- 1:56declared day. It actually occurred back innineteen eighty four. We got reinvigorated in
- 2:04two thousand and two where unanimously one hundred and ninety three countries agreed for a
- 2:10day of peace. And what they requested one hundred ninety three countries at the
- 2:15United Nations. This is a real United Nations town. Anybody tried to get
- 2:21to the East side in the last couple of days. In any case,
- 2:24they requested a moment of silence for peace. And we're going to hear from
- 2:28Ringo Star a couple seconds and we pray it plays back. We've had some
- 2:35audio difficulties, we've had some technical ups and downs, but we're dedicated.
- 2:42This is our twenty first annual show. So I thank everybody here. We
- 2:47have had thousands of people. We have one hundred and fifty people just on
- 2:53this show alone who have donated their time, their energy, flown from all
- 3:00around the world actually to be here. So one give yourselves an applause for
- 3:06being here for the International Day of Peace. Okay, I think it's around
- 3:10noon. All right, we're gonna go to Ringo Star. Ringo Star is
- 3:16my lucky number number nine. Let's hope it plays. Okay, Peace and
- 3:25love, everybody, Peace and love. Yes, my name is Ringo and
- 3:30I'm here to make you aware on the twenty first of September, it's the
- 3:35International Day and Moments of Peace. So I'm here on behalf of the UN
- 3:44General Secretary to let you know that at noon on the twenty first that we
- 3:50can have a moment of silence for peace. I'm going to have my moment
- 3:53now. Oh I feel good. Peace and love everybody. Okay, Peace
- 4:04and love. Thank you, Ringo. Let's hear it for Ringo Star.
- 4:10Ringo Star is a peace messenger. All right, very nice, Thank you
- 4:15very much. Ringo. All right, now we're gonna go. There's a
- 4:17peace wave occurring right now from New Zealand all the way to Hawaii, and
- 4:23we're gonna go to watch that at this moment, and we're gonna roll in
- 4:28number ten. My wish for peace today, on the International Day of Peace
- 4:45and for every day, is for you to add your prayers for the total
- 4:49elimination of nuclear weapons. Hello, everybody, Welcome. We are the Seven
- 4:58Star Sisters, committed to a culture of peace. We each have an action
- 5:04of peace for you to follow. Mine is dive deep into compassion, listen
- 5:13to the other, and go from I to we to one. Practice the
- 5:23peace wave, a minute of silence, a moment of peace at twelve noon
- 5:30every day in every time zone, and greet strangers with a smile. It's
- 5:35the universal language of goodwill. Every breath we take is an act of peace.
- 5:45When we do world peace breathing, it's so simple. We inhale,
- 5:48thinking world and exhale thinking peace. Let's breathe inhale world, exhale pee.
- 6:04My action for peace is a global silent minute every day for global cooperation,
- 6:12peace and freedom. Join me right now for one second of peace, and
- 6:23every day at nine pm GMT, one minute for peace. A low world.
- 6:32Join us in actions for peace starting with let's think it, may peace
- 6:40prevail on Earth. Let's say it, may peace prevail on Earth. And
- 6:46let's also live it, may peace prevail on Earth. And now let's say
- 6:53it all together, May peace on Earth? Okay, more than ever the
- 7:04world needs our joy. Let us all together, all around the world,
- 7:10right where you are right now, jump the peace ready? One? Two?
- 7:17Three? Yeah? Okay. Those were a lot of people that have
- 7:27been involved with peace for the last twenty one years. Let's give them a
- 7:30hand because there's a real peace wave happening. Now. You did see some
- 7:36additional things. You did see that Marianne Williamson. Uh. Somehow it ended
- 7:43up there on the screen, which is good because Marianne's gonna speak to us
- 7:47shortly, and she's been with us in the peace movement. I was thinking
- 7:55with my friend Rick Olphick on We the World, that she's been involved with
- 7:59us since two thousand and four. So you're gonna have on this stage today
- 8:03people that care about peace for many years. And Julianna will give him meditation
- 8:09in English and Spanish shortly, and she's with the Home Group, Inc.
- 8:15And we're happy to have them here as well. I think let's now take
- 8:18a moment with my buddy here, Pastor Monrose. He's the faith based executive
- 8:24director for the City of New York. And we have a statement from Mayor
- 8:30Adams, so let's hear them with number roll number eleven. Let's do it
- 8:37so on behalf of the Mayor Eric Adams. Again, we are truly grateful
- 8:41to Paul and everyone who have put this time together. On September twenty first,
- 8:46again will be pausing, including the Mayor and elected officials and even the
- 8:50Doe who's going to pause for moments of silence for world peace. And so
- 8:54we know for sure that the song says what the world needs now is peace,
- 8:56real peace. And I think that the collective piece that you see hair
- 9:01represented is very important. Not only that we need peace in our streets,
- 9:05but we need peace in our world. So thank you again for stopping for
- 9:09a moment to remember that in all of the business of the world, we
- 9:13can stop and pause and not want to remember the victims of ninety eleven,
- 9:16but also to remember that the world need peace and we are the ones who
- 9:20can create peace. Thank you again. Mayor Eric Adams, New York City
- 9:24Mayor participated in the International Day of Peace. He tweeted out by saying,
- 9:31the International Day of Peace reminds us each year of our commitment to upholding human
- 9:37rights and peacekeeping around the world. Our city is a beacon of hope and
- 9:43freedom in our country. Let's stand united as New Yorkers and Americans in promoting
- 9:48peace, not just today but every day. Okay, that was our mayor
- 9:58of New York, Mayor Adam. This is an involved city. We have
- 10:03so many wonderful You know what makes New York City so wonderful, It's the
- 10:07people in New York, the very kind and compassionate. Look at Times Square,
- 10:11this place has changed drastically over the last years. Later, we'll show
- 10:18a video or from a movie. We did Woodstock right here, the twentieth
- 10:22anniversary right at this location with Richie Havens. So today's show is really special
- 10:30and we're going to see a lot of people. You know what, I
- 10:31like to go now to Michael Douglas and for him to say something. He
- 10:41is a peace messenger for the United Nations. So let's go to hear roll
- 10:46number thirteen with Michael Douglas. You're watching the Peace Stag global Internet broadcasts celebrating
- 10:52the United Nations International Day of Peace. The Peace Steak Global Internet let broadcast
- 11:01promotes the United Nations it's agencies, funds and programs around the world working for
- 11:05peace, the environment, human rights, and social and economic justice. He's
- 11:13been such a stalworth for the United Nations Peace Messenger program. He spoke at
- 11:20the United Nations this past week along with so many dignitaries. You know,
- 11:26it's all good. Charles. Could you come up here in Geenie please,
- 11:31Charles Sullivan, I want to mention that I'm wearing a tie. I've worn
- 11:37It's okay, I've cleaned it a couple of times. But you can see
- 11:41that this is a Save the Children tie and it's written it's drawn as Saved
- 11:46the Children ties are it says Peace on Earth by Reesa Age ten. Just
- 11:52a little bit of a history here. We've been doing this Peace Day since
- 11:56two thousand and two and we've had I've been creating it initially at the bandshow
- 12:03in the Central Park, and in twenty fourteen we decided to bring it down
- 12:09here thanks to the Times Square Alliance. And this literally is a park for
- 12:15New York City Parks and Recreation. It's father Duffy Square, Okay, and
- 12:20father Duffy is the gentleman that's over there who's done great work for military people.
