- 3:41Speaker 1: of our partners that we are getting toys from one
- 3:46Speaker 1: of the community leaders. They want to confirm if our
- 3:51Speaker 1: people are receiving SNAP or Medicaid or any type of services,
- 3:59Speaker 1: So makes sure you let us know if you are
- 4:03Speaker 1: receiving those services, you will be required to send in
- 4:05Speaker 1: like your ID or send in a birth certificate, things
- 4:11Speaker 1: like that information confirming that. So that is one of
- 4:15Speaker 1: our partners are requiring that in order for us to
- 4:19Speaker 1: get the toys. So make sure you guys work with
- 4:23Speaker 1: us and let us know. Actually, I believe you're gonna
- 4:27Speaker 1: have to send that in through email. You're gonna have
- 4:30Speaker 1: to scan it, blot out all the important information, like
- 4:34Speaker 1: we don't need your social or anything like that, but
- 4:38Speaker 1: we're gonna need you to send that in so that
- 4:40Speaker 1: we can confirm it with one of our community partners.
- 4:47Speaker 1: All right, that's good before Father and praier Everly, Father,
- 4:52Speaker 1: and thank you for another day. Thank you Father for
- 4:55Speaker 1: allowing us to wake up. We ask Father, God for
- 4:58Speaker 1: the empowerment of the Holy Speak, that you will give
- 5:02Speaker 1: us understanding and instruction of God. That you will give
- 5:06Speaker 1: us a revelation, Father, God, Oh Lord, from the Book
- 5:09Speaker 1: of Acts. Today, Father, and I pray Lord for everyone
- 5:12Speaker 1: under the sound of my voice, So God, that we
- 5:14Speaker 1: will look like the Book of Acts, and we will
- 5:18Speaker 1: look like the early Church. God with the power of
- 5:21Speaker 1: the purity and the unity of God of us to
- 5:24Speaker 1: go back to the foundation's father. We thank you, Lord
- 5:29Speaker 1: in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. All right,
- 5:39Speaker 1: let's go to the scriptures. We're gonna hit you from
- 5:42Speaker 1: verse twelve and we're gonna go all the way to
- 5:46Speaker 1: twenty six. Then they returned to Jerusalem. From the mouth
- 5:57Speaker 1: called all of it the reason why there. Let me
- 6:01Speaker 1: get some background. Jesus just ascended. Jesus rose again from
- 6:10Speaker 1: the grave. He was just crucified. He appeared to over
- 6:15Speaker 1: five hundred people, and the Bible itself says that there's
- 6:20Speaker 1: infallible proofs that he has rose from the dead, and
- 6:24Speaker 1: so there are many witnesses, a lot of people who
- 6:27Speaker 1: testify and say that they were eye witnesses. And so
- 6:34Speaker 1: he ascended back up in the heaven. A cloud covered
- 6:37Speaker 1: him up. Then the angels standing by, they said, why
- 6:41Speaker 1: are you watching gazing into the sky. You know, go
- 6:46Speaker 1: basically do what you're instructed to do. This Jesus will
- 6:49Speaker 1: return the same way he left. And so they're going
- 6:56Speaker 1: to go to Jerusalem like the Lord instructed him to.
- 7:01Speaker 1: And that's why we're picking it up in verse twelve.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mouth called Olivet,
- 7:08Speaker 1: which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day journey. And when
- 7:14Speaker 1: they had entered, they went up into the upper room
- 7:19Speaker 1: where they were staying Peter, James, John, and Andrew, Philip,
- 7:26Speaker 1: and Thomas Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alpheus,
- 7:33Speaker 1: and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James.
- 7:39Speaker 1: These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication
- 7:47Speaker 1: with the women and married the mother of Jesus, and
- 7:53Speaker 1: with his brothers. I want to pause for a second,
- 7:57Speaker 1: and I just wanted to notice that this is the
- 8:01Speaker 1: last mention of Mary, the mother of Jesus in the
- 8:06Speaker 1: New Testament. We don't hear from her anymore. We don't
- 8:11Speaker 1: hear about her death, we don't hear about anything else.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Everything just goes silent. We hear a little bit from
- 8:20Speaker 1: his brothers. We know his brothers or pillars in the
- 8:25Speaker 1: early church. James, where you get the Book of Jeans from,
- 8:29Speaker 1: and Jude, we get the Book of Jude from his
- 8:35Speaker 1: two brothers. If these were sons of Joseph, right, Mary
- 8:43Speaker 1: and Joseph, these were children from that marriage, that union,
- 8:49Speaker 1: And for that matter, we really don't hear any more
- 8:51Speaker 1: about Joseph as well. And so I know the Catholics
- 9:01Speaker 1: made her into some type of God, But you know,
- 9:04Speaker 1: we do not believe in that. The scripture doesn't say
- 9:07Speaker 1: that we need to worship Mary. As a matter of fact,
- 9:11Speaker 1: Jesus said, who is my mother? Right? But we do
- 9:15Speaker 1: honor her as the mother of our Savior and man
- 9:20Speaker 1: verse routeene. And in those days Peter stood up in
- 9:23Speaker 1: the midst of the disciples, although the number of names
- 9:30Speaker 1: was about one hundred and twenty, and said, men and brethren,
