- 2:24Speaker 2: tapped out of everything y'all got going on. I saw
- 2:29Speaker 2: a couple of stories and headlines and stuff, but for
- 2:32Speaker 2: the most part I have been just because you can't.
- 2:35Speaker 2: It's so much that comes out every single day now
- 2:39Speaker 2: facts every day it's a different headline. I'm doing something,
- 2:43Speaker 2: rolling back something, A lot of that we're gonna get
- 2:47Speaker 2: into as we kick off this week. All right, I
- 2:53Speaker 2: want to go on into the walk when I grow.
- 2:55Speaker 4: Up, Sure may not, It's all right.
- 3:00Speaker 2: So when I grew up, I want to be like
- 3:02Speaker 2: Ashley M. Davis and Leanna Williams, basically, who are two
- 3:06Speaker 2: best friends for twenty two years who recently graduated kum
- 3:11Speaker 2: Lati from American University. They're rank here in the nation's capital.
- 3:15Speaker 2: From their childhood days playing make believe lawyers to supporting
- 3:20Speaker 2: each other the challenges of law school, their band has
- 3:23Speaker 2: all up their bond.
- 3:24Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 3:24Speaker 2: It has always been rooted in trust and shared dreams.
- 3:28Speaker 2: So they actually are joining the elite group of five
- 3:32Speaker 2: percent of lawyers and two percent of black women in
- 3:34Speaker 2: the legal field.
- 3:35Speaker 3: So this does work.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Tell imagine being Imagine your childhood bestie, like right now
- 3:44Speaker 2: you're going to school. Imagine having like just do it
- 3:48Speaker 2: with somebody and y'all just go tandem all the way through.
- 3:51Speaker 2: I know you're working on a group project, but just
- 3:53Speaker 2: imagine like all these group.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Projects and stuff that they got to do together and.
- 4:00Speaker 4: Righting each other, motivated and encouraged the whole time. That's
- 4:05Speaker 4: a blessing and.
- 4:06Speaker 2: It's something that we desperately need right now in these
- 4:09Speaker 2: rough times. Encouragement, keeping one another, holding one another accountable,
- 4:15Speaker 2: making sure that everybody's okay, because people are not okay.
- 4:19Speaker 4: Right, h Well, let's see you all may be like,
- 4:24Speaker 4: who do I want to be like? I want to
- 4:26Speaker 4: be like rich Stephen Bartlett who He is a young
- 4:31Speaker 4: black twenty nine year old founder of web three development
- 4:35Speaker 4: platform third Web, which just recently secured a twenty four
- 4:39Speaker 4: million dollars in funding. He's the founder of a social
- 4:43Speaker 4: media company, Social Chain, which he launched from his bedroom
- 4:48Speaker 4: at just twenty two years old.
- 4:50Speaker 3: His bedroom work work.
- 4:54Speaker 4: This went public and twenty nineteen on Germany's Dusseldorf Stock
- 4:59Speaker 4: Exchange with a market capitalization of three hundred and fifty
- 5:04Speaker 4: million dollars, before leaving the business in twenty twenty.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Hmm. Definitely.
- 5:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:10Speaker 3: That goes to say something.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Yeah, that goes to say something for target audiences, because
- 5:14Speaker 2: you never know who's going to pick up your stuff
- 5:17Speaker 2: when you you said Germany, mm hmm, wow, you never
- 5:21Speaker 2: know who's listening. I even look at some of our
- 5:23Speaker 2: listener demographics from time to time and I'll see like
- 5:26Speaker 2: different countries and their listenership habits, and I'm just being like,
- 5:30Speaker 2: what do y'all want to know? What's going on with
- 5:31Speaker 2: two niggas.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Over here in the US, but okay.
- 5:34Speaker 4: Mm hmm. Their web is a software development platform that
- 5:39Speaker 4: allows you to create Web three apps easily, allowing NFT
- 5:44Speaker 4: artists to create without needing to code. The funding round,
- 5:48Speaker 4: led by han Ventors and Coinbase Ventors, has given the
- 5:51Speaker 4: company evaluation of two hundred and sixty million dollars, becoming
- 5:57Speaker 4: the youngest ever dragon on BB's sees Dragonstand. The entrepreneur's
- 6:03Speaker 4: podcast The Diary of a CEO is setting to make
- 6:07Speaker 4: one point two million dollars this year.
- 6:10Speaker 3: Wow, that's honest money.
- 6:14Speaker 4: Get that bad baby, listen.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Definitely people I want to be like when I grow up.
- 6:21Speaker 2: You got the sisters up here bringing it to the
- 6:23Speaker 2: legal field. Two percent of black women in the legal
- 6:26Speaker 2: field for real.
- 6:27Speaker 3: M just all this blackness. Just love it. But it's
- 6:35Speaker 3: awful anyways. All right, So if it were lyrics up next, you're.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Ready for I got a decent letter.
- 6:45Speaker 3: Yeah, it'll be a nice one, all right.
- 6:48Speaker 4: Up next.
- 6:50Speaker 5: So I don't ever talk about Trump on my timeline
- 6:52Speaker 5: because somebody that unhinged, uneducated, ignorant and moral, inhumane and
- 6:57Speaker 5: absolutely unqualified doesn't deserve to hold any space. However, if
- 7:02Speaker 5: you're a Trump supporter or you know Trump supporters, do us.
- 7:05Speaker 4: All a favor.
- 7:06Speaker 5: Stop trying to convince us that you are voting for
- 7:08Speaker 5: this man for the reasons that you say, Like, please
- 7:11Speaker 5: stop disrespecting our intelligence. Don't tell us you're voting for
- 7:15Speaker 5: him because he's a good businessman and he's filed for
- 7:17Speaker 5: bankruptcy more times than I can count. Don't tell us
- 7:20Speaker 5: that he would be good with the economy, even though
- 7:22Speaker 5: we're currently under his tax plans and all of us
- 7:25Speaker 5: are suffering in some way because of it. Don't tell
- 7:28Speaker 5: me that you're voting for him because he says Jesus,
- 7:30Speaker 5: unlike other candidates, and yet he doesn't embody any of
- 7:34Speaker 5: the fruits of the spirit that the Bible talks about.
- 7:36Speaker 5: Look At how he talks about immigrants and refugees, as
- 7:39Speaker 5: if Jesus himself wasn't a refugee. Look At how he
- 7:42Speaker 5: talks about the unsheltered and the homeless community, as if
- 7:45Speaker 5: Jesus has not called us to take care of the
- 7:47Speaker 5: poor and to give to the poor. Like, please, don't
- 7:51Speaker 5: tell me you're voting for him because you think he's
- 7:53Speaker 5: just a good man, even though he's a known rapist, like,
- 7:56Speaker 5: let's cut all the bs and let's be one hundred.
- 8:00Speaker 4: You're voting for him because he is.
- 8:02Speaker 5: Bold enough and brave enough to say what you really think,
- 8:05Speaker 5: because he is able to show his racism in a
- 8:09Speaker 5: way that you can't because you're secretly racist and entitled.
- 8:15Speaker 5: You think that you own this land, in this country,
- 8:17Speaker 5: and anybody else is below you.
- 8:20Speaker 4: And he gets to speak to that and.
- 8:22Speaker 5: It makes you feel okay, it makes you feel brave,
- 8:25Speaker 5: It makes.
- 8:26Speaker 4: You feel like you're not alone and your hatred, and
- 8:28Speaker 4: that's why.
- 8:29Speaker 5: You're voting for him, because you yourself are a racist
- 8:32Speaker 5: and a bigot and a fascist, and you identify with that,
- 8:36Speaker 5: and that's why you support Trump. If that's your reason
- 8:39Speaker 5: for support Trump, we have no debate because I get it.
- 8:43Speaker 4: He's in alignment with your values.
- 8:45Speaker 5: But please stop trying to convince us that it's anything
- 8:48Speaker 5: but the fact that this man is racist, and so
- 8:51Speaker 5: are you.
- 8:53Speaker 3: You she would.
- 8:59Speaker 4: What's going on you guys? At your girl, Miss Lyric
- 9:01Speaker 4: And I'm back with my segment with If It were Lyric,
- 9:04Speaker 4: where I respond to you guys' advice questions that you
- 9:08Speaker 4: send me at Lyric Provider at gmail dot com. And
- 9:11Speaker 4: I give my two cents on your situationships, relationships, friendships,
- 9:16Speaker 4: and all that in between. Now let's get into it.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Got one about friendships, I got one about friendships.
- 9:27Speaker 4: Hear it all right?
- 9:28Speaker 2: It says their lyric, I hope you're having an amazing day.
- 9:32Speaker 2: I'm a regular listener of the WRTR podcast, and I
- 9:35Speaker 2: absolutely love the dynamic you and Marcus Chaer. Yeah, it
- 9:40Speaker 2: reminds me so much of my friendship with my best friend.
- 9:42Speaker 3: We'll call her Tasha.
- 9:44Speaker 2: See wouldy'all start giving a Lisa.
- 9:48Speaker 4: I know where it is going.
- 9:50Speaker 2: We've been inseparable for years, sharing everything from our dreams
- 9:53Speaker 2: to our deepest, deepest secrets. However, I recently found myself
- 9:59Speaker 2: in a weird situation that I need your take on.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Tasha recently started dating a guy who happens to be
- 10:07Speaker 2: my ex from a few years back. I didn't think
- 10:10Speaker 2: much of it at first, but now I'm feeling a
- 10:12Speaker 2: mix of emotions that I didn't expect. On one hand,
- 10:15Speaker 2: I want her to be happy, but on the other hand,
- 10:18Speaker 2: I can't shake off the fact that this guy knows
- 10:20Speaker 2: all my dirt. He's the kind of guy that would
- 10:24Speaker 2: spill some tea if things went south and.
- 10:26Speaker 3: It makes me a little uneasy.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Tried to bring it up with Tasha, but she brushes
- 10:31Speaker 2: it off, insisting that he's changed and he's a great
- 10:34Speaker 2: guy now. But Lyric, I can't help but feel protective
- 10:37Speaker 2: of our friendship and worried about how this might affect
- 10:40Speaker 2: our bond if it were you and my shoes, how
- 10:43Speaker 2: would you handle the situation? Should I confront her about
- 10:46Speaker 2: my concerns or should I just let her figure it
- 10:48Speaker 2: out on her own. I really appreciate your insight and
- 10:51Speaker 2: can't wait to hear you guys' thoughts on this. Thanks
- 10:53Speaker 2: for being such a fantastic voice for our community. Warmest
- 10:56Speaker 2: regards A concerned friend.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Well, kudos to you for being mature enough to be like, Okay,
- 11:03Speaker 4: well my friend is dating my ex, because first of all,
- 11:07Speaker 4: couldn't be me. What's that there? Couldn't that be me?
- 11:12Speaker 3: I was probably somebody who.
- 11:15Speaker 4: I've been with and you're my friend. That's kind of strange,
- 11:19Speaker 4: but in any case, communication is key in every relationship,
- 11:25Speaker 4: regardless of its friendship situationship, marriage, dating, whatever. Have that
- 11:32Speaker 4: conversation with her, and even if she doesn't see things
- 11:35Speaker 4: that your way, at least you got it off your
- 11:38Speaker 4: chest and you said what you needed to say. She's
- 11:42Speaker 4: going to figure it out regardless if you say anything
- 11:46Speaker 4: to her or not. That's just life. But definitely have
- 11:50Speaker 4: a conversation with her. You'll feel better about it. You've
- 11:54Speaker 4: got it and off your chest, and then she might
- 11:56Speaker 4: even you know, have her eyes open to are some
- 12:00Speaker 4: of the things that you have experienced. If he is
- 12:03Speaker 4: still that way, I would definitely have a conversation with her.
- 12:09Speaker 4: Don't keep things in, guys, because when you do, they
- 12:13Speaker 4: tend to implode on you, and not in the best way.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Let me ask you this lyric. Do you think like
- 12:19Speaker 2: for people? Oh, look like that dating X thing? I
- 12:23Speaker 2: know that's against the girl code?
- 12:25Speaker 3: Now, I mean, is that a thing when you side
- 12:28Speaker 3: out of frind? Because if I.
- 12:33Speaker 4: So, it depends now if it was like something from
- 12:37Speaker 4: like elementary school, middle school?
- 12:40Speaker 2: Come on, now, let's let's I'm all about like, you know,
- 12:45Speaker 2: adult relationships.
