- 0:48Speaker 5: This Morning.
- 0:49Speaker 3: You know, you talk about cleaning up and snow and
- 0:52Speaker 3: plowing and moving snow and shoveling and stuff. It's hit
- 0:56Speaker 3: me that, you know, I was in a hotel for
- 0:58Speaker 3: two days, didn't shovel any thing. Haven't really been driving.
- 1:01Speaker 3: I've been taking ubers everywhere because of the pain in
- 1:04Speaker 3: my knee. It's not back to where it needs to
- 1:05Speaker 3: be with mobility. You just made me think to myself
- 1:08Speaker 3: that I'm going to get one heck of a workout
- 1:10Speaker 3: in when time comes to actually clear the stuff that's
- 1:14Speaker 3: all over my driveway.
- 1:15Speaker 4: Well, hopefully it'll melt before you have to worry about
- 1:17Speaker 4: it on.
- 1:17Speaker 5: Your lips to God's ears.
- 1:19Speaker 4: Unless, of course, we get another storm this weekend.
- 1:21Speaker 5: Well let's not talk about that. Well that's not You're right,
- 1:23Speaker 5: it's a little too soon.
- 1:25Speaker 3: I mean, I like winter and I like snow, but
- 1:27Speaker 3: I don't like dealing with this cleanup stuff. Man trying
- 1:30Speaker 3: to drive to and fro or I really don't want
- 1:32Speaker 3: to go back to the hotel. I think Crash just
- 1:35Speaker 3: screamed over in his studio over there. Anyway, we're Toby

- 3:59Speaker 3: feeling okay today? How's your head? Where's your head at
- 4:02Speaker 3: this morning? Still stuck in having to deal with snow
- 4:06Speaker 3: at the house, or maybe you had some unexpected curve
- 4:09Speaker 3: balls because of the weather. Maybe you wish the kids
- 4:12Speaker 3: were going back to school. You might need something that
- 4:14Speaker 3: will help turn your day around or If your day's
- 4:16Speaker 3: going great so far, maybe this will help make it

- 4:22Speaker 3: with Toby and Chilly in the Morning. Thursday morning at
- 4:26Speaker 3: ninety seven point one WASCHFM with Toby and Chilly in
- 4:29Speaker 3: the Morning, and now it is time for us together
- 4:32Speaker 3: to pause.
- 4:33Speaker 4: And share a quote with you to put you into
- 4:36Speaker 4: a better morning mindset.
- 4:37Speaker 5: Hopefully this helps.
- 4:38Speaker 3: It's from Neil Gaman this morning, who says, I hope
- 4:41Speaker 3: that in this year to come you make mistakes because
- 4:44Speaker 3: if you are making mistakes, you're doing something.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Well.
- 4:49Speaker 3: I'll say that again. I hope that in this year
- 4:53Speaker 3: to come Neil game and says you make mistakes because
- 4:56Speaker 3: if you are making mistakes, you're doing something. Failure is
- 5:02Speaker 3: not the enemy, it's not it's proof that you're pushing boundaries.
- 5:08Speaker 3: So go make better mistakes as you go through life today,
- 5:13Speaker 3: into the weekend and beyond. If you need that morning
- 5:17Speaker 3: mindset again, maybe you want to share it with somebody.
- 5:19Speaker 3: You'll find it to teby in Chilipage and washfm dot com.
- 5:21Speaker 3: It's also on her Insta and if you don't see
- 5:24Speaker 3: it on an insta, hit me with an email and
- 5:26Speaker 3: yell at me.
- 5:27Speaker 5: That's okay. I enjoy it. It's good for the soul.
- 5:30Speaker 3: And that's your morning mindset for this Thursday morning. Coming
- 5:33Speaker 3: up next with Toby and Chilly in the Morning.
- 5:35Speaker 4: Well, adults are getting together to tackle their to do lists.
- 5:39Speaker 4: They're calling it admin nights. We'll get more into this,
- 5:43Speaker 4: discuss what we would get done and also ask you
- 5:46Speaker 4: what you would do on set admin nights.
- 5:49Speaker 3: That's next, stay with us. There's a new trend we
- 5:51Speaker 3: want to tell you about this morning. It's ninety seven
- 5:53Speaker 3: point one wash FM, Toby and Chilly in the Morning.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Admin Nights. They're the new productivity trend which seems to
- 6:00Speaker 3: be taking over.
- 6:02Speaker 5: Have you heard of these admin nights.
