- 4:37Speaker 1: we're looking into it.
- 4:39Speaker 3: But it does.
- 4:39Speaker 1: It always makes my heart a little said. I'm like, oh,
- 4:41Speaker 1: somebody struggling to get merch at they ordered a while back.
- 4:44Speaker 4: The tough thing is they they correctly and correctly whatever
- 4:47Speaker 4: think that. It's like me sherman chef packaging up the items.
- 4:50Speaker 4: So there was a note that somebody came through is like,
- 4:52Speaker 4: I just want to know which one to mess up
- 4:55Speaker 4: Mother's Day And it was a joke.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Obviously kill me. I said sure, because I did that promise.
- 5:00Speaker 2: I said, any Mother's Day stuff that arrived late. I
- 5:04Speaker 2: jumped in the comments of that. One guy who's like, sure,
- 5:06Speaker 2: mom's on on my back. I need your help, I said,
- 5:10Speaker 2: Missus blank, he ordered it on time. He did not
- 5:13Speaker 2: he ordered it like a week late. He ordered it
- 5:16Speaker 2: on time, and we are so sorry. That's on us.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Yeah, that's on us. That's on us. That's on us. Dude.
- 5:22Speaker 3: Let's dive in. You had you moved in this weekend.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I saw that Jilly Bean was kind of saying, you
- 5:30Speaker 1: didn't get the story right last week on the Mother's
- 5:32Speaker 1: Day episode.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Didn't get the story right.
- 5:34Speaker 1: You had people in the comments kind of like, hey,
- 5:36Speaker 1: go easy on the boys, shrom oh give it me.
- 5:39Speaker 1: At one point in the episode, I'm like, my guy's
- 5:41Speaker 1: just taking.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Shot after shot. The guys were rallying to my defense.
- 5:46Speaker 2: They were rallying to my defense.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Also grinning in my head because I'm like, oh, we're
- 5:51Speaker 1: for sure going to happen. After an after POW report
- 5:55Speaker 1: from the missus, of.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Course, and I will say this, she we had a
- 5:59Speaker 2: great APR session. It was quick and to the point.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Yeah, there was no.
- 6:06Speaker 2: She did not hit me.
- 6:07Speaker 3: Say sweat, just slap me.
- 6:08Speaker 2: I truly I was like, if that is what for
- 6:12Speaker 2: us to move past this, what do we need do
- 6:15Speaker 2: you need to punch me in the face.
- 6:16Speaker 3: She said, no, nothing like that.
- 6:19Speaker 2: I just want the world to know that I did
- 6:21Speaker 2: not ask for a fancy dinner and a massage. I
- 6:24Speaker 2: only asked for a massage. I said that you did, honey,
- 6:28Speaker 2: that you did. And I will gladly take that APR
- 6:31Speaker 2: and I will bring it back to the podcast and
- 6:34Speaker 2: I will say Jilly Bean did not ask for a
- 6:37Speaker 2: fancy dinner. That was Shirm's idea. She did not ask
- 6:40Speaker 2: for balloons in a card either, that was Shirm's idea.
- 6:42Speaker 2: She just asked for a massage. And now that we're passed,
- 6:47Speaker 2: just to be clear, Just to be clear, now that
- 6:50Speaker 2: we're past that, we're all good. I also I got
- 6:53Speaker 2: some callbacks. Blue Collar worker on YouTube had a great
- 6:58Speaker 2: idea of an ultimate and fix it for this situation.
- 7:02Speaker 2: He basically just said, sureman, you got a surpriser. What
- 7:04Speaker 2: they make do a make good Mother's Day? Just hit
- 7:09Speaker 2: Jilly Bean with a little surprise Mother's Day, just day,
- 7:12Speaker 2: Today's buy you baby?
- 7:13Speaker 3: Come on, And I said, dude.
- 7:15Speaker 2: That's every day, not really, not even close, not even close.
- 7:21Speaker 2: And then Jacob Foolsby six one four four on YouTube
- 7:26Speaker 2: basically just showered us with love, which was very kind
- 7:29Speaker 2: of him, but he broke down the fact that one
- 7:32Speaker 2: minute in the pod, I'm hanging from trees in the
- 7:34Speaker 2: backyard because I'm pissed because I fucked up Mother's Day too.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Then us sharing tears about loved ones that have passed too,
- 7:42Speaker 2: then us talking about game to a person that had
- 7:46Speaker 2: to love one pass and he was like, this pod
- 7:48Speaker 2: has everything.