- 12:47Speaker 4: Adult relationships. Yeah, I'm sorry, I am because nine times
- 12:51Speaker 4: out of ten, you've you've you've been with me throughout
- 12:56Speaker 4: that relationship. I've been, you know, talking to you about it.
- 13:01Speaker 4: We've had talks about it, and then like years later
- 13:04Speaker 4: down the line you date them.
- 13:06Speaker 3: That's weird to me.
- 13:07Speaker 4: M just is some people may have a different opinion.
- 13:13Speaker 4: What do you think?
- 13:14Speaker 2: Oh no, you that is a deal breaker and friendships
- 13:18Speaker 2: for me. You cannot date any of my exes. I mean,
- 13:22Speaker 2: you know, I've had friends that if they have dated,
- 13:25Speaker 2: smashed whatever, anybody that I was dealing with, they have
- 13:28Speaker 2: thankfully not let it come to my attention, and I.
- 13:31Speaker 3: Am thankful for it.
- 13:33Speaker 2: But otherwise it's just something about you know, it's that
- 13:38Speaker 2: code that don't cross that line kind of thing out
- 13:41Speaker 2: of respect for the friendship. There's all this you know,
- 13:44Speaker 2: dicking ass in the world, and you gotta be interested
- 13:50Speaker 2: in the same thing that I see that kind of shit,
- 13:53Speaker 2: because then that makes me go back and I start
- 13:55Speaker 2: looking at our past interactions, right, wondering who you are,
- 14:01Speaker 2: like deep down and not really saying who you watch
- 14:04Speaker 2: my faith? Like that brings up so many other different issues,
- 14:08Speaker 2: right because.
- 14:09Speaker 4: Then it's like, oh, what did you did you want
- 14:12Speaker 4: him while I was in the relationship him and all
- 14:15Speaker 4: of this other wild stuff like't nobody got time for that, right, right?
- 14:20Speaker 2: So that I don't know, I hate that you're going
- 14:23Speaker 2: through that frame because that sounds like hell, and I
- 14:26Speaker 2: thankfully don't have people in my life right now that
- 14:30Speaker 2: you know, I feel like that would happen with So
- 14:35Speaker 2: good luck to you as you navigate, because God knows
- 14:37Speaker 2: the lines have been blurred on friendships already. Yes, what's
- 14:41Speaker 2: going on in the world?
- 14:44Speaker 3: Bullshit?
- 14:47Speaker 4: All right? So my next one wants to remain anonymous again. Guys,
- 14:55Speaker 4: this one is very touching, and I put a try
- 15:00Speaker 4: I'm an alert on here because yeah, and it reads
- 15:05Speaker 4: dear lyric Please help. Me and my boyfriend have been
- 15:09Speaker 4: together for three years. He was playing a video game
- 15:13Speaker 4: and has been playing it a lot lately. I don't
- 15:16Speaker 4: know exactly what it is, but I've asked before and
- 15:20Speaker 4: he's never wanted to talk to me about it. It's
- 15:22Speaker 4: some sort of shooting game he's been playing a lot.
- 15:28Speaker 4: He's been playing it for the past month. I asked
- 15:30Speaker 4: him if he could turn it off so we could
- 15:32Speaker 4: spend some time together and watch a holiday movie this week,
- 15:37Speaker 4: since it has been Thanksgiving. He kept saying later. I
- 15:41Speaker 4: had enough waiting around for him, so I asked him
- 15:43Speaker 4: to turn it off and he said later again. I
- 15:46Speaker 4: stood in front of it and I told him to
- 15:47Speaker 4: turn it off, so we can watch a movie. And
- 15:49Speaker 4: he started yelling at me to move and I said no,
- 15:52Speaker 4: and he got up and he punched me, which he
- 15:56Speaker 4: never did before or anything like that. By the way,
- 16:00Speaker 4: he is six foot and two hundred pounds and I'm
- 16:03Speaker 4: only five to two and one hundred and five pounds.
- 16:06Speaker 4: He tried to say he was sorry, but I went
- 16:09Speaker 4: to the bathroom and locked myself away from him. I
- 16:12Speaker 4: just text my friend to come pick me up, and
- 16:14Speaker 4: I told him I was gonna stay elsewhere. He said
- 16:16Speaker 4: he understood. He's been texting me and saying sorry, but
- 16:21Speaker 4: I feel like he went too far. Should I still
- 16:24Speaker 4: stay with him and try to work it out? What
- 16:26Speaker 4: do you think I should do? Girl? Fuck that nigga
- 16:31Speaker 4: if it were me underneath the jail. What do we
- 16:34Speaker 4: talk about here? Wow, this is not no situation where
- 16:40Speaker 4: you just let it go.
- 16:42Speaker 3: That's heart work.
- 16:43Speaker 4: First of all, you did the correct thing. You got
- 16:45Speaker 4: away from this situation before it could escalate. Very good
- 16:48Speaker 4: job for you. You got away out of the house and
- 16:52Speaker 4: got a friend to pick you up. That was very wise.
- 16:58Speaker 4: But the next thing you need to do is leave him. Yeah,
- 17:02Speaker 4: because he's gonna hit you again. I don't care if
- 17:09Speaker 4: I don't care, if that he's never done it before,
- 17:12Speaker 4: he did it. This is going to start a pattern. Mhm.
- 17:18Speaker 4: And he values that materialistic game more than him not
- 17:25Speaker 4: putting his hands on you. There's a problem. He might
- 17:28Speaker 4: have a gaming addiction. That is a real thing for
- 17:33Speaker 4: him to put his hands on you. Hm.
- 17:37Speaker 2: I jumped right over the gaming addiction and went landed
- 17:39Speaker 2: straight at uh. He hit her?
- 17:41Speaker 4: What? Yeah, yeah, no, that's I am so sorry that
- 17:46Speaker 4: that happened to you. I don't know if you want
- 17:51Speaker 4: to get the police involved. If it were me, I
- 17:53Speaker 4: would because you hitting on I'm not nobody sponging back.
- 17:57Speaker 4: Neither are you. And take the necessary steps to make
- 18:02Speaker 4: sure that you are safe in this situation, because, like
- 18:07Speaker 4: I said, if he did it once, he will do
- 18:08Speaker 4: it again, and those i'm sorries will keep piling up
- 18:12Speaker 4: and some of those bruises and unfortunately, some women and
- 18:17Speaker 4: I can't even say some women because some men get
- 18:19Speaker 4: abused to, but some people don't get to walk away
- 18:23Speaker 4: from the situation like you were fortunate enough to do. Wow,
- 18:27Speaker 4: So make this change. Now, move on with your life,
- 18:31Speaker 4: and you'll find somebody who respects you and won't put
- 18:35Speaker 4: their hands on you and actually spend time with you,
- 18:37Speaker 4: because it sounds like he's very immature. He doesn't know
- 18:41Speaker 4: how to use his words and thinks that getting solve something. No,
- 18:48Speaker 4: it's not okay. It's never okay, and I hope you
- 18:52Speaker 4: hear from this. Also, if you need to talk to
- 18:58Speaker 4: somebody about this, you can always dial the National Domestic
- 19:02Speaker 4: Violence Hotline, which I always say it's eight hundred seven
- 19:07Speaker 4: nine nine seven two three three, and you can also
- 19:10Speaker 4: send a text at eight eight seven eight eight and
- 19:15Speaker 4: they are available twenty four hours of the day. You guys,
- 19:20Speaker 4: I understand that you all love to write in and
- 19:24Speaker 4: have these questions, but please, if you're ever in an
- 19:27Speaker 4: emergency situation like this, please make sure that before you
- 19:31Speaker 4: write to me, you go and get that help first
- 19:35Speaker 4: and then tell me about what happened, because this is
- 19:38Speaker 4: a dangerous situation and I do not want to be
- 19:42Speaker 4: reading a letter and then seeing a headline on the
- 19:45Speaker 4: news channel and that's gonna give me so much trauma
- 19:50Speaker 4: and anxiety. You guys, please make sure that you get
- 19:53Speaker 4: somewhere safely and then send these letters in. But I
- 19:57Speaker 4: do appreciate you all same time next week again, if
- 20:01Speaker 4: you guys, want to send me your advice question, send
- 20:03Speaker 4: them to Lary Bravado at gmail dot com.
- 20:06Speaker 2: So next week, oh jokie, I guess we are going
- 20:10Speaker 2: to control the timeline. Find out what's been happening since
- 20:14Speaker 2: I turned the TV off.
- 20:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:18Speaker 6: Trump begins selling seventy dollars Bibles. Yeah, seventy dollars with
- 20:21Speaker 6: this name engraved on the cover, not distant graved on
- 20:23Speaker 6: the cover.
- 20:24Speaker 4: Trump's name is positioned.
- 20:25Speaker 6: Above Holy Bible and the word God on the cover.
- 20:28Speaker 6: It's a lot of folks that justify they vote for
- 20:30Speaker 6: this man in the name of Christ, and now he's
- 20:32Speaker 6: commodifying christiating m so on brand. Like Zach Lambert said
- 20:36Speaker 6: on Twitter, Wow, not sure I've ever seen Here's see
- 20:39Speaker 6: blasted me in adultrey all mashed together like this now
- 20:42Speaker 6: before imagine if Barack Obama or Kamala Ris is selling
- 20:45Speaker 6: sneakers and coins and trading cards and bibles, how.
- 20:49Speaker 4: Maybe we won't hear last of it.
- 20:50Speaker 6: Has any president ever profited more from being president than
- 20:53Speaker 6: Donald Trump? I don't think some of them. In the
- 20:55Speaker 6: Book of Matthew, chapter twenty one, verses twelve or thirteen,
- 20:58Speaker 6: remember when Jesus flipped over the those stables because folks
- 21:01Speaker 6: are trying to make money in the church and now
- 21:02Speaker 6: this man is selling bibles. Crazy how they justify a
- 21:06Speaker 6: lot of capitalist ideology in the name of Jesus. But
- 21:09Speaker 6: that man would have been the socialist the other day.
- 21:10Speaker 6: You wouldn't like him if he was here speaking of Jesus.
- 21:12Speaker 6: I believe he was an Afro Palestinian that was just
- 21:15Speaker 6: trying to make it it survive, and them folks gott
- 21:16Speaker 6: to lynch.
- 21:17Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying.
- 21:17Speaker 6: I think Jesus might be the first public lynching that
- 21:19Speaker 6: we ever seen. Shout to James, Come, theology and education
- 21:22Speaker 6: is elevation.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Let's get into this timeline because listen, the only thing
- 21:27Speaker 2: that I've really looked at and that's really popped out
- 21:31Speaker 2: at me is that bullshit with Aubrey hmmm.
- 21:35Speaker 3: And I don't know you.
- 21:39Speaker 4: Start, well, let's start with Krishan rock m h. Now,
- 21:49Speaker 4: if you guys have been following this, if you care
- 21:51Speaker 4: enough to do sounately, she has an ex boyfriend who
- 21:57Speaker 4: believes that that young baby Kashantee is his son. So
- 22:05Speaker 4: recently she had to call the people's on him stucking her,
- 22:12Speaker 4: following her around, demanding to see his alleged son, even
- 22:18Speaker 4: though that she denies the claims.
- 22:24Speaker 2: This.
- 22:25Speaker 3: I don't know what is up?
- 22:27Speaker 2: Okay, I'm just there's so much to unpack in that
- 22:32Speaker 2: every time I hear the name, immediately think, oh god,
- 22:38Speaker 2: what now, instead of you know, like, it's never good news.
- 22:42Speaker 2: You never hear like I'll look at the pictures. I'll
- 22:45Speaker 2: be like, okay, baby, and like, but everything else is
- 22:48Speaker 2: a mess, and it is. It's like guilty. I feel
- 22:53Speaker 2: guilty because I keep up with it, you know, kind disorder.
- 22:57Speaker 3: But then I feel I don't.
- 23:00Speaker 4: I guess what was.
- 23:03Speaker 2: It over here?
- 23:05Speaker 4: And oh security, I had to escort his ass Nott
- 23:11Speaker 4: the mom Are you serious? Yep, this is wild.
- 23:17Speaker 3: You know.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Wait, you said you're talking about Rondel Mills. Oh you know,
- 23:21Speaker 2: it's a whole lot of white people over there. Oh
- 23:23Speaker 2: they said, not that niggery over here. I'll pick the
- 23:30Speaker 2: wrong act out little speaking of acting out, did you uh.
