- 0:30Nobody can hear anything that was just for that.
- 0:33You can hear us now, baby. You can hear us now on this
- 0:36beautiful Friday, Friday, November 21st, 2025, Very
- 0:42special day. Why is it a special day to have?
- 0:45I it's we're including the not including they've always been
- 0:49included, right? That we're we're being, you're
- 0:52being more accommodating to our friends across the pond.
- 0:55That's right, that's right. We have some very, very European
- 0:59friends, some very, very European listeners.
- 1:01And you know what we wanted? We wanted to make sure they got
- 1:04heard on this very special IAE. So what we're going to do today
- 1:10is also very special because I don't know if you know this tab,
- 1:13we have Twitch. Drops.
- 1:15I've heard of this. I don't know, I don't know
- 1:17anything about it. Probably be great to educate our
- 1:20listeners. So there's a really cool set of
- 1:23it looks like purple, purple and like gold, purple and yellow
- 1:26armor that they're that they're just giving away there.
- 1:30And all you got to do is you have to listen to a Star Citizen
- 1:33stream that has drops enabled, just like your good friends over
- 1:36here, open comms Radio and you listen to it for four hours or
- 1:39so and then you get the drop. So if you were lucky for you to
- 1:43tune in this morning three hours ago, well, you only have one
- 1:48more hour left and and we hope to fill it with tales from
- 1:53Levski, tales from Europe and tales from our our European
- 1:59compadres. But I do want to start the show,
- 2:01Tav. I'm asking you how you been,
- 2:05buddy. You haven't been on for a few
- 2:07few episodes now. I've been lurking.
- 2:09No, I'm, I'm still, yeah, I'm just lurker status.
- 2:13I I still, I still watch the show.
- 2:15Still. You know I'll I'll come in and
- 2:17check it out get the ponderings, but yeah, not planning a whole
- 2:20lot, but probably back now more yeah, this I'm loving the new
- 2:25the new ship so. Did you go into?
- 2:29Did you drop into IE this morning?
- 2:32Not this morning. Did did some last night fun, you
- 2:35know, around that new vandal stuff.
- 2:38Did that. OK, that was the first vandal.
- 2:42Did you get the the frozen the cryopods with the vandals in
- 2:45them? Yeah, yeah, I probably hit a few
- 2:48people in the face with them. Well, that's, I don't know where
- 2:52they go after that, but I, you know, I got them to the the
- 2:55elevator. Yeah, you got to be careful, you
- 2:59know, flailing those things around.
- 3:02And I love the new guns, the new, the new, the, the space AK
- 3:06different, different FPS experience.
- 3:07So frankly for me, like when you hear all those, the bigger ones
- 3:11going next to you, it's a it's a different firefight.
- 3:14Yeah, the space AK feels a little like actual first person
- 3:21shootery. Yeah, it's like a different FPS
- 3:23experience. It's kind of.
- 3:25I like it. Yeah, it's very classic.
- 3:27It's very much a classic. It I mean it's space AK because
- 3:31it looks and feels like an AK47. Yeah, and I love that like the
- 3:37spread after a couple, but you can still get a couple, you
- 3:40know, the first couple rounds down Ranger.
- 3:42Yeah, they're right where you're pointing.
- 3:44So yeah, love the love it and the and the LMG is a lot of fun.
- 3:51Oh, the the new one, is it the Fresno?
- 3:53Is that what it's called? The punish, Punish.
- 3:55I'm going to get this wrong. Punisher.
- 3:57It starts with P Pulverizer. Punisher.
- 3:59Pulverizer The pulver. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 4:02Yeah, yeah, yeah. I I heard that has like a lot a
- 4:05huge spread on it though. Like you can't really hit with
- 4:09that. I'm all about the atmospherics
- 4:13and you get 3 other people all with like pulverizers or squat
- 4:18of five pulverizers all shooting.
- 4:20It's just yeah, doesn't even matter if it's accurate.
- 4:23You got those are they're big rounds right?
- 4:25So. OK, OK, well, what I'm going to
- 4:30do today is a little different than our usual show and our
- 4:32usual show, we have a question every week and everyone can call
- 4:35in. We did that a couple nights ago.
- 4:37You can listen to that show on the YouTube, on Spotify, or if
- 4:40you want to listen to it, this show's a little different to
- 4:42accommodate our Europeans. No question.
- 4:45OK, It is just IAE special European spectacular.
- 4:51So we'll we'll ask our, our, our, our new guests different
- 4:54things. And we we have a guest we
- 4:54haven't heard from ever who's going to pop in here today.
- 4:58I'm going to invite him here and all he has to do is is give a
- 5:05little accept say he's OK for us to to run him on the live and
- 5:08here he is Raven Fort. Good evening or good morning
- 5:15depending on on where you are good.
- 5:17Afternoon. Hello.
- 5:19Dear Raven. It's great to be here.
- 5:22Thank you for inviting me. Thanks for coming on buddy.
- 5:25Thank you for accommodating us Europeans.
- 5:29Definitely, definitely this week's question special for our
- 5:33Europeans. How did David Hasselhoff tear
- 5:36down the Berlin Wall? With Chupa Chups, you know, like
- 5:44lollipops. I thought you were going to sing
- 5:50with the power of music. Oh well, yeah, musical is very
- 5:55powerful. So, Raven, you've been playing
- 5:57Star Citizen for a while. How long you been playing this?
- 6:00This crazy game I. Think it was 2020.
- 6:05Yeah, yeah. In the midst of COVID.
- 6:09OK. And so now that you're here,
- 6:13you're here. OK?
- 6:15So you're here five years later? Almost exactly.
- 6:18Five years later, yeah. We have a new IAE, how you
- 6:22feeling about it? What do you think?
- 6:24Well, you know, after all these years, a little bit of the the
- 6:31dream of Star Citizen magic feeling a little bit has faded.
- 6:39There are more realistic parts of the game, like it's the game
- 6:46has grown a lot in these five years.
- 6:50I remember when I when I started, you had no inventory.
- 6:54It was like global inventory. You could take out weapons every
- 7:01moment, anywhere without any problem.
- 7:03Right now it's impossible, you know, and we are on the verge of
- 7:06going to engineering. It's going to change completely
- 7:11the way we play the game completely.
- 7:13So a lot of the the dream of concept shapes what Star Citizen
- 7:22might eventually be at some point that that is gone.
- 7:26But we are starting to touch on what is actually Star Citizen
- 7:31and. What do you think?
- 7:33That is? If if you could if you could put
- 7:36it into a couple sentences here. A buggy mess, but no, I mean.
- 7:43There. You know it's hard to to answer
- 7:54right now. Since we are.
- 7:57On the verge to engineering and a lot of changes.
- 8:03I think it doesn't have doesn't reach its own identity
- 8:11completely. It's still a little bit not sure
- 8:15what the game wants to be because there we have base
- 8:17building engineering, all the FBS stuff and on the other side
- 8:22more of the flight seem still the flight model is changing.
- 8:28Some point is more Arcadia, some point more PvP focused on our
- 8:32point is more suitable for fleet, but also it's still a
- 8:41buggy mess. But it's our buggy mess.
- 8:44Do you do you think it's directionless?
- 8:47And I feel like you're saying it's like without a true
- 8:49direction. Yeah, yeah.
- 8:51I think it maybe not completely directionless, but there there's
- 8:57a clear problem in yeah, I'm not sure that Chris or whoever is
- 9:07running the the show knows. The fastest way to implement
- 9:14some of this? Some of our fixes.
- 9:17For. Desires.
- 9:21Sometimes because. Because.
- 9:22OK, so one of the main things of Star City is and it's built on
- 9:27dreams of the Baker, right? Right.
- 9:30And this is actually one of the big changes that we're getting
- 9:33this year is the first IE without concepts.
- 9:37So you're not selling the the dream anymore?
- 9:40That is true first, IE without a concept ship, without a jpg,
- 9:44yeah. Well, what are you talking
- 9:45about? Old Jpegs.
- 9:49Yeah, yeah. Oh, you're saying that?
- 9:52Oh, instead of like we just got straight new ships this time.
- 9:56Yeah, they said they're not going to, I think forever, but
- 9:59we'll see. But they they said they're not
- 10:00going to do concepts anymore. Yeah, forever is a long time.
- 10:05Oh, fate forever stuff. But.
- 10:11It it looks to be a good a good, I don't know this especially
- 10:15with the Perseus, it looks to be a good financial certainly in
- 10:19the last yeah. Much money they made yesterday.
- 10:23Dude, we went out yesterday. We had four Perseuses.
- 10:28We were just doing the Vandal missions and and I was like,
- 10:33everyone's like, which Perseus? Which, which one am I going
- 10:35into? Nobody could, nobody knew.
- 10:38Let's talk about the Perseus a little bit.
- 10:40That's the big ship of the IE10. You've seen it, right?
- 10:43Oh yeah, yeah, I, I, I love it. We melted, you know, girlfriend
- 10:47wanted it. It was like, OK, what do we got
- 10:49to melt now? I had the sacrifice.
- 10:50Yeah. Corsair.
- 10:52There was some other ships like it was like 3 ships had to be
- 10:54melted. So you have one?
- 10:56Yeah. Yep.
- 10:58Yep, Yep, we got one now because it's two.
- 11:00I mean, even as I love the Polaris, but like, get on the
- 11:03Perseus and you're like, got all these details, the blue hues.
- 11:07Like to me it looks better. Just the captain's quarters
- 11:11looks better than the Polaris, I think by.
- 11:13Yeah, by an order of magnitude. Yeah.
- 11:18The everything about the ship just seems.
- 11:20I thought the traversal to the pilot's seat was going to get
- 11:23hairy for how small it was with that elevator, but that they got
- 11:27the ladder right next to it and there's that external exit right
- 11:30off the cockpits and you got that little bonus little walking
- 11:34ground right outside the, you know, even from the bridge.
- 11:38I love that, yeah. Yeah, it's there's so many
- 11:41features on the ship that's well done to the team that did it.
- 11:46And have you noticed it looks great.
- 11:49Have you noticed that you can in the ship customizer you can set
- 11:55some of the flares in the captain's quarters?
- 12:00Did not notice that that's. What can you?
- 12:04What's in the captain's quarters?
- 12:05You have like a couple not storage areas.
- 12:12Yeah, You have a couple places where you can place some flair,
- 12:17you know, like the the bubble head and the other stuff.
