- 0:15Speaker 1: That's great. Good Stu, explain you to me, Keasy Bruce
- 0:25Speaker 1: is one hundred Bruce Bruce. What is it?
- 0:28Speaker 3: Bruce's Rod Shop? Okay, there's a picture of a hot rod.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, call in Texas, Yeah.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Texas, Texas. They went there and they brought it back
- 0:44Speaker 3: for me. Who did mon and down from went to
- 0:48Speaker 3: Bruce's road Shop last year?
- 0:50Speaker 2: Did they? Yeah, they do a bit of tripling.
- 0:53Speaker 1: They well, they do now that they've retired MAGI.
- 0:56Speaker 3: To be honest, what happens is a friend of my
- 0:58Speaker 3: dad started a real small tour company, taking like people
- 1:03Speaker 3: in their sixties over to the States to see places
- 1:06Speaker 3: like the Grand Tennessee and wow, not so much those
- 1:09Speaker 3: mainstream ones, places that people don't really go.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Oh yeah, sure shops Mississippi.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Yeah, Mississippi, like I don't know, like Louisiana and all
- 1:17Speaker 3: those kind of like the places like Memphis and Nashville,
- 1:22Speaker 3: First Dynasty and places like that. And then my mum
- 1:26Speaker 3: and dad, my dad used to run a similar back
- 1:29Speaker 3: in the nineties. He used to run an American tour company. Yeah,
- 1:32Speaker 3: small company, you know. And this guy was like, can
- 1:36Speaker 3: you be the like can you drive the other van
- 1:38Speaker 3: full of oldies?
- 1:39Speaker 2: Oh? Right?
- 1:40Speaker 3: And my dad was like, I don't want to be paid.
- 1:41Speaker 3: I just want to pay three and my wife every time,
- 1:43Speaker 3: and I don't have any responsibility.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Yeah. Cool. He still looks after.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Everyone because he's yeah, he's a good guy.
- 1:49Speaker 3: And so because of that, they do two to three
- 1:51Speaker 3: trips to the States every year.
- 1:52Speaker 2: How good.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a sweet deal. That's pretty good, really good.
- 1:55Speaker 3: And Mum and Dada stoke because I'm like, that's great.
- 1:57Speaker 3: You guys are traveling lots. And because the guy, I
- 2:00Speaker 3: and my dad and my mum obviously they're all from
- 2:02Speaker 3: a car background. So naturally every trip they sprinkle in
- 2:05Speaker 3: a few little shops, hot rod shops. Really famous Bruce,
- 2:11Speaker 3: that one I've never heard of.
- 2:14Speaker 2: It's one of the best. But like they go to the.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I always pop in and see Bruce whenever I'm over there.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Yeah, you do.
- 2:21Speaker 3: You know Cocha tires? Have you heard of them?
- 2:23Speaker 2: No?
- 2:23Speaker 3: Really old tire brown. They went to the headquarters there
- 2:25Speaker 3: and there's all these old hot Rods Park.
- 2:27Speaker 2: They have tires there.
- 2:28Speaker 3: And that a few tires, but they are a famous
- 2:30Speaker 3: tire that all the old hot rods used to have
- 2:31Speaker 3: on and just things like that.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Can't like that.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I couldn't think of anything more tedious.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Yeah, Jays, I know, because you're not interested.
- 2:38Speaker 1: In that looking at cars. Yeah, no, hot rod tis tires. Yeah,
- 2:43Speaker 1: I mean I know I'd be into looking at tires.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:47Speaker 3: Can you not yuck my parents young? Please?
- 2:50Speaker 1: No, I think it's bloody good keys, bloody stoked from
- 2:53Speaker 1: on and don Yeah. They get to sort of travel around,
- 2:56Speaker 1: you know, on a personal level. The stakes would be
- 2:58Speaker 1: the last place I'd go to.
- 3:00Speaker 3: One hundred percent. And they are of a similar opinion. However,
- 3:02Speaker 3: the places they're going is not.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Off grid, kind of not off gred.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Everywhere is so different in the States, it's like going
- 3:09Speaker 3: to Europe. It's like all the states are so different. Yes,
- 3:12Speaker 3: depending on who's settled there and blah blah blah. So
- 3:14Speaker 3: the places they're going, yeah, there's a bit of you know,
- 3:15Speaker 3: people are walking around with guns on their hip and
- 3:17Speaker 3: all that sort of bullshit, but most of it is
- 3:19Speaker 3: like it's not the stuff happening in Washington or in La.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, it's very different.
