- 0:34Speaker 1: Trey Trenholm, Raj Sharma, and because it is Freddy, we've
- 0:42Speaker 1: got Jerry Caldwell in the treehouse with us as well.
- 0:48Speaker 1: It is November eighth, twenty twenty four, Friday. There there's
- 0:54Speaker 1: two inside of thirty seconds for you, Raja and he
- 0:56Speaker 1: you love Me singing Friday ad. I want to waste
- 1:00Speaker 1: absolutely zero time because it's Friday and we have a
- 1:04Speaker 1: jam packed fun show for you. I want to start
- 1:07Speaker 1: with I think what may be my favorite news story
- 1:10Speaker 1: of the week. Okay, here we go, and if we're
- 1:14Speaker 1: being honest, it's been a big week for news, right,
- 1:18Speaker 1: I'm hoping I'm not over selling this all right, Here
- 1:21Speaker 1: we go. An ambulance ran over a cyclist to the
- 1:28Speaker 1: other day. Luckily they were on the scene so they
- 1:32Speaker 1: could throw him in the ambulance to take him to
- 1:34Speaker 1: the hospital. Unfortunately for the cyclist, besides being run over
- 1:39Speaker 1: by the ambulance, the ambulance then build him for the
- 1:42Speaker 1: surface all about you, But America seems great again already.
- 1:55Speaker 2: That's what happens when you have an Indian owned ambulance.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Oh god, that is the modern American medical system in
- 2:05Speaker 3: a nutshell right there.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Yeah, it's pretty bad when the when the American medical
- 2:11Speaker 1: industry is actually out there purposely injuring you there charging
- 2:16Speaker 1: you for it. I believe it's called creating the market.
- 2:23Speaker 1: A law firm in Oregon has filed a lawsuit on
- 2:26Speaker 1: behalf of a seventy one year old man named William Hesh.
- 2:30Speaker 1: William Hesh is seventy one years old. He was riding
- 2:33Speaker 1: his bike a couple of years ago when an ambulance
- 2:38Speaker 1: ran him over. The ambulance crashed into him after turning
- 2:42Speaker 1: into his path. The ambulance scooped William up rushed him
- 2:46Speaker 1: to the hospital, but then they later billed him more
- 2:49Speaker 1: than eighteen hundred dollars for the ride.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Now, this, of course, is not the only bill he's
- 2:56Speaker 1: dealing with. He has racked up forty seven thousand dollars
- 3:00Speaker 1: and medical expenses and expects another fifty thousand dollars of
- 3:04Speaker 1: medical costs in the future. So how hard did that
- 3:09Speaker 1: ambulance hit him? He had a fractured nose, scrapes and bruises,
- 3:19Speaker 1: and he also says he suffered decreased range of motion,
- 3:22Speaker 1: reduced grip strength, and other injuries. Okay, what's seventy one? Well,
- 3:29Speaker 1: if if you're suffering, if you're suffering from reduced grip strength,
- 3:34Speaker 1: I mean they're talking about a man, that's problem. I mean,
- 3:39Speaker 1: that's going to be putative when that gets to the jury.
- 3:46Speaker 1: He's seventy one. It's not going to be great already.
- 3:49Speaker 1: So I don't know that old man grip strength. That's well,
- 3:53Speaker 1: that's why you don't want to lose any of it.
- 3:57Speaker 2: CLS for Hands.
- 4:06Speaker 1: William and his lawyers have filed a nine hundred and
- 4:09Speaker 1: ninety seven thousand dollars lawsuit against the ambulance provider, and
- 4:14Speaker 1: the ambulance provider has yet to respond, probably because they're
- 4:18Speaker 1: out hunting other cyclists.
- 4:23Speaker 2: For first responders. They're really not doing a good job.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Yeah, you're supposed to respond, not Their response time is
- 4:36Speaker 1: best in the nation. It really is, as a response
- 4:40Speaker 1: times plus one.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:44Speaker 1: I didn't even think that was possible, but by god,
- 4:47Speaker 1: you guys did it.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Oh yeah, he's gonna win. He'll win this, Oh yeah
- 4:52Speaker 2: for sure.
- 4:54Speaker 4: That always stuff like that always makes me think about
- 4:55Speaker 4: the time, And you know, there was at a place
- 5:00Speaker 4: on McKinny and a woman just ran out on McKinney
- 5:02Speaker 4: and got hit by a car, and of course the
- 5:05Speaker 4: police came. I happened to know a couple of officers there,
- 5:08Speaker 4: and she had like two broken legs and had to
- 5:10Speaker 4: take her to Baylor, and you know, they were got
- 5:14Speaker 4: it all sorted out, and then one of them just
- 5:17Speaker 4: it's like, I can't believe I gotta go do this.
- 5:19Speaker 4: Like what He's like, I got you go write her
- 5:21Speaker 4: at jaywalking ticket.
- 5:25Speaker 1: You know what, though, good that's one of the things.
- 5:28Speaker 1: And I said this before on the radio, and there
- 5:32Speaker 1: were some people that got upset with me for it.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Jaywalking is illegal, and this is not the case in
- 5:39Speaker 1: every state. The way that the way that you the
- 5:43Speaker 1: pedestrian pedestrian laws work differently in different states, different cities.
