- 0:24Speaker 1: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:29Speaker 1: with us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Mallley along with
- 0:32Speaker 1: Trey Trenholm today Thursday, March sixth two thousand and five.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Hello Trey, Hello Daniel.
- 0:46Speaker 1: The thing we are going to start with today, I
- 0:48Speaker 1: contemplated saving it for the end of the show because
- 0:54Speaker 1: in previous times we would usually find something really good
- 0:58Speaker 1: and save it for the end of the show. But
- 1:00Speaker 1: times have changed now the smart thing is to do
- 1:03Speaker 1: that really good thing first, right.
- 1:08Speaker 2: How previous are we talking because there was a previous
- 1:11Speaker 2: iteration where someone you could give someone something good and
- 1:15Speaker 2: they couldn't keep it until the four o'clock hour.
- 1:23Speaker 3: We've learned a lot over the years, a whole lot.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Some of those lessons that we've learned were public. Some
- 1:32Speaker 1: of those lessons that we've learned we've kept behind the curtain.
- 1:36Speaker 1: They just maintained some mystery. But the sort of answer
- 1:41Speaker 1: the question you're posing, we would hide things right or
- 1:46Speaker 1: say we were still working on them right, therefore staving
- 1:50Speaker 1: off the premature execution of said bit. We however, this iteration,
- 1:58Speaker 1: the Treehouse Show is pretty good.
- 2:01Speaker 3: At discipline.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Yeah, as I said, we have a lot more discipline,
- 2:05Speaker 2: a lot more.
- 2:06Speaker 3: You know how, I know you and I have a
- 2:08Speaker 3: lot more discipline than others.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Because we're here every day.
- 2:13Speaker 3: We're alive. That's part of it.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Being alive helps planet. Yeah, in my forty five years
- 2:22Speaker 1: on this planet, I've learned that being alive is beneficial.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Being on time is also nice. Being nice is nice.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Anyway I could go on. The point is, instead of
- 2:40Speaker 1: saving this tidbit for the end of the show, I
- 2:42Speaker 1: want to start the show off on the right foot.
- 2:46Speaker 2: All right, Okay, So.
- 2:50Speaker 3: I recently learned some new information that I want to
- 2:52Speaker 3: share with you. Now.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Did you know that, thanks to their very fibrous diet,
- 3:01Speaker 1: gorillas fart.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Almost non stop?
- 3:05Speaker 2: I did not know that.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Gorilla's fart almost non stop things to their fibrous diet.
- 3:13Speaker 1: You remember the movie Gorillas in the Mist? Yes, Now
- 3:19Speaker 1: I think this myst is story of Jane Goodall. Yeah,
- 3:26Speaker 1: doesn't that make joke? Doesn't that make Jane Goodall's work
- 3:29Speaker 1: all the more impressive? And I'm pretty sure I saw
- 3:35Speaker 1: that movie. I mean it's an old movie, Gorillas in
- 3:38Speaker 1: the Mist. I'm pretty sure I saw it as a kid.
- 3:41Speaker 1: I feel like now I should rewatch it with fresh
- 3:44Speaker 1: eyes now that I've now that I know this information
- 3:48Speaker 1: that I don't think was in that film.
- 3:54Speaker 3: But yeah, I mean it makes sense, it does.
- 3:59Speaker 2: But they a lot of fruit and things. Maybe it's
- 4:01Speaker 2: not that stinky. I don't know.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I don't know, but according to the information I have
- 4:06Speaker 1: recently discovered, gorillas magnificent herbivores are renowned for their impressive
- 4:15Speaker 1: size and social complexity, But alongside their grandeur comes a
- 4:19Speaker 1: less dignified trait, near constant flatulence. Their diet rich in
- 4:24Speaker 1: fibrous leaves, stems, and bamboo fuels a robust digestive process.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Gut bacteria work tirelessly to break down this tough material,
- 4:36Speaker 1: generating copious amounts of gas as a byproduct. This natural
- 4:44Speaker 1: process results in frequent and audible emissions, a common occurrence
- 4:52Speaker 1: in gorilla habitats, which sheds even newer light and fresh
- 4:59Speaker 1: perspective on gorillas, especially the ones that are in captivity,
- 5:05Speaker 1: because then they're basically just hot boxing themselves all the time.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Can you imagine if at the zoo, the you know,
- 5:15Speaker 1: those the clear walls that you can visually interact with
- 5:19Speaker 1: the gorillas. Can you imagine if they had tiny holes
- 5:22Speaker 1: to where you could breathe in.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Oo.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Be just a bunch of just just just bodies piled
- 5:31Speaker 1: in front of the gorilla exhibit.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Now, I think think about as the videos of when
- 5:38Speaker 2: you see gorillas upright walking on two feet and you
- 5:41Speaker 2: just feel like they're running towards the bathroom with a
- 5:45Speaker 2: wisconstant sound effect going oh am, I gonna make it,
- 5:52Speaker 2: I'm I gonna make it. I'm gonna make it. What
- 5:56Speaker 2: do they care?
