- 0:11Speaker 1: Let's talk socks.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Andrew Monasteria joining us right now from the Red Sox. Hey,
- 0:15Speaker 2: it's great to have you on. Thank you for joining us.
- 0:17Speaker 2: How is everything? And welcome to the show for the
- 0:20Speaker 2: first time.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Thank you guys, Thank you for the welcome me on,
- 0:25Speaker 3: like this has a price for me, Like I don't
- 0:27Speaker 3: have like too many invitation for us on shows like this.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 0:32Speaker 2: No, of course, that's part of why we like to
- 0:34Speaker 2: hear everyone's story, and I think we should do that
- 0:37Speaker 2: here just to start. You know, this is a national show,
- 0:39Speaker 2: really an international show. Can you just give us a
- 0:42Speaker 2: little bit of a glimpse of your story of how
- 0:44Speaker 2: you got here and some of your backgrounds for you know,
- 0:47Speaker 2: maybe fans that don't know as much about you that
- 0:50Speaker 2: you know aren't following, say the Red Sox or the
- 0:52Speaker 2: Brewers from last year.
- 0:54Speaker 3: Okay, So I signed as international free agent twenty fourteen
- 1:00Speaker 3: with the Cops and then I spent four years there
- 1:03Speaker 3: until my room five, and then I get trade to
- 1:06Speaker 3: the Nationals for Daniel Murphy and then next year trade
- 1:12Speaker 3: to the Guardians for Jian Gomes and then I spent
- 1:17Speaker 3: like two more years with the Guardians organization free agent
- 1:22Speaker 3: minor leaguer, signed with the Brewers later that year, later
- 1:25Speaker 3: next year, big leaguer for three years and then get
- 1:29Speaker 3: trade before spring training this year to the Rex, you.
- 1:34Speaker 4: Got traded for some big names. Do use that pressure
- 1:36Speaker 4: on you? You got traded for some names there.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Yeah, so when I signed for fight K, it's no
- 1:43Speaker 3: pressure at all, you know, like, yeah, I signed for
- 1:47Speaker 3: five K, and then I get my opportunity, you know,
- 1:50Speaker 3: like basically by myself like playing on like you know,
- 1:55Speaker 3: trying to get better every day and like show off
- 1:58Speaker 3: some you know, show up on the field and like
- 2:00Speaker 3: playing to get better every day. I think that's like
- 2:02Speaker 3: my first goal, and I think that's why I bring
- 2:04Speaker 3: me here.
- 2:06Speaker 5: I like it. I like it.
- 2:07Speaker 4: But I just got to ask you. You're from Caracas,
- 2:09Speaker 4: You're from Venezuela. Have you still are you still basking
- 2:13Speaker 4: in the glow of the WBC and Venezuela World champions
- 2:16Speaker 4: Do you do you and Contreras walk around the Red
- 2:19Speaker 4: Sox Clubhouse and just have the Venezuelan flag on twenty
- 2:23Speaker 4: four to seven.
- 2:24Speaker 3: No, so for the guys like when they win the championees,
- 2:28Speaker 3: I was there.
- 2:29Speaker 1: I was there on the crowd.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Lke after that game the next day like they were
- 2:36Speaker 3: the UNI whatever and the next day like that's done.
- 2:39Speaker 1: You know, we're focus on the recks.
- 2:41Speaker 5: But you were in the crowd watching. You were in
- 2:43Speaker 5: the crowd watching.
- 2:45Speaker 4: Did you have to buy a ticket or did Yeppie
- 2:47Speaker 4: get you your pass list?
- 2:50Speaker 1: No?
- 2:50Speaker 3: I buy I think I got a funny story about
- 2:52Speaker 3: that because we were in spring training and like I
- 2:55Speaker 3: was waiting for Alice Gorda send the schedule for the
- 3:00Speaker 3: next day. So I wasn't playing, so I take a
- 3:03Speaker 3: trip to from four my years to Miami, like two hours,
- 3:07Speaker 3: two hours and a half.