- 5:48Speaker 1: My understanding of it in the state of Texas has
- 5:50Speaker 1: always been, as a pedestrian, you do not have the
- 5:53Speaker 1: absolute right of way. You do have the right of
- 5:56Speaker 1: way if it if the sign says you have it,
- 6:00Speaker 1: if you've got the little electronic man that says it's
- 6:03Speaker 1: safe for you to cross the street and you're doing
- 6:05Speaker 1: so within the crosswalk. There are other cities and other
- 6:07Speaker 1: states in our great nation where if you step out
- 6:10Speaker 1: into the street anywhere, you are considered to have the
- 6:13Speaker 1: right of way. Absolutely not the case in Texas. And
- 6:17Speaker 1: I agree. I think if you're a pedestrian, you should
- 6:20Speaker 1: not have absolute right of way at all times. Get
- 6:23Speaker 1: your dumbass in the crosswalk. Wait till the little glowy
- 6:27Speaker 1: man says it's okay for you to walk, then you
- 6:29Speaker 1: have the right of way. Otherwise you're just stepping into
- 6:32Speaker 1: traffic and you deserve to get a run over. I'm
- 6:35Speaker 1: off behind.
- 6:36Speaker 2: I walk a lot. I enjoy it. And let me
- 6:39Speaker 2: give you the pedestrian laws in Texas that are actually
- 6:43Speaker 2: real life. Nobody gives an f if you have the
- 6:50Speaker 2: walking guy or not right because I walk everywhere, like
- 6:54Speaker 2: I'll walk from here to like towny small or like
- 6:56Speaker 2: to you know the restaurants, Like I'll walk because I
- 6:59Speaker 2: walk to LA. And I can't tell you how many
- 7:02Speaker 2: times little walking guy was on the thing and uh,
- 7:05Speaker 2: I lived in LA and I know that's like, hey,
- 7:07Speaker 2: time to go. Uh, And how many times I've almost
- 7:10Speaker 2: been hit by a car where Like I carry my
- 7:12Speaker 2: little water bottle like I'm a little old walla. I
- 7:16Speaker 2: carry that and when the car gets too close, thing hit.
- 7:18Speaker 2: I hit the car.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Uh.
- 7:20Speaker 2: And I can't tell you how many fights I've almost
- 7:22Speaker 2: gotten into. And this is just this year. Uh, probably
- 7:25Speaker 2: about a dozen people have wanted to pull over and
- 7:28Speaker 2: fight me because I'm like, I just point to the
- 7:31Speaker 2: to the thing. No, Nobody, nobody in Dallas, nobody in Texas,
- 7:35Speaker 2: gives a flying leap into hell if you're walking anywhere.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Yeah, Honestly, at this point, while you might technically have
- 7:41Speaker 1: the right of way, yeah, do you want to be
- 7:44Speaker 1: right or do you want to be alive right? Or
- 7:48Speaker 1: being correct right?
- 7:49Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 7:52Speaker 1: And so going back to what you were saying, Trey,
- 7:54Speaker 1: the lady Jay walks, she crosses the street outside of
- 7:57Speaker 1: the crosswalk. There wasn't a little glowy do saying it's okay.
- 8:00Speaker 1: She just steps out in the traffic and got run over.
- 8:03Speaker 1: It makes sense that she should get a ticket and
- 8:06Speaker 1: uh the person who was driving should then sue her
- 8:12Speaker 1: for not only damage to his car, but for emotional
- 8:15Speaker 1: distress for hitting a pedestrian.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Ah danil Ellie, attorney at law.
- 8:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna get you your money. I am the anti
- 8:28Speaker 1: pedestrian attorney.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Here. Bs doesn't walk.
- 8:38Speaker 1: It used to, but not anymore.
- 8:47Speaker 5: You're listening to the Treehouse.
- 8:49Speaker 6: Visit us online that Treehouse on air dot com.
- 9:00Speaker 1: You know it's probably a good idea for you. Just

- 9:35Speaker 1: doing so will help you save a bunch of time
- 9:38Speaker 1: and a bunch of money, saving time because you're not
- 9:40Speaker 1: wasting much of time at a dealership. You just contact
- 9:42Speaker 1: Fairleas through the website, take a look there inventory online,
- 9:46Speaker 1: and then when you find the vehicle you want to
- 9:47Speaker 1: bring it to you and if they don't currently have

- 9:52Speaker 1: it and then bring it to you so you can

- 10:03Speaker 1: them a shout. They will run the numbers for you
- 10:05Speaker 1: and you'll see for yourself why leasing is better and
- 10:08Speaker 1: it's the absolute best at fair least. Go to fairlease

- 10:45Speaker 1: It is Friday, and that means a lot's happened. We
- 10:48Speaker 1: now have an anti pedestrian angle and rhetoric that's seeping
- 10:55Speaker 1: out of the Treehouse. So let's try to lighten the
- 10:57Speaker 1: mood just a little bit. Some birthdays on a Friday
- 11:02Speaker 1: still lots to get to here inside the show, but
- 11:06Speaker 1: first birthdays on a fred Day November eighth, twenty twenty
- 11:10Speaker 1: four birthdays today. Jessica Loundess is thirty six. Raj Am
- 11:17Speaker 1: I saying that right. The reason I'm asking you is
- 11:19Speaker 1: because she plays or played Adriana Tate Duncan on nine
- 11:24Speaker 1: oh two one.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Oh Adriana Tate Duncan. I don't know which character.
- 11:29Speaker 1: You know what? Actually, now that I think about it,
- 11:31Speaker 1: this is the reboot. Yeah, this is the reboot. She
- 11:35Speaker 1: played one of the new characters on the New nine
- 11:37Speaker 1: oh two and Oh are You? Are you a A
- 11:39Speaker 1: Beverly Hills nine oh two and Oh Purist. You only
- 11:43Speaker 1: watch the original show, not the reboot.
- 11:46Speaker 2: That is correct as Jesus intended it.