- 6:04Speaker 4: It's a bunch of adults getting together tackling their to
- 6:07Speaker 4: do list and holding each other accountable.
- 6:10Speaker 3: So you mean it's kind of like Oprah's book Club,
- 6:13Speaker 3: only with adult tasks instead of books.
- 6:17Speaker 4: Yes, exactly. I think this is brilliant. I love this idea.
- 6:21Speaker 4: Getting together with some girlfriends. We all show up with
- 6:24Speaker 4: laptops or whatever to get stuff done and maybe have
- 6:29Speaker 4: a beverage or two. With a charcouterie board. It's got
- 6:32Speaker 4: my name written all over it.
- 6:34Speaker 6: Kay.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Look theoretically, chilly, I can see why it might seem
- 6:39Speaker 3: on the surface to be like a good idea, but
- 6:42Speaker 3: there's no way works getting done.
- 6:44Speaker 4: Let's be honest, really, because you would you wouldn't get
- 6:47Speaker 4: anything done.
- 6:47Speaker 5: No, are you kidding me?
- 6:49Speaker 3: First of all, I wouldn't want to pay my bills
- 6:51Speaker 3: in front of a bunch of my friends who I'm
- 6:52Speaker 3: hanging with for an admin night kind of a gimmick.
- 6:55Speaker 4: Why not?
- 6:55Speaker 3: No, because I don't want them to go knowing my
- 6:57Speaker 3: business and like hearing me yell at this bill or
- 7:00Speaker 3: that biller, like you know, medical bill.
- 7:02Speaker 5: Comes another one.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Ah, and then there's college tuish and y'all don't even
- 7:06Speaker 3: want to talk about that. Yeah, and I'm not drinking anymore,
- 7:09Speaker 3: so it's not like I can well lubricate my feels with.
- 7:14Speaker 5: Any kind of adult beverage.
- 7:16Speaker 3: So I would be like, y'all want to watch something
- 7:18Speaker 3: on TV, Let's go watch a game.
- 7:20Speaker 5: Does anybody have any video games we can play?
- 7:22Speaker 4: Oh? The feeling it may start productive even if I
- 7:25Speaker 4: were to do this, but then eventually we would end
- 7:27Speaker 4: up just catching up. Oh, I just have so many
- 7:29Speaker 4: insurance claims I got to put through it. Would be
- 7:32Speaker 4: nice to carve out time and be surrounded by friends
- 7:34Speaker 4: while we're all trying to accomplish that very pesky thing
- 7:38Speaker 4: on our to do.
- 7:38Speaker 3: You'd never get it done. Shock, I would get somebody
- 7:41Speaker 3: maybe one or two, maybe one or.
- 7:43Speaker 4: Twoo, that's one or two more than I had before.
- 7:45Speaker 3: And then the conversations and the shenanigans would descend into chaos.
- 7:50Speaker 3: This has been nice. Jilly thinks it's a great idea.
- 7:53Speaker 3: I'm like, eh, no, you got thoughts. Eight six, six, nine, two,
- 7:57Speaker 3: seven forty three sixty on is the number? Or you
- 7:59Speaker 3: can tap to talk back microphone if you're signed into
- 8:01Speaker 3: your hired app. What would you do on an admin night?
- 8:05Speaker 3: Or would you just skip the idea altogether? Either way,
- 8:08Speaker 3: we can't wait to hear from you, so give us
- 8:10Speaker 3: a call right now or tap that talk back microphone.
- 8:12Speaker 3: In the meantime, hang out because we're.

- 8:40Speaker 1: Ninety seven point one WASHFM, Washington, an iHeartRadio station, coming
- 8:46Speaker 1: up on Top Stories Top of the Hour.
- 8:48Speaker 4: DC is temporarily suspending fines for residents and businesses that
- 8:53Speaker 4: haven't cleared sidewalks. We've got the latest on that story
- 8:57Speaker 4: and others on the way with Toby in Chilly in
- 9:00Speaker 4: the Morning on ninety seven point one WASHFM.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Top Stories, Top of the Hour.
