- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey guys, welcome to the Almost Famous Podcast. Today is
- 0:09Speaker 2: the day that we have this year's sort of like
- 0:14Speaker 2: antagonist a little bit Sean McLaughlin on Sean's like looking
- 0:19Speaker 2: at me like maybe a little bit. You are most
- 0:23Speaker 2: well known on Charity season as being Braden's like arch
- 0:28Speaker 2: enemy or like the guy that was just after Braiden.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Please let us know what was the first thing about
- 0:34Speaker 2: Braiden that Annoyedea, where you were like, I gotta watch
- 0:36Speaker 2: out for this guy.
- 0:38Speaker 3: I don't necessarily know if I was the guy out
- 0:40Speaker 3: to get Braiden the entire time.
- 0:42Speaker 4: Didn't feel that way at least when we were going
- 0:43Speaker 4: through it.
- 0:44Speaker 3: I think for me, and by the way preface, me
- 0:47Speaker 3: and Branden all good, we're friends.
- 0:49Speaker 4: Really, Yes, Yeah, I enjoyed seeing the seat.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Watching it back gave me a little bit more perspective
- 0:54Speaker 3: on Braiden and like he was just literally being himself
- 0:57Speaker 3: the entire time. I'm never going to knock a guy
- 0:58Speaker 3: for being you know, authentic. But night one, I remember,
- 1:03Speaker 3: it's just so stressful, Like the entire experience is really crazy,
- 1:06Speaker 3: everything so new, so I hadn't even got a chance
- 1:09Speaker 3: to really speak to charity besides my entrance, and then
- 1:12Speaker 3: Brandon kind of has the interaction that he has, comes back,
- 1:16Speaker 3: talks all about it, and it just rubbed me the
- 1:18Speaker 3: wrong way.
- 1:19Speaker 4: Looking back on it, it's like, not that big of
- 1:20Speaker 4: a deal.
- 1:21Speaker 3: But yeah, that was from the jump, and I was like, Okay,
- 1:24Speaker 3: don't really love him, but you know, we're going to
- 1:26Speaker 3: go through this together and figure it out. And it
- 1:27Speaker 3: just kind of kept going on and on and on,
- 1:30Speaker 3: and then eventually it came to a head.
- 1:32Speaker 4: I guess in.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Washington, are you saying it's fair to say that maybe
- 1:35Speaker 2: you've exaggerated all of his annoyances.
- 1:39Speaker 4: I don't think I exaggerated all of his anoyances.
- 1:41Speaker 3: I think going back in the moment, it was definitely frustrating,
- 1:45Speaker 3: But you know, I think everything's very tightened in that environment,
- 1:49Speaker 3: like everything is very heightened.
- 1:50Speaker 4: So I think the things that he was doing was
- 1:53Speaker 4: just we didn't have any other drama.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Really, yeah, as we had were so great that I
- 1:57Speaker 3: think just the he was really the only bit of it.
- 2:00Speaker 3: I think he was just hiding a little bit. But
- 2:01Speaker 3: I don't think I'm eacrating my reactions at all. I
- 2:04Speaker 3: think that's how I felt in the moment.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Yeah, my bad. I should have worded it in the
- 2:08Speaker 2: way that, like you probably made it. You probably felt
- 2:10Speaker 2: it was a bigger deal in that situation than it
- 2:12Speaker 2: would have been like in the real world.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Yeah, pretty much. I think you're right from.
- 2:16Speaker 5: That the a Sean, I've been here, nice too, Nice
- 2:21Speaker 5: to meet you. So you just kind of started out
- 2:24Speaker 5: with saying that you and Braiden are now friends. I
- 2:27Speaker 5: have a similar experience with somebody on Caitlin season. His
- 2:31Speaker 5: name was JJ Lane. JJ was somebody that really kind
- 2:36Speaker 5: of got under a lot of people's skin, and then
- 2:39Speaker 5: once we got off the show, you know, he went
- 2:41Speaker 5: to Paradise, people that got to know more of him,
- 2:43Speaker 5: and then I got to know more about him, and
- 2:46Speaker 5: and we're friends today. Uh what about Braiden have you
- 2:51Speaker 5: learned post show where we're like, he is just this guy?
- 2:55Speaker 5: I mean, JJ's the same way. He still would annoy me.
- 2:59Speaker 5: I haven't talked to JJ in years, but like, but
- 3:02Speaker 5: you just I think you just get to know somebody
- 3:04Speaker 5: a little deeper and you're like, yeah, that's just who
- 3:07Speaker 5: they are. So what about Braden have you learned since
- 3:11Speaker 5: the filming of the show.
- 3:13Speaker 3: I think, I mean, me and Braiden have gotten a
- 3:15Speaker 3: chance to speak a lot since then.
- 3:18Speaker 4: I'm never one.
- 3:18Speaker 3: To hold grudges too, so it's not someone thing I
- 3:20Speaker 3: wanted to carry on into my life like this. I
- 3:23Speaker 3: hated going through the experience with him, but like afterwards,
- 3:26Speaker 3: I was, you know, definitely open to many in that relationship.
- 3:30Speaker 3: What I realized is when I'm talking to Branden and
- 3:32Speaker 3: like the earrings, the crazy outfits, like that's him, Like
- 3:35Speaker 3: that is literally him. And I became very appreciative of
- 3:38Speaker 3: him just being himself the entire time, and truthly he was.
- 3:41Speaker 4: He was being pretty real.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Like I think in the experience with the Bachelor atut
- 3:45Speaker 3: you do have to lean in a little bit, and
- 3:47Speaker 3: I think if you're constantly fighting against this crazy experience
- 3:51Speaker 3: where you might potentially get engaged in like six out
- 3:54Speaker 3: of the weeks, whatever the timeframe is, and it just
- 3:56Speaker 3: kind of weighs on you. So he was one of
- 3:58Speaker 3: those guys that like he was trying to bring real
- 4:00Speaker 3: world you know, I guess opinions and thoughts into experience,
- 4:04Speaker 3: like you guys are all crazy, like you can't do this.
