- 0:08Speaker 1: And I invited you here. I thought I made myself
- 0:14Speaker 1: perfectly clear.
- 0:17Speaker 2: When you're a.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Guess to my home, you gotta come to me empty.
- 0:23Speaker 1: And I said, no, guess, your presences presents enough. I
- 0:31Speaker 1: already had too much stuff.
- 0:35Speaker 3: So how did you dare to surbey me? Welcome to
- 0:50Speaker 3: I said, no gifts. I'm Bridger Winegar. We are not
- 0:55Speaker 3: in the backyard. We're in a recording studio, so official.
- 1:00Speaker 3: This is the first time in over four years, you know,
- 1:03Speaker 3: since the little speed bump of the global pandemic that
- 1:07Speaker 3: kind of stopped us from being in a recording studio.
- 1:10Speaker 3: We're not in the backyard. I feel like a feral
- 1:13Speaker 3: cat in the house. I feel this is going to
- 1:15Speaker 3: be an adjustment period. We've all got to just brace ourselves.
- 1:19Speaker 3: But eventually I'll stop clawing the furniture. Everything will work
- 1:24Speaker 3: out and will feel great, and then there'll be video.
- 1:26Speaker 3: That's the big deal here. Everyone's got to have a
- 1:28Speaker 3: video at this point, so we'll see how all of
- 1:31Speaker 3: this goes. What's going on? What is happening in my life? Well,
- 1:37Speaker 3: I drove half an hour today to an appointment that
- 1:40Speaker 3: canceled ten minutes before the appointment, So I just let
- 1:43Speaker 3: that ruin my entire day, just let that kind of
- 1:46Speaker 3: seep in. But I did get two gorgeous loads of
- 1:50Speaker 3: laundry done. I'm on top of things. We're in the
- 1:54Speaker 3: studio and we should just let's get into the podcast.
- 1:57Speaker 3: I'm so thrilled about today's guest. It's Jim O'Hare. Jim,
- 2:01Speaker 3: welcome to so Bridget.
- 2:02Speaker 2: What is this you mentioned about a global pandemic. Oh,
- 2:06Speaker 2: I don't know if I'm familiar with that.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Well, it was a hoax, so you're probably more on
- 2:11Speaker 3: top of the Yeah.
- 2:13Speaker 2: I travel a lot, so I just I wasn't aware
- 2:15Speaker 2: of something had happened.
- 2:16Speaker 3: We were on a lot of planes, were a lot.
- 2:18Speaker 2: I was up in the air a lot, So I
- 2:20Speaker 2: really don't know what happened down here. I don't like
- 2:22Speaker 2: to know what goes on down here. So it all
- 2:24Speaker 2: worked out for me.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Well, I wish I could say the same for myself,
- 2:28Speaker 3: but I made it through, and thank God for my
- 2:32Speaker 3: I was just telling you the backyard, which I feel
- 2:35Speaker 3: like the listener is probably going to be screaming about
- 2:37Speaker 3: for a while. Get back to the backyard. We'll just
- 2:40Speaker 3: see what happened.
- 2:41Speaker 2: For those who are listening, and I know you're saying,
- 2:43Speaker 2: this is one of the first, if not the first
- 2:45Speaker 2: time you're in this studio first time. This is a
- 2:47Speaker 2: gorgeous studio. The building is gorgeous. This is I know
- 2:51Speaker 2: nothing about your backyard. Maybe it too was gorgeous. I
- 2:53Speaker 2: can't speak to it, but I can tell you, listener,
- 2:56Speaker 2: this is quite the setup, like really producing and microphones
- 3:02Speaker 2: and all the good stuff.
- 3:03Speaker 3: It's too all the good stuff.
- 3:05Speaker 2: It is a lot. The building is amazing when you
- 3:07Speaker 2: want enormous, so normous.
- 3:08Speaker 3: My god, I could hide in here.
- 3:10Speaker 2: You could hide in here. And I, for one, I'm
- 3:11Speaker 2: glad I'm not sweating in your backyard. So that's that's
- 3:15Speaker 2: not that's me, that's Jim O'Hare. Others might be negative
- 3:19Speaker 2: about that. I am on board with not being in
- 3:21Speaker 2: your backyard.
- 3:22Speaker 3: What can I do to get you sweating in my backyard?
- 3:24Speaker 2: Wow? Others, well, let's see twenty bucks. I'll use you
- 3:28Speaker 2: do most anything. Ha. Yeah, my only fans, you know,
- 3:32Speaker 2: stuff like that. Other people, there are some people will
- 3:34Speaker 2: pay me the sweat. There's a whole community out there.
- 3:38Speaker 2: I don't judge. I don't judge.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Okay, Well, you'll be getting a request I'm gonna I
- 3:41Speaker 3: will be signing up your only fans. I'm going to
- 3:43Speaker 3: be making big demands, huge, disgusting.
- 3:47Speaker 2: And for twenty bucks, I engage all of them. Yes,
- 3:50Speaker 2: so just so people know.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Well, that's good to know, very good information. I am nothing.
- 3:56Speaker 2: I tried to open it only fans. They wouldn't let me.
- 3:58Speaker 2: They literally said, no, this is where we this is
- 4:01Speaker 2: where we draw the line. A site they will let
- 4:03Speaker 2: anyone do anything said no, no, this is where we
- 4:06Speaker 2: draw the line.
- 4:07Speaker 3: I ran into the same problem. I created a burner
- 4:10Speaker 3: account and I am producing a lot of content. There's
- 4:15Speaker 3: some explicit material just pouring onto the entry.
- 4:18Speaker 2: I need access, I need excess.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Well, it's free. People will not pay.
- 4:22Speaker 2: People aren't even paying.
- 4:25Speaker 3: No, but I am thinking about trying to sneak in
- 4:27Speaker 3: here and stay the night. You should think that would
- 4:29Speaker 3: be a nice little surprise for everybody.
- 4:32Speaker 2: It would be a lovely surprise, and it's temperate. You'd
- 4:34Speaker 2: be very comfortable.
- 4:35Speaker 3: What a way to lose my contract?
- 4:38Speaker 2: Oh a contract? Boy? Aren't you fancy?
- 4:40Speaker 3: Wow? You have a podcast?
- 4:42Speaker 2: You have a contract Parks and recollection. Apparently I do
- 4:46Speaker 2: they pay me? I don't know. I guess I signed something.
- 4:48Speaker 2: I am just this is not this is sad, but
- 4:51Speaker 2: it's true. I am terrible about business. I'm terrible about contracts.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Today I had to sign something and I didn't read it.
- 5:00Speaker 2: I'm just like, I trust everybody around me, which I
- 5:03Speaker 2: know will not hold up in court when I'm being
- 5:05Speaker 2: sued for god knows what. But I started reading it
- 5:09Speaker 2: says the party of the first part, party of the
- 5:11Speaker 2: second and clause thirteen. B oh no no no, no, no, no,
- 5:14Speaker 2: no no. I trust that the people who are there
- 5:18Speaker 2: to take care of me have taken care of me.
- 5:20Speaker 2: And I just signed my name.
- 5:22Speaker 3: This is fully my I mean, I am absolutely a
- 5:25Speaker 3: target to be taken advantage too. I'm first of all,
- 5:27Speaker 3: I'm lazy, so I'm not going to be doing the
- 5:29Speaker 3: reading me. And then I'm very trusting. Yes, I feel
- 5:33Speaker 3: like I do. I'm like, oh, if I get into court,
- 5:34Speaker 3: I'll just be like, well, I'm a nice guy.
- 5:36Speaker 2: I meant, well, well, head's Upbradge or ed doesn't hold
- 5:39Speaker 2: up in front of a judge because they're going to go,
- 5:41Speaker 2: you're an adult, you should be taking BLI me, I
- 5:43Speaker 2: am the same as you. I would just be like,
- 5:45Speaker 2: you know, what is a mercy of the court. I
- 5:47Speaker 2: would just be falling on the floor because I just
- 5:50Speaker 2: I do count on people being trustworthy. I feel like
- 5:53Speaker 2: I'm really trustworthy. I wouldn't try to rip somebody off,
- 5:56Speaker 2: so I don't think anyone else will try it. And
- 5:58Speaker 2: I do, I mean joking about but I do have
- 6:00Speaker 2: people around me. I do believe they are taking care
- 6:04Speaker 2: of me.
- 6:05Speaker 3: But until you find your judas exactly, they've all got
- 6:08Speaker 3: a judas in the shadows.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Wait, someone did try to kiss me earlier today, right
- 6:12Speaker 2: before I signed. Interesting, it's something to think.
- 6:15Speaker 3: About after a really fantastic dinner.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Yes, not fantastic, but okay. And I'll kiss even after
- 6:21Speaker 2: an okay dinner, just for the record, for those who
- 6:23Speaker 2: are looking, it doesn't even need to be great.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Have you have you ever been betrayed? Wow?
- 6:32Speaker 2: I don't think I've ever been asked that question. I've
- 6:34Speaker 2: been disappointed you in life, you know, here and there,
- 6:39Speaker 2: in relationships and friends here and there, boy betrayed because
- 6:43Speaker 2: betrayal to me is is is a lot bigger than disappointed,
- 6:47Speaker 2: of course, like the betrayals like are you efing kidding me?
- 6:51Speaker 2: You went this direction? So I don't think at least
- 6:55Speaker 2: nothing's jumping out that I've been betrayed? Have you?
- 6:57Speaker 3: I mean as I First of all, I should not
- 7:00Speaker 3: be asking.
- 7:01Speaker 2: No, I think it's good.
- 7:03Speaker 3: I'm gonna ask every guest I think, tell me about
- 7:05Speaker 3: your deepest.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Betrayal, because I want to hear. I want the dirt.
- 7:08Speaker 3: I'm trying to think if I've really been betrayed before.
- 7:10Speaker 3: I feel like the closest I've gotten is food poisoning.
- 7:13Speaker 3: I'm like, because I tried food so much.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Oh that's true. Well, look at me. I trust food
- 7:17Speaker 2: every day.
- 7:17Speaker 3: Right, every single day, and when you get food poisoning,
- 7:20Speaker 3: it really does feel like, oh, I you know I
- 7:22Speaker 3: trusted the restaurant.
- 7:24Speaker 2: That's actually that's a good betrayal. It's a huge even
- 7:27Speaker 2: though they're not individually calling you out right, it's not
- 7:30Speaker 2: that type of betrayal, but it's still a betrayal.
- 7:32Speaker 3: And maybe it is that maybe they you know, is
- 7:35Speaker 3: here put this not in the burrito lettuce exactly.
- 7:40Speaker 2: I was in. I was doing a theater gig in
- 7:42Speaker 2: Kansas City a few months ago. Uh, and I got
- 7:46Speaker 2: something called neurovirus oh, which I had never heard of.
- 7:50Speaker 3: I've only heard of this on cruise.
- 7:51Speaker 2: It's a big ass cruise ship thing. And I still
- 7:55Speaker 2: didn't wory. I said to the factor, Ah, the hell,
- 7:57Speaker 2: because I mean it was they had I had going instroom.
- 8:00Speaker 2: They were pumping me in both arms with fluids and
- 8:02Speaker 2: the shows I never missed a show like it was
- 8:04Speaker 2: one of those the show must go on kind of things.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Even though the theater was so gracious, like Jim, we
- 8:09Speaker 2: have your understudy, we can do this. But you know,
- 8:11Speaker 2: people paid to see me, and I'm one of those people, like,
- 8:13Speaker 2: oh God, I can make it happen. But they were
- 8:16Speaker 2: filling me with the fluids at both arms. I said, how
- 8:18Speaker 2: did this happen? And he goes, somebody didn't wash their
- 8:20Speaker 2: hands after they went to the bathroom. And then I
- 8:23Speaker 2: start really getting freaked out, like, ah, God, all day long,
- 8:25Speaker 2: we're touching things that people touched. You don't wash their
- 8:28Speaker 2: hands after they go to the bathroom.
- 8:30Speaker 3: Oh, almost anything you touch has been touched by somebody
- 8:33Speaker 3: with absolutely filthy hand filthy.
- 8:35Speaker 2: The good news though, sixteen pounds I lost sixteen of
- 8:39Speaker 2: course a liquid, but sixteen pounds. And I won't say
- 8:42Speaker 2: your name, Eve, though I love her to death. The
- 8:44Speaker 2: actress in the play was like, oh, I want nora
- 8:46Speaker 2: virus for a while. No, you know what this because okay,
- 8:50Speaker 2: this is way too much information.
- 8:51Speaker 3: That I'm going to share with everybody, please please.
- 8:54Speaker 2: It was so bad that during performances, I'm an adult
- 8:58Speaker 2: man who took all let's just say I put protection
- 9:03Speaker 2: between my cheeks because sitting, coughing, standing, I had no
- 9:09Speaker 2: idea what was gonna happen.
- 9:10Speaker 3: I would be in a full diaper.
- 9:12Speaker 2: That was I was too too proud to do the diaper,
- 9:16Speaker 2: which please, I'm heading that direction for sure, but at
- 9:18Speaker 2: this point I was still too proud and I didn't
- 9:20Speaker 2: do it. But it was and the cast was so great,
- 9:22Speaker 2: like Jim, because I had no energy. It was just
- 9:25Speaker 2: like sit when you need to, we'll figure out blocking,
- 9:27Speaker 2: we'll work around you. And I said, no, I'm gonna
- 9:30Speaker 2: be fine with all that, but I can't guarantee I'm
- 9:33Speaker 2: not gonna ship myself. I think I got I was clean,
- 9:37Speaker 2: the toilet paper always came out clean. But that's how
- 9:40Speaker 2: nervous I was, though, That's how unsure, because this neurovirus
- 9:44Speaker 2: is an m effort, like oh, I'm sure, wow, And
- 9:47Speaker 2: I had never I'd never experienced something like I had
- 9:50Speaker 2: food poisoning and it's over and like, you know, twelve
- 9:52Speaker 2: to twenty four hours. This was days and days.
- 9:56Speaker 3: How many shows did you perform with a neuro virus?