- 23:37Speaker 3: Did you hear about Lizzo?
- 23:40Speaker 4: Yeah? What happened to her?
- 23:42Speaker 3: All right? So she went live? Okay? Headline reads the
- 23:45Speaker 3: Shade Room. Of course.
- 23:46Speaker 2: The headline reads, Lizzo addresses comments about her weight amids
- 23:50Speaker 2: the accusations of her heavy breathing on Mafia than too
- 23:55Speaker 2: mm hmm. So okay, let me prefaces by saying, with Lizzo,
- 24:03Speaker 2: I am a fan, have always been a fan, and
- 24:07Speaker 2: will continue to be a fan of Lizzo. I'm so
- 24:09Speaker 2: proud of you know, like the music that she represents.
- 24:14Speaker 2: I'm proud of the person. Like she's taking her struggles,
- 24:17Speaker 2: She's turned them around. She like her music is always upbeating, uplifting.
- 24:22Speaker 2: It's still like that, just happy shit, you know what
- 24:24Speaker 2: I'm saying. Yeah, But one thing I will say, she
- 24:30Speaker 2: has got to leave the rest of y'all along, because
- 24:32Speaker 2: every time she get online and y'all got something to say,
- 24:36Speaker 2: she reads it and it's like, I get that it's triggering,
- 24:42Speaker 2: but she she's got to learn that that that thing
- 24:47Speaker 2: that just stops from interacting with every kind of comment.
- 24:50Speaker 4: And I mean, you.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Know, I don't have it for either, because I'll read
- 24:54Speaker 2: something online every now and again and be like, you know,
- 24:57Speaker 2: I'll jump in.
- 24:58Speaker 3: But one of the story says.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Recently, Lizzo addressed comments regarding her waiting accusations about her
- 25:04Speaker 2: heavy breathing during her appearance on Ky Sinnett's on Caycinet's
- 25:08Speaker 2: Mafia than Tu live stream. The event featured Lizzo alongside Scissa,
- 25:15Speaker 2: and while they were entertaining fans, some viewers claimed that
- 25:18Speaker 2: Lizzo was breathing loudly. In response, she went on, of course,
- 25:23Speaker 2: Instagram live. During her live stream, she humorously pointed out
- 25:28Speaker 2: that it was in fact Cay Sinette who was breathing heavily.
- 25:31Speaker 3: Not her.
- 25:32Speaker 2: She even demonstrated her own breathing to prove her point,
- 25:36Speaker 2: showing her that her shoulders did not move significantly, thereby
- 25:41Speaker 2: debunking the claims that were directed at her. I'm saying,
- 25:45Speaker 2: in my humble opinion, who cares?
- 25:49Speaker 3: Right there?
- 25:50Speaker 2: Y'all clowned Lizzo forever, talking about she's a big girl,
- 25:54Speaker 2: and she's so fat. She that fat, fat, fat, fat
- 25:58Speaker 2: fat so much that she closed down her social media
- 26:01Speaker 2: is for a time. Now she's gotten back on. She's skinny. Now,
- 26:05Speaker 2: she's breathing heavy when she performs, Like when is it
- 26:09Speaker 2: okay to.
- 26:10Speaker 3: Just be.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Oh, just be happy every time? And then, like I said,
- 26:16Speaker 2: I hate it for her because she jumps on the
- 26:19Speaker 2: internet anytime that something triggers her and she cusses y'all
- 26:22Speaker 2: out for it, rightfully so but it just it gives
- 26:27Speaker 2: her this kind of fights against the brand that she
- 26:31Speaker 2: tries to represent that, you know, peaceful life, you know,
- 26:35Speaker 2: happy party, party music, that kind of shit, And like
- 26:39Speaker 2: when she going back and forth with y'all just kind
- 26:42Speaker 2: of tears that down. And I hate the y'all continues
- 26:45Speaker 2: to let that happen. I hate that she continues to
- 26:47Speaker 2: let it happen, but I hate the child continue to
- 26:50Speaker 2: do it.
- 26:51Speaker 4: M mm hmmm. Speaking of fat shaming, online, comedian Drewski
- 26:59Speaker 4: is underfire recently for fat shaming a child that him
- 27:07Speaker 4: and Kay Sanat had in their Thanksgiving streams.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Is popping up entirely too often now that I don't
- 27:17Speaker 2: even watch this shit.
- 27:18Speaker 3: Like I'm sorry, go ahead, Well he's not the one
- 27:22Speaker 3: that did it. It's Drew Ski.
- 27:23Speaker 2: So during the stream, by way of him, all of
- 27:26Speaker 2: these stories keep trendy because he's axtrem Yeah.
- 27:32Speaker 4: During the stream, Drewski called a child a little fat
- 27:35Speaker 4: nigger multiple times, although at some point he did apologize,
- 27:41Speaker 4: and the child's mother said that she felt helpless in
- 27:44Speaker 4: that moment. She also said that when she tried to
- 27:47Speaker 4: get her child, security blocked her from getting her child
- 27:51Speaker 4: as well, and she is now trying to get a
- 27:55Speaker 4: lawsuit going.
- 27:57Speaker 3: Y'all, kids are off limits. That's the rules. Kids are
- 28:01Speaker 3: off limits. I mean with the jokes and everything.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Fine, Okay, make them to like your best sie or
- 28:07Speaker 2: send it in the group text.
- 28:08Speaker 3: But the public does not need to hear anything about kids.
- 28:12Speaker 3: They don't.
- 28:13Speaker 4: Yeah. See, I'm torn between this too though, because I
- 28:18Speaker 4: agree with that, but I also would never, as a mom,
- 28:21Speaker 4: put my child in that type of environment anyway.
- 28:24Speaker 3: Well that's because you're a good mom.
- 28:26Speaker 2: But for those people, those people that don't make as
- 28:31Speaker 2: a great decisions and their kids wind up in these situations,
- 28:36Speaker 2: then why not just you know, have the why not
- 28:40Speaker 2: just have the like, just monitor it a little bit better,
- 28:43Speaker 2: like or if you're the nigga that's hosting the shit,
- 28:48Speaker 2: how about you just make it to like certain things
- 28:51Speaker 2: are off limits.
- 28:52Speaker 3: I'm ald practice people all the time.
- 28:54Speaker 2: When we would have in studio guests on the radio show,
- 28:57Speaker 2: it would be like, Okay, this is what we're gonna do, this.
- 29:00Speaker 3: Is what we're not gonna do.
- 29:01Speaker 2: And I've had to you know, I've had to ask
- 29:03Speaker 2: people to leave so or whatever. Sure, Yeah, speaking of
- 29:09Speaker 2: kids being off limits, Drake, he accuses, um G of
- 29:14Speaker 2: defamation and second legal filing says that the music group
- 29:19Speaker 2: could have stopped release Kendrick Lamar's song.
- 29:22Speaker 3: Falsely accusing him of being a sex offender. According to
- 29:26Speaker 3: the Shade.
- 29:27Speaker 5: Room, m M.
- 29:29Speaker 2: So for those of y'all, I don't know if we've
- 29:33Speaker 2: talked about it on here, but just giving backs and
- 29:36Speaker 2: everything journalist Lauren Larossa. She says that the sources close
- 29:41Speaker 2: to Drake to the Drake camp say that Drake decided
- 29:44Speaker 2: to go forward with the lawsuit, alleging that UMG, that's
- 29:47Speaker 2: United Music Group, they used money that Drake made the
- 29:51Speaker 2: label to inflate the popularity of Kendrick Lamar's summer release
- 29:55Speaker 2: if not like us in a record to you like
- 29:59Speaker 2: bury him amid the renegotiation of his deal. H So
- 30:05Speaker 2: Drake now has filed a second allegedly recently filed a
- 30:10Speaker 2: second legal clannis UMG, alleging defamation related to the song.
- 30:17Speaker 2: In this lawsuit, he says that they they prevented the
- 30:22Speaker 2: release of the track, which he sorry they intervened to
- 30:27Speaker 2: prevent the release of the track, which argues falsely claim
- 30:30Speaker 2: that he's you know in the song.
- 30:33Speaker 3: They're calling him a sex offender.
- 30:35Speaker 2: So this accusation has raised significant concerns for Drake as
- 30:40Speaker 2: it impacts his reputation and public image. So my personal opinion,
- 30:47Speaker 2: as I just look at what the song, the track,
- 30:51Speaker 2: and the backlash, backlash came after. Like, okay, so you
- 30:58Speaker 2: remember back when the song first released in the summer, Yeah,
- 31:02Speaker 2: he was talking about BBL.
- 31:04Speaker 3: Drizsey, you not like us, YadA YadA YadA.
- 31:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:06Speaker 2: Well during that time, people were going back and trapes
- 31:11Speaker 2: him through Drake's old songs and they're old, you know,
- 31:15Speaker 2: the old track, and there was stuff in there about
- 31:18Speaker 2: Sierra Canyon, which is a high school. People were pulling
- 31:23Speaker 2: up older videos of him, interaction with the interaction with
- 31:26Speaker 2: or interacting with kids and everything and the overall situation
- 31:32Speaker 2: Drake has gotten you know, uh, he's getting backlash, but
- 31:36Speaker 2: he's getting backlash from his actions. Yeah, Kendrick put it
- 31:40Speaker 2: on track, but people are going back with receipts that
- 31:44Speaker 2: are in your music, that are in your actions. Like
- 31:47Speaker 2: where this whole tantrum that has developed now as a
- 31:52Speaker 2: result of this is so weird and it's everything that
- 31:56Speaker 2: Kendrick said on the song.
- 31:57Speaker 3: Did you hear not like us like Trap?
- 32:00Speaker 4: I sure did, so.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Everything that Kendrick is saying in that song, Drake is
- 32:07Speaker 2: doing like you are acting like you are appropriating off
- 32:11Speaker 2: of this culture and not really part of it. Like
- 32:16Speaker 2: Kendrick talks about how Drake is that person that is
- 32:20Speaker 2: on a public platform and has learned his blackness from
- 32:23Speaker 2: watching other people or from the.
- 32:26Speaker 3: Internet and stuff.
- 32:27Speaker 2: He hasn't actually lived in these experiences. And you can
- 32:31Speaker 2: tell by the energy that he reflects. And it's all
- 32:35Speaker 2: right here you soon getting mad over a rap fee
- 32:38Speaker 2: and that's the underlying truth about it. Yeah, but I mean,
- 32:44Speaker 2: he hasn't publicly again, this is all my opinion. He
- 32:47Speaker 2: hasn't publicly, you know, been accused or legally rather of
- 32:52Speaker 2: a Hue Shenanigan.
- 32:54Speaker 3: So here's what it is until then.
- 32:58Speaker 4: Yeah, that's still wow, though, I mean it is well.
- 33:04Speaker 3: I'm just I'm over Drake speaking.
- 33:07Speaker 4: Of being accused. TV is accused of sexual assaults. He
- 33:17Speaker 4: denies and sues, and this is coming after his unfortunate
- 33:23Speaker 4: passing out of his recent search and service. That's all
- 33:28Speaker 4: that the man is making allegations. The man who is
- 33:34Speaker 4: making allegations, I'm sorry, is a pastor named Duane Youngblood
- 33:39Speaker 4: who has had a troubled past, he claims. Last month,
- 33:44Speaker 4: during an episode of the Larry Read Live podcast entitled
- 33:47Speaker 4: Abused Become the Abuser, Duane accused Jakes of attempting to
- 33:53Speaker 4: sexually abuse him when he was still a teenager. He
- 33:57Speaker 4: said Jakes wrapped his arms around him during a trip
- 34:00Speaker 4: to Pittsburgh and tried to kiss him. He further alleged
- 34:04Speaker 4: receiving a phone call from Jakes to discuss having a
- 34:08Speaker 4: sexual relationship. Dwayne was eighteen or nineteen at the time
- 34:12Speaker 4: and struggling with his sexuality. He claims that Bishop Jakes
- 34:16Speaker 4: singled him out and tried to groom him. TD Jakes
- 34:21Speaker 4: is not sitting back and accepting Dwayne's testimony. He claims
- 34:24Speaker 4: that Dwayne hired Tyrone Blackburn and has been trying to
- 34:28Speaker 4: shake him down for six million dollars. In a defamation
- 34:32Speaker 4: lawsuit filed by TD Jakes, he says that young Blood
- 34:35Speaker 4: sought six million from Jake's toh the issue, boiling to
- 34:40Speaker 4: take him to court for sexual assault if the demands
- 34:43Speaker 4: were not met.