- 3:08Speaker 1: If I was starting the next day.
- 3:10Speaker 3: I don't want to travel to that game, you know,
- 3:13Speaker 3: like I get a basically day off the next day.
- 3:16Speaker 3: So I traveled to Miami to watch the game, to
- 3:17Speaker 3: watch the guys. And it was funny because like all
- 3:20Speaker 3: the American people ask us, like why we're chanting when
- 3:24Speaker 3: every USA hitter has to strike, We're basically call him
- 3:28Speaker 3: punches or punching in English is a strikeout. So like
- 3:32Speaker 3: the entire stadium like chanting strike out every time the
- 3:36Speaker 3: USA player has two strikes.
- 3:37Speaker 1: That was cool.
- 3:39Speaker 5: Did you go with anybody? Was it just you?
- 3:42Speaker 3: My cousin, So he gets signed with the Tigers, he
- 3:47Speaker 3: played three years and then get released and he's living
- 3:50Speaker 3: in Miami right now.
- 3:53Speaker 6: Did anybody recognize you because you're I mean, you've been
- 3:55Speaker 6: a big league for a long time. Even playing with
- 3:57Speaker 6: the Red Sox in spring training there's a lot of Venezuela's.
- 4:00Speaker 6: Did they recognize you?
- 4:02Speaker 1: So I'm trying to be low key.
- 4:03Speaker 3: You know, I got my hoodie, but like some people
- 4:06Speaker 3: recognize me, some people reorganize me.
- 4:09Speaker 6: You probably had a nice hoodie, probably like maybe some
- 4:12Speaker 6: Docia Cabana hoodie with some glasses.
- 4:16Speaker 3: No, no, I never buy those type of clothes. So
- 4:20Speaker 3: I got fashion Noah right now, like twenty bucks, share
- 4:23Speaker 3: like forty bucks.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Dance.
- 4:28Speaker 3: I like fashion Noah, Fashion Noah, lose fancy ship, I
- 4:32Speaker 3: like it.
- 4:35Speaker 5: I like it.
- 4:36Speaker 4: I got one more question on this whole thing. Did
- 4:39Speaker 4: you since you were not playing the next day, did
- 4:42Speaker 4: you go out with the Venezuela team after they won
- 4:46Speaker 4: the championship? Because I heard they had any decent parties.
- 4:49Speaker 4: You didn't go to the party afterwards?
- 4:51Speaker 1: Nah?
- 4:51Speaker 3: So I was in the group shot, you know, like
- 4:54Speaker 3: I was part of like the team before, like the
- 4:59Speaker 3: official So it wasn't like the sixty seventy.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Players whatever they call like what's up group.
- 5:06Speaker 3: But I didn't make the roster because like Omar Lopez said, like, oh,
- 5:09Speaker 3: I just get trade.
- 5:10Speaker 1: You know, you focus on the on your new team.
- 5:15Speaker 3: They don't know you as well, like the Brewers, you know,
- 5:17Speaker 3: like those kinds of things like happens before spring training
- 5:22Speaker 3: or like before you get trade, and like that's why
- 5:25Speaker 3: the reason I didn't make the roster, that was Omar
- 5:29Speaker 3: Lopez tell me.
- 5:30Speaker 1: And like I didn't. I didn't notificate the guys, like I.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Went to the game, you know, I just went to
- 5:36Speaker 3: the game enjoy it because that was the first like
- 5:39Speaker 3: major sport like Venezuela and being champion. We never being
- 5:42Speaker 3: in a World Cup like soccer World Cup. Never, we
- 5:45Speaker 3: never win something basketball. So that's the first thing like
- 5:47Speaker 3: Venezuela as a major team win something, you know. So
- 5:52Speaker 3: that was so special for all the Venezuelan cities. And
- 5:54Speaker 3: I just went there support the guys and then I
- 5:57Speaker 3: live after the game.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Hey, this is the mac Weldon line that resonates with me.

