- 0:14it, good to talk with you. And we've got so much great stuff
- 0:17to get to this morning on the program. Of course, that's some great
- 0:20stuff going on at the Healthy Place as always, will talk with Tim about
- 0:23that. Don't forget as well. Phone lines they are open to you right
- 0:27now at six O eight three two one thirteen ten. That's six so eight
- 0:31three two one thirteen ten will get you on the air with Tim O'Brien from
- 0:35the Healthy Place and Tim. When folks call in with their great question,
- 0:38not only do they get some great answers and some great conversation, you also
- 0:42hook them up, don't you twenty five dollars gift card just as a thank
- 0:46you for calling in. It really helps my show for a couple of reasons.
- 0:50One, it shows what our army of wellness consultants do every single day.
- 0:54You know, we have hundreds of people come into our three stores in
- 0:57Madison. They ask honest questions about themselves. A loved one on what natural
- 1:02alternatives are working for their specific concern or issue. And number two, there's
- 1:07other people listening right now that likely have the same issue that you do,
- 1:11or a loved one that has it, so you calling in helps that person.
- 1:15So now's a good time to call six eight three two one thirteen ten.
- 1:18At six eight three two one thirteen ten, we'll get you on the
- 1:21air with Tim O'Brien from The Healthy Place speaking up. The Healthy Place mentioned,
- 1:23of course three area locations Fitchburg, westside of Madison, and Son Prairie
- 1:27and online at find your Healthy Place dot com. That's fine your Healthy Place
- 1:34dot com and Tim we're talking earlier this morning, I hear Madison Metro schools
- 1:38had some bus issues where kids were spending hours in some cases on a bus,
- 1:42and I'm just thinking, I know, I feel so horrible for him,
- 1:47and I'm thinking a couple of things. One, I feel for that
- 1:49bus driver, but I'm also thinking about this this tube full of jermy kids
- 1:53just spending hours and hours together, and they're all gonna go home to mom,
- 1:59dad, I'm on Grandpa carrying gosh knows what. And it's an important
- 2:02time a year to be thinking about, really reinforcing in whether you're kiddo or
- 2:07grandkiddo's taking a school of bus, you're going to be spending more time around
- 2:09friends and family indoors. It's a good time to be thinking about fortifying your
- 2:14immune system, isn't it. Absolutely? Absolutely. This is the time of
- 2:17the year where we're starting to get inside a little bit more and there's more
- 2:22of that sealed tube going on between families, and families can be so generous
- 2:28with each other when it comes to germs. So there's a few things I
- 2:30highlight every time the conversation comes up. There is nature's natural antibiotic, which
- 2:37is collidal silver powerhouse, very very cool, how this ten parts per million
- 2:44in a collidal silver works to get rid of bacteria, strengthen the immune system,
- 2:50come against infection, viruses, etc. And then the next I always
- 2:54bring up is probiotics. Eighty percent If you don't know this, eighty percent
- 3:00of your immune system is controlled in your gut. So a probiotic to help
- 3:05win the race because you're good and bad bacteria are always in a race which
- 3:09everyone's winning decides the state and the health of the rest of your body.
- 3:13So you want the good guys to win. We have about four pounds of
- 3:16bacteria in the body, and there's good bacteria, there's bad bacteria. You
- 3:21want the good guys to win, and so a probiotic can be great for
- 3:24the kiddos. And all of these have a kiddo option or adult option.
- 3:28You can go on our website check out Immune Bundle and that'll be great bundles
- 3:32for adults and kiddos. The third thing I always bring up is Elderberry.
- 3:37Elderberry has a plethora of science and clinical trials. One that I cite often
- 3:42is out of the University of Sydney. They discovered a twenty twenty actually during
- 3:46COVID that the elderberry strengthen the cell, preventing virus's ability to enter into a
- 3:53cell. So that was step one. That was a pretty cool confirmation of
- 3:58what we had believed to that in addition though lessening the duration and severity of
- 4:03virus's Elderberry Boom is my favorite product that contains a strong amount of the elderberry
- 4:10and active compounds within, including some of the vitamins like vitamin D and vitamin
- 4:15C and zinc mineral that are powerful for the immune system. So yes,
- 4:18as you are out there. Think about your immune system, think about your
- 4:21loved ones, immune systems, your kiddos, your family. Every day there's
- 4:26a regiment in our house, like take your stuff. Hey, one of
- 4:29the thanks too. I gotta ask you about Tim And we've got some emails
- 4:30and of course we've got phone calls as well. Six O three two one

- 4:53one thirteen ten. Was talking with Kevin the last segment about taking care of
- 4:57trees and of course getting ready for the fall and winter. And I know
- 5:00we've got a number of folks who are so dang lucky they spend the winter
- 5:03months in warmer climates. And one of the great things about the Healthy Places
- 5:08for folks that are getting into the stores and chatting with your wellness consultant that
- 5:13the location wellness consultants at the location of the healthy place. You can take
- 5:16that with you. You can ship, of course, ship all across the

- 5:34doesn't mean you have to leave all those great benefits behind. That's exactly right,
- 5:40you know. And life is a journey, and life is a gift.
