- 0:00Oh, everybody. Welcome to the one small change. I
- 0:04am so thrilled that you are sharing this journey of exploration
- 0:08and transformation with me. And I'm your host, Yvonne McCoy,
- 0:12and I bring almost thirty years of entrepreneurial experience and a
- 0:15passion for discovering growth through the power of seemingly
- 0:19small change. And you are gonna be so happy this week
- 0:23because joining us for this journey,
- 0:27we're gonna be talking with Nina Farib. And she's gonna share
- 0:30how a smaller unexpected decision sparked a remarkable
- 0:34transformation either in her personal or her professional
- 0:38or both. So, Nina Hi. You and I
- 0:42have already been yacking it up. Yes. So we're
- 0:46wound up and ready to go. Yep. Definitely. I am I am so
- 0:49happy that you took time out of your busy schedule to do this with me.
- 0:53Thank you so much. Of course. I you know, and
- 0:56I've actually followed you for a long time, never actually spoken to you personally.
- 1:00So this is a particular joy for me.
- 1:04So tell us a little bit about yourself, and what is the change that
- 1:08you wanna share, and what kind of impact did it have?
- 1:12So I'm I'm a filmmaker turned
- 1:16online digital LinkedIn coach. I focus on
- 1:20video and lives because, obviously, there's sort of that history that
- 1:24comes with me, from being a film producer.
- 1:28And, so to nowadays, I help small business
- 1:32owners mostly or actually exclusively,
- 1:35entrepreneur, service based entrepreneurs. Because as service based
- 1:39entrepreneurs, we are the face of the company. We are
- 1:43who shows up on our social media platforms,
- 1:47to sell our brilliance, our programs, our offerings.
- 1:51So that's sort of the the niche that I, have created for
- 1:54myself as as a digital content creator and,
- 1:59and, coach. Oh, sorry
- 2:03about that. I forgot to turn
- 2:06off because you know this is live because I'm, you know, I'm I'm
- 2:10screwing stuff up. Oh, you
- 2:13mean the timer? Yep. Yeah. Yeah. So,
- 2:17anyhow, not to be distracted from the good stuff that we're doing.
- 2:21Yes. And so what was it that you know,
- 2:25obviously, your background led you to do what you were doing, but there's gotta be
- 2:28a reason another reason that you do it so well, that something happened
- 2:32that that was a turning point? Or I mean, there you
- 2:36know, you don't get my age without, like, several turning points. So,
- 2:41I think their most recent turning point was or really big
- 2:45turning point or, well, you want small ones or big ones?
- 2:48Whichever one you wanna share. I think relative, isn't
- 2:52it? It's all relative. Of course, it is. And and big big is always yeah.
- 2:56In in in, globally speaking, everything is relevant,
- 3:01relative. So, I mean, you know, the the I think what
- 3:05really happens, and I think it's also an age thing, where at some point
- 3:09in my life, I just realized that you can either
- 3:13keep doing what you're doing because you've been doing it for so
- 3:17long and it feels comfortable and you know what it
- 3:20is. And, it might, you
- 3:23know, string you along until you retire. Although,
- 3:27as entrepreneurs, we never retire, really. We just, you know, clock
- 3:31out and die, I guess.
- 3:36But, or we reinvent ourselves. And I
- 3:40was at that point, where I was like, I'm too
- 3:44young. I'm, you know, too I I was old enough to start thinking about retirement,
- 3:47but too young to retire. So I'm like, okay. Do I
- 3:51hobble along and become the old geezer in the corner somewhere at some point,
- 3:54or do I reinvent myself and make make that change?
- 3:58Right? And so I decided in good Nina fashion to
- 4:02make the change. And I think the one small thing
- 4:06that led to all the massive change that came with it
- 4:10was my desire to be location independent.
- 4:13I've been a whole career glued
- 4:17to a desk somewhere in a office
- 4:21of a client, even with my own company
- 4:25because we were shooting all over the world, all over,
- 4:29you know, America, and I needed to be on set. I
- 4:33needed to be in the edit suite with the editors. I needed to be
- 4:37with the clients. So, it it was
- 4:41fantastic traveling the world, and I loved it. But then there comes a point where
- 4:44you don't wanna do that anymore. And I saw the Internet, and I saw the
- 4:48explosion of all things, that were now possible
- 4:52with you know, this was before we even did Zoom calls, but just that there
- 4:56was everything was now possible remote. And so the desire to
- 4:59be location independent was really strong, also with family in
- 5:03Europe, me in New York. So I'm like, okay. This is
- 5:07gonna be my lighting guide, my guiding light.
