Speaker 1: Under the last administration, Sleepy Joe Biden and the radical
• 0:04
Speaker 1: left Democrats. I change in that it's dumb. I use it.
• 0:06
Speaker 1: I will probably always until they become reasonable. I'll lose
• 0:10
  Speaker 1: a you instead of a It's very simple. It's a
• 0:12
Speaker 1: very simple change. I take you out the eat and
• 0:14
Speaker 1: I put into you and the Democrats because their policies
• 0:18
  Speaker 1: are so dumb.
• 0:19
Speaker 2: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
• 0:22
Speaker 3: Good Friday morning. Nice to have you with us on
• 0:24
Speaker 3: the forty seven Morning Update. We've got one big story
• 0:27
Speaker 3: and it's a deep dive and to a guy by
• 0:30
Speaker 3: the name of James Tallarico. He is becoming the face
• 0:33
Speaker 3: of the Democratic Party in the midterm elections, running for
• 0:36
Speaker 3: office for Senate in Texas. So how dangerous is James
• 0:41
Speaker 3: Tallarico and what are the Democrats pushing. We've got all
• 0:44
Speaker 3: the details for you now. Before we get into that,
• 0:47
Speaker 3: I want to talk to you about Compassion International. I
• 0:50
Speaker 3: want you to pause what you're doing for just one minute,
• 0:53
Speaker 3: and I want you to hear about Alejandra. She lives
• 0:56
Speaker 3: in a remote community with very few resources and little
• 1:00
Speaker 3: to no healthcare. So when Alejandra gets sick. Her parents
• 1:04
Speaker 3: have no real options, no doctors in their community, and
• 1:08
Speaker 3: no money for real medical care. By the third day,
• 1:12
Speaker 3: her body was shutting down. She woke up and just
• 1:15
Speaker 3: long enough to tell her mom, I can't take the
• 1:19
Speaker 3: pain anymore. I can't keep going. Her parents drove hours
• 1:24
Speaker 3: to find a doctor who tried everything, but she needed
• 1:27
Speaker 3: a private hospital and that was impossible for her family
• 1:31
Speaker 3: to afford. And that is when Compassion International stepped in.
• 1:36
Speaker 3: Now through Compassion, Alejandra was treated and against all odds,
• 1:41
Speaker 3: she survived. She lived because someone just like you took action.
• 1:46
Speaker 3: Right now, Unfortunately, there are children just like Alejandra who
• 1:50
Speaker 3: won't survive unless someone like you steps in. Compassion International
• 1:55
Speaker 3: partners with local churches, providing children with the support that
• 1:59
Speaker 3: they need, critical medical care, plus food, education and the
• 2:05
Speaker 3: hope of the gospel, all in Jesus's name. So help
• 2:09
Speaker 3: a child just like Alejandra. Today you can visit Compassion
• 2:14
Speaker 3: dot com. That's Compassion dot com. It's the forty seven
• 2:19
Speaker 3: Morning Update and it starts right now.
• 2:21
  Speaker 2: Story number one.
• 2:22
Speaker 3: I want to introduce you to James tall Rico. Now,
• 2:26
Speaker 3: James tall Rico is a guy that wants you to
• 2:29
Speaker 3: believe that he is a faith based Christian pastor Texas moderate.
• 2:36
Speaker 3: All right, this is not who he actually is, and
• 2:39
Speaker 3: you need to know exactly what his record shows, and
• 2:42
Speaker 3: it's something very different. In fact, he is a hardcore
• 2:46
Speaker 3: radical progressive activist who actually uses Christianity as a vehicle
• 2:52
Speaker 3: for his left wing politics. And he's so extreme he's
• 2:56
Speaker 3: not even a moderate in California, much less Texas. Now.
• 3:00
Speaker 3: It's campaign site says he's a quote Presbyterian seminarian and
• 3:05
Speaker 3: that his faith leads him to quote reject Christian nationalism
• 3:10
Speaker 3: while supporting a democracy that protects people regardless of religion, race, gender,
• 3:16
Speaker 3: sexual orientation, and other offenses. Now, I got that from
• 3:20
Speaker 3: Tall Rico for Texas. So if you don't like what
• 3:24
Speaker 3: I just read for you, go read it there. You
• 3:25
Speaker 3: don't believe me, go read it there yourself. Now, let
• 3:29
Speaker 3: me just introduce you to some of the crazy things
• 3:31
Speaker 3: that he's actually said, and we're going to start at
• 3:33
Speaker 3: the top of the list for me, and that is well,
• 3:36
Speaker 3: this one really is number one. The guy who claims
• 3:39
Speaker 3: he's like this pastor said, and I'm quoting, God is
• 3:44
Speaker 3: non binary. Yeah, Tall Rico, the Democratic candidate in Texas
• 3:48
Speaker 3: for the Senate said, in my faith, God is non binary.