- 9:36Speaker 1: the scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit
- 9:42Speaker 1: spoke before by the mouth of David, according Judas, who
- 9:48Speaker 1: became a guide to those who arrested him. Now this
- 9:55Speaker 1: is interesting. I want to notice the nol scripture that
- 10:02Speaker 1: Peter has. He's quoting from the Book of Songs. And
- 10:07Speaker 1: now how important scripture has become in his life. And
- 10:15Speaker 1: this is exactly the same attitude we need to have
- 10:20Speaker 1: about the scriptures. The scriptures should be there to guide
- 10:24Speaker 1: us on a daily basis Verse seventeen. For he was
- 10:30Speaker 1: numbered with us and obtained a part in this ministry.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Now Judas was so close. He was numbered with the apostles,
- 10:44Speaker 1: and he had parts, and he shared with the ministry.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Now this man purchased a field with the wages of iniquity,
- 10:53Speaker 1: and falling headlong, he burst open in the middle in
- 10:59Speaker 1: all his his entrails gushed out. Wow. Now we know
- 11:05Speaker 1: that Judas says that he hung himself. But also I
- 11:11Speaker 1: believe that when he hung himself, he put the rope
- 11:15Speaker 1: around his neck and he jumped and the branch probably broke,
- 11:21Speaker 1: or maybe he snapped his neck or something, and he fell,
- 11:25Speaker 1: and that's how his intrails burst it out. Because there's
- 11:33Speaker 1: a couple of accounts of this. We know the Gospel
- 11:35Speaker 1: said that he hung himself, but Peter said that his
- 11:38Speaker 1: entrails gushed out, and it became known to all these
- 11:43Speaker 1: dwelling in Jerusalem, so that the field is called in
- 11:47Speaker 1: their own language akadema ak e l d a m
- 11:56Speaker 1: a akel dama. I believe that's how you pronounce it,
- 12:02Speaker 1: that is field of blood. It is called in their
- 12:06Speaker 1: language basically the field of blood, for it is written
- 12:10Speaker 1: in the Book of Psalms. Let his dwelling place be desolate,
- 12:17Speaker 1: and let no one live in it. The second time,
- 12:21Speaker 1: he's quoting from the book of Psalms, and let another
- 12:26Speaker 1: take his office. Therefore, of these men, now, I want
- 12:37Speaker 1: to say this before we move on. Judas had close
- 12:46Speaker 1: fellowship with Jesus. But even the whole time Jesus himself
- 12:53Speaker 1: said one of you is a devil. He did not
- 12:56Speaker 1: surprise us. Jesus knew who he was from the very beginning.
- 13:04Speaker 1: But it even says the scriptures must be fulfilled. Now,
- 13:10Speaker 1: David is one of my favorite Bible characters, an amazing
- 13:14Speaker 1: man of God, a mighty king of Israel. There was
- 13:20Speaker 1: a situation where David fell, and a part of the
- 13:25Speaker 1: consequences was his family was never the same again. There
- 13:29Speaker 1: was infighting, different things happening in his family, and his
- 13:34Speaker 1: son Absalom actually rebelled, rose up against him in the
- 13:38Speaker 1: efforts to take the throne. And so while this happened,
- 13:44Speaker 1: there was a I believe he was a prophet? Was
- 13:48Speaker 1: it Mahithaphel? Was his name? Going off the top of
- 13:53Speaker 1: my head, I should have got the scriptures up. But
- 13:55Speaker 1: if you read the story of David, I believe it's
- 13:58Speaker 1: in Second Samuel, you will come across his story. And
- 14:02Speaker 1: he became a counselor to Absalom. Now, somehow I believe
- 14:09Speaker 1: David had a close relationship with this man. This man
- 14:13Speaker 1: used to counsel David. This man was a wise counselor,
- 14:19Speaker 1: but he had something against David. I believe he was
- 14:23Speaker 1: related to Bathsheba somehow, and he was not happy with
- 14:30Speaker 1: what David. You know, David committed adult you with Bathsheba,
- 14:34Speaker 1: killed her husband and ended up, you know, marrying her
- 14:41Speaker 1: after he murdered her husband, and you know, they had
- 14:45Speaker 1: a child, and that's where you get King Solomon from.
- 14:47Speaker 1: But I believe this this prophet had something against David
- 14:55Speaker 1: because he was related to her, to Bathsheba. If I'm right,
- 14:59Speaker 1: do your own study on it, just to make If
- 15:03Speaker 1: I'm wrong, let me know in the life chat. But
- 15:05Speaker 1: it's been a while since I've studied it. But I
- 15:07Speaker 1: believe this was the background. And so once Absalom rose
- 15:12Speaker 1: up and betrayed David, and David felt that and solms
- 15:19Speaker 1: it says that I couldn't handle it. It was an enemy,
- 15:24Speaker 1: but it was you a close friend. Might equal. We
- 15:28Speaker 1: enjoyed sweet fellowship together. We went into the House of
- 15:32Speaker 1: the Lord together, and David was heartbroken. He was crushed
- 15:39Speaker 1: to have someone that close to him betray him, and
- 15:46Speaker 1: it's a foreshadowing and it's a symbol of Judas. How
- 15:52Speaker 1: Judas betrayed our savior. Jesus said that it would be
- 16:00Speaker 1: better for the man if he had never been born.