- 5:11I do need that drink really soon, Yvonne. We were talking about
- 5:15drinks earlier. And and it really was
- 5:18that small shift that and the desire that then
- 5:22really basically turned my company around, I mean,
- 5:26a full three sixty, because I just wanted to be location
- 5:30independent. And I am location independent now, and I run a completely
- 5:33different business, but I still I still work with film and video. Right? Or, I
- 5:37mean, film Mhmm. Said that but as a me as a as a storytelling
- 5:41tool. Yeah. Well, you know what's interesting about what you said and,
- 5:45you know, one of the things that when when I do my workshop that I
- 5:48bring out is, you know, I read a book about it was
- 5:52called the women's road
- 5:56to fulfillment or something like that. And it and it basically you know, you have
- 5:59childhood, and then she said motherhood. After motherhood,
- 6:03we most women, unless something happens to them physically
- 6:07or some traumatic thing happens, we all kinda go,
- 6:11is this all there is? Right. You know, I thought there would be more.
- 6:14I thought I would do more. Yep. Right? And so we
- 6:18all, I think, go through that. So what you went through is a very
- 6:22normal thing. And as you said, some people say, well, maybe I'll just stick
- 6:26it out. Right? And I had kind of
- 6:29not exactly a similar thing, but I had a situation where when
- 6:33COVID came, that was kind of my thing. Like, I was
- 6:37working with non you know, executive directors of nonprofits. Mhmm.
- 6:40And, you know, when they when COVID came, they shut
- 6:44down. I mean, they had no funding for their staff, so they had no funding
- 6:47for me. And I was like, okay.
- 6:51It was like watching the sinking of the Titanic. It was quite traumatic.
- 6:56And I was like, okay. Am I gonna build this
- 6:59again? Yeah. And if I do, what's
- 7:03gonna be different? Right. Right? And it was like, I wanna build a
- 7:06business that I really like doing what I like
- 7:10to do that I can do for whatever period of
- 7:14time I wanna do it. Yep. So, yeah, I absolutely relate to that. And
- 7:18I would say to people, it's never too early to look at
- 7:22that. Right? I think most of us use
- 7:25outside influences to make that happen where we don't
- 7:29say, okay. What is it that I want? And I think as women
- 7:33and and since you're talking about this, there's this whole movement out of Britain called
- 7:37the Queen Agers, and, that sort of women,
- 7:41it's also it's not just an age thing. It's generational thing. You
- 7:44know, women who are now 50 and up, sort
- 7:48of being at that point, as you said earlier, where kids are out of the
- 7:52house, a lot a lot of them lost their
- 7:55corporate jobs during the pandemic. Right? And and are,
- 7:59like, at a point where, like, we still are full of energy. We still have
- 8:02many years of being super productive very often, and I see that with a lot
- 8:06of my girlfriends. These women are the the main
- 8:10breadwinners and financial decision makers in the household.
- 8:14And it's like, where do I go with all this energy? What do I do
- 8:17with myself? I'm only 50. I'm 55, whatever. I still wanna
- 8:20have that really strong encore, yeah, before I'm a corpse.
- 8:24Right? So I think that there is this whole generation
- 8:28of of women who did the dutiful thing,
- 8:31taking care of the husbands and children and the the bosses and the clients and
- 8:35the team and all that. And now is at that time where it's like,
- 8:39yay. You know, we can we can make changes, and we can actually
- 8:43we're we're holding the purse strings, so why aren't we aren't we calling the
- 8:46shots. Right? And and I think the other thing is because
- 8:50I think I'm older than you are. Yep.
- 8:57Is our parents are living longer. Yeah. Do
- 9:01you know? So, you know, my parents live to be 94.
