- 10:58[SPEAKER_18]: But I think in the long run it's going to pay off on a road if we can get peace in the Middle East.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_18]: Well, it certainly was a positive development this morning and you know, yes, oil is on about 85 dollars of a barrel, which is quite a drop.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_18]: But typical limples, what people whine in the bulk of the gallon of gas prices, this kid over people.

- 11:43[SPEAKER_18]: She doesn't know anything about porn policy.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_18]: I told people that, oh, everybody's told me, oh, come on, I hear her.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_18]: She was handed in the nomination at anybody, but I told a friend of mine, she doesn't know anything about policy.

- 12:02[SPEAKER_24]: I know.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_18]: She got there.

- 12:35[SPEAKER_18]: Who is that?
- 12:36[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_16]: Big margin.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_18]: Crazy people voting in this country.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_18]: But I just wanted I didn't want you to speck me to pay for your various mayors.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_18]: That's what I was wondering if that's what you're looking for.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_18]: You know what I mean?
- 12:49[SPEAKER_18]: Because those are not cheap bills of cement barriers.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_16]: No, I want a city has a bunch of those sit.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_16]: They have a bunch of them sitting around.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_16]: You wouldn't even have to buy one.

- 13:01[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_18]: Well.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_18]: Well, I'm glad nobody was outside there.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_16]: Well, me too.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_16]: And, um...
- 13:09[SPEAKER_16]: Lockie, but I don't want people shouldn't always have to plan on being lucky.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_21]: So, uh... My true.

- 13:22[SPEAKER_16]: He's going to talk to the council.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_16]: He doesn't really know how to feel about that.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_18]: I don't agree with that at all, but I'm not going to go into that.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_16]: Okay.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_18]: Okay, Mayor.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_16]: All right, thank you.

- 14:12[SPEAKER_16]: I hate to be disrespectful, but I don't know how much I believe of that.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_16]: In other words, the idea that I just got out of PT and I fell asleep.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_16]: Maybe four drums should look at that and say, well, what are we doing at PT that makes people fall asleep?
- 14:33[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know what the answer was, but after doing it on the air.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_15]: a concern that we have there's a pattern with people crashing right there.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_15]: All right.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_15]: I think the best bet because I think the jersey barriers are going to look at you.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_14]: I think the best bet would be those pedestrian poles that have them on the square and forget about any of those critics, you know, flex your political mind and get those pedestrian poles installed.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_16]: That's a good idea, yeah.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_14]: All right, that's all I want to say.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_16]: All right, thank you.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_16]: I don't have any political muscles of facts.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_16]: Those muscles are old.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_16]: Labbing now.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_16]: But, you know, you don't get anywhere unless speak up in life.

- 19:33[SPEAKER_16]: uh... so uh... i'm being proactive in it but it is an interesting thing uh... and you know some people say well a heck with you and you just to this and that i think you're city officials whether they be appointed or elected should take it an interest in everything that happens in town you know if something something like that happens you go to see and you know
- 20:04[SPEAKER_16]: S. The owner if he needs anything or anything like that, yeah fireman did a good job they were very helpful, but beyond that, cops were cordial I didn't shrub any of me I didn't shrub any of them, good afternoon you're on here, hey Mayor how are you doing?
- 20:22[SPEAKER_17]: Good, not a suggestion you could give the city manager on your problem with that intersection there, sure, rumble strip
- 20:34[SPEAKER_16]: There you go.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_17]: Not speed bumps.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_17]: We know what happens with all the rumble strips.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_17]: You know how they work.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_17]: Before you get to the intersection, there's a strips across the road.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_17]: It creates a little vibration.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_17]: So if you're not paying attention, you kind of wake up.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_17]: Similar to what's on this edge of the road now that they're there.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_16]: Right.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_16]: You think they're really fell asleep or what happened?
