- 0:00Speaker 1: I'm going to regret this.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Welcome to the note party.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Hi.
- 0:06Speaker 3: This is Nick and Astasu, story editor on Star Wars,
- 0:10Speaker 3: the Clone Wars and Star Wars bad Batch, and you
- 0:14Speaker 3: are listening to aggressive negotiations.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Happy spooky season, fellow fans of the Star Wars galaxy
- 0:32Speaker 1: far far away. This is indeed aggressive negotiations. And I
- 0:36Speaker 1: am one of your humble hosts, John Mills, and joining
- 0:38Speaker 1: me once again for another go round in this spiral
- 0:42Speaker 1: armed galaxy of madness is Jedi Master Matthew Rushing. Matt
- 0:46Speaker 1: Are you ready to talk some spooky topics today?
- 0:50Speaker 2: I am John. I mean, it is tis the season,
- 0:54Speaker 2: so they say, and something wicked this way.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Comes, something wicked this way comes, And we always have
- 1:01Speaker 1: to wonder, did Star Wars have the equivalent of pumpkin spice? Somewhere?
- 1:05Speaker 1: Going like? Was Kessel? Wait a minute, all right, hold on,
- 1:09Speaker 1: let's reride our cannon here. We know the spice minds
- 1:12Speaker 1: of Kessel are there right? Sure it's a drug? Yeah?
- 1:15Speaker 1: Did they have pumpkin spice come out of Kessel as well?
- 1:19Speaker 1: I mean, like we we can tell from the way
- 1:21Speaker 1: that many people react it's highly addictive. So is this
- 1:25Speaker 1: a possibility.
- 1:26Speaker 2: I absolutely do think that they had pumpkin spice. Of
- 1:30Speaker 2: course it had zero pumpkin in it. Although yes, these
- 1:34Speaker 2: days Starbucks is telling us that they now have the
- 1:37Speaker 2: real pumpkin spice latte. So what did that make the
- 1:41Speaker 2: previous pumpkin spice latte?
- 1:43Speaker 1: A sith imitation is what it made. That And they
- 1:47Speaker 1: also have now a pumpkin protein cold foam. So I
- 1:51Speaker 1: think we're just throwing words in a blender and hoping
- 1:54Speaker 1: for the best.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Thank we're just getting a guy.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Yeah you know what. Oh no, oh, the products we're
- 2:01Speaker 1: about to experience are gonna be This is gonna be
- 2:03Speaker 1: a nightmare, isn't it. Oh no, Oh geez.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Let's move on to something else quick quick.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Let's yeah, we're gonna move on. We're gonna move on,
- 2:11Speaker 1: but remember, don't move on from giving us a star
- 2:14Speaker 1: rating and review over on Apple Podcasts. We would highly
- 2:17Speaker 1: highly appreciate it. It's so scary out there in the realm
- 2:21Speaker 1: of podcasting when people don't give you ratings and reviews.
- 2:25Speaker 1: We appreciate everybody who's listening. We know who you well,
- 2:28Speaker 1: we don't know who you are. That's too creepy, but
- 2:30Speaker 1: we know you're there, so thanks for listening. But if
- 2:33Speaker 1: you haven't had a chance, go on over and give
- 2:35Speaker 1: us a star rating and review. But the real reason
- 2:37Speaker 1: that we are here is to discuss the possibilities of
- 2:40Speaker 1: Spooky season in that Star Wars Galaxy Far.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Far Away spook it down.
- 2:46Speaker 1: I love this, I love this. I'm going to take
- 2:49Speaker 1: that and I'm gonna put that into AI and I'm
- 2:52Speaker 1: going to see what we can do with them. So well, hey,
- 2:56Speaker 1: once I do, I can't copyright it, so what the
- 2:58Speaker 1: heck's We'll just put it out there for the world,
- 3:00Speaker 1: and if we get it to work, we'll attach it
- 3:03Speaker 1: to the show notes, which means it's not going to happen,
- 3:05Speaker 1: So there you go. Anyway, So we've a stat We've
- 3:09Speaker 1: talked about these things before, Matt in our many episodes,
- 3:12Speaker 1: about the difficulty of time zones in a galaxy far
- 3:15Speaker 1: far away in seasons and coordinating things and all of
- 3:18Speaker 1: this different type of stuff. But given that the Galaxy
- 3:21Speaker 1: Far Far Away is established, like here, there's a question
- 3:25Speaker 1: are ghosts real are they not? Ghost Adventures been on
- 3:28Speaker 1: the air for thirty seasons, so maybe they're real. I
- 3:32Speaker 1: don't know, Maybe they're making it up probably, but we
- 3:36Speaker 1: know they're real in the Star Wars galaxy Far Far Away.
