- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Welcome back to the Almost Famous Podcast. It's been here
- 0:10Speaker 2: and today we're doing something a little different. We're getting
- 0:14Speaker 2: excited about a new show that we'll be recapping here
- 0:18Speaker 2: on the Almost Famous Podcast. If you're watching Perfect Match
- 0:22Speaker 2: on Netflix, this right here will be the spot to
- 0:27Speaker 2: get all the breakdowns, all the opinions, interviews, insights, everything
- 0:31Speaker 2: right here at the Almost Famous Podcast. We're not going
- 0:33Speaker 2: away from Bachelor Nation. We're breaking down this show because
- 0:38Speaker 2: we have two Bachelor Nation alum that have been confirmed
- 0:43Speaker 2: on this season. If you're watching, you've seen Clayton in
- 0:46Speaker 2: episode one, you also will see Rachel a little longer
- 0:50Speaker 2: down the line. Here, I have a special co host today,
- 0:56Speaker 2: somebody from the depths of passage. A man with integrity, honesty.
- 1:03Speaker 2: He shares his earnest opinion with truth and humor. He
- 1:06Speaker 2: cares deeply about the listener. He's usually behind the scenes,
- 1:11Speaker 2: but we're blessed, yes hashtag blessed today to have him
- 1:16Speaker 2: join our airwaves Easton.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Wow. What an introduction. Thank you, Ben, thank you. I'm
- 1:24Speaker 3: proud to say I'm one of the many people that
- 1:27Speaker 3: have listened to every single episode of the Almost Famous Podcast.
- 1:31Speaker 3: I am a diehard fan. I've been there since day one,
- 1:34Speaker 3: and I'm excited to join you today.
- 1:36Speaker 2: It's absolutely ridiculous. You have been with us since day one.
- 1:40Speaker 2: In fact, a lot of our team have been around
- 1:42Speaker 2: since day one. You haven't jumped on the Almost Famous
- 1:46Speaker 2: podcast as often as I think listeners would have liked.
- 1:49Speaker 2: You are known for some fairly frequent appearances on other shows.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Correct, Yeah, I mean if you want to get into
- 1:59Speaker 3: the multiverse here scrubbing in with Beckettilly, you can hear
- 2:01Speaker 3: me on there. I sometimes my voice is heard on
- 2:05Speaker 3: Wine Down with Jana Kramer. There's a couple of other
- 2:08Speaker 3: iHeart podcasts that we produce here at the Factory that
- 2:12Speaker 3: I speak on. But I'm excited to join you today
- 2:14Speaker 3: because Perfect Match. What a riot? What a riot? Man?
- 2:19Speaker 2: Okay, we're gonna start with this again. We're breaking down
- 2:22Speaker 2: Perfect Match here on the Almost Famous Podcast because we
- 2:25Speaker 2: do want to spice the Almost Famous Podcast up a
- 2:28Speaker 2: little bit, break down some newer like reality television shows.
- 2:31Speaker 2: We're not going away from the Bachelor. We are Bachelor committed,
- 2:34Speaker 2: but we thought Perfect Match was a great entry point
- 2:37Speaker 2: for us because we do have two bacheloration contestants on
- 2:41Speaker 2: this reality show Easton. We're gonna break down the first
- 2:46Speaker 2: episode right here. But a few weeks ago, we had
- 2:50Speaker 2: Rachel as our co host on the Almost Famous podcast
- 2:52Speaker 2: as you remember. Yes, at that point in time, we
- 2:56Speaker 2: had watched the trailer kind of preparing for her to
- 2:59Speaker 2: be the co host and ask her a little bit
- 3:00Speaker 2: about Perfect Match. I want to hear your opinions on
- 3:06Speaker 2: your like on Perfect Match and its relation to Bacheloration.
- 3:10Speaker 2: It feels like two totally different like hemispheres to me.
- 3:13Speaker 2: It doesn't feel like I watch Perfect Match. And I
- 3:16Speaker 2: told Jess as much as I want to be a
- 3:19Speaker 2: guy that could be on that show, like and say
- 3:21Speaker 2: the things they do and look the way they look,
- 3:23Speaker 2: and I don't fit on this show at all.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I would like to see on that show,
- 3:30Speaker 3: but for for reasons, I'll get into my personal background.
- 3:35Speaker 3: I am not a reality TV watcher. I know The
- 3:40Speaker 3: Bachelor because of my work, but I don't I haven't
- 3:45Speaker 3: seen a lot of the shows that these these heroes
- 3:48Speaker 3: are from on Perfect Match, and I have not watched
- 3:50Speaker 3: the first two seasons a Perfect Match. So I was
- 3:52Speaker 3: going into this so cold, and I think it's really
- 3:57Speaker 3: I think the activities the games makes really exciting and
- 4:01Speaker 3: really fun different. I do think this show is much
- 4:06Speaker 3: hornier than The Bachelor is. I know Bachelor in Paradise
- 4:10Speaker 3: is different, but like, I was surprised at how physical
- 4:13Speaker 3: everyone was getting so quickly, and let me tell you,
- 4:16Speaker 3: I loved it. I wanted to see more. I'm excited
- 4:19Speaker 3: to see what happens next. And also this being a
- 4:23Speaker 3: Netflix show, this is like a Netflix multiverse thing. We're
- 4:26Speaker 3: bringing in people from Bachelor, bringing people from CS to Key.
- 4:29Speaker 3: I'm excited to see how those people mesh with the
- 4:33Speaker 3: with the Netflix people, because there's definitely a flavor to
- 4:35Speaker 3: each one. And yeah, I mean the you know, I'm
- 4:42Speaker 3: going to be anchored a lot in the Bachelor people
- 4:46Speaker 3: there on this Rachel and Clayton, because that's who I
- 4:48Speaker 3: have the most the longest relationship with everyone else is
- 4:51Speaker 3: kind of new to me. Yeah, It's It's a fascinating idea,
- 4:56Speaker 3: and I think Nick lache is a great host, and
- 4:59Speaker 3: I I just love the idea of people having to
- 5:01Speaker 3: become like American gladiators while they're also like making out.
- 5:04Speaker 3: That's something that's really exciting to me.
- 5:06Speaker 2: It feels like to me, I had a lot of
- 5:08Speaker 2: hesitancy when iHeart asked us to break down perfect match.
- 5:12Speaker 2: I am not a reality television guru. I feel like
- 5:16Speaker 2: I could claim that I know about as much about
- 5:20Speaker 2: The Bachelor as anybody else in the world because of
- 5:24Speaker 2: my experience on The Bachelor and my long standing relationship
- 5:27Speaker 2: with the show. I don't necessary I would never claim
- 5:31Speaker 2: to be a reality television person. I don't watch a
- 5:34Speaker 2: lot of reality television, so I was hesitant. I'll just
- 5:39Speaker 2: say this Easton. I mean, I binged a lot of
- 5:42Speaker 2: episodes because I was enjoying it. I started out almost
- 5:49Speaker 2: this makes me sound like a prude, but it's not
- 5:52Speaker 2: like I was almost started the episode one disgusted, like, Wow,
- 5:57Speaker 2: this is so horny. People are picking things off of
- 6:00Speaker 2: each other without even knowing each other's names. Yeah, they're
- 6:05Speaker 2: sleeping in the same beds a couple hours after meeting.
- 6:10Speaker 2: And then I got into it a little bit more
- 6:12Speaker 2: throughout the episode, and I started to really engage and say,
- 6:16Speaker 2: I like the concept. Now, are you a Netflix like
- 6:20Speaker 2: reality show fan? Do you watch any other shows?
- 6:23Speaker 3: No, I haven't seen them. I'm familiar with the concepts,
- 6:26Speaker 3: but I have not watched any of the Netflix like,
- 6:29Speaker 3: I haven't watched like what would that be? Too Hot
- 6:31Speaker 3: to Handle? I think and Ultimatum. And it's interesting at
- 6:36Speaker 3: least because I only watched The Love Is Blind. I've
- 6:39Speaker 3: only watched the first episode of Perfect Match because I
- 6:41Speaker 3: followed the homework to a te I watched the first episode,
- 6:44Speaker 3: nothing more. But I think it's interesting watching the contestants
- 6:49Speaker 3: bring the in my opinion, the attitudes of the shows
- 6:53Speaker 3: that they originated on to like the guys from Too Hot,
- 6:56Speaker 3: the guy from Too Hot to Handle, He's like, I
- 6:58Speaker 3: am I want to have sex, I am here to
- 7:01Speaker 3: have I am attracted to people, and I think I
- 7:04Speaker 3: am attractive. I can't wait to bone down. And then
- 7:06Speaker 3: like Clayton, for example, is like, wow, we stayed up
- 7:09Speaker 3: all night talking and like someone who it comes from
- 7:12Speaker 3: a show where you build a relationship that you're hopefully
- 7:15Speaker 3: going to end in an engagement. You know, I thought
- 7:17Speaker 3: that was kind of interesting.
