• 0:39
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, well, yeah, of course.

SPEAKER_05: If you had to listen to it for the rest of your life.
• 0:42
SPEAKER_05: With rocks in my pocket.
• 0:43
SPEAKER_07: I don't think there's any song that if you had to listen to the rest of your life, you wouldn't walk into the ocean with rocks in your pockets.
• 0:47
SPEAKER_05: Oh, but I'd last a few more days if it wasn't Geronimo.

• 1:06
SPEAKER_07: No, it's because that's also quite a good pop song.
• 1:08
SPEAKER_05: No, it's Fedora and Suspenders territory drama.
• 1:11
SPEAKER_05: Nah, that's not his no one near it.
• 1:12
SPEAKER_07: No, it's saying that's in the same league as like a Lumineers.
• 1:15
  SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
• 1:16
  SPEAKER_07: Nah.
• 1:16
SPEAKER_07: Mate, have you listened to like three songs in your life?
• 1:19
SPEAKER_05: I I'm telling you, Geronimo is co-worker pop music.
• 1:23
SPEAKER_07: It's fine, it's fine, it's an absolutely fine song.
• 1:25
SPEAKER_07: There's a lot of there's a lot of things about Shepherd did not like, but the quality of that song is not one of them.
• 1:30
SPEAKER_07: I can tell you that for free.
• 1:32
SPEAKER_07: I know our listeners will support me.
• 1:34
SPEAKER_07: Yeah, but also sometimes our listeners, you know, sometimes I see the DMs I might.
• 1:38
SPEAKER_05: You were arguing with one of our listeners yesterday.
• 1:40
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, while you were drunk at a wedding.
• 1:42
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I'll tell you what.
• 1:44
SPEAKER_05: To be fair, back to the cave, boys and girls.
• 1:46
SPEAKER_05: No, to be fair, I jumped in with you because he was like, You lost me at coldplay.
• 1:50
SPEAKER_05: I was like, absolutely fucking not.
• 1:53
SPEAKER_05: I think I chirped back as ant.
• 1:55
SPEAKER_05: I was like, early coldplay is the fucking best.
• 1:58
  SPEAKER_05: Oh, yeah, it's a banger.
• 1:59
SPEAKER_05: He's picked up parachutes, ladies and gentlemen.
• 2:01
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and I chirped and said, No, old coldplay rules.
• 2:06
  SPEAKER_05: Old play.
• 2:06
SPEAKER_03: And then you're like, absolutely fucking not.
• 2:10
SPEAKER_03: Um, I'll have you know, Coldplay is a fucking incredible band.
• 2:12
SPEAKER_07: I'd had a couple of shweps by that point.
• 2:14
SPEAKER_07: So because you were chirpy.
• 2:17
SPEAKER_07: Getting in there saying some words.
• 2:19
  SPEAKER_07: Oh, fucking hell.
• 2:20
SPEAKER_07: Sam, should we do some new music?
• 2:22
  SPEAKER_05: We should.
• 2:23
  SPEAKER_07: All right.
• 2:23
SPEAKER_07: Well, uh, for me on the pod today, Sam, all locals all day.
• 2:27
  SPEAKER_07: It's all Brizzy stuff.
• 2:28
SPEAKER_07: Or Brizzy and Surrounds, the greater Southeast Queensland area, if you will.
• 2:31
  SPEAKER_07: Someone cut him off.
• 2:32
  SPEAKER_07: He's gonna keep talking.
• 2:35
SPEAKER_07: Uh, this first song, Friends of the Band, Sam, uh, FKA Greatest Hits, now known as Double Talk.
• 2:41
SPEAKER_07: They dropped uh their debut record the other day.
• 2:45
SPEAKER_07: Bit of a bit of a sad story to kind of lead up to the to the to the record.
• 2:49
SPEAKER_07: So um they were, you know, had had the had the uh the build, the career go on, they dropped a couple of EPs, they dropped a few singles, they're about to drop the debut EP, and then unfortunately, Chelsea from the band got diagnosed with breast cancer.
• 3:00
SPEAKER_07: They put it all on hold while she was undergoing treatment, going through recovery.
• 3:04
SPEAKER_07: If you watch the this kind of cute mini documentary narrative by their their um son on the on their uh Instagram, super duper cute.
• 3:11
SPEAKER_07: Um talks about how she kind of fell out of love with music because you know, obviously, life takes over in some ways, but then um kind of like got that spark back, and they were like, well, instead of like, you know, restarting the the release process, let's just put the album out.
• 3:24
SPEAKER_07: So Lips and Bloops is the name of the debut record.
• 3:26
SPEAKER_07: There's a few um songs that we would have brought to the show years and years ago.
• 3:30
SPEAKER_07: Real funky, real psyche kind of groove rock that builds up over time.
• 3:33
SPEAKER_07: One of the best live bands I've ever seen.
• 3:35
SPEAKER_07: Um, they are so fucking good.
• 3:37
SPEAKER_07: But uh, yeah, this is Best Friends by uh Double Talk, FKA Greatest Hits.
• 3:43
  SPEAKER_07: Get it around you.
• 4:10
SPEAKER_05: So, not gonna lie, I wasn't really paying attention fully in your intro because I thought you were talking about FKA twigs.
• 4:18
SPEAKER_07: No, not FKA twigs at all.
• 4:20
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, because I was like, oh, I didn't know they were Australian, but you're saying FKA formerly known as Correct, correct, yes.
• 4:26
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep.
• 4:28
  SPEAKER_05: I know anyway.
• 4:29
SPEAKER_05: Oh, I'm so out of practice because I don't full disclosure, everyone, I forgot my laptop.
• 4:34
  SPEAKER_06: Yeah, that's a fake laptop that he's got.
• 4:35
SPEAKER_05: This is a this is a prop.
• 4:36
SPEAKER_05: We got it from IKEA.
• 4:38
SPEAKER_05: Um and I don't have any of my normal things.
• 4:41
SPEAKER_05: So I'm using my phone and it's he's struggling.
• 4:46
SPEAKER_07: He's really struggling here, people.
• 4:47
SPEAKER_05: It's like when you give a boomer a new phone and you're like, Where's where's my contacts?
• 4:52
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 4:53
SPEAKER_07: How do I make the apps bigger?
• 4:56
SPEAKER_07: Should I get you some spectacles?
• 4:58
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, we've got plenty around here.
• 5:00
SPEAKER_05: I've got some vipers there we can put on.
• 5:02
SPEAKER_05: Let's leave the pennies off, eh?
• 5:04
  SPEAKER_05: Let's do it.
• 5:07
SPEAKER_05: Freight trains this week, Maxwell.
• 5:09
  SPEAKER_05: Mate choo-choo.
• 5:10
  SPEAKER_05: Choo choo.
• 5:11
SPEAKER_06: How many chugga chuggers before we get to a choo-choo?
• 5:15
  SPEAKER_06: Two.
• 5:16
  SPEAKER_06: Chugga chugga choo-choo.
• 5:19
  SPEAKER_06: You've done it.
• 5:21
  SPEAKER_05: Maybe three.
• 5:24
SPEAKER_06: Why did you do four?
• 5:26
SPEAKER_06: Chugga chugga, chugga, chugga, chugga, chugga, choo-choo.
• 5:28
  SPEAKER_05: No, three's good.
• 5:29
  SPEAKER_05: Three's good.
• 5:30
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, because that's six, which has a good beat to it.
• 5:32
SPEAKER_07: Alright, so we're saying six individual chuggers.
• 5:34
  SPEAKER_05: Or even just one.
• 5:35
  SPEAKER_07: Chugga chugga choo-choo.
• 5:37
SPEAKER_07: Okay, so one double as a chugga chugger.
• 5:40
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 5:40
SPEAKER_07: Okay, but so two two individual chugs, if you will.
• 5:45
  SPEAKER_05: I think so.
• 5:46
SPEAKER_05: You're hurting my brain today.
• 5:48
  SPEAKER_07: Alright, mate.
• 5:48
SPEAKER_07: I'll tell you what, you just get back to the train timetable.
• 5:51
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 5:51
SPEAKER_05: Anyway, uh, my first song, Maxwell, I bought this band last week.
• 5:55
  SPEAKER_07: They're called Asava.
• 5:56
SPEAKER_07: Well, whoa, whoa, you're going for a double up, you've gone for a back-to-back.
• 5:59
  SPEAKER_07: That's a f that's a faux pas.
• 6:01
SPEAKER_05: Asava, if you're a friend of Jelongus, I know he plays Support Adelaide.
• 6:04
  SPEAKER_05: Sava Radigalia.
• 6:06
SPEAKER_04: That's a deep cut that no one will understand.
• 6:09
SPEAKER_04: For a second, I don't know if you understood it.
• 6:11
SPEAKER_05: No, I was like, I got the team wrong.
• 6:13
SPEAKER_05: No, the band is Asava, and I brought their song End Again last week, and I've deep dived into their album, and this song's called Comatose, and it is sexy.
• 6:23
  SPEAKER_05: Okay.
• 6:24
SPEAKER_05: So think Chase Atlantic Pop meets.
• 6:28
SPEAKER_05: It's actually it's Sachi 6 vibes, is what I would describe it as.
• 6:32
SPEAKER_05: But just uh a freight train to start us.
• 6:35
  SPEAKER_05: Okay, let's do it.