- 34:44Speaker 2: Wow, I'm not surprised because you know twenty twenty four, but.
- 34:53Speaker 4: This I wonder if that's why he passed out in.
- 34:56Speaker 2: This repeated cycle, badly timed joke too soon.
- 35:00Speaker 3: Fry papers It was like, Oh.
- 35:08Speaker 4: I mean I am the only one who said it,
- 35:10Speaker 4: so said somebody else said that. Uh he down? He
- 35:20Speaker 4: stepped down from being the pastor of his church right
- 35:23Speaker 4: after did he uh gave Cassie that money?
- 35:27Speaker 3: Mm hmmm?
- 35:29Speaker 4: How nobody knows he was tied to Diddy?
- 35:31Speaker 3: So yo, how you do this? This this whole story roll?
- 35:35Speaker 4: Like?
- 35:36Speaker 3: How how deep does this go?
- 35:40Speaker 4: Listen? I believe that this case is going to crack
- 35:46Speaker 4: open the doors of so much function and a lot
- 35:50Speaker 4: of y'all faves you're gonna find out are with that
- 35:54Speaker 4: pedophile ship, human trafficking ship, and a whole lot of
- 35:58Speaker 4: other stuff. H we'll come out in the wash. Everything
- 36:03Speaker 4: that goes on in the dark must come to light.
- 36:08Speaker 2: Oh, speaking of things, we need to leave alone? Can
- 36:14Speaker 2: y'all leave Wendy alone?
- 36:15Speaker 3: Please? Can y'all please leave that lady alone?
- 36:21Speaker 2: So shade room headline Wendy Williams guardian alleged she's permanently
- 36:27Speaker 2: incapacitated from her dementia. A mid legal battle over lifetime
- 36:32Speaker 2: documentary Leave that Woman Alone. Story reads Wendy Williams is
- 36:39Speaker 2: currently at the center of a legal battle regarding a
- 36:42Speaker 2: lifetime documentary that explores her life and her career. Her
- 36:47Speaker 2: guardian has alleged that she is permanently incapacitated due to dementia,
- 36:51Speaker 2: raising concerns about her ability to make decisions regarding her
- 36:54Speaker 2: personal and professional affairs. The situation has prompted discussions about
- 36:59Speaker 2: the ethics of producing content about individuals who may not
- 37:04Speaker 2: be able to fully participate in decision making process. As
- 37:09Speaker 2: Wendy navigates this challenging time, it's crucial people like understand,
- 37:15Speaker 2: it is crucial to respect the fact that that lady
- 37:18Speaker 2: is going through a lot. Stop taking pictures of her
- 37:22Speaker 2: and posting it for the world for clickbait. That woman
- 37:26Speaker 2: like she Now, I ain't saying she walk the straight line.
- 37:30Speaker 2: God knows, Wendy has, you know, dug up some nonsense
- 37:35Speaker 2: and stuff. But she's still a human being and this
- 37:39Speaker 2: is beyond her control. And if you want to, you know,
- 37:44Speaker 2: sit back for whatever weird ass reason that y'all like
- 37:47Speaker 2: to sit back and take pleasure in the downfall of others.
- 37:51Speaker 2: If y'all want to be that person, or if you
- 37:53Speaker 2: want to be that person, fine do that, but do
- 37:56Speaker 2: it quietly and let that lady just.
- 38:01Speaker 3: Right.
- 38:02Speaker 4: I don't know what's wrong with people.
- 38:04Speaker 2: Mm hmmm.
- 38:07Speaker 3: Sick, oh sag.
- 38:14Speaker 4: Speaking of did you hear about Nick Cannon.
- 38:20Speaker 2: Something about him he was sick or overworked something I
- 38:25Speaker 2: don't know.
- 38:26Speaker 4: Actually that Cannon admits he was diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder.
- 38:32Speaker 3: That's what it was. Recently told people.
- 38:37Speaker 4: I still don't understand it all, but I kind of
- 38:40Speaker 4: always wanted to get tested for it. That he feels
- 38:44Speaker 4: like there's so many labels out there, but it's like
- 38:47Speaker 4: to be able to embrace it and say, look, I'm healing,
- 38:50Speaker 4: I need help show me. I just embraced mental health
- 38:54Speaker 4: and therapy in such a strong way to be able
- 38:57Speaker 4: to say I'm an example for others but also be
- 38:59Speaker 4: healing during the self process works too, so because that
- 39:05Speaker 4: narcissistic ship.
- 39:06Speaker 7: Mm hm baby baby, Well, I mean, you know what,
- 39:18Speaker 7: as long as he's getting the help that he needs,
- 39:20Speaker 7: I am here for it because you know, I'll clown
- 39:23Speaker 7: like clown Nick a lot.
- 39:25Speaker 2: But yeah, at the end of the day, I don't
- 39:27Speaker 2: want to see anything bad happen to him.
- 39:29Speaker 3: So speaking of people talk badly about in the public
- 39:37Speaker 3: because you heard about his recent going on. All right,
- 39:43Speaker 3: so the nigga that made that song, nothing else bad
- 39:47Speaker 3: is this?
- 39:48Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 39:49Speaker 3: You know, nothing gets better? Yeah, so that nigga.
- 39:52Speaker 2: He it's been all over social media. Apparently somebody one
- 39:58Speaker 2: of his exes that uh he used to deal with,
- 40:02Speaker 2: has decided to go public with their dealings. And with
- 40:05Speaker 2: that he dragged he drags him out of the closet.
- 40:08Speaker 3: Also, oh wow a man. Yeah.
- 40:13Speaker 2: So actually if you listen to his track, because I
- 40:17Speaker 2: went back once the story dropped, I went back and
- 40:19Speaker 2: I pulled up his uh, the lyrics to that song
- 40:23Speaker 2: better was like, we don't got a high?
- 40:28Speaker 3: This is what this is what I like, I admit,
- 40:31Speaker 3: Like it was right there in black and white.
- 40:33Speaker 4: Anyway, guess what I'm saying, Like, it's so funny to
- 40:39Speaker 4: me because these people really be telling on theyself.
- 40:43Speaker 3: They really do. It's right there in the song lyrics.
- 40:46Speaker 3: But you are telling me, well, yeah, that's too. I'm
- 40:51Speaker 3: not gonna put that on calib now.
- 40:54Speaker 2: The Room recently addressed rumors regarding his sexuality that surface
- 40:59Speaker 2: after this boyfriend made comments that many interpreted as him
- 41:02Speaker 2: being outed. In a candidate social media post, he clarified
- 41:06Speaker 2: that he identifies as heterosexual and emphasized the importance of
- 41:11Speaker 2: being authentic to oneself. He expressed frustration over the situation,
- 41:16Speaker 2: noting that being outed, whether intentionally or unintentionally, can be
- 41:21Speaker 2: damaging and invasive. And it's something that I've said repeatedly.
- 41:25Speaker 3: On all of these shows.
- 41:27Speaker 2: So the backstory of the situation involves his purblic persona
- 41:32Speaker 2: and his openness about various aspects of his life, including
- 41:36Speaker 2: his music. As an artist, he's often focused on themes
- 41:40Speaker 2: of love and personal experiences, you know, and that can
- 41:44Speaker 2: always lead to speculation out of relationships. Now, the recent
- 41:48Speaker 2: rumors took a more serious turn when his X marks
- 41:51Speaker 2: that suggested that he was you know, anything other than heterosexual.
- 41:56Speaker 2: Of course, niggas hear that and run with it. So
- 42:00Speaker 2: in addressing the rumors, he highlighted the need for respecting
- 42:03Speaker 2: and understanding regarding his personal identities. He reiterated that discussions
- 42:09Speaker 2: about somebody's sexuality should come from the individual themselves, rather
- 42:14Speaker 2: than assumptions or external comments, because y'all do that often.
- 42:18Speaker 2: Y'all do that with trans people, You do it with
- 42:22Speaker 2: you know, men that are anything other than out here
- 42:26Speaker 2: trying to snippet every type pair of genes, like you
- 42:30Speaker 2: put those labels on people and it blows up into
- 42:33Speaker 2: things like this, So you know, he clears the air
- 42:39Speaker 2: about the drug use rumors also because of course, if
- 42:43Speaker 2: you're gay, you automatically got to be gay and on
- 42:46Speaker 2: drugs and struggling and scamming.
- 42:51Speaker 3: All of these things. So that is the stigma. Oh,
- 42:56Speaker 3: we all got AIDS, we all got HIV.
- 42:59Speaker 2: Like you know, my gosh, all of these weird as
- 43:03Speaker 2: negative stigmas that are I guess stereotypes.
- 43:07Speaker 3: But we can.
- 43:09Speaker 2: See how these stereotypes turn into what is going on
- 43:13Speaker 2: right now in twenty twenty four.
- 43:15Speaker 3: With the selection.
- 43:18Speaker 4: Fax facts Facts, Have.
- 43:20Speaker 3: You got anything else?
- 43:21Speaker 4: Or yes, one more thing. I want to give a congratulations.
- 43:28Speaker 4: Michelle Williams from Destiny's Child alright is now on Broadway
- 43:35Speaker 4: in the musical production of one of my favorite films,
- 43:40Speaker 4: I mean, Death Becomes Her.
- 43:45Speaker 3: I have wait about seen that.
- 43:48Speaker 4: You I know you've seen that movie, Come on.
- 43:52Speaker 3: I probably have. I think I have. No, it's been
- 43:55Speaker 3: a while. M wow.
- 43:59Speaker 4: Yeah, and I heard that she is doing amazing. She's
- 44:04Speaker 4: killing it vocally and all of that. So yeah, congrats
- 44:09Speaker 4: to her. And most recently she just did the Thanksgiving
- 44:13Speaker 4: Macy's Day Thanksgiving parade too as her carrying.
- 44:18Speaker 3: It out.
- 44:21Speaker 4: Yes, so kudos to you. Congratulation.
- 44:25Speaker 3: Shelley sell Out here is still keeping a buck.
- 44:27Speaker 4: I know that's right.
- 44:29Speaker 3: And she got personal all right.
- 44:32Speaker 2: So last week I said that I give some you know,
- 44:37Speaker 2: I give it some time to sit down and look
- 44:39Speaker 2: up some stuff about on the whole you know, Jonathan Major's.
- 44:42Speaker 3: Ex girlfriend situation get you all back up.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Since then, his accent has recently dropped her defamation and
- 44:53Speaker 2: assault lawsuit against him, and that's garnered all kinds of
- 44:57Speaker 2: media attention.
- 44:58Speaker 4: Mm hmm.
- 44:59Speaker 2: Now, the loss so originally stemmed from an incident where
- 45:04Speaker 2: she accused Jonathan of physical assault, allegedly leading to his
- 45:11Speaker 2: arrest earlier this year.
- 45:12Speaker 3: M hm.
- 45:13Speaker 2: This legal battle raised significant concerns about domestic bonds and
- 45:17Speaker 2: the treatment of women in the legal system, particularly in
- 45:20Speaker 2: high profile cases involve involving male celebrities. So I know
- 45:27Speaker 2: that I say that I don't like Jonathan Majors for.
- 45:31Speaker 3: A whole lot of reasons.
- 45:33Speaker 2: Now, the backstory here is important for cons He became
- 45:40Speaker 2: a raising like a writing in Hollywood known for like
- 45:44Speaker 2: what were his roles Creed three, Lovecraft country he was in,
- 45:49Speaker 2: you know, all the Marvel comics, all that shit.
- 45:51Speaker 3: Now, after allegation service, his career.
- 45:56Speaker 2: Went you know, everybody was looking it was, it was
- 45:59Speaker 2: through it, and many began to question the educations of
- 46:03Speaker 2: his actions. So while dropping the lawsuit and hold on,
- 46:08Speaker 2: but then there were also the instances where remember when
- 46:11Speaker 2: he had them little girls that were supposedly fighting, them
- 46:14Speaker 2: little high school girls and then all of a sudden
- 46:16Speaker 2: he just popped up like Batman stopped to fight.
- 46:20Speaker 3: Oh you don't remember that. Instagram videos, so.