- 12:26And behind us there's George m cohen who sang wonderful songs. You're in
- 12:33Broadway, so it's wonderful from here to our next performer, actually I think
- 12:39is very special. He's from China and my good friend Charles Sullivan. This
- 12:48gentleman who's going to perform in a video God willing and you'll see him is
- 12:56Michael Jackson. And he's a Chinese Michael Jackson who looks like Michael Jackson.
- 13:01He seems like Michael Jackson. He really is. I saw him. When
- 13:05you hold his hand, you feel this like with Michael Jackson. And let
- 13:07me mention one other thing. We're gonna have Michael Jackson's drummer who's part of
- 13:13the Earth Wind and Fire, who's part of the Ome group that's gonna come
- 13:16on next Okay, you're gonna have there such a show here today. I
- 13:22apologize we had some technical difficulties because we're doing this show with solar power.
- 13:31Okay, A y Young and his battery tour, his battery that's here for
- 13:35the solar use of solar power. You know what's so interesting. Now even
- 13:41the newscasters are saying on News one Channel one here in Spectrum, they're talking
- 13:48about by using solar power, how equivalent that is to how many trees would
- 13:56be needed to cut down solar and sustainability. This show is called the International
- 14:03Day of Peace, But many years ago we had an ecology because you're gonna
- 14:07hear from doctor Jane Goodall soon, who's another piece messenger, and doctor Jane
- 14:11Goodall is gonna talk about the environmental concerns and her closing statement is, how
- 14:18can we have peace if we don't treat Mother Earth? Well, okay,
- 14:22so you're gonna see here today a real representative representation. This is serious.
- 14:31This is gonna be a six hour live worldwide broadcast on Unify. We have
- 14:35Tammy here from unify uh and back there, and there's also going to be
- 14:41on YouTube on Good News Broadcast and many other channels, and it'll have a
- 14:46replay and it'll have life forever. Because where you go is if you're not
- 14:52gonna be here the rest of the day, you go to Facebook, dot
- 14:54Com, Forward, Slash, unify you, n I f Y and you
- 15:00can look at all the signage here and you see you have Unify in the
- 15:05middle there you have Battery Tour, we have home, we have our Peace
- 15:11Day party, and then we have this beautiful drawing that Unified created for us,
- 15:16and A y Young helped us with all these batteries at the batteries and
- 15:20the smart Flower that's called the smart Flower over there, which right now is
- 15:24grabbing power. Ay's battery truck is up in the back there, which has
- 15:28brought come here with power, so over power. And in front of it
- 15:31is a Hummer is a General Motors American made hummer and that has an ev
- 15:39electronic vehicle. So we have a lot of sources for power and that's a
- 15:46good thing. So now let's get back to Michael Jackson. And these two
- 15:50lovely people are such good friends, so I would like them first Genie.
- 15:56Genie could just say hello, and then Charles bleed hello, everyone, welcome,
- 16:03yee okay, Charles please. Charles brought Michael Jackson, you know heal
- 16:11the World song. He brought him all around the world. This is his
- 16:15producer Victory Tour. Thank you, thank you very much, Paul, and
- 16:23thank you Paul for organizing this grand and glorious event in Times Square, the
- 16:30center of the world. As Paul mentioned, I had the opportunity to be
- 16:36the producer of Michael Jackson's Victory Tour and we played for over two and a
- 16:41half million people, and it was a grand and glorious success. And the
- 16:45same enthusiasm which we had from our tour attenders for that great show I see
- 16:53Paul has engendered in his drive for peace. And I'm a big fan of
- 16:59peace. I was an infantry captain in the US Army and Vietnam, and
- 17:04I saw how things went when you don't have peace. And my Vietnam experience
- 17:11gave me the feeling that piece is a much better answer than war. And
- 17:18I hope that the people who are running our country and the people who are
- 17:23running other countries will sign on to this wonderful initiative and that we will have
- 17:29world peace forever. Thank you so much. Okay, hello, hello,
- 17:34Hello, Oh it's working too, all right, that's good. I just
- 17:41lost my mic. Okay, Genie would like to say something because it's very
- 17:45important as well. This mic has to stay. You want to put this
- 17:47mic over there. Okay, Let's move this mic over there. Okay.
- 17:56They didn't want me to be in the middle here. I messed up.
- 18:00All right, So I'm supposed to be here. Ginny Ye would like to
- 18:04say something about Michael Jackson, Chinese magnical Jackson. Hi, everyone, I
- 18:11have a yellow face, but you know what, two billion people around the
- 18:18world share my skin color. They all love one man, Michael Jackson.
- 18:25Michael Jackson's humility brings us together. Bring a man you will see it later
- 18:32on. His name is w Jackson. He is a number one iss Jackson.
- 18:40I cannot just say impersonator, but Jackson personification of Jackson's spirit. One.