- 7:18Speaker 2: So we were always honest here. If we don't like something,
- 7:21Speaker 2: I think we feel free to say it. Oh yeah,
- 7:24Speaker 2: would you categorize Perfect Match episode one as something you like? Yes?
- 7:29Speaker 3: I would. And that is again from someone that I'll
- 7:34Speaker 3: be honest. I watched Bachelor Winter Games because I knew
- 7:37Speaker 3: like half the cast, like personally, and I was like,
- 7:39Speaker 3: I can't I can't do it, man.
- 7:41Speaker 2: I got Yeah.
- 7:43Speaker 3: I saw there's a part where Ashley was like sliding
- 7:45Speaker 3: down a snowy hillside like on her butt, and I
- 7:47Speaker 3: was like, I can't do this.
- 7:48Speaker 2: I'm sorry, it's tough.
- 7:50Speaker 3: But I enjoyed Perfect Match. I'm going to watch the
- 7:53Speaker 3: rest of the season. I had a lot of fun
- 7:55Speaker 3: and I think it's a really fascinating show and I'm
- 7:57Speaker 3: excited to see how these people navigate these obstacles and relationships.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I enjoyed it. I think a big reason why
- 8:04Speaker 2: I enjoyed it is because I was able to follow it.
- 8:07Speaker 2: As not a fan of Perfect Match. I was able
- 8:10Speaker 2: to tune into episode one, and by the time that
- 8:12Speaker 2: episode was done, I was like, I know what this
- 8:14Speaker 2: show's about, Like I get it. Yes, I understand it.
- 8:17Speaker 2: I know the characters, i know how new characters are introduced.
- 8:21Speaker 2: I'm familiar with the format, and I enjoyed that because
- 8:24Speaker 2: it didn't feel like I was playing catch up at all.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Yes, definitely, they really make it accessible for people that
- 8:30Speaker 3: are jumping in now.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Yeah's as simple as can be. I mean, if you
- 8:33Speaker 2: can't track this episode, you know what, Like it's just
- 8:37Speaker 2: dirty television. Like if you can't get on this, like
- 8:39Speaker 2: you might want to figure your life out. So here's
- 8:42Speaker 2: how we go. For those that don't know what Perfect
- 8:44Speaker 2: Match is. It is on Netflix. The series features contestants
- 8:47Speaker 2: from other Netflix reality shows, along with obviously shows not
- 8:52Speaker 2: on Netflix. I don't know if Rachel and Clayton are
- 8:57Speaker 2: the two first non Netflix people on Perfect Match. Our
- 9:03Speaker 2: producer is writing in saying it is a first. We're
- 9:07Speaker 2: in season three now, so three seasons in the first
- 9:10Speaker 2: time anybody outside of Netflix has come into this universe.
- 9:16Speaker 2: It shows couples pair up to compete in challenges is.
- 9:19Speaker 2: They compete to formulationships. The most compatible couples then play matchmaker,
- 9:24Speaker 2: breaking up other couples and sending them on dates with
- 9:26Speaker 2: brand new singles they'll invite into the villa. The series
- 9:30Speaker 2: is hosted by Nick lache As Easton said, great host,
- 9:34Speaker 2: really fun for this. I feel like he fits it well.
- 9:37Speaker 2: It is entertaining. Let's start with the entry of Perfect Match. Easton,
- 9:45Speaker 2: you want to take it away?
- 9:46Speaker 3: Yeah, it's The intro was very cute, a little kind
- 9:49Speaker 3: of like produced bit of a nick lache, looking like
- 9:54Speaker 3: Castaway's like Tom Hanksey sitting on a beach, looking like
- 9:58Speaker 3: he's been there.
- 9:58Speaker 2: For a while.
- 9:59Speaker 3: He's lost on it as a island. He's talking to
- 10:00Speaker 3: a coconut, not unlike Wilson the volleyball in the award
- 10:03Speaker 3: winning film. And he gets a message in a bottle
- 10:07Speaker 3: that reads, it's time the moment I've been waiting for coke.
- 10:11Speaker 3: And then he says, Coco, we're out of here. And
- 10:15Speaker 3: so I'm assuming he was marooned on this island. But
- 10:17Speaker 3: now he's gotten the call. He's headed to Tuloom. He's
- 10:19Speaker 3: got to make love happen. It's time for a perfect match.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Ten of the sexiest singles from around the world then
- 10:26Speaker 2: show up to this villa. Now Nick calls them ten
- 10:33Speaker 2: of the sexiest singles in the world. I think they
- 10:38Speaker 2: are ten of the most forward singles, and maybe nine
- 10:42Speaker 2: of the most forward singles in the world. I do
- 10:44Speaker 2: feel like Clayton did not work or does not fit
- 10:46Speaker 2: this show at all, because he is there for a wife,
- 10:49Speaker 2: and I think everybody else is there for just a
- 10:54Speaker 2: fun hookup, like a reason to share a bed with
- 10:58Speaker 2: somebody as quickly as possible.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Yeah, that was something I was trying to like kind
- 11:02Speaker 3: of talk myself through as I was watching it, is
- 11:04Speaker 3: that I I am so in Bachelor World. So I
- 11:07Speaker 3: was like when people were talking about the matches and like, oh,
- 11:10Speaker 3: I think I found my person, and I'm like, oh
- 11:11Speaker 3: my god, they're going to get engaged. How fun? And
- 11:13Speaker 3: then I kept remind reminding myself, like the prize is
- 11:16Speaker 3: you get to go on a vacation, I think, And
- 11:20Speaker 3: so maybe they don't, like maybe they just want to
- 11:23Speaker 3: have sex and spend time with this person, they don't
- 11:25Speaker 3: want to get married to them, and yeah, I don't know.
- 11:28Speaker 3: So it's interesting because I too, just like Clayton, I
- 11:32Speaker 3: had to break myself of that at that mindset.
- 11:35Speaker 2: In your opinion, do you like this more or less?
- 11:39Speaker 3: Much more? This is much more realistic?
- 11:42Speaker 2: Yeah? Okay, yeah I think it is. I think it's
- 11:44Speaker 2: much more relatable for the average watching nobody's watching perfect
- 11:49Speaker 2: Match being like how could you not make out with
- 11:51Speaker 2: that human? Or how did you make out with that
- 11:53Speaker 2: human twenty four hours? If nomen it's like, well, you
- 11:55Speaker 2: know that's happened in our life before. Whereas you know,
- 11:58Speaker 2: the Bachelor World, I do think has this huge hurdle
- 12:00Speaker 2: to prove to the audience that these people actually are
- 12:02Speaker 2: in love and want to get married.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Yes, exactly. So ten of the sexiest singles from as
- 12:09Speaker 3: Nick said, from around the world show up and they're
- 12:12Speaker 3: trying to find their chance at love. I something I
- 12:15Speaker 3: thought was interesting as they film the like, god, there's
- 12:21Speaker 3: a term for it. They'll like interview segments where there
- 12:24Speaker 3: where they contestants are them I TM, so in the moment,
- 12:26Speaker 3: is that what that stands for?
- 12:27Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 12:28Speaker 3: Yeah, look at me. I'm just like I was there
- 12:31Speaker 3: getting a rose myself as they're when they're filming the ims,
- 12:35Speaker 3: it's they start with this really wide shot where they're
- 12:37Speaker 3: sitting in front of like a rainbow rainbow corridor is
- 12:41Speaker 3: not unlike the Netflix logo, and uh sitting in a
- 12:45Speaker 3: chair and to me, like the angle was very off putting.
- 12:48Speaker 3: It's like at crotch level. That really wide shot just
- 12:51Speaker 3: made me feel like they're just alone in a warehouse
- 12:53Speaker 3: talking to It kind of bumped me a little bit.