- 9:08Speaker 4: Several school systems in the DC area either remain closed
- 9:12Speaker 4: or have decided to open two hours late. If you
- 9:16Speaker 4: want to see the full list, you can at washfm
- 9:18Speaker 4: dot com slash closings. Well, after days of battling ice
- 9:22Speaker 4: and snow, Montgomery County executive Mark Elrich acknowledged residence frustration
- 9:27Speaker 4: over conflicting updates after their plow tracker mistakingly showed that
- 9:32Speaker 4: all residential streets had been cleared, So county officials say
- 9:36Speaker 4: that the tracker has been reset and will remain unchanged
- 9:39Speaker 4: until all the work is finished. Well. DC is temporarily
- 9:43Speaker 4: suspending fines for residents and businesses that have not yet
- 9:46Speaker 4: cleared the sidewalks. Acknowledging that it's going to take a
- 9:49Speaker 4: little extra time to remove the lingering snow and ice,
- 9:52Speaker 4: the mayor urged people to clear the sidewalx as soon
- 9:55Speaker 4: as possible, even though the city typically requires them to
- 9:58Speaker 4: be cleared within eight hours of daylight after a storm.
- 10:02Speaker 4: In other news, the Department of Homeland Security says that
- 10:04Speaker 4: two agents that were involved in the deadly shooting of
- 10:07Speaker 4: Alex Pretty in Minneapolis have been placed on administrative leave.
- 10:12Speaker 4: Officials say this is part of their standard protocol. Well,
- 10:16Speaker 4: the Federal Reserve has decided to keep interest rates steady.
- 10:20Speaker 4: The decision ends a streak of three straight quarter point
- 10:23Speaker 4: cuts to rates, and a new report from the American
- 10:27Speaker 4: Lung Association shows that the DC area receives some failing
- 10:31Speaker 4: grades for tobacco control, mainly because of weak funding for
- 10:35Speaker 4: prevention programs. While places like DC and Maryland have strong
- 10:39Speaker 4: smoke free and flavored tobacco laws, experts say that more
- 10:44Speaker 4: needs to be done to help people quit. Forecasts for
- 10:48Speaker 4: today another cold one. A cold weather advisory remains in
- 10:51Speaker 4: effect till eleven am. Otherwise, partly cloudy with highs around
- 10:56Speaker 4: twenty five right now thirteen frigid degrees in Chantilly and.
- 11:01Speaker 5: That is the news.
- 11:02Speaker 3: Remember to tell at least five friends that you get
- 11:05Speaker 3: your news with Toby and Chilly in the Morning top
- 11:07Speaker 3: stories at the top of the hour and you learn
- 11:10Speaker 3: new things. Like we were talking about admin nights. Would
- 11:14Speaker 3: you embrace an admin night? What would you work with
- 11:18Speaker 3: other of your friends hanging out with you to get
- 11:21Speaker 3: done on your to do list? Eight six six ninety
- 11:24Speaker 3: two seven forty three sixty one. Good idea, bad idea?
- 11:27Speaker 3: What do you think of an admin night? Give us
- 11:30Speaker 3: a call now, join the conversation. Tap to talk back
- 11:32Speaker 3: microphone if you want to.
- 11:33Speaker 5: That works.
- 11:34Speaker 3: We're gonna get back into this next. There's a new
- 11:38Speaker 3: trend sweeping the nation. It's called an admin night. Toby
- 11:41Speaker 3: and Chilly in the Morning ninety seven point one. Watch
- 11:44Speaker 3: FM at eight six six ninety two seven forty three
- 11:46Speaker 3: sixty one.
- 11:47Speaker 5: That's the number.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Tap to talk back microphone if you're signed in listening
- 11:50Speaker 3: on your IR app? Are you a fan of admin nights?
- 11:52Speaker 3: What would be on your admin night to do list?
- 11:55Speaker 6: Now?
- 11:55Speaker 5: If you missed it.
- 11:56Speaker 4: Admin nights are when adults get together with friends and
- 11:59Speaker 4: tackle the to do list together. So they're holding each
- 12:02Speaker 4: other accountable for things they have to get done.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Translation, they're having a little party, as it were, and
- 12:09Speaker 3: they're going to try to work on adult things.
- 12:12Speaker 5: So negative.
- 12:13Speaker 3: There are some people that are gathered in the name
- 12:16Speaker 3: of Anything Chile and you throwing adult beverages and you
- 12:20Speaker 3: say you're going to accomplish the task.
- 12:22Speaker 5: It becomes like the Boozy book Club.
- 12:24Speaker 4: Well at least it's some sort of a club. But
- 12:26Speaker 4: nothing gets done in your circle facts.
- 12:29Speaker 3: I won't contest. Let's go over here to Stefan, who's
- 12:32Speaker 3: calling us from Laurel this morning. Steffan, the ADMIN night,
- 12:35Speaker 3: what would you do? What would be on your adminnight
- 12:38Speaker 3: to do list?
- 12:39Speaker 7: I think this a general cleaning of the house would
- 12:41Speaker 7: be the best use of an AD midnight.