- 46:26Speaker 2: Like during all this time or during the time like
- 46:30Speaker 2: of all this was going down about the allegations, somebody
- 46:35Speaker 2: had went on social media and it was recorded like
- 46:40Speaker 2: a fight video, like two girls about to fight, and
- 46:42Speaker 2: people of course whip out their phones instead of trying
- 46:43Speaker 2: to break up the fight. So these kids apparently, you know,
- 46:49Speaker 2: allegedly whipped out their phones that were recording, and out
- 46:52Speaker 2: of nowhere, Jonathan Majors comes to break up the fight. Now,
- 46:56Speaker 2: in this video, nobody mentioned that, oh my god, holy shit, guys,
- 47:00Speaker 2: it's Jonathan Major. It's like nobody did any of that,
- 47:03Speaker 2: but he just broke up the fight, and of course
- 47:06Speaker 2: it went viral online.
- 47:08Speaker 3: Amid all of these rumors and everything.
- 47:10Speaker 2: So I kind of sided when I heard these allegations
- 47:14Speaker 2: and everything at first, because I'm like, Ninja, are you
- 47:18Speaker 2: really going on online to try to get clickbait and
- 47:23Speaker 2: be like, oh, Jonathan Major's is such a good guy.
- 47:25Speaker 3: Look at him breaking up you know, teen audiences or
- 47:28Speaker 3: teen fights and everything. So there was that.
- 47:34Speaker 2: I didn't like how that felt, but it actually brings
- 47:37Speaker 2: forth a bigger issue now as a person that regularly
- 47:45Speaker 2: follows these types of stories and genuinely cares about the
- 47:48Speaker 2: well being of women, I still can't help the side
- 47:51Speaker 2: I fighte.
- 47:54Speaker 3: The lawsuit being drapn.
- 47:55Speaker 2: I mean, I guess my skepticism is like I guess
- 47:59Speaker 2: it comes from troubling patterns often seen in cases like
- 48:03Speaker 2: this involving powerful men and allegations of violence against women.
- 48:07Speaker 2: For instance, Kathy now y'all had everything and then some
- 48:11Speaker 2: to say about her and various other women that speak up.
- 48:15Speaker 3: Before we've even heard the details.
- 48:17Speaker 2: Now there have been Okay, with the way shit there
- 48:23Speaker 2: have been and with the way shit is going, it
- 48:26Speaker 2: seems like there's going to always be high profile cases
- 48:29Speaker 2: where accusations are dismissed and drop. But the underlying issues
- 48:33Speaker 2: like potential manipulation, power dynamics, lasting impact on the victims.
- 48:39Speaker 3: All of that shit still remains.
- 48:42Speaker 2: Think of niggas like Chris Brown, who have history of
- 48:45Speaker 2: violence against women yet continues to have a successful career,
- 48:49Speaker 2: or Johnny Depth and Amber heard where the public, you know,
- 48:52Speaker 2: opinion became more about like men involved rather than the
- 48:56Speaker 2: arm implicated on women.
- 48:58Speaker 3: Donald Trump grabs him.
- 48:59Speaker 2: By the pussy, and over half of goddamn white America
- 49:01Speaker 2: is like that one that is a chosen one, Like.
- 49:05Speaker 3: This is a repeated trend.
- 49:07Speaker 2: Then in the spotlight often evade accountability, while women who
- 49:12Speaker 2: just come forward about it, they they get all this
- 49:16Speaker 2: backlash or aren't taken seriously.
- 49:19Speaker 3: I mean, y'all sat there with Cassie. You had to.
- 49:21Speaker 2: We all had to sit there and watch those very triggering,
- 49:25Speaker 2: very frightening videos unfold before niggas was like, hmmm, well
- 49:30Speaker 2: maybe we made a mistake here.
- 49:33Speaker 3: Wow, it's like this, and I get it.
- 49:35Speaker 2: It's not a Jonathan Major's issue because his was dropped
- 49:39Speaker 2: and that's fine, and I'm a you know, take back. Well,
- 49:46Speaker 2: you know what, No, I still don't like him.
- 49:50Speaker 4: I'm gonna play that on his advocate so.
- 49:53Speaker 2: I still don't like him, and I'm still gonna side
- 49:56Speaker 2: I and moving forward until but you know, I react
- 50:03Speaker 2: and respond to new and developing information so well.
- 50:07Speaker 4: To Blake Devil's advocate, m what about the video? What
- 50:15Speaker 4: video the video of the incident, Cassie, Or now you
- 50:20Speaker 4: talk about Jonathan Majors.
- 50:23Speaker 3: You're talking about the one that I just described, or.
- 50:26Speaker 4: No, so I'm talking about the video of the woman
- 50:30Speaker 4: that accused him. His girlfriend at the time said that
- 50:35Speaker 4: he was beating on her. However the video evidence mm
- 50:42Speaker 4: hmm that you can see with your own two guys
- 50:46Speaker 4: everything she said.
- 50:49Speaker 3: Hm.
- 50:50Speaker 4: But so this is the thing, as people, we have
- 50:57Speaker 4: to stop jumping to conclusions and start doing case by
- 51:01Speaker 4: treating people case by case. I say that because a
- 51:05Speaker 4: lot of the times.
- 51:09Speaker 3: Women lie to they do and are capable, and I'm
- 51:13Speaker 3: aware of this, but.
- 51:16Speaker 2: Till I believe that. And here's the thing, I'm not
- 51:21Speaker 2: taking any of that away. What I am saying is
- 51:24Speaker 2: that every time that somebody comes for that is a woman,
- 51:30Speaker 2: or if I'm presenting, anytime that somebody speaks up for
- 51:33Speaker 2: themselves and they come forward and say that things are
- 51:36Speaker 2: gone have gone.
- 51:37Speaker 3: Wrong, we immediately without doubt. We immediately run and cape
- 51:43Speaker 3: for that. Nigga. Well, what was like?
- 51:46Speaker 2: We sat there months ago, we got a whole show
- 51:48Speaker 2: called Alpha Man Versus Bear where.
- 51:53Speaker 3: Niggas was like, oh, well, why should you pick at
- 51:56Speaker 3: the bear? That's that the third it's because men are dangerous.
- 51:58Speaker 3: But the thing is with a goddamn bear, A bear
- 52:02Speaker 3: ain't gonna dig you up tied your body. Tell niggas
- 52:06Speaker 3: he ain't seen you in like this. It's repeated. I
- 52:13Speaker 3: don't know.
- 52:13Speaker 2: I mean, like I said, this ain't got nothing to
- 52:15Speaker 2: do with Jonathan because he was you know, he's great
- 52:25Speaker 2: in y'all's comic book videos and all of that ship.
- 52:27Speaker 4: We'll see because you know how they do in Hollywood.
- 52:30Speaker 4: Once you get that ASTI on your back, it's hard
- 52:32Speaker 4: to come back from that ship.
- 52:34Speaker 3: If you are a white male. Ain't but he's not.
- 52:38Speaker 3: So m you got anything else you care about that happened?
- 52:46Speaker 4: Dum, And that's that I can recall.
- 52:49Speaker 2: No great, Okay, let's talk about oh the Caucassidy M
- 52:54Speaker 2: and boy were talking about Walmart. Oh yeah, Walmart a
- 52:58Speaker 2: lot on this show.
- 53:00Speaker 3: All right, a bits.
- 53:02Speaker 8: We have some major breaking news right now, and not
- 53:03Speaker 8: only did democratic leader Hakim Jeffries confirm that several Democratic
- 53:07Speaker 8: members received bomb threats over the past twenty four hours,
- 53:10Speaker 8: but we now know that the bomb threats ended with
- 53:13Speaker 8: the sign MAGA. According to Hakim Jeffries, these bomb threats
- 53:16Speaker 8: included letters and threats of pipe bombs at multiple Democratic
- 53:20Speaker 8: congressman's homes in Connecticut, including the Senator of Connecticut, Sheldon Whitehouse.
- 53:26Speaker 8: Now we don't know exactly what was written on all
- 53:28Speaker 8: of them, but Hakim Jeffries did note that they had
- 53:31Speaker 8: MAGA written at the end of it. They were essentially
- 53:33Speaker 8: signed MAGA.
- 53:34Speaker 4: Folks.
- 53:35Speaker 8: This type of political violence has no place in our nation.
- 53:38Speaker 8: We heard earlier this week of Donald Trump cabinet members
- 53:42Speaker 8: also potentially getting bomb threats. That's not okay either. It
- 53:45Speaker 8: doesn't matter what political party you're a part of, but
- 53:47Speaker 8: we need to tone down the rhetoric, tone down the violence,
- 53:50Speaker 8: and more people need to hear what is happening right now,
- 53:53Speaker 8: and more people need to call it out and condemn
- 53:55Speaker 8: it unequivocally, especially what we saw over the past twenty
- 53:58Speaker 8: four hours. As always, conval I spread the word of
- 54:00Speaker 8: falling for all the news and you don't know about
- 54:02Speaker 8: the largest as your.
- 54:03Speaker 3: Glim I called it last week. Didn't I have called it?
- 54:14Speaker 3: I called it. I said, this is an attack on
- 54:17Speaker 3: de I did I not? I said it?
- 54:21Speaker 2: And of all the companies, Walmart, y'all, y'all got the
- 54:27Speaker 2: ball roller. Have y'all read the headlines about Walmart scaling
- 54:31Speaker 2: back is d I, which you know, y'all slow was
- 54:35Speaker 2: uh diversity equity and inclusion efforts, especially after basing pressure
- 54:40Speaker 2: from conservative groups. Now this is a big deal, especially
- 54:45Speaker 2: considering the racial Equity center that they created after George
- 54:50Speaker 2: Floyd's got killed. This is that same program. This is
- 54:55Speaker 2: what they rolled back. That center was supposed to be
- 54:59Speaker 2: a step in the right direction, aiming to address systemic
- 55:02Speaker 2: issues that have plagued our communities.
- 55:05Speaker 3: For entirely too long.
- 55:07Speaker 2: But right now we see them backpeddling, and it raises
- 55:10Speaker 2: some serious questions of Walmart.
- 55:13Speaker 3: Trump ain't even got the keys to America yet, and they.
- 55:17Speaker 2: Like throw that DEI shit back, and like this is
- 55:22Speaker 2: like de ei them the meggas that pay y'all's pay checks.
- 55:26Speaker 2: You do realize that, right, So your biggest part, like
- 55:31Speaker 2: your biggest customer, you do something. You pissed them off. Babe,
- 55:37Speaker 2: Have you seen the videos on TikTok and stuff. Yeah,
- 55:41Speaker 2: I have scrolled for walking through wa Bar, like girl.
- 55:44Speaker 3: Ain't nobody in here, you know? Like I don't. What
- 55:54Speaker 3: does this.
- 55:54Speaker 2: Say about like the corporate landscape or dealing with right now?
- 55:59Speaker 2: It's so frustrating to see a major company like Walmart
- 56:02Speaker 2: bowing to pressure instead of just like stand and burn.
- 56:09Speaker 3: Again I'm saying, yeah, but these are your people.
- 56:12Speaker 2: This isn't just about a business. This is about the
- 56:15Speaker 2: message it sends to your community. When companies retreat from
- 56:18Speaker 2: their promises, Like it feels like a slap in the
- 56:20Speaker 2: face to all the progress that we fought for. And
- 56:22Speaker 2: it's a reminder that we need to stay keep your
- 56:26Speaker 2: eyes open and hold these corporations accountable.
- 56:30Speaker 4: Yeah, that's why I'm going to target.
- 56:37Speaker 3: First.
- 56:39Speaker 4: Do we really expect a lot from Walmart?
- 56:42Speaker 3: Yeah, but we're not talking about you and I Marcus
- 56:45Speaker 3: and Lyrics. We're talking about everybody.
- 56:47Speaker 2: There's people out here that like they do all of
- 56:50Speaker 2: their grocery shopping at one I'm sorry, at all of
- 56:54Speaker 2: their grocery shopping and everything they have to get done,
- 56:56Speaker 2: they do it at one time at the Walmart. It
- 56:59Speaker 2: is essential for some people and for them to do
- 57:04Speaker 2: something this big, and I know a lot of us
- 57:06Speaker 2: are coming back like.
- 57:07Speaker 3: Oh, we need to boycott, we need da da da.
- 57:09Speaker 9: Da da da.
- 57:10Speaker 3: Well, while that might be very I don't know.
- 57:13Speaker 2: It's it's so hard to gauge because right now you've
- 57:17Speaker 2: got people barely scraping together to make it and now
- 57:21Speaker 2: to take one of their biggest outlets away.
