- 0:02Speaker 2: Right let's go good morning friends welcome to monday halloween
- 0:06Speaker 2: week is here happy halloween week ricky sanchez has those
- 0:09Speaker 2: three things presented by mark spain real estate speaking.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Of halloween week and spooky things ryan gosling is bringing
- 0:15Speaker 3: back his indie band dead man's bones after 17 years
- 0:19Speaker 3: he's now teasing new music a social media post from
- 0:22Speaker 3: the dead man's bones account named tomorrow the 27th as
- 0:26Speaker 3: the day they'll return with new music Dead Man's Bones
- 0:30Speaker 3: released its self-titled debut album in 2009. It got a
- 0:33Speaker 3: lot of attention because it's got a weird, strange blend
- 0:37Speaker 3: of eerie sounds. They have childlike harmonies in it.
- 0:42Speaker 4: It's very interesting.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Rolling Stone described the group as, quote, arcade fire. tom
- 0:48Speaker 3: waits and the cast of sesame street performing performing kurt
- 0:52Speaker 3: weill musical uh so just in case that means nothing
- 0:55Speaker 3: to you because it's quite strange here's a clip of
- 0:59Speaker 3: their song in the room where you sleep.
- 1:26Speaker 4: I like it. I like the Halloween vibes.
- 1:27Speaker 1: It fits.
- 1:28Speaker 3: It fits the season of right now and the Halloween
- 1:31Speaker 3: kind of spooky season vibes for sure. So tomorrow we'll
- 1:34Speaker 3: get new music from them. Four national restaurants earned new
- 1:38Speaker 3: honors in the 2026 Michelin Guide American South. Mais de
- 1:42Speaker 3: la Vida received Bib Gourmand status, which recognizes great food
- 1:46Speaker 3: at a great value. Fifth and Taylor, Junior, and Present
- 1:50Speaker 3: Tense joined the recommended list.
- 1:53Speaker 5: Bastion, the Catbird Seat, and.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Locust each retained one Michelin star. So congrats to all
- 1:59Speaker 3: of them. Obviously, huge success. Huge feat for everybody. We
- 2:02Speaker 3: have some really amazing restaurants here in Nashville. So this
- 2:04Speaker 3: is your reminder that if you can get out there
- 2:07Speaker 3: and support them, because as you know, things are rough
- 2:09Speaker 3: out there. So the more we support these places, the
- 2:13Speaker 3: more time that we can spend with them. And Global
- 2:15Speaker 3: Work and Travel, they analyze data to find the most
- 2:18Speaker 3: on-time airline. Delta has the best performance among U.S. airlines
- 2:22Speaker 3: with 77% of flights arriving within 15 minutes of schedule.
- 2:26Speaker 5: And JetBlue finished dead last.
- 2:28Speaker 3: They have just under 60% of flights arriving on schedule
- 2:31Speaker 3: and the highest cancellation rate at more than 6%. So
- 2:34Speaker 3: just something to keep in mind as you're getting into
- 2:37Speaker 3: the holidays. I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things.
- 2:39Speaker 5: You need to know.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Thank you, Ricky. Appreciate it. And thank you for starting
- 2:43Speaker 2: your day with us, starting your week with us. We
- 2:44Speaker 2: have something very cool for the first caller of the
- 2:47Speaker 2: day today and all week. It's tickets to see Matchbox
- 2:50Speaker 2: 20 with All-American Rejects.
- 2:52Speaker 4: Not yet.
- 2:53Speaker 2: About 10 minutes, less than 10 minutes. We'll ask you
- 2:55Speaker 2: to call if you want those. To start things up here,
- 2:58Speaker 2: it's 107.5 The River. It's Dominic Fike.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 3:02Speaker 2: It's Olivia Dean. It's The River. We are saying good
- 3:05Speaker 2: morning to Sherry. She's in Franklin right now. What's up, Sherry?
- 3:08Speaker 6: Just excited to be on.
- 3:11Speaker 7: The radio talking to you guys this morning.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Oh, we're excited to talk to you, Sherry. Are you
- 3:17Speaker 3: looking forward to Halloween this weekend?
- 3:18Speaker 6: Yes. I want to see all the kids dressed up.
- 3:21Speaker 5: I think they're so.
- 3:21Speaker 6: Cute when they come around. See what kind of costumes
- 3:24Speaker 6: they have.
- 3:25Speaker 4: Have you bought all of your candy yet?
- 3:27Speaker 6: No. I'm trying to find the best deal.
- 3:30Speaker 4: It's expensive.
- 3:31Speaker 8: I got to tell you, I went to Kroger over
- 3:33Speaker 8: the weekend and they had a good 160-piece set on
- 3:35Speaker 8: sale for like $ 9.
- 3:36Speaker 4: 99.
- 3:38Speaker 6: Wow, that's a great deal.
