- 0:00Reasons to still be very optimistic about the silver
- 0:03price and the gold price we're going to cover that in this
- 0:06video. Are we experiencing just a
- 0:09temporary pull back? Do we need to take a look inside
- 0:13and realize that nothing goes straight up?
- 0:16We will talk about that. And also is there a silver
- 0:20shortage? New information that indicates
- 0:24in an unarguable manner that we are in for a major silver sword
- 0:29shortage. So on a day like today, when you
- 0:31probably know the silver and gold price are getting
- 0:34absolutely slaughtered, we still have big reason for optimism.
- 0:41Look, I don't have a crystal ball.
- 0:43I predicted $44.00 by silver. I'll stick by it.
- 0:47I know on a day like today, if you're feeling anything like me
- 0:50on the inside, sick to our stomach, right?
- 0:53It's hard to be completely unemotional when we look at
- 0:56these things. But we also need to inject a
- 0:59little dose of rationality and maybe a little humor from time
- 1:03to time. But just know that if you're
- 1:05suffering today from a little trauma related to the gold and
- 1:10silver price, you are not alone. It has been an absolute brutal
- 1:15week for silver and gold investors.
- 1:18But guys, that's part of the game, right?
- 1:21The bull market will do everything that it can to throw
- 1:25as many people off. And that's what it's doing
- 1:28today, right? And maybe you're making that
- 1:30decision yourself. I'm not going to judge anybody.
- 1:33I'll say it one final time. I do not have a crystal ball,
- 1:37but I do have an optimistic attitude based in what I believe
- 1:41to be reality as to where the gold and silver price are going.
- 1:45Thank you, Don how now for that super chat.
- 1:48Super nice of you, a little a little warm fuzzy feeling.
- 1:52So let's dig in. Let's dig into what's going on.
- 1:55How about a pep talk? Oh, and we're going to talk
- 1:57about the silver shortage. This is fascinating.
- 2:00That hasn't changed, right? The the debt, national debt,
- 2:04don't worry, we'll check on that has not changed.
- 2:07We're almost at $36 trillion of national debt.
- 2:10OK, Jake said it last week. Are we still watching the dust
- 2:14settle? From this post most election,
- 2:17what I'm calling a Black Swan event, this just landslide
- 2:22victory that was enjoyed by Donald Trump and the
- 2:24Republicans. Are we still watching the dust
- 2:27settle? A lot of people probably, I
- 2:29wrote this earlier. I didn't think it'd be this fan.
- 2:31A lot of people probably freaked out over the weekend, OK, People
- 2:36that own gold, silver, precious metal mining stocks, right after
- 2:40what happened on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday of last week,
- 2:43they got scared over the weekend.
- 2:45And I believe that's probably the one of the biggest reasons
- 2:49why the price of silver and gold are down this morning.
- 2:52OK, let's see what the end of the week brings.
- 2:55Let's be rational about this and let's, let's, let's hope and be
- 2:59optimistic and realistic that when the dust does settle right
- 3:04in the gold and silver market that it doesn't settle too darn
- 3:08low. Let's go take a look.
- 3:10Let's go quickly take a look at what is going on with the price.
- 3:13Get the bad news out of the way. Why I tell you what, if you
- 3:17waited till today, here we are a channel sponsor pin backs to buy
- 3:20your silver or gold. OK, we're at $30.59 per oz in
- 3:25silver. Gold is getting clobbered down
- 3:28almost $75.00 to 2614. Please help support channel
- 3:35sponsor Pembacs. What they can do for you is give
- 3:38you ultra competitive pricing. You'll get more metal for your
- 3:42money. They got a great selection and
- 3:45what I think is paramount is a company that you can trust.
- 3:48I'll never tell you what to do, but I would recommend that you
- 3:51may consider looking at Pembacs next time you're going to buy
- 3:55some precious metals. I do think you'll learn what I
- 3:58learned before they sponsored the basement and what all the
- 4:01basement dweller community is telling me via overwhelming
- 4:05response that you'll be glad that you checked them out.
- 4:08Now let's run out to I just want to, well, you need to do a
- 4:13little a little reality check here, guys.
- 4:16I don't want to see this. I do not want to see the price
- 4:18of Bitcoin. I just don't want to see it.
- 4:20But let's go look at silver and see that we are down $0.80 per
- 4:25oz in the futures market. Now I want to show you a couple
- 4:29interesting things developing on the chart as it's pulling up.
- 4:36Thank you guys for being here. OK, so this is a long term
- 4:40chart. We're going to go, we're going
- 4:43to go do the two year chart and here we are today, $30.67.
- 4:50Let's look today is 11/10. Let's go back to 11/10 of 2023
- 4:57and see where we were. Here we were one year ago we
- 5:01were at $22.00 silver, OK, right here, right where my cross is.
- 5:07If you look over guys, we were at $22.00 silver one year ago,
- 5:12OK. Then it had a little bit of a
- 5:14run up to 25. Subsequent to that we could be
- 5:16due for a run up, but none the less OK, we we have come a long
- 5:20way. I know $30, I know there's been
- 5:23some technical damage, but also on this two year chart, I want
- 5:28to point out to you something very critical and that is if we
- 5:31draw an absolute straight line from this lower point that we
- 5:36had what back in February, it was probably around February
- 5:4022nd, as I remember right around my birthday that gold and silver
- 5:44hit a low. We're still in this upward
- 5:48channel, this up upward, not necessarily upward slope.
