- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to Mark emotion only on Well, hey, we'll
- 0:07Speaker 1: get to the governor's race. We'll get to mom, Donnie.
- 0:10Speaker 1: And the shutdown looks like it's ending. It's coming to
- 0:14Speaker 1: an end. The first big vote last night. They'll have
- 0:17Speaker 1: it wrapped up, probably by Wednesday. Schumer getting a lot
- 0:20Speaker 1: of flak from Democrats. The leading Democrat right now probably
- 0:24Speaker 1: Gavin Newsom. He's the leader of the twenty twenty eight bunch,
- 0:28Speaker 1: and he tweets out just one word pathetic. Pathetic. So
- 0:34Speaker 1: they'll be coming after Schumer, which is good.
- 0:36Speaker 2: He deserves it.
- 0:37Speaker 1: And it's gonna get settled. And then like every other
- 0:43Speaker 1: shutdown we've had, how many of you have been through,
- 0:46Speaker 1: You've been through fourteen of them. You know, we'll just
- 0:49Speaker 1: forget about it. Everything, we'll get back to normal. It's
- 0:51Speaker 1: just good for the Democrats have a playbook. They all
- 0:55Speaker 1: get their assignment. If you were watching the Sunday shows yesterday,
- 0:59Speaker 1: you may have to notice that they're not only saying
- 1:03Speaker 1: the same thing, they're using these same exact phrases. It's
- 1:05Speaker 1: all coordinated. They do a conference call and it comes
- 1:10Speaker 1: from K Street in Washington, DC. All the Democrats are
- 1:12Speaker 1: given their assignment what to say on the shows, the
- 1:16Speaker 1: phrases to use one of them, which you saw every
- 1:19Speaker 1: Democrat use on the Sunday shows. Somewhere in the middle
- 1:22Speaker 1: area said if Donald Trump didn't spend all his time
- 1:24Speaker 1: on the golf course. You saw that like a fourteen
- 1:27Speaker 1: times on those Sunday shows. You heard Adam Shift said,
- 1:30Speaker 1: you heard Hakim Jeffrey said, every Democrat used that phrase. Well,
- 1:33Speaker 1: he didn't spend all his time on the golf course.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Now obviously coordinated, but also what does it mean, does
- 1:41Speaker 1: he spend all his time on the golf course. No,
- 1:43Speaker 1: obviously not. You know, he plays golf on Saturday and Sunday,
- 1:47Speaker 1: and I've played golf with him a lot of times.
- 1:50Speaker 1: He plays fast. It's not four hours, it's two hours.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Maybe it's quick. He plays quick. So you're entitled on
- 1:58Speaker 1: Saturday and Sunday to take the day off. You know,
- 2:01Speaker 1: Obama liked to play basketball. He didn't like golf. He
- 2:05Speaker 1: liked to play basketball. He even had a basketball court
- 2:08Speaker 1: put it in the White House so he could play basketball,
- 2:11Speaker 1: and Saturday and Sunday he would go on that basketball
- 2:14Speaker 1: court and play basketball. I never heard anybody say, well,
- 2:15Speaker 1: he didn't spend all this time playing basketball. Every president
- 2:19Speaker 1: does something on the weekends. Every president has a hobby
- 2:23Speaker 1: of some kind. Nixon liked to read Saturday and Sunday,
- 2:26Speaker 1: sit around and read. They didn't say, well, he didn't
- 2:29Speaker 1: spend all his time reading. You're entitled on Saturday and
- 2:32Speaker 1: Sunday to take a couple of hours on Saturday and
- 2:34Speaker 1: Sunday to do whatever your hobby is. So a crazy
- 2:38Speaker 1: talking point they were using. Nancy Pelosi is leaving. That's
- 2:42Speaker 1: the good news. The fascinating part is her amazing career
- 2:48Speaker 1: in the stock market. She is up over the last
- 2:54Speaker 1: few years. Warren Buffett, I think it's up like four
- 2:57Speaker 1: hundred percent or something. Is her portfolio. This is not
- 3:01Speaker 1: a joke. Her portfolio is up seventeen thousand percent. Seventeen
- 3:06Speaker 1: thousand percent. That's the greatest ever trading record in the
- 3:11Speaker 1: history of the stock exchange. Nobody has ever been up
- 3:14Speaker 1: like that, No hedge fund, no anybody. Now, obviously she
- 3:17Speaker 1: did it with insider trading. When you are in Congress,
- 3:22Speaker 1: you get access to all kinds of information before anybody else.
- 3:26Speaker 1: You know what company's going to get a ruling against them,
- 3:29Speaker 1: what company's going to get a ruling for them, and
- 3:32Speaker 1: you can trade based on that. It's legal. I don't
- 3:35Speaker 1: know how this ever happened, but it's legal for people
- 3:37Speaker 1: in Congress to engage in insider trading. It's got to
- 3:41Speaker 1: be outlawed. But the only people can outlawd the congressmen themselves.
