- 0:33Hamster with a blunt pen knife for doing quicker, quicker
- 0:37Welcome back to a Hamster with a blunt pen knife the Doctor Who
- 0:41commentary podcast. Glenn, do you have your sausage
- 0:45sandwich in hand? I've got sausage sandwich in
- 0:48hand. Red or brown sauce?
- 0:52Brown for me. Oh.
- 0:54Really. You're AHP guy.
- 0:55I'm AHP or daddy's, we're all. Daddy's Excuse me, that's
- 1:02enough. About your personal life.
- 1:04All right, Brief. You just can't stop me.
- 1:08Once I get going, you're an. Absolute terror.
- 1:11You're only one episode in as well.
- 1:13Where the hell will we be by episode 4?
- 1:16What are we here to talk about then?
- 1:18We're here for the 100th Doctor Who's story, The Stones of
- 1:24Blood. Now, I've got a big question to
- 1:29ask you before we press play into the episode, all right?
- 1:33Yeah. And that is the Kaliak.
- 1:37Yeah, Susan Ingle, the campus Doctor Who villain of all time.
- 1:43I think you could be right there, yeah.
- 1:46She's definitely out there. Yeah, she's definitely in the I
- 1:52was going to say in the top three, but then you'll make me
- 1:55name the others. That's right.
- 1:56Yeah, There we are. Yeah.
- 1:58Don't you think you're getting away with any more top threes?
- 2:00By the end of this, you'll be doing more.
- 2:03Yeah, she's definitely a campaign.
- 2:06I mean, I think I'm probably better judged to do the top 3
- 2:09campus Dr. Who villains, you know?
- 2:11Yeah, I'll give you that. I'll probably say the Rani, Lady
- 2:16Adraster and the Kaliak are probably the 30 Helena.
- 2:22She's pretty camp. Helena.
- 2:24Yeah, that's one I was thinking of.
- 2:26Helena, Yeah. I I love the.
- 2:31Bit where she stares up the screen.
- 2:33I think it's in episode. Three.
- 2:34And she just goes, oh greed, doesn't she?
- 2:40So ridiculous. Well, look.
- 2:42I think we're still in the horror part of the story.
- 2:46In episode. Two, aren't we before we sort of
- 2:48head into the spaceship? Is this your favorite part of
- 2:51the story? The first two episodes,
- 2:54definitely, yeah. Yeah.
- 2:56Because it because only because it's got that sort of horror
- 2:59element. Having said that, it's still a
- 3:03great story for that reason that it can split itself into sort of
- 3:09two different atmospheres. Once.
- 3:12Once you get on the spaceship it totally changes tone.
- 3:16Do you think that's sort of Doctor Who through and through
- 3:18though, Right? You've got both the horror and
- 3:20the atmosphere and the mystery, but then you've also got a bit
- 3:24of camp and science fiction and a bit of Lions entertainment as
- 3:28well. Yeah, 100%.
- 3:31I mean, I don't if if this story was 4 episodes of what it's been
- 3:36like in in, you know, the horror aspect of it, I don't know if it
- 3:40would have burnt itself out a little bit.
- 3:42Maybe I. Mean, I love the horror of
- 3:44Hinchcliffe, but I very often find come episode 4 of a
- 3:48Hinchcliffe story that I'm like, OK, we've been doing this for a
- 3:52while now, you know, so maybe it was a good instinct.
- 3:55Well, OK, shall we go in and watch this horrific spectacle
- 3:59and see what we find? Let's go in because my sausage
- 4:02sandwich getting cold. Will you count us in then?
- 4:09OK, 321 go. I would hate for your sausage
- 4:15sandwich to get limp, you know, Glenn, good grief.
- 4:17Nobody likes a flaccid sausage. No, no.
- 4:23I have heard that. Certainly no one's.
- 4:25Had a flaccid sausage around me. I'll have you know.
- 4:28All right. Well, I had heard that.
- 4:30Yes, good. Oh goodness, my reputation got
- 4:32about. Yeah, wonderful.
- 4:36How wonderful. Well, it's nice to know everyone
- 4:38thinks I'm a total whore. That's good to know.
- 4:42All right, here we go now, Ramona on a Cliff edge.
- 4:46Literally. Yeah.
- 4:48Is it the the It's not the only literal cliffhanger, is it?
- 4:54No, but there's not. I suppose there's not many, is
- 4:56there? Just, well, just listen, Dragon
- 4:58fire. Dragon fire.