- 3:39Speaker 4: I know. See, I was going to suggest Costco.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Costco has a pretty good selection right now.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:44Speaker 2: My kids have wanted to buy candy every week. You know,
- 3:47Speaker 2: if they go to the store with me for the
- 3:48Speaker 2: last two months, they want to get candy. I'm like,
- 3:50Speaker 2: if we get it now, you guys are just going
- 3:51Speaker 2: to eat all of it before Halloween. So we wait
- 3:54Speaker 2: until the last minute to get ours.
- 3:55Speaker 5: Honestly, smart move there, Kev.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, my wife is guilty too. The three
- 3:59Speaker 2: of them would devour all of it.
- 4:02Speaker 3: I don't get any trick-or-treaters because I'm in an apartment
- 4:05Speaker 3: complex and there aren't really any kids.
- 4:07Speaker 5: There's maybe like.
- 4:08Speaker 3: Four kids in the complex as a whole. So I
- 4:10Speaker 3: don't really get trick-or-treaters, but I used to love seeing
- 4:14Speaker 3: their costumes, especially the ones that like they made them.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Either mom made them or they made them or they
- 4:19Speaker 3: made them together and seeing how creative they could get
- 4:21Speaker 3: with their costumes.
- 4:22Speaker 5: It was so fun.
- 4:23Speaker 6: I used to love to scare them with all kinds
- 4:26Speaker 6: of decor.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:29Speaker 2: What will you be doing for halloween are you gonna
- 4:30Speaker 2: be passing out candy are you gonna be out walking
- 4:32Speaker 2: around with any kids or what oh.
- 4:33Speaker 5: I'll be passing out candy to the kids.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Lovely ricky you should go just like hit the streets
- 4:38Speaker 2: i mean if you're not getting trick-or-treaters you should just
- 4:40Speaker 2: go feel that halloween energy because it's really it's uh
- 4:43Speaker 2: oh i.
- 4:43Speaker 3: Thought you were gonna tell me i should go trick-or-treating
- 4:45Speaker 3: i was gonna be like yeah you're right i should
- 4:47Speaker 3: let me get some candy just pour.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Some wine and like a little you know to-go cup
- 4:51Speaker 2: and just go walk around like a fancy neighborhood and
- 4:53Speaker 2: you're gonna you're gonna have a great time.
- 4:56Speaker 3: That's totally not concerning whatsoever for all of the families
- 4:59Speaker 3: there to be like, who the heck is this person
- 5:02Speaker 3: walking around?
- 5:03Speaker 4: Nobody would know. I'm telling you, go to.
- 5:05Speaker 3: I honestly think they'd probably think I was a child.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Yeah, it's fair. Are you going to dress up too?
- 5:11Speaker 5: Oh, I'm absolutely going to dress up, Sherry.
- 5:13Speaker 3: I have multiple options for costumes. I just haven't picked
- 5:17Speaker 3: which one I'm going to wear just yet. I have
- 5:19Speaker 3: them all lined up. I have all the things that
- 5:20Speaker 3: I need for them.
- 5:21Speaker 5: I just don't know which one I'm going to go
- 5:23Speaker 5: with yet.
- 5:23Speaker 4: Ricky's always very creative with it.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Hey, Sherry, we should probably tell you you are the first.
- 5:27Speaker 4: Caller of the day today, so congratulations.
- 5:29Speaker 7: Yes, all right.
- 5:31Speaker 6: I haven't seen Matchbox 20 ever.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh.
- 5:34Speaker 3: You're going to have so much fun celebrating the 30th anniversary.
- 5:37Speaker 5: Oh, perfect.
- 5:38Speaker 4: It's going to be a good time. The show is
- 5:39Speaker 4: at Bridgestone Arena. When is it? It's in May.
- 5:42Speaker 2: So you got a little bit of time here. But
- 5:43Speaker 2: have a great week. A happy Halloween. And thank you
- 5:46Speaker 2: so much for starting your day with us, Sherry.
- 5:47Speaker 6: Thank you, guys.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Love you guys.
- 5:49Speaker 5: Oh, we love you. Hang on the line.
- 5:51Speaker 4: And Zach, let me guess. You're going to be peanut
- 5:53Speaker 4: butter and jelly. Well, I'm not going to be peanut
- 5:55Speaker 4: butter and jelly. I'm just going to be jelly. Well,
- 5:56Speaker 4: you and David, that's your... Yeah, my boyfriend's going to
- 5:58Speaker 4: be peanut butter.
- 5:59Speaker 3: It so makes sense that you would be jelly and
- 6:01Speaker 3: he would be peanut butter.
- 6:02Speaker 5: That just fits.
- 6:03Speaker 1: You know what? That's right.
- 6:03Speaker 4: That's accurate. More of these tickets, same time tomorrow.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning. On 107.5 The River.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Zach, I saw a video of you.
- 6:14Speaker 2: In the studio, in the 107.5 The River studio over
- 6:17Speaker 2: the weekend.
- 6:18Speaker 8: Yeah, I brought my nephew into the studio so that
- 6:20Speaker 8: he could see where we work, and he had a
- 6:22Speaker 8: very specific message that he wanted to.