• 3:52
Speaker 3: He said it during debates over a Texas bill that
• 3:55
Speaker 3: required student athletes to compete according to biological set. That
• 4:01
Speaker 3: is now one of the most controversial statements of his career,
• 4:04
Speaker 3: as it's being reported by The New York Post. God
• 4:07
Speaker 3: is non binary because he wants to trans your kids.
• 4:11
Speaker 3: Number two, he actually argued that there are more than
• 4:16
Speaker 3: two biological sexes. Tall Rico said, quote, modern science obviously
• 4:23
Speaker 3: recognizes that there are many more than two biological sexes, adding,
• 4:28
Speaker 3: in fact, there are six. He tied that argument to
• 4:33
Speaker 3: rare chromosonial variations and said sex can be quote unquote
• 4:38
Speaker 3: a spectrum. So this dude does not believe in XOI
• 4:42
Speaker 3: chromosome chromosomes at all, Like he believes it like you
• 4:45
Speaker 3: can just make it up and be whatever you want
• 4:46
  Speaker 3: to be.
• 4:48
  Speaker 2: Uh.
• 4:48
Speaker 3: Then later he tried to clean it up. When he
• 4:51
Speaker 3: was confronted on CBS, tall Rico said, I know there
• 4:54
Speaker 3: are two sexes and admitted some of his past comments
• 4:58
Speaker 3: quote unquote missed the Now why is he saying that now? Well,
• 5:02
Speaker 3: because they're trying to make him a moderate to appeal
• 5:05
Speaker 3: to more voters in Texas. He also pushed very hard
• 5:10
Speaker 3: on transgender politics, and that's where many of his campaign
• 5:14
Speaker 3: contributions are coming from, that transgendered LGBTQI plus plus plus community.
• 5:20
Speaker 3: And you can highlight this from a twenty twenty one
• 5:23
Speaker 3: post saying and that his Texas House office added pronouns
• 5:29
Speaker 3: to the staff business cards as what he said was
• 5:32
Speaker 3: a quote small way to tell trans Texans you are
• 5:36
Speaker 3: welcome here. Now this is not a joke. So if
• 5:37
Speaker 3: you work for tall Rico and you had a business
• 5:40
Speaker 3: card and you're in the state legislature, they put your
• 5:42
Speaker 3: pronouns on there because he wanted to again say that
• 5:47
Speaker 3: trans Texans, you're welcome here. He also does something which
• 5:53
Speaker 3: I refer to as blasphemy. Tall Rico loves to remind
• 5:57
Speaker 3: you that he's a guy that went seminary. He loves
• 6:00
Speaker 3: reminds you that he is a elitist in his faith
• 6:03
Speaker 3: above you and what you would actually know. And he
• 6:06
Speaker 3: uses the Bible to defend progressive abortion politics. As just
• 6:11
Speaker 3: one example. Reporting on his past comments, tall Rico has
• 6:15
Speaker 3: suggested the Bible in fact affirms abortion access. Let me
• 6:20
Speaker 3: say that again. He says the Bible supports an affirms
• 6:23
Speaker 3: abortion access, and has argued for reproductive rights using religious language. Yeah,
• 6:30
Speaker 3: so he believes the Bible now says that abortion is
• 6:35
Speaker 3: appropriate and that you should use it, and that it's
• 6:38
Speaker 3: okay and that it's protected in the Bible. Now you
• 6:42
Speaker 3: may say, okay, this guy sounds pretty extreme. Well he is,
• 6:45
Speaker 3: but let me also explain to you what he thinks
• 6:48
Speaker 3: about his own religion. This just broke a few hours
• 6:51
Speaker 3: ago an audio recording of James tall Rico talking about
• 6:56
Speaker 3: his Christian faith. And listen to what he says in
• 6:59
  Speaker 3: his own words.
• 7:01
Speaker 4: Yeah, and that's you know, I always think of myself
• 7:04
Speaker 4: as a Christian who hates Christianity up right, and like
• 7:08
Speaker 4: I always get always get drop back into it.