- 7:49Speaker 1: It's got everything, got everything you need. I have a
- 7:51Speaker 1: couple of year. One from William Volk on Spotify. One
- 7:53Speaker 1: of the best sodes ever, referred to last week's episode.
- 7:56Speaker 1: I had me pissing my pants, laughing at the beginning
- 7:58Speaker 1: and tears at the end. Man, I love this spot
- 8:00Speaker 1: in the whole PT six community. Shout out the PT
- 8:03Speaker 1: six community. Another one here from jinj crying along with
- 8:05Speaker 1: the boys in an office full of women.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Good, good, good, Hey. That will give you some browning points.
- 8:12Speaker 2: You'd be surprised. What's what's what's going on? What's going on? Ging?
- 8:17Speaker 3: What's I just don't it? Don't boys?
- 8:20Speaker 2: Man? Yeah, just say the boys and leave it as
- 8:25Speaker 2: ambiguous as possible, and they're gonna be like, oh my god,
- 8:28Speaker 2: he's going through it.
- 8:29Speaker 3: You may even get some responsibilities taken off.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Your plate away, there's two guys on the screen. What
- 8:34Speaker 1: do you what could you possibly be listening to? And
- 8:36Speaker 1: then it's making you cry fertility.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Oh, come here, come here, you get like four hugs. Yeah,
- 8:47Speaker 2: very great story from Ballet weekend. Yeah, what what is
- 8:52Speaker 2: the story from Ballet? And then honestly, we didn't even
- 8:56Speaker 2: touch on it in the pre production notes. I gotta
- 8:59Speaker 2: hear about this h VA dude. Oh, I got to
- 9:01Speaker 2: hear about this pasty off. It's the morning time, it's
- 9:05Speaker 2: right now, it's Tuesday, May nineteenth.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I was having some good vibes and now you want
- 9:10Speaker 1: to make me think about last night when the hvact's dripping.
- 9:13Speaker 2: But I want you to hear this because the comment
- 9:16Speaker 2: section was the same, and I want you to know
- 9:18Speaker 2: that I am on the side of the comment section
- 9:21Speaker 2: that you're getting fucked. You are getting fucked. This is
- 9:25Speaker 2: not your fault. No one's coming to save you. No
- 9:28Speaker 2: one's coming to save you but you. This is not
- 9:30Speaker 2: your fault.
- 9:31Speaker 1: So the the HVAC was dripping, it was leaking. Yeah,
- 9:36Speaker 1: charl was in Charles in Scotti's room. She was doing
- 9:39Speaker 1: Scotty last night. I was doing rue, She's getting Scottie
- 9:41Speaker 1: ready for bed, and all of a sudden she's back
- 9:45Speaker 1: in the little HVAC room, like, sweetheart, what's going on?
- 9:48Speaker 1: Scott Zilla is like running back there and I'm like, well,
- 9:50Speaker 1: it's going She's like do you see this? And just
- 9:52Speaker 1: the h fact is just dripping and the water pan
- 9:56Speaker 1: is like halfway halfway full, it's filled up halfway, and
- 10:01Speaker 1: I'm like.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Dude, what the fuck is going on? Yeah?
- 10:03Speaker 1: Obviously, like what was it? A few weeks ago, a
- 10:05Speaker 1: month ago, my ice one, we had a situation where
- 10:08Speaker 1: we need to like order a part. I think it
- 10:10Speaker 1: was a compressor. I don't know what it is.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Don't don't, don't correct you. Yeah, I remember we were
- 10:14Speaker 3: out of the house.
- 10:16Speaker 1: We were out of air conditioning upstairs for like for
- 10:18Speaker 1: a week because we had to they had to order
- 10:20Speaker 1: the part.
- 10:20Speaker 2: We had to wait for the part to come in.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Okay, it was supposed to be Monday, then it was Tuesday,
- 10:24Speaker 1: then it was Wednesday when it got fixed. Fortunately, Like
- 10:27Speaker 1: it wasn't like it was hot, like it was like
- 10:30Speaker 1: around eighty at the highest.
