- 1:32[SPEAKER_02]: Steve, welcome to daily influence.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_02]: See, can you share a bit about your background and what led you to where you are today with our listeners?
- 1:40[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm 64, so I started way back when I was 18 finished high school and in your high school graduation senior, you need money because you're going to go out with your boys, you want to maybe date, whatever it may be, and after time, my family started a health club.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_01]: And so my cousin Jeff reached out and said, hey, why don't you work the front desk?
- 1:59[SPEAKER_01]: A day online, I need a job.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: So as I worked the front desk at 18, 30, 50, 50, 60 year olds from some very successful coming in.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_01]: And it would be a Tony Evergreen workout.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, Tony Evergreen, great day.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_01]: Being very cordial.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_01]: But then conversations were long and became a Tony, how much grandkids?
- 2:18[SPEAKER_01]: I love my grandkids or hey Jim, how was your vacation to Belize?
- 2:22[SPEAKER_01]: All Steve was great.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: You got to go, but then I started going out to dinner and people were buying me dinner or taking me out to lunch because what was I doing?
- 2:29[SPEAKER_01]: Building a relationship.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_01]: by impacting people, by making people be seen, helping them with their health and fitness, and wellness there.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: Because what I would do is walk through and bless my cousin Jeff, shout out to him.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_01]: Blessed that he left me, walk through the gym.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_01]: That was my job.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: Check the equipment, but help people.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're doing today.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: How's your, you know, one of my, I remember when she was pregnant on the machine.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: She was through the next day.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about her baby.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_01]: She had a baby in the next day.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_01]: She was a rock star.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_01]: But these were laces of just really growing.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_01]: And what I learned from serving came from Tony, who's a short Italian guy, financial advisor, work with millions of dollars.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_01]: And he threw a book at me.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, kid!
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: Here's the wealthy barber.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_01]: Read it and I'll get back next week or I come back in.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_01]: I need to know what you learned from it.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: Sure, the 40 50 page book.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_01]: So he comes in and he goes, did you read it kid?
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: I said, yeah, I read it.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_01]: I scared it and I was gonna read it anyways.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_01]: Cause, you know, he's a great guy, but he's, you know, top of time.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: If you think Al Pacino.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: or Robert De Nero.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_01]: And I said, so what you told what it says is that take 10% of my income, by the way, this is 1980.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_01]: I just make it 350 an hour.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_01]: We're making a lot of money.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: So he said, just take 10% if you make a thousand that month, take $100 per row, whatever you do it.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: I don't care what you, you know, just do that, but don't touch it.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: And I look at it pretty awkwardly through the years and I didn't touch it.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_01]: He has always sit on my shoulder, they angel, but in 1990 by 10 years later, it was 28.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_01]: And I looked at the account, it was $68,000 in that account.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I always like wanting the water, I'm crazy.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_01]: So I call them because I was still connected, which is the cool thing.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_01]: You can still call these guys later, because they're still friends.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_01]: And I said, here's what happened.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_01]: Can I give you $1,000?
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: This is your work.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_01]: No, absolutely not.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: I said, can you tell me why?
- 4:28[SPEAKER_01]: He said, Steve, because you took my advice.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_01]: Give it to you for a willing one to help you out.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_01]: One to serve you.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_01]: Millionaires came into my office.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure people in my universe came to me because you took my advice and ran with it.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_01]: Because I served you.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: I got off that phone, I went homely macro.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: Now only I'll make $68,000.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_01]: I got a multi-million dollar tip, serve, serve, serve.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: He'd never talked about transaction or transactional.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_01]: Talked about serving.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: So I just ran with that and I got amazing stories that went out.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that leads me to my next question.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for sharing that.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_02]: Can you tell us about a moment or experience where you've thought you made a positive impact on someone's life through your introductions in service?