- 11:51Speaker 1: All right, fair enough anyway, She's thirty six today. Jack Osborne,
- 11:55Speaker 1: Ozzy Osbourne's son, is thirty nine today. Dania Ramirez might
- 12:03Speaker 1: be saying that wrong, but whatever is forty five. Dannia
- 12:07Speaker 1: plays Rosie Westmore on Devious Maids, Callisto in X Men
- 12:10Speaker 1: The Last Stand. She was also Maya on Heroes That
- 12:16Speaker 1: Rings a Bell. Dania Ramirez is forty five. Tara Reid
- 12:21Speaker 1: is forty nine today. She plays April in the Sharknado movies,
- 12:25Speaker 1: and before that, she of course rose to fame in
- 12:28Speaker 1: the American Pie films and thought that she was going
- 12:31Speaker 1: to go big time and go beyond the American pie films,
- 12:33Speaker 1: and it turned out no, she's in Sharknado's.
- 12:38Speaker 2: She had really bad, like botched plastic surgery, so that
- 12:43Speaker 2: she spent years like repairing, because I believe the surgeon
- 12:47Speaker 2: that actually did whatever in Beverly Hills, like what defunct
- 12:53Speaker 2: because of so many botch surgeries.
- 12:55Speaker 1: So what happened? Did her career go downhill before her
- 12:58Speaker 1: face or did her face go downhill? And because of
- 13:01Speaker 1: that her career.
- 13:02Speaker 2: So she decided to do what a lot of people
- 13:04Speaker 2: in Hollywood do. They get a bunch of work done
- 13:06Speaker 2: simultaneously so that the recovery time is the exact same
- 13:10Speaker 2: so they can get back out and about. So she
- 13:12Speaker 2: had facial lest she had her nose done, cheekbones done,
- 13:16Speaker 2: and then her boob's done, and all of it got botched.
- 13:19Speaker 2: So if you look at what when she got done
- 13:20Speaker 2: with the surgery, she's unrecognizable, like you wouldn't have guessed
- 13:25Speaker 2: it was her.
- 13:25Speaker 1: I'm wondering because I do remember, and it was obvious
- 13:28Speaker 1: that she had some bad work done, and I couldn't help,
- 13:31Speaker 1: but think it's like hearing you describe it, is it
- 13:34Speaker 1: the same plastic surgeon doing all three of those things?
- 13:37Speaker 1: I would think if I've got Hollywood money, the first
- 13:40Speaker 1: thing I would do is, even though they've probably signed
- 13:42Speaker 1: countless non disclosure agreements, just find whoever does the Kardashians
- 13:46Speaker 1: plastic surgery, because that's the best. There's no doubt. I
- 13:50Speaker 1: mean that family gets new faces when they turn like
- 13:52Speaker 1: for their Sweet sixteen and jenders. So yeah, and so
- 13:57Speaker 1: I bet the Kardashians would tell you they probably got
- 14:02Speaker 1: uh surgeons for specific surgeries, like like I don't like,
- 14:09Speaker 1: I don't think when Bruce was doing his ultimate tuck,
- 14:14Speaker 1: I don't know if he wants the same surgeon that
- 14:17Speaker 1: made that. Did you know Kylie's chin?
- 14:21Speaker 2: No, that's a that's a specialist. Yeah, that's a very
- 14:24Speaker 2: region specific. Also, the ultimate should be the final dive
- 14:29Speaker 2: move in the Olympics, Like that should.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Be that's the last event in the catlog.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Oh go for gold.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Yeah that's the event that they don't televise, but it's
- 14:50Speaker 1: clearly the one that one. I'm serious here, just even
- 14:58Speaker 1: hearing you talk about Terry Read's blastic sure, I get
- 15:00Speaker 1: doing all those things at once. But I don't like
- 15:03Speaker 1: the idea of a multitasking surgeon. I'd rather you just
- 15:07Speaker 1: be really good at this one thing, concentrate on it,
- 15:10Speaker 1: and then do that and then we can revisit the
- 15:13Speaker 1: other areas later.
- 15:14Speaker 2: Yeah, sometimes you'll have like multiple and she did not
- 15:17Speaker 2: have this, but you'll have multiple surgeons in the same room,
- 15:20Speaker 2: so one person's doing somebody's not doing the boobs, another
- 15:25Speaker 2: one doing the butt or whatever it is. She decided
- 15:29Speaker 2: to go like, hey, you know this is going to
- 15:30Speaker 2: be I can do all of it, and the guys like,
- 15:32Speaker 2: I can. I can make all of that happen in
- 15:34Speaker 2: one visit, and then your recovery time is you know, three,
- 15:37Speaker 2: three to six weeks whatever it is, and you'll be
- 15:39Speaker 2: out there. And she got jacked up, and so she
- 15:42Speaker 2: spent years and tens of thousands of dollars to have
- 15:45Speaker 2: it redone so where she actually looks a lot more
- 15:48Speaker 2: like what she used to than after the plastic surgery.
- 15:52Speaker 1: So I just I strongly feel that plastic surgery and
- 15:57Speaker 1: surgery in general is not something where you want to
- 16:02Speaker 1: Sorry for the pun, but cut corners.
- 16:04Speaker 2: I was gonna.
- 16:07Speaker 1: I mean, I want the best of the best. I
- 16:10Speaker 1: want to make sure that they're concentrating on the task
- 16:13Speaker 1: at hand and that you know they're I don't look
- 16:19Speaker 1: I am a frugal guy. Yes, some would call me cheap.
- 16:25Speaker 1: I am not going to cheap out when it comes
- 16:27Speaker 1: to my face and if I'm in Hollywood and it's
- 16:31Speaker 1: my body as a whole, I am not going to
- 16:34Speaker 1: go to the costco version of surgeons.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Right Like when she got done, you could tell like
- 16:39Speaker 2: she got a coupon out of the thrifty nickel, Like that's.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Where brand stamped on her forehead.