- 12:56Speaker 3: But uh, I thought that was kind of interesting and
- 13:00Speaker 3: we kind of get to we get introduced to a
- 13:02Speaker 3: few of the couples as they enter the villa. One
- 13:05Speaker 3: of the first guys is Louis from Love Is Blind
- 13:07Speaker 3: and I Ben was texting last night about this guy.
- 13:10Speaker 2: I have a legit, legitimate question about this guy. I
- 13:13Speaker 2: think he's actually a really fun hang and look, I
- 13:17Speaker 2: watch him, like, you're like so many of my friends.
- 13:19Speaker 2: You are like funny, you know, you are young and
- 13:23Speaker 2: just excitable. The thing that stood up to me was
- 13:27Speaker 2: he continued to talk about how large of an asset
- 13:31Speaker 2: he had in his pants.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Like I can't remember exactly what he says, but he
- 13:35Speaker 3: comes out the gate just talking about how big a
- 13:36Speaker 3: hog is.
- 13:37Speaker 2: And I feel like so my question to the group
- 13:40Speaker 2: last night was, if somebody talks about how big of
- 13:43Speaker 2: a hog they have so often and consistently, you would
- 13:47Speaker 2: assume that it's not very big, right.
- 13:50Speaker 3: That's what I would assume as a as a hog
- 13:53Speaker 3: honing man, I would assume the more you hear about
- 13:56Speaker 3: how big it is, the smaller it is.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Yeah, you're proving something to somebody. You're you're saying it
- 14:01Speaker 2: hoping that nobody actually ever has to can never prove
- 14:05Speaker 2: that it's true. Again, I enjoy him as a character.
- 14:10Speaker 2: I question his I question his confidence in himself when
- 14:16Speaker 2: it comes to his ability to impress anybody else on
- 14:20Speaker 2: that beach. I'm going to make the assumption Easton that
- 14:22Speaker 2: everybody there is well endowed because they look like they are.
- 14:25Speaker 3: There's stuff like they're all right. He's also very insecure
- 14:31Speaker 3: about his age. He kept bringing up everyone can ask
- 14:33Speaker 3: him how old he was. He's twenty three years old,
- 14:34Speaker 3: and he's like, I'm a full grown mind. Don't talk
- 14:38Speaker 3: about how old I am. You know he's Yeah. So
- 14:42Speaker 3: I'm interested to see how his confidence plays out throughout
- 14:45Speaker 3: this show. But we're going into it, I'm feeling like
- 14:47Speaker 3: he's very insecure, so I jumped ahead. I'm sorry. Louis
- 14:51Speaker 3: just caught my eye originally because of how he introduced himself.
- 14:55Speaker 3: But he's not the first one to arrive. The first
- 14:57Speaker 3: one on the beach is Ad and Sandy from Love
- 15:00Speaker 3: is Blind. Sandy is from The Ultimatum, and I enjoy Ad.
- 15:07Speaker 3: I like her a lot. I think she's a lot
- 15:08Speaker 3: of fun. I think I think she's very attractive, and
- 15:12Speaker 3: she wants a tall, muscular guy with huge features, and
- 15:20Speaker 3: Sandy wants a bad boy on the outside and a
- 15:22Speaker 3: softy on the inside.
- 15:34Speaker 2: There's a lot of innu windows going on in the
- 15:36Speaker 2: entries of these contestants. There you can tell right away
- 15:40Speaker 2: what kind of show we're getting into. This is a show,
- 15:43Speaker 2: like you said that are just a couple of people
- 15:45Speaker 2: showing up the beach to hook up.
- 15:46Speaker 3: Yes, exactly exactly. They're trying to set the stage here,
- 15:50Speaker 3: like this is a show where it's gonna be people
- 15:52Speaker 3: having sex and hanging out. If no one's getting down
- 15:55Speaker 3: on one knee, at the end of this show, they
- 15:57Speaker 3: might be getting down on two knees.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Been not one. Ady and Sandy, we have Louie and Cody.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Cody is from Temptation Island. He is a Southern gentleman.
- 16:10Speaker 2: He says he knows he's a catch, which if you
- 16:12Speaker 2: listen to the show before you know, I always go
- 16:14Speaker 2: if you say you're a catch, you've got some things
- 16:18Speaker 2: about you that might make you not a catch le
- 16:21Speaker 2: if somebody else tell you you're a catch. Cody thinks
- 16:24Speaker 2: he's a catch, and the girls love his Southern twain.
- 16:28Speaker 3: Yeah, Cody again comes from one of these. He comes
- 16:31Speaker 3: from a universe that is like so sexually motivated, Like
- 16:36Speaker 3: like the point of Temptation Island is to like try
- 16:38Speaker 3: to get you to cheat on your partner, So you know,
- 16:41Speaker 3: I'm curious what his ambitions are here, but again reinforcing
- 16:44Speaker 3: what type of show perfect matches. And we've discussed Louie,
- 16:48Speaker 3: we will continue to discuss Louie. We can move on
- 16:52Speaker 3: to Lucy and Madison. Another Lucy, another brit from Too
- 16:56Speaker 3: Hot to Handle, and I thought she was fun, but
- 16:59Speaker 3: also she was like she was trying to describe herself
- 17:01Speaker 3: and her personality and she's like, I'm so fun. I'm
- 17:04Speaker 3: like the kind of like person you can get out
- 17:06Speaker 3: of your mind. I'm like a disease. I'm like a virus,
- 17:09Speaker 3: but like the good kind. And I was like, oh,
- 17:12Speaker 3: that's a weird way to describe yourself, but.
- 17:15Speaker 2: I enjoyed it, especially on this show. It's very very
- 17:18Speaker 2: you know, you got to stay away from the disease talk.
- 17:21Speaker 3: Yes, exactly, And we'll find out if Lucy is it
- 17:25Speaker 3: will become a super spreader event. Madison is from Love
- 17:28Speaker 3: is Blind and she loves a bad boy with tattoos
- 17:32Speaker 3: and she also drives a motorcycle. Madison's very cool. I
- 17:36Speaker 3: think Madison has a tattoo on her hand, which I
- 17:38Speaker 3: thought was interesting, and her belly and her belly. Yeah,
- 17:41Speaker 3: she's bull blasted herself.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, so far we have a trend. It
- 17:46Speaker 2: seems like the people coming on Perfect Match and the
- 17:49Speaker 2: Netflix reality shows want a bad boy. Nobody's describing Clayton here, Like,
- 17:55Speaker 2: so far we have no Clayton describers, Right, I want
- 17:58Speaker 2: a guy to ask me about my virtual journey and
- 18:01Speaker 2: my biggest fears and what I want out of this.
- 18:04Speaker 2: On Night one, they're like, I am here for a
- 18:07Speaker 2: bad boy. I am here for a tall, muscular man
- 18:12Speaker 2: with big features. These are not people coming in. Like
- 18:16Speaker 2: what I appreciate about them is they're not hiding anything.
- 18:20Speaker 2: I think on The Bachelor you might have some people
- 18:22Speaker 2: that would fit on Perfect Match, they just choose not
- 18:25Speaker 2: to say it or it doesn't get aired at least
- 18:28Speaker 2: Madison and Lucy so far and a d especially like
- 18:32Speaker 2: they're saying what they want and they're just having a
- 18:36Speaker 2: good time going after it.
- 18:38Speaker 3: Yes, exactly, exactly, And I think that's very interesting. And
- 18:42Speaker 3: also like when they're doing the ims and you can tell,
- 18:46Speaker 3: like the producer asks them like what are you looking for?
- 18:49Speaker 3: I thought it was interesting how little we were hearing
- 18:52Speaker 3: about like personalities, no, no, no, not at all. Something
- 18:57Speaker 3: else I was thinking about while watching this is that
- 19:00Speaker 3: I keep forgetting that because it's on Netflix, they can
- 19:02Speaker 3: like say bad words like they can say swear words,
- 19:05Speaker 3: and uh, I'm in my mind of when we record
- 19:08Speaker 3: the Almost Famous podcast. I mean, you guys, are you
- 19:10Speaker 3: and Ashley pretty clean? But like most of the time
- 19:13Speaker 3: I have to watch out in case you guys say
- 19:14Speaker 3: a bad word and after write it down so we
- 19:15Speaker 3: can cut it out. And I'm watching Perfect Match and
- 19:17Speaker 3: whenever they would say a naughty word, that part of
- 19:20Speaker 3: my brain would go off, like, oh I write that down.