- 16:05Speaker 1: And even us, there are times, belove it that our
- 16:10Speaker 1: close friends, maybe even family members, people who we enjoyed
- 16:15Speaker 1: sweet fellowship together, will end up betraying us, end up
- 16:21Speaker 1: stabbing us in the back. And that's one of the
- 16:25Speaker 1: most painful things. We can handle it if it's a
- 16:28Speaker 1: hater or just somebody a coworker or you know, a
- 16:32Speaker 1: classmate or somebody like that. But someone close to you,
- 16:36Speaker 1: someone who knows your deep, deepest secret, someone who knows
- 16:39Speaker 1: your life, someone who be to be be trends, you know,
- 16:47Speaker 1: someone who pretends to be a friend and betrays you.
- 16:53Speaker 1: That's what some of the worst pains to go through.
- 17:00Speaker 1: But the Bible also says that Jesus has been tempted
- 17:02Speaker 1: in all areas like unto us, but without sinning, Jesus
- 17:07Speaker 1: understanding he knows that depth of betrayal, and he knows
- 17:14Speaker 1: how to get us through. He knows how to heal
- 17:16Speaker 1: our hearts. Remember it's always the word speak, the words speak,
- 17:21Speaker 1: the word over your heart speak healing. Amen. That's how
- 17:26Speaker 1: we defeat the enemy, the adversary. And so I think
- 17:30Speaker 1: it's interesting that Peter brings up David. He's quoting from
- 17:34Speaker 1: the Book of Psalms referring to Judas Is Scariot in
- 17:41Speaker 1: verse seventeen. He was numbered with us and obtained a
- 17:45Speaker 1: part in this ministry. Now this man purchase a field
- 17:50Speaker 1: with the wages of iniquity falling headlong and bursts open
- 17:54Speaker 1: in the middle, and all his entrails gushed out. Else
- 18:00Speaker 1: sounds pretty girls, right, And it became known to all
- 18:05Speaker 1: those dwelling in Jerusalem. So the field is called in
- 18:07Speaker 1: their language the field of blood. Ain't gonna try to
- 18:10Speaker 1: pronounce that word again, for it is written in the
- 18:13Speaker 1: Book of Psalms. Let his dwelling place be desolate, and
- 18:18Speaker 1: let no one live in it, and let another take
- 18:22Speaker 1: his place. Now, I think it's interesting it says another
- 18:27Speaker 1: take his place. If someone walks out on you on trip,
- 18:32Speaker 1: God is going to bring someone in to take their place,
- 18:36Speaker 1: to do what they have failed to do in your life,
- 18:40Speaker 1: or to be what they failed to be in your life.
- 18:44Speaker 1: God is able to restore what was lost. Amen. So
- 18:49Speaker 1: anyone therefore of these men who have accompanied us all
- 18:54Speaker 1: the time in that the Lord Jesus went in and
- 18:59Speaker 1: out among us, gaining from the baptism of John to
- 19:04Speaker 1: the day when he was taken up from us. One
- 19:08Speaker 1: of these must become a witness with us of his resurrection.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Now here's Peter moving. He wants to replace Judas. And
- 19:21Speaker 1: these are the requirements someone who came in and out
- 19:25Speaker 1: amongst us while Jesus was amongst us, and Barrel bore
- 19:29Speaker 1: witness of his resurrection. Now people ask today, and this
- 19:39Speaker 1: is do the apostleship still exists?
- 19:42Speaker 4: Like?
- 19:42Speaker 1: Can people still become apostles? Well, of course, knowing in
- 19:47Speaker 1: this generation, can really you know, be held to these
- 19:52Speaker 1: standards to be with Jesus from the days of John
- 19:55Speaker 1: the Baptists when he was alive, and to witness his resurrection.
- 20:00Speaker 1: But Jesus can still appear to people. And that I mean,
- 20:07Speaker 1: I don't know when I first heard of apostles. And
- 20:11Speaker 1: actually there's an our pastor has an apostle and apostolic
- 20:15Speaker 1: annointment in his life. First, you know, that kind of
- 20:19Speaker 1: puzzled mean, But the Bible does it say that there
- 20:24Speaker 1: will be no more apostles. It doesn't give us clear
- 20:28Speaker 1: instruction on that. But there are high standards to be
- 20:33Speaker 1: qualified to the apostleship. And they proposed to Joseph called
- 20:42Speaker 1: Barnabas was surname Justice and Matthias. And they prayed and said,
- 20:51Speaker 1: Oh Lord, who know the hearts of all, which is key,
- 20:57Speaker 1: show which of these two you have chosen and to
- 21:02Speaker 1: take part in this ministry, an apostleship from which Judas,
- 21:08Speaker 1: by transgression failed. Judas could have been an apostle that
- 21:14Speaker 1: he might go to his own place, which is a
- 21:18Speaker 1: horrible place. He went to Hell. I believe Judas is
- 21:22Speaker 1: in Hell right now as we speak. And Jesus himself
- 21:27Speaker 1: said that it would have been better if this man
- 21:29Speaker 1: would never have been born. Who knows what type of
- 21:34Speaker 1: torture and torment that he is undergoing, Demons assigned to him,
- 21:41Speaker 1: torturing him, the only one in that level that betrayed
- 21:49Speaker 1: him like he did. Now we all have the potential
- 21:52Speaker 1: to betray our Lord, which is we got to be
- 21:57Speaker 1: very careful of. So we can't necessarily try to, you know,
- 22:03Speaker 1: judge this man as if we're so righteous and above
- 22:06Speaker 1: and it would never happen. No, we have to pray
- 22:08Speaker 1: against you know, because Our flesh is our flesh, right,
- 22:15Speaker 1: But this man is in his own place. Hell is real.