- 5:14[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, God, it's such a wonderful question.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't get asked this enough because anybody can do this.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'm special because I take action and people will all know you're made big for the credit words.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_01]: I guess I am, but the nice thing is anybody can do this.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: And one great story was I met a slave to last year, give her three referrals six weeks go by and I realize she's not they're not connecting to you on the multiple email.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_01]: The thread.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_01]: If I'm these six weeks later, I get an email and she goes, you know, I apologize.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_01]: I'm late, but I've got twins, the special needs.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: I wasn't aware of that.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm struggling financially.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_01]: Me, my husband, how would you take care of and resources?
- 5:56[SPEAKER_01]: She goes, you've completely changed my life.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_01]: I know she was crying when she wrote this.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_01]: Steve, those three people have changed our lives.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_01]: We not have money.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_01]: We not have resources.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_01]: And we have helped.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: We've been looking for 10 years to take care of what, you're gonna get me lumpy here.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_01]: But here's the cool thing.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't know that.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_01]: I just have that mentality of introduction serve,
- 6:21[SPEAKER_01]: And I've saved that email.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't, my little testimonial folder.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_01]: I looked at once and a while.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_01]: We can do amazing things in a lot of times, Greg.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_01]: We don't hear this.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_01]: And that's OK. That wouldn't you do, magical.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to be a beautiful story.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_02]: And not only you had a positive influence on her, but look at the positive influence she's had on you.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: Got me going, got me wanted to help more people.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, something big happening
- 6:49[SPEAKER_01]: We have no control and other people do, but we have control how we connect those other people.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_01]: That's how we need to do.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: I tell people to interduction and that's it.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_01]: Follow up sometimes and some people will grab follow up and I need to be better at it.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_01]: But a lot of people aren't taking that for step and growing.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_01]: Here's a couple people I need to connect you with.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: or even think about it, it just pops and breaks.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_02]: We really believe that as humans are most important responsibility is our influence.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_02]: And that's the influence we have on ourselves and those around us.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_02]: So it's important that it's a positive and responsible one.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_02]: And you sure are doing that in your podcasts is built on the idea of serving before selling.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_02]: And how is that principal shaped your career?
- 7:29[SPEAKER_02]: And how do you see it creating responsible influence in today's business world?
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: Well, two things when people have come from tragic tragedies on a number of incredible stories, now 800 more shows, but what I've learned is they're serving me these, these guests.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_01]: And I was diagnosed with diabetes in May of 2025.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_01]: Scared me, so that a friend's a died from diabetes, serious.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_01]: And my character's told me about me, but they've had a problem.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_01]: Again, the universe, I believe in God, you know, God had this guy in my podcast, Eric, and he came on and talked about the mention and health and all that.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_01]: And it was such a great show, but I did the ask, which was talking to you about, but after before the show.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_01]: I say, Eric, here's it, you know, here's the deal.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_01]: I kept diagnosed with diabetes.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm on this metformin.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_01]: He said, hey, do this into this, but that book you got, read that book.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_01]: Now, if I didn't have a podcast, not 100%, but 90%, I might be still diabetic.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_01]: I might have problems, because I got off my cholesterol medicine too.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, quick no people listening, it's fasting.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: I do Mondays, I do 24-hour fast, which is what the book says.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_01]: But I just, I mean, another gentleman, Alfonso, who is in jail for 32 years at 17, who's convicted.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_01]: He was never there.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_01]: His Lord didn't bring the three witnesses to prove he wasn't there.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_01]: So he spent five years in solitary because it became a prisoner, became the culture.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_01]: I interviewed him and it's so powerful.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_01]: How could you be so grateful, Alfonso?
