- 0:03SPEAKER_01: Alright, looks like we're streaming.
- 0:06SPEAKER_01: It's an AI made simple show.
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: I'm Steve Brown, your host.
- 0:12SPEAKER_01: We're streaming on Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X.
- 0:17SPEAKER_01: Hey, if you're listening, or you're watching, do me a favor, like, subscribe, it helps me out.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: The reason we're here is because you're AI curious, you're understanding that AI is a big part of our world now, and it's going to impact the way that you your work, your workflow happens, the way that you communicate, the way that your business, it's going to impact your business model, it's going to impact your state government, your county government, your your um your government.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: It's going to change everything.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: And so, you know, in the same way that had we known what was going to happen during COVID, what would we, how would we have positioned, what would we have done different?
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: And now that we know this is uh here, it's happening, we have an advantage to prepare, to get ahead, to um be competitive and be prepared.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: And so today's topic is we're going to talk about um the AI Action Plan, America's AI Action Plan.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: That was uh a big deal.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: It happened yesterday.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: This executive order was signed.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: So, what does it mean?
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: What does it mean for your business?
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: What does it mean for our um country?
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: What does it mean for your employees?
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: What does it mean for you if you are an employee?
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: That's what we're gonna cover today.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: We've been talking about this.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: The you know, the the rails are being laid, this is happening, and um if you know, if you know what's coming, your business model is gonna look very different than than you imagined.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: And this is just this is how rapid things are changing.
- 2:23SPEAKER_01: You're the way that you think about your business in the next three years is actually it's going to be disrupted, meaning that you're gonna have a lot of other opportunities you didn't expect.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: And the way that you operate, the way that you do your business, the services or products that you provide, they're all gonna be impacted.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: The team that you hire, the way that you um interact with your customers, customer service, etc.
- 2:50SPEAKER_01: It's all it's all gonna change really fast.
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: And so let's let's dive in here.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: Okay, so this is a big game changer for you and in a positive way.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: Um, unless you hate change, then yeah, I don't know what to say, but it's okay.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: So there's a a five hundred billion dollar plan that's in place, it's happening at the moment, and it's not just for big tech, it's a wave of opportunity for bakeries, boutiques, and builders, and here's the big picture.
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: So, how we got here?
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: China's been uh diligently working, and other countries they've been diligently working to um prepare for this AI race.
- 4:09SPEAKER_01: China opens up, I I don't know the exact number, but they've been building out um energy electric um plants, coal plants to create more and more electricity.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: If if we do one, they do 20.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: I don't know remember the exact number, but um they've been they're ahead of us in preparing the uh rails for uh providing artificial intelligence.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: And what it where it all begins is electricity.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: You need a lot of electricity for this, and so China's been preparing and pouring a lot of money, Europe.
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: They're just arguing over um regulatory hurdles, so they're not going to be in this game, they're gonna be left behind because they're worried about that, and so what uh uh the US is going to do is leapfrog and be position itself as a global AI superpower.
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: And this plan, the AI infrastructure plan here is uh impacting several areas: the infrastructure, skills for you and your workers, and savings for you as well.
- 5:38SPEAKER_01: On um set this up.
- 5:40SPEAKER_01: So this is you can go to you can go to uh whitehouse.gov and look up in the articles, and you're gonna see uh Whitehouse unveils America's AI Action Plan.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: We're exporting American AI, we're promoting rapid build-out of data centers, enabling innovation and adoption, and upholding free speech in frontier models.
- 6:09SPEAKER_01: So you can go read this.
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: Here's the actual white paper.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: You can go and download this white paper, should you choose, and read through it.
- 6:19SPEAKER_01: But I think the big part here for um you, my audience, the folks that are um businesses wanting to go, all right.
- 6:31SPEAKER_01: So here's what we're working with.
- 6:33SPEAKER_01: How do we position?
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: And the big point in here, I'm looking for it.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: Well, let's hop over.