- 5:52We still all is not lost. Let's go take a look at gold
- 5:57just because gold will act as the Big Brother and I want to
- 6:03look where we were. Let's look at the two year chart
- 6:06on gold as well and see if really everything.
- 6:08And then I got a great pep talk for you.
- 6:10Yes, we are. We are in the middle and and
- 6:14Peter Croft, the guy that wrote the book on silver, like the
- 6:18Bible of silver, had some interesting things to say about
- 6:23the pending silver shortage. We're going to talk about that
- 6:25in just a minute after we do our quick reality check on the gold
- 6:29market as well. Let's go back.
- 6:31Let's go look at the two year chart here as well.
- 6:34OK, so here we were, October of last year, we were at $1800
- 6:41gold. OK of just about here's perfect.
- 6:44We were almost still under $2000, OK, under $2000 gold
- 6:52exactly 1 year ago. Let's draw that line just for
- 6:58giggles. I mean, I can't see it getting
- 7:02that much worse from where we are.
- 7:05I mean, it kind of depends where you want to draw the line.
- 7:08We did dip a little bit below there.
- 7:10But guys, we're still in a, in a strong upward movement for both
- 7:14silver and gold. Now we are in the danger zone.
- 7:17We are at a point where we could start to have some serious
- 7:21technical breakdown if either of them go down much further.
- 7:24There's people that spend their whole careers working on this.
- 7:28Sorry, I forgot to pull the screen up.
- 7:30Thank you, thank you for being here on this dark day, this red
- 7:33day for the silver and gold price.
- 7:35But but there's people that spend their entire careers, most
- 7:39of them are saying we're still in pretty good shape.
- 7:42You know, let's see what the next week or so brings.
- 7:45I mean, Bitcoin is trading for what, 85 thousand $85,000 now
- 7:50per Bitcoin. I mean, the, the, the things,
- 7:54the dust is going to settle. I'm saying it one last time.
- 7:57Jake from Jake's Custom Parts said that about four or five,
- 8:00five days ago, late last week. Let's see where things go when
- 8:04the dust settles. It's going to be very
- 8:06interesting to see where the gold and silver price get to
- 8:09here in the coming four days as we move into Friday.
- 8:13Friday's going to be critical now.
- 8:15Now you ready for a pep talk from one of the smartest minds
- 8:19out there, a guy that I really enjoy following, who follows the
- 8:23gold, silver commodities markets like nobody.
- 8:26He's got some interesting perspective to share with us.
- 8:31And this is make sure I got you on the right screen, which I do.
- 8:36All right, our good friend Gratty and granny says this
- 8:41during pull backs. This is in red 1 needs to
- 8:44remember that gold and silver are the counterweight versus the
- 8:48defended global Fiat monetary system.
- 8:51Gold and silver are at war with the paper dollar.
- 8:55OK. And it is dying, OK, Meaning the
- 8:58Fiat monetary system, the paper system is struggling, suffering.
- 9:03So it should be obvious not to expect this bull market to be
- 9:08easy, right? It's not easy guys.
- 9:10And today is not an easy day. But if we look at the big
- 9:13picture, we see something different.
- 9:15Expect it to be hard, very hard, OK.
- 9:19And one needs to remember that silver resumed its secular bowl
- 9:23in Q1 of 2024 and gold in Q4 4 of 2023.
- 9:29That means that the big, the big trend is now up, but there will
- 9:33of course be large and small pullbacks.
- 9:36Let's say we're in a medium large right now.
- 9:40Also getting disappointed during the pull backs is not very
- 9:45productive. For example, getting too
- 9:48emotional, understand the moves and the cycles.
- 9:51Instead, mindset and knowledge is key in order to get to the
- 9:56other side. OK, now let's just pull up these
- 9:58charts that he brought up here. This is silver on a quarterly
- 10:02basis. So this measures the price on
- 10:05every three month basis. And look, right, we're broken
- 10:08out. I mean, there's no doubt about
- 10:10it. It broke out at 2650 and we're
- 10:13still broken out. And we look at gold on a
- 10:15quarterly basis, we're still broken out.
- 10:18I know, I understand. You can get mad at me.
- 10:21You can get frustrated with me. I'm mad.
- 10:25I'm frustrated, OK? But we got to make that part of
- 10:29a small and make the big thinking part of our brains big
- 10:33in the big picture for silver. Gold.
- 10:35What's changed, right? OK, yeah, sure.
- 10:39We had what I call a Black Swan election.
- 10:41A shocking election is not a political statement at all,
- 10:45right? And let me ask you this question
- 10:47about Donald Trump, right? Both his previous presidencies
- 10:51and his business dealings over decades do not indicate that
- 10:57he's a guy who's, let's say tight with money or, or likes
- 11:03austerity. He will spend, spend, spend.
- 11:06I heard someone this morning saying that during his first
- 11:09presidency, before the C19 crisis, he was already running a
- 11:14federal government deficit of over a trillion dollars.
- 11:18That was before C19. You know what happened after
- 11:20that. So to think that like suddenly
- 11:23they're going to balance the budget, suddenly the US debt is
- 11:27going to go away is dreamland. OK, let the dust settle.
- 11:31Thank you, Jake from Jake's Custom Parts for being here to
- 11:33help moderate. Thank you Annie Oakley.