- 9:58Speaker 2: Uh? We do eight show a week. It was a
- 10:00Speaker 2: Broadway schedule. So I was sick from like Friday to
- 10:04Speaker 2: so eight seven or eight yeah, seven or eight shows,
- 10:09Speaker 2: don't remember exactly. And the cast I would like, almost
- 10:13Speaker 2: collapse after the show, and they were so concerned and
- 10:17Speaker 2: and like, you don't have to do this, we can
- 10:20Speaker 2: figure it out without you. But this theater's in Kansas
- 10:22Speaker 2: City and it's this amazing place I've done. It was
- 10:25Speaker 2: my third show there, and they normally bring in like
- 10:28Speaker 2: one kind of celebrity guests for every show. And the
- 10:30Speaker 2: show was doing very well, and you know, I'd like
- 10:33Speaker 2: to think that people were coming to see me. And
- 10:35Speaker 2: it's like, oh my god, they've they've paid for these
- 10:38Speaker 2: tickets and anyway, you were ruining the show.
- 10:41Speaker 3: People are like, he has no energy. Guy sucks.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Everyone kept saying I brought it once that once I
- 10:47Speaker 2: hit that stage, and I hope that's true because I
- 10:49Speaker 2: would hate for people to go and well, I think
- 10:51Speaker 2: he's shitting himself up there, honey, is he shitting? What's happening?
- 10:54Speaker 2: Why is Joe Aaron stage shitting in front of us?
- 10:57Speaker 2: I hope that's not what they were saying, but they
- 11:00Speaker 2: would be wrong because I don't think I did.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Now I have an idea for a show.
- 11:03Speaker 2: And do Yeah, yeah, that's one. I'm done.
- 11:07Speaker 3: I'm going to be producing. I'm going to Broadway with this.
- 11:10Speaker 3: With this general concept, one actor will always be at
- 11:14Speaker 3: risk of shipping.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Again, I like it. See if I'm available, if you
- 11:18Speaker 2: get to book the space, see if I'm available?
- 11:20Speaker 3: And now did you also throw up?
- 11:22Speaker 2: No? It was not that it was strictly below the
- 11:26Speaker 2: waist problem. I mean I wasn't. I didn't want food
- 11:29Speaker 2: like I wasn't. There was no hunger or anything. But no,
- 11:32Speaker 2: never never grab on the toilet bowl as far as
- 11:35Speaker 2: that just just just.
- 11:36Speaker 3: The other end and deeply dehydrated, deeply.
- 11:39Speaker 2: It was so funny because they gave me one bag
- 11:42Speaker 2: of fluids, I guess, and then they tested my blood
- 11:44Speaker 2: again and she goes, oh, we haven't made a dent.
- 11:46Speaker 2: So then they hook me to another bag with my
- 11:48Speaker 2: other arm. So it was it was crazy. But the
- 11:53Speaker 2: funny thing is I'm in Kansas City and the Chiefs
- 11:56Speaker 2: are kicking ass. They're heading toward the super Bowl, they're
- 11:58Speaker 2: in the playoffs. They emergency room because there was a
- 12:01Speaker 2: Chiefs game was empty. Oh empty, And she said, she goes, oh, no,
- 12:05Speaker 2: someone could have their arm cut off. They're not coming
- 12:06Speaker 2: in here until after that game. And she was right
- 12:09Speaker 2: because after the game the play started filling up. But
- 12:11Speaker 2: I had my own emergency room.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Wow. Love, that's very Beyon.
- 12:16Speaker 2: But the embarrassing part there was a male nurse, sweetest guy.
- 12:21Speaker 2: I wish I could remember his name, but he uh,
- 12:24Speaker 2: he recognized me, and you know he was this and
- 12:27Speaker 2: this and what he had to do for me. Oh,
- 12:30Speaker 2: I kept saying, I'm so embarrassed. You should never hear.
- 12:33Speaker 2: He goes, this is what I do. I go, I know,
- 12:35Speaker 2: but you know you know who I am. And because
- 12:37Speaker 2: you have to give samples of things exactly. Yes, there
- 12:43Speaker 2: are people out there right now because I will tell
- 12:45Speaker 2: you this, and I know I'm bouncing around topics here,
- 12:46Speaker 2: if that's okay with you.
- 12:48Speaker 3: No, this podcast is only one strictly we dive into
- 12:51Speaker 3: a topic and not straight Well.
- 12:53Speaker 2: I did a film right after Parks from Are called
- 12:56Speaker 2: The Middleman and we get we did what do he
- 12:59Speaker 2: called crowd funding? Oh? Sure, we raised because we had
- 13:02Speaker 2: money from producers. But then we raised I believe, around
- 13:04Speaker 2: one hundred and fifty hundred and sixty thousand, which you
- 13:06Speaker 2: know was amazing. And these people are so generous to give,
- 13:09Speaker 2: and so there were things we had to give as
- 13:13Speaker 2: incentive bonus. Some were easy summary, but one of them
- 13:17Speaker 2: was you got a phone call from me? Okay, So
- 13:20Speaker 2: one night they give me a burner phone because you
- 13:23Speaker 2: can't get the numbers. And I start making these phone
- 13:26Speaker 2: calls and the one guy he answers and I said, hey,
- 13:29Speaker 2: this is jim O Harre. I want to thank you.
- 13:30Speaker 2: So I goes, oh my god, well can you hold
- 13:32Speaker 2: Can you call me back in two minutes? Sure? I
- 13:36Speaker 2: felt like I caught him off guard, so I did
- 13:37Speaker 2: another phone call in the meantime then I could call
- 13:40Speaker 2: him back. Well, I found out as we were talking
- 13:44Speaker 2: he was having a good time while we were talking,
- 13:48Speaker 2: and he needed those two minutes to prep for that
- 13:52Speaker 2: good time. Oh yes, yes, and hey, I'm all for
- 13:56Speaker 2: having a good time. God bless you do whatever rocks
- 13:59Speaker 2: your world. But that threw me for and then he
- 14:02Speaker 2: that's assault. He let me experience his uh, his completion,
- 14:09Speaker 2: let's say, and the breathing. And I go, okay, well,
- 14:15Speaker 2: thank you for help because and I hugged the phone
- 14:18Speaker 2: up and I called the producer and I said, never again. Behavior,
- 14:24Speaker 2: I think it probably is.
- 14:26Speaker 3: How did you're not press charge? No?
- 14:28Speaker 2: I mean hell, he donated to the film? Hell, and
- 14:32Speaker 2: I just hung up, like, what is my life? What
- 14:35Speaker 2: is my life? Stupid stuff?
- 14:39Speaker 3: So what what was the conversation you were happening with
- 14:41Speaker 3: this guy while he was doing it.
- 14:43Speaker 2: I'm thanking him. I'm like so grateful in telling him
- 14:46Speaker 2: about the film. Every I think I believe the deal
- 14:49Speaker 2: was a five minute phone call. So I kind of
- 14:51Speaker 2: kept the clock going, you know, because you know you
- 14:54Speaker 2: want to come through sure, And so I'm just chatting
- 14:57Speaker 2: about the experience of filming it, just giving the rundown
- 15:01Speaker 2: of how in the cast we got this person and
- 15:03Speaker 2: that person we can't believe, you know, just all the excitement,
- 15:06Speaker 2: and I was excited that those weren't those phone calls
- 15:09Speaker 2: were legit, because I really Number one was so grateful
- 15:12Speaker 2: that strangers who don't know me would give me their
- 15:14Speaker 2: money and how lovely. And so I was always grateful
- 15:18Speaker 2: still grateful. And I was just talking about that, and
- 15:21Speaker 2: then I realized as I'm talking, he'd be like then.
- 15:27Speaker 2: And it took me a minute because you don't know
- 15:28Speaker 2: do people ever? Of course, who knows things go on?
- 15:34Speaker 2: But you know, I'm going to tell you a secret.
- 15:37Speaker 2: I know what those sounds are. Like, I'm not going to.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Tell you how where did you get this information?
- 15:42Speaker 2: I read about it somewhere about what these sounds. I
- 15:45Speaker 2: mean myself, I would have no idea personally, because I
- 15:48Speaker 2: would never do something like that, at least not more
- 15:51Speaker 2: than three times a day. But I would know, so
- 15:54Speaker 2: I knew what was going on. And then again the
- 15:56Speaker 2: big finish.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Yeah, and then did he say anything you or did
- 16:00Speaker 3: you just hang up?
- 16:01Speaker 2: It was so like, well, thank you so much. I
- 16:03Speaker 2: can't thank you enough. And the movie comes out, but
- 16:06Speaker 2: blah blah blah, and I hung up.
- 16:07Speaker 3: You are an angel? Well, God bless you needed a whistle.
- 16:10Speaker 3: You needed to blow a whistle into the phone like
- 16:12Speaker 3: in the seventies. Yes, the heavy breathers, the heavy breathers.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Yeah, oh wow, it was.
- 16:20Speaker 3: It was what a journey. Yeah, I wonder if you
- 16:23Speaker 3: saw the movie.
- 16:24Speaker 2: I have the feeling he did there's yes. I'm sure
- 16:28Speaker 2: he did. I have no doubt, and I'm guessing he
- 16:32Speaker 2: got a copy of it and that is something that
- 16:35Speaker 2: he enjoys here and there.
- 16:37Speaker 3: How much money did you have to donate to get
- 16:39Speaker 3: the call from you? Do you remember?
- 16:40Speaker 2: I'm going to think it was. It could be the
- 16:42Speaker 2: five hundred dollars level.
- 16:44Speaker 3: Okay, it was.
- 16:45Speaker 2: It was a bigger level. It wasn't like the twenty
- 16:47Speaker 2: buck level you get. I don't know what you got
- 16:49Speaker 2: for twenty bucks. Maybe a sign like I signed hundreds
- 16:52Speaker 2: and hundreds of head shots and that kind of thing
- 16:55Speaker 2: was easy. I think it was a five hundred dollars thing.
- 16:58Speaker 2: And there was a lot of people. And again, the
- 17:01Speaker 2: timing was tough to make all those calls because whatever
- 17:04Speaker 2: I was working on then, you know, because if you
- 17:07Speaker 2: call during the day, the people generally aren't home. And
- 17:09Speaker 2: I wanted to chat with like I wanted to.
- 17:12Speaker 3: Yeah, you wanted to keep your word, to keep my word.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Of course, I think it would have looked shitty if
- 17:17Speaker 2: I called like during the day to their home leave.
- 17:22Speaker 2: And actually sometimes I had to do that because we
- 17:24Speaker 2: would try three three three was the max, right, the
- 17:28Speaker 2: third try over a couple of days. If you didn't,
- 17:32Speaker 2: if I didn't get you, then it was just hey,
- 17:33Speaker 2: thank you, so you on a message, because I mean,
- 17:36Speaker 2: what can.
- 17:36Speaker 3: I I don't give my own family members three chances.
- 17:38Speaker 3: I know I could talk to them.
- 17:40Speaker 2: They do hate you, which is weird. I know we've
- 17:43Speaker 2: never met before, and yet I know all of your family.
- 17:45Speaker 3: They just like me that much. They're reaching.
- 17:47Speaker 2: It's deep, it's deep, ridger and I'll be honest, I've
- 17:49Speaker 2: only been here a few minutes. I see where they're
- 17:51Speaker 2: coming from.
- 17:51Speaker 3: Of course, I.
- 17:52Speaker 2: See where they're coming.
- 17:53Speaker 3: I'm finally starting like, oh, I can kind of see
- 17:57Speaker 3: what why they would feel this way about a person.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Beautiful.
- 18:00Speaker 3: Wow, what an experience. I cannot wrap my head around
- 18:03Speaker 3: what you've just told.
- 18:05Speaker 2: It's welcome in my world, yeah, Jim O'Hair world, ladies
- 18:10Speaker 2: and gentlemen.
- 18:10Speaker 3: I wonder if that guy's still alive.
- 18:12Speaker 2: No idea, And for all I know, i've seen him
- 18:14Speaker 2: since or you know, because I do appearances, I meet people.
- 18:18Speaker 2: I don't think he can ever say it.
- 18:20Speaker 3: Wow, he really, I mean, it feels nice to have
- 18:22Speaker 3: a fan. Let's just say that.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Let's there is a community out there. They're called, you know,
- 18:30Speaker 2: gay men who are into bears or chasers or into
- 18:33Speaker 2: big guys. Oh yeah, and people like does that freak
- 18:36Speaker 2: you out? Hell no, anyone who thinks I'm attractive? I
- 18:39Speaker 2: am on board? Are you kidding me? I did a
- 18:42Speaker 2: show once. I want see what the other actor was.
- 18:44Speaker 2: And this is many, many years ago. On the internet
- 18:46Speaker 2: was just happening, and this guy and I worked together,
- 18:48Speaker 2: another big guy on a very famous show at the time,
- 18:51Speaker 2: and he said, I want to talk to you about something. Yeah,
- 18:54Speaker 2: what's up? He goes, My wife saw something on the
- 18:56Speaker 2: internet and I am very uncomfortable with it. Oh, do
- 19:00Speaker 2: what's up? Because your internet was so new, you know,
- 19:02Speaker 2: you're getting you're doing the dial up of you trying
- 19:06Speaker 2: to get on and all this stuff. He said, Well,
- 19:08Speaker 2: he she found pictures of us on a gay website.
- 19:12Speaker 2: I said, well, what are we doing? Like, I don't
- 19:14Speaker 2: think I've done anything on a gay website. He goes, No,
- 19:17Speaker 2: they've taken pictures from television and put them on this website.
- 19:20Speaker 2: And it's you know, guys who think were attracted, right,
- 19:23Speaker 2: And I said, oh, that's kind of nice. He goes, Jim,
- 19:27Speaker 2: they're gay, I know, but I think we're attractive. I
- 19:31Speaker 2: kind of love that. Well his wife. They were horrified.
- 19:34Speaker 3: I mean screenshots from TV.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Shots from TV. But I will say this, the name
- 19:39Speaker 2: of the site, and I will tell you was not flattering,
- 19:42Speaker 2: and it might I have no idea if this site
- 19:44Speaker 2: still exists. And I'm not knocking it, because again I
- 19:46Speaker 2: thought it was all flattering. It was called whale watcher
- 19:50Speaker 2: dot com. Yes, so think about that. So that's not
- 19:54Speaker 2: the most flat. And it was like me and this
- 19:56Speaker 2: guy and John Goodman and Farley, great looking men, all good,
- 20:01Speaker 2: big guys, right, all the big guys were on this
- 20:03Speaker 2: and they just took screenshots but there I don't know
- 20:06Speaker 2: how they got them from the television.