- 3:44Speaker 1: So Pelosi was the king, the queen of insider trading.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Her portfolio is up seventeen thousand percent. She's made hundreds
- 3:53Speaker 1: of millions of dollars in Congress. She was asked about
- 3:56Speaker 1: it over.
- 3:56Speaker 3: The first of your career.
- 3:57Speaker 4: Has her husband ever maybe stock purchaser saleb some information
- 4:00Speaker 4: you received from you?
- 4:01Speaker 5: No?
- 4:02Speaker 1: Absolutely not, no, No, you're up seventeen thousand percent. Did
- 4:07Speaker 1: you use your insider note? No, no, no, just shere
- 4:13Speaker 1: brilliance on her part, But it's done all the time,
- 4:16Speaker 1: not on a smaller scale. You got this new Jersey
- 4:18Speaker 1: governor elect, Mikey Cheryl, who's brand new, just started. But
- 4:23Speaker 1: in her brief little time in Congress, she somehow made
- 4:26Speaker 1: seven million trading stock, just like that seven million, And
- 4:31Speaker 1: our friend down the hall there, Charlemagne, asked her, but
- 4:35Speaker 1: did you make seven million trading stocks?
- 4:37Speaker 6: There is no individual stock trading. It's not as if
- 4:40Speaker 6: I go sit on the House Arm Service Committee and
- 4:42Speaker 6: suddenly I'm trading Boeing or something. There's none of that.
- 4:45Speaker 6: I'm totally out of individual stocks. And I, like I said,
- 4:48Speaker 6: I think every member of Congress.
- 4:50Speaker 3: Shall be well, did you make seven million in stock
- 4:52Speaker 3: trees at all? Well?
- 4:54Speaker 1: I haven't.
- 4:57Speaker 6: I don't believe I did, but I'd have to go
- 5:00Speaker 6: see what that was alluding to it.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Now, you know how much money you got to have
- 5:05Speaker 1: to not notice if you've made seven million to not
- 5:09Speaker 1: notice seven million showing up in your bank account or
- 5:12Speaker 1: your your stock account. If you didn't notice seven million,
- 5:16Speaker 1: you got to be worth hundreds of millions not to
- 5:19Speaker 1: notice seven million. I mean, if you're Elon Musk and
- 5:23Speaker 1: an extra seven million showed up in your stock portfolio,
- 5:26Speaker 1: you might not note. Who's going to notice you got
- 5:27Speaker 1: five hundred billion. Who's gonna know a seven million? But
- 5:31Speaker 1: she didn't notice the seven million? Anyway. Hey, the good
- 5:35Speaker 1: news is there's some indictments coming. The grand jury approved
- 5:39Speaker 1: subpoenas for John Brennan, the dirty former CIA director. But
- 5:44Speaker 1: it looks like they're going after Strack and Page all
- 5:46Speaker 1: the people that did that. Disgusting Russia witch hunt hoax.
- 5:51Speaker 1: One by one. They'll be going after all of them.
- 5:53Speaker 1: So that's that's good news. Expect that pretty soon. So
- 5:57Speaker 1: the race for governor, you got HOCl in trouble. Obviously,
- 6:02Speaker 1: people can't stand Hokel and she's embracing Mamdannie. You know,
- 6:07Speaker 1: they had that big Democrat conference in Puerto Rico. They
- 6:10Speaker 1: called the somos whatever that stands for, but it's basically
- 6:14Speaker 1: they say it's to relax in a conference. It's a
- 6:18Speaker 1: conference when they're all to talk to each other. But
- 6:20Speaker 1: as Curtis would say, it's whining, dining, and pocket lining
- 6:25Speaker 1: kind of a deal. And they had to do a
- 6:29Speaker 1: couple of joint appearances and Hokel was all over Mam Donnie,
- 6:32Speaker 1: introducing them, praising them, holding hands with him. So you'll
- 6:36Speaker 1: see Stephanic, at least Stephonic running against Nancy Hokeel Kathy
- 6:43Speaker 1: Hochel for governor. This could be an interesting race.
- 6:46Speaker 4: This is a toxic governor who has a record of
- 6:49Speaker 4: delivering the highest taxes in the nation, of hurting hard
- 6:52Speaker 4: working New Yorkers, of turning her back on law enforcement
- 6:55Speaker 4: officers and small businesses. New York is in catastrophe because
- 6:59Speaker 4: of Kathy Hochel's lead readership.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Nastophonic, she's Ferosias going after HOCl and she's going to
- 7:04Speaker 1: time the Mom.