- 10:32Speaker 3: But you know how it gets stuffy upstairs.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Yeah, but this time when it's when it's dripping, and
- 10:37Speaker 1: I'm you know, your boy, I'm jumping on Google like, hey,
- 10:40Speaker 1: h vac's dripping right now, what's going on?
- 10:42Speaker 2: What do I need to do?
- 10:43Speaker 1: Yeah, it's telling me that, uh, I need to shut
- 10:47Speaker 1: it off immediately because it could be the air filters,
- 10:50Speaker 1: it could be clogged, some system could be failing, and
- 10:55Speaker 1: it's like, son of a bit, Shoot, we're not turning
- 10:57Speaker 1: the HVAC off. Like, we just got to get down
- 11:00Speaker 1: because Charli, we were looking at it and it was dripping,
- 11:01Speaker 1: and then I just made the call. I'm like, let's
- 11:04Speaker 1: put the kids down, rendezvous after we get the kids down,
- 11:06Speaker 1: because no matter what, we got to get the kids
- 11:08Speaker 1: to bed.
- 11:09Speaker 3: Let's sit here and solve the problem.
- 11:10Speaker 2: They're away.
- 11:11Speaker 3: We're just gonna want to start fixing it or help
- 11:13Speaker 3: be helpful, which's the best. But let's get the kids
- 11:16Speaker 3: to bed. Then we'll we'll figure out a game plan.
- 11:21Speaker 1: So we get done with bedtime and we're trying to
- 11:23Speaker 1: figure out, like we we're gonna shoes, like should we
- 11:25Speaker 1: just leave it dripping? I'm like, I mean the way
- 11:26Speaker 1: it's dripping, it seemed like this is there's been an
- 11:28Speaker 1: issue for like at least twenty four hours, so we'll
- 11:31Speaker 1: be able to make it through the night. We just
- 11:33Speaker 1: got to figure out a way to get water out
- 11:35Speaker 1: of it, because it was like halfway the pan was
- 11:37Speaker 1: like halfway filled. Charo heads the Lows goes and gets
- 11:43Speaker 1: one of them vacuums. It's like a dry wet vacuum.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Good because I came downstairs and as like I was
- 11:48Speaker 1: putting rude down, I came downstairs. Charles wasn't in their eyes.
- 11:51Speaker 1: You might have been back in the closet or something.
- 11:53Speaker 1: But I started researching, like what can we do? And
- 11:55Speaker 1: I've seen that you can get like one of these
- 11:56Speaker 1: vacuums to start sucking the water out. And Charles already
- 12:00Speaker 1: headed to the to the coat rack. She's like, I'm
- 12:02Speaker 1: gonna I'm gonna head the lows. I'm gonna go get
- 12:04Speaker 1: this vacuum. Like, oh shit, all right, do you want
- 12:08Speaker 1: me to go now?
- 12:08Speaker 3: You can stay? All right? I mean, I am the
- 12:11Speaker 3: man of the house, but if you want to, I
- 12:12Speaker 3: guess there's a basketball and I can watch it. You
- 12:15Speaker 3: know what, I I'll watch the monitors, I'll watch the kids.
- 12:22Speaker 3: She goes, does that she brings back this vacuum or
- 12:25Speaker 3: upstairs and she's doing the vacuum. I'm like, hey, do
- 12:29Speaker 3: you want me to do it? She's like, I kind
- 12:30Speaker 3: of want to see how it works.
- 12:31Speaker 2: All right, Yeah, you got it.
- 12:33Speaker 3: You do your thing, you got on your tool belt.
- 12:35Speaker 1: No, but we uh we end up emptying like fifteen
- 12:42Speaker 1: to eighteen gallons of water. But that's making me feel like, Okay,
- 12:46Speaker 1: we're gonna easily make it through the night because this
- 12:48Speaker 1: is a massive like water pan up under the up
- 12:51Speaker 1: under the HVAC system and it seems like there's a
- 12:56Speaker 1: pipe that's clogged.
- 12:58Speaker 3: Oh good, because that Yeah, great, dude, it's awesome. Again.
