- 0:02Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe in, breathe in a
- 0:11feeling of freshness, of energy, of resourcefulness.
- 0:17And as you exhale, give permission to release.
- 0:26As you slow down that outward breath, give permission to let
- 0:32go of any feelings of frustration, anger, or
- 0:41uncertainty. Just allow it to melt away and
- 0:46leave your body as tiny crystals of ice melting into the
- 0:54atmosphere, breathing in relaxation and exhaling tension.
- 1:05Each breath takes you to the next level of depth, deeper down
- 1:14to a place where change can take place in wonderful and positive
- 1:21ways. When you breathe in, breathe in
- 1:28for deeper. And as you breathe out, allow
- 1:35the body to settle. Not by forcing relaxation, just
- 1:43by allowing that whatever tension is there, you can let go
- 1:49of that tension. And each outward breath allows a
- 1:55little more to let go with each breath.
- 2:05And sometimes the mind becomes busy, especially when life is in
- 2:11transition. Loose ends, unfinished
- 2:17conversations, perhaps potential or unresolved conflicts.
- 2:26And every now and then there are situations that feel unfair,
- 2:34times when someone else's behaviour reveals something
- 2:41about them. But perhaps you would never
- 2:46choose to become yourself. There are Silver Linings because
- 2:56moments like these are also thresholds.
- 3:02And there are points in life where a person moves from 1
- 3:07chapter into another. And sometimes that's at a key
- 3:13milestone, like a certain birthday or a new year, or
- 3:20moving from one place to live to another.
- 3:26And with your eyes closed, just feel the heaviness of your
- 3:30eyelids getting heavier and more relaxed.
- 3:35And I wonder if you can imagine something familiar to you.
- 3:42Not a house, not an apartment. I want you to imagine about
- 3:51something familiar from a dream or a thought or an idea.
- 3:57I want you to imagine wearing clothing that is warm and
- 4:02finding yourself high up in the mountains of the Pyrenees.
- 4:12Imagine walking on the border between France and Spain.
- 4:21Perhaps you could imagine rocky paths, peaks, valleys, snow and
- 4:33ice, and sometimes high up lakes.
- 4:44This is the kind of place where people walk for days at a time.
- 4:47But I want you to imagine you have the stability of a mountain
- 4:53goat as you walk there high up in the mountains.
- 5:01I want you to connect without feeling of stability and yet
- 5:06feel that you are moving forward to a clear destination.
- 5:12And every now and then, just allow yourself to follow a
- 5:15trail. Explore what you explore and
- 5:20then return to your route that moves you forward.
- 5:24And I want you to imagine sensations there in the
- 5:31mountains. Imagine feeling the wind, the
- 5:36quiet, the vastness of it all. And perhaps you can imagine
- 5:44walking alongside one of those mountain paths and notice any
- 5:52insights, thoughts or feelings that arise because some sections
- 5:58of a mountain are wide and easy and other sections narrow.
- 6:08Almost like walking along a Ridge, a thin path between two
- 6:15slopes. But feel the stability of that
- 6:20mountain goat. Connect with feeling balanced,
- 6:24focused, present. That's it.
- 6:30Connect with a feeling of absolute stability, even though
- 6:40you are walking on a path that some people call the Razor's
- 6:45edge. Not dangerous for someone who
- 6:50walks carefully with that stability.
- 6:55Not frightening for someone who understands balance.
- 7:02Because the razor's edge is simply the place where clarity
- 7:10and confidence lives. The place where a person walks
- 7:16forward without being pulled by anger on one side or the
- 7:23resignation of that weak acceptance on the other.
- 7:28Just steady, balanced. And as you imagine walking along
- 7:36this mountain path, you might notice that earlier in the
- 7:41journey, there were moments of frustration, moments where anger
- 7:49appeared. And maybe that anger was about
- 7:53unfairness, someone's behavior, being unreasonable,
- 8:01disrespectful, entitled, or just exploitative.
- 8:06And when someone tries to take advantage, any anger sometimes
- 8:15is reasonable. Because anger is not weakness.
- 8:22Anger can be energy. When something you value is
- 8:28being violated, something you hold to be true is being
- 8:33misconstrued or exploited, perhaps the mind's way of saying
- 8:40something matters. Something deserves protection.
- 8:48And the problem about anger is never anger itself.