- 4:06Speaker 3: But I think post show, I think he's just being himself,
- 4:09Speaker 3: and I've come to like really appreciate it. Like I
- 4:11Speaker 3: laugh at a lot of the stuff he does now
- 4:13Speaker 3: and we're all cool, but he's just himself and that's him, like,
- 4:16Speaker 3: and he doesn't conformed his personality, which I really appreciate
- 4:20Speaker 3: to He's not going out there to please anyone, Like
- 4:23Speaker 3: He's gonna be himself no matter what the situation, if
- 4:25Speaker 3: there's cameras on him, if there's no cameras around, like,
- 4:27Speaker 3: that's Brandon, and I definitely come to love and respect that.
- 4:31Speaker 2: That sounds like perhaps you mended this relationship somewhere called
- 4:35Speaker 2: Bachelor in Paradise.
- 4:37Speaker 4: I don't know. We'll have to We'll have to see.
- 4:39Speaker 4: I can't really come.
- 4:40Speaker 5: Do you have a tan right now? You're pretty tan.
- 4:43Speaker 5: You're more tan than I remember you, so I would
- 4:45Speaker 5: have I think that seems like a beach tan.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Could comeback.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:54Speaker 5: That's nice, nice cover up there.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Yeah, well, okay, so I'm thinking I'm just going to
- 4:59Speaker 2: assume that you both are in Paradise, okay, because we
- 5:02Speaker 2: know Brandon is in Paradise and you guys had mentell all,
- 5:07Speaker 2: I'm assuming if it goes by the regular timeline after
- 5:10Speaker 2: you filmed Paradise, which probably complicates your relationship because you
- 5:16Speaker 2: probably became friends in Paradise and then you had to
- 5:18Speaker 2: go and argue with him at Mental Hell.
- 5:20Speaker 4: I think that.
- 5:22Speaker 3: There's a lot, like honestly, there's a lot we go
- 5:24Speaker 3: into in terms of like the men and tell all
- 5:26Speaker 3: and then obviously where it ends up after that. I
- 5:28Speaker 3: think that what really was the difference for me and
- 5:31Speaker 3: mending the relationship with Braden was like watching it all
- 5:34Speaker 3: back and seeing that for the most part, like ninety
- 5:37Speaker 3: nine percent of it, he was being honest with Charity,
- 5:39Speaker 3: telling her everything, and I was never going to be
- 5:41Speaker 3: the one that, you know, I guess goes to Charity
- 5:43Speaker 3: and brings up other guys.
- 5:44Speaker 4: I really was just focused.
- 5:46Speaker 3: On our relationship, but I just got a lot more
- 5:49Speaker 3: perspective on it, and I thought it was funny, like
- 5:51Speaker 3: he said some stuff about me that I was laughing at.
- 5:53Speaker 3: I think me and Brain are both the type of
- 5:55Speaker 3: personalities where we can laugh at each other. We can
- 5:57Speaker 3: laugh at ourselves, so we don't make too big of
- 5:59Speaker 3: a deal at it thing, but in the moment when
- 6:01Speaker 3: you're filming and doing all that, it definitely becomes it
- 6:03Speaker 3: weighs on you a little bit, but I was laughing
- 6:05Speaker 3: the entire time watching the fact, So we're all good.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Now, Okay, that's good.
- 6:09Speaker 4: Be again.
- 6:10Speaker 3: Actually, I'm going out to San Diego for some work,
- 6:11Speaker 3: so we're gonna hang out and catch up.
- 6:13Speaker 4: And I guess you got a new style. I'm anxious
- 6:16Speaker 4: to see it. I don't know if you all.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Saw that, but I don't think I did.
- 6:20Speaker 5: I haven't seen it. I would like to see it.
- 6:25Speaker 5: Oh goodness, Well, Sean, moving on from Brandon then, because
- 6:29Speaker 5: that isn't your only legacy from the show. You were
- 6:32Speaker 5: around for a.
- 6:33Speaker 3: While actually, but I guess maybe I wasn't tuned in
- 6:37Speaker 3: as much as I thought.
- 6:39Speaker 5: But yeah, the mental All did just air recently. If
- 6:44Speaker 5: you can give viewers, so the people that listen to
- 6:47Speaker 5: this show are fans of the show, they've been around
- 6:50Speaker 5: for a while, they're loyal watchers, they really like the
- 6:53Speaker 5: behind the scenes, and so can you just kind of
- 6:56Speaker 5: give us a quick overview of what you expected during
- 7:00Speaker 5: your time filming and what it was actually like. And
- 7:03Speaker 5: then also maybe move that into the same thing with
- 7:05Speaker 5: mentel all, what was it like to see all these
- 7:08Speaker 5: guys again? And Charity you know, after you've watched yourself
- 7:13Speaker 5: on television for weeks.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Yeah, I really had no idea what to expect going
- 7:18Speaker 3: into filming the Batch rat like it's it's a crazy world.
- 7:21Speaker 3: When at first my coworkert nominating, and I've been single
- 7:24Speaker 3: for before the show was six years. So I was like,
- 7:27Speaker 3: you know, I'm in a good spot with my life
- 7:28Speaker 3: right now, Like I feel like I'm ready for it.
- 7:30Speaker 3: It'd be a cool experience, like let's go for it.
- 7:32Speaker 3: But the whole time waiting up to it, you really
- 7:34Speaker 3: have no idea. I've never really been in front of
- 7:36Speaker 3: the camera and never really been into, you know, that
- 7:39Speaker 3: type of environment before. And I remember, I don't think
- 7:41Speaker 3: I've ever been more nervous in my entire life than
- 7:44Speaker 3: when I walked down to get into Limo and I
- 7:47Speaker 3: got Dott and James, John b and Mike be and
- 7:50Speaker 3: they're all just.
- 7:50Speaker 4: Like great looking dudes, funny, like super personal.
- 7:53Speaker 3: And I'm sitting down next to dot and Doten's all
- 7:56Speaker 3: of six eight, and I just look so tighty.
- 7:58Speaker 4: S A yeah, no, Donton says he's six to seven.
- 8:03Speaker 4: That dude is all of six eighty.