• 6:37
  SPEAKER_05: Choo choo, mate.
• 6:38
SPEAKER_05: A freight train of sexy.
• 6:40
SPEAKER_05: Running a train on this.
• 7:07
SPEAKER_07: A little more doomy than Saatchi, potentially?
• 7:10
  SPEAKER_05: A little bit.
• 7:10
  SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
• 7:11
  SPEAKER_05: Bit more soundscapy.
• 7:13
SPEAKER_07: Yeah, a bit more atmosphere in that, uh, in that breakdown.
• 7:15
  SPEAKER_07: Bit of Atmos.
• 7:16
  SPEAKER_07: Yes, yes.
• 7:17
  SPEAKER_07: Bit of Dolby Atmos.
• 7:19
  unknown: Yeah.
• 7:19
  SPEAKER_07: It's not a paid spot.
• 7:20
  SPEAKER_05: No, it's not.
• 7:21
  SPEAKER_05: I never understood that.
• 7:21
SPEAKER_05: When I worked at JB Hi Fi, they're like, does this have Dolby Atmos?
• 7:24
SPEAKER_05: I was like, fucking, I guess so.
• 7:26
  SPEAKER_05: What is it?
• 7:27
  SPEAKER_05: I don't know.
• 7:28
SPEAKER_07: It's uh just the way that the mixing and mastering oh I'll shut the fuck up then.
• 7:35
  SPEAKER_07: This guy.
• 7:36
SPEAKER_07: Also, uh, I wasn't planning on doing this, but shout out to our friends at Marshall who shot who have sent us some goodies in the form of their uh Jimi Hendrix um collection.
• 7:44
SPEAKER_07: And these are the this is the first time that we've used them on the show, and I've got the uh audio coming through.
• 7:49
SPEAKER_07: Sounds fucking thick in these, I'll be honest.
• 7:52
  SPEAKER_04: Thick.
• 7:53
SPEAKER_07: That that uh that breakdown hit quite hard.
• 7:55
SPEAKER_07: Not breakdown, but that that big boomy bit hit quite hard.
• 7:58
  SPEAKER_05: He likes it, girthy.
• 7:59
  SPEAKER_07: Yeah, so anyway.
• 8:00
SPEAKER_05: They look good on you.
• 8:01
  SPEAKER_05: Thanks, mate.
• 8:02
  SPEAKER_05: Thanks.
• 8:02
SPEAKER_05: Nice little purple and black.
• 8:04
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, we've got the little speaker here as well.
• 8:06
SPEAKER_07: Yeah, shout out to Marshall who who who just who hooked us up with these.
• 8:09
SPEAKER_07: Um the speakers are sick, the headphones are cool too, like really quality.
• 8:13
SPEAKER_07: The yamps are better at Marshall.
• 8:19
SPEAKER_07: For anyone, including Marshall, if you would like to work with this on a paid capacity, that's fine.
• 8:23
SPEAKER_07: Um, we can take I can take Sam off it if you prefer.
• 8:27
SPEAKER_05: Oh, sometimes my brain works in mysterious ways.
• 8:32
SPEAKER_05: And then afterwards I go, that's not my best.
• 8:37
  SPEAKER_07: Okay.
• 8:38
SPEAKER_07: Um let's move forward, eh?
• 8:41
SPEAKER_07: I want to shout out uh a friend of the show, Amy, who uh introduced me to this next artist.
• 8:45
  SPEAKER_07: They're called Montetna.
• 8:47
SPEAKER_07: Um, they're a Brisbane producer who's dropping that kind of like late night feeling kind of house track sort of vibe, um, blending a few other little genres in as well from the you know in from the EDM world.
• 8:58
SPEAKER_07: Um this track is called Foreigner.
• 9:00
SPEAKER_07: It's a B side to um his most recent single, Think, kind of Lupo the Boy, Harry Hayes type drop, um, which is the part I'm gonna show you, but then towards the back end of the song, it kind of really builds into this like full house banger.
• 9:12
SPEAKER_07: So it kind of takes you on a real journey here.
• 9:14
SPEAKER_07: Um, but I think I think you'll enjoy it.
• 9:17
  SPEAKER_07: I'm ready.
• 9:18
  SPEAKER_07: Cool.
• 9:18
SPEAKER_07: So this is yeah, Foreigner by Montetna.
• 9:48
SPEAKER_07: Late night crash out house.
• 9:50
  SPEAKER_05: Oh, it's late night.
• 9:51
SPEAKER_05: My girlfriend just broke up with me.
• 9:53
SPEAKER_05: Actually, we got a funny message.
• 9:55
  SPEAKER_05: Not a funny.
• 9:56
  SPEAKER_05: Here we go.
• 9:57
  SPEAKER_05: Not funny.
• 9:58
SPEAKER_05: Shout out to our lovely fan who messaged us.
• 10:02
SPEAKER_05: They asked for one of our playlists, essentially, from the most beautiful songs we brought last week.
• 10:08
SPEAKER_05: Okay, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep.
• 10:09
SPEAKER_05: I was like, Yeah, yeah, here's the episode playlist.
• 10:11
  SPEAKER_05: There you go.
• 10:12
SPEAKER_05: And he goes, Thanks, dude.
• 10:16
SPEAKER_05: My girl just left me.
• 10:16
SPEAKER_05: I need this right now.
• 10:19
SPEAKER_05: But then I realized in hindsight I did the worst thing physically possible.
• 10:23
SPEAKER_05: I went, sorry to hear, in times like this, I listen to Ethel Caiden's zeros as well.
• 10:29
SPEAKER_05: Someone checked on this person, and then embarrassed I said, listen in moderation.
• 10:33
SPEAKER_05: Do I do I need to call the police?
• 10:34
  SPEAKER_05: That's a hate crime.
• 10:35
  SPEAKER_04: You might have to.
• 10:36
SPEAKER_07: Afterwards, I was like, whoa, well, um, shout out to that listener.
• 10:41
SPEAKER_07: I hope you are well uh and also extant at this point.
• 10:46
SPEAKER_07: Um that's yeah, Sam's really done you dirty there.
• 10:48
  SPEAKER_07: Apologies.
• 10:50
SPEAKER_05: Uh heal it to feel it.
• 10:51
SPEAKER_07: Well, first, I think it might be the other way around.
• 10:53
SPEAKER_07: I think it's the other way around.
• 10:54
  SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 10:55
SPEAKER_05: Feel it to heal it.
• 10:56
  SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah.
• 10:56
SPEAKER_07: But um I I don't know if I necessarily subscribe to that uh that particular, you know, mantra, but that's fine, you know.
• 11:03
  SPEAKER_07: Hope you're okay.
• 11:04
  SPEAKER_07: Sorry.
• 11:05
  SPEAKER_07: Apologies to hear.
• 11:06
  SPEAKER_07: That's sad.
• 11:07
  SPEAKER_05: Anyway, my next song.
• 11:09
  SPEAKER_05: Moving right along.
• 11:10
  SPEAKER_05: Moving right along.
• 11:11
SPEAKER_05: Throne have dropped a new song.
• 11:14
SPEAKER_05: They've got an album coming out called Unwanted.
• 11:16
SPEAKER_05: It's gonna be the second most intense 20 minutes of your life.
• 11:20
SPEAKER_05: The only one more intense was their first album that also went for 20 minutes.
• 11:24
  SPEAKER_05: 12 songs, 20 minutes.
• 11:25
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 11:26
  SPEAKER_05: On a on a clip there.
• 11:29
  SPEAKER_05: Moving a clip.
• 11:30
  SPEAKER_05: Oh, yeah.
• 11:32
  SPEAKER_05: We'll move forward.
• 11:33
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah, we'll move forward.
• 11:33
SPEAKER_05: We're firing on zero cylinders today.
• 11:36
SPEAKER_05: And I'll listen in high stuff.
• 11:38
SPEAKER_05: Oh, that's what you said.
• 11:40
SPEAKER_05: Anyway, um all I'll say before I go into this is what the actual fuck.
• 11:48
  SPEAKER_05: Okay.
• 11:49
  SPEAKER_05: Fuck me up.
• 12:12
  SPEAKER_07: Tripleted syncopation there.
• 12:13
  SPEAKER_07: There's a lot going on.
• 12:14
SPEAKER_05: Oh, they love an angry song, don't they?
• 12:16
SPEAKER_07: What was the name of that?
• 12:17
SPEAKER_07: I don't think you gave us the tr the track name.
• 12:18
  SPEAKER_07: Unwanted.
• 12:20
SPEAKER_07: Oh, sorry, you said that it's from an album.
• 12:22
  SPEAKER_07: Sorry, sorry.
• 12:22
  SPEAKER_07: Apologies, apologies, apologies.
• 12:24
  SPEAKER_05: No, that's okay.
• 12:25
SPEAKER_05: It was on me, probably.
• 12:25
  SPEAKER_07: No, that's that's fine.
• 12:26
  SPEAKER_07: That's fine.
• 12:26
SPEAKER_07: You get that on the big jobs.
• 12:28
SPEAKER_07: I feel so unwanted wear it now.
• 12:30
  SPEAKER_07: That'd be such a good, that'd be good.
• 12:35
  SPEAKER_05: I feel.
• 12:36
  SPEAKER_05: I can't do it.
• 12:39
SPEAKER_05: Why don't you give us your best screen?