- 11:36Thank you big Tim, the silvershire.
- 11:37But most important, also not most important, but as
- 11:41important, thank you, the individual basement dweller,
- 11:43who's who's, who's, who's wallowing through this mire of a
- 11:48silver and gold market that we have today.
- 11:51Guys, nothing goes straight up. Keith Newmeyer said this and I
- 11:55will always remember it. I was talking to him was
- 11:58probably 4-5 six months ago during an interview.
- 12:00Keith Newmeyer, right, like the Crown Prince of silver.
- 12:03He said he was talking about the, the, the bull market from
- 12:072001 to 2011 when silver, for instance, went from $5.00 an
- 12:12ounce all the way to $50.00 an ounce.
- 12:14And he said it would go up and up and up and then it would
- 12:17start to go down and we would think, oh, it's over, It's done,
- 12:21you know, no more. And then it would start going up
- 12:23again. That that right?
- 12:25If we're going to be optimistic and if we're going to not just
- 12:27be a blind optimist, but actually look at the big picture
- 12:33of what is going on. That I believe is what we are in
- 12:37store for. So who's Peter Cross here?
- 12:40Let me show you this. I have something to show you
- 12:41very quickly. Many people consider this book
- 12:45the great silver bowl written by Peter Croft.
- 12:49I'm not trying to sell it to you.
- 12:51You can go on Amazon and get it yourself and not I'm not to be
- 12:54the Bible of silver or the authoritative book.
- 12:58Maybe that's a bit of I'm not don't mean to be pulling
- 13:01religion into this. Peter Croft is said something
- 13:04very interesting about the silver shortage.
- 13:06Let me let me pull up. Let me pull up this article that
- 13:13was published by Money Metals. OK.
- 13:16And I, I, I, I want to just go straight to the part where he
- 13:18talks about supply deficits and silver's potential upswing in
- 13:23price and what I would say is a silver shortage, OK?
- 13:28It says over the past three years, silver demand has
- 13:32exceeded supply, driven by an expanding industrial demand.
- 13:36Make sure I got you on the right screen there.
- 13:39Can I call you guys Buttercup today?
- 13:40You're probably not in the mood for that, man.
- 13:43I looked at my precious metal mining stock portfolio earlier.
- 13:47Woof, woof. So much for the.
- 13:50So much for the. Well, anyway, yeah, not good.
- 13:53Nonetheless, silver demand has exceeded supply, driven by an
- 13:58expanding industrial demand, particularly electronic solar
- 14:01panels and EVs. The silver market operates with
- 14:05an annual supply of around a billion oz, 85% of that coming
- 14:10from mining, 15% from recycling. You knew that already, yet
- 14:15annual demand has surged to 1.2 billion oz.
- 14:19So the total supply is a billion demand is 1.2 billion, creating
- 14:23a 200 million oz shortfall currently covered by existing
- 14:28above ground stockpiles. This is what's interesting.
- 14:31Highlighted in yellow, Krauth predicts that these reserves
- 14:36will deplete within the next 12 to 18 months, which could result
- 14:41in supply constraints and significant price increases if
- 14:46demand remains high. Hold on here, Mr. Krauth, right,
- 14:54an authority in the world of silver is predicting that within
- 14:5712 to 18 months, the above ground supply, the above ground
- 15:01slush fund could be gone. Now we're going to come back to
- 15:07that very important point for you to remember.
- 15:09Let's also remember that this is all happening within a world of
- 15:14manipulation. Unicorn fart dust, whatever you
- 15:18want to call it, paper leveraged silver at the COMEX in the LBMA.
- 15:23Remember what we talked about last night, last week, 3 days,
- 15:27the last three trading days of last week?
- 15:29Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, right?
- 15:32On Wednesday, 700 million paper ounces of silver were traded.
- 15:36On Thursday, 500 million, Friday, 500 million.
- 15:40That's 1.7 billion ounces of silver were traded in three days
- 15:46last week as they smashed the price down.
- 15:49Now think about this, 1.7 billion ounces in three days.
- 15:55The entire mining sector, as Mr. Krause just pointed out, creates
- 15:59about mines about 850 million. That's two years worth of
- 16:05silver, physical silver. Two years worth, 2 years worth
- 16:10was traded in three days. So this whole situation
- 16:15surrounding the silver shortfall is occurring in an environment
- 16:20where it's actually being traded in.
- 16:22The quote UN quote price is being discovered right in a
- 16:27market that is just out in La La land.
- 16:30There's no other way to say it. And we know it's manipulated.
- 16:33JP Morgan got convicted of it. OK, I digress.
- 16:36Let's go back to the article. Industrial demand, this is a
- 16:46different way to look at it. The steady floor under, still
- 16:49under silver, silver ranks, and I didn't know this.
- 16:53This was shocking to me. Silver ranks second only to oil
- 16:58in terms of its global applications.
- 17:00And we've talked about this silver could be the new oil for
- 17:05the next 100 years. Notably in 2024, industrial
- 17:09demand, the shocker aftershocker is expected to represent 70% of
- 17:15the total silver supply, up from 50% just a few years ago.
- 17:20So industrial demand is gone from being 50% just a few years
- 17:25ago to 70 percent now in a world where the mines are actually
- 17:30producing less and less silver. I mean, it's just absolutely
- 17:34stunning. I got more.