- 20:08Speaker 3: There was no They probably have a tumbler called whale watcher,
- 20:11Speaker 3: and I should I.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Have no idea, but yes I was. I wasn't thrilled
- 20:14Speaker 2: with the name, right, that's what I was not offended
- 20:17Speaker 2: by the content.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Oh yeah, somebody feels like I'm good looking you. That's
- 20:21Speaker 3: all I want in the world.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Tell me, tell me, tell me, I love it.
- 20:25Speaker 3: I'll take as much as I can possibly exactly.
- 20:27Speaker 2: I have no issues with that.
- 20:29Speaker 3: Well. Look, speaking of inappropriate behavior, disgusting behavior.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Yes, I call that Tuesday through Friday.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Well it's Thursday, gym, so I'm right in the mix. Yeah.
- 20:42Speaker 3: I was really excited to have you here on the podcast. Really, yes,
- 20:46Speaker 3: I was thrilled to have you. I thought, Jim will come,
- 20:49Speaker 3: we'll have a nice conversation.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Never thinking it would be this.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Maybe things will dip into assault by phone. Who knows
- 20:59Speaker 3: it'll be, so at the end of the day, we'll
- 21:01Speaker 3: walk away no feelings hurt. The podcast is called they
- 21:04Speaker 3: said no gifts.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Yes, so you know you're.
- 21:06Speaker 3: An entertainment professional. I thought, Jim certainly has read the emails.
- 21:10Speaker 3: He knows the title of the podcast. He's going to
- 21:13Speaker 3: come in without anything.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Well it says no gifts, So yeah, you.
- 21:16Speaker 3: Walk into the studio holding Well, couldn't more clearly be
- 21:20Speaker 3: a gift for me?
- 21:22Speaker 2: Here's the thing. I'm a gentleman. Oh I am a
- 21:27Speaker 2: I don't show up empty handed anywhere. I've learned those
- 21:30Speaker 2: lessons so that I couldn't even though you said I
- 21:34Speaker 2: said no gifts, Okay, I have to bring a gift.
- 21:37Speaker 2: It's who I am, right, So it wouldn't matter if
- 21:40Speaker 2: this title was don't shit in your pants. I'm someone
- 21:44Speaker 2: who does, and so I will show up here. There's
- 21:47Speaker 2: a chance something has happened while I've been sitting here
- 21:50Speaker 2: that you and your people who clean up later can
- 21:53Speaker 2: figure that out.
- 21:53Speaker 3: It's a mess.
- 21:54Speaker 2: It's a mess in here. No I did. I will
- 21:58Speaker 2: tell you it's in an Okay, I'm going to say
- 22:00Speaker 2: the name wrong, Henry Bendell bag. Am I saying it right?
- 22:04Speaker 2: Or do you even know?
- 22:05Speaker 3: That's a great This is for me is one of
- 22:08Speaker 3: pronouncing any sort of fancy thing is my absolute worst nightmare,
- 22:12Speaker 3: because yeah, this could be Henry Bendel.
- 22:14Speaker 2: It could be That's what I was saying. And here's
- 22:16Speaker 2: how I have that bag because anyone who knows me,
- 22:19Speaker 2: and you can tell from looking at me, shopping is
- 22:22Speaker 2: not my forte. This is a nice short given to
- 22:24Speaker 2: me by somebody. I have no idea I am. There's
- 22:27Speaker 2: nobody worse saying I hate hate shopping. I just did
- 22:32Speaker 2: film in Barcelona and they had me in this beautiful
- 22:34Speaker 2: hotel right off. There's an area in Barcelona. I had
- 22:37Speaker 2: never been there, so it was all new to me
- 22:39Speaker 2: called de Gassia and it's the main drag and it's
- 22:42Speaker 2: basically their rodeo drive. Sure, and it was a beautiful
- 22:46Speaker 2: street but I would have plucked hairs out of my
- 22:49Speaker 2: ass before I would have walked into one of those
- 22:52Speaker 2: stories you hated that much. Just do And people I'm with,
- 22:56Speaker 2: you know people love to shop, and I know they do.
- 22:58Speaker 3: I just I'm not about shopping that you don't like doing.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Oh just boring. It's just so damn boring. So a
- 23:04Speaker 2: lot of the clothes I have when I'm on set,
- 23:07Speaker 2: they'll just give them to me. Say, Jim, do you
- 23:08Speaker 2: want to keep thy clothes? Please take they fitted me? Yeah,
- 23:12Speaker 2: that sounds great. I'll take those clothes. I'm trying to think,
- 23:15Speaker 2: what's the last thing I bought. I don't generally buy
- 23:18Speaker 2: because I'll get them from set. Or I have a sister.
- 23:21Speaker 2: I am a sixty two year old man who has
- 23:24Speaker 2: shown up to different things I'm doing, plays, whatever with
- 23:26Speaker 2: clothes for me. She goes, I saw you on this
- 23:28Speaker 2: one thing and I didn't think you were looking good.
- 23:30Speaker 2: So she buying me clothes. Buy I can buy my
- 23:33Speaker 2: own clothes. Very sweet. One of those gym shoes everyone's
- 23:38Speaker 2: get the hookah oh hokah, I got a pair of
- 23:40Speaker 2: those now. She visited me when I was doing a
- 23:42Speaker 2: play in Kansas City and She goes, oh, I hated
- 23:44Speaker 2: those old jim shoes years. I go, they feel comfortable.
- 23:46Speaker 2: She goes, I know, and she sent me puer hocus.
- 23:48Speaker 3: Do you like the hookas I love all them.
- 23:49Speaker 2: There's nothing not to love. They're so damn comfortable. But
- 23:52Speaker 2: again it's just so low priority. So this bag is
- 23:56Speaker 2: either from Henry Bendell or on re Bendett. We're not sure.
- 24:01Speaker 2: But the reason I got this bag is my friend Retta,
- 24:03Speaker 2: who played Don and Ego Recreation, one of the greatest
- 24:07Speaker 2: scales out there. We had lunch recently and she got
- 24:11Speaker 2: some food service that gave her avocados, and she doesn't
- 24:14Speaker 2: like avocados, so she did shop it all Reben del
- 24:18Speaker 2: but in that bag. For me, I love the journey
- 24:22Speaker 2: this bag, the journey this bag has been on, and
- 24:25Speaker 2: now this bag has been gifted to you because I'm
- 24:28Speaker 2: a gentleman.
- 24:29Speaker 3: It's so sweet and I'm glad that these bags are
- 24:32Speaker 3: being reused. Yes, I've got to find a use for
- 24:35Speaker 3: this now. Yeah, probably some sort of fruit I find
- 24:38Speaker 3: in my yard, yes, or dirt.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Do you gift people? Do you ever gift people?
- 24:43Speaker 3: I do gifts?
- 24:44Speaker 2: Well, then there you go. Let them have that fun
- 24:46Speaker 2: moment where they think thinking, oh my god, he got
- 24:49Speaker 2: me some crazy expensive thing from Henry your home read
- 24:52Speaker 2: this is the most amazing and then open it up
- 24:54Speaker 2: and it's just whatever crap you would give.
- 24:56Speaker 3: People would know immediately that I would. There's no chance
- 24:59Speaker 3: I would have spent exactly. They would know that something
- 25:02Speaker 3: in here was either free or I spent no more
- 25:05Speaker 3: than twenty dollars.
- 25:06Speaker 2: And you know, I had this kind of new uh this,
- 25:08Speaker 2: I don't know if it's a revelation, but this, my
- 25:10Speaker 2: new saying, is just because you can afford something doesn't
- 25:14Speaker 2: mean you should afford something. So because my friends always like,
- 25:16Speaker 2: well why did you go get this or this, I'm like, right,
- 25:18Speaker 2: I don't need that.
- 25:20Speaker 3: Why would you just why would I just go and
- 25:21Speaker 3: get that?
- 25:22Speaker 2: And I don't even know what on reed Bendel sells.
- 25:25Speaker 2: I have no idea.
- 25:26Speaker 3: My guess is from the size of this bagu socks, gloves.
- 25:32Speaker 2: I don't know. Someone out there listening is screaming, you idiots,
- 25:36Speaker 2: it's jewelry or shoes or perfume. Perfume maybe yeah, I
- 25:42Speaker 2: have no idea.
- 25:42Speaker 3: On a least, do you have any idea what their
- 25:45Speaker 3: classic department store they have handbags and all sorts of goods. Oh, okay,
- 25:51Speaker 3: very nice. I mean, like, if it's a department store
- 25:54Speaker 3: I've never heard of, you know, it's got to be
- 25:56Speaker 3: unbelievably expensive.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Yeah. I grew up with a place called Kmart I love. Yeah,
- 26:02Speaker 2: that was mine. So yeah, only Bendel was not on
- 26:06Speaker 2: my shopping list. I enjoy the bag.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Okay, I love the bag. And now we're going to
- 26:10Speaker 3: get into it.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Now before you open it, I brought you things that
- 26:15Speaker 2: you know we are new friends. Yes, I brought you
- 26:18Speaker 2: things so you can get to know me better.
- 26:19Speaker 3: Beautiful, that's all I want.
- 26:21Speaker 2: And this will there's three different things in there.
- 26:24Speaker 3: That's really kind of an understanding of the assignment. Coming
- 26:27Speaker 3: to the podcast with something that you want to talk about.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Why get something you want, right? I mean, what's that?
- 26:32Speaker 2: Why am I?
- 26:33Speaker 3: I wouldn't mind a boat, luck always looking for more cars,
- 26:38Speaker 3: So future guests reach out. Okay, let's pull this. Let's
- 26:46Speaker 3: get the tissue. We've got to get some tissue noise,
- 26:48Speaker 3: especially on the fancy studio microphone.
- 26:51Speaker 2: For the record, I packed it me.
- 26:56Speaker 3: The tissue. Tissue is very hard for me to pack
- 26:58Speaker 3: it always.
- 26:59Speaker 2: How I did it it's gorgeous.
- 27:01Speaker 3: Okay, now we're reaching it is. Should I bring these
- 27:03Speaker 3: out in any order?
- 27:04Speaker 2: Yeah? Take this. There's a bottle of.
- 27:07Speaker 3: Something, okay, diet coke.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Diet coke.
- 27:11Speaker 3: Oh my god. I mean we're immediately on the same page.
- 27:14Speaker 2: If anyone knows me, I'm not a coffee guy, I'm
- 27:17Speaker 2: not a water guy. I'm none of the above. I'm
- 27:22Speaker 2: drinking even as we speak, Kennedy, diet coke that you
- 27:25Speaker 2: had in the green room, that was in that refrigerator,
- 27:27Speaker 2: because that is Jim O'Hare's life force.
- 27:30Speaker 3: You, I mean you and I both.
- 27:31Speaker 2: It is a diet coke.
- 27:32Speaker 3: Okay, diet coke. Well, first of all, I mean I
- 27:34Speaker 3: have a lot of questions. You say, you don't drink coffee. No,
- 27:37Speaker 3: you don't drink water.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Oh I've had to, but I certainly don't enjoy it.
- 27:41Speaker 3: And upon waking up, what beverage are you drinking?
- 27:44Speaker 2: You are looking at it.
- 27:45Speaker 3: You're drinking diet drinking diet coke.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Fat. No, And I'm sure it's of course it's not
- 27:50Speaker 2: good for you, though, I will say that. Adam Scott,
- 27:53Speaker 2: you know from Parks, his dad, and I hope I'm
- 27:55Speaker 2: remembering this correctly. If I'm screwing it up, Adam, I
- 27:58Speaker 2: am so sorry because I've used this to justify my
- 28:01Speaker 2: problem with my obsession, and that is I believe his
- 28:05Speaker 2: dad was a chemist and his dad said, well, the
- 28:08Speaker 2: ingredients really aren't all that bad, and so I've gone
- 28:11Speaker 2: with that theory. So but I you know, sometimes you
- 28:14Speaker 2: go to for your physical and they'll be like, oh, Jim,
- 28:17Speaker 2: how much alcohol do you drink? And I'm totally just
- 28:20Speaker 2: a social drinker. I'll have a beer if i'm you know,
- 28:22Speaker 2: if I play poker or whatever with my friends, and
- 28:26Speaker 2: you know, the occasional like gin and tonic, but a
- 28:30Speaker 2: very low key drinker. It's just not my thing. And
- 28:33Speaker 2: I'll say, well, just socially, and then well how much coffee? None? Oh,
- 28:36Speaker 2: And they're like so impressed, and they'll say, well, what
- 28:38Speaker 2: do you drink and I say diet coke and then
- 28:40Speaker 2: that look comes over, Jim, how many cans a day?
- 28:43Speaker 2: And I said, please don't make me say it, Please
- 28:46Speaker 2: don't make me say it. I and this is all
- 28:49Speaker 2: I can't wait for this. I posted a picture this
- 28:51Speaker 2: was years ago, on Instagram of a stack of twelve
- 28:57Speaker 2: twelve packs in my garage because God forbid I would
- 29:01Speaker 2: ever run out. And I do have a lot of
- 29:03Speaker 2: people in my life will also enjoy.
- 29:05Speaker 3: Of course, everyone loves I had to.
- 29:06Speaker 2: But here's something I learned Ridgerd that shook me to
- 29:10Speaker 2: my core. And I hope I don't get emotional talking
- 29:13Speaker 2: about there's an expiration date on diet coke.
- 29:17Speaker 3: The expert, Oh, go off, it does go bad. It
- 29:21Speaker 3: tastes weird.
- 29:22Speaker 2: It tastes weird. And so one day and I still
- 29:25Speaker 2: had like six of them left, and a buddy was
- 29:28Speaker 2: over for what a director friend of mine, and he
- 29:31Speaker 2: wanted to die cook I give him. When he goes, oh,
- 29:32Speaker 2: this one's this tastes weird, I'm like, oh God, so sorry,
- 29:35Speaker 2: plenty more. I open up another one. He goes, this
- 29:37Speaker 2: one's weird too. Well, then I tasted. I go what
- 29:40Speaker 2: is happening? And he said, well, what's the date? What date?