- 5:01You know, that's the story I've probably not watched since
- 5:04broadcast. Really.
- 5:06Yeah, I trying to admit. Is that because you didn't like
- 5:11it? I didn't like it at the time.
- 5:13I really should watch it again, shouldn't I?
- 5:17If I'm honest, I don't get a lot of time anymore to watch Doctor
- 5:20Who. What are you doing with your
- 5:22time? Working.
- 5:25Working, yeah. You know all work and no play
- 5:30makes Glenn a dull boy, you know?
- 5:32It does, yes. Does your wife tell you that?
- 5:36Yeah. So look.
- 5:39If you're if you're ever working too much, you get that Varos
- 5:42helmet on your head all right and start.
- 5:44Storming the streets with. A pretend gun.
- 5:47Yeah, now you've told me. Have you ever been to the BFI?
- 5:54No. Oh my God.
- 5:55You know that's where they shot. Frontier in space.
- 5:57Every time I go, I pretend I'm a draconian going up and around
- 6:00those concrete bits. Yeah, the iconic concrete bits.
- 6:06Wow, this is so funny. Where it goes is that nice
- 6:09sterilised. Oh yeah, there they are in their
- 6:14matching the cultist costumes. That's.
- 6:16Right. Well.
- 6:17They want to know, to tell people they're coming, you know?
- 6:21Yeah. Glenn, does your Carly act ride
- 6:24a bicycle? Here she comes.
- 6:28Hang on, I'm coming, she goes. She's fucking batshit crazy and.
- 6:39She says to him, Glen, what are you doing lying down there?
- 6:42You catch a death of cold. Oh please.
- 6:46I love the one, sorry. Now come on.
- 6:50I was going to say, I love the way they all peg it and
- 6:53literally while they're still pegging it you can hear sound
- 6:56effects of cars starting up and driving off.
- 6:59Well, because that's a studio there.
- 7:01That's not that's not location, is it?
- 7:04I think all the all the night work was studio and the and the
- 7:11day was it on that documentary you watched.
- 7:14I think they said night works all studio and the day work was
- 7:17all outside. And they they, because there are
- 7:19scenes in episode 3 where they slap on the filter.
- 7:22So it's sort of day for night. So it looks like.
- 7:24Dusk which? Yeah, that.
- 7:26Does. Look like that, but it's not as
- 7:29egregious as bloody stuff like Death in Heaven and Dark Water,
- 7:33where everything's bloody blue all the time.
- 7:36You, you, you. It.
- 7:37It shows really badly these days, yeah.
- 7:41Well, I use filters for everything.
- 7:43I've realized I sound like an old git when I say that, but.
- 7:47Not so. Back in the day, Glenn, you
- 7:49know. Back in the day.
- 7:51We know how to. Make TV back in the day.
- 7:54Did yeah, yeah, that's that's something that's missing from
- 7:59society is good TV. Yeah, well, it's yeah, I mean,
- 8:03they. And when they get upon something
- 8:05good now, I find they cancel it quick and bring out another game
- 8:09show or another cooking show or another reality TV show.
- 8:13It's like, come on man, our brain cells are dying.
- 8:16Don't start me on reality TV shows.
- 8:19Oh. Why do do you have to watch any?
- 8:22I don't but. I'm assuming your wife doesn't
- 8:26watch that nonsense. You know she likes sophisticated
- 8:29TV shows. Yeah, she loves a good soap
- 8:32opera. Oh, oh really?
- 8:34Which ones? EastEnders mainly.
- 8:38OK. Is it still going?
- 8:39Is it still going? Sadly, yeah.
- 8:42I know. Excuse me if she's.
- 8:45Got to sit there and watch your bloody Star Wars and Doctor Who.
- 8:49Oh, she doesn't. Oh, OK, fair enough.
- 8:53I'm in my man cave to watch my programmes.
- 8:55Is all your stuff. Sort of.
- 8:56Limited to this room, yeah. Yeah, yeah, I get, I get.
- 9:03I finish work early on a Friday, so I get a Friday afternoon in
- 9:06the man cave and I get a Saturday evening.
- 9:08That's my quota. And I'm a bit too scared to ask
- 9:12you this question, but how do you utilise that time?
- 9:16Well, Saturday evenings is traditionally I'll have a Doctor
- 9:19Who story and a couple and a couple of horror films.
- 9:24Friday afternoons, because I like doing a lot of model
- 9:27making, I might be either doing that or I will watch Doctor Who.
- 9:31Model. What do you make?