- 6:51SPEAKER_01: We'll hop over here.
- 6:53SPEAKER_01: Okay, so this is I use a tool called Notebook LM by Google.
- 6:57SPEAKER_01: It's free.
- 6:58SPEAKER_01: You can just go to notebook lm.google.com and you can do the exact same thing.
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: And uh what you do is you take that white paper and you you can come and upload it and add it in here, and then quickly it's going to um it's going to digest this document, and it's gonna pop out um a study guide, a briefing document.
- 7:26SPEAKER_01: You can uh set up an FAQ, etc.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: But what I love about it is it creates what's called a um mind map.
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: And so here's the basics of this, of this document that we're we're looking at here.
- 7:44SPEAKER_01: Here's the breakdown of what's going on.
- 7:51SPEAKER_01: So, in essence, we're positioning for global AI dominance.
- 7:57SPEAKER_01: The benefits are going to be human flourishing, economic competitiveness, national security.
- 8:04SPEAKER_01: It's got the potential of this industrial revolution or the information revolution.
- 8:10SPEAKER_01: This is the AI revolution, and so the three pillars of this plan is the innovation, infrastructure, and international diplomacy and security, cross-cutting um potentials.
- 8:25SPEAKER_01: And here's the point I want to focus on is the worker first AI agenda agenda and the roadmap to victory.
- 8:42SPEAKER_01: So the to accelerate this, we have to have a lot of uh think about think about um AI as a car.
- 8:54SPEAKER_01: It needs roads to go anywhere.
- 8:57SPEAKER_01: And the this plan is investing heavily in America's digital roads, power grids, and data centers.
- 9:04SPEAKER_01: And for you, this means that the AI tools that you rely on for sales, inventory, and operations would become faster, better, more reliable, and cheaper.
- 9:14SPEAKER_01: And um, I think the big thing here is the streamlining the permitting and energy build-outs.
- 9:21SPEAKER_01: Did you know?
- 9:23SPEAKER_01: You know, if you wanted to uh let's just say that one day you woke up and go, hey, I want to I want to build a nuclear reactor.
- 9:30SPEAKER_01: Well, assuming you had everything in place, funding uh expertise, it would take you about 20 years to even get uh to the finish line, and you're still not gonna know in 20 years, and you may be in a different mood in 20 years from now, right?
- 9:46SPEAKER_01: And you may not want to build it.
- 9:48SPEAKER_01: But these things, and I'm not saying you're gonna get a reactor in six to twelve months, but what I'm saying is that there's been a um an environment of extreme headwinds for any innovation or any uh new thinking as far as um energy technology.
- 10:09SPEAKER_01: It's it's crazy, and all of this is being um it's being removed.
- 10:17SPEAKER_01: And uh ultimately for you means faster, cheaper tools that help you compete with the big players.
- 10:27SPEAKER_01: When we're in here, the uh empower American workers in the age of AI.
- 10:33SPEAKER_01: This is huge.
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: To expect that companies that just started to be uh um think about AI, or maybe you're just starting to use it, but to expect a company to widely adopt it and that the owner of the company or the leader of the company um is going to lead this change and implementation, then they would need to be very AI strong.
- 11:00SPEAKER_01: They need to be very AI um uh friendly, and most are because it's so new, and it takes time to to get to that point.
- 11:09SPEAKER_01: And and so for you to have confidence to lead AI adoption in your uh organization, you need to spend some time with it.
- 11:19SPEAKER_01: And you know, I've been working in this uh uh with this tool for over four years, and it's it just takes time because in your head you still you start thinking differently how you approach problems, and it's just a process of change.
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: And so what I really like about this plan, and what's exciting is um the the um where's my presentation here?
- 11:47SPEAKER_01: It's clear to them that you're gonna need team training and adoption, and you're gonna need to research and develop uh and do development on the different software or um um models that you want to adopt in your organization.