- 29:43Speaker 2: Here's the date on the can? Idiot, there's a date
- 29:46Speaker 2: on the can and it was months past.
- 29:48Speaker 3: Oh months, that's tough, dude.
- 29:50Speaker 2: I had to throw the rest of them in the garden.
- 29:52Speaker 2: It was through tears.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Well, I was throwing, Well, this means is you're not
- 29:56Speaker 3: drinking enough.
- 29:56Speaker 2: I know, but I believe me. I got to remember though,
- 30:00Speaker 2: not all just at home. I go to a restaurant,
- 30:01Speaker 2: I get my Di coke. I go to dinner, I
- 30:03Speaker 2: get my die coke. Even if I get a beer
- 30:05Speaker 2: at dinner, I give a restaurant with friends, it will
- 30:07Speaker 2: be one, maybe two beers and then straight to the dike. Right,
- 30:10Speaker 2: So it's other. I'm not just getting it at home.
- 30:12Speaker 3: So how many ounces of diet coca day do you
- 30:14Speaker 3: think you're drinking? Oh god, I've never thought about here,
- 30:18Speaker 3: because I have a How.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Many ounces are in that bottle I gave you?
- 30:21Speaker 3: This is a sixteen point nine?
- 30:24Speaker 2: Okay, So so if in a fantasy world, because I
- 30:27Speaker 2: would never really do this, if I drink six of
- 30:30Speaker 2: those a.
- 30:30Speaker 3: Day, six of those a day, I probably drink six
- 30:33Speaker 3: of those at dinner tonight.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Okay, thank good, I'm not as bad. It's six to
- 30:36Speaker 2: eight a day. Six. Yeah.
- 30:38Speaker 3: That doesn't seem that I dia coke.
- 30:42Speaker 2: I know it is, and I'm sure the shit that's
- 30:43Speaker 2: in there is maybe not great for me, but I
- 30:46Speaker 2: love it, and it has nothing to do with losing weight.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Like I don't drink dit coke because oh it's less
- 30:51Speaker 2: whatever it's less of I love the damn it's delicious.
- 30:55Speaker 2: I love it, and I say, I was just in Barcelona.
- 30:57Speaker 2: In Europe, everything is coke zero.
- 31:00Speaker 3: Right, you're into cokes.
- 31:01Speaker 2: It's people who love cokes your own. It turns out
- 31:03Speaker 2: I don't. That's my only version I could get there.
- 31:06Speaker 2: But to me, it's still very sugary. Right, even though
- 31:09Speaker 2: I'm vera very I don't know diet coke as is
- 31:14Speaker 2: is my juice.
- 31:15Speaker 3: It's got a very uh not sharp, but crisp.
- 31:20Speaker 2: It's got a nice cold one and a shout out
- 31:23Speaker 2: to McDonald's. Nobody does a diet coke better than McDonald's.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Do you want to get into this?
- 31:28Speaker 2: Oh, I'll get into it. I will get into it.
- 31:30Speaker 3: Yes, you're not going to learn what a Psychoieah, I can't.
- 31:34Speaker 3: I love McDonald's diet coke so much, but if you
- 31:38Speaker 3: get it in their drive through their machines now they
- 31:41Speaker 3: run all of the soda through one thing, one little
- 31:45Speaker 3: what is that a sprig or whatever something, and so
- 31:49Speaker 3: their diet coke doesn't taste like diet coke when you
- 31:51Speaker 3: go through the drive through. If you go into the store,
- 31:53Speaker 3: and again, I'm an absolute psychopath. Wow, the diet coke
- 31:57Speaker 3: is a million times better.
- 31:58Speaker 2: And I got to tell you I mostly do drive through.
- 32:00Speaker 2: I'm telling you because I'm the guy who goes to
- 32:02Speaker 2: drive through just for the diet coat.
- 32:04Speaker 3: You might be at a good McDonald's. There's still a
- 32:06Speaker 3: few good ones left.
- 32:08Speaker 2: The one in Encino, baby, shout out to Encino McDonald's. Yes,
- 32:12Speaker 2: they hate me because for a while they were ninety
- 32:14Speaker 2: nine cents. I love the large things. A dollar for
- 32:19Speaker 2: thank you, and I'd be on my way.
- 32:21Speaker 3: You know they're nearly three dollars now.
- 32:23Speaker 4: I know they're back to their regular stuff almost coffee
- 32:26Speaker 4: prices so apparently.
- 32:27Speaker 2: And I haven't done it. But if you go on
- 32:28Speaker 2: the app, huh there is, you get a.
- 32:31Speaker 3: Cheap I'm not getting on dude. Not happy we.
- 32:35Speaker 2: Mentioned we're lazy. I'm not getting on the app. No,
- 32:39Speaker 2: I'm not getting on the No.
- 32:41Speaker 3: I will happily go into the store.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Oh that sounds less than lazy, though. Well, park, you
- 32:47Speaker 2: get out of your car, your legs walk, and then
- 32:50Speaker 2: you speak. It seems like a lot.
- 32:53Speaker 3: It means I care.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Wow, it means you are better than me. I am
- 32:57Speaker 2: simply better, and I am not proud of this at all. Here.
- 33:00Speaker 2: I am in Barcelona and every fancy restaurant is there,
- 33:05Speaker 2: and it's just you know, they're known for paea and
- 33:07Speaker 2: croquettes and and I'm not a seafood guy, but they're
- 33:10Speaker 2: known for their seafood all this mainz of stuff. And
- 33:13Speaker 2: twice in the two weeks that I was there, I
- 33:15Speaker 2: went to one Burger King of one McDonald's. I couldn't
- 33:18Speaker 2: help myself because it was like, I just want a
- 33:20Speaker 2: little normalcy. I don't need fancy. Just give me a
- 33:24Speaker 2: whopper with cheese and a or a big Mac with
- 33:27Speaker 2: extra secret sauce.
- 33:28Speaker 3: Did they did either of those menus have like Spain
- 33:31Speaker 3: specific menu items.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Yes, And for some reason they kept giving me T shirts.
- 33:36Speaker 2: I said to the man, I don't need that, but
- 33:38Speaker 2: he doesn't know what I'm saying. I don't know what
- 33:39Speaker 2: he's saying. I don't know what that was about. But
- 33:42Speaker 2: somehow T shirts were all McDonald's T shirt. Yes. I
- 33:46Speaker 2: don't know why. I truly don't know why. I know
- 33:49Speaker 2: I was on my own because I was too embarrassed
- 33:50Speaker 2: to be gold with anybody because they're like, oh, we're
- 33:53Speaker 2: gonna meet for dinner at the and I'm like okay,
- 33:57Speaker 2: And for lunch I met McDonald's thinking fill up. And
- 34:02Speaker 2: then you know at dinner you can you know, because
- 34:04Speaker 2: again there's so much amazing food in Barcelona. The seafood
- 34:08Speaker 2: people have got squid on their plate. I could heave
- 34:11Speaker 2: when I see a squid on a plate, or they're
- 34:13Speaker 2: bringing them the fish with the hat on it. Don't
- 34:15Speaker 2: put the hat on the fish, take it off.
- 34:18Speaker 3: I think essentially every country in the world outside of
- 34:21Speaker 3: the United States keeps the head on the right.
- 34:23Speaker 2: I know, I know, but since I don't eat fish,
- 34:25Speaker 2: I'm not a fan of it. It just makes me crazy.
- 34:29Speaker 2: It makes me crazy.
- 34:30Speaker 3: I do have a hard time. I need if I
- 34:32Speaker 3: eat meat and I eat fish, but I need it
- 34:34Speaker 3: to look as should not look like the animal to me. Yes,
- 34:38Speaker 3: I just can't because I'm.
- 34:39Speaker 2: The biggest hypocrite walking. I eat meat. Absolutely, I couldn't
- 34:43Speaker 2: kill my own food.
- 34:44Speaker 3: I couldn't.
- 34:45Speaker 2: I'm the guy who grabs the spider and throws it outside.
- 34:47Speaker 2: So I could never kill my own food. So if
- 34:49Speaker 2: I'm eating something and it's like if I get like,
- 34:51Speaker 2: I love ribs, right, but if I start chomping on
- 34:54Speaker 2: a rib and I feel like I'm fighting that to
- 34:56Speaker 2: get it off the phone. Then it becomes an animal,
- 34:59Speaker 2: and I am done. I put it. I needed to
- 35:01Speaker 2: fall off. And again it's so hypocritical because I'm like
- 35:05Speaker 2: all of these poor animals as I'm long.
- 35:09Speaker 3: Yeah, it's sad to dissociate a little bit, I know.
- 35:11Speaker 2: And then here's how my brain goes, Well, they already
- 35:13Speaker 2: it's already done, Like it's already in this store. If
- 35:18Speaker 2: I don't show up tonight, the animal isn't alive.
- 35:21Speaker 3: Then was killed for no reason, right right, like I'm.
- 35:24Speaker 2: Helping that poor animal. No really, if the minute I
- 35:27Speaker 2: go to my brain of this is an animal, I'm screwed, right,
- 35:31Speaker 2: I just I just can't do it.
- 35:33Speaker 3: Have you ever had rabbit?
- 35:34Speaker 2: I have not. Oh if that's had rabbits as pets,
- 35:37Speaker 2: but I've never always.
- 35:38Speaker 3: Oh, I mean, I had a friend took me. He
- 35:42Speaker 3: had read about this place in LA and he's like
- 35:44Speaker 3: a giant foodie. Sure it takes us to this place,
- 35:47Speaker 3: and that I kind of I think exclusively served rabbit.
- 35:50Speaker 3: And I thought, I'm going to be adventurous. I'll try
- 35:54Speaker 3: this and I'll eat almost anything. I've heard that mortifying,
- 35:58Speaker 3: mortifying experience. I'm so uh, never again.
- 36:02Speaker 2: Did it just with your head?
- 36:03Speaker 3: Yeah, it was too far.
- 36:05Speaker 2: It would mean too I don't eat lamb.
- 36:08Speaker 3: Because I love euros.
- 36:09Speaker 2: Well, oh damn it, you're right. I do eat lamb.
- 36:13Speaker 2: I love Oh my god, you're right.
- 36:16Speaker 3: I'm so sorry speaking of like, you.
- 36:17Speaker 2: Know, when you order lamb at a restaurant, never do that.
- 36:20Speaker 2: But you're right. I do eat lamb.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Oh.
- 36:22Speaker 2: I hate me, I really do hate me. But oh,
- 36:25Speaker 2: a good euro.
- 36:26Speaker 3: But you're keeping You're keeping the lamb in a very
- 36:28Speaker 3: specific box.
- 36:29Speaker 2: He's on a big spit. Yeah.
- 36:32Speaker 3: Oh gosh, yeah that's lamb.
- 36:34Speaker 2: That's I forgot that's lamb. Oh. And now I'm thinking
- 36:38Speaker 2: I could go for a euro maybe after we wrap
- 36:40Speaker 2: this up.
- 36:40Speaker 3: You do you get euros? In La? I can never
- 36:42Speaker 3: find a good.
- 36:42Speaker 2: One firehouse and and uh, I'm going to say it's Resida.
- 36:48Speaker 2: I think it's Resida, but it's at the corner of
- 36:50Speaker 2: Victory and Reseda in I think Resida. And it is
- 36:55Speaker 2: an amazing ero. This is great, you know, that's my
- 36:58Speaker 2: that's my go to. Okay.
- 37:00Speaker 3: I grew up eating a lot of euros and then
- 37:01Speaker 3: I moved to La And where did you grow up
- 37:03Speaker 3: in Salt Lake City and there's a huge Greek population.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Oh that makes sense.
- 37:07Speaker 3: I think they had there was like Greek Greek immigrants
- 37:11Speaker 3: for some sort of mining I think, and then the
- 37:14Speaker 3: population just grew and grew, and so there's like a
- 37:16Speaker 3: Greek restaurant on every corner. There, very good Greek food.
- 37:20Speaker 3: But then you come about, oh I love a bacle and.
- 37:23Speaker 2: You know the real you know, how to really say it,
- 37:25Speaker 2: bot laoa why. I recently learned that from a friend
- 37:29Speaker 2: whose sister was in town. And we went to some
- 37:31Speaker 2: Middle Eastern restaurant and we got all the stuff, the
- 37:34Speaker 2: hummus and the homss and everything, and I said, oh,
- 37:38Speaker 2: we got to get the baklava for dessert. Shees the
- 37:40Speaker 2: what Oh yeah it was no, it's about.
- 37:44Speaker 3: La Oh okay, I'm sorry.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Wow, okay, I've learned.
- 37:49Speaker 3: Well, I mean, was this woman from a country that.
- 37:52Speaker 2: Pronounced she lives in Jersey.
- 37:54Speaker 3: That's very exactly.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Yes, And the ba was delicious. I will say that.
- 38:02Speaker 3: You don't correct that.
- 38:03Speaker 2: I know, yes, we all say bakla.
- 38:06Speaker 3: Everybody says, I mean bought lawa. I'm going to keep
- 38:10Speaker 3: that in my back pocket.
- 38:12Speaker 2: Yeah, that's my thing. I'll have the and I try
- 38:16Speaker 2: to look at everybody to see the response generally pathetic.
- 38:19Speaker 3: I am going to follow this woman to every restaurant
- 38:21Speaker 3: and make sure she's pronouncing everything. She's ordering burrito's. That's
- 38:26Speaker 3: such irritating behavior.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Yeah no, but she's wonderful. But yeah, I was corrected.
- 38:30Speaker 3: But laoa, Okay, you don't like Coke zero? Are there
- 38:34Speaker 3: any other diet drinks you like? You know?
- 38:36Speaker 2: And I hate to be the hater because I'll drink
- 38:39Speaker 2: a diet pepsi if I have to. But when the
- 38:40Speaker 2: store will say, well we're a pepsi place, okay, well
- 38:44Speaker 2: you just lost a swallow. It's a tough pill, and
- 38:47Speaker 2: I'll do it, and it's okay. I don't hate it.