- 8:05Speaker 3: He is an unbelievably big human being, but he's also
- 8:08Speaker 3: so kind and funny. I was great getting to know
- 8:10Speaker 3: what at first. So I kind of hung out with
- 8:11Speaker 3: those guys at first when we got to the mansion.
- 8:13Speaker 3: But I'm sitting the limo, I can't even speak, like
- 8:16Speaker 3: I'm shaking, And it was a little cold in LA
- 8:18Speaker 3: when we were filming, so I could use that as
- 8:20Speaker 3: an excuse, but really I couldn't even speak my voice
- 8:22Speaker 3: for trembling, and I was like, I don't even know
- 8:24Speaker 3: how I'm gonna say anything to Charity when when I
- 8:26Speaker 3: get to see her. But as soon as I stepped
- 8:27Speaker 3: out of limo, I kind of was actually shocking how
- 8:30Speaker 3: much I calmed down and was able to get out
- 8:32Speaker 3: what I wanted to say. And then you step right
- 8:34Speaker 3: into the mansion and there's about twenty five like the
- 8:36Speaker 3: most attractive outcome people you've ever seen in your life.
- 8:38Speaker 3: So I thought super, I don't know, a little self
- 8:41Speaker 3: conscious going into it.
- 8:43Speaker 4: And then I think after.
- 8:45Speaker 3: The first night, you kind of don't really notice the
- 8:48Speaker 3: cameras too much. Like first night, they're definitely in your
- 8:51Speaker 3: face and everything's so crazy you're filming all night. I
- 8:53Speaker 3: think that you know, we finished that road ceremony it
- 8:55Speaker 3: was like nine o'clock in the morning, and I didn't
- 8:57Speaker 3: even talk to Charity.
- 8:58Speaker 4: So I was like, what the heck is to her?
- 9:00Speaker 2: That first night?
- 9:01Speaker 3: I didn't talk to the first night, so I went
- 9:03Speaker 3: into that Rose ceremony. I'm like, am I I have
- 9:05Speaker 3: no idea where I stand. Obviously, it was pretty crazy.
- 9:08Speaker 3: I was exhausted. I was up all night, so it
- 9:11Speaker 3: was definitely stressful going into that road ceremony. But after
- 9:14Speaker 3: that moment, and after you kind of get into it
- 9:16Speaker 3: and you kind of get a feel for how things operate,
- 9:19Speaker 3: it became a lot more comfortable. And one thing I
- 9:21Speaker 3: realized pretty quickly is you got to be open with
- 9:25Speaker 3: like how you're feeling in the moment, like be okay
- 9:27Speaker 3: expressing that I think you're you should be able to
- 9:30Speaker 3: say how you're feeling. A lot of people get caught
- 9:32Speaker 3: up with how they're going to look on TV. I
- 9:34Speaker 3: feel like I never once did anything I was like, oh,
- 9:36Speaker 3: that's going to look bad on TV. Like I was
- 9:38Speaker 3: just being myself and like whatever I was feeling the moment,
- 9:40Speaker 3: whatever I was thinking, like, I was going to say
- 9:42Speaker 3: it and be pretty open with it. And we kind
- 9:45Speaker 3: of carried that same for the most part, all of
- 9:47Speaker 3: us carry that same thing into the tell all. And
- 9:49Speaker 3: obviously there's a time gap between when we get done
- 9:52Speaker 3: filming and when we film the tell All. I mean,
- 9:54Speaker 3: I'm really close with with pretty much all the guys too,
- 9:57Speaker 3: so we're always talking and you know, making sure we
- 9:59Speaker 3: keep in touch with one. I've hung around a bunch
- 10:01Speaker 3: of him before then. But then we knew we were
- 10:03Speaker 3: going to have to talk about the main points this season,
- 10:06Speaker 3: and like the main point of the season was was
- 10:08Speaker 3: braiding for the.
- 10:09Speaker 4: Most part up until his exit.
- 10:11Speaker 3: So I remember, like, and I wouldn't say that relationship
- 10:15Speaker 3: was actually mended then, like I think it got mended.
- 10:18Speaker 4: Posts mental all truth.
- 10:19Speaker 3: Really, yeah, there's our relationships a little bit of a
- 10:25Speaker 3: roller coaster, I would say. And I love the guy now,
- 10:27Speaker 3: like he's amazing, but it's been a roller coaster with
- 10:30Speaker 3: me and Braiden for sure. So I like I was
- 10:33Speaker 3: actually going into the towel and him like I just
- 10:35Speaker 3: have to speak about how he is feeling the moment,
- 10:37Speaker 3: like this is about the Bachelorette, and you know how
- 10:40Speaker 3: I was feeling going through that, dealing and navigating the
- 10:43Speaker 3: situations of Braiden. So I was okay with kind of
- 10:45Speaker 3: saying my piece. I also thought braid To handled himself
- 10:48Speaker 3: incredibly well. Like he again, he was just being himself
- 10:51Speaker 3: and he was pretty much telling Charity everything. There's a
- 10:53Speaker 3: little like nuance to that in terms of I guess
- 10:55Speaker 3: the way he was shaping it to her compared to
- 10:57Speaker 3: your shaping to the guys.
- 10:58Speaker 4: But you know, he's pretty honest with her.
- 11:00Speaker 3: It wasn't it wasn't that difficult to go back into
- 11:03Speaker 3: how I was feeling the moment because I feel like
- 11:05Speaker 3: I had some fair points of being Brain's points arevalid too,
- 11:07Speaker 3: and I don't think there's anyone wrong in the situation, truthfully.
- 11:20Speaker 2: So you guys really thought that he was saying these
- 11:23Speaker 2: things to you guys but not telling her the same thing. Yeah,
- 11:27Speaker 2: And that's where, like you guys got so annoyed at him.
