- 0:06Speaker 1: Good afternoon, everybody. Good to see you all. Since inauguration Day,
- 0:11Speaker 1: President Trump has secured trillions of dollars in private and
- 0:15Speaker 1: foreign investments. Every single day, more money is pouring into
- 0:20Speaker 1: our country, which will create more jobs for hardworking Americans. Today,
- 0:25Speaker 1: Schneider Electric pledged to invest more than seven hundred million
- 0:28Speaker 1: dollars in the United States to boost American energy, infrastructure
- 0:33Speaker 1: and AI. On Monday, Hyundai announced a twenty billion dollar
- 0:37Speaker 1: investment in the United States, including five point eight billion
- 0:41Speaker 1: dollars for a new steal plant in Louisiana, which will
- 0:44Speaker 1: create nearly fifteen hundred high paying jobs. President Trump is
- 0:48Speaker 1: truly turning America back into a manufacturing superpower. Yesterday, President
- 0:54Speaker 1: Trump marked National Medal of Honor Day by meeting with
- 0:57Speaker 1: twenty one of our nation's bravest hero and incredible patriots
- 1:01Speaker 1: who have been awarded the highest military honor Beautiful Picture.
- 1:06Speaker 1: The President also signed a historic executive order to protect
- 1:09Speaker 1: the integrity of American elections by strengthening voter citizenship verification
- 1:14Speaker 1: and banning foreign nationals from interfering in US elections. These
- 1:19Speaker 1: are the common sense solutions that only Democrats could oppose,
- 1:23Speaker 1: but voters deserve elections they can trust, and critical confidence
- 1:27Speaker 1: is being restored thanks to President Trump's leadership. Later this
- 1:31Speaker 1: afternoon in the Easter Room, President Trump will mark Women's
- 1:34Speaker 1: History Month by honoring the exceptional women around our country,
- 1:38Speaker 1: including the highly talented women in his administration and his cabinet.
- 1:43Speaker 1: And on an additional scheduling update, the President will hold
- 1:45Speaker 1: a press conference in the Oval Office today at four
- 1:48Speaker 1: o'clock PM to announce tariffs on the auto industry, and
- 1:52Speaker 1: I will leave that to him to make that announcement later. Unfortunately,
- 1:56Speaker 1: all of this good is happening for our country. This
- 1:59Speaker 1: administration is working hard on behalf of the American public
- 2:02Speaker 1: every day, but the mainstream media continues to be focused
- 2:06Speaker 1: on a sensationalized story from the failing Atlantic magazine that
- 2:10Speaker 1: is falling apart by the hour. Here are the facts.
- 2:14Speaker 1: The National Security Advisor has taken responsibility for this matter,
- 2:18Speaker 1: and the National Security a Council immediately said, alongside the
- 2:22Speaker 1: White House Council's Office, that they are looking into how
- 2:26Speaker 1: a reporter's number was inadvertently added to this messaging thread.