- 21:00[SPEAKER_17]: Yeah.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_17]: I can believe it.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_17]: I heard, I don't know if it's true, I just heard it on your radio, I think, that he had cared for overnight his child that was ill, and then to go do PT and everything.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_17]: Yeah, I can see him get back in the vehicle, the heater warms up.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_24]: Mm-hmm.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_17]: The car just getting warm just before he gets in the city.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_17]: And yeah, he has that breakfast or anything to eat, he's been up all night.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_16]: That probably could happen.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_16]: know your limitations sometimes and uh... you know what we're that child was he was caring for could have been without a parent as a result of it i'm surprised the guy wasn't hurt yeah those are miracle i mean you've been you've been involved in accidents before when you hit a tree like that dead on and there's no airbags deploying how do you know you gotta have a hard head to get out of that car they have the limits you know they're not impervious just because you got a
- 22:01[SPEAKER_16]: yeah well they didn't come out anyway yeah so okay well thank you rumble strips appreciate it yeah all right if you're in kind words there let's see and thanks to the water town times reporting that was a nice story that Craig Fox did i'm not here to suck up to the media but you know uh nice picture display and all of that stuff wow
- 22:32[SPEAKER_16]: That's, here's another suggestion for a local news story that will really be read by a lot of people.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_16]: This whole transition on Cole Sandace, with George and his father running it for 93 years and turning it over to somebody else.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_16]: You know how many people have been through there over the years, white collar, blue collar, everything else.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_16]: I know there's the elites if you're at first press or something.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_16]: You say, well, what's that?
- 22:54[SPEAKER_16]: It's just people drinking.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_16]: But boy, it's a social watering hole for decades since 1933.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_16]: I don't know, just a thought for another features feature story if they're looking for one.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_16]: 755, 1240, the phone number if you'd like to give us a hoot and a holler and put you on the air.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_16]: Uh, use this kind of a sad story from Syracuse.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_16]: Is this the, uh,
- 23:31[SPEAKER_16]: The dinosaur bar is, oh, that's a New York City, it's closing.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_16]: Apparently, the leases up, you're going to put housing there.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_16]: The original one was in Brooklyn.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_16]: That's too bad.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_16]: That one in Syracuse is real popular.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, it's a great concept, a great place, but sometimes progress isn't really progress.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_16]: you know, it's like covering the whole county and solar panels.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_16]: Is that progress?
- 24:08[SPEAKER_16]: I'm not sure.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_16]: Well, what else is going on?
- 24:13[SPEAKER_16]: We told you the Dow was up 1,100 points.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_16]: Remember a few weeks ago that Naysayers were, oh, it's terrible.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_16]: And I'm sometimes a Naysayer, but maybe Trump's going to come out of this.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_16]: get the straight open, you know, the Iranians have a lot of leverage here.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_16]: They've got, you know, they still have a country, a working country and all that, but they got problems.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_16]: They can't sustain 92 million people on that economy right now.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_16]: Who cares if you got nuclear weapons?
- 24:49[SPEAKER_16]: I know it's a big thing, a big pride thing, but who would care?
- 24:52[SPEAKER_16]: I don't care.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_16]: I mean, you don't need them for anything unless you just want to blow up his real.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_16]: get over that man.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_16]: Like I said, that country is like, you see pictures over there.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_16]: They look like average Joe's walking around the street, right?
- 25:10[SPEAKER_16]: We're a normal close and everything except for the leadership.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_16]: They look like characters out of a star trek show or something.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_16]: Those turbines, gowns on, and the weirdos.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_16]: The country run by weirdos.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, and they're all men too.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_16]: So
- 25:28[SPEAKER_16]: With the leftover here, they don't look at that.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, it was just like a small well there, but I listened to the women.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_16]: Well, unless it's one of our people.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_16]: Got it.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_16]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_25]: Hi, good afternoon, Mayor.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_16]: Hey.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_25]: I was, I, I, I, I'm looking for a little help.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_16]: Sure.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_25]: And maybe your audience can help.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_25]: But, um, the Limerick, uh, animal veterinarian service.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_24]: Yes.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_25]: the doctor there retired and she retired actually in May 13th.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_25]: I never even realized that I've been going there for about five years with Curtin's current stock I got now.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_25]: I went over there the place thought closed up.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_25]: There's no contact numbers.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_25]: You call the number.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_25]: I'm the internet and it says they're not accepting any calls and I was go ahead.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, I don't I don't know.