- 17:37And this is what he did, an interview you can listen to with
- 17:42this as well. He pointed at this point that
- 17:45the industrial demand is sticky, right?
- 17:47Meaning they need to buy the silver no matter what the price
- 17:51is. They can't substitute the
- 17:53silver. It's a sticky demand level.
- 17:56And on top of that, guys, this is what I almost forgot to tell
- 17:59you, so many things are going on.
- 18:01This is insane. On top of that, we know that ETF
- 18:06at least for the last what, couple months, right?
- 18:09Chris Marcus from Arcadia Economics had a great piece on
- 18:12his, on his sub stack about the inflows going into the silver
- 18:18ETFs, right. The Silver Institute had
- 18:21budgeted for the year that there'd be about 50 million oz,
- 18:25and already it's at like 100 million oz.
- 18:28Now look, let's be real, with what's been going on the last
- 18:31few weeks, who knows what those ETF flow numbers are going to
- 18:35look like. But as of the last data that we
- 18:37had, we had an increasing demand.
- 18:40But from in, from investors for silver, oh man, there's so much
- 18:45more. Sorry guys, I'm all over this.
- 18:49Oh, this is crazy. Silver and uranium potential for
- 18:53a strong price rally. I followed the uranium market
- 18:56very closely four years ago. And this what he says is
- 18:59absolutely true. And we have seen an explosion in
- 19:03the uranium price and silver. The silver market is very, very,
- 19:09very, very similar to what happened in uranium.
- 19:13He drew an intriguing, intriguing comparison between
- 19:16silver and uranium markets. Like silver, uranium faced a
- 19:20period of high demand and limited supply, with secondary
- 19:24sources filling the gap until they dwindled, leading to a
- 19:28recent price surge from $23 to $83 per pound over a three-year
- 19:35period. Cross these similar dynamics and
- 19:38silver were above ground. Stockpiles are drinking and new
- 19:42supply is limited. Let's come back to this right?
- 19:48It's guys and we've talked about this so many times, there's only
- 19:52so much silver above ground. It is not infinite, it's finite.
- 20:00OK, and it's being drawn up, drawn upon and drawn upon and
- 20:03drawn upon. Yes, a little bit's added, but
- 20:06then more is drawn out. You know, every morning when I
- 20:09wake up, I got to feed our cats. This will be quick, but this
- 20:12relates exactly to what happened in the uranium market and what
- 20:15is happening in the silver market right now.
- 20:18We got these 3 cats, we'll call them Susie's cats, and they
- 20:21demand to be fed first thing in the morning.
- 20:23They each have their own bowl. We got a big 10 like cookie tin
- 20:27full of cat food. I take 1 cup for each bowl.
- 20:30So 3 cups, right. The cats are like the industrial
- 20:34users of silver. Think of them as as as the as
- 20:37the solar panel manufacturers, the cars.
- 20:39One of the cats names of solar. One is EV.
- 20:42The other one is, I don't know, artificial intelligence.
- 20:46Nonetheless, I take 3 cups of cat food every morning out of
- 20:49that ten, OK, it'd be like, and there's, it'd be like if there's
- 20:53a limited amount of cat food, right?
- 20:55I take 3 cups out, but only two cups go back in and there's no
- 21:00more to be had. But guess what?
- 21:02Those cats, they want to keep eating.
- 21:04They're not going to stop eating just because I say, hey guys,
- 21:07there's a shortage of cat food. I've tried that.
- 21:10No, it won't work. It's the same thing going on in
- 21:13the silver market right now. The exact same thing, right?
- 21:17There's more silver being pulled out.
- 21:20Everything that's mined is consumed.
- 21:23OK. And then of that above ground
- 21:25stockpile, right, there's parts being pulled out every year.
- 21:29What's it going to be this year? 200 million oz.
- 21:31What's it going to be next year, 200,000,300 million, 500
- 21:35million, who knows. The big key critical thing to
- 21:39remember is is they pull they that excess silver that is
- 21:43needed, right? That's also called the deficit,
- 21:46right? That is being pulled from an
- 21:49amount of silver that is that is a a fixed amount, OK and it's
- 21:55shrinking and shrinking and shrinking.
- 21:57I mean, you know, they say there's only certain things in
- 21:59life that are for certain death and taxes whatever.
- 22:03Well that as well, right? There's there's no magic amount
- 22:05of silver that can be added to that.
- 22:08Not there's only so much all and part of it's being held by you,
- 22:12part of it's being held by me. So very interesting development.
- 22:16Let's talk about though, Let's talk about the other elephant in
- 22:20the room when it comes to the silver market and that is global
- 22:24influences, India and Russia. India's surging silver demand
- 22:29also plays a critical role. The country recently cut import
- 22:33duties on silver. This is crazy, resulting in A5
- 22:37fold increase in silver imports in Q3 of 2023, the quarter that
- 22:44just ended on September 30th. Five times as much was imported
- 22:49during that period as compared to the same period last year in
- 22:532020. I think those years are off 23.
- 22:57Croft also highlighted Russia's decision to include silver in
- 23:01its national wealth fund, potentially to support domestic
- 23:05industries and accumulate silver as a strategic asset.
- 23:08Croft views these developments as additional positive drivers
- 23:12for silver prices. Russia is the first country.
- 23:16Russia is the is, in my opinion, the de facto leader of the
- 23:20BRICS, and they are buying silver.