- 16:47Speaker 4: So so, Dan, you're not gonna get your Brazilian butt
- 16:49Speaker 4: lift in the back of a van.
- 16:51Speaker 2: No, that's what they call the Saint John Way.
- 16:59Speaker 1: No, I'm gonna get it out of I'm gonna get
- 17:01Speaker 1: it out of primatecare the way I can afford.

- 20:35Speaker 9: Baby, you're a winner man, you're the real guilt. You're
- 20:39Speaker 9: picking up chicks. Let me tell you something. You buy
- 20:42Speaker 9: this set at thirty nine ninety nine, Baby, you're the
- 20:46Speaker 9: cock of the walk man, you walk.
- 20:48Speaker 1: You buy this sports card set for thirty nine ninety
- 20:51Speaker 1: nine with the cock of the walk.
- 20:53Speaker 9: Baby, you're a winner man, you're the real guilt. You're
- 20:56Speaker 9: picking up chicks. Let me tell you something. I just
- 21:00Speaker 9: set at thirty nine ninety nine. Baby, you're the cock
- 21:03Speaker 9: of the walk. Man. You walk into the bar and
- 21:05Speaker 9: you just find the hottest chick and you go.
- 21:07Speaker 1: You me guess what she says. Why would I go
- 21:11Speaker 1: out with you?
- 21:11Speaker 9: Because I bought the deal on wild West Deals from
- 21:13Speaker 9: thirty nine ninety nine. That's why she says, can I
- 21:18Speaker 9: go home with you?
- 21:19Speaker 2: That's how simple it is.
- 21:20Speaker 1: That's how it works. That you're taking notes, Jerry, I am.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Actually I probably shouldn't ask if you're taking notes. You've
- 21:28Speaker 1: got a girlfriend, Trey? Are you taking notes? Yeah? I
- 21:32Speaker 1: get it.
- 21:32Speaker 2: Dan, You I need a date, I got it, well,
- 21:37Speaker 2: or a brand new baseball card set one of the others.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Well, in this case, you could get both. If you
- 21:43Speaker 1: go to wild West deals dot Com and you get
- 21:46Speaker 1: the sports card set for thirty nine ninety nine instead
- 21:49Speaker 1: of the fifty nine ninety nine that it's gonna go
- 21:51Speaker 1: up to tomorrow. Not only would you get this sports
- 21:56Speaker 1: card set, but you also get all the hot chicks
- 21:58Speaker 1: in the bar tray. I'm just saying, have you tried
- 22:02Speaker 1: this method? Have you tried this angle? Have you tried
- 22:04Speaker 1: this approach?
- 22:06Speaker 10: You know I have not?
- 22:08Speaker 1: Then then then why not.
- 22:12Speaker 10: I will?
- 22:13Speaker 1: Uh you know.
- 22:15Speaker 10: Next time there's a you know, a guy in there
- 22:17Speaker 10: in a lambeau and uh you know, I'll uh, I'll
- 22:21Speaker 10: shoot my shot.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Yeah, you walk up, and you walk up the guy
- 22:24Speaker 2: in the.
- 22:24Speaker 10: Lambeau, I know one of the many girls that are
- 22:28Speaker 10: talking to him.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Oh okay, okay, Yeah.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Sure he's got the Lamborghini right, and he might have
- 22:34Speaker 2: the looks, and he might have the money. He might
- 22:35Speaker 2: have Trey, he might have the power. But does he
- 22:39Speaker 2: have an Aaron Judge Rookie, No he doesn't. You know
- 22:44Speaker 2: who does the thirty nine ninety nine set.
- 22:47Speaker 9: That's what you have just said to the table, because
- 22:50Speaker 9: you know what she sees. She sees a man who
- 22:53Speaker 9: knows what he wants. She sees a man who says
- 22:56Speaker 9: good deals don't get by me. Baby. I move, I
- 23:00Speaker 9: act quick, I act now. I go to Wildwasteels dot
- 23:03Speaker 9: com boom. That's why you're hanging with chicks all night long.
- 23:08Speaker 9: That's why you've got guys like Michael Jordan calling you
- 23:11Speaker 9: want to hang out with you, baby, Trey.
- 23:16Speaker 1: I think we found your new life coach.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Yes, he comes with hipp andol.
- 23:29Speaker 1: So that's how you're hanging out with chicks all night.
- 23:32Speaker 2: They're asleep, but you're with them.
- 23:41Speaker 1: I've got this consent set for forty you're gonna need this.
- 23:49Speaker 2: You're gonna call him Trey Diddy by the time it's all.
- 23:55Speaker 10: Baby. Also, it's separately.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Just the way it goes.
- 24:07Speaker 2: I like how much the guy believes in what he's saying.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Yeah there, there's Yeah. You cannot doubt his commitment to excellency.
- 24:18Speaker 2: It worked for one guy once and he's like, I'm
- 24:20Speaker 2: gonna make this the ad.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a testimonial.
- 24:29Speaker 2: I just want to see the guy. And I walked
- 24:32Speaker 2: into the bar and I had my box set. Oh,
- 24:36Speaker 2: keep talking there, Jethro, keep talking. What if it's twenty
- 24:42Speaker 2: nine ninety nine tomorrow.