- 6:56Speaker 2: com code f o U L.
- 6:59Speaker 6: Will you want to play the next one? Because you'll
- 7:01Speaker 6: be a free agent. If I'm looking at the time,
- 7:02Speaker 6: you'll be coming up to your free agent year. There's
- 7:05Speaker 6: always something would you want to play in the next one?
- 7:08Speaker 6: Even if it is going to be your free agent year.
- 7:10Speaker 3: So I was I was down for this one, like
- 7:13Speaker 3: if they need me going, you know, like, so this
- 7:16Speaker 3: is something like I was playing with. This is like
- 7:18Speaker 3: for Benezula and Citizen. This isn't more than like WBC.
- 7:21Speaker 3: This is like a pride you know, so like we
- 7:24Speaker 3: want to win this because we never win something, you know,
- 7:27Speaker 3: like before whenever we win something, so like we want
- 7:30Speaker 3: to win this so bad. So so for the next
- 7:34Speaker 3: one they need me, I want to be down for sure.
- 7:38Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 7:38Speaker 5: I love it. I love the pride of the country.
- 7:41Speaker 4: Yeah, especially especially the other It's like America is finally
- 7:45Speaker 4: catching up with the other countries as far as how
- 7:47Speaker 4: much this means to people.
- 7:49Speaker 5: So it's it's it's an awesome turn. I love it was
- 7:51Speaker 5: great now we could now we can talk red SOX. Yeah.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Well, and also the transition, So, like you mentioned, Omar
- 7:56Speaker 2: Lopez said, hey, you've got traded focus on that. So,
- 7:58Speaker 2: so what was that like for you? I mean, you
- 8:00Speaker 2: spent your first few years with the Brewers. That's a
- 8:03Speaker 2: well run machine that's been very successful. You head over
- 8:07Speaker 2: to Boston. What's it been like for you? Like, what
- 8:09Speaker 2: are some similarities differences. I can give you one easy
- 8:12Speaker 2: one to start with. Nobody in baseball is like Pat Murphy.
- 8:15Speaker 2: He comes up on the show all the time with
- 8:17Speaker 2: all of his funny quotes. So no matter what, it's
- 8:20Speaker 2: going to be different because you don't have a guy
- 8:22Speaker 2: cracking jokes.
- 8:22Speaker 5: What's it been like?
- 8:24Speaker 3: So my story is like I was in Florida doing
- 8:30Speaker 3: my off season work and then I traveled to arisona Saturday,
- 8:37Speaker 3: so I shoot my car, I travel there, I do
- 8:40Speaker 3: all my stuff. I get there Saturday, and then Monday
- 8:44Speaker 3: morning I get trade. So I was in Florida and
- 8:46Speaker 3: then travel to Arizona to report to like brew versus
- 8:50Speaker 3: Sprint training and two days after that, I have to
- 8:53Speaker 3: come back to Florida because I get trade. And I
- 8:56Speaker 3: was like I was ready. I was driving to the
- 8:59Speaker 3: company something they called me. Guy from the front office
- 9:02Speaker 3: called me like, oh you you get trade. And I
- 9:04Speaker 3: had to come back to my home waiting for Craig
- 9:07Speaker 3: Bridgelow call me. On AC called me. Those guy from
- 9:10Speaker 3: the Rexes called me. And then I picked all my
- 9:12Speaker 3: stuff in the Brewers compass. And then the next day
- 9:14Speaker 3: I traveled to Form Life. So I for either artists
- 9:18Speaker 3: on artists on not Florida in like three days spent
- 9:20Speaker 3: something like that.
- 9:22Speaker 5: How hard? How hard was it?
- 9:24Speaker 6: You're going to a new organization you talked about ac
- 9:28Speaker 6: and then you're there for a month and a half
- 9:30Speaker 6: and the new manager in the new organization that you're
- 9:33Speaker 6: just joined gets fired? How hard is that transition been
- 9:37Speaker 6: the whole time, not just from him getting fired but
- 9:40Speaker 6: then into the organization.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Yeah, so how you said?
