- 0:42Speaker 4: Mold.
- 0:42Speaker 3: It's like spicy spider mold would be the spices. It's
- 0:46Speaker 3: a very aggressively autumn for here, I feel like. National
- 0:49Speaker 3: Mud Pack Day, you know, the old school facial treatment.

- 1:06Speaker 2: Yesterday was National Coffee Day. And I got this text.
- 1:09Speaker 2: I was obsessed with the text. It was like, you
- 1:11Speaker 2: can get free coffee at Starbucks all the time. And
- 1:13Speaker 2: then Chanel was telling me how. And I'm like, Chanel,
- 1:17Speaker 2: please explain how you get free coffee at Starbucks.
- 1:21Speaker 5: So what you do is you have to be a
- 1:22Speaker 5: gold card member. And how you can do that is
- 1:25Speaker 5: you go to your app, the order app, and it
- 1:27Speaker 5: says if you're a gold card or green card or
- 1:29Speaker 5: whatever have you.
- 1:29Speaker 6: Green card is something else.
- 1:32Speaker 5: Yeah, you have to buy the first cup of coffee
- 1:34Speaker 5: or tea, and then you can get unlimited as long
- 1:37Speaker 5: as you're staying in the store and working. It's not
- 1:41Speaker 5: like you just.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Roll up and get a free cup, though, for nothing.
- 1:45Speaker 5: No, but I did send a hack to get, like,
- 1:48Speaker 5: a $ 3 really iced, really good drink, which is really good,
- 1:52Speaker 5: and it's a good hack.
- 1:54Speaker 1: But you can get unlimited anything, though.
- 1:56Speaker 5: After you get your free, like, get the least amount
- 1:58Speaker 5: that you can spend on a coffee or whatever, the
- 2:00Speaker 5: least amount thing. So if it's, like, a regular black
- 2:04Speaker 5: cup of coffee, fine. Get that, but then you come
- 2:06Speaker 5: back and just get a refill of an iced coffee
- 2:08Speaker 5: or iced tea. You don't have to keep doing the
- 2:10Speaker 5: same thing. coffee oh I.
- 2:11Speaker 4: Thought you had to do the same drink for sure
- 2:13Speaker 4: because I've definitely seen like the stay here coffee cups
- 2:17Speaker 4: at Starbucks like they're all tucked away really cute for
- 2:19Speaker 4: the people that do stay and work there but I
- 2:21Speaker 4: didn't know that that's actually kind of genius.
- 2:23Speaker 2: So where does it say if you're a gold I
- 2:25Speaker 2: just opened up my app where to see if I'm
- 2:26Speaker 2: a gold club person Oh, gold status. Look who's hanging
- 2:31Speaker 2: out at Starbucks today.
- 2:35Speaker 5: Gold status.
- 2:36Speaker 6: Gold status. I could walk in and be like, step aside,
- 2:39Speaker 6: gold status.
- 2:40Speaker 4: That's right.
- 2:41Speaker 5: Look at this, gold status.
- 2:42Speaker 6: So I still got to buy my first cup.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Yes, but you don't have to do the little cute
- 2:47Speaker 1: coffee cups there when you're working there. You can just
- 2:50Speaker 1: do a regular like, you know, I know it's like environmental,
- 2:53Speaker 1: not safe and whatever. You have plastic cups, but You know,
- 2:57Speaker 1: that's how you get your, like, you know, your coffee.
- 3:00Speaker 5: And then you can go get your ice. But they don't,
- 3:02Speaker 5: you know, frown on you for getting a different beverage.
- 3:04Speaker 5: It's unlimited, but you just got to purchase your first.
- 3:07Speaker 6: Okay, that's interesting. Okay. Well, Chanel, let me ask you something.
- 3:11Speaker 6: Do you make your bed every day when you get
- 3:12Speaker 6: out of bed?
- 3:13Speaker 2: I do.
- 3:14Speaker 6: You do? You know, I just had this. Check this out.
- 3:17Speaker 2: People who make the bed the moment they get out
- 3:19Speaker 2: of bed, even in hotel rooms, usually share these nine
- 3:23Speaker 2: traits that show up everywhere else in their life.
- 3:26Speaker 6: OK. OK.
- 3:27Speaker 2: So I wonder if this is you, because this is
- 3:30Speaker 2: very much my my wife, Blake. So if you make
- 3:33Speaker 2: your bed the moment again, Rich, you've talked about it.
- 3:34Speaker 6: You do that.
- 3:36Speaker 3: In fact, even when Stacy's in it, I still make
- 3:38Speaker 3: my side.
- 3:39Speaker 6: My wife, we were in a hotel. My wife always
- 3:41Speaker 6: makes the bed in the hotel when we go.
- 3:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't want to come back and see it
- 3:44Speaker 3: all messy.