- 24:50Speaker 1: I don't think he's got an answer for that one.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Just when you think it can't get any lower.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Now you have a Now you have a discounted box

- 26:21Speaker 11: house and at that point in time, it's no longer

- 27:21Speaker 1: Lots of fun stuff online when you get involved with
- 27:23Speaker 1: the show at Treehouse on Air, Trey, remember how I
- 27:27Speaker 1: was telling you about Don West, your new life coach,
- 27:30Speaker 1: and that if you buy this. He was saying that
- 27:32Speaker 1: if you buy this box set for thirty nine to
- 27:33Speaker 1: ninety nine of sports cards, you'll just be swimming in chicks.
- 27:38Speaker 1: And while I had a great idea, I think to
- 27:44Speaker 1: bring him into your life as your life coach, I
- 27:47Speaker 1: have some bad news. Well no, yeah, Don West is
- 27:53Speaker 1: getting dead. Oh it turns out Don West is not
- 28:01Speaker 1: just Don West of wild Westdeals dot com fame. He's
- 28:04Speaker 1: also Don West of Don West Deals and up until
- 28:10Speaker 1: December thirtieth, twenty twenty two. In addition to being an
- 28:13Speaker 1: American pitchman television personality. He was also a professional wrestling broadcaster.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Yes he was, So I'm kind of surprised that Raj
- 28:24Speaker 1: you didn't know who he was. West Don West first
- 28:28Speaker 1: came to prominence as a host for the Shop at
- 28:30Speaker 1: Home Network in the early nineties, achieving a degree of
- 28:34Speaker 1: fame for his loud, energetic, abrasive sales pitches on late
- 28:37Speaker 1: night television and for his blunt tone and persuasive style.
- 28:41Speaker 1: After briefly hosting a talk show, The Sports Reporters on WNSR,
- 28:48Speaker 1: that is a Nashville area Class D radio station, West
- 28:52Speaker 1: joined the professional wrestling promotion Total NonStop Action Wrestling TNA.
- 28:58Speaker 2: I know the promotion, but don't I've never I don't remember.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Him as a color commentator in two thousand and two.
- 29:04Speaker 1: He would work with the promotion and various capacities over
- 29:07Speaker 1: the two thousands and twenty tens. In twenty twenty three,
- 29:11Speaker 1: he was posthumously inducted into the TNA Impact Hall of Fame.
- 29:17Speaker 1: So Don former life coach for Trey Trenhall, very brief.
- 29:26Speaker 1: May he rest in peace that he died before taking
- 29:31Speaker 1: Trey on as a client.
- 29:33Speaker 2: I was gonna say do you have any do you
- 29:34Speaker 2: have any words to say to your mentor you.
- 29:37Speaker 4: Know, our time together was so so brief.
- 29:45Speaker 2: I still feel like I've learned a lot, just so fleeting.
- 29:48Speaker 4: You were the gust between my wings.
- 29:56Speaker 1: All right? Other than birthdays, I think I know something
- 29:59Speaker 1: that will make you feel better, Tray, okay, and that
- 30:01Speaker 1: is a big helping of nostalgia. Are you ready?
- 30:07Speaker 2: Yep? All right?
- 30:09Speaker 1: Actually, let me go to this. A pole looked at
- 30:14Speaker 1: the decades that we are most nostalgic for right now.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Do you want to guess? This is just for you, Trey,
- 30:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna have you guess. What do you think? Which
- 30:23Speaker 1: decade do you think right now? People are most nostalgic
- 30:29Speaker 1: for nineties Icially done, the nineties are the most nostalgic
- 30:39Speaker 1: decade for twenty four percent of Americans the top five.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Eleven percent of people said their most nostalgic for the sixties,
- 30:48Speaker 1: seventeen percent said they are most nostalgic for the seventies,
- 30:52Speaker 1: eighteen percent said they want to go back to the
- 30:54Speaker 1: two thousands. Twenty two percent said the eighties. That was
- 30:59Speaker 1: good for second place in the number one decade that
- 31:02Speaker 1: we are most nostalgic for are the nineties, which now
- 31:07Speaker 1: is going to lead us into It's time for versus
- 31:12Speaker 1: inside the Treehouse on deck today, do you want to
- 31:18Speaker 1: go back and live in the eighties or would you
- 31:22Speaker 1: rather go back and live in the nineties? Today on
- 31:26Speaker 1: versus inside the treehouse, would you rather go back and
- 31:30Speaker 1: live in the eighties or would you rather go back
- 31:33Speaker 1: and live in the nineties. We will start with our
- 31:36Speaker 1: first chair contestant today, mister Trey Trenholm, off the recent
- 31:40Speaker 1: death of his life coach. If you could go back
- 31:44Speaker 1: and live in one decade, would it be the eighties
- 31:48Speaker 1: or the nineties?
- 31:51Speaker 10: Nineties?
- 31:53Speaker 4: Why, I've always thought the eighties were overrated, that's a
- 32:00Speaker 4: hot take.
- 32:01Speaker 10: And nineties were just it was a good decade.
- 32:05Speaker 4: Music was good, except for you know, I mean you
- 32:09Speaker 4: had to get rid of grunge in the early nineties.
- 32:10Speaker 4: But then after that, good music, good movies. Think about
- 32:14Speaker 4: some of the movies that came out there. Great economy,
- 32:18Speaker 4: it was. It was a fun time.
- 32:20Speaker 1: The nineties. The nineties did have the dot com boom,
- 32:23Speaker 1: so yeah, the economy was screaming on fire. RAJ, what
- 32:27Speaker 1: about you, if you could go back and live in
- 32:30Speaker 1: the eighties or the nineties, which how you were going
- 32:33Speaker 1: to I.
