- 1:16Speaker 1: to when I was. That was it for me though,
- 1:18Speaker 1: a lot of turn up. Yeah right, I missed you
- 1:23Speaker 1: at compound. I wanted you to close. Yeah, yeah, yes
- 1:27Speaker 1: about it. He actually he was in the front. Where
- 1:30Speaker 1: were you at? I was in the main room. I
- 1:33Speaker 1: got off. I literally got you were there when I
- 1:35Speaker 1: was still d J. I got there like coming to
- 1:38Speaker 1: hear you. That's why I came. And I was supposed
- 1:40Speaker 1: to coming to rocking too. Damn Yeah, Susan, how was
- 1:45Speaker 1: your weekend? Love? I saw you. I had a great weekend. Um,
- 1:51Speaker 1: what happened? What? I had a fabulous weekend? Thank you
- 1:55Speaker 1: very much for asking um something really cool to happen.
- 1:58Speaker 1: I think I made the community proud because I got
- 2:01Speaker 1: black youngster to go. I did have the video. He
- 2:09Speaker 1: is not how he's straight up from Memphis, Tennessee. Like
- 2:14Speaker 1: he's definitely from Memphis. But it was so funny because Um,
- 2:17Speaker 1: I was telling him. I was like, yeah, I'm from Ethiopia,
- 2:19Speaker 1: and I was like, so say this Ethiopian he was.
- 2:21Speaker 1: He looked at me so sincerely and was like, that's
- 2:24Speaker 1: one word. I never knew how to say it before.
- 2:29Speaker 1: He had heard the word. Yes, he had heard Ethiopia before,
- 2:32Speaker 1: but he just didn't know how to say it. So no, no,
- 2:35Speaker 1: he did not. He did not know how to say Ethiopia.
- 2:37Speaker 1: So he tried saying it for a little while and
- 2:38Speaker 1: It was the best thing ever because he was really trying. Yes,
- 2:43Speaker 1: he was really trying. It was it was hilarious. It
- 2:46Speaker 1: was so funny. So then I end up getting him
- 2:48Speaker 1: to say, you know a litt and he I mean
- 2:51Speaker 1: he tried for like a solid five minutes. He wanted
- 2:53Speaker 1: to make sure he got it right, so at least
- 2:55Speaker 1: he put an air for he did. It was so
- 2:57Speaker 1: fun So I'm gonna make that a thing now. Everybody
- 2:59Speaker 1: needs to how to say it and something I need
- 3:02Speaker 1: him to act. I think he toldly could I think
- 3:04Speaker 1: he'd be dope on a podcast, to be honest, maybe
- 3:06Speaker 1: like a monthly situation where he does like a recap
- 3:08Speaker 1: of stuff. He's a vibrant, animated character flying off air.
- 3:13Speaker 1: He he was super dupe, very normal personnel. Yeah, he's
- 3:19Speaker 1: very normal. And of course we all celebrated the fifteen
- 3:23Speaker 1: year anniversary Pound, which was soaked up for me because
- 3:27Speaker 1: I spent eleven years working for the company, so it
- 3:29Speaker 1: was really nostalgic for me to be in that room.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Was crazy, like, definitely missed you the days. I wanted
- 3:35Speaker 1: it to be a whole infamous ace And then of
- 3:37Speaker 1: course sprinkle for our Simmons and that thing, you know whatever,
- 3:41Speaker 1: Baby You was there and I kind of like fanned out,
- 3:44Speaker 1: Like when I saw him walk by, I was like,
- 3:45Speaker 1: oh my god, this dj. Baby y'a don't understand, Like
- 3:48Speaker 1: he was the best DJ Urban nightclubs had seen in Atlanta.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Broadcast and the music I never forget. You think a
- 3:59Speaker 1: million people in the club. You would make sure to
- 4:02Speaker 1: turn your radio on for the traffic jam. You had
- 4:05Speaker 1: to hear Baby You on the traffic jam. It was
- 4:08Speaker 1: like a real thing. So that was awesome. And then
- 4:10Speaker 1: Sunday the Loft Brunch at Brooklyn is going up really well,
- 4:14Speaker 1: no more get Brunch, no more the brunch Saturday. Um,
- 4:17Speaker 1: It's Sunday's at Brooklyn Kitchen and Lounge. It is amazing.
- 4:20Speaker 1: It's the Caribbean inspired menu. The mimosas are great, the
- 4:22Speaker 1: cocktails are awesome. Caesar actually came through good food. Yeah, yeah,
- 4:28Speaker 1: that was a bit more different videographers working now. Listen,
- 4:31Speaker 1: Season had to have a here this weekend. Caesar gotta
- 4:36Speaker 1: check I think Season gotta check over. He like, yeah,
- 4:41Speaker 1: I'm good, just waiting on this. I got a couple
- 4:43Speaker 1: of five table dollar tables and just just a couple
- 4:47Speaker 1: of how much money to add up to before. Yeah,
- 4:54Speaker 1: you made some money this weekend season, okay weekend and
- 5:00Speaker 1: it was amazing, y'all. I got to celebrate with my
- 5:03Speaker 1: family at the world famous compound. I like I like
- 5:07Speaker 1: to you know, I need a medium. You gave me
- 5:08Speaker 1: a lot. Oh yeah, I didn't get my T shirt. Man,
- 5:11Speaker 1: I got designed a T shirt next time. Two hours.
- 5:13Speaker 1: It was alright, um so um. I had a very
- 5:17Speaker 1: very good time seeing everybody. And when I say everybody,
- 5:20Speaker 1: I'm telling about everybody who's been coming over the last
- 5:23Speaker 1: fifteen years. Some people. Because I saw some people in
- 5:25Speaker 1: there that a lot of regulars I haven't seen in
- 5:27Speaker 1: years years when I was, you know, I saw some
- 5:31Speaker 1: old I saw some old working girls in a long
- 5:35Speaker 1: time season. You see how season just gave me that
- 5:39Speaker 1: look was the only one that work. It was some
- 5:40Speaker 1: working girls. They came back at working like selling. Yes, yes, yes,
- 5:47Speaker 1: y'all looked absolutely beautiful. I'm I'm so glad to see
- 5:51Speaker 1: how you all have grown. Y'all look amazing. I don't know,
- 5:55Speaker 1: but they don't sell in the world famous Women of
- 5:58Speaker 1: the night, Women of the night, you know what I'm saying.
- 6:00Speaker 1: They have progressed. Lace France was chopping, they making some money.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Everybody came back out. Yeah, it was a beautiful night.
- 6:10Speaker 1: It was. It was so disject like literally all the
- 6:12Speaker 1: old working girls came out. All the guys that used
- 6:14Speaker 1: to have money that don't have money no more, came
- 6:16Speaker 1: out like it was just you know what, I will
- 6:22Speaker 1: say this, it's definitely a different era from when it started.
- 6:25Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. It's definitely a different era.
