Two Indianapolis police officers are recovering after being shot during a tense nighttime call on East 37th Street—when a suspect allegedly opened fire, hitting both officers before being fatally shot by backup. The 21-year-old suspect, Dalys Scott Kohl Jett, was later pronounced dead. IMPD Chief Tanya Terry condemned the violence, honoring officers’ bravery and calling for community support.