- 26:24[UNKNOWN]: I
- 26:25[SPEAKER_16]: I would think they would have notified patients before closing, and you could look for another vet.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_16]: That's their hard to find, but you could look for one.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_25]: They are.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_25]: I know on I'm kind of put paperwork in for two different ones, but I was just, if somebody didn't have been in that area, whoever uses that vet service, if they were able to obtain their animal dog records, which apparently you're still in the building or someplace, I'm not sure where.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_25]: maybe they could call in and and right how they did it you know so yeah there should be a way to get that information uh... but uh... he would think so i would think so too yeah that limit limit is really gone all the hell is that well there's not much over there really mean the hotel closed yeah they sold all the furniture and everything that's the thing that's left about the hotel is the front side to sign off front by the road
- 27:24[SPEAKER_25]: They still got that original sign out there.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_16]: I don't know why family holds on to it, but it's I don't know.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_25]: They don't need.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_25]: I don't even think anybody stays there or anything in our senior cars there Right, but the kitty corners the guy took the old grocery store and he fixed that up and there's a nice trailer sales place in there right now Okay, what's on the other corner?
- 27:50[SPEAKER_25]: well that that's a residential okay right across and that's the residence of the sitting there oh yeah kind of a junky old white house mm-hmm but yeah there's not a lot in the living or any more few houses but town headquarters is over there so oh so it's the welder yes he is just down the road yeah you know and and I use it whenever I have that welding done I always use him I go and
- 28:20[SPEAKER_25]: I go over there and it takes me about an hour and a half to get out.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_25]: We start talking and get going and he's showing me everything in the shop and all the projects he's got going and if it's pretty interesting trade, I'll tell you right now.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_16]: So... That is.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_25]: That is.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_25]: But you know, I just want to mention one other thing, I spent my whole life in the grocery business.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_25]: My grandfather was a grocer, my dad was a grocer and I grew up in the grocery business.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_25]: in the fondami thinks he's going to open up uh... city owned grocery stores and give groceries away he he shouldn't even have to worry about spending the thirty million on uh... on doing up building what he should do it just by groceries bill semis with them pick up parking lot open the back of the horse right left everybody everybody have everything anything for free if that's what he's going to do because he's going to use their goods are going to lose their butts on that you know
- 29:17[SPEAKER_25]: I know it's good.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_25]: If you don't have to pay rent, and you don't have to pay utilities, you know, it'd be it could make some money.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_25]: Because I remember back during the energy crunch, I got an electric bill once, one month it was 10 grams.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_24]: Wow.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_25]: You know?
- 29:35[SPEAKER_25]: Yeah, I know it.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_25]: Wow.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_25]: Wow.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_25]: It was in the word for it, you know, but people don't understand.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_25]: They see all that money going in the registers.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_25]: But boy I'll tell you there's a long ways between those sales and your growth and your food and your net, you know that you know you're in business so you're lucky if you're not there's anything but time you get done so but good luck to him maybe I've got on to go shopping you know well it could be yeah all right thanks fine thanks man for getting that information and you know really channel 7 could probably do a story about them.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_25]: The vet service too, got sheep on there forever, I think.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, well, I don't know.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_16]: I don't like to tell Channel 7 what they should do, but maybe... Yeah, I missed her cold as listening, I don't know.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_25]: Because it doesn't really matter if you tell him anyway, so... Well, they're all right.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_25]: I'll talk to you later, thank you.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_16]: Bye now.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_25]: Bye.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_16]: All right, good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_08]: Good afternoon.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_16]: Damn you from Pameo, yeah.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_08]: Yes.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_08]: The whole solar farm thing is disgusting.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_08]: Those things are ugly and are pointless, and ruining all this farm land, and I think also, I mean, I don't have anything to back it up with, but I imagine that they're not very good for migrating birds and such or anything that wants to come in for a landing at night.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_08]: thing though that they should cover with solar panels I would say in a hurt my heart to drive through it the other day.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_08]: I have no idea what the heck happened there.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_08]: The town of Antwerp.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_08]: What?
- 31:22[SPEAKER_08]: What happened there?