• 12:41
SPEAKER_07: Anyway, Sam, my next song is uh from a an artist named Lottie McLeod.
• 12:45
  SPEAKER_05: Oh, bangers.
• 12:46
  SPEAKER_07: Bangers.
• 12:46
SPEAKER_07: Uh Sam, uh, this song is called Wednesdays at the Waterloo.
• 12:49
SPEAKER_07: Um Lottie McLeod is a singer songwriter from right here in Brisbane, so I have to assume that the Waterloo is the pub just down the road on commercial road.
• 12:56
  SPEAKER_07: Opposite the Triffid.
• 12:57
  SPEAKER_07: Opposite the Triffid, indeed.
• 12:58
SPEAKER_07: Um, so there's kind of like a bit of like an alt country kind of inflection to this one, like really smooth melodies, but there's these kind of like little blue note bend, guitar bends in the in the main riff.
• 13:06
SPEAKER_07: And I think this kind of tracks hit somewhere between like Casey Musgraves Golden Hour sort of thing and then like Phoebe Bridges.
• 13:12
SPEAKER_07: So a little more high energy than Phoebe Bridges, and a little bit more low energy than Casey Musgraves, if that makes sense.
• 13:18
SPEAKER_05: Right in that pocket there, right in the Venn diagram middle ground.
• 13:20
  SPEAKER_07: Yes, exactly.
• 13:21
SPEAKER_07: So yeah, this is Wednesdays at the Waterloo by Lottie McLeod, Sam.
• 13:30
SPEAKER_08: Get them next week, baby.
• 13:38
  SPEAKER_08: You're such a stunning face.
• 13:40
SPEAKER_08: It's that what you're trying to say.
• 13:44
  SPEAKER_08: You're such a stunning face.
• 13:46
  SPEAKER_07: That's cool.
• 13:46
SPEAKER_07: Yeah, that is really cool.
• 13:48
SPEAKER_07: There's a lot going on, but it all just works together.
• 13:50
SPEAKER_05: It reminds me of that um Hudson Freeman song, If you know me.
• 13:54
  SPEAKER_05: Oh, yeah.
• 13:56
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah, that blues country.
• 13:57
SPEAKER_05: Little bit of like swampiness to it.
• 13:59
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it's cool.
• 14:01
SPEAKER_05: Next up for me, Maxwell, friends of the show, the brave.
• 14:04
  SPEAKER_05: Oh, yes, yes, yes.
• 14:05
SPEAKER_05: Shout out Nate, what's up?
• 14:06
SPEAKER_05: Shout out our boy Nate.
• 14:08
SPEAKER_05: Sorry we never posted that.
• 14:09
SPEAKER_07: We have big apologies tonight that are happening off air.
• 14:12
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, we will send you a postcard.
• 14:15
SPEAKER_05: Um and a firmly written.
• 14:18
SPEAKER_05: Maybe like a hamper, a gift hamper.
• 14:20
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
• 14:21
SPEAKER_05: With a new tennis racket.
• 14:23
SPEAKER_05: Anyway, um the the boys are back.
• 14:26
SPEAKER_05: They dropped a new song called Static, and this thing is like an atomic bomb.
• 14:32
  SPEAKER_07: Okay.
• 14:34
SPEAKER_07: Heavily guarded and regulated by an international commission of atomic energy.
• 14:38
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it's not quite enough to be like politically um confusing.
• 14:43
SPEAKER_07: Like regulated, you know, there's no there's no treaties that are holding this thing.
• 14:46
SPEAKER_05: No, there's nothing to communicate between parties on it.
• 14:49
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, we're not fearful of nuclear war.
• 14:52
SPEAKER_05: It's more just like an a nuclear bomb in waiting when you play it in your ears.
• 14:57
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah, that's fair.
• 14:57
  SPEAKER_05: So it's called static.
• 14:58
SPEAKER_05: I'm gonna play you the little blank down.
• 15:00
  SPEAKER_05: Fluff me up, Sam.
• 15:20
  SPEAKER_07: Goodness gorgeous.
• 15:21
SPEAKER_05: It's the heaviest the boys have ever sounded.
• 15:23
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, they're thin sounding thick.
• 15:24
  SPEAKER_05: They're sounding thick.
• 15:26
SPEAKER_05: They're founding thick, my guy.
• 15:28
SPEAKER_05: Was it thick, was it thick?
• 15:29
  SPEAKER_07: We'll never know.
• 15:30
  SPEAKER_07: You never know.
• 15:31
  SPEAKER_07: Only the lisp knows.
• 15:33
SPEAKER_07: Sam, I think it's time we get to a bit of uh bit of news.
• 15:36
  SPEAKER_05: News, reviews, interviews.
• 15:38
SPEAKER_07: All right, what is it?
• 15:39
  SPEAKER_07: 78 amps?
• 15:39
  SPEAKER_07: Fucking hell.
• 15:40
SPEAKER_05: Honestly, what a shit podcast.
• 15:43
SPEAKER_07: Uh Sam, the avalanches uh have announced they're going around the country.
• 15:48
SPEAKER_07: And I mean they're going to all the metros.
• 15:50
SPEAKER_07: Should we warn the mountain patrol?
• 15:52
  SPEAKER_07: We should tell them.
• 15:53
SPEAKER_07: We should tell the park rangers, if you will.
• 15:54
SPEAKER_05: The avalanches are going around the country.
• 15:57
SPEAKER_05: Helmets need to be issued at all ski slopes.
• 15:59
  SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
• 15:59
SPEAKER_07: I've had to make a very ill-timed, poorly tasted joke that I won't make now.
• 16:05
SPEAKER_07: Uh yeah, so the avalanches are heading to all the metro uh cities, which love to hear.
• 16:10
SPEAKER_07: They're doing two nights in Perth, which uh on the February on the Feb on Febru 27th and 28th.
• 16:15
SPEAKER_07: They're doing the Heinland Street Music Hall in Adelaide on March 4th, the Royal Botanical Gardens in Melbourne on March 5th, on the banks here in Brizzy at Q Park.
• 16:24
  SPEAKER_07: Oh my god.
• 16:24
SPEAKER_07: Man, Q Park would be a sick rapper.
• 16:26
SPEAKER_05: It's just Tupac, but it's just Q Park would be great for Queensland skate park.
• 16:30
  SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
• 16:30
  SPEAKER_07: Oh, that's not bad.
• 16:31
  SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
• 16:31
  SPEAKER_05: Indoor skate park.
• 16:32
  SPEAKER_05: Where are you going?
• 16:33
  SPEAKER_05: Oh, Q Park.
• 16:33
  SPEAKER_07: Queensland love.
• 16:34
SPEAKER_07: And instead of listening to all the fucking sick cities in California, it's just like Rockhampton, you in the house?
• 16:39
  SPEAKER_05: It's Tupac's other brother.
• 16:40
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 16:41
  SPEAKER_05: Cupac.
• 16:42
  SPEAKER_05: Tupac and Q-Pac.
• 16:44
SPEAKER_07: Uh yeah, they're doing On the Banks here in Brizzy on March 6th.
• 16:47
SPEAKER_07: And then the Sydney Opera House Forecourt on March 7th, which is pretty, pretty solid.
• 16:51
SPEAKER_07: We'd love to see that.
• 16:52
SPEAKER_05: I'd love to see a show at the Sydney Opera House Forecourt.
• 16:54
SPEAKER_05: I think Fontaines did one there, and I was actually like Biguttered.
• 16:57
  SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
• 16:58
  SPEAKER_05: Imagine singing favourite there.
• 17:00
  SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
• 17:00
  SPEAKER_07: Oh, mate.
• 17:01
SPEAKER_07: Well, I mean, the the Avalanches uh like their live show is incredible.
• 17:05
SPEAKER_07: The way that they bring their like sample, like sample heavy music to life with like a kind of a half live band, half DJ set.
• 17:12
  SPEAKER_07: It's very cool.
• 17:13
SPEAKER_07: So um big recommends on that one.
• 17:16
SPEAKER_07: Big recommends big rec that's getting two big recommends from Max Higgins.
• 17:20
SPEAKER_07: Boom! Boom! Two big recommends.
• 17:23
  SPEAKER_05: Bosch.
• 17:25
SPEAKER_05: I've been saying that unironically, and fuck, it's the best thing in the world.
• 17:30
  SPEAKER_05: Saying Bosch.
• 17:34
SPEAKER_07: But what are you getting?
• 17:34
SPEAKER_07: What are you getting from your Chinese order, mate?
• 17:37
SPEAKER_07: You're gonna write the record for most items from a Chinese menu ordered them for 60 seconds.
• 17:40
  SPEAKER_07: I actually will.
• 17:42
  SPEAKER_07: Chicken chow main.
• 17:44
  SPEAKER_07: Sweeten sour pork.
• 17:46
  SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I'll have it.
• 17:47
SPEAKER_07: Sweet and sour pork, sweetened sour chicken, sweetened sour lamb.
• 17:50
  SPEAKER_05: We get it, brother.
• 17:50
  SPEAKER_05: Sweeten sour beef.
• 17:52
  SPEAKER_05: Corn crackers.
• 17:54
  SPEAKER_05: What a man.
• 17:55
SPEAKER_05: Uh let's talk Laneway Festival, Maxwell, because it dropped uh since last week, since we last spoke.