- 12:43Speaker 4: Why is that such a challenge for you.
- 12:45Speaker 7: It's just me and my three sons living in the house,
- 12:47Speaker 7: and hey, I can forget a bit on the messy side.
- 12:50Speaker 7: One night a month would probably do it. Just buckle
- 12:53Speaker 7: down and get it all done. Might have to start
- 12:55Speaker 7: doing that.
- 12:55Speaker 5: Well, that's one way to spend an AD midnight. I guess.
- 12:58Speaker 4: I guess but how are your friends going to be
- 13:00Speaker 4: just like working on their laptops? So while you're cleaning
- 13:03Speaker 4: the house, all right, how does that work?
- 13:05Speaker 3: Hey, you missed his spot. You might want to get
- 13:07Speaker 3: the vacuum and do that again. Toby and Chilly in
- 13:09Speaker 3: the Morning talking about AD midnights. What would be on
- 13:12Speaker 3: your AD midnight.
- 13:13Speaker 5: To do list? Lacy, Good morning in Silver Spring.
- 13:16Speaker 8: Go ahead, I do bu review, laundry and meal prep
- 13:20Speaker 8: and then I sneak in a bubble back while I'm
- 13:21Speaker 8: checking my calendar. AD midnight is stressful, but it's also
- 13:25Speaker 8: oddly satisfying.
- 13:27Speaker 4: Well are you doing this by yourself? The whole bubble
- 13:29Speaker 4: bath thing, because that would be really weird. Hey, guys,
- 13:33Speaker 4: you can continue paying your bills, but I'm just gonna
- 13:35Speaker 4: go take a bath now.
- 13:36Speaker 5: I would like to be invited to your AD midnight.
- 13:39Speaker 5: What you had me at bubble bath?
- 13:41Speaker 3: Toby and Chilly in the Morning eight six six ninety
- 13:43Speaker 3: seven forty three sixty one or tap that talk back
- 13:45Speaker 3: microphone if you want to add your voice to the
- 13:47Speaker 3: conversation about adminnights. You can read more about it too
- 13:49Speaker 3: on the Toby and chilipage ashiff In dot com. Don't
- 13:52Speaker 3: go anywhere because you are minutes away from Oh.
- 13:55Speaker 4: My husband had a medical emergency last week, which is
- 13:58Speaker 4: why I was out. But I learned a very value lesson.
- 14:01Speaker 3: You learned a lesson during a medical emergency, I did,
- 14:04Speaker 3: now not to freak out in the er.
- 14:07Speaker 4: Well something like that.
- 14:08Speaker 3: Hang on, she'll tell us this story, and we're all
- 14:11Speaker 3: gonna have to gather around to hear.
- 14:13Speaker 5: This lesson because now I'm curious, Zobe and Chilly.
- 14:16Speaker 3: In the morning, it is ninety seven point one wash FM.
- 14:19Speaker 3: I forget exactly which night it was, but I got
- 14:21Speaker 3: a text from you, Chili that said Don is not well.
- 14:26Speaker 5: We're on the way to the er yep.
- 14:28Speaker 3: And you said to me a minute ago that you
- 14:31Speaker 3: learned something from this experience, so take us on this journey.
- 14:33Speaker 4: So, first of all, he's doing really well. It ended
- 14:36Speaker 4: up being gallstones and a stone that also had gotten
- 14:39Speaker 4: stuck in a bile duct of his and he had
- 14:42Speaker 4: to have two separate procedures. He's resting, he's fine.
- 14:45Speaker 6: Now.
- 14:46Speaker 4: Going back to that night, which I believe was Wednesday night,
- 14:50Speaker 4: I had already gone to bed and he came in
- 14:52Speaker 4: like screaming in pain. He'd been having these abdominal pain
- 14:56Speaker 4: issues off and on, upper abdominal for about a month
- 14:58Speaker 4: or so, and this particular time it seemed worse and
- 15:03Speaker 4: I said to him, we are going to the emergency room.
- 15:07Speaker 4: Like he wasn't willing to do that unless I said,
- 15:10Speaker 4: oh no, we're doing this.
- 15:11Speaker 5: We're not passing go, we're not collecting dollars. We are
- 15:14Speaker 5: going not negotiating him, that's right.