- 18:49Jackson learned his moonwalk by working in McDonald's in China, walking between the
- 19:00freezer and the frying pan. He's learned the moon and you know what that
- 19:08inspired the millions of the musicians. We cannot change the world, but we
- 19:15can't change our life, full and better. When we all are doing our
- 19:21better job, the world becomes a kinder place. Thank you, just a
- 19:29thank you very much. Jennie. All right, this is we like to
- 19:32actually hold this up. We're gonna this is from the moon. So anybody
- 19:37paid American taxes, You paid for this picture, all right, and this
- 19:41is uh, no boundaries, no borders. Actually we're kind of John Lennon
- 19:48this type of people, and so imagine piece Yoko gave this to us.
- 19:53Somebody's saying I should move this mic Oh oh you like this. This is
- 20:00NASA, This is from the moon. Okay, so you should get this
- 20:04for your children. This show is very important for children. That's what we're
- 20:08here for. Actually, I don't know if it happened, but I'll mention
- 20:12it. So Chancellor Banks, the Commissioner of the schools, Superintendent Samuels,
- 20:21possibly right now, might have. They were gonna try to pause all the
- 20:26schools in New York City, the schools take a moment of silence for peace.
- 20:30We are very close to making that happen. I'm not sure. If
- 20:33it did, that would be good news. It is happening in Chicago,
- 20:38and it is happening in Philadelphia. Something happened with this microphone. Maybe they
- 20:44lowered it. It sounds better, just like this, It's better. Okay.
- 20:51This guy, he's gonna you're gonna hear him. He's a guitar.
- 20:55Gentleman in audio says say all over to him. He just went out with
- 20:59Jennifer Lopez. Jennifer Lopez. Is that her name? Jay Lowell? Sorry,
- 21:03Okay, these are a guitar player and many other people like a list
- 21:08this big. You've got serious musicians coming up, and you've got serious people
- 21:12coming up, and we're all serious. We're serious about peace and that's the
- 21:18good news. Let's get back to heal our world. Michael Jackson's video right
- 21:22now, Let's go for it. Think about the generations and to say we
- 22:15want to make it a better place for our children and our children's children,
- 22:19so that they they they know it's a better world for them, think they
- 22:26can make it a better place. There's a place in your heart, and
- 22:38I know that it is not less rither than jump by. And if they
- 22:48try, you'll find there's no need to cry. The place fel there's no
- 22:56burd sorrow. There are ways to get here if you care enough for the
- 23:03living, make a little space, make a kill, and get a better
- 23:15place? Are you of me? And time? Few Olympics thereabout? If
- 23:26you can not make a bed place arga for me? They can on to
- 23:38know why. There's a love that cannot lie. Love be strong. You
- 23:45know he cares for joyful gain. We try, you'll see in this bliss
- 23:52we cannot feel every start existing and starting and feels better ways not enough folks
- 24:06growing world a better world? They get a better place? Are you of
- 24:21me? And then targ and prints thereby be they? You can not call
- 24:30it an extent place for you or me? And the dream we want see
- 24:38and wire with little joy the face and the wild one will shine again in
- 24:47grace. Then why he's strangling? He started to spin its soul those plane
- 24:56seat, This one's heavy, mean he does side it's so high, and
- 25:03our spirits never done in my heart? Do you are all my brothers?
- 25:12You know? Work no fear together? The real cry habitats said the name
- 25:19She's turned their sorts of diploshes. We really did you care enough for the
- 25:29bill? Make a little space to make a better places? Do the maybe
- 25:40get a better place? Are you crying of me? And the parcument rates?
- 25:48Thereby can the better play? Fuck you a funny? You think it
- 26:03better than they? And sid and based you take that place for you by
- 26:21mooting, thinking than place of you, a place of you and hoping so
- 27:00does anybody know that song? Isn't that a great song? Heal the world,
- 27:06And that's what today is all about, healing the world and healing mother
- 27:10Earth. It's a combination. Okay, all right, So to continue on
- 27:14here because we have so much to do today for this show, and I
- 27:19thank you once again for all you to be here. I believe they need
- 27:25to check some monitors kinds of things, but you do that, can I
- 27:29keep talking with Paul? All right? Good, So let me tell you
- 27:33what's going to happen here today. First of all, I want to thank
- 27:36some of the people that have been behind this event, the home group,
- 27:41which is going to appear in a few minutes. Yes, let's hear it
- 27:45for that, Michelle, our whole family and everybody else. And so this
- 27:51is all good. This is going to be so exciting. So and where's
- 27:56that Michelle there? He is over there? Yeah? Uh Michelle? Who
- 28:00went to Carnegie Hall and saw them? Yeah, all right, great,
- 28:06well it was well worth seeing who went to the cutting room and saw them?
- 28:10And they're still working. I think playing more times at the cutting room
- 28:12in the future here, so that would be great. And I suggest,
- 28:15why is that you hearing? Seeing? Watching is believing And they're gonna be
- 28:21on for a while now and then we're gonna be honor Dad. Mary Ann
- 28:23Williamson joined the stage as well, Michelle. I'm gonna give an intro here.
- 28:30You're gonna lead a dance, meditation and musical performance seamlessly combining serenity of
- 28:37meditation. I think I could use a gnome myself. Okay, they're home
- 28:42with they have three m's in their own Maria Michelle. Okay, it's all
- 28:51good, it's all working out. Kaboom, all right. A meditation and
- 28:56enjoy of dance promising are unique and transformed experience. Michelle will be joined by
- 29:03US presidential candidate. Let's hear it from Marion Williamson. Marianne is such a
- 29:11such a trooper, I'm gonna say right now. I was honored by a
- 29:17good friend of hers, Dennis Cascinach, many many years ago, to actually
- 29:23get an award. I don't talk about those things, but he flew from
- 29:29Cleveland to San Francisco to give me a humanitarian award, which probably I didn't
- 29:34deserve in any case, they gave it to me. But Marion and Dennis
- 29:41and the peace cabinet position, and well, she'll talk, maybe take a
- 29:44second or two more about that. Who wants in our You know, we
- 29:48have this cabinet, we have agriculture, you have military, they got all
- 29:52these cabinet positions. Who wants a cabinet position for peace? Peace? Simply
- 30:00peace, and let the peace cabinet position talk to the other countries with a
- 30:04peace cabinet position. I mean di supposedly that's the United Nations are helpful kind
- 30:11of thing, but they're not really, you know, the government fully.