- 5:56Speaker 1: You know, It's like they shouldn't they fling it? Yeah,
- 6:00Speaker 1: they don't have the social hang.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Ups that we do. Yeah, they just they just walk
- 6:04Speaker 3: and rip.
- 6:06Speaker 1: I will say, though, I've never never thought about that,
- 6:08Speaker 1: is you know, gorilla's duck walking around.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Some might be shy, have some sort of performance anxiety
- 6:21Speaker 2: you have to go and go behind the tree.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I can imagine having you know, an entire.
- 6:33Speaker 1: School field trips staring at you might make you a
- 6:36Speaker 1: little self conscious when you need to go.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Number two in the habitat.
- 6:42Speaker 2: I wonder if Coco ever, you know, signed pull my finger.
- 6:47Speaker 1: See now, all this gorilla research we've grown up with
- 6:50Speaker 1: over the decades really has this new I don't want
- 6:54Speaker 1: to call it fresh perspective because it's probably gonna smell
- 6:56Speaker 1: kind of bad.
- 7:05Speaker 4: You're listening to the TuS visitors online at Treehouse on
- 7:09Speaker 4: Air dot com.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Let's get Daniel Cook from COOKDFW Roofing and Restoration into

- 7:33Speaker 1: And we've been very fortunate over the years to partner
- 7:36Speaker 1: with some outstanding companies wanting to help. And today we
- 7:40Speaker 1: get to add cookdfw's name to that list of excellent
- 7:43Speaker 1: sponsors to the foundation because Daniel, you and your wife
- 7:46Speaker 1: Carrie have said, you know what, we love our community
- 7:48Speaker 1: and we want to do something to give back to
- 7:50Speaker 1: our first responders in DFW.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Right, Dan, That's.
- 7:53Speaker 5: Absolutely correct, and you know, truth be known, Carrie has
- 7:57Speaker 5: given to the foundation for quite so many years. But
- 8:01Speaker 5: now at a company level, I think we are wanting
- 8:03Speaker 5: to definitely, you know, beef that up and start giving
- 8:08Speaker 5: back to the foundation. And it's unfortunately, this is a
- 8:11Speaker 5: foundation nobody wants to have to donate to. But it's
- 8:14Speaker 5: the real world is that these things do happen, and
- 8:17Speaker 5: it's it's it's the type of foundation that you don't
- 8:20Speaker 5: want around, but you definitely want it to be, you know,
- 8:22Speaker 5: available to the families that need it. And so over
- 8:25Speaker 5: the next couple of months, you know, a portion of
- 8:28Speaker 5: all the proceeds from the work done from Treehouse listeners
- 8:32Speaker 5: that call in and let us know that they heard
- 8:33Speaker 5: about you on the show, we're going to be donating
- 8:36Speaker 5: to the RMS tree House Listeners Foundation and making sure
- 8:39Speaker 5: that we can keep that very stable in the accounting
- 8:44Speaker 5: side and and have funds available that when the families
- 8:47Speaker 5: need it, it's going to be there.
- 8:48Speaker 2: So we're very.
- 8:50Speaker 5: Fortunate to be a part of the organization and we
- 8:53Speaker 5: look forward to try and assist and help it as.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Much as we can.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Not only a company that cares about you as a client,

- 9:50Speaker 1: to give them a call and do that today eight
- 9:52Speaker 1: three three Cook DFW. That way you can check to
- 9:55Speaker 1: see if there's any damage that you may not be
- 9:57Speaker 1: able to see, or even if to give you peace
- 10:01Speaker 1: of mind to know for sure that your roof is
- 10:05Speaker 1: fine before the next storm. Give Daniel a call today
- 10:08Speaker 1: eight three three cook DFW or the website cookdfw dot com.
- 10:13Speaker 2: That really, that was the craziest weather like I've never
- 10:17Speaker 2: in fifty years, basically being in Dallas my whole life
- 10:21Speaker 2: for thirty six it seems like thirty six hours, that
- 10:25Speaker 2: was the windiest it's ever been.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I believe it was.
- 10:28Speaker 1: I saw a graphic I think it was from Fox
- 10:29Speaker 1: four that I think it was gusts up to hurricane
- 10:34Speaker 1: force winds, which I think has happened recently in a
- 10:37Speaker 1: storm as well.
- 10:37Speaker 2: But that was that was during the storm. But you know,
- 10:42Speaker 2: for especially for like twelve hours after the storm, we
- 10:45Speaker 2: were getting gussed up, you know, fifty to fifty five
- 10:47Speaker 2: miles an hour, and it was sunny, right.
- 10:50Speaker 3: You know, That's what I'm with you.
- 10:52Speaker 1: That right there was amazing to me, how because the
- 10:54Speaker 1: hurricane force winds that I remember before were part of
- 10:57Speaker 1: a storm and this stuff was just just effing wind.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:00Speaker 3: And then apparently it brought in all this West Texas dust.