- 32:34Speaker 2: Liked the eighties for the music. I thought it was
- 32:35Speaker 2: really good. I was innovative. But I mean, if I
- 32:38Speaker 2: wanted to live, I was in college. You know, it
- 32:42Speaker 2: was a lot of fun. You know, the fraternity parties
- 32:44Speaker 2: and the ladies. And I didn't have Don West as
- 32:49Speaker 2: a life coach, but I still did okay. But I
- 32:53Speaker 2: would go with the nineties as well. It was a
- 32:54Speaker 2: lot of fun. I would skip the part where I
- 32:57Speaker 2: put the blonde tips in my hair. I would skip
- 32:59Speaker 2: that part.
- 33:01Speaker 1: We all have. We all had regrets in the nineties.
- 33:03Speaker 4: I mean, you went to Southwest Texas. That baseball card
- 33:06Speaker 4: you know, line might have actually worked there?
- 33:08Speaker 2: Oh yeah, trust me. Not. A whole lot of stuff
- 33:13Speaker 2: didn't work.
- 33:15Speaker 1: So yeah, Raj would have walked into a party and said, ladies,
- 33:19Speaker 1: I've got two logs, Gary, what about you? If you
- 33:23Speaker 1: could go back and live in one decade, would it
- 33:25Speaker 1: be the eighties or the nineties.
- 33:30Speaker 3: It would definitely have to be the nineties, but by
- 33:33Speaker 3: a narrow margin. I love the eighties. It was colorful,
- 33:38Speaker 3: there was you know, I enjoyed most of the music.
- 33:42Speaker 3: Towards the end there it kind of lyrics kind of
- 33:44Speaker 3: became repetitive. But I really enjoyed the nineties. I loved
- 33:49Speaker 3: being on that cusp of technology between now and then.
- 33:53Speaker 1: And also I.
- 33:55Speaker 3: Would like to go back and relive the nineties because
- 33:57Speaker 3: when I was actually living in the nineties, I was participating,
- 34:01Speaker 3: so it's kind of a wash. I don't remember a
- 34:03Speaker 3: whole lot of it. Oh yeah, it'd be nice to
- 34:06Speaker 3: go back and kind of, you know, live it again. Yeah,
- 34:09Speaker 3: I just remember it for me.
- 34:11Speaker 1: It's interesting because when I first saw this, Okay, my
- 34:15Speaker 1: first reaction was I want to go back to the
- 34:16Speaker 1: eighties until I started actually thinking about it, because the
- 34:20Speaker 1: more I started thinking about it, the nineties actually were
- 34:25Speaker 1: better overall. I mean, you could go line item by
- 34:29Speaker 1: line item and you know, pit one decade versus the other.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Movies would be kind of difficult because it's fairly even.
- 34:38Speaker 1: But if I could go back to a movie theater
- 34:40Speaker 1: in the eighties or the nineties, I think I might
- 34:42Speaker 1: do the nineties. Music. I again, I would think the eighties,
- 34:48Speaker 1: But the more I think about the nineties, it was
- 34:50Speaker 1: more it was more diverse. Yeah, different genres that I
- 34:55Speaker 1: loved at the time, Like in the nineties. I loved
- 34:57Speaker 1: pop music, I loved grunge, I loved a nineties dance
- 35:02Speaker 1: music is amazing, See and See music Factory didn't come
- 35:06Speaker 1: on the scene until I think nineteen ninety nineteen ninety one.
- 35:09Speaker 1: So I think the technology thing was the kicker for me,
- 35:16Speaker 1: because if I go back and live in the eighties,
- 35:20Speaker 1: people don't even know what the internet is. On one hand,
- 35:25Speaker 1: that sounds kind of nice, but as someone that has
- 35:28Speaker 1: lived the majority of my life with the Internet, I
- 35:30Speaker 1: think I'd rather go back to the nineties that had
- 35:32Speaker 1: it as slow as it was. I think I'd rather
- 35:35Speaker 1: have the slightly more advanced technological decade of the nineties
- 35:40Speaker 1: versus the eighties. Also because women were hotter in the
- 35:44Speaker 1: nineties than they were in the eighties.
- 35:48Speaker 2: Okay, I mean, you didn't like the big eagle claw
- 35:52Speaker 2: thing on.
- 35:53Speaker 1: The Trey what do you call the big the eighties
- 35:55Speaker 1: hair do on the Chicks?
- 35:58Speaker 10: The bear claw bear claw claw?
- 36:00Speaker 2: You didn't like. You didn't like that, You didn't you
- 36:02Speaker 2: didn't find that irresistible. In Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Everyone had that.
- 36:07Speaker 2: Yes, that's right, and I think that's where it was invented.
- 36:11Speaker 1: I think my sister started it, and I think that's
- 36:14Speaker 1: part of the reason why I want nothing to do
- 36:15Speaker 1: with it.
- 36:16Speaker 2: Yeah, so would you still go back to your sense
- 36:20Speaker 2: of fashion, which, if I do recall, was like sports,
- 36:24Speaker 2: like the long basketball shorts with the tank top and
- 36:27Speaker 2: the frosted tips in your hair, and uh, would you?
- 36:31Speaker 1: Would you?
- 36:31Speaker 2: Would you go?
- 36:32Speaker 1: For the record, I never had the frosted tips.
- 36:35Speaker 2: I don't know, you're white, so I.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Did not have frosted tips. Okay, but in fourth grade
- 36:44Speaker 1: I did do the sun in that was dispray stuff,
- 36:47Speaker 1: so I did not have frosted tips. Instead, I had
- 36:50Speaker 1: something between brown and blonde all throughout my hair. It
- 36:53Speaker 1: was sort of a reddish hue.
