- 0:02Speaker 1: This is a Bramble Jam podcast.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Welcome to Girls Gone Hallmark Homework review podcast. I'm Megan,
- 0:25Speaker 2: a longtime Hallmark movie fan.
- 0:27Speaker 3: I'm Wendy. I'm a former Hallmark hater.
- 0:30Speaker 2: It's time for our monthly Hallmark Headlines episode, where we
- 0:33Speaker 2: dive into all of the news from the network and
- 0:37Speaker 2: network adjacent. This month, we are talking a major announcement
- 0:42Speaker 2: for the Hallmark Christmas Experience, a nineties throwback reunion, the
- 0:47Speaker 2: Christmas in July schedule, and a new book adaptation coming
- 0:50Speaker 2: to Hallmark, and.
- 0:51Speaker 1: More and more, and stay tuned.
- 0:58Speaker 2: The details for the Hallmark Christmas Experience just dropped yesterday.
- 1:04Speaker 3: This is the Kansas City event.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Now, I want to talk about a few things about
- 1:09Speaker 2: this event. First of all, it's running November twenty eight
- 1:11Speaker 2: through December twenty First, it is four weekends, just like
- 1:14Speaker 2: they did last time. A lot of things are very similar.
- 1:16Speaker 2: The location is the same, they have the same vibe.
- 1:20Speaker 2: They also dropped all the stars who are attending by weekend.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Curious to see how that adjusts as people's filming schedules
- 1:30Speaker 2: and other things come into play. Were there any surprises
- 1:33Speaker 2: for you in terms of stars that were announced?
- 1:35Speaker 3: A couple. I saw Tyler's their two weekends. Yeah, I
- 1:41Speaker 3: was kind of surprised that the cast of the Way
- 1:44Speaker 3: Home was not there, considering they were there last year.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Yes, that's a especially because there's like a full when
- 1:50Speaker 2: calls the Heart weekend and there were a lot of
- 1:54Speaker 2: missing memes like Ashley Williams isn't there, Alieany's not there.
- 1:59Speaker 3: She was like a hope last year. I know.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Now, do you think that means that perhaps they're on
- 2:04Speaker 2: the cruise?
- 2:05Speaker 3: Oh well, I mean if we could get real sleuthy,
- 2:09Speaker 3: if we wanted to and try to like look at, Okay,
- 2:12Speaker 3: who is a Christmas con because that conflicts with the
- 2:16Speaker 3: Kansas City Yeah right, yes, you can work those things out,
- 2:20Speaker 3: and then you can look at, well, who's going to
- 2:22Speaker 3: be on the cruise, which is not totally indicative because
- 2:25Speaker 3: last year Tyler was on the cruise, but then he
- 2:29Speaker 3: was also at the Kansas City events. Yeah, several times.
- 2:35Speaker 2: So but then I was wondering, you know, last year,
- 2:37Speaker 2: some of them were so burnt out by the end
- 2:39Speaker 2: because like, for example, Ashley, she did the cruise and
- 2:42Speaker 2: she did Weekend four of Kansas City, So maybe some
- 2:46Speaker 2: of them like hit a wall and they were like,
- 2:47Speaker 2: we can only do so much. We cannot do all
- 2:49Speaker 2: of these events. I could absolutely see her being on
- 2:52Speaker 2: the cruise. Could you see the way home being on
- 2:55Speaker 2: the cruise?
- 2:56Speaker 3: I feel like, no, not really, because I don't feel
- 2:59Speaker 3: like they're no shade to them. They're not as like
- 3:04Speaker 3: entertaining as Yeah.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree, I love them. I'd be thrilled to
- 3:08Speaker 2: meet them.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Oh, same totally.
- 3:12Speaker 2: There are some notable differences in the ticketing experience.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Tell me about it.
- 3:18Speaker 2: So, just like last year, they have two ticket packages,
- 3:21Speaker 2: the b Merry Package, which is two hundred and fifty
- 3:23Speaker 2: nine per person, and the Fine Magic Package, which is
- 3:26Speaker 2: six ninety nine per person.
- 3:27Speaker 1: These are right on par with their prices for last year.
- 3:31Speaker 2: However, last year, the Fine Magic Package, the VIP package
- 3:36Speaker 2: included everything. You got to go to every single panel,
- 3:40Speaker 2: you had access to all of the Make and Create
- 3:45Speaker 2: crafting events, you had access to the pop up bar,
- 3:49Speaker 2: you had all of this access. That is not the
- 3:51Speaker 2: case this year. So when it comes to all of
- 3:55Speaker 2: the on stage events, the two packages both include two shows,
- 4:02Speaker 2: A Look behind the Lens show which is like a
- 4:03Speaker 2: Stars on stage and a Reindeer games, everything else, all
- 4:09Speaker 2: of the other panels are add ons.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Let me stop you what kind of what kind of
- 4:17Speaker 3: additional panels?