- 11:03Speaker 3: Oh yeah.
- 11:04Speaker 1: And I even saw that now, that was definitely on
- 11:06Speaker 1: Foxfoard And I think I even commented on their thing
- 11:09Speaker 1: on Instagram or threads or whatever, saying like fort Worth
- 11:12Speaker 1: looks like Tattooine right now. So give cook DFW a call,
- 11:17Speaker 1: have your roof and your property checked out. Eight three
- 11:20Speaker 1: to three cook DFW or the website cookdfw dot com.
- 11:24Speaker 3: I'm Dani Maley along with Trey Trendholm inside the Treehouse
- 11:27Speaker 3: today March sixth, twenty twenty five.
- 11:32Speaker 1: All right, pay attention here with this news, the Dallas
- 11:36Speaker 1: Mavericks quest to become the dumbest franchise in North Texas
- 11:39Speaker 1: might be complete, on the heels of a trade that
- 11:43Speaker 1: sent fan favorite Luca donchets to the Lakers in exchange
- 11:46Speaker 1: for a hospital patient. The Dallas Mavericks are raising ticket prices. Morons,
- 11:57Speaker 1: abject morons. And you know what's great about this is
- 12:02Speaker 1: if you try to imagine the moronic face of the
- 12:06Speaker 1: individual that would have these kakamami ideas that they think
- 12:12Speaker 1: is going to lead to growth for the Mavericks, it's.
- 12:17Speaker 3: The face of the guy that's actually doing it.
- 12:21Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know how how you can be
- 12:25Speaker 2: shocked by this lead. The Metroplex leader hasn't won, hasn't
- 12:31Speaker 2: even been to a championship game in thirty years, and they,
- 12:35Speaker 2: you know, have gotten a new stadium and are the
- 12:38Speaker 2: most valuable franchise in the world. The Maths are on
- 12:42Speaker 2: the precipice of getting a whole new stadium built for themselves.
- 12:45Speaker 1: I am used to I am used to idiocy coming
- 12:49Speaker 1: out of the Dallas Cowboys. I'm not used to the
- 12:51Speaker 1: nonsense coming out of the Mavericks. But as soon as
- 12:54Speaker 1: Mark Cuban sold his controlling interest to the Adelson's and
- 12:57Speaker 1: put let me get my beep ready and put this
- 13:02Speaker 1: and moron in charge Patrick Dumont, the franchise has taken
- 13:07Speaker 1: a huge and that's saying something because there's Locha around
- 13:14Speaker 1: the Double A Sea, and most of it until now
- 13:17Speaker 1: wasn't MAVs related.
- 13:18Speaker 3: It was just from homeless and drunkenness.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Listen, seriously, Patrick Dumont, look at that guy right there,
- 13:25Speaker 1: that's that's the face of the Mavericks. Now looks exactly
- 13:32Speaker 1: like the moron that would ruin anything. He got his
- 13:34Speaker 1: gap tooth around and that's exactly what he's done.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Good job.
- 13:38Speaker 2: He looks like a grown up guy of uh oh,
- 13:44Speaker 2: what was the mad oh gosh, I'll think of this
- 13:51Speaker 2: cartoon character in a second. He looks like the grown
- 13:53Speaker 2: up adult, the human version of it.
- 13:57Speaker 1: To me, Patrick Dumont looks like and I know that
- 13:59Speaker 1: there's I know that they say that, you know, the
- 14:01Speaker 1: twenty first century and all the political correctness that goes
- 14:05Speaker 1: around these days. You're not supposed to, you know, disparage
- 14:08Speaker 1: people's looks. But when you're mad at them, I say,
- 14:11Speaker 1: go for it. So to me, Patrick Dumont, who is
- 14:15Speaker 1: the governor of basketball of the Dallas Mavericks, most to me, now,
- 14:18Speaker 1: hang on, okay, now, okay, yeah, them brain farighting on
- 14:26Speaker 1: his name, the kid that's always on the cover of.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Mad Magazine Alfredy Newman.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Alfredy Newman, Yes, that's pretty good. Patrick Dumont looks a
- 14:34Speaker 1: lot like Alfredy Newman from Mad Magazine. To me, he
- 14:38Speaker 1: also looks like Michael Strahan and the kid from Problem
- 14:42Speaker 1: Child had.
- 14:42Speaker 3: A butt baby.
- 14:45Speaker 1: That guy right there is the is the one that
- 14:48Speaker 1: gets to where the face of idiocracy in controlling the
- 14:54Speaker 1: MAVs and its future.
- 14:58Speaker 3: So in this.
- 14:59Speaker 1: In this guy infinite wisdom after trading away fan favorite
- 15:05Speaker 1: Luka Doncic, which, by the way, let's be honest, was
- 15:09Speaker 1: a crap trade, even if you were four sending Luke
- 15:13Speaker 1: away because maybe you think he is out of shape
- 15:15Speaker 1: and maybe he did snink in the finals last year.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Forget That is a bad trade on paper, and it's
- 15:19Speaker 1: a bad trade in real life. And as if that
- 15:21Speaker 1: wasn't bad enough, everything that has happened subsequently since the
- 15:26Speaker 1: trade has been awful decision awful decision after awful decision.