- 9:04And I think I think there's in our brain, there's, like, we we we think
- 9:08that there's gonna be a period of time when we won't have to take care
- 9:11of parents, we won't have to take care of kids, and we can really focus
- 9:14on ourselves. And that's getting pushed back further and
- 9:18further and further. So if you don't make the decision to make
- 9:22that space for yourself Mhmm. You're gonna be really
- 9:26old. Yeah. Very true. Very true. Happens. And, you
- 9:29know, I I I'm glad my parents lived that long, but I
- 9:33I coulda used a few extra years on my
- 9:37own. Do you know? Yeah. So yeah. So,
- 9:41if you were to talk to entrepreneurs today, what would be what would be some
- 9:45of the lessons and some of the things that you think that they could
- 9:49do? So there there are two parts of this. Okay. You can pick
- 9:53either part. So there there are the life lessons that
- 9:56you've seem to have a wonderful handle on, but there's
- 10:00also the video. So for those of us that maybe are in their
- 10:04fifties, sixties, or seventies and have not really done
- 10:07video were not brought up I mean, I remember when I took my first
- 10:11coaching course, it was by telephone. Wow.
- 10:14Yeah. Me too. Yep. Yep. Do you know? I had to buy myself a little
- 10:18one of what they call the executive toys to play
- 10:22with because I'm a visual person. So the phone did absolutely nothing
- 10:25for me. Oh, I'm a good doodler. Yeah. For that reason. Yeah. Yeah.
- 10:29Yeah. So let's talk about video.
- 10:32Yep. Showing on
- 10:36video at when you're not spring chicken anymore. Yes. That's
- 10:41right. Absolutely. Absolutely. Been there, done
- 10:45that, and I know you have as well. So, I mean, the I think
- 10:49the biggest the biggest thing to just keep
- 10:52reminding yourself of is, you know, this is not
- 10:56media in the sense of we're a skinny little model, you
- 11:00know, that is anorexic and as you know, lives on
- 11:04on champagne and cigarettes. We are real people. We
- 11:07are, you know, we're shooting these videos to connect
- 11:11with our clients and with our audience. They wanna hear what
- 11:15we have to say. They could not care less
- 11:19what we look like, whether we're skinny or not, whether we're beautiful
- 11:22or not, and beautiful is in the eye of the boulder anyway. And if we
- 11:26are, you know, whatever, have a big nose and have a small nose, it does
- 11:30not matter. What matters is that what we say and what comes out of our
- 11:33mouth is helpful to those people who we want to attract
- 11:37into our, into our ecosystem, our orbit, into our
- 11:41businesses. So it really is about having
- 11:44that clarity of message and and making sure that we
- 11:48give value to the people that we want to have listened to
- 11:52us. And then it doesn't really matter,
- 11:55what we look like. I mean, I always say show up professional, show up the
- 11:59way you would show up to a client meeting in
- 12:02person or on Zoom. And the rest is
- 12:06just you being you and, hopefully, attracting the right kind of
- 12:10people because you are being you. Because you don't want,
- 12:13like, a a bad date experience, right, where, the person shows up and they're,
- 12:17like, not who they were in the dating profile at all. You don't
- 12:21want that happening with your clients either because that's just icky. Right?
- 12:25People people buy from people. People want to
- 12:28preexperience you, and that's where video is
- 12:32fantastic because it not only shows people who you
- 12:35are, it also is sort of like a a self selection tool.
- 12:39Mhmm. If you don't like my nose, you don't like my voice, you
- 12:43don't like my mannerisms, you're never gonna sign up for a call with me.
- 12:46You know, you don't waste my time. You don't waste your time. It's perfect.
- 12:50So I I love and if you do like me, it sort
- 12:54of builds that trust. Because psychologically, when somebody sees you for
- 12:58the second or the third or the fourth time on video and then eventually on
- 13:02Zoom, we now have created, sort
- 13:05of a, like a, yeah, trust and and and
- 13:09familiarity where we're like, oh, we know Nina. And then when we get on a
- 13:13Zoom call with her and she looks and sounds the way she does on her
- 13:16videos, there's this immediate, like, wow. I like her. Oh, wow. This
- 13:20is I trust her too. Tell me the truth or whatever what it
- 13:24is. Right? Well, you know, the the experience that I had like that was
- 13:27I had one of my clients be my wingman on a workshop I was
- 13:31doing. Mhmm. And I had, you know,
- 13:35fiddled with this thing, and I had it timed out, and I, you know, I
- 13:38had the slides and, you know, the whole thing. And when we got off
- 13:42afterwards, she said, I don't know how to tell you this,
- 13:46but the person that presented that workshop is not the coach
- 13:50I love working with. Oh.