- 38:51Speaker 2: And in Barcelona there was it was all. I didn't
- 38:55Speaker 2: see any pepsi products. I'm sure they were there, I
- 38:58Speaker 2: didn't see them. It was all coke, Coke zero, coke, this, coke, this,
- 39:01Speaker 2: coke this. But other than that, I don't I really
- 39:04Speaker 2: don't know. Like I have family members who love like
- 39:07Speaker 2: Mountain dew, I don't really do the dew. I like
- 39:11Speaker 2: an iced tea. I like the iced tea. I love
- 39:15Speaker 2: oh no baby, like sweet baby up. Oh sweetened big
- 39:21Speaker 2: mixed berry flavored. Yes, Oh god, I'm sweetened. If you're
- 39:24Speaker 2: gonna give me on sweeten, you better give me two
- 39:26Speaker 2: packs of sweet and low.
- 39:27Speaker 3: You're just telling me you don't like cokereo because it's
- 39:29Speaker 3: too sty No.
- 39:30Speaker 2: But it's a different type of sweet. Oh my god,
- 39:32Speaker 2: you should see I said don't. I don't drink coffee,
- 39:35Speaker 2: and I don't other than with a dessert. If I'm
- 39:38Speaker 2: at a restaurant, I do like a cappuccino. But here's
- 39:42Speaker 2: why I like the cappuccino. They serve it to me,
- 39:45Speaker 2: and then they serve it with that brown sugar. Oh
- 39:47Speaker 2: like that kind of fit brown sugar that I just
- 39:52Speaker 2: slap in there. It's no more. It shouldn't be called coffee.
- 39:56Speaker 2: When I drink, can I please have the brown sugar drink?
- 39:59Speaker 2: That is what I with my dessert that I will have.
- 40:02Speaker 3: Your drinking schedule is all a mess.
- 40:04Speaker 2: It's a mess.
- 40:05Speaker 3: It's a complete disaster.
- 40:06Speaker 2: And then when people like, oh, can they get you
- 40:07Speaker 2: a glass of water? What? How dare you just water?
- 40:17Speaker 2: Oh dude, oh I will you know what, I'm doing
- 40:22Speaker 2: a new animated show and I was in the booth. Yeah,
- 40:26Speaker 2: I will say I had water, then I had no choice.
- 40:29Speaker 2: That's all that they were offering me. And that's okay
- 40:32Speaker 2: for them, because it really is just to kind of
- 40:34Speaker 2: keep the pipes flowing. But the last time I asked
- 40:39Speaker 2: for water, no, it hasn't happened. And what they have
- 40:42Speaker 2: now are these squirty bottles that you squirt into water
- 40:45Speaker 2: and it becomes flavorful water. So I buy those so
- 40:48Speaker 2: if I have to drink water, I squirted this stuff
- 40:50Speaker 2: in it. Next thing you know, it's lemonade, it's fruit punch,
- 40:53Speaker 2: it's sweet tea. Of course, whenever I see sweet tea.
- 40:57Speaker 2: If anyone out there is ever you know Chris Hansen,
- 40:59Speaker 2: the one who does the pedophiles, oh yes, of course,
- 41:01Speaker 2: the minute he walks in a room, you're fucked. Like,
- 41:03Speaker 2: you're like, oh damn. But when these people walk into
- 41:06Speaker 2: these homes, and whether it's the you know, they got
- 41:09Speaker 2: a decoy playing a boy or a girl, whatever it is,
- 41:12Speaker 2: they're like, oh, I'll be right down. I'm making sweet tea.
- 41:14Speaker 2: So I always feel guilty when I'm making this. When
- 41:17Speaker 2: I put the sweet tea mixture, I'm like, oh god,
- 41:19Speaker 2: this feels very pedophile ish. Because I saw this on
- 41:22Speaker 2: this show. And it's because I never heard the term
- 41:25Speaker 2: sweet tea. But apparently in the South, the South, very
- 41:29Speaker 2: much sweet tea.
- 41:30Speaker 3: That is all they drink.
- 41:30Speaker 2: That's all they drink. But I'm from the Chicago Land area,
- 41:34Speaker 2: and we have pop.
- 41:36Speaker 3: You had pop, we have pop, We had pop. It
- 41:38Speaker 3: was an interesting cultural shift. In Utah, we called it
- 41:41Speaker 3: pop until like I probably the early thousands to mid thousands,
- 41:46Speaker 3: and then we switched to soda.
- 41:47Speaker 2: You did. That's a big switch.
- 41:48Speaker 3: I think it must have been the Internet or something that,
- 41:50Speaker 3: like the word just started circulating.
- 41:52Speaker 2: When I'm with my family, it's still pop pop. I mean,
- 41:56Speaker 2: there's not even a thought. And my family knows when
- 41:59Speaker 2: I say pop, they know exactly what I'm talking about.
- 42:01Speaker 2: It's a diet coke. Yeah, that's wow. I couldn't switch.
- 42:04Speaker 3: No, I made the switch effortlessly. Wow, I really slipped right.
- 42:10Speaker 3: But then in the South they call also to coke,
- 42:12Speaker 3: which that's true.
- 42:14Speaker 2: Everything is cold.
- 42:14Speaker 3: Give me a coke that's on accepted and they know
- 42:16Speaker 3: what each other means too. Yeah, that doesn't work. There's
- 42:19Speaker 3: no excuse for that behavior.
- 42:21Speaker 2: Totally agree.
- 42:21Speaker 3: They've got to get pick soda or pop or something else.
- 42:24Speaker 3: Fizzy drink fizzy. Yeah, coke is a brand name.
- 42:27Speaker 2: Yeah, backlant, And I actually don't like fizzy water. You
- 42:30Speaker 2: know if people like sparkles. Oh, I love sparks. No,
- 42:33Speaker 2: you got one right in front of you.
- 42:34Speaker 3: Yes, I mean to be honest, I had a diet
- 42:37Speaker 3: coke in the other room. But then I thought, well,
- 42:39Speaker 3: I had probably forty ounces of diet coke at dinner.
- 42:41Speaker 2: I should you should have something else. No, I don't
- 42:44Speaker 2: like the fizzy water. I don't know why. Well, and
- 42:46Speaker 2: I think people think I'm cheap. At a restaurant, Sara,
- 42:48Speaker 2: did you want the bottled or the regular regular? Please?
- 42:52Speaker 2: I'm not being cheap. I just don't like the pizzy.
- 42:54Speaker 3: Oh people know I'm cheap that well?
- 42:55Speaker 2: Yeah again, I read the blogs. I know all about you, Bridger,
- 42:59Speaker 2: all about it.
- 43:03Speaker 3: Should we get back into the bag here? Sure?
- 43:05Speaker 2: Okay, reach in there. You're going to find something else.
- 43:07Speaker 3: Okay. Now, there's like a soft thing and a book
- 43:09Speaker 3: type thing. Grab the soft thing, soft thing?
- 43:11Speaker 2: Okay?
- 43:13Speaker 3: Oh oh it's a Is this a Golden Girl's mask?
- 43:18Speaker 2: It's a Golden Girls COVID mask.
- 43:21Speaker 3: Have you used this?
- 43:22Speaker 2: I have never? That is an unused cocking. This can
- 43:24Speaker 2: be so you can if you felt like you want,
- 43:26Speaker 2: you can put on your face. It has not been
- 43:28Speaker 2: on my face. I uh again. If you know me,
- 43:32Speaker 2: you know my obsession with the Golden Girls.
- 43:35Speaker 3: Unbelievable show.
- 43:36Speaker 2: It is my comfort show. It is I think it's
- 43:40Speaker 2: still relevant and it's dated here and there, of course,
- 43:44Speaker 2: barely barely dated. The topics, the acting, the writing, it's
- 43:50Speaker 2: just to me brilliant. And that is like whenever I'm
- 43:54Speaker 2: like kind of worked up and I just need a
- 43:55Speaker 2: little something in the background, It's going to be Golden Girls.
- 43:58Speaker 3: It's one of my all time favorite shows. B Arthur
- 44:02Speaker 3: can say anything and I'm yes, I mean yes.
- 44:04Speaker 2: And the way they you know that. I've read the
- 44:08Speaker 2: behind the scenes. I've heard the interviews. There was issues.
- 44:11Speaker 2: Stallghetti had terrible stage fright. I went to a taping
- 44:14Speaker 2: one hundred years ago. No way, the buddy. We went
- 44:18Speaker 2: for a little bit of time. I worked for the airlines.
- 44:21Speaker 2: I worked for Eastern Airlines, which of course doesn't I
- 44:24Speaker 2: was a flight attendant. And then there's dramatic silence when
- 44:30Speaker 2: I say flight attendant. Interesting, Okay, I wasn't a flight attendant, bitch,
- 44:34Speaker 2: air No, I was reservations for free. Oh.
- 44:40Speaker 3: I mean, I still dream about like getting a part
- 44:42Speaker 3: time job at an airline. So that's why I was.
- 44:44Speaker 2: It was a part time job. I had a full
- 44:46Speaker 2: time job, and I did it part time for the
- 44:48Speaker 2: flight benefits.
- 44:49Speaker 3: It's the best benefit of any job ever.
- 44:52Speaker 2: I would fly first class for ten dollars ten dollars,
- 44:55Speaker 2: And because I was in reservations, I could see what
- 44:57Speaker 2: the flights look like. Oh, I could go, Man, that
- 44:59Speaker 2: flight looks totally empty, because you know, you always fly
- 45:03Speaker 2: stand by. But if you planned it right, I had
- 45:06Speaker 2: very few problems. Every once in a while, the flight
- 45:08Speaker 2: before years would get canceled, and then everybody's coming from
- 45:11Speaker 2: that flight over the years, and then you could get screwed.
- 45:14Speaker 2: But in general it was a gift. It was pretty cool.
- 45:17Speaker 2: And so Buddy, I'm like, let's go to I got
- 45:19Speaker 2: buddy passes, Let's go to California. And we did, and
- 45:22Speaker 2: we went and saw taping on The Golden Girls, and
- 45:24Speaker 2: stell Getty was, you know, having trouble memorizing lines, which
- 45:27Speaker 2: I've heard all about since she was just a very
- 45:29Speaker 2: nervous in front of an audience. But I think that
- 45:32Speaker 2: show is so incredibly well written. Now as I've seen
- 45:37Speaker 2: every episode one thousand times, they one story doesn't match
- 45:41Speaker 2: with another, children don't match, fathers don't match. Characters come
- 45:47Speaker 2: and go that we never hear about again, that they're
- 45:48Speaker 2: going to be with forever. So I mean, in those
- 45:51Speaker 2: days there was no binging the era. They could get
- 45:54Speaker 2: away with it because it air forgot once and then
- 45:56Speaker 2: it re ran once, and then life went on, never
- 45:59Speaker 2: thinking somebody is gonna sit with it and watch six
- 46:02Speaker 2: seven seasons one after the.
- 46:04Speaker 3: Hour in a row.
- 46:05Speaker 2: But I love that damn show, and I am not
- 46:07Speaker 2: embarrassed to say I know it. They were like, it's
- 46:09Speaker 2: like an old man show, an old woman show. I'm sorry,
- 46:12Speaker 2: call it what you want.
- 46:13Speaker 3: I think it's brilliant, one of the simply the all
- 46:16Speaker 3: time best shows. Objectively, one of the funniest shows ever made.
- 46:19Speaker 3: I am on board, and one of the few shows
- 46:22Speaker 3: from that period that has aged well enough that you
- 46:24Speaker 3: can watch just about any episode and still laugh at it.
- 46:27Speaker 2: Absolutely, there's again the occasional like political reference there is
- 46:32Speaker 2: from you know, forty years ago. Right, of course that
- 46:34Speaker 2: doesn't make sense, but ninety percent of it it's still relevant.
- 46:38Speaker 2: They were talking about AIDS yes, they were talking about
- 46:43Speaker 2: having an affairs like these are topics that were not
- 46:46Speaker 2: discussed on any show, any show. Blanche's brother got married,
- 46:52Speaker 2: well he couldn't get married, but he got right. Service
- 46:55Speaker 2: like this was not talked about.
- 46:57Speaker 3: It's very amazing.
- 46:58Speaker 2: It's amazing. It's amazing.
- 47:00Speaker 3: Do you remember what episode you saw alive? Oh?
- 47:03Speaker 2: My god, totally the episode where Dorothy is she gets
- 47:08Speaker 2: a huge crush on the teacher at school. Turns out
- 47:11Speaker 2: he's a priest, and so he shows up and she
- 47:14Speaker 2: doesn't know when she's dressed. They Blanche makes her wear
- 47:16Speaker 2: some she calls it a solid gold dancer's mother's outfit
- 47:20Speaker 2: or something like that. So yes, and every time, and
- 47:22Speaker 2: it's on all the time, every time I see him,
- 47:23Speaker 2: Like I was in that audi. I was there and
- 47:26Speaker 2: it was the first time I'd ever been to a
- 47:28Speaker 2: taping of a show. And they are drudgery because they
- 47:31Speaker 2: go on and on and on, and when the actors,
- 47:37Speaker 2: you know, are messing up, you know, at first it's
- 47:39Speaker 2: funny and then you're like, oh, please get through this,
- 47:42Speaker 2: because I've seen this scene ten times. But it really
- 47:47Speaker 2: was such a great experience. Oh I'm sure, so I
- 47:49Speaker 2: I treasure that memory. It was amazing and I think
- 47:53Speaker 2: casting is so tough and it was nailed. And I've
- 47:57Speaker 2: heard the stories they initially wanted Room McLain and who
- 48:00Speaker 2: played Blanche, to play Roses, which I just don't see.
- 48:04Speaker 2: It makes no sense. Maybe she would have done it
- 48:06Speaker 2: and we would have been blown away, who knows. But
- 48:08Speaker 2: the way it turned out was absolute perfection. Because apparently
- 48:12Speaker 2: when uh, you know, because Rue had worked with Be
- 48:15Speaker 2: on Maud, she brought this to her and said, listen,
- 48:18Speaker 2: there's this great pilot blah blah blah. And b was like, no,
- 48:25Speaker 2: I don't. I've already seen you play the ditsy and
- 48:28Speaker 2: I've seen uh uh Betty White on Mary Tyler Moore
- 48:33Speaker 2: play the flirty, slutty kind of whatever. And she said,
- 48:37Speaker 2: that isn't what's happening. It's just the opposite. And that
- 48:40Speaker 2: got the attention.