- 6:24Speaker 4: Leave for our very own Ricky.
- 6:26Speaker 5: Well, I think that's friggin' adorable.
- 6:29Speaker 2: We're going to play another Jingle Ball artist. Let's play
- 6:32Speaker 2: Stella Lefty, and then we'll hear that message for Ricky next.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 6:37Speaker 4: I am both.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Very excited and very nervous for this, which I feel
- 6:41Speaker 3: like is typical on this show. It's Ricky Zaccomano in
- 6:44Speaker 3: the morning on 107.5 The River. Very excited, very nervous
- 6:48Speaker 3: because Zach said that there is a message for me
- 6:50Speaker 3: from his nephew.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Yep.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Who came into the studio over the weekend.
- 6:54Speaker 5: You guys came here for funsies?
- 6:56Speaker 3: Like just to see the studio?
- 6:57Speaker 4: What was that about?
- 6:58Speaker 8: Well, we went to the Preds watch party Friday night
- 7:00Speaker 8: that they had at the National Yard.
- 7:02Speaker 4: So we just parked at work and then walked down.
- 7:04Speaker 8: And then after the game was over, we came back.
- 7:07Speaker 8: And I was like, hey, do you want to see
- 7:08Speaker 8: where we work? So he walked into the studio. He
- 7:10Speaker 8: was very excited to see the studio. Real quick, can
- 7:13Speaker 8: you remind us how old Stuart is?
- 7:14Speaker 4: He is nine. Okay, he's nine.
- 7:16Speaker 1: All right. Yeah.
- 7:18Speaker 8: So he hopped in my chair immediately and like sat
- 7:21Speaker 8: here and he, I don't know why, decided that he
- 7:25Speaker 8: needed to send a message to Ricky. So we have
- 7:28Speaker 8: cameras all over the studio and he was so excited
- 7:30Speaker 8: that he could see himself on the camera.
- 7:31Speaker 4: He thought he was live on the radio. And so
- 7:34Speaker 4: he was.
- 7:34Speaker 8: Like talking to the camera and was like, hey, Ricky,
- 7:36Speaker 8: and was like so excited to talk to you.
- 7:38Speaker 4: So I recorded it. If you want to hear the message.
- 7:41Speaker 5: I do want to hear.
- 7:42Speaker 3: I'm just a little nervous because, you know, you know,
- 7:44Speaker 3: a nine-year-old boy, you have no idea where this is going.
- 7:47Speaker 3: This could either be really adorable or he's.
- 7:49Speaker 5: Going to tell me he hates me.
- 7:51Speaker 4: All right, here we go. Stewart's message to Ricky.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Hey guys ricky if you are watching this please come
- 7:59Speaker 3: back and.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Take me with you.
- 8:02Speaker 5: Anything to say zach.
- 8:04Speaker 8: Why do you want to go with her you just
- 8:06Speaker 8: want to get away from me.
- 8:07Speaker 4: Don't ask questions okay.
- 8:10Speaker 7: Okay guys zach said something dumb What's new?
- 8:15Speaker 4: What do we do? So he was like pretending to do.
- 8:17Speaker 2: The radio show and resetting it.
- 8:19Speaker 4: He was hosting the show. Welcome back. Where we last
- 8:22Speaker 4: left off, Zach said something dumb. So he does listen.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Hire him.
- 8:24Speaker 4: He knows what he's talking about.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Wow.
- 8:26Speaker 5: Let's get him on the air right now. Let's hire him.
- 8:28Speaker 8: I thought it was so cute that he immediately was like,
- 8:31Speaker 8: dear Ricky.
- 8:32Speaker 5: Come back and take me with you.
- 8:35Speaker 4: Hilarious.
- 8:37Speaker 5: I'll come save you.
- 8:38Speaker 4: It was so, so cute.
- 8:40Speaker 8: But yeah, I love that he got to see the
- 8:42Speaker 8: studio and where we get to work because honestly, we
- 8:44Speaker 8: forget that people listen every day because it's just like
- 8:46Speaker 8: the three of us sitting on these four walls.
- 8:48Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 8:49Speaker 4: So it was really sweet.
- 8:51Speaker 5: It's very cute.
- 8:52Speaker 2: I remember, honestly, this is, sorry to make this about me,
- 8:54Speaker 2: but like the reason.
- 8:55Speaker 5: I What else is new?
- 8:57Speaker 2: The reason I kind of got into radio is because
- 8:59Speaker 2: my uncle was in radio, my dad's brother. So I
- 9:01Speaker 2: remember being a nine-year-old going and seeing radio stations and
- 9:04Speaker 2: it would just blow my mind. Like, it's got to
- 9:07Speaker 2: be such a cool experience for him to just be.
- 9:08Speaker 4: In there and see all of it. Ricky, did you
- 9:10Speaker 4: know that they had radio stations in the 1800s?
- 9:12Speaker 5: You know, I didn't learn that lesson. I guess now
- 9:16Speaker 5: we know.