• 18:02
SPEAKER_07: Well, annoyingly, as with almost everything we do.
• 18:05
SPEAKER_07: It dropped on a Tuesday.
• 18:06
SPEAKER_07: Well, I think it dropped on a Wednesday, but like just after we released the episode.
• 18:10
  SPEAKER_07: Which is super annoying.
• 18:11
SPEAKER_07: But um, I'll tell you what, what a drop.
• 18:14
  SPEAKER_07: It dropped post-release.
• 18:16
SPEAKER_07: You know what they say?
• 18:17
SPEAKER_07: You can still get pregnant from post-release.
• 18:21
SPEAKER_07: I want to apologize to my family.
• 18:23
SPEAKER_07: Uh, I want to apologize to the nation.
• 18:25
SPEAKER_07: I want to apologize to the club.
• 18:27
SPEAKER_07: Um, it was it wasn't worth it.
• 18:29
  SPEAKER_07: Um sorry.
• 18:31
SPEAKER_05: For those that have missed it, Laneway Festival have announced their lineup.
• 18:36
SPEAKER_05: They're bringing Fontaines and Haley Williams as the two headliners with Slater, Adela, Kim Petris, Nina Girachi, Blue Bagata, Dive, Horse Girl, Jane Remover, and a shitload of others.
• 18:48
  SPEAKER_05: Um, it's a stacked lineup.
• 18:49
SPEAKER_07: This lineup just keeps on giving.
• 18:51
SPEAKER_07: Like down the bottom, you've got one tablespoon, you've got Bleach93, you've got Dane, you've got uh Echo Vandal, Eka Vandal, Florence Road, Guriers, Violent Girl, right down the bottom, trials.
• 19:01
SPEAKER_07: Like there's some absolute heaters in there, Sam.
• 19:05
  SPEAKER_04: Haters.
• 19:06
SPEAKER_07: Um I feel like this is a it's the it's the trend.
• 19:15
SPEAKER_07: We've we've had two years of of the pop girlies at Lameway, and I feel like we're transitioning from the pop girlies into the the pop girlies meets the like the three-quarter Jorts boys.
• 19:23
SPEAKER_07: You know what I mean?
• 19:24
SPEAKER_05: Actual Jort wearers, yeah, not the poser universal Jort wearers.
• 19:28
  SPEAKER_07: I font a Fontaine's DC crowd.
• 19:30
  SPEAKER_07: That's that's a Velcro wallet I've ever seen one.
• 19:32
SPEAKER_07: Yeah, Balu Brigada has elements of Velcro, if you will.
• 19:36
SPEAKER_07: Um, and yeah, Dive also in there as well.
• 19:38
SPEAKER_07: I think there's this is this is for me back to like don't get me wrong, I loved Laneway's last two years, but this is back to like perfect laneway, like a little bit for everyone, and a lot of bands where you're like, that's a fucking awesome gap.
• 19:51
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it feels like Laneway are bridging the gap between pop and alternative, and they're starting to build a bridge between the audiences, which I think is really important for the sustainability of festivals.
• 20:02
  SPEAKER_07: Yep.
• 20:03
SPEAKER_05: Um we can't have festivals without punters, and alternative fans love going to festivals.
• 20:10
SPEAKER_05: If you bring them in, like if you invite them, they will come.
• 20:13
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
• 20:14
SPEAKER_05: So I think this is the perfect festival for that.
• 20:17
SPEAKER_05: A lot of people were complaining about it.
• 20:19
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah, but I don't get it.
• 20:20
SPEAKER_07: I'd say the the reaction when I when I saw this lineup, I was like, this is an undeniably good laneway lineup.
• 20:27
  SPEAKER_07: Totally good.
• 20:28
SPEAKER_07: To jump onto Instagram and TikTok and see comments of people being like, this is the most mid lineup I've ever seen.
• 20:33
  SPEAKER_07: I was flawed.
• 20:35
  SPEAKER_05: Where are the headliners?
• 20:36
SPEAKER_05: I'm like, Fontaine's are the biggest band in the world right now.
• 20:39
  SPEAKER_05: Are you fucking kidding?
• 20:40
SPEAKER_05: And Haley Williams, like, she is aura.
• 20:43
  SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 20:44
  SPEAKER_05: I don't know if you've heard of a band called Paramour.
• 20:48
  SPEAKER_07: What about Paraless?
• 20:49
SPEAKER_05: We're not bringing it a famous segment we've learned that we've done from the archives.
• 20:54
SPEAKER_05: Two of the biggest artists in the world right now with that much momentum behind them.
• 20:59
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, Laneway has a habit of bringing artists just as they're peaking.
• 21:03
SPEAKER_05: Fontaines are just about to drop a new album.
• 21:05
SPEAKER_05: Like the momentum behind them is massive.
• 21:07
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 21:07
SPEAKER_05: Just because you don't know who they are, doesn't make them less of a headliner.
• 21:11
  SPEAKER_07: True.
• 21:11
SPEAKER_07: And also, I feel like for me, I think what a lot of people might be complaining about, or not necessarily complaining, but a lot of where a lot of people might be drawing that complaint from is that over if you have come to Landway in the last two years, where Charlie X and Chapel Roan have been at the peak of their powers, like as mainstream pop acts.
• 21:31
SPEAKER_07: Like the thing is that Lameway had pre-built kind of relationships with both those artists.
• 21:36
SPEAKER_07: Like Charlie had had headline before, so she already knew the festival and was happy to come back here.
• 21:40
SPEAKER_07: Chapel, I believe, had played at a previous Landway or had been in discussions of previous Laneways.
• 21:44
SPEAKER_07: So I think like they were kind of like two uh one off exceptions to the general rule, which is that Lameway book massive bands just before they blow up.
• 21:53
SPEAKER_07: You know, like they've had Billie Eilish, they've had the 1975, they've had Charlie XCX before.
• 21:58
SPEAKER_07: Joji, Joji, and like but they It was before the mainstream or even the like broader alternative community knew about these bands.
• 22:05
SPEAKER_07: Or like, you know, they knew about them, but they weren't, you know, 100% sure.
• 22:08
SPEAKER_07: It's when you Laneway is the head the lineups when you look back and you go, that was stacked.
• 22:12
SPEAKER_07: We just didn't know it at the time.
• 22:14
  SPEAKER_05: 100%.
• 22:15
SPEAKER_05: Even looking at Laneway Festival last year, you look at the depth, Chapel Roan, obviously the headliner, but then you've got apart from that, Pink Panther S and role model, maybe as you're two and three, Geese just before they blew up, Gigi Perez is massive, Young Lean.
• 22:32
SPEAKER_05: Apart from that, oh wet leg obviously big as well.
• 22:35
SPEAKER_05: But apart from that, they kind of just had these artists on the brink of blowing up.
• 22:41
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 22:41
SPEAKER_05: And this year's lineup, when you look at the depth of it, is stronger than last year's.
• 22:46
SPEAKER_07: I I think in terms of like a you know, it may not have that one spike artist where you're like, I'm going just for Chapel Roam.
• 22:52
SPEAKER_07: But I think the best part about a Lamo lineup is you don't go just for one artist.
• 22:56
SPEAKER_07: You go, I like five or six of these, and I know another two or three, and then there's probably five after that that I'll discover while I'm there and go, this was a six set that I didn't even know I was gonna see.
• 23:06
SPEAKER_05: Can you imagine camping out at the main stage and you'll see Nina Girachi probably into Slater, into Haley Williams, into Fontaines?
• 23:13
  SPEAKER_05: Like, that's massive.
• 23:14
SPEAKER_07: Even like, even I think if you just went for you know the pop girly side of it, you got Slater, you got Adela, Kim Petras, Nina Girachi, Horse Girl, like that's it, that's that in itself is a great lineup.
• 23:25
SPEAKER_07: Like Adela's album is so good.
• 23:27
SPEAKER_07: That uh the one that's just dropped.
• 23:29
SPEAKER_07: Um, and like the the Nicole Kidman song that is the the TikTok favorite, I'd say is like the most middle song on that record.
• 23:36
SPEAKER_07: Like it's a great song, and there's just others above that that just are pop hits.
• 23:40
SPEAKER_07: Yeah, Nina Girachi has obviously been on an absolute like generational run after uh I Love My Computer.
• 23:45
SPEAKER_07: Slater, worst girl in America, fucking incredible record.
• 23:48
SPEAKER_07: Like I think to pull these at this time in this audit, like that's this is a huge gap for Laneway.
• 23:54
  SPEAKER_05: 100%.
• 23:55
SPEAKER_05: Well, let's quickly talk about it then because I feel like you and I are going for different things, which is the beauty of this lineup.
• 24:02
SPEAKER_05: So Laneway 2027, what are you looking forward to?
• 24:06
SPEAKER_07: Um, okay, Slater, I'll be honest.
• 24:09
SPEAKER_07: I just I just want to see all of the worst Girl in America songs just in my face, just blasting into my eyes.
• 24:15
SPEAKER_07: The my biggest regret, musical regret this year, has been not catching the Slater show when it was here in Brisbane uh a couple of months ago.
• 24:22
SPEAKER_07: Um, just I everyone that I've talked to that weren't there was like that was the best show we've seen this year.
• 24:27
SPEAKER_07: And I'm not surprised that record's so good.
• 24:29
SPEAKER_07: Nina Girachi, we saw her earlier this year at Gribbin's The Moo.