- 12:19You, you, you. It's been ages.
- 12:22You can put them in the cockpit right now in this ship.
- 12:26You can put them also in the captain's quarters.
- 12:31Specified spots, Yeah, OK. Yep.
- 12:34Yeah. Well, that makes sense because
- 12:35they're selling the flare now in Nick's.
- 12:37If you go to the Nick's shops, they're they're selling it.
- 12:40That's cool. I did not know that about the
- 12:43flare, that you could actually put it right in there.
- 12:47Well, I'm going to get a little aloe.
- 12:48Plant, that's for sure. The the little camera that you
- 12:51can check outside the captain's quarters was like, I don't know,
- 12:55but from an RP for anybody that role plays the game.
- 12:57What a cool little feature. Yeah, just all sorts of little
- 13:02fun shit. About the ship Now what's
- 13:04interesting about the Perseus, and we were talking about this
- 13:07on the last show about the Med beds.
- 13:09Perseus has no Med bed and for a ship of that size, it seems
- 13:15ridiculous to not have a Med bed in it of any kind.
- 13:23But. I enjoy that it's balanced in
- 13:26that way. Like I love the fact that the
- 13:28the traversal speed on those two big turrets is slow as hell.
- 13:32I imagine any the 2 heavy fighters are going to have their
- 13:35way with the ship like. But I love the fact that it's
- 13:40balanced and doesn't have a Med bed.
- 13:44What do you think about? That with the other new ships
- 13:47that they they're often to overpower.
- 13:52Like why every ship does need to have a bed?
- 13:55What's the point of medical ships if every ships have a Med
- 13:58bed? Yeah, true.
- 14:03Worst case scenario, you can always put a nurser in the cargo
- 14:09area. Yeah, even we did that last
- 14:10night. Yeah, you just might throw a
- 14:13nurser ride in it. Yeah, yeah.
- 14:15And I, I, I agree with that. It doesn't need the mat, but
- 14:20it's, it's OK. It's not a drop ship.
- 14:23It's not a ship made for it. It doesn't need to have Mat, but
- 14:29it's perfect the way it is. So is the is the Perseus a
- 14:33gunboat? Is that what it is?
- 14:39Specifically to like bigger targets, right?
- 14:42Because I think they used to call the Redeemer A gunboat,
- 14:44right? Well, that that, that's my
- 14:46question, because it's got those two giant can what size are
- 14:48those cannons on the front of it?
- 14:50Size 8. Size 8 What's our Max size gun
- 14:56in the game? A size 10 the.
- 14:58Address and is Max and that's that's like the big one on the
- 15:01address. OK, well.
- 15:03Actually you have torps that are size 12 on the address.
- 15:05I don't know if that counts. OK.
- 15:07But not like Ballistics or or lasers.
- 15:09Or whatever. Yeah, that, that's.
- 15:13So it's got size 8 guns, which is pretty big and it's it's a
- 15:16it's a deep pretty big ship, right.
- 15:18So it's it turns. I don't know if you got a chance
- 15:21to fly it, but the yawn, the pitch and everything like it
- 15:25does feel good to fly it. And I think also because of the
- 15:29shape of it, like when you when you roll and stuff it just if it
- 15:35felt a lot lighter than I anticipated it would.
- 15:38I agree. Yep, it feel, it feels it's got
- 15:41it's zippy for, but I mean you do have two huge guns that have
- 15:45low traversal that you do need to put on target.
- 15:50You're right, it'd be. Frustrating for a pilot if it
- 15:52operated the exact same way the like the way the Polaris flies
- 15:55now, which is straight up like a bus.
- 16:00Polaris should be probably a little bit faster because it's
- 16:04supposed to be like the fastest of the.
- 16:07That was in the marketing material, right?
- 16:09Yeah, I remember that at Concept, yeah.
- 16:11The the Polaris is supposed to be the fastest of like the big
- 16:14ships or in. Yeah, they had it advertised at
- 16:17that is that it was like one of the cap like sub cap ships that
- 16:20was like the fastest, you know, faster.
- 16:23Supposed to, yeah. It's supposed to be light.
- 16:26Light armored, stealthy and fast.
- 16:32OK. Well, then that would really
- 16:33give you a difference because that was my other thing is
- 16:36between the Polaris and what's the ship called, What's the new
- 16:44ship called? Perseus.
- 16:46Perseus, Perseus, Perseus Between the Polaris and the
- 16:50Perseus it, it doesn't feel like there's too much like, you know,
- 16:54separating them. No, there's a lot of.
- 16:59Yeah, I think. Go ahead, Raven.
- 17:04There's a a huge difference in between them component wise.
- 17:11You have capitals, size components, you have Polaris, it
- 17:16has smaller tors. Like the biggest one is size 6
- 17:20compared to size 8. You have only one You have light
- 17:26armor interior. OK, you know this is a bit of a
- 17:28speculation but you have light armor versus heavy armor 50m
- 17:35longer. I think one it's made for
- 17:42intercept other capital ships and petrol.
- 17:46Petrol the systems and can operate by itself.
- 17:56Polaris purses it's made to engage in fleet battles.
- 18:01A purses by itself is useless, you cannot use it.
- 18:06Also crew, crew wise purses. I think right now you can fly
- 18:12with three people. In the future, probably four or
- 18:16five going to be enough purses you need to double that.
- 18:21You can fly the the the Perseus with three people, you say?
- 18:26Yeah. You think?
- 18:27When engineering comes in, you think you're only going to need
- 18:293 in that thing. That's it.
- 18:30It's still pretty big. With engineering I think 4, so
- 18:35the two main guns and one engineer slash all rounder,
- 18:44that's the minimum. Obviously the more you have
- 18:47better it is, but I think yeah, 4 is the minimum width engineer
- 18:52and it's still too early. I know where we need to to wait
- 18:56a month. Probably we'll know better, but.
- 19:02Yeah, because a Zeus is a three seater.
- 19:05A400I is a three seater. The the Perseus seems like it's
- 19:10got to be like four or five people if the Polaris is like 6
- 19:14to 8. Polaris is, yeah.
- 19:18Well, I I wouldn't. I'm talking minimum crew to
- 19:20operate. Yeah, and minimum viable, I
- 19:22think, yeah, three, you're going to often see three people in a
- 19:25Perseus. Most people are going to be
- 19:27like, yeah, I'll take a big gun, I'll take another big gun and
- 19:30I'll fly. I think that's most could like
- 19:32if you see a crude, I just think you're going to see a three
- 19:35person Perseus so much more if you see a five person Perseus
- 19:39and they have each. It will happen, but yeah, it's
- 19:41going to be. Be scared.
- 19:45But a three person Perseus say, I mean, I don't know what the
- 19:47equivalent is of three people in it's balanced to where it feels
- 19:52like they're this is trying to approach balance in the game a
- 19:55little bit for me. I like the.
- 19:58I like like the paladin. I think they are similar ships
- 20:02that similar roles also but similarly balanced.
- 20:05Like they are good multi crew ships with their own weakness.
- 20:09They're not overpowered. Yeah, like I, I see 3 medium
- 20:14fighters, like if three with one heavy, they should be able to
- 20:18take down a Perseus. If it's a three person crew
- 20:20Perseus, it's just situationally.
- 20:22However, that three person Perseus is going to be far
- 20:24better at taking down a cap ship than those 3 medium fighters,
- 20:30right. So I, I like that kind of
- 20:35diversity in the in the yeah, in the playfield.
- 20:40So, but we have another caller, right?
- 20:42We do. We do have another caller Rave
- 20:44and you've heard the show. You know the way it works.
- 20:46We want to get as many voices on as we can.
- 20:48So if you do want to pop into Open Comms Radio, you are are
- 20:51more than welcome to. If you are from Europe, we will
- 20:55put you in the front of the line.
- 20:58It is. Called European Exceptionalism,
- 21:01it's a it's a new thing. I've just invented it and we'll
- 21:07we'll bring you up to the front of the line, but right now this
- 21:09next guy is someone familiar. I made it up.
- 21:15I just invented. It's brilliant 2. 1000 years
- 21:20old. Anyway, our our next guest is
- 21:25not European, but quite exceptional.
- 21:27Broccoli Rob. Broccoli Rob, welcome back to
- 21:29Open Comms Radio. How you doing today?
- 21:32Thank you so much. It's good to be here.
- 21:34I just wanted to just pop in real quick, say say hi, Glad,
- 21:38glad to see we're doing some different times, glad to see we
- 21:40can get some European friendly times and just enjoying
- 21:45listening. Very good.
- 21:47You've been at the IAE recently. I haven't talked to you about
- 21:50it. What do you think?
- 21:53We have all these new ships. We we were just talking about
- 21:55the Perseus, but any, any ship that really caught your eye
- 21:59here. I am going back and forth.
- 22:04I do like what the Gollum ox looks like, got to wait and see
- 22:11officially how it flies. But I've always loved the MPUV
- 22:15and if I just get a larger MPUVI would be a happy camper.
- 22:21OK, why do you want that? Open cargo, kind of no frills,
- 22:31just sort of like a cockpit and a truck bed feels like almost
- 22:38like a a space S10. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, 'cause
- 22:42you got that. You got that with the Drake.
- 22:46Yeah, you know, Yeah, yeah. So that's why I'm so you said
- 22:51like I'd like to have a bigger MPUV, but that's kind of what
- 22:54you got with the Drake. So they delivered on that.
- 22:58Yeah, Yeah. It's like a mini raft.
- 23:00It's just you can take. How big of a container can you
- 23:04take on that? It's just the one.
- 23:06The long one, right, 232. Yeah, you can take 2230 twos.
- 23:10230 twos. Oh, that's a lot, dude.
- 23:13That's more cargo than you can get in.
- 23:16A lot. Same as a whole.
- 23:16Yeah, it's same as a whole. A OK, OK, You can be flying that
- 23:23around broccoli, Rob. Think so?
- 23:25I'll have, Leia said. I have to see how it handles.
- 23:27I have to see if I do actually like it.
- 23:31Seeing in person I liked it, but actually getting behind the the
- 23:34sticks is going to be a different thing.
- 23:37Now are you? You're taking advantage of the
- 23:39rental. I will be once.
- 23:43Always taking it because. Drake's not even Drake hasn't
- 23:45dropped yet. It's It's Oregon Day.