- 22:20Speaker 1: If you look on the app, I'm always point you
- 22:25Speaker 1: to the top left menu, hit that drop down and
- 22:27Speaker 1: you will see a tab right there that says hell
- 22:31Speaker 1: is real. There's a testimony of a man who went
- 22:34Speaker 1: to hell for twenty eight minutes. It's horrendous. I encourage
- 22:39Speaker 1: everyone who's listening to this podcast to go click on
- 22:44Speaker 1: that and watch that video. It's always healthy to have
- 22:48Speaker 1: a good fear of God in our hearts. Always amen.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Verse twenty six. And they cast lots, and the lot
- 22:56Speaker 1: fell on Matthias, and he was no numbered with the
- 23:01Speaker 1: eleven apostles. Now, I do want to say this before
- 23:04Speaker 1: we break all this down, that I don't know this
- 23:11Speaker 1: kind of happened before the Pentecost, before the outpoint of
- 23:17Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit. It doesn't necessarily say that the Holy
- 23:22Speaker 1: Spirit told Peter to replace Judas. I think this is
- 23:29Speaker 1: Peter being Peter. Peter probably kind of got ahead of
- 23:34Speaker 1: the progress a little bit, because who is Matthias, Like,
- 23:38Speaker 1: we never heard of him before or after this. And
- 23:43Speaker 1: they cast lots. That was something they did in the
- 23:45Speaker 1: Old Testament. You don't see it in the New Testament
- 23:50Speaker 1: except for this point in the law. They did this.
- 23:56Speaker 1: That's how David went to battle. David, but as should
- 23:59Speaker 1: we go up against the Philistines. And they cast lots.
- 24:02Speaker 1: I believe they were the rm and the thummum. Where
- 24:07Speaker 1: they would try to get it was like a black
- 24:08Speaker 1: rock or a white rock, and they went and wanted
- 24:11Speaker 1: to find the will of God. They would somehow throw
- 24:16Speaker 1: the rocks out or something. And if it was white
- 24:19Speaker 1: it means gold. Black it meant no. But now with
- 24:23Speaker 1: the outpoint of the Holy Spirit that they we don't
- 24:26Speaker 1: cast lots anymore. And so who is Matthias? If you know,
- 24:31Speaker 1: let me know, I mean a life chat. What has
- 24:34Speaker 1: he done? He hasn't written a book. We haven't heard
- 24:36Speaker 1: from him since this. I believe the obvious choice was
- 24:42Speaker 1: the apostle Paul, who did an amazing work for the kingdom.
- 24:51Speaker 1: I believe that Paul the Apostle replaced Judas the Scariot,
- 24:57Speaker 1: who Paul did a great job for the kingdom. But
- 25:03Speaker 1: like I said, that's my opinion. Do your own study
- 25:06Speaker 1: on it. Amen. So let's break all this down another one,
- 25:13Speaker 1: all right. These passages show the obedience and unity of
- 25:20Speaker 1: the early believers. Now, Jesus told them to wait in Jerusalem,
- 25:26Speaker 1: and they did just that, though it would have been
- 25:31Speaker 1: easier to probably scatter in fear and confusion. Now in
- 25:39Speaker 1: verse fourteen, it says that they continued in one accord
- 25:46Speaker 1: in prayer. You know that was not their car. They
- 25:51Speaker 1: didn't all have one accord. They continued in one accord.
- 25:55Speaker 1: They had unity together. Now, the Greek word for one accord,
- 26:03Speaker 1: the meaning of it is with one mind, one passion,
- 26:08Speaker 1: and one heart. This word appears eleven times in the
- 26:15Speaker 1: Book of Acts, and it's showing the power of unity
- 26:20Speaker 1: in the early Church. There is power when we are
- 26:23Speaker 1: united together, loving each other. Just as Christ commanded us
- 26:29Speaker 1: to respecting each other, you got to respect each other.
- 26:34Speaker 1: In the office in the world that God has placed
- 26:36Speaker 1: in our lives, some of us are called to lead.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Some of us has that office as a leader in
- 26:44Speaker 1: the church, either you're a pastor or apostle, or Bible
- 26:51Speaker 1: study leader or ministry leader. We show love by submitting
- 26:55Speaker 1: to our leaders and respecting their authority, not rebelling against them.
- 27:01Speaker 1: And that's how we show unity. There's things that are
- 27:04Speaker 1: going to come through your leader that God is not
- 27:08Speaker 1: going to necessarily come through you to get He wants
- 27:12Speaker 1: you to get things from your leaders. There's power in unity. Yes,
- 27:18Speaker 1: we can serve God together, I mean alone, worship God alone.
- 27:21Speaker 1: You know, we don't need to go through our leaders.
