Tanganyika Wildlife Park just welcomed a rare baby giant anteater — one of only two born in North America this year — and it’s already turning heads. The surprise birth came after months of anticipation, with mom Amara finally giving birth standing up on her tail, just as the staff had predicted from her behavior. The tiny pup is thriving, nursing and riding on its mama’s back, blending seamlessly with her stripes for camouflage.