- 4:18Speaker 2: Sob each weekend has five stars on stage events and
- 4:22Speaker 2: they're different. So, for example, the first weekend is Hallmark Hunks,
- 4:25Speaker 2: Ask Me Anything, the Hallmark Dating Game, a Hallmark improv show,
- 4:30Speaker 2: how we make the movies, which it says stars, executives,
- 4:32Speaker 2: behind the scenes, creative. So I could see that being
- 4:34Speaker 2: like writers, directors, producers, all of those involved. They have
- 4:38Speaker 2: it named names, and then they have one called Hallmark
- 4:41Speaker 2: Hometown Histories. Hallmark stars share their stories of unique hometowns.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Future weekends have something like Hallmark Murder Mystery Live. They
- 4:48Speaker 2: have a Hallmarked Dating Game, they have an All About
- 4:51Speaker 2: the Wardrobe.
- 4:52Speaker 1: So there are five.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Panels each weekend, and they cost ninety nine dollars.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Each in addition to yours six hundred and ninety nine
- 5:01Speaker 3: dollars ticket if you buy the top one.
- 5:04Speaker 2: In addition, yes, and so if you go for the
- 5:06Speaker 2: weekend and you want to go to all five of those,
- 5:11Speaker 2: man's an additional five hundred dollars. I'm guessing nobody's gonna
- 5:14Speaker 2: want to go to all five, because that's.
- 5:18Speaker 3: I think there are people who want to go to
- 5:20Speaker 3: all five. Oh, sure they have the ability to you like,
- 5:23Speaker 3: that's what for me? Yes, the desire is there, but
- 5:26Speaker 3: I would I think, I don't know. I have mixed emotions.
- 5:28Speaker 3: On one hand, this opens it up to people who
- 5:31Speaker 3: maybe just want to come in for the day and
- 5:32Speaker 3: go to one panel and if they're local enough to
- 5:34Speaker 3: drive in and they can do the market and they
- 5:36Speaker 3: can kind of do all of that. But on the
- 5:39Speaker 3: other hand, the value for the VIP ticket is significantly
- 5:42Speaker 3: diminished this year over last year. I here's my honest opinion.
- 5:46Speaker 3: I think that's way too expensive.
- 5:49Speaker 2: It's a lot of money, especially during the holidays.
- 5:54Speaker 3: It's a lot of money. It's a lot of money.
- 5:57Speaker 3: And luckily we got to go last year. We paid
- 6:00Speaker 3: our own way. However, with that said, we did have
- 6:03Speaker 3: a press pass, so we got to go to see
- 6:06Speaker 3: a couple of things that we wouldn't have had access
- 6:09Speaker 3: to correct otherwise.
- 6:11Speaker 1: But that's a.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Lot of money.
- 6:13Speaker 1: That's a lot of money.
- 6:16Speaker 3: I'm curious what is your opinion If somebody asked you, Hey, Megan,
- 6:19Speaker 3: would you pay that much money for this event?
- 6:21Speaker 1: What would you say?
- 6:23Speaker 2: The answer is, I don't know. I mean, if I
- 6:25Speaker 2: was so in on Hallmark. Do I think two panels
- 6:29Speaker 2: is enough? Like the Reindeer games and the stars on stage,
- 6:33Speaker 2: that's probably enough. Like you and I didn't go to
- 6:35Speaker 2: every single panel and still felt like we had a
- 6:37Speaker 2: full experience. I mean, do you need to sit through
- 6:40Speaker 2: seven panels? Probably not?
- 6:44Speaker 1: Probably not. I don't know.
- 6:45Speaker 2: I think it could be a fun weekend and I
- 6:47Speaker 2: imagine it will sell well because they have the fandom.
- 6:52Speaker 1: But it's expensive. It's really expensive.
- 6:57Speaker 3: I also think a lot of the questions, maybe from
- 7:02Speaker 3: people who are interested in this eventa is like, what's
- 7:04Speaker 3: the access to the Hallmark stars? Yeah, and based on
- 7:09Speaker 3: our experience, I'm gonna say it's limited.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Very unlimited. It's yeah.
- 7:15Speaker 2: If you want guaranteed access, you need to buy the
- 7:17Speaker 2: Fine Magic package, which includes the photo op, meet and greet.