- 6:28Speaker 1: But when it started, big shout to everyone if you
- 6:31Speaker 1: broke or not that came out to support. Damn. So
- 6:34Speaker 1: the girls that were holing and aren't holing anymore. I
- 6:37Speaker 1: didn't say that, I said working girls. I said the
- 6:39Speaker 1: working ladies. Everybody got to work. And other than that,
- 6:42Speaker 1: the celebrities that showed. I want to shout out fifty cent.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I'm glad no one old him anymore. I'm glad Alex
- 6:46Speaker 1: paid in food before he came into the said had
- 6:49Speaker 1: a lot of fun. He had a lot of fun.
- 6:52Speaker 1: He did, Okay, he did so So fifty was on
- 6:58Speaker 1: the mic all night. He was He wanted to keep
- 7:01Speaker 1: the mic like he wanted to keep the entire like
- 7:03Speaker 1: the whole night. He didn't want to give up the mic.
- 7:05Speaker 1: He just had the best end. He was taking pictures
- 7:07Speaker 1: to everybody, popping that champaign. I don't even know what
- 7:09Speaker 1: the champagne it's called, but it was some rose he
- 7:12Speaker 1: had he was giving to everybody. I do want to
- 7:14Speaker 1: say to Chris Brown. However, Chris, I don't know what
- 7:17Speaker 1: the problem was. I don't know what the problem was.
- 7:20Speaker 1: You came in the club and he left. Like came
- 7:23Speaker 1: in the club. It was a squirmish because I guess security.
- 7:26Speaker 1: His security was pushing and doing all types of stuff,
- 7:29Speaker 1: and it's like, this is the world famous compact. Everything
- 7:32Speaker 1: gonna be all right. Just get him to the booth
- 7:33Speaker 1: and then we get whoever and whatever needs to happen.
- 7:35Speaker 1: He had just performed that night, didn't Yeah, at the concert,
- 7:39Speaker 1: maybe something happened. Big shout to the Tycoon Music Festival.
- 7:42Speaker 1: That's why all those artists were in town. Literally came
- 7:46Speaker 1: in for a second and then like literally stirring the couch,
- 7:52Speaker 1: looked around for a second and it was out. It
- 7:55Speaker 1: had to be to Yeah, it was of people definitely
- 8:00Speaker 1: were asking where he was. Yeah, and I like, literally
- 8:02Speaker 1: I'm trying to trying to make the movie and so
- 8:04Speaker 1: like fat I mean and big Shout, the Fabulous, the
- 8:07Speaker 1: Trade Songs, big shout to Davy's, big shout to Casta Nova,
- 8:10Speaker 1: Drea Michell. I mean, everybody was there and they stay
- 8:12Speaker 1: until lights came on. But Chris and it just for me.
- 8:15Speaker 1: It kind of like Jamaine dupre Big Show, the Jermaine
- 8:17Speaker 1: dupri o'nelly came through. And by the way, the fifteen
- 8:21Speaker 1: years of Compound is not over. Alex is doing fifteen events.
- 8:25Speaker 1: We will have every act we've ever had, from Cheasy
- 8:28Speaker 1: to Drake to Rick Ross. The whole thing will be
- 8:33Speaker 1: coming back full circle over the next couple of months.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Will be sure to look out for that. But other
- 8:37Speaker 1: than that case Rescipece to Bushwick, Bill, Uh, it's gone
- 8:47Speaker 1: blah blah. Yeah, he died. He died. It was reports
- 8:50Speaker 1: over the weekend that he had died and he hadn't.
- 8:53Speaker 1: But now he is officially passed away cancer at the
- 8:57Speaker 1: age of fifty two. So young. Yeah, one of my
- 9:03Speaker 1: mind playing traits on me. One of my favorite songs
- 9:06Speaker 1: of all time, Rest in Power bush with Bill June
- 9:10Speaker 1: is lgbt Q month And y'all remember last week we
- 9:13Speaker 1: talked about the administration. Trump administration wanted to basically, you know,
- 9:18Speaker 1: be responsible for getting rid of Let me say it correctly,
- 9:21Speaker 1: he wanted to decriminalize a campaign to decriminal a global
- 9:25Speaker 1: campaign to decriminalize homo sexuality. Um. But his administration just
- 9:31Speaker 1: this weekend deny requests from embassies in Israel, Germany, Britain, Brazil,
- 9:37Speaker 1: and lat Via to flywer rainbow flags during lgbt Q month. Yeah,
- 9:45Speaker 1: this guy's a character man, and he just wants to
- 9:48Speaker 1: stay in office, so I think anything that's gonna make
- 9:50Speaker 1: him look right now he's running. He's running again, so
- 9:53Speaker 1: he's gonna say stuff that looks really good, but his
- 9:56Speaker 1: actions don't back it up at all. I don't even
- 9:58Speaker 1: understand how he's I don't understand. I do understand. He
- 10:01Speaker 1: wanted to go to do this whole terror of thing
- 10:03Speaker 1: with Mexico, was about to put us into a recession,
- 10:05Speaker 1: which we still might go to. By the way. Everybody
- 10:08Speaker 1: who's spending out here like you got it. Um. But
- 10:11Speaker 1: then he goes and does these things and just contradicts
- 10:13Speaker 1: himself all the way. And Republicans are pushing back. Now,
- 10:15Speaker 1: it's not just it's not just the liberals in the Democrats.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Republicans are like, oh wait, wait, wait, wait, you're tripping.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Speaking of tripping, Wendy Williams is out here in these
- 10:25Speaker 1: streets living her best life. Um, she's been on the
- 10:28Speaker 1: West coast here with a man's hand, a couple of pictures.
- 10:32Speaker 1: It's wait in the situation, Well, why is she tripping? Though?
- 10:39Speaker 1: That was that was a hell of a transition. You
- 10:41Speaker 1: could trip the hell of a transition. You can trip,
- 10:44Speaker 1: invest in it, the best in it. She out there
- 10:48Speaker 1: with black China, living her best life. Yeah, oh my god,
- 10:52Speaker 1: I thought that was tiny. No, you didn't know. I
- 10:56Speaker 1: didn't go into it. No, I didn't know body. No,
- 11:01Speaker 1: I can't even see nothing. I know, like, I didn't
- 11:04Speaker 1: go into it. But at a quick glance I thought
- 11:06Speaker 1: it was I thought it was tiny. But now that
- 11:08Speaker 1: I'm going into it and I'm looking at the photo,
- 11:10Speaker 1: I can see that it is not going. She said
- 11:16Speaker 1: he could be my child. Basically, it's what you said.
- 11:19Speaker 1: I can tell he got on the whole sneaker at
- 11:20Speaker 1: the pool. He got on a whole sneaker by some water.
- 11:25Speaker 1: It's all bad. The type of guy she likes, it's
- 11:27Speaker 1: definitely aston Red Sox legend David Ortiz shot into Dominican Republican.
- 11:34Speaker 1: He's good. He got shot in the backs, so scary.
- 11:36Speaker 1: It went through his stomach and hit somebody in the leg,
- 11:39Speaker 1: so he was not a shot through the body like.