- 9:16Speaker 4: I set myself up for it when I made your
- 9:19Speaker 4: story about me.
- 9:20Speaker 2: But the point is, it had to be very cool
- 9:22Speaker 2: for him just to be in there and see all
- 9:24Speaker 2: of it.
- 9:24Speaker 4: He did love it. Yeah, it was really sweet.
- 9:26Speaker 5: I'm also obsessed with that. And I love it as well.
- 9:29Speaker 1: So he's hired.
- 9:30Speaker 5: We're hiring him.
- 9:31Speaker 4: He's your number one fan.
- 9:32Speaker 5: I love it. I love it. I'm his number one fan.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Three things you need to know. All right.

- 11:29Speaker 3: because I know.
- 11:30Speaker 5: I used to walk like... a mile.
- 11:32Speaker 4: Get your steps in.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Through Halloween, yeah. Really get your steps in. You're hungry afterwards.
- 11:36Speaker 3: This is a way to, you know, fuel up. I'm
- 11:39Speaker 3: Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things you need
- 11:40Speaker 3: to know.
- 11:40Speaker 4: Thank you so much.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Ricky, here's Bruno Mars as we get back into the music.
- 11:44Speaker 4: We've got Blink-182, Ariana.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Grande, Sombra all on the way, plus a fact.
- 11:49Speaker 4: We're learning together next. Zach's Facts. Next time we're here.
- 11:53Speaker 4: Class is in session.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Zach's Facts. Brought to you by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 11:58Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Have you guys heard of Hector the Convector? No, but
- 12:03Speaker 2: I like that name already.
- 12:05Speaker 8: Apparently, it is a thunderstorm that happens every single day
- 12:09Speaker 8: in the Tiwi Islands in Australia. So every day around
- 12:12Speaker 8: 3 p.m. from September to March, there's a thunderstorm that
- 12:15Speaker 8: comes through and they call it Hector the Convector. And
- 12:18Speaker 8: I just love it.
- 12:20Speaker 5: Interesting. Why does that happen?
- 12:21Speaker 4: Do they know?
- 12:22Speaker 5: It's just a normal thing?
- 12:23Speaker 4: Well, you asked me a question that I didn't do
- 12:25Speaker 4: research on.
- 12:27Speaker 5: Well, I'm going to look it up later.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Go for it. Do we know what convector means? There's
- 12:32Speaker 2: your fact of the day.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Stupid little phones that are always in our hands make
- 12:39Speaker 2: it so easy to go down rabbit hole after rabbit hole.
- 12:43Speaker 4: It's 107.5, the river.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Zach said he was up all night last night.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Why?
- 12:46Speaker 4: What were you learning about? Kevin, here's the thing.
- 12:49Speaker 8: I didn't sleep all night last night because I was
- 12:51Speaker 8: looking up all of the facts about conjoined twins.
- 12:54Speaker 5: How did that rabbit hole even start?
- 12:56Speaker 8: I was, like, scrolling through Instagram before bed, like you do,
- 13:00Speaker 8: and I saw this story about.
- 13:01Speaker 4: Like, these conjoined twins that passed away.
- 13:03Speaker 8: And so, like, I had to do all of the
- 13:05Speaker 8: research about, like, how do you become a conjoined twin?
- 13:08Speaker 4: Like, how does that happen in the fetus, the womb?
- 13:12Speaker 4: Did you guys know that 75% of conjoined twins are
- 13:15Speaker 4: actually female?
- 13:16Speaker 5: I did not know that.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:18Speaker 4: Now you know. Okay.
- 13:20Speaker 5: See, the rabbit hole taught you something.
- 13:21Speaker 4: It does.
- 13:22Speaker 8: And it occurs in about one in every 50,000 births.
- 13:26Speaker 4: So pretty common.
- 13:27Speaker 5: That's, yeah. A lot more common than I thought it was.
- 13:30Speaker 4: It's kind of crazy.
- 13:31Speaker 8: I was up all night long learning all of these
- 13:33Speaker 8: facts about conjoined twins. I was so interested about like...
- 13:36Speaker 8: how they live and how their brains work, if they control, like,
- 13:40Speaker 8: each side of the body.
- 13:41Speaker 4: Like, it was so interesting to me.
- 13:42Speaker 3: This is also why they say not to look at your.
- 13:44Speaker 5: Phone in bed.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:45Speaker 5: Because this is what happens.
- 13:47Speaker 2: We should do a thing where, like, you know, whenever
- 13:49Speaker 2: Zach goes down one of these rabbit holes, the next
- 13:50Speaker 2: day he, like, prepares a presentation on the air. Like,
- 13:53Speaker 2: you know, he's up in front of the class teaching
- 13:55Speaker 2: about whatever he learned about.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Deal.
- 13:57Speaker 5: That is the scariest thought. I am not agreeing to
- 14:00Speaker 5: that whatsoever.
- 14:01Speaker 4: PowerPoint and everything.
- 14:03Speaker 5: Not agreeing to that one.