- 7:04Speaker 4: Donnie, this was not a mandate, even though Mom Dommi
- 7:07Speaker 4: is claiming such. He barely got over fifty percent, So
- 7:10Speaker 4: that is really a historically low performance for someone who
- 7:13Speaker 4: won the Democrat primary. That means nearly half of New
- 7:16Speaker 4: York City voters, which is traditionally a Democrat city, voted
- 7:19Speaker 4: against Mom Dommi because they know he is so radical,
- 7:22Speaker 4: he's out of touch with hard working families, with small
- 7:25Speaker 4: businesses who are already crushed by the highest taxes in
- 7:29Speaker 4: the nation.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Yeah, she's right, Mom, Donnie. He did get a majority
- 7:33Speaker 1: fifty point four percent, but remember he was up against
- 7:38Speaker 1: the biggest loser in the world, Andrew Cuomo. Curtis was
- 7:41Speaker 1: a good candidate, but remember everybody on earth, every major figure,
- 7:46Speaker 1: was telling you not to vote for Curtis, so nobody
- 7:49Speaker 1: could have I mean, there's nobody in the history of
- 7:51Speaker 1: an election they ever had to shoot greased for them
- 7:54Speaker 1: more than Cuomo. I mean, the runway was cleared for
- 7:57Speaker 1: him and he still couldn't pull it off. So that's
- 8:00Speaker 1: how Mam Donnie Won. Stephanic will be a big, big,
- 8:04Speaker 1: tough challenger to Hochell.
- 8:05Speaker 4: She's an accidental governor. She's only in this position because
- 8:09Speaker 4: she was Cuomo's lieutenant governor and when New Yorkers were
- 8:12Speaker 4: looking for strong leadership from a governor. Not to bend
- 8:15Speaker 4: the knee to Zorn Mamdami, Kathy Hochel Benthany, Why did
- 8:19Speaker 4: she do that? Because she is hemorrhaging support even in
- 8:22Speaker 4: her own party among Democrats.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Yeah, now she's going to have a lot of people
- 8:26Speaker 1: going after But who's going to go after her? Aoc Well,
- 8:29Speaker 1: a lot of people don't take her seriously. Schumer is
- 8:31Speaker 1: an old, dried up fossil Hakeem Jefferies. He talks like
- 8:35Speaker 1: a robot. He talks as he's such a robotic guy.
- 8:37Speaker 1: He's already going after Stephanic.
- 8:39Speaker 7: You know, at least Stephonic is nothing more than a
- 8:41Speaker 7: handmaiden for Donald Trump's extreme policy. She's a sickophant who
- 8:46Speaker 7: has been a repeated rubber stamp for Donald Trump's extreme agenda.
- 8:52Speaker 1: He's he's one of those guys on the conference call.
- 8:54Speaker 1: He repeats whatever he's told to. If the President didn't
- 8:57Speaker 1: spend all his time on a golf course. Blah blah
- 8:59Speaker 1: blah knows she's supposed to use the word extreme. President
- 9:02Speaker 1: Trump's extreme agenda with his extreme policies is extreme, Maga
- 9:06Speaker 1: extreme magit. What is so extreme? What extreme policies? What's
- 9:11Speaker 1: the most extreme thing? What ice simply enforcing the law?
- 9:15Speaker 1: Following the law? That's extreme? Since when there'll be ads
- 9:20Speaker 1: against Hochel.
- 9:20Speaker 5: Now Elist Devonic is running for governor of New York
- 9:24Speaker 5: to do what he's.
- 9:25Speaker 1: This is a this is a hocal ad. This is
- 9:27Speaker 1: Hokal's actually used against Tefonic.
- 9:29Speaker 5: Now Elist Devonic is running for governor of New York
- 9:32Speaker 5: to do what she's always done. Put Trump first. She
- 9:36Speaker 5: is phenomenal, She is a friend of mine, phenomenal at
- 9:39Speaker 5: putting Trump ahead of you.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Oh my god, she knows Trump. That's going to be
- 9:44Speaker 1: their whole campaign. So here's the problem for Republicans. You're
- 9:48Speaker 1: going to have possibly a big primary because Bruce Blakeman,
- 9:51Speaker 1: the brilliant county executive, best county executive in America Nassau County.
- 9:56Speaker 1: I hear he wants to run. So if he runs
- 10:00Speaker 1: against Stephonic, that is one tough choice. Stephonic everybody loves
- 10:04Speaker 1: she's a pit bull. She's great. But it's Blakeman who's
- 10:07Speaker 1: the actual executive, who has actual management experience running a county,
- 10:11Speaker 1: which is like being the governor of Nassau County. So
- 10:15Speaker 1: he's the guy with more experience. He's the best county executive.
- 10:17Speaker 1: He'd be a great governor. That's a tough choice. That's
- 10:21Speaker 1: a very very tough primary. Now, Stephanic would probably do
- 10:25Speaker 1: better upstate because she's got that kind of an upstate
- 10:29Speaker 1: kind of a sound, and she talks kind of fashions.
- 10:31Speaker 1: She's very upstate. Bruce Blakeman is more of a sophisticated
- 10:34Speaker 1: city slicker type of guy. But half the votes for
- 10:38Speaker 1: governor are right here in New York City. You got
- 10:39Speaker 1: to do really well in New York City. I would
- 10:42Speaker 1: imagine Blakeman does much better in New York City than Stefanic.