- 2:30Speaker 1: We have said all along that no classified material was
- 2:34Speaker 1: sent on this messaging thread. There were no locations, no
- 2:37Speaker 1: sources or methods revealed, and there were certainly no war
- 2:41Speaker 1: plans discussed. The Atlantic has even admitted this themselves. Their
- 2:46Speaker 1: release of these internal messages validates the truth which we
- 2:49Speaker 1: have been saying all along. If this story proves anything,
- 2:54Speaker 1: it proves that Democrats and their propagandists in the mainstream
- 2:57Speaker 1: media know how to fabricate or orchestrate and disseminate a
- 3:01Speaker 1: misinformation campaign quite well. And there's arguably no one in
- 3:05Speaker 1: the media who loves manufacturing and pushing hoaxes more than
- 3:09Speaker 1: Jeffrey Goldberg. Goldberg is an anti Trump hater. He is
- 3:13Speaker 1: a registered Democrat. Goldberg's wife is also a registered Democrat
- 3:18Speaker 1: and a big Democrat donor who used to work under
- 3:21Speaker 1: who Hillary Clinton. This is the same Jeffrey Goldberg who
- 3:25Speaker 1: infamously lied about weapons of mass destruction to get us
- 3:28Speaker 1: into the Iraq War, which cost trillions of dollars in
- 3:31Speaker 1: thousands of American soldiers. And how else has Goldberg discredited
- 3:35Speaker 1: himself by absurdly claiming that President Trump was Vladimir Putin
- 3:40Speaker 1: during the twenty sixteen campaign by peddling the Russia Russia
- 3:44Speaker 1: Russia hoax that tried to hijack President Trump's first term
- 3:47Speaker 1: by inventing the Suckers and losers hopes to help Joe
- 3:50Speaker 1: Biden in the twenty twenty election by peddling a hoax
- 3:54Speaker 1: about President Trump involving gold Star families to help Kamala
- 3:57Speaker 1: Harris in the twenty twenty four election, which our campaign
- 4:01Speaker 1: at the time vigorously denied. Jeffrey Goldberg didn't care. There's more,
- 4:06Speaker 1: but we don't have all day, and we can now
- 4:08Speaker 1: add this signal hoax to this very long list. The
- 4:12Speaker 1: real story here is the overwhelming success of President Trump's
- 4:16Speaker 1: decisive military action against Houthy terrorists. On March fifteenth, President
- 4:21Speaker 1: Trump ordered a series of military operations against the terrorists
- 4:25Speaker 1: toothis to defend US shipping assets in the Red Sea,
- 4:29Speaker 1: restore freedom of navigation for international shipping, and defend the
- 4:33Speaker 1: United States from enemy threats. United States forces successfully struck
- 4:38Speaker 1: dozens of targets across Huthy controlled territory, and as a
- 4:43Speaker 1: result of these actions, several Houthy leaders were killed, including
- 4:46Speaker 1: the Houthy drone chief, his deputy, and several of their
- 4:50Speaker 1: jone experts and other key leaders. We also destroyed command
- 4:54Speaker 1: and controlled facilities weapons manufacturing facilities and advanced weapons storage locations.
- 5:00Speaker 1: And it's important to remember why this powerful action took
- 5:03Speaker 1: place in the first place. Because of Joe Biden's incompetence
- 5:07Speaker 1: and pathetic weakness on the world stage. Four years, the
- 5:11Speaker 1: Houthy terrorists grew emboldened. Immediately after taking office, in twenty
- 5:15Speaker 1: twenty one, Joe Biden removed the iron backed Hoothis from
- 5:19Speaker 1: the Foreign Terrorist Organization in specifically designated Global Terrorists list.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Did anybody in this room ask the Bided administration at
- 5:27Speaker 1: the time why they made such a stupid mistake. This
- 5:30Speaker 1: reckless action undid the designation put in place by President
- 5:34Speaker 1: Trump during his first term, and what followed was predictable
- 5:38Speaker 1: in devastating. The Houthis targeted US military ships and aircraft,
- 5:42Speaker 1: hit commercial ships including US flagged vessels, threatened our personnel overseas,
- 5:47Speaker 1: and attacked our allies in the region. This resulted in
- 5:51Speaker 1: more than a year of US flagged commercial ships being
- 5:54Speaker 1: prevented from safely sailing through the Suez Canal, the Red Sea,
- 5:58Speaker 1: and the Gulf of Aden. This had a massive negative
- 6:01Speaker 1: impact on global trade of the economic security of the
- 6:04Speaker 1: United States. Joe Biden was the commander in chief, and
- 6:08Speaker 1: he sat on his hands while the United States of
- 6:11Speaker 1: America was bullied and embarrassed by terrorists. President Trump and
- 6:16Speaker 1: his team are putting a stop to these threats in
- 6:18Speaker 1: restoring American strength around the world. The Trump peace through
- 6:22Speaker 1: Strength approach means no terrorist force will stop American commercial
- 6:27Speaker 1: and naval vessels from freely sailing the waterways of the world.
- 6:31Speaker 1: But unfortunately, this is not what the Democrats in the
- 6:34Speaker 1: media want to talk about. They are focused on a
- 6:36Speaker 1: coordinated campaign to try and sow chaos in this White House.