- 15:31Speaker 1: So why not raise ticket prices against the people that
- 15:35Speaker 1: you clearly hate, which is your.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Fans first of all. Okay, and maybe this is my
- 15:44Speaker 2: age showing, but the fact the Mavericks as a whole
- 15:51Speaker 2: have always been a mediocre franchise. Uh huh, we got
- 15:55Speaker 2: to see him win a championship. I'm good. But I
- 15:59Speaker 2: also I remember the fan outrage when we traded Steve Nash.
- 16:05Speaker 2: How could we do that? Break up Dirk and Steve?
- 16:08Speaker 2: I think else even the fan outrage when we traded
- 16:11Speaker 2: Jason Terry. So I still from a business point, I
- 16:19Speaker 2: understand thee hundred, you know, them being skeptical of the
- 16:22Speaker 2: extra one hundred. You know, I think Luca was his
- 16:25Speaker 2: max deal was like three hundred and fifty million, where
- 16:27Speaker 2: with the Lakers it's like two forty something like that.
- 16:32Speaker 2: And yes, it probably is going to be a bad
- 16:34Speaker 2: end up being a bad deal. But right now with Luca,
- 16:39Speaker 2: you know, Luca's got a spur up his ass because
- 16:41Speaker 2: he feels he's pissed off about being traded. Let's see
- 16:46Speaker 2: how he, you know, comes up, you know, comes in
- 16:47Speaker 2: next year. Is he gonna be in shape, whatnot. I
- 16:50Speaker 2: think you do have to give these things some time
- 16:53Speaker 2: to actually gain perspective. But you're probably right it really
- 16:57Speaker 2: was a bad trade.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Let's take a step back and remove emotion from the discussion,
- 17:04Speaker 1: all right, But okay, just briefly, do you think Trey
- 17:10Speaker 1: that in light of everything that is transpired with the
- 17:12Speaker 1: MAVs organization, do you think it is a good idea
- 17:16Speaker 1: and a good time to raise ticket prices?
- 17:21Speaker 2: I wouldn't announce it.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Naha, that makes sense.

- 18:16Speaker 1: inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Maley along with Trey Trendholme
- 18:19Speaker 1: today March sixth, twoenty twenty five, in a story that
- 18:23Speaker 1: is sure to make Trey smile. Here we go, an
- 18:28Speaker 1: Ohio foot spa was shut down by authorities.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Just one week after opening.
- 18:35Speaker 1: I'm not even sure if this foot spa had a
- 18:38Speaker 1: chance to solicit actual customers. It's almost like the police
- 18:42Speaker 1: were out front banging on the glass like the Mervins lady.
- 18:51Speaker 3: And this is after I think it was.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Last week we talked about a Asian massage place in
- 18:58Speaker 1: New Jersey had been busted for prostitution on prostitution allegations
- 19:06Speaker 1: before that. A couple of months ago, we talked about
- 19:09Speaker 1: a North Texas police department that is going through a
- 19:14Speaker 1: thing right now because some of their officers did a
- 19:18Speaker 1: little too much things.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Yeah, they got they got too many people involved in
- 19:23Speaker 2: the investigation.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Of of of a of a massage parlor that was
- 19:30Speaker 1: reportedly doing things more than.
- 19:34Speaker 2: I mean they were.
- 19:35Speaker 3: They were thorough, extremely thorough guys.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Look, give the place a chance to do illegal things
- 19:52Speaker 1: to the public before this really just sounds like as
- 19:56Speaker 1: soon as the local police department, where was this?
- 20:00Speaker 3: Ohio?
- 20:01Speaker 1: Let me just fucking find a city for you, Canfield, Ohio.
- 20:05Speaker 1: In Canfield, Ohio, a footsball was closed by authorities just
- 20:10Speaker 1: one week after it opened.
- 20:13Speaker 3: Thirty six year.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Old shenseng Zang was taken into custody after the Harmony
- 20:19Speaker 1: foot Spa in Canfield, Ohio was rated by police.
- 20:24Speaker 3: Hang On asking me for a newsletter sign up.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Was rated by police and the Human Trafficking Task Force.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Police told a reporters that the woman solicited an undercover
- 20:39Speaker 1: agent offering sex in exchange for money. She was arrested
- 20:42Speaker 1: and charged with promoting prostitution, soliciting, possessing criminal tools.
- 20:48Speaker 3: The hell is that? The hell were they using? The
- 20:52Speaker 3: jerk never mind?
- 20:56Speaker 1: But I mean within a week of them opening, It's
- 20:58Speaker 1: like it's almost like the Infield Police Department and this
- 21:01Speaker 1: task force had alerts set for the next Asian massage
- 21:04Speaker 1: parlor to open up because they just couldn't wait to
- 21:06Speaker 1: get in there to you know, to put on the steam.