• 24:32
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 24:33
  SPEAKER_07: Fuck me up again.
• 24:34
  SPEAKER_05: Insane.
• 24:35
  SPEAKER_07: Go back in.
• 24:36
SPEAKER_05: Like the frequencies is what I would say was the takeaway.
• 24:39
SPEAKER_05: Like, borderline hurts your ears at times, be like, this is fucking sick.
• 24:42
SPEAKER_07: But I'm just picturing that main stage.
• 24:44
SPEAKER_07: I actually think she might not be main stage.
• 24:45
SPEAKER_07: I think she might close out the uh the other stage.
• 24:49
SPEAKER_07: Yeah, and I just I'm imagining like that the that same set but bigger with more lights and everything going off like an insane thing.
• 24:58
SPEAKER_07: Uh, I really want to catch Dane.
• 24:59
SPEAKER_07: Um, obviously, since they like a version, I've just gathered more about them, love their their setup.
• 25:04
SPEAKER_07: I'm really keen to dive in.
• 25:05
SPEAKER_07: And then like you talk about how good Trials was when you saw him with Hilt Up Hoods.
• 25:10
SPEAKER_07: I'd love to see that set brought to life, especially off the back of it.
• 25:12
SPEAKER_07: The Hendel album as well.
• 25:14
  SPEAKER_07: 100%.
• 25:14
SPEAKER_07: So yeah, I'm keen to see those guys about you.
• 25:17
SPEAKER_05: Well, I think the beauty of it is you can go for the pop stuff and you can go for the alt stuff.
• 25:21
SPEAKER_05: So like Fontaine's DC and Haley, one two for me.
• 25:24
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah, have to be.
• 25:26
  SPEAKER_05: Blue Brigada, so fun.
• 25:28
SPEAKER_05: Gonna be one of the biggest bands in the world.
• 25:30
  SPEAKER_05: Dive, like underrated pull.
• 25:32
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 25:33
SPEAKER_05: Shoe gaze, like so good.
• 25:35
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 25:36
SPEAKER_05: Um also bleach nine three, again, underrated pull on there.
• 25:41
SPEAKER_05: Echo Vandal, obviously having a blow up at the moment.
• 25:43
SPEAKER_05: Guria's like a even more spoken word, Fontaines almost.
• 25:47
  SPEAKER_05: Yep.
• 25:48
  SPEAKER_05: And then Violet Grohl.
• 25:49
SPEAKER_05: We saw her at um at Ignite City event.
• 25:54
SPEAKER_05: Um, and she was really good.
• 25:55
SPEAKER_05: I'm keen to see less of a stripped back set and more of a full um like a full band performance.
• 26:01
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 26:02
SPEAKER_05: And then public figures from Big Sound.
• 26:05
SPEAKER_07: Yeah, one of the one of the most talked about bands of Big Sound.
• 26:07
  SPEAKER_05: 100%.
• 26:08
SPEAKER_05: So keen to see what they're like.
• 26:10
SPEAKER_05: They're no fucks given, just all out sort of punk energy.
• 26:13
SPEAKER_05: So I'm keen to see that.
• 26:15
SPEAKER_05: But fuck Nina Girachi as well, throw that in there.
• 26:18
SPEAKER_05: And then even someone like Adela heard all about it.
• 26:21
  SPEAKER_05: I don't know a thing, but why not?
• 26:23
SPEAKER_07: If you're if you're listening to this and you you are one of the people who thought this was actually quite a mid uh lineup, genuinely this I'm not talk talking shit.
• 26:29
SPEAKER_07: Genuinely, I'd love to know why.
• 26:31
SPEAKER_07: Because I'm like to me, this seems like an absolute no-brainer huge win.
• 26:36
SPEAKER_07: But if if if there is some consternation out there, drop drop us a DM because I'd I would honestly love to know.
• 26:41
SPEAKER_05: The other thing I want to quickly talk about before we let it go, laneway ticket prices, people are complaining that they're$239 for first release and then go up to$275 for fourth release.
• 26:54
SPEAKER_05: Festivals are really expensive to put on.
• 26:57
  SPEAKER_05: Yes.
• 26:58
SPEAKER_05: We're talking millions of dollars.
• 27:00
SPEAKER_05: I mean, I'm pretty sure police and security alone is between half a mil and a million dollars.
• 27:06
SPEAKER_07: Well, depends on the market.
• 27:07
SPEAKER_07: Yeah, in in New South Wales, there were reports they were charging millions of dollars.
• 27:10
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
• 27:11
SPEAKER_05: Like to put on a festival is millions of dollars of investment.
• 27:15
SPEAKER_05: The performance fees of these artists are eye-watering.
• 27:20
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 27:21
SPEAKER_05: I understand that the cost of living is hard.
• 27:24
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 27:25
SPEAKER_05: But to complain that a festival is too expensive is kind of like, oh, my lobster's too buttery.
• 27:34
SPEAKER_05: Like, I understand times are tough, pockets are not as deep as they used to be.
• 27:40
SPEAKER_05: But to go to a Fontaine's Haley Williams show, Slater, and Adela show separately, you're looking at minimum$600.
• 27:48
  SPEAKER_07: That's the thing.
• 27:48
SPEAKER_07: I think you gotta if if you are interested in going to this this festival, and like, you know, fair enough, if this doesn't tickle your boat, whatever, tickle your boat.
• 27:54
  SPEAKER_07: Tickle your boat.
• 27:55
  SPEAKER_07: Yeah, what I said.
• 27:56
SPEAKER_07: But if you if you are interested in at least probably three or four of these artists, it is gonna be more economical to just get the the the lame way ticket.
• 28:02
  SPEAKER_05: 100%.
• 28:03
SPEAKER_05: And I understand that if you don't you're not sold on the lineup in like one or two, yeah, it's expensive.
• 28:09
SPEAKER_05: But like you have to to sell tickets to a festival, you have to sell exclusivity.
• 28:14
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 28:14
SPEAKER_05: You have to understand where the festival's coming to, yeah.
• 28:17
  SPEAKER_05: Or coming from, sorry.
• 28:19
SPEAKER_05: And kind of meet them halfway.
• 28:21
SPEAKER_05: Like if you want to go to Laneway next year, if you want there to be a lane way next year or a good things or a spilt milk, yeah, you have to be willing to pour into them as well.
• 28:33
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 28:33
SPEAKER_05: I think it's it's a supply and demand thing, but it definitely is.
• 28:38
SPEAKER_05: Like you've got to they scratch your back, you scratch theirs.
• 28:40
SPEAKER_07: And look, I can understand why like Perth and Adelaide, it still sucks that you guys got dropped off of the uh off the lineup, but at the same time, like it is not cheap to drive 15 trucks worth of gear across the Nullabore.
• 28:56
SPEAKER_07: Like it's it is shithouse.
• 28:58
  SPEAKER_07: Sorry.
• 28:59
SPEAKER_07: Like that that doesn't mean we shouldn't be trying hard to get these things to to come to Perth to go to Adelaide, but I still think in in terms of like if, as you said, if we want Laneway to survive and then hopefully get back to a place where we can do these kind of things, yeah, like the the the choice made in the short term of like, hey, very sorry, might mean a long-term survival of the festival and back coming back versus well, we just can't do it.
• 29:20
SPEAKER_05: I would also argue that Laneway had a huge hand to playing Fontaines, playing uh Perth and Adwart.
• 29:26
  SPEAKER_07: Yeah, oh definitely.
• 29:27
SPEAKER_07: There's definitely like a uh, you know, like they they probably wouldn't be coming out here to do the solo shows if they weren't already over here with that the large majority of that being covered by Laneway.
• 29:37
  SPEAKER_05: 100%.
• 29:37
SPEAKER_05: So I understand it's tough and cost of living and all that jazz, but like it's the world we're in.
• 29:48
  SPEAKER_07: Yes, very much so.
• 29:49
SPEAKER_07: Sambo, a quick a quick little talk piece because I I saw this uh tweet going absolutely bananas on social media this week, and it's un unreasonably pissed me off.
• 30:01
  SPEAKER_05: Okay.
• 30:01
SPEAKER_07: So I want to uh give you a bit of backstory for for what this is.
• 30:04
SPEAKER_07: So Nick Sarayev, apologies if I didn't pronounce your name correctly.
• 30:08
  SPEAKER_07: Sarayev?
• 30:09
SPEAKER_07: Possibly, uh, is a Canadian uh AI educator, consultant, content creator, talks about AI.
• 30:16
SPEAKER_07: Nick tweeted uh Nick tweeted earlier uh this month, well, actually not really this month, because it was last month, but Nick tweeted earlier that uh about AI and music creation.
• 30:28
SPEAKER_07: And to quote him directly, quote, I'm not joking when I say this, Spotify, Apple Music, and streaming in general is over.
• 30:34
SPEAKER_07: AI is now very, very good.
• 30:36
SPEAKER_07: Sorry, AI music is now very, very good.
• 30:38
SPEAKER_07: You don't know yet because all AI music today is circ all AI music circulating today is from two to three generations ago.
• 30:44
  SPEAKER_07: End quote.
• 30:46
SPEAKER_07: He goes on to then talk about how there is now essentially infinite personalizing personalized playlists that people can create through AI music generation agents, and essentially goes on to argue that music, human-made music, is essentially redundant because we can create the exact kind of music we want to hear at any point at Infinatum, uh through thank you, through uh AI.
