Speaker 1: Welcome back to I Do Part two. It's your favorite
• 0:18
Speaker 1: golden goal. Susan Knowles and Kathy Schwartz. We're stepping in
• 0:24
Speaker 1: and we love being here on I Do Part two.
• 0:28
Speaker 2: We certainly do. It's not our first time. Hey, everybody,
• 0:31
Speaker 2: welcome back. Today. We've got to unpack all the divorce
• 0:36
Speaker 2: related news in the headlines here.
• 0:39
Speaker 1: Oh got it. There's so many people, what the hell
• 0:42
Speaker 1: is in its holiday time and everyone's getting divorced telling.
• 0:45
Speaker 2: It's either some people pass away or they're announcing separations
• 0:49
Speaker 2: and divorces. I can't win, all right, So let's talk
• 0:52
Speaker 2: right about this one.
• 0:54
Speaker 1: Let's start jump right in.
• 0:56
Speaker 2: Jerry O'Connell and John Stamos taking a selfie together. Now
• 1:00
  Speaker 2: that's news.
• 1:01
Speaker 1: Okay, okay, but wait, let's talk about it. I mean
• 1:06
Speaker 1: they were Jerry O'Connell was is married now to Rebecca Romain.
• 1:15
Speaker 1: He okay, Stamos was married to Rebecca Romaine years ago, Like,
• 1:20
Speaker 1: can we please get over it? Can we?
• 1:23
  Speaker 3: Well?
• 1:24
Speaker 2: He did want to read his memoir. That was like
• 1:26
  Speaker 2: a big deal.
• 1:28
Speaker 1: Okay, wait, wait, I gotta say I think Jerry O'Connell
• 1:33
Speaker 1: not reading Stamus John Stamis's memoir is brilliant. Look what
• 1:38
Speaker 1: has gone on with our season with Gary Turner and
• 1:42
Speaker 1: his memoir and Teresa like, it's just mud slinging. So
• 1:48
Speaker 1: I think probably a good point.
• 1:51
Speaker 2: One's on one podcast, bad mounted the other because she
• 1:54
Speaker 2: don't know what's in the book yet. I mean, it
• 1:56
Speaker 2: goes on and on. But these two, okay, right of this,
• 2:01
Speaker 2: actually I think make amends. And of course Mandel takes
• 2:07
  Speaker 2: all the credit.
• 2:08
Speaker 1: Well because Howie Mandel had the party. But wait a minute,
• 2:12
Speaker 1: John Stamos had a dui in twenty fifteen. Okay, your kids.
• 2:17
Speaker 1: You know we we as parents, we've been down that
• 2:19
Speaker 1: road with our kids. Here's the thing. John Stamos blamed Romaine,
• 2:26
Speaker 1: he blamed his Yeah, hated her like it's her fault.
• 2:31
Speaker 1: What did she do inject the alcohol into his vein?
• 2:34
Speaker 1: So I have a problem with that. But here's the thing.
• 2:37
Speaker 1: I love that they've came together. It just shows you
• 2:44
Speaker 1: that you can get it together, you can finally come back.
• 2:49
Speaker 2: I think Stamos admitting eventually that he had some part
• 2:54
Speaker 2: of play in the split, and he started he even
• 2:58
Speaker 2: had quote she wasn't the maybe I was as much
• 3:02
Speaker 2: to blame as her.
• 3:03
Speaker 1: Finally, Susan the operative word. Maybe I'm going to go with, yes,
• 3:10
Speaker 1: you were. But you know what, here's the deal. Divorce sucks,
• 3:15
Speaker 1: it happens. It happens for a reason. I think that
• 3:21
Speaker 1: uh O'Connell shared some words. He said, you know, gorgeous
• 3:26
Speaker 1: family and gorgeous people. And the picture has John Stamos
• 3:31
Speaker 1: on one side, the lovely lady in the middle, and
• 3:35
Speaker 1: O'Connell on the side. So you know what is it?
• 3:38
Speaker 1: All's well? That ends well? Is that? What is that?
• 3:40
  Speaker 1: Where we are?
• 3:41
Speaker 2: Do you agree that Jerry was standing up for his
• 3:45
Speaker 2: wife by not reading the memoir or what are your
• 3:48
Speaker 2: thoughts on that? Because people are saying you know this,
• 3:50
Speaker 2: that and the third?
• 3:52
Speaker 1: I think, what do you think it was he was?
• 3:55
  Speaker 2: I mean, that's his wife, he's talk trash. He don't
• 3:59
Speaker 2: know what's in that reading it. I believe he was
• 4:03
Speaker 2: standing up for his one.
• 4:04
Speaker 1: Well, now you know, you and I always agree and disagree,
• 4:07
Speaker 1: and here we're gonna I'm going to go with it's
• 4:12
Speaker 1: like he couldn't be bothered reading it. I mean, he
• 4:16
Speaker 1: just could not be bothered to read it. Is it
• 4:18
Speaker 1: stand up for his wife? Maybe? I mean I would
• 4:21
Speaker 1: like to think that is the case. He's got a
• 4:24
Speaker 1: golf game at six, and he had to choose between
• 4:26
Speaker 1: reading the book. He had to read the book or
• 4:29
  Speaker 1: go golfing.
• 4:30
Speaker 2: I don't know, Howie. You can take the credit if
• 4:33
Speaker 2: he wants, since you had the party, I'm really happy
• 4:36
Speaker 2: that they all did this finally.
• 4:38
Speaker 1: Can I just say it took a little bit of time,
• 4:43
Speaker 1: So thank you, Howie Mandel. The only problem I have?
• 4:47
Speaker 1: You know the problem I have, Susan. Yeah, he didn't
• 4:50
Speaker 1: invite us to his birthday.
• 4:51
Speaker 2: Bring you together with somebody.
• 4:54
Speaker 1: Let's go through. Okay, so the picture, it's for all
• 4:59
Speaker 1: of us to see. We've got John Stamos on the right,
• 5:02
Speaker 1: we got Caitlin in the middle, and we have Jerry
• 5:06
Speaker 1: O'Connor on the left. It is out there forever and
• 5:10
Speaker 1: a day. The three are now friends at.
• 5:12
Speaker 2: Least that we can all smiling.
• 5:15
Speaker 1: And that is the point. All right. We got to
• 5:17
Speaker 1: move on to my favorite couple, and I'm it's actually
• 5:21
Speaker 1: the saddest one. Susan. Nicole Kidman shares her personal update
• 5:27
Speaker 1: amid keith urban divorce. Let's talk about that.
• 5:30
Speaker 2: One can tell you how shocked I thought they were
• 5:36
Speaker 2: like the perfect little couple. I'm serious.
• 5:39
Speaker 1: Tell me why because they're just perfect together, and she's
• 5:44
  Speaker 1: feeling like she.
• 5:45
Speaker 2: Keeps a low profile. She doesn't want a lot of
• 5:49
Speaker 2: people to know her business.
• 5:50
Speaker 1: They're talking about she's an oscar winner. She's more famous than.
• 5:55
Speaker 2: Profile about her marriage and her home life.
• 5:58
Speaker 1: Okay, let me just say these two were married almost
• 6:02
Speaker 1: twenty years. They have two children together. They're both fifty
• 6:06
Speaker 1: eight years old. They have two girls, a seventeen year
• 6:10
Speaker 1: old and a fourteen year old. I don't know about you, Susan,
• 6:13
Speaker 1: but the last thing I wanted would be to have
• 6:16
Speaker 1: a child at forty one and at forty five. And
• 6:19
Speaker 1: she has two kids from Tom Cruise, who I think
• 6:22
Speaker 1: in their thirties. So let's talk about what that is like.
• 6:28
Speaker 2: All, look at my daughter had one. Later, When you're
• 6:31
Speaker 2: with a second husband and they want a child, you
• 6:35
  Speaker 2: do it.
• 6:36
Speaker 1: Okay, well you do it. I'm not.
• 6:40
Speaker 2: I'm all happy for you, but would do it.