- 30:15Let's get a peace cabinet position in the United States, in other countries,
- 30:19let them have a saw I'm gonna call it. I hope I'm not improperly
- 30:25saying that a pow wow, because I think we're gonna have some uh Indigenous
- 30:30people representation here over there, which we love. That's uh, that's the
- 30:36guts of this country, right, indigenous people, and I guess we're all
- 30:41indigenous people, especially if you look at this thing, right, this is
- 30:44it. We're all in it together, no boundaries, no borders in any
- 30:47case. Back to our story, Mary Williamson and Myron Uh well yeah,
- 30:52look at it. You gotta you got this dude, this guy, he's
- 30:56the musical director for Earth Wind and Fire. Let's give you my head.
- 31:02I'm sure you all don't like the music, and I'm sure you've never danced
- 31:06to the music of earth Wind and Fire. All right, So it's just
- 31:10the way it is in any case. If there's one group that can inspire
- 31:15an event to be an event, to be a wedding, to be a
- 31:18birthday, to be something special, it's Earth Wind and Fire. And we're
- 31:23honored to have this gentleman and some additional talent on the stage, which I'm
- 31:29sure Michelle will introduce. It's just a phenomenal opportunity for all of us and
- 31:37now, and we'll also have Juliana who's there. I don't know. I
- 31:42think we need to wait right until we get our sound set for you to
- 31:45do the meditation, okay. And so in the English and span who speaks
- 31:51Spanish out there? Anybody poquito? Okay? All right, it's important.
- 31:57All the languages are important. But what's this? What is the strongest language
- 32:04in the world? Which one? You got it? Love? Love is
- 32:10the answer. Love is the strongest thing. Love is stronger than gravity.
- 32:15I think he was an article in the New York Times, which used to
- 32:19be right down the street over here. We had our TV studio right here
- 32:22where Reuters is for many years. And this is I think somebody calls this
- 32:28Times Square. Oh that Paul, he's a smart guy. Yeah, so
- 32:31Times Times New York Times Square because the one Time Square building which is behind
- 32:37us, right, that's where they dropped the ball. So if we dropped
- 32:43the ball from eleven to twelve and they dropped the ball right at twelve midnight,
- 32:49Okay, you should know. I think this might be one of the
- 32:52biggest shows in Times Square that the beautiful Parks Department for twenty one years has
- 32:59allowed us to do along with the Times Square Alliance City of New York.
- 33:02They're parks and the Times Square Alliance to allow this here in this city is
- 33:08you can't. I mean, this is a beautiful This is the busiest park
- 33:12in the United States. This might be the busiest this area might be four
- 33:16hundred thousand people a day come through this park. Okay, so it's quite
- 33:22serious. So Juliana actually she's an esteem medic. Are you guys ready,
- 33:30he's got to hear it? Okay, okay, you're a meditation teacher.
- 33:35Julian's right, come out just to let us sorry, they can see you,
- 33:37all right, see meditation known for her work. Yeah, come onment,
- 33:44we'll share a meditation in Spanish and English. Do you need to share
- 33:46that meditation in Spanish and English and then the group performs. Or could you
- 33:51even do that right now? No? Could you because they're they're still doing
- 33:55their audio. But could you do a meditation? But do they all need
- 34:00the whole group needs to come out? You got it? Okay, all
- 34:06right, we're gonna try to make this work. It's a piano. Okay,
- 34:21I think we need a few more minutes. Actually a few more minutes.
- 34:24Yeah, okay, a few more minutes. Hello, Rose, this
- 34:28is one of the most famous photographers in New York City right here, all
- 34:31right, let's hear it for Rose. All right, she doesn't miss event.
- 34:36She's like, uh like, uh uh. I compare people. I
- 34:40have Austin in the back, I got Purna and our whole crew. She's
- 34:45like Lou Garrick. Lou Garrick was known as the Iron Man. She's an
- 34:49iron woman. So whoever knew the New York Yankees. You had a guy
- 34:54named Babe Ruth, and then you Derek, and Lou Garrett was the iron
- 35:00He never missed the game, no matter how he felt, he never missed
- 35:04the game. So Roses like that. We have a lot of people connected
- 35:07to this show, right here right now that I want to thank. And
- 35:10we have some sponsors or people that care about what we're doing. Uh in
- 35:16the battery tour, gm BNPTE Parabise, are you here? Yale very large
- 35:23made the largest bank in Europe. Uh, They're they're helping us make this
- 35:29all happen. Play a Betty supply this with with food. We have this
- 35:35smart flower over here, and uh it's all good. Well, geez,
- 35:39we don't hear from Leonardo DiCaprio yet or Peter Yarrow, Peter, Peter,
- 35:45Paul Mary. He's gonna say, Jesse Colin young things come on, everybody,
- 35:51Let's get together, Jane goodall and then let's see where we're gonna go.
- 35:57Then we're gonna kind of get to uh A, why all right,
- 36:00we're doing well with the time so far. I thank you for that piano
- 36:07background, so it's kind of nurse. I was gonna play the piano too,
- 36:10but I'm not gonna. I got another page like to play. So
- 36:16as soon as we get the sound check sound working, then I think we're
- 36:22gonna put the OME group on. All right, So am I forgetting anything?
- 36:29Any questions? Anybody have any questions about International Day A piece. How
- 36:40many people gonna watch the show right here, right now? First of all,
- 36:45I didn't count them at this moment, but I don't know the potential.
- 36:51Well, let's put it this way. A few things. First of
- 36:52all, they say one point six billion people know about the International Day A
- 36:57piece. According to McKenzie, code, Unified some years ago was able to
- 37:01get two billion views, and the un has documented that where's Unify? Is
- 37:08it like? You're right here? Oh? There you are, Tammy?
- 37:10Okay, So I don't know how many we're going to get right now,
- 37:15but I know it is going out to a lot of people. And the
- 37:17important thing is a lot of people are important, but every one person is
- 37:23important as a lot of people. It's all about we are all in it
- 37:27together. It's all about one home. I think all means one home.