- 21:10Speaker 2: They clearly were at the grand opening waiting.
- 21:16Speaker 1: I'm not even sure if they had time to turn
- 21:18Speaker 1: on the inflatable wiggly guy.
- 21:19Speaker 3: Police are already out front, going let me in.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I've got a punch card already.
- 21:29Speaker 2: So long since we shut down the last one.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Uh yeah, they won't honor my I got ten on here.
- 21:38Speaker 1: But yeah, I mean, if if you're an undercover police
- 21:42Speaker 1: officer and you're wanting to bust illegal activity at these
- 21:47Speaker 1: massage parlors, don't have everyone else busting as well, because
- 21:53Speaker 1: then that might actually bust your case. Yes, I've said
- 21:57Speaker 1: bust many times in this story, but I think it's pertinent.
- 22:00Speaker 2: I just there and there has to be a line
- 22:06Speaker 2: the sex trafficking. Absolutely bust it. Get rid of them,
- 22:10Speaker 2: get lock them up, it's horrible everything else. But if
- 22:14Speaker 2: everyone's above eighteen, it's just there's bigger there's bigger problems
- 22:20Speaker 2: in this world.
- 22:21Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean if okay, look, if.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Everyone's above eighteen and there by choice not, you know, then.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Just if it's all consensual and you want the you know,
- 22:35Speaker 1: the rub and tug, fine, then like everything else that
- 22:40Speaker 1: we think can should be illegal, let's tax it and
- 22:43Speaker 1: regulate it a little bit so that way, uh, you
- 22:46Speaker 1: don't get rogue rubb and tugs or something.
- 22:48Speaker 3: At least this way you can take some of that
- 22:50Speaker 3: money and do do something good with it. Yeah. And
- 22:55Speaker 3: also it'll free up manpower on the police side to
- 22:58Speaker 3: do other things.
- 22:59Speaker 1: It's instead of constantly investigating undercover all these Asian massage part.
- 23:07Speaker 2: They may not want that.
- 23:09Speaker 1: They may not want it, and I don't blame them.

- 24:06Speaker 1: I'm Denim Malley along with Trey TRENDHLM inside the Treehouse today.
- 24:11Speaker 3: There's something very.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Terrifying that I saw recently, and since I had to
- 24:15Speaker 1: see it, I'm, you know, obviously going to make you
- 24:17Speaker 1: look at it as well. Trey, have you ever seen
- 24:21Speaker 1: a photo of a pork tapeworm up close?
- 24:26Speaker 2: A pork tapeworm?
- 24:27Speaker 1: No?
- 24:27Speaker 2: I don't believe I have.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Okay, well, someone took a photo of a pork tapeworm
- 24:34Speaker 1: face up close, and I am going to show it
- 24:38Speaker 1: to you.
- 24:39Speaker 3: Okay, here we go, maam geez.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Yeah, that that right there is the stuff of nightmares.
- 24:51Speaker 1: This stunning image provides an up close view of a
- 24:55Speaker 1: pork tapeworm's head, magnified two hundred times. The I like
- 25:01Speaker 1: structures are suckers, which, along with the hook covered rostellum,
- 25:07Speaker 1: enable the tapeworm to anchor itself to the host's intestinal lining.
- 25:12Speaker 1: In its adult form, the worm can grow to links
- 25:15Speaker 1: of two to three meters in humans. My god, that's
- 25:19Speaker 1: disgusting and huge and obviously not everyone can see this photo,
- 25:25Speaker 1: So the best way I can describe it is Trey.
- 25:29Speaker 3: You remember Admiral Akbar from Star Wars.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Uh huh, This close up image of a pork tapeworm
- 25:37Speaker 1: to me looks like Admiral Akbar from Star Wars on
- 25:41Speaker 1: meth Uh.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I can't even that or if anyone saw a
- 25:52Speaker 2: picture of that like demonfish that they said like once
- 25:56Speaker 2: in a lifetime thing that flew up from the like
- 25:58Speaker 2: the depths of the ocean to basically die. Uh, that's
- 26:02Speaker 2: the only thing I've seen that even compares to this one.
- 26:06Speaker 1: I think that's a pretty good description as well. And
- 26:09Speaker 1: that demon fish that came from the depths of the
- 26:11Speaker 1: ocean to the surface to die, this is the thing
- 26:14Speaker 1: that it saw when it decided that's it.
- 26:16Speaker 2: I'm out.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Yeah, that's how hideous this creature looks.