• 31:09
  SPEAKER_07: So I don't know.
• 31:10
SPEAKER_07: I'm just like shut up, Nick.
• 31:12
SPEAKER_07: There's so many things about this that piss me off.
• 31:14
SPEAKER_07: Um, what a shit take.
• 31:16
  SPEAKER_07: It's it's a it is, I would say, a pretty dog shit take.
• 31:19
SPEAKER_07: What one of the things that pisses me off, well, one of the things I need to catch this with is though, as I said before, he's he works in the AI industry.
• 31:25
SPEAKER_07: Like, yeah, there is a fair chance that whether or not he fully believes this, he has said it in a way to piss people off purely to gain traction as someone who becomes a voice, you know, a leading voice in the conversation about AI.
• 31:36
SPEAKER_07: So, like, by shining light on this, even if this guy doesn't necessarily fully believe this, we are, you know, feeding into that.
• 31:41
SPEAKER_07: Having said that, I just think catch these hands.
• 31:46
  SPEAKER_07: Sorry, continue.
• 31:47
SPEAKER_07: I just I just think like this is uh, you know, a microcosm of the bigger problem of AI, which is that it's solving these problems that people don't want them to solve, you know, like no one's been like, oh, there's just not enough personalized playlisting.
• 32:01
SPEAKER_07: I wish I could have infinite music.
• 32:02
SPEAKER_07: There they kind of essentially already is infinite music.
• 32:05
SPEAKER_07: You couldn't listen to all creative music physically in your lifetime.
• 32:08
SPEAKER_05: You know what I love about my favorite artist?
• 32:11
SPEAKER_05: The fact that I don't have to relate to the person.
• 32:14
SPEAKER_05: I can just listen to the music and have no depth of character beyond that.
• 32:20
SPEAKER_05: I think the beauty of music is the songwriting and the story behind it and the fucking like you fall in love with bands because you like their character, you like their traits, you like their personality.
• 32:31
SPEAKER_05: Like you think of Joey Valence and Bray, they're funny as fuck because of their live shows.
• 32:37
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 32:38
SPEAKER_05: Every kid growing up in the emo alternative world fell in love with Paramour because they well, everyone had a crush on Haley, but like um because they were funny, they put out behind the scenes stuff, they did docos, like there's lore and there's character building, and it is like a mini world building within these bands and artists.
• 32:58
SPEAKER_05: And like look at someone like Limp Biscuit.
• 33:01
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 33:01
SPEAKER_05: Are you telling me you listen to Limp Biscuit if they're AI?
• 33:04
  SPEAKER_07: No, definitely not.
• 33:05
  SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
• 33:06
SPEAKER_07: But I also think part of it that beyond the AI part of it, I think something that kind of shit me off about this the more I thought about it was the concept of like your playlist being exactly what you want.
• 33:17
SPEAKER_07: You know what I mean?
• 33:18
SPEAKER_07: Like, there's a that feels like dystopian, but B, I think it's also to some degree like there's times when I'm like, I want to listen to music that I know I don't like, just to see.
• 33:27
SPEAKER_07: Like, just to see what's out there.
• 33:29
SPEAKER_07: Like, I'll I'll be like, I have never historically liked this band, but I'll listen to the new music because what if this is my favorite song that I've ever they've ever that's ever been created and it just happens to be from a band I didn't previously like.
• 33:38
  SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
• 33:39
SPEAKER_05: Like even you think about the smart shuffle feature on Spotify.
• 33:43
SPEAKER_05: I don't know if Apple Music has it, but like it plays you music that is sort of related, but you don't know.
• 33:49
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 33:50
SPEAKER_05: Like the art of music discovery is so important.
• 33:53
SPEAKER_07: Yeah, the the dopamine hit you get from I've never heard this song before, I probably wouldn't have liked it previously.
• 33:59
SPEAKER_07: Or like, you know, there's there's something about it that I would never have searched for, and suddenly I'm like, this slaps.
• 34:04
SPEAKER_07: Like that it opens up this whole new world, you know.
• 34:08
SPEAKER_07: How often do we talk about will you or I will bring something to the show, and suddenly we we get back here in the studio the next week and we're like, I have been nonstop listening to this artist be since you bought it last week that I've never that I'd never have heard of and have gone down that rabbit hole.
• 34:21
SPEAKER_05: It's genuinely one of the best feelings in the world when you discover new music for the first time.
• 34:27
SPEAKER_05: Like, you're right, the dopamine hit, it's unbelievable.
• 34:30
SPEAKER_05: And it like when you're preempting a breakdown or you're pre-empting a chorus or a hook, and you're like, oh fuck, please hit, please hit, and then it hits better than sex.
• 34:42
SPEAKER_05: I just yeah, I think like I wouldn't know, but yeah, neither.
• 34:45
SPEAKER_07: I assume I have to make assumptions here.
• 34:47
  SPEAKER_07: Palmela.
• 34:48
SPEAKER_07: They both last for about three and a half minutes on average.
• 34:50
  SPEAKER_07: Hey, baby.
• 34:51
SPEAKER_07: But I think, yeah, I I just I know we've had many discussions about AI in music before, and I know we're gonna have many more discussions about it because it's just not gonna go away.
• 35:01
SPEAKER_05: It's the biggest one wank.
• 35:02
  SPEAKER_07: I fucking hate AI.
• 35:04
SPEAKER_07: I just think it's it's one of those things that there that we're there's not a problem that needs to be solved here.
• 35:08
SPEAKER_07: Like these people could could be dedicating their insane intelligence to like I don't know, solving cancer or like you know, fixing the world's problems, and they're like, no, let's make infinite AI jet.
• 35:20
SPEAKER_07: Like no one needs this.
• 35:21
  SPEAKER_07: No, there is nothing.
• 35:22
SPEAKER_05: No one's asking for AI, let alone like the environmental impact it has with all these fucking data centers and the water consumption.
• 35:29
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, what the fuck's that about?
• 35:31
  SPEAKER_05: I don't understand.
• 35:32
SPEAKER_05: I thought it was tech like tech based.
• 35:34
SPEAKER_07: Yeah, so do you want to quick explain that?
• 35:36
SPEAKER_05: Hit me with it because I'm like, why the fuck are they using so much water?
• 35:39
SPEAKER_07: It's coolant, they use it as coolant to keep the data centers cool.
• 35:42
SPEAKER_07: And the thing is, they don't actually need the water, it's just that uh at the moment, water is the cheaper option than literally anything else, and so that is using the water.
• 35:49
SPEAKER_07: If we started making them pay for the water, they'd be like, Oh, we can use other things that aren't water.
• 35:53
SPEAKER_07: So, like maybe I don't know, I don't want to make it political, but like governments and shit make them pay lots of money for the water and the power, and then they solve their own problems.
• 36:01
  SPEAKER_07: Yeah, just a thought.
• 36:03
SPEAKER_05: Who knew like common sense?
• 36:05
SPEAKER_07: So yeah, what's that about?
• 36:06
SPEAKER_07: No one else needs water.
• 36:07
SPEAKER_05: No, who needs a housing crisis when we've got data centers?
• 36:11
  SPEAKER_07: Yeah, exactly.
• 36:11
SPEAKER_07: We can all live in the fucking data centers.
• 36:13
  SPEAKER_07: Exactly.
• 36:14
SPEAKER_07: Like it'd be nice and warm.
• 36:15
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 36:15
SPEAKER_05: Ever thought of a shoebox apartment?
• 36:18
  SPEAKER_05: Owning your own house?
• 36:20
  SPEAKER_05: Stupid man.
• 36:21
  SPEAKER_05: Dickheads.
• 36:22
SPEAKER_05: Anyway, don't get me started.
• 36:24
  SPEAKER_05: Fuck.
• 36:25
SPEAKER_05: Let's get to the suitcase, shall we?
• 36:27
  SPEAKER_07: Zip, zip, Sam.
• 36:28
SPEAKER_05: Do you want to start or me?
• 36:29
SPEAKER_07: Uh, why don't you kick us off?
• 36:30
  SPEAKER_07: All right, let's see.
• 36:31
SPEAKER_07: You've got a pressing uh concern from a you know a worried listener.
• 36:36
  SPEAKER_05: Oh, I have.
• 36:38
SPEAKER_05: The people want a running playlist, Maxwell.
• 36:40
SPEAKER_07: Oh, I like a playlist that just keeps going.
• 36:42
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, just that um replay with the the dot in the middle of it.
• 36:46
  SPEAKER_05: Yep, yep, yep.
• 36:47
  SPEAKER_05: I like it.
• 36:48
SPEAKER_05: We were sent a message by a lovely listener by the name of May, how good's sentence structure, um, who requested that as well as our new music, we provide her with some music that she can run to.
• 37:02
SPEAKER_05: Okay, get out of here.
• 37:04
  SPEAKER_05: Pound in the pavement.
• 37:05
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah, exactly.
• 37:05
SPEAKER_05: It's all about that BPM.
• 37:06
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yep, yeah.
• 37:07
SPEAKER_05: So I've compiled a list of five songs heavy to a bit of EDM to a bit of like rap stuff that I think is perfect for a bit of zone two or um what's it fucking called?
• 37:22
SPEAKER_05: Where you go slow and then you go fast and then you go slow and then intervals.
