:03:05through certain individuals and circumstances. Just to reiterate what I've always said before,
- 1:03:14whoever was pulling that trigger when November the twenty, nineteen sixty three was motivated
- 1:03:24motivated by one or two things, or possibly both. Number one is money.
- 1:03:36You pay somebody enough money, they'll kill whoever you want them to.
- 1:03:40The second thing is ideology. If somebody feels so strongly about cause or a
- 1:03:52certain thing, and if they believe that that that person in their sight poses
- 1:04:00a direct threat to their deeply held beliefs, they wouldn't hesitate to pull that
- 1:04:06trigger, and you wouldn't even need to pay them to do it. But
- 1:04:16sometimes it's a combination of both. You know, it doesn't hurt. Hey,
- 1:04:21yeah, Kennedy, you have no problem pulling a trigger. Well,
- 1:04:24here's an extra fifty grand for you. You know. That's that's what we
- 1:04:30call icing on the cake, folks. So again, I let you down
- 1:04:35this long and winding road, this tangled web of people, places, and
- 1:04:43events and circumstances, to arrive here at this point where on Wednesday, I'm
- 1:05:00sorry, Thursday, November twenty one, nineteen sixty three, the man by
- 1:05:10the name of Warren Castor carried two rifles into the school Book Depository. Now,
- 1:05:24mister Castor was an employee of the Southwestern Publishing Company and had been since
- 1:05:30nineteen fifty two, not necessarily in this Dallas office, though, there was
- 1:05:42a period of time before he started with Southwestern Publishing Company that he spent in
- 1:05:47the US Navy Nave Intelligence. Joseph Ball asked them, your office is on
- 1:06:04which floor? Castor says, second floor. Ball says, did you ever
- 1:06:13bring any guns into the school Book Depository building? Castor says, yeah,
- 1:06:16I did. Who's guns were they? Castor says they were my guns?
- 1:06:28What kind of guns were they? Castor says, well, one gun was
- 1:06:33a Remanton single shot twenty two rifle and the other was a thirty out six
- 1:06:44sport aized mouser. Do you understand what I'm getting? Asked? Folks?
- 1:06:59What if? And this is a big ass what if? And I know
- 1:07:03that what if? This rifle was actually a Johnson thirty OT six sportarized.
- 1:07:17I'm not sure how well Castor new rifles and weapons. So where did he
- 1:07:24get these guns from? Well, I'll tell you he had just bought them
- 1:07:40at Sanger Harris Sporting his department allegedly. Yes, I picked up both rifles
- 1:07:57and cartons and just like they were. This was during the new hour and
- 1:08:00I entered the Texas school Book Depository building. On my way up to the
- 1:08:02buying office, I stopped by mister Trully's office, and while I was there,
- 1:08:08we examined the two rifles that I had purchased. Did you take him
- 1:08:12out of the cartons? Yes? I did. Who was there besides you
- 1:08:16and Roy? Truly? Well, I'm not really sure who was there.
- 1:08:23I think you were there, Bill, and mister Shelley was there and mister
- 1:08:28Roy truly. Now, I don't know who Castor is addressing here. When
- 1:08:34he says, I think you were there. I'm sure it wasn't Joseph Ball,
- 1:08:39the man who's questioned him. So there must be somebody else in this
- 1:08:42room. I don't know who it is. The only people that I know
- 1:08:48about in any event, were there were workers at the time. I'm not
- 1:08:53quite sure how many. I couldn't even tell you their names. I don't
- 1:08:57know the Texas school Book Depository where house workers there in the shipping department.