- 13:01Speaker 1: It goes back to it just pisses me off that
- 13:04Speaker 1: we have a new construction, new house, new products everywhere,
- 13:09Speaker 1: and it's like this HVAC system has had a few
- 13:12Speaker 1: different issues now, and it's like, yo, I just want
- 13:16Speaker 1: this new, brand new product that's in a house that
- 13:18Speaker 1: was built in twenty twenty six.
- 13:21Speaker 3: I want this product that fits.
- 13:22Speaker 1: The world of twenty twenty six to have out all
- 13:24Speaker 1: the goddamn kinks and it just fucking work.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Can I get you read? And I I just hey,
- 13:33Speaker 3: I also I tell you you got well.
- 13:35Speaker 2: I text my wife.
- 13:36Speaker 1: I said I text her day at nine eighteen in
- 13:37Speaker 1: the morning, it seems like the pipes could be clogged
- 13:39Speaker 1: for the HVAG and she just put haha, you think
- 13:42Speaker 1: question mark oky. Then she put a lot sorry, She said,
- 13:47Speaker 1: the company is claiming that it's our fault for lack
- 13:50Speaker 1: of maintenance. Oh, bel you just had somebody out here
- 13:54Speaker 1: not too long ago. What do you mean it's our
- 13:56Speaker 1: fault for maintenance it when you came out? Where did
- 13:59Speaker 1: you buy the house? We got moved in in February.
- 14:03Speaker 1: You haven't even been there for April May. It's been
- 14:06Speaker 1: three months.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Aren't you maintaining your age back and I change filters
- 14:10Speaker 2: on that thing? Why aren't you maintaining your brand new
- 14:14Speaker 2: h back? You know you have to go up there
- 14:16Speaker 2: every day.
- 14:17Speaker 3: You know that, right?
- 14:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess so it's an everyday.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Thing because one of the filters is under the house,
- 14:23Speaker 1: in the HVAC unit below the house.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Oh good, good, it's perfect. I read all read that
- 14:30Speaker 2: comment from the pt fix.
- 14:32Speaker 3: Community pt fix.
- 14:34Speaker 1: I'll say this pt fixers or on it last I'm talking.
- 14:38Speaker 1: I'm getting DMS on getting text messages.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Are not messing around, They're not messing everybody's a house
- 14:44Speaker 3: builder in the comments that you took.
- 14:45Speaker 2: By the way, buddy, this is my favorite one. I'm
- 14:48Speaker 2: gonna read it in a PT fix voice or my
- 14:52Speaker 2: idea of a PT fix voice. Your builder, did you
- 14:55Speaker 2: dirty man? That mechanical closet, crappy Goodman equipment with silicon
- 15:00Speaker 2: off from hell flex nut work all over the place,
- 15:03Speaker 2: no wet switch.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Just throw the whole house.
- 15:05Speaker 2: What I saw that comment, Just throw the throw.
- 15:11Speaker 3: The whole house the house man.
- 15:15Speaker 2: But as he is laying out some more stuff.
- 15:19Speaker 5: Do you know me?
- 15:20Speaker 1: I don't know what a room in all duct tape
- 15:23Speaker 1: and ship's supposed to look like. Yeah, so I'm reading
- 15:26Speaker 1: in I'm like ship did did this?
- 15:29Speaker 3: Did the builder or whoever? Did they get over on
- 15:31Speaker 3: us with this half assed job?
- 15:33Speaker 2: That blue tape walk through that you were telling me
- 15:36Speaker 2: about where you go through and you mark stuff. If
- 15:38Speaker 2: we had had h back barclay on.
- 15:41Speaker 1: That's that's that's on X right, that one's on X.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's just apparently that's a dad hack for
- 15:51Speaker 2: the future is get your buddy come home HVAC tech
- 15:55Speaker 2: or whatever he is, you fix it guy, and have
- 15:57Speaker 2: him come with the blue tape walk through on your
- 16:01Speaker 2: final looks and all that and just have them pick
- 16:03Speaker 2: it apart.
- 16:05Speaker 6: I was about to say the culprit, we might need
- 16:07Speaker 6: star lutus. Whoever inspected your house before you guys know
- 16:11Speaker 6: you need it's Oh, people don't go hard enough on
- 16:14Speaker 6: the inspection. You need to find the most nitpicky person.