• 37:26
  SPEAKER_07: Intervals.
• 37:26
  SPEAKER_07: Interval training, Sam.
• 37:27
SPEAKER_05: It's good for intervals, it's good for zone two, it's just good for your everyday run.
• 37:32
SPEAKER_05: It's good for the cardiovascular activity sound.
• 37:34
  SPEAKER_05: That's it.
• 37:35
SPEAKER_05: It's all about the BPM, baby.
• 37:36
SPEAKER_05: So I'm gonna start with.
• 37:37
SPEAKER_05: I should probably have pulled up the music before that.
• 37:40
SPEAKER_05: I'm gonna start with 156 silence and their song, No Arms.
• 37:46
SPEAKER_05: We've probably makes it harder to run, I'll tell you that much.
• 37:48
SPEAKER_05: It does, you don't get the momentum.
• 37:50
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
• 37:50
SPEAKER_05: But uh, when this song kicks in, that interval gets running.
• 37:56
  SPEAKER_05: So let's hit it.
• 37:59
  SPEAKER_04: Let's get it.
• 38:00
SPEAKER_04: What about the 16 buzzer do it?
• 38:26
  SPEAKER_07: I'd give that a trot, Sam.
• 38:27
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah, it's good.
• 38:28
  SPEAKER_05: I spit a lot when I run up.
• 38:29
  SPEAKER_05: Do you?
• 38:30
  SPEAKER_07: No.
• 38:30
  SPEAKER_05: Just like moisture buildup.
• 38:32
SPEAKER_05: Just have control of my bodily functions.
• 38:34
  SPEAKER_05: I don't know what it is.
• 38:35
  SPEAKER_07: Yeah, weird.
• 38:36
SPEAKER_05: I sweat through my mouth.
• 38:37
  SPEAKER_07: Interesting.
• 38:38
SPEAKER_05: That sounded that sounded less weird in my head.
• 38:42
SPEAKER_05: Uh the next song, Maxwell, is a song I've actually used to run before.
• 38:46
  SPEAKER_05: Oh, yeah.
• 38:47
SPEAKER_05: Um, friends of the show, slowly, slowly.
• 38:49
SPEAKER_05: Oh, I heard of them.
• 38:50
  SPEAKER_05: Um, Blueprint.
• 38:52
  SPEAKER_05: Oh, okay.
• 38:53
SPEAKER_05: The BPM of this, perfect for running.
• 38:56
SPEAKER_05: Um if you're fucked, don't listen to it because I've made that mistake.
• 39:01
  SPEAKER_05: This song is quick.
• 39:30
  SPEAKER_05: Such a banger.
• 39:31
  SPEAKER_07: That's quite a canter there.
• 39:32
SPEAKER_05: That's the magnum opus slowly, slowly.
• 39:35
SPEAKER_05: I live and die by that statement.
• 39:37
  SPEAKER_05: I'm sorry if they're listening.
• 39:39
  SPEAKER_05: Um, shout out Gloria.
• 39:44
SPEAKER_07: I don't think she does, but shout-out, Gloria, if you are thinking.
• 39:46
SPEAKER_05: Anyway, next one Maxwell needs no introduction.
• 39:49
SPEAKER_05: You can add it to the playlist after.
• 39:51
  SPEAKER_05: You'll know straight away.
• 39:52
  SPEAKER_05: Oh god.
• 40:08
SPEAKER_05: Could have been, could have been, could have been, could have been certain, could have been a G.
• 40:11
SPEAKER_05: Should have never stitched weights.
• 40:13
SPEAKER_05: That was of course Victory Lap by Fred again.
• 40:16
SPEAKER_07: I was gonna say, not certainly not uh as fast of a run.
• 40:19
  SPEAKER_07: More zone two.
• 40:20
  SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 40:21
SPEAKER_07: And ironic, you know, isn't it?
• 40:22
SPEAKER_07: Victory Lap for a run.
• 40:24
SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I mean, if it you know, floats your boat.
• 40:28
SPEAKER_07: Well, I mean, oh next up better be running by Evermore.
• 40:31
SPEAKER_07: Or born to run by Brian Adams.
• 40:34
SPEAKER_07: No, just the one of them.
• 40:35
  SPEAKER_04: Just one Brian.
• 40:36
  SPEAKER_07: Just one Brian Adam.
• 40:37
  SPEAKER_07: It's Brian Adams.
• 40:39
SPEAKER_07: There's the two of them.
• 40:40
SPEAKER_07: They're brothers, they both know Brian and Adams.
• 40:43
  SPEAKER_05: Fuck.
• 40:44
SPEAKER_05: Uh next one, Maxwell, is like a Freight train to the running shoes.
• 40:49
SPEAKER_05: We've got uh Block of Flats by Lothe and Static Dress.
• 40:56
  SPEAKER_05: It's like lightsabers dueling.
• 41:02
SPEAKER_05: Pretty much, and just when Anakin and Obi-Wan are doing their picture that.
• 41:47
  SPEAKER_05: Yeah, you did.
• 41:48
SPEAKER_05: And the last one, uh, I mentioned Joey Valence and Brave before.
• 41:52
  SPEAKER_05: High energy, high impact.
• 41:54
  SPEAKER_05: This is friends.
• 41:56
SPEAKER_04: Do do do do do.
• 42:18
SPEAKER_07: Uh if you want to see Sam doing the running man in the mosh pit, uh why am I doing my runs in the mosh pit?
• 42:25
  SPEAKER_07: Circle pit.
• 42:26
  SPEAKER_05: Oh yeah.
• 42:26
  SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
• 42:27
SPEAKER_07: You've got some stuff for me, Daddy.
• 42:30
  SPEAKER_07: I certainly duff.
• 42:31
SPEAKER_07: We talked about it earlier.
• 42:32
SPEAKER_07: Avalanches are coming too on the banks, Sam, and I think I know that you are a little under-educated when it comes to the avalanches.
• 42:38
SPEAKER_07: No uh, no, no shade.
• 42:40
SPEAKER_07: So I think I'll I think I might do a quick crash course education on the avalanches for you.
• 42:46
  SPEAKER_07: I think let's let's go.
• 42:47
SPEAKER_07: I've done this in chronological order because I think you need to sort of see the development of the uh of uh the avalanches as they go, you know what I mean?
• 42:52
SPEAKER_07: Like you see how they've gone as artists throughout their career.
• 42:55
SPEAKER_07: So let's start way back at the beginning.
• 42:57
SPEAKER_07: It's the uh the title track from their debut record, Since I Left You.
• 43:02
SPEAKER_07: I was writing if you say the classic stupid joke.
• 43:05
SPEAKER_07: Um what do you mean?
• 43:07
  SPEAKER_07: Never mind.
• 43:08
  SPEAKER_07: Since I left you.
• 43:09
SPEAKER_07: It's a title track, you know, as you can.
• 43:11
SPEAKER_07: Oh, what's the name of it?
• 43:12
  SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah, it's classic.
• 43:12
  SPEAKER_07: Yeah, sorry, that's good.
• 43:15
SPEAKER_07: This song came out in 2000, and the thing to know about the Avalanches is that they assembled all of the tracks on their debut records from like 3,500 different little samples and bits that they pulled from all sorts of places.
• 43:28
SPEAKER_07: There's music samples, there's just vocal samples, there's little like real life samples and stuff like that.
• 43:34
SPEAKER_07: And they they built them all into these songs, not on the grid, they don't have pro tools, it was just using like samplers and like analog tools, which is crazy to do.
• 43:42
  SPEAKER_05: Friggin' quasi.
• 43:44
  SPEAKER_07: Friggin' crazy.
• 43:45
SPEAKER_07: So they sound this song feels quite like funky, a little hip hop y, and there's kind of this vintage kind of gloss over it that sounds like because they've sampled all this stuff, it sounds like the samples.
• 43:56
SPEAKER_07: So, yeah, this is since I left you, uh, the the first song on their first.
• 44:00
  SPEAKER_07: First record.
• 44:23
  SPEAKER_07: Very shimmery, isn't it?
• 44:25
  SPEAKER_07: Very shimmery.
• 44:26
SPEAKER_07: Each of those different sounds is probably from a different thing.
• 44:28
SPEAKER_07: That's not they're all like layered and built in together to create that sound.
• 44:33
  SPEAKER_07: That's cool.
• 44:34
SPEAKER_07: So that gives you a kind of a basis to start from when the uh when you're talking about the Avalanches.
• 44:40
SPEAKER_07: If you've heard any song of theirs, though, it's probably Frontier Psychiatrist.
• 44:44
SPEAKER_07: It's the one that was kind of, I suppose, the biggest.
• 44:46
SPEAKER_07: Uh it it got the highest and the hottest 100 uh the year that it came out.
• 44:49
SPEAKER_07: It can't it's come up a couple of times in the you know the all-time lists.
• 44:53
SPEAKER_07: Um the it is weird.
• 44:56
  SPEAKER_07: I won't lie.
• 44:57
  SPEAKER_07: This is weird.
• 44:57
SPEAKER_07: This song is weird, it's off kilter.
• 44:59
SPEAKER_07: Uh it's very it's part orchestral, it's part western, it's part hip hop.