- 7:21Speaker 2: That's the only guaranteed opportunity. I do think the stars
- 7:25Speaker 2: do a good job of they're out at the Christmas lighting,
- 7:27Speaker 2: they'll stick around and take photos those walking through the lobby,
- 7:30Speaker 2: would you know, stop in snap photos? But that's all
- 7:33Speaker 2: very ketch as catch can. There's no guarantee. That's if
- 7:37Speaker 2: you happen to be in the right place at the
- 7:39Speaker 2: right time.
- 7:39Speaker 1: And you can grab a photo.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Great, But you and I didn't run into anyone anywhere
- 7:46Speaker 2: outside of an event during the course of that weekend.
- 7:49Speaker 2: We did, but we didn't bother him, Lady Webster. He
- 7:52Speaker 2: was like dashing into an elevator.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Yeah, and I wouldn't. We saw him outside the hotel
- 7:58Speaker 3: one time too. Oh that's right, that's right, his dog
- 8:01Speaker 3: with him. I think here's taking the dog doctor believe himself. Yes,
- 8:04Speaker 3: but I wasn't going to be like, hey, you know
- 8:06Speaker 3: what I mean totally because that's not my vibe. But
- 8:09Speaker 3: neither part of me is like I'm glad that they're
- 8:12Speaker 3: doing it again, because I do think it's a fun
- 8:14Speaker 3: event if you were local and it didn't cost you
- 8:17Speaker 3: an arm in a lank to fly there for hotel,
- 8:21Speaker 3: et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
- 8:23Speaker 2: My one suggestion would be, I understand they want that fine.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Magic package to be like the elite.
- 8:29Speaker 2: I just think, as much as all of these panels
- 8:34Speaker 2: are so fun and all of the other events are
- 8:36Speaker 2: so fun, people want the Hallmark Star access and they
- 8:39Speaker 2: get it somewhere like Christmas Con. Yes, you pay individually
- 8:42Speaker 2: for it, but you get it at Roma drama which
- 8:45Speaker 2: doesn't exist and is having issues.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Nevertheless, that's what.
- 8:49Speaker 2: They want, and so finding another way to make those happen.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Selling individual tickets to certain people I think would be
- 8:57Speaker 2: a much more popular option. Well, I think that's what
- 9:03Speaker 2: won mister Christopher Polaha has been doing this last year. Yeah,
- 9:11Speaker 2: if you want a meet and greet with him, like,
- 9:14Speaker 2: he organized his own kind of meetups, which I think
- 9:19Speaker 2: is pretty damn smart, really smart, and now you're not
- 9:22Speaker 2: paying the Hallmark middleman. Yeah, he had several. He had
- 9:24Speaker 2: one in La one in Nashville, several Polaha Chautaqua events,
- 9:30Speaker 2: and people who went said, I think he's really good
- 9:33Speaker 2: at the access and giving people their money's worth and
- 9:36Speaker 2: spending time with them. Do you want to talk about
- 9:41Speaker 2: his next fan event coming up?
- 9:44Speaker 3: Chris Polaha and speaking of Victor Webster are hosting their
- 9:49Speaker 3: own fan cruise And this is not unheard of. Andrew
- 9:55Speaker 3: Walker and was it Chris yep, did this maybe two
- 10:00Speaker 3: years ago as well? This was Oh no, actually it
- 10:04Speaker 3: was in twenty twenty four. It was just at the
- 10:05Speaker 3: beginning of the year, whereas the Hallmark Christmas Cruise was
- 10:08Speaker 3: at the end of twenty twenty four. So cruising with
- 10:13Speaker 3: fans on the Royal Caribbean Cruise January fourth through eight,
- 10:18Speaker 3: leaving from Los Angeles, cruising to Catalina and Encinata a max.
- 10:23Speaker 3: Two hundred guests, So you're not on the whole ship
- 10:25Speaker 3: by yourself. You are two hundred people on an already
- 10:29Speaker 3: existing cruise.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Correct.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Yes, Prices start at one thousand dollars for an interior
- 10:35Speaker 3: room and go up from there. Prices are all inclusive
- 10:39Speaker 3: of the cruise and fan events. I gotta tell you,
- 10:44Speaker 3: because it's literally in our backyard.
- 10:48Speaker 1: It's tempting, right, It's so tempting. It's so tempting.
- 10:53Speaker 2: The one downside for me is the timing. January fourth
- 10:56Speaker 2: is just tough.
- 10:58Speaker 3: It's an another tough time of year. Yes, especially for us.
- 11:03Speaker 3: We have kids who are home from school during that time.
- 11:07Speaker 3: You know, it's post holidays.