- 9:43Speaker 3: So I basically I am new here, you know, I
- 9:46Speaker 3: just have like two months or two months and a half.
- 9:49Speaker 3: So yeah, for every guy, was like tough, but it's
- 9:52Speaker 3: something like you can't control, you know, so like this
- 9:54Speaker 3: part of business or you have to like move forward,
- 9:56Speaker 3: and like we have we have a meeting like after
- 10:00Speaker 3: that day in Baltimore, and like we keep going. So
- 10:03Speaker 3: I think the guy is playing better and also like
- 10:06Speaker 3: we want to be fine. I think we want to
- 10:08Speaker 3: play in October. And I believe in my guys. I'm
- 10:10Speaker 3: like I pull all my best on my guy. Well,
- 10:13Speaker 3: like the thing is like it's something that you cannot
- 10:15Speaker 3: have on mind because it's something you can control us
- 10:17Speaker 3: a player, you can control that.
- 10:19Speaker 1: But it's tough, but like you know, you have to
- 10:21Speaker 1: move forward.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Do you have a rule where you always have to
- 10:25Speaker 2: play with the contrarast So you had William and now
- 10:27Speaker 2: you're playing with Wilson. What are those two like in
- 10:30Speaker 2: terms of similarities and differences. I mean, you know, Wilson's
- 10:34Speaker 2: having a great year and his transition to first base
- 10:36Speaker 2: has been great the last few years. But also you know,
- 10:40Speaker 2: he's loud, he's eccentric. He often is part of our
- 10:43Speaker 2: show in terms of a news or storyline that we hit,
- 10:46Speaker 2: you know, with him going back and forth with teams.
- 10:48Speaker 2: We love it because he stands out.
- 10:51Speaker 3: So it's cool, you know, like you never like when
- 10:55Speaker 3: you sign on, when you when you are in the
- 10:57Speaker 3: minor league, you never expected like playing with brothers. And
- 11:00Speaker 3: also like they are pretty good players, you know, but
- 11:04Speaker 3: like I think they are different a little bit. I
- 11:06Speaker 3: think they are different. So Wilson, it's I think it's
- 11:11Speaker 3: a little more funny than than William. William is like
- 11:14Speaker 3: Roki his war like he's a hard worker. I think
- 11:18Speaker 3: like Williams. I think they are they are like hard workers.
- 11:22Speaker 3: But I think Williams is like a little hard workers
- 11:25Speaker 3: and him I remember, like we didn't invite me to
- 11:27Speaker 3: the Geen like fight during the morning and said, williamt
- 11:30Speaker 3: come on, bro, so fight during the morning spring training,
- 11:33Speaker 3: you know, like I know, like Williams, so you know
- 11:35Speaker 3: we're gonna play. So by myself, I have to be
- 11:38Speaker 3: ready every day when Patmorphy ed me in spring training,
- 11:41Speaker 3: so like William made his own schedule, so I have
- 11:44Speaker 3: to be ready every day.
- 11:45Speaker 1: And William can't come bro, like fight fight in the morning,
- 11:48Speaker 1: and he gets mad at me.
- 11:49Speaker 3: But like, so that's something like you like as a teammate,
- 11:53Speaker 3: you will say, oh, this guy, you know he's gonna
- 11:55Speaker 3: be good. You know he's gonna be great when he
- 11:58Speaker 3: when his career is down, you know. And it's something
- 12:01Speaker 3: I said, like he asking me to join him to
- 12:05Speaker 3: be great.
- 12:06Speaker 1: You know that's cool.
- 12:09Speaker 5: So wait, does does Wilson not ask you to join him? Now?
- 12:12Speaker 5: Just William? What I mean? Did they not talk to me?
- 12:16Speaker 5: Maybe maybe he's not doing oh yeah, maybe he's not
- 12:19Speaker 5: at five am. But I mean, yeah, Wilson.