- 16:16Speaker 6: I don't even know who. And I've been told this
- 16:19Speaker 6: many times.
- 16:19Speaker 2: What sucks is I.
- 16:20Speaker 3: Feel like we had a great team. Y'all did were
- 16:24Speaker 3: people we worked with, y'all were on it. But now
- 16:27Speaker 3: that we're having these issues, I'm just like, and I
- 16:30Speaker 3: said in the video, I hate that.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Oh you know it's new construction. Yeah, yeah, this is calm,
- 16:35Speaker 2: this is common, this is done common, this happens.
- 16:37Speaker 3: And I'm thinking, oh, bullshit on that man. It's twenty
- 16:40Speaker 3: twenty six.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Hey, there there are people that make millions of dollars
- 16:44Speaker 2: for picking apart Lebron James and Michael Jordan every day.
- 16:47Speaker 2: I knew on TV hey that that system could be
- 16:51Speaker 2: the perfect system.
- 16:53Speaker 3: What the way you got the flex we're going on?
- 16:54Speaker 2: There? No whit sweet?
- 16:57Speaker 3: What the hey?
- 16:57Speaker 1: And that I could tell me whatever they want to say. Yeah,
- 17:00Speaker 1: I'm like, oh shit, yeah I hear you.
- 17:01Speaker 6: Yeah, imagine the the like Stephen A Smith of Inspecting
- 17:06Speaker 6: World is just some bubba from you know, like Portland, Tennessee.
- 17:11Speaker 6: He gets flown out of ah non on out.
- 17:14Speaker 3: The trust on here, I get new ship money.
- 17:16Speaker 2: You got a wet sweitch.
- 17:22Speaker 3: Frozen coils and shit.
- 17:24Speaker 4: So Chase Daniel NFL quarterbacks said, frozen coils one thousand percent.
- 17:27Speaker 4: Got a company to come change the filters every quarter
- 17:29Speaker 4: of the year, so worth it.
- 17:31Speaker 1: I saw the quarterly maintenance, which it seems like that's
- 17:35Speaker 1: what uh my wife is getting set up as like
- 17:38Speaker 1: a quarterly maintenance thing.
- 17:40Speaker 3: Somebody we know too.
- 17:41Speaker 4: There is a funny element of like even millionaire x
- 17:45Speaker 4: NFL athletes have HVAC issues.
- 17:48Speaker 3: That is a common threat I find very funny.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Well, and you have a whole different type of HVAC
- 17:56Speaker 2: issue in that you have multiple tubes, you got multiple
- 18:01Speaker 2: probably HVAC systems for your house. There is a lot
- 18:05Speaker 2: that can go wrong with your h VAC unit. So
- 18:08Speaker 2: we are all new to this game. This is why
- 18:11Speaker 2: we lean on pt fix.
- 18:14Speaker 1: We lean and you just lean on that the builders
- 18:18Speaker 1: that people putting that stuff together, Like we all know
- 18:21Speaker 1: what the goal is, Hey, I know, build a house
- 18:24Speaker 1: that can't break.
- 18:25Speaker 2: If the kids ain't sleeping, nothing else is going right.
- 18:29Speaker 2: You said it earlier in the story our first move
- 18:33Speaker 2: in day Scarlet, we might as well have taken her
- 18:36Speaker 2: to a wet cave filled with torture devices inside of it.
- 18:39Speaker 3: She was like, where the hell am I and y'all
- 18:41Speaker 3: been around? Scarlet?
- 18:43Speaker 2: She is, so why look happy, go lucky? She's looking
- 18:47Speaker 2: around this house and we set her in her nursery
- 18:50Speaker 2: where it's like enough is recognizable to her, like grib
- 18:54Speaker 2: some some of the same photos on the wall are
- 18:56Speaker 2: changing table smart, but the walls aren't pink. They don't
- 18:59Speaker 2: have her ribbons, wear are her books. And she truly
- 19:02Speaker 2: looks around, just starts yeah, because it's new, it's a
- 19:07Speaker 2: it's a new space. She was mortified, and she slept.
- 19:12Speaker 2: This is not a oh Sherman is just you know,
- 19:15Speaker 2: embellishing for the story. She slept two hours the first
- 19:19Speaker 2: night in the house. Good did we have to move
- 19:22Speaker 2: the next day as well?