- 11:10Speaker 2: It is very tempting. I could be talked into that
- 11:12Speaker 2: more than I could be talked into any of the
- 11:13Speaker 2: other upcoming events.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Oh me too.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Me, and you don't to fly anywhere, Just hop on
- 11:19Speaker 2: over to sam Pedro and climb on board that ship.
- 11:25Speaker 3: And I'm curious, I don't know if they've even released
- 11:28Speaker 3: the details, like what kind of not access are you
- 11:32Speaker 3: getting to these two? But what kind of events will
- 11:35Speaker 3: are they putting on?
- 11:36Speaker 2: Yeah, they definitely haven't released a schedule yet, but I
- 11:41Speaker 2: don't know what they're gonna do, but I'm sure they're
- 11:44Speaker 2: gonna make it a good time.
- 11:45Speaker 1: I'm sure.
- 11:47Speaker 3: I think these are two fun dudes.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:50Speaker 3: I mean, if they're looking for some sort of like hosts,
- 11:52Speaker 3: we're available, available, come.
- 11:56Speaker 1: A knock in.
- 11:58Speaker 2: And now that you are an established cruiser, you know
- 12:01Speaker 2: you can handle it.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Yeah. I kind of think I like cruising.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Yeah, pretty fun, so easy.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Yeah, just don't take that scopolamine anymore.
- 12:10Speaker 1: And man, was I out of my head? Psychosis at Sea?
- 12:14Speaker 3: Yeah, Psychos at Sea the next Lifetime movie. Yeah.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Well, we have two award adjacment announcements coming up next.
- 12:24Speaker 2: First up, The Way Home did win a award at
- 12:28Speaker 2: the Canadian Screen Awards. They were the winner of the
- 12:30Speaker 2: Audience Choice Award, which is the only award voted on
- 12:33Speaker 2: by fans. All of the other Canadian Screen Awards are
- 12:36Speaker 2: voted on by their academy of about four thousand people.
- 12:39Speaker 2: And so this is really meaningful because obviously it speaks
- 12:43Speaker 2: a lot to people's love.
- 12:45Speaker 1: For this show. Does this acknowledgment do you think mean anything?
- 12:49Speaker 1: For season four?
- 12:51Speaker 2: We've been pushing, like God, put season one on Netflix.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Right, drive those viewers. I don't know, what do you think?
- 12:59Speaker 1: I mean?
- 12:59Speaker 3: It's it's nice to see a show get recognized. It's
- 13:03Speaker 3: an audience Choice award. It's similar to like maybe the
- 13:05Speaker 3: People's Choice Award here. Sure, yes, I know there is
- 13:10Speaker 3: some significance, but that I think it mean. I think
- 13:14Speaker 3: it speaks to their ability to activate the fans. Oh yeah.
- 13:19Speaker 2: While critics may not be paying attention to these shows yet,
- 13:21Speaker 2: the fans certainly are. As a reminder, they did hold
- 13:25Speaker 2: a four year consideration Emmy event for The Way Home,
- 13:30Speaker 2: and we recently saw the addition of for Your Consideration
- 13:34Speaker 2: pushes for both Finding Mister Christmas and Holiday Touchdown. Now,
- 13:39Speaker 2: I'm really curious if these Hallmark shows can get Emmy traction.
- 13:43Speaker 2: The landscape is so oversaturated that I think it's very hard.
- 13:48Speaker 2: But I would lose my mind if we saw these
- 13:50Speaker 2: Hallmark shows get Emmy nominations.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Yeah you should just on my face. When you said
- 13:56Speaker 3: Holiday Touchdown, I was like, what, Yeah.
- 13:58Speaker 2: I think honestly that FUNI is likely to get the nominated.
- 14:02Speaker 1: It wasn't that good.
- 14:04Speaker 2: I could see Finding Mister Christmas. I'm getting the reality
- 14:07Speaker 2: show or reality host nomination. I think it would fit
- 14:10Speaker 2: right in.
- 14:13Speaker 3: I loved Finding Mister Christmas. I do think it does
- 14:16Speaker 3: have a space in the reality genre.
- 14:20Speaker 1: In terms of.
- 14:22Speaker 3: Awards, Yeah, absolutely, I think it was great the way Home.
- 14:26Speaker 3: I think also the writing is so spectacular on that show,
- 14:32Speaker 3: and the acting and the directing. I think that could
- 14:36Speaker 3: definitely get an Emmy nomination as well.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Emmy nominations come out July nineteenth, so we shall see.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Ooh what happens there?