- 26:21Speaker 2: I mean, the sucker eye things just look like they're
- 26:25Speaker 2: gateways to hell.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Yes, yes they do. And the teeth are it's like
- 26:30Speaker 1: they're the teeth the upper and lower inner lock just
- 26:33Speaker 1: looking absolutely atrocious. It somehow looks like an even more
- 26:38Speaker 1: disturbing sarlac pit again from Star Wars. Thank you for
- 26:43Speaker 1: providing all the descriptions here. So yeah, the I like
- 26:47Speaker 1: structures are are the suckers, okay, and they enable the
- 26:52Speaker 1: tapeworm to anchor itself to the host's intestinal lining. This
- 26:56Speaker 1: photo was actually captured by Teresa's a Goda. The photoph
- 27:00Speaker 1: earned fourth place in the twenty seventeen Nikon Small World
- 27:06Speaker 1: Competition and received a gold award at the Royal Photographic
- 27:09Speaker 1: Society's Images of Science Competition. This one fourth place. Now,
- 27:16Speaker 1: the competition did not center around terrifying imagery, but I'm
- 27:22Speaker 1: afraid to look at what first, second, and third were
- 27:25Speaker 1: if this was fourth huh.
- 27:30Speaker 2: I mean, I mean, I can understand if it just
- 27:32Speaker 2: freaked the judges out and they're like, huh huh, I
- 27:35Speaker 2: don't want that on the cover as the winner of whatever.
- 27:38Speaker 1: That's true, they might have might have scared the judges. This, also,
- 27:43Speaker 1: by the way, is the same type of tapeworm that
- 27:45Speaker 1: was found in the brain of a man who ate
- 27:48Speaker 1: undercooked bacon.
- 27:52Speaker 3: From about a year ago.
- 27:55Speaker 1: The American Journal of Case Reports documented an unidentified fifty
- 27:59Speaker 1: two year old American man who is experiencing weakly migraines
- 28:03Speaker 1: that were unresponsive to medication. Following a CT scan, researchers
- 28:09Speaker 1: found numerous fluid filled sacks in his brain with no
- 28:12Speaker 1: mass effects of a possible tumor growing on his brain
- 28:15Speaker 1: built up of fluids and brain activities and cavities, researchers
- 28:18Speaker 1: were suspicious for other things. After being admitted to the hospital,
- 28:21Speaker 1: he tested positive for cystic carosis cyst antibodies, then diagnosed
- 28:29Speaker 1: with neuro cystic carrosis, a preventable parasitic infection caused by
- 28:34Speaker 1: larval symptoms from the pork tapeworm.
- 28:39Speaker 3: Which looks like this guy.
- 28:42Speaker 2: So this is different from trichinosis, I guess so.
- 28:49Speaker 1: But again, this thing can grow up the two to
- 28:51Speaker 1: three meters long. But it really is, I mean, just
- 28:56Speaker 1: looking at the face of this really is nightmare fuel.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Yeah. And it's funny because you know, they've they've really
- 29:05Speaker 2: taken some of the restrictions off uh pork and temperatures
- 29:10Speaker 2: that you you you know, used to be you couldn't
- 29:13Speaker 2: order pork anything but well done. And now because of
- 29:17Speaker 2: the quality of meats that you can. But I don't
- 29:21Speaker 2: think I'm going to if this is a possibility.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Uh huh, because if if your pork is slightly pink,
- 29:28Speaker 1: you might be you might be ingesting one of these guys.
- 29:35Speaker 1: I'm surprised you're not more alarmed at this parasitic tapeworm
- 29:41Speaker 1: face up close trade because this looks a lot like
- 29:44Speaker 1: the thing that is hidden inside a number of your ex'es.

- 30:43Speaker 1: Trey Trenthilm inside the Treehouse Today. Today is Thursday, March sixth,
- 30:47Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. Let's celebrate with some birthdays. Jacob Bertrand
- 30:56Speaker 1: is twenty five today. He plays Hawk on the Cobra
- 31:01Speaker 1: Kai series. Jocob Bertrand twenty five, best known as Hawk
- 31:06Speaker 1: on the Cobra Kai series, Trey, I forget.
- 31:09Speaker 3: Have you seen all.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Of the Cobra Kai episodes? No am I thinking of
- 31:13Speaker 1: raj Okay.
- 31:16Speaker 2: I've watched like the first two seasons.
- 31:22Speaker 3: Yep.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Tara and I watched I think the first few seasons,
- 31:28Speaker 1: and we checked out soon after the big fight in
- 31:32Speaker 1: the school where the one kid kicked the other kid
- 31:36Speaker 1: over the railing of the stairs and like broke his
- 31:38Speaker 1: back or something.
- 31:39Speaker 3: And it wasn't long after.
- 31:41Speaker 1: That that that we punched out because we were like, Okay,
- 31:44Speaker 1: this is this is kind of ridiculous.
- 31:45Speaker 3: Now It's like, no one's calling the police.
- 31:47Speaker 1: These kids are are kicking a crap out of each
- 31:49Speaker 1: other at school and this is just kind of insane.
