  Speaker 1: into it. Mark chapter 12 and it states, Jesus tells

  Speaker 1: a story about wicked farmers. Then Jesus began to speak
• 2:22
  Speaker 1: again to the important Jews. He told them stories he said.

  Speaker 1: There was a man who planted vines to grow grapes.

  Speaker 1: He built a wall around the vineyard. He dug a
• 2:35
  Speaker 1: hole in the ground for a wine press to make wine.

  Speaker 1: He also built a tower to watch over the garden.
• 2:44
  Speaker 1: He found some farmers who would work in the vineyard
• 2:48
  Speaker 1: for him. Then he went away to another country. Verse 2,
• 2:54
  Speaker 1: at the At the time for the harvest, the man
• 2:58
  Speaker 1: sent a servant to speak to the farmers. He wanted
• 3:01
  Speaker 1: them to give him his fruits from the vineyard. But
• 3:07
  Speaker 1: the farmers took hold of the servant and they hit
• 3:10
  Speaker 1: him with sticks. They sent him away with nothing. So
• 3:14
  Speaker 1: the man sent another servant to farmers. They also hit
• 3:22
  Speaker 1: the servant on the head. They did. other things to him.

  Speaker 1: The man then sent another servant, but the farmers killed
• 3:34
  Speaker 1: the servant. He sent many other servants to them. The
• 3:39
  Speaker 1: farmers hit some of these servants with the sticks and
• 3:43
  Speaker 1: they killed other servants. So it didn't matter how many servants,
• 3:46
  Speaker 1: they kept sending them and sending them. I almost sounded
• 3:50
  Speaker 1: like I said sending them. And It did not matter.
• 3:58
  Speaker 1: And the truth of the matter is, how many times
• 4:03
  Speaker 1: do we do that in our lives? We go back
• 4:06
  Speaker 1: to the same bad habit. And then we have shame
• 4:11
  Speaker 1: and guilt the next day. Getting hit with the stick, right?
• 4:16
  Speaker 1: Knowing that it's bad for us. We're all guilty of it. backsliding.

  Speaker 1: We can call it sin. We can call it evil.
• 4:26
  Speaker 1: We can call it doing good. Ying and yang. But
• 4:33
  Speaker 1: before I get into verse 6, I want everyone to
• 4:37
  Speaker 1: know from a believer to a follower, I'm not trying
• 4:45
  Speaker 1: to convince you to be a follower because it's not
• 4:49
  Speaker 1: that We are chosen, but we choose. We choose to
• 4:54
  Speaker 1: serve the Lord because we know that our reward is
• 4:57
  Speaker 1: not here. It's in heaven. And if we can bring
• 5:01
  Speaker 1: some of those rewards down here to earth, they're not
• 5:09
  Speaker 1: only just good works, but having the relationship with Him,
• 5:16
  Speaker 1: being in praise. Those two things are the most important, really,
• 5:22
  Speaker 1: Don't get me wrong. Bible study is a great basic
• 5:26
  Speaker 1: instruction before leaving earth kind of book. The only kind
• 5:34
  Speaker 1: of its kind. Best selling book, but that doesn't mean
• 5:38
  Speaker 1: that it's the best read. Let that sink in. The
• 5:44
  Speaker 1: man had only one person that he could still send.
• 5:50
  Speaker 1: This was his own Son, the man loved him very much.
• 5:55
  Speaker 1: So last of all, he sent his son to the farmers.
• 5:59
  Speaker 1: He taught. He thought, the farmers would surely respect my son.
• 6:05
  Speaker 1: But those farmers said to each other, this is the
• 6:08
  Speaker 1: master's own son. The farmer will begin to belong to
• 6:13
  Speaker 1: him when his father dies. He should kill the son
• 6:16
  Speaker 1: and then the farm will belong to us. So the farmers...
• 6:20
  Speaker 1: took the son and they killed him. They threw his
• 6:24
  Speaker 1: dead body out of the vineyard. Jesus asked, then asked,
• 6:28
  Speaker 1: what will the masters of the garden do then? I
• 6:31
  Speaker 1: tell you, he will come and he will kill those farmers.
• 6:35
  Speaker 1: Then he will give the vineyard to other people to
• 6:39
  Speaker 1: take care of it. I am sure that you have
• 6:43
  Speaker 1: read these words in the Bible. The builders refused to
• 6:46
  Speaker 1: use a certain stone. They thought that it had no value.
• 6:51
  Speaker 1: But now that that stone has become the most important
• 6:54
  Speaker 1: stone at the corner of the building, the Lord God
• 6:58
  Speaker 1: did this. And we see that he did something great.

  Speaker 1: Something that's just so minor to majority of us, right?