- 3:39Speaker 1: So basically I just want to ask you what's the
- 3:42Speaker 1: shape of the spooky stories in that galaxy Far far away.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Do you think that there was a really rich tradition
- 3:53Speaker 1: galaxy wide for ghost stories given that force ghosts at
- 3:57Speaker 1: a minimum exist, or do you think that they're still
- 4:00Speaker 1: tremendous skepticism about it.
- 4:03Speaker 2: See, when I was thinking about this question, when you
- 4:07Speaker 2: had brought it up, the first thing that it popped
- 4:09Speaker 2: into my mind wasn't really the fact that you know,
- 4:12Speaker 2: force ghosts exists, because I feel like that would be
- 4:14Speaker 2: something that very few people would know about now whether
- 4:17Speaker 2: or not there were stories, could totally see they're just
- 4:20Speaker 2: being stories. But the thing that I was thinking of
- 4:24Speaker 2: more so was the death of Mary. Witches, right, and
- 4:31Speaker 2: the kind of like ghost like nature that they have,
- 4:35Speaker 2: And that seemed to be a thing to me where
- 4:39Speaker 2: you know, the idea of witches and then of course
- 4:44Speaker 2: their spectral beings that they can have, you know, they
- 4:47Speaker 2: can cause themselves to be kind of invisible. We saw
- 4:49Speaker 2: that with Madam towsand in that episode where they go
- 4:52Speaker 2: to kill Dooku, and so I feel like they themselves
- 4:57Speaker 2: are actually righte for storytelling across the galaxy. As you know,
- 5:06Speaker 2: galactic boogey people, I mean, they just seem like super creepy.
- 5:11Speaker 1: So you're saying that, like, there wouldn't have necessarily been ghosts,
- 5:16Speaker 1: but when the galaxy was more riddled with force users
- 5:22Speaker 1: like the Night Sisters, they would have been pulling tricks
- 5:24Speaker 1: in such a way that would have convinced people they
- 5:26Speaker 1: were ghosts when it was really like, you know, a
- 5:29Speaker 1: Night Sister had gone invisible to do an assassination or
- 5:31Speaker 1: something like that. So they wouldn't have been encountering ghosts
- 5:34Speaker 1: so much as people who could use the Force to
- 5:37Speaker 1: mask their presence and those sorts of things. But given
- 5:42Speaker 1: the galactic scale of everything, at what point do you
- 5:46Speaker 1: think this would would have gone Because the galaxy when
- 5:50Speaker 1: we encounter it, even at the time of the Jedi,
- 5:53Speaker 1: as we get a little more shading in the Clone Wars,
- 5:56Speaker 1: even while the Jedi are active growing cynicism, the Han
- 6:01Speaker 1: Solo perspective of the galaxy, the cynics have taken root.
- 6:07Speaker 1: So do you think that time period in specific would
- 6:11Speaker 1: have been less apt to believe in anything like that, Like,
- 6:16Speaker 1: did we encounter the Star Wars galaxy in that age
- 6:19Speaker 1: of cynicism, where everybody would have simply assumed that it
- 6:23Speaker 1: was simply a parlor trick or something like that, they
- 6:26Speaker 1: wouldn't have been inclined towards the supernatural. Or do you
- 6:29Speaker 1: think it's like a case by case, planet by planet basis.