- 57:25Speaker 3: From them, it's gonna it's gonna hurt. But uh, I
- 57:29Speaker 3: don't know.
- 57:31Speaker 4: Now, I know we're not just talking about you and I. However,
- 57:35Speaker 4: us as a community have to band together and stick
- 57:39Speaker 4: with things. The black dollar is so powerful. If we
- 57:46Speaker 4: were to really do a boycott, say for our company,
- 57:51Speaker 4: do you know how how much that company's UH stops
- 57:56Speaker 4: with drastically decline?
- 57:59Speaker 3: Yeah, they would. So.
- 58:01Speaker 4: Like my thing is, when when stuff like this happens,
- 58:06Speaker 4: we all need to band together and actually stick with
- 58:09Speaker 4: it until changes are made. We have that, we have
- 58:13Speaker 4: every capability to do so. It's just it just seems
- 58:17Speaker 4: like when these things happen, people are mad about it
- 58:20Speaker 4: for a couple of weeks and then it's on to
- 58:22Speaker 4: the next one and you're still going to be shopping
- 58:24Speaker 4: at the same places. Because it seems to me, like
- 58:26Speaker 4: nobody really really really.
- 58:28Speaker 2: Cares, and they do it because of convenience, because these
- 58:32Speaker 2: places are everywhere, because they're closer to our homes, because
- 58:35Speaker 2: they're accessible. But the bigger picture is that supporting these businesses,
- 58:43Speaker 2: like everything needs to be looked at.
- 58:46Speaker 3: You need to prioritize the eye.
- 58:49Speaker 2: Businesses are people, you know, businesses that prioritize the eyes initiatives.
- 58:54Speaker 2: We need to hold the ones that don't accountable through
- 58:57Speaker 2: our spending choices, like Larry said, but you our collective
- 59:00Speaker 2: power to advocate for actual, real change.
- 59:04Speaker 3: And that's like cultural.
- 59:06Speaker 2: Right now, we do temporary boycotts and we hit them
- 59:09Speaker 2: in their pockets, slap them on the wrist.
- 59:10Speaker 3: A few weeks, maybe a month, and then we right.
- 59:13Speaker 2: Back there to you know, right, So this is bigger,
- 59:21Speaker 2: whether that's through community organizing, supporting local black owned businesses,
- 59:26Speaker 2: or actively participating in like talks about racial equality, like
- 59:30Speaker 2: we need to stand up.
- 59:32Speaker 3: For ourselves and push the progress that we deserve. That's
- 59:37Speaker 3: all ok catstituted this week. That's all I got. Second
- 59:40Speaker 3: half of the show feming up next. We'll be right back.
- 59:43Speaker 9: So it's looking like Walmart is having a really rough
- 59:45Speaker 9: day as they should. They didn't hesitate to show us
- 59:49Speaker 9: who they were the first chance.
- 59:51Speaker 4: They got, before the Orange Man.
- 59:53Speaker 9: Even took office, they let us know that we were
- 59:55Speaker 9: not welcome there. Oh, they will sure take our money,
- 59:58Speaker 9: but they don't want us in in the hiring process.
- 1:00:01Speaker 9: They don't really want us employed there. If they don't
- 1:00:04Speaker 9: want us employ there and they don't want to give
- 1:00:06Speaker 9: us equity, then we don't want to give them our money.
- 1:00:09Speaker 9: Because you see, I guess they got it all the
- 1:00:11Speaker 9: way fucked up. They must have thought that Trump was
- 1:00:15Speaker 9: the one shopping at their stores. Did all of this
- 1:00:18Speaker 9: for a man who would never step foot in your store?
- 1:00:20Speaker 9: You forgot. We don't want to pay the bills. We're
- 1:00:23Speaker 9: the customers. We keep the doors open. But since you
- 1:00:26Speaker 9: don't want diversity and inclusion and your stores, we will
- 1:00:30Speaker 9: spend our money elsewhere.
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: And I don't even.
- 1:00:33Speaker 9: Give a shit if they backslot. At this point, it's
- 1:00:35Speaker 9: too late. They showed us who they are. No black inclusion,
- 1:00:39Speaker 9: no motherfucking black dollars, period.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: Take us the work, take us up, ago, take us
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: wherever you got.
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: Real talk radio inside the second half of the show, here,
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: WRTR missed the lyric as you get ready for the
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: show tonight.
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: Do you have like any like pre show rituals.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: Or anything that you do before you get like before
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: you go on stage.
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: No, not really, honestly, I just try to, you know,
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: remain in a nice, peaceful state. I'll have me a
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: red bull right before I leave out the house for
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: that extra boost of energy. Might take me a nap,
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: But no, I don't really do anything out of the ordinary.
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: I just try to, you know, maintain my peace, because really, yeah,
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: I try to anyway, you know, depending on your emotions.
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: Singing angry is not cute off and being in like
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: that stressful state of mind, it will cause you to
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: overthink things and you'll make like note choices that might
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: not be right. M you can forget the words things like.
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: It's just not a good space to be in.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: So wow, I just even think about that. I've never
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: even thought about that. Singing is emotional, so you you
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: have to be on the right kind of vibe.
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: Yep.
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: Humm, okay.
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: I've been going through the letters trying to, you know,
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: clear out the ones that you know before the end
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: the year ends. Came across this one. It says, dear
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: Lyric Marcus, I hope you're both doing great. I'm a
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: huge supporter, got good things, nice things, look forward to
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: the episodes. You two have a knack for making every episode,
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: uh topic feel relatable and fun. I wanted to drop
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: a line to chat about something that's becuzzing and the
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: music scene lately, collaborations.
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: It seems like every.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: Week there's a new track dropping featuring unexpected pairings and
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: I'm here for For instance, I recently heard about the
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: collaboration between Megan Stallion and a legendary rock band, and
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: it got me thinking about how music genres are blending
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: like never before. As someone who loves discovering new sounds,
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: I'd love to hear your thoughts on which collaborations you
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: think are true game changers right now? Are there any
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: upcoming parents that you're excited about? And what do you
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: think drives these artists step out of their comfort zones
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: and experiment with different genres. Thanks for always bringing the
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: vibes and keeping entertaining. We hear your insights.
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: Blah blah blah, much love, d.
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: D D.
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: With to ease.
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: Okay, let's see what makes them jump out into different genres.
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: Money everybody is struggling.
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: Activity nobody wants to sit there and do the same
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: thing over and over and over and over and over
- 1:04:05Speaker 4: and over and over again. It gets boring after a while.
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: So say I want to do I want to do
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: a remix of one of my R and B songs
- 1:04:15Speaker 4: with the rock and roll artist or something like that.
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: That's going to give me the creativity for one to
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: come up with a way to incorporate both of our genres,
- 1:04:28Speaker 4: and two that's going to put me in another category
- 1:04:33Speaker 4: as well, because not only will I be able to
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: like share it on in the R and B side,
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: the other artists will be able to share it on
- 1:04:41Speaker 4: their rock and roll side. So it kind of works.
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, I mean then you can gain more fans
- 1:04:51Speaker 4: that way as well, Like people who's never heard of
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: you may have heard of their rock artist Faith, and
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: now they get to hear like a different side of
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: their favorite artists from their collaboration with you.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: So I've always been a fan of collaborations. I have always, always,
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: always because some of my favorite songs are just collapsed.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: And I would say again, like I said, people are struggling.
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: Money is a thing, but it's also artistic, you know,
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: just looking at it from my artistic lanes. It's awesome
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: to see how different music is but how similar, like
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: when you start blending genres like Beyonce doing this country
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: album blew my mind because I'm used to seeing her
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: in one box and instead of leaving her in that box,
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: you know, she jumps to wrap and then she jumps
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: back and then she jumps the country and it's just
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: like it's illuminating for me. It lets me know just
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: how much of everybody else ship got a little.
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: Bit of flavor, saying mm hm oh.
- 1:06:07Speaker 4: Speaking of collapse, shout out to Elskie stacks Uh, a
- 1:06:12Speaker 4: local rapper and singer artist from the d m V area,
- 1:06:19Speaker 4: who I had the pleasure of being in his newest
- 1:06:23Speaker 4: music video.
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: You are in the music Yeah, better work.
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: It was so much fun.
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: Where is the video? Can I see?
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: It's not done yet? I was just in a scene.
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: Oh, I want to see when it comes out. You
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: got to send.
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: It to.
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: Music That was fun. D I appreciate the question.
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: I don't know as far as who I would like
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: to see do a collaborate now, because there's so many
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: happening that I don't really have a wish list. To
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: be honest with you, I'm very hard on Kendrick's new album.
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: So other than.
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: That, I don't really you know, nothing's really in my
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: playlist right now.
- 1:07:08Speaker 4: And then.
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: Same pretty much all right, my foules up.
- 1:07:14Speaker 10: Now another song that went right over your head because
- 1:07:19Speaker 10: it kept going over mind. So for Real's Candy Rain.
- 1:07:25Speaker 10: It's not as innocent of a song as you think
- 1:07:27Speaker 10: it was. And I was, I think yesterday years old
- 1:07:31Speaker 10: when I found that out, because I was sitting next
- 1:07:34Speaker 10: to my twin sister and I have a nineties playlist
- 1:07:38Speaker 10: and I you know, that song come up, and you know,
- 1:07:40Speaker 10: they had the cute dances that they were doing, and
- 1:07:42Speaker 10: I was singing, and she was like, do you know
- 1:07:44Speaker 10: what they singing about? I said, what are you talking about?
- 1:07:48Speaker 10: Is just singing?
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: I never paid attention. So shout out to my sister
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: for that.
- 1:07:54Speaker 10: And she didn't even say nothing else, because my sister
- 1:07:56Speaker 10: knows how my brain thinks. All you have to do
- 1:07:59Speaker 10: is alanthe seed. I put two and two together, it
- 1:08:02Speaker 10: just didn't register. And then my brain, you know, I
- 1:08:05Speaker 10: love music, so I have random stashes of you know,
- 1:08:10Speaker 10: lines in my head or random songs in my head
- 1:08:13Speaker 10: because I love music and then I thought about the
- 1:08:16Speaker 10: song ll cool Jay's doing it. That's the name of
- 1:08:19Speaker 10: the song. There's a line in there about Candy Rain,
- 1:08:22Speaker 10: and I hollered, Oh my gosh, no. So yeah, And
- 1:08:30Speaker 10: if you want to know what the line is on
- 1:08:31Speaker 10: the ll cool J song, go look it up. But yeah,
- 1:08:34Speaker 10: Soul for Real's Candy Rain not a very innocent song,
- 1:08:38Speaker 10: and now I can never listen to it again.
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: Why do you have broke?
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: Why file?
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: Why do my children hate me?
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: Real Talk Radio?
- 1:08:52Speaker 4: Why did my vaginavine?
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: Is out there?
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: We're inserting why to the questions you want to know
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: by taking your shit.
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: We don't do Twitter anymore.
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: Hi, all right, so this is the Wild Files. Remember
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: the truth is out there. We're definitely taking your emails
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: at WRTR Radio at gmail dot com. That's right, all right.
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: This one comes from Mary. She wants to remain anonymous.
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: Okay, so I gave her Mary.
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: So part of me wanted to write this in for
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: advice when I'm gonna turn it into a y question
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: because my last letter got.
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: Ignored us Just kidding. I know y'all got me when
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: it comes to bad, when it comes to bedroom trash talk,
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: I love that shit and always have. This is poorly written.
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: When I come when it comes to bedroom talk trash talk,
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: I love that she always have. So why does it
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: bother me when my non black boyfriend refers to any
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: of my parts as black for example, black tits, black pussy,
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: sa Am I the only one that feels this way
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: because it's never bothered me with any one else of
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: my past all black partners, But since I've started dating
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: this one, it does.
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: Why do I feel this way?
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: Why am I letting the rest of the world's issues
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: follow me into the bedroom?
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: Race play girl, that's now I'm playing. I play.
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: I don't think, Jane, but I don't do race play,
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: and I never will mainly because I don't.
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't cross the lines.
- 1:10:37Speaker 4: But.
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: I will say, if something is making you uncomfortable, don't
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: do it period.
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: I mean, that's just it. That's very simple. So why
- 1:10:49Speaker 3: why are.
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: You feeling uncomfortable because something about it rubs you the
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: wrong way? I mean, like I said, I don't do
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: race play, and it does feel I can't imagine give
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: me that black.