• 7:11
Speaker 3: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, hold on, let's let's let's
• 7:13
Speaker 3: let's just rewind that. And I want to make sure
• 7:16
Speaker 3: you understand there was no editing done there. This is raw.
• 7:20
Speaker 3: This is a man that went seminary that once you
• 7:22
Speaker 3: believe is a passive preachers in churches that says that
• 7:24
Speaker 3: the Bible said it's okay for you to have an abortion,
• 7:27
Speaker 3: and it's advocating for it, and it's okay to trains
• 7:29
Speaker 3: your kid, and the Bible is non binary, and that
• 7:32
Speaker 3: there's there's six genders, and that God is non binary,
• 7:36
Speaker 3: and all of that comes down to again what he
• 7:39
Speaker 3: says about his own Christianity.
• 7:41
Speaker 4: Yeah, and that's you know, I always think of myself
• 7:44
Speaker 4: as a Christian who hates Christianity, up right, and like
• 7:48
Speaker 4: I always get always get drop back into it.
• 7:52
Speaker 3: Okay, so he gets re drawn back into it because
• 7:55
Speaker 3: I always sing of myself as a Christian who hates Christianity.
• 7:58
Speaker 3: By the way, if you look at what he said,
• 8:00
Speaker 3: I think we already knew this, but it is convenient
• 8:03
Speaker 3: to hear him actually say it out loud and actually
• 8:05
Speaker 3: admit it. By the way, that audio I'm going to
• 8:08
Speaker 3: repost right now on x you can follow me at
• 8:11
Speaker 3: Ben Ferguson's show, and you can share that everywhere in
• 8:15
Speaker 3: the world. So please do that. Now let's move on
• 8:19
Speaker 3: from there. He also then says, reporting on his past comments,
• 8:23
Speaker 3: Talarico suggested the Bible not only a firms abortion access
• 8:27
Speaker 3: and has argued for reproductive rights using religious language, as
• 8:30
Speaker 3: I mentioned a moment ago. But then he goes on
• 8:32
Speaker 3: to say that quote unquote, poverty is violence. Yes, pollution
• 8:38
Speaker 3: is violence, and yes prison is violence. He also said
• 8:42
Speaker 3: people don't belong in cages, a line critics say sounds
• 8:47
Speaker 3: a lot like, you know, being soft on crime, right,
• 8:49
Speaker 3: because he believes that you don't put someone in jail.
• 8:53
Speaker 3: It's a guy that is anti police, bail reform, prison reform.
• 8:57
Speaker 3: He doesn't believe that if you commit heinous crime, you
• 8:59
Speaker 3: should be behind ball arts. Now, all of this is
• 9:02
Speaker 3: inspired by his radical theology. Tall Rico has actually praised
• 9:09
Speaker 3: an individual described as a trans queer Latin X theologian,
• 9:15
Speaker 3: saying that the Henderson Espinosa his work challenged his worldview
• 9:23
Speaker 3: as a CIS white male. I'm just gonna let that
• 9:27
Speaker 3: marinate for a second. So he praises Roberto Henderson Espinosa.
• 9:32
Speaker 3: He describes his spiritual I guess mentor leader, whatever you
• 9:37
Speaker 3: want to call it, as a transque Latin X theologian,
• 9:42
Speaker 3: and he says the man's work challenges worldview as a
• 9:45
Speaker 3: CIS white male. Now, James call Rico, he wants Texas
• 9:50
Speaker 3: voters to see a quote moderate Christian democrat, but the
• 9:54
Speaker 3: record shows him saying God is non binary, that there
• 9:57
Speaker 3: are six biological sexes, that there are pronouns that must
• 10:01
Speaker 3: be on your business card in politics, especially that abortion
• 10:04
Speaker 3: theology is in the Bible that we shouldn't put human
• 10:08
Speaker 3: beings behind bars in cages. So let out all the
• 10:11
Speaker 3: prisoners and all the rapists and murderers and drug sellers,
• 10:16
Speaker 3: the fetanyl dealers that kill your kids. No, no, we don't
• 10:19
Speaker 3: put them in jail. And on top of that, you
• 10:21
Speaker 3: got to have radical social justice language in everything. There
• 10:25
Speaker 3: is nothing moderate about James tall Rico. This is a
• 10:29
Speaker 3: progressive seminary individual who then was put on a direct
• 10:35
Speaker 3: pipeline to power as a wolf in sheep's clothes, directly
• 10:42
Speaker 3: to the Senate pipeline for the radical left. This is
• 10:46
Speaker 3: packaging an AOC, packaging a Mundani, packaging, a newsome to
• 10:53
Speaker 3: try to turn a conservative state into one of the
• 10:56
Speaker 3: most radical states in America by doing what I just
• 10:59
Speaker 3: said about James Talerico. Now you've got to ask yourself
• 11:02
Speaker 3: this question, why is it that a lot of what
• 11:05
Speaker 3: I just said, especially if you're not really diving into
• 11:08
Speaker 3: this stuff on social media? Why is it that the
• 11:11
Speaker 3: media isn't covering this, Like the number of people that
• 11:15
Speaker 3: are not covering what he said about his faith Christianity,
• 11:18
Speaker 3: Like this is so extreme, it's not mainstream at all. Okay,
• 11:21
Speaker 3: I want to play it one more time, because it's
• 11:23
Speaker 3: a really important point. If you are claiming your christian
• 11:26
Speaker 3: this is what you believe about your Christianity. How is
• 11:28
Speaker 3: this not a leading headline news story in America today?