- 6:32Speaker 2: I think it's a case by case or planet by
- 6:34Speaker 2: planet thought process. And I think I was you know,
- 6:39Speaker 2: I was thinking of the mon Cow right and the Core,
- 6:42Speaker 2: and that planet has a long history with Jedi intervention,
- 6:47Speaker 2: with Jedi friendship, and so that might be a planet
- 6:51Speaker 2: where the idea of you know, a dark Jedi or
- 6:57Speaker 2: or something of that nature would have taken root. I mean,
- 7:00Speaker 2: but you think of a planet like obviously tats a
- 7:04Speaker 2: Ween that that seems like a place where all of
- 7:07Speaker 2: those stories just seem so remote. And then at that
- 7:10Speaker 2: point people get called wizards or witches or you know,
- 7:14Speaker 2: those type of things, because that's the that's the place
- 7:18Speaker 2: that a person's mind kind of goes to. They just
- 7:21Speaker 2: put it in this other kind of magic category. And
- 7:25Speaker 2: it makes me think, you know that you know, they
- 7:28Speaker 2: called you know, Ben, this crazy old wizard, you know,
- 7:33Speaker 2: and he knows who he is. Uncle Owen knows who
- 7:37Speaker 2: he is, and he knows what he's capable of. But
- 7:40Speaker 2: there is that language for them to be able to
- 7:43Speaker 2: have these discussions that make sense to Luke as a character.
- 7:47Speaker 2: So there has to be some sort of mythology or
- 7:53Speaker 2: fairy tale nature to the Star Wars galaxy that allows
- 7:57Speaker 2: people to have these type of conversations and these type
- 8:00Speaker 2: of stories and and so that's what makes sense to
- 8:04Speaker 2: me as poor. You know, yeah, ghost stories have to
- 8:08Speaker 2: be a thing. You know, scary stories have to be
- 8:11Speaker 2: a thing in the Star Wars galaxy because there's plenty
- 8:13Speaker 2: of scary things that happen. Not only that, but I
- 8:16Speaker 2: mean when you think of living in a galaxy where
- 8:20Speaker 2: you know you are coming in contact with all of
- 8:22Speaker 2: these other species right well to your species, another species
- 8:27Speaker 2: could look terrifying as well, and so you know, you
- 8:31Speaker 2: think of that process and that idea, it's like, man,
- 8:34Speaker 2: this there has to be ghost stories all over the place.
- 8:38Speaker 2: And then you know each planet would kind of probably
- 8:42Speaker 2: have their own type of ghost stories based off of
- 8:45Speaker 2: you know, the species in the end that kind of
- 8:49Speaker 2: terrifies them the most. On top of all the supernatural
- 8:52Speaker 2: stuff that you might hear in the story.
- 8:54Speaker 1: You know, yeah, I do. I think that I think
- 8:58Speaker 1: that that's true though, because like you know, especially you're
- 9:01Speaker 1: you know, you ride the hyperspace lanes, you wind up,
- 9:04Speaker 1: you know what. I would actually the now overlooked and
- 9:08Speaker 1: forgotten unfairly Skeleton Crew, how easy would it have been
- 9:13Speaker 1: for a kid to have gone to a planet and
- 9:16Speaker 1: then seen something, which you know, in Skeleton Crew, it's
- 9:19Speaker 1: a wonderful gag where they encounter like this big, horrific
- 9:22Speaker 1: Cthulhu like creature and he's just like a dude in
- 9:24Speaker 1: a spa and he's like, actually pretty cool. But the
- 9:28Speaker 1: kid sees at first, you know, gets scared, runs off
- 9:31Speaker 1: all of a sudden becomes a monster story. Oh don't
- 9:33Speaker 1: go to that planet because there are monsters there, and
- 9:35Speaker 1: the you know, oh I encountered a strange spirit or
- 9:38Speaker 1: there's somebody who can use the force that is not trained.
- 9:43Speaker 1: I like where you're going with that, Like, it's inevitable
- 9:46Speaker 1: that Star Wars would have been rife with those sorts
- 9:50Speaker 1: of stories all throughout the galaxy. So the question becomes
- 9:53Speaker 1: for me from there, because I agree with you, why
- 9:58Speaker 1: haven't they embraced that sort of thing in the publishing world.
- 10:03Speaker 1: They're really trying hard to force more Jedi stories and
- 10:08Speaker 1: more you know, timeline stories and stuff like that. Why
- 10:12Speaker 1: wouldn't they embrace this idea of like an anthology of
- 10:15Speaker 1: spooky stories, you know, like ghost stories from a galaxy
- 10:18Speaker 1: far far away, where they tell the story from the
- 10:20Speaker 1: point of view of somebody who's there and maybe they're
- 10:24Speaker 1: you know, the trick to the story is like the
- 10:25Speaker 1: audience we're in the know, right, it's that ultimate traumatic irony.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Oh no, I know that was just a night sister,
- 10:31Speaker 1: but that person doesn't, so I understand how the story
- 10:33Speaker 1: came to be, you know. You know what I'm saying, like,
- 10:36Speaker 1: isn't there a possibility there for that?