- 19:24Speaker 3: Of course we did, good Man, good? And if the
- 19:28Speaker 3: kids great story. Yeah, if the kids ain't sleeping, nothing
- 19:31Speaker 3: is going right.
- 19:32Speaker 1: I don't think anybody would assume that you're embellishing. If
- 19:34Speaker 1: you're was she nine months ten ten month old. Yeah,
- 19:39Speaker 1: only got two.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Hours of sleep because they're in a they're in a
- 19:41Speaker 3: different spot.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Get yeah, you want dad hack, Get ready for that
- 19:45Speaker 2: one a year even with the little one.
- 19:47Speaker 3: Yeah, not expected.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Just in general too, uh just dad game, dad hack whatever.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Even when you're just doing like a little staycation or
- 19:56Speaker 1: you're gone away for a weekend, or you're just somewhere new,
- 19:59Speaker 1: it's a bring bring whatever stuff he's bring as much
- 20:02Speaker 1: as you can to make it feel like it's environment.
- 20:04Speaker 3: Obviously there'll be in.
- 20:05Speaker 1: A pack and play or Criblet's say you're at a hotel,
- 20:08Speaker 1: but if you're in a hotel, you're kind of in
- 20:10Speaker 1: the same room, but somewhere where you're hopeful as parents
- 20:13Speaker 1: that oh, hey, like for us, it's like, hey, we
- 20:15Speaker 1: can have Scottie sleep in here. Yeah, and then you're
- 20:18Speaker 1: kind of just hopeful that the new environment isn't going
- 20:21Speaker 1: to freak her out at nighttime to where they're just
- 20:22Speaker 1: like scared or nervous or whatever's going through their going
- 20:25Speaker 1: through the little brains.
- 20:27Speaker 3: And you're totally right.
- 20:28Speaker 2: Once we got her play and she is upgraded from
- 20:31Speaker 2: a playpin to a playroom. She now has her own
- 20:35Speaker 2: nice playroom, and once the playroom was set up the
- 20:39Speaker 2: next day with all the baby gates and stuff, We're
- 20:42Speaker 2: back and all.
- 20:43Speaker 3: The familiar toys and books. We're game. So back.
- 20:47Speaker 2: She's sitting all of her favorite toys and getting the
- 20:49Speaker 2: music going, and she's doing the new this is her
- 20:52Speaker 2: new shake dance, and she's she's back in.
- 20:57Speaker 3: We're good. Scarlet's back, Scarlet back.
- 21:00Speaker 2: I digress because I totally cut you off from your
- 21:03Speaker 2: ballet story.
- 21:05Speaker 3: I told the HVAC story. I know I had to talk.
- 21:07Speaker 3: I'm gonna get into the ballet story no matter what. Okay, good,
- 21:10Speaker 3: So do you want to finish the moving moving weekend?
- 21:13Speaker 2: No, I want to hear about bot take a break.
- 21:15Speaker 3: We want to go to ballet. I want to go
- 21:17Speaker 3: to ballet.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Okay, Saturday morning ballet recital day. Apparently in the ballet world,
- 21:24Speaker 1: you know, Rue is four years old. So I'm like
- 21:27Speaker 1: getting game from Charles's dad, Like, hey, you were in
- 21:29Speaker 1: this life. Like is this like if they get older
- 21:32Speaker 1: and they love ballet? Is this like with us in
- 21:35Speaker 1: baseball or any sport in the spring and summertime? Is
- 21:38Speaker 1: this like an every weekend occurrence where I'm going to
- 21:41Speaker 1: have to go to recitals every weekend. He's liked, Oh no, no, no,
- 21:43Speaker 1: it's especially when they're young. It'll be about once a year,
- 21:47Speaker 1: maybe twice, like when Charles started to get in competitive
- 21:49Speaker 1: dance or competitive ballet, and most they would do about.
- 21:53Speaker 3: This was, uh, this was my father in law's words.
- 21:55Speaker 1: If my my wife is listening right now, who knows,
- 21:57Speaker 1: maybe she did more, but he said, you're most going
- 21:59Speaker 1: to hit about three.