- 12:23Speaker 3: So with Williams in the Brewers, like I hit him within, well,
- 12:28Speaker 3: I don't join him in the weight room by hitting
- 12:30Speaker 3: with him. And I do the same with William here
- 12:33Speaker 3: Wilson here, I hitting with him in the cage and
- 12:35Speaker 3: always asking Wilson about like hitting because I want to improve.
- 12:39Speaker 3: Like part of my on, my join on my wholeshold
- 12:43Speaker 3: every day is like I want to be better because
- 12:45Speaker 3: I know where I come from, so.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Nobody believe on me.
- 12:49Speaker 3: When I was sixteen years old, so my last royale
- 12:52Speaker 3: when I was signed by the Cups with five K,
- 12:55Speaker 3: and then I remember the guy having in the academy.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Said that this is your last right. Yeah, if you
- 13:00Speaker 1: don't sign, you go home. So like.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Dane Lower, I get my sign when I was sixteen,
- 13:08Speaker 3: and now I'm here, you know, like he's a blessing.
- 13:10Speaker 3: And also it's something like I can't I come here
- 13:15Speaker 3: with nothing and now I'll believe you know, like nobody,
- 13:19Speaker 3: no everybody can say if you're playing the buildings, I
- 13:23Speaker 3: love that.
- 13:23Speaker 6: I love that, and I love that we know that
- 13:25Speaker 6: story now too. But you were you were part of
- 13:28Speaker 6: both sides of the Wilson contrares getting mad about getting hit.
- 13:32Speaker 6: You were you were you watched him get hit when
- 13:35Speaker 6: you played for the Brewers, and then you watched him
- 13:37Speaker 6: get hit and get mad with the Red Sox.
- 13:39Speaker 5: Did he confide in you? Did he talk to you
- 13:42Speaker 5: at all? After that? And like, hey, you remember every
- 13:44Speaker 5: time that he hit me?
- 13:47Speaker 3: So when I when I get to the Brewers, that
- 13:51Speaker 3: was his first year with the Cardinals. I think his
- 13:55Speaker 3: first or second year with the Cardinals. So like I
- 13:58Speaker 3: think the the issues coming when he played with the Cops.
- 14:02Speaker 3: So I don't know the entire story about it, but
- 14:05Speaker 3: like when he gets hit by here in Boston is
- 14:08Speaker 3: because like he said, like the brew would hit him
- 14:12Speaker 3: like forty times, you know, like it's like how many
- 14:14Speaker 3: times you want to hit me again and again? You know,
- 14:17Speaker 3: but like it's something like everybody can get mad when
- 14:21Speaker 3: you get like thrill every time, but it's nothing after that.
- 14:24Speaker 3: You know, that was the day and after that we
- 14:26Speaker 3: don't talking about that because I think, I like, that's
- 14:31Speaker 3: the moment you know, when like you get hot all
- 14:33Speaker 3: the stuff.
- 14:34Speaker 4: Wait, would you who would you have fought though? Who
- 14:37Speaker 4: would you have fought on the Brewers? If you guys
- 14:39Speaker 4: would have really fought after all that? Who would you
- 14:42Speaker 4: would you have picked one guy in the Brewers who
- 14:43Speaker 4: was the one guy was a Ben William Catz.
- 14:46Speaker 5: You would have been like, I'm standing up for your brother.
- 14:49Speaker 5: You have fought? Would you have gone after.
- 14:51Speaker 1: You ask me? You ask me who I fight? Why?
- 14:56Speaker 5: Yeah, rebate you don't you don't want to get a
- 14:59Speaker 5: rebat given.
- 15:00Speaker 3: You the Hey, I saw that this morning.
- 15:04Speaker 1: That happened yesterday. I saw that this morning.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Yeah maybe okay, don't know or tea.
- 15:12Speaker 5: Or you know, don't.
- 15:15Speaker 1: That's my guy. I love those guys, but like I
- 15:17Speaker 1: have to go for the but the skin is one.