- 10:47Speaker 1: He'd have to go upstate and campaign, but got a
- 10:50Speaker 1: hell of a hell of a resume. But this is
- 10:52Speaker 1: a really tough one for Republicans, a really tough primary
- 10:57Speaker 1: coming up next year. Hey, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,
- 11:02Speaker 1: you know it gets tough. They've cleaned it up. It's
- 11:05Speaker 1: a much better Rock and Roll Hall of Fame now
- 11:06Speaker 1: than it was a few years ago. But it's tough
- 11:09Speaker 1: with you. Like in the year, you know, the first
- 11:11Speaker 1: year rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Elvis Beatles. You know,
- 11:13Speaker 1: you put everybody in, but when you get the year
- 11:16Speaker 1: forty five, you know you're starting to run out of people.
- 11:18Speaker 1: So it was it was a bad company. I mean
- 11:23Speaker 1: they were okay, bad company, but rock and Roll Hall
- 11:26Speaker 1: of Fame. But then you got to perform the Hits
- 11:30Speaker 1: A bad company, It's okay. I mean they're not the Beatles,
- 11:33Speaker 1: the bad company. They're at the Rolling Stones. You know,
- 11:37Speaker 1: you're thirty seven, you run out of pa Hey, we
- 11:39Speaker 1: love Cyndi Lauper. Who could not like Cyndi Lapper she
- 11:41Speaker 1: got in.
- 11:42Speaker 8: I know that I stand on the shoulders of the
- 11:45Speaker 8: women in the industry that came before me, and my
- 11:49Speaker 8: shoulders are broad enough to have the women that come
- 11:53Speaker 8: after me stand online. And and yeah, it's that I
- 12:00Speaker 8: thought was really important, which is why I really came
- 12:03Speaker 8: here tonight, is to tell you that the little kid
- 12:08Speaker 8: and me still believes that rock and roll can save
- 12:13Speaker 8: the world. So I just want to say, now, of
- 12:17Speaker 8: all times, let's come together again and do good in
- 12:22Speaker 8: the world because it needs us.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll get right on that, but we love her.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Then they got a lot of great performances on the
- 12:30Speaker 1: show to be you know, tightened up, edited down, be
- 12:33Speaker 1: a great TV special. Elton John performed, Elton John did
- 12:39Speaker 1: the Beach Boys hit. Elton John still sounds good. He
- 12:42Speaker 1: lost a lot of rains in his voice, but still
- 12:43Speaker 1: sounds good. David Letterman there, Santa Claus himself. Warren Zevon
- 12:49Speaker 1: gave Letteriman his guitar. I guess he knew he was
- 12:54Speaker 1: didn't have much longer to go and told Letterman to
- 12:56Speaker 1: take care of it. He brought it to the ceremony.
- 12:58Speaker 1: It was used and one of the Sun's Well, here's
- 13:01Speaker 1: let him in on that show.
- 13:02Speaker 8: And then the thing about enjoy every sandwich. You know
- 13:05Speaker 8: that that's easy, but it's deeply meaningful.
- 13:08Speaker 1: And there's not a person in this room who hasn't
- 13:10Speaker 1: considered that. But nobody can hang on to that on
- 13:14Speaker 1: a daily basis. But by God, isn't that true of
- 13:17Speaker 1: life around the planet. Yeah, I don't know what he's
- 13:20Speaker 1: talking about, but it sounds good. But the beard, the beard,
- 13:23Speaker 1: I don't know. He said he has that beard because
- 13:25Speaker 1: he doesn't want you to ever confuse him with the
- 13:27Speaker 1: old David Letterman. He's like a new, different guy. All right, Hey,
- 13:31Speaker 1: Mom Donnie is putting together his team. The five or
- 13:36Speaker 1: six names we've seen already are all ex Deblasio administration.
- 13:39Speaker 1: One is from the Adams administration. So it's gonna be bad.
- 13:43Speaker 1: But again, if it's all these Deblasio people picking de
- 13:46Speaker 1: Blasio administration people, we got through eight years at the Blasia.
- 13:50Speaker 1: We'll get through this. Now here's the interesting part. Brad Lander,
- 13:54Speaker 1: who's a really awful, awful guy. You saw him in
- 13:57Speaker 1: the primaries, really kooky, left wing, disgusting. He's Jewish, but
- 14:01Speaker 1: he embraced every anti Semitic, stupid, anti Israel thing in
- 14:06Speaker 1: the world. So people really just came to really dislike
- 14:10Speaker 1: brad Lander. But he was a big help to Mom
- 14:13Speaker 1: Donnie in the primary. But they've made it clear no
- 14:17Speaker 1: brad Lander in the administration. He's out. They have kicked
- 14:20Speaker 1: him to the curb. So there's one good thing Mom
- 14:23Speaker 1: Donnie has done. Why would he do that?
- 14:27Speaker 2: Is he just so?
- 14:29Speaker 1: Does he not have any gratitude? Is he not loyal? Well,
- 14:33Speaker 1: people said that behind the scenes brad Lander who's an
- 14:35Speaker 1: obnoxious guy, really obnoxious guy, they say behind the scenes.
- 14:39Speaker 1: He was running around telling everybody he'll be running city hall.