- 14:04Speaker 2: I do occasionally go down rabbit holes. I don't think
- 14:07Speaker 2: I have the attention span to really get lost in
- 14:10Speaker 2: a rabbit hole.
- 14:10Speaker 4: That's fair. I'll read a few things.
- 14:13Speaker 2: I'll watch maybe half of a video online, and then
- 14:15Speaker 2: I move on to whatever else I'm doing. But my
- 14:17Speaker 2: most recent one was about The Shining, the movie The Shining.
- 14:21Speaker 2: I never read the book, but I love the movie,
- 14:22Speaker 2: and it was on TV the other day, and then
- 14:24Speaker 2: I just started looking up all these facts about The Shining.
- 14:27Speaker 4: I'm obsessed with The Shining. Did you guys know that.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Simon Cowell was a teenager working on set of that movie?
- 14:32Speaker 2: He was He was polishing Jack Nicholson's axe in between takes.
- 14:36Speaker 4: Wait, really? Yeah, that's true. That's cool.
- 14:38Speaker 1: I know.
- 14:39Speaker 3: That's a wild connection of that area of, I guess,
- 14:45Speaker 3: just the industry.
- 14:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:47Speaker 5: That's really weird.
- 14:48Speaker 2: And, I mean, Stanley Kubrick was notorious for doing so
- 14:51Speaker 2: many takes on all of his movies.
- 14:52Speaker 4: They did the baseball bat scene 127 times.
- 14:56Speaker 3: That one is like a pretty, typically a well-known one
- 14:59Speaker 3: about The Shining.
- 15:00Speaker 5: Like, yeah, he makes people insane on set.
- 15:04Speaker 2: And they changed the room number for room 237. That's
- 15:08Speaker 2: like the scary room to avoid. They changed it because
- 15:10Speaker 2: the real hotel didn't want future guests to be scared
- 15:13Speaker 2: of an actual room they had.
- 15:15Speaker 4: So they picked a number that does not exist in
- 15:17Speaker 4: that hotel. That makes sense.
- 15:19Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 15:22Speaker 4: On 107.5 The River.
- 15:24Speaker 3: We are about to get into Kevin Mano's Game of
- 15:26Speaker 3: the Day presented by Genesis Diamonds. Don't know what it's
- 15:29Speaker 3: called yet, but you will get tickets to Steeplechase at
- 15:32Speaker 3: Percy Warner Park.
- 15:33Speaker 5: In May of next year. What is the Game of
- 15:36Speaker 5: the Day.
- 15:36Speaker 4: Called, Kevin? Well, you just mentioned it.
- 15:38Speaker 2: We've got the Steeplechase tickets, and it's Halloween week, so
- 15:42Speaker 2: I wanted to do something Halloween themed, so it's going
- 15:45Speaker 2: to be like horror movie trivia, scary movie trivia. So, Ricky,
- 15:48Speaker 2: the name of the game this week is Horror for Horsies. I.
- 15:52Speaker 3: Okay.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Okay.
- 15:59Speaker 3: I know you do this on purpose, so I'm not
- 16:01Speaker 3: giving you the satisfaction right now.
- 16:06Speaker 5: 615-737-9107 if you.
- 16:07Speaker 3: Want to play Kevin Mano's Game of the Day.
- 16:09Speaker 4: Say it, Ricky.
- 16:10Speaker 1: No. No.
- 16:12Speaker 4: Zach liked it. I liked it. I can't breathe. You
- 16:16Speaker 4: got to get two out of three of them right.
- 16:18Speaker 4: Trivia questions about scary movies. We're playing next time on River.
- 16:21Speaker 1: God. Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 16:25Speaker 4: On 107.5 The River.
- 16:26Speaker 3: We've got tickets to Steeplechase next year, May 8th of
- 16:30Speaker 3: 2027 for Kevin Mano's Game of the Day on 107.5
- 16:34Speaker 3: The River. We're playing a trivia game about.
- 16:37Speaker 5: Horror movies and spooky movies. It's called what, Kevin?
- 16:41Speaker 4: It's called Horror for Horsies. She's getting the steeplechase tickets.
- 16:46Speaker 4: We've got Amy on the line right now. Amy in Murfreesboro.
- 16:48Speaker 4: Welcome to the river. How are you?
- 16:50Speaker 5: I'm good.
- 16:51Speaker 8: How are you?
- 16:52Speaker 4: Good. We're all great. It's Halloween week.
- 16:54Speaker 2: We're excited. We're in the spirit. Do you feel like
- 16:57Speaker 2: you know a lot about scary movies?
- 16:59Speaker 6: I would say so.
- 17:01Speaker 5: Okay, good. We're going to find out.
- 17:02Speaker 4: I like the gist here.
- 17:03Speaker 2: You need to get two out of three of these
- 17:04Speaker 2: right in order to win the steeplechase tickets to go
- 17:07Speaker 2: see all the horsies, okay?
- 17:09Speaker 1: Got it.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Horror for horsies starts right now. Amy, the new Peacock
- 17:15Speaker 2: show Crystal Lake is the origin story of what iconic
- 17:20Speaker 2: horror villain?