- 27:24Speaker 1: As far as our mediator, there's only one mediator, and
- 27:31Speaker 1: that's Christ Jesus. We can go to God directly. That
- 27:34Speaker 1: God is a god of order and structure. There's a
- 27:38Speaker 1: role that your leaders play in your life that you're
- 27:44Speaker 1: not gonna get until you submit to the process. And
- 27:50Speaker 1: you know me, if you know my testimony, you know
- 27:53Speaker 1: I've always talk about pastors that overstep their bounds and
- 27:59Speaker 1: control and dimind and their congregants the people that they're leading.
- 28:05Speaker 1: But there is a balance, there is a place where
- 28:08Speaker 1: they do have authority and they have an anointing and
- 28:12Speaker 1: blessing to pass on to the people if they are faithful. Amen.
- 28:23Speaker 1: Now let's take a look at Peter real quick. Now,
- 28:30Speaker 1: even after falling Jesus, he denied Jesus three times, and
- 28:37Speaker 1: Jesus gave him the opportunity to proclaim his love three times.
- 28:44Speaker 1: We talked about that. We know that God wants us
- 28:47Speaker 1: to have a capacity and I pray that you add
- 28:50Speaker 1: this to your prayer life you're prayerless. He wants us
- 28:54Speaker 1: to have the capacity to love from a God a
- 28:57Speaker 1: place of supreme life love. It's in a gode love
- 29:01Speaker 1: and unconditional love. And pray that God will enlarge your
- 29:06Speaker 1: heart to turn your love for him into a gope.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Because Peter was at for LeHo, which is like a
- 29:13Speaker 1: brotherly kindness type of love. But Jesus wants the supreme love.
- 29:19Speaker 1: He wants to be first. The Bible says, love the
- 29:22Speaker 1: Lord of all your heart, mind, soul, and strength. And
- 29:26Speaker 1: then love your neighbor is yourself. God wants us to
- 29:28Speaker 1: love each other in a gope. Amen. And so even
- 29:36Speaker 1: though Peter failed right here, he stands up again as
- 29:41Speaker 1: a leader in the crowd. Now that's evidence of God's restorate,
- 29:48Speaker 1: restoring grace. God can restore us from any place of failure.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Don't let condemnation and accusation shame make you fall short
- 30:03Speaker 1: from a call that God has on your life. And
- 30:06Speaker 1: I'm speaking as a person who has failed my savior
- 30:11Speaker 1: multiple times. Man Now in verse twenty four and twenty six,
- 30:25Speaker 1: Before Pentecosts, they used the Old Testament method of casting
- 30:29Speaker 1: the lots to discern God's will, and we talked about that, right,
- 30:35Speaker 1: but after the Holy Spirit came, the Spirit himself became
- 30:39Speaker 1: the guide. This meant that the old ways of casting lots,
- 30:51Speaker 1: the Old Testament, there was a transition to the New Testament.
- 30:57Speaker 1: It's a symbol of the transition from the law to
- 31:01Speaker 1: the spirit. That's where God wants us, that he wants
- 31:06Speaker 1: us in the spirit. Now this hits pretty deep, y'all
- 31:11Speaker 1: because we see the disciples waiting, praying and standing together,
- 31:20Speaker 1: and they didn't know how long it would take. That
- 31:23Speaker 1: they trusted the promise, they trusted the process. In verse fourteen,
- 31:30Speaker 1: they continued with one accord in prayer. That's the kind
- 31:35Speaker 1: of unity God blesses. Right, God is not gonna bless
- 31:40Speaker 1: our mess. He's not gonna bless the vision. That divided
- 31:45Speaker 1: house will not stand. That's in her home, that's in
- 31:48Speaker 1: her churches, our ministries. I pray. That's one of the
- 31:54Speaker 1: things that tactics that the enemy used against his hot nation.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Especially in the early days, there was a lot of betrayal,
- 32:02Speaker 1: a lot of vision, a lot of complaining a lot
- 32:05Speaker 1: of things. And I'm not saying that I'm perfect. I
- 32:09Speaker 1: was immature. I wasn't able to stand against it because
- 32:13Speaker 1: I didn't have the proper training. I kind of ran
- 32:16Speaker 1: ahead and a lot of what I did, And now
- 32:21Speaker 1: after experiencing it, I know better. Now. That's why I
- 32:27Speaker 1: know that God isn't done with this opination yet. We've
- 32:31Speaker 1: got more to do in our community a man. Now,
- 32:36Speaker 1: the church isn't just a place together on Sundays, you know,
- 32:41Speaker 1: it's a family that prays together, waits together, and stays
- 32:47Speaker 1: focused on the promises of God together. And then when
- 32:55Speaker 1: Peter speaks up, he doesn't the people out of pride.
- 33:02Speaker 1: He's not prideful. He's not puffed up anymore. He leads
- 33:08Speaker 1: out of repentance and restoration. He's humble now, he's been
- 33:12Speaker 1: through some stuff. He knows that we need to depend
- 33:18Speaker 1: on God. We need God's power, we need God's grace.
- 33:22Speaker 1: It's not about us, it's about the Christ in us.
- 33:25Speaker 1: That's why I say that, Amen, God can still use
- 33:29Speaker 1: you after your biggest failure. So those listening please listen up.