- 14:42Speaker 1: He'll be running things in a Mam Donnie, Well it
- 14:45Speaker 1: got back to mom, Donnie. Brad Lander is out, so
- 14:48Speaker 1: that's good. Hey, we'll take some calls in a minute.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten, always ahead
- 15:00Speaker 1: of the news. Here's more Marks imone on seven to ten.
- 15:04Speaker 8: Wo r Oh my.
- 15:06Speaker 1: God, what's going on? I just heard Andy Williams and
- 15:09Speaker 1: Jose Peliciano and Christmphy music. And the tree is up
- 15:12Speaker 1: in Rockefeller Center. No lights on it yet. They got
- 15:15Speaker 1: a decorate hive, but they actually put it up Saturday.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Let's take some calls. Let's go to Mike and Florida. Mike,
- 15:21Speaker 1: how you doing. Good morning, Mark, that's Mike.
- 15:25Speaker 9: I think it's pretty obvious that the governor's race it's
- 15:28Speaker 9: going to be hulcal slamming Trump and Stephanic trying to
- 15:34Speaker 9: slam Mandani. By the way, she should pronounce his name right,
- 15:37Speaker 9: because as trivial as it is, it sounds they'll hammer
- 15:40Speaker 9: her for it.
- 15:41Speaker 1: But I think right, yeah, wa Al Sharpton would say
- 15:44Speaker 1: to go Mam Damn.
- 15:45Speaker 9: Yeah, I like that. That's okay with me. But right
- 15:49Speaker 9: now Trump's name is more toxic than Mom Danny's, and
- 15:52Speaker 9: it's unfortunate, and I think Stephonic will run away from Trump.
- 15:56Speaker 9: And Hulk mentioned Trump's name in every sentence of every
- 15:59Speaker 9: speed each makes, and I think it's really a problem
- 16:03Speaker 9: for Stephanic.
- 16:04Speaker 1: I don't know, a year from now, you're gonna be
- 16:06Speaker 1: better being linked to Trump than to Mom Donnie and.
- 16:10Speaker 9: Your mouth to God's ears, I hope.
- 16:12Speaker 1: So all right, thanks for Colin. Yeah, yes, you will
- 16:15Speaker 1: be linked to Bray. Bruce Blakeman and Trump been very
- 16:18Speaker 1: good friends, very close. Trump's a big Bruce Blakeman supporter,
- 16:21Speaker 1: so they'll have the same problem too. Let's go to
- 16:24Speaker 1: uh Nat in New Hyde Park, Nat. How you doing good?
- 16:29Speaker 2: Good?
- 16:29Speaker 10: A great show, Mark as usual. I learned more from
- 16:33Speaker 10: you than everybody else.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Really, we're gonna send you a bill for tuition. We're
- 16:38Speaker 1: gonna be like Harvard. We're gonna charge you at ninety
- 16:40Speaker 1: five thousand this semester.
- 16:42Speaker 10: Go ahead, okay, anyway, I think Stephanic should go up
- 16:46Speaker 10: the Schumer's seat. I think she could easily beat AOC,
- 16:49Speaker 10: and I think she would make a great senator. And
- 16:52Speaker 10: I think Blakeman would be a much better governor.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what, that's a very very good point.
- 16:59Speaker 1: That's an excellent point. With Schumer running, you know, nobody
- 17:03Speaker 1: could ever run against him. Had The problem is when
- 17:06Speaker 1: he was in the race, the big Republican donors all
- 17:09Speaker 1: wanted him because he that's Schumer's main business donor favors.
- 17:13Speaker 1: He takes care of the donors. So the Republicans everybody
- 17:17Speaker 1: got behind Schumer. With him out of the race, AOC
- 17:20Speaker 1: is not big on those donor favors. For the first time,
- 17:22Speaker 1: a Republican would have a shot. It's a statewide race,
- 17:25Speaker 1: so Republican would have a shot. Stephani would be great
- 17:27Speaker 1: a senator. You're right, that's a good, good idea. Let's
- 17:31Speaker 1: go to Vincent and Brooklyn.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Vincent, how you doing, Good morning, Mark, I'm okay, Good morning, Mara. Mark.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Did you see that photo op that Mandami took with
- 17:40Speaker 2: his transition team the day after the election? Those women,
- 17:45Speaker 2: it looked like it was the escape from the dog pound?
- 17:48Speaker 2: Should hand out leashes the dog pound mob? Everybody talking
- 17:57Speaker 2: about Trump playing golf, well, at least he's playing golf
- 18:01Speaker 2: on golf courses that he built with his own money
- 18:06Speaker 2: and his own construction company, whereas Obama was playing basketball
- 18:12Speaker 2: at the White House on a two hundred and fifty
- 18:14Speaker 2: million dollar basketball court that we, the sucker citizens, paid for.