• 11:33
Speaker 4: You know, I always think of myself as a Christian
• 11:35
Speaker 4: who hates Christianity up right, and like I always get
• 11:39
Speaker 4: always get drumped back into it.
• 11:42
Speaker 3: By the way, why would you be a Christian that
• 11:44
Speaker 3: hates Christianity? Is it because you actually hate what Christianity teaches? Right?
• 11:49
Speaker 3: I mean you're self describing yourself. In an interview with
• 11:52
Speaker 3: a self described transqueer activist theologian, tall Rico says he
• 11:56
Speaker 3: hates Christianity that is not mainstream, that is not normal.
• 12:01
Speaker 3: I also think it's interesting and if you go back
• 12:03
Speaker 3: to the war on whiteness, I think that's a good
• 12:06
Speaker 3: way of putting it. James Tallerico claims his identity as
• 12:09
Speaker 3: a white man limits what's possible and then blames it
• 12:13
Speaker 3: on his sis, I the identity. Listen carefully, this is
• 12:18
Speaker 3: again James and his own.
• 12:19
Speaker 4: Words started following me on Twitter. I you know, couldn't
• 12:24
Speaker 4: contain my uh my inner fan boy, because I have
• 12:29
Speaker 4: read your book last year and it continues to inspire me,
• 12:33
Speaker 4: and y'all's work continues to inspire me. I told you
• 12:35
Speaker 4: I was boring straight Sis white man, and then I
• 12:37
Speaker 4: added Presbyterian to spice it up. My imagination is also
• 12:41
Speaker 4: just limited by my own my own background and identity, right,
• 12:45
Speaker 4: my own my whiteness, my masculinity, all those things limited
• 12:48
Speaker 4: my imagination about what's possible. And that's where you know,
• 12:52
Speaker 4: doctor Robber, your book helps me do that. I always think.
• 12:55
Speaker 3: Of myself wow, well wow, Like all I can say
• 12:59
Speaker 3: on this is wow. He goes on to then say,
• 13:02
Speaker 3: after that the part about I always think of myself
• 13:05
Speaker 3: as a Christian who hates Christianity, and I always get
• 13:07
Speaker 3: drawn back into it. This clearly, to me, seems like
• 13:13
Speaker 3: this is an individual that truly hates not only Christianity,
• 13:18
Speaker 3: but hates his country. Right. I mean, this is the
• 13:22
Speaker 3: guy who says he hates Christians, he hates Christianity, right
• 13:26
Speaker 3: and and and I and and apparently he reads a
• 13:30
Speaker 3: very different, very different Bible. Let me also remind you
• 13:35
Speaker 3: what the Senate Democrats had to say about this guy.
• 13:38
Speaker 3: They put this out. He was sitting there with James
• 13:40
Speaker 3: Carvel and some other whack job and and and I
• 13:43
Speaker 3: want to hear what James tall Rico says in this interview.
• 13:47
Speaker 5: And that oplies to Muslims and Hindus. Listen, I have
• 13:51
Speaker 5: this is you know, they can learn a lot of
• 13:53
  Speaker 5: things I U.
• 13:54
  Speaker 4: I have met.
• 13:55
Speaker 5: I have met so many Hindus, Buddhists, seek Jews, most
• 14:00
Speaker 5: Lung's atheist agnostics who are more christ Like than some
• 14:03
Speaker 5: of the Christians I serve with in the text of legislature.
• 14:06
Speaker 3: Wow, that is how much sustain this dude has for Christians.