- 6:41Speaker 1: And this has been the most successful first two months
- 6:44Speaker 1: of any administration ever, which is exactly why they are
- 6:47Speaker 1: doing this. We are not going to bend in the
- 6:49Speaker 1: face of this insincere outrage. And here's just one example
- 6:53Speaker 1: of how bad faith the Democrat's criticisms are. Democrat Senator
- 6:57Speaker 1: Mark Warner is hysterical over the year use of Signal,
- 7:01Speaker 1: which is an approved decryptid app in the killing of
- 7:03Speaker 1: houthy terrorists. But Senator Warner himself used Signal to work
- 7:08Speaker 1: with a lobbyist for a Russian oligarch to connect with
- 7:10Speaker 1: it to connect the disgraced Steele dossier author who started
- 7:16Speaker 1: the Russia hoax, which Jeffrey Goldberg later reported on how ironic.
- 7:20Speaker 1: We're not going to lose focus of the bottom line,
- 7:23Speaker 1: which is that Joe Biden's weakness enabled and emboldened hoothy terrorists,
- 7:27Speaker 1: and President Trump's strength and resolve eliminated those terrorists. Here
- 7:32Speaker 1: in our new media seat today, we have Lindsay Keith.
- 7:34Speaker 1: She is the managing editor for Merit TV and serves
- 7:37Speaker 1: as their White House correspondent. Merrit TV launched one year
- 7:41Speaker 1: ago and creates and distributes content across diverse platforms. We're
- 7:45Speaker 1: glad to have you with us, Lindsay. Please kick us off.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Thank you, Carolyn.
- 7:48Speaker 3: I appreciate it and this opportunity for Merit TV.
- 7:51Speaker 4: Two questions, if I may, one on Signal, one on
- 7:54Speaker 4: the economy.
- 7:55Speaker 1: On signal how comfortable is the president with what was
- 7:59Speaker 1: shared so far? Now that the chain has been released,
- 8:02Speaker 1: the President's view on all of this remains the same
- 8:06Speaker 1: today as it did yesterday, And I think it speaks
- 8:09Speaker 1: volumes about the leadership of this president that he went
- 8:11Speaker 1: directly to all of you members of the press corps.
- 8:14Speaker 1: He was asked, do you want someone else to go
- 8:16Speaker 1: out and do a briefing, and he said, no, I
- 8:18Speaker 1: will tackle this story. I will discuss it. The people
- 8:21Speaker 1: need to hear from me about this situation. And so
- 8:24Speaker 1: his thoughts on this remained the same today, plays great
- 8:28Speaker 1: trust in his national security team. And as for the
- 8:31Speaker 1: usage of signal, as the President said yesterday, as the
- 8:34Speaker 1: CIA director has testified under oath, this is an approved app.
- 8:38Speaker 1: It's an encrypted app. The Department of Defense, the Department
- 8:41Speaker 1: of State, the CIA has it loaded onto government phones
- 8:44Speaker 1: because it is the most secure and efficient way to communicate.
- 8:48Speaker 1: As for again the original situation in this messaging thread,
- 8:51Speaker 1: the National Security Council, the White House Counsel's Office continues
- 8:54Speaker 1: to look in to how this mistake, which the National
- 8:57Speaker 1: Security Advisor has owned, occurred, and the President has ensured
- 9:01Speaker 1: they are doing that.
- 9:02Speaker 5: On the economy, super confidence hit a four year low
- 9:05Speaker 5: this month.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Can you help explain to the American people how tariffs
- 9:10Speaker 1: will help them in the long run. Yeah, absolutely, and
- 9:12Speaker 1: I'm grateful for the question. The American public will hear
- 9:15Speaker 1: later to this afternoon from the President directly on the
- 9:18Speaker 1: topic of tariffs. And as you all know, April second day,
- 9:21Speaker 1: President Trump has proudly dubbed it Liberation Day for our country.
- 9:26Speaker 1: What he means by that is it will be a
- 9:28Speaker 1: day where the United States of America will no longer
- 9:30Speaker 1: be ripped off by nations around this world. It will
- 9:33Speaker 1: be a day where Americans finally see free and fair
- 9:36Speaker 1: trade practices restored. We are no longer going to allow
- 9:40Speaker 1: our allies, our competitors, and our adversaries to take advantage
- 9:43Speaker 1: of American workers. And if you think about your hometown
- 9:46Speaker 1: in the state that you grew up, main Street looks
- 9:49Speaker 1: a lot different today than it did many years ago.