- 37:32Shanty shanti ome means one How are we doing air with the souven still tweaking
- 37:39away here? See, it's not easy to do a show. I'll tell
- 37:45you that. There's a lot of technolit When I started at CBS Television fifty
- 37:50seventh Street down on eleventh Avenue, it's still there. When I started there,
- 37:54they showed me one thing in television business. You see all these monitors
- 38:00and you see you watch television at home, what it boils down to.
- 38:05It's a lot of wires and circuits and electricity, and without that you can
- 38:10produce the show. Okay, let me tell you what else. We're gonna
- 38:15have some artists. We're gonna have Elvis Presley here, Elton John, Marvin
- 38:21Gay, Madonna. Those are personality beautiful singers, entertainers, not the real
- 38:28people, but you're gonna think they are by far. Hugga planet is here.
- 38:32See all these Hugga planets that's been up in a spaceship that's going around
- 38:37the moon. That I say, Marvin Gaye, Indigo Twins. Well,
- 38:45then we're gonna have a section in the show with people that have been working
- 38:47on the Peace Day event for over twenty years, with Rick Olphick, Andrew
- 38:53Cain, n Ashley, Reverence wos Anabasta, Rica, James Cannings Anna Modules.
- 39:01Do you see the beautiful artwork back there around the smart Flower. Those
- 39:06are all done by children. You call those anti modules and they're from the
- 39:10Barrett Foundation. They're really beautiful and they're all done by children, which is
- 39:17a great thing. And we have Susanne. We have our peace lights going
- 39:22on. I think right over there. We'll show some more of that later.
- 39:27And then I didn't mention what so Tammy we'll get up and she'll talk
- 39:32about a section called peace in Earth History, a Legacy, And we have
- 39:37a group of people with Joe Despenser, Sister, Jenna ben Fower, David
- 39:44Gershan, Eminence, Shiplapo g building a peace Sanctuary, Jonathan Granoff Global Security,
- 39:52Paul McCartney, Sir Paul McCartney's gonna say something, Oprah Winfrey's gonna say
- 39:58something, Deepak chop will say something, deep Dion Warwick will say something.
- 40:04I mean, there's so many people connected to this show. And then later
- 40:07on we're gonna have a moment of silence for Russia and Ukraine, and Katya
- 40:14Greneva, who performs at Carnegie Hall as well as Michelle Bushev Oscar will play
- 40:21the piano, classical music, Georgia Fumant's like Opera singer sings with Bocelli,
- 40:30show, Pierre Doctor leevery Global Vision and Peace, Sophie Kiani, and then
- 40:37we have the uncut. So I'm telling you the whole show kind of in
- 40:42the process of waiting until we get the sound right here uncut, protect your
- 40:45heart. The graphics it's called let lester up media. We'll have a group
- 40:55Chris and Teb I don't know here yet. I don't know was that them?
- 41:04And v f e A Stevie Wonder. We'll say something towards the closing.
- 41:13Shakira will sing Imagine. We'll all come on the stage sing Imagine,
- 41:20and then we will end the whole show singing a song from Michelle called One
- 41:29a United Finale, and then Annie from the Broadway show will sing tomorrow.
- 41:35So that's the whole show. I hope we have the sound under condition.
- 41:38Why don't we have Mary Anne Williamson talk right now? Mary Ann, you
- 41:43come up here? All right? Marion either side Mary and Williamson's gonna come
- 41:50up. I should have not talked so much. I should have asked Marian
- 41:53to come up about six days ago. All right. In any case,
- 41:58that's what we're gonna do at this moment. Thank you, Hello, everybody,
- 42:09How are you? How are you hi? It's wonderful to be here
- 42:22with you, particularly in the middle of Climate Week, where so many people
- 42:25are gathered from all over the world dedicated to the yearning that all of us
- 42:31feel in our hearts to repair a very broken world. And I think that
- 42:38this is a sobering moment, not only in terms of the condition of the
- 42:44earth, but certainly in terms of war and peace. You know, when
- 42:49I was growing up, and I know that there are many people gathered here
- 42:53who understand what I'm saying, because you are near my age. When we
- 42:59talked about a peace movement, we were speaking specifically anti Vietnam war. We
- 43:07recognize that you can't have a peace movement that fails to recognize the wars that
- 43:14are going on. And when this spiritually based peace movement began several decades ago
- 43:21and I was here, it was this beautiful celebration of peace. But I'm
- 43:27afraid that what's happening today is that the real war machine, both in this
- 43:34country and on this planet, does not care how much we sing, does
- 43:42not care how much we sing about peace, and does not care how much
- 43:45we gather to talk about peace. And I'm running for President of the United
- 43:51States because I've come to realize that we need to get real, and we
- 43:55need to get down, and we need to challenge, and we need to
- 44:00confront the fact that there are huge, gargantuan powers in this country and in
- 44:06around the world. They are backed by tremendous force. They are backed by
- 44:10the force of the defense industry called the military industrial complex in the United States,
- 44:15the military industrial complex has its clutches and its power no matter who the
- 44:21president is, whether it's a Democrat or a Republican, they don't care how
- 44:24much we sing. They don't care how much young people of the world gather
- 44:30to to protest, to protest our environmental conditions, whether it has to do
- 44:37with insurance companies or pharmaceutical companies, whether it has to do with big agricultural
- 44:43companies or big food companies, whether it has to do with chemical companies,
- 44:46or whether it has to do with gun manufacturers, whether it has to do
- 44:51with big oil companies, or it has to do with defense contractors. At
- 44:55this point, they are a force which by which corporations run the world.
- 45:02And as long as corporations make as much money as they now do on the
- 45:07ways of war, then it will be very difficult for us to create peace
- 45:13in the world. And I know that's very difficult for those of us who
- 45:16just want to make it all very spiritual. But in every great religious system
- 45:22of the world. You know, there was a crucifixion before there was a
- 45:24resurrection. There was the slavery of the Israelites by Pharaoh in Egypt, before
- 45:30there was the journey to the Promised Land. You can't skip the crucifixion and
- 45:36go right to the resurrection. That's not transcendence, that's denial. And so
- 45:45and so, I hope that all of us here who are willing on days
- 45:49like today to sing for peace, to pray for peace, to meditate for
- 45:53peace, and to stand for peace, know that the way the world is
- 45:58right now, to be very with you, it's going to take a little
- 46:01more than that. Hate is politicized in this country, and now love must
- 46:07become politicized. Yes, yes, bigotry is politicized in this country, and
- 46:14now love must become politicized. Racism and homophobia and anti Semitism, the worst
- 46:21aspects of the American character, the worst aspects of the human character, have
- 46:25now taken political form in this country in ways that we have not seen in
- 46:30a very long time. This is not about a looming threat. This is
- 46:35about a present reality. This is about black people getting shot at dollar stores.