- 1:11:03Speaker 3: When people say that kind of stuff and they be
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: getting it, not for that.
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: I mean, if you trash talk that's fine, done your
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: little trash talking.
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: But there's just certain stuff like I don't even if I.
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: Was interested in having a other than black partner, I
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: don't think that those lines would ever blur.
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, have you ever been with a white person?
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: I'm sorry I said that way too aggressive. I'm so sorry. No, no,
- 1:11:54Speaker 4: that is not my preference.
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: Oh.
- 1:11:59Speaker 11: I mean, m let's get the hand, let's play got
- 1:12:04Speaker 11: away from the slave master child, Let's play run away from.
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: The plantation and that much. Give me that.
- 1:12:20Speaker 4: Girl, Lina, m m no, no, no, thank you.
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: Because out there it definitely is leave that alone. Honestly,
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: like all dricks aside, if something is making you uncomfortable,
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: don't do that.
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: Ship's done.
- 1:12:41Speaker 4: That's why it comes from Darren from Washington, d C.
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: You don't want an.
- 1:12:53Speaker 4: Why are there so many financially irresponsible people out here? Oh?
- 1:12:59Speaker 4: I see all the time people will go to the
- 1:13:02Speaker 4: bar and spend hundreds of dollars at the bar buying
- 1:13:07Speaker 4: all types of bottles instead of making sure their bills
- 1:13:10Speaker 4: are paid, and then at the end of the month
- 1:13:15Speaker 4: posting gofundmes on all their social media pages.
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: Wow, why financial literacy and black thereof?
- 1:13:29Speaker 4: Why because people like to keep up with the Joneses,
- 1:13:32Speaker 4: and the Joneses ain't keeping up with them too, and
- 1:13:42Speaker 4: people want to make it seem like they are a
- 1:13:44Speaker 4: lot further than what they really are instead of just
- 1:13:48Speaker 4: being responsible adults and moving according to their budget in
- 1:13:53Speaker 4: their financial state of their household and yeah there why because.
- 1:14:03Speaker 3: The truth is out there? Oh wow, that's that's a
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: rough one.
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: I wish that they offered these kinds of classes in
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: school me too, like financial.
- 1:14:14Speaker 3: Literacy, because they teach you.
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: It's like, I feel like there should be something after
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: the standardized K through twelve curriculum, something that teaches you
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: actual life that you also are required to go through because.
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: It's like these high schools take people.
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: They drop them off and it's like, okay, there's life,
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: go figure it out. You have all this book knowledge,
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: but you don't have any idea of how to really
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: apply that book knowledge to what it is meaning, right,
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: And I mean, I guess there's college.
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: Of course. I'm talking about for people that.
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: Decide to go out and not pursue higher education as
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: far as like collegiate you know, college accolades.
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: And you know, pursuing your career. There should be I believe.
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: I just I wish there were a lot more programs
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: that would help people like that.
- 1:15:05Speaker 4: I feel like they should have that type of stuff too,
- 1:15:08Speaker 4: like life skills, Like I didn't learn how to like
- 1:15:14Speaker 4: write a check until it was time for me to
- 1:15:16Speaker 4: write a check. I didn't know how to do my
- 1:15:19Speaker 4: taxes until it was time for me to figure that
- 1:15:21Speaker 4: shit out or go see professional not like that should
- 1:15:25Speaker 4: be taught in school versus a lot of other stupid shit.
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: To me, Yeah, And there's just a lot of stuff
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: that and things that I picked up along the way
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: that that I would have been privy to in my
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: younger years, and you know, just out here living by
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: and I feel like there's so many instances I'm like,
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: there should be a class on this, or why don't
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: wet a business?
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: Yes?
- 1:15:55Speaker 4: Or how to how to buy and sell stocks stuff
- 1:15:59Speaker 4: like that.
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: So as we're right here on the brink of redoing
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: all this new shit or all this old shit, or
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: revamping how things are done.
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: Wiping out the old education policies and.
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: All that for those of y'all that are out there
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: in positions that could possibly make these things happen for
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: the you know, coming generation don't you drop some nuggets
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: of knowledge.
- 1:16:22Speaker 3: In those kinds of buckets.
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: Why don't we build a curriculum that includes things that
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: are going to help people actually integrate into this fuck
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: the bad society and maybe do something a little bit bigger,
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: you know, something that's improving.
- 1:16:39Speaker 4: It's kind of embarrassing too, because you know in China,
- 1:16:42Speaker 4: you know.
- 1:16:42Speaker 3: What they got kids doing in garden.
- 1:16:44Speaker 4: Yes, they're cooking, they're sewing, they're making shit like our
- 1:16:50Speaker 4: kids are having nap time.
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: Right You're sitting there talking.
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: About oh, you know all his ABC's all twenty six
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: Like they're.
- 1:16:58Speaker 4: Looking like three and four course meals over there, making
- 1:17:01Speaker 4: their own lunches and shit, knowing how to do laundry
- 1:17:05Speaker 4: and all types of stuff like that's life scales.
- 1:17:09Speaker 3: Yep.
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: I just recently read a story about them trying to
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: teleport niggas right now.
- 1:17:13Speaker 4: Oh my god, I'm not doing it.
- 1:17:15Speaker 3: We over here.
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: Debating about gas prices and them niggas about to blip
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: over here, wipe us out and blip back before we did.
- 1:17:24Speaker 12: That's funny, and that wraps it up for this week's
- 1:17:31Speaker 12: Wi Files again at WRTR Real Talk Radio on Instagram
- 1:17:35Speaker 12: and at WRTR radio.
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: At gmail dot com. Up next, we got news to
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: micking know. Just remember the truth is autful.
- 1:17:43Speaker 13: So all these Muslim and Arabic people started that campaign
- 1:17:46Speaker 13: to vote against Kamalin Harris, talking about the abandoned Harris campaign.
- 1:17:50Speaker 13: And now that Donald Trump is doing what he said
- 1:17:53Speaker 13: he was going to do, which is not care about Palestine,
- 1:17:56Speaker 13: now they want to get it on here and beg
- 1:17:58Speaker 13: Biden and Hair for help, say that they have to
- 1:18:02Speaker 13: do something before it stains their reputation before they leave office.
- 1:18:07Speaker 13: And you dedicated your resources to voting for the man
- 1:18:10Speaker 13: who said to turn it basically into a parking lot.
- 1:18:18Speaker 4: Ya y'all.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: Used to make nauseous on w RTIE are Real Talk Radio.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: These are some of the stories you might not read
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: about in the New York Times, the Washington Post of
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: the Wall Street Journal.
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: It's news to make you nauseous.
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: And I got one from Florida, Always Florida.
- 1:18:45Speaker 3: It certainly is say what bitches in Florida say what?
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: Two Florida inmates are expecting a daughter together after conceleeving
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: through unconventional means. Nope, it's not the trans nightmare that
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: y'all thought that it was going to be in the jails.
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: These people aren't trans In fact, these people are a
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: biological man and woman, according to.
- 1:19:18Speaker 3: At Law and Crime.
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: On Instagram, inmates Daisy Link and Joaned Boss described their
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: daughter as a miracle baby after Link became pregnant without
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: ever meeting Depas and Prince in person. Link, whose charge
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: with second degree murder after she allegedly killed her husband,
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: decided to bring life into the world again and reportedly
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: told her family that she became pregnant after Depause passed
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: his seamen in a plastic wrap.
- 1:19:52Speaker 3: Through an air conditioning vent.
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: She described in detail that their relationships started by speaking
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: through the vent. After sparking a romantic relationship, you know.
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: Through the vent, Devis reportedly expressed his desire to become
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: a father. So there was like, girl, I want to
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: have a baby with you, and she was like, but
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: my pussy can't fit through the vent.
- 1:20:25Speaker 3: He was like, say no more.
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: And then he put the seamen in saran wrap every
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: day for five times a day, for like a month straight.
- 1:20:36Speaker 3: These are her words quote.
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: He would kind of he would kind of like roll
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: it up almost like a cigarette, and he would attach
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: it to the line and we would vent it. He
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: would attach it to the line that we had in
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: the vent and will pull it through.
- 1:20:53Speaker 3: She said.
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: From there I had it placed inside you, you know,
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: the yeast infection applicators. I had placed it inside of
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: there and from there, yeah, I administered it. And now
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: they have a baby on the way.
- 1:21:11Speaker 3: So there you go.
- 1:21:12Speaker 4: Wow, wow, mm hmm.
- 1:21:18Speaker 3: That's crazy bent baby. Oh my god. There's so many
- 1:21:25Speaker 3: names com oh my god, comment Sarah is great and
- 1:21:38Speaker 3: Cartica come on cour your tur.
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: My God's infection applicator.
- 1:21:53Speaker 4: I can't.
- 1:21:55Speaker 3: Ventsia.
- 1:22:06Speaker 4: Yeah, oh my gosh, that's crazy.
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: Barbara instead of like ours. Now that was awful. Anyways, Yeah,
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: I got nothing. Sorry, that sounds that's horrible.
- 1:22:20Speaker 3: That is horrible.
- 1:22:21Speaker 4: It very much so, isn't horrible? Say what, Independence Missouri?
- 1:22:30Speaker 4: Say what?
- 1:22:31Speaker 3: It donna sound good.
- 1:22:33Speaker 4: It's not gonna be good. It's about it's about to
- 1:22:36Speaker 4: be real, said all right. Maria Pike third, age thirty four,
- 1:22:40Speaker 4: and her two month old daughter, Destiny Hope, were fatally
- 1:22:43Speaker 4: shot by police and Independence, Missouri on November seventh, twenty
- 1:22:49Speaker 4: twenty four. Authorities were called to the scene by Destiny's grandmother,
- 1:22:53Speaker 4: to Lisa Combs, after an altercation with Pike. The incident
- 1:22:57Speaker 4: escalated when the officers entered the apartment in a cocording
- 1:23:00Speaker 4: to the official statements, confronted Pike, allegedly armed with a knife.
- 1:23:05Speaker 4: I reportedly lunched at the officers, prompting the fatal shooting
- 1:23:09Speaker 4: of both the mother and child.
- 1:23:12Speaker 3: Why do they shoot?
- 1:23:15Speaker 4: However, eyewitness accounts, including those from Destiny's father seen sitting
- 1:23:20Speaker 4: on the bed, dispute this, claiming Pike was unarmed during
- 1:23:24Speaker 4: the encounter. The incident is under investigation by the Jackson
- 1:23:28Speaker 4: County Police Involved Investigation Team, with officers involved placed on
- 1:23:34Speaker 4: administrative leave as usual, and the officer's identity has not
- 1:23:38Speaker 4: been released. Community members are pressing for more accountability and
- 1:23:42Speaker 4: information about the tragic event.
- 1:23:45Speaker 2: Officers on administrative leave. We should just rename that too.
- 1:23:48Speaker 2: We don't care.
- 1:23:49Speaker 3: We're not gonna do shit.
- 1:23:51Speaker 4: Mm hmm. But why they shoot the fucking baby though
- 1:23:54Speaker 4: she if she's holding a baby, aren't you trained? Don't
- 1:23:59Speaker 4: you go to the gun range like every week? Aren't
- 1:24:02Speaker 4: you trained to like shoot other parts, Like if she's
- 1:24:05Speaker 4: holding the baby in her in her hands, can't you
- 1:24:08Speaker 4: go for a fucking leg or some shit like that?
- 1:24:10Speaker 4: If you have to use the gun or use non
- 1:24:13Speaker 4: deadly force. This why story pissed me off?
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: Oh my god, just another thing. Uh, that's heartbreaking. That's
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: so heartbreaking.
- 1:24:25Speaker 3: I can't make no jokes. I don't feel I feel cheated.
- 1:24:29Speaker 4: I'm sorry.
- 1:24:30Speaker 3: That's all good.

- 1:25:02Speaker 6: The ICC, the ICJ, the UN commission Report, the Human
- 1:25:06Speaker 6: Rights to Watch, the UN Special Reporter on Food, the
- 1:25:08Speaker 6: UN Regress Reporter on Palestine Territories, ox them who WFP,
- 1:25:12Speaker 6: Doctors without the Borders, UN High Commissioner all say that
- 1:25:15Speaker 6: we need to save children and that we should believe
- 1:25:18Speaker 6: what the ICJ has ruled in terms of America and
- 1:25:20Speaker 6: in terms of Israel doing a whole bunch of that
- 1:25:22Speaker 6: g side the world say we believe it is when
- 1:25:25Speaker 6: America say we don't believe it. As a matter of fact,
- 1:25:27Speaker 6: I think about this very I think about this a lot.