- 9:52Speaker 1: And President Trump wants to restore America as a manufacturing
- 9:55Speaker 1: superpower around the globe. He wants products to be made
- 9:58Speaker 1: right here in the in our great country with great,
- 10:01Speaker 1: hardworking American hands that will ultimately result in higher wages
- 10:06Speaker 1: and more money in the pockets of the American people.
- 10:09Speaker 1: And he's also, in addition to tariffs, also determined to
- 10:13Speaker 1: pass tax cuts later this year, as he did successfully
- 10:15Speaker 1: in his first term, to put even more money back
- 10:18Speaker 1: into the pockets of hardworking Americans.
- 10:20Speaker 6: Peter Cher laugh, I can ask you very quickly about
- 10:22Speaker 6: the information we've seen, just to set the predicate to
- 10:25Speaker 6: all this. Has the President been briefed and physically seen
- 10:28Speaker 6: the He's seen all the details of the chat as
- 10:30Speaker 6: printed by the olier.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I just spoke to the president about it.
- 10:33Speaker 7: Yes, then let me ask you if I can very
- 10:34Speaker 7: quickly in the chat, Pete heggs at the Defense Secretary
- 10:38Speaker 7: details AT eighteen's tomahawks with some of the weapons that
- 10:41Speaker 7: were used. He details the timing involved for this, all
- 10:45Speaker 7: of which occurred thirty one minutes before, as he says,
- 10:48Speaker 7: AT eighteens would launch. The DoD manual details classified information
- 10:53Speaker 7: as significant military plans, saying that is secret, that that's classified.
- 10:57Speaker 7: So what about there are no methods, there are no sources,
- 11:01Speaker 7: But that's not what determines what's classified. So what is
- 11:05Speaker 7: it about what Pete Hegseth wrote that makes you say
- 11:07Speaker 7: this is not classified.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Well, it's not just me saying that, Peter, it's the
- 11:10Speaker 1: Secretary of Defense himself who is saying this as well.
- 11:14Speaker 1: And he put out a very strong statement earlier today
- 11:17Speaker 1: listing all of the things that were not included in
- 11:20Speaker 1: that message that he sent to the group. And again
- 11:22Speaker 1: this message, there was no classified information transmitted, there were
- 11:25Speaker 1: no war plans discussed. Why did the Atlantic downgrade their
- 11:30Speaker 1: allegation about war plans to attack plans. They're now playing
- 11:33Speaker 1: word games because they know this was sensationalist spin from
- 11:37Speaker 1: a reporter who is well known for doing this. We
- 11:39Speaker 1: have said all along, no war plans were discussed, no
- 11:41Speaker 1: classified material was sent. You have the Secretary of Defense
- 11:44Speaker 1: saying that, you have the director of the CIA, the
- 11:47Speaker 1: Director of National Intelligence, the FBI director all testifying to
- 11:50Speaker 1: that under oath, and they should be trusted with that.
- 11:53Speaker 7: So nuclear Americans can make the decision for themselves. But
- 11:55Speaker 7: whether it's that you said, you said it's not war plans,
- 11:59Speaker 7: would you characterize these as military plans military operation plans?
- 12:05Speaker 1: I would characterize this messaging thread as a policy discussion,
- 12:09Speaker 1: a sensitive policy discussion, surely amongst high level cabinet officials
- 12:13Speaker 1: and senior staff. And I'm so glad, Peter that you
- 12:16Speaker 1: said the American public can decide for themselves, because I
- 12:19Speaker 1: think the American public should decide them for themselves based
- 12:21Speaker 1: on the outcome of this operation and what happened in
- 12:24Speaker 1: this operation. Terrorists that were allowed to run wild by
- 12:28Speaker 1: the Biden administration were killed because of the direction in
- 12:31Speaker 1: the determination of this president and his team. And this
- 12:35Speaker 1: message also shows. This messaging thread also proved that President
- 12:39Speaker 1: Trump has an incredibly dynamic team who is working incredibly hard,
- 12:43Speaker 1: flying all over the world to secure world peace and
- 12:47Speaker 1: to fix up the foreign policy crises that the previous
- 12:50Speaker 1: administration left for this team to inherit.