- 31:24[SPEAKER_08]: It's also like the town.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_08]: It's like this has district I went through.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_08]: I haven't been doing a while.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_08]: My daughter had a friend there and who lived in a decent house there on the other side but I had in driven through
- 31:40[SPEAKER_08]: it's sad it is it's illegal because all these they're business district for all these buildings with out windows like they're open to the weather if they're not boarded up where they have broken glass there's no business is there empty there's the
- 32:11[SPEAKER_08]: One of the buildings had a, you can see there were lights on there through the dingy window and it said coast office.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_08]: So I think the one section, there's a post office in there.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_08]: And that's across the street from the, the Legion, the American Legion there.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_08]: They, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they,
- 32:37[SPEAKER_08]: they are uh... is somebody without sweeping their stoop so it's like that thing is the best they can care of thing there but it's just it's heartbreaking because the home yeah i remember the old antwerp hotel and the uh... these have a tank sitting around their sherman tank somewhere uh... was on the other side i didn't even go that far because just driving through
- 33:02[SPEAKER_08]: what is supposed to be a business district was is disgusting.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_08]: Who is running it?
- 33:07[SPEAKER_08]: There's got to be local governance.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_08]: I was looking up like who's running it in their different names online for like the mayor and the clerk.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_08]: It's like can't they get grants to they're too far gone.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_08]: That's that main street is too far gone.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_08]: They should just take everything
- 33:30[SPEAKER_08]: friggin' food trucks, you know, and have a festival every other week or something.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_08]: It's just disgusting.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_08]: I just can't believe an entire town business district got to that point and if anybody wants to, you know, to go have their heart hurt and see past glory of what was once there
- 33:59[SPEAKER_08]: and take a ride at the business district of Antwerp and you will be, you know, shocked.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know how people drive through that and don't go home and put an end to it all because it's just so depressing, it's terrible.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_16]: Well, I haven't been there in a while.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_16]: There was a bar down here at one point, but I haven't been there in a long time.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_08]: really bad Glenn should do a story on it.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_08]: He's really good with that historical stuff because I want to know what the heck happened.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_08]: That's all I have to say there and I'm glad you're done talking about garbage because that trash situation you were talking about that that took up so much of the airwaves and it's like, oh my gosh, somebody called out my mouth.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_08]: Anyway, it was nice talking with you.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_08]: Let me know because it is sad.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_16]: Okay.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_16]: Hi.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_16]: Thanks, Tammy.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_16]: Her observations are correct.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_16]: I mean, if you just drive through there, it looks like a neutron bomb went off.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_16]: But I don't know.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_16]: You don't know what do you do?
- 35:13[SPEAKER_16]: I mean, they got their convenience store in the edge of town.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_16]: And they got a legion, so they got a place of drink.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_16]: That's about it, really.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_16]: Not much left.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_16]: Sorry about that.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_16]: All righty seven five five twelve forty good afternoon on here.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_26]: Hi Jeff, I'd like to add some comments regarding the water tendency school budget.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_26]: Specifically the end of sign fund balance which is every organization's municipal organizations.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_26]: Same as a count that they use to cover unexpected expenditures.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_26]: at 22% of their appropriations in their unassigned fund balance and the state uh... recommended four percent a lot of money small time millions of dollars that they're keeping characterized by the superintendent it would be irresponsible of us to uh... reduced that level because of unforeseen circumstances well it's unconscionable and irresponsible that they let it get that big
- 36:24[SPEAKER_16]: There's a couple ways to deal.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_16]: Well, first of all, that's for seeing circumstances.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_16]: Doesn't require $16 million.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_16]: There's cash flow and things, but yeah, I agree with you.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_16]: I agree with it.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_16]: But
- 36:41[SPEAKER_16]: You know, they could just lower taxes if they wanted, but they won't do that.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_16]: Another thing, I noticed there's a $3.2 million dollar referendum for energy conservation to change light bulbs over the next 15 years.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_16]: Isn't that the kind of thing to go to LED lights?
- 36:59[SPEAKER_16]: Isn't that the kind of thing you would have done years ago in an incremental manner, like most of us?