• 6:43
Speaker 1: I'll tell you. Okay, But here's the thing. I've done
• 6:46
Speaker 1: a little research, and I love I mean, Big Little Eyes,
• 6:50
Speaker 1: my favorite TV show. I think Nicole Kidman is such
• 6:54
Speaker 1: a talented actress. I love that she's taller than he is,
• 6:57
Speaker 1: and she wore it proudly all those things. But if
• 7:00
Speaker 1: you look back, he credits Keith Urban, credits Nicole Kidman
• 7:07
Speaker 1: with his recovery. He has been sober I think since
• 7:11
Speaker 1: like two thousand and five, two thousand and six, a
• 7:13
Speaker 1: long time, And he credits Nicole. She's been the glue
• 7:18
Speaker 1: of that family, and any of us strong women know
• 7:23
Speaker 1: what it's like to be the glue for our family.
• 7:25
Speaker 2: Right, women are the blue women have the strength.
• 7:30
Speaker 1: Okay, so let's talk about that. What do you think happened?
• 7:34
Speaker 1: Because the rumors are that he's dating some guitarist named
• 7:39
Speaker 1: Maggie in his bad.
• 7:40
Speaker 2: How about him changing the words to a song that what?
• 7:43
Speaker 2: That took me back?
• 7:44
Speaker 1: I know, but the rumors have it. You know, if
• 7:48
Speaker 1: you read the sheets that he's had, he's he's dipped.
• 7:53
Speaker 1: What's the expression, he's dabbled on the other side, you know,
• 7:57
Speaker 1: he's had a few affairs whatever. I don't want to say. Yeah,
• 8:01
Speaker 1: I think before Why do you think it? Because that's
• 8:04
Speaker 1: what I read in the tabloids, and and everything in
• 8:06
Speaker 1: the tabloids is true.
• 8:07
Speaker 2: You know that we don't think we read or see
• 8:11
Speaker 2: on social media. But I love that they're in agreement
• 8:14
Speaker 2: of the custody, like.
• 8:15
Speaker 1: She's not excuse me, agreement, she's got the kids. Let's
• 8:20
Speaker 1: count the days sick days. Yeah, and he gets them
• 8:23
Speaker 1: fifty nine. So what does that tell you? Is his
• 8:26
Speaker 1: copybook clean? I don't think so.
• 8:28
Speaker 2: They mutually signed off on a proposal that she gets
• 8:33
Speaker 2: them three hundred and six days and he gets them
• 8:35
Speaker 2: fifty nine. He's probably touring making music, you know what
• 8:39
  Speaker 2: I'm saying.
• 8:40
Speaker 1: So you're excusing him not being a good parent because
• 8:43
  Speaker 1: he's touring.
• 8:43
Speaker 2: On me say it was not being a good parent.
• 8:46
Speaker 2: But on old school, most most of the time children
• 8:51
Speaker 2: belong with their mothers.
• 8:52
Speaker 1: Well, well most of the time, not all, Susan, are
• 8:58
Speaker 1: you really we're gonna disagree this early end in this podcast.
• 9:04
Speaker 1: You don't believe in the fifty to fifty rule, and
• 9:08
Speaker 1: sometimes I do, yes, I always believe a dad is
• 9:13
Speaker 1: as important in a child's life.
• 9:15
Speaker 2: Dads don't have the time that moms do. All all though, today.
• 9:19
Speaker 1: I'm sorry, Nicole, I'm sorry, Susan, I got to interrupt
• 9:22
Speaker 1: to you. Nicole Kidman, I would argue, is a bigger
• 9:27
Speaker 1: star than Keith Urban. She works, she is an Oscar winner,
• 9:31
Speaker 1: she's got shows, she's got movies.
• 9:34
Speaker 2: But when someone says they mutually signed off on an agreement,
• 9:39
Speaker 2: he agreed to it, Kathy, So why would you like that.
• 9:44
Speaker 1: He agreed Susan clearly? Okay for all y'all listening. Susan,
• 9:51
Speaker 1: as you know, is divorced from her husband, Dicky Knowles,
• 9:54
Speaker 1: and they had a very easy time of their divorce.
• 9:57
Speaker 1: They agreed on most things. Newsfly. Most people don't have
• 10:03
Speaker 1: quite that amenable a divorce. And I'm guessing, I am
• 10:08
Speaker 1: guessing that Keith, there's probably some This is just the
• 10:13
Speaker 1: world according to Kathy. But you know, Kathy's always right. Always.
• 10:19
Speaker 1: I think that there were there was some infidelity going
• 10:25
Speaker 1: on over the time of their marriage, not just now.
• 10:29
Speaker 1: And I think the fact that Keith and Nicholl's kids
• 10:32
Speaker 1: are almost grown, they're getting there, that she said enough
• 10:37
Speaker 1: is enough. And I don't blame her if that's the case,
• 10:40
Speaker 1: If infidelity is the deal, I don't blame her for,
• 10:44
Speaker 1: you know, for saying see you later.
• 10:46
Speaker 2: And we're still in the same city, not in the
• 10:48
  Speaker 2: same house.
• 10:49
Speaker 1: Right, so it's easy for the kids to go back
• 10:51
Speaker 1: and forth. But I got to say to you, you
• 10:53
  Speaker 1: and I you know, I'm a hopeful romantic you're a
• 10:57
  Speaker 1: hopeless romantic.
• 10:59
  Speaker 2: Wait were you?
• 11:01
Speaker 1: Yes? Did you not see this guy? When Keith Urban
• 11:04
Speaker 1: gets his awards, he looks over at her, dreamy eyed
• 11:07
Speaker 1: and says, you know all to my beautiful wife, Nicole,
• 11:10
Speaker 1: And she sits there demure, blinking her eyes, her little
• 11:13
Speaker 1: doe eyes. I'm like, these two are going to put
• 11:16
Speaker 1: Hollywood to shame. They're going to make it forever.
• 11:20
  Speaker 2: It's sad. It's so sad.
• 11:23
  Speaker 1: It's so sad. Oh god, what's next. I don't even
• 11:25
Speaker 1: know Rachel, Rachel Zoe. Oh gosh, and get them filtered.
• 11:35
Speaker 2: But I loved her honesty and she says, I feel
• 11:39
Speaker 2: different on every level. And she's very honest about what
• 11:44
Speaker 2: she's dealing with. Okay, Bravo hit Rachel's project. Okay, we
• 11:50
Speaker 2: know that about her. She said, my goal is really
• 11:54
Speaker 2: to share the reality of my life and everyone's going
• 11:58
Speaker 2: through stuff. Isn't that true?
• 12:01
  Speaker 1: Everybody's going through stuff. I got a bad haircut, I'm
• 12:04
Speaker 1: going through bad haircut. Here's the deal with Rachel. This
• 12:09
Speaker 1: is a direct quote. She is divorcing Roger Berman. She says, quote,
• 12:15
Speaker 1: I'm independent financially, professionally, and socially. And she says that
• 12:23
Speaker 1: is important for a woman, no matter and I don't
• 12:26
Speaker 1: not sure if she said this or some podcast she
• 12:30
Speaker 1: was on. She says, no matter what life throws at you,
• 12:35
Speaker 1: you have to be able to stand up on your own.
• 12:38
Speaker 1: Let me let me take issue that for one second.
• 12:41
Speaker 2: One more thing that she quote, I quote, you have
• 12:43
Speaker 2: to have your own things to wake up for every day,
• 12:47
Speaker 2: so you can't count on a man for your life.
• 12:51
Speaker 2: You have don't do it for yourself, and then you
• 12:54
Speaker 2: join somebody's life. I get it.
• 12:57
Speaker 1: I agree. Now that's Hollywood. Let's talk reality. Rachel is
• 13:03
Speaker 1: a very successful TV star. She has made a lot
• 13:07
Speaker 1: of money. She will continue, She's going back to reality TV.
