  And well, it's going to be heavy, though.

  Let's talk about the reason you guys decided to do a film with this kind of theme or content.

  Obviously, spiritual warfare is very real and I think maybe very minimized in the church.

  Maybe ignored, but I don't think we're as discerning as we should be.

  Well, first, you've got to kind of back up and understand, especially for people who don't know who we are and maybe is a new listener, this is our fifth film in eight years.

  And so we started with, first it was abortion, the attack on life.
• 3:12
  Next, we did the attack of innocence through the mind polluters.
• 3:16
  Then we went on to dysphoria and did the attack on identity.
• 3:20
  Then we went through Title IX.
• 3:22
  And so we have seen all of this.
• 3:24
  all of these angles of what's happening in our culture and really just looking at them from a biblical perspective to help people really peel back the layers of what's happening and really look at it through the lens of scripture to help, you know, navigate, obviously, the cultural climate, but then help their own families and those around them.

  It's really about people knowing Jesus.
• 3:50
  It's a heavy topic, and I think maybe it seems even more so because we don't talk a lot about it.

  But everyone knows, I mean, if you've been a Christian for any length of time, pretty much everyone knows Ephesians 6 and the armor of God.

  But what does that all mean?

  There's wording in there talking about this present darkness, the powers, principalities, forces of darkness in high places.

  It's like, what is that all about?
• 4:21
  Well, we forget that this is very real.
• 4:24
  Demons are real.
• 4:26
  The spiritual realm, the angels and demons, there's a realm that it's in constant friction and warfare.
• 4:33
  And it's all around us.
• 4:34
  And we see, I think more people are understanding because of what we're seeing played out in our culture, in our country, around the world.

  We see, wow, that's got to be demonic.
• 4:45
  There's got to be some spiritual behind that.
• 4:48
  Mark, can you speak to that a little bit?

  Yeah.
• 4:51
  You know, one of the things that we noticed as we were working on the research and production of this film is how in Western culture, especially in America, we have over medicalized everything to explain the way.

  And, you know, there's, there's a scene in, in principalities when we're talking about politics, there's a scene in the Ohio state house where there's a woman legislator who is reading the text of a, you know,

  of lead a piece of legislation to to combat boys and women's sports right and there's a there's a male legislator
• 5:33
  just across the room, and you start hearing him get louder and louder, and then he starts banging on the desk and screaming like a toddler.
• 5:43
  And nobody does anything.
• 5:44
  Nobody lifts a finger, and he lets this man just throw a temper tantrum.
• 5:50
  And to people who are in the Scriptures, it is clearly a demonic manifestation.
• 5:56
  Clearly.
• 5:57
  Yep.

  But, you know, because I'm a movie guy, you know I'm going to have a movie illustration.

  And I really think that some of the best illustrations of biblical truth a lot of times come from the most hedonistic sources, if you will.

  You remember the movie The Matrix.

  Yeah.
• 6:17
  It was a very popular movie.
• 6:18
  It came out, I think, in 1999.
• 6:20
  There's this scene where Lawrence Fishburne, who plays Morpheus, has this scene with Keanu Reeves, who plays Neo.

  So Morpheus looks at Neo and he says, do you believe in fate?
• 6:33
  And Neo looks at him and says, no.
• 6:36
  And he says, why not?
• 6:37
  And Neo's answer is, because I don't like the idea that I'm not in control of my own life.

  And I think about that and I think, this is our modern society.
• 6:46
  Yeah.
• 6:47
  When the Bible isn't read anymore, then you don't have the doctrine of Scripture.
• 6:55
  And so I don't want to think about something that I can't control.

  will medicalize it.

  Now I can make a pill to fix it.

  Now I'm in control again.
• 7:05
  And this is what is what I have seen has happened because things like that, we'll explain that away as, you know, well, he has thus and such psychological condition.

  And it was really caused by her actions and she's being mean spirited and blah, blah, blah.

  And

  In reality, what's happening there is she is agitating his demon because they're dealing with the reality of biology.

  So it is a fascinating thing.

  And I think the reason why people don't recognize it is because they don't read their scriptures anymore.

  I think I agree with you.

  If you don't read the scriptures, you're not going to have an understanding.

  And if you're going to a church where your pastor is not preaching and teaching about these things, you're not going to get it.

  Unless, friend Christian, friend in Christ, you do the digging and the studying at home.

  Get your Bible out and make it a workbook.

  We've got to know our Bibles and what's taught.

  Speaking of manifestations, there's just a recent article I was going to maybe touch on if we had time, and you brought up that other one.

  In the Iowa City Council, they had a meeting that opened with satanic prayer.
• 8:27
  And that's not surprising when you see radical Islamists and Marxists get elected and people who would say, you know, there's actually, and there's people being sworn in on the Koran.

  Instead of the Bible in the United States.
• 8:46
  But so there was a meeting open with a satanic prayer.
• 8:50
  And afterwards, you know, there's some Christian pushback.
• 8:54
  But I'm going, just the fact that these people are doing this, there is a very real battle.