• 45:04
SPEAKER_07: It's kind of like the vocal sample comes from this like comedy routine, and then there's like horse neighing and like gunshots, and all of this they kind of pack into one song, and it is weird, but it does work, and it's it's kind of funky.
• 45:16
SPEAKER_05: So it's a real journey, but stick to it because it's just it just kind of all pan about So yeah.
• 45:25
SPEAKER_07: This is a frontier psychiatrist.
• 45:33
  SPEAKER_01: That boy needs therapy.
• 45:34
SPEAKER_01: Psycho somatic, that boy needs therapy.
• 45:37
SPEAKER_01: Psycho-somatic, that boy needs therapy.
• 45:54
SPEAKER_01: That boy boy needs therapy.
• 45:56
SPEAKER_07: It's it keeps you guessing the whole way through.
• 45:59
SPEAKER_05: It feels like a bit of a movie score almost, like at the end of the credits.
• 46:02
  SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
• 46:03
SPEAKER_07: And I think the thing is a lot of that came out, a lot of the the the samples come out of movies and stuff like that.
• 46:08
SPEAKER_07: So it feels cinematic at times.
• 46:10
SPEAKER_07: And the way they stitch together to feel like that kind of hip-hop, like the the beat that drives it through.
• 46:15
  SPEAKER_07: Very cool.
• 46:17
SPEAKER_07: Sam, that that was their they were both of their debut records.
• 46:20
  SPEAKER_05: Okay.
• 46:21
SPEAKER_07: Uh, and then 16 years later, they came back on the scene with their follow-up, the uh Warflower, and it is still very much based in like samples and the same kind of vibe, but they'd built the cred, so they had some insane collaborators on the second record.
• 46:35
SPEAKER_07: They had Kevin Parker, they had Father John Misty, they had Torah Moi, they had Danny Brown, they had MF Doom.
• 46:41
SPEAKER_07: A little bit more disco, a little bit more dance, this record, but still pretty much like kind of like hip-hop-y psych sound at the core of it.
• 46:48
SPEAKER_07: Um, this track is called Frankie Sinatra.
• 46:50
SPEAKER_07: It features Danny Brown and MF Doom, and it kind of feels like gorillas in the way that like the production and the vocal line don't necessarily match, but they do the way that they've produced it.
• 47:00
SPEAKER_07: If you listen to both individually, you'd be like, there's no way they're putting these together, but it kind of works when they've matched it up.
• 47:07
  SPEAKER_05: Okay.
• 47:31
  SPEAKER_00: That's the puppy cup I read.
• 47:35
  SPEAKER_05: It's like a Scooby-Dooby-doo.
• 47:38
SPEAKER_05: It gave me Scooby-Doo vibes.
• 47:40
  SPEAKER_00: Rut roll.
• 47:41
  SPEAKER_07: Rut roll.
• 47:42
  SPEAKER_05: I can't do a Scooby-Doo voice.
• 47:44
SPEAKER_07: We that kind of my my voice is too far for that one.
• 47:49
  SPEAKER_05: It was cool though.
• 47:50
SPEAKER_05: It was very like um spooky island.
• 47:52
SPEAKER_07: A bit spooky island, a bit like uh, I think if you listen to some of those like the the songs of like uh um plastic beach by uh gorillas, like that kind of same, same general energy.
• 48:04
SPEAKER_05: Um I just before, can I just rudely interrupt?
• 48:07
  SPEAKER_07: You absolutely can.
• 48:08
SPEAKER_05: Land of a million drums by Outcast on the Scooby-Doo soundtrack.
• 48:12
SPEAKER_07: Oh, in the land of no right to go that hard.
• 48:16
SPEAKER_07: I think the Scooby-Doo soundtrack in general kind of slapped hard.
• 48:19
SPEAKER_05: Bring back 2000 soundtracks like Scooby-Doo soundtrack, fuck me, uh, Digimon soundtrack, Tarzan soundtrack.
• 48:28
SPEAKER_07: Not as good as the Lion King soundtrack.
• 48:29
SPEAKER_05: Okay, we're gonna have shut the camera up.
• 48:31
  SPEAKER_05: We're about to fight.
• 48:32
  SPEAKER_05: Set up the octagon.
• 48:35
SPEAKER_05: I thought the debate, the debate table, mass debate.
• 48:40
SPEAKER_07: Uh Sam, their fourth album uh dropped in 2020.
• 48:43
SPEAKER_07: And I won't lie, it was the middle of COVID, it kind of slipped under my radar.
• 48:46
SPEAKER_07: But uh this album, there was a lot less kind of like sampling, like mass sampling.
• 48:50
SPEAKER_07: What they kind of did was they they wrote a heap of music and then chopped up their own music a lot of the time, and then used some other samples, like external samples within that, but then sort of like had more control over exactly how the samples played because they played a fair a fair chunk of it.
• 49:04
SPEAKER_07: They had again some ass, some massive uh collaborators.
• 49:07
SPEAKER_07: They had Blood Orange, MGMT, Leon Bridges, Johnny Ma from the Smiths, Denzel Carey, Rivers Cuomo from Weezer.
• 49:13
  SPEAKER_05: Yep.
• 49:13
  SPEAKER_07: A lot of people.
• 49:14
SPEAKER_07: Uh, and it was a bit more big, ambient, like thematically big, if you know what I mean.
• 49:21
  SPEAKER_05: Yep.
• 49:21
SPEAKER_07: So this song is called The Divine Chord.
• 49:23
SPEAKER_07: It features uh MGMT and Johnny Ma.
• 49:25
  SPEAKER_05: Management.
• 49:26
SPEAKER_07: Yes, yes, the management indeed.
• 49:28
SPEAKER_07: Uh it's kind of there is a uh like one main sample, which is from the 60s, a girl group called the Sherelles and the track Love That Really Counts.
• 49:35
SPEAKER_07: Um, but then the you can kind of really tell how they've evolved that sampling approach to like sound more holistic instead of like choppy.
• 49:42
  SPEAKER_07: Hit me with it.
• 50:14
  unknown: Dreamy.
• 50:15
  SPEAKER_07: Dreamy, ambient.
• 50:17
  SPEAKER_07: I liked it.
• 50:18
  SPEAKER_07: Vibey.
• 50:19
SPEAKER_07: Finally, Sam, the last one off their upcoming record, uh, which is gonna drop soon, no bad memories.
• 50:26
SPEAKER_07: I think it drops like in a week or two.
• 50:27
SPEAKER_07: Uh, I've brought a couple of these to the show before.
• 50:29
SPEAKER_07: I think I might have even brought this song to the show before.
• 50:32
SPEAKER_07: Um, but they've they've got already they've got some pretty big names on the uh the collaborator list.
• 50:36
SPEAKER_07: So uh I brought Blue Shadow uh from the record for with Karen O from the Yeah Yeahs.
• 50:42
SPEAKER_07: Yep uh every single weekend with Jamie XEX feels like it could have been on Jamie X's Jamie XX's, not XEX, Jamie XX's in colour solo record.
• 50:50
SPEAKER_07: But this one uh is called Together and it kind of it's a full circle moment, I think, because it's a it's a hyper pop song, and hyper pop, you know, it has that real choppy every genre all in one kind of sound because it's meant to be like the internet, it's meant to be that you have access to everything all at once.
• 51:05
SPEAKER_07: And I think they've brought in some some collaborators here that do hyper pop production, and they've played it with the avalanches already doing that same kind of style.
• 51:15
SPEAKER_07: So this is called Together.
• 51:17
SPEAKER_07: It's um I'll just you know what?
• 51:20
SPEAKER_07: I'm just gonna let it do the talking.
• 51:22
SPEAKER_07: I think you actually might get around this.
• 51:24
  SPEAKER_04: ADHD.
• 51:54
SPEAKER_02: And I can have some red I'm so confused.
• 52:01
SPEAKER_05: I was like hard drop.
• 52:03
  SPEAKER_05: No.
• 52:03
  SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
• 52:04
  SPEAKER_07: Torshuba.
• 52:06
SPEAKER_07: We love a brand placement.
• 52:07
SPEAKER_07: So yeah, Avalanches are playing it on the banks in well, March next year.
• 52:11
SPEAKER_07: And I think we gotta get down there because the way that they bring these songs to life with the samples, with the live stuff, the live band, incredible.
• 52:17
SPEAKER_07: So tickets are on sale now, Sam.
• 52:18
SPEAKER_07: Um get in and get get clicking.
• 52:20
  SPEAKER_05: Don't make me dance.
• 52:21
  SPEAKER_07: Oh, you'll be dancing.
• 52:22
SPEAKER_05: Don't tell me what to do.
• 52:24
SPEAKER_05: I refuse to dance at shows.
• 52:27
SPEAKER_05: It's just not my thing.
• 52:28
SPEAKER_05: But I appreciate the education, Maxwell.
• 52:30
  SPEAKER_05: Thanks.
• 52:31
SPEAKER_07: Uh class is over, by the way, Sam.
• 52:33
  SPEAKER_05: Thank you.
• 52:33
SPEAKER_05: And thank you, students, for being patient with us.
• 52:37
SPEAKER_05: Uh, what about more autistic episodes this week?
• 52:39
SPEAKER_07: A bit everywhere, a bit all over the shop.
• 52:41
  SPEAKER_05: A bit ADHD.
• 52:42
SPEAKER_05: Any final thoughts for the people?
• 52:45
  SPEAKER_07: Get amongst it.