- 12:06SPEAKER_01: And this is significant, and so they're already preparing that it's gonna reward you for research and development, and it's gonna reward you for training your team and adopting.
- 12:19SPEAKER_01: Obviously, you're gonna have to bring in experts such as myself or others to teach your team on how to adopt and how to think about it, and it's a step-by-step and it takes time, and there's an investment here.
- 12:32SPEAKER_01: And so, this is the groundwork is already laid here to incentivize you to not, you know, to get past this particular hurdle.
- 12:44SPEAKER_01: And so we're empowering the workers in the age of AI.
- 12:49SPEAKER_01: Um, so you're gonna have clarity.
- 12:51SPEAKER_01: You're gonna have clarity with uh tax-free reimbursement for AI training, establish a workforce research hub.
- 12:59SPEAKER_01: You know, we're gonna have a lot of workers that are going to be uh can go and re find a um a new career and helping companies such as yours to uh flourish in the age of AI.
- 13:21SPEAKER_01: What I like again, um they're they're streamlining the permitting, they're developing a grid to match the AI pace, the uh electrical grid.
- 13:33SPEAKER_01: This is huge.
- 13:35SPEAKER_01: You know, companies will be uh um in my last episode, we talked about that there's a already in motion, if not uh already being built, but soon to be built with between now and 20 uh 29, over 750 of these major um data centers that are AI data centers, much like um Elon Musk's um data center in Memphis, or the Stargate outside of uh Abilene, Texas, or the one that they're building outside of my hometown, Amarillo, Texas.
- 14:15SPEAKER_01: And these are these are significant uh investments, billions of dollars, and over 750 are already in motion.
- 14:26SPEAKER_01: And so the grid, the electrical grid, is not in place to um uh provide electricity to all these uh electricity hungry um developments, and so to be able to um become your own energy power provider and at these data centers is huge.
- 14:48SPEAKER_01: And again, it's gonna have all sorts of opportunities.
- 14:51SPEAKER_01: There will be services and products that you're gonna be able to provide to uh all this infrastructure build-out to uh vendors.
- 15:02SPEAKER_01: It's there's gonna be things that you're doing, will be doing that you're not doing now, and that's exciting.
- 15:09SPEAKER_01: But the your workforce, again, it's already the rails are already being laid on how to identify high priority AI infrastructure occupations, support industry-driven training programs, expand early career exposure programs, your CTE programs for AI infrastructure, apprenticeships, um, yeah, research and training.
- 15:34SPEAKER_01: So this is this is really um excellent.
- 15:43SPEAKER_01: You know, your your potential savings in uh being able to, you know, they're they're removing this barrier of uh concern or unknown on all right, I know I need to do this, but where do I start and what's this gonna cost?
- 15:58SPEAKER_01: And so that that's they're already way ahead.
- 16:02SPEAKER_01: They're laying, they're just laying the rails for you to adopt this.
- 16:06SPEAKER_01: And that's you know, that's my main message here is that um what you need to do today to start being prepared, because look, this is this is in the next six to twelve months.
- 16:21SPEAKER_01: You're the landscape's gonna change so fast, and an early adopter such as yourself is gonna you're gonna have a significant advantage.
- 16:32SPEAKER_01: You know, and you in a year, AI could be as big as uh in common as email.
- 16:38SPEAKER_01: And being the business that's already comfortable with these tools is is going to be a matter of whether you're gonna be in business or not in business, whether you're gonna be your competitor is going to be uh years ahead of you or not.
- 16:55SPEAKER_01: All of your customers are interfacing with AI environments, and they're going to expect you to do the same.
- 17:05SPEAKER_01: Just like social media trained us to expect that all the companies that we uh uh do business with, we go to their social media accounts to learn, investigate, and just like that.
- 17:17SPEAKER_01: This is the next, this is user experience, this is um how you become more efficient.
- 17:26SPEAKER_01: This is how you up-level your team.