- 36:55Speaker 2: Gotcha. Yeah. The first time I went in for the tips,
- 36:59Speaker 2: because you know, it was the nineties and I had
- 37:01Speaker 2: to be I'd like the blue contacts and I had
- 37:03Speaker 2: my big hoop ear rings. I went TONI and guy
- 37:06Speaker 2: and I was like, I want to get the tips
- 37:08Speaker 2: in my hair and he goes, cool, you mean whatever
- 37:11Speaker 2: it was? And then we named it something and I
- 37:12Speaker 2: was like, no, he he called it something and he
- 37:17Speaker 2: died my entire head blonde. Yeah, that was that was
- 37:21Speaker 2: a moment in my life.
- 37:23Speaker 1: So were you trying to join a boy band.
- 37:26Speaker 2: I was trying to start one. I was trying to
- 37:28Speaker 2: be the lead. Nobody followed. Uh so I was just
- 37:33Speaker 2: a very unattractive solo artist.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Uh Don West.
- 37:41Speaker 2: We called it mentored.
- 37:42Speaker 4: Uh Indian Sink.
- 38:00Speaker 5: Listening to the Treehouse.

- 39:08Speaker 1: I've already rolling like halfway through today's show, and I
- 39:10Speaker 1: feel like it's already made me feel better about the
- 39:12Speaker 1: crazy week of news, and because there's been some good
- 39:16Speaker 1: news some sad news, but I know it's extremely sad
- 39:20Speaker 1: news learning about Trey's life coach passing away, So it's
- 39:22Speaker 1: very it's it's just it's a shame. There's no other
- 39:26Speaker 1: way to look at it. And again, treyor very sorry
- 39:30Speaker 1: for your loss, but I still think there are other
- 39:32Speaker 1: things that we could do to make you feel better. Okay,
- 39:34Speaker 1: so here we go. Are any of you familiar with
- 39:42Speaker 1: the infinite monkey theorem? I believe so, yes, Okay, Jerry,
- 39:48Speaker 1: what do you think the infinite monkey theorem is.
- 39:52Speaker 3: It's akin to the old saying about if you put
- 39:55Speaker 3: a you know, a bunch of monkeys in a room
- 39:57Speaker 3: with typewriters, eventually they're gonna pound about Shakespeare.
- 40:03Speaker 1: That is correct. There's another version of that where if
- 40:07Speaker 1: you get enough monkeys in a room with a computer,
- 40:11Speaker 1: that they will also be able to program a radio
- 40:14Speaker 1: station that gets ratings. But we know of some examples
- 40:16Speaker 1: of whether that's not been the case. But you are right, Jerry,
- 40:22Speaker 1: You are absolutely correct. The infinite monkey theorem is the
- 40:26Speaker 1: idea that on a long enough timescale, even a monkey
- 40:31Speaker 1: hitting random keys could type the complete works of Shakespeare.
- 40:38Speaker 1: So let me say it again. Just make sure you
- 40:39Speaker 1: took it all in. The infinite monkey theorem is the
- 40:42Speaker 1: idea that on a long enough timescale, even a monkey
- 40:45Speaker 1: hitting random keys could type the complete works of Shakespeare. However,
- 40:50Speaker 1: there's been a new study done why I don't know,
- 40:54Speaker 1: but whatever, and the new study found that the monkeys
- 40:58Speaker 1: wouldn't have time. So it turns out the infinite monkey
- 41:11Speaker 1: theorem has a deadline. You got too much going on.
- 41:26Speaker 4: They're too busy listening to the radio station, their buddy programs.
- 41:36Speaker 1: Now, a new study found that the monkey wouldn't have time.
- 41:41Speaker 1: They said every star in the universe would burn out
- 41:45Speaker 1: long before the monkey would type out the complete works
- 41:48Speaker 1: of Shakespeare. So that's saying that in the infinite void
- 41:54Speaker 1: of space, all the lights on the stars would go
- 41:57Speaker 1: out before the monkey would have a chance to finish
- 42:00Speaker 1: the random type of Shakespeare's works to be or not well.
- 42:05Speaker 3: Crap exactly in between eating fruit, flinging poo, smoking cigarettes,
- 42:18Speaker 3: punching people out of truck windows, jumping out of and
- 42:23Speaker 3: jumping out of enclosures at the.
- 42:24Speaker 2: Dallas Zoo, eating their owner's face.
- 42:31Speaker 1: Or just pulling it off with their hands, which is
- 42:33Speaker 1: very They can do that too.
- 42:36Speaker 2: Oh, that was a that was a laugh. I need,
- 42:40Speaker 2: how's that Shakespeare coming along? I don't have the time,
- 42:45Speaker 2: very busy, gwyn.
- 42:51Speaker 1: Yet they had enough time to do the study to
- 42:53Speaker 1: find out that the monkey wouldn't have the time to
- 42:56Speaker 1: do it.
- 42:57Speaker 2: I like how that's a guy who like got the
- 43:00Speaker 2: rant for the study and then forgot to do the study.
- 43:03Speaker 2: It's like, what are the results of crap?
- 43:05Speaker 1: I better come up with something.
- 43:07Speaker 2: Well, I didn't have time, how would the monkeys? And
- 43:11Speaker 2: he just submitted that, well, they just wouldn't have time. Like,
- 43:14Speaker 2: brilliant doctor, we will.
- 43:17Speaker 1: Give you our ironically your Darwin Award. I really do
- 43:25Speaker 1: feel like, like on Darwin's chart, like we hit the
- 43:28Speaker 1: big one and now we're just going back back the
- 43:30Speaker 1: other way.
- 43:31Speaker 2: This guy's study is like when I was in fourth
- 43:34Speaker 2: grade and had to do a book report and I
- 43:36Speaker 2: forgot to read the book, just like, oh, let me
- 43:39Speaker 2: just read the back leaflet. That's that's what it is.