  Talk to us a little bit more about, I mean, it's a long documentary, not very long, like 90 minutes roughly, but you're not going to give everything away.

  Give us some more examples of what you, because you could have made it four hours long with plenty of material, and you probably had to edit it down to what it was.

  Talk to us a little bit more about some of the things that you covered.

  I mean, when you were in Colorado or whatever you want to share about it.

  Well, you bring up the Satanists.

  I can tell you that that's not the first time that that's happened.

  There have been plenty of other incidents like that.

  I sifted through hours and hours of footage of things like that.

  Satanists coming into county, town hall, city meetings to testify and trying to invoke satanic curses and going to Capitol buildings and that.

  And

  So we start off the film by exposing the Satanists.

  And it's interesting because, you know, one of the – we talked on your podcast before about how we had tried to interview a representative from the Satanic Temple.

  And they had initially agreed, and then they canceled a couple hours before –

  we were to conduct the interview in Colorado.
• 11:06
  And we half expected it because they will never be truthful with you about anything.

  And they'll never be reliable about anything they tell you they're going to do.

  And so we talk pretty extensively about the Satanists and the Luciferians.

  And a lot of what the Satanic Temple in particular does is very clown show-esque.

  In fact, people say, oh, they're just a satire group.
• 11:36
  Yeah, I think on the surface you can make that case.
• 11:38
  I call them clowns all the time.
• 11:40
  I mean, they're the ones that run around, want to put their Baphomet statue up.
• 11:44
  But don't count them out.
• 11:48
  While the ones standing on the court steps wearing their devil horns are clownish, the people who are pushing this are not.

  They're very sad about it and they are very dangerous.

  Um, we tie that then with child trafficking and one of the really powerful interviews we have is with Craig Sawyer with veterans for child rescue.

  He's also in the mine pool and he has such profound insight into what child trafficking is, what it's really all about, what's behind it, because that's what they do.

  They go and they rescue kids out of trafficking rings.
• 12:30
  And then that leads into talking about Islam.

  Because Islam, of course, we show a lot of the things that you're not going to see on Fox News.

  It's a lot of these internal things that they do not produce for a Western audience, but we've got them.

  And so it's them talking about how to properly beat your wife, for example.

  And showing them, you know, marrying girls who are eight and nine years old.

  I mean, this goes all the way back to the origins.

  True story.

  And people are not, now more and more people are trying to expose these things.

  And then we have Hedia.

  And Hedia does a phenomenal job of explaining all of that behind it.

  So that's just a random sampling, I think, of what we cover.

  Of course, Alex Newman is in the film, Pastor Scott Bottoms from Colorado, who's also a state representative.

  Aaron Lee, who's leading three initiatives right now during the election cycle in Colorado to protect kids.

  And Jeff Nichols and Fred Pry from Child Evangelism Fellowship, who are the ones that the Satanic Temple has targeted.

  So the Satanic Temple has come up with their after-school Satan Club.
• 14:09
  And you say that and people go, what?
• 14:11
  Yeah, well, we've got it in the film.

  In their own words, Lucian Greaves, the head of the Satanic Temple, talking on national media about that they started their after-school Satan Club specifically to counter good news clubs.

  Anywhere there's a good news club, they want to kick them out by starting their Satanic Temple Club.

  And it's not just the goodness clubs now.
• 14:32
  It's also life-wise.
• 14:33
  Anything that has to do with the gospel, they are in direct opposition to and leading the way.

  They don't last too long, but they're still there to cause problems.

  And so I do want to mention, you talked about the Satanic Temple.

  Some of them are clowns, but we don't know how many sincerely believe and are committed to Satan and believe in the occult and witchcraft and they are casting spells.

  They believe it's very real to the point of doing sacrifices.

  And Amber, I'm going to transition to you and have you just comment briefly because we're about a week, week and a half away from Halloween.

  Yeah.

  And it's not just simple, innocent fun.

  There are people who really believe in this darkness that is Satan inspired and demon inspired.

  Talk to that about.

  I mean, you didn't cover that in the film, but this talk about principalities.

  You know, sometimes people make fun of this, the fact that they come to your door dressed as demons on Halloween, and we just kind of laugh, you know, and there are families that, you know, they do it ignorantly and they celebrate it.

  But I just had someone on, we talked about Christians and celebrating Halloween, and we looked at that, just the verse that we should not partner with those who, or participate in these activities.

  Go ahead and just share briefly on that.

  Well, I think it's an interesting topic of discussion, especially because if you have kids and everybody's looking at this and it's fun, it's fun to play dress up.

  You know, kids want to go out there.

  And we don't always understand, you know, a lot of most people.

  And I will say, I would probably say the majority of people do not look at Halloween and even understand its origins or where it came from or what it's even about.

  It's just a fun day to dress up.