- 3:24Speaker 1: I've got to say when I went to New York,
- 3:27Speaker 1: I fucking loved it.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Yeah, totally.
- 3:29Speaker 1: It was amazing.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Yeah, and that's one place that I'm like, you guys
- 3:32Speaker 3: have to do a New York trip because you do
- 3:33Speaker 3: a current package they offer.
- 3:36Speaker 1: And you know what was really great about it? It
- 3:38Speaker 1: was the old trains way. It's just like, it's fucking crazy, man.
- 3:44Speaker 1: You just go down, you get on, You're there in
- 3:46Speaker 1: four minutes. It's I love a train, Magi. Did you
- 3:52Speaker 1: hear it? Did you?
- 3:53Speaker 3: But also New York Subway is famously like good but
- 3:56Speaker 3: like way shitter than all the ones in Europe and
- 3:58Speaker 3: like Japan and stuff. No, I'm sure the whole Archy
- 4:01Speaker 3: B Show week days from four on Radio Hurarchy. Remember
- 4:07Speaker 3: they Big Show podcast?
- 4:09Speaker 1: Did you hear Mogi's train story?
- 4:13Speaker 2: Oh, train story? I would really like it. I don't
- 4:17Speaker 2: know if I told you this key, I might have
- 4:19Speaker 2: just saved it for just me and Jase to share.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Well, that's not cool, man, I want to hear about
- 4:23Speaker 3: the trains.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Well, you're busy sucking back piss. There was a fellow
- 4:27Speaker 2: that came up to me when we're at the ob
- 4:29Speaker 2: on Friday night there at Bruco at the Mount when
- 4:33Speaker 2: he comes up to me there and he goes, Mogi,
- 4:36Speaker 2: what kind of what kind of trains the into men?
- 4:40Speaker 2: I said, what's what's He goes, because you love trains,
- 4:46Speaker 2: but what models men? What kind of models the into it?
- 4:49Speaker 2: I was like, oh, nah, no, man, that's all bullshit.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Remember from years ago that I love model trains, you know,
- 4:56Speaker 2: that was a storyline we ran for a couple of weeks.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Here this guy has been holding onto that for four years.
- 5:00Speaker 2: And he was like, ah, because it's he into them
- 5:04Speaker 2: and he loves them. And he was like really excited
- 5:06Speaker 2: to have a conversation with me about model trains and
- 5:10Speaker 2: was shocked to find out that the whole thing was
- 5:12Speaker 2: a lie.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Yeah, but that's the only lie.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Were running it the only light. And then later on
- 5:17Speaker 2: he came up to me, by now it was pissed
- 5:19Speaker 2: but persed out. He's like, I can't believe he's own
- 5:22Speaker 2: like the model I feel that I felt really bad
- 5:27Speaker 2: for him because those are the days when it probably
- 5:30Speaker 2: seemed like we were telling the truth.
- 5:31Speaker 3: But also the thing with model trains is I could like,
- 5:36Speaker 3: if someone showed it comes, if someone's like kezy and
- 5:38Speaker 3: check out my fucking model train thing I've built. Yeah,
- 5:41Speaker 3: Like it's it's interesting as fun because I've spent all
- 5:43Speaker 3: the time and it looks cool and blah blah blah.
- 5:44Speaker 3: So it's one of those hobbies that.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Yeah, weird, we see the appeal of it.
- 5:49Speaker 2: It's a harmless thing. I can see it being meditative.
- 5:52Speaker 2: You sit there, you're painting. You know, you're off your head, yeah, yeah,
- 5:56Speaker 2: pissed off probably stone, Yeah, the ues and you're just
- 6:03Speaker 2: fucking trying to keep your hands steady. Yeah.
- 6:07Speaker 3: It's the same as like working on a car in
- 6:09Speaker 3: the back shed or doing any of those.
- 6:12Speaker 2: You've done that? I done that?
- 6:14Speaker 1: Yeah, what do you think?
- 6:16Speaker 2: When have I done that?
- 6:19Speaker 3: You? Jason, I didn't say that I had done it.