- 23:48Right. So you can, but this year
- 23:51because before they had it like early on where you could you
- 23:53click the ship and it would rent it for you and then they move
- 23:56that to kiosks. Is it still on the kiosks?
- 24:00I believe it will be. The ability to rent like you
- 24:04walk up to the kiosk and do it. Yeah.
- 24:07OK, OK, OK. Other than that, have we
- 24:11surprised by IE at all? No, I was surprised at how much
- 24:18I enjoyed Talking Shop, which I know may be an unpopular
- 24:22opinion, but they're sorry to bring that up here.
- 24:27I haven't checked it out, I'm curious.
- 24:30Well, there was just the drama is that we lost our cruise luck
- 24:34sponsor and then like the week or two after we lose it, we see
- 24:41they go on to this, this show. It's bigger fish.
- 24:43It's bigger fish and go on to manufacturers.
- 24:49Dropped us and they're on talking shop now, so we're going
- 24:52to get them back. We're we're hoping to get them
- 24:53back sometime soon. But the European market wasn't
- 24:56large enough. I said we were doing a Europe
- 24:58show and they were like pass. We also had conflicting reports
- 25:02about what was in the what comprised of the Cruise Lux.
- 25:06So yeah, I don't blame, I don't blame them.
- 25:09We got a little wishy washy there, but they'll be back.
- 25:13They'll be back. They'll be back.
- 25:16Yeah, we'll have them back. So this patch, Raven man, you've
- 25:21been, you've been playing this patch, you've done.
- 25:24A little bit. Thanks, I'm going to go back to
- 25:26listening. Good talking to y'all.
- 25:28Oh, really? Quick broccoli.
- 25:30Have you done the right before you're out?
- 25:33Have you done the the new? They just reminded me of ACZI
- 25:36was in somewhere last night and I was like, wait a second, this
- 25:39looks familiar. And it was the sea.
- 25:44Have you been to an area like that's in next to, I guess
- 25:49Levski that's looked reminded? I don't want to spoil anything.
- 25:53Yeah. And I was, I was very surprised
- 25:55to see to see that, but it makes sense.
- 25:58Did you do what I did? I I got to like the middle.
- 26:00I was like the burning thing. It like attracted me and I don't
- 26:03want no spoilers here. So, you know, and I was just
- 26:05like how this looks familiar. OK, yeah, I walked up to it and
- 26:09then I, I looked around. I was like, I've I've been here
- 26:12before, looks much nicer now. Yeah, yeah.
- 26:16Oh, that's great. Anyway, we'll we'll get in there
- 26:18together sometime soon. Yeah, absolutely.
- 26:21All right. Thanks y'all.
- 26:22Thank you, Broccoli. Thanks for stopping by,
- 26:24Broccoli. Look at that.
- 26:28And then he just leaves. See how I upgraded the room
- 26:30here. That's such a.
- 26:31Habit this is This is the first time I've done this.
- 26:34Listeners can't tell, but the the back end here on the
- 26:37Discord. I learned some things and I
- 26:40figured out how to do things smoother and it's been, it's
- 26:42been a rough transition, but I think it's it works out.
- 26:44Got that new functionality? Now look at that.
- 26:46Yeah, yeah, yeah, we're we're like getting professional over
- 26:49here. OK, you need.
- 26:52To get the the sponsor back right.
- 26:55Professionalism. Well, I'd love to get the Cruise
- 26:59Look sponsor back, but that would mean dropping this next
- 27:01caller and maybe not having them on the show.
- 27:07Now we got, I mean, at this point.
- 27:11I'm not sure if we're going to get any sponsors anymore, but
- 27:14this next guy, he calls in just about every week.
- 27:17Wicket, Wicket, you're invited on to open Comms Radio, your
- 27:21Star Citizen call in show this week.
- 27:23We don't have a question for you this week.
- 27:25I just want to say IAE special European Spectacular.
- 27:31Citizens. Long time listener, occasional
- 27:35caller. Are you awakened?
- 27:43I just want to preface everything from saying is that
- 27:46ever since my last appearance on open comms I had to go back to
- 27:53old Earth and unfortunately my computer network here in Old
- 28:01Earth, it's heavily D dosed by the slam lobby and I'm currently
- 28:07on a backup Internet connection through a hotspot on these
- 28:12things called cellular phones. It's amazing technology, I'm
- 28:16surprised it even works. But my primary Internet has been
- 28:22severed by the slam lobby, and that just goes to show you how
- 28:30they'll in They'll infiltrate every level of society to
- 28:34undermine the delicious taste the crew looks.
- 28:40And I'm not apologizing. For that, that's why they're.
- 28:43You think that's why they're? Somebody even mentioned, yeah,
- 28:48they're trying to infiltrate. This is how they're trying to
- 28:50smuggle the Slam into society through Delicious, wholesome,
- 28:57hearty and fulfilling drinks like Cruz Lux.
- 29:02Why do they pick? Cruz.
- 29:03Lux because it's the number one refreshing drink in the verse.
- 29:08So these jokers are trying to infiltrate with this slam to try
- 29:14to get to undermine society. It's unbelievable.
- 29:18Right, No wonder. So no wonder you are having
- 29:21trouble. Opening the gates to these other
- 29:23systems, because the SLAM is infiltrating the development of
- 29:28the of the of the warp gates so we can get into other systems.
- 29:31That's why we're stuck. It sounds like it sounds like
- 29:34you're saying a little. Three corner of the Internet
- 29:36here or the the verse. It sounds like you're admitting
- 29:42that Cruise Locks does in fact have SLAM in it.
- 29:46No, you're. Totally misreading the
- 29:48situation. I'm saying they're trying.
- 29:50To you're saying they're putting the slam in the cruise?
- 29:52Yeah, they are infiltrating it and getting people addicted.
- 29:54They're putting it. In.
- 29:56That's that's the only reason. That's the only thing that I
- 29:58could come to the conclusion of, because that guy, Anubis little
- 30:03Blueskin, he's always going on and off about it because you
- 30:06know, they're addicted to all kinds of stuff.
- 30:08The Blueskins are. And.
- 30:10He must have got a bad batch and he just thought that's how it
- 30:13was. But no, this is a family drink.
- 30:18Raven, you're from Europe? Do they allow SLAM in the cruise
- 30:22locks in Europe? Yes, this guy talk this.
- 30:29This. This people.
- 30:30Eating, flipping, flying skirt wearing Roman No.
- 30:39I used to work with AI, used to work with a cook and, you know,
- 30:43over and he was in Italy for a couple years and, you know, just
- 30:49trying to be a chef there. And he got sick and he went to
- 30:53like the local doctor, whatever. And she gave him like straight,
- 30:58he's like, man, it came out of there and it was like she gave
- 31:00him straight speed. Like, really.
- 31:04Yeah. And he was like, it, it worked.
- 31:07And I was like, that's a hey, that's, that's A, and apparently
- 31:12it's always been an old, you know, that's how they used to
- 31:14treat a lot of, a lot of illness.
- 31:17Which is speed. Coke, anything.
- 31:20I mean, yeah, sure. I've never heard of a doctor
- 31:23prescribing cokers. And speeds over here.
- 31:27With the immediate bullshit call, no.
- 31:30I. It was.
- 31:32Maybe it was a special doctor or another kind of doctor, you
- 31:35know. Listen, listen to the Roman
- 31:37immediately deflecting and and trying to sub, you know,
- 31:42subjugate us into their ideology of slam and and widespread
- 31:47rampant drug use. It's.
- 31:49Undeniable. I don't.
- 31:51Even know why we're in Europe, man, these Europeans.
- 31:54They're they're they're. They're anti freedom.
- 31:57They're anti liberty. All they are is a bunch of drug
- 32:00users. Unbelievable.
- 32:01All right, Well, back to Star Citizen.
- 32:04Do you? I thought we were.
- 32:05Talking Star Citizen. Slam.
- 32:09Fair enough. They're.
- 32:09Slam. Fair enough, fair enough, fair
- 32:12enough. So there is slam and start
- 32:14citizen and there also is a new Alpha wolf.
- 32:16But there's none in Cruise Lux, I can tell you that.
- 32:19And I know that while you're sipping down in your hearty
- 32:21cruise, Lux Raven, I know you're especially you had do you?
- 32:26Did you fly the new wolf? It's not out yet, I think.
- 32:30I don't think you really I don't think so.
- 32:33Maybe in the PTU because. You play in flight in PTU.
- 32:36Maybe that's what I was thinking.
- 32:37I don't know. I thought yesterday I was going
- 32:39around. Very sexy, but.
- 32:42I've got an emergency cruise lux delivery at the door so I'll
- 32:46I'll have to step away for a moment.
- 32:47I'll be right back. OK, I like the fact that it
- 32:53doesn't look like it has the underfin on it, which a lot of
- 32:56people complained about. Yeah, I don't know about that.
- 32:58Yeah, Yeah. I don't like the Underfin.
- 33:01I think it was a little bit of a yeah, not a good idea.
- 33:10Do you feel like they put it in just to have it glide through
- 33:13the the water like they do? You know they fly.
- 33:18Low and the water's shooting up and they're like, look at this
- 33:21cool water effect. They're like, we need a a ship
- 33:23that will do that. I think that they saw the scene.
- 33:27It was one of the Star Wars movies, you know, the one in the
- 33:31white desert with the red sun and.
- 33:35In the White Desert. Oh, oh, the the new one, the
- 33:37last. We don't talk about that movie.
- 33:39Yeah, I don't know. I don't really like it, but that
- 33:42scene was nice. Probably they wanted to do
- 33:43something like that. Yeah, it was actually a really
- 33:48pretty scene. I'm not that would that that was
- 33:50one of the scenes that got me most excited for that that
- 33:52movie. That's probably the only thing,
- 33:55right? I liked it when he was like,
- 33:58it's time for the Jedi to end. And I was like, oh, what are
- 34:01they going to do? And then I was like, I don't
- 34:07even know. I don't understand what's
- 34:08happening. So many lines, just like yeah.
- 34:15Well, because that movie started up with Poe flies in front of
- 34:19the Star Destroyer and like Leia's like, you know, being
- 34:23like the general or whatever on the Comm and he flies it by
- 34:27himself. And he, he makes like your mom
- 34:30joke. He's like, Oh, yeah, it's the,
- 34:33it's, it's the. Definition of not having tone
- 34:37appreciation at any sense in your movie.