- 11:30Speaker 3: I just thought it was like it got to the
- 11:32Speaker 3: point where I knew, I think Brandon knew that he
- 11:36Speaker 3: was never going to be able to like get there
- 11:38Speaker 3: in the end and right right, and like at that point,
- 11:41Speaker 3: like when you're you're you're taking time from other guys
- 11:44Speaker 3: and you're accepting roses, but like you know, you're not
- 11:46Speaker 3: going to get there, it's better just to kind of
- 11:48Speaker 3: to bow out. And like we didn't know that he
- 11:50Speaker 3: kind of quote unquote self eliminated in Washington. I we
- 11:54Speaker 3: thought had sent her home. So plays into everything. There's
- 11:57Speaker 3: a lot that you get a little bit more clarity
- 11:59Speaker 3: and watching it back, but but yeah, we didn't know
- 12:02Speaker 3: he was shaping it the same way, and he was
- 12:03Speaker 3: being pretty honest with Charity, but I think he just
- 12:05Speaker 3: knew he wasn't gonna get there, and to defend him
- 12:08Speaker 3: a little bit, this it's it's a tough experience. Like
- 12:11Speaker 3: people think you went on the Bachelor att and you
- 12:13Speaker 3: had a vacation for however long it was.
- 12:15Speaker 4: It's really it's pretty it's pretty tough. It's emotional.
- 12:18Speaker 3: You're in situations you never dealt with before, and like
- 12:20Speaker 3: you're trying to figure out how to navigate it and
- 12:22Speaker 3: there's really no manual and especially like for me, like
- 12:26Speaker 3: the biggest part of this experience was the guys were
- 12:29Speaker 3: so amazing. We have such great relationships. So when Braden
- 12:31Speaker 3: went to Washington, it was kind of like he was
- 12:33Speaker 3: he's on the outside, and I'm sure that played a
- 12:35Speaker 3: big part into it where that becomes even more difficult
- 12:37Speaker 3: when you know the guys you're hanging around with a
- 12:39Speaker 3: lot aren't necessarily in your corner, right.
- 12:42Speaker 5: Totally, It's obvious that at some point Braden did realize
- 12:46Speaker 5: that he probably wasn't going to be there at the end. Sean,
- 12:51Speaker 5: did you ever have that realization? Did you ever when
- 12:54Speaker 5: did you start to feel like, hey, this is not
- 12:56Speaker 5: gonna be my thing with Charity forever?
- 13:00Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 13:01Speaker 3: I think for me probably when I when I when
- 13:05Speaker 3: we went on the two and one date, like that
- 13:06Speaker 3: should have been probably like the first indication for me
- 13:09Speaker 3: that it wasn't gonna be in there. And there's definitely
- 13:11Speaker 3: moments like when and you guys didn't get to chance
- 13:14Speaker 3: to see like all of our conversations, right, it's a
- 13:16Speaker 3: television show, like not everything me Stone, but like there
- 13:19Speaker 3: really was a connection between me and her. So I
- 13:22Speaker 3: don't think it was a realization until we went on
- 13:23Speaker 3: the two and one date and then Dot and got
- 13:26Speaker 3: you know, back to back one.
- 13:27Speaker 4: On ones too.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Should have been a little bit more in my mind,
- 13:29Speaker 3: But I can't really base my feelings on like where
- 13:33Speaker 3: she stands with other guys. You try to block that
- 13:35Speaker 3: out in the moment, So like I didn't know her
- 13:37Speaker 3: connection with Joey. I didn't know her connection with Don
- 13:39Speaker 3: and there's Za or Aaron b or any of that.
- 13:41Speaker 3: I'm just focused on, you know, what I feel when
- 13:43Speaker 3: I'm with her. But not getting a rose on the
- 13:46Speaker 3: two on one date probably should have been the indication, like, hey,
- 13:49Speaker 3: like it's probably she's probably not gonna be the one
- 13:51Speaker 3: for you. And that's tough because like I cared, like
- 13:53Speaker 3: I cared deeply about her. I felt great about our relationship,
- 13:56Speaker 3: so your mind kind of just it just crumbles a
- 13:59Speaker 3: little when like you feel so great but you're not
- 14:01Speaker 3: getting the rose, and then you're kind of stuck around
- 14:03Speaker 3: in limbo limbo, like I didn't know if we were.
- 14:05Speaker 4: Getting another date, Like I had no idea what that
- 14:07Speaker 4: week held.
- 14:08Speaker 3: And then we have hometowns the next week, and I've
- 14:10Speaker 3: only introduced one girl in my family my entire life,
- 14:12Speaker 3: so that's a kind of a big deal to me,
- 14:14Speaker 3: and I wanted to have some confidence going in into
- 14:17Speaker 3: hometowns that I could potentially, I guess, be the one
- 14:19Speaker 3: in the end, but yeah, I was.
- 14:21Speaker 4: It was I think New Orleans was kind of the
- 14:23Speaker 4: realization for.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Me tonight as we were recording this on Monday, August
- 14:27Speaker 2: twenty first is the finale. I am unspoiled, and I'm
- 14:31Speaker 2: very excited. I know that there's like this big, this
- 14:33Speaker 2: big people mistake that happened over the weekend. We'll talk
- 14:36Speaker 2: about that good and tomorrow's recap, but I want to
- 14:40Speaker 2: ask you We're going into this night with really three
- 14:42Speaker 2: guys still there. Aaron B is there and she hasn't
- 14:45Speaker 2: eliminated him. Were you shocked to see him show up?
- 14:51Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 14:52Speaker 5: Did you know?
- 14:52Speaker 2: This? Was he saying this in the group chat? Did
- 14:55Speaker 2: you guys know beforehand?
- 14:56Speaker 3: I would say that like watching him get ready and
- 14:59Speaker 3: packs off. When I was watching the episode back, I
- 15:01Speaker 3: was like, Aaron B Is going to Fiji.
- 15:03Speaker 4: Oh my god. And we were like, we kind of
- 15:05Speaker 4: have a good laugh about it.
- 15:06Speaker 3: Because when he went up and he asked like the
- 15:08Speaker 3: front desk that he's like, do you know where Charity is?
- 15:11Speaker 4: Like right, like she's gonna do that.
- 15:17Speaker 3: Well, So we were giving them a lot of crap
- 15:18Speaker 3: for that, and we were laughing at that, but yeah,
- 15:21Speaker 3: he's he's still around.