- 33:36Speaker 1: You may have failed. It could have been sexual sin,
- 33:41Speaker 1: It could have been drugs, alcohol, could been a felled
- 33:46Speaker 1: family of feled marriage, a failed opportunity, failed minish you,
- 33:50Speaker 1: whatever don't let that failure define you. That's not who
- 33:54Speaker 1: you are. There is grace for you to get back up.
- 34:01Speaker 1: That is grace and action. Now, when they chose Matthias,
- 34:10Speaker 1: they prayed you, Oh Lord know the hearts of all men.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Now that's key right there. God knows every single heart
- 34:22Speaker 1: you do not. I repeat, We do not have to
- 34:28Speaker 1: compare or compete with one another. All we have to
- 34:34Speaker 1: do is just be faithful to the Lord.
- 34:39Speaker 4: One.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Now, before the spirit came, they positioned themselves in unity
- 34:44Speaker 1: and in obedience, and that is what opened the door
- 34:51Speaker 1: for Pentecost. Before the power comes, there must be prep opiration.
- 35:02Speaker 1: My question to you is what are you preparing for?
- 35:08Speaker 1: What do you need power to accomplish for? What has
- 35:15Speaker 1: God called you to? And are you in a place
- 35:21Speaker 1: of submission in unity? In the body of Christ. There
- 35:27Speaker 1: is no such thing as lone rangers. You need that fellowship,
- 35:32Speaker 1: you need that covering. That's what I always say, especially
- 35:40Speaker 1: when we do our accountability partner segment. You need a
- 35:44Speaker 1: Pall in your life. You need someone who's poorn into you.
- 35:48Speaker 1: You also need a Timothy. You need someone that you're
- 35:51Speaker 1: pouring into as well. That is a healthy move of God.
- 35:56Speaker 1: That's how the body grows, and that's how we stay
- 35:59Speaker 1: accountable a man. All right, let's take a break. We'll
- 36:07Speaker 1: be right back.
- 36:07Speaker 2: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 36:11Speaker 2: is the hiss Hop radio show.
- 36:15Speaker 3: Every day we die every day, every day, every.
- 36:21Speaker 5: Day we die, every day, every day we die everyday.
- 36:34Speaker 2: I try to want him, I really did.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Huh.
- 36:40Speaker 3: All I saw was red like a mad at all.
- 36:42Speaker 3: Then I've seen his brain matter on the matted floor.
- 36:45Speaker 3: Should have told him that he mad at more. Now
- 36:48Speaker 3: a test fall like the rose petals that hit the
- 36:51Speaker 3: casket dogs in the talk when you was backing raw
- 36:54Speaker 3: saying it was with you laughing, giving you a couple
- 36:57Speaker 3: of japs to know. So you get up like this
- 37:00Speaker 3: game and you try to play the.
- 37:01Speaker 6: Dance, you're the rules for.
- 37:02Speaker 2: The pain, and Mama crying crazier.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Remember reason of you as a.
- 37:06Speaker 3: Little boy saying, Mama picked me up.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Gotta screaming no, not my baby. I'm trying to pray.
- 37:12Speaker 1: But that was the last minute. And I read Lives
- 37:15Speaker 1: of the.
- 37:15Speaker 3: Sand in the hour glass, finished lips, the tail shrink steak,
- 37:19Speaker 3: You ate well, hits your faith where eight shells your faith?
- 37:23Speaker 3: Saund after the pick from to kiss of death, you
- 37:26Speaker 3: can taste hell voice as well, and then regret this
- 37:29Speaker 3: match you weight twelve. Jesus told me about the nash
- 37:32Speaker 3: and other chiefs should have been asking her for piece,
- 37:34Speaker 3: not his maggets underneath. And now you casting and your
- 37:38Speaker 3: reaction to the piece, and you should have laid your
- 37:40Speaker 3: tasks at a seat. One thing about this game of life.
- 37:44Speaker 3: Once you play, there ain't no recess. You trade the
- 37:46Speaker 3: salvation for your desire. What's the weed sex and squeeze
- 37:50Speaker 3: tags A. I'm trying to scom about the devil's playground,
- 37:53Speaker 3: but instead he run this pave before a recess.
- 37:55Speaker 5: Now boy suddenly started flying to night.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Here a park more that dust settled. One person was
- 38:00Speaker 2: dead and several others.
- 38:02Speaker 1: Injured, and new will fully say one person was shot
- 38:04Speaker 1: and hilled here on Blood Street.
- 38:06Speaker 3: Police were locked in on this area in front of
- 38:08Speaker 3: the liquor store.
- 38:08Speaker 1: We watched us more officers. I started arriving unseen, and
- 38:11Speaker 1: I did speak with neighbors off cameras.
- 38:13Speaker 6: Somewhere in tears.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Mother's telling me to change her to check out what's
- 38:17Speaker 1: going on. Now we're talking about shooting that has certainly
- 38:20Speaker 1: rattled this community.
- 38:21Speaker 4: As I look in my mirror and try to tie
- 38:24Speaker 4: my time, my mother walks in. I see tears in
- 38:26Speaker 4: her crying eyes. She sits on my bed, and now
- 38:29Speaker 4: the work comes out of mouth. We all are down,
- 38:32Speaker 4: and now it's been quiet throughout the house.