• 13:12
Speaker 1: This is a woman who has resources. So while I
• 13:17
Speaker 1: agree with her that every woman should be independent financially,
• 13:23
Speaker 1: professionally and socially, that's not always the case, is it.
• 13:28
Speaker 2: Not all women are now some women depend on.
• 13:32
  Speaker 1: Their husbands financially.
• 13:34
  Speaker 2: Totally different.
• 13:35
Speaker 1: Divorce so well, but many divorces. I'm saying, in Hollywood,
• 13:42
Speaker 1: sometimes you have two power a power couple, right, and
• 13:45
Speaker 1: they can walk away and they're arguing over you know,
• 13:48
Speaker 1: who gets the horse and the stables and the and
• 13:52
Speaker 1: the maserati. I mean that that's Hollywood, but in reality,
• 13:58
Speaker 1: women unfortunately in our society sometimes don't have the upper
• 14:04
Speaker 1: hand because they've stayed home, they raise children.
• 14:07
Speaker 2: They have careers, absolutely, but we're talking about them and
• 14:12
Speaker 2: she's fine. But she says there that she wants to
• 14:15
Speaker 2: help other women, and her point is do your own thing,
• 14:21
Speaker 2: be stable financially. But not all women have careers. It's
• 14:24
Speaker 2: easy for her to say.
• 14:26
Speaker 1: That that's your singing my song, so you knows. As
• 14:30
Speaker 1: much as I agree philosophically with her point of view,
• 14:34
Speaker 1: I struggle because life throws a lot of things and
• 14:38
Speaker 1: a lot of us and women who have lots of
• 14:42
Speaker 1: kids who haven't had the education or haven't had the
• 14:45
Speaker 1: luck to have a great career, they are unfortunately must
• 14:52
Speaker 1: rely on the good either really good lawyer.
• 14:55
Speaker 2: Well look at mine for instance. I just said on
• 14:59
Speaker 2: our podcast the other day that I stayed in a marriage,
• 15:04
Speaker 2: but we weren't really together in our house for my
• 15:07
Speaker 2: children until they were old enough. And I'll never forget
• 15:11
Speaker 2: my son saying Mom, why did you wait so long?
• 15:14
Speaker 2: We know you're not happy because we didn't fight and
• 15:17
Speaker 2: things like that, but I thought it was best for
• 15:19
Speaker 2: my children to have both parents around, even though Dicky
• 15:24
Speaker 2: was all playing ball, and you know, it was just
• 15:26
Speaker 2: more stable. Was I right? Maybe not?
• 15:30
Speaker 1: Well, let me ask you something, did you guys did
• 15:33
Speaker 1: you guys have a pre nup? Would you have done
• 15:37
Speaker 1: it now? Would you do it now? If you got
• 15:40
  Speaker 1: married again.
• 15:41
  Speaker 2: Have a prenup?
• 15:42
  Speaker 1: Yeah?
• 15:43
Speaker 2: It depends on who I married. If he didn't need mine.
• 15:46
  Speaker 1: Then what. I don't know. I just I just feel
• 15:50
Speaker 1: like in some of these marriages, one or the other
• 15:56
Speaker 1: makes more money, is more famous, and I feel like
• 16:00
Speaker 1: in this case, Rachel is the one with the bucks,
• 16:04
Speaker 1: and so it's very easy to make those statements, to
• 16:08
Speaker 1: make those statements. You know, every everybody's going through stuff.
• 16:12
Speaker 1: She's going through stuff with a lot of money, a
• 16:14
  Speaker 1: lot of power.
• 16:15
Speaker 2: Because she's died up right now and she's on the
• 16:18
Speaker 2: on the good ride right now. You know what I'm saying.
• 16:21
Speaker 2: If she was at the end of her career or
• 16:23
Speaker 2: not having work or something, it might be a totally
• 16:25
  Speaker 2: different well.
• 16:27
  Speaker 1: And that's I think. I think it's easy for her
• 16:31
Speaker 1: to say, you have to be able to stand on
• 16:33
Speaker 1: your own, you just have to. I think throw you
• 16:37
Speaker 1: know a guy, let's let's say I know it never happens.
• 16:41
Speaker 1: But let's talk about a man who is has had
• 16:45
Speaker 1: some infidelity. Let's say in their marriage, it never happens.
• 16:48
Speaker 1: I know. But and and you know, you've got three
• 16:51
Speaker 1: kids under ten and you're running the girl Scout meeting
• 16:55
Speaker 1: because you don't you know, you don't have a career,
• 16:59
Speaker 1: because your career was being a mom. And I know
• 17:02
Speaker 1: that today a lot of women have careers and they
• 17:05
Speaker 1: have nanny's and all that.
• 17:06
Speaker 2: Most of Hollywood, if you will, every everyday couple you
• 17:10
Speaker 2: know that work and want to stay at home mom
• 17:13
  Speaker 2: don't have a nanny.
• 17:15
Speaker 1: So I think that exactly their kids go to daycare.
• 17:19
Speaker 1: I don't know. I just think that that for her.
• 17:23
Speaker 1: You know, I don't even know who Roger Berman is.
• 17:25
Speaker 1: That's who she's divorcing. She's the big name here, not him,
• 17:29
Speaker 1: And so I think it's very easy for her to
• 17:32
  Speaker 1: walk away.
• 17:33
Speaker 2: We haven't heard side, right.
• 17:35
Speaker 1: But here's the thing. I bet there's more juicy details
• 17:38
Speaker 1: coming Susan because he ran her business. So let's find
• 17:41
Speaker 1: out what you know, there's.
• 17:42
Speaker 3: Gonna be more coming out of that story.
• 17:53
Speaker 1: All right, give me the next one. What do you got?

Speaker 2: And this next title is Scott Wolf Sharing of his
• 18:01
Speaker 2: estranged wife Kelly hugging son Miller and mid their divorce.
• 18:06
Speaker 1: Okay, what do you think about that?
• 18:08
Speaker 2: And he put out the instagram all kinds of tribute
• 18:12
Speaker 2: to Miller, who was turning thirteen on his birthday. I
• 18:16
Speaker 2: mean he I think he did a nice He's a teenage,
• 18:22
Speaker 2: A teenager now fastening our chin straps.
• 18:26
Speaker 1: Okay, hold on, here's the thing. Scott Wolf is a guy.
• 18:31
Speaker 1: I gotta be honest. I didn't watch his show. He
• 18:34
Speaker 1: was on Party of five. But here's the news there.
• 18:38
Speaker 1: He has got soul, physical and legal custody and the
• 18:45
Speaker 1: raining order and guess what else? He has sole use
• 18:48
Speaker 1: of the family home in Utah, which, by the way, Scott,
• 18:51
Speaker 1: if you're listening, I like to ski, give me a call.
• 18:54
Speaker 1: But he wished her happy birthday. This is the guy,
• 18:58
Speaker 1: I think again, I don't know. I'm not an insider here.
• 19:01
Speaker 2: But he also had a temporary restraining order against her.
• 19:04
Speaker 1: So what do you think is going on?
• 19:06
Speaker 2: Why are you wishing your happy birthday and posting all
• 19:09
Speaker 2: these things? If you don't want to near you.
• 19:11
Speaker 1: I'll tell you why. My guess is Kelly has some
• 19:17
Speaker 1: serious mental health, maybe some alcohol issues going on and
• 19:22
Speaker 1: you know what, he's probably it's holiday time. He probably
• 19:26
Speaker 1: feels sorry. You know, she's maybe has some addictions. I
• 19:30
Speaker 1: my hat, I give him great props. I you know,
• 19:35
Speaker 1: I don't know if you have any of those issues
• 19:36
Speaker 1: in your family, But I grew up with an alcoholic stepfather.
• 19:40
Speaker 1: And it's tough and it's scary, and you know, can
• 19:45
Speaker 1: you imagine having a child and your spouse is alcoholic?
• 19:51
Speaker 2: Yes, addiction by what it is. But there's something, Yes,
• 19:55
Speaker 2: there's something another twenty one, It was twenty seven years. Yeah,
• 20:00
  Speaker 2: that's a long time.