- 19:23Speaker 3: No I don't. I don't work on this show and
- 19:25Speaker 3: it's already done, so I don't worry about that. But
- 19:27Speaker 3: that's kind of fun. And I'm hoping that beyond beyond
- 19:31Speaker 3: the swearing, I hope we get some nudity on here too.
- 19:33Speaker 3: I'm praying for that. I don't think I'm gonna get
- 19:35Speaker 3: it that. I don't see why not. It's Netflix. They
- 19:37Speaker 3: can show nudity. I don't think we're going to see it,
- 19:40Speaker 3: but they can if they want to.
- 19:42Speaker 2: I think I think we saw previews for like, uh,
- 19:46Speaker 2: maybe Temptation Island or something, and I was like, that
- 19:49Speaker 2: feels like aggressive television to watch. Yes, like you are,
- 19:55Speaker 2: you are watching like without and I'm with you. I'm
- 19:58Speaker 2: in this Bachelor mindset where it's like this is on ABC,
- 20:01Speaker 2: like family watches together. And I have never seen a
- 20:04Speaker 2: Netflix like reality show. So it is taking a little
- 20:07Speaker 2: bit to get used to just with what's being said,
- 20:11Speaker 2: what's being talked about, and what they can show and
- 20:14Speaker 2: not show. Just a side note here, Easton and I
- 20:19Speaker 2: would I would put myself into this category when it
- 20:21Speaker 2: came to the Bachelor when I did it. If you're
- 20:23Speaker 2: going on Temptation Island in the Perfect Match, can you
- 20:27Speaker 2: really say that you're a catch like you're going to
- 20:30Speaker 2: Like you're going on a show that you know is
- 20:32Speaker 2: set up for you to cheat on your significant other,
- 20:35Speaker 2: and then you're going on Perfect Match, a show that
- 20:37Speaker 2: you know is just like dating around as much as
- 20:39Speaker 2: you can to strategically get to the end. I don't
- 20:43Speaker 2: know if you're in a place in life to claim
- 20:45Speaker 2: that you are a catch.
- 20:46Speaker 3: I have to agree with you. I think, yeah, just
- 20:49Speaker 3: by being involved with this show negates your catchiness.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Unfortunately, Yeah, I mean I do think.
- 20:55Speaker 1: So.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Okay, Daniel and Ali come in next. Daniel is from
- 20:59Speaker 2: Dated and re Related. Oh. I don't even know what
- 21:01Speaker 2: the show is, but it just sounds bad.
- 21:05Speaker 3: I had never heard of Dated and Related and I'm
- 21:08Speaker 3: scared of what the show is.
- 21:10Speaker 2: It's single siblings that go on a dating show and
- 21:14Speaker 2: then like date at the like so you're like sisters
- 21:16Speaker 2: in the same house with you.
- 21:19Speaker 3: You have to date like in front of like your
- 21:21Speaker 3: siblings are there and you're like they're watching you date
- 21:25Speaker 3: and vice versa. It's like date my Mom. I remember
- 21:27Speaker 3: that show on MTV, like your mom would watch you
- 21:29Speaker 3: go on a date kind of.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I want to know the people that like come
- 21:33Speaker 2: up with these ideas. I don't love them, but yeah.
- 21:36Speaker 2: He's an Italian stallion. He's tall, fit, uh and self
- 21:40Speaker 2: proclaimed very good in the bedroom. Ollie is a brit
- 21:43Speaker 2: from Love Is Blind UK. He's looking for a sweet, natured,
- 21:47Speaker 2: kind and funny girl. If she's a batty, it's a bonus. Easton.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Can you describe Battie to us please?
- 21:56Speaker 3: I was thinking about that too. Abattie is I think,
- 22:00Speaker 3: especially how Allie means it. I think he means someone
- 22:02Speaker 3: who is adventure I want to say aggressive, adventurous, uninhibited, attractive.
- 22:13Speaker 3: I think if someone is described as a baddie. That
- 22:15Speaker 3: means they're attractive. Uh, that's how I would describe baddie.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Okay, baddie. Juliet is next from MTV CS to Key,
- 22:23Speaker 2: so a non Netflix show. She keeps hinting at this
- 22:27Speaker 2: kind of toxicity that she displayed during her time on
- 22:31Speaker 2: cis KEY. I have no clue what she's talking about,
- 22:33Speaker 2: but I'm assuming that a lot of listeners out there
- 22:35Speaker 2: will know exactly what we're talking about. I think she
- 22:37Speaker 2: was a pretty polarizing also a pretty big figure on
- 22:42Speaker 2: CS to Key, very pretty. And finally we got Clayton.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Clayton dances his way into his intro package. The dancing
- 22:51Speaker 2: that's become something we know and love, and then I'm
- 22:54Speaker 2: hoping not only brings some joy but also allows him
- 23:00Speaker 2: some type of financial stability, because goodness gracious, this dude
- 23:03Speaker 2: is getting either made fun of a lot or celebrated
- 23:07Speaker 2: a lot for his dancing these days.
- 23:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I was trained, you know, dancing was such a
- 23:12Speaker 3: big part of his like intro package on this and
- 23:14Speaker 3: the last time he's been on the Almost Famous podcast,
- 23:17Speaker 3: he's talked about his dancing a lot, and I was
- 23:19Speaker 3: trying to remember, like did this come up at all
- 23:21Speaker 3: during his time as the Bachelor. I feel like this
- 23:23Speaker 3: was like a post bachelor thing that he like. And
- 23:25Speaker 3: then he says like, Oh, I've always loved dancing. I
- 23:28Speaker 3: used to dance as a kid. Now we get made
- 23:29Speaker 3: fun of. And then now he's an adult, he's like
- 23:32Speaker 3: rediscovering his love of dance. And he's a fine dancer
- 23:35Speaker 3: from what I've seen. You know, the passion's there.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Yeah, he's doing it on you know, he claims he's
- 23:42Speaker 2: doing it, And I do agree that he's doing because
- 23:44Speaker 2: he loves it and that he finds joy in it
- 23:48Speaker 2: and that it brings him happiness to know that he
- 23:51Speaker 2: can do it because he knows he's gonna get made
- 23:53Speaker 2: fun of, but he has the confidence to kind of
- 23:54Speaker 2: show the world he doesn't care, which, hey, I'm all
- 23:58Speaker 2: for it. Keep dancing, clar and dance your way into this.
- 24:01Speaker 2: But we find him on Perfect Match again. Nick Lache's
- 24:04Speaker 2: the host. He comes down and as Easton mentioned, Nick
- 24:07Speaker 2: kind of explains during this that the winning couple wins
- 24:10Speaker 2: a romantic vacation anywhere in the world to continue their relationship.
- 24:13Speaker 2: So if you win the Perfect Match, you get to
- 24:16Speaker 2: spend more time with your person from the show anywhere
- 24:20Speaker 2: in the world. I hope it's a good vacation. The
- 24:23Speaker 2: episode kind of transitions fairly quickly Easton into a game
- 24:27Speaker 2: that they're gonna play get to know you game. More
- 24:29Speaker 2: or less, nobody there really knows each other. There's a
- 24:32Speaker 2: few from similar shows, or maybe they watch somebody's show.
- 24:36Speaker 2: It's called Let's Puck again. That's puck, p u c K,
- 24:40Speaker 2: Let's puck. It's fun game. They drop a puck down
- 24:44Speaker 2: a board. It lands on a specific category including like
- 24:49Speaker 2: yoga moves and truth and truth or dare or body shots.
- 24:55Speaker 2: I mean, it's a good get to know you game.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Like it definitely starts to fire out hot. But the
- 25:00Speaker 2: thing I'm missing here is as Nick comes down, he
- 25:02Speaker 2: starts asking questions. Clayton right away throws out more aggressively
- 25:08Speaker 2: than anybody else there, and I think this is part
- 25:09Speaker 2: of his strategy when it comes to Perfect Match and
- 25:12Speaker 2: his new revived Clayton persona is He says, I'm into Lucy,
- 25:18Speaker 2: like I like that girl. Right away he shoots his shot.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Yes, I admire how because like again we've been talking
- 25:28Speaker 3: about how Clayton is a more emotionally connected guy on
- 25:32Speaker 3: Perfect Match than the other people, but I appreciate him
- 25:35Speaker 3: singling someone out right away as we play let's puck
- 25:40Speaker 3: and it lands on, it lands on body shots. And
- 25:44Speaker 3: we were talking about this off the air before we started.