- 15:19Speaker 1: You know. I can't skinny to on one night. I
- 15:22Speaker 1: cannot go to the.
- 15:25Speaker 6: Maybe Terran maybe Terrans skinny. But he's like fast, he's shifting.
- 15:29Speaker 1: No to Yan to rise the superstar.
- 15:32Speaker 5: You know.
- 15:32Speaker 1: That's my guy too. I love him.
- 15:34Speaker 3: I love all the guys in the Brewers, like I
- 15:36Speaker 3: spent a lot of time there.
- 15:38Speaker 1: You know.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Now I'm focusing hearing the wreck sos Like Boston is nice, bro,
- 15:42Speaker 3: these fans, the rexs are amazing. I remember, like two
- 15:46Speaker 3: days ago we play the Twins like under the Rain,
- 15:48Speaker 3: and those guys was here like they were like outside
- 15:52Speaker 3: the ceiling, like they was we all under the rain.
- 15:55Speaker 1: That's amazing, that's cool. He j gave me a.
- 15:59Speaker 5: Line of blue chew. Well, do you need help with

- 17:00Speaker 6: What is the energy like in Fenway compared to you
- 17:03Speaker 6: know the playoff runs? Because I always felt like Fenway
- 17:06Speaker 6: had just incredible energy, whether the Red Sox were good
- 17:09Speaker 6: or they were bad. What is the energy like for
- 17:11Speaker 6: you playing in Fenway.
- 17:14Speaker 3: A friendly is amazing. So in twenty twenty four I
- 17:17Speaker 3: come here with the Brewers. I didn't have the chance
- 17:19Speaker 3: to play, to be on the field, but I saw
- 17:22Speaker 3: the almost fear here.
- 17:24Speaker 1: It's amazing.
- 17:24Speaker 3: On like the a inning with the with the sound
- 17:27Speaker 3: they have here, that's amazing. Sweet Carolina is amazing. That's
- 17:32Speaker 3: something like Monday till Sundays back. You know it's back
- 17:36Speaker 3: it and like that's amazing. And I always the fan here,
- 17:39Speaker 3: like when you have like the parking here outside the clubhouse,
- 17:43Speaker 3: when you want to pick your car, is the fence
- 17:45Speaker 3: over there, Like they recognize you, Like I'm also the
- 17:49Speaker 3: Rexes fans are like when five years old to like
- 17:53Speaker 3: sixty seventy eighties old, so like it's all all the
- 17:56Speaker 3: generations like Rexes fans, like all the Rexs all around
- 18:00Speaker 3: the CD.
- 18:01Speaker 1: I like they're recognize you. That's pretty cool.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it is deeply in the fabric of the city.
- 18:08Speaker 2: I have one more for you. This has a little
- 18:11Speaker 2: bit of relation to what we're talking about with with
- 18:13Speaker 2: abnue eBay, but but it's a bigger picture question for you.
- 18:16Speaker 5: So he did his thing.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Murph didn't like it, but the whole backstory was that
- 18:20Speaker 2: they thought, you know, they were they were getting a
- 18:23Speaker 2: tip or signs or whatever. It is, right, that stuff
- 18:26Speaker 2: happens all the time. So I'm just asking you a
- 18:29Speaker 2: general baseball question. How how much is that a part
- 18:32Speaker 2: of the everyday game right now? Where you know, one
- 18:35Speaker 2: side chirping at the other that they're taking a sign.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Because also we've talked about this, AJ can jump in
- 18:40Speaker 2: for a second. Nowadays, Sometimes guy's standing on second base
- 18:44Speaker 2: and he's just like, I'm going to do this when
- 18:46Speaker 2: I see a slider grip and then otherwise I'll be
- 18:49Speaker 2: here if it's fastball. So it's changed a lot in
- 18:51Speaker 2: the sport, even in the last few years since you
- 18:53Speaker 2: were in the majors.