- 1:25:30Speaker 6: That when the ICJ and the ICC was coming after Putin,
- 1:25:33Speaker 6: for all the shit that he was doing, I don't
- 1:25:35Speaker 6: remember nobody out West really trying to trivialize the legitimacy
- 1:25:38Speaker 6: of the international courts. But as soon as America or
- 1:25:41Speaker 6: one of its allies, specifically Israel, started doing some shit,
- 1:25:43Speaker 6: then all of a sudden, we got to question the
- 1:25:45Speaker 6: jurisdiction of the ICC.
- 1:25:47Speaker 4: Huh.
- 1:25:47Speaker 6: To me, it's just like it's it's the hypocrisy of democracy, man,
- 1:25:51Speaker 6: And I'm no longer bounding to the idea that this
- 1:25:53Speaker 6: country right here is the only democracy in the Middle
- 1:25:55Speaker 6: East when it's doing a whole bunch of undemocratic shit.
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: Huh.
- 1:25:58Speaker 6: Education is elevation. Stop pissing on my hand, telling me
- 1:26:01Speaker 6: is raining? Stop pisching on my hand, Telling me is water?
- 1:26:04Speaker 6: Smell pissy?
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: One hundred Hey, it's real, drive, I know you are
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: gr real talk radio we keep it real.
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: So it is after Thanksgiving and lyric how did you
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: feel about Thanksgiving this year?
- 1:26:23Speaker 3: Like did you did it feel the same to you
- 1:26:27Speaker 3: or what was missing, like what's.
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: Going on with Thanksgiving this year? And I know, I
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: guess my textbook answer is just what I'm twenty twenty
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: four got me questioning it everything, and you just go
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: back and you look at I mean, I've always known
- 1:26:47Speaker 2: the story of Thanksgiving. There's just something about everybody doubling
- 1:26:51Speaker 2: down on their moral standards, all this other stuff. Now,
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: I've ever been a you know, Holy Day kind of connoisseur.
- 1:26:59Speaker 2: I got to be at every Holladay, everybody's cookout. I've
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: never really subscribed to a lot of that. I appreciate
- 1:27:05Speaker 2: the days, but as far as celebration, it's never really
- 1:27:10Speaker 2: been a big thing for me because you never really
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: know what you're celebrating. And this Thanksgiving it just seemed
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: like nobody. The energy was off, Like you said, on
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: Black Friday, everybody was just you know, kind of staying
- 1:27:28Speaker 2: in place, kind of protesting at home, not really doing much.
- 1:27:32Speaker 3: What was it like for you?
- 1:27:34Speaker 4: Now?
- 1:27:34Speaker 3: That's me, you know, and I don't like people anyways.
- 1:27:36Speaker 3: What about you?
- 1:27:37Speaker 4: Well, I ain't done Black Friday in years anyway, since
- 1:27:41Speaker 4: I almost got trampled at where Whamar Are you serious?
- 1:27:47Speaker 3: Aldo? I think you told me this story years ago.
- 1:27:49Speaker 4: Yes, yes, yes, And ever since that day, I have
- 1:27:55Speaker 4: refused and boycotted Black Friday because people aren't crazy. And
- 1:28:01Speaker 4: I thought that was like some stuff that you see
- 1:28:04Speaker 4: on the movies. Because this is my first time. I mean,
- 1:28:06Speaker 4: I got up early, got my coffee ready. We was
- 1:28:11Speaker 4: at the store at like four something in the morning.
- 1:28:14Speaker 4: They was going to open the doors at five.
- 1:28:16Speaker 3: I was ready and.
- 1:28:20Speaker 4: Maybe when that worker came to unlock the doors, I
- 1:28:23Speaker 4: felt a little shop. I was like, hey, hey, hey,
- 1:28:25Speaker 4: y'all got a chillo. This is you know. When that
- 1:28:30Speaker 4: lock clicked, my body was pressed against the glass and
- 1:28:34Speaker 4: I could not breathe.
- 1:28:36Speaker 3: Are you serious?
- 1:28:37Speaker 4: No? It was serious, and I was like no. I
- 1:28:40Speaker 4: almost had a pull full fledged panic attack. And then
- 1:28:44Speaker 4: the doors finally opened and my friend, who was who
- 1:28:46Speaker 4: I went with, pushed me from the back and all
- 1:28:49Speaker 4: I remember her yelling is go to the DVD players.
- 1:28:57Speaker 4: The police was there snatching people love who was running.
- 1:29:02Speaker 4: People were falling on the ground. I said, this is crazy.
- 1:29:07Speaker 3: What was a DVD player?
- 1:29:10Speaker 4: And it's never that, Oh my god, wow, you never.
- 1:29:14Speaker 4: I'm not fighting nobody for no fucking DVD player, no TV,
- 1:29:18Speaker 4: no nothing. Bit you can have the ship if you
- 1:29:21Speaker 4: obviously you need it more than me.
- 1:29:23Speaker 3: If you will to deal over.
- 1:29:27Speaker 2: But you know what that has been America's mo because
- 1:29:30Speaker 2: I'm sitting here watching flashback videos. Of course you know
- 1:29:33Speaker 2: things that we of course wouldn't have seen, you know,
- 1:29:36Speaker 2: being little. But I'm seeing videos from even the eighties
- 1:29:40Speaker 2: in the seventies where people went buck buck wild crazy
- 1:29:44Speaker 2: on Black Friday like it was a cabbage patch. I
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: saw people fighting over them.
- 1:29:48Speaker 4: Yeap.
- 1:29:50Speaker 3: What was the other crazy? Nintendo?
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: When Nintendo first came out, everybody was after the Power Glove.
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: You remember all that ship that came out. So I've
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: seen a lot of videos research remember the Gachis.
- 1:30:03Speaker 3: Oh yes, yes's them Ferbies.
- 1:30:08Speaker 4: I remember everybody wanted one of them ships, right, and
- 1:30:11Speaker 4: I barely got one my damn self. But my dad
- 1:30:14Speaker 4: was a secure too, because that was one thing I wanted.
- 1:30:19Speaker 3: Right, everybody had.
- 1:30:21Speaker 2: I remember all of the little, uh, the rumors and
- 1:30:25Speaker 2: stuff about the Ferbies apparently listening in on your house.
- 1:30:28Speaker 3: And now you've got a whole ass ai in your house.
- 1:30:31Speaker 4: Now that wasn't sure.
- 1:30:34Speaker 3: It wasn't true, but now it is. Oh of course
- 1:30:42Speaker 3: you did, of course, no.
- 1:30:45Speaker 4: But Thanksgiving was Thanksgiving is not the same. There's no
- 1:30:52Speaker 4: real sense of family togetherness. To me, it just seems
- 1:30:58Speaker 4: like it's just another way for some people to just
- 1:31:02Speaker 4: like cooking recipes and this that the third and get
- 1:31:07Speaker 4: fucked up drunk and that's it to me. Like more
- 1:31:12Speaker 4: recently even there's been more like fights and arguments on
- 1:31:17Speaker 4: Thanksgiving more so than anything.
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: Yep, because I don't know, it's the whole family dynamic
- 1:31:23Speaker 2: is kind of broken down anymore.
- 1:31:26Speaker 4: Like you see it on the skits of the auntie
- 1:31:28Speaker 4: that's talking shit and uh what they say, why are
- 1:31:33Speaker 4: you not married yet? Why are you on your And
- 1:31:36Speaker 4: then the reply is why you on your third husband?
- 1:31:39Speaker 3: You know, right right?
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: That type of the hashtag Thanksgiving clapbacks has always I loved.
- 1:31:48Speaker 4: I missed the old times when I was like younger
- 1:31:50Speaker 4: and you know, Thanksgiving Grandma and your uncles and your
- 1:31:54Speaker 4: cousins came over. There was no drama. Everybody was like
- 1:31:57Speaker 4: really appreciative and really value that time. We don't have
- 1:32:01Speaker 4: that anymore. Now You've got the kids going off playing
- 1:32:04Speaker 4: the game. They're not even like playing with each other
- 1:32:07Speaker 4: or having like, you know, conversations and catching up. Like
- 1:32:11Speaker 4: everybody's just so consumed with other things. You're not really
- 1:32:15Speaker 4: taking that time to have that quality time with each
- 1:32:18Speaker 4: other like we used to.
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: So they're together, but not really together physically together, but
- 1:32:24Speaker 2: everybody's mind is tapped out and elsewhere.
- 1:32:27Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's a big difference. Because you're in the
- 1:32:30Speaker 4: same household and you're together, does not mean you're spending
- 1:32:34Speaker 4: quality time.
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: M this, that's true.
- 1:32:38Speaker 4: I think that's what's missing.
- 1:32:41Speaker 2: Well, I will say this, I didn't really have a
- 1:32:45Speaker 2: real talk this week, but I definitely wanted to hintle
- 1:32:48Speaker 2: on the fact that, yeah, Thanksgiving is kind of dry
- 1:32:52Speaker 2: this year, and I've noticed it, you know, from a
- 1:32:55Speaker 2: very broad kind of perspective. And if you're a listener
- 1:33:00Speaker 2: that has had a wonderful Thanksgiving and you know, enjoyed
- 1:33:04Speaker 2: your time with your family, friends, lovers, YadA, YadA, YadA, congratulations,
- 1:33:08Speaker 2: because it's not a lot of that happening anymore. And
- 1:33:13Speaker 2: I want us to as a community, as a Black community,
- 1:33:16Speaker 2: I want us to get back to those roots that
- 1:33:18Speaker 2: Lyric just talked about, you know, that sense of family
- 1:33:21Speaker 2: and really connecting to the people around you. Because we've
- 1:33:25Speaker 2: got a fight and I don't think that y'all really know,
- 1:33:31Speaker 2: are really paying attention it. Like I said, I had
- 1:33:34Speaker 2: to turn my TV off this week because I had
- 1:33:37Speaker 2: to disconnect just to tap out of whatever's going on
- 1:33:42Speaker 2: while we still can. Because January hit, that orange nigga
- 1:33:48Speaker 2: about to do everything he can to make our lives hell.
- 1:33:53Speaker 3: And it's these very.
- 1:33:57Speaker 2: Warm and very like solid connections with family that we're
- 1:34:00Speaker 2: going to all have to fall back our community. You
- 1:34:05Speaker 2: see another black person say hi God in solidarity, do something.
- 1:34:11Speaker 2: Acknowledge that person because we are the minority, but our
- 1:34:19Speaker 2: impact is we hit a lot harder. Let me just
- 1:34:21Speaker 2: say that we are the minority, but we hit a
- 1:34:24Speaker 2: lot harder. And I'm not talking about physical hit. I'm
- 1:34:28Speaker 2: talking about just overall, but you know, physical truth either way. Yeah,
- 1:34:35Speaker 2: just keep in mind people, community, community, community, And that's
- 1:34:39Speaker 2: all I got to say this week.
- 1:34:40Speaker 3: What about you?
- 1:34:44Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm basically done.
- 1:34:45Speaker 3: Now. You know what term it is getting ready to
- 1:34:51Speaker 3: do your band thing?
- 1:34:54Speaker 4: I'm talking about Christmas Lord today. Sure we'll talk about that.
- 1:35:01Speaker 2: Okay, Well, I mean, has Mariah already started playing on
- 1:35:04Speaker 2: the radio.
- 1:35:06Speaker 3: She has.
- 1:35:08Speaker 4: Moved it from after Thanksgiving to like after after Halloween
- 1:35:13Speaker 4: is over.
- 1:35:14Speaker 3: She's I'm already Can we.
- 1:35:18Speaker 4: Get to November? First, like, can we get to half
- 1:35:21Speaker 4: of November before you just start this because all the
- 1:35:24Speaker 4: anxiety and crap that comes with Christmas is just it's overwhelming.
- 1:35:30Speaker 2: Really well, I'm enjoying this new recording schedule, so my
- 1:35:38Speaker 2: energy is a little bit.
- 1:35:39Speaker 4: Better, seems eas very refreshed.
- 1:35:44Speaker 3: As do I.
- 1:35:46Speaker 2: So let's go ahead and close this thing out and