- 3:44Speaker 2: So one of the things they do, so tell me
- 3:46Speaker 2: this is you. They need to start the day with
- 3:49Speaker 2: one completed task. A woman with curly hair wearing a
- 3:51Speaker 2: black dress smiles while placing a teal pillow in a
- 3:53Speaker 2: neatly made bed with white linen surrounded by curtains. The
- 3:56Speaker 2: bed's the first task of the morning, and they close
- 3:58Speaker 2: it immediately. Before the day is asked anything of them,
- 4:01Speaker 2: it's done. They've done something. So does that make sense?
- 4:04Speaker 4: Yep.
- 4:05Speaker 2: They compartmentalize naturally. Sleep is one mode. The day is another.
- 4:10Speaker 2: And the maid bed is where one ends and the
- 4:13Speaker 2: other begins. I can see that mentally too.
- 4:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:17Speaker 2: They use the environment to manage their mood. A maid
- 4:21Speaker 2: bed changes the room. The shift follows them, shaping how
- 4:23Speaker 2: they walk back at the end of the night. They've
- 4:26Speaker 2: learned probably without even naming it that the state of
- 4:29Speaker 2: the space around them affects the state of their mind.
- 4:32Speaker 6: So I guess messy bed. I agree.
- 4:34Speaker 2: They take care of the future self. That's what they're doing.
- 4:37Speaker 2: The bed isn't made for now. It's made for tonight
- 4:40Speaker 2: when they walk into the bedroom tired and they see
- 4:42Speaker 2: a clean surface.
- 4:43Speaker 6: Makes sense. They create structure before the day asks for it.
- 4:47Speaker 2: By the time the first email arrives or the first
- 4:49Speaker 2: kid needs a ride, they've already.
- 4:51Speaker 6: Built a foundation. Makes sense.
- 4:54Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 4:55Speaker 2: They register unfinished tasks in their body. They register unfinished
- 4:59Speaker 2: tasks in their body. An unmade bed doesn't bother them
- 5:02Speaker 2: the way a mess bothers a neat person. It bothers
- 5:04Speaker 2: them the way an open parentheses bothers an editor.
- 5:08Speaker 4: Wow.
- 5:10Speaker 6: Okay.
- 5:11Speaker 2: They're hard to knock off the routine. They process stress
- 5:13Speaker 2: by working with their hands. They know the difference between
- 5:16Speaker 2: control and order. Control is anxious. It's about making the
- 5:20Speaker 2: world behave and it tightens when anything resists. Order is personal.
- 5:24Speaker 2: It's about keeping your own corner steady. Does that make
- 5:26Speaker 2: sense to you guys?
- 5:27Speaker 6: Yeah, it totally does.
- 5:29Speaker 5: Yeah, totally makes sense.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:30Speaker 5: And in fact, with a hand thing, you know, that's
- 5:32Speaker 5: so important to be hands on with your like significant other.
- 5:36Speaker 5: A massage for each other, like at nighttime, like with
- 5:40Speaker 5: the seat and stuff. I don't know what it is,
- 5:41Speaker 5: but puts you to sleep, knocked out.
- 5:44Speaker 6: But if you're the one giving the massage, it keeps
- 5:46Speaker 6: you awake. You get excited. You get aroused.
- 5:48Speaker 5: No, no.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Just me?
- 5:51Speaker 5: No, if you lay upside down, like, you're at their
- 5:54Speaker 5: feet and the feet are his. You know what I mean?
- 5:57Speaker 4: I just did that the other day.
- 5:58Speaker 6: That's nice.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh.
- 6:00Speaker 5: That is so good. Knocked out. That's the only thing
- 6:03Speaker 5: I miss about my ex, by the way.
- 6:06Speaker 6: So, your way, you're saying his head is by your feet,
- 6:08Speaker 6: massaging your feet. We're like at.
- 6:10Speaker 5: The same time doing it.
- 6:12Speaker 2: You know what's funny is the same hotel I was
- 6:15Speaker 2: in last weekend with my wife where she made the bed,
- 6:17Speaker 2: I tried to do that and she tooted.
- 6:19Speaker 6: Oh, my. And I go, did you just? And she goes, yes.
- 6:22Speaker 6: I was like, hey, all right, well, this is done.
- 6:24Speaker 6: You got to real relax. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 6:27Speaker 5: You got to relax.
- 6:28Speaker 6: Yeah, I might have been hitting that part on her
- 6:30Speaker 6: foot that causes that. Oh, yeah. That's reflex. Reflexology. Yeah,
- 6:35Speaker 6: that's important. Chanel, thanks a lot for the hacks and
- 6:38Speaker 6: thanks for calling in.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Hey, no problem.
- 6:40Speaker 6: I love you guys.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 6:41Speaker 6: Have a great day.
- 6:42Speaker 3: You too.