- 31:53Speaker 2: And then.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Not that long ago they released the tray for the
- 32:01Speaker 1: first half of the final season, and then then there
- 32:05Speaker 1: was another trailer after that got released of the second
- 32:08Speaker 1: half of the final part of the final season, and
- 32:12Speaker 1: YouTube thought I needed to see some of this, So
- 32:14Speaker 1: the other day it showed I guess the big rematch
- 32:19Speaker 1: of Terry Silver and Daniel LaRusso in the Cobra Kai series,
- 32:23Speaker 1: because they keep bringing back all the old characters right,
- 32:27Speaker 1: and that of course was the matchup of Karate Kid three,
- 32:31Speaker 1: the long hair ponytail guy who was just trying to
- 32:34Speaker 1: destroy Daniel LaRusso in the third one.
- 32:37Speaker 3: Well, and I watched this two and a half.
- 32:40Speaker 1: Minute fight scene between old ass Terry Silver and old
- 32:45Speaker 1: ass Daniel LaRusso and the actual actors portraying them again,
- 32:49Speaker 1: and I realized Cobra Kai is not so much of
- 32:52Speaker 1: martial arts epic as it is just a bunch of
- 32:56Speaker 1: old actors seeing if they can kick above their hips.
- 33:00Speaker 3: It's kind of sad.
- 33:05Speaker 2: I enjoyed it like the first season, the nostalgia, everything
- 33:08Speaker 2: else great, same as Shoe Yeah, but you know, at
- 33:16Speaker 2: this point they would have to bring back Pat Marita
- 33:18Speaker 2: for me to really become interested in it. Do some
- 33:22Speaker 2: Yoda crap.
- 33:25Speaker 1: That would get me, that would get me back to
- 33:27Speaker 1: watching Yobra Kai without a doubt, bring back old Pat Merita.
- 33:31Speaker 1: But it really was like some of the fight scenes
- 33:33Speaker 1: with the old guys, the old actors, and.
- 33:37Speaker 3: It really is.
- 33:38Speaker 1: It's one of these things is not like the other
- 33:41Speaker 1: while watching Cobra Kai, because you got the old actors
- 33:43Speaker 1: seeing if they can just kick above their hips, if
- 33:46Speaker 1: they're flexible enough. And it's slow and deliberate and just
- 33:50Speaker 1: very boring fight scenes. Meanwhile, the kids who have only
- 33:54Speaker 1: been taking karate in the series for like two weeks
- 33:57Speaker 1: are doing jump spinning kicks that weren't even an American Ninja,
- 34:00Speaker 1: and that was a franchise about ninja. And these are
- 34:03Speaker 1: high school kids kicking the crap out of each other
- 34:05Speaker 1: very impressively. So it really is it's like two big
- 34:10Speaker 1: ends of the spectrum there as far as old people
- 34:12Speaker 1: kicking and young people kicking. And anyway, Jacob Bertrand is
- 34:16Speaker 1: twenty five today. Other birthdays today from Thirteen Reasons Why.
- 34:23Speaker 1: Alicia Bow is twenty eight, Tyler the Creator is thirty
- 34:26Speaker 1: four from Oranges, The New Black Yale Stone is forty.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Bubba Sparks is forty eight. Try to remembers Baba Sparks.
- 34:35Speaker 1: Love Bubba Sparks, Love you some Bubba.
- 34:41Speaker 3: Let's see.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Shaquille O'Neil turns fifty three today. Sometimes North Texas resident
- 34:46Speaker 1: Shaquille O'Neill fifty three today, really big on giving back
- 34:51Speaker 1: in the community. We'll wander into a Walmart and occasionally
- 34:55Speaker 1: just buy things for everyone in the Walmart. That's so
- 34:59Speaker 1: much money. But if we're being honest, It's not like
- 35:02Speaker 1: he can ever do anything under the radar because he's
- 35:05Speaker 1: seven two and just.
- 35:10Speaker 3: Huge, So there's no sneaking around for Shack.
- 35:13Speaker 1: If he goes somewhere, it's almost like he has to
- 35:14Speaker 1: buy stuff for everybody, which kind of sucks because then
- 35:18Speaker 1: that isn't that the expectation whenever he shows up someplace,
- 35:22Speaker 1: and then if you don't get it, you're like, ah damn.
- 35:25Speaker 1: Like what if you're at nordsterm Rack and Shack rolls in,
- 35:27Speaker 1: It's like, oh, yeah, let me get some free shoes
- 35:29Speaker 1: or the free dream.
- 35:31Speaker 3: What if he said no that day?
- 35:34Speaker 2: I mean, we're being honest. Normally he does that stuff
- 35:37Speaker 2: like at Walmart, and if I see Shack at Walmart,
- 35:39Speaker 2: I'm assuming he's buying for other people and not himself.
- 35:42Speaker 3: That's true. Now, if Shaq shows up the Neman Marcus,
- 35:46Speaker 3: yeah course.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Then again, if you're at Neman Marcus hoping Shack shows up,
- 35:53Speaker 1: I think you're gonna be there a while. Yeah, you're

- 36:33Speaker 1: follow on social media. I'm Dan along with Trey inside
- 36:36Speaker 1: the Treehouse today, Thursday, March sixth, twenty twenty five. There
- 36:45Speaker 1: are occasional stories that bring smiles to our faces, and
- 36:52Speaker 1: this is definitely one of those. Okay, so here we go, Trey.