- 25:46Speaker 3: But this show, this show is filmed with very high
- 25:49Speaker 3: definition cameras and we're in twenty twenty five. We're using
- 25:52Speaker 3: state of the art stuff. And I know other reality
- 25:54Speaker 3: shows deal with this too, but we can really see
- 25:57Speaker 3: how people are feeling in the temperature and tu loom.
- 26:00Speaker 3: Everyone is sweaty, everyone is glistening, and we get to
- 26:03Speaker 3: find out that that sweat goes all the way down
- 26:05Speaker 3: because when Juliette does a body shot out of Clayton's
- 26:09Speaker 3: belly button and she says to everybody, there was some
- 26:12Speaker 3: sweat mixed in there.
- 26:13Speaker 2: And I just don't feel like that's a good start.
- 26:15Speaker 3: No, it's not.
- 26:16Speaker 2: I don't think it's like a thing that's fun for anybody.
- 26:19Speaker 2: I don't. I have never met a human that's like,
- 26:21Speaker 2: you know what, I'm into sweat.
- 26:23Speaker 3: Yeah, it's yeah, it's gross, and even in the best circumstances,
- 26:28Speaker 3: you know, it's still kind of bumps me. It's salty
- 26:31Speaker 3: and weird.
- 26:31Speaker 2: It's salty and weird, and it's and it's an excretion
- 26:35Speaker 2: things in our body that we need to get rid of.
- 26:38Speaker 2: So it is it is a bodily you know, liquid
- 26:43Speaker 2: that comes out of our pores and does taste very salty.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Juliette does not seem to love it quite honestly. I mean,
- 26:52Speaker 2: I think from the initial kind of comment she's like,
- 26:55Speaker 2: it was fine, but I didn't love what I tasted.
- 26:59Speaker 2: So Clayton does drop the puck, gets a body shot
- 27:04Speaker 2: from Juliette. Next up is or Juliette drops a puck,
- 27:08Speaker 2: gets Clayton. Next up is Clayton. He drops a puck
- 27:11Speaker 2: and luckily for him, he gets Lucy and gets to
- 27:15Speaker 2: tease her. Is the category with an ice cube wherever?
- 27:20Speaker 3: He may like, Yeah, I thought that was interesting because
- 27:24Speaker 3: it just says tease with an ice cube, So I
- 27:26Speaker 3: was like, what what does that mean? Is it like,
- 27:27Speaker 3: are you gonna like wiggle the ice cube in front
- 27:29Speaker 3: of them or like that's honestly the first thing kid in.
- 27:33Speaker 2: My mind, that'd be amazing a power move yep, well no,
- 27:36Speaker 2: no not.
- 27:38Speaker 3: But Clayton, Clayton knows what he's doing. He puts it
- 27:41Speaker 3: in his mouth and he drags it up her body,
- 27:42Speaker 3: and you know, like, I think Clayton is a goofy dude,
- 27:46Speaker 3: and but I thought this was I thought this was
- 27:49Speaker 3: pretty hot.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Uh.
- 27:50Speaker 3: And then he ends it by putting ice cube in
- 27:52Speaker 3: her mouth, and uh, I thought they were gonna end
- 27:55Speaker 3: up kissing. They don't. He just puts it in her
- 27:57Speaker 3: mouth and I think she starts chewing on it.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't know if Lucy showed much affection towards
- 28:04Speaker 2: Clayton at any point this episode, even though he was very,
- 28:08Speaker 2: very forward in his interest to her. We also got
- 28:11Speaker 2: Lucy and Cody doing a yoga pose. We got Adi
- 28:13Speaker 2: and Ali doing a yoga pose. Madison and Louie get
- 28:18Speaker 2: paired up again. We're getting netflixy here. Louie gets eats
- 28:23Speaker 2: a strawberry from between her breasts, and Daniel chooses Juliette.
- 28:30Speaker 2: At the very end, he lands on truth or dare
- 28:32Speaker 2: dares Juliet to kiss him. They do kiss, really the
- 28:39Speaker 2: first like real kiss we have seen this season.
- 28:42Speaker 3: Yes, I mean, Adi and Ali do this like yoga
- 28:45Speaker 3: post thing, and they do lock lips a bit, But
- 28:49Speaker 3: when Daniel and Juliet kiss, it's a that is teetering
- 28:53Speaker 3: on makeout. If you ask me, there was tongue. That
- 28:55Speaker 3: was an intense, intense kiss in front of everybody. Everyone's
- 28:59Speaker 3: really riled up to to get physical here.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Ollie really matches AD's description for us. She's looking for doesnty, Yes,
- 29:07Speaker 2: very much so tall, handsome, strong.
- 29:11Speaker 3: They they do I'm sorry, I can't remember. This is
- 29:13Speaker 3: later in the episode or not, but they do a
- 29:14Speaker 3: flashback to a d on Love is Blind, and h
- 29:20Speaker 3: I was blown away by the clip they showed because
- 29:23Speaker 3: it's like, it's it's a and I forgive you know,
- 29:25Speaker 3: forgive me. I've not seen Love is Blind. I don't
- 29:27Speaker 3: know how the show really works. But they're they're at
- 29:29Speaker 3: a wedding. It's a full blown wedding. They're at the altar,
- 29:32Speaker 3: she's in a wedding dresser, a guests and the guy
- 29:34Speaker 3: she's with they're like, do you take you know, I
- 29:37Speaker 3: can't remember what her full name is, but you take
- 29:39Speaker 3: Ad to be your wife? And he's like, I'm sorry,
- 29:41Speaker 3: but I can't do this. And I was like, wow,
- 29:46Speaker 3: what is this show? You get to do a full
- 29:47Speaker 3: wedding and the guy is like undecided still, And that's
- 29:50Speaker 3: the when you find out. I felt terrible for her.
- 29:52Speaker 3: I hope she she seems to be having a lot
- 29:54Speaker 3: of fun with with Allie here, but I feel so
- 29:59Speaker 3: bad for her having ended love is blind in that manner.
- 30:01Speaker 2: That's crazy. Yeah, I think I think I watched that
- 30:05Speaker 2: clip and when this is even crazier television. And here's
- 30:10Speaker 2: my concern for myself Easton. The Perfect Match is going
- 30:14Speaker 2: to get me into watching a lot of reality television
- 30:17Speaker 2: because I'm gonna be so hooked on the craziness. The
- 30:21Speaker 2: fact that I cannot see myself there on this show
- 30:25Speaker 2: is also the same thing that makes me go, I
- 30:27Speaker 2: want to know about these humans that do agree to
- 30:29Speaker 2: go there on this show.
- 30:30Speaker 3: It made me wonder, like because the Bachelor does this,
- 30:33Speaker 3: like they'll do little games and stuff like that, but
- 30:35Speaker 3: like when you were the Bachelor, Like, did they make
- 30:38Speaker 3: you play a game where you like, did you have
- 30:40Speaker 3: to do like a truth or dair type of thing
- 30:42Speaker 3: or was there anything that made it physical for you
- 30:44Speaker 3: when you when you were on when you were the Bachelor?
- 30:47Speaker 2: Uh No, there was never that. Uh And and most
- 30:50Speaker 2: of the games were like very PG. In fact, I
- 30:54Speaker 2: think they were incredibly PG. And I think that's what
- 30:58Speaker 2: you get in like Netflix is, they push the limits.
- 31:03Speaker 2: But for me, I would have felt very uncomfortable and
- 31:06Speaker 2: probably based on how I want to operate in life,
- 31:09Speaker 2: would have to say no to most of the things
- 31:11Speaker 2: I saw in the first episode of Perfect Match, Like
- 31:14Speaker 2: I would not be a good contestant on that show.