- 43:42Speaker 2: This is the same guy who's like, well, you know, well, clearly,
- 43:45Speaker 2: I mean they would write Shakespeare, but you know they
- 43:47Speaker 2: have a lot going on, you know in these days?
- 43:51Speaker 1: Yeah, good lord, I mean, look, it's difficult to be
- 43:55Speaker 1: a monkey these days. I means it's hard to time
- 44:00Speaker 1: to find time to write randomly on a on a
- 44:02Speaker 1: typewriter or keyboard, whatever the case is. I mean between
- 44:07Speaker 1: school and work. Yeah monkeys, oh yeah, yeah, you can't
- 44:16Speaker 1: forget the you know, the monkey.
- 44:20Speaker 2: That's why they don't have any time. And where do
- 44:23Speaker 2: you find typewriter ribbon these days? That's the question.
- 44:28Speaker 1: Maybe that's the problem with said they would ahead time
- 44:30Speaker 1: had the ribbon not run out. It's just the monkey
- 44:34Speaker 1: at the typewriter. It reached the end and it's just like, well,
- 44:37Speaker 1: now what then they gotta stop. They gotta go to
- 44:39Speaker 1: circuit City. You know, I gotta I.
- 44:42Speaker 2: Gotta invent circuit City real quick. And then I gotta
- 44:45Speaker 2: go in.
- 44:46Speaker 10: They gave it a computer. Then it started playing hearts.
- 45:02Speaker 5: You're listening to the tree House. Visit us online.
- 45:06Speaker 6: At Treehouse on air dot com.
- 45:25Speaker 7: You're in the tree House. Visit us online at Treehouse
- 45:29Speaker 7: on air dot com.
- 45:44Speaker 1: God, I love lover Boy on Fridays. All right, So
- 45:49Speaker 1: now that we're all aware of the infinite monkey theorem
- 45:52Speaker 1: and that it's been disproven, very sad inside the Treehouse.
- 45:59Speaker 2: First doctor with and now this I know, but let's.
- 46:05Speaker 1: Be clear about something if you put a monkey in
- 46:10Speaker 1: front of a keyboard, it's gonna get distracted, right, It's inevitable.
- 46:15Speaker 1: Like if it was just a typewriter, maybe, but if
- 46:17Speaker 1: we're talking about a computer, there are too many distractions
- 46:20Speaker 1: in the world. There are too many distractions online for
- 46:22Speaker 1: a monkey to ever accidentally throughout the endless void of
- 46:26Speaker 1: space and time to hammer out Shakespeare. And as if
- 46:31Speaker 1: we didn't need more proof of that, we now have
- 46:35Speaker 1: it because North Korea has entered the chat. There is
- 46:43Speaker 1: a source that has claimed North Korean soldiers that are
- 46:49Speaker 1: in Russia. Right, So North Korea and Russia they're now
- 46:53Speaker 1: they're now kind of hooking up, right, Well, Russia has
- 46:57Speaker 1: now brought troops from North Korea into Russia. There are
- 47:02Speaker 1: a few things that North Korean soldiers are not used to.
- 47:05Speaker 1: One is being anywhere other than North Korea, and part
- 47:09Speaker 1: of that means being somewhere where there's internet. We read
- 47:13Speaker 1: a story a number of months ago about someone thought
- 47:16Speaker 1: it would be a good idea to give the Internet
- 47:21Speaker 1: to a remote Amazonian tribe. And now that North Korean
- 47:31Speaker 1: soldiers are in Russia, they have access to the Internet,
- 47:34Speaker 1: and because of that, they've begun to gorge themselves on
- 47:38Speaker 1: porn for the very first time. I knew it. Yeah.
- 47:43Speaker 1: North Korean troops in Russia gorging on adult sites after
- 47:47Speaker 1: getting internet for the very first time. Lots and lots
- 47:52Speaker 1: and lots of porn. According to Financial Times Chief Foreign
- 47:59Speaker 1: Affairs common to Gideon Rockman, military personnel from North Korea
- 48:03Speaker 1: are blowing off steam after duty by surfing the web
- 48:09Speaker 1: for adult videos. With internet access not generally available in
- 48:12Speaker 1: their home country. These soldiers are seemingly using a trip
- 48:15Speaker 1: to Russia as an excuse to wreck their internet history
- 48:18Speaker 1: and watch streams of X rated content.
- 48:22Speaker 2: That's not the only thing to reckon that.
- 48:32Speaker 10: We've been trying to bring down North Korea for seventy years.
- 48:39Speaker 2: All we needed was Jenna Jamison.
- 48:42Speaker 1: All it took was an ex hamster.
- 48:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 48:49Speaker 1: In a post on social media, the journalist said, a
- 48:52Speaker 1: usually reliable source tells me that the North Korean soldiers
- 48:55Speaker 1: who have deployed to Russia have never had unfettered access
- 48:59Speaker 1: to the Internet before, and as a result, they were
- 49:02Speaker 1: gorging on pornography, which I guess also technically would mean
- 49:06Speaker 1: that they're fettering like crazy.
- 49:11Speaker 2: They're fettering so much as like watching watching a monkey,
- 49:14Speaker 2: f a typewriter.
- 49:16Speaker 1: They'll get to that site next week.
- 49:22Speaker 10: They see South Korean cheerleaders. It's over.
- 49:31Speaker 1: I don't know about the Middle East, but I think
- 49:33Speaker 1: that will bring North and South Korea. Oh man, that's
- 49:40Speaker 1: a hell of a week, is it. Thank you guys
- 49:43Speaker 1: for hanging out with us here. We appreciate it. We
- 49:45Speaker 1: will see you back here on Monday inside the treehouse,
- 50:00Speaker 1: but said