- 15:22Speaker 4: It was I think for Aaron too, is like he
- 15:25Speaker 4: had the first one on ones, so then there's.
- 15:26Speaker 3: A huge between time that he got a chance to
- 15:29Speaker 3: have time with Charity, right, So you knew they had
- 15:32Speaker 3: a strong connection going through it, and you know he's
- 15:35Speaker 3: gonna he's gonna go in and fight for what he
- 15:37Speaker 3: feels right in the moment, and Charity accepted them back,
- 15:40Speaker 3: I believe, right. So it's one of those things like
- 15:42Speaker 3: we'll see how it plays out. I truly think that,
- 15:45Speaker 3: Like we're recording this on Monday, I think it ends
- 15:47Speaker 3: the way it's supposed to end.
- 15:49Speaker 4: And I'm like really excited for for them.
- 15:51Speaker 3: So, uh, I can't wait to see the night and
- 15:53Speaker 3: watch I'll be tuned in and see my.
- 15:54Speaker 5: Guys, is it shocking to you that Aaron b came back?
- 15:58Speaker 5: Like is did that seem like something he would do?
- 16:03Speaker 3: I mean, Aaron's always gonna do what he feels right
- 16:06Speaker 3: in the moment, and you may not agree with it,
- 16:10Speaker 3: Like a lot of people didn't agree with him bringing
- 16:11Speaker 3: up Brandon to Charity, right, And I think it came
- 16:14Speaker 3: from a good place. And I think him coming back
- 16:16Speaker 3: from to Fiji is definitely from a good spot. And
- 16:19Speaker 3: I don't think a lot of people kind of see
- 16:21Speaker 3: that side of Aaron where like he is really genuine
- 16:23Speaker 3: and he's gonna do what he feels right at the moment,
- 16:24Speaker 3: even if you don't necessarily agree with it.
- 16:27Speaker 2: But yeah, do you you've said that, you've kind of
- 16:32Speaker 2: like put Dotton on a pedestal. You thought it was
- 16:35Speaker 2: really cool right off the bat. Yeah, what do you
- 16:37Speaker 2: think about Joey, he's our other guy of the night.
- 16:40Speaker 4: Well, Joey, Joey's one of my closest friends.
- 16:42Speaker 6: Now.
- 16:43Speaker 4: He was my roommate when we were traveling throughout.
- 16:45Speaker 3: The show, so we got we got a lot of
- 16:46Speaker 3: time to to connect and we're very I know, we
- 16:49Speaker 3: got a lot in common. We like to mess around
- 16:51Speaker 3: with each other. And he's a he's a really he's
- 16:53Speaker 3: a sweetheart. Like that guy is a gem of a person.
- 16:56Speaker 3: And getting a chance to get him to know him
- 16:59Speaker 3: better was great. And like the thing with this is
- 17:01Speaker 3: the guys that are remaining are truly just some of
- 17:03Speaker 3: the most incredible men. And we had an unbelievable group
- 17:06Speaker 3: of guys. We realized that, like when we were filming,
- 17:09Speaker 3: like damn, a lot of these guys are awesome people.
- 17:11Speaker 4: We all got along really well for the most part.
- 17:14Speaker 3: But Joe's great, He's just very I don't want to
- 17:18Speaker 3: say low key because I'm not.
- 17:19Speaker 4: I don't feel like I'm dogging on.
- 17:20Speaker 3: But he's just a great guy, like super sweet, funny, outgoing.
- 17:25Speaker 4: Was very much like I'm here for.
- 17:28Speaker 3: Charity, like I'm not gonna worry about anything else, like
- 17:30Speaker 3: I'm here to see if I can have this relationship
- 17:31Speaker 3: with her. But he's great, Like God and Joey are
- 17:33Speaker 3: just some of the most incredible people.
- 17:35Speaker 4: They're very wuld say.
- 17:37Speaker 3: They're kind of similar in nature, even though the size
- 17:39Speaker 3: difference is quite a bit, but they're great.
- 17:42Speaker 4: I love them both.
- 17:43Speaker 5: The interesting thing is you just said, you know you
- 17:45Speaker 5: had a great group of guys, and I know from
- 17:50Speaker 5: my experience, I believe we did also during my time
- 17:53Speaker 5: on the Bachelorette, and then I believe the women when
- 17:55Speaker 5: I was the Bachelor were incredible. But there was drama
- 17:58Speaker 5: typically that was never shown, arguments or fights. So in
- 18:02Speaker 5: your experience on Charity season, they can't show everything. Was
- 18:06Speaker 5: there anything going on behind the scenes amongst all of
- 18:10Speaker 5: you that was not shown that you were shocked by?
- 18:14Speaker 3: No, I think we really did have such a little
- 18:16Speaker 3: drama that the majority was shown, like going into week two,
- 18:19Speaker 3: like the Adriane Braiden stuff like Adrian talking to Cherry
- 18:22Speaker 3: about Braiden, and then the Braiden stuff with Ar andb
- 18:24Speaker 3: and Ocean Side and then him coming back like that
- 18:26Speaker 3: was kind of like the main source of drama from the.
- 18:29Speaker 4: Season there was.
- 18:31Speaker 3: There was one part I believe like and they showed
- 18:33Speaker 3: it in a commercial for like a Poppit wines or
- 18:35Speaker 3: something like that, and James got into an argument, which
- 18:38Speaker 3: was like that argument was actually so funny and me
- 18:41Speaker 3: and him laugh about it now, but he was like
- 18:43Speaker 3: upset that, like I stole charity first in Oceanside, and
- 18:47Speaker 3: like it was cutting into this time and we were
- 18:49Speaker 3: going back and forth like we were never going to
- 18:51Speaker 3: see each other's way.
- 18:51Speaker 4: We just kept going back and battling, and then eventually
- 18:54Speaker 4: it's like He's like, what do you want me to do?
- 18:55Speaker 3: And I'm like, just go talk to her. And then
- 18:58Speaker 3: that was like the popping wine commercial.
- 18:59Speaker 6: Other than that, that's like, yeah.
- 19:12Speaker 2: You strike me as somebody who's watched the show in
- 19:15Speaker 2: the past, Why do I get that vibe?