- 9:33All kinds of things really I like like because I'm I'm right
- 9:39into military history and stuff. So I build a lot of models,
- 9:42thereby do a lot of fantasy stuff like Dragons and Star Wars
- 9:46ships and. Are they somewhere in that room
- 9:49with you right now? Why are they?
- 9:51They're over out of sight, in the corner of.
- 9:54Wow sorry, sorry to interrogate you but I just love learning
- 9:58these things about people, what their passions are.
- 10:00Yeah, I like, I like playing like little soldiers.
- 10:05Do you do war games? I bet.
- 10:08That's I do, yeah, yeah. Do you do a complete massacre on
- 10:12a big balls? I have done, yeah.
- 10:15Napoleonics is my thing from War One.
- 10:19Oh, you and Terence Dixon. Get on very well, he's a big
- 10:21Napoleon. Fan.
- 10:23Yeah, and Peter Cushing. I know.
- 10:26Oh yeah, of course. Now K9 has entered the action.
- 10:31Here he is. Discuss K9 please and what what
- 10:34are your your thoughts? I love K9.
- 10:37Oh, please. You said that.
- 10:39Yeah. I think he's brilliant.
- 10:42I mean, obviously he's got his limitations, so that's why he
- 10:46wasn't used a lot, but I don't think he's used enough.
- 10:51And he's he's obviously there for the children and the younger
- 10:55children, but he's just brilliant.
- 10:57And he's also like your little computer that you can ask a
- 11:00question and he'll tell the audience the answer.
- 11:04And in this story in particular, I like his back chatting.
- 11:08He's. So bitchy in this, isn't he?
- 11:12I love him in this. The bit where he goes, what is
- 11:15it, Meteoromfica? I still don't understand about
- 11:18hyperspace. The Doctor goes well, Who does?
- 11:20Canines. I do canine.
- 11:24I love that bit. Yeah.
- 11:27When he's snippy, he's wonderful, isn't he?
- 11:30Yeah. Oh, hang on, though.
- 11:32The big question is, is did you like David Brierley as canine as
- 11:36well? Not as much, if I'm honest, but
- 11:43it's still canine. I mean, what about canine?
- 11:48And Professor Rumford spin off Oh.
- 11:51Now you are talking. That would be yes, Although if.
- 11:56She went in the Tardis. It would be the Doctor canine
- 11:59and Amelia Rumford. I mean, I just just delightful.
- 12:03I think if she went in the TARDIS, Tom Baker would just
- 12:05give up. He'd eventually be so upstage.
- 12:11Can't canine join my old lady's eccentric detective agency, you
- 12:15know? He can.
- 12:17The two Amelia's and Olive Hawthorn can sort of COO over
- 12:21him and oil his joints and things and and knit him fabulous
- 12:24sort of crochet things for around his.
- 12:26Neck. Yeah, a little canine.
- 12:28Cover Yeah. I mean, I would cast Lucy McCoy
- 12:31in that series. She'd be wonderful.
- 12:34Yeah. And to write it as well.
- 12:36Yeah, that'd be awesome. Oh look, I used to love going
- 12:39out with a firm as Flask, you know?
- 12:42Yeah, especially a Tartan 1. Look at this.
- 12:45This is a really iconic image, The Doctor. *** Canine and
- 12:49Ramana looking just stunning. That's the photo that that sort
- 12:54of still there is a photo I had on my wall for many a year.
- 12:58Wasn't it a cover of Doctor Who magazine once?
- 13:00I think that picture. I think it was, yeah.
- 13:03There used to be a little shop in coaches.
- 13:05They're called Ice Comics, and they used to sell steels from
- 13:11various sci-fi shows and there was a steel with that and that
- 13:15was up on my wall. Pride of life.
- 13:17I think The Who shop has got lots of steels actually in like
- 13:21plastic wallets that you can frame and put in in pictures.
- 13:25As you can see behind me, I have a Dalek here and beat the meep.
- 13:28Yeah. Yeah, and.
- 13:30I'm not sure if you can see there that the Battlefield 1 and
- 13:33the Flux one and the Paul McGowan cover and stamps and oh
- 13:36dears, it's just so geeky in this room.
- 13:38That's. That's good thing.
- 13:42I think the doctor is already suspicious of Vivian Faye.
- 13:48Yeah, I think you're right. And poor Amelia, because she,
- 13:56you know, whether they're friends or in a relationship or
- 13:58whatever that relationship is, she's close to her.
- 14:01She's about to have her whole world turned upside down.