- 11:41Speaker 1: It went went through his back and then through the
- 11:43Speaker 1: stomach and then hit somebody in the ain't hitting the organs, No,
- 11:46Speaker 1: nothing down that. He's there repairing some organs. I was
- 11:49Speaker 1: reading on ESPN this morning. I was listening to for
- 11:51Speaker 1: a bullet to go through and please tell me if
- 11:54Speaker 1: I'm wrong. Does that mean that it doesn't a bullet
- 11:57Speaker 1: shatter when it when it? Well? Shotguns that well, the
- 12:01Speaker 1: moss Berg pumps like the shotguns those are they have
- 12:04Speaker 1: hollowpoint bullets for all guns. Shotgun shells are the ones
- 12:07Speaker 1: that normally dispersed like that. But the nine millimeters and
- 12:10Speaker 1: the more smaller guns shooting so that that can go
- 12:13Speaker 1: straight through whatever it is that it hit, and it's
- 12:15Speaker 1: still powerful enough to hit somebody or something else and
- 12:18Speaker 1: tear everything up in between. So that's why I'm like,
- 12:21Speaker 1: that doesn't leave anything behind, It doesn't leave anything in you.
- 12:25Speaker 1: I wouldn't know. It just tears hot scorching pen right right. Damn.
- 12:31Speaker 1: So he wasn't a target, you think it was random,
- 12:34Speaker 1: like he just got randomly spotted out. He ran off
- 12:38Speaker 1: with some people or some some people that around the street,
- 12:41Speaker 1: um beat them up, and then they beat him up
- 12:43Speaker 1: really bad. They caught the shoes and being called the
- 12:45Speaker 1: shooter beat him up. People in the street called the shooter,
- 12:47Speaker 1: beat him up real bad. He wasn't in the hospital,
- 12:49Speaker 1: and then they took him straight to jail after he
- 12:51Speaker 1: recovered a little bit from the injuries. Thank god, is
- 12:55Speaker 1: okay shooting? Speaking of whooping ass? He did now? But
- 13:00Speaker 1: the detective and Central Park, the Central Park five cases. Finally,
- 13:04Speaker 1: the detective that did all that bullshit, I'm sure he
- 13:08Speaker 1: didn't make it to heaven. How about that motherfucker now
- 13:12Speaker 1: that he died, you know, I don't know, Okay, let
- 13:15Speaker 1: me he died to cancer. I mean cancers taking everybody out,
- 13:17Speaker 1: by the way, but that's your everybody. Gut health is
- 13:19Speaker 1: very important. I want to say that gut health probiotic.
- 13:22Speaker 1: If you eat bad, drink a lot of water because
- 13:25Speaker 1: it starts in your stomach and that's where all the ship.
- 13:27Speaker 1: It's just so crazy though, because it's like everything you
- 13:30Speaker 1: just see all these warnings all the time. This has
- 13:33Speaker 1: cancer causing elementsed like everything and everything can even one
- 13:37Speaker 1: of those vegan patties. I forget what it is. Is
- 13:39Speaker 1: it impossible? That's what uses that? I think that's what
- 13:43Speaker 1: I read the impossible ber it's either that one or
- 13:46Speaker 1: beyond it's it's one of those products. Let me find out.
- 13:52Speaker 1: And that's what I'm saying, Like there's so much for
- 13:55Speaker 1: micro waves which I don't use anymore, which I don't
- 13:59Speaker 1: use anymore. She basically detective of cancer around people who smoke,
- 14:05Speaker 1: and you don't smoke, you can still kiss cancer from that.
- 14:08Speaker 1: So I mean, you know they got a cure for
- 14:10Speaker 1: you know, they got a cure for the got a
- 14:13Speaker 1: So definitely, ladies and gentlemen one time for Rihanna and
- 14:19Speaker 1: that left prayer body suit. In the interview, Yes, come on,
- 14:23Speaker 1: don't stop hating. On Hello magazine magazine spread, she looked
- 14:29Speaker 1: like a goddess. I'm married with children, so as far
- 14:32Speaker 1: as I'm gonna go with it. But what y'all think
- 14:33Speaker 1: about the interview magazine spread, anything she does, she represents
- 14:37Speaker 1: my home island. I'm with it. And he says she
- 14:39Speaker 1: got more bread to Beyonce. Yes she does. I'm just
- 14:42Speaker 1: saying that is just you got six on the mill
- 14:46Speaker 1: that is in her san Yeah, but that's yea. I
- 14:57Speaker 1: will say this though, Rihanna, I the guy has like
- 15:01Speaker 1: to me, perfected not perfected her, and she's already made.
- 15:04Speaker 1: I'm saying. But the guy, the billionaire and his whatever
- 15:07Speaker 1: he got, like stop tripping your too sexual whatever that is,
- 15:10Speaker 1: I think got hurt in a whole another lane. I
- 15:14Speaker 1: don't know what is it me because I think before
- 15:16Speaker 1: the billion that she was out there like she was
- 15:18Speaker 1: Travis Scott. She was doing her thing, she was a
- 15:20Speaker 1: little promiscuous, and now I just think, I don't know,
- 15:24Speaker 1: I don't know. I think he has influence of her positively.
- 15:28Speaker 1: I think he didn't influence her positively. And I don't
- 15:30Speaker 1: necessarily know about the specific like the timing of when.
- 15:36Speaker 1: But I don't like she's being her authentic self. Like
- 15:40Speaker 1: when she gained weight, she's just like, you know, I'm
- 15:42Speaker 1: a gain weight because I want to It's not because
- 15:44Speaker 1: I'm pregnant or anything, because I want to eat. And
- 15:47Speaker 1: you know, I think she's living her best life still.
- 15:50Speaker 1: I think she's she's just growing, like it's not like
- 15:53Speaker 1: she you know, growing like a small job, like she
- 15:57Speaker 1: literally grew up in around the world, like work with
- 16:00Speaker 1: people who are very wealthy, people who are business people,
- 16:03Speaker 1: and so she was able to take that in. I
- 16:05Speaker 1: don't know when she met her boyfriend or like when
- 16:07Speaker 1: that influence came into place, but I think whether he
- 16:11Speaker 1: was there or not, like she was definitely moving this
- 16:14Speaker 1: way because there was some public things about him saying
- 16:16Speaker 1: like no, I don't want you doing that, or I
- 16:17Speaker 1: don't want you out there so promiscuous. It was thing
- 16:20Speaker 1: I know, reported reported on Baller learn about it. But anyway,
- 16:23Speaker 1: I'm glad to see her six hundred million dollars in
- 16:27Speaker 1: and leading the way as all these superheroes out here
- 16:31Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. Kalett versus Tyler is great. I won't
- 16:34Speaker 1: have had a conversation, you know, I want to have
- 16:37Speaker 1: a conversation. You know. I think Kali didn't go number one.
- 16:41Speaker 1: That's why the conversation started. And uh, Tyler the creator,
- 16:46Speaker 1: I said, Tyler, Tyler the creator with Igor went number one.