- 48:41Speaker 3: That's so cool.
- 48:42Speaker 2: And then she read it and she's like, yeah, okay,
- 48:44Speaker 2: this is something it took me.
- 48:46Speaker 3: I didn't learn for a long time about Golden Palace. Yeah,
- 48:50Speaker 3: which is such a bizarre thing that happened.
- 48:53Speaker 2: Well, you know, Be left the show. Listen as if
- 48:55Speaker 2: I wrote the damn thing, friend, your b and I
- 49:00Speaker 2: headline and I said her, be you shouldn't leave this show.
- 49:04Speaker 2: But she she decided to leave the show. The others
- 49:07Speaker 2: weren't ready to leave. But you've lost now twenty five
- 49:11Speaker 2: percent in a really big prisi, maybe more depending on
- 49:15Speaker 2: how you look at it. Again, and so I get it.
- 49:19Speaker 2: They tried to keep it going. They turned it where
- 49:22Speaker 2: they all of a sudden owned a hotel. I don't
- 49:24Speaker 2: know where that money came to buy a hotel. No
- 49:26Speaker 2: one ever seemed to have money anyway. It did not work.
- 49:29Speaker 2: It went one season. But you know what's really funny
- 49:31Speaker 2: when you think about it, it got canceled. I think
- 49:34Speaker 2: they had like making up this number, but roughly thirteen
- 49:38Speaker 2: or fourteen million people were watching. Nowadays, if you had
- 49:41Speaker 2: thirteen or fourteen million, you got what's called a hit.
- 49:44Speaker 3: You would get twenty seasons of the show exactly.
- 49:47Speaker 2: But in those days, because there was three chances, ABC, NBC,
- 49:50Speaker 2: and CBS, Fox came later, you were getting twenty thirty
- 49:54Speaker 2: million people watching your shows.
- 49:56Speaker 3: Never again, never go Oh.
- 49:57Speaker 2: No, no, no, those days are long gone.
- 49:59Speaker 3: Yeah that is long gone. Wild thirteen million as a failure. Yeah, no,
- 50:04Speaker 3: it's such a wonderful show and it's so comforting. I could. Yeah,
- 50:07Speaker 3: when I can't think of something else to watch on TV,
- 50:09Speaker 3: I'm like, well, obviously i'll just watch and.
- 50:12Speaker 2: I yell all the lines. I know all the lines.
- 50:14Speaker 2: It's no, it's sad. It's sad, and I don't care.
- 50:16Speaker 3: Have you ever been to Golden Girls Live?
- 50:18Speaker 2: I have once.
- 50:19Speaker 3: Oh it's so good.
- 50:20Speaker 2: Where was it? And I even know the episode? It
- 50:22Speaker 2: was when uh, the little girl steals roses uh teddy bear,
- 50:27Speaker 2: I can't think of the teddy Bear's name, and she's
- 50:29Speaker 2: this little bitch and they anyway she gets back there.
- 50:32Speaker 2: I know exactly the episode that I saw it, or it.
- 50:35Speaker 3: Was it Casita del Campo. I believe that's why I saw.
- 50:39Speaker 2: Yes, was it? Do you know?
- 50:41Speaker 3: Dude, drog of course I got what everybody knows.
- 50:44Speaker 2: My god, he's so funny. I think he was in it.
- 50:47Speaker 3: It was Pancake Sam.
- 50:50Speaker 2: Maybe it was Sam I worked at. They're both just
- 50:54Speaker 2: so funny and will are just up to do anything. Yeah,
- 50:57Speaker 2: God bless them, like they have guts. I mean, you know,
- 51:02Speaker 2: which is not good. But I'll be like, oh, I
- 51:05Speaker 2: look like a fool if I do this or if
- 51:06Speaker 2: I do that, how silly They're just like, let's have fun.
- 51:10Speaker 2: This is the time they have such a good time.
- 51:12Speaker 3: Yeah, well, is there anything else we should say about
- 51:15Speaker 3: Golden Girls.
- 51:16Speaker 2: Other than if you're new and you don't never heard
- 51:18Speaker 2: of it, you're a freak. And if you would like
- 51:21Speaker 2: to start watching it, it's on Hallmark every night. Oh
- 51:25Speaker 2: and it's on CMT and you can stream it on Hulu.
- 51:30Speaker 2: And just for the record, I don't get a nickel
- 51:32Speaker 2: for saying any of this. I just happen to love
- 51:33Speaker 2: that damn show.
- 51:34Speaker 3: I wonder who's making money off of Golden Girls, And
- 51:36Speaker 3: someone's got to right, They're like grandchildren or something.
- 51:39Speaker 2: Someone's got it. I mean, stuff isn't free. Yeah, I
- 51:43Speaker 2: would think creators are still making money.
- 51:44Speaker 3: Creators, the writers are probably still making money.
- 51:47Speaker 2: Yeah, that's it. And I paid money for that?
- 51:50Speaker 3: Is this official?
- 51:52Speaker 2: Don't What does it mean by official? I mean it's
- 51:54Speaker 2: or like I saw it online during the pandemic and
- 51:56Speaker 2: I bought it.
- 51:57Speaker 3: There's no way that if this is like official merchandise,
- 52:00Speaker 3: I maybe I have no idea. I feel like it's
- 52:03Speaker 3: a bootlet.
- 52:03Speaker 2: But I spent like a thousand on it. That's all
- 52:06Speaker 2: because to me, that's nothing. I wiped my ass, But
- 52:08Speaker 2: that's actually what I said earlier, and toilet paper up
- 52:11Speaker 2: my ass. It was thousand dollars bills, which I don't
- 52:14Speaker 2: even know if that's a real thing, but if they are,
- 52:16Speaker 2: that's what I had shoved up my ass during that
- 52:18Speaker 2: place so I wouldn't poop myself. No, I don't know
- 52:22Speaker 2: where that's from other than I bought it online.
- 52:24Speaker 3: Well, it's absolutely wonderful, I mean, and now I mean
- 52:27Speaker 3: we've got it. Well, I guess it's still important to
- 52:28Speaker 3: mask up in.
- 52:30Speaker 2: Well, it's been sitting on my desk I have. There's
- 52:33Speaker 2: parks and rex masks. There's all sorts of masks, right,
- 52:36Speaker 2: and I thought, if.
- 52:37Speaker 3: You're going to get to know me, this is an
- 52:39Speaker 3: excellent mask.
- 52:40Speaker 2: That's part of me.
- 52:40Speaker 3: And this will really in the next pandemic, which is.
- 52:44Speaker 2: Right when I just saw the new it's right around
- 52:46Speaker 2: the wait did you see something about every day? Oh
- 52:49Speaker 2: there's something coming out Indonesia today. Ah, crap, I can't
- 52:55Speaker 2: go through it again. There's no Mandy dude. I'm the
- 52:58Speaker 2: idiot who when this all started, I said it to
- 53:01Speaker 2: anyone who would listen. Wow, we're going to be in
- 53:03Speaker 2: for a couple of rough weeks. I really I thought
- 53:06Speaker 2: this was me. Yeah, I thought you could go a
- 53:08Speaker 2: couple of rough weeks, Babe and damn boom. Two years.
- 53:13Speaker 3: We had recorded sixteen episodes of this podcast in a
- 53:16Speaker 3: studio before releasing it, and we uh. The first release
- 53:20Speaker 3: was on March twelfth, twenty twenty, and I thought, okay,
- 53:23Speaker 3: so well we just have to go through sixteen max
- 53:25Speaker 3: sixteen episodes. I'm going back into the yep. Oh boy,
- 53:29Speaker 3: that was a rough experience.
- 53:30Speaker 2: I actually got a little advanced notice because I was
- 53:34Speaker 2: at firehouse when I when I love a firehouse subway sandwich,
- 53:40Speaker 2: and I come out and there's some officers there, some
- 53:42Speaker 2: police officers, and they recognized me and took a couple
- 53:45Speaker 2: of pictures whatever, And I said, oh, what's going on
- 53:47Speaker 2: and they said, uh, oh, you know, just some weird
- 53:52Speaker 2: stuff going on out there. I said, oh, what's what's that?
- 53:54Speaker 2: And he goes nah. And right across the street was
- 53:57Speaker 2: Costco and he said to me, this cop, you know,
- 54:01Speaker 2: you should maybe load up on some stuff.
- 54:03Speaker 3: Oh this is so eerie.
- 54:05Speaker 2: It was so eer I go, what do you mean?
- 54:07Speaker 2: He goes, hey, am I want to just load up
- 54:09Speaker 2: on some stuff. He goes, there's gonna be announcement at
- 54:12Speaker 2: six o'clock. I got an announcement of what. He goes,
- 54:15Speaker 2: I'm not sure, but so I go to Costco. While
- 54:18Speaker 2: I'm in there, I'm calling friends and family. I don't
- 54:21Speaker 2: know what's happening. This police officer, who was very friendly,
- 54:25Speaker 2: said to me, gave me a hint that something bad
- 54:27Speaker 2: is happening, and what can I get? So I'm buying.
- 54:30Speaker 2: I spent three hundred dollars on crap. I think it's
- 54:32Speaker 2: still in the freezer because I was just hitting the
- 54:34Speaker 2: panic button because I didn't know what this meant. And
- 54:37Speaker 2: so and I came out of Costco with this. My
- 54:39Speaker 2: cart is super filled because I'm getting meat for people.
- 54:41Speaker 2: I'm getting paper because I don't know. And there's a
- 54:44Speaker 2: fireman out there. And I said, I'm sorry, but if
- 54:48Speaker 2: you heard this, something's happening today at six o'clock. And
- 54:51Speaker 2: he goes, yeah, just like that, Oh, oh feeling. So
- 54:56Speaker 2: I go home. Six o'clock comes nothing, even o'clock, nothing
- 55:01Speaker 2: like son of a bitch. I just dropped three hundred bucks.
- 55:04Speaker 2: But around eight o'clock, oh, the governor got on and
- 55:08Speaker 2: it all hit the fan.
- 55:11Speaker 3: Damn.
- 55:11Speaker 2: They were right. They were right. So but again I'm like, Okay,
- 55:14Speaker 2: a couple of bad weeks, we'll all be back to normal.
- 55:18Speaker 3: Wow.
- 55:18Speaker 2: Was I wrong?
- 55:20Speaker 3: And I kept pushing anytime someone to be like, this
- 55:23Speaker 3: is gonna be a year, Like, give me.
- 55:24Speaker 2: A break, I know, come on, a year the way.
- 55:27Speaker 3: Anybody can go through a year of this?
- 55:29Speaker 2: No? Yes, who could go through it? Well? We all did.
- 55:32Speaker 3: We were all just robbed of so much.
- 55:34Speaker 2: Yes, And I really, when you think about it, like
- 55:37Speaker 2: the kids in school who had to stay home, who
- 55:40Speaker 2: lost out on so many big you know, high school.
- 55:43Speaker 3: Events, enormous life events.
- 55:45Speaker 2: Yeah, so a lot of heartache, a lot of heart agains. Sadly,
- 55:48Speaker 2: a lot of people didn't make it, and that's.
- 55:51Speaker 3: Not a good time, a good time. But here we are, Yes,
- 55:54Speaker 3: and I think I've got to get this next thing out.
- 55:56Speaker 2: Okay, the next thing is something new to me. Okay,
- 56:00Speaker 2: something that only twenty people in the world.
- 56:02Speaker 3: Oh my god, this is an uncorrected proof. So it's
- 56:04Speaker 3: really not even it's.
- 56:06Speaker 2: Called a galley, yeah, of course. My new book. Wow.
- 56:10Speaker 3: So it's called Welcome to Ponne, which it's a parks
- 56:12Speaker 3: and rec book.
- 56:13Speaker 2: It's called Walking Upon Any Stories, a Friendship, Waffles and
- 56:15Speaker 2: Parks and Recreation, And actually, as it turns out, there
- 56:17Speaker 2: will be a few changes to the cover just because
- 56:20Speaker 2: again this is the what they put out for people
- 56:23Speaker 2: to get an advanced look at it. And there's a setting,
- 56:26Speaker 2: there's a sign, and I mean I wrote something to
- 56:28Speaker 2: you in the book and the first couple of pages Bridger.
- 56:32Speaker 3: I know you said no gifts, but I couldn't help myself.
- 56:35Speaker 3: Can't wait to see what you've gotten.
- 56:37Speaker 2: Yes, And that is why I showed up.
- 56:39Speaker 3: Ye see why won't you just die?
- 56:42Speaker 2: Well, that's just something I put on everybody's But that's great.
- 56:48Speaker 3: Is I love this cover, dude, it's a cover is
- 56:51Speaker 3: my favorite thing. What is the start? It's like that
- 56:54Speaker 3: oldure like.
- 56:56Speaker 2: Yeah, like if you went to this how they do
- 56:58Speaker 2: the you know, you go to a rest and there's
- 57:00Speaker 2: act of a famous person all the major players on
- 57:04Speaker 2: Parks and Recreation around this cover and their caricatures. And
- 57:07Speaker 2: there's also, as you young people say, there's these things
- 57:10Speaker 2: called easter eggs. Yes, so there's little easter eggs for
- 57:15Speaker 2: the big fans of the show. There's like a DJ
- 57:17Speaker 2: roombum yeah right there. But Hillary Clinton is in there
- 57:21Speaker 2: because you know, Leslie loved Hillary Clinton. But yeah, Tammy's
- 57:25Speaker 2: in there, and all the cast shout them all, wait,
- 57:28Speaker 2: tweet just great. Yeah, Jean Ralphiel Biden. And there's Joe
- 57:33Speaker 2: Biden because Amy was obsessed with Leslie was obsessed with
- 57:36Speaker 2: Joe Biden. Yeah, I'm really And then then I didn't
- 57:39Speaker 2: draw it, but I'm so proud of that cover.
- 57:41Speaker 3: Beautiful. That's so cool.