  I mean, that's really what I think a lot of people naively think that that's what it is.
• 16:35
  But, you know, I think we have to remember that people are not our enemy.
• 16:43
  And there is a spiritual darkness around us.

  all of the ritualistic things that happen.
• 16:51
  And even when we were in Colorado, I'll give an example.
• 16:55
  And I think I shared this on one of the podcasts while we were there.
• 16:58
  And, you know, I was sitting down talking to a guy early morning, it was on Halloween, last year, last year.

  And, you know, and he's telling me about all of the pagan rituals and deities that he follows.

  And I was just so excited to sit there and tell him about Jesus Christ.

  You know, and the fact that he sat there and he listened.
• 17:18
  And, you know, and I think that we have to not shy away from sharing the gospel, regardless of where we are, regardless of whatever pagan festival is happening.

  Like we have to continue to bring the light into society.

  Yeah.

  It is Reformation Day, after all.

  It is Reformation Day.

  Well, some would call it National Evangelism Day, because here you got people coming to your door, and it's your property.

  You open your door.

  You can share the gospel, what you believe about the truth of Jesus Christ.

  I know mostly there's young kids, but you can have gospel tracts and hand them out.

  But anyway, I also think about not conforming to the pattern of this world or not conforming to worldly activities.

  So, friends, you can dress it up and give it another name and throw the word harvest in there and do it at your church.

  But I don't have a good feeling about that, a peace in my spirit about just saying, yeah, that's a good idea.

  So each one of you have to decide on that.

  So guys, another article, this is stepping away from principalities for a moment, but these are issues that are spiritual, defining the battle, and showing how the church has been maybe asleep at the wheel.

  They put out a glowing article and interview about these two young lesbians who are building their family.

  And what I would say normalizing sin was,

  And as a same-sex couple, they said, we decided to visit the fertility clinic at Aurora Bay Care Medical Hospital to review their choices.

  They ended up going with in vitro fertilization.

  They now have three children.

  because they went through this clinic and they're just saying, hey, this is what a great thing.

  So what are they doing here?

  They're normalizing sin.

  What is sin?

  Well, wait a minute.

  If you believe in God and then the creation order and marriage between, natural marriage between one man and one woman, and then procreation as far as God would have it in families under the marriage with one man and one woman, this does not line up with that.

  So what they're promoting is something that Christians do not agree with, but I would be surprised if they got any pushback on this article.

  I know it's happening around the country, but guys, did your comment on this?

  I know you addressed the issue of the LGBTQ, and they are very intentional and very proactive about promoting their agenda.

  Well, we addressed all this in dysphoria and Title IX, which have been our...

  our most banned titles so far.

  Um, because the, because the, the LGBTQIA two spirit plus whatever on and on,

  And you're seeing that transpiring places like Canada.

  We were talking about that.

  And they're the ones that are behind all the hate speech laws because they want to shut people up.

  They want to shut people up like us, like you, like anyone who's preaching the word.

  Because when you look up the word doctrine, it means something that is taught.

  It's a worldview doctrine.

  And so in the absence of biblical worldview, the world will install its worldview.

  And so what you've got is people not only normalizing sin, they're playing God.

  They're replacing God.

  They're saying, we don't want you.

  We don't want your law and order.

  We want our own order.
• 22:15
  And of course, it always leads to destruction.

  But that and it goes to the the scene we're referencing earlier in principalities with with the woman in the Ohio State House just trying to read the text of the legislation.

  And they and the guy is shouting her down and no one stops him because they're afraid of him because it's spirit.

  And more people started pounding on their desks after that, too.

  It was really creepy.

  And it was, that was total a manifestation.

  Demonic men and cowardly men who don't have any backbone, nobody would stand up to them.

  Man, if I was in there, I would have, I would have gone over and punched the guy in the face.

  I mean, this is your auto order, son.

  We used to handle things like that.

  And that's probably why I'm not running for office.

  Let's talk briefly about the church and some of the points you made about Christians and how you wrapped up the film.

  Everybody on your show has said it.

  Everybody has a responsibility before the Lord.

  You as a Christian, if you call yourself a Christian, you are responsible for your walk and you're responsible to be in the Word.

  It's not the pastor's responsibility.

  His responsibility is to shepherd the flock, but it's your responsibility as part of the flock to

  to be shepherded by the shepherd.

  You need to be in the Word.

  That's why do people get led astray by doctrines of demons?

  Because they're not reading the Lord's doctrine.

  They're not reading the scriptures.

  There aren't those strong believers around them.

  I mean, we're all held accountable.

  And like I was just talking about Proverbs 27, 17, iron sharpens iron.

  Like you can't grow and get sharp if you're around a bunch of butter knife people.

  I mean,

  If you're not reading the word, I mean, you're dull and everybody's got to want more.

  Everybody's, you know, if you're a Christian, you're praying for somebody to come to the Lord.

  That's our job to be out there, to be salt and light, to be inviting people to come to know Jesus.

  I mean, because as soon as you've been rescued, you're a part of the rescue team.

  Like go and tell other people.

  Don't be ashamed of the gospel, friends.

  And there is a very real battle.