- 38:34Speaker 1: People always say death.
- 38:36Speaker 4: Is the natural water of life, but when it hits,
- 38:38Speaker 4: that saying doesn't stop our hardest strikes.
- 38:40Speaker 6: My father yells out and find my nose.
- 38:42Speaker 1: It's time to go to the funeral room home.
- 38:45Speaker 4: And it's the part on the slide the month, because
- 38:47Speaker 4: it shucks seeing your loved one in the coffin. We
- 38:50Speaker 4: reached the funeral room home, my mom is the first
- 38:52Speaker 4: to walk in. My father holds a hand, and when
- 38:55Speaker 4: they reached the casket, my mother screams and.
- 38:57Speaker 1: Know not my baby.
- 38:58Speaker 4: Then she collectses the words confused me. So I look
- 39:01Speaker 4: and can't believe my eyes. In front of me is
- 39:04Speaker 4: an open casket and it's being signed. Suddenly, I can't
- 39:07Speaker 4: remember all that happened. I was with the spoiler trapping
- 39:10Speaker 4: and if he's called a slacking, they prompted us and
- 39:13Speaker 4: they left the bullets as a departing gift, and that
- 39:16Speaker 4: is how I ended.
- 39:17Speaker 1: Up here as a carcas stiff.
- 39:19Speaker 4: I heard some whispers behind me, so I turned to seat.
- 39:22Speaker 4: It was some men in cloaks. He had that was
- 39:23Speaker 4: scored me to eternity. They walked me to my door.
- 39:26Speaker 4: They grabbed the nob and turned the heat unlike any
- 39:29Speaker 4: heat I have ever felt, started burning me. They said,
- 39:32Speaker 4: this is a home that will lead to a turn
- 39:34Speaker 4: of deep and help with hole being every idle burning.
- 39:37Speaker 6: D I left the jar in heaven and I started
- 39:40Speaker 6: that game. Please give me another.
- 39:42Speaker 4: Chance, And I tried to fall in reference, but Steve
- 39:45Speaker 4: Man trab me by my arms and then they forced
- 39:47Speaker 4: me hand.
- 39:47Speaker 1: How I refalling.
- 39:48Speaker 4: I braced myself to get the flour.
- 39:50Speaker 6: But then, yeah, I gotta get my life together.
- 40:03Speaker 1: Man, Okay, yeah, you're scared of dying. Yeah, everybody's scared
- 40:09Speaker 1: to die.
- 40:10Speaker 2: But it's nothing though.
- 40:11Speaker 1: I mean gonna be scared, like to be really scared
- 40:13Speaker 1: about it. But I'm scared to die. I ain't gonna
- 40:14Speaker 1: let nobody know that. You know, I never showed nobody
- 40:17Speaker 1: that I'm scared to die.
- 40:18Speaker 3: It's a block forever. It's a block forever block.
- 40:22Speaker 2: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 40:25Speaker 2: is the hiss hop radio show.
- 40:38Speaker 4: It looks like you lost another one.
- 40:44Speaker 1: And we are back. We are back. That is uh,
- 40:48Speaker 1: every day we die. Uh. It's our brother Dnton off
- 40:53Speaker 1: of his new project there. That song is pretty deep.
- 40:58Speaker 1: You never know when you're gonna draw that last breath.
- 41:04Speaker 1: We definitely got to get our lives together because eternity
- 41:06Speaker 1: is way too long to be wrong, you know what
- 41:09Speaker 1: I'm saying. So that is pretty deep. As we're talking
- 41:15Speaker 1: about Judas and how he betrayed our Savior and how
- 41:20Speaker 1: you know, our flesh we could betray him too. We
- 41:24Speaker 1: have the potential to sell out if we are not careful.
- 41:28Speaker 1: That's why we have to win this war every day
- 41:31Speaker 1: to do the right thing, to put on the mind
- 41:34Speaker 1: of Christ, to walk in the spirit, and to crucify
- 41:38Speaker 1: our flesh. Amen. That's why we jump on here every
- 41:43Speaker 1: day to hold each other accountable. And that's a good
- 41:46Speaker 1: segue to go into our next segment, the accountability Partner.
- 41:52Speaker 1: This was birth out of me working the altar at
- 41:55Speaker 1: church and praying for the saints and noticing the same
- 42:00Speaker 1: struggle for years. Some people are trapped in the same
- 42:04Speaker 1: cycle of sin, and I've been myself. I love it
- 42:08Speaker 1: and I'm not above anyone else. But there's a power
- 42:13Speaker 1: when we come together in unity. We just read it
- 42:16Speaker 1: here in a book of acts. When we agree together
- 42:18Speaker 1: in prayer, and when we genuinely from our hearts love
- 42:23Speaker 1: one another. The Lord knows every heart. He knows when
- 42:26Speaker 1: we're faking it, he knows when we're just using people,
- 42:29Speaker 1: he knows when we're just I'm gonna be with this
- 42:33Speaker 1: person until I get what I want, until I achieve
- 42:36Speaker 1: the goal that I think I can achieve, and then
- 42:39Speaker 1: I'm just gonna cut this person off.
- 42:41Speaker 6: No.