- 17:21Speaker 4: Who is that?
- 17:28Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Oh, nothing? Nothing?
- 17:37Speaker 4: It's Jason. Jason Voorhees, the guy with the hockey mask.
- 17:40Speaker 6: You didn't know.
- 17:46Speaker 4: All right, well, you need this one to stay alive.
- 17:48Speaker 2: What 2026 horror movie, a new one, featured an item
- 17:52Speaker 2: called a one-wish willow?
- 17:54Speaker 4: What was that?
- 17:54Speaker 6: Ooh, and I just saw this one not long ago.
- 18:00Speaker 7: Obsession.
- 18:02Speaker 4: There we go.
- 18:04Speaker 5: A point on the board.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Way to go.
- 18:06Speaker 2: You need this to win or else we're saying goodbye
- 18:08Speaker 2: to our friend Amy. What movie was referenced by Blink-182
- 18:13Speaker 2: when they said, We can live like Jack and Sally
- 18:17Speaker 2: if we want. Or you can always find me and
- 18:19Speaker 2: we'll have Halloween on Christmas. What were they talking about?
- 18:23Speaker 5: Nightmare Before Christmas.
- 18:26Speaker 8: Yay!
- 18:27Speaker 4: A classic. You just won Horror for Horses.
- 18:30Speaker 2: You're going to Steeplechase at Percy Warner Park in May.
- 18:33Speaker 4: Congratulations.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Woo!
- 18:35Speaker 5: Thank you. You're welcome, Amy. Hang on the line so
- 18:38Speaker 5: we can get your info, okay? Thank you.
- 18:40Speaker 4: That was fun. I was a little nervous at first. Zach,
- 18:42Speaker 4: did you know any of those answers? Absolutely not. I
- 18:44Speaker 4: was Googling every single one of them.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Three things you need to know.
- 18:49Speaker 1: All right.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Just after 8 o'clock on this Monday morning, Ricky Sanchez
- 18:53Speaker 2: has your three things presented by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Harry Styles announced that we're getting an official music video
- 18:58Speaker 3: for his song Coming Up Roses today while performing on
- 19:02Speaker 3: Saturday at MSG. He quietly said to himself, quote, Coming
- 19:05Speaker 3: Up Roses video on Monday as he prepared to perform
- 19:09Speaker 3: the song.
- 19:09Speaker 5: There's a video of it circulating online.
- 19:11Speaker 3: It's kind of hard to hear him, but it is
- 19:13Speaker 3: not hard to hear the crowd lose their minds and
- 19:16Speaker 3: excitement about it. This song is off his fourth studio album,
- 19:20Speaker 3: Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally, and it's known as
- 19:22Speaker 3: one of the faves.
- 19:23Speaker 5: So everyone's really excited to see the music video.
- 19:26Speaker 3: IndyCar will not return to Middle Tennessee in 2027. The
- 19:30Speaker 3: NTT IndyCar series released its 2027 schedule.
- 19:34Speaker 5: National's not on it, unfortunately.
- 19:37Speaker 3: The Music City Grand Prix brought IndyCar back to Middle
- 19:39Speaker 3: Tennessee in 2021 after a 13-year absence, and it looks
- 19:43Speaker 3: like it's gone again. The organizers didn't give a reason
- 19:46Speaker 3: why in their announcement, but they did thank fans in
- 19:49Speaker 3: Middle Tennessee for for showing their love and support for
- 19:51Speaker 3: them during their time here. We'll see if maybe it
- 19:55Speaker 3: changes in the future, but it's just not happening next year.
- 19:58Speaker 3: And Prime Video, they have renewed Carrie for another season.
- 20:02Speaker 3: The show took Stephen King's classic story of Carrie and
- 20:05Speaker 3: Margaret White, and they kind of put their own spin
- 20:07Speaker 3: on it. People seem to really like it. The first
- 20:09Speaker 3: season just released on Prime a little over two weeks ago.
- 20:12Speaker 5: It really wasn't that long ago that it released. So
- 20:15Speaker 5: the fact that they're already like, yep, we're.
- 20:16Speaker 3: Getting another season means that there's something there. And season
- 20:20Speaker 3: one ended with some cliffhangers. So fans are excited to
- 20:23Speaker 3: see what happens next with the series. I'm Ricky Sanchez,
- 20:26Speaker 3: and those are the three things you need to know.
- 20:27Speaker 4: I'm excited to watch it. You haven't watched it, Ricky?
- 20:29Speaker 1: Not yet.
- 20:30Speaker 5: It's on my list.
- 20:30Speaker 4: Okay, yeah. And I know Matthew Lillard is in it,
- 20:32Speaker 4: and he's one of your guys.
- 20:33Speaker 5: And you know I love him. I'm obsessed with that man.
- 20:36Speaker 4: Well, thank you for that.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Let's play a couple of our Jingle Ball artists. 107.5
- 20:41Speaker 2: The River's Jingle Ball presented by Capital One is coming up.