- 10:38Speaker 2: You know, you asked that question because there are stories
- 10:43Speaker 2: in the Legends or Expanded Universe or the books or whatever.
- 10:49Speaker 2: In fact, this one recently came out a few years back,
- 10:53Speaker 2: which was Dark Legends by George Mahn, and he had
- 10:57Speaker 2: his Myths and Fables books. Well that came out, so
- 11:01Speaker 2: it's like the kinder version of that, and they had
- 11:04Speaker 2: this scary story series that they did with with Dark Legends.
- 11:09Speaker 2: You know, you also had Dark Troopers that came out,
- 11:11Speaker 2: so you had, you know, the zombie trooper type of thing.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Right now, I'm reading Red Harvest right now as we
- 11:16Speaker 1: record this.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yep, yep. So, and I mean you even
- 11:21Speaker 2: think of of, you know, the like the Clone Wars,
- 11:24Speaker 2: right you had the Legacy of Terror episode where you know,
- 11:30Speaker 2: you have the brain worms and so right, like those
- 11:37Speaker 2: are actually things that happened in the galaxy that are
- 11:42Speaker 2: terrifying and scary. And so I when when when we're
- 11:47Speaker 2: talking about this idea of the fact that that scary
- 11:51Speaker 2: stories would they exist. Not only would they exist, but
- 11:55Speaker 2: I think there are so many places for those two
- 12:01Speaker 2: have become a thing, right because there are so many
- 12:05Speaker 2: scary things that actually have happened in the Star Wars
- 12:08Speaker 2: universe and just creepy things again, like gosh, that that
- 12:13Speaker 2: brainworm thing is just kind of terrify.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Fun, fun story. As everybody knows who's who's been listening
- 12:20Speaker 1: for a while, and you definitely know my youngest you know,
- 12:23Speaker 1: we watched Clone Wars all the way through together. But
- 12:26Speaker 1: the Brainworm's arc is the one she she still won't
- 12:29Speaker 1: go near, like it terrifies her too much. She would
- 12:32Speaker 1: like I've I pitched it to her a couple of
- 12:34Speaker 1: times I was like, you know, this is still an
- 12:36Speaker 1: arc that we didn't do, and like I explained the
- 12:38Speaker 1: arc to her and she's like, no, I can't do that.
- 12:40Speaker 1: I can't do that. But like that, But that's what
- 12:42Speaker 1: I'm saying is like every Halloween we should get like
- 12:46Speaker 1: a Star Wars Halloween special, right, Like, yes, I know,
- 12:50Speaker 1: memories of the Holiday special set aside, Happy life Day everyone,
- 12:56Speaker 1: but like a Star Wars Halloween Special could become so
- 13:00Speaker 1: it's a fun annual tradition where it's like it's that
- 13:04Speaker 1: whole thing.
- 13:04Speaker 2: So it's the Tales of Terror, yes.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Or and you have a crypt keeper like guy like
- 13:09Speaker 1: for like Tales from the Cryptad and you make it
- 13:12Speaker 1: just this fun annual holiday tradition of you got that
- 13:17Speaker 1: streamer for Pete's sake, just make one a year, Like
- 13:21Speaker 1: the Simpsons still do the Treehouse of Horror all these
- 13:23Speaker 1: years later. They suck now, but like Star Wars, I
- 13:27Speaker 1: think could could keep that going for quite some time.
- 13:30Speaker 1: And like you're saying, you know, we've already got brain worms,
- 13:32Speaker 1: we've got zombies, We've got those sorts of things, Like
- 13:36Speaker 1: I want to see them embrace it. I want to
- 13:38Speaker 1: see them hold it and like make it a part
- 13:40Speaker 1: of the identity of this They're always looking for other
- 13:42Speaker 1: genres to get into. Let's get into horror, man, let's
- 13:46Speaker 1: have fun with you.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Well, and I mean you you know you also think
- 13:49Speaker 2: of that idea, right, you know, the Clone Wars also
- 13:52Speaker 2: did the Zillow be right, We've got a monster and
- 13:56Speaker 2: that there's there's a monster movie. You know. You know
- 14:00Speaker 2: you had Rebels doing that out of Darkness episode, and
- 14:05Speaker 2: again Clone Wars did something like Layer of Grievance, you know.