- 34:40Yeah, yeah. From that line I was smiling and
- 34:45then he said that and I stopped smiling.
- 34:52I can't. Hear that I was with, I was with
- 34:54my brothers and like a friend of ours and my mom.
- 34:57And the end of the movie, we all walk out and we it's just kind
- 35:00of like quiet, right? And then, oh, yeah.
- 35:03And so I forget who goes, someone goes like, So what do
- 35:06you think we're like? And we all just immediately
- 35:08start complaining about it. And my mom was like, oh, I
- 35:11actually liked it. I thought it was a lot of fun.
- 35:15The keys dangling right in front of your face Can be, can be.
- 35:20I was like, we were like, Mom, you don't even like Star Wars.
- 35:24No, let's see, it's Mystery Science 3000.
- 35:26Like to do a bad movie of that with a group of friends is still
- 35:29a guilty pleasure. It's yeah, even Raven, I
- 35:31remember watching one. It's like, oh, I'll never forget
- 35:35it. Why would they have the voice
- 35:37authentication on a spaceship to, like, open a door?
- 35:42Because they had one oxygen leak or whatever and none of them
- 35:45could speak or breathe and they couldn't open the door.
- 35:47You could just sit there. Like, that's the dumbest thing.
- 35:55This is so dumb. But yeah, I love it.
- 35:58I really. Well thought.
- 36:00I laughed the crazy. The crazy thing about those
- 36:02movies is, like hundreds of people watch them as they're
- 36:06being made. And there's like, you know,
- 36:09probably dozens of cuts of those movies and still, like, the
- 36:15silliest. Dumbest, yeah.
- 36:17Yeah, it's like who's? Yeah, I don't really see too
- 36:22many people. Or you could say the same thing
- 36:25for our ships in the game, like how many blatant mistakes in
- 36:29ships we have. That's very true.
- 36:34I'm right now flying the Stinger and the Stinger did not like it
- 36:37was like so weird and like buggy in weird ways when it first came
- 36:41out like it looked buggy. It was like the assets were
- 36:45buggy and I was like the. Textures the texture were were
- 36:48low resolution compared. To Yeah.
- 36:51Yeah. I walked in and I was like
- 36:53what's going on? This is so weird and how does I?
- 36:56Don't know if it was, yeah. I don't know if it was a wrong
- 36:59LOD setting or just the assets from Squadron 42 that didn't
- 37:03port it well in the Citizen. Yeah.
- 37:08How's the ship itself? How's it fly?
- 37:09I mean, do you like the ship? Stinger's cool.
- 37:13It's. It's I, I think everyone has a
- 37:16very similar opinion about it, where I love everything about
- 37:20it. I love its sound.
- 37:21I love like the look of it. I I love even love the feel of
- 37:27it, but it's just you're just such a target in it.
- 37:31You can't turn properly. Your pitch and your Yaw is very,
- 37:36very slow. Even against like the computer
- 37:39when you're doing Pve stuff, it's difficult.
- 37:43So PvP, forget about it. I've tried it dude.
- 37:45No way. You're not going to.
- 37:47If someone's in an arrow or or any light fighter, even most of
- 37:52the fighters, they're just going to spin around you.
- 37:54They're you're never going to get your nose on them.
- 37:56It's not even that tanky, right? And that, yeah, I.
- 37:59Think I fight this tank here? It is not tanky, it should.
- 38:04I expected this to be super tanky.
- 38:07The wings just like snap off. It's super hard to pilot after.
- 38:14And yeah, in pot, even in space, it's like, I don't know why.
- 38:17It doesn't make any sense. It's impossible to pilot you
- 38:22just like you, if you're like, if your port side wing comes
- 38:25off, you like won't be able to turn left or whatever.
- 38:28It's like something crazy like that.
- 38:31It's very neat ship like. Me a lot of the Have you ever
- 38:38watched Stargate? That that glider?
- 38:41I think they're called the goat. The same forward wing angle.
- 38:49It's like a backwards manta. Charlie looks like a horseshoe
- 38:52crab from the rear. Like they're stuck in there
- 38:56like. Yeah, but it is special because
- 38:59it does have this special jump animation, right?
- 39:03It's got or this red kind of. And that's really cool.
- 39:06They just added that this batch and it's got.
- 39:08A purple interior. So yeah, the red is cool and the
- 39:11dash is, you know, the fun little Yeah, the fun UI changes.
- 39:17The dash is, it's useful. The dash is really, really
- 39:20useful. If you log, if you hit log onto
- 39:23the stream right now, Raven, you'll see it 'cause I'm flying.
- 39:27The dash is one of the cleanest, most useful.
- 39:30You can see everything. If I if I had my my Moby tracker
- 39:35on or whatever it is not my Moby, my Toby find my Toby
- 39:38tracker on yeah, you'd see it. You you see my head turn and you
- 39:46can see everything in it. So this is actually been
- 39:49surprisingly my favorite ship of the of the year.
- 39:53A lot of the ships during this IEE like the one ROB.
- 39:55Was talking about. The Drake cargo on, I think it's
- 39:57good, I think it's useful, but it's just not.
- 40:03It's just not what like for me, it's just not what I'm looking
- 40:06for. I'm even with its faults, I much
- 40:09prefer the Stinger to like a lot of other ships.
- 40:12Oh, even watching you turn in it, yeah, it's gotta.
- 40:15Oh yeah. But one thing it's I don't know
- 40:18if they fix it, but like the interior you had only 1 gun rack
- 40:22I think and one fuse box and that's it.
- 40:25A lot of empty space. It's still the case of they
- 40:29added something more. I don't know honestly, because I
- 40:36just kind of get I use as a fighter, I just kind of like get
- 40:38in it and go. But one thing that I do know and
- 40:41I don't know if this is exclusive to the Stinger, but
- 40:44when I set my my weapon like modes like when you set to shoot
- 40:51this gun with this button and this gun with that button, it
- 40:54doesn't save. So at like right now, every time
- 40:58I do it every time I purchase not doing it how I set it up.
- 41:03So I have to go in and reset that every single time.
- 41:07In my experience, all the other ships it would save for.
- 41:10Am I am I wrong? That I don't know.
- 41:18Good question, It's been a while since I last done it, so sure it
- 41:22used. Yeah.
- 41:24Back in the days, it didn't save it for sure.
- 41:26I think it changed one year ago, two years ago, something like
- 41:31that. Yeah, I thought they updated it,
- 41:33but for some reason the Stinger, it doesn't do it.
- 41:35It always shoots because you have that like.
- 41:37Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait. I think it persists if you have
- 41:43the same ship and you don't claim it.
- 41:47But once you claim it. Yeah, once you claim it, it gets
- 41:50reset for sure. I think if you just get out of
- 41:53the ship and get back in the ship, it should persist.
- 41:57You store it, I don't. Know, is that fair?
- 42:03I guess that's fair. I wonder if cuz if it's the
- 42:05weapon groupings, is there any way to shoot the Perseus's main
- 42:09guns? Can you shoot those two at a
- 42:11time? I know they showed it in the
- 42:12trailer and I saw it and I was like, yeah, I'm talking about
- 42:18like, yeah. Of the.
- 42:21Cannons and the Gatlings firing at the same time.
- 42:25I think you can, I haven't tried yet.
- 42:28Shooting from the turret should be able to.
- 42:32There are two weapon groups, so if you set them both to the same
- 42:36should work. Interest.
- 42:40So it's got to be on the MFD inside the turret.
- 42:43OK Alex, more to explore. Yeah, so the wolf looks cool, IE
- 42:53I'm loving it, I'm loving Nyx, I'm loving everything about Nyx.
- 42:56It's a shame we can't mine any of these rocks in around Levski
- 42:59and shit because right now Nyx is basically just one big
- 43:03asteroid ring. The new mission, whatever
- 43:06mission set out there that I got tagged into, it was fun.
- 43:09It was a series of space engagements matched with areas
- 43:14to clear any opponents. I don't know about the AI.
- 43:17The AI has got now every three patches it seems to take a leap
- 43:22forward or they just have better guns where I was and they were
- 43:25shooting those new Pulverizer LMGS and yeah, those will drop
- 43:29you pretty quick. So I like that.
- 43:32It just feels like it's more challenging.
- 43:34Everything's just more challenging.
- 43:36Yeah, even just flying in in space isn't as empty.
- 43:41Index space is just it feels more full.
- 43:45And I think because when you got it and you saw that it was only
- 43:50a few locations, I think a lot of people were like really
- 43:53disappointed. But even without the planets and
- 43:57stuff it, and maybe it's just because you're forced to go out,
- 44:00but they have a lot of these missions like in space and with
- 44:04all the rocks and everything, it just feels very full.
- 44:10So you. Think about the the rocks they
- 44:13they are in these straight lines.
- 44:14Straight lines. I noticed that they're like
- 44:16planted trees. Yeah, yeah.
- 44:19I don't know if it's a bugger, it's on purpose.
- 44:23Is that realistic? I.
- 44:25Think it does have a symmetry to it, but I don't know about that
- 44:28like. Everything.
- 44:30That is so static it's. Yeah, it's weird.
- 44:36But also they'd be moving, wouldn't they?
- 44:40Right. So imagine if they were, or
- 44:44maybe they plan, if they plan to have these like rocks moving,
- 44:50you're you're not going to want them random like that because
- 44:52you're going to die all the time.
- 44:55I don't know, but if you take I don't know the the belt around
- 45:01yellow. Yeah.
- 45:04And this or even the the iron hello.
- 45:08It's more seems at least more realistic.
- 45:12Not talking about the the each rock, but the the disposition,
- 45:16the feel when you fly in it. So this is, this is just like
- 45:21another thing like with the cities and stuff that they're
- 45:23like they're gonna have probably a second iteration on.
- 45:28Definitely. Maybe.
- 45:30I don't know. I don't know if that's supposed
- 45:31to be realistic though. Like are there, you know,
- 45:34because it's, it's also crazy if you think about space, how
- 45:38everything does just kind of revolve on like a flat.
- 45:42It's not really flat, but like a flattish plane, you know,
- 45:47everything orbits like the same way with like these rocks and
- 45:51and rings and stuff. I'm not, not really.
- 45:57Not really. Yeah, a little bit like that.