- 20:43Speaker 2: We're going to play Hilary Duff in a minute here.
- 20:45Speaker 2: But first, Stella Lefty. She'll be there with us in December.
- 20:49Speaker 2: You can get your tickets at 107.5theriver.com.
- 20:50Speaker 1: On it.
- 20:52Speaker 4: For Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 20:54Speaker 3: We are so pumped for spooky season. We love spooky
- 20:56Speaker 3: season every year. Halloween is this weekend.
- 20:59Speaker 5: So we want to, you know, get in the spooky spirit.
- 21:01Speaker 3: We want to feel the Halloween vibes with your spooky stories.
- 21:05Speaker 2: Emily in Nashville is on the line. Emily, what's your
- 21:08Speaker 2: brush with the other side?
- 21:10Speaker 6: Okay, so my grandmother passed away a couple days before
- 21:14Speaker 6: my fourth birthday, so I didn't really know.
- 21:16Speaker 4: Her, only what I'd seen in pictures.
- 21:17Speaker 7: But anyway, so I was.
- 21:19Speaker 6: Probably like 9 or 10.
- 21:20Speaker 7: I was at my grandparents' house And.
- 21:22Speaker 6: My grandpa kept her room the exact.
- 21:23Speaker 5: Same from the day she passed on.
- 21:26Speaker 4: And I went to go in.
- 21:27Speaker 6: Her room and right above her bed was a floating
- 21:30Speaker 6: figure that looked just like her.
- 21:32Speaker 7: So I, of course, ran out, freaked out.
- 21:35Speaker 6: So I called my dad and he was like, well,
- 21:37Speaker 6: what did it look like? And I was like, well,
- 21:38Speaker 6: it was wearing a white dress. He told me that
- 21:41Speaker 6: my grandmother was buried in a white dress, but I
- 21:44Speaker 6: was four. So how would I, I wouldn't remember that.
- 21:46Speaker 6: I got to see my grandmother levitating in her old leather.
- 21:50Speaker 8: It's kind of creepy, but kind of sweet because you
- 21:52Speaker 8: never really like remembered having an interaction with her, but
- 21:55Speaker 8: you got to see her.
- 21:56Speaker 6: Yeah, but as a nine-year-old, it was kind of traumatizing.
- 21:59Speaker 1: In a way.
- 21:59Speaker 4: Sorry.
- 22:02Speaker 5: Zach, the way that Zach changed his tune so fast. Yeah,
- 22:05Speaker 5: you're right. Yeah, it's kind of traumatizing.
- 22:07Speaker 4: He's still kind of sweet that you got to see her. Yeah,
- 22:10Speaker 4: he's trying to put a nice spin on it.
- 22:12Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 22:13Speaker 4: Okay, well, thank you for sharing that with us.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Yeah, thank you.
- 22:16Speaker 8: You guys have a good day.
- 22:17Speaker 5: You too. I think that's pretty cool. Paige in Franklin, Kentucky,
- 22:21Speaker 5: tell us your spooky story.
- 22:24Speaker 6: Yeah, so I used to be a part of a
- 22:27Speaker 6: paranormal investigation team.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Oh, yes.
- 22:31Speaker 6: Yeah, we went all over the place. My all-time favorite
- 22:34Speaker 6: is actually right here where I live in Franklin, and
- 22:36Speaker 6: it's Octagon Hall. It's a Civil War plantation home.
- 22:41Speaker 7: And it has got the most insane history.
- 22:45Speaker 6: I've ever heard.
- 22:46Speaker 7: And I've actually been to Octagon Hall, and you stay overnight.
- 22:49Speaker 7: So we've actually been four times. The owner of it
- 22:53Speaker 7: was a pagan mason, and they actually practiced witchcraft and
- 22:58Speaker 7: paganism there. So we had a couple of different things
- 23:02Speaker 7: happen over.
- 23:03Speaker 6: The four times we were there.
- 23:04Speaker 7: We were sitting in like the video audio room and
- 23:07Speaker 7: we called it the safe room because there normally wasn't
- 23:10Speaker 7: a lot of like activity in that room. And we
- 23:12Speaker 7: always had like two people together. Like nobody was ever supposed.
- 23:15Speaker 5: To go by themselves.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 23:18Speaker 7: And there was directly behind us a staircase.
- 23:21Speaker 6: In that room that led upstairs to what they call
- 23:24Speaker 6: the girls room.
- 23:24Speaker 5: That's where the.
- 23:26Speaker 7: Daughters used to stay. And we heard two.
- 23:29Speaker 6: Little girls sounded like two different little girls.
- 23:31Speaker 7: Going, mama, mama.
- 23:33Speaker 5: No.