- 9:19[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if I could be.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: I hope God and my soul do that, but you're smiling, you're happy, it goes Steve here's, I'll tell you a little story and audience, listen to this.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: He said, I drive in my car and go to the lake, I sit on the bench and I'm seeing the sunrise.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_01]: And the birds twerk, you know, sing in and spline by, and the water ripple.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_01]: I missed that for 32 years, the little things.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_01]: their big things to me now and he comes up every couple of weeks, something happened.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_01]: I think of him.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_01]: But I didn't pack.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: He served me the guest as I served him by having him on the show.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_01]: So there's just some of the ways.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, I started a restaurant, a friend of mine reached out after I we sold the health club, say, I want you to start a rescue.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_01]: I don't
- 10:10[SPEAKER_01]: Well, guess what, we start this restaurant when I do, I went to my home network in the health club.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_01]: Hey guys and girls, I'm right in the restaurant and I come see me.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_01]: We are packed when Thursday Friday Saturday because all those people came to see us because I built relations.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_01]: I connected with them and all the stuff I had mentioned before and then we closed that down three years later.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_01]: He did and I launched a recycling company with technology.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: and in California where I'm much needed, I had six figures within six months in the company.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we've seen that much in a bank account ever.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_01]: The other one is to my restaurant network and the health club, hey, if you need computers or a transfer cycle, you can drop off for free or pick up for free.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_01]: I have emails at the top of emails.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_01]: My guys are so busy and then we do non-profit events where we raise money for schools or communities and stuff like that.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_01]: But it just works and I've seen it happen big time.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_02]: Those are great examples.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for sharing them.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_02]: You know, one of your core messages is about being transformational, not transactional.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_02]: How can leaders and entrepreneurs apply this mindset in building their teams and communities?
- 11:20[SPEAKER_01]: You're incredible host.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_01]: Those are just great questions.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's super simple.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: Two things.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_01]: Ted Louss is curious, be curious, not judgmental.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_01]: And how do you be curious?
- 11:33[SPEAKER_01]: Here's the secret sauce.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's why I'm so successful today.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_01]: Asyloprincival, ASL-A, ask, shut up, listen, and ask.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_01]: Because when you ask, and you shut up and listen, and ask, if the second ask is, because you're curious, well, okay, Greg, you just said that you're been a business 30 years.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, for congratulations, I can identify.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_01]: When build relationship, but then go, you know, you challenge yourself, what do you need to do?
- 11:59[SPEAKER_01]: You know, as I ask questions on being curious than learning, now people go crazy out loud with people, well, if I shut up, all right, what's the name?
- 12:07[SPEAKER_01]: And you're not.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_01]: And here's an image that you all know now after COVID we did on Zoom rooms.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_01]: And a person's screen goes back.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not being professional, but they may go in the bathroom, door, you know, door, being a drink of water.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_01]: Are they truly listening to the person speaking
- 12:24[SPEAKER_01]: Otherwise.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, again, I'm not judging because I do something, but when you're on a one call or calls, I try to have my video on all the time.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_01]: I meet with multimillionaires and billionaires definitely are going to keep the video on, but always keep the video on because there's your scene and there's.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I agree with that.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_02]: You know,
- 12:46[SPEAKER_02]: Today world AI is such a hot topic.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_02]: Are you using it in your work or your personal life and if so, how are you integrating it and creating meaningful connections without losing that human touch?
- 12:59[SPEAKER_01]: AI, a Gary Werner check, marketing guru Gary Vee goes by, I list a podcast a few weeks when he talked about this, and I use it all the time.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: And Gary, if you want to sponsor me in Greg's podcast, just let us know, we would definitely take that.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_01]: AI is gonna give us more time.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_01]: When I do my podcast, I do my all 850 shows myself.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_01]: Takes me 10, 15 minutes.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_01]: If I had without AI, I couldn't do as many shows,
- 13:29[SPEAKER_01]: because it would take too long.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_01]: Now I'm taking the transcripts and the words from the people as the guest.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not using AI to change humanity.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just taking the words and breaking it down in great content.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_01]: And I use AI for my follow-ups.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_01]: I get an AI platform that put in my referrals.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_01]: it's a tool and that's all it is.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_01]: Think about this.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_01]: I'm older.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: 97 in the internet came out.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_01]: Could we learn how to do it?