- 18:55Speaker 3: So I think that's something like one hundred percent of
- 18:58Speaker 3: the game. So, uh, I was part of Brewers and
- 19:02Speaker 3: now I'm part of the wrexas, Like we have our
- 19:04Speaker 3: heaters meetings every day, and like the Haters meeting, you
- 19:08Speaker 3: got something from somebody speaching, you know, so like stealing
- 19:12Speaker 3: a basis keeping a second, what else, like something like
- 19:19Speaker 3: he's gonna field his position or something like that.
- 19:21Speaker 1: You know, it's part of the game. And like I
- 19:24Speaker 1: know the preachers are mad about it. But it's part
- 19:26Speaker 1: of the game. That's you know, it's part of the game.
- 19:30Speaker 5: It is part of the game. You're right, But I
- 19:31Speaker 5: need one thing.
- 19:33Speaker 4: What's the biggest difference between AC Alex Cora and your
- 19:37Speaker 4: new manager? Is there one big difference that you notice?
- 19:40Speaker 4: The communication thing?
- 19:41Speaker 5: Is it? Is it a way they talk to you?
- 19:43Speaker 5: What's the biggest difference?
- 19:44Speaker 4: You know, because you know AC was so loved there
- 19:46Speaker 4: for so long, and now they just came with a new, new,
- 19:49Speaker 4: new group of coaches. What's the one thing you noticed
- 19:51Speaker 4: that's the biggest difference.
- 19:54Speaker 3: So AC has speak Spanish and chetspeak English. Well, I
- 20:00Speaker 3: think it's the same. So Shot Tracy is like power
- 20:04Speaker 3: of the AC like coaching stuff, you know, you know
- 20:07Speaker 3: what I mean. So, like they always together, so I
- 20:10Speaker 3: think they are the same guy. And like they say
- 20:13Speaker 3: here like Shot is like power the AC coaching stuff
- 20:16Speaker 3: when he was here.
- 20:18Speaker 1: So I think it's the same guy.
- 20:19Speaker 3: So I always talk into Shot too, So like maybe
- 20:23Speaker 3: Shot is like first year in in the big league,
- 20:26Speaker 3: you know, so like maybe he's a little shy a
- 20:28Speaker 3: little bit, but it's the same guy. So I see
- 20:30Speaker 3: and Shot is the same guy. Shot is Shot is
- 20:33Speaker 3: a little more quiet, a little more quiet acy. You know,
- 20:35Speaker 3: Ac is like jumping, hey, what's that?
- 20:38Speaker 1: You know that kind of things. But I think that's
- 20:40Speaker 1: the same guy.
- 20:40Speaker 3: I always talking to Ac, asking to to I make
- 20:45Speaker 3: him questions like I do the same Shot. I'm also
- 20:49Speaker 3: floors the bench coach, you know, like he's power of
- 20:51Speaker 3: the AC coaching stuff too.
- 20:53Speaker 1: So like I think we are the same here.
- 20:56Speaker 4: Yeah, chat do too, so chatter person I played against
- 21:00Speaker 4: in the minor league, the third base forever.
- 21:03Speaker 5: We played against Ebbie forever.
- 21:05Speaker 3: I got a question for you guys. Thank you for
- 21:08Speaker 3: even buying me, but like why, like why you guys
- 21:11Speaker 3: can bite me. This is the first thing I in
- 21:14Speaker 3: that show like these. The other thing was when like
- 21:16Speaker 3: I hit the homeworks in Cincinnati and like m Bell
- 21:19Speaker 3: call me, well that's something like you know, inter beautiful
- 21:22Speaker 3: that moment.
- 21:23Speaker 1: But now this is my first time in the show
- 21:25Speaker 1: like this.
- 21:26Speaker 2: So it's a great question. And what we do when
- 21:29Speaker 2: we booked guests, we do a combination of things. We
- 21:31Speaker 2: talked to teams, we talked to players, we talked to agents.