• 20:02
Speaker 1: But so here, let me just ask you a little
• 20:04
Speaker 1: interlude question here. How much do you think it takes
• 20:10
Speaker 1: for someone to walk away after twenty twenty five years?
• 20:15
Speaker 1: What do you think it takes? One thing? What do
• 20:17
  Speaker 1: you think happens?
• 20:19
Speaker 2: Well, sometimes infidelity could start it, but personally, we didn't
• 20:24
Speaker 2: each other do anything wrong.
• 20:26
Speaker 1: We just are you right? You and Dickie?
• 20:28
Speaker 2: Yes, we grew separately in separate ways, and my likes
• 20:34
Speaker 2: and desires and wants and his were totally different. And
• 20:38
Speaker 2: that's how do you keep that gown? You agree to disagree,
• 20:43
Speaker 2: but then there comes a time where there's nothing in
• 20:46
Speaker 2: common any right, right, that's not a good marrons.
• 20:50
Speaker 1: So you know in my marriage, so you and are
• 20:53
  Speaker 1: that's I mean, it's so funny. We're such good friends,
• 20:55
Speaker 1: but we've had such different backgrounds and we have such
• 20:58
Speaker 1: different lives because I was married almost forty six years
• 21:03
Speaker 1: before my husband took his life and marriage is never perfect.
• 21:07
Speaker 1: But he was a great guy. We have three kids,
• 21:10
Speaker 1: you know, we had the dog, the cat, the car,
• 21:13
Speaker 1: the picket fence, the whole bit. And yet we had
• 21:17
  Speaker 1: issues too.
• 21:18
Speaker 2: Of everybody does everybody. There's not a perfect relationship. You're
• 21:23
Speaker 2: going to have disagreements.
• 21:26
Speaker 1: But here, yeah, I agree. Here is one of the differences.
• 21:30
Speaker 1: You and I were not and are not under a microscope.
• 21:35
Speaker 1: Our marriages were our marriages. These people everybody's watching them.
• 21:41
Speaker 1: Everybody's looking to see. Oh and when when when news
• 21:46
Speaker 1: comes of a dui.
• 21:48
Speaker 2: We're on TV? Everybody knows your business, like Kathy when
• 21:54
Speaker 2: we were on TV. What how about our emails and
• 21:57
Speaker 2: the and the messages and the statements that people write?
• 22:01
Speaker 2: Like social media can be a bitch it really.
• 22:06
Speaker 1: I agree. I agree social media plays a role, but
• 22:10
Speaker 1: I think these people, if they're micro managed and micro
• 22:15
Speaker 1: viewed every move they take and photographed and then something imagine,
• 22:22
Speaker 1: you know, a guy steps out, they've got some video
• 22:25
Speaker 1: of it. Some I don't know. I think that would
• 22:28
Speaker 1: be hard to keep a marriage together when you're barraged
• 22:32
Speaker 1: with this happened, that happened.
• 22:35
Speaker 2: But then you have to if you're there, you how
• 22:38
Speaker 2: to understand that they know. Tabloids are tabloids. You know,
• 22:42
Speaker 2: people don't always print the truth. But I don't think
• 22:47
Speaker 2: that's the cause of any of these new divorces.
• 22:51
  Speaker 1: You don't no.
• 22:54
Speaker 2: Why we just said this one. Obviously she's having some
• 22:58
Speaker 2: kind of an issue and he's protecting.
• 23:00
Speaker 1: His kids kids. Yeah, I know, I do what Yeah,
• 23:06
Speaker 1: I do feel sorry. You know, Kelly is saying he's
• 23:10
Speaker 1: one of the best dads she's ever met. I think,
• 23:14
Speaker 1: you know, mental health. I hate to say it, but
• 23:17
Speaker 1: it plays you know, it plays a role in my family.
• 23:20
Speaker 1: It plays a role in many families. And and I
• 23:24
Speaker 1: you know, I read these headlines and I think, how
• 23:28
Speaker 1: lucky are we that our life is not that public.
• 23:32
Speaker 2: Dicky was a major League baseball player, so we were watched,
• 23:35
Speaker 2: but nothing like being on television.
• 23:38
Speaker 1: Well, but when you guys were married, Susan, there was
• 23:41
Speaker 1: not the social media the attention. I mean literally, you know,
• 23:47
Speaker 1: the guy photographs you. It's on Instagram, It's on every.
• 23:52
Speaker 2: Social How about it?
• 23:54
Speaker 1: I don't know. I think it's got to be hard. Okay,
• 23:56
Speaker 1: So our next story is Candy Burris feels divorced from
• 24:01
Speaker 1: Todd Tucker. It's been brewing for a while. That's the headline.
• 24:05
Speaker 2: Holy smokes and My Housewives. I gotta love this.
• 24:11
Speaker 1: Okay, But how long is a while? This is what
• 24:14
Speaker 1: I want to know. How long is a while? What
• 24:18
Speaker 1: do you think about that? Well?
• 24:20
Speaker 2: First of all, I love the housewives?
• 24:21
Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, so she was on just she was on
• 24:27
Speaker 1: the Housewives of Atlanta I think for like fourteen seasons.
• 24:31
Speaker 1: So she is divorcing Todd. She said that when she filed,
• 24:36
Speaker 1: you know, things have been up and down. I would
• 24:39
Speaker 1: say a lot more down than up. But the divorce
• 24:42
Speaker 1: has been a long time in coming. They were married,
• 24:45
Speaker 1: I believe eleven years. They've got got two kids who
• 24:49
Speaker 1: are nine and six. She has said repeatedly, the kids
• 24:53
Speaker 1: come first. Here's what I gotta say. Anybody who is
• 24:57
Speaker 1: in the limelight like she is, who can say, great, dad,
• 25:03
Speaker 1: I want an amicable divorce. The kids come first. I
• 25:06
Speaker 1: give her great props. What do you think?
• 25:09
Speaker 2: Absolutely, that tells me she wanted the divorce more so.
• 25:14
Speaker 2: I don't know why, but just because of that. And
• 25:18
Speaker 2: she came out with the Amazon Live Okay, confirming she
• 25:22
Speaker 2: filed on Friday, and she says it's been pretty crazy
• 25:28
Speaker 2: since then. Yeah, she's going to be very honest with us.
• 25:31
Speaker 2: She's up and down, but obviously going through a divorce
• 25:36
Speaker 2: is definitely not the easiest time. Well, I'll agree to that.
• 25:40
Speaker 2: No is easy, right, Sometimes you're cool and sometimes you're said,
• 25:46
Speaker 2: I mean, it's ups and downs.
• 25:48
Speaker 1: Yeah, although she said, this is why I agree with you.
• 25:52
Speaker 1: I think it is her asking for the divorce, she said.
• 25:56
Speaker 1: She addressed the online reactions to her split, saying it's
• 26:00
Speaker 1: been quote hard and quote everyone's making their own narrative
• 26:06
Speaker 1: of what's going on, which tells me she's trying to
• 26:10
Speaker 1: take the high road. She doesn't want to give too
• 26:13
Speaker 1: many details. I really do give her great props, and
• 26:16
Speaker 1: you know why I do. She's got two young kids.
• 26:19
Speaker 1: It's not like some of these other couples that have
• 26:22
Speaker 1: grown children. They have a long time of co parenting.
• 26:27
Speaker 2: Come in their way, and did you read and this
• 26:30
Speaker 2: touchtne for me? When she said there are moments she
• 26:34
Speaker 2: wants to reply to these online comments. Do you know
• 26:38
Speaker 2: how many times that you get that negative? And she
• 26:41
Speaker 2: said I'm all over the place, later saying sometimes things
• 26:46
Speaker 2: just don't work out.