- 46:39This is about Jewish people getting shot at synagogues. This is about transgender
- 46:45Americans being under threat, and these are wars. This is violence. But
- 46:51we know, as Martin Luther King said, there is negative peace and there
- 46:54is positive peace. Negative piece, he said, is where there's no outright
- 46:59conflict, there's only underlying tension and anxiety. And there is so much underlying
- 47:04tension and anxiety in this country and in this world today. He said,
- 47:08peace is a positive peace can only be predicated on justice and brotherhood. We
- 47:14must answer murder. We must answer a war machine. We must answer violence.
- 47:21We have to do more than sing everybody. We have to do more
- 47:23than meditate. We need to do more than talk about it. We've been
- 47:27talking about it for all these years, and I acknowledge the fact that so
- 47:30many of us have been talking about it. I acknowledge the fact that so
- 47:34many of us have been meditating about it. I acknowledge the fact that so
- 47:37many of us have been praying for it. And in my belief system,
- 47:40right now, we need to tow the next step. It's gonna take some
- 47:44courage, and it's gonna take some bravery, and it's gonna be taking to
- 47:47enough of us knowing, Oh the gay this is real now. No more
- 47:52men acting like little boys, no more women acting like little girls. No
- 47:55more pretending that this isn't something as serious as well what our ancestors stood for.
- 48:01And I don't want to hear one more of my colleagues on my friends
- 48:06who tell me the whole thing is traumatizing. People say to me, oh,
- 48:08Marian, if you actually look at what's happening with the war machine,
- 48:12it's traumatizing. Do you think that the people who walked across the bridge at
- 48:15Selma were not traumatized. They didn't know if they were gonna bring out the
- 48:20dogs, They didn't know if they were gonna bring out the hoses, They
- 48:22didn't know if they were gonna bring out the bullets. Ladies and gentlemen and
- 48:27everyone else. This is my message that I believe we all have to share
- 48:30with each other now. When this country was founded, fifty six men signed
- 48:37the document, the Declaration of Independence, which created a tremendous possibility for human
- 48:45self actualization. But forty one of those men were slave owners. And that
- 48:51dichotomy is America's story. We have always been both, and we have always
- 48:57been those whose hearts were blazed as our hearts or blaze here today with the
- 49:01possibilities of what this country could mean, a free society in which everyone can
- 49:07flourish, in which everyone has a shot at it. But we have also
- 49:10been from the very beginning filled with forces who, for their own ideological and
- 49:16or financial purposes, had no intention whatsoever of allowing those forces to be actualized.
- 49:25And they have proven from the beginning with the forces of slavery and unto
- 49:30every generation, whether it was the oppression of black people or the oppression of
- 49:35women, whether it was the oppression of labor, or the oppression now of
- 49:38other species on the earth itself, they have proven that you really want peace
- 49:45on earth? Oh really you want peace on earth? If that undercuts their
- 49:51corporate profit bottom line, they have no intention of seeing peace on earth.
- 49:55And that is why we want war in Vietnam, and that is why we
- 50:00were at war in Iraq, and that is why we stayed so much too
- 50:04long, so much too long in Afghanistan. And so at this point we
- 50:09have to do more than proclaim peace. We have to be willing to in
- 50:14a very mature way, confront the forces of war, and those forces of
- 50:20war, those forces of war, which as I said, represent tremendous financial
- 50:25interests in this country, forces which I don't care if it's been a democratic
- 50:30president or a Republican president. They line up. You ask my opinion,
- 50:35Well, then we need a new president. We need to cut the US
- 50:39defense budget by at least ten percent. I think we could cut it by
- 50:44twenty percent. We need to remember what we all know to be true.
- 50:49These people have been telling us for decades that we need to spend so much
- 50:52money on defense because that's our national security. Excuse me, we have so
- 50:59been played. Nobody here thinks the Iraq War made us more secure. Nobody
- 51:05thinks those last twenty years in Afghanistan made us more secure. And nobody who
- 51:09is thinking about it thinks that those seven hundred and fifty military installations that the
- 51:15United States has in eighty countries around the world are making us more secure.
- 51:20They has all of those things have squandered our moral authority, They have squandered
- 51:23our military respect. And there are too many people in the world who,
- 51:29when the United States talks about itself as a conduit of peace and democracy,
- 51:34simply roll their eyes. So for those of us who are proclaiming peace,
- 51:38I asked that you join with me and join with all the other millions of
- 51:43people in this country who realize that it is time now for the people to
- 51:47intervene. That system doesn't care that we sing, they don't care that we
- 51:53meditate, and at this point they don't care that we march, and it
- 51:58is time that we show them act. Actually we care, and we are
- 52:02the people. This country was to be of, as Abraham Lincoln said,
- 52:07a government of the people, by the people, and for the people,
- 52:12not a government of the corporations, by the corporations and for the corporations,
- 52:17which it has now become. And when it comes to warn peace, those
- 52:22corporations are called Wraitheon, and our Secretary of Defense is a former board member
- 52:28at Wratheon. We're not supposed to notice. They think we're so distracted,
- 52:32we're not looking, because too many cases we are and its corporations like North
- 52:37Grumman and its corporations like Boeing. In the Iraq War, millions died around
- 52:44the world, and thousands of our own soldiers died, and we squandered trillions
- 52:51of dollars. But this will not stop unless we stop it. It is
- 52:55time for us non violently and lovingly and elegantly and beautifully in as peaceful and
- 53:06loving, as wonderful a way as possible, make it very clear this shit
- 53:12needs to stop. And so I ask you to join with me. And
- 53:19of course they'll say we're a long shot. Of course they say that.
- 53:22Of course they'll say, oh, this is friends, this is going too
- 53:24far. But I hope that you will remember that we on this, on
- 53:30this everybody on this stage today and everybody who has gathered. You heard Ringo
- 53:35Starr, you heard Michael Douglas. This is the yearning of the people of
- 53:38the world. The people of the world don't want endless war, and the
- 53:44last thing the United States should be is a purveyor of an endless war machine.