- 36:56Speaker 1: I know this is one that's going to make you smile.
- 37:01Speaker 1: A mom accused of locking her daughter in a chicken
- 37:04Speaker 1: coop was found shot to death. All right, really is
- 37:09Speaker 1: a feel good story, right. The woman and her boyfriend
- 37:15Speaker 1: allegedly confined a teen to a chicken coop for months,
- 37:19Speaker 1: blindfolded her while forcing her to stand all day and
- 37:23Speaker 1: eat only Ramen. Police are now asking help in finding
- 37:28Speaker 1: her killer, and locals say they aren't helping anyone look
- 37:33Speaker 1: for anybody in this case.
- 37:35Speaker 2: Good for them.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Wow, just when we thought this country was divided, we
- 37:43Speaker 1: found a unifying point. Eight days after police in Farmington,
- 37:48Speaker 1: New Mexico, announced the arrests of Patricia Madrid and Jammy
- 37:52Speaker 1: Jackson for child abuse, authorities issued another press release revealing
- 37:57Speaker 1: one of them had been shot to death. Now they're
- 38:00Speaker 1: seeking the public's help finding a person of interest in
- 38:03Speaker 1: the mom's murder, but the public wants no part of it.
- 38:06Speaker 1: After horrific allegations of abuse were released. The investigation into
- 38:11Speaker 1: the mom and the boyfriend began in September of twenty
- 38:14Speaker 1: four after CPS reached out to the local police department
- 38:17Speaker 1: with concerns for a child's welfare. Reports indicated the child
- 38:20Speaker 1: had been locked in a chicken coop for extended periods
- 38:23Speaker 1: and exposed to extreme weather conditions. The child is described
- 38:27Speaker 1: as a fifteen year old girl, was removed from the
- 38:30Speaker 1: home and on February eighteenth, twenty twenty five, the mom
- 38:33Speaker 1: and the boyfriend were arrested in charge with fourteen felony counts,
- 38:37Speaker 1: including child abuse and conspiracy to commit child abuse. According
- 38:42Speaker 1: to the Durango Herald, the victim is the daughter of Jackson,
- 38:45Speaker 1: who is Madrid's boyfriend. Per the arrest Affid David, the
- 38:49Speaker 1: team was confined to a chicken coop, required to wear
- 38:51Speaker 1: ear muffs and a blindfold while forced to stand from
- 38:55Speaker 1: around five am to ten pm every day, only given
- 38:58Speaker 1: a package of ramen noodles with health water and allowed
- 39:00Speaker 1: to use the bathroom only twice per day. The teen
- 39:07Speaker 1: also allegedly told police her father once put a gun
- 39:09Speaker 1: against her head and said he didn't mind killing someone,
- 39:11Speaker 1: no different than killing an animal.
- 39:13Speaker 3: Well, now she's dead. The mom and all the locals
- 39:22Speaker 3: are like, well, we don't know nothing.
- 39:24Speaker 2: And you know what, I hope someone bails him out too.
- 39:33Speaker 2: That's one guy, you know. I don't want to make bag.
- 39:36Speaker 3: Yeah, can you keep me please? Yeah.
- 39:40Speaker 1: On Wednesday, February twenty sixth, eight days after their arrests,
- 39:44Speaker 1: police were called to a residence about a shooting. Officers
- 39:47Speaker 1: canvas the area for a suspect. However, investigators believe the
- 39:50Speaker 1: individual left the area prior to police arrival. They released
- 39:53Speaker 1: video of the scene showing someone they call a person
- 39:57Speaker 1: of interest in her death left the area on it
- 39:59Speaker 1: by Sickle.
- 40:00Speaker 3: No arrests have been made.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Police say a homicide investigation remains active and ongoing, and
- 40:07Speaker 1: it makes.
- 40:07Speaker 2: You wonder how active and ongoing that investigation is. You
- 40:10Speaker 2: know other thing? Hey, Bob, you catch them?
- 40:13Speaker 1: No?
- 40:14Speaker 2: What about you? Bill? No donut? Yeah?
- 40:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm pretty sure we can write down worked on
- 40:21Speaker 1: case today.
- 40:24Speaker 3: Did everything we could and.
- 40:33Speaker 1: Not to speak entirely for you, Trey, but as the
- 40:35Speaker 1: two of us were abused as children, I'm all right
- 40:38Speaker 1: with this.
- 40:40Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a fitting in.
- 40:45Speaker 1: And on the police Facebook page, they said they were
- 40:48Speaker 1: looking for the public's help. Someone even commented, don't lock
- 40:52Speaker 1: your kids in a chicken coop. Good job New Mexican.
- 41:00Speaker 1: Oh yeah, well really wellcome very proud of you today.
- 41:02Speaker 1: All right, that'll do it for us inside the Treehouse today.