- 45:59There is a plane, yes, but there's stuff that is not in the
- 46:02same plane. It is interesting.
- 46:08The plane forms in the disc through the same force of, you
- 46:12know, centripetal force, right? Is that, am I the only that
- 46:15might be a dunce? I'm going to shut my mouth.
- 46:19I was just thinking. I was like, wait a second.
- 46:21These form like the same way. That's why you see rings and
- 46:25rings right around planets and sort of rings.
- 46:28Yeah. You spin with the force of
- 46:30gravity, and you spin with the force of gravity and naturally
- 46:32goes to the. To the to the poles.
- 46:39And it just works that way in space too, it doesn't matter
- 46:43what. Side physics, right?
- 46:45There's just no gravity. But there is gravity, but the
- 46:49the gravity is what keeps the. The gravity is what pulls
- 46:51everything together. OK OK so maybe this does make
- 46:55sense to have them like clump up and shit like that.
- 46:59That was we clearly need an expert because that was the most
- 47:02amateur assessment any of us. Made that's called someone from
- 47:05PBS. PBS based on.
- 47:09I don't know dude, I saw PBS doing some UFO stuff recently.
- 47:13So when I spin the top on my table, I noticed yeah.
- 47:20Do you guys watch PBS over there?
- 47:22Do you watch like Antiques Roadshow and stuff?
- 47:24Raven. No, I watch on YouTube some PBS
- 47:28like PBS ions and PBS Space-time.
- 47:31Yeah, they have good space content.
- 47:34But yeah, no, no TV, just the YouTube part.
- 47:39All right, So what are you guys looking forward to doing in this
- 47:42next patch? In the next patch or in the next
- 47:47patch? The knit is Knicks patch, The
- 47:50whole Knicks patch. You could you could count what's
- 47:53coming in next patch, too. What are you looking forward to?
- 47:57Oh, next patch engineering for sure.
- 47:59I want to try and see how. Change.
- 48:02The game right now mostly like a long explorer.
- 48:10I still have to try the the Vandal missions.
- 48:14You haven't seen one. No, no, not yet.
- 48:17I I've just done some intersect. It had a it had a there was a
- 48:21strong reminder of the contested type zone gameplay loop to me
- 48:26with the the Vandu mission, but it was still with the new guns,
- 48:29harder hitting enemies, whatever they you know, Yeah, it's great
- 48:33fun. Oh, Skitty was writing in chat
- 48:38about our Oh, the aggression. Yeah.
- 48:43OK, well Tav, can you read it? When a system forms, the nebula
- 48:47will collapse along a plane where the gravity becomes the
- 48:49strongest as a matter, as the matter collects, which also
- 48:53create creates the spinning. Yeah.
- 48:55So it is kind of. Yeah, That's that's yeah.
- 48:58That was what was in my head without words, but that makes
- 49:01sense. Skater can just skater.
- 49:04We're not used to having such an active chat, so we will make a
- 49:09point to look at your chat more often 'cause Skeeter's Skeeter's
- 49:13been laying down facts maybe for quite a while, and we just
- 49:17haven't seen it. Yeah, that makes sense.
- 49:19Gravity is the strongest at the planes.
- 49:20Yeah, that makes OK. Well, gravity is the planes.
- 49:23The planes form where gravity is, right?
- 49:27Yeah. But it's.
- 49:29I mean a long a plane, but like that is we're just saying that's
- 49:33the plane, but that's just where gravity formed.
- 49:36Spinning is what creates it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think, yeah.
- 49:42Maybe I'm wrong, Skeeter, maybe you can you can correct us if
- 49:45we're wrong. Need visual aids?
- 49:49So the, the the vandal missions, the coolest thing about them is
- 49:53not their size, which is impressive.
- 49:57It's not their character model. So far we've only really I you
- 50:00can correct me if anyone else has seen differently.
- 50:03We've only seen vandal corpses. We haven't actually fought a
- 50:09vandal in FPS. Yeah.
- 50:11Correct as. Far as I can dismiss.
- 50:15These guys were tanky though. Who, Who was tank?
- 50:20Oh, the guys on the mission were tanky.
- 50:21Yeah, but they weren't Vandool or anything.
- 50:23But we we have seen frozen Vandool cryopods and you can
- 50:28collect the Vandool cryopods. You can sell the Vandool
- 50:30cryopods. And this is like, it feels like
- 50:35bounty hunting is just like, shoot something and do cargo.
- 50:41If that's what it is. Which I guess that's what it is,
- 50:45but I never like thought about that.
- 50:46I'm like, yeah, you just like shoot something and then like
- 50:48you take it. I don't want to be cynical for a
- 50:51moment, but to be cynical for a moment like it.
- 50:55I do love the new. The new Vandal missions was
- 50:57exciting because it's all new. But I guess there is like a lot
- 50:59of still content I'd like to go back and test to see how the
- 51:03rest of because you know how some of these older missions
- 51:06broke. Oh yeah, they break from patch
- 51:09to patch. I'd love to see if how does is
- 51:11Hathor still working? Can you go through both worm
- 51:14missions all the way through without an issue?
- 51:18And if that's the case, all right, well, there's, there's a
- 51:20good at least seven or six or seven good drivable experiences,
- 51:25right, to take a friend through. That's a really good point.
- 51:28Yeah. I mean, are these missions that
- 51:30are they are being put in, are they staying?
- 51:34Yeah, I'd love to see some fixes.
- 51:36I I mean I've only been to this new vandal thing since the patch
- 51:39drop, but I'd love to go back to test all the, you know, hit hit
- 51:43up some of the old favourites. Hathaway I never even I again.
- 51:48I don't really mind but be interesting to see if Hathaway
- 51:51works. Yeah, because you know what,
- 51:56with that kind of perspective in mind, if a new mission comes in,
- 52:00I don't particularly like it. I don't care if it's adding to a
- 52:03library, like if the mission comes in and out like it,
- 52:06someone else will like it as long as we're like growing the,
- 52:09our, our, our inventory here. And shit's not just like being
- 52:13forgotten about into the, you know.
- 52:15Yeah, 'cause that's a, you know, you don't want to.
- 52:17I don't want to take a friend in and be like, hey, six months ago
- 52:21this Hathor thing was a lot of fun and then and then and then I
- 52:24take them there and it's just a desert.
- 52:26Nothing works, which has been indicative of prior patches, but
- 52:33I I would love to see some of these missions at least
- 52:35maintained because you want to have variety.
- 52:36If you get in there with a group of friends, you're like, hey,
- 52:38what's everybody want to do? Oh, we have, we can go out to
- 52:40Nick's, we can stay and stand. We can go out to Pyro.
- 52:44Like I love having the options with a small group of friends.
- 52:48Like if you get in, it's just one thing.
- 52:52It's just less enticing. I think we've lost a lot of
- 52:56mission types since 4.0, right? Oh yeah.
- 52:59Oh yeah, I could. Yeah, I could go.
- 53:02I mean, Ghost Hollow jump # the investigation, investigation.
- 53:07Yeah, this. So Ghost Hollow still doesn't
- 53:10work I imagine. Or it doesn't even exist.
- 53:12It probably doesn't exist anymore.
- 53:14It doesn't make sense. Love that one.
- 53:17There was that's and that was a cool little area on micro tech.
- 53:23All the delivery package are. Are they working package
- 53:26delivery missions? Are they even packing?
- 53:30I I'm doing a package delivery mission right now in Levski.
- 53:33OK, not opening. In their defense, if 4 point O
- 53:38made them had to refactor the entire mission system then OK I
- 53:42understand Like let's keep adding to it then if we can
- 53:46never go back to all the cool stuff on like.
- 53:48I think they're trying to bring Orson back, or at least they
- 53:51said they were in a video. Yeah, they said they're going to
- 53:53do instance, right? Yeah, yeah.
- 53:56So I guess we're getting that. We're getting CG Orson back
- 53:59there were. Do you remember the platform
- 54:01missions on Orison that wasn't Siege of Orison?
- 54:04Yeah, I was meaning that one, not siege.
- 54:09Yeah, those missions, those were, I love those missions.
- 54:13They showed. And Orson's a great looking city
- 54:16to where you can show your friends like, yeah, here we are
- 54:19on battling it out in Cloud City.
- 54:21Like anybody could accept the mission.
- 54:24It wasn't a special event. Yeah.
- 54:27You just love to see some of that come back.
- 54:29But I, I, I in their defense, I appreciate it.
- 54:33Probably with some refactor they did with the mission system and
- 54:36that probably broke all of them. But so.
- 54:39In the logic, so it made sense, but yeah, the library.
- 54:43Hear me out about this OK see divorcing you're on those
- 54:48platforms. We can as a community, like how
- 54:52hell divers is like their community events.
- 54:54We can like have a big Pve event.
- 54:58So we're actually fighting for these platforms, right?
- 55:02And then at the end of it, depending like how successful we
- 55:05are, either those platforms or either like Crusader, the city,
- 55:13like it's damage to it or it's taken over completely or
- 55:16something like, or we saved it. And then they can like go from
- 55:21there. If the, if it's been taken over
- 55:23completely, you have missions to try to liberate it.
- 55:27Or if it's, if it's been saved or whatever, or damaged, they'd
- 55:31do like humanitarian delivery missions or like refugee rescue
- 55:35missions and stuff. So like they can keep adding
- 55:38based on what they like the outcomes of what they do.
- 55:42Like missions with the meaning that can have a tax.
- 55:45A good idea? We had something like that with
- 55:48the what was the resource driven?
- 55:53The one when they where they changed the name of the jump
- 55:56point. They started it.
- 55:58Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That was an in game change.
- 56:01I had consequences. A small one, but it was small.
- 56:05Then you get the what is a 5% deduction on prices for Hurston?
- 56:10So it was small. But yeah, but now, now that you
- 56:13see that, now you can have Hurston missions like taking
- 56:17going out from that station or that station can become like a
- 56:22contested, A contested point. Like that's what they were said
- 56:24they were going to do with the stations in Pyro.
- 56:27And that's what the contested zones were, were those were the
- 56:30places you fight it out. But.
- 56:34Before they launched Pyro, my understanding of Pyro was
- 56:36different. I thought that was like, hey,
- 56:38once I'm out of the hangar, I can shoot somebody.