- 13:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm search.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_01]: And then we were worried about the internet.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_01]: All my God, it's taking over the world.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_01]: Same thing.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's just a different form of that.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_01]: And we learned how to search.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_01]: Now, anybody can jump on, even if I do, I'll go.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay, movies are 10 o'clock or 8 o'clock or whatever AI I think is going to be the same way, but internet has bad things too.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_01]: It's got the black web AI will be the same.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: There's going to be really good stuff and stuff to probably need to avoid that's a great analogy.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_02]: Steve, thanks for putting it into that perspective.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_01]: You often talk about the importance of leaders always learning and surrounding themselves with the right people what practices or habits have helped you grow both personally professionally reading 15 minutes a day haven't done mine today reading audience it's cheap
- 14:57[SPEAKER_01]: introduced me to two billionaires this year using his program across me for six dollars.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_01]: And read the book and he builds this type of I read every morning that puts this into my subconscious.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_01]: I met her and I meet with him actually today he's mentoring me more.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: And I use mentoring as this how I look at just me.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_01]: People that are more successful are really kicking butt right now.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_01]: You want to shut up and listen and be mentored.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_01]: but take that information and for us as our podcast or whatever, and I do this all the time.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: The people that aren't as successful and need help and needs to be served, I can take those resources and give it to them.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_01]: That's why when I do the 101 people walk away a lot of the time, that's the best call I've been on.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_01]: because I share what I've learned when I didn't met her, I've become, they become right there in my mentee.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_01]: And I share it within and by the way, I do everything for free.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_01]: I do a free podcast workshop for free.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_01]: I do free business mentoring.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_01]: And people go, Mac or I get bills to pay.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: Go grade, you got bills to pay.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_01]: I get bills to pay.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Emily's living in this world for free.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_01]: Bill Gates has got bills to pay.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_01]: She dropped it and we all bills to pay.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_01]: So that, that,
- 16:14[SPEAKER_01]: I understand that, but give your stuff away for free because you're serving uplifting and bringing value to people.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_02]: That's such great advice, Steve.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_02]: You are such a ripple, such a positive ripple around the world.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_02]: What message or words of encouragement would you like to share with our listeners who aspire to make a positive difference in the world like you are?
- 16:41[SPEAKER_01]: Let's say, if I turn about 30 days of business days left, you're up 30%, is your business going to grow or are you going to grow personally and testing?
- 16:53[SPEAKER_01]: And the way to practice serving is super simple.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_01]: And this is a thank you for the ripples.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_01]: It means a lot to me so much that you said that.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_01]: And here's how we all can do this.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_01]: When you go to a restaurant, to a grocery store, and you're working with a waiter or a clerk, say their name, two to three times.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_01]: read their name town.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: Did it a couple days ago?
- 17:12[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'll tell you story of the restaurant.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_01]: So, here's the other thing.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_01]: When you say their name, if you get good service, tell their boss, tell their manager, tell whatever that label is, I'm not a big label.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of whoever you want to, and I'll tell you a story.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_01]: It was a restaurant.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_01]: It was Debbie.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_01]: It said, man, this is great.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_01]: Think, can you look at your manager?
- 17:33[SPEAKER_01]: like, everything okay, I don't answer that and I do it purposely because I want to make a bigger impact.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_01]: So, should we look at the manager?
- 17:40[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see, I'm making these like two people talking like, why you lose like what, you know, man, it's like, because it's natural.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_01]: Unfortunately, that's just natural and happens.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_01]: So, the manager walks over, he says, hey, I'm Tim, nice to meet ya and say Steve, my wife went down.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_01]: Um, what an incredible waitress.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_01]: Water was on time.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_01]: She talked to me.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_01]: wife about her kids and it's great conversation.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_01]: She's a rock star.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_01]: Big sigh.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_01]: But then I asked them really powerful next question.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_01]: How often do you hear that?
- 18:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of been in the restaurant five years.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe five times a year.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: The world needs to change and we can help.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: So when you walk in places with people with name tags, use their name.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_01]: Don't say ma'am, a gentleman.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's fine, but when you go in a place like that, because I'll tell you really quickly if we have a second.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_01]: When people ask me, what do you do when you're having a not a good day?