- 14:46Speaker 3: This is a Hallmark adjacent news headline, but regially Cook
- 14:50Speaker 3: and Freddie Prince Junior re nite for an upcoming homework
- 14:55Speaker 3: Christmas movie. If you don't know, these two were in
- 14:59Speaker 3: The Origin and All She's All That from? Oh my gosh?
- 15:04Speaker 3: Was it late nineties or early two thousands?
- 15:06Speaker 1: I think the nineties.
- 15:07Speaker 3: They will be co starring in a movie called The
- 15:09Speaker 3: Christmas Affair, which follows superstar sportscasters Natalie and Gabe, who
- 15:16Speaker 3: form an unlikely alliance after their spouses are caught cheating
- 15:20Speaker 3: weeks before Christmas.
- 15:22Speaker 1: This does not sound like a Hallmark movie.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Does this sound like it's ripped from the headlines based
- 15:27Speaker 2: on those two GMA hosts. Oh that's right, that's funny.
- 15:35Speaker 2: And didn't their spouses then have a brief romance as well?
- 15:40Speaker 1: Yes they did. That's weird.
- 15:45Speaker 3: A home Oh wait, this is not a Hallmark movie
- 15:49Speaker 3: because the note says a home for this movie has
- 15:52Speaker 3: not been yet announced.
- 15:53Speaker 2: However, Fox Entertainment Studios producing the show, has produced a
- 15:59Speaker 2: number of Hallmark projects, and it's behind both The Chicken
- 16:01Speaker 2: Sisters and The Way Home, so it is not a
- 16:03Speaker 2: reach to think that this could land on Hallmark, especially
- 16:07Speaker 2: given that Racheli Cook has been a leading Hallmark lady
- 16:10Speaker 2: in the past.
- 16:12Speaker 3: Do you think they would really want this maybe to
- 16:14Speaker 3: be like a theatrical release though No, I don't think
- 16:19Speaker 3: there's an audience for it in a theatrical situation.
- 16:22Speaker 2: But no, I don't think that's I don't think that's
- 16:24Speaker 2: the direction at all. I think it's Hallmark, or it's Prime,
- 16:28Speaker 2: or it's maybe Netflix. Yeah, I'd love to say Freddy
- 16:33Speaker 2: Print's junior over on Hallmark.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Me too. He's all salt and pepper now.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Like, I'm fine, Look he's got to be older than me, right,
- 16:43Speaker 3: I think he's got to be.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Is he How old is Freddy Print?
- 16:47Speaker 3: Maybe one or two years older than me?
- 16:50Speaker 1: He's forty nine.
- 16:52Speaker 3: I think he would be a welcome addition to Homewark.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Totally would love it. I would love it. I would
- 16:58Speaker 3: love it.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Some big news just recently came out about a book
- 17:03Speaker 2: series adaptation coming to Hallmark. The Providence Falls Series will
- 17:09Speaker 2: be hitting Hallmark in a three part I assume it's
- 17:15Speaker 2: a three movie.
- 17:17Speaker 1: No, I don't want to.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Do that anymore.
- 17:20Speaker 2: It's a three parts special event. The Providence Falls series
- 17:24Speaker 2: was written by Jude Devereaux and Tara Sheets. It has
- 17:27Speaker 2: been picked up by Joanna Garcia Swisher's production company. She
- 17:32Speaker 2: has a lifestyle brand called The Happy Place, and she
- 17:36Speaker 2: did expand into a production company. She discovered it while
- 17:40Speaker 2: on location filming. As luck would have it, Is that
- 17:44Speaker 2: the right movie?
- 17:45Speaker 1: Oh yeah? From years ago?
- 17:46Speaker 2: Yes, she became familiar with the books and wanted to
- 17:50Speaker 2: produce it. It stars Evan Roderick, known by Wendy as
- 17:55Speaker 2: Baby Tyler Tyler Hines Ye, also Katie Stevens and Lachlan
- 18:00Speaker 2: quornbi who do we know Katie Stevens from.
- 18:04Speaker 3: I'm So Excited? Katie Stevens is from the bold type.
- 18:07Speaker 3: I'm so thrilled to see her in this.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Me too.
- 18:10Speaker 2: It's set to air August second on the Hallmark Channel
- 18:13Speaker 2: and stream the next day on Hallmark Plus.
- 18:15Speaker 3: It is wait, August second, have they already made this?
- 18:20Speaker 2: It must have this deadline? Article says set to premiere
- 18:24Speaker 2: August second. That is so wild to me that they
- 18:27Speaker 2: have been working on this and then you don't hear
- 18:29Speaker 2: anything about it, and then they're like, oh, it's going
- 18:31Speaker 2: to be on August second. This is a time travel
- 18:35Speaker 2: trilogy into it Set in eighteen forty four Ireland, a
- 18:40Speaker 2: rogue and a thief falls in love with the woman
- 18:43Speaker 2: promised to another man. Their plan to escape to America fails,
- 18:46Speaker 2: and their forbidden love sets off events that ripple through time.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Now that that line ripple through time made me think,
- 18:52Speaker 2: what happened to Ripple?