- 56:40Like, yeah, I understand how that might be untenable for the
- 56:45masses, but I was really excited just to like, this is the Wild
- 56:51West. Like, but I I, yeah, gameplay
- 56:56doesn't really quite work that way.
- 56:57And you probably have to put them in zones.
- 57:01You ever seen there? Like Speaking of this type of
- 57:04stuff, is there we ever thought about their like Oregon org?
- 57:07I've always thought that there could be 4, let's say take 4
- 57:10orgs, pick a point of interest and just have one day and who
- 57:15whatever org controls the thing for the most of the day wins.
- 57:21Does that seem? I mean, I mean, but no, it
- 57:24doesn't seem so dumb. And they have to pay US money,
- 57:27the losers, because we're going to win.
- 57:28Yeah, well, it'd be a for an org thing.
- 57:29It'd be a pride thing, right? So everybody would be motivated
- 57:32to like put 5 orgs in the in the bucket and just say a picking in
- 57:36point of interest apoi. Oh.
- 57:39Isn't the the thing with the hospitalizations they they were
- 57:42talking last year for one point OI.
- 57:47Think the. Something like.
- 57:49That you talking about making the orbital stations the new
- 57:52jump towns or? No, no.
- 57:54I think if you remember when they were talking about the
- 57:59plans for one Point O, they were saying that in low SEC sectors
- 58:06they're going to have like orbital stations that you have
- 58:10to fight for the control of it and then you can like use it as
- 58:15a shield for the planet or something like that.
- 58:19You know, I do vaguely remember this.
- 58:21I I do remember them mentioning this.
- 58:24I thought that's what they were starting off with with the pyro
- 58:28stations. I thought that's what that was.
- 58:29It was a pyro station. Yeah, probably, yeah.
- 58:31Yeah, I thought it was like checkmate and stuff and they
- 58:33just because someone asked on like spectrum or something about
- 58:36like oh so like where is the like rest of this?
- 58:39And I just remember, like, seeing this, they were like, Oh,
- 58:42yeah, it's we're doing it like iteratively, like it has been a
- 58:46year to zero, yeah. Right.
- 58:50Yeah. So we're like, we're still there
- 58:52even though we're getting all this cool stuff and even though
- 58:54we're having a good time and everything, you're still like,
- 58:56oh, what what about that? What about that?
- 58:59You know, what about that reputation?
- 59:02Like it's common. So, but that also speaks to why
- 59:06they didn't do a big citizen con this year.
- 59:09Right, Yeah, I still think, you know, the community, the
- 59:13community's still so active. Like I mean, even these down,
- 59:17even what I would think would be a down time for me for star
- 59:20season. I mean, there's still you know,
- 59:23the groups I'm in are still very active with the game.
- 59:25So yeah, I think just an org, an org be org pick APOI have one
- 59:30day and that way each org could approach the problem.
- 59:33I mean, you could do a drop ship part at one point, you could go
- 59:37in there with Perseus as a different point.
- 59:39You could drop, we can drop the mix and experiment with that if
- 59:43you're an org and like, but you'd have human opponents on
- 59:46the whole side and it'd just be one day.
- 59:49Schedule it a month in advance and then have 4 orgs fight over
- 59:52Apoi. You know, I think that would be,
- 59:55it'd be like an org created jump town, but it would be a little
- 1:00:00bit it would change, it would switch it up from the constant.
- 1:00:03All right, everything is typically contested zone.
- 1:00:06So just a more variety, you know?
- 1:00:10Yeah, and human opponents would, yes, it would all be PvP, so.
- 1:00:17Dude, I think as much as people complain about it, I think Raven
- 1:00:22you'd agree with this. The human opponents is is where
- 1:00:26it's at. The PvP is where this game's
- 1:00:29going to get like its longevity from.
- 1:00:33Probably, yeah, even even if you are not into PvP, but just the
- 1:00:39fact that you are in a PvP universe.
- 1:00:44Yeah, yeah. Just the notion that like and
- 1:00:48and and, you know. Driving.
- 1:00:51Yeah, like driving those missions from that idea,
- 1:00:54building more missions off of that, right.
- 1:00:57As long as space is never instanced I'm OK with the
- 1:01:01sacrifices they want to make towards having more Co-op
- 1:01:04gameplay unimpeded by trolling people.
- 1:01:08As long as they don't do it with space.
- 1:01:10If they start doing it with space and you're like, well,
- 1:01:12here's now this instance that's. It's like that kind.
- 1:01:16Of defeats the whole point of this being a more, you know,
- 1:01:21Eve, but you can be personally on your ship, you know.
- 1:01:25There there's an issue though. If you watch last citizen con
- 1:01:29they showed like I don't know what you mean by space not being
- 1:01:34instanced, but they're going to have battles that are going to
- 1:01:39be instanced that the fleet battles against the.
- 1:01:42They are instancing it OK. That is instance.
- 1:01:47Dang, I didn't. That's disappointing.
- 1:01:49I always thought they would. I mean, you know, just make it
- 1:01:53remote enough to where you need a an objective marker to get
- 1:01:56there. But I guess with Party Mark,
- 1:01:59yeah, anybody can. I can see the the problems.
- 1:02:05Yeah, but that's instancing. Instancing in general for for
- 1:02:09what? A game that's supposed to be
- 1:02:10simulation is we're supposed to fight instancing, right?
- 1:02:14Kind of like, yeah, we all want to have fun.
- 1:02:18So I guess that's the pro side of instancing.
- 1:02:21Nobody wants to be trolled when they're in there with their
- 1:02:23three friends by somebody who's just waiting there.
- 1:02:27Yeah, that's the main thing, because even if you have like
- 1:02:29102 hundred 1000 remote locations, somebody could just
- 1:02:34camp there and call people. That's what they had in Elite
- 1:02:39Dangerous in the very beginning. There's this place everyone had
- 1:02:41to go and people would camp there in Seal Club, right?
- 1:02:46And you guys, a new player, would have no idea.
- 1:02:49But I'd like a little bit of seal clubbing creates a more
- 1:02:55rewarding, I don't know, not seal clubbing.
- 1:03:00But you want people to be scary. I understand there's consequence
- 1:03:04to the game. Know how you let somebody know
- 1:03:08that this isn't some free Willy, You know, 'cause when you lose
- 1:03:12everything, when you lose your items, when you die and get sent
- 1:03:15back to the other side of the universe like it, it's you now
- 1:03:20your next outing, Christ, let me grab my luxes, let me grab
- 1:03:23everything I need. There's just so much more
- 1:03:25preparation on the player's mind of of not all right, I could die
- 1:03:31for some crap. And you know, I think that's a
- 1:03:33that's what makes Star Season so great.
- 1:03:35I like it. I like the survival mechanics.
- 1:03:39That's the whole game. Punish people.
- 1:03:41Punish people. Well, have patience, yeah.
- 1:03:45It it it makes it more rewarding.
- 1:03:48That's the thing about when you when you meet people who play
- 1:03:50this game, you know right away they have a good amount of
- 1:03:53patience. Yeah, but you have even.
- 1:03:57If you don't play this requirement.
- 1:04:03I was thinking in the context or of those instance battles around
- 1:04:12the station, right. If you die, you still have to go
- 1:04:16all the way from your spawn point.
- 1:04:18You have to go all the way back from your spawn point to the
- 1:04:23asteroid and then enter the instance area or something like
- 1:04:27that. So there's still, but I don't
- 1:04:33know. I'm not completely as long as it
- 1:04:35is restricted. I will say I'm a massively like
- 1:04:39the especially when those recent ASD facilities dying in the ASD
- 1:04:44facility spawns you at the ASD facility instead of eating you
- 1:04:49halfway across the system. Like that's I was like, OK,
- 1:04:53that's I'm OK with this. Like otherwise people are going
- 1:04:56to be like, if I got to spend 40 minutes to get back to you, I'm
- 1:05:00out. Like, yeah.
- 1:05:03Well, that's your whole day, dude.
- 1:05:03That's all the time I have. To play today, Yeah, it's Star
- 1:05:06Citizen. I know you know, you're a
- 1:05:12patient person. You can you can sit down.
- 1:05:14I love it though, don't change a thing.
- 1:05:16Sit down and wait. Yeah, don't, don't, don't
- 1:05:18change. Just put some put some games in
- 1:05:21my Moby glass or something. It adds weight to everything.
- 1:05:24If you got a buddy and they're doing some spacewalk and they're
- 1:05:27like eating, they're like, or they're doing some crazy
- 1:05:29sacrificing their ship or they're not going to make it and
- 1:05:32they die and they do this crazy effort and you're like, Nah,
- 1:05:36that guy's getting shipped back to Pyro.
- 1:05:37We're two systems away. That was a cheers.
- 1:05:42Hats off like it. It just adds more consequence.
- 1:05:46Everything gets richer. You know, that's how I play now,
- 1:05:50by the way. Very often I'll log on.
- 1:05:53No, not for the means, but very often I'll log on and I'll be
- 1:05:57like, OK, I'm going to play until I die.
- 1:06:00Like if I die, I'm done. Yeah, you just log on.
- 1:06:03Yeah, this is how I play, man. I'm in here for a fun little
- 1:06:05experience. And if I get take two in the
- 1:06:08Dome when the door opens, that's it.
- 1:06:11That's it. I love it.
- 1:06:14That's. I wouldn't trade that.
- 1:06:15I hope. Yeah.
- 1:06:16And I don't want people that are on Spectrum to be so loud to
- 1:06:20where the game shifts direction into being more coddling.
- 1:06:24I don't. Nah, make it brutal.
- 1:06:29Fuck yeah. My opinion though.
- 1:06:31Yeah, Raven, do you agree? Yeah, yeah, I I agree.
- 1:06:35I don't know what the direction is with all the base building
- 1:06:40stuff coming in the the crafting and whatsoever.
- 1:06:44I don't know if it's going to be harder, easier.
- 1:06:50I have no clue. We are go.
- 1:06:51We will go back to the the first question of the lack of
- 1:06:55direction, I would say. The first question was how did
- 1:06:59David Hasselhoff tear down the Berlin Wall?
- 1:07:01Oh yeah, the second question. That was the first question the.
- 1:07:06Second question then. Yeah, well, welcome to the
- 1:07:13European Opencoms, IE no, the IE special European spectacular.
- 1:07:18Did he have another caller, I thought.
- 1:07:20We, we did have another caller, but he he had, he had a pop out.