- 18:20Speaker 2: So these people better get their fact straight. Trump is
- 18:23Speaker 2: playing on two hours a week, which is actually good
- 18:28Speaker 2: physical exercise for a man like him, and we are
- 18:33Speaker 2: getting sucking for the bill of Obama's basketball court. Marking
- 18:39Speaker 2: the business pages of The New York Post yesterday, Charlie
- 18:42Speaker 2: Gasparino had a good article about Zoramondami style alleged takeover everything.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Thank god, in nineteen seventy five, you carry and feelix
- 18:55Speaker 2: Rohatan they played put in this law called the Financial
- 19:00Speaker 2: Emergency Act of nineteen seventy five, most of the TATS revenue,
- 19:05Speaker 2: since New York is already on the water, any new
- 19:08Speaker 2: tax revenue, the bond holders guy first DIBs on it,
- 19:12Speaker 2: not Mandanmi. He doesn't realize. He doesn't realize that a
- 19:16Speaker 2: lot of the things he's claiming he's gonna do.
- 19:18Speaker 1: And also he knows he can't do. But you're right, Vincent,
- 19:21Speaker 1: great call is always great point. Yeah, check out that article.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Charlie Gasprino points. I remember New York almost went bankrupt
- 19:27Speaker 1: and the bond holders that Arrescue will carry, and those
- 19:31Speaker 1: guys put in some real protections against the mom. Donnie.
- 19:35Speaker 1: You might not have realized at the time how important
- 19:37Speaker 1: it was, but it's going to come into play now
- 19:39Speaker 1: to prevent Mamdanni from doing anything too crazy. Hey, when
- 19:42Speaker 1: we come back, Miranda Divine will be with us. The
- 19:45Speaker 1: Great Columnists coming up next on seven to ten WR.
- 19:49Speaker 4: Now back to the Mont Simon Show on WR.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Well, Miranda Divine the biggest and best columnist around. You
- 19:57Speaker 1: can read a column in The New York Post, make Sure,
- 20:00Speaker 1: or an excellent podcast. It's called Pod Force one, Great
- 20:05Speaker 1: guests every week. Podforce one is available wherever you get podcasts,
- 20:08Speaker 1: and get her latest book, The Big Guys. Whether she's
- 20:11Speaker 1: written some great bestsellers. Miranda Devine, how you doing?
- 20:16Speaker 3: Hey? Thanks so much, Mike, I'm great.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Hey. I love this column about Michelle Obama. What is
- 20:22Speaker 1: she doing? She's been on this whining tour complaining about
- 20:25Speaker 1: how bad America was to her? What is that? What
- 20:28Speaker 1: got into her?
- 20:31Speaker 3: Well? My personal theory is that her complaints are just
- 20:36Speaker 3: so absurd. You know, she says it was such a
- 20:39Speaker 3: burden to have hair and makeup and fashion stylists when
- 20:43Speaker 3: she was at the White House, and you know how
- 20:46Speaker 3: tough life was. I just think that she's trying to
- 20:50Speaker 3: portray herself as a victim because now that the Commings
- 20:54Speaker 3: are in charge of her husband's party, she has to
- 20:58Speaker 3: kind of stop them asking why she has so many
- 21:01Speaker 3: mansions and try and make them feel sorry for her.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Ah, that's a good point, but her complaining somebody who
- 21:10Speaker 1: has a multiple twenty five million dollar mansions and flying
- 21:14Speaker 1: around in private jets all over the place. But it's
- 21:18Speaker 1: tough for people like her and Bill Clinton and to
- 21:22Speaker 1: go back to obscurity, isn't it. They just can't get
- 21:26Speaker 1: off the stage.
- 21:28Speaker 3: So hard for them. You know, my heart bleeds. We've
- 21:32Speaker 3: got Nancy Pelosi's the other one. She's decided, at the
- 21:35Speaker 3: grand old age of eighty five, that she might decide
- 21:38Speaker 3: to retire in a couple of years. And I think
- 21:43Speaker 3: that she's doing it just in the nick of time
- 21:46Speaker 3: before Zoram, you know, tax the rich Mam Danny and
- 21:50Speaker 3: his crew take over the party and start asking questions
- 21:55Speaker 3: about her little one hundred and forty million dollar hall
- 21:59Speaker 3: that she dragging away from her stock tips, very very prescient,
- 22:05Speaker 3: her little little, you know, stock market portfolio.
- 22:11Speaker 1: That's a very interesting theory that all of these dirty
- 22:14Speaker 1: politicians are going into hiding before the Communists take over.
- 22:18Speaker 1: But Mamdani so far, the people he's chosen Transition team others,
- 22:23Speaker 1: they're all extra Blasio people. So we got through Deblasio
- 22:27Speaker 1: for eight years. We'll get through this, won't we.
- 22:32Speaker 3: Look, the problem is, I think Deblasio was always high
- 22:38Speaker 3: and late to work and I'm off going to his
- 22:42Speaker 3: gym in Brooklyn, and you know, he just didn't do
- 22:45Speaker 3: a lot, and so he still created Mayhem and the
- 22:49Speaker 3: city just went downhill. So palpably on his watch. But
- 22:55Speaker 3: Mamdani is more of an ideologue. You know, he's more determined,
- 22:59Speaker 3: he has more energy. He really wants to shake up
- 23:04Speaker 3: the place. And that's what I worry about. And the
- 23:07Speaker 3: other thing is that with Deblasia, we're coming off a
- 23:12Speaker 3: pretty good level. You know, it was the Rudy Giuliani
- 23:15Speaker 3: Bloomberg City, and so there was a long way to fall.