- 18:41[SPEAKER_01]: We all have those.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_01]: We even talked about it one time you changed, which is so blessed.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_01]: Go surf, go do something, call me your best friend, go help somebody, whatever that looks like.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_01]: So, one day I did was to a clock in Macan, lost a contract, two meetings then go through.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I'm going to the grocery store, I get a grocery store shopping, I don't know, usually
- 19:08[SPEAKER_01]: I'm staring behind small men and lady with a baby and I tell the clerk, they said, Tony, no, was they Kevin, to Kevin, we read the main tag that said, can you give, let me pay for her groceries, I like to start bucks then, and it was a call and something came through me and he goes, Greg, dude, because that in California is a server.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, what are you doing, dude, if I'll be 23, 24, I've never seen
- 19:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's okay, don't you know, just do it and she's like, ah, it's okay.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_01]: And I said, I just let me do this.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_01]: She goes, okay.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_01]: 23 by then matter the price.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_01]: So I paid for my groceries and I walked out, and she started to tear it up.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_01]: So now I'm getting concerned that she's upset.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm, I'm going to make the cabinet.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_01]: I've never said this before.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_01]: If she was, that's okay.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_01]: I can't control that because I did a good thing because it's just a calling.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_01]: But here's what happened.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_01]: She says, no, I'm so happy.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_01]: These are tears of joy.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: So what's going on?
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's because my husband lost his job last week.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_01]: I thought, how are we going to get that?
- 20:13[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you can't be your face.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_01]: How are we going to pay for these diapers?
- 20:17[SPEAKER_01]: And this, I think, was baby food.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_01]: I forget it's been three years.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't know how we're going to pay for it.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_01]: You just gave us another couple of weeks.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_01]: Him and the fine did you?
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, kind of a little bit of this little story.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the story of, we don't know what she was,
- 20:35[SPEAKER_01]: So that's the first lesson that I learned.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know the shoes.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_01]: What they're walking in.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_01]: But here's the second lesson.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_01]: Greg, what does she think she did when she went home and saw her husband?
- 20:45[SPEAKER_02]: She told on the story, and she's probably started crying and gave her probably the sense of, looking at all the good people in the world and the positive energy that came, we're gonna find something and get through this.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure what happened.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_01]: I would 99, not these out of, well, most things are 100%, 95% but the other thing is the mindset shift.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_01]: If Steve is going to do that for us, what do we need to do to serve?
- 21:16[SPEAKER_02]: You know, that's such a beautiful story and
- 21:20[SPEAKER_02]: I really think that we do need that more positivity in the world, Steve, and thank you for sharing that.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_02]: And there's another part of that story is you felt something internally that you had to do that.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_02]: So many times we don't listen to our intuition.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_02]: And you listened to your intuition.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_02]: And that's an important message there is we need to listen to our intuition.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_02]: If something doesn't feel right,
- 21:46[SPEAKER_02]: It's probably something going on and we should take a step back and look at it.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_02]: Is something feels right?
- 21:52[SPEAKER_02]: We should step into it.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_01]: That is absolutely brilliant, Greg.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_01]: I've told that story 500 times over the last two years.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_01]: You just nailed something.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_01]: Most people wouldn't do it because they're afraid they're going to look weird from the clerk.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_01]: She's going to get upset.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_01]: You know, things like that when
- 22:10[SPEAKER_01]: If she got, like I said, she got upset and it's over and done with or she, I thought I tried to do before people like absolutely not do not and I don't.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_01]: But she and and she accepting it.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_01]: So it takes both sides.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: That's brilliant.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody's ever mentioned that before and I'm going to borrow that because that's exactly what we don't serve.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to do.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to ask.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not are they going to take my money?
- 22:34[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, if you're helping them out, come
- 22:40[SPEAKER_02]: next.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, exactly.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_02]: Steve, thank you so much for reminding us that influence begins with service and that the smallest, most intentional introductions or actions can create massive ripples in business and in life.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_02]: Steve, if our listeners want to get in touch with you, what's the best way to do so?

- 23:26[SPEAKER_01]: I just so it's ship the book out yesterday.