- 1:07:23Phantom Caller. Yeah, Wicked.
- 1:07:26Wicked. The cruise loxes have crushed
- 1:07:31Wicked's Internet, so he's not going to be able to to call in
- 1:07:35again today. That's fair.
- 1:07:38He was, yeah, on a cellular device.
- 1:07:42I thought Meme was going to join us.
- 1:07:46However, Meme has better things to do, supposedly.
- 1:07:51This is good I that's been a second since I background.
- 1:07:54It's good to talk to game. I love the Perseus has brought
- 1:07:56me back a a little bit. Well, mainly because the
- 1:08:00girlfriend likes Perseus and that that you play the game
- 1:08:02more, but it's a cool they finally figuring this out so
- 1:08:08much stuff. I've always wanted a bridge on a
- 1:08:11ship where you could see the front Idris too much ship.
- 1:08:15They really they did well with this one.
- 1:08:19What band have you chosen? So I got her, I got her the
- 1:08:23thing she doesn't have the the concierge thing.
- 1:08:25And I got her that. And I was like, I do.
- 1:08:27I don't let me just melt. And like, I saw one by some
- 1:08:31ships. Yeah, I got her the marble one.
- 1:08:32I didn't know it was marble. I thought it was white.
- 1:08:35And I was like, oh, white, Perseus would look so cool.
- 1:08:38And then we spawned it in game and I was like, man, this bitch
- 1:08:41is marble. Like, have you noticed this?
- 1:08:44Looks beyond that. Also the interior.
- 1:08:48Yeah, marble and the chairs are gold.
- 1:08:51Yep. Yeah.
- 1:08:52Hey, I love it. Don't get me wrong.
- 1:08:54We were on. We were there last.
- 1:08:57Reminds me of some Saudi Arabic Prince or something.
- 1:09:01You know those palaces? Yes, yes.
- 1:09:05How it reminds me, we were on the ship last night and we were
- 1:09:07like, and she's got the gold pattern and then we're sitting
- 1:09:11there next to the air like about to jump off to egress to this
- 1:09:13thing. And it's like helmets, helmets,
- 1:09:16Bo. They all put your helmets on
- 1:09:18just screaming at us. Girlfriend goes, darling, what
- 1:09:22is this poor man saying to us? Perfect, Because the yeah, it
- 1:09:30was. It's just so dumb having marble
- 1:09:32coated battleship. It's like a battle yacht.
- 1:09:36Yeah. Why?
- 1:09:38Yeah, why? For the memes.
- 1:09:41Just for the memes. For the memes and because
- 1:09:44resources are, you know, in Star Citizen, we are all very
- 1:09:48wealthy. Right.
- 1:09:51Yeah. What's?
- 1:09:54Crazy is you don't even have to be that wealthy you just have to
- 1:09:56be in this project for 10 years and your graduated cost from
- 1:10:01just buying the startership to oh I'll spend 45 maybe I'll
- 1:10:06spend 160 bucks a year. You play it for 10 years, you're
- 1:10:10at a Perseus, Polaris or whatever you want just for the
- 1:10:14fact they let you melt ships. Yeah.
- 1:10:17I mean, you could just spend 15 or 20 bucks a year on it to be
- 1:10:21honest, and you'd get, you'd get up there.
- 1:10:23Yeah, you'd get up there. So I always equated to like, I
- 1:10:27got people, wow, that give you a hard time for it.
- 1:10:29And it's like, man, you paid 2520 a month for damn year 11.
- 1:10:35Like come on now. Well, even even the FIFA
- 1:10:38players. Yeah, they do.
- 1:10:40Have to pay to play FIFA. You don't have to pay a
- 1:10:44subscription, but they have like they had like a card game.
- 1:10:47I don't know if it's in it anymore still, but people were
- 1:10:50spending like thousands of dollars on player cards in FIFA
- 1:10:55and then you could buy certain players, right?
- 1:10:59So you don't even like in FIFA, you don't even like unlock your
- 1:11:01players anymore. They just basically buy them the
- 1:11:04good ones at least. OK, seems fair.
- 1:11:10Yeah, I don't they would put nothing.
- 1:11:13FIFA went to a Star Citizen model and you had to pay for
- 1:11:17freaking, I don't know, pick your star.
- 1:11:20They do. They do that.
- 1:11:21It would not shock me at the least.
- 1:11:25Hold on, I'll show, I'll prove it to you FIFA by players or
- 1:11:31that's that's all you got to do for can I miss you say you're a
- 1:11:37great. FIFA Players For Sale FIFA was
- 1:11:39as an organization, that is, it is a extremely powerful
- 1:11:43organization. FIFA, if it weren't Star
- 1:11:47Citizen, it would own its own planet.
- 1:11:48It would probably own a. It's a whole system.
- 1:11:53You know. It would just, it would just be
- 1:11:56a soccer system and they'd have like multiple planets and each
- 1:12:00planet would have its own soccer team.
- 1:12:02Yeah. Oh gosh.
- 1:12:03And they'd. They'd be doing like.
- 1:12:05It sounds like a slavery. Yeah, they're like they're
- 1:12:09whipping people. They're like kidnapping.
- 1:12:11They got all kinds of shady stuff going on.
- 1:12:14It's less fun. But those, yeah, those soccer
- 1:12:17games, right? The soccer games are just like
- 1:12:20the secondary thing. It would be cool.
- 1:12:25I mean, we had racing in Star Citizen for what felt like a
- 1:12:29moment, for felt like a year there.
- 1:12:31They had the tracks, the tracks. The tracks that we lost.
- 1:12:37Is that also where we see I don't race?
- 1:12:39They lost. So if you're a racer, you lost
- 1:12:41that entire tree as well. I think so.
- 1:12:44I think it's not back. Yeah, because I haven't seen it.
- 1:12:47I haven't seen it in the mission thing.
- 1:12:48So damn, That's that's that's just what you want to build and
- 1:12:54you want it to grow. And recently it feels like it's
- 1:12:57a there's a little bit of a axe to the knees in terms of some of
- 1:13:02the content we had. That was really cool that yeah,
- 1:13:05those horse and missions, we're fantastic.
- 1:13:09There's just really cool locations in the game and you
- 1:13:11want people to. You want to show me your
- 1:13:14friends, you want missions to be there.
- 1:13:19Look, 300, Raven. OK, I see.
- 1:13:21I see. Raven and Tav if you want to buy
- 1:13:26Cristiano Ronaldo. I have a question.
- 1:13:29His rating is a 94 is $949 I. Was just how much is Ronaldo
- 1:13:36like? This is a third party site, but
- 1:13:38nonetheless. These players are like immortal.
- 1:13:42Does they have LTI? How does it work?
- 1:13:46There's what's the depreciation? That's it, Ronaldo.
- 1:13:50In real life, players get old. Exactly, I know what's the
- 1:13:57depreciation rate on on Ronaldo? If you do buy FIFA players, oh,
- 1:14:07FIFA coins, that was an ad. I guess that's how I got
- 1:14:11suckered into it. I guess you get it.
- 1:14:15They don't. There's only really these third
- 1:14:17party sites though, so I don't really understand.
- 1:14:21I guess. I guess I'd have to download the
- 1:14:24game you probably buy. Betting markets are so
- 1:14:26unchecked, at least in this country.
- 1:14:27I don't know how it is in, you know, in Europe, but it's yeah,
- 1:14:33it's crazy. We had our our two biggest
- 1:14:35fandom in the DraftKings have said no, we don't want to do the
- 1:14:38regulation thing. They just left.
- 1:14:40So yeah, it's it's gambling. About gambling.
- 1:14:46Yeah, yeah. It's tough to get.
- 1:14:48There is some regulation over here, but it depends on what a
- 1:14:55lot of stuff like the government has like its own hands in it.
- 1:15:00Just facts or a monopoly? Sure, sure.
- 1:15:13Well, gentlemen. Have we have we discussed the
- 1:15:18finer points of the Citizen? I'm really happy with the game
- 1:15:21right now. I'm going to I do these giant
- 1:15:24essentially A bipolar person's view of Star Citizen.
- 1:15:29Perseus was that was that was awesome and I'm glad it's not a
- 1:15:34do all ship when I'm on it and I'm like man, if this thing has
- 1:15:37a mid Bay I'm going to melt my Polaris.
- 1:15:40If this you convince mid Bay. And it's like, oh, it doesn't
- 1:15:42have a mid Bay. OK, all right, all right, all
- 1:15:44right. Maybe it's not the and the I get
- 1:15:46in the turret, the traversal speed on the turret is like
- 1:15:49you're not tracking a you're not even tracking a heavy fighter in
- 1:15:52that turret. Not well, at least.
- 1:15:56No, a heavy fighter could probably give a give it.
- 1:16:00Oh yeah dude. A nice Stinger I think.
- 1:16:02I'm a heavy fighter, so it's in a real niche, you know, niche
- 1:16:07spot, and I had the balance of it.
- 1:16:10I think they did a great job, great job, great attention to
- 1:16:14detail, all this more functionality.
- 1:16:15I'd love to have them retro hit the other ships.
- 1:16:19I mean the Connie. The Connie.
- 1:16:22Connie. It's like we just use this to
- 1:16:25blow up Connie's and it's like that's this is the punching bag
- 1:16:28of the whole universe right now is the Connie.
- 1:16:30And OK, All right. I mean, I love the Connie.
- 1:16:35I think it's still like, you know, you got you and a friend.
- 1:16:39It's a solid ship. But Perseus is coming out.
- 1:16:43It's heavy hitting. On on the art side you you can
- 1:16:47see the change between the purses and Polaris like Polaris
- 1:16:50is. Yeah, doesn't have the detail
- 1:16:53Perseus has, Yeah. It's like there's a huge
- 1:16:57difference and it's only one year apart.
- 1:17:00Like on the art department. Seems like it's almost obsolete.
- 1:17:04Which is I know, I know. You're are you a, you're a
- 1:17:06merchant man. Guy, right?
- 1:17:09Yep. You're does this give you a
- 1:17:11little bit of faith of like, 'cause I'm so I was also six
- 1:17:15years or or I was Polaris a concept and when it came out I
- 1:17:18was tickled so pink like it was it was amazing.
- 1:17:22And now that I see the Perseus, I'm like, my Polaris doesn't
- 1:17:25look like that kind of sucks. Are you at least got some faith
- 1:17:30in that your merchantman now by delaying it?