• 26:48
Speaker 1: Yes, but here's the thing. How long do you think
• 26:50
Speaker 1: that was going on? I mean, seriously, do you think
• 26:54
Speaker 1: more often than not people know divorces coming, or do
• 26:58
Speaker 1: you think people just sit in their own happiness? What
• 27:00
Speaker 1: do you think sit in their own happiness or unhappiness happiness?
• 27:05
Speaker 2: I think a lot of people realize it but don't
• 27:09
Speaker 2: act upon it right. They don't want to be the
• 27:12
Speaker 2: one and both of them might be feeling that until
• 27:16
Speaker 2: they come to their senses and share it with each other.
• 27:19
Speaker 2: But more times than not, it's usually one that wants
• 27:22
Speaker 2: out more than the other.
• 27:25
Speaker 1: That's funny. You say that. I mean again, I'm you're divorced.
• 27:30
Speaker 1: I'm not, but you got it. Let me just say,
• 27:33
Speaker 1: and I didn't say this before all these divorces with kids.
• 27:37
Speaker 1: My parents were divorced when I was six. My dad
• 27:42
Speaker 1: remarried the same year, and he remarried an amazing woman.
• 27:48
Speaker 1: Was really I was, yeah, she absolutely she I considered
• 27:52
Speaker 1: her my mom, but I have to say my parents
• 27:57
Speaker 1: had a divorce like the word of the Roses. I mean,
• 28:01
Speaker 1: it was screaming fits. It was not pleasant. It really
• 28:05
Speaker 1: was not pleasant, and which of course made me work
• 28:07
Speaker 1: harder on my own marriage. But I got to say,
• 28:11
Speaker 1: people who try to do it right for their young kids,
• 28:17
Speaker 1: I don't even know what that looks like, because, as
• 28:19
Speaker 1: I just said, my parents didn't do it. They didn't
• 28:22
Speaker 1: do it right. But I gotta feel, like, what do
• 28:25
Speaker 1: you think? It's like I'm kind of role playing here,
• 28:28
Speaker 1: like when you said to Dicky, I want out because
• 28:32
Speaker 1: you asked for the divorce, right, Like was he shocked?
• 28:36
Speaker 1: Did he know what was coming?
• 28:38
Speaker 2: Because we were not even living together. We were in
• 28:41
Speaker 2: the same house, but not together. You know, we were
• 28:44
Speaker 2: passing ships through the night. Like when he was on
• 28:48
Speaker 2: the road, I ran the house, which was most of
• 28:51
Speaker 2: the time, and when he come home, he'd started to
• 28:53
Speaker 2: do his parenting and it was different than mine. So right,
• 28:57
Speaker 2: we kind of didn't agree on a lot of things.
• 29:00
Speaker 2: And then my boys gave us trouble when they got
• 29:02
Speaker 2: a little older, and that was a really rough part.
• 29:05
Speaker 2: But we were stood together on that.
• 29:08
Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, I hear you. One particular friend I have,
• 29:12
Speaker 1: I still have her. Her husband traveled for business, not sports,
• 29:16
Speaker 1: but his business is traveling to do his job. He's
• 29:20
Speaker 1: a lawyer, and they will never it's he's he was
• 29:25
Speaker 1: never there. And I remember her saying to me at
• 29:31
Speaker 1: the time, like, do you think he has another family?
• 29:34
Speaker 1: Do you think? But I didn't have that.
• 29:36
Speaker 2: That does happen, actually does happen. That's crazy.
• 29:40
Speaker 1: I mean my husband was home. But I just wonder
• 29:45
Speaker 1: some of these stories that were some of these headlines
• 29:48
Speaker 1: that we're talking about.
• 29:49
Speaker 2: A lot of them are both professionals, so they both
• 29:52
Speaker 2: have outside lives, right and movies. They're playing a guitar.
• 29:57
Speaker 2: I mean, they're in a band, they're traveling their road trip.
• 30:00
Speaker 1: So how hard do you think, I mean, you had it.
• 30:02
Speaker 1: How hard is it to have a marriage where there's travel?
• 30:07
Speaker 2: Very hard? Very difficult, because you know there's days when
• 30:11
Speaker 2: you know when he will come home from work and
• 30:13
Speaker 2: you're just like, oh what a day, Like take them,
• 30:15
Speaker 2: I don't want any part of the treat, you know,
• 30:18
  Speaker 2: But I didn't have that.
• 30:20
Speaker 1: I say that now about my cats. There's just no
• 30:22
Speaker 1: one to take care of them.
• 30:24
Speaker 2: I think he does some speaking engagements and I'll ever
• 30:27
Speaker 2: forget he was doing the talk and he goes, you know,
• 30:30
Speaker 2: I come home from a road trip. My wife looked
• 30:33
Speaker 2: like don king her hair. There is magic mark or
• 30:37
Speaker 2: a lipstick on the wall.
• 30:39
  Speaker 1: She was spent.
• 30:40
Speaker 2: That was it. There was one of those weeks and
• 30:44
Speaker 2: a three year old.
• 30:45
Speaker 1: You know really, So, I mean I can see where
• 30:50
Speaker 1: where Yeah, I mean think about it in the divorce
• 30:55
Speaker 1: is like so is traumatic for most people. Some people,
• 30:59
Speaker 1: I guess just say walk away. Say it's been real
• 31:01
Speaker 1: if they walk away. But for a lot of people,
• 31:04
Speaker 1: it's from out Can you imagine the headlines? Can you imagine?
• 31:09
Speaker 1: And so I got to say these women that say,
• 31:12
Speaker 1: are these men that say in this case, you know
• 31:17
Speaker 1: candy saying it's been brewing for a while, Like that
• 31:21
Speaker 1: really means it's been going down for a while, and
• 31:24
  Speaker 1: I'm done.
• 31:25
Speaker 2: Some disagreements going on, and they knew it was coming.
• 31:39
Speaker 2: On a better note the next one that's.
• 31:43
  Speaker 1: Okay, okay.
• 31:44
Speaker 2: On Goslin's new wife, Stephanie reveals the important promise he
• 31:51
Speaker 2: made during his wedding vows when I tell you, I
• 31:55
Speaker 2: thought that was so so.
• 31:57
Speaker 1: Special, Tell me why.
• 32:00
Speaker 2: Okay, that was very emotional wedding and John Goslin will
• 32:04
Speaker 2: remember from Johnny Kate plus eight. Do you remember that?
• 32:07
  Speaker 1: Oh? I do.
• 32:09
Speaker 2: Stephanie was a former beautician. Yeah again I can relate.
• 32:14
Speaker 2: Married in an intimate ceremony in Leicester, just on Sunday,
• 32:20
Speaker 2: November twenty third, as they stood in the altar in
• 32:25
Speaker 2: front of their one hundred and eighty guests, John made
• 32:29
Speaker 2: such a touching promise to his bride quote, I promised
• 32:33
Speaker 2: to love you with conditions, to lift you up when
• 32:37
Speaker 2: you are tired, to laugh with you, enjoy and hold
• 32:41
Speaker 2: you in sorrow. I like, like you know, I'm almost okay.
• 32:46
Speaker 1: Wait, first of all, I gotta get throw some humans.
• 32:49
Speaker 2: One thing, he says, Katy, this part she put me
• 32:52
Speaker 2: over the top. I promised to love your daughter as
• 32:56
Speaker 2: my own daughter, referring to his wife's Stephanie's daughter. Right,
• 33:03
Speaker 2: He says, it means the world to her and he
• 33:06
Speaker 2: didn't feel what what didn't you feel?
• 33:09
Speaker 1: Okay? Here's you know me? Because Susan is hopeless romantic.
• 33:14
Speaker 1: I'm the realist. I think. First of all, I'm so
• 33:17
Speaker 1: happy that John has found Stephanie. But can I just
• 33:21
Speaker 1: say he's got how many children from his first man?
• 33:27
Speaker 1: So Stephanie deserves a crown. Let me just say a
• 33:30
Speaker 1: crown with a diamond stud for each stepchild. That's I
• 33:36
  Speaker 1: don't care. I don't care. Okay, let me say I
• 33:40
Speaker 1: have a step mom. So this warmed my heart because
• 33:44
Speaker 1: I just told you my stepmother was is my world.