- 14:09Speaker 2: So they are all of these places in which I
- 14:12Speaker 2: think they have played with the horror aspect. And I again,
- 14:17Speaker 2: this is one of those things that I think we've
- 14:19Speaker 2: talked about so many times, right, is that the Clone
- 14:22Speaker 2: Wars really set the standard for how Star Wars can
- 14:28Speaker 2: do these genres storytelling structures, and if you do it right,
- 14:34Speaker 2: you get a you know, scary movie horror type vibe,
- 14:39Speaker 2: but in a way that feels completely Star Wars. I mean, gosh,
- 14:43Speaker 2: you even think about the original Star Wars. That whole
- 14:49Speaker 2: scene and the trash compactor is kind of terrifying the
- 14:51Speaker 2: first time you're watching it, when Luke disappears because some
- 14:55Speaker 2: weird thing has pulled it under and you barely even
- 14:58Speaker 2: know what it looks like, and you're a made nation
- 15:00Speaker 2: is kind of running wild with you, like thinking about
- 15:03Speaker 2: what could be happening to Luke at this moment. True,
- 15:05Speaker 2: you know, you got the Sarlac Pit in Return of
- 15:09Speaker 2: the Jedi, you know, and Bubba Fayette falls down there.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Can you imagine the ghost stories that were told about
- 15:15Speaker 2: that character before he actually returned, you know?
- 15:19Speaker 1: True?
- 15:20Speaker 2: So I think this is the type of thing where,
- 15:23Speaker 2: you know, it makes sense that Star Wars, like our universe,
- 15:28Speaker 2: there is this idea for so many people in the
- 15:32Speaker 2: Star Wars universe that there is a supernatural realm, that
- 15:35Speaker 2: there is something beyond the material that influences the material, right,
- 15:40Speaker 2: and and then you have the existence of dath Miria,
- 15:45Speaker 2: witches and all of these crazy peoples and creatures from
- 15:48Speaker 2: all over the galaxy like wampas, and you know, the
- 15:52Speaker 2: list is endless, and so it makes sense then why
- 15:57Speaker 2: I mean, gosh, you got episode one we travel through
- 15:59Speaker 2: the Core and how many creepy crazy beasts are there
- 16:04Speaker 2: in the Boo Core that are just terrifying creatures of
- 16:11Speaker 2: you know, the sea, And so I mean, I like
- 16:15Speaker 2: your idea though, that you could utilize. This is a
- 16:19Speaker 2: fun storytelling thing, you know. I know they've done a
- 16:25Speaker 2: comic series and it was like, I think it was
- 16:28Speaker 2: like Tales from Vader's Castle or something, and it basically
- 16:31Speaker 2: was that idea of like a horror types you know,
- 16:34Speaker 2: comic series. You know, we're just kind of telling over
- 16:37Speaker 2: the top scary stories. But yeah, I mean, this is
- 16:41Speaker 2: something I think you could you could do, you could
- 16:43Speaker 2: lean into, and it could be a really fun thing
- 16:46Speaker 2: because I think Star Wars itself leans into that. And
- 16:51Speaker 2: how easy is it to have a Star Wars boogeyman
- 16:55Speaker 2: in the Star Wars Galaxy when you literally have characters
- 16:58Speaker 2: like Darth Vader and that's exactly what he was, you know.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Okay, so I think we're in agreement. Let's see them
- 17:05Speaker 1: embrace it more, let's have more fun with it. Grateful
- 17:09Speaker 1: for what we've got and stuff like that. But like,
- 17:11Speaker 1: there's definitely a flavor for it, there's definitely possibilities for it.
- 17:16Speaker 1: So on a final note, what I want to do
- 17:19Speaker 1: is I want to get your pitch. What type of
- 17:23Speaker 1: scary thirty minute or twenty two minute however long the
- 17:26Speaker 1: actual episodes are now before and after credits whatever. But
- 17:30Speaker 1: half hour format and you're doing the first Star Wars
- 17:35Speaker 1: Galaxy of Terror special, what is the story arc that
- 17:40Speaker 1: you're throwing out there? What would you want to see
- 17:42Speaker 1: as a Star Wars horror movie.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Okay, so this might sound very strange, but it's actually
- 17:49Speaker 2: just the first thing that came to mind. Jedi younglings
- 17:54Speaker 2: that are on a quest to find their lightsaber crystals,
- 18:00Speaker 2: but everything on Ilum goes wrong, So it's kind of
- 18:04Speaker 2: more a little bit more family friendly kind of story,
- 18:07Speaker 2: but it's like that type of spooky story that you
- 18:11Speaker 2: feel like Jedi children at the temple might tell each
- 18:15Speaker 2: other to scare them about what's going to happen at Ilum.