- 1:17:33At least when the. Merchantman comes down, but.
- 1:17:35That's gonna be some fears. I have also some fears because
- 1:17:39they already started a bunch of work on it.
- 1:17:42And if they figure out later that some of the fundamentals
- 1:17:46work that you already done is not good, are they going to be,
- 1:17:50are they willing to redo it? Are they going to go through it?
- 1:17:54Because like the whole gameplay about shops, it's not there and
- 1:18:02it's not designed. They designed the ship, designed
- 1:18:04the ship around that, but we don't have the gameplay.
- 1:18:07So maybe the gameplay will need different designs.
- 1:18:10You remember what I did, They had that whole merchantman's
- 1:18:13coming there. God, it must have been three
- 1:18:14years ago now they and Jared was there going.
- 1:18:17He was really excited talking about it and I was, I was like,
- 1:18:22Oh my God. You know everybody, a lot of
- 1:18:24people I've known that play the game since for 10-15 years have
- 1:18:26had a merchantman like or ever since that was announced, since
- 1:18:30concept. They were like, that's my ship.
- 1:18:32And I was like. Gosh, we're a decade.
- 1:18:33We're a decade now later, OK, But you have some more
- 1:18:42confidence now having to release the, you know, the Perseus to
- 1:18:45where you think the Merchantman is going to be of a higher
- 1:18:47caliber. Because, as I understood, the
- 1:18:49Merchantman team was let go. They transferred, they left.
- 1:18:56Yeah. What?
- 1:18:56Happened. They went to the other space
- 1:18:59game, the one with the IT was crypto bullshit.
- 1:19:05Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, the crypto. The crypto, yeah.
- 1:19:09Yeah, something like that. I I don't know what you're
- 1:19:11talking about. They sold you like whole planets
- 1:19:13and stuff. I was thinking about that game
- 1:19:18the other day, is it still alive?
- 1:19:21Is it still active? I don't.
- 1:19:22Know. Oh, the.
- 1:19:28Website is still on. Sure, really.
- 1:19:34It's Star Atlas, right? Yeah.
- 1:19:36Yeah, it is. Yeah, that was it.
- 1:19:40It's all video. But there was a shop.
- 1:19:42It it was all high, I mean, but you.
- 1:19:44Have that's what you used now rating.
- 1:19:45That like when it comes out, it'll be of 'cause I'm just
- 1:19:51thinking of all these older ships that they have this
- 1:19:53pattern now. They have a lot of legacy ships.
- 1:19:58I mean, they introduced, I mean, every year we got a new starter.
- 1:20:01Now there's just a lot of legacy ships.
- 1:20:06Connie I think being a big one. Ships that never came to be.
- 1:20:10Merchantman. This Star Atlas game looks like
- 1:20:15it might actually be a game. We But when you play, it's a
- 1:20:22Star Citizen hanger, is it not? No, it looks like they have a a
- 1:20:27game. I think you can.
- 1:20:31Am I looking at the wrong game? This looks like a fun.
- 1:20:34Game No, that's this one. I last I saw that it was a year
- 1:20:37ago so Dang this is probably. If I remember correctly, you
- 1:20:40have to pay like when you refuel the ship, you have to pay real
- 1:20:43money to refuel. The ship.
- 1:20:45Really. I might be wrong.
- 1:20:48I remember there was someone at the bar Citizen in Milan two
- 1:20:53years ago. I think he was trying to
- 1:20:55convince me to play this game. But you and you pay in like
- 1:21:01crypto, and so you're paying like fractions of a penny each
- 1:21:04time you do a thing. No thank you.
- 1:21:12That might stick, though. You never know.
- 1:21:15You never know, it's made in a real engine, so.
- 1:21:21OK, yeah, it doesn't look like it.
- 1:21:24It looks fun. It's just it's still a little
- 1:21:29like more cartoony than Star Citizen is, I think, right.
- 1:21:35It's a little like it looks good.
- 1:21:38It looks really good on an Xbox 360.
- 1:21:40I respect the hustle though, like.
- 1:21:43Yeah. Yeah, conversations with people
- 1:21:45talking about the business model, stuff like, and you're
- 1:21:47just thinking of like, OK, well, how do you do it differently?
- 1:21:49How do you replicate what's made their success?
- 1:21:52And I never imagined it didn't cross my mind.
- 1:21:55Make the same game and charge them for the fuel.
- 1:22:03Brilliant. Brilliant.
- 1:22:05Brilliant. Didn't even cross my mind.
- 1:22:08I was never that sinister, like, oh, that is good.
- 1:22:14Yeah, dude, yeah. In every genius, you're
- 1:22:20constantly. That means you're constantly
- 1:22:22think about it. You're constantly spending money
- 1:22:24all the time, every, every, everything you're doing.
- 1:22:28You're spending money in your in your free time.
- 1:22:31Now you're refueling your shipping.
- 1:22:32You're like throwing pennies at it.
- 1:22:35That's crazy. You think there's someone?
- 1:22:39It'd be hilarious. You're on one planet and.
- 1:22:41You're gramming you. Yeah.
- 1:22:45I'm still it doesn't cost money. Hey, man, I'm on this planet.
- 1:22:49Can you come out here and I got some crazy things to show you?
- 1:22:51Nah, man, it's been a it's been a rough month.
- 1:22:54I can't, I can't put fuel on the ship to get out to you.
- 1:22:59Talk about Yeah, mimicking real life.
- 1:23:03It has a a 4.8 stars on the Epic Game Store.
- 1:23:09What? So, you know, what do we know?
- 1:23:17I haven't seen any videos about it or anything, I'm just
- 1:23:21undiscovered. Yeah, well, it's built on the
- 1:23:26Solana blockchain, so there you go.
- 1:23:31I'm I'm actually concerned with this as a person who has.
- 1:23:38Maybe they do free fly. Yeah.
- 1:23:41And you've got a discounted game package.
- 1:23:44You can upgrade it to another. Yeah, I just first need to buy
- 1:23:49Solana. Yeah, I'm already at a star
- 1:23:53system level of swindle me once, swindle me twice like George
- 1:24:01Bush over here, swindle me, You can't get swindled again.
- 1:24:04Can't get swindled again. So so our citizen are not
- 1:24:08studying concepts anymore. Let's switch games.
- 1:24:14Yeah, well, what do you mean jpegs?
- 1:24:16Dude come on, fuck it, I'm going to get NFTS now.
- 1:24:20Yeah, I've. Learned my lesson.
- 1:24:22No more jpegs, just NFTS. Yeah.
- 1:24:28Fuck, dude. OK, well, I don't want to take
- 1:24:32up all your time today, everybody.
- 1:24:36Raven, I know you said you had to go somewhere eventually.
- 1:24:39Yeah, I don't know if it's that time.
- 1:24:41Too bad. Thank you for popping on Raven.
- 1:24:46Thank you. Yeah, if you ever do again, show
- 1:24:51in a more European friendly time.
- 1:24:54European spectacular. Yeah, of course, of course.
- 1:24:57Yeah, of course. Hardly.
- 1:24:58Hop on. It's great talking to you.
- 1:25:01Thank you again. Well, well, before you leave, I
- 1:25:04do want to ask you, as I ask every guest, is there anything
- 1:25:08you'd like to say to Chris Roberts, CIG or the people on
- 1:25:11the Internet? Have a question?
- 1:25:17What do I? I don't care.
- 1:25:21Please, Chris. I don't care about the the bad
- 1:25:26sheets. Thank you.
- 1:25:33OK. All right, I don't have any.
- 1:25:37I thought there was more. I thought I was like, there's
- 1:25:42needles. Over here.
- 1:25:43You OK? You don't care about the bad
- 1:25:47ships, you said. The, the bad sheets, the, you
- 1:25:50know, the they were like what, a couple years back there was this
- 1:25:56monthly report where they were improving.
- 1:25:59The. Bed.
- 1:26:00Yeah. Oh fuck dude.
- 1:26:04OK, OK, I care about the bed sheets.
- 1:26:10See, you're on Idris right now. Like the Idris needs that
- 1:26:13Perseus signage. Everything anymore.
- 1:26:15See what happened. Oh, OK all.
- 1:26:19Right, this happened to me again, just not today when I was
- 1:26:22flying to land in my hangar. You're going back with the
- 1:26:27retracting? Yeah.
- 1:26:30It just disappeared. Idris isn't the older model
- 1:26:33anyway. Yeah, I.
- 1:26:37Think it's the. I think it's not the model in
- 1:26:39Squadron 42. I think it's the the old model
- 1:26:42the. One, I don't know they they
- 1:26:43updated it. I don't know like where it
- 1:26:45stands right now, but yeah, it's more in line with the the
- 1:26:50hammerhead in terms of like its age, I think and how it looks
- 1:26:56and, and everything just got that older feel, which is cool.
- 1:27:01I'm, I'm I'm happy to see the game have, you know, different
- 1:27:05feels as to as time goes on, you know, generation one of Star
- 1:27:09Citizen, like Star Trek, there's different generations of it and
- 1:27:13feels of it and. Begging horror.
- 1:27:16OK with that. Mark 1.
- 1:27:18Mark 2. Yeah.
- 1:27:20Yeah, Connie. One day of Mark 2 isn't mark we
- 1:27:27got, we got 1.5 so. I think, I think Connie is like
- 1:27:32Mark Four or something like that.
- 1:27:33Yeah, it's had a lot of updates. I remember when all we had was
- 1:27:37Port Olisar. Yeah, it was.
- 1:27:42Or even the hangar. Yeah, it's it definitely has
- 1:27:44gotten a lot of updates, but. One thing doesn't change the PT.
- 1:27:53Actually no they changed. They changed the HUD in the PTV.
- 1:27:58Raven we should do next time. Like Mystery Science 3000 of a
- 1:28:02sci-fi movie. We got to put that in the
- 1:28:04docket. We just got to find the right
- 1:28:07movie to make fun of. There's so many choices.
- 1:28:12There's so many. Wing Commander.
- 1:28:14We did that one, and that was hilarious.
- 1:28:16Yeah, we did it. Oh, my gosh.
- 1:28:18Do you know what that Chris Roberts he is.
- 1:28:24You would have done it too. Yeah.
- 1:28:26Yeah. I would have.
- 1:28:29I just saw the substance. The substance I'm not.