- 57:43Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, So that's been my obsession over the last
- 57:47Speaker 2: It's taken me about a year and a half. You know,
- 57:51Speaker 2: you get a deadline, you know, this book thing happens,
- 57:54Speaker 2: a deal is cut, and then they give you dates.
- 57:57Speaker 2: And I remember talking to Nick about it. Nick Offerman,
- 57:59Speaker 2: who played Ryn Swanson. He's done I think three books
- 58:02Speaker 2: at this point, and he said, that's the that's the
- 58:05Speaker 2: motherfucker that deadline. And I turned it in two weeks late,
- 58:10Speaker 2: which I was all worked up about because a timely person. Sure,
- 58:14Speaker 2: I find out in the book world that's two months early.
- 58:18Speaker 2: So as it turns out, I did just fine, because
- 58:21Speaker 2: now I don't hear another word from them for two
- 58:23Speaker 2: to three months because they never expected it. This of course,
- 58:26Speaker 2: and then you do rewrites and this and back and forth.
- 58:29Speaker 2: It's a whole thing. But it's I'm really proud of it.
- 58:33Speaker 2: I never in a million years thought I'd have a book.
- 58:35Speaker 3: Amazing, I mean, what an achievement.
- 58:37Speaker 2: Well, we'll see. There's a lot of pages. There's a
- 58:41Speaker 2: lot of pictures, pictures people have never seen before, Pictures
- 58:44Speaker 2: you took or yes, they came off of my phone's
- 58:48Speaker 2: oh no, that's me like seventh or eighth grade?
- 58:52Speaker 4: What you was this professionally taken? Yeah, I have a
- 58:54Speaker 4: school the school picture you have like a prop. That's
- 58:57Speaker 4: how they did it, baby, And this is all black.
- 59:00Speaker 4: Then the real book is going to be in color.
- 59:02Speaker 4: Everything you got, as.
- 59:03Speaker 2: They call it, a galley, yeah, of course. And actually
- 59:06Speaker 2: in this galley, some of the captions under the pictures
- 59:09Speaker 2: don't even match the picture. So it's the it's the
- 59:12Speaker 2: book before the.
- 59:13Speaker 3: It's very confused, very confused, very.
- 59:17Speaker 2: Want to have them out there that I have, and
- 59:19Speaker 2: you have one of them.
- 59:20Speaker 3: You met Mary Tyler Moore, Yes, I did, where.
- 59:22Speaker 2: Oh my god, Saturday Night Live. I am obsessed with
- 59:26Speaker 2: old television, like again Golden Girls, but Mary Taylor Moore,
- 59:30Speaker 2: Dick Van Dyke, all in the family, Carolinet show, like
- 59:33Speaker 2: these are shows, Bob Newhart mashed. These are shows that
- 59:37Speaker 2: just just rock every part of my world. And I
- 59:40Speaker 2: was truly obsessed with Mary Tellamore and Dick Van Dyke,
- 59:43Speaker 2: and so I was when I started becoming an actor.
- 59:46Speaker 2: In Chicago. I was doing a play there with my
- 59:49Speaker 2: comedy group and we were we had created this play
- 59:53Speaker 2: and we got one of the SNL writers, Christine Xander,
- 59:56Speaker 2: to be our director, which was amazing. And so you
- 59:59Speaker 2: get to know herre over the Sun, and then she
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: knows my obsessions blah blah blah, and she calls me
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: and she goes just so you know, Mary Tellamore is
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: hosting Oh are you kidding me? Now, I didn't have
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: two nickels to rub together. So I talked to some friends,
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: a couple other people in the show, and I said
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: Mary Tellamore, And to be honest, they were like, eh,
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: oh what a spot. The musical guest that week was
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: Elvis Costello.
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: Oh what great.
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: They were like super hyph for Elvis and nothing against
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: Elvis Costello. I am a fan also, but that wasn't
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: my That wasn't my reason for going in begging and
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: borrowing and stealing. And we all went to New York
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: and there she was, and she was everything I wanted
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: her to be. And there's a very very embarrassing story
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: in the book about what happened. Got to buy it
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: to hear it, but it was I made a fool
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: of myself, a fool of myself to the point where
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: she thought, at least this was my impression that I,
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: perhaps the term we've bed used today would be I
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: was special needs. Oh, because that's how crazy things got. Wow,
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: it was. But she was so lovely, gracious, and so
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: then as life went on, I worked with I got
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: to meet her. I worked with Dick Van Dyke, I
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: worked with Carol Burnette. These are people that I dreamt like. Literally,
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: I would have dreams of being at table reads on
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: different things with people like this, And so to now
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: sit here and say I've had moments with them still
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: blows my mind. Is a surreal feeling, surreal, it's surreal.
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: Wow, that is really wild. And you've got to see
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: Elvis Costello what.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: Yes, Oh, oh, I'm going to okay, so let's see
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: I'm going to say eighty eight, eighty nine. Okay, So
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: we're talking a long time ago. And the cool part
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: was because again my friend. Our friend was a writer
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: for the show. So we saw Elvis do his sound check.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: He did all the songs. We were ten feet ten
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: feet from him doing that, and then during the show
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: they let us stand on the floor. It was and
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: there's Lord Miles with Lord and Michael's walking around and like,
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: what the hell? And it was in the days of
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: of Oh Jan Hooks and yeah, I loved Jan Hooks.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: I just I just every once in a while, I'll
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: do a thirty watch.
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: Uh that's what. There you go. Now you've thought of
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: their recapta recap too.
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: Yeah, Uh, what is it called? Rock? Thirty rock? And
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: Jan Hooks played Jenna's mother on the show, and I
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: just recently saw one of those episodes. She was brilliant
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: but also like John Lovetts and it was that crowd
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: and uh, that was a dream come true. I'm in
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: New York, I'm in the studio, I'm standing where these
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: hosts stand. It was wild. And then many many years later,
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: when Chris Pratt was hosting Me and Retta and Nick
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: and Nick was I think Megan was there to Melalley,
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: Oh gosh, anyway, Amy was there. I think anyway, a
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: group of us surprised him, and we went to New
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: York and when he came out to host, we were up.
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: He looked up and there we were. Yeah, it was
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: It was really cool. So I've had a couple of
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: cool moments there.
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: Oh beautiful. Well, once it's going to republished.
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: November nineteenth, it comes out and there's book tours, there's like,
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: oh good luck. I just recently anyone follows me on
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: Instagram the real Jim O'Hare and on my Facebook, I
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: think it's just Jim o' hare. But I had to
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: sign over three thousand pages for assigned copies of the book. Dude,
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: Oh my god. And they gave me a deadline. So
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: of course Jim O'Hare with deadlines, he needs to meet them.
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: It's hours and hours. And also I put a fun
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: little thing in everyone, so I'm not just signing my name.
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: I'm signing something.
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: I feel sympathy for you just.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: I'm an idiot. So on top of it, not only
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: did I sign my name, then I had to I
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: signed this funny thing that fans of the show will
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: and they'll get it and laugh and they'll get a
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: big kick out of it. I don't know how many
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: hours it just went on forever and forever and forever.
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: They just kept this acts just wouldn't disappear. Uh And
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: I will tell you the signatures look a lot different
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: from the first five hundred page. There's a lot of
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: blood on the page.
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: Were you listening to music? What were you doing during this?
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: Golden Girls could have been on. I do like a
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: good date line. Who did it? We're going to find
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: out who the murderer is. I do like that. Yeah,
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: or you know, I can put Seinfeld on, I can
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: put the Office on. I can put a show called
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: Parks and Recreation, which I masturbate too. But uh oh
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: wait did I say that out loud? I'm sorry?
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: Can you know? That was the man on the phone.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: We haven't started this yet, right, we're amily, so you're
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: still putting this together. Okay, so we haven't started. Okay,
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: good please, I don't want that to get out there. No,
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: Actually I have, you know, I do a recollection podcast
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: of Parks Micreation, and so of course I'm rewatching them
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: all again. I haven't seen them in years, and it's
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: so fun. But I am still that actor. I don't
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: like to watch myself, you know, And I think a
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: lot of actors are like that. Even on set there's
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: some actors and no knock to them. Everyone does their
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: own thing, but they want to see after a take.
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: Oh let me see, let me see, not me, right,
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: I make the powers that be. We'll piece it together
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: and give me my best takes and go on from there. Right, Yeah,
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: just not that guy. But yeah, over three thousand signatures.
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: They there's a place called Books a Million that you
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: can get these signed ones, and then Barnes and Noble.
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: So it's yeah, it's I'm learning so much. This is
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: the world I know nothing about. And then I have
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: to do a tour of New York, LA, Chicago, Boston, Miami.
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: Fun.
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: I think that will be because again I'm so shy,
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: as you can tell, I don't like to talk. No,
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: and that that is up my alley. That type of
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: thing will be up my end. I think you will
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: do the late shows and you know the promo.
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: It will be very fun. Yeah, hopefully, And listener. Another
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: fun thing is the upcoming live show. I of course
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: have to mention October thirteenth at the Bell House in Brooklyn.
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: Is there any other information you need the Bellhouse? N
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: Why do you have to be there. Okay. I think
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: it's time to play a game. Uh oh, We're going
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: to play a game called Gift or a Curse. But
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: I need a number between one and ten from you.
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: Eight. Okay.
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: I have to do some light calculating to get our
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: game pieces. So right now, you can continue to promote,
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: you can recommend, you can do whatever you want with
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: the microL I'll be right back.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: Okay. People might why did he immediately go to eight.
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: I like to always go one inch less than my
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: penis size, so that is why I stuck with eight.
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: What else can I promote? I can promote the book
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: Welcome to Pawnee. I can promote I don't know if
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: I'm doing a new project with Arby Plaza. It's an
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: animation project. I don't know if I'm allowed to say
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: much about that at this point, but I am doing it.
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: I'm shooting a pilot soon. I have the podcast Parks
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: and Recollection with Greg Levine and I over at Team Coco,
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: which you can find anywhere you get your podcasts. Can
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: I give you enough time? Perfect? Perfect?
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: This is how we play Gift or a Curse. I'm
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: gonna name three things you're going to tell me if
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: there're a gift or a curse, and why to me?
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: Like if it were, I'm not giving you any more.
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: That's fair.
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: I will tell you there are correct answers, so be
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: very careful. But you're gonna tell me if they're a
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: gift or a curse? And why? Does that make perfect sense?
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: It does, we'll see, Okay.
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: This first one is from a listener named Carla. Gift
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: or a curse? Ice in restaurant water glasses?
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: Oh my god, gift? Why ice in anything? Gift? I
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: just came back from Europe. They're not fans of ice.
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: Give me ice, give me air conditioning, give me anything cold,
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: give me ice. Yes, I want a drink cold, and
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: if I'm going to be forced to shove down awful water,
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: I want that water to be cold. So gift correct.
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: I love ice. It is a fascinating phenomenon that the
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: United States seems to be the only place that puts
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: ice in.
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: It does seem to be, Yes, it does seem to be.
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: We love an ice cold drink, but cold roomed. I
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: have like grown to like a room temperature water, but
- 1:08:04Speaker 3: I always prefer an ice water.
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: And I as much as I do want my eyes.
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: I also when I get my diet coke and McDonald's,
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: I will say light ice please, because I do get
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: a little pissy bridger when I get three quarters of
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: a cup of ice and I'm done with that drink
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: that could have been soda exactly, So I do light
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: ice please, And you know they're thinking, you cheap fucker,
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: but I'm sorry. I want to enjoy that diet coke
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: and I want as much of it as I can get.
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: I do that with cold brew. I always say light
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: right ice please makes sense sense. I don't want more
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: ice than I need.
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: So I'm already correct no matter what else happened.
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I mean you can. I mean you can
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: walk away having failed.
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: Yes, well, welcome to my world.
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: Okay. Number two this is from a listener named Amanda
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: gif to a curse old men at the gym working
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: out in jeans.
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: Okay, here's the thing. I can say this because I'm
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: one of them. I am an old man. I'm sixty
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: two years old now, which shocks me every day, like
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: I still feel like I'm twenty and just stupid, but
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: I'm not. And here's what happens with old men at
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: the gym now, I don't do jeans, but I'll do
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: my shorts whatever. And here's what else I don't do
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: that old men seem to want to do at the gym.
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: I don't walk around naked in the gym because your
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: balls are sagging to your knees and nobody needs to
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: see it. Now, I just again, I keep saying, just
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: came back from Europe where I'm on a beach and
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: people don't care, and there's balls hanging and there's boobs flapping,
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: and God blessed, they're probably mentally better off than I
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: could ever be, because that's human. It's called being human.
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: Balls sag on men, boob sag on women. As we
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: get older, this is everything. Everything SAgs, asses, sag at
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: all SAgs. So I find it to just be like,
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: it makes me chuckle a little, and I feel better
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: than because I don't wear jeans and I am one
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: of them. So I'm proud of myself. So I'm gonna
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: say no, so curse, right, is that my curse? Curse?
- 1:10:07Speaker 3: Oh Jim, it's a gift.
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: Okay, If it's a gift, here's the only explanation I
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: think you're gonna come up with, because it's not a gift.
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: Take that you're war we're not coming up with anything.
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: I'm going to share a truth.
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: Could it be? Could it be because I know what
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: I look like. I'm in shorts right now as we speak.
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: I don't think I didn't catch an le's eyeing me.
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: I know, I know, I get it. Hey, I don't
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: blame it. You're human. Uh she sees this package going
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: on here.
- 1:10:32Speaker 3: We're all looking at these shorts.
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: We're all looking. We see we say how it's cupping
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: the buttocks. We get it, we get it. But maybe
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: because you know, skin gets funkier as we get older
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: and stuff like. Otherwise, explain to me how pants are
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: a good thing.
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: Jeans at the gym look incredible. Everybody jeans at the gym.
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: It's get Let me put a pair of jeans for
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: you right now, and you tell me that looks incredible. No,
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: I I would like judge in here because I'm feeling.
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: I'm feeling this is you're.
- 1:11:03Speaker 3: Looking at a baby. Damn it. Jeans of the gym.
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: Everybody loves it. Gives us something to talk about.
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: Well it does. Well, guess I'll give you that. It
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: gives you something to talk about.