- 13:53And I was like, oh, that's interesting.
- 13:58Do you know? And and so now I you know, it's like,
- 14:02the way I am is the way that I am. Right? You gotta you
- 14:06gotta have to because you don't wanna have people have a bad experience. Right?
- 14:09Yeah. Well, it you know, it's like you go through the you know, you go
- 14:12through this thing and, you know, you're all polished. And then the next time they
- 14:16see you, you're not polished and you're in different way. It's like, well, who is
- 14:19this person? Yeah. Right? And so, you know, what I say to people
- 14:23is, you know, the best the best thing to
- 14:26do is be the way that you don't mind being every day. Yeah. If you
- 14:30don't wanna wear makeup every single day and you're gonna be on Zoom calls,
- 14:34then don't wear makeup. You know? If you don't mind wearing
- 14:37makeup, wear makeup. Do you know? If you like to wear
- 14:41jewelry, wear jewelry. I mean, be the way you like to be, and you can
- 14:44do it on a regular basis, and it's not like, do you
- 14:48know? Yeah. And and it's it's not even the way it it I
- 14:51mean, it's I always say, like, it's too hard to be someone else or to
- 14:54be someone you're not all the time. Right? It's just it takes too much
- 14:58energy up. So yes, sure. If I'm going on a on a call with
- 15:02you, I will bother with some eye makeup, which you can't see anyway because I'm
- 15:05wearing freaking glasses. But, you know, I I'll I'll make an effort
- 15:09to look a little nicer than I just would if I just wore a T
- 15:12shirt and and makeup. But I'm still
- 15:16I'm still within the framework of how I will show up for a professional meeting
- 15:20with a client. Right? Right. Right. And so I think the other
- 15:23thing that people do not realize
- 15:27is there are certain things that you may not think are
- 15:31important that draw people to you. So for instance, we were talking about
- 15:34dogs. Right. You know, that's one of the things I mean, one of the things
- 15:38that I talk about and I weave into my post and my, you know, things
- 15:41that I do is, you know, obviously, it's the business.
- 15:44Right? And then the other things that I talk about is I talk about
- 15:48my dog, who I just took down the shore for the first
- 15:51time. I talk about my weight because, you
- 15:55know, that was a real big barrier for me
- 15:59to speaking because at one point, I weighed four hundred and forty pounds.
- 16:02Mhmm. I've lost over a hundred and fifth I lost almost 200. I kept off
- 16:05a 50 of it. Yeah. And video,
- 16:09you know, being on Zoom, you only do, you know, from the neck up, so
- 16:13you can kinda hide a little bit. But but, you know, even the other
- 16:16day, I was doing a post that said, you need to be yourself. And I
- 16:20was looking for an image, and I'm like, this doesn't make any sense. I'm telling
- 16:23people to be themselves, and I'm not putting my picture up there. Yeah.
- 16:27And so, you know, did that. Right? I
- 16:31talk about my family, and I talk about humor. And so, you know,
- 16:35typically, you're gonna find me cracking some, you know,
- 16:39weird kinda comment because I have a weird sense of humor. And if you
- 16:43don't like that, then you're probably not my client. Exactly. Same same here.
- 16:47I mean, if you can't get my Swiss sense of humor, then you're
- 16:50probably gonna be lost with me. You know, if you are a big drama and
- 16:54want lots of hand holding, please don't sign up for me. I mean, I'm just
- 16:58I have no patience for it. So, yeah, I think I think you're just doing
- 17:02yourself and your future clients. And and I love what you
- 17:05just were saying, with the topics that you choose to share.