- 16:50Speaker 1: And basically Cali was like, this is some mystery ship,
- 16:53Speaker 1: Like I don't even who listens to it? Right, So
- 16:55Speaker 1: what I did, like I always do, I go to
- 16:57Speaker 1: my children, I said Kyle Burns fifteen years. I was like,
- 17:01Speaker 1: who you think got a better album? Kalid or Tyler
- 17:05Speaker 1: the Creator? He said Tyler C. I was like why.
- 17:07Speaker 1: I was like what you mean? So it led me
- 17:10Speaker 1: to go listen to the album and when I heard it,
- 17:13Speaker 1: I was like, oh, ship, like this sounds like Nerd,
- 17:16Speaker 1: like early Nerd, right, you know, saying something listening I'm
- 17:18Speaker 1: going away through the album and not that I will
- 17:20Speaker 1: say he has hit songs in my opinion, but it's
- 17:24Speaker 1: a vibe it is, you know, and it's a different
- 17:26Speaker 1: time now to like Kalid, he caters to not only
- 17:31Speaker 1: new hip hop, he he caters to odor hip hop too,
- 17:34Speaker 1: like he Yeah, he supports legends like naj you know
- 17:38Speaker 1: what I'm saying, and jay Z and stuff like that.
- 17:40Speaker 1: So he's gonna bring that element always, you know. But
- 17:43Speaker 1: Tyler the Creator he kind of speaks more to this
- 17:45Speaker 1: generation now and this generation yeah, this type of music. Now.
- 17:50Speaker 1: He's thirty something too, by the way, right okay I'm
- 17:53Speaker 1: saying he's thirty something. I think he's twenties. Okay, you
- 17:59Speaker 1: produced this is one want to go You're you're a producer.
- 18:01Speaker 1: You all are music people. I want to know this.
- 18:04Speaker 1: So if I'm listening to the album, right, Kala has
- 18:09Speaker 1: way better songs. I'm telling about songs and I'm listening
- 18:12Speaker 1: to it. I oh, I like, I mean, you play,
- 18:17Speaker 1: you stay whatever, right, But then like you listen to
- 18:19Speaker 1: Igor and it's like it's a vibe you in there,
- 18:22Speaker 1: like oh ship hard beats. Okay, I get it, but
- 18:25Speaker 1: I'm not like I'm not singing along where I'm not
- 18:29Speaker 1: rapping along? Does that even matter? Years? I think it's
- 18:33Speaker 1: a required taste. Like I said, he speaks to him.
- 18:36Speaker 1: He speaks to the now generation, just like a lot
- 18:39Speaker 1: of the older casts don't feel comfortable super skinny jeans,
- 18:42Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, or wigs, you know, stretch.
- 18:49Speaker 1: It's just about what what's more relatable to you? Like,
- 18:51Speaker 1: so you know, you may relate more to DJ Calli
- 18:54Speaker 1: because of the other artists that he's working with and
- 18:56Speaker 1: the genre that he's doing. But like y'all said, Tyler
- 18:58Speaker 1: is totally for the general of consumers right, musicality though,
- 19:03Speaker 1: I'm just saying, like producing, yeah, I like what you're
- 19:08Speaker 1: going off of is going off prestige because he has
- 19:12Speaker 1: Kali has some hardcore people. Got you Got a song
- 19:14Speaker 1: with Rows and Jeezy one song. Yeah, he got a
- 19:17Speaker 1: song with Meek male Baby Little Baby. Yeah. But you
- 19:22Speaker 1: know you got um Tyler. Yeah, they're on a different
- 19:27Speaker 1: number one. Then he's got Generation Z, which is from
- 19:31Speaker 1: age eight to like twenty three. I think you got
- 19:34Speaker 1: that whole crowd right there, you know, sex crowd. And
- 19:38Speaker 1: you know when you're that age, what do you do
- 19:40Speaker 1: the songs? You listen to it? Oh yeah, over and over.
- 19:44Speaker 1: We got it to do. I'm gonna say that at
- 19:46Speaker 1: one time, and I might listen to it later on
- 19:48Speaker 1: this week because I got it to do. You know
- 19:51Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Kids don't not know, els don't not
- 19:54Speaker 1: to do. They're playing that ship over and over. That's
- 19:56Speaker 1: why I was number one and that. But then you
- 19:58Speaker 1: have people that I'm money off that too, And it's
- 20:01Speaker 1: different conversations in the high schools in the middle schools
- 20:04Speaker 1: when they hear a record. You know what I'm saying,
- 20:05Speaker 1: they're like, oh man, did you hear this? You know
- 20:07Speaker 1: it's different versus go ahead. I call this kind of like,
- 20:13Speaker 1: you know, he has a kid that's like my dad,
- 20:17Speaker 1: he's younger. And that's why I say they speak to
- 20:19Speaker 1: two different types of hippe, different lingos different, the languages different.
- 20:23Speaker 1: But I like the Tyler the Creator album, you know
- 20:26Speaker 1: what I'm saying. But I like nerds. Yeah, I do too.
- 20:32Speaker 1: But when you have KLi, you know you're gonna get
- 20:34Speaker 1: all the features, you're gonna get the kids. Sometimes Mother's
- 20:38Speaker 1: going here that no, no no, no. But that's the only
- 20:39Speaker 1: that's the worst part of this contribution in the sense
- 20:41Speaker 1: of that right, in the sense if I want to
- 20:43Speaker 1: hear songs and I don't want to you saying, but
- 20:46Speaker 1: but I will say this, if you look at like
- 20:51Speaker 1: the defeat, it is the accomplishment it is to have
- 20:54Speaker 1: all of those artists to put that together, to bring
- 20:57Speaker 1: in them. And then when we're talking about number one,
- 20:59Speaker 1: as far as kind and I can understand why matter
- 21:01Speaker 1: because it's like, you take the time, you go through
- 21:03Speaker 1: this process. This is immaculate process of creating this product. Right.
- 21:09Speaker 1: But then with with with Tyler, it's like, all right,
- 21:11Speaker 1: well he's a rapper, but he's singing on the why
- 21:15Speaker 1: are we not giving him the same credit and putting
- 21:19Speaker 1: him Because if you listen to the production, it sounds like,
- 21:21Speaker 1: for real, did the whole album like the ship is crazy?
- 21:24Speaker 1: What I heard instrumentation on that, It's it's crazy, like
- 21:28Speaker 1: if you heard, if you want to see that live,
- 21:30Speaker 1: you can get your whole musical fix. So I mean,
- 21:33Speaker 1: but if let's go around, but everyone's not as open
- 21:35Speaker 1: as you, you know, to at least just like listen
- 21:37Speaker 1: to it. I think people who have already decided that
- 21:39Speaker 1: they don't like the new rappers and the new kind
- 21:42Speaker 1: of music, they're automatically putting you in a box. But
- 21:45Speaker 1: this man really has some good stuff he does. So
- 21:47Speaker 1: who would you pick between the two albums, Tyler or Tylo?