- 1:09:04Now, when Oswald was arrested and interrogated, he did mention that this guy
- 1:09:13had brought rifles into the school book depository. And we're showing him to mister
- 1:09:18Trulli. Do they go on danter back and forth. The weird thing is,
- 1:09:29though, this guy decided not to come to work on November twenty second,
- 1:09:34nineteen sixty three. Now, remember I told you his name is Warren
- 1:09:42Castor. Okay, everybody knows the Sylvia Odio story right where we allegedly have
- 1:09:57at one point, it was at dinner five that it was Lauren, Paul,
- 1:10:01Lawrence Howard and Seymour who went to visit Silvia Odio and make these wild
- 1:10:14claims. Later, you know, Howard denied going to Silvia Odios, but
- 1:10:25Lauren Hall admitted to it, and this led to a falling out between them
- 1:10:30two. But the interesting thing about the Odio incident is we have these names,
- 1:10:42these anti Castro mercenaries, names attached with this. Okay, now I
- 1:10:54know this man, Warren Castor is named Warren Castor, obviously, But in
- 1:11:13the course of my checking things out, and in the course of investigating another
- 1:11:26line, which I'm hoping it's going to be something big and it's going to
- 1:11:30be out somewhere around the anniversary the assassination. But in the course of investigating
- 1:11:35that line of research, I came across something. It has to do with
- 1:11:45Sylvia Odio and another colonel. Now this colonel's name is Colonel Castor. This
- 1:12:02information is coming in to the FBI. On November thirtieth, nineteen sixty three,
- 1:12:12a missus C. L. Connell of Lakeshore Drive advised that she has
- 1:12:16ascertained the identified the identity sorry of an individual previously known to her only as
- 1:12:25Colonel Castor to be one Colonel Robert L. Castor of Fieldwood Street, Dallas,
- 1:12:32Texas. She stated she has also determined the identity of an individual who
- 1:12:38previously referred to her only as mister Martin to be Johnny Martin of Carnegie Drive,
- 1:12:47Dallas, Texas. It may be noted that missus connell is a volunteer
- 1:12:51worker on the Catholic Cuban Relief Committee at Dallas, Texas and has furnished limited
- 1:13:00information on the above individuals. Now you might think, okay, well,
- 1:13:09what what what does that mean? Well, this report is so brief that
- 1:13:16you know it requires some suspicion. It's deceptive and makes one wonder about later
- 1:13:23FBI and Secret Services reports. According to this author, she knew Missus castor
- 1:13:34Well and Colonel Bob slightly. They suspect her. Bob thinks she may be
- 1:13:40Cia. She appears to have remarried and not now to be living in Dallas.
- 1:13:46She could not possibly Now they're talking about missus O'Connell, the woman who
- 1:13:51did this report to the FBI. Um she could not possibly have failed to
- 1:13:59tell the f b I of the Caster connection with a Cuban Catholic relief and
- 1:14:02father McMahon McCann. And if she failed to mention Odio, that is simply
- 1:14:10fantastic and requires additional suspicion of her. There's ever so much she could have
- 1:14:15reported and assuredly should have, of which I know. The other reporting of
- 1:14:18this pair of agencies I recall seems to leave must to be desired. Johnny
- 1:14:24Martin is an unusually common name in this story. This one was a gun
- 1:14:32merchant who owned a gun store, who also owned a laundrymatt He also knew
- 1:14:38Sylvia Odio. He also dated her sister. Have you any idea where the
- 1:14:45limited information she had earlier furnished might be earlier than eleven thirty means the FBI
- 1:14:50had to have known of Sylvia and her story earlier than the first report on
- 1:14:55it I have, and would seem to indicate they were reluctant to see her
- 1:15:00and gets the story from her. Missus Connell is not Catholic. She had
- 1:15:03a rather close relationship with Odeo, if you know what I'm saying. Wink
- 1:15:09wink. Donny Martin, whose real name is Juan Juan Martin of Dallas,
- 1:15:20Texas advice. He has acquainted with Sylvia Odio, who approached him to help
- 1:15:25her with the organization known as Junta Revolutionaria otherwise known as Jure ju r E.
- 1:15:35However, he did not help her and he had never heard I never
- 1:15:40heard of Lee Harvey Oswald prior to November twenty, nineteen sixty three, and
- 1:15:45has never I never met a Lee Harvey Oswald either. This report was taken
- 1:15:51on December nineteenth, nineteen sixty three by James HOSTI Yeah, that guy.
- 1:16:11So the FBI connects this with the odio story in every way, but fails
- 1:16:18to have even a glimmer of the readily available facts, including it could never
- 1:16:25it could never have overlooked this guy was a gun merchant, as they must
- 1:16:30have known. There are other John Martins who had to be of interest,
- 1:16:34and they do not even mention them to say this is not one example.