- 23:23Do you know what a big deal? The reason why that's a big deal
- 23:27is because it's the first country.
- 23:29It's the first central bank. It's the first sovereign wealth
- 23:34fund that has that has made a a public announcement that they're
- 23:38buying silver in decades. Right. the United States used to
- 23:42buy silver. India used to buy silver.
- 23:44All right, let me run through my notes here and make sure I
- 23:46didn't miss anything. OK, OK.
- 23:50I did the cat food thing. I'm sorry I put you through
- 23:53that. I still think it's critical that
- 23:55silver is a second only to oil in terms of the global
- 23:59applications. Will silver be the new oil of
- 24:03the next 100 years? Think about AI, think about
- 24:06electric vehicles, think about solar panels.
- 24:09And we're going to talk about solar here in a little bit.
- 24:11OK, OK, brushes, buying silver. And thank you to my friend
- 24:17Brian, basement dweller Brian for for sending me that article.
- 24:20It was a great one. Is the Trump presidency?
- 24:23Is the Trump election a big Black Swan?
- 24:26Tim Z Tim Zoo sent me an e-mail right before I came on one of
- 24:30our fellow basement dwellers. Just like, well, they're pumping
- 24:32the stock market, they're pumping Bitcoin.
- 24:35Are they doing this to set up right a big fall for Trump when
- 24:40he, when he actually becomes president?
- 24:42Who knows, right? But things are weird right now.
- 24:45Things are absolutely weird right now.
- 24:48Is the crisis still to come? We need to do our daily check.
- 24:52Let's go out on a little field trip just to make sure they
- 24:55didn't solve. Nope, they didn't. the US
- 24:57national debt we're getting there guys, 35 trillion, 990
- 25:02billion. And if you live in the United
- 25:03States of America and you pay taxes, well now your share of
- 25:07the national debt is 272,000, almost $300,000.
- 25:13Think about your children. Think about your, your, your 14
- 25:16year old or my daughters are 12 right?
- 25:19In six years or 10 years, whatever, when they start
- 25:22working and paying taxes, like hey, congratulations, you can go
- 25:26get a job and and by then it'll probably be 400,000 per person.
- 25:30And oh, and by the way, not only do you have student loan debt,
- 25:34hopefully they won't, and credit card debt and car debt and in a
- 25:37three thousand $4000 a month department, but you also have a
- 25:41$600,000 your share of the United States national debt.
- 25:46What a joke. What a joke.
- 25:48That is not gone away. And again, base, what we do know
- 25:53is fact is that Donald Trump when he was president was
- 25:58helping to balloon this as well. And that was even before the C19
- 26:03crisis. We know what happened to this
- 26:05national debt number when the C19 crisis happened.
- 26:08So to think with all these promises that, you know, cut, no
- 26:12taxes on this, no taxes on tips, no taxes on Social Security, I'm
- 26:16blah, blah, blah. I mean, a lot of promises.
- 26:19It'll be interesting to see how they felt.
- 26:21Wow, time to check the dollar to silver ratio just to make sure
- 26:25that's not dropping and it's not 984.
- 26:29We are getting precarious. We're going to have two big
- 26:31milestones, $36 trillion in national debt soon and a dollar
- 26:36to silver ratio, which will soon reach $1000 per oz unless they
- 26:41decide to stop making paper Fiat dollars, which is what this
- 26:47measures, right? For each one ounce of silver,
- 26:50somebody's toiling away in Mexico, Peru, China, wherever
- 26:54they are to, to work toward producing one ounce of silver
- 26:58today. For each one of those oz that's
- 27:00produced today, the United States government is now
- 27:03printing almost $1000. Make sure I got you guys on the
- 27:07right screen, which I do and shoot, I didn't have this ready.
- 27:1311/11/24 what did I say? 984 You guys can I'll tell you
- 27:20what on a day like today, 984 as you can see, right, the amount
- 27:26of paper money being created via the M2 money supply relative to
- 27:30each one ounce of silver that's being created continues to
- 27:33skyrocket. What does that tell us?
- 27:37Let's go see what Pinbacks is telling us.
- 27:39Come on, let's press the magic button.
- 27:41We need some magic today, and woof, it ain't working.
- 27:44Down 83 cents. Well, look on the bright side.
- 27:47Wasn't silver just $35 a couple weeks ago?
- 27:51If you waited right, you're getting a much better price
- 27:54right now than if you had purchased back then.
- 27:58All right, guys, let's move on. Rick Rule, the king of precious
- 28:04metals, had a couple of interesting things to say.
- 28:08This was funny. He said somebody asked him when
- 28:11gold was going to start going, was going to start moving,
- 28:13moving up in value. He said 24 years ago, meaning
- 28:17yes. Back in what, 2002?
- 28:181001 gold was under $300.00 per oz.
- 28:23Look where it is now. I just thought that was an
- 28:25interesting perspective. What about this?
- 28:27Gold this year has set 38 records during 2024, the most
- 28:33since the 1970s. The reason why I'm saying that
- 28:37is we've got to remember all that strong momentum, all that
- 28:42push up right there. There's a lot of momentum,
- 28:45there's a lot of energy behind the gold and silver price right
- 28:48now. I know that if you're follow it
- 28:51as closely as I do, it feels cruddy today.
- 28:55OK, I can sit here and cry for you guys.