- 31:16Speaker 2: I would be saying no. Somebody's like, hey, you roll
- 31:19Speaker 2: body shot, take a body shot off of them, be like,
- 31:21Speaker 2: I can't do it. Not my thing. It's not who
- 31:24Speaker 2: I want to be. But I respect and enjoy watching
- 31:29Speaker 2: people do it that aren't me. Yeah, I'm having a
- 31:34Speaker 2: good time with it. You know. At this point, I
- 31:38Speaker 2: think in the episode Eaeson, I'm learning that this show
- 31:40Speaker 2: is not about a future love connection. It is about
- 31:43Speaker 2: a partner to get through this process with. We get
- 31:47Speaker 2: through the game, it's a lot of fun. They get
- 31:50Speaker 2: to know each other very intimately, and then we kind
- 31:54Speaker 2: of get our traditional reality television cocktail hour where everybody
- 31:57Speaker 2: gets to meet and chat. A few things stand out
- 31:59Speaker 2: to me during this cocktail hour. One the couples that
- 32:02Speaker 2: already seem to be coupling very quickly, that does seem
- 32:07Speaker 2: to be at first, it does seem to be Daniel
- 32:12Speaker 2: and Juliette. I think, isn't juliet the one he sucked
- 32:15Speaker 2: the toes of Yes? Yeah, he's very into it to
- 32:22Speaker 2: second count, he could have gone twenty, no questions. He
- 32:25Speaker 2: and Juliette seem to have a spark. Clayton is still
- 32:29Speaker 2: going for Lucy. I don't see it happening Ady and Ali,
- 32:33Speaker 2: I think right away, I'm like, this is a couple
- 32:36Speaker 2: that could last, actually last, Like, I hope this show
- 32:40Speaker 2: doesn't break them apart because I feel like they've got
- 32:42Speaker 2: something special. It's that bachelor chemistry that's oozing through the screen.
- 32:47Speaker 3: Yes, absolutely, and during this cocktail hour, and I believe
- 32:54Speaker 3: this is when this happens. Leuis starts freestyling, that's always
- 32:59Speaker 3: to me. I don't mean to harp on Louis so much.
- 33:02Speaker 3: I'm interested in him. I think he's a cool guy
- 33:03Speaker 3: and I really love his energy. But like when when
- 33:06Speaker 3: guys start freestyling, it always gives me pause.
- 33:09Speaker 2: And I agree it's a wild thing to do or
- 33:13Speaker 2: claim you're good.
- 33:14Speaker 3: At exactly, and I'm excited to see if he continues
- 33:17Speaker 3: to do it throughout the season. Is this the last
- 33:18Speaker 3: time we hear his freestyling? I'm hoping not as much
- 33:21Speaker 3: as it kind of bumped me. But but yeah, and
- 33:25Speaker 3: the toast sucking too, I want to go back to
- 33:27Speaker 3: because like they're on a beach, they're walking around. Man,
- 33:34Speaker 3: I don't I don't care how into it I into
- 33:36Speaker 3: somebody I am. It's gonna take a lot for me
- 33:37Speaker 3: to want to suck toes. I'm also there's another foot
- 33:41Speaker 3: part in this episode. Cody spills his drink on Madison
- 33:44Speaker 3: and she's like, oh no, my my Balenciaga is just
- 33:48Speaker 3: kidding their target and then like he's like cleaning it up,
- 33:50Speaker 3: and the camera like really zooms in on her feet
- 33:52Speaker 3: and they're taking it off, and I'm like, oh man,
- 33:54Speaker 3: what producer has like a foot thing on this show.
- 33:57Speaker 3: I do.
- 33:59Speaker 2: Think in that course of that Cody did mention he
- 34:01Speaker 2: would look at off her feet, and I think he did.
- 34:04Speaker 2: She was kind enough to be like, I wouldn't do
- 34:06Speaker 2: that if I was you, Like, I don't think they're
- 34:08Speaker 2: in a good place to be getting licked right now.
- 34:12Speaker 2: It's been a long day. I am in shoes, I
- 34:16Speaker 2: have walked the beach. You just spilt on me. There's
- 34:18Speaker 2: a lot of things going on down there that I
- 34:21Speaker 2: just would probably prefer you and you would probably prefer
- 34:24Speaker 2: not to taste.
- 34:25Speaker 3: Yes, exactly.
- 34:37Speaker 2: Easton. Am I fair to say that when it comes
- 34:39Speaker 2: to these shows, any level of elementary hygiene lessons are
- 34:46Speaker 2: thrown out the window.
- 34:47Speaker 3: Yeah, especially the ones that like take place on the beach.
- 34:52Speaker 3: You're going in pools, you're going swimming a lot, you're sweating.
- 34:57Speaker 3: Most importantly, I think you really got it, row all
- 35:00Speaker 3: your expectations out the window. I know you you haven't
- 35:04Speaker 3: been in paradise, but like, I'm so curious, like is
- 35:07Speaker 3: everyone how much grooming do they allow?
- 35:09Speaker 1: You?
- 35:10Speaker 3: Are you able to not just allow, but like are
- 35:11Speaker 3: you able to do? Like does everyone just smelling like garbage?
- 35:14Speaker 3: And you have to like pretend like everyone looks good.
- 35:17Speaker 2: That's my that's my hope and assumption. Yeah, yeah, my
- 35:20Speaker 2: hope is that everybody is so stinky all the time.
- 35:24Speaker 2: I love the idea of that. I love the relatability
- 35:28Speaker 2: of that. I think on this show, you see a
- 35:31Speaker 2: long day of hot beach in a villa with cameras
- 35:36Speaker 2: and nerves. So here's what the thing. You know, Nervous
- 35:39Speaker 2: sweat is the smelliest sweat, and so nerves happening, and
- 35:43Speaker 2: so there is a lot going on. I'm also assuming
- 35:47Speaker 2: that they're not waiting thirty minutes after eating to get
- 35:49Speaker 2: into the pool.
- 35:51Speaker 3: Yeah, be fair, that's fair to say. There's probably some
- 35:54Speaker 3: cramping going on.
- 35:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I got assuming aches. Yeah, think about tummy eggs
- 36:00Speaker 2: that are happening Easton. We have some matches happening about
- 36:03Speaker 2: at this point in the episode. The matches so far,
- 36:06Speaker 2: Daniel and Lucy are the first to match. Ady and
- 36:08Speaker 2: Ali are the second. Sandy and Louis match kind of
- 36:13Speaker 2: a shocker, honestly, kind of came out of nowhere at
- 36:15Speaker 2: the time. Madison and Cody match, Juliet and Clayton match.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Definitely the funniest part is the two of them like
- 36:24Speaker 2: like kind of wanting to match, but like also not
- 36:27Speaker 2: really wanting to match, and it's agreeing to match, and
- 36:30Speaker 2: it feels like there's no worse scenario than you're on
- 36:33Speaker 2: a beach set up to match with another human. It
- 36:37Speaker 2: is how you get through the night and to be
- 36:38Speaker 2: the last two standing like you definitely didn feel like
- 36:41Speaker 2: the rejects.
- 36:41Speaker 3: Right, absolutely, you are the people pick last in basketball.
- 36:44Speaker 3: You are assigned to each other. You did not match.
- 36:47Speaker 3: That's bad times for Clayton. I think overall, Clayton's.
- 36:51Speaker 2: Not having a good experience on the show so far,
- 36:53Speaker 2: but he's learning about himself as he goes, and goodness gracious,
- 36:56Speaker 2: with the years Clayton's had, we need him to get
- 36:58Speaker 2: a win. But he does kind of get into a
- 37:01Speaker 2: when the next morning when he says, Hey, juliet I
- 37:05Speaker 2: know we're gonna probably have to kiss today. Should we
- 37:07Speaker 2: just do it now? Should we just do it now?
- 37:10Speaker 3: That was okay? That whole scene they show everyone else
- 37:14Speaker 3: go into their rooms and implying and kind of showing
- 37:17Speaker 3: that they're having sex, like a lot of people are
- 37:19Speaker 3: hooking up, they're staying the night together, and then we
- 37:22Speaker 3: show Clayton and Juliette and it's it's clearly morning. They
- 37:26Speaker 3: could not be further apart from each other. He's like,
- 37:28Speaker 3: I guess we should kiss, and it's just like, goddamn.
- 37:32Speaker 2: Yeah, this is amazing. This is perfect guys. Nice job this, Clayton.
- 37:36Speaker 2: What a way, What a way to enter into that
- 37:38Speaker 2: first kiss with this human that you are going to
- 37:41Speaker 2: spend at least a day with, is saying, hey, like,
- 37:44Speaker 2: guess we have to kiss today? Like, should we just
- 37:45Speaker 2: get out of the way now? I don't know if
- 37:48Speaker 2: that was game. I don't know if that was necessity.