• 33:48
Speaker 1: She passed away two years ago, but she was my mom.
• 33:51
Speaker 1: I think it's interesting. Let me say he's got eight kids. Yes,
• 33:55
Speaker 1: he's got quintuplets, quadruplets, whatever the hell they're called. Only
• 34:00
Speaker 1: two of the kids came to the wedding, So I'm
• 34:02
Speaker 1: already thinking we got problems in paradise here because not
• 34:07
Speaker 1: all the kids came to the wedding. That's number one.
• 34:09
Speaker 1: Number two, I want to know why. I think it's
• 34:15
Speaker 1: lovely that he mentioned Stephanie's daughter in the vows. I
• 34:20
Speaker 1: think it's so sweet, but I'm But then the realist,
• 34:23
Speaker 1: Kathy is saying, did we not have these conversations about
• 34:27
Speaker 1: your daughter before we got married, that you know she's gonna,
• 34:31
Speaker 1: oh my god, I have another daughter, Like, did we
• 34:33
Speaker 1: not have this conversation? Noticeably absent was her comment about
• 34:38
Speaker 1: how thrilled she was to have eight step children. We
• 34:41
Speaker 1: didn't hear about that, And I want to say that
• 34:44
Speaker 1: my son, you're the wedding efficient here. So I'm coming
• 34:47
Speaker 1: back to you in a second with a question. My
• 34:50
Speaker 1: son married an amazing woman two years ago, and yes,
• 34:54
Speaker 1: Susan Knowles was the wedding efficient and did a fabulous job.
• 34:59
Speaker 1: My son married a woman who has three sons. My
• 35:03
Speaker 1: son has a daughter, so there are four children, not eight,
• 35:09
Speaker 1: but half of that, and they are a complete family.
• 35:13
Speaker 1: But they had the conversations before about you know, raising
• 35:20
Speaker 1: children and their values and working as a united family.
• 35:25
Speaker 2: I don't think he did. Is that what you're saying,
• 35:27
Speaker 2: You don't conversation took place. I'm saying the woman's not waring.
• 35:33
Speaker 2: She knows there's eight kids involved.
• 35:35
Speaker 1: It's Johnny, Listen, I'm a hard ass sometimes. Why is
• 35:40
Speaker 1: it so sweet that she mentioned, you know, he's got
• 35:45
Speaker 1: nine eggs out of a dozen.
• 35:47
Speaker 2: Now, I mean he didn't expect it. She didn't expect
• 35:52
Speaker 2: that I would one of his vows.
• 35:55
  Speaker 1: I would.
• 35:55
Speaker 2: That's what took her back. I would, Okay, Kathy, I've
• 36:01
  Speaker 2: been honest.
• 36:02
Speaker 1: If I'm marrying a man and I have children, look, I.
• 36:06
Speaker 2: Am a wedding efficient. A lot of people write their
• 36:10
Speaker 2: own valves. Some of them just write words they took
• 36:13
Speaker 2: off the internet. Some of them make me cry. It's unbelievable.
• 36:19
Speaker 2: Some of them stutter over it. Some say forget this
• 36:22
Speaker 2: and rip up the paper and just speak from their heart.
• 36:25
Speaker 2: That is beautiful, and what that man said meant the
• 36:29
  Speaker 2: world to her.
• 36:31
Speaker 1: No, I'm not taking it away. I'm saying I think
• 36:36
Speaker 1: it's lovely. But noticeably absent is her saying. And I
• 36:41
Speaker 1: cannot believe I'm the mother of nine.
• 36:44
Speaker 2: Oh kind of tell you?
• 36:46
Speaker 1: I break out in a sweat.
• 36:47
Speaker 2: She's not the mother of nine. They have a mother.
• 36:52
Speaker 2: She is their father's wife. That's all. She don't have
• 36:56
Speaker 2: to raise those eight kids. They're raised. Okay, they're twenty one,
• 37:01
  Speaker 2: they're adults.
• 37:02
Speaker 1: She is their stepmother.
• 37:04
Speaker 2: What through the through the words stepmother? Because you married
• 37:08
Speaker 2: their dad. That does it really make you a mom?
• 37:11
Speaker 1: I am speechless. My stepmother was my mother because.
• 37:16
Speaker 2: You were yet little and under her roof. Yes, she
• 37:19
Speaker 2: raised you, She helped raise you. These children don't need
• 37:22
Speaker 2: to be raised her daughter maybe who is the younger one.
• 37:29
Speaker 1: I don't care. I think, as you and I both know,
• 37:31
Speaker 1: children are children for life. It's not like they turned
• 37:35
Speaker 1: eighteen and all of a sudden their problems go away.
• 37:37
Speaker 2: I'm not saying he's not their father anymore, just that
• 37:39
Speaker 2: because he got married doesn't make this new wife their mother.
• 37:44
Speaker 2: And as far as the words, I think they're beautiful.
• 37:48
Speaker 2: Care you, John, you should have called me. I could
• 37:51
  Speaker 2: have been there.
• 37:53
Speaker 1: He says, I'm trying to be a good father to her,
• 37:56
Speaker 1: just like one of my own. You know, I hope
• 38:00
Speaker 1: he was a great father to his own children. I mean,
• 38:02
  Speaker 1: I don't know. I wasn't there. I think it's sweet,
• 38:05
Speaker 1: But you know me, I'm not going to listen to
• 38:07
Speaker 1: the words as much as I'm going to look at
• 38:09
Speaker 1: his actions. So John, I'm going to be watching John.
• 38:13
Speaker 1: I'm gonna be watching John, all right. Moving along, go ahead.
• 38:17
Speaker 1: Who we got next?
• 38:18
Speaker 2: Here? Next we have Brian Austin Green reflects on extremely
• 38:23
Speaker 2: tumultuous split from x Vanessa Marcel, but he hints at
• 38:29
Speaker 2: where they stand. Now.
• 38:31
Speaker 1: Okay, I'm just gonna say to you, Susan, you need
• 38:34
Speaker 1: a then diagram to understand this.
• 38:36
Speaker 2: Because we got Megan Fox.
• 38:38
Speaker 1: He had Megan Fox and he has young kids with her,
• 38:41
Speaker 1: but prior to that he was engaged to Vanessa. He's
• 38:46
Speaker 1: got a twenty three year old with her. They don't
• 38:49
Speaker 1: get along so well. Twenty three years later, they're still
• 38:54
Speaker 1: not getting along. Now it just let's add a little
• 38:56
Speaker 1: more oil to the vinegar. Now he is in Gauge
• 39:00
Speaker 1: to a lovely woman named Shawna Shanna rgis Urgis. So
• 39:08
Speaker 1: now he's engaged. He's he's apparently gets along really well
• 39:12
Speaker 1: with Megan, knows how to parent.
• 39:14
Speaker 2: Everybody's doing good for the ones.
• 39:17
Speaker 1: I'm like, what is the deal you You you have
• 39:21
Speaker 1: this son with this woman. This kid is like, he's
• 39:25
Speaker 1: not a kid. He's twenty three, twenty two, twenty three
• 39:27
Speaker 1: years old. You cannot co parent that child well with
• 39:33
Speaker 1: this woman, and yet you can you can co parent
• 39:39
Speaker 1: with Megan Fox the next young younger children. What is
• 39:44
Speaker 1: the deal? He says, you know, the transition from excess
• 39:49
Speaker 1: to successful co parenting. I'm trying to figure out why
• 39:54
Speaker 1: after having two kids with Megan Fox, he cannot figure
• 39:58
Speaker 1: out that number one and the oldest one. Maybe he
• 40:02
Speaker 1: should take some lessons and go back and see if
• 40:04
Speaker 1: he can repair that relationship.
• 40:07
Speaker 2: Here's how well him and Megan. They get along, they're fine,
• 40:11
Speaker 2: and they co parent. They stay out of each other's way, right.