- 28:58You don't want that, right? Cuz I, you know, being emotional
- 29:02as an investor is never going to get us anywhere.
- 29:05Looking at the big picture, looking at the the facts that we
- 29:08know and putting it together will get us somewhere.
- 29:12I'm not selling right? Look, I still love grab a piece
- 29:17of your silver. There's a American Silver Eagle.
- 29:20Look at that. Look at that for a second.
- 29:23OK, And this one's getting toned or whatever they call it, but
- 29:27nonetheless, do you still love this just as much as you did
- 29:31three weeks ago when it was $4.00 per oz higher?
- 29:35I bet you do, right? Owning gold, own gold and silver
- 29:41because you're good at math, because you can go to the US
- 29:44debt clock and you can look at those numbers and you can know
- 29:48and you can see that not only do we have 36 trillion in debt,
- 29:52right, but we got a $2 trillion deficit, right?
- 29:55We're digging the hole deeper day by day.
- 29:58And we have a situation where interest rates where the world
- 30:01is not going to want to finance that debt any higher.
- 30:04And we'll continue to, to, to make the what is now almost $1
- 30:09trillion interest expense continue to skyrocket higher as
- 30:16well. We haven't seen anything yet.
- 30:18Wait, you know, if interest rates go to 8% because nobody
- 30:21wants to buy the debt, right? That makes the, the, the, the
- 30:25interest expense practically double quickly.
- 30:29Because I got news for you, the US government, they aren't
- 30:32really selling much long term debt.
- 30:34They're selling a lot of what are called T-bills now, which
- 30:36are debt instruments that that mature in a year or less.
- 30:41So that's why you buy, that's why you buy silver and gold.
- 30:47You don't even have to, we don't even have to be good at math,
- 30:49right? We just know how to basically
- 30:51work a calculator and apply a little common sense toward it.
- 30:54OK. And here's a great example, and
- 30:58we're in worse shape. I hate to break it to you, but
- 31:02we're in worst, worser, worstest.
- 31:05We're in the worstest of shape right now compared to the 1970s.
- 31:10Think about this. In the 1970's, the US dollar
- 31:14lost 75% of its value. I was born in 1970.
- 31:19I don't really remember right. OK, I remember being a 8910 year
- 31:23old kid and a quarter was a lot of money.
- 31:27I could you know, my parents gave me a dollar.
- 31:29I could go to 711 buy a Slurpee, play a game of of Donkey Kong,
- 31:34right and buy a candy bar. I mean, since then it's gone
- 31:38down right when I was 10 that but but prior to that,
- 31:42apparently from the when I was at when we went in 1970 to 1979
- 31:47nineteen 80, the dollar had already lost 75% of its value.
- 31:51Why is that important for us to realize?
- 31:54Because most of the situations, right, most of the factors that
- 31:59contributed to the price of our the value of the dollar going
- 32:04down by 75, five percent owing. Coincidentally, silver went up
- 32:09like 28 times, not 28 percent 28 times during that time period.
- 32:14Gold went up astronomically as well.
- 32:18All those factors that contributed to that in the 70s
- 32:21are even more exaggerated right now.
- 32:24Let's not lose. Let's not lose faith in that.
- 32:27Rick Rule brought this up. He said real inflation.
- 32:31This is interesting. This is why.
- 32:33This is why central banks are buying gold.
- 32:36This is why American citizens, all right, are starting to buy
- 32:41gold and silver. This is why foreign citizens,
- 32:44people in China and India are buying gold and silver like
- 32:47crazy. Think about this.
- 32:49The real inflation rate in this country right now is probably
- 32:527%. That means your dollars these
- 32:55things OK, hey there. It is making its daily
- 32:59appearance. Paper dollars are probably
- 33:01losing. I would even say it could be
- 33:03higher, but we'll be conservative and say it's losing
- 33:067% of its value. the US 10 year bond.
- 33:10Let's go take a look. Let's go take a look.
- 33:12Let's go out there and boom man, we are flying today.
- 33:18We got we still have reason to be optimistic.
- 33:21Look at gold. I do not want to see Bitcoin.
- 33:27OK, there's Bitcoin only 85,000. OK here's the 10 year bond is
- 33:32paying 4.3%. So basically right.
- 33:36Basically, if you if you put your money into a 10 year US
- 33:43bond and we're going to assume that the inflation rate is at
- 33:477.3% and this was what Rick Rule said, it's like you're paying
- 33:52the US government for the benefit of them to steal about
- 33:563% of your money per year for 10 years, for 10 years.
- 34:01If you went and bought a 10 year bond and let's say inflation,
- 34:04and this is I think a very conservative estimate, averages
- 34:087 1/2 percent over the next 10 years.
- 34:11You're getting paid 4 1/2, but your dollars are losing 7 1/2
- 34:16percent. Your money is losing 7 1/2,
- 34:19everybody says of its value. You're basically paying the US
- 34:23government to steal. And you know how whatever you
- 34:26want to say, take 3% of your money at the end of that 10
- 34:31years, whatever money you got back is going to be way less
- 34:34valuable than it was at the beginning of the 10 years.
- 34:37So does that the reason why if you're a foreign government and
- 34:42they can work a calculator and they're going to say, why would
- 34:45we buy? And that's what they're saying,
- 34:46why would we buy these bonds? This math doesn't make sense.