- 53:49And you and I have a tremendous responsibility, those of us who are
- 53:52American citizens. We are the keepers of a dream, and that dream should
- 53:57be human possibility that does not include endless war. And I'm not saying that
- 54:01the military never has an appropriate use at all. In fact, I support
- 54:06appropriate support of Ukraine. I'm not saying I'm not a pacifist. All I'm
- 54:10saying is that when war serves no other purpose, that a bottom line corporate
- 54:15profits for US multinational corporation. Something is very very wrong, and that which
- 54:21is very very wrong is now baked into the cake. And so we need
- 54:25to look at war and peace the way we look at health and sickness.
- 54:30Health is not the absence of sickness. Sickness is the absence of health.
- 54:36We have to proactively create health. We can't just try to treat sickness.
- 54:40And we need to proactively create peace. You can't just not create peace and
- 54:46then just wait for violence to come and then think if you put enough people
- 54:51in prison, or you put enough bombs on enough countries that you have treated
- 54:54it. Ladies and gentlemen and everyone else, we have to look at what
- 54:59a vice society we are. We will not have peace until we commit to
- 55:02becoming non violent. Our food policies are violent, a prison industrial complex is
- 55:12violent, our criminal justice system is violent. Our environmental policies are violent.
- 55:19And so on this day, let's commit to peace. Let's commit to getting
- 55:22down, let's commit to being real. Yes, let's meditate. Yes,
- 55:28let's pray. God knows I've spent my life saying it and believing it,
- 55:31and I believe it now, but this is what I do. Suggest.
- 55:35Let's pray in the morning and kick ass in the afternoon. It is time.
- 55:44Our ancestors pushed back against slavery with abolition, and they pushed back against
- 55:50the institutional suppression of women with the women Suffrageist movement and the Nineteenth Amendment.
- 55:55They push back against the Gilded Age with the establishment of the labor movement.
- 56:00They push back against segregation with the civil rights movement. It is our turn
- 56:06now. They had to recognize what was wrong before they could proclaim what was
- 56:12right. And the very virtue, the meaning, the prayers, the courage,
- 56:16the love that infused those movements led them to success. As I said
- 56:22before, it's our turn now. Electing a president of the United States who
- 56:27sees it this way is not the only answer, but it's a big part
- 56:30of the answer. And if you believe that a presidential campaign which is led
- 56:36by someone who is laying it down the way we're laying it down today is
- 56:40of meaning, I hope you will support me. I hope you will go
- 56:44to twenty twenty four Maryanne twenty twenty four dot com. I hope you will
- 56:49proclaim it. I hope you will recognize how busy they are trying to character
- 56:53assassinate anybody who says anything different. This is real, everybody, This is
- 56:59serious time. Now it is time for us to show up as our ancestors
- 57:04showed up in honor of our ancestors and in dedication to our great great grandchildren.
- 57:09Like I said, pray in the morning, kick ass in the afternoon.
- 57:13Thank you, Thank you so much to Marian Williamson, giving up to
- 57:22Marian. Now we wait a few minutes to switch the battery and to some
- 57:39shack, and after we will sing for each of you. You want to
- 57:44sing, you want to dance with this guy, you will sing two minutes
- 57:50with Sunshank and we are with you. Thank everybody for staying with us.
- 57:55Where we're doing something that has never been done. And what that is.
- 58:00We're broadcasting a six hour broadcast with solar power. Okay, And so the
- 58:09reality of the needs of electricity is that almost all electrical devices need power.
- 58:20The screen takes a lot of power, the microphones take a lot of power,
- 58:24and our phones take a lot of power. So we're becoming a battery
- 58:30world, which has its good things and bad things. And behind you and
- 58:35a y younger beyond after our good friends here at home. Are you ready
- 58:39checking okay, So where the International Day of Peace. We're gonna have a

- 59:55is ready. Okay, so let's introduce. Let's introduce for the meditation Juliana
- 1:00:04Clinkert. Juliana Clinkurt is a meditation teacher in Los Angeles dedicated for the prisoners
- 1:00:14of Los Angeles and with the meditation of Julianna for ten years, there is
- 1:00:22zero suicide for the prisoners of Los Angeles, zero suicide for the prisoners of
- 1:00:30LA with the meditation of Juliana. Please welcome Juliana clinker And when we talk
- 1:00:42about meditation, what is a better place to do this than in one of
- 1:00:49the most busy places of the world. Times were and this both thank you.
- 1:01:00This moment that we are calling past the world for peace, we are
- 1:01:06going to use it right now to bring a moment of peace to each of
- 1:01:13us, because peace starts from ourself. At the moment that we call our
- 1:01:21mind, we are more able to be kind to the people around us.
- 1:01:29So what is a good way to meditate to feel? But during two minutes
- 1:01:38we are going to feel like the sky accompany me. During this minute,
- 1:01:47if you wish to close your eyes and feel your mind with all the clarity
- 1:02:02of the blues child, breathing all these blues us in your mind an excel
- 1:02:24sending the clarity of the bluestar in a free cell of your body. And
- 1:02:45one second we can do the same, but I will guide it in a

- 1:03:39second to look up to this sky, beyond the stream, beyond all the
- 1:03:52images that we can see, we can feel the blue sky, and we
- 1:04:02can take this afternoon to feel that our mind. It's a mirror of the
- 1:04:14bluest sky. And with this sensation of clarity in our minds, we can
- 1:04:28enjoy the menacing voice of Michelle Pascal that is coming now on a stage to
- 1:04:39be with us, not only quiet our minds, but to be good our
- 1:04:46energy, to done and to relax, both always together. So let's give

- 1:44:34on the stage as well as yourselves for being so involved with the International day
- 1:44:41piece in ecology. Thank you all. Now, these guys just getting us
- 1:44:45started. Okay, we're the next group. So what we're going to do
- 1:44:51now is to just so we're gonna have to do a sound check for the
- 1:44:58A. Y Young and his to his group. And let me just say,
- 1:45:02with the type of energy you just heard here, you're going to hear
- 1:45:05the same type of peace and love energy again because Ay is that same kind
- 1:45:13of talent and his group is that same kind of talent. And if you
- 1:45:17look all around here, one of the special outreach that Ay does, and
- 1:45:24if you go back there to the street on forty sixth Street, you'll see
- 1:45:29something called the Battery Tour truck. Ay has done eight hundred concerts with battery
- 1:45:38powered. Let's hear it for that. That's very serious. Eight hundred concerts,
- 1:45:43Okay, and this gentleman can really perform. In addition to being extremely
- 1:45:49concerned about Mother Earth to the degree he is the only American that the United
- 1:45:55Nations has agreed to be a Young Youth Ambassador. So for the stig uh
- 1:46:06sustainable development goals and if you see here, I think Ay will probably do
- 1:46:12that. Hey, y, get on stage so we can uh do with
- 1:46:15this sound check? Okay, check tick check check check check check check check
- 1:46:19check. So uh, it's very exciting. We're running a little behind,
- 1:46:25an hour behind, because we took some initial time to organize everything. Uh,
- 1:46:31but we we've got it all together now, so it's very exciting.