- 6:27Speaker 3: I said it's the same kind.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Of it was still good. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's lamer
- 6:33Speaker 2: than that, you make no mistake. No, But it's not
- 6:35Speaker 2: like I don't like the people people's there is a
- 6:39Speaker 2: there is like, for example, there is a use post apocalyptically,
- 6:44Speaker 2: you could if you can put together a card, there's
- 6:46Speaker 2: a use of that. If you can put together a
- 6:47Speaker 2: model train, you're going to get beaten to death. Yeah,
- 6:51Speaker 2: for your train.
- 6:51Speaker 1: But you know, because I think some people and well
- 6:54Speaker 1: I know some people have massive setups. It would be
- 6:58Speaker 1: very meditative, you know, watching your train going, you know,
- 7:02Speaker 1: and you're stoned off your head.
- 7:03Speaker 2: It's true. It's better than it's the same as any
- 7:06Speaker 2: other thing that you get into. That's right.
- 7:07Speaker 3: And so like Jase you always say in Heaven Forbid
- 7:10Speaker 3: your lovely partner was to perish tomorrow, You're like, that's me.
- 7:14Speaker 3: I'm done with the dating pool. I'm not back. I'm
- 7:15Speaker 3: an old round cast. Blah blah blah. I could in
- 7:17Speaker 3: that situation, you would then throw yourself into something like
- 7:20Speaker 3: model trains, lose yourself and so your house you clear
- 7:23Speaker 3: out all the rooms. They'd become model trains.
- 7:26Speaker 1: That terrible thing ever to happen, keasy, I wouldn't be
- 7:29Speaker 1: throwing myself into model trains.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Yeah, more into a raging river. No what, no traffic.
- 7:36Speaker 1: It might be a raging river.
- 7:37Speaker 2: A real train. What would you throw this hat?
- 7:40Speaker 3: If you had to have a hobby like that, what would.
- 7:42Speaker 1: I be into?
- 7:43Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Well, you know my hobby is fishing. Is that a hobby?
- 7:48Speaker 2: Your hobby is holding a fishing row? Yeah?
- 7:50Speaker 1: No, I don't even hold it. I put it in
- 7:51Speaker 1: the steak.
- 7:52Speaker 3: You can't of do fuck all fishing, to be honest,
- 7:54Speaker 3: though you know I do quite.
- 7:55Speaker 1: A bit of fishing.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Well, you do a lot of fishing, but you don't
- 7:56Speaker 2: catch any fish. That's the weird thing about you.
- 7:59Speaker 3: And with model trains and not actually having any trains.
- 8:02Speaker 1: The thing is with me not catching any of the
- 8:04Speaker 1: places I'm fishing are not really very good for fishing.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Well.
- 8:08Speaker 1: You know, it's like it's like the sea's very flat.
- 8:12Speaker 1: It's not like I'm plashing into.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Deep water the line into your toilet up. I could
- 8:20Speaker 2: as much and then you pull up a mess of two.
- 8:23Speaker 1: But the thing is, the thing is, fellas I've learnt
- 8:28Speaker 1: that where I generally fish the manecow heads because of
- 8:34Speaker 1: all the trawlers just on the you know, just beyond there,
- 8:38Speaker 1: the mouth of the head just scooping up all the fish.
- 8:42Speaker 1: And I was talking to some old fellow a little
- 8:44Speaker 1: while back, and he said, mate, I used to come
- 8:46Speaker 1: down here and catch four or five car ways every time,
- 8:51Speaker 1: and now he's like, I'll be lucky if I catch
- 8:54Speaker 1: one car way five times. They come down here.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Question, you've got heaps of dog squad money right, not anymore, Keysy,
- 9:01Speaker 3: it's all gone. Why don't you get a boat?
- 9:04Speaker 1: Wow? Yeah? Because well Edmund, Yeah but you love Edmund
- 9:10Speaker 1: who was talking to me recently about the admin I was.
- 9:13Speaker 2: You, yeah, but like it's it's a lot of adminoat.
- 9:16Speaker 3: My thing is I don't like fish, whereas you like fishing.
- 9:19Speaker 3: But you can't get to with a fish shirt.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Well, i'd have to do. I wouldn't feel very confident
- 9:26Speaker 1: going out exactly. I wouldn't know what I was doing.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Keysy, you could do like boat listen, you could take
- 9:33Speaker 2: you could take semen with you.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Fu sake.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Just give it up, man, it's just stupid. That's good.
- 9:50Speaker 3: Hey, shows a great show. This is the Big Show,
- 9:53Speaker 3: four or seven weekdays on radio.
- 9:55Speaker 2: It's good listening. They sink in the SAT screens.