- 12:53Speaker 7: So to be clear, we all in this room and
- 12:54Speaker 7: around the country would agree that we're glad no American
- 12:56Speaker 7: service members were harmed, and we're glad that the mission
- 12:59Speaker 7: was a success.
- 13:00Speaker 6: We'll stipulate that.
- 13:01Speaker 7: But the President said that Pete Hegseth said none of
- 13:03Speaker 7: this was classified. So, given the President has seen it now,
- 13:06Speaker 7: and given the President understands that significant military plans are
- 13:10Speaker 7: deemed classified as secret, how does the president view none
- 13:14Speaker 7: of this, which details times and weapons and more, as
- 13:18Speaker 7: being not classified.
- 13:20Speaker 1: I've already been asked and answered this question. The President's
- 13:23Speaker 1: thoughts on this remained the same today as they were yesterday,
- 13:27Speaker 1: as well as the Secretary of Defense. This question has
- 13:30Speaker 1: been asked and answered. There was no classified material. Discussig jackets.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Go ahead, jackiety you Caroline, So.
- 13:38Speaker 5: Why aren't launch times on a mission strength classified?
- 13:42Speaker 1: Again? I would defer you to the Secretary of Defense's
- 13:45Speaker 1: statement he put out this morning there were various reasons.
- 13:47Speaker 1: He listed things that were not included in that messaging
- 13:50Speaker 1: thread that were not classified. And again going back to
- 13:53Speaker 1: the American public, do you trust the Secretary of Defense,
- 13:56Speaker 1: who was nominated for this role, voted by the United
- 13:58Speaker 1: States Senate into this role, who has served in combat,
- 14:01Speaker 1: honorably served our nation in uniform, or do you trust
- 14:04Speaker 1: Jeffrey Goldberg, who is a registered Democrat and an anti
- 14:07Speaker 1: Trump sensationalist reporter. This president and this national security team
- 14:11Speaker 1: are putting our national security and the American people first.
- 14:15Speaker 1: We are restoring American strength around the world, and the
- 14:18Speaker 1: results of this operation speak for themselves.
- 14:20Speaker 5: So what I get touch Jeffrey Goldberg, though, just you know,
- 14:23Speaker 5: for American service members who are going to have to
- 14:25Speaker 5: carry out these missions in the future. What I guess
- 14:29Speaker 5: the message that's coming from the response to all this
- 14:32Speaker 5: that we're hearing is that, you know, nothing sensitive happened.
- 14:36Speaker 5: And I guess the logical conclusion of that is that
- 14:39Speaker 5: if these messages had gone out publicly prior to the launch,
- 14:45Speaker 5: that that wouldn't have been a risk to service members.
- 14:47Speaker 5: I don't know that they're comfortable with that, So can
- 14:49Speaker 5: you explain, you know, had these messages been published, would.
- 14:55Speaker 1: The plans have moved forward? Would the launch have still
- 14:58Speaker 1: taken off? What I can tell you is that the President,
- 15:00Speaker 1: as the Commander in chief of our United States Armed Forces,
- 15:03Speaker 1: and Secretary Pete Hegseth, who is an incredible man and
- 15:07Speaker 1: a war fighter himself, take the lives of our American
- 15:10Speaker 1: service members with the utmost responsibility, and they would never
- 15:14Speaker 1: do anything intentionally to put their lives at risk. And again,
- 15:20Speaker 1: they are working hard on that every single day, and
- 15:22Speaker 1: we are protecting our service members while also restoring peace
- 15:26Speaker 1: throughout this globe. It's something the previous administration has not done.