- 8:54The emotion is fine. It can only be a problem with
- 9:00what people do with that anger. Some people explode with it, and
- 9:07some people suppress it. I want you to tap into the third
- 9:13option. The third option is discipline,
- 9:23because a person walking along a mountain Ridge doesn't waste
- 9:28energy shouting at the wind, and they don't allow themselves to
- 9:33just fall. They simply place the next step
- 9:39carefully, steadily forward, and as you continue walking along
- 9:50this Ridge, give permission to feel a change.
- 9:58That anger that once felt heavy, anger that led you to feeling
- 10:04unbalanced begins to transform. And not disappearing, just
- 10:11transforming. Like a fire that once burned
- 10:16wildly being placed inside a furnace field of focus.
- 10:25The energy being contained, harnessed and useful.
- 10:32That fire of anger now becomes clarity, strength, resolve and
- 10:41boundaries. Because dealing with difficult
- 10:46or entitled people doesn't require rage.
- 10:50It requires structure, evidence, sometimes documentation, or calm
- 10:58confidence with a quiet knowledge and belief that truth
- 11:05still matters. What's true is more important
- 11:13than what someone believes. And as you continue walking
- 11:18along the Ridge, the razor's edge, notice that behind you is
- 11:25the place you are, leaving that apartment with space you never
- 11:30used, the landlord causing difficulty, the conflict or
- 11:36tension. And as you think back from this
- 11:41vantage point, something becomes clear.
- 11:49That chapter of your life was never meant to be permanent.
- 11:54It was simply a crossing point, a stepping stone, perhaps.
- 12:00A place where you learned about resilience, about fairness, that
- 12:06you achieve something magnificent that you had set out
- 12:10to do. Publishing a book and making it
- 12:14available to the world. All of that matters.
- 12:21But you also learned about how to stand your ground without
- 12:24losing your balance, without resorting to unnecessary anger
- 12:30or rage. The feeling is fine if it's
- 12:36harnessed in the right way and ahead of you.
- 12:41Now the path begins to widen the razor's edge.
- 12:46The Ridge opens into a valley, a new place, a new home.
- 12:57Not just physically, but energetically.
- 13:02Because when someone moves homes, they aren't only changing
- 13:07walls and furniture, they're changing the atmosphere and the
- 13:12very ambience of their life. A wonderful reset, a
- 13:19recalibration, a lighter chapter.
- 13:25And as you begin walking toward that new place, maybe you notice
- 13:31how the body feels lighter, clearer, less entangled, because
- 13:37you realize you don't need to carry resentment or frustration
- 13:41into the next chapter. You can carry something far more
- 13:47powerful. Self respect, inner strength,
- 13:55the ability to say that I'm compassionate, but I am no
- 14:00pushover. I am fair, but I am not weak.
- 14:09I can understand people without allowing them to take advantage
- 14:14of me. And that balance is the razor's
- 14:19edge. And perhaps you can imagine
- 14:23arriving at the front door of your new apartment.
- 14:29The door opens. A blank canvas, a clean slate,
- 14:34the ability to make it exactly as you wanted.
- 14:40Because when a space is empty, it can be designed
- 14:45intentionally, just like a new phase of life where you decide
- 14:54what belongs there and what gets left behind, what energy enters,
- 15:02what habits grow, what seeds you're planting to bear fruit in
- 15:10the future. And as you imagine walking
- 15:14around that space, notice how calm it feels.
- 15:21This move is not a retreat or a set back.
- 15:24It's a transition, a step forward, and with the money you
- 15:30save, you create freedom, adventures and travel.
- 15:36And when you travel to those places in Japan or Switzerland,
- 15:46it will come from a place of discernment.
- 15:50You chose this to facilitate what you value more and as you
- 16:00allow yourself to feel that you are on the brink of a new
- 16:06chapter, an empowering phase, a springboard into wonderful new
- 16:14opportunities, it's time to return.
- 16:19And you return with all of those resources coming with you.
- 16:25So take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your
- 16:31nose. Wiggle your fingers and wiggle
- 16:35your toes. Connect and calibrate into the
- 16:37here and the now as I now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken
- 16:43you. Starting to count 123 Waking up
- 16:50456. More alert 7-8 Open your eyes.
- 16:55Open your eyes 910. Wide awake, Wide awake.
- 17:03Wide awake.