- 19:17Speaker 3: I saw the only season I really watched fully well
- 19:20Speaker 3: two it was Peter Weber's season I start a new job.
- 19:23Speaker 3: I was living in New York City at the time,
- 19:24Speaker 3: and my office was like really tuned in like The
- 19:27Speaker 3: Bachelor in that season, So I watched that one.
- 19:30Speaker 4: I remember thinking like, oh my god, this is like crazy,
- 19:32Speaker 4: like that ending was.
- 19:33Speaker 2: It was a good season to start.
- 19:35Speaker 4: Yeah, I was.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Like, oh my god, like especially at the end when
- 19:38Speaker 3: like Barb and Maddie are like kind of going out.
- 19:40Speaker 4: Of Oh my gosh, yeah City television.
- 19:43Speaker 3: So I kind of got busy with work and I
- 19:46Speaker 3: was doing my thing. I didn't watch, and then obviously
- 19:48Speaker 3: going through the process, I knew that The Bachelor I
- 19:50Speaker 3: could be from Zach season, so I tuned into that
- 19:53Speaker 3: and was like pretty heavily tuned in.
- 19:54Speaker 4: There's also a girl from Tampa on that.
- 19:56Speaker 3: Catazee, who I'm friends with now, so like she's I
- 19:59Speaker 3: was watching that like kind of seeing how it all was.
- 20:02Speaker 4: But you really don't know what to expect until you
- 20:04Speaker 4: get in there.
- 20:05Speaker 3: Because it was I envisioned some things going a little
- 20:07Speaker 3: bit differently than than how they went out.
- 20:09Speaker 5: I'd be shocked. I'm always shocked if somebody agrees to
- 20:12Speaker 5: go on the show and never has seen a season
- 20:14Speaker 5: or seen an episode, because it seems like it happens
- 20:19Speaker 5: all the time actually, and I always shocked that people
- 20:20Speaker 5: are the the guy that is the tattle tell the
- 20:23Speaker 5: guy that is there for the right reasons and make
- 20:25Speaker 5: sure everybody else is Like, it's always wild to me.
- 20:28Speaker 5: So I'm glad you watched some of it. Now you
- 20:30Speaker 5: had did watch Zach's season. Obviously you did participate on
- 20:35Speaker 5: Charity season. Let's again assume the year in Paradise. Let's
- 20:41Speaker 5: also assume that Paradise hasn't filmed yet. Who would you
- 20:49Speaker 5: be most excited to see on the beach from Charity season?
- 20:52Speaker 5: Your buddies? And then who what women were you most
- 20:55Speaker 5: excited or are most excited to see on the beach?
- 20:59Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, great question, A good good way to phrase that.
- 21:03Speaker 3: All so from from my guys, Like we did have
- 21:07Speaker 3: a tight nique group, Like I was looking forward to
- 21:09Speaker 3: seeing all of them, Like I wanted as many of
- 21:10Speaker 3: Charity's guys on the beach as possible, Like we do
- 21:13Speaker 3: have such a great time.
- 21:14Speaker 4: Together in the moment.
- 21:15Speaker 3: Definitely, like did not want to see Brandon, and I
- 21:18Speaker 3: was pretty open about that. But well we'll digress there.
- 21:22Speaker 3: Aaron b was my guy, Tanner John Henry John b.
- 21:25Speaker 3: John Bee is like the most amazing guy in the world.
- 21:27Speaker 3: I love him to death, Aaron asked, is fun to
- 21:31Speaker 3: be around with most people.
- 21:32Speaker 4: Sometimes people don't like them, some people love him.
- 21:34Speaker 3: He's one of those guys We're either going to absolutely
- 21:36Speaker 3: love him or hate him. I found him pretty funny
- 21:38Speaker 3: and I enjoy hanging out with him.
- 21:40Speaker 4: He's good. He's a good dude.
- 21:41Speaker 3: But we had a we had a really solid strong
- 21:43Speaker 3: group of guys, so those from mine and then Charity's
- 21:46Speaker 3: I guess friends you can call him from Zach season.
- 21:49Speaker 4: I was excited to meet Jess, Like Jess was one of.
- 21:52Speaker 3: The girls that I'm like, all right, Like I watched
- 21:54Speaker 3: her on Zach season kind of had a similar narrative
- 21:56Speaker 3: where like we didn't get a one on one which
- 21:58Speaker 3: she's also from Florida, not too long not too far
- 22:02Speaker 3: from where I live in Tampa. So I was like,
- 22:03Speaker 3: I thought she was cute. I thought she was outgoing, funny.
- 22:05Speaker 3: We both have quite an affinity for Taylor Swift I
- 22:09Speaker 3: anywhere to get along there. Yeah, So I was excited
- 22:12Speaker 3: to see her, And then I thought Mercedes was really cool.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Like a lot of times you don't get a chance
- 22:16Speaker 3: to really know the individuals on the season, Like there's
- 22:19Speaker 3: not too much of the personality shown, but I thought
- 22:23Speaker 3: that Zach did have a really great group of girls.
- 22:25Speaker 3: So I think Jess and just Mercedes are ones that
- 22:28Speaker 3: I would be in the lookout for.
- 22:30Speaker 2: I guess you can say, okay, just from somebody who
- 22:33Speaker 2: like doesn't hasn't necessarily been to Paradise, do you find
- 22:36Speaker 2: that it would be easier to get engaged at the
- 22:39Speaker 2: end of Paradise or the end of the main chot.