- 18:54Speaker 3: Where the frick is Ripple?
- 18:56Speaker 2: And I googled it yesterday. I got no information. Where's Ripple?
- 18:59Speaker 1: Y'all?
- 19:00Speaker 2: It's been done, done and then done. That's a show
- 19:02Speaker 2: that was set to come to Hallmark Plus. I think
- 19:04Speaker 2: it's safe to say it's not coming to Hallmark Plus.
- 19:07Speaker 2: So I understand that they need to find a home
- 19:10Speaker 2: for it on the network, but part of me wonders
- 19:12Speaker 2: if it's going to be twenty twenty six before they
- 19:14Speaker 2: drop it, given the packed schedule that they've got to have.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I wonder if that's going to come along the
- 19:20Speaker 3: lines of like When The Way Home and When Calls
- 19:23Speaker 3: the Heart and all that kind of comes out early
- 19:27Speaker 3: in the year when they back to back to back
- 19:30Speaker 3: weekends on that kind of stuff.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe are we going to get The Way Home
- 19:36Speaker 2: and When Calls the Heart both airing at the same
- 19:39Speaker 2: time again next year?
- 19:40Speaker 1: Lots of questions.
- 19:41Speaker 3: I hope they don't do that, do you, just because
- 19:45Speaker 3: I don't. I didn't love their Friday Night. I think
- 19:48Speaker 3: The Way Home? Is it suited for us Sunday Night?
- 19:51Speaker 1: For sure?
- 19:51Speaker 2: I totally agree with you there, totally agree with you there.
- 19:56Speaker 3: Hallmark recently announced their Christmas in July schedule, and I
- 20:01Speaker 3: gotta say, ball humbug.
- 20:05Speaker 2: No.
- 20:07Speaker 3: So here's what is going to happen Sundays. They are
- 20:11Speaker 3: going to be releasing two episodes of Holidays. The Holidays
- 20:14Speaker 3: was an eight episode series mini series that aired on
- 20:18Speaker 3: Hallmark Plus last year. It's big family drama and a
- 20:24Speaker 3: little bit of my jinks anyway, back to back episodes
- 20:29Speaker 3: on Sundays Mondays. Starting July seventh, Hallmark's Christmas at C
- 20:36Speaker 3: docu series will premiere in four parts. This is the
- 20:42Speaker 3: film crew that they had on sale number two of
- 20:46Speaker 3: the Hallmark Christmas Cruise last year. We were not on
- 20:49Speaker 3: that sale. I am curious to watch this. Are you
- 20:53Speaker 3: curious to watch this?
- 20:54Speaker 1: I am curious to watch this.
- 20:56Speaker 2: I do wonder if we need four parts. Four parts
- 21:00Speaker 2: feels excessive.
- 21:02Speaker 1: I'm curious are these half hour shows? Are these hour shows?
- 21:06Speaker 1: The cruise was four days? Was it not? Yes?
- 21:10Speaker 3: What I'm curious to see is the difference between the
- 21:14Speaker 3: two cruises, because Cruise number one was kind of a
- 21:19Speaker 3: mess in.
- 21:20Speaker 2: A way a test balloon correct.
- 21:23Speaker 3: And so I want to see how they righted the ship.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Well, it doesn't really matter because they're only going to
- 21:29Speaker 2: present the story that they want to present, so.
- 21:31Speaker 1: We're not you know there.
- 21:33Speaker 2: I do think that they did make some adjustments from
- 21:35Speaker 2: Cruise number one to Cruise number two based on some feedback.
- 21:37Speaker 2: But also this is a Homewark produced reality series, so
- 21:42Speaker 2: we are going to see what they want us to see.
- 21:43Speaker 2: This is not like you and I vlogging the entire week,
- 21:47Speaker 2: the highs and lows.
- 21:49Speaker 3: What is also funny too, is that they're gonna put
- 21:52Speaker 3: this docuseries out and anybody who was like maybe on
- 21:56Speaker 3: the fence about going to the cruise, well you're still
- 21:58Speaker 3: sol because there are no tickets available for this upcoming
- 22:03Speaker 3: cruise this year. Yeah right, what I mean? So, I'm like,
- 22:06Speaker 3: what's the point of the docuseries? What's the end game here?