- 42:44Speaker 1: God wants us to egapa each other, to love each
- 42:47Speaker 1: other supremely, and to consider one another before ourselves even Amen.
- 42:55Speaker 1: So if you need that accountability, if you want us
- 42:58Speaker 1: to come on excite you, go on the app to
- 43:01Speaker 1: the top level menu, click on podcasts, Click on his
- 43:05Speaker 1: High Radio podcasts and scroll down until you see the
- 43:08Speaker 1: accountability partner link. Go through the questions, fill it out,
- 43:13Speaker 1: request a follow up. If you'll like one of us
- 43:16Speaker 1: to pray, what you call text or email and just
- 43:21Speaker 1: you know, just share the will of God. You know,
- 43:24Speaker 1: see Guy's will for your life. If you have something
- 43:28Speaker 1: that you're struggling with and you're trying to break it
- 43:31Speaker 1: be setting sin, It could be drugs, alcohol, sex, whatever, anger,
- 43:36Speaker 1: attitudes that give you a number of things. We need
- 43:39Speaker 1: that accountability to help us to truly change if we're
- 43:45Speaker 1: serious about it. And also here is a challenge for
- 43:50Speaker 1: this week. This is are also posted in the live chat.
- 43:55Speaker 1: You can go back and read it this week. Talk
- 43:58Speaker 1: to your accountability partner about am I walking in unity
- 44:05Speaker 1: with my brothers and sisters in Christ? Am I truly
- 44:08Speaker 1: walking in unity? Do I spend more time praying with
- 44:13Speaker 1: people or talking about problems? Let me see that again.
- 44:19Speaker 1: Do you spend more time praying with people or more
- 44:24Speaker 1: time talking about problems? And issue? Challenge each other to
- 44:27Speaker 1: pray together for one specific promise from God this week
- 44:33Speaker 1: and wait on him in faith, wait on that promise.
- 44:39Speaker 1: Say man, all right? Quick update about his hot radio.
- 44:50Speaker 1: We are monitored in a reporting radio station. Submit your
- 44:55Speaker 1: music on our website hishtnation dot com. We do report
- 45:01Speaker 1: to the charts. Our genre will get more respect and
- 45:05Speaker 1: when they see we have our own charts and when
- 45:07Speaker 1: we're actually taking over the charts. And I do want
- 45:12Speaker 1: to say something about mainstream worldly secular hip hop from
- 45:20Speaker 1: what I hear, I haven't done the research, but I
- 45:24Speaker 1: hear that they are not on the charts. They're not
- 45:26Speaker 1: on the billboards, they're not topping the charts. The first
- 45:30Speaker 1: time in almost fifty years, rap music is not dominating
- 45:35Speaker 1: the charts. I believe that's because people are sick of
- 45:39Speaker 1: the content. They're getting sick of what they are promoting.
- 45:46Speaker 1: And I believe that this is a great opportunity for
- 45:49Speaker 1: chh to take over and to stand up and then
- 45:56Speaker 1: so submit, check out our promos, consider purchasing one of
- 46:04Speaker 1: our advertisement packages, and that's how you're gonna get charted
- 46:09Speaker 1: on the station. And there's also a chart on the
- 46:13Speaker 1: app itself, his Hot Radio App. Click that thumbs up
- 46:17Speaker 1: button when your favorite song plays. Amen, and like, subscribe
- 46:26Speaker 1: to all that good stuff. Share the app with your friends,
- 46:30Speaker 1: your followers, your fans, become one of the influencers, one
- 46:35Speaker 1: of the faces of his Hot Radio App. That will
- 46:38Speaker 1: help us spread this movement even further. Amen. Now it's
- 46:46Speaker 1: time for some trivia. The question is how many believers
- 46:53Speaker 1: were gathered in the Upper Room waiting for the promise
- 46:57Speaker 1: of the Holy Spirit. How many believers the answers are
- 47:02Speaker 1: And this is also in the Life Chat. You can
- 47:04Speaker 1: post your answer. Was it seventy, was it one hundred,
- 47:07Speaker 1: one hundred and twenty or three hundred? Rap your answers,

- 50:33Speaker 3: It looks like you lost another one.
- 50:36Speaker 1: Like I said, we minister at the juvenile Detention center
- 50:39Speaker 1: and different places. We target the at risk youth in
- 50:42Speaker 1: the underserved in our community. So your support will be appreciated.
- 50:52Speaker 1: All right, this is my time to close out, but
- 50:55Speaker 1: I have some closing comments here. Before power came, they
- 51:02Speaker 1: waited immunity, before revival broke out, they prayed together. Let
- 51:13Speaker 1: that be a challenge today. Stay united, stay prayerful, and
- 51:20Speaker 1: stay ready because the same spirit that fell in Acts
- 51:27Speaker 1: is still moving today. Amen. We could look just like
- 51:33Speaker 1: they looked in the Book of Acts. I would believe
- 51:36Speaker 1: that with all my heart. Now I want to remind
- 51:44Speaker 1: you also, don't just go to church. Be the church. Amen.
- 51:49Speaker 1: We are the church. And remember it's not about us,
- 51:56Speaker 1: It's all about the Christ in us. God bless.
- 52:00Speaker 2: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 52:03Speaker 2: is the Bishop Radio Show.