- 21:50Speaker 1: With Tyler because I just kind of feel like the
- 21:52Speaker 1: situation isn't something we hadn't heard before. That's what I say.
- 21:56Speaker 1: I'm going with Kali, but you know that's my opinion
- 21:59Speaker 1: for a younger innovation. They're gonna go with Tyler because
- 22:01Speaker 1: Tyler is the vibe. That's what they want to hear.
- 22:03Speaker 1: You don't work. I like both they got they bring
- 22:05Speaker 1: something different, and you know, when I'm in a mood
- 22:08Speaker 1: to listen to Kalid, you know, I know what I'm
- 22:10Speaker 1: gonna get. You gotta pick Tyler. I like I like
- 22:14Speaker 1: Tyler because it's you know, I like the instrumentation. I
- 22:18Speaker 1: like the creativity. Not to say that Kalid isn't creative,
- 22:21Speaker 1: but you know, I don't know. I don't want to
- 22:24Speaker 1: pay I think both. It ain't nothing new Kali. I
- 22:29Speaker 1: appreciate both contributions. But I do like Kalid's production and
- 22:34Speaker 1: the way he put the songs together. You know, when
- 22:36Speaker 1: you have preference, you're gonna have Justin Bieber, You're gonna
- 22:38Speaker 1: have Chris is hot, the way it's hot, the way
- 22:43Speaker 1: he took the outcast a sample, and it's hot. But
- 22:49Speaker 1: you know, sometimes you may you may go for one
- 22:51Speaker 1: song and then you'd be like, I don't like that one.
- 22:53Speaker 1: That ain't yah know, Tyler. Ship is a run through
- 22:56Speaker 1: to play it from starting to finish and catch a vibe.
- 23:00Speaker 1: That's your vibe, that's not my vibe. It's about some
- 23:02Speaker 1: of this ship though, like somebody I like. I just
- 23:03Speaker 1: like creative. Like not to say that Kali's stuff isn't creative,
- 23:07Speaker 1: but it's like the same old type of song to me,
- 23:11Speaker 1: it's not creative about you say, though, what I'm saying
- 23:15Speaker 1: I love. I love what he did, but I'm just
- 23:17Speaker 1: saying to me, when I hear Kalid, I hear the
- 23:19Speaker 1: same type of record you know what I'm saying. Versus
- 23:22Speaker 1: I like to listen to an album from start to finish.
- 23:26Speaker 1: Not to say that I can't do that with Kali,
- 23:27Speaker 1: but like I listened to the Damn Album by Kendrick
- 23:30Speaker 1: Lamar from start to finish. All are you about to
- 23:34Speaker 1: say that's creative about what he puts? Yeah? And I mean,
- 23:44Speaker 1: although like putting those people together is creative, I think
- 23:47Speaker 1: we're still talking about like the music, and it's still
- 23:50Speaker 1: a formula. I don't like, I love it, I love
- 23:54Speaker 1: I love Tyler's creativity. I do agree. And even with
- 23:57Speaker 1: the album cover, he looks like the male grade Jones
- 24:00Speaker 1: with the box joined the Yeah, it's different, it's fun,
- 24:03Speaker 1: but I will I will say this to close it out, though,
- 24:06Speaker 1: I think that like we do have to give artists
- 24:09Speaker 1: really the listening tests. I think a lot of people
- 24:11Speaker 1: just say, yo, Kylie got X Y and Z he's better. No,
- 24:15Speaker 1: you gotta listen to Tyler's ship to even have an opinion.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Give the new generation a chance, Give it a chance,
- 24:23Speaker 1: said the musicality like you, if you were to think
- 24:26Speaker 1: about that, it's up there, it's up there. It's just
- 24:29Speaker 1: like Tiana Taylor's album Michael said, start to finish, but
- 24:31Speaker 1: it breaks us in different like you know how certain
- 24:34Speaker 1: records cut out. You know what I'm saying, Kaye coming
- 24:36Speaker 1: out of nowhere, no fade outs, and then you know
- 24:39Speaker 1: all those little details, Yeah, just a small, little intricate detail.
- 24:42Speaker 1: It almost sounds like you were in the studio with them,
- 24:45Speaker 1: Like it would make you think you were there one
- 24:47Speaker 1: time for Generation Z and now it's time for baller. Man.
- 24:54Speaker 1: We didn't get any warnings on this one. Today. This
- 24:56Speaker 1: must be good and it's bad. They're becoming straight to
- 25:00Speaker 1: me too. They'd be like, please ferrari, this is anonymous,
- 25:04Speaker 1: and then they'll send it to me like please don't
- 25:05Speaker 1: judge me and put the little emoji, put that emojo
- 25:07Speaker 1: on the screen right there. Here we go. Make sure
- 25:11Speaker 1: you send it after the show. Oh man. Before my
- 25:14Speaker 1: daughter's father was arrested, we were together. However, we were
- 25:18Speaker 1: not on good terms and on the verge of breaking up.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Once he was sentenced, he had a minimum of three
- 25:24Speaker 1: and a half years in prison. I vowed to hold
- 25:27Speaker 1: him down. Mm hmm, I know what's gonna happen. After
- 25:31Speaker 1: about two years, I met a man who was almost
- 25:33Speaker 1: the same person as him. Not only their birthdays are
- 25:37Speaker 1: are a day apart. I basically fell in love with him,
- 25:40Speaker 1: but I still love my daughter's father now that we are.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Now that we are in the last six months before
- 25:46Speaker 1: he comes home, I haven't cut it off with the
- 25:48Speaker 1: other guy, and he wants to be exclusive and get married.
- 25:52Speaker 1: I'm torn because I feel like I loved them both. However,
- 25:56Speaker 1: I am not married to my baby daddy, who's in jail,
- 25:59Speaker 1: and he has left me more than once throughout our
- 26:01Speaker 1: relationship in jail. And one of the biggest problems with
- 26:05Speaker 1: each other with the other guy wait here, I'm not done. Listen.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Listen to this part. One of the biggest problems with
- 26:12Speaker 1: the other guy is he has four kids. The guy
- 26:16Speaker 1: has made it clear it wouldn't burden me that we
- 26:20Speaker 1: that he will always be there when they are. Should
- 26:24Speaker 1: I stay with my baby daddy and see how it
- 26:26Speaker 1: goes or try it with the new guy? I'm confused,
- 26:29Speaker 1: Kenny Sue Rory. What should I do? I'm confused to
- 26:35Speaker 1: is the dude on the way home is the guy
- 26:37Speaker 1: coming home? He's coming home in six months. And the
- 26:39Speaker 1: dude that the minds heard of him got four kids?
- 26:43Speaker 1: Four kids Okay, listen, you just gotta do with in
- 26:47Speaker 1: your heart, ma'am, because this sounds really complicated. Answer to
- 26:50Speaker 1: that is not at the end of the day. At
- 26:54Speaker 1: the end of the day, it's really the only answer
- 26:57Speaker 1: because she's gonna do what you wanna do at the
- 26:59Speaker 1: end of the day. Ain't so listening. She's doing it now. Hey, listen,
- 27:03Speaker 1: that's all the advice I got. Look, if you are
- 27:06Speaker 1: really in love with your baby daddy and you think
- 27:09Speaker 1: you want to see what happens, that you just have
- 27:12Speaker 1: to see what happens. If you want to stay with
- 27:14Speaker 1: the man with four children, then you're gonna do that.