- 17:09I I was like, when my clients are sort of nervous about the, you know,
- 17:12TMI, am I sharing too much or whatever, I'm like, in the
- 17:16beginning, you know, putting your big toe in the water, just
- 17:19just choose three, four, five topics that you talk about. Like, same
- 17:23with me. Got a dog. I talk about, you know,
- 17:27traveling forth and back between Switzerland and New York. And I just have my couple
- 17:31of topics that I stick to, and every once in a while, something else comes
- 17:34in sideways. But it it gives people the sense that they
- 17:38know me without needing to know everything about me.
- 17:41But the one who cares. Right? So, and and and it
- 17:45also keeps you sort of from getting lost in the TMI minefield
- 17:49of of, information that doesn't need to be shared. So
- 17:53so if someone has not used video very
- 17:56much, what would you
- 18:00what so we were kinda talking about, you know, you know, that kind
- 18:04of stuff. So you can, you know, give us a couple of tips so our
- 18:07videos are better and maybe how to get our toe in the water.
- 18:11Yeah. I mean, look. If you're nervous about being on video,
- 18:15do what we're doing. We're we're in video right now. Right? We're we're just having
- 18:19a conversation. Every time you're on a call with a client on
- 18:23Zoom, that is a video. So have invite a friend
- 18:27or a coach. Give them a a series of questions to ask you,
- 18:30and you just they ask you the question, you answer the questions. That can be
- 18:34a video. Right? So, put yourself in a
- 18:37situation where you know you're gonna be feeling comfortable and you
- 18:41know you're gonna get there. And then, I mean, if you wanna do
- 18:45videos where, like, short little snippet videos that are perfect for,
- 18:49social media, LinkedIn in particular, which is our our sort of area
- 18:53of expertise, you know, then then you just practice. And you practice
- 18:57the first ten videos, never see the day of light. And then maybe by eleven,
- 19:00twelve, you start getting used to seeing yourself, getting used to hearing
- 19:04yourself. I remember when when I started creating my own
- 19:07videos, and believe me, it was not pretty, although I was a producer. But I,
- 19:11you know, I didn't have a crew. I didn't have a budget. It was just
- 19:14me and my phone. Back then, actually, I I
- 19:17had a a a whole camera set up, which was never really
- 19:21helpful other than driving me crazy.
- 19:24And, you know, once you once you are used to seeing yourself
- 19:28and hearing yourself, that moment comes where you'd start
- 19:32disassociating yourself. And I remember I was editing a
- 19:35video of me. I've been doing video maybe for two or three months,
- 19:39and I was still fairly uneasy about it. And I was laughing
- 19:43at myself cracking a joke in the video, and that was the moment that was,
- 19:46like, one of those small moments, right, where I was like, boom. I now have
- 19:50learned to see myself as Nina, the person who
- 19:54represents clockwise and no longer icky 50 year old
- 19:57Nina who could be a lot younger and should have done this earlier in her
- 20:00career. And and that was really a big shift for me where I was like,
- 20:04okay. I can now edit myself without squir squirming.
- 20:10Well, you know, it's really good to hear you as a professional say
- 20:13that. Yeah. I mean, it was it was nasty. The first couple of videos
- 20:17were terrible, terrible, terrible, and no one liked them.
- 20:21And it it took me a good while until I found my
- 20:25rhythm and figured out that, you know, equipment be damned. It's
- 20:28never about the equipment. You know, you just you're you and your phone and a
- 20:32window is all you need. Right? Well, this
- 20:35this is what I wanna I always say to people. Do it before you're
- 20:39ready because nobody will see it because nobody knows you.
- 20:42Right? Yeah. And then and then there's that. Right? We're not it's not
- 20:46like we we have this idea that a million people it's not CBS. Right?
- 20:50We are we are on LinkedIn by ourselves most very
- 20:54often. And, yes, my first couple of videos on LinkedIn, if you
- 20:57were to scroll all the way back are probably pretty awful. Well
- 21:01and here's the thing that's really funny. I had a
- 21:05client that absolutely would not do a video. And I said to her,
- 21:09just make something on Zoom, put it on LinkedIn, you know,
- 21:13just to see. Just so you know what the you know, we were just going
- 21:16through the steps of how to do it. Right? So we have our our
- 21:19client call, and she goes, this is awful. I don't wanna do this. I don't
- 21:22you know, I wanna take it down immediately. And I was like, you can do
- 21:25that. That's not a problem. And it stayed up for about five
- 21:29minutes. And within that five she said,
- 21:33oh my god. Five people looked at this, and I actually had somebody who
- 21:36wants to connect for a job. There you go. Yep. So,
- 21:40you know, you don't know. You don't know. And yeah.