- 22:42Speaker 3: I think it's I think it's a tough tough thing
- 22:44Speaker 3: to do to get engaged at the end of any
- 22:46Speaker 3: of it. I think one of the bachelorette was like,
- 22:48Speaker 3: you got to be open to it, and I was
- 22:49Speaker 3: always going into it. I was thinking, like I'm I
- 22:52Speaker 3: think I'm ready for it if I find my person
- 22:54Speaker 3: like I'm open to that experience, and like I don't
- 22:56Speaker 3: want to get engaged for a TV show, Like I
- 22:58Speaker 3: do want my engagement to be like legitimate and like
- 23:01Speaker 3: the person that I want to spend the rest of
- 23:02Speaker 3: my life with. I think Paradise, from what I've heard,
- 23:06Speaker 3: you have a little bit more like freedom and time
- 23:08Speaker 3: with them, so it might be a little bit easier
- 23:09Speaker 3: to engage at the end of Paradise than The Bachelorett
- 23:12Speaker 3: because Bachlot there's a lot of guys going after one
- 23:14Speaker 3: one girl, and in Paradise, you you kind of have
- 23:17Speaker 3: multiple I guess options that you can explore and see
- 23:19Speaker 3: which one feels the best. And then at the end
- 23:21Speaker 3: of it, if you're feeling confidence this is your person yet, yeah,
- 23:23Speaker 3: I'll be I'll be open to getting down on me.
- 23:26Speaker 5: I didn't realize what you've heard and experienced are synonymous
- 23:32Speaker 5: with each other, because we're going to assume again you
- 23:35Speaker 5: experienced this wonderful beach where you fell in love and
- 23:39Speaker 5: are engaged or.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Help me, Sean, before you know it, they're going to
- 23:44Speaker 2: put a teaser out and you'll be on it.
- 23:46Speaker 5: Yeah, you're fine, well, Sean. We always like to when
- 23:51Speaker 5: when a cast member comes off and you're in a
- 23:52Speaker 5: unique time right now, we just got done filming The Bachelorette,
- 23:57Speaker 5: and again you spent more time filming in Paradise a
- 24:02Speaker 5: lot of your life. Like this is a weird season
- 24:04Speaker 5: because you go from like zero to one hundred very fast.
- 24:07Speaker 5: You go from never being on camera before to now
- 24:10Speaker 5: being on camera for like three and a half four
- 24:13Speaker 5: months of your life straight and now you're back in
- 24:15Speaker 5: the real world. What are you most excited about now
- 24:18Speaker 5: that this chapter is not maybe closed, but it's definitely
- 24:21Speaker 5: going to change for you, and this time on TV's
- 24:23Speaker 5: probably coming to an end for most of those that
- 24:27Speaker 5: came on your season. What does life look like now
- 24:30Speaker 5: for you?
- 24:32Speaker 3: Yeah, it's I'm really enjoying my life right now. I'm
- 24:36Speaker 3: loving where I'm at with my work. They weren't for
- 24:39Speaker 3: my job when I went on Bachelorette, wasn't too thrilled
- 24:41Speaker 3: with me for going on it.
- 24:43Speaker 4: So I'm at a new company now that's pretty supportive
- 24:46Speaker 4: of the submody. I sell very niche. I used to
- 24:50Speaker 4: sell software payroll and HR software.
- 24:52Speaker 3: Right now I work for a company that's an advisory
- 24:55Speaker 3: firm that helps the company's file for governmental tax credit
- 25:00Speaker 3: and I'm on the sales side, So I go to
- 25:01Speaker 3: conferences all over the country. I'm traveling quite a bit,
- 25:04Speaker 3: which is amazing because I'm usually I'm going to places where.
- 25:06Speaker 4: I have friends.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Now from the show like saying, you don't have a conference
- 25:09Speaker 3: out there are going to see Braid and Airness and
- 25:11Speaker 3: hopefully er and b.
- 25:12Speaker 4: So life's good.
- 25:13Speaker 3: I think I'm excited to get back into a little
- 25:15Speaker 3: bit more sense of normal, Like I really did have
- 25:17Speaker 3: an amazing experience filming on the Bachelorette, Like I met
- 25:20Speaker 3: so many great people, like Charity was incredible, like one
- 25:23Speaker 3: of the best girls I've ever met my entire life.
- 25:24Speaker 4: And I just had a great time.
- 25:26Speaker 3: But I'm anxious to get back into a little bit
- 25:28Speaker 3: more normalcy, kind of get back into the routine. Before
- 25:31Speaker 3: going on in the Bachelorette, I was very, very regimented,
- 25:34Speaker 3: strict routine, like every day doing the same things. And
- 25:37Speaker 3: one of the reasons why I went on it was
- 25:38Speaker 3: it's gonna break it up, Like I'm going to get
- 25:40Speaker 3: new experiences, new things, hopefully some growth out of it,
- 25:43Speaker 3: and it was it was pretty cool to go through that.
- 25:45Speaker 3: So I'm excited to just get back into a little
- 25:47Speaker 3: bit normal see my family more.
- 25:49Speaker 4: Haven't really seen them in a while, so stuff like that.
- 25:52Speaker 2: We like to wrap our podcast up with a few
- 25:54Speaker 2: fun questions. And on your Bachelor bio, you said that
- 25:57Speaker 2: you like to dip your chocolate chip cookies in home milk,
- 26:00Speaker 2: but what if only skim milk was available?
- 26:03Speaker 4: Yeah, I think I think I do with skim milk.
- 26:04Speaker 4: I think milk is a bad wrap. I love Whole milk.
- 26:06Speaker 3: I drink Whole milk, but those, when I saw those
- 26:09Speaker 3: come out, I was like, oh my god, you couldn't
- 26:11Speaker 3: make me look like so boring, like cookies and milk.
- 26:14Speaker 4: I love, that's my favorite dessert. But yeah, those are funny.
- 26:18Speaker 2: You take pride in your great head of hair, which
- 26:21Speaker 2: I think is deserving.
- 26:23Speaker 4: Thank you, And.
- 26:26Speaker 2: Then you're a terrible texter, So like, are you a
- 26:28Speaker 2: terrible texture with your friends or with girls that you're dating,
- 26:32Speaker 2: because that I would I would suggest work on.
- 26:36Speaker 3: Yeah, those were like so misunderstood too when I was
- 26:39Speaker 3: going through, Like there's a lot of things that I
- 26:41Speaker 3: wish I could have. I guess wrote my bio. But
- 26:44Speaker 3: with texting, I call people. I call her facetimes.
- 26:46Speaker 4: Okay, my old job, I was always on the road
- 26:48Speaker 4: traveling around Florida, so like I would call people.