- 37:53Speaker 2: It was awkward, I will say as a viewer it
- 37:55Speaker 2: felt very uncomfortable for me and him probably, but they
- 37:59Speaker 2: do kisses an he's smart to do it. Because we
- 38:03Speaker 2: get our first challenge of the season. It's a big challenge.
- 38:06Speaker 2: It's a rowing challenge. They're kind of on a raft together.
- 38:09Speaker 2: Each couple are, and they have to hold a card
- 38:12Speaker 2: in between their mouths as you row back and forth
- 38:17Speaker 2: to grab these cards and then drop them off. The
- 38:19Speaker 2: only thing you can use to touch the card is
- 38:22Speaker 2: your mouth, and so if you drop the card in
- 38:24Speaker 2: the water, you got to go back and grab a
- 38:26Speaker 2: new one with you with your mouth. It is a
- 38:29Speaker 2: very intimate challenge. It does bring these couples closer physically
- 38:35Speaker 2: then you know, probably they had been in the last
- 38:37Speaker 2: two hours since they woke up in the same beds
- 38:39Speaker 2: one night after meeting each other.
- 38:41Speaker 3: It's an interesting challenge because everyone on this show is
- 38:44Speaker 3: in incredible shape. Everybody's very fit. The guys are jacked,
- 38:48Speaker 3: the ladies are very toned. Like the first before I
- 38:51Speaker 3: realize kind of how the game worked, and they have
- 38:53Speaker 3: to like pull the rope they're having no problem with it.
- 38:57Speaker 3: But also I was like, what really like it took
- 39:00Speaker 3: me a while to understand the like card element. I
- 39:02Speaker 3: was like, are they just going back and forth on
- 39:04Speaker 3: this raft? But it's it's a lot of fun to watch.
- 39:08Speaker 3: At one point, Louis and Sandy just end up making out,
- 39:13Speaker 3: like they forget the cards completely and they're just laying
- 39:15Speaker 3: on top of each other just making out, which I
- 39:17Speaker 3: thought was was fun. We enjoy people giving into the passion.
- 39:21Speaker 3: Juliette and Clayton are when they're coming they they're going
- 39:25Speaker 3: for their first card and they're coming back and they're
- 39:28Speaker 3: Clayton's underneath, Juliet's on top. They're kind of sink the water.
- 39:33Speaker 2: He's a big dude.
- 39:34Speaker 3: He's a very big dude. It appears his head is
- 39:37Speaker 3: extremely heavy and it's the uh the stern of that
- 39:41Speaker 3: boat is going is in the water, and I was like,
- 39:44Speaker 3: is Clayton going to drown?
- 39:45Speaker 2: This is crazy? He is I will say this. He
- 39:49Speaker 2: when he went to our event. I believe you were
- 39:51Speaker 2: there Easton when he came to an iHeart event with us.
- 39:54Speaker 2: He is a massive man, Like there is no joke here.
- 39:57Speaker 2: When I would say I am not a tiny person.
- 40:00Speaker 2: I'm I'm a six foot four to two hundred pound
- 40:03Speaker 2: what I would say, you wouldn't want to fight me
- 40:05Speaker 2: in the streets, but you could probably beat me if
- 40:08Speaker 2: he tried. Type of person that's who I am. Clayton
- 40:11Speaker 2: is easily three times as big as me, like shoulder
- 40:14Speaker 2: with like huge Yes.
- 40:17Speaker 3: The internet says he's six' five and two hundred and fifty.
- 40:19Speaker 3: POUNDS i would argue bigger than that just based on
- 40:23Speaker 3: his Mond he's a very muscular. Man he's a huge.
- 40:26Speaker 2: Dude this raft was not built for. Him their strategy
- 40:32Speaker 2: immediately starts to. Fail we start to get signs that
- 40:34Speaker 2: the two of, them even though they work together as a,
- 40:37Speaker 2: team maybe not as compatible as. Others but this game
- 40:41Speaker 2: is not about. Compatibility the team that wins Is cody
- 40:44Speaker 2: And madison win the. Challenge But madison here says one
- 40:48Speaker 2: of the most shocking shocking things that we see in episode.
- 40:52Speaker 2: One madison says she Likes, cody which is always a
- 40:57Speaker 2: nice thing to say about the. Person, again you just
- 40:59Speaker 2: spent the night WITH i like that, guy but he
- 41:03Speaker 2: his mouth is not the. Fit her favorite. Part he
- 41:05Speaker 2: needs a tongue scraper and. Mouthwash this is gonna last Him, Easton,
- 41:11Speaker 2: like this is not going. Away you claim somebody has bad,
- 41:14Speaker 2: BREATH i don't know if you can also claim that
- 41:17Speaker 2: you like them too.
- 41:18Speaker 3: Much, yeah that's. Brutal that's brutal to. Hear AND i
- 41:22Speaker 3: wonder if you're if you're we were talking earlier about,
- 41:26Speaker 3: like you, know what would it take to suck someone's?
- 41:28Speaker 3: Toes what would it take to endure the taste of?
- 41:30Speaker 3: Sweat but, like if you really like, somebody can you
- 41:33Speaker 3: ignore bad? Breath apparently that is a bridge too far
- 41:37Speaker 3: From madison and something THAT i REALLY i don't know
- 41:41Speaker 3: if you noticed this, Too, ben but SOMETHING i really
- 41:43Speaker 3: enjoyed about the rest of the episode is that after
- 41:44Speaker 3: she drops that, bomb there's a couple, moments there's at
- 41:47Speaker 3: least two Where madison And cody are like talking to
- 41:50Speaker 3: the camera and then they finish a thought and then
- 41:53Speaker 3: they kind of they don't zoom in On, cody but
- 41:56Speaker 3: THEY i think they boost his mic and you hear him.
- 41:58Speaker 3: Go but, REALLY i can smell it through the.
- 42:02Speaker 2: SCREEN i can't get it out of my. Head she
- 42:06Speaker 2: ruined this, Guy she put a stake in him right,
- 42:10Speaker 2: there and then we knew this was not going to end.
- 42:13Speaker 2: Well she. Ruined this poor, man this southern gentleman who's
- 42:18Speaker 2: going to try so hard to be a good, catch
- 42:20Speaker 2: has now also been defined by the guy that has
- 42:23Speaker 2: such bad breath that somebody on the show had to
- 42:27Speaker 2: talk about it on camera and announce it to all the.
- 42:31Speaker 2: Viewership they do, win which means they get to go
- 42:33Speaker 2: on a. Date the dates on this show are exactly
- 42:36Speaker 2: HOW i want these dates to. Be, quick, painless, easy,
- 42:39Speaker 2: fun and very quick to. Watch the most interesting part
- 42:45Speaker 2: easton of this whole show happens. Next for, Me it's
- 42:49Speaker 2: the MOMENT i SAID i like this. Show this is
- 42:51Speaker 2: a good. SHOW i want to keep watching this. Show
- 42:55Speaker 2: it happens right after the. Date the next, Day cody
- 43:01Speaker 2: And madison are now because they won the, challenge they
- 43:06Speaker 2: get to go into what they call the. Boardroom it
- 43:10Speaker 2: might be the only boardroom most of these people ever,
- 43:12Speaker 2: see but it's a room with a very high tech
- 43:18Speaker 2: table that shows all the couples currently paired, together along
- 43:24Speaker 2: with some people that must be hiding out in the
- 43:27Speaker 2: local hotel waiting to get called into the. Show cody And,
- 43:31Speaker 2: madison because they won the, challenge have the ability to
- 43:36Speaker 2: bring on two of these contestants and match them up
- 43:41Speaker 2: on a date with somebody that already exists with in the,
- 43:44Speaker 2: villa so they break up a relationship for a period of.
- 43:46Speaker 2: Time or there's a third, Option, madison because the women
- 43:51Speaker 2: have the power this, week can bring a guy in
- 43:55Speaker 2: to go on a date herself and Tell cody to
- 43:57Speaker 2: just go back to the house and hang. Out.
- 44:00Speaker 3: Yeah so if she does, that then there there a
- 44:03Speaker 3: match is over right like that that breaks their.
- 44:06Speaker 2: MATCH i think as soon as the Boardroom my my
- 44:10Speaker 2: assumption and kind of What i've learned is as soon
- 44:12Speaker 2: as the boardroom is, done like as soon as they
- 44:14Speaker 2: walk out the, door the next week, starts.
- 44:17Speaker 3: Okay and then there's the new.