- 17:30SPEAKER_01: And so start small, you don't have to do a big overhaul, but hey, get in there and start getting comfortable with Chat GPT, and then start to have classes with your team.
- 17:42SPEAKER_01: And if you need help on that, that's what I do.
- 17:46SPEAKER_01: Then figure out how you can take advantage of this research and development.
- 17:52SPEAKER_01: And truthfully, your accountant, they're in the dark about this.
- 17:56SPEAKER_01: They're thinking about your accountant.
- 17:58SPEAKER_01: You know, they're they're not your uh they're not looking out running ahead, wondering about new things that you can consider.
- 18:06SPEAKER_01: They're trying to keep you compliant, they're focused on old rules.
- 18:10SPEAKER_01: So you're gonna have to you're gonna have to find an accountant that's up with the times and can answer your questions.
- 18:18SPEAKER_01: Obviously, you can go to a tool like rock and begin to get a lot of your preliminary questions figured out.
- 18:26SPEAKER_01: You can you can use your uh um chat models to do a bunch of your research and prepare you for your conference your conversation with your tax accountant because you and I know that they're fighting fires and they're not out doing all of this investigation.
- 18:45SPEAKER_01: They may attend a conference or two, but we've got six to twelve months to really get positioned confidently.
- 18:51SPEAKER_01: We can't expect them to be up to speed yet.
- 18:54SPEAKER_01: So you're gonna have to show up prepared with documents and with your research done and help them along, and then train your team.
- 19:05SPEAKER_01: Some of it's gonna be free, but you're gonna have to find someone that you trust that understands your business, understands your work style, and helps you implement um this artificial intelligence.
- 19:18SPEAKER_01: But um writing's on the wall, it's happening, and um, in this case, it seems to be that our administration is trying to is thinking about new small business first.
- 19:34SPEAKER_01: Usually all of this uplap um uplift goes to the big companies, and uh Main Street, you know, the Wall Street companies, they're they're all set, and the Main Street companies they're left with uh uh to try to figure it out a year or two later.
- 19:52SPEAKER_01: But this is the opposite.
- 19:54SPEAKER_01: All of these rails are being laid so that Main Street can participate and be prepared because truthfully, with all of this infrastructure built out and all of these companies out, and the tariffs are bringing all of this opportunity, and the tariffs are opening up markets for all these products.
- 20:13SPEAKER_01: And truthfully, you know that in the US, 50% of the uh businesses in the US um 50% of the folks that work in the US are employed by companies that have 20 or less employees.
- 20:34SPEAKER_01: And the truth is the segment, small business, has to be prepared because they're going to be expected to pull a lot of weight in this new economy.
- 20:49SPEAKER_01: And it's on you, it's on you to be prepared as a leader in your organization, it's on you to learn about this and figure it out.
- 21:01SPEAKER_01: So there you go.
- 21:02SPEAKER_01: All the everything's ready, it's coming.
- 21:06SPEAKER_01: You got the tools, you've got folks like me that are helping you drop and implement this.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: You've got um, you've got these um um incentives that are in place, and you're in a different position now than you were a year ago.
- 21:27SPEAKER_01: You can show up with research, you don't have to be in the dark and be uh dependent upon your accountant.
- 21:33SPEAKER_01: You can do the research and show up and help them along because they're gonna need a little help.
- 21:39SPEAKER_01: Everybody does.
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: All right, so if you want to learn more about us, you can go to roionline.com.
- 21:48SPEAKER_01: You can reach out, you can schedule the time.
- 21:51SPEAKER_01: I'm happy to talk with you and um answer your questions, and uh maybe we can get a clip.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Session in place, maybe we can get a little plan on how you can start adopting AI and being that business owner, that leader that you want to be, you got to clearly communicate.
- 22:14SPEAKER_01: Gotta have a plan.
- 22:15SPEAKER_01: This tool's here, that these tools can help you excel, succeed.
- 22:22SPEAKER_01: I'm Steve Brown.