- 5:43And our health can go up and down and back and forth, and
- 5:46same with our loved ones. And it can be an intense process to discover
- 5:51the best thing to do. And so information is what we love. We
- 5:55love education. We love getting the word out on what works for this.
- 5:59You know, we do not pretend to be doctors or pharmacists. You know,
- 6:02sometimes we can get in the way of medical professionals if we come on
- 6:08too strong with this or that. So we point, hey, work with
- 6:11your medical professional. We want to be on your team. And you need
- 6:14education. You need to be come take your seward up and become the CEO

- 6:34in my gut. I have digestive issues. What is the natural world using
- 6:39when it comes to supplements for inflammation in the gut. That's what we're good
- 6:43at. We're good at knowing what's working in our community. We work with

- 8:03lines are open right now four yet six eight three two one thirteen ten.
- 8:07That's three two one thirteen ten. Into the phone lines we go and Sally
- 8:11joins us Sally, Welcome to the program. You're on the air with Tim
- 8:13O'Brien from The Healthy Place. Hey good Morton, Sally, how are you.
- 8:16I'm good? Thank you good. Yeah. About kombucha, Yeah,
- 8:22so I heard about it this summer and I've purchased some. It's says raw
- 8:31you know, nine billion living probiotics. Is it worth the hype? Is
- 8:35it worth purchasing? Yeah, you know, it really is. There's there's
- 8:41well, there's a few different ways. So I like kembucha. I drink
- 8:45it, you know, time to time. What I'm super faithful on is
- 8:48taking a probiotics. So the idea is the live bacteria in these foods,
- 8:52you know, kombucha, yogurt, that have the live bacteria. So incorporating
- 8:56that into a part of your diet is powerful. Like I said earlier,
- 9:00there's a race between good and bad bacteria in every way we can and we
- 9:03want to strengthen the good guys to beat the bad guys. So kombucha is
- 9:09a great option for that. You know, kombucha in general at the gut
- 9:11health, Antioxiden benefits heart health. There's some clinicals demonstrating that it helps LDL
- 9:18and HGL cholesterol levels, liver health, anti cancer. There's some some polyphenols
- 9:24in kombucha that that have some good science reason to believe. Hey, that's
- 9:28anti cancer, bacteria, mental health, joint health. I mean, there's
- 9:31a variety of benefits that can come from drinking kombucha. I do think it's
- 9:35worth the hype. Is it? Is it a cure? All know?
- 9:39You know, is diet and exercise essential, you know a healthy guess is
- 9:43the rest of your diet important? Yes, you know, you don't want
- 9:46to put too much weight on the kombucha. But I see where you're coming
- 9:48from and what question you're asking, and I'd give a high five to drinking
- 9:52kombucha on a regular basis, and then I would take a moment to add
- 9:56that I love it when anyone in our community takes a biotic on a daily
- 10:01basis. You know, something that's at least twenty five billion in a capsule.
- 10:05And prebiotics, sally, are just as important as probiotics. You know,
- 10:09if you picture a rainforests that the big trees or your probiotics. The
- 10:13rain is the prebiotics. The rain to the rainforest that helps the trees grow.
- 10:16So prebiotics work kind of like that rain. So a good quality probiotic
- 10:22in a capsule will have both the probiotics and the prebiotics. And my personal
- 10:26favorite probiotic is one called Great Guts by Lively Vitamin co and it has the
- 10:33probiotics, it has the prebiotics, and then it also has another strain of
- 10:37healthy bacteria called sacrimics Billardi that helps with leaky gut and inflammation in the gut
- 10:43which most people have. It helps ibs. So all that to say,
- 10:48healthy bacteria is great and the more you can get in your daily the better.