• 40:15
Speaker 1: Yeah, but they are three kids together, so they're.
• 40:19
Speaker 2: Past eleven and nine, and he realized early on people
• 40:23
Speaker 2: separate for our reason. We're not all of a sudden
• 40:27
Speaker 2: going to be just great friends. As they co parent,
• 40:31
Speaker 2: we stop being together because we didn't get along as
• 40:34
Speaker 2: well as we did when we first got together. So
• 40:38
Speaker 2: let's take that expectation out of it and just resign
• 40:42
Speaker 2: to the fact that I only care about the health
• 40:45
Speaker 2: and wellness of my kids. So it sounds like, you know,
• 40:48
Speaker 2: everybody's thinking, oh, they're great, they're great. He's not that great.
• 40:51
Speaker 2: He's doing it. He respects it, but stay the buck
• 40:54
  Speaker 2: away from me.
• 40:55
  Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't think I feel sorry that.
• 41:00
Speaker 1: I get it. He never married Vanessa. I get it.
• 41:04
Speaker 1: They had this kid together, but you know what, the
• 41:07
Speaker 1: kid deserves better. I'm sorry. You know, the you'rero is
• 41:10
Speaker 1: the one saying marriage piece of paper. They had a
• 41:14
Speaker 1: kid together. You know, it's sad. It's sad that he
• 41:18
Speaker 1: could not figure out how to parent with her, and
• 41:21
Speaker 1: now being engaged again, I sure hoped hell he figures
• 41:25
Speaker 1: it out, because I'm guessing there's going to be more
• 41:28
Speaker 1: kids coming down the pike, just as a wild guests.
• 41:32
Speaker 2: How about him? Saying, and I could it was a
• 41:34
Speaker 2: very tumultious separation because you have this thing in your
• 41:38
Speaker 2: head of how you want to win.
• 41:40
Speaker 1: Yeah, well, you know what if that's your parenting a
• 41:43
Speaker 1: child is about winning, that's another problem there. I don't know.
• 41:46
Speaker 1: I have to say to you.
• 41:48
Speaker 2: The smarter one of the two, you want to be
• 41:50
  Speaker 2: acknowledged for that?
• 41:52
Speaker 1: WHOA I want to ask you, Susan, what do you
• 42:06
Speaker 1: think about a couple, a grown couple. We're not talking
• 42:09
Speaker 1: twenty year olds. There a grown couple who cannot get
• 42:14
Speaker 1: be on good terms, who cannot get along so many
• 42:18
  Speaker 1: years later. I think there's a problem.
• 42:21
Speaker 2: There have to be something so detrimental that you can't
• 42:25
Speaker 2: forgive or move on. I think it's ridiculous. I think
• 42:29
Speaker 2: you have to respect each other because you're both parents
• 42:33
Speaker 2: of the your family. Yeah, you know what, be well,
• 42:36
Speaker 2: if I just wish the next person, well maybe not immediately,
• 42:40
Speaker 2: it takes time, but you have to have relationships with
• 42:46
Speaker 2: your children, and children were with the expouse, so there
• 42:50
Speaker 2: has to be some kind of a relationship there. If
• 42:53
Speaker 2: there's a crisis, you're gonna call the spouse.
• 42:56
Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, Well you're going to call somebody the spouse,
• 42:59
Speaker 1: the fiance you're gonna call somebody.
• 43:01
Speaker 2: I run into people all the time that dread the
• 43:04
Speaker 2: people that are getting married that I'll interview with and say,
• 43:08
Speaker 2: I don't know what I'm gonna do with my parents.
• 43:10
Speaker 2: My dad's bringing his girlfriend and my mom doesn't have
• 43:13
Speaker 2: and it's like they can't even be in the same
• 43:16
  Speaker 2: room together. I can't comprehend.
• 43:18
Speaker 1: My can I just tell you my parents, my real
• 43:22
Speaker 1: mother and my father, are like that. When I got married,
• 43:26
Speaker 1: they didn't sit at the same table, they didn't talk.
• 43:29
Speaker 1: I told you War of the Roses. Here's here's what
• 43:33
Speaker 1: I would say. He is now engaged to another woman.
• 43:38
Speaker 1: You know, Meghan is uh, Megan, Meghan's long gone. I
• 43:42
Speaker 1: mean they co parent well, the two children they have.
• 43:45
Speaker 1: I think that at this point Brian ought to just
• 43:50
Speaker 1: figure out how he can have a great relationship with
• 43:54
  Speaker 1: his son in.
• 43:55
Speaker 2: It all, just get that well.
• 43:56
  Speaker 1: I just think I think it's too bad. I think
• 43:59
Speaker 1: he missed the I guess, is what I'm saying. I
• 44:01
Speaker 1: wish he could have co parented well with the child's
• 44:05
Speaker 1: mom with Vanessa, but he couldn't do it. And I
• 44:08
  Speaker 1: think it's honestly, I think it's sad. My parents didn't
• 44:11
Speaker 1: co parent well, and I feel like it's really sad.
• 44:14
Speaker 1: But you know what's more sad is our next headline,
• 44:18
Speaker 1: which is Tory spelling and Dean McDermot staggering seven figure
• 44:26
Speaker 1: tax step revealed in the divorce settlement.
• 44:30
Speaker 2: Hey, oh so much money? Oh good? Over one point
• 44:36
Speaker 2: seven million in unpaid federal and state taxes. I mean one,
• 44:43
Speaker 2: they are one point two million into the ire I know.
• 44:48
Speaker 2: And they also own more than five hundred thousand and
• 44:52
Speaker 2: unpaid taxes to the California.
• 44:54
Speaker 1: Franch Okay, wait, wait, I love the fact that I
• 45:00
Speaker 1: feel bad. How did that happen?
• 45:03
  Speaker 2: Poor?
• 45:03
Speaker 1: Debt includes the Beverly Hills nine O two one zero
• 45:08
Speaker 1: alump ohing two hundred eighty eight thousand to a private individual,
• 45:13
Speaker 1: sixty nine thousand to another individual, over ten thousand for
• 45:18
  Speaker 1: medical expenses.
• 45:21
Speaker 2: Uninsured, oh my god, two thousand from a student loan,
• 45:26
Speaker 2: and twenty thousand in his own uninsuredble Okay, talk about
• 45:30
Speaker 2: debt and divorce. We're losing a spouse and money.
• 45:35
Speaker 1: Wait, they have five kids together, can you imagine? Wait?
• 45:41
Speaker 2: I want to know how this happened. How do you
• 45:44
Speaker 2: get so far behind? You make deals with the irs. Okay,
• 45:48
Speaker 2: well students the first knut game. Okay, take this and
• 45:51
Speaker 2: this out of my thing every month. I mean, come on,
• 45:54
Speaker 2: this is ridiculous, Tori, What were you thinking.
• 46:01
Speaker 1: So Aaron? I mean, I don't know. The rumor has
• 46:04
Speaker 1: it that Aaron her father did not leave her a
• 46:10
Speaker 1: lot of money, so you know, the poor thing had
• 46:12
Speaker 1: to earn her own income. Was so, you know, poor her.
• 46:17
Speaker 1: But I actually met her once. She's a lovely woman.
• 46:20
Speaker 1: So I you know, I'm just saying I gotta say,
• 46:25
Speaker 1: I think, Well, it happens because you spend you don't
• 46:30
  Speaker 1: pay your bills.
• 46:32
Speaker 2: What are their agents that he still owes for college? Well,
• 46:36
Speaker 2: would you just ignore it? You thought it was going
• 46:38
  Speaker 2: to go away.
• 46:40
Speaker 1: You forget to put susan It could happen to anybody.
• 46:43
Speaker 1: You forget to put a stamp on the envelope. Loans.
• 46:47
Speaker 2: Yeah, these students loans. So these two have both already
• 46:52
Speaker 2: been married. I think they figured it out the first time. No, no, no,
• 46:56
Speaker 2: when you're getting remarried, when do you have that financial.