- 22:00Speaker 3: I'm like, okay, any bad? Yeah, because I remember as
- 22:02Speaker 3: a high schooler.
- 22:03Speaker 1: You know, if your boy he's got a girlfriend, it
- 22:06Speaker 1: felt like he was going to recitals all the time.
- 22:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Maybe it's different, who knows. Maybe there's a different world
- 22:10Speaker 1: where their seasons and those are like the bowl game.
- 22:13Speaker 2: If I understand this correctly, I would say that those
- 22:15Speaker 2: are the bowl games and ballet practice where they're learning
- 22:20Speaker 2: all their stuff for the recitals. That's the regular season.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:23Speaker 1: So I'm starting to get the lay of the land
- 22:25Speaker 1: because I want to, you know, I got to embrace
- 22:27Speaker 1: the ballet fatherhood. Yeah, you know what I mean, whether
- 22:30Speaker 1: or whether I want to be in it or not.
- 22:31Speaker 1: I love watching Rue get in at her ballet dress
- 22:34Speaker 1: and just be so happy to where it's like, oh,
- 22:36Speaker 1: I'm buying into what my daughter loves and enjoys. Did
- 22:38Speaker 1: I imagine that I'd be a ballet dead before I
- 22:40Speaker 1: was a father? Absolutely?
- 22:41Speaker 3: Not like I'm old.
- 22:42Speaker 1: I can't wait till she's old enough to hopefully play
- 22:44Speaker 1: flight football, come on, But right now I'm a ballet dad.
- 22:48Speaker 3: So it was Saturday morning.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Charles got to take Rude to go drop her off
- 22:52Speaker 1: because this is Rue's first ballet recital without dancing with
- 22:55Speaker 1: with mom. Last year, three years old, when she did
- 22:58Speaker 1: the recital, they go out with mom. Mom is out
- 23:00Speaker 1: there with her while they're doing it. So it's Rue's
- 23:02Speaker 1: first recital on stage, you know, in front of people,
- 23:06Speaker 1: and based on a couple of weeks ago when she
- 23:08Speaker 1: was a flower girl at the wedding and she cried.
- 23:10Speaker 1: She ended up being brave and having the courage to
- 23:12Speaker 1: walk down the aisle, but she was crying and kind
- 23:15Speaker 1: of got like maybe a little bit of stage fright. Yeah,
- 23:18Speaker 1: So I'm like, man, I hope I hope her was
- 23:20Speaker 1: locked in. I hope she's ready to go. I hope
- 23:22Speaker 1: she has the most fun. So it's just me and Scottie.
- 23:24Speaker 1: I'm getting Scotti ready we're having fun together. We're playing,
- 23:27Speaker 1: I'm making a breakfast, We're doing all this stuff. Because
- 23:29Speaker 1: we got to go at at like ten or ten
- 23:33Speaker 1: thirty head over to ballet because I'm thinking in my head, Okay,
- 23:35Speaker 1: it's just me and Scottie. I don't want to hit
- 23:37Speaker 1: up my wife all the time to let her know,
- 23:38Speaker 1: like where I need to be, what time this that
- 23:40Speaker 1: the other? She gave me all the parking instruction instructions
- 23:42Speaker 1: for the parking garage.
- 23:43Speaker 3: What's pregame recital meal? Look like?
- 23:47Speaker 1: Uh it was saturday. Rue is looking at yogurt and strawberries.
- 23:54Speaker 1: A lot bit simple, keep it a lot bit light,
- 23:56Speaker 1: keep a little bit light, get enough protein, you get
- 23:58Speaker 1: your fruit in there. Yeah, but yo good and strawberries okay, good, good, good,
- 24:02Speaker 1: And dude, she was fired up.
- 24:04Speaker 2: I mean she looked gorgeous.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Bro.
- 24:06Speaker 1: She had a mom put on a little makeup on
- 24:08Speaker 1: her for the first time, so she so she get
- 24:11Speaker 1: the experience.
- 24:11Speaker 3: I mean, ballet.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Bun was tightened right like yeah, yeah, yeah, because mom
- 24:15Speaker 1: was a competitive dancer growing up.
- 24:17Speaker 3: So mom has just always been on when it comes
- 24:19Speaker 3: to balat. Yeah, she's dialed in. But Rue looks phenomenal. Dude,
- 24:24Speaker 3: she's excited, ready to go.