- 34:50But what's even more important is on top of that, not only are
- 34:53they faced with the prospect of losing 3% a year, but they don't
- 34:57know. They don't know if the if, if,
- 34:59if the United States government has, you know, has, can, can,
- 35:04can seize foreign countries assets.
- 35:06And they've been doing that by weaponizing the dollar.
- 35:09So it's no wonder that we've got foreign governments, right?
- 35:13The BRICS countries in particular that are buying the
- 35:17silver and buying the gold. OK, silver will move after gold.
- 35:22Guys, look, I know like it feels horrible right now, but it's not
- 35:28that bad. It's not, it's not good, but
- 35:31it's not that bad. If we are indeed in a bull
- 35:35market for gold, that's going to continue.
- 35:37And people like Citigroup, Citibank, right, JP Morgan, all
- 35:42these companies, companies, analysts that are saying $3000
- 35:46gold, when gold moves again, next time silver will move after
- 35:53gold. It's always, always been that
- 35:56way. OK.
- 35:59And on top of that, is it OK? Now let's talk about
- 36:02manipulation. We talked about the fact I want
- 36:05to go look here this morning. Hold on, let's go out and look
- 36:07at the silver futures market and see when this big massive, let's
- 36:15see if if if the massive downturn that we had in the
- 36:19silver price this morning coincided at all with the
- 36:23opening of the COMEX. I got a feeling we're not going
- 36:28to like what we see, but let's go to a pull up.
- 36:33Let's try A5 day chart first. OK, so here we are.
- 36:38Today is the 11th. It's 1111.
- 36:41Here's the silver price the middle of the night.
- 36:43It's one in the morning. Make sure I got you on the right
- 36:46screen, which I do. OK, so one in the morning, 2:00
- 36:51in the morning, as you can see on the bottom, that's the date
- 36:53and the time. 2:00 in the morning.
- 36:55Oh, we got a nice little bump up about 5:00 AM this morning and
- 37:00then boom, the comex opened and what happened here?
- 37:06Let me draw it for you. First off, I wish I could Draw
- 37:10Something more profane. This is not good.
- 37:15That's that's the Ron's basement mad face.
- 37:19Let's do some eyeballs. OK, Look, this is what happened
- 37:25when the Western paper markets open.
- 37:30We went from 3150 to basically 3050.
- 37:34We dropped a buck again. I know that Jesse Colombo has
- 37:40been following this. I'm sure he's going to have
- 37:42something very interesting to show us about what happened this
- 37:46morning because it's uncanny how over the last two weeks the
- 37:51silver price has been slaughtered as soon as the Comex
- 37:54and the LBMA open, right? The, I'm sorry, the Comex opened
- 37:58the LBMA, the London Bullion Market Association, which we
- 38:02don't like either. They're up to no good as well.
- 38:05But these recent big downturns have been that.
- 38:08Now let's talk about another big picture positive component to
- 38:14Silver, right? The shortage.
- 38:15We talked about it earlier. I want you to think about this
- 38:18when it comes to solar demand. I wrote this out the other day
- 38:23for remote sections of the world, OK, Places like South
- 38:27America, Africa, India, China, those are those.
- 38:31Those places are becoming more and more advanced and they need
- 38:34electricity. They want light bulbs in their
- 38:36houses. They want cell phones.
- 38:38They need to charge them. OK, guys, when it comes when it
- 38:42comes to solar panels, nothing beats silver.
- 38:46They've been trying and trying to thrift it out doesn't work.
- 38:49And if you think about this, nothing beats solar panels for
- 38:54this massive 1,000,000 billions of people throughout the world
- 39:00that are entering the consumer class that want, you know, you,
- 39:03you and I take it for granted, right?
- 39:05Like we've grown up, you know, with, with paper dollars.
- 39:08But electricity and light bulbs, my kids take it, we all take,
- 39:12There are hundreds of millions of people out there that that
- 39:16are clamoring to get their hands on some light bulbs and a cell
- 39:21phone that they can charge and they need electricity.
- 39:24And there is nothing in the world that's going to be solar.
- 39:28And silver is so critical, right?
- 39:31Not just to those solar panels, but all these new electrical
- 39:34devices that the people of the world want.
- 39:37Why is solar? Why does solar beat anything,
- 39:40right? Because let's look at India.
- 39:42It's estimated that 100 million people are going to enter the
- 39:45consumer class in India, something like the next five
- 39:48years, eight years, right? India has one .4 billion people.
- 39:51All these Indian people suddenly want light bulbs.
- 39:55I mean, you don't blame them, right?
- 39:57You know what it's like when the power goes out at your house,
- 39:59it's horrible, right? They're going to want cell
- 40:02phones. They're going to want all that.
- 40:04But when it and we're not even going to talk about the silver
- 40:06for all the other appliances just for the just for the solar
- 40:10panels. And think about this if you're
- 40:13in a remote village. In India, where the sun shines
- 40:17all the time and you need electricity, do you know how
- 40:20expensive it is to build a power plant, right?
- 40:25Whether it's nuclear, whether it's coal, whether it's natural
- 40:28gas, whether it's hydroelectric, it cost hundreds of millions of
- 40:32dollars to build a power plant. Then you got to run all that
- 40:36infrastructure, all those wires all over the place to all the
- 40:40houses. Now think about this.