- 27:16Speaker 1: So I really don't know you man, you break up,
- 27:21Speaker 1: We're both they do not have homeboy. Homeboy coming out
- 27:25Speaker 1: of jail since month. He ain't gonna be ready to
- 27:27Speaker 1: get it in. That's the first thing he gonna want
- 27:29Speaker 1: in some cooded cat. Okay, and you already nothing to
- 27:32Speaker 1: somebody else. I'm just letting you know because you're gonna
- 27:35Speaker 1: be feeling kind of awkward. Oh God, you would love
- 27:38Speaker 1: with somebody else. Now, if you tell him that you
- 27:40Speaker 1: would love with somebody else, I don't know, he may
- 27:42Speaker 1: do something to take it to jail to you, because
- 27:46Speaker 1: she might not be in love with him, though it
- 27:48Speaker 1: might just be that he reminds her of her man
- 27:51Speaker 1: that's in jail. She tells the man that comes out
- 27:54Speaker 1: of jail that she's in love with somebody else, or
- 27:56Speaker 1: you know, because you know, Motherer, you want to hear
- 27:58Speaker 1: the truth sometimes, Well why you ain't? Why do you
- 28:00Speaker 1: want time? I met somebody else? Who? Hell? You know
- 28:05Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Now, it's a whole situation that you
- 28:07Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. And then buddy got four kids?
- 28:09Speaker 1: I mean, does he take care of his kids? Like?
- 28:11Speaker 1: How is this a lot of stuff? But we don't know,
- 28:13Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, that's farm that ain't ors? Now,
- 28:16Speaker 1: baby foe ain't ors? Okay, how old are there? They? Teenagers?
- 28:21Speaker 1: Because they're teenagers? You got zero control? Yeah, yeah, I
- 28:24Speaker 1: like that. I like what you're going with that. How
- 28:26Speaker 1: many baby mamas does he have? Hello? We got some
- 28:32Speaker 1: type of control going on? You know what I'm there
- 28:33Speaker 1: ain't no pressure for WIFEI back there in the back. Okay,
- 28:36Speaker 1: now listen, you know we got does he have prussure?
- 28:39Speaker 1: And what type of pressure is it? Yeah? Are you
- 28:42Speaker 1: killing that over here? He's talking about. I respect that,
- 28:52Speaker 1: you know, but you know I had I got a
- 28:53Speaker 1: cousin doing forty years in jail, right, yeah, Florida. This
- 29:00Speaker 1: nigger got cousin after father attempt the murder. Man. Let's
- 29:07Speaker 1: Jesus the laws and all that. You know what I'm saying. Now,
- 29:11Speaker 1: you got a girl on the outside, and he is
- 29:13Speaker 1: waiting page he get out of two years. He waiting
- 29:15Speaker 1: patiently after doing How long did he do? He did?
- 29:18Speaker 1: Thirty thirty? I think I don't know he getting out.
- 29:25Speaker 1: I was ship. I was a kid when he went in.
- 29:28Speaker 1: I just remember a little bits and some pieces of
- 29:30Speaker 1: him when when I was a kid. Anyway, man, listen
- 29:33Speaker 1: him when she he get out, what if she with
- 29:38Speaker 1: somebody else? Man? You that whole mind frame when you
- 29:40Speaker 1: get out of jail. I've never been to jail, but
- 29:43Speaker 1: you know he may lose his mind and then you know, yeah,
- 29:47Speaker 1: I like with both both of y'all said to be honest.
- 29:50Speaker 1: I mean, if you feelings and emotions have to be
- 29:53Speaker 1: involved with making a decision. But I will say this,
- 29:56Speaker 1: you know, Rory hit it on the head because you think,
- 30:01Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, something is super great and
- 30:04Speaker 1: all that until you gotta deal with everything to come
- 30:06Speaker 1: with the person, you know whatstand what I'm saying. So
- 30:09Speaker 1: if you have less issues and it seems that you
- 30:13Speaker 1: have less issues to do coming home, I don't know,
- 30:17Speaker 1: Like I agree with Rory, like he might be a
- 30:19Speaker 1: whole new person. He might be, but he might be
- 30:21Speaker 1: a whole new person that in a good way in
- 30:23Speaker 1: a bad way, you know. I just I don't know.
- 30:30Speaker 1: I just want to know who he loft her for
- 30:32Speaker 1: several times he was in jail, probably was before he
- 30:34Speaker 1: was Okay, I was in jail. That's absolutely how old
- 30:42Speaker 1: that their daughter is. But they do have the one
- 30:44Speaker 1: child together. But don't forget the other guy that she's
- 30:47Speaker 1: cheating on him with. He wants to be exclusive and
- 30:49Speaker 1: get married to marry her. Now I get it. I
- 30:53Speaker 1: just don't. Again, it's the it's the baggage that comes
- 30:55Speaker 1: with it, and you gotta be you have to be,
- 30:57Speaker 1: like said, like, you can't bring things to a situation
- 31:01Speaker 1: just because you're emotionally there, you know what I'm saying.
- 31:04Speaker 1: And if he's reminding you of the guy in jail,
- 31:07Speaker 1: that means your feelings ain't left over from the guy exactly.
- 31:11Speaker 1: That's what I'm like, maybe she's just into that because
- 31:13Speaker 1: he reminds her of the man that she has like
- 31:17Speaker 1: unfinished business with somebody else. But bottom line, and she
- 31:24Speaker 1: did it, so you can't take it back. My thing is,
- 31:26Speaker 1: get your family a chance though you need. You got knees.
- 31:28Speaker 1: If you somebody locked away for a long time, is
- 31:31Speaker 1: you know you can't. They're definitely getting their knees taken
- 31:33Speaker 1: care of in jail some kind of way. Those ain't
- 31:35Speaker 1: gonna do it for so long. So my point is, um, yeah,
- 31:39Speaker 1: I want your family. Do it for your family. I
- 31:42Speaker 1: think you try that before you jump all the way
- 31:44Speaker 1: into it with the other things. What did I say, man, nothing, nothing,
- 31:49Speaker 1: go ahead? I said, fact, you said I was not
- 31:51Speaker 1: gonna work forever. I said, fact, he's like, he said,
- 31:56Speaker 1: he's getting his knees. J he is getting his knee yea,
- 32:00Speaker 1: And now it's time becoming the US. What's going on?
- 32:09Speaker 1: I did not say that? Said she said, who did
- 32:12Speaker 1: he run to? Who's he running to in jail? Like
- 32:14Speaker 1: you know that's what he's saying. While he's I'll be
- 32:20Speaker 1: watching all the little Netflix stuff. They'be doing stuff in jail. Now.