  Speaker 1: Jesus can glorify and the more that I get closer
• 7:22
  Speaker 1: to my spirituality, which I still get distracted. I'm not

  Speaker 1: sitting here on this episode after going through Mark chapter 12,

  Speaker 1: 1 through 11, that I am trying to convince you
• 7:40
  Speaker 1: to either believe in God or believe in me. This
• 7:50
  Speaker 1: is from the messenger himself. The Holy Spirit is not
• 7:58
  Speaker 1: only a spirit that cannot really make itself a home
• 8:08
  Speaker 1: in a body that doesn't go in motion. To be
• 8:12
  Speaker 1: able to unlock the spiritual gifts and There's so many
• 8:19
  Speaker 1: non-believers that believers need to understand that we are always
• 8:27
  Speaker 1: under attack. In the physical, in the spiritual, in the mental,
• 8:35
  Speaker 1: in the emotional. And we have to be ready for
• 8:39
  Speaker 1: any attack. Staying focused on Jesus mentally is a great start.

  Speaker 1: Then speaking it... Or singing worship songs... Praying to them
• 8:52
  Speaker 1: out loud... Or in your head... I'm going to break
• 8:54
  Speaker 1: it down for you... What you really need to do... And...

  Speaker 1: I'm not going to sit here... And be like the
• 9:03
  Speaker 1: type that says... That the Bible is really going to
• 9:05
  Speaker 1: save you... The Bible is a great instructor... It has
• 9:10
  Speaker 1: great instructions... But... It can be really repetitive... And it
• 9:19
  Speaker 1: can be really, really hard to believe. But what is
• 9:28
  Speaker 1: so unique about God's love is that he doesn't expect
• 9:37
  Speaker 1: you to understand it. He just expects you to believe
• 9:46
  Speaker 1: in it. believe in the people and the prophets that
• 9:50
  Speaker 1: came before us and that's the beauty of the gospel
• 9:57
  Speaker 1: is having certain eyewitnesses say that this man did these
• 10:04
  Speaker 1: things and said that he was God and I can
• 10:08
  Speaker 1: see how a lot of people can be turned away
• 10:14
  Speaker 1: from that right because like oh yeah well he was
• 10:17
  Speaker 1: just another human But that's not the case. And I
• 10:22
  Speaker 1: can go on and on about this, but I'm going
• 10:25
  Speaker 1: to leave it at this. I've experienced both sides of
• 10:30
  Speaker 1: the coin. And I know exactly which side I'm on
• 10:37
  Speaker 1: and where I'm going to stay. It doesn't mean I'm perfect.

  Speaker 1: It doesn't mean that I'm better than you, the believer,
• 10:42
  Speaker 1: or the non-believer. I'll never boast in my ego. No,
• 10:48
  Speaker 1: I'm not edging God out. God's all in this. God
• 10:54
  Speaker 1: is all in this. So I want to just leave
• 10:57
  Speaker 1: it at this right as we go to verse 12.

  Speaker 1: Keep an open mind. Mark chapter 12 verse 12. The
• 11:04
  Speaker 1: Jewish leaders knew that Jesus had told this story about them.
• 11:10
  Speaker 1: They were the wicked farmers in the story. So they
• 11:15
  Speaker 1: wanted to take hold of Jesus but they were afraid
• 11:18
  Speaker 1: of the crowd so they let him and they went
• 11:23
  Speaker 1: they left him and they went away the pharisees asked
• 11:27
  Speaker 1: jesus about taxes then the leaders sent some pharisees to
• 11:32
  Speaker 1: jesus they also sent some men who were friends of
• 11:37
  Speaker 1: king he brought sorry i'm trying to walk i can't
• 11:44
  Speaker 1: see we have to stop for a second hold on
• 11:47
  Speaker 1: they wanted jesus to say something wrong then they could
• 11:51
  Speaker 1: cause trouble for him. These men came to Jesus and
• 11:54
  Speaker 1: they said, Teacher, we know that you only say true things.
• 11:58
  Speaker 1: It does not matter to you what other people think.
• 12:01
  Speaker 1: If someone is important, you do not change your answers
• 12:05
  Speaker 1: to make them happy. You really do teach us what
• 12:10
  Speaker 1: God wants us to do. Tell us... See, I'm going
• 12:14
  Speaker 1: to stop it right there. You know, when we're talking
• 12:17
  Speaker 1: about We always change our feelings, our answers, and Jesus didn't.

  Speaker 1: And what we're talking about, it doesn't matter what other
• 12:36
  Speaker 1: people think. It says it right here in a sentence.

  Speaker 1: It does not matter to you what other people think.

  Speaker 1: Let me repeat that for the person that is not

  Speaker 1: really paying attention. You're hearing me, but you're not listening.

  Speaker 1: It does not matter to you what other people think.

  Speaker 1: Referring to Jesus. He did not care what other people
• 12:57
  Speaker 1: thought of him. He did not care what people said

  Speaker 1: negative about him. Didn't take in to boast about the
• 13:05
  Speaker 1: positive things. He always gave glory to the Father. And
• 13:09
  Speaker 1: he always went off in his own time into the
• 13:12
  Speaker 1: woods or into the wilderness or just away in the
• 13:14
  Speaker 1: mountains to go pray. And he would bring other people
• 13:17
  Speaker 1: to pray too. He would go on a journey and
• 13:19
  Speaker 1: pick people out to go pray with him and worship
• 13:24
  Speaker 1: the Almighty God. Talking about the Almighty God, Jesus, and
• 13:28
  Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit. That's what we believe on this channel.
• 13:30
  Speaker 1: I'm going to leave it at that. We're at 13 minutes.