- 21:44That that's a great example. I love that. Yeah. And it you know, and
- 21:48I said to her, see, if you had taken that down in one minute, you
- 21:51would have missed a great opportunity. So the people who are ready
- 21:55for you now Mhmm. Will, you know,
- 21:58be drawn to the video that you do now. Yeah. Okay.
- 22:02They may not be your ideal client five years from now or even, you know,
- 22:06six months from now, but they are attracted to the way you are
- 22:10now, and you will be a great service to them. And you
- 22:14denying them this opportunity is a terrible thing to do.
- 22:17Exactly. So, yes. So
- 22:21get started yesterday. Yep.
- 22:25Play around with it. Make your mistakes early on is what I
- 22:29what I tell people.
- 22:33Dress the way you feel comfortable and can do on a
- 22:36regular basis, which does not mean that you can't
- 22:40get better. You know? Like, for instance, I know when I first started
- 22:43doing videos, I was wear wearing certain colors
- 22:48that, you know, if I looked at like, if I wore one color, I felt
- 22:51like I really looked good. If I wore another color, I you know? And so
- 22:54that is like, oh, okay. I can Yeah. I can make that
- 22:58change. That's not a big deal. I've got tops in a lot of different colors.
- 23:01You know? And and, you know, just
- 23:05can people hear you? You know, that kind of stuff that, You
- 23:09know? You don't wanna put all the energy into it and people can't hear
- 23:12you, you know, and and get you Video is actually more important than
- 23:16video. Yeah.
- 23:20So so I think the other thing is
- 23:25that when we talk about connecting, there's so much
- 23:28that you get from a video. You get the visual. Mhmm. You get the
- 23:32audio. You get the body movement. I mean, there are lots of ways
- 23:36that people can can, you know, kinda learn to trust
- 23:40you versus when you write something. Oh, I mean,
- 23:43there's absolutely no comparison. Right? I mean, writing, we've
- 23:47we lose the inflection. We use the humor. We lose
- 23:51everything. Right? And that's why I think emojis are actually very helpful.
- 23:55But, when you're speaking and and and
- 23:59hearing, hearing, and seeing, it's just also believing,
- 24:02right, and and and building that trust, which is so important. Well,
- 24:06it's funny because, I tend I I I'd say that
- 24:10I'm a speaker, and I write the way I speak. And I
- 24:14had somebody helping me with my marketing, and she was like, I don't know how
- 24:17to edit your stuff because it is just it is just, like, all over the
- 24:20place. It is, like, bizarre. It is and I'm like, but that's
- 24:24who I am. Yeah. That's that's the way I talk.
- 24:28So tell us before we run out of time, tell us about the
- 24:31freebie that you've got for us, and then, you know, we'll go
- 24:35from there for for the amount of time that we have left. Of course. Yeah.
- 24:38So we have the, an infographic, which is called
- 24:42the five steps to a perfect LinkedIn post.
- 24:46And it's a really lovely, one pager, infographic,
- 24:50which sort of shows you the anatomy of a LinkedIn
- 24:54post, what kind of media, you know,
- 24:58different media ideas, and and what to look out for at each of these
- 25:01steps to make sure that you're posting such that people actually,
- 25:06engage with you with your posts on LinkedIn. I had a
- 25:09marvelous thing that happened, and this will show you how
- 25:13unsophisticated I am when it comes to social media.