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: And it's something. You know, you go into the gym,
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: everybody's looking incredible, and then you know it balances the scales.
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: Somebody's working out in their jeans, It's like, what what
- 1:11:21Speaker 3: is going on?
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: Yes, when you're miserable on the treadmill, you can look
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: and think in your head, oh my god, what is
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: happening over there? And yes, it makes a minute go
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: by that this drudgery, it makes a little less painful.
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: Well, yeah, there should be more denim at the gym.
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: I disagree, but we will agree to disagree.
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: Well, you don't get the point, you're not going to
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: get it.
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: And how much per point? I forgot? How much is
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: what is the price?
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: A billion?
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: Damn it?
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: So you're you've got a billion points?
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: I got a billion? Okay, okay, and I can turn those.
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: In for those we're working on a program.
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: How that turns out.
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: We're trying to get the app together.
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: Here's a Golden Girls mask.
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: Okay, number three, this is your chance for a little
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: bit bit of redemption. This is from a listener named
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: and I'm so sorry. I r A N n v
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: E I g ron vig. It feels very Scandinavian to me,
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: it does. Ron vig ron vigue, my apologies, Ronnie. Gift
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: or a curse? Clouds drifting in front of the sun
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: in the sky?
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: I live in La So I screamed that that's a gift.
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: I screamed that that's a gift because you get moments
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: of release from the intense sun, the intense heat. So
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: for me, Jim O'Hare now, so maybe because you're being
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: very weird about these answers, so I need maybe I
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: need to base this not just on my thoughts, but
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: on how the world would think. And I'm going to
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: think for the world now, Bridger, and I'm going to say,
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: damn it, the world agrees with me. And it's a
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: good thing. Clouds are good. That's where I'm going. I'll
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: fight you one to the death on this one.
- 1:13:05Speaker 3: You've got one billion out of three billion?
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: How is that occur?
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: It's a curse. Clouds have the entire sky to be
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: It's a desperate move on cloud's part. The sun. Let
- 1:13:17Speaker 3: the yes. Let the sun do its thing. The clouds
- 1:13:22Speaker 3: you've got everywhere you can possibly be, Let the sun
- 1:13:25Speaker 3: do its thing.
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: It's a combo. It's an the sky the clouds friendly.
- 1:13:30Speaker 3: No, the sun has got to have its own private
- 1:13:33Speaker 3: space in the sky.
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: Damn you, Bridger.
- 1:13:35Speaker 3: I need to be able to look directly at the
- 1:13:38Speaker 3: sun whenever I want.
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: Wow. Okay, okay, I mean you are out of your
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: mind and I am going to file agrievance. At least
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: who is there a form? Who do I is? There
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: is there hr department here that would be me? That
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: would God? Who side do you want on this?
- 1:13:54Speaker 3: Only time will tell a last look at me? Look
- 1:13:57Speaker 3: the lace.
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: Damn it. I think I know where she's gonna fall out.
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: Oh well, I hate to hear you fail so badly.
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: Just so you know, I'll go to I will sleep
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: tonight with my head soundly on that pillow, knowing I
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: was three for three. Now you can judge at how
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: you will, but you are in correct. I will say
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: you were true to.
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: Who you are.
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: I am true to who I am.
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: You know you've believed in yourself and that there is
- 1:14:20Speaker 3: something in that. It's not a win, but it is something.
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: It's something.
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: Okay, Well, let's move on. This is the final segment
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: of the podcast. This is called I Said no emails.
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: People write into I Said No gifts at gmail dot
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: com begging for answers to all of life's problems, all
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: kinds of things. Well, you help me answer a question.
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: Sure I can. I'm very smart. I played doctors on televisions,
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: I played lawyers. I'm an idiot in real life, but
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: I have played those characters.
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: Okay, perfect, let's get into this. It says, dearest Bridger
- 1:14:50Speaker 3: and guest. Every year, one of my friends hosts a
- 1:14:53Speaker 3: small and lovely Halloween party. Okay, I don't have any
- 1:14:57Speaker 3: friends like that. She has let me know that this
- 1:15:02Speaker 3: year she's asking everyone in attendance to take part in
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: a secret Satan gift exchange, where we'll all give each
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: other Halloween themed gifts. Since I've been given this information early,
- 1:15:13Speaker 3: I want to be prepared any ideas for gifts I
- 1:15:16Speaker 3: could contribute to. The monetary limit on any exchanges is
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: usually capped at fifteen dollars because we're all poor grad students.
- 1:15:23Speaker 3: Sure your time and help is appreciated. Take care, Chloe. Interesting,
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: this is an interesting.
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: That is interesting. I like, I love a party. I'm
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: not a dress up guy, so generally Halloween is like
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: a bit of a pain in the ass if there's
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: a dress up party. But I do think like a
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: secret Sanna is always fun, So I'm guessing this would
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: be fun also. Okay, so I do like that thought. Boy,
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: where can you get a finger? Like, just a finger
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: that doesn't seem too hard to get in a box.
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: Just put a finger in a box? No, for fifteen bucks?
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: What can you get?
- 1:15:58Speaker 3: I mean, if you probably could get a finger for
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: fifteen depending on which part of town you're in.
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it could.
- 1:16:03Speaker 3: I mean, and you also have ten of your own
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: you do if you really want to commit to this
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: little project, you can do at home.
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: And it's free if you have good insurance, because insurance
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: will cover the sutures. And you're giving this gift, yeah,
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: under fifteen bucks. I don't know.
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: I mean my thought, I'm seeing the word satan. Yeah,
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: and I'm seeing it's got to be cheap. I'm thinking
- 1:16:22Speaker 3: anytime I'm at an estate sale, I'm thinking, every object
- 1:16:26Speaker 3: here is haunted. Find in a state sale, interesting, find
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: in a state sale by any item there, it will
- 1:16:33Speaker 3: be haunted. And then that that's the gift. It's such
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: a beautiful obviously, look for something that looks a little spooky, right.
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: I don't like the shop and to me and the
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: state sale is shopping and we've gone over this. I
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: couldn't do it.
- 1:16:46Speaker 3: Look as snooping.
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: I like snooping.
- 1:16:49Speaker 3: That's kind of how I look at the state sales.
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: I'm going to open a cabinet in the bathroom, of course,
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: if they have some you know, pills there whatever. Don't
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: judge me. Um yeah, that nobody. You're right. You just
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: say this is from a haunted because you don't know
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: what's haunted or what's not. Absolutely said, I could take
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: something from any one of my drawers and say it's
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: from somewhere. No one knows what the hell I've done.
- 1:17:12Speaker 3: But the feeling will be there, the evil feeling.
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: Will be the premise of the evening. Yeah, yeah, that's great.
- 1:17:18Speaker 3: You've got to bring something evil into this exchange.
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: I like to think I bring my personality, and that
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: is evil, pure pure.
- 1:17:26Speaker 3: That's kind of what you're known as, kind of demonic figure. Yes,
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: I mean calling upon a demon is always free as well.
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: Don't say beetlejuice three times time.
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: Don't do it, bloody Mary.
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: Oh I used to do that.
- 1:17:38Speaker 3: Oh I love you, yes, yes.
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: And I'd steer in that mirror. We had a little
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: in the house I grew up, and we had a tiny, one,
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: tiny little guest bathroom, and I would just steer in
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: that mirror and just scare the shit out of myself.
- 1:17:51Speaker 3: But I never got to a visit.
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: You know, I never did either, But I was sure
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: sometimes because if you close your eyes really tight and
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: open them fast, your own reflection scarcely right, because you're
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: not exactly sure what you're seeing for that brief moment.
- 1:18:02Speaker 3: And that's a great failing. Yeah, I feel like that's
- 1:18:05Speaker 3: a great thing. Is a Wiji board fifteen dollars?
- 1:18:07Speaker 2: Maybe? Oh?
- 1:18:09Speaker 3: Really, you got a coupon?
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: Maybe a coupon that. I think they're going to be
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: more than that.
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: Yeah, they're probably ninety nine nineteen. I would have even
- 1:18:18Speaker 3: thought more so, nineteen ninety nine. It is not that's
- 1:18:21Speaker 3: only five dollars more. Nobody's got to know that she's.
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: Twenty bucks to talk to the dead. That's not bad. Oh,
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: that's a credit, is a you know what it costs
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: me to have a good phone plan from Europe back here?
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: That was way more than twenty bucks. Of course, I
- 1:18:35Speaker 2: talk to the dead nineteen ninety five. I'm on board.
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: Are you scared of Satan?
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: I'm actually a Catholic, A practicing Catholic, and not that
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: I go to church every week, but I am a
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: Catholic guy and was raised that way and fell away
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: and then came back and all that stuff. But I'm
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: not I'm what they call a cafeteria Catholic, right. I
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: believe what I believe, and I don't believe the stuff
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: I don't want to believe. I'm I'm very pro birth control.
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: I'm very pro LGBTQ. I don't care who mary, have
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: a good time, be safe. I'm pro whatever can something
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: adults are involved in. I'm all on board with that. Uh.
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: That being said, I don't believe in Satan, Okay, I
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: just don't. I think it's a way to keep people controlled.
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: Which people could say, well, religion is a way to
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: keep people controlled, and that's probably that could absolutely be true.
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: I certainly have my doubts about certain things. Who knows.
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: I mean, we're supposed to believe an arc carried two
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: of every animal and then the earth was flooded by
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: a wonderful God who loves us, but he killed all
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: these people on the earth.
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: And so anyway, there's a lot of bad days.
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: We all have bad days. Yes, Oh, I hate when
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: God has bad days. It just really isn't good for us. No,
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: but I have faith. I believe there's something after this.
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: I believe when my time comes, which I'm hoping, I
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: assume before midnight.
- 1:19:51Speaker 3: Tonight, I'm going to attack you in the parking.
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: No, I would think my heart will go by then.
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: I would imagine.
- 1:19:59Speaker 3: No, Oh, God, that doesn't happen enough, I know. Do
- 1:20:03Speaker 3: we have your permission to release you?
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: Yes? You do have my permission, So that will be
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: good for this podcast this. Yes. Not if I get
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: in a carre accent. That doesn't count. Only if it's
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: a heart attack. No, but I do believe there'll be
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: people waiting for me on the other side, my parents
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: and loved ones. It's lovely and that gives me peace.
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: And if I'm wrong, I'll never know. I'll never know.
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: Just lights will be out. So uh. I have a
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: dear friend who's he runs a whole skeptic organization. They're
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: atheists and everything, and and I always hate them. I
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: win because I get peace from this, I get solitude,
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: and I think that my dying day comes, there will
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: be knowing. Okay, this is sad, but I'm about to know.
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: He doesn't have that and so I win. Ha ha ha.
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: An adult man just said on your show, ha ha
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: ha ha ha ha and can you can you leat
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: that please?
- 1:21:00Speaker 3: I know, okay, volume up, I want an echo effect
- 1:21:05Speaker 3: put on it. Let's really maybe some auto tune. Let's
- 1:21:09Speaker 3: juice that piece of audience.
- 1:21:10Speaker 2: Why not? Why not?
- 1:21:12Speaker 3: Okay? Well, I think Chloe's gotten her answer. A finger,
- 1:21:16Speaker 3: a haunted item, just simply an evil attitude something like
- 1:21:20Speaker 3: that is a perfect thing to take to a party.
- 1:21:22Speaker 3: Oh or some you know, evil shaped.
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: Cookie, scream into a box and say in this box
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: is a screen.
- 1:21:30Speaker 3: That's a great It's I.
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: Mean, how scary is that?
- 1:21:32Speaker 3: So many things you can do at home, So many
- 1:21:34Speaker 3: things just got to get crafted.
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: Yep. I know what one guy was doing when I
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: was talking to him on the phone. See, that's called
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: a callback bridger. Now, as a experience improvisational actor, I
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: can handle a callback. Now the listeners who aren't experience
- 1:21:48Speaker 2: I'd be like, what is he talking about? What is
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: happening here? But that is called a callback. That's called
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: brilliant comedy. Or some would just say sad. So that
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: will be up to the listener.
- 1:22:00Speaker 3: Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, Jim, I've had such
- 1:22:04Speaker 3: a wonderful and I've got a diet coke for two
- 1:22:07Speaker 3: and it's.
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: The big one in the plastic job.
- 1:22:10Speaker 3: And I've got your book to read, and I've got
- 1:22:12Speaker 3: I'm prepared for any COVID surges.
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: Again, I heard something I don't know. I read something
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: always I don't know something going on.
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: Oh, I can wear this while watching my gals, The
- 1:22:24Speaker 3: Golden Girls.
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: The Golden Girls.
- 1:22:26Speaker 3: Thank you so much for being a delightful time and listener. Look,
- 1:22:33Speaker 3: we made it through the podcast, you know, in the
- 1:22:35Speaker 3: new studio. I hope that you were able to remain calm.
- 1:22:40Speaker 3: I was able to do a decent job. I think
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: we can all say I got an A plus.
- 1:22:45Speaker 2: I'm sorry, might cut off now because I'd like to
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: interject on that. Oh now, listener, the podcast is over.
- 1:22:52Speaker 3: We have to end the audio now. I love you,
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: I said. No Gifts is an exactly right production. It's
- 1:23:05Speaker 3: produced by our dear friend Analise Nelson, and it's beautifully
- 1:23:08Speaker 3: mixed by Ben Holliday. And we couldn't do it without
- 1:23:11Speaker 3: our guest booker, Patrick Coottner. The theme song, of course,
- 1:23:15Speaker 3: could only come from miracle worker Amy Mann. You must
- 1:23:20Speaker 3: follow the show on Instagram at I said, no gifts.
- 1:23:23Speaker 3: I don't want to hear any excuses. That's where you
- 1:23:25Speaker 3: get to see pictures of all these gorgeous gifts I'm getting.
- 1:23:27Speaker 3: And don't you want to see pictures of the gifts
- 1:23:31Speaker 3: I invit?
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: Did you hear? Funa man myself perfectly clear? But you're
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: a guest to me. You gotta come to me empty
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: And I said, no guests, your presences, presents and I'm
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: already too much stuff.
- 1:23:57Speaker 3: So how did you?
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: Dadsy me