- 15:16Speaker 4: So I arranged for my sister to come take care
- 15:18Speaker 4: of our son. We went to the er. And here's
- 15:21Speaker 4: where the learning experience comes in. I find this is
- 15:24Speaker 4: probably true with a lot of partners, you know, married
- 15:27Speaker 4: or whatnot. One of you guys probably has a better
- 15:30Speaker 4: memory than the other. And when you get to the
- 15:32Speaker 4: emergency room, you are asked a series of questions regarding
- 15:36Speaker 4: your symptoms because they are trying to also narrow down
- 15:41Speaker 4: what the issue might be so they know what to.
- 15:43Speaker 5: Test for sure.
- 15:44Speaker 4: And so they would ask my husband questions like when
- 15:46Speaker 4: it was the last time this happened, or when did
- 15:49Speaker 4: this start? And let's just say I had to answer
- 15:54Speaker 4: for him oftentimes because his recollection was a bit different
- 15:59Speaker 4: than mine. I'm being more accurate.
- 16:01Speaker 3: Oh lord, why does this sound oddly familiar with you
- 16:04Speaker 3: and your girl somewhere. My significant other is going see.
- 16:09Speaker 4: See I know, and even though it may have been
- 16:12Speaker 4: annoying to him at the time, I'll be like, well, no, honey,
- 16:15Speaker 4: that's not true, because remember this happened on Tuesday, and
- 16:19Speaker 4: it happened this long, and your attack lasted this much.
- 16:22Speaker 4: Oh no, no, no, the last time you ate was
- 16:23Speaker 4: actually blah blah blah. All of this matters, and I

- 22:03Speaker 3: for the snow that we had?
- 22:04Speaker 5: Toby and Chilly in the morning.
- 22:05Speaker 3: It's ninety seven point one Watch FM because you know,
- 22:08Speaker 3: in case you missed it, we did have a significant
- 22:10Speaker 3: weather event.
- 22:11Speaker 5: There might even be another one.
- 22:13Speaker 3: I don't want to talk too much about it and
- 22:14Speaker 3: speak it into reality, but you know you can never
- 22:17Speaker 3: prepare too much, I think for something that is out
- 22:20Speaker 3: of your hands, like the weather.
- 22:22Speaker 5: How did your planning go? Did it all work out? Chili?
- 22:25Speaker 2: Yes?
- 22:25Speaker 4: Actually it did. I mean I was in the hospital
- 22:27Speaker 4: with my husband towards the end of last week, but
- 22:31Speaker 4: my sister ran a couple of errands for us food wise,
- 22:34Speaker 4: and I feel like we had just enough food, and
- 22:37Speaker 4: we had salt. We had shovels that were very effective
- 22:40Speaker 4: and pickaxe to cut through the ice.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Well, you needed that pickaxe. Let me just tell you,
- 22:45Speaker 3: so you'll need that pickaxe.
- 22:47Speaker 4: We still do. But no, I think I think we
- 22:49Speaker 4: did a pretty good job. I don't think we went
- 22:50Speaker 4: overboard in any way. What about you in the past.
- 22:52Speaker 4: I've gone wicket overboard. Yeah, crazy overboard.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Like I went to home depot and about the best
- 22:58Speaker 3: shovels I could find. I bought like more fireflakes, which
- 23:02Speaker 3: is kind of like, you know, salt, but they call
- 23:04Speaker 3: it fireflakes that I needed and I still have like
- 23:06Speaker 3: three bags of those. The problem is this Chilli. I
- 23:10Speaker 3: am over prepared for snow, but I ended up staying
- 23:13Speaker 3: in the hotel next door, so I didn't really have
- 23:15Speaker 3: to do anything, but yeah, just make sure I got
- 23:17Speaker 3: to the hotel.
- 23:17Speaker 5: That's it. Okay, Nutty seven point one.

- 23:38Speaker 5: So how did your snow prep go? Did it work out?
- 23:41Speaker 6: I have a huge driveway at my home. It's probably
- 23:44Speaker 6: about one hundred feet long, and so it requires a
- 23:48Speaker 6: lot of salt.
- 23:49Speaker 5: I didn't get enough salt.
- 23:50Speaker 6: I only got half enough, so now it's had to
- 23:54Speaker 6: spread it even more so I'm unlikely to be able
- 23:57Speaker 6: to get out of the driveway anyways.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Work Edward.
- 24:01Speaker 4: This was a tough storm because we had sleet on
- 24:03Speaker 4: top of snow, and that salt was pretty useless unless
- 24:07Speaker 4: you timed it just right.
- 24:09Speaker 5: Yeah, there was nothing great about the way this fell.
- 24:11Speaker 5: It was not a winner Wonderland, that's for sure.