- 18:19Speaker 2: You know, and we already know that it is a
- 18:23Speaker 2: scary adventure, right because there are all of these things
- 18:27Speaker 2: that can go wrong. We've seen that in the Clone Wars, right.
- 18:32Speaker 2: But at the same time, you have to imagine that
- 18:36Speaker 2: there are older Padawans that are making up stories for
- 18:40Speaker 2: the younger Padawans about what it's really like, what it's
- 18:44Speaker 2: really like in quotes, you know, I think that would
- 18:48Speaker 2: be fun.
- 18:48Speaker 1: That would be a lot of fun. I like that
- 18:50Speaker 1: framing device very much. I know that there's a sizable
- 18:54Speaker 1: crowd that's like, oh well, let's move away from the Jedi.
- 18:56Speaker 1: But I love your story. I would want to see
- 19:00Speaker 1: them do a slasher movie in thirty minutes where you
- 19:05Speaker 1: have two possibilities here. The one is if you really
- 19:08Speaker 1: want to embrace it and have fun with it and
- 19:10Speaker 1: lean into his true super villain horror vibe that we
- 19:15Speaker 1: especially that we got in the Murder Hallway in Rogue one,
- 19:18Speaker 1: have a slasher movie, only it's Vader going after a
- 19:22Speaker 1: specific set of people because he's the ultimate, Like he's
- 19:25Speaker 1: Jason Vorhees, he's Michael Myers, He's Freddy Krueger. No matter
- 19:29Speaker 1: what you throw out of me, survives.
- 19:31Speaker 2: So I was just gonna say, didn't he already do
- 19:33Speaker 2: that in episode three when he went into the town.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Well yeah no, but I'm talking about the smaller scale,
- 19:40Speaker 1: like he's just showing up taking people out, and then
- 19:44Speaker 1: you have the Final Girl and the Final Girl.
- 19:46Speaker 2: I like that Obi one episode right right where he's
- 19:50Speaker 2: in that town and he just like snapping next and
- 19:53Speaker 2: well but place.
- 19:54Speaker 1: That's exactly the vibe. But like like Halloween or Friday
- 19:58Speaker 1: the thirteenth, where it's like nobody's quite sure who's after them,
- 20:02Speaker 1: but it's him and we know it's him. And then
- 20:05Speaker 1: at the end we have a final fight. The person
- 20:07Speaker 1: gets away, but then Vader's gone sort of thing. But
- 20:10Speaker 1: then I would say, okay, if you don't want to
- 20:12Speaker 1: do a force version of that, then make it. Let's
- 20:17Speaker 1: say a Super Battle droid that gets reactivated unwittingly as
- 20:21Speaker 1: people are out on a camping trip on some plane.
- 20:23Speaker 2: One of those commandos that's even better, so creepy because
- 20:26Speaker 2: they do all the weird movements where they like kind
- 20:28Speaker 2: of flip backwards and they're they're so out of the
- 20:31Speaker 2: joint everything.
- 20:32Speaker 1: And the person like scores a hit and then the
- 20:34Speaker 1: head turns around and kills them anyway. And then again
- 20:37Speaker 1: you can have the final girl and she gets away
- 20:39Speaker 1: at the end, but the Commander droids disappeared and it's
- 20:42Speaker 1: like I was sure I cut his head off or
- 20:43Speaker 1: something like that, and you know the things like soldered
- 20:45Speaker 1: its head back on and boom, there you go. Part
- 20:48Speaker 1: two could be coming soon. I love the fact that
- 20:51Speaker 1: you took a commando droid that is even better than
- 20:52Speaker 1: Super Battle Droid because they're they're markedly more intelligent. I
- 20:57Speaker 1: like that. I like that a lot. But yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 21:00Speaker 2: That I think this whole thing, like, look, you know
- 21:03Speaker 2: what this is in some ways is and you mentioned
- 21:07Speaker 2: it earlier, right, you have the Tales of books that
- 21:10Speaker 2: we got, you know, for bounty hunters and those kind
- 21:13Speaker 2: of things. And I love the idea that this is
- 21:16Speaker 2: the Tales of Terror. Yeah, series that happens every year
- 21:20Speaker 2: and they're just little five minute you know, maybe maybe
- 21:23Speaker 2: seven minutes shorts that that could could you know, tie in?