- 1:46:39Let me tell you what who else and what else is going to happen?
- 1:46:50Okay, let me let me say who still will be coming to the show?
- 1:46:57I wonder can we while they're doing a sound check? I don't know
- 1:47:00if that's possible, check and just make sure things are needed? Can we
- 1:47:08play a video or while you're doing that, we'll put a video with sound
- 1:47:15Is that possible? Can we do that? You guys? Per Oh?
- 1:47:27I'll tell you, hey, Rob, if we can play a video while
- 1:47:36they're doing this sound check? I don't know, what do you think I
- 1:47:47play a video? Okay, so listen, Rob, if you can play
- 1:47:54a video, I would like you to play number fifteen, Doctor Jane Goodall
- 1:48:03all right, we're going to see if we can play a video. Wow,
- 1:48:06this is all happening? Do we still have a lot of show?
- 1:48:15I think nature this tree stands as a as a symbol of what nature and
- 1:48:26us can do together to heal the world. But we've got to work much
- 1:48:30harder. We must respect each other, no matter what country, religion,
- 1:48:34or culture. But we must respect the natural world. And unless we can
- 1:48:41interact better with the natural world in more harmony, world peace will be impossible.
- 1:48:45Because if you lose water, if the climate changes, if the whole
- 1:48:50world is polluted, how can there be peace between men? We respect the
- 1:48:56climate, how can we have peace? Okay, all right, we're still
- 1:49:01Let's go to Leonardo DiCaprio. Everybody likes Leonardo. Everybody likes Jane. So
- 1:49:08number sixteen, let's go with Leonardo DiCaprio. The word piece has many possible
- 1:49:15meanings, and the Messenger of Peace program has been vital to addressing some of
- 1:49:19the most pressing challenges of our time, head on poverty, disease, human
- 1:49:27suffering, issues which defy the very concept of peace. Okay, thank you,
- 1:49:31Leonardo. Okay, all right, let's go to Peter Yarro Peter Yarrow
- 1:49:36Number seventeen, Peter Paul and Mary. Peter Paul and Mary, let's go
- 1:49:43to Peter Yarro, my verry, can we beat the guitar? Thank you?
- 1:49:54Thanks we oh someday? Okay, thank you, Peter Yarrow. Let's
- 1:50:15give good prayers to Peter Yargo. Okay, Peter Paul and Mary true true
- 1:50:20blowing in the wind, puff the magic dragon? What else could you ask
- 1:50:26for? All right, here's a classic, a classic by the Young Bloods
- 1:50:30by Jesse Colin Young Get together, roll number eighteen. My friends, there
- 1:50:36is no peace without love. Love is the way is for a song.
- 1:50:54We see see what he would doe? We can make the mountain string on
- 1:51:09at the age just cry for the bird is song meen. We may not
- 1:51:21know why. Come on, people, have smile on your broth abode and
- 1:51:32get to do the child up one another ride Now if you hear a song
- 1:51:48we sing, you have an stand. That's called the cheet to love am
- 1:52:00feel all man I tramer hand right, just one key hunt them boom,
- 1:52:15it's that she will come in. Come on, people, not rough,
- 1:52:24taking a smile, Holy rother, everybody can get you again. Try to

- 1:52:48said, come on, people have smile, joy everybody get together, try
- 1:52:57to love wanted nothing right now, right right now? All right, Jesse
- 1:53:14Collen Young, I better hand for all these people so far. Come on,
- 1:53:17Leonardo, doctor Jane Goodall, Peter Yarrow, Leonardo, all right,
- 1:53:24magnificent special trailer for woodstuff for free freedom. Put a little love in you.
- 1:53:39You see it's scaring lady. Please don't have a take Put a little
- 1:53:45luck for you. Freedo freedom, freedom sometimes like all come. It was
- 1:54:16a lot more than drug, sex and rock and roll. It was about
- 1:54:18a nation coming together for three days around music in a peaceful way. And
- 1:54:24we're giving that message to the next generation so that don't understand the importance of
- 1:54:28working together for change, involvement or r own mind. And my feeling is
- 1:54:32that what is happening in this twentieth anniversary is in fact clarity of the issue,
- 1:54:39clarity of the past, clarity of what's really stood for. And it's
- 1:54:43all going to the younger generation. Whether the media knows it or matter,
- 1:54:45whether we know or not, that's what's looking at it. We are far
- 1:54:49far, far far ahead of our times in terms of getting over the home,
- 1:54:54in terms of having the actual material. Who's going to change? At
- 1:54:57which? All the young people today. Addition to the nineteen eight nine twentieth
- 1:55:01anniversary celebration, our movie has included some of those media icons of everyday sitizens
- 1:55:08that represent peace, love and vote. You've been no long long and all
- 1:55:13living the little daughter. It's been a long in Betrea. We've come to
- 1:55:25none. Oh man, oh man by man, Oh bad man, Oh
- 1:56:29bad man, Oh boy, oh moody money bay, oh many man,
- 1:57:21oh many many, money, your money, ben mane, oh my man,
- 1:57:56oh my my, oh my name pace. All I can say today,
- 1:58:42all I can think, all I can see be food, Oh my name