- 10:52So are you saying does not have that prebiotic right? Yeah? There
- 10:58might be some added in certain but I have the ones I have seen do
- 11:01not have the prebiotics and those work as such a cool team. So if
- 11:05if you can take capsule of probiotics and that has the prebiotics too, that
- 11:11will be much more benefit to you. Fantastic questions, Sally, Thank you
- 11:15for the call and always love the calls and questions. And did I hear
- 11:18you right? Did you say did you say did you use the word billion
- 11:20when you were talking about counts these things? That is pretty that is pretty
- 11:28amazing though, as well as we talk about you know things like stronger immunity,
- 11:31good digestion, and of course you know you don't want to have an
- 11:35upset Tommy. And of course you know probiotics, prebiotics that really helping folks
- 11:39fight off and really help keeping them healthy and tim, as we talked this
- 11:43week as well, something that's interesting is, of course people are I love
- 11:50this about folks. As folks are taking the time to learn, they're taking
- 11:52the time to ask questions as well. And I know one of the one
- 11:56of the big missions at the Healthy Place for you and your team is to
- 11:58share information and find those answers to help people. Is sometimes we feel like
- 12:03we're almost pigeonholed, like in a system where if you've got this, you've
- 12:07got to do this. And I love that people are saying, wait a
- 12:11second, here, is there a better way? Is there something that's better
- 12:13for me, something gets better for my family. And one of the ways
- 12:16people can explore that is through asking questions and getting answers. And I know
- 12:20that something you guys strive for at the Healthy Place as well as helping people
- 12:24navigate those paths. Yeah. Absolutely, man, I mean life is so
- 12:28intense, I mean just crazy. I cannot believe it's already September at twenty
- 12:33twenty three, it's gonna be twenty twenty four. It's like just wild,
- 12:37how fast time can go, how intense life can be, how difficult it
- 12:41can be to navigate the map of your health. You know, we reach
- 12:46out maybe to our primary medical doctor, and then we might get prescriptions or
- 12:50a surgery, and you know, hey, a lot of the times that's
- 12:54helpful, I'm grateful for that. So much of the time the surgery isn't
- 12:58needed, or the pharmaceutical drugs aren't needed. I think it's a third or
- 13:03more. It might be forty percent. Last I read of antibiotics prescribed are
- 13:07are not actually needed in a given situation. And you know, we have
- 13:11some of the best doctors in the world, and so that's not really the
- 13:15issue here in Madison. It's like educations the issue, Like if you have
- 13:18a problem or a struggle, you do, or a loved one has an
- 13:22issue or a problem or a struggle, and you don't know that there's a
- 13:26natural alternative that works like seventy eighty percent of the time for hundreds or even
- 13:31thousands of others in Madison. You know, whatever the issue. You can
- 13:33think of whatever condition. Maybe it's IBS, maybe it's a heart condition,
- 13:39maybe it's it's a brain fog, fatigue, chronic pain, anxiety, sleep
- 13:43issues. You know, there's there's answers to all of these that have been
- 13:46tremendously successful. You know that our wellness consultant team, our army of wellness
- 13:52consultants, we watch, we learn from those smarter than us, and we
- 13:56see all around the world how these problems are being tree did naturally and then
- 14:01we try it here in Madison, Wisconsin, and we've been doing that for
- 14:03thirteen plus years now. And the success stories the five stars, I mean,
- 14:07go check Google out for the five stars, Go check our website out
- 14:11for our thousands of five star reviews on the products and the service and the
- 14:16attention to detail and care around our customers and our community. And so as
- 14:22a wellness consultant team, we're looking at these natural alternatives like they work,
- 14:28and so we're just telling more people. And so we want you to have
- 14:31education. If you're listening, you're somewhere in the world, you know,
- 14:33get education. If it's not us, see have somebody else on your team
- 14:37that you can go to to find out what natural alternatives are working for your
- 14:41specific issues. That's what we do hundreds of times per day at The Healthy
- 14:45Place. And like I said earlier, we don't pretend to be right all
- 14:48the time. We don't pretend to Actually I misspoke to Sally, there are
- 14:50are prebiotics and kombucha, so we say things that are like, oh,
- 14:54actually there are. But the point is is we want to be a resource
- 14:58to the community, reach out. If you have health conditions, your health
- 15:01matters, your life matters, and it's worth fighting for. Be the CEO
- 15:05of your own health, stand up, learn something, take action. Actions
- 15:09better than inaction, and we want to be there to support and serve.
- 15:11And it's amazing way you mentioned the Hive as well, and the just the
- 15:15great great minds, and of course the sharing of information that goes on at
- 15:18the Healthy Place. Speaking of sharing of information, I know there's a lot
- 15:22that we talk about each and every week. And Steve wants as a follow
- 15:26up question from last week's program, Steve, welcome to the program. You're
- 15:28on the air with Tim O'Brien from The Healthy Place. He takes Tim.
- 15:33Last week, you talked about a multi vitamin that eventually helps build strong meals.
- 15:39My neils split all the time helped me out. Buddy. Oh did
- 15:43you get that Tim? Did we lose Tim? Oh? My goodness,
- 15:46I think I think we might have lost Tim. Steve might just be well,
- 15:48I always confuse people. Well I will. What I'm gonna do is,
- 15:54Steve, I'm gonna put you on hold and I'm gonna get some information
- 15:56from Tim for you. But yeah, I don't know. It looks like