- 15:30Speaker 1: And I would just add one more point. We are
- 15:33Speaker 1: not going to be lectured about national security and American
- 15:37Speaker 1: troops by Democrats in the mainstream media who turned the
- 15:40Speaker 1: other cheek when the Biden administration, because of their incompetence,
- 15:44Speaker 1: left thirteen service members dead in Afghanistan, and not a
- 15:48Speaker 1: single person in the previous administration was held accountable for
- 15:51Speaker 1: that botched withdrawal. Joe Biden said, in fact, it was
- 15:55Speaker 1: a great operation that is despicable. It's unacceptable to this president,
- 15:59Speaker 1: in this Secretary of Defense, the National Security Advisor has
- 16:02Speaker 1: taken responsibility for this inadvertent number being added to the
- 16:05Speaker 1: messaging thread. But above all, we take the lives of
- 16:08Speaker 1: our troops, safety, security, prosperity around the globe with the
- 16:12Speaker 1: utmost seriously, Solberg's.
- 16:14Speaker 5: Do you believe Jennifer released that to embarrass the administration
- 16:17Speaker 5: ahead of the worldwide threats?
- 16:18Speaker 1: Jennifer, go ahead.
- 16:19Speaker 8: Given what you've said about the President's trust and his
- 16:23Speaker 8: national security team, can you say definitively that no one
- 16:26Speaker 8: will lose their jobs, No one will lose their job
- 16:29Speaker 8: at all because of this signal situation.
- 16:30Speaker 1: What I can say definitively is what I just spoke
- 16:33Speaker 1: to the President about, and he continues to have confidence
- 16:35Speaker 1: in his national security team.
- 16:38Speaker 8: That's one work here on the targets and Yemen on
- 16:42Speaker 8: March fifteen, Can you say we're one hundred percent of
- 16:45Speaker 8: the targets that were planned for March fifteenth?
- 16:48Speaker 2: Were they all destroyed?
- 16:49Speaker 8: Because that would be an indication if some of them were.
- 16:52Speaker 9: Moved, but they were not all hit that maybe perhaps
- 16:54Speaker 9: some of the enemies were able to get some of
- 16:57Speaker 9: the information in that singles.
- 16:58Speaker 1: What I can say about the operation is what the
- 17:00Speaker 1: Department of Defense has put out there I would refer
- 17:02Speaker 1: to them for any further operational details, but there have
- 17:06Speaker 1: been more than one hundred strikes conducted against Toothy targets
- 17:10Speaker 1: and they have hit key Hoothy leaders, air defense systems,
- 17:14Speaker 1: commanding control nodes, headquarters, weapons manufacturing and storage facilities. And
- 17:19Speaker 1: these operations will continue until the freedom of navigation in
- 17:23Speaker 1: our seas is restored and US shipping can safely transmit
- 17:26Speaker 1: without the fear of attack. And again, we believe that
- 17:29Speaker 1: this has been a very successful operation thus far, and
- 17:32Speaker 1: it will continue until this administration feels it no longer
- 17:35Speaker 1: has to. And these terrorists have been taking out which
- 17:37Speaker 1: again is something the previous administration should have done, but
- 17:40Speaker 1: they didn't, and now we've inherited this crisis. Steven, I'd
- 17:44Speaker 1: like to.
- 17:45Speaker 10: Clarify something about the investigation and also asking about some
- 17:48Speaker 10: conservative commentary on the investigation. Mike Waltz said last night
- 17:52Speaker 10: that he had spoken to Elon Musk about figuring out
- 17:55Speaker 10: how Jeffrey Goldbroup's number got.
- 17:56Speaker 4: In his phone.
- 17:57Speaker 10: You mentioned the NSC and the White House Council's Office investigating.
- 18:01Speaker 10: You just clarify who is investigating, who's leading that, And
- 18:04Speaker 10: also Dave Portnoy who endorsed the President Trump said today
- 18:09Speaker 10: that he thinks that Mike Waltz should leave.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Could you respond to that? Sure, great respect for Dave Portnoy,
- 18:16Speaker 1: but I just answered that previous question from Jennifer. As
- 18:20Speaker 1: for your original question about who's leading looking into the
- 18:24Speaker 1: messaging thread, the National Security Council, the White House Counsel's Office,
- 18:28Speaker 1: and also, yes, Elon Musk's team. Elon Musk has offered
- 18:31Speaker 1: to put his technical experts on this to figure out
- 18:34Speaker 1: how this number was inadvertently added to the chat again,
- 18:37Speaker 1: to take responsibility and ensure this can never happen again.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I have two questions.