- 22:10Speaker 1: You feel like it should be to cell tickets.
- 22:11Speaker 2: I just think it's I think it was originally because
- 22:14Speaker 2: they were putting reality programming on homar Plus, and then
- 22:17Speaker 2: now that they're not doing that, they're like, well we
- 22:18Speaker 2: made it, I might as well drop it. I just
- 22:21Speaker 2: think they're leaning into reality, and I think this was
- 22:24Speaker 2: a fairly easy way to produce four episodes of television.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Cheaply, yeah, affordably.
- 22:32Speaker 2: The talent was already there, they just needed a production team.
- 22:35Speaker 2: I'm not suggesting that there wasn't a lot of work
- 22:36Speaker 2: that went into it, but they weren't casting a movie,
- 22:39Speaker 2: they weren't scouting sets.
- 22:41Speaker 1: They were there. They just needed to capture the content.
- 22:44Speaker 2: So I know, I saw during the cruise that the
- 22:49Speaker 2: stars were doing a lot more interactive things like they
- 22:52Speaker 2: caught them like stuffing stockings on.
- 22:56Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that was not happening in our career.
- 22:59Speaker 2: No, no, no, So a lot of things were done for
- 23:02Speaker 2: the camera, produced for the camera.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Reality TV is highly produced.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Yes, ma'am, Yes, ma'am.
- 23:09Speaker 3: Yeah. Finally, there are no new movies on Hallmark. They
- 23:15Speaker 3: will be re airing Unwrapping Christmas, which is a four
- 23:19Speaker 3: part movie collection which previously aired on Hallmark. Plus those
- 23:24Speaker 3: will air on Saturday nights. We will not be reviewing them.
- 23:30Speaker 2: No. You know, my husband has been in a Hallmark
- 23:33Speaker 2: movie kick lately and he did watch all four on Lately. Yeah,
- 23:36Speaker 2: but he like goes in phases. He's been watching a lot.
- 23:39Speaker 2: He did watch all four Unwrapping Christmas movies. I would
- 23:42Speaker 2: say I saw like seventy five eighty percent of them.
- 23:46Speaker 2: I do not want to do four reviews of those.
- 23:47Speaker 2: I'm so sorry. I'm surprised we didn't get Finding Mister Christmas.
- 23:51Speaker 2: I know it was pure speculation, but they said that
- 23:54Speaker 2: Finding Mister Christmas Season one and Missiletoe Murders Season one
- 23:58Speaker 2: will air on Hallmark. I assume in advance of season
- 24:03Speaker 2: two coming out sometime during the countdown to Christmas. Season
- 24:06Speaker 2: so we're running out of time, folks.
- 24:08Speaker 3: Maybe in October they can't put it under the theme
- 24:11Speaker 3: of Christmas in July, maybe they'll, you know, in October
- 24:15Speaker 3: when they switch over to Yes Countdown to Christmas. Sure,
- 24:20Speaker 3: maybe one of those days will be slated, maybe a
- 24:24Speaker 3: Friday or a Sunday.
- 24:27Speaker 2: Maybe, But that's too late because they have to those seasons.
- 24:31Speaker 2: They need to run a full season. They don't have
- 24:33Speaker 2: enough time to I.
- 24:35Speaker 3: Don't know what they're doing over there.
- 24:37Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 24:38Speaker 2: It stresses me out. I would like to see those
- 24:39Speaker 2: shows drop on Hallmark. I'm very worried about the crush
- 24:43Speaker 2: of content they're planning to put out during the Countdown
- 24:45Speaker 2: to Christmas season.
- 24:47Speaker 3: I actually, you know, my hot take is I don't
- 24:49Speaker 3: think they have the movie slate that they it's interesting.
- 24:53Speaker 2: So you think I could billing it out with some
- 24:55Speaker 2: of these series, I do.
- 24:58Speaker 1: I don't actually hate that.
- 25:00Speaker 3: I don't hate it either from a review standpoint, as
- 25:02Speaker 3: a fan of Hallmark and a viewer who has come
- 25:05Speaker 3: to expect three movies a weekend is going to be
- 25:09Speaker 3: sorely disappointed.
- 25:11Speaker 2: Well, I understand what you're saying. But then if they're like, well,
- 25:13Speaker 2: Sundays are going to be for Missiletone murders, and Thursdays
- 25:16Speaker 2: are going to be for finding Mister Christmas. And now
- 25:17Speaker 2: all of a sudden, you have four day a week
- 25:20Speaker 2: of Hallmark content dropping.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Yeah, but if a percentage of those people have already
- 25:28Speaker 3: seen that content.