- 23:19Speaker 3: But we don't have a long way to fall anymore.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Before we're just off the planet. The city is already
- 23:27Speaker 3: difficult to live in. Eric Adams has sort of arrested
- 23:30Speaker 3: the decline a little bit, but once he's gone, you know,
- 23:35Speaker 3: we're going to have violence interrupters, social workers in lord police.
- 23:41Speaker 3: And already we have governors from red states like Ronda
- 23:46Speaker 3: Santis in Florida putting out feelers for our NYPD officers.
- 23:52Speaker 3: They're going to give them bonuses if they move, and
- 23:56Speaker 3: I think it's very difficult for them not to sort
- 23:59Speaker 3: of accept, you know, the good ones anyway, not to
- 24:02Speaker 3: accept those bribes to leave New York.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Hey, Miranda Devine does an excellent podcast, one of the
- 24:09Speaker 1: best podcasts out there. It's called Podforce one. The latest
- 24:13Speaker 1: one is Eric Trump Boy. That was interesting. Tell us
- 24:15Speaker 1: about your impressions of Eric Trump.
- 24:19Speaker 3: He is just a really delightful person. And I guess
- 24:22Speaker 3: the big takeout I get from all of the Trump
- 24:27Speaker 3: five children is just how well adjusted and kind of
- 24:31Speaker 3: decent they are. Eric Trump is really, as your father
- 24:36Speaker 3: calls him, a good boy. And he described his childhood.
- 24:40Speaker 3: His mother, Ivana Trump, was really tough. She was, you know,
- 24:48Speaker 3: check from basically behind the iron curtain.
- 24:52Speaker 10: She was a champion.
- 24:53Speaker 3: Skier and so she really ruled their family with iron discipline.
- 25:00Speaker 3: And what Eric said was, if it got past my
- 25:05Speaker 3: mum to my father, you knew were really in trouble.
- 25:08Speaker 3: But it really didn't because she just made sure that
- 25:12Speaker 3: all those energetic kids with type A personalities that Eric
- 25:17Speaker 3: describes them were held in line. And their father also
- 25:22Speaker 3: during the holidays, got them to go and work on
- 25:25Speaker 3: his various construction sites for minimum wage. And Eric said
- 25:30Speaker 3: he absolutely loved it, like he loved working with his hands,
- 25:34Speaker 3: like they were absolutely exhausted by the end of the day.
- 25:37Speaker 3: And his father also said no drinking, no smoking, no drugs,
- 25:44Speaker 3: and that was the one ironclad rule for the family.
- 25:47Speaker 3: And Eric said, look, by the end of the workday,
- 25:49Speaker 3: we were so exhausted, and we also knew how hard
- 25:54Speaker 3: it had been to earn that twenty bucks that we
- 25:58Speaker 3: you know, he said, I just didn't want to spend
- 26:00Speaker 3: on a slab of beer. And he also said that,
- 26:04Speaker 3: you know, he went to all the best schools, colleges, etc.
- 26:07Speaker 3: And he said most of his peers ended up in
- 26:11Speaker 3: rehab or some sort of problem because they had too
- 26:15Speaker 3: much time and too much money.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a fascinating podcast, Go listen to its pod
- 26:21Speaker 1: Force one. Miranda Divine's podcast latest episode is Eric Trump.
- 26:25Speaker 1: So you wrote the definitive book on Hunter Biden. So
- 26:28Speaker 1: are you saying Eric Trump was a little better raised
- 26:31Speaker 1: than Hunter was.
- 26:34Speaker 3: Yes, yes, far better. And look, I don't blame Hunter honestly.
- 26:39Speaker 3: His father is just the most treacherous and dishonest politician
- 26:47Speaker 3: I think I have ever encountered, and deeply selfish. And
- 26:51Speaker 3: so when you know that great tragedy happened in Hunter's
- 26:55Speaker 3: life where his mother who was killed in a car crash,
- 26:58Speaker 3: and his little sister died as well, and he and
- 27:02Speaker 3: his brother were in the back seat quite badly injured.
- 27:06Speaker 3: His father had just been elected to the Senate in
- 27:09Speaker 3: a fluke, and he could have forgone that great opportunity
- 27:17Speaker 3: to stay at home and look after his kids, but
- 27:19Speaker 3: he didn't. And I think all of Hunter's problems stemmed
- 27:24Speaker 3: from that. He was brought up. You know, his aunt
- 27:26Speaker 3: was very decent, his uncle, extended family brought him up,
- 27:30Speaker 3: and Joe would come home, he claimed every night on
- 27:34Speaker 3: the Amtrak of I hear other stories that when he
- 27:38Speaker 3: did come home, it was too late to do anything
- 27:41Speaker 3: other than, you know, looking on them when they slept.