- 18:41Speaker 2: One not a follow up on something you just said,
- 18:43Speaker 2: but since we have these messages released and you said
- 18:46Speaker 2: that the President has now personally reviewed them at the chat.
- 18:50Speaker 2: At one point, Pete I said, wrote fourteen fifteen strike
- 18:53Speaker 2: drones on target and in all caps, he said, this
- 18:55Speaker 2: is when the first bombs will definitely drop. Does the
- 18:59Speaker 2: President few that he was misled by his national security
- 19:02Speaker 2: advisors whoever it was that told him there was no
- 19:04Speaker 2: classified information in there, Now that he's seen these messages, I've.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Now been asked and answer this question three times by
- 19:10Speaker 1: the both of you, and I've given you my answer.
- 19:12Speaker 1: The President feels the same today as he did yesterday.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Phil I'm sorry, I might follow up on what you
- 19:16Speaker 1: would go ahead, Philip, Kaitlyn, I'm not taking your follow.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Up, Philip, I have a followed on something you just said, though, Caroline,
- 19:21Speaker 2: that's Caitlin.
- 19:22Speaker 1: I'm not taking your follow up, Philip, go ahead, I
- 19:25Speaker 1: have called on you.
- 19:26Speaker 3: The Vice President seemed to express some frustration that Europe
- 19:28Speaker 3: wasn't doing more police waterways in their backyard, noting in
- 19:32Speaker 3: the signal thread that of European trade goes.
- 19:35Speaker 10: Through the US.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Now does the President share that opinion and frustration, and
- 19:40Speaker 3: then going forward, should the Europeans be responsible for policing
- 19:44Speaker 3: that waterway?
- 19:45Speaker 1: Well, the President was asked this question yesterday by the
- 19:47Speaker 1: pool in the Cabinet room, and he answered this question.
- 19:50Speaker 1: He said, yes, he believes that Europe has been, as
- 19:54Speaker 1: the Vice President put it, free loading on the backs
- 19:56Speaker 1: of American taxpayers and on the off the backs of
- 19:59Speaker 1: the United States of America, and he wants to ensure
- 20:01Speaker 1: that Europe pays their fair share. He's always been very
- 20:04Speaker 1: honest and upfront about that, and I think the Vice
- 20:06Speaker 1: President shares those concerns with him as well.
- 20:09Speaker 3: Sure you know enlisted soldiers, sailors, and marines would face
- 20:15Speaker 3: consequences if they shared this type of information inadvertently with
- 20:20Speaker 3: a reporter. Can you tell us more why the president
- 20:23Speaker 3: is so willing to give Mike Waltz I'm all again
- 20:26Speaker 3: here again.
- 20:27Speaker 1: I have now been asked and answered the same question
- 20:29Speaker 1: using different language multiple times. If anybody has another question,
- 20:33Speaker 1: There's a lot of different things going on in the world.
- 20:35Speaker 1: We have tariffs possibly being implemented later today. The President
- 20:39Speaker 1: is going to talk about that at four o'clock this afternoon.
- 20:43Speaker 4: We're going okay, thank you for taking my question. I
- 20:45Speaker 4: wanted to first and foremost think the Administration for the
- 20:47Speaker 4: Election Integrity Executive Order, because so many journalists for four
- 20:51Speaker 4: years were banned from talking about this very subject. So
- 20:54Speaker 4: thank you to the administration for that. My question is
- 20:57Speaker 4: yesterday's President Trumplin sign and the order said that there
- 20:59Speaker 4: was more to calm when it comes to election integrity
- 21:02Speaker 4: with that include same day voting and hand counted paper ballots.
- 21:07Speaker 4: And why are Democrats so against election integrity measures like
- 21:13Speaker 4: obviously group of citizenship when it comes to voting in
- 21:16Speaker 4: a United States election?