- 25:30Speaker 2: I'm talking about the new stuff, those season.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Two new stuff.
- 25:33Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yea ye, yeah yeah yeah.
- 25:36Speaker 2: And there's there's the Christmas series that's coming, the Twelve
- 25:41Speaker 2: Dates of Christmas starring May Whitman. I'm reading that book
- 25:44Speaker 2: right now. There's some other stuff coming.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Well, we'll see, we shall see. But that's Christmas in July.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Kind of underwhelming, honestly, particularly given that it's so many
- 25:57Speaker 2: re airs. We will be produced dropping our encore episodes
- 26:01Speaker 2: of Holidays. If you miss those and you're watching that
- 26:03Speaker 2: series in this run.
- 26:05Speaker 3: I gotta tell you here's another hot take. I'm really
- 26:07Speaker 3: glad they're not doing now Holidays too. Yeah.
- 26:10Speaker 1: I don't.
- 26:10Speaker 2: I agree, And I'm not sure I needed it, Like
- 26:13Speaker 2: they wrapped.
- 26:13Speaker 1: All those stories up.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, unless we get a Holidays movie.
- 26:18Speaker 1: No, I'm not interested in movie. There.
- 26:22Speaker 2: All right, we have some rapid fire quick news to
- 26:24Speaker 2: run through. Some announcements. Thanks to Hallmark Enthusiast twenty four
- 26:28Speaker 2: to seven on Instagram, we learn that a Christmas will
- 26:31Speaker 2: be directed by Jeff Beasley. The Snow Must Go On
- 26:34Speaker 2: is in production. This movie is about a musical theater
- 26:37Speaker 2: want to be whose career is barely hanging on on
- 26:40Speaker 2: life support, who gets persuaded into running his niece's Christmas show.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Is it gonna be Jordan Litz?
- 26:47Speaker 3: Oh my god, what I'd love it If it's Jordan Ltz.
- 26:50Speaker 3: If you guys don't know who we're talking about, best
- 26:52Speaker 3: jaw line and the bizz star in.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Yeah, what movie?
- 26:57Speaker 3: Was it called Carol for Two?
- 27:01Speaker 1: It was called Carol for two?
- 27:03Speaker 3: Hey, put me on Jeopardy baby.
- 27:08Speaker 2: This is the second Jeff Beasley movie that we know
- 27:11Speaker 2: of this holiday season, as according to Hallmark Enthusiast twenty
- 27:15Speaker 2: four to seven, he just wrapped a Magical New York Christmas.
- 27:19Speaker 2: You know we love his movies, so that's very exciting.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Next up, Robert Buckley, not Junior Will Starr in and
- 27:25Speaker 2: produced Merry Christmas Ted Cooper, where a weatherman returns to
- 27:28Speaker 2: his hometown for the holidays and reconnects with his high
- 27:31Speaker 2: school crush. Finally, Nickie Delouche and Warren Christy are starring
- 27:36Speaker 2: in a fall football movie called Turf, directed by McLean
- 27:39Speaker 2: Nelson of haul Out the Hall of Fame. It was
- 27:42Speaker 2: filmed in Utah.
- 27:45Speaker 3: You know what is so interesting? Aren't you seeing the
- 27:48Speaker 3: same directors working on multiple movies this holiday season?
- 27:54Speaker 1: Yes? But we also yes, yes, but we don't have
- 27:56Speaker 1: a ton of information.
- 27:58Speaker 3: I know, and Nick the loogen warrants Christie again, they
- 28:02Speaker 3: were just in.
- 28:02Speaker 1: That Christmas movie last year. Yeah, I like Live Together.
- 28:06Speaker 1: That's interesting.
- 28:09Speaker 3: Where's a fan?
- 28:10Speaker 1: Where's our curious caterer? Movies? Folks? What's happening?
- 28:13Speaker 2: So many questions, sophew answers?
- 28:15Speaker 3: Also, can I just say I saw a commercial for
- 28:19Speaker 3: the upcoming Hannah Swinson A Pie to Die For, which
- 28:23Speaker 3: directed by Crystal Low. Looking forward to that, really looking
- 28:28Speaker 3: forward to that. The movie is airing on Hallmark Channel, right,
- 28:32Speaker 3: but the commercial says special event.
- 28:36Speaker 1: I'm like, what.
- 28:37Speaker 3: Because it's airing on Hallmark Channel?
- 28:39Speaker 1: Is it because it's a mystery?
- 28:40Speaker 2: Maybe something is really going on with mysteries over there.
- 28:43Speaker 1: It's a mystery. It's a mystery.
- 28:46Speaker 2: That's all the headlines we have for you this month.