- 21:29Speaker 2: But yeah, I mean, hey, I guess Disney, we're doing
- 21:32Speaker 2: your job for you.
- 21:33Speaker 1: How many weeks in a row? Is this for as
- 21:35Speaker 1: a twelve that we've been doing these three ideas for them?
- 21:38Speaker 1: I like, could so listen considering his track record, especially
- 21:42Speaker 1: after hearing about the the hunt for Ben Solo, you know,
- 21:45Speaker 1: maybe mister iig or give us a call, you know,
- 21:46Speaker 1: we can help out here anyway. I think what's what's
- 21:52Speaker 1: an even better idea is for people to find you
- 21:54Speaker 1: on the internet and stalk you Freddy Krueger style with
- 21:58Speaker 1: their ideas for Star Wars Tales of Terror. Where can
- 22:03Speaker 1: they find you out there?
- 22:04Speaker 2: That's terrify But you can find me all over social
- 22:07Speaker 2: media under the name Matt Rushing Zoe two. Of course
- 22:10Speaker 2: you're on the network, you'll find me doing a completed
- 22:12Speaker 2: show called Outpost about every single chapter the Harry Potter series,
- 22:16Speaker 2: one chapter time. I'm over on the TFM network. I've
- 22:19Speaker 2: got a few shows over there. The main one is
- 22:22Speaker 2: the six O two Club. We were talking about all
- 22:24Speaker 2: of those franchises we love outside of Star Trek, so
- 22:27Speaker 2: John's a frequent guest over there. We talk Star Wars
- 22:30Speaker 2: plus all of the other things that we just love
- 22:32Speaker 2: in the geeky universes, plus a lot of great Star
- 22:37Speaker 2: Trek talk over there with Chris Jones. We're talking you know, Enterprise,
- 22:42Speaker 2: d Space nine, Strange New Worlds, per Card Voyager, I mean,
- 22:47Speaker 2: you name it, we're talking it. So check all that out.
- 22:49Speaker 2: But John, maybe people have some spooky ideas for you
- 22:53Speaker 2: for your next I don't know. Maybe you could do
- 22:56Speaker 2: a haunted house where could people.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Find way haunted Star Wars house would be great, but
- 23:00Speaker 1: it's more effort that I'm willing to make, so somebody
- 23:02Speaker 1: else take that idea up. Please, But if you want
- 23:05Speaker 1: to tell me what your ideas are, I'm over at
- 23:07Speaker 1: Cassele Junkie out there in the wilds of the Internet.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Have fun. I'm very much more active on Letterboxed than
- 23:13Speaker 1: any other social media network, and you can find me
- 23:16Speaker 1: here on the network, co hosting a show called house
- 23:19Speaker 1: Lights with Darren Moser and Tristan Ridel, where we talk
- 23:21Speaker 1: about movies done by different directors as we record this.
- 23:25Speaker 1: We have just recorded a two hundred and fiftieth episode
- 23:28Speaker 1: where we discussed the Ten Commandments by Cecil B. De Mille,
- 23:32Speaker 1: the nineteen fifties one and that was a fun conversation.
- 23:36Speaker 1: And so you know, we've probably talked about one of
- 23:39Speaker 1: your favorite directors. Give us a listen. But Matt, I'll
- 23:42Speaker 1: tell you what. I'm starting to get a little creeped
- 23:44Speaker 1: out right now. I think that I heard something snap
- 23:47Speaker 1: in the corner over there. I think it's time to
- 23:48Speaker 1: go back to the Jedi temple and lock ourselves in
- 23:52Speaker 1: our chambers. And so I think it's time to close
- 23:55Speaker 1: these negotiations.
- 23:58Speaker 2: John Is, an Egyptian pharaoh, once said, so let it
- 24:02Speaker 2: be written, so let it be done.
- 24:08Speaker 3: Join the revolution, Join the nerd Party,