- 37:05[SPEAKER_26]: Exactly true, but there's no incentive for them to do it.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_26]: And it's not isolated just to the water transit school district, which would all the expenditures are planning an internship to learn how to lead and administer people as a complete joke.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_26]: It's just another way of keeping somebody employed.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_26]: But the issues are, this is real money.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_26]: People are hurting and everyone's coming at them with increased taxes, other levees, things of that nature.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_26]: It's not uncommon to see this at every level of government.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_26]: Many, many towns have access reserves.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_26]: Not only could they learn taxes, they could pay down debt, they could do a lot of things with that money.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_26]: And the state doesn't seem to ever do anything about it.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_16]: Well, you know, we supposedly have represented a government, but you really don't with school districts.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_16]: School boards are just an appendage of the superintendent.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_16]: And they're not going to do anything.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_16]: you know, aren't told to do.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_16]: And the same thing happens with a lot of these governments.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_16]: You know, you get in there and you're told, well, you're not in charge, we're in charge.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_16]: This is what we got to do and you say anything different, you're bad.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_16]: So now I, I, I, I, I look at, if you, there's about 15 school districts in Jefferson County.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_16]: What's the, the cumulative budget of all of them?
- 38:42[SPEAKER_16]: Oh, millions, hundreds of millions of dollars.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_16]: And we got to have a separate, super-intended, a separate school cycle, you know, for everybody.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_16]: Why you couldn't run all of this under the auspices of boses or something, and save on this administrative bloke, we have in this area.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_26]: Especially, obviously, we look at water transport, school district.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_26]: seventy five eighty percent horrible i mean you look at all these positions they have these facilitators and innovators and whatever they are i don't even know what they are it's something yeah and i think that it will be an interesting report for some local reporting aid in the agency but again there's billions of air nine billions of millions of hundred and millions of dollars of excess
- 39:37[SPEAKER_16]: You know I was in a news business.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_16]: There's no way with current staffing in the market that you could adequately cover all these school districts towns.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_16]: You know, there's a lot of intrigue in the town of Watertown right now.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_16]: They're having a big meeting tonight or tomorrow night or whatever.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_16]: And they're going to decide who the new supervisor is.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_16]: I think I'm sure Don Cooven's already decided that but.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_16]: a town has 5,000 people in it.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_16]: So it doesn't get covered.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_26]: Well, there's a lot of money on the table that could be used to reduce the burden of taxpayers to shame that we don't have some way to get out of the office of state controller focuses on a lot of things, but they're understaffed and can't get everywhere.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_26]: I'm always looking to see you in my town, much we have in that fun balance, if they'll even give it to you because they don't report financials openly, and it makes me wonder how current the financials are for where I live, given the fact that the town of Watertown for got to file five years' worth of required financial reporting, the Egyptian County historical society for got to file their 90s or three years in the last
- 41:04[SPEAKER_26]: I'm not a state status man, the town of water town, almost lost a fingerboard just straight because the end of the forest reports timely and no one on the board even knew it.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_16]: Well, that's because they were having dreams over sports complex that was never going to be built.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_26]: Yeah, exactly.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_26]: Exactly.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_16]: But on the other hand, you know, who runs for town offices now?
- 41:31[SPEAKER_16]: Nobody.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_16]: Nobody knows.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_16]: First of all, if you're out there, you've got a water town address.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_16]: You tell your relatives, I live in water town.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_16]: You don't know.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_16]: I live in a town of this or that, and who the elected officials are, you have no idea.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_26]: Well, sadly, I think this way.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_16]: And all these governments that they all got their own, you know, lawyers and they just tell them what to do and the whole thing is, it's how to control because there's so much money now, a talent government basically should just be plowed the roads type of thing, but now they're complicated getting involved in a hundred million dollar projects and it's beyond their scope really to do it, I think.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, so, I don't know.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_16]: Okay, well thank you for calling.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_16]: Thank you.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_16]: He raises weighty issues.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_16]: Issues we don't want to explore as a community, as a society, really.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_16]: But they need to be talked about.

- 46:05[SPEAKER_16]: That was partially true.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_16]: They had debt service sector expire.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_16]: So instead of lowering taxes from that expiration of debt, he spent it and the board agreed and so did the voters because school budget votes are a scam.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_16]: they are they are um to a certain extent all municipal budgets are because they're controlled by not the elected officials who vote on them but but others who frame the issue the way they want it framed so but yeah school budget votes and that's why nobody votes a aye vote but it even doesn't pass and they