- 25:17I got a thing. It said, you had 350
- 25:20people notice your your post this week Mhmm. Which
- 25:24is the highest I've ever had Okay. And have no idea what
- 25:28to do with it. I don't know what it I don't I don't
- 25:32have a follow-up on what to do with it. No. I mean, what you really
- 25:35wanna do is just make sure that when you post that you go and
- 25:39see and this is why I have written the five steps
- 25:43because you need to have a call to action so people will
- 25:47engage with you. So every post that you put out, I look at who's
- 25:50liked it and who's commented, and you want to connect with the
- 25:54people that you don't know yet who've been liking and who's
- 25:58been commenting because that is how you grow your
- 26:01people organically on LinkedIn. So make
- 26:05sure that, you know, the people you don't know, the people especially who are second
- 26:08connections to you, that you write them a little note in the
- 26:12direct messages saying thank you so much for commenting on my post about topic x
- 26:16y z so they know you're not a bot. And, you know, what what
- 26:20was the most interesting thing about it? Or, you know, but whatever. Just ask them
- 26:23a further question to continue the conversation. That
- 26:27that is a great piece of advice. If you get nothing add else out of
- 26:30this, but there was a lot of gems in here. That
- 26:34is something that you can start doing tomorrow. Yep. You don't have to
- 26:38buy any equipment. You don't have to do anything else. You just have to look
- 26:41at what you've already posted. So that's fantastic. Okay.
- 26:45So I'm gonna ask you I'm gonna ask you my magic question,
- 26:49which is when was the last time you did something new for the first time?
- 26:54So I just signed up with the Art Student League of New York for
- 26:58drawing classes, And it's
- 27:01been a real challenge because the class is really
- 27:05advanced. And I am
- 27:08painting my little fingers into the ground or drawing my little fingers
- 27:12in homework. So,
- 27:17I just started this month, and, I'm looking forward to continuing because it's
- 27:21it's a real challenge, and it's a lot of fun. And and I think that's
- 27:24what keeps us young and relevant. Yeah. Taking on new challenges
- 27:28and that kind of stuff. So just in terms of the commercial part of
- 27:31this, I hope
- 27:35everybody will subscribe and share this and be engaged with
- 27:39this on social media, especially share because
- 27:43Nina is a wealth of information. And the reason
- 27:46that I did this was I wanted people to have a chance
- 27:50to to meet people that they normally maybe didn't meet and to
- 27:54see that in order to grow, you don't have to have some huge thing
- 27:57happen. You can have huge growth from a small change.
- 28:01So I hope you'll continue to join me on the one small change. I
- 28:05hope that it will help you with transformation. And if you haven't
- 28:08listened to my first episode that explains why I'm doing this, and I also
- 28:12because I like to talk, I've also decided that I'm doing four episodes a year
- 28:16that I just get to talk, and it's gonna be and it's called the clarity
- 28:20it's called the clarity check-in. So the first one of those is,
- 28:25what last words what what what words of wisdom can you give
- 28:29us as we as we move on to the rest of our day?
- 28:34Not the sexiest thing in the world, but, everything that
- 28:37you do in your business, and I I would venture to guess in your life,
- 28:41is it's all about consistency.
- 28:45Oh. No. No. Quickly say it's
- 28:49not sexy, but it it is just posting on on on, you
- 28:53know, posting on LinkedIn, engaging with people,
- 28:57consistency, consistency, consistency just pays off in
- 29:00major dividends. It absolutely does. And the reason I
- 29:04went, was because I did a thing that said,
- 29:07consistency is, you know, it's simple, but it's not sexy.
- 29:11And the next day or two, so I saw somebody else's post that
- 29:15said, consistency is the sexiest thing ever.
- 29:21It's the same thing just said differently. Right? Right. Yeah. So It's it's
- 29:25the half half the glass half full versus the half glass
- 29:29the glass of, empty version, yeah, of the
- 29:32yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I got it. So so, I
- 29:36I think that that is wonderful, and I have to add this one little tidbit.
- 29:40Consistency for an entrepreneur, which is hard to do because
- 29:44we we tend to be squirrels, and you get a client and you stop doing
- 29:48the thing that got you the client. Consistency will keep you out
- 29:52of that feast and famine. Yep. Do you know? And that is
- 29:55so important. So on that, I I I will stop there before I go off
- 29:59into another thing. So, Nina, I wanna say thank you so much.
- 30:02And and my last words as always is remember that change is simple,
- 30:06but it isn't always easy. Yep. And that it requires resilience
- 30:10and courage and a willingness to step outside your comfort zone.
- 30:13And so I hope that you guys will continue to join me
- 30:17with my fabulous guests that I've been having. And until next
- 30:21time, stay curious.