- 23:33Speaker 7: Yeah, it scared the crap out of me. I was like, oh,
- 23:37Speaker 7: my God. Not long after that, it was probably like
- 23:40Speaker 7: 4 o'clock in the morning, 3 o'clock, 4 o'clock in
- 23:41Speaker 7: the morning. Two or three people were sleeping on the
- 23:44Speaker 7: couches in the parlor, the living room. But apparently, come
- 23:48Speaker 7: to find out, that's also where they hosted the funeral
- 23:51Speaker 7: of the owner of the house. So we're sitting there
- 23:54Speaker 7: watching the cameras, and we saw what looked like something
- 23:57Speaker 7: crawling on the floor, and it came from the backside
- 24:00Speaker 7: of the couch all the way around.
- 24:01Speaker 3: Okay, see, you're messing with ghosts that are not happy
- 24:04Speaker 3: or nice.
- 24:05Speaker 7: We left early, and we have not been back since then.
- 24:08Speaker 7: We called it a creeper or a crawler and actually
- 24:11Speaker 7: talked to the owner afterward, and he said, yeah, it
- 24:13Speaker 7: has been getting weirder and weirder.
- 24:15Speaker 6: Oh, my God.
- 24:16Speaker 3: See, Paige, your ghosts and my ghosts are very different ghosts.
- 24:20Speaker 3: The ghosts that haunt my house, my childhood.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Home are nice.
- 24:24Speaker 4: No, that's not good. Oh, my God.
- 24:27Speaker 5: That's wild, though. Thank you for sharing that.
- 24:30Speaker 4: We haven't been back.
- 24:31Speaker 7: Yeah, of course. If you're ever up here in this area,
- 24:33Speaker 7: it is kind of cool to tour in the daylight.
- 24:34Speaker 5: Okay, yeah, daylight.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Wow, that's so interesting. I'm sure you have a million stories.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Thank you for calling.
- 24:40Speaker 4: And like Ricky said, thank you for sharing that with us.
- 24:42Speaker 6: Thanks.
- 24:43Speaker 7: Y'all have a good one.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 24:45Speaker 2: It's Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning's Word of
- 24:48Speaker 2: the Day. Today, this one comes from Zachary. Okay, your
- 24:51Speaker 2: word today is a noun.
- 24:53Speaker 1: Okay.
- 24:54Speaker 4: And the word is meldrop. Meldrop.
- 24:59Speaker 1: Meldrop.
- 25:01Speaker 4: I mean, a mic drop is like when you drop
- 25:02Speaker 4: the mic, so dropping the mel? I don't know.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Mel drop.
- 25:06Speaker 5: Dropping the mel. Can you use it in a sentence, please?
- 25:08Speaker 4: Oh, I'm so glad that you asked.
- 25:10Speaker 8: He awkwardly tried to clear his throat and brush his
- 25:13Speaker 8: face before the prominent mel drop could fall.
- 25:19Speaker 3: Prominent Mel drop?
- 25:23Speaker 2: Context clues is he cleared his throat and brushed his
- 25:26Speaker 2: face before the prominent.
- 25:28Speaker 5: Brushed his face?
- 25:29Speaker 2: Before the Mel drop could fall. Oh, have you guys
- 25:32Speaker 2: seen my face brush?
- 25:33Speaker 5: Yeah, like what? I put this hand.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Before the prominent Mel drop could fall? I mean, I
- 25:40Speaker 3: was thinking like, I was originally thinking outside, like dew
- 25:45Speaker 3: and stuff like that, like a dew drop.
- 25:47Speaker 4: Okay.
- 25:47Speaker 3: Like I was thinking that. I don't know what that
- 25:50Speaker 3: has to do with a person's face though.
- 25:52Speaker 5: That's why I'm confused.
- 25:53Speaker 4: I don't even have a guess, man. Okay, I'm going
- 25:55Speaker 4: to say crumbs.
- 25:56Speaker 1: A crumb.
- 25:57Speaker 5: Provident Mel drop.
- 25:59Speaker 8: The definition of Mel drop is a drop of mucus
- 26:02Speaker 8: or snot hanging from the tip of someone's nose.
- 26:04Speaker 5: Gross, dude.
- 26:07Speaker 1: What?
- 26:08Speaker 4: I didn't know that had a name. Well, now you know.
- 26:11Speaker 4: It's getting cold outside. You got a little Mel drop
- 26:13Speaker 4: at night.
- 26:14Speaker 5: I feel like, okay, yeah. Dew drop, Mel drop.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:19Speaker 2: I mean, I've been with my kids outside when they've
- 26:21Speaker 2: got Mel drops running down their.
- 26:22Speaker 4: Face in the winter.
- 26:25Speaker 8: See, doesn't it sound so much better than being like,
- 26:27Speaker 8: look at that snot on your nose.
- 26:29Speaker 4: It's a melt drop. Yeah, it's a cuter version.
- 26:33Speaker 5: I don't think I like it. I don't think I'm
- 26:35Speaker 5: a fan.
- 26:36Speaker 4: That was a.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Word I've never heard before. I had no clue that
- 26:39Speaker 2: had a name, a word associated with it.
- 26:41Speaker 3: It definitely feels very like 17th century.
- 26:43Speaker 4: It definitely does feel that way.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