• 47:00
Speaker 1: Okay, first of all, just because they've each been married
• 47:04
Speaker 1: a couple of times does not mean that they have
• 47:07
Speaker 1: the sense, the desire, the ethics, whatever it is to
• 47:12
Speaker 1: pay their bills, their student loans, the irs. That has
• 47:16
  Speaker 1: nothing to do.
• 47:17
Speaker 2: And right there, just pause, Say you're getting married, you
• 47:21
Speaker 2: don't want to know?
• 47:22
Speaker 1: Do we start with me dating? Could we start with
• 47:24
  Speaker 1: me dating.
• 47:25
Speaker 2: That you're dating first? You love him, you're going to
• 47:27
Speaker 2: marry him. You're not going to have a conversation if
• 47:29
Speaker 2: he's in debt or not.
• 47:30
Speaker 1: Okay, let's let's okay. Now I'm gonna be serious. We
• 47:35
Speaker 1: are both in I Do Part two. We're both in
• 47:38
Speaker 1: our second stage, just looking for love, our second and
• 47:42
Speaker 1: hopefully final deal at love. Here, I can tell you honestly,
• 47:47
Speaker 1: and you know I've taken a lot of flak for it.
• 47:50
Speaker 1: I will not date men who don't have a secure income,
• 47:56
Speaker 1: a retirement, a you know, own a home. If you
• 48:02
Speaker 1: if if one has not discussed finances with their partner to.
• 48:08
Speaker 2: The marriage or once you met, you're going to marry,
• 48:11
Speaker 2: are you You're serious? Right to have that conversation, That's
• 48:15
  Speaker 2: what I'm saying.
• 48:16
Speaker 1: But but long before marriage, Susan.
• 48:19
Speaker 2: When when you're deciding that you're talking about.
• 48:22
Speaker 1: No, no, no, When I'm when I first go out with
• 48:24
Speaker 1: a guy, literally by the second or third date because.
• 48:29
Speaker 2: You asked ten million questions for you, You're not the norm. Okay,
• 48:33
Speaker 2: let's just say most women won't ask certain questions until
• 48:38
Speaker 2: well into it. No, and by the second third date,
• 48:42
Speaker 2: you could tell what Yes.
• 48:44
Speaker 1: No, I'm saying to you on the second or third date,
• 48:47
Speaker 1: I'm talking to somebody about where they live, where, if
• 48:50
Speaker 1: they traveled, what do they do? What if I'm saying
• 48:54
Speaker 1: by the third day, Susan, when do you ask six
• 48:56
Speaker 1: years into the marriage? Yeah?
• 48:57
Speaker 2: I try to just try to figure it out on
• 48:59
Speaker 2: my own, and I will say, I will say how
• 49:04
Speaker 2: much debt are you in? You know, when conversation comes,
• 49:07
Speaker 2: do you have a big debt?
• 49:09
  Speaker 1: Do you? Oh?
• 49:10
Speaker 2: Do you do you own?
• 49:11
Speaker 1: Okay? Wait, no, I'm going to break this down. When
• 49:14
Speaker 1: you're dating, do you ask do you ask someone? Do
• 49:19
Speaker 1: you ask the guy you're dating do you own your home?
• 49:21
Speaker 1: I do? Do you? Yes?
• 49:23
Speaker 2: Is this your house?
• 49:24
Speaker 1: Yeah? Do you ask if he owned it or has
• 49:27
  Speaker 1: a mortgage? I do? Yeah?
• 49:29
Speaker 2: I could ask that. I have asked that how many
• 49:32
Speaker 2: years left on your mortgage? Is the way I would
• 49:36
  Speaker 2: I asked.
• 49:36
  Speaker 1: Okay, do you ask a man? I mean I don't
• 49:39
Speaker 1: have to see their four oh one k but if
• 49:42
Speaker 1: I see the car the guide drives, I ask him
• 49:45
  Speaker 1: where he big?
• 49:46
Speaker 2: You have your eyes of him. But we can't assume anything.
• 49:50
Speaker 2: For all we know they're debt free or quite the opposite.
• 49:53
Speaker 2: They're a trillion dollars in debt. How do you know
• 49:56
  Speaker 2: without a call?
• 49:57
  Speaker 1: Well, I can assure you if a guy's a trillion
• 49:59
Speaker 1: dollars in debt, I'm out the door so fast it
• 50:01
Speaker 1: feels like a nor'easter blew through the room.
• 50:04
Speaker 2: I was never comfortable bringing it up to say.
• 50:06
Speaker 1: Would you divorce someone if they were in debt?
• 50:11
Speaker 2: Because if you're with somebody, you're married to them.
• 50:16
Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no. Listen, if you're there's dating, okay,
• 50:21
Speaker 1: So when you're okay, when you're there's two things here.
• 50:25
Speaker 1: When you're dating and you think about getting married, then
• 50:29
Speaker 1: it's like, are we going to split the mortgage? Who's
• 50:31
Speaker 1: pending the electricity? Who's paying? Okay? So you have those conversations,
• 50:37
Speaker 1: right at least, I do, okay.
• 50:40
Speaker 2: How are we going to do?
• 50:41
Speaker 1: How are we going to how are we going to
• 50:42
Speaker 1: do our finances? Now let's jump ahead and you're you're
• 50:46
Speaker 1: Tory spelling, and you find out that you know your
• 50:49
Speaker 1: husband forgot to put a stamp on the envelope to
• 50:52
  Speaker 1: the I R S and didn't pay his bills to
• 50:54
Speaker 1: the University of Watchahouchi and now owns sixty nine thou dos,
• 51:00
Speaker 1: At what point are you going to walk away when
• 51:02
Speaker 1: you find out your guy's got a you know, he
• 51:05
Speaker 1: bets on pony number nine and he's lost his fortune.
• 51:09
Speaker 2: Are we saying that he's the one with all the debt.
• 51:13
Speaker 1: Or okay, she forgot to lick the stamp. I'm saying,
• 51:18
Speaker 1: when when do you make the decision to get out?
• 51:23
Speaker 1: Do you ever do that?
• 51:24
  Speaker 2: Because it's a financial thing and it's a marriage, so
• 51:27
Speaker 2: you got to sit down and decide how we're going
• 51:29
Speaker 2: to do this. It's both of them.
• 51:32
Speaker 1: Wow, I can assure you if you and I are
• 51:35
Speaker 1: so different, because if I were married to a guy,
• 51:40
Speaker 1: my husband was never like this. But if I were
• 51:42
Speaker 1: married to a guy and I found out that he'd
• 51:45
Speaker 1: been evading the irs or he had a betting gambling
• 51:50
Speaker 1: habit and he was in debt.
• 51:52
Speaker 2: That's an easy one. Caat of course, you walk away,
• 51:56
Speaker 2: you're given all big big he's in debt. If you
• 52:00
Speaker 2: find out you didn't know already, that's what I mean
• 52:03
Speaker 2: that conversation. In other words, if he was not telling
• 52:07
  Speaker 2: you the.
• 52:07
Speaker 1: Truth, yeah, I'm out.
• 52:11
Speaker 2: I'm out if you go and get together.
• 52:15
Speaker 1: Okay, So I'm telling you before I get married, if
• 52:18
Speaker 1: should that happen to me again, I'm going to see
• 52:21
Speaker 1: this guy's credit report. I'm going to see his bank accounts.
• 52:25
Speaker 1: There's going to be prenups. I am never ever go
• 52:30
Speaker 1: at our age, going to walk into a relationship to
• 52:35
  Speaker 1: pay somebody's debt.
• 52:36
Speaker 2: And it says that either one of them paid two
• 52:41
Speaker 2: of their debts, like nobody's doing anything here.
• 52:44
Speaker 1: Yeah, well, let me be clear. It's unless I, you know,
• 52:48
Speaker 1: take flak from people commenting when I say he, it
• 52:51
Speaker 1: could easily be she. You know, in this case, Torri