- 21:17Speaker 1: Well, it's a very good question. You'll have to ask
- 21:19Speaker 1: the Democrats why they are against so many common sense things,
- 21:21Speaker 1: not just mandating voter id Why are they against men
- 21:24Speaker 1: and women's sports. Why are they against deporting foreign terrorists
- 21:28Speaker 1: from American soil who have been designated a foreign terrorist organization.
- 21:32Speaker 1: I'm referring to trendy Aragua. As for the Election Integrity
- 21:35Speaker 1: Executive Order that the President signed yesterday, this is in
- 21:38Speaker 1: an effort to restore trust in American elections. There were
- 21:41Speaker 1: more than ten steps taken, ten executive actions taken throughout
- 21:44Speaker 1: this one order. It directs the Department or the Attorney
- 21:47Speaker 1: General rather in Homeland Security to prevent non citizens from
- 21:51Speaker 1: any involvement and administering elections. There's also another host of actions.
- 21:55Speaker 1: We can provide the fact sheet for you, but it's
- 21:56Speaker 1: a very strong Election Integrity Executive Order, and the President
- 22:00Speaker 1: would also like to see Congress do something about this
- 22:02Speaker 1: very important issue. Sure, go ahead, Caroline.
- 22:07Speaker 9: The Republicans and Democrats alike have been expressing some concern
- 22:11Speaker 9: about the frequency of which senior Trump officials have been
- 22:14Speaker 9: using this signal. App has there been discussion where there'll
- 22:17Speaker 9: be a review about how often they use Signal and
- 22:21Speaker 9: if you could explain to us how they might be
- 22:24Speaker 9: considering other applications to get away from something like this
- 22:28Speaker 9: happening again.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Sure well again, First of all, Signal has been an
- 22:32Speaker 1: approved app for government use. It's an encryptive app, and
- 22:35Speaker 1: as I said, it's the most safe and efficient way
- 22:38Speaker 1: of communicating, especially when people can't be in a skiff
- 22:42Speaker 1: or inside a room physically together. I think, as the
- 22:45Speaker 1: President said yesterday, he wishes that everybody could be in
- 22:48Speaker 1: the room, and it's our goal to ensure that everybody
- 22:51Speaker 1: can be. But again, no classified information was discussed in
- 22:54Speaker 1: this chat, and any time classified information is discussed amongst
- 22:58Speaker 1: high level officials across this administration, secure lines of communication
- 23:02Speaker 1: are used, including by the way, our Special Envoy Steve Whitcoff,
- 23:07Speaker 1: who I understand, the Wall Street Journal erroneously reported that
- 23:11Speaker 1: he was on this Signal chat on a personal device
- 23:13Speaker 1: while in Moscow. That is absolutely false. Steve Whitcoff did
- 23:17Speaker 1: not have his personal device, nor did he have his
- 23:19Speaker 1: government device with him. He was given a classified protected
- 23:23Speaker 1: server by the United States government, and he was very
- 23:26Speaker 1: careful about his communications when he was in Russia. So
- 23:29Speaker 1: rest ashured to the American public. This administration is taking
- 23:33Speaker 1: every precaution when it comes to protecting our national security.
- 23:37Speaker 1: And that's why the American people re elected this president,
- 23:39Speaker 1: because they know that our national security is in good
- 23:41Speaker 1: hands with the President of the United States. Speaking of
- 23:45Speaker 1: the Vice President, I understand he's going to be speaking
- 23:47Speaker 1: any moment now. I would hate to counter program the
- 23:50Speaker 1: Vice president of the United States. You'll also hear from
- 23:52Speaker 1: the President at three o'clock. He will be honoring women's
- 23:55Speaker 1: history at the Women's History Month celebration. We have a
- 23:57Speaker 1: lot of great women across our cabinet who will be
- 24:00Speaker 1: in attendance, so we'll see you all there. And then
- 24:02Speaker 1: you'll also hear from the President again at four o'clock
- 24:05Speaker 1: when he talks about tariffs. So plenty of time for
- 24:07Speaker 1: more questions. Sorry, it's a bit shorter today, guys. We'll
- 24:09Speaker 1: see you later. Democrat and anti Trump order, yeah,