- 40:42That's option one. Option 2 is you got a little
- 40:46remote village in India that now has money and wants some
- 40:49electricity. How about you throw some solar
- 40:52panels on the roof of their house, right where they need the
- 40:55electricity and run a wire Right now I don't go through the
- 40:59ceiling. That's never good for water
- 41:01management. Go around the side and through
- 41:03the wall and they got electricity, OK, And it's clean
- 41:08and it doesn't take miles and miles of infrastructure and a
- 41:11new power plant being built. That's what is.
- 41:13So I don't think that we give that enough attention as silver
- 41:18and silver investors that this this prospects for for solar in
- 41:23that regard are are are very, very, very, very, very
- 41:28optimistic right now. Did you know China and this and
- 41:32this is what's interesting because the whole this is going
- 41:35on in the whole world and the opportunity for growth in the
- 41:38solar industry and the opportunity for growth in terms
- 41:41of the silver demanded by the solar industry is staggering.
- 41:45China dominates the world's solar panel manufacturing.
- 41:48They manufacture 80% of the world's solar panels right now,
- 41:524 out of every five. OK, but India is growing like
- 41:56crazy. The other thing to consider is
- 41:58extreme weather events. Sure, they can hurt solar
- 42:02panels, but they're the, the, the, the grid is so much more
- 42:07susceptible the damage from severe weather.
- 42:12And we know that we're having more and more severe weather.
- 42:16Now that's just, that's just the industrial side, right?
- 42:22We talked about what, what Peter Cross talked about, right?
- 42:25That's just the industrial. We're focused, so hyper focused
- 42:28on electric vehicle batteries, the new Samsung solid-state
- 42:32battery that'll use 30 ounces of silver per battery.
- 42:36We're focused on the solar growth.
- 42:39We know that silver is critical to be used within the AI sector.
- 42:43All that what we're losing sight of, OK, which is probably why
- 42:48the COMEX and the LBMA are just continuing to bash the price
- 42:53down because they want, they want, the manufacturers want
- 42:57cheap silver. Oh, we didn't even talk about
- 42:59the military, which is a big black box.
- 43:01Nobody knows how much silver is used by the military, although I
- 43:05saw a congressional report from 1942 during the onset of World
- 43:11War 2 that said the the military was going to need 200 million
- 43:14ounces of silver per year during that period.
- 43:17Nonetheless, we're hyper focused and that's what industry wants
- 43:23low silver prices, right? Because it's becoming so, so
- 43:26critical. But what we're forgetting about
- 43:29is that silver is money. Silver's been money from what I
- 43:33understand, longer than gold. OK, that the word for silver and
- 43:39most other countries around the world, whatever word they use
- 43:42for silver, right? If they saw this, they saw this,
- 43:46they would, whatever word they would use to describe this.
- 43:49Metal is also the same word, right?
- 43:53That they use for money, right? We're forgetting about the
- 43:57monetary component of silver. I mean, it was in our money
- 44:00here, right? Do I need to listen?
- 44:03OK, there's a couple. There's some American silver
- 44:08dollars. It was in our money for what, a
- 44:11century, right? It's been in everybody's money.
- 44:14There's this massive monetary component of silver also, which
- 44:17in the end will shine through. Hey, guys, hang in there.
- 44:20Thank you to oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 44:23I need to say thank you to channel sponsor first mining
- 44:26gold. Here we go.
- 44:28They've got a lot of news out lately regarding permitting
- 44:32their most recent financial statements.
- 44:34You can check them out here at firstmininggold.com.
- 44:36They're a Canadian gold developer with two multi million
- 44:39ounce projects in Canada. Hey, let's talk about Fortuna
- 44:44Mining as well. Not a good day for any of the
- 44:48mining stocks, but Fortuna just reported outstanding third
- 44:53quarter earnings. You can learn more about them
- 44:55and about that report at their website here.
- 44:58And let's not forget our friends at Dirty Man Safe.
- 45:01If you want to hide, hide some gold and silver, you're probably
- 45:04buying a whole lot today in the ground like a pirate.
- 45:08Check out Dirty Man. And don't forget there's a 10%
- 45:12discount code Ron 10. Hey, let's hang in there, guys.
- 45:18OK, This is nobody said this was going to be easy.
- 45:24Look, and I, I didn't expect this to happen, so I apologize
- 45:29that that I, you know, I said the one thing that what I did
- 45:32say about the election was the only thing we can say for
- 45:34certain is uncertainty. You know how if you're like me,
- 45:40you know, I can always, I always try to imagine the worst case
- 45:43scenario in terms of the gold and silver prices.
- 45:45Not, I'm not saying anything political when I say this.
- 45:49And what has happened was about the worst case that I could have
- 45:52imagined. OK, we'll survive.
- 45:56I'd always be responsible with how you invest in stocks,
- 45:59metals, anything else, right? We never want to go crazy, use
- 46:03borrowed money, in my opinion, or anything like that.
- 46:06This is likely just a bump in the road.
- 46:09Everything will be OK. When I think about all the
- 46:12factors that are impacting the metals prices, the thesis, the
- 46:16reason why I love silver, I love gold, I love precious metal,
- 46:20mining stocks. All those things are there.
- 46:22Despite the fact that days like today feel cruddy.
- 46:25We're going to be OK. OK, Hang in there.
- 46:28Thank you for being here. Thanks for being part of the
- 46:31basement. You really are the most
- 46:32important part. I hope you have a great rest of
- 46:34your day. I'll see you.