- 27:44Speaker 3: But anyway, I just don't think he was a very
- 27:48Speaker 3: good father. And you know, poor poor Hunter, this motherless kid.
- 27:57Speaker 3: And then his stepmother Jill Biden, when she came on
- 28:00Speaker 3: the scene a few years later, when she was already
- 28:03Speaker 3: on the scene, but when she married Joe moved in,
- 28:08Speaker 3: Hunter just felt she didn't like him, and so that
- 28:11Speaker 3: was another burden to put up with. So and then
- 28:14Speaker 3: his father, you know, instead of letting him be an
- 28:16Speaker 3: author or an artist, which is what he wanted, his
- 28:19Speaker 3: father made him be the bag man for the family
- 28:21Speaker 3: and going to business. And he didn't really want to
- 28:25Speaker 3: do that. So you can hardly you can sort of
- 28:28Speaker 3: understand why he fell into drugs.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Yes, that's pretty interesting, and you have a good heart
- 28:37Speaker 1: and a good amount of sympathy for him. You should
- 28:40Speaker 1: get her book, Laptop from Hell and The Big Guy,
- 28:44Speaker 1: the two best books on the Biden family. So, hey,
- 28:49Speaker 1: we only got a minute left. Tell me you brought
- 28:50Speaker 1: this up last time. This was so fascinating. I got
- 28:53Speaker 1: so much reaction to this. The reason for the Trump
- 28:55Speaker 1: to arrangements in him, the reason they hate him so much.
- 28:57Speaker 1: It's what was it? You said? It was the masky
- 29:00Speaker 1: He's like a daddy why do they hate him so much?
- 29:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it really is deranged. It really seems
- 29:10Speaker 3: to be a psychological problem, and women are particularly afflicted,
- 29:15Speaker 3: and it just seems like they have daddy problems. You know,
- 29:19Speaker 3: he is unabashedly a throwback masculine, you know, something that
- 29:25Speaker 3: the left has been trying to stab out for the
- 29:28Speaker 3: last twenty years, calling it toxic masculinity, making little boys
- 29:33Speaker 3: be ashamed of their intrinsic natures, which you know, those
- 29:37Speaker 3: intrinsic natures that would have allowed civilization to survive human flourishing.
- 29:44Speaker 3: And you know, you stamp out strong men, what do
- 29:47Speaker 3: you get? You get a lot of toxic females. And
- 29:50Speaker 3: I think that's what trump derangements and joy me. I mean,
- 29:53Speaker 3: I write about Jennifer Welsh, who's this atheist podcaster I
- 29:57Speaker 3: had never heard of until just recently been elevated as
- 30:01Speaker 3: the kind of Democrats answer to Joe Rogan. And she
- 30:05Speaker 3: is the most toxic person I have ever seen in
- 30:09Speaker 3: my life, really, just so such a self hating white woman.
- 30:15Speaker 3: She was there at Mamdani's victory party and she's just
- 30:19Speaker 3: going on about she's talking to two non white people
- 30:24Speaker 3: who lefties and she's just talking about how, oh, if
- 30:28Speaker 3: there were white people here at this party, the music
- 30:31Speaker 3: would be terrible, and Americans have no culture, and we
- 30:35Speaker 3: need to teach the crusty old white people about culture.
- 30:39Speaker 3: We have to teach them. She's just scary, scary woman.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Wow. Well, Miranda Divine, brilliant as always. Get her podcast.
- 30:48Speaker 1: You got to listen to this podcast every week. It's
- 30:50Speaker 1: a pod force one. Wherever you get your podcast reader columns,
- 30:53Speaker 1: the New York Post, make sure you get her latest book,
- 30:55Speaker 1: The Big Guy. Fascinating stuff about the Bidens. Miranda Devine. Thanks,
- 31:00Speaker 1: we'll talk again soon.
- 31:03Speaker 3: Thanks Mack, You're very kind.
- 31:04Speaker 1: All right, take care. Hey, don't forget Buck and Clay.
- 31:07Speaker 1: They do a wonderful show every day noon to three.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Then at three o'clock you got the most listened to
- 31:12Speaker 1: radio show in America, Sean Hannity. I'll be a guest
- 31:16Speaker 1: somewhere today, I think in the final hour on the
- 31:19Speaker 1: Sean Hannity Show. And then you got Jesse Kelly at
- 31:21Speaker 1: six and Jimmy Fayla. Boy, what a great show every
- 31:24Speaker 1: night nine to midnight. It's all right here on seven
- 31:28Speaker 1: to ten. Wr back to Marsham on wor well, we're
- 31:36Speaker 1: out of time. Hey, don't forget. Tomorrow is Veterans Day
- 31:40Speaker 1: and the parade is tomorrow Veterans Day Parade. It's on
- 31:43Speaker 1: Fifth Avenue. It goes from about twenty fifth Street to
- 31:46Speaker 1: about forty fifth Street, so it's gonna be a traffic mess.
- 31:50Speaker 1: I'll be on the Sean Handity Show later today, I
- 31:52Speaker 1: think in the final hour. Otherwise, I'll be back tomorrow