- 14:06Yeah, they're definitely close. Did you read that line?
- 14:10He goes. Defreese is a worried man, and
- 14:12worried men often sing worried songs.
- 14:15Come on, canine, he's just got that dialogue, hasn't he?
- 14:19He can just trip it off his tongue.
- 14:21Yeah, and that, that, that bit there where where Vivian Faye's
- 14:29following up behind. She's definitely a little bit
- 14:31creepy there. Well, she goes Glen, it'll be a
- 14:34new experience for you. No need to be afraid.
- 14:36What the hell is she talking about there?
- 14:41Certainly not sausage sandwiches, I don't think.
- 14:44What on earth is that outside the window coming past?
- 14:48That could be from a hammer, right?
- 14:51Throwing stone. Definitely it was the noise they
- 14:56made as well. I think was a bit scary as a
- 14:59kid, sort of a. Boom, boom.
- 15:04Yeah. Well, they sort of had this
- 15:07sort. It's almost like this is how I
- 15:10perceived it when I was younger because there's almost like a
- 15:13stomach rumbling noise to them as well as if they're really
- 15:17hungry for the blood. Yeah, Yeah.
- 15:20That's a good point. Oh my God, look what the hell
- 15:23has done all this damage. To that beautiful set.
- 15:27Look at that blood on the costume again.
- 15:29Do you see? Legs everywhere, yeah.
- 15:34Look, skull smashed to a pulp, he said.
- 15:38I love the way he covered Canine's eyes there.
- 15:44Yeah, although in a minute when canine attacks and Ramada comes
- 15:48in, is he giving him mouth to mouth or something?
- 15:50Trying to. Resuscitate for God's sake.
- 15:56Did you notice Canine grabbed the doctors grabbed Canine then
- 15:59when he was going off? Yeah.
- 16:01It's like, yeah, Matt Irving, don't make him go too far so
- 16:04he'll smash into the set, all right?
- 16:09There's a. There's a good shock here,
- 16:11though. He goes up to the window and
- 16:13suddenly the rock is just there. Yeah.
- 16:21Wait for it, wait for it. He shuts the door.
- 16:26And seems all clear, he says. Boom, there it is.
- 16:33Smashes through the windows. Wrong came on.
- 16:38I don't know. I mean, I've heard some people
- 16:40say they're a bit comical. I think they're great monsters.
- 16:42The Ogre. Yeah, I think they're.
- 16:47There's nothing else like them anywhere, is there?
- 16:51Where else is there? I can't think.
- 16:54Stone, stone, stone. Well, I mean in the new series
- 16:58they did the pyrovas, didn't they?
- 16:59Which were big stone creatures in Fires of Pompeii.
- 17:02But that was CGI. Yeah.
- 17:07Can't think of any other stone monsters.
- 17:11I mean, what about Balau and Death to the Daleks?
- 17:14They were sort of stone, weren't they?
- 17:16Of. Course they weren't.
- 17:17Yeah, yeah. But I mean, these, these are
- 17:21like monoliths and they, they're like really impractical, but
- 17:28unique, I'd say. This living room is how I
- 17:31imagine every living room was in the 70s.
- 17:34Alright, a little fire, lovely little trinkets, a mantelpiece.
- 17:39See. See then, yeah, I was just going
- 17:42to say see them two ornaments each end in the mantle piece my
- 17:46auntie had been. Yeah, Oh my.
- 17:49And the brass is hanging up. She had Toby jugs everywhere,
- 17:52you know? Oh, Toby jugs, yeah.
- 17:55Oh, my mum had pigs. She was obsessed with pigs.
- 17:58Do you remember those pigs that were piggy banks are all the
- 18:00different ones? Oh, the Nat NatWest.
- 18:02She had 100 and she had to tell people to stop buying them for
- 18:05her. Please, I've got enough.
- 18:08I'm. Starting to feel like I'm living
- 18:10in a bloody through. But it is cosy, isn't it?
- 18:14It's lovely and cosy. Is that another reason to love
- 18:19this though? Does this take you back to that
- 18:20time when you had a cosy living room?
- 18:23Yeah, it's, it's, it's all about being wrapped up in a great big
- 18:27Doctor Who blanket. It's lovely.
- 18:29It's even the little detail there would like the phone book
- 18:34and you know, the phone directory and the candlesticks
- 18:38and the end. There's the sausage.
- 18:40Sandwich. Oh boy.
- 18:41And looks like she's got no sauce in there at all, though I
- 18:44couldn't have that. In fact, it looks a bit dry.