- 26:51Speaker 3: So but if someone text me, if I don't call them,
- 26:54Speaker 3: I'm probably gonna forget to answer.
- 26:56Speaker 4: But it's never like it's because I.
- 26:57Speaker 3: Don't want to communicate effectively with a girl that I'm
- 27:00Speaker 3: potentially dating, us on facetiming them at the end of
- 27:02Speaker 3: the day because I'm like running from meeting to meeting,
- 27:04Speaker 3: so little little misunderstood there. I guess what I was saying, but.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, Well I trust you on that. Then that's good.
- 27:12Speaker 2: That's a good tendency to have to call instead of texts,
- 27:16Speaker 2: especially when it comes to dating. Last question is in Paradise,
- 27:21Speaker 2: what drink could you most want to order from Wells
- 27:24Speaker 2: at the bar?
- 27:25Speaker 3: I heard Wells makes a stiff cocktail, so I do
- 27:28Speaker 3: love tequila is like my drink. I do a tequila soda,
- 27:32Speaker 3: depending on whether or not I need some energy to
- 27:35Speaker 3: squash of pineapple. I heard that's one of the specialties.
- 27:37Speaker 3: But we'll see.
- 27:39Speaker 5: I'll ask Wells. I'm going to see him tomorrow, so
- 27:42Speaker 5: I'll make sure to find out if you're nice to
- 27:45Speaker 5: the bartender and you gave him some tips. I hope
- 27:48Speaker 5: so Wells needs money.
- 27:52Speaker 4: To tell them. I said, what's up? You've always seeing
- 27:54Speaker 4: like someone that's pretty cool, so I.
- 27:55Speaker 5: Will do that. Hey, Sean, it's really nice to have
- 27:58Speaker 5: you on. We do wish you the best. You're real.
- 28:00Speaker 5: Hope to get you back on here in a few
- 28:02Speaker 5: months to break down your love story and if you
- 28:04Speaker 5: don't have a love story from Paradise, and we hope
- 28:06Speaker 5: to be able to catch up with you to hear
- 28:09Speaker 5: where life looks like here? When does it air? When's
- 28:12Speaker 5: when does the start of the airing of The Bachelor
- 28:15Speaker 5: in Paradise Ashley September something? Right?
- 28:17Speaker 2: I only know we have. Do you have a official
- 28:19Speaker 2: release date yet?
- 28:20Speaker 5: No? Probably not.
- 28:21Speaker 2: Well, sometimes someone's like it, He's like I heard that it's.
- 28:27Speaker 3: No.
- 28:27Speaker 4: I heard there's a trailer at the end.
- 28:28Speaker 2: So okay, So so tune in.
- 28:31Speaker 4: I guess you'll see.
- 28:33Speaker 2: We'll probably find we'll probably find out the date tonight.
- 28:35Speaker 3: Then.
- 28:36Speaker 5: Oh, I do have a final question for you, Sean. Yeah,
- 28:41Speaker 5: do you travel with a hair dryer?
- 28:44Speaker 4: So it depends on where I'm going.
- 28:46Speaker 3: The funny part about this whole experience, too, is I
- 28:49Speaker 3: get to the mansion and I didn't pat a hair
- 28:51Speaker 3: dryer because I was like, there was just twenty five
- 28:54Speaker 3: thirty girls there. There's gotta be a hair guy around
- 28:56Speaker 3: and I'm getting ready. After you move in, I'm like,
- 28:59Speaker 3: where's where's the hair? Like, no guy brought it. I'm
- 29:01Speaker 3: the only one that he uses it. So they had
- 29:04Speaker 3: to go out and get me, give me a blow
- 29:05Speaker 3: dryer for my hair.
- 29:06Speaker 2: But good question, Ben, very good question. So you put
- 29:10Speaker 2: it on the CBS list that we have.
- 29:13Speaker 3: The guys are like, I want some protein powders. Some
- 29:15Speaker 3: like Jordan, I'm like, I get a blow dryer.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Amazing.
- 29:19Speaker 5: I love it. Sean. Hey, Sean, we hope to have
- 29:21Speaker 5: you back again. Thanks for coming on the Almost Fits podcast.
- 29:23Speaker 5: We appreciate it, man, Thank you so much.
- 29:26Speaker 4: Appreciate you. Guys, I'm with you.
- 29:28Speaker 2: Talk to y'all soon, right, and before we leave, we
- 29:32Speaker 2: just got this information in while interviewing Sean. The Golden
- 29:36Speaker 2: Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise have just come out with
- 29:40Speaker 2: their premiere dates, and there's a new video relating to
- 29:43Speaker 2: The Golden Bachelor that you can check out. I think
- 29:47Speaker 2: that it'll be either online or it might be airing
- 29:50Speaker 2: during the finale tonight. But here are the times for
- 29:53Speaker 2: this fall. The Golden Bachelor will premiere on Thursday, September
- 29:57Speaker 2: twenty eighth. Is a really quick turnaround for product. For sure,
- 30:01Speaker 2: it will be airing at eight I do believe that
- 30:03Speaker 2: initially there was word that it was going to be
- 30:07Speaker 2: airing at like ten PM, and then there was jokes
- 30:09Speaker 2: about the fact that what kind of golden people are
- 30:13Speaker 2: going to be staying up to watch that so we
- 30:15Speaker 2: don't have to worry about that eight o'clock for the
- 30:17Speaker 2: Golden Bachelor, and it'll be followed by two hours of
- 30:20Speaker 2: Bachelor in Paradise from nine to eleven Eastern Standard time.
- 30:25Speaker 2: This is all gonna be very exciting three hours of
- 30:28Speaker 2: Bachelor content, but take note it is on Thursday, so
- 30:33Speaker 2: Bachelor content on ABC moving to Thursday nights.
- 30:36Speaker 5: This has been the Almost Famous Podcast. We'll be back
- 30:38Speaker 5: very soon to break down the finale of Charity season
- 30:41Speaker 5: of the Bachelorette. Thanks for Sean for coming on. Until
- 30:45Speaker 5: next time, I've Been Ben, I've Been Ashley Bad Guys.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Follow the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast on
