A truck driver named Chauncey Arthur Jenkins got three years in prison for reckless homicide after slamming into a vehicle at 100 mph — nearly double the 55 mph limit — killing 86-year-old Calvin Lee Beauford, owner of Beauford’s Logging Company. The crash, on April 12, 2022, could have been avoided if Jenkins hadn’t been speeding. Beauford died five days later. After a jury conviction, Judge Jennifer B.