- 18:48That does, doesn't. It I'm a Lincolnshire sort of
- 18:51man when it comes to sausages. What about you?
- 18:55Yeah, I think I'm going to agree.
- 18:58I love the herbs, but this is all lovely where they're just
- 19:02researching, right? So this should be probably quite
- 19:05boring. They're just talking about, you
- 19:07know, scientific research into the sisterhood and the cult and
- 19:10all of that and and history. But I think because it's one,
- 19:15it's three women, and that's really wonderful for Doctor Who.
- 19:18Yeah. 2 The dialogue is just so peppy.
- 19:22And it and again, it's cosy you, you feel like you're sitting
- 19:27there with them. Sometimes I wonder, you know, if
- 19:31that's why people like hamster a blunt pen knife, because they
- 19:34feel like they're sitting there with us.
- 19:36Yeah, I, I, I, I feel like that when I listen to a hamster.
- 19:42Well, you that and also oh, I wish you'd shut up that too.
- 19:47Probably no. I don't think I've ever thought
- 19:50that yet. Not yet.
- 19:52Yet, yeah. What the hell?
- 19:54She just pulled out a policeman's truncheon.
- 19:58What did she say? She went to a.
- 20:00Lecture in New York and took it in case she got mugged and got
- 20:05arrested for carrying an offensive weapon.
- 20:10Come along, Glen Tally. Ho here we.
- 20:13Go great, Scott. What happened?
- 20:18She's so crazy. Come on.
- 20:21Imagine her in the androids. Of Tara.
- 20:24Good grief, someone has sabotaged the coronation or in
- 20:31the Armageddon factor. Are you telling me, Doctor,
- 20:34those two planets are at nuclear war?
- 20:37It'd be wonderful. She she's really put off here by
- 20:42canine dinnards as well and she. Oh, does she walk?
- 20:46Off. Yeah, she.
- 20:47Walked off holding her. I mean, have you heard the
- 20:51stories? Like she absolutely fell in love
- 20:53with the prop because she had dogs?
- 20:55The actual And so she loved the and she fell in love with John
- 20:59Leeson as well. Oh yeah, because she's is it on
- 21:04the documentary. She gave him a camera.
- 21:06Like a former camera. Yeah, they're really expensive.
- 21:11You know, he's got a pension there.
- 21:13Yeah. Look at Canine's old circuit
- 21:16boards and things. I thought it was from the 50th
- 21:20century for God's sakes. This, yeah.
- 21:25I mean, it's just mad, right? We've gone from cultists and
- 21:29horror stones in Hammer Horror to we're going to do surgery on
- 21:35a robot dog within the space of 10 minutes.
- 21:38Yeah, only in Doctor Ho. Yeah, only.
- 21:42In Doctor Ho. But do you like that?
- 21:45Do you like the fact they can go anywhere, do anything?
- 21:48Yeah, I think that's the appeal. 11 week, you can be here, then
- 21:54you're there and it doesn't matter.
- 21:56It's you, just accept it well. It's basically a fairy tale next
- 21:59week. Isn't it in Tara?
- 22:02Yeah. And then the week after that,
- 22:04it's a bloody creature feature with the power of crow.
- 22:10Yeah, globulin. Globulin what?
- 22:16Globulin. Oh there, that's a great line.
- 22:22Tom says that really the creature exists on human blood.
- 22:29Look at. That more blood.
- 22:31Her fingernails are stained with blood.
- 22:36Yeah, this is great stuff. You'd be a bit miffed if you met
- 22:41that in in a dark lane somewhere, wouldn't you?
- 22:44Well, I mean, she's got a bowl full of blood and there's two
- 22:47bodies on the floor. It's very clear she's just
- 22:50bloodlet them, isn't it? And, and now she's feeding it to
- 22:54the stones. That's that's pretty strong for
- 22:57Doctor Who. I bet Mary Whitehouse was
- 23:03quivering in her boats watching this.
- 23:05Don't make me do the quote to me.
- 23:08I think it's amazing in many ways that people couldn't have
- 23:11extended their awareness not only to their cameras, but to
- 23:16the to the minds of the children, such as Glenn
- 23:18Fitzgerald watching, watching Julian Glover RIP his face off
- 23:23and reveal scar off for a whole week.
- 23:27I mean, she wasn't wrong. You said you were.
- 23:30Wrong. She wasn't wrong, but that's
- 23:33more pro in the Panthers, wouldn't it?