- 44:18Speaker 2: Matches they already, matches everybody has to rematch up, again.
- 44:22Speaker 3: Okay uh. Yeah when they when they announce they're going
- 44:25Speaker 3: into the, boardroom having not seen perfect match, BEFORE i was,
- 44:29Speaker 3: like what is the?
- 44:30Speaker 2: Boardroom is it a?
- 44:31Speaker 3: Surfboard is?
- 44:31Speaker 1: It?
- 44:32Speaker 3: Like did they have to Face netflix? Executives what are they?
- 44:34Speaker 3: Doing and uh like they show the big logo And i'm,
- 44:38Speaker 3: like not going to is this a thing THAT i
- 44:40Speaker 3: don't know? Now and thankfully it was easy to, understand
- 44:43Speaker 3: but the the gravitas of the boardroom was not. Exaggerated
- 44:47Speaker 3: that's it was very important and uh and kind of
- 44:50Speaker 3: interesting to see how they how they handle. It we
- 44:54Speaker 3: have a guy FROM U Love island or, yeah a
- 44:57Speaker 3: guy From Love, island which is a peacock show right AT,
- 45:02Speaker 3: nbc and there's a there's someone From love Is BLIND.
- 45:08Speaker 3: Uk madison chooses him.
- 45:11Speaker 2: A lot of Power easton in the. BOARDROOM i love the.
- 45:15Speaker 2: IDEA i kind of Think paradise should adopt. This not
- 45:19Speaker 2: to make this always come back to The, bachelor BUT
- 45:22Speaker 2: i love the idea of contestants winning something and then
- 45:26Speaker 2: getting to strategically choose who comes onto the beach next
- 45:29Speaker 2: instead of the always. Unexpected because here's what can. HAPPEN
- 45:34Speaker 2: i see throughout the, season people's feelings are gonna get
- 45:38Speaker 2: hurt because, Say clayton is loved by, everybody but he
- 45:43Speaker 2: really doesn't Like. Ali, yeah he could Send ali on
- 45:47Speaker 2: a date just to mess with him If clayton wins the.
- 45:50Speaker 2: CHALLENGE i love the idea of the drama starting not
- 45:54Speaker 2: based on a producer saying head down the, stairs but
- 45:57Speaker 2: by the contestants having the power to choose.
- 46:00Speaker 3: Yes it gives it like a survivor kind of, aspect
- 46:05Speaker 3: like you, know knowing, that like the people you're there
- 46:08Speaker 3: with could be your greatest ally or your greatest. Enemy and,
- 46:12Speaker 3: uh it is really exciting and it shows that like
- 46:15Speaker 3: this could go any. Direction it's not just like what
- 46:17Speaker 3: the producers think will be the most. Interesting and then
- 46:19Speaker 3: we get some random person walking. In, no IT'S i love.
- 46:23Speaker 3: THIS i love The wardroom, too AND i, UH i
- 46:25Speaker 3: can't wait to see what happens with.
- 46:26Speaker 2: It were you shocked That madison chose to break up
- 46:29Speaker 2: With cody after they just won the challenge to go
- 46:32Speaker 2: On This day With? FREDDY i was not.
- 46:34Speaker 3: SHOCKED i especially even before the Bad breath. THING i
- 46:40Speaker 3: did not feel That cody And madison were a great
- 46:43Speaker 3: match when they were the second to, LAST i think
- 46:46Speaker 3: to match. Up madison clearly reacting To. Clayton she called
- 46:52Speaker 3: Him clayton at one point.
- 46:54Speaker 2: Earlier in she DID i went to. Bed she, goes
- 46:57Speaker 2: can somebody come Help clayton with HIS? MIC i Mean,
- 46:59Speaker 2: Cody oh what a way to?
- 47:00Speaker 3: Start oh, man SO i could tell her heart wasn't in.
- 47:05Speaker 3: IT i was not shocked by. THIS i did feel
- 47:07Speaker 3: bad For. Cody he seems. Nice you know again he
- 47:10Speaker 3: just needs he needs a good mouth washing and maybe
- 47:12Speaker 3: some extra. Floss BUT i, yeah it was weird because
- 47:18Speaker 3: AGAIN i see these people matching, up And i'm in my,
- 47:21Speaker 3: Head i'm, like, oh it's gonna be like this for
- 47:22Speaker 3: the whole, season or at least very deep into. IT
- 47:24Speaker 3: i was not ready for it to like. RESET i
- 47:27Speaker 3: was not ready for it to end. Immediately and The
- 47:29Speaker 3: chiron even like kind of was trying to help. Me
- 47:32Speaker 3: they were, Like, easton you, dumbass this is their current,
- 47:35Speaker 3: match like you would, say Like madison's current, match knowing
- 47:39Speaker 3: like these are, temporary these are. Fleeting this could end
- 47:41Speaker 3: at any, moment and For cody it does right.
- 47:44Speaker 2: Away. Yeah so we kind of end this episode With
- 47:48Speaker 2: cody going back to the villa announcing That madison is
- 47:50Speaker 2: going to be going on a date With, freddy which is.
- 47:55Speaker 2: Exciting So cody has to slowly walk. Back and then
- 48:00Speaker 2: they Match juliette With, carrington and they Match sandy and J.
- 48:08Speaker 2: R together and Again madison And freddie go on this.
- 48:12Speaker 2: Date that's where the episode. Ends that's episode one of
- 48:16Speaker 2: The Perfect match East in any final, THOUGHTS i love.
- 48:20Speaker 3: IT i think it's a really fascinating. SHOW i like
- 48:25Speaker 3: that IT'S i enjoy how horny it. IS i really.
- 48:28Speaker 3: Do i'm trying not to sound like too much of
- 48:29Speaker 3: a purv, here BUT i enjoyed. It everyone's very, hot
- 48:33Speaker 3: AND i enjoy them making out with each. Other AND
- 48:38Speaker 3: i THINK i love the. GAMES i love the. BOARDROOM
- 48:40Speaker 3: i think it has a lot of really interesting strategies
- 48:46Speaker 3: and aspects to it that set it apart from other dating.
- 48:49Speaker 3: Shows And i'm. In i'm going to watch the rest
- 48:52Speaker 3: of the. SEASON i like.
- 48:52Speaker 2: It this is wild, television absolutely. Unexpected sometimes my job
- 48:58Speaker 2: brings me into places THAT i least, expect But i'm
- 49:03Speaker 2: learning along the way about different humans and different walks of.
- 49:06Speaker 2: LIFE i enjoyed the Show EASTERN i. DID i was.
- 49:09Speaker 2: HOOKED i wanted to see what was. NEXT i LIKED
- 49:14Speaker 2: i liked the videography of the. Show it made me
- 49:17Speaker 2: feel LIKE i was on the beach at times. MYSELF
- 49:18Speaker 2: i really liked the. VILLA i think the villa's beautiful
- 49:21Speaker 2: and it looks like a really fun place to hang.
- 49:22Speaker 2: OUT i enjoy Also. Easton the one REASON i THOUGHT
- 49:26Speaker 2: i could do this show was that as soon as you,
- 49:30Speaker 2: match you get to go to. Bed like there's no
- 49:32Speaker 2: reason to stay, up And i'm, like, oh, well goodness,
- 49:35Speaker 2: gracious that for me is an amazing thing because you're
- 49:38Speaker 2: telling me by nine O'CLOCK i could still be asleep
- 49:41Speaker 2: most of the time in. Life that is HOW i
- 49:42Speaker 2: filter my social calendar on what time CAN i be
- 49:45Speaker 2: back at home to then get a good night's. Rest
- 49:49Speaker 2: it's very important to.
- 49:50Speaker 1: Me.
- 49:50Speaker 2: Easton we'll be breaking down every episode Of Perfect match here.
- 49:54Speaker 2: Again clayton From Bachelor, nation our former, bachelor is on episode.
- 49:59Speaker 2: One we do know h will be showing up to
- 50:01Speaker 2: the villa at some point throughout the. SEASON i Hope
- 50:04Speaker 2: easton is here, for if not all of, them most
- 50:07Speaker 2: of our. Breakdowns he brings a, beautiful, honest, earnest fun
- 50:13Speaker 2: perspective to the. Show so until next, Time i've Been, ben.
- 50:17Speaker 3: And if you enjoyed this, Show i've Been Easton and if,
- 50:19Speaker 3: Not i've Been Dean. Unglert thanks see, you.