- 1:16:41Marina's shepherd, Ruby's lawyer, Castro's prisoner writer in Dallas speaker in Incidentally,
- 1:16:50he was at this time in Dallas, having spoken there October first. His
- 1:16:56origin has not indicated his business, his phone to kind of help Sylvia Sault
- 1:17:01guns, whether she had ever sent him customers, people looking for him,
- 1:17:06etc. That is not even a barely adequate, clever report. It is
- 1:17:12like these in New Orleans by Wall, woefully inadequate for even the pretense of
- 1:17:23the investigation. It indicates to me by this time the FBI was consciously covering
- 1:17:30in this story, which may explain the delay in ODIO. However, with
- 1:17:38the report of the day before of the ODIO interview not mentioning Martin, these
- 1:17:45seem to have been no reason. There seemed to be no reason for knowing
- 1:17:49about Martin or asking him what is hidden from the ODIO report. Hosti,
- 1:17:56the loan agent on this one, had no interest in dates, Yet the
- 1:18:00indefiniteness of the ODIO story required interest in dates. We do not know whether
- 1:18:04there is earlier dates on Martin and on a gun merchant, or we to
- 1:18:09presume there wasn't. How host he spoke to him, whether he had known
- 1:18:13him earlier, or whether anyone in the FBI did, which is more than
- 1:18:16likely and short the two demands further interest in both the content of the story
- 1:18:23and the FBI is handling of it so interesting Now one can make a bunch
- 1:18:39of supposition of things. What if let's play the what if game, folks,
- 1:18:49I love to play that game. What if is thirty six sportarized rifle
- 1:18:58that this caster fell brought into the school book depository? What if he never
- 1:19:06took it home? What if it wasn't a mouser? What if it was
- 1:19:12a Johnson. What if it was the Johnson that was pawned by heming In
- 1:19:19Hall in Los Angeles to the Halfcock Detective Agency. What if this Colonel Caster
- 1:19:30Fellow who's mentioned by FBI reports and associated with the odios and John N.
- 1:19:40Martin or Juan Martin again, these these names keep popping up, Jack Martin,
- 1:19:51John Martin, Johnny Martin, John Herbert Martin, Jim Martin, James
- 1:19:58Herbert Martin, James Martin, Thorne, John Martin, Martin Martin Martin,
- 1:20:02Martin Martin, John Martin Jr. John T. Martin. They're not could
- 1:20:09go on and on and on, and I will um at a later date.
- 1:20:15But you know, what if, okay, what if we know Hal
- 1:20:26picked this rifle up out of Hawk from the half kind of detective Agency,
- 1:20:29and we know he came back through Dallas. Now what if this rifle was
- 1:20:46meant or put there to set haul up or what if it was used in
- 1:20:50the assassination. Either way, you got a pretty badass sniper rifle with an
- 1:20:59anti cast mercenaries fingerprints all over it. Not to mention the detective in Los
- 1:21:04Angeles, probably right wing as well. But this rifle had to be found
- 1:21:13somewhere in or around that building. And it's pretty funny that another thirty odd
- 1:21:18six orderized rifle was taken into it a couple of days prior to the assassination.
- 1:21:27Pretty interesting that this rifle was allegedly found on the second floor, and
- 1:21:32pretty interesting that this Warren Castor fellow's office was also on the second floor and
- 1:21:39he admitted to taking the rifle up to his office after showing it to his
- 1:21:43co workers that day. The question is he says in his Warren Commission testimony
- 1:21:49that he took it home and that the rifles were in his And I also
- 1:21:56no remember the twenty second but I can find no police report, no FBI
- 1:22:01investigative report that actually checked up on this or did any kind of investigation into
- 1:22:09into Castor. Now, it's interesting this guy's names Castor, any relations to
- 1:22:15this other Castro Castor fellow who was visiting Odio and as Johnny Martin, as
- 1:22:21other gun dealer, any any anything going on with this Colonel Castor to Colonel
- 1:22:33Bishop and Colonel Willoughby being tied into all these extreme right wingers like hunt In,
- 1:22:43all these generals and colonels in these anti Castro communists interesting to think of,
- 1:22:59folks. I'm not saying it's the rifle. I'm just saying we have
- 1:23:04to somehow counts for this rifle. And if things went down and this kind
- 1:23:15of a thing, it's pretty crazy. But anyway, that's it for me.
- 1:23:25That's it for this show. I hope you enjoyed the long one winding