- 21:34Speaker 2: In this case, obviously, we reached out to you online
- 21:38Speaker 2: through our account because we didn't know you, right, we
- 21:40Speaker 2: didn't know you.
- 21:41Speaker 5: We hadn't you know, seen you much in Milwaukee.
- 21:43Speaker 4: And you did the you did the one interview last
- 21:46Speaker 4: year with Ken Rosenthal. You remember, you got the walk
- 21:48Speaker 4: off hit. Oh yeah, and it was awesome.
- 21:51Speaker 5: Yeah. And so they're always saying, oh, do you know
- 21:53Speaker 5: this guy?
- 21:53Speaker 4: And I was like, he did this interview in Milwaukee
- 21:56Speaker 4: and and what was the best the most amazing part
- 21:58Speaker 4: for me?
- 21:59Speaker 5: You did it in English and you did it like
- 22:01Speaker 5: this really good.
- 22:02Speaker 4: And so we're always trying to find It's hard for
- 22:05Speaker 4: us because we don't speak good Spanish. We speak bad Spanish,
- 22:08Speaker 4: right for us. Krat stinks he speaks Spanish, but he
- 22:11Speaker 4: speaks Spanish like I do. It's like he knows all
- 22:13Speaker 4: the bad words and those a couple of good words
- 22:15Speaker 4: in there, right. But so we're always looking for Latin
- 22:19Speaker 4: guys that can speak English because I love hearing the
- 22:22Speaker 4: story of you signing for five thousand dollars, right, and
- 22:24Speaker 4: then how you had to work your way up and
- 22:26Speaker 4: this and that. I mean, I love those stories. And
- 22:29Speaker 4: then they're like, hey, who do you got, And I'm like, Monastereo,
- 22:31Speaker 4: you did an awesome interview again.
- 22:33Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a great way to get trillion for our show.
- 22:36Speaker 2: I mean, we have players on every day, so yeah,
- 22:39Speaker 2: we want to try and get on as many different
- 22:41Speaker 2: guys as possible hear their story, and then sometimes we
- 22:43Speaker 2: bring on a guy like you, and you're a great speaker.
- 22:45Speaker 2: You got to do more of these.
- 22:46Speaker 1: So yeah, well I'm trying to get better.
- 22:51Speaker 3: To be honest, I'm trying to get but a trying
- 22:54Speaker 3: to sound more like American guy, you know, but like, no,
- 22:57Speaker 3: no English, but yeah he's speaking, but you'll I was like, no,
- 23:01Speaker 3: I have my accent, you know what I mean.
- 23:03Speaker 5: No, I wish I had Well, I actually wish I
- 23:05Speaker 5: had an accident because I'd be.
- 23:06Speaker 4: So much cooler whenever I traveled to somewhere else and
- 23:09Speaker 4: I hear like the Aussie or the British guy talk,
- 23:12Speaker 4: I'm like, I wish I had that accident. Would be
- 23:13Speaker 4: super cool to walk around America and have the oh
- 23:16Speaker 4: no shoop on the Bobby.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Well, you sound great, Andrew, You're you're really well spoken.
- 23:22Speaker 2: Really enjoyed it. We'll invite you back. But it was
- 23:24Speaker 2: great to have you. Really appreciate it.
- 23:25Speaker 5: Great. Hold on you're your birthday, oh birthday.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Saturday, Saturday, Saturday.
- 23:30Speaker 5: Yeah, were having a party.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Nice. Thank you guys. If you guys need me a game,
- 23:36Speaker 1: let me know.
- 23:37Speaker 5: No, no, are you having a party on Saturday? Guys,
- 23:38Speaker 5: he's got a game.
- 23:40Speaker 3: I have a gang on Saturday and Sundays, you know
- 23:43Speaker 3: day games on le chance.
- 23:45Speaker 5: Yeah, Sunday travel travel Sunday.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Yeah it was, Oh yeah, you're right. Well anyway, I
- 23:52Speaker 3: got a game.