- 32:26Speaker 1: It's times be all in the closet with him and stuff.
- 32:36Speaker 1: You cannot come for the game. Okay, his clapbacks are infamous. Okay.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Los Angeles Confidential posted this really cute photo of himself
- 32:47Speaker 1: as a young and said, man, Little Game used to
- 32:50Speaker 1: have girls from two schools away fighting each other over him.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Big Game got him fighting two countries away. That's way
- 32:59Speaker 1: you say he's super attracted, So maybe that's true. So
- 33:03Speaker 1: underscore Shamar Mitchell says delete. This is a man that
- 33:07Speaker 1: commented on his post and told him to delete it,
- 33:11Speaker 1: so you know, he responds and says, says the nigger
- 33:14Speaker 1: in the plastic puffy coat and gas station glasses with
- 33:18Speaker 1: the car washed towel in the background, you cannot come
- 33:22Speaker 1: for the game. He would literally go to your page
- 33:24Speaker 1: and spot the dumbest thing like and just hang on
- 33:28Speaker 1: to it. So now now you're just gonna be You
- 33:30Speaker 1: just got clowned by the game. Would have been clowning people.
- 33:32Speaker 1: It was a little area in my school. We just
- 33:34Speaker 1: crack on people all day. He was that person I
- 33:37Speaker 1: could tell by the way just all day. He don't stop.
- 33:41Speaker 1: You know what I will say. This Game is one
- 33:43Speaker 1: of the only surviving members of the fifty cent list
- 33:48Speaker 1: of I'm gonna I'm gonna get you, sucker, you know
- 33:51Speaker 1: what I'm talking. I don't even remember what their whole
- 33:53Speaker 1: thing was. It was why why telling him that was
- 34:06Speaker 1: the inialing DP and yeah, that's all. I hated a
- 34:09Speaker 1: love saying that he said that he wrote that getting
- 34:14Speaker 1: mad supposed to give it to somebody, sound like somebody
- 34:19Speaker 1: else that he gave it the game and game was like,
- 34:21Speaker 1: stop telling people that, you know I wrote that the
- 34:23Speaker 1: game my point? He he sent list, so I'm gonna
- 34:28Speaker 1: get you. They don't even acknowledge each other. They kind
- 34:31Speaker 1: of just you stay over there, I stay over there. Well,
- 34:33Speaker 1: they made amends, I believe, I think, but I don't
- 34:36Speaker 1: think he's a solid dude, Like you might want to
- 34:39Speaker 1: think about fighting him, like you want to figure out
- 34:41Speaker 1: shorter than I thought, but I know game ain't no
- 34:44Speaker 1: games big and so got to be an interesting fight.
- 34:47Speaker 1: Did y'all see the video of the artist who tried
- 34:49Speaker 1: to get to his music? Yes, I got to send
- 34:55Speaker 1: that to just Okay, I'm glad. I was going to
- 34:58Speaker 1: bring that up in case you and I. Yeah, so
- 35:00Speaker 1: there was a video that put on the screen season.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Basically the dudes taunting him to listen to his music,
- 35:07Speaker 1: and that's something one you want to talk to. But
- 35:10Speaker 1: then he got it together before he could see that
- 35:12Speaker 1: the dude tape. He's super smart, so he got it together.
- 35:16Speaker 1: He had the conversation like, look, you ain't even got
- 35:18Speaker 1: your ship together. You're talking about music. You want me
- 35:19Speaker 1: to look at the Instagram pay off all the soor so.
- 35:21Speaker 1: My point is that frightens me social media in that
- 35:25Speaker 1: way because you just never know the motherfucking cloud chasing
- 35:29Speaker 1: ship that people will do like he with his girl.
- 35:32Speaker 1: I don't even know the composure I could have kept
- 35:34Speaker 1: in that situation. Fuck you you're nigg or something whatever
- 35:37Speaker 1: he's saying, you know what I mean. And I was
- 35:39Speaker 1: looking like, oh, it's about to be Power season six
- 35:42Speaker 1: off this mother. People are so out of control though,
- 35:44Speaker 1: to feel obligated, like to feel entitled to walk up
- 35:47Speaker 1: to you and try to make you listen to their music.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Nobody has to listen to your music at any point
- 35:52Speaker 1: in time. No nobody has to, especially if they're out
- 35:55Speaker 1: enjoying their personal time. He clearly didn't think it was
- 35:58Speaker 1: gonna be no cameras on him, because do you look
- 36:00Speaker 1: like he was dressed for the damn barbecue, like he
- 36:04Speaker 1: was trying to enjoy his space. And for you to
- 36:06Speaker 1: get mad, nobody has to listen to you or not
- 36:10Speaker 1: have to have a friend recording it. Like like y'all
- 36:12Speaker 1: knew you guys, y'all, y'all knew what y'all were doing.
- 36:16Speaker 1: Like you guys were the aggressors, like you wanted to
- 36:18Speaker 1: ruffle some feathers. You wanted to get a reaction out
- 36:20Speaker 1: of him, and you had your camera ready, like come
- 36:23Speaker 1: on now. Yeah, he definitely, they definitely was this man
- 36:26Speaker 1: literally asked him fifty said, Okay, where am I listen
- 36:29Speaker 1: to your music? He said, I'm showing you my Instagram.
- 36:31Speaker 1: He was like Instagram, Like do you hear yourself? Right?
- 36:36Speaker 1: I totally agree with you, says but that's the same
- 36:38Speaker 1: thing with the baby there stalking stalking, Yeah, like what
- 36:45Speaker 1: I can't imagine what y'all, what y'all deal with like
- 36:49Speaker 1: on a regular like the two of y'all, Like I
- 36:52Speaker 1: can only imagine. Like one time we were at this
- 36:55Speaker 1: spot and the guy that works there was like, hey,
- 36:58Speaker 1: can you um I want listen to this? And I
- 37:01Speaker 1: just started speaking for him. I was like, hey, he's
- 37:03Speaker 1: said he's not gonna listen to it right now, he's
- 37:05Speaker 1: not gonna come to the studio. And Rory heard and
- 37:08Speaker 1: he was like, no, that's cool. I'll listen to it
- 37:10Speaker 1: just because he needs to being nice. But I can't imagine,
- 37:13Speaker 1: like you just you just you might be at the
- 37:15Speaker 1: damn grocers. No, this is a given the curse about
- 37:19Speaker 1: social media. I was just at the grocery store and
- 37:21Speaker 1: this dude comes up on I'm literally getting eggs bro
- 37:25Speaker 1: Like he's like, he's like, yo, I got the Midwest podcast,
- 37:28Speaker 1: blah blah blah blah, I need you on the show.
- 37:29Speaker 1: Him like, my nigga, Like that's not even the way
- 37:33Speaker 1: you approach a nigga like me or anybody, like you
- 37:35Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, But you want to be My
- 37:38Speaker 1: thing is this I tell everybody all the time, there's
- 37:41Speaker 1: no secret where I'm at when I'm hosting. There's no secret.