- 23:35But you never left it. It got its hooks into you.
- 23:43Secret passages, hidden rooms. I love all this stuff.
- 23:49It's very unusual to hear somebody say the witch hag.
- 23:53Yeah. Are you, are you more of a fan
- 23:58of on Earth Doctor Who stories or do you prefer getting out
- 24:03there into the universe? Good question.
- 24:09I've done 1000 of these now you know I've pretty good at coming
- 24:12up with. These, I think, yeah, I think I
- 24:16do prefer it on Earth a bit. Because.
- 24:19It's a home closer to that makes it more more real, more scary.
- 24:28Especially ones like this where where you've got, well, we don't
- 24:32all live in Gothic houses, but it's, it's a recognisable place,
- 24:38a home. Is it like the horror coming
- 24:42into your home? Then when it's it's.
- 24:45Yes, it's it's your. What do you call it?
- 24:48Your boundaries have been invaded, haven't they?
- 24:52Otherwise known as a Yeti sitting on a toilet in Tooting
- 24:55Beck in. Tooting Beck, Yeah.
- 25:00But. Then I do love I love a good
- 25:03space adventure as well. Oh, Glen, why would you say that
- 25:08to me? What's the top three space
- 25:11adventures of Doctor Who? 3 Space adventures #1
- 25:15Enlightenment. Oh, I mean gorgeous, yes.
- 25:19I love enlightenment. I.
- 25:21Know do you like Linda Baron's tits as well?
- 25:24Well, I mean, who doesn't? Fabulous, fabulous.
- 25:29I mean, I'm hoping, given the prop behind you, that Varos may
- 25:33feature in your favorite outer space stories.
- 25:37Barros yeah. I mean, I didn't buy it because
- 25:41Varos is one of my favourite. It was simply because it was one
- 25:46that was available. Yeah.
- 25:49Varos Anything with Cybermen in it.
- 25:53Anything at all. Any apart from new who?
- 25:57Oh, OK. I don't.
- 25:58I don't really go for Cybermen in new Who because they just
- 26:03remind me of RoboCop. You said new who then with a
- 26:06particular type of distaste. Well, only towards the Cybermen.
- 26:13Yes, I like Earth Shocks a good space story.
- 26:17Fabulous Barrel Reed. I don't know.
- 26:19I'm choosing all the ladies from these stories that you're
- 26:21saying. They are, yeah.
- 26:23She she was good. She was great in there.
- 26:25Tomb of the Side Men. Tomb of the Cybermen.
- 26:29I mean, I'm eating that. Kaftan in that one.
- 26:33Yeah, Revenge of the side men. I love revenge of the side men.
- 26:40I know not many. That's a Hinchcliffe story.
- 26:42Unfortunately, there's no women. In that one.
- 26:45Very no. Look at that model work of the
- 26:49stone circle at night. That was really good, yeah.
- 26:53Great. I wonder if that still exists?
- 26:58Have you ever been beamed into hyperspace, Glen?
- 27:02Not that I'm aware of, no. I have woken up in some strange
- 27:07places. I beg your pardon?
- 27:10Yeah. Are you sharing?
- 27:17Back in the day when you used to go raving and things you know,
- 27:20you used to grab a lift home with people you don't know, fall
- 27:24asleep and wake up. Where the hell am I?
- 27:26But it was never hyperspace. Not that I'm aware of.
- 27:29I woke up, probably went to a few raves called Hyperspace
- 27:32I'll. Bet you did.
- 27:34Yeah, I'll bet you did. I woke up in a basement flat in
- 27:37Brighton once, right. Yeah.
- 27:39And because it was a basement flat, so the window was just
- 27:43straight out onto a brick wall. So I thought, I thought, where
- 27:46the hell am I? The window doesn't even look
- 27:48outside. And there was no one in the room
- 27:50with me. I was in someone's bedroom and
- 27:52they weren't there. I thought, what the hell
- 27:54happened last night? It turns out, you know, I'd gone
- 27:56back and had a good time. He'd gone out and got a pastry
- 27:58and a coffee for me. Which.
- 27:59I thought very kind, you know, all good in the end.
- 28:03Back in the day when you do. Those sort of things, yeah.
- 28:06Yeah. Well, look, wonderful episode,
- 28:10but you and me, we've got a head into hyperspace now we.
- 28:14Have. To see what occurs on that
- 28:17particularly shoddy bit of model work.
- 28:19What do you think? Although it's not the greatest
- 28:24model work, is it but?