- 37:44Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. So figure out how to
- 37:47Speaker 1: be in the mix some way, organically and authentically so
- 37:50Speaker 1: that you are around Because when you pitch and you're
- 37:53Speaker 1: pitching nothing but you being around met nothing, You're gonna
- 37:58Speaker 1: get nothing. And I'm not gonna really think about if
- 38:00Speaker 1: you did have a time. I said that if you
- 38:02Speaker 1: do do have a talent or a skill set that
- 38:04Speaker 1: could help me, because it has to serve the person official.
- 38:09Speaker 1: I'm not gonna take the second the second offering. You
- 38:12Speaker 1: funked up the first offering around and then then you're
- 38:14Speaker 1: gonna get mad when you come around the second time.
- 38:16Speaker 1: And I ain't trying to hear all that because you're
- 38:18Speaker 1: wasted my time the first time of my time, because
- 38:21Speaker 1: your pitch wasn't organic and it was very self self
- 38:24Speaker 1: servant and it had nothing to do that that was
- 38:27Speaker 1: gonna help me, help me, help you. Hello. The fact
- 38:30Speaker 1: that people get so offended by it is what's weird
- 38:33Speaker 1: to me, Like they think we're supposed to Yeah, ahead,
- 38:37Speaker 1: you're supposed to do that. Learn how to pitch, y'all,
- 38:43Speaker 1: learn how to say it again together, And I'm gonna
- 38:47Speaker 1: put that on my I do, I do, my little
- 38:49Speaker 1: I got these little all things. It's called get a
- 38:52Speaker 1: record Deal of Doctrine. It's on my YouTube at for
- 38:54Speaker 1: our simms. That's gonna be my next episode. The person.
- 38:57Speaker 1: If you're trying to pitch too, remember when your you
- 39:01Speaker 1: knew what I like, you knew how to do it. Hello,
- 39:04Speaker 1: and you came correctly, you know, and the opportunity opened
- 39:11Speaker 1: up for it, because if I didn't, if I didn't listen,
- 39:14Speaker 1: if I he loved where I was from, he loved Washington.
- 39:16Speaker 1: I'm glad you said that. He loved d C. And
- 39:20Speaker 1: he loved light seeing, waver Head whatever. He loved Don Perry,
- 39:22Speaker 1: and he loved you know, a good I had it
- 39:24Speaker 1: all waiting. That was the entrigue that got me the job.
- 39:28Speaker 1: The monday, I didn't talk about my skill. He said,
- 39:31Speaker 1: what did you do, nigga? I said, I make it happy.
- 39:34Speaker 1: He was like, oh yeah, but hello, and I got
- 39:38Speaker 1: something for you that I had to you trying for
- 39:41Speaker 1: me to try to get you. I introduced myself to
- 39:45Speaker 1: you the first time I kind of told you what
- 39:46Speaker 1: I did. You kind of was like a cool So
- 39:48Speaker 1: I was like, damn, okay, that ain't work. Let me
- 39:50Speaker 1: figure out how to get in his element. And it
- 39:52Speaker 1: happened when I was actually you actually saw me and
- 39:54Speaker 1: the element I was hosting that prevay and then you
- 39:57Speaker 1: started you heard me, So then I want to use
- 40:00Speaker 1: myself again. I just I stayed patient until the opportunity
- 40:04Speaker 1: presented itself. Did you remind him that you had already
- 40:07Speaker 1: met or you just kept a cool also had that's
- 40:09Speaker 1: my partner that yeah, yeah, but I still I just
- 40:13Speaker 1: kept it cool, you know what I'm saying, because I
- 40:14Speaker 1: didn't want to go Oh. But that's just my personality.
- 40:17Speaker 1: Though I'm not an overbearing personality type of person I'm
- 40:20Speaker 1: not gonna go out my way unless it makes sense,
- 40:23Speaker 1: That's right, you know what I'm saying. So yeah, the
- 40:24Speaker 1: opportunity presenting itself, I try to make sure my product
- 40:27Speaker 1: was as good as it could be at the moment.
- 40:30Speaker 1: And then he acknowledged it and acknowledged me. Beautiful to
- 40:34Speaker 1: the moon, and the rest will be history. And now
- 40:37Speaker 1: tip Confucius, listen, I ain't even have to look at White.
- 40:47Speaker 1: I ain't even have to look. I knew she was
- 40:49Speaker 1: with yeah gang. And first of all, I just love
- 40:57Speaker 1: the way that my young is out here communicate that
- 41:00Speaker 1: has the whole you know what I mean. I love y'all,
- 41:03Speaker 1: I love love. I love man. Shout to love at
- 41:10Speaker 1: one time, ladies and general. For Clarence A. Von If
- 41:13Speaker 1: you do not know who the Black Godfather is, there's
- 41:16Speaker 1: a Netflix special that I'll tell you exactly who it is.
- 41:20Speaker 1: I watched it this weekend, and not only did I
- 41:23Speaker 1: watch it, I learned so much about myself and if
- 41:26Speaker 1: you are an entrepreneur, it is about taking the advantages
- 41:31Speaker 1: of the people before you and applying them to your game.
- 41:36Speaker 1: I had a story about a mentor of mind that
- 41:39Speaker 1: really doesn't know his value. Um he created Uptown Records,
- 41:45Speaker 1: the sound track to my childhood, and I tell him
- 41:48Speaker 1: every month. I called him, like, Dre, you need to
- 41:51Speaker 1: tell a story. You gotta tell people this, You gotta
- 41:53Speaker 1: talk about the people you put on. But for some reason,
- 41:56Speaker 1: I feel that Andre just feels like it wasn't enough.
- 42:00Speaker 1: But Dre was Uptown. You had puff, you had Mary J. Blige,
- 42:04Speaker 1: happy thing, you had all these things. And what I
- 42:06Speaker 1: learned from watching The Black Godfather, and I really want
- 42:09Speaker 1: you all to go watch this, was that it's not
- 42:12Speaker 1: about comparing your journey to anybody else's. It's about appreciating
- 42:16Speaker 1: your journey and knowing what you did is enough and
- 42:20Speaker 1: not just enough, but it's enough for you, because when
- 42:22Speaker 1: you get to comparing, it'll never be enough. Because guess what.
- 42:27Speaker 1: Clans Avon was at a point in our history where
- 42:30Speaker 1: blacks couldn't do nothing. So a little bit was a
- 42:33Speaker 1: lot of bit. So if you were the guy connecting
- 42:36Speaker 1: the dots back then, I mean, Hank Aaron, I'm talking
- 42:38Speaker 1: about President Bill Clinton, o'by all these people in this
- 42:41Speaker 1: document talking about this man. But there'll never be There
- 42:44Speaker 1: never be another time like it was for Clarence Avon,
- 42:47Speaker 1: just like it will never be another time like it
- 42:49Speaker 1: was for your lifestyle especially, So you gotta do you,
- 42:51Speaker 1: and you gotta be okay with it. Go forth, ball
- 42:53Speaker 1: the nation. The dream is real. It's real.