- 24:25Speaker 1: They leave, Scotty and I have fun and we leave
- 24:27Speaker 1: around ten or ten thirty to start going there. Because
- 24:29Speaker 1: I'm thinking, Okay, I remember last year was pretty packed,
- 24:32Speaker 1: It's going to be packed this year. I need to go.
- 24:35Speaker 1: I need to go early, like I need to just
- 24:37Speaker 1: need to buy in and figure out. I need to
- 24:39Speaker 1: find my way as a father, as a ballet Good. Well,
- 24:42Speaker 1: let's go. Let's get Scottie out of the house early.
- 24:44Speaker 1: We'll go and get in line so we can have
- 24:45Speaker 1: a seat. Early bird, dude, early bird. Turns out I
- 24:50Speaker 1: didn't have to do that because Charle when she drops
- 24:52Speaker 1: her off, I'm thinking Charles in the backstage like working
- 24:55Speaker 1: with her, like doing all this stuff up until ballet
- 24:57Speaker 1: recital time. But Charles just dropping her off was by herself.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Mom is just reading. She just had to spot getting
- 25:03Speaker 1: some mom time, man, which was great. I just didn't
- 25:05Speaker 1: know because I'm thinking I need to get earlier. I
- 25:08Speaker 1: need to get in line, like I need to show that, like, Hey,
- 25:10Speaker 1: I'm on top of it.
- 25:12Speaker 3: You don't have to hit me up. Hey, when are
- 25:13Speaker 3: you gonna get here?
- 25:13Speaker 2: Or you hear yet?
- 25:14Speaker 3: Yes, she's already there. And in line.
- 25:16Speaker 2: And best part about you getting there early is even
- 25:19Speaker 2: though you didn't have to benus points, we're here.
- 25:21Speaker 3: Yeah, we're here.
- 25:22Speaker 1: And again for new ballet fathers like, I'm just I'm
- 25:26Speaker 1: learning this game on the run. I get there, get
- 25:29Speaker 1: through a Scottie. We were on the phone with each other,
- 25:32Speaker 1: and then I'm like, hey, I gotta go into the
- 25:33Speaker 1: Vali that was that morning.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Oh yeah, okay, So I in there with Scotty.
- 25:37Speaker 1: I got the backpack on like all the Scottie's like snacks,
- 25:41Speaker 1: everything that we need to be successful at this recital. Yeah,
- 25:45Speaker 1: and dude, I turned the corner. Here's a dad hack
- 25:48Speaker 1: that you know. I turned the corner. Once we get
- 25:51Speaker 1: inside the theater, there's a flower shop station set.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Up, and I'm like, son of a bitch, I forgot
- 25:58Speaker 2: to get flowers because you.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Always get your daughter, you do, yeah, you always want
- 26:02Speaker 1: to get her flowers for recital.
- 26:04Speaker 3: Then yeah, so then it clicks. I'm like, thank god
- 26:06Speaker 3: there's a flower shop here because I forgot.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Yes.
- 26:10Speaker 1: So I walk over to the stand and I'm like, hey,
- 26:12Speaker 1: are these for sale? They're like, oh no, you had
- 26:14Speaker 1: the pre order them on oh pre ordered God? Dad's
- 26:17Speaker 1: dad hack. Pre order the flowers. If you don't pick
- 26:21Speaker 1: them up on the way. Pre order the flowers.
- 26:23Speaker 2: They're already.
- 26:23Speaker 3: They're already they were, they will already be there and
- 26:26Speaker 3: ready to go.
- 26:26Speaker 2: You know what my dad would have done right then
- 26:28Speaker 2: and there, gone, Oh I really want to order some flowers,
- 26:32Speaker 2: maybe some pink ones. Oh look there pre ordered them
- 26:36Speaker 2: and they would have got it. Okay, get my maid.
- 26:40Speaker 1: My man was like, I was like, oh damn, so
- 26:42Speaker 1: I needed to order them ahead of time.
- 26:44Speaker 2: He's like yeah.
- 26:45Speaker 1: I was like, are there any stragglers in here to where?
- 26:48Speaker 1: I was like, I honestly, I just need a couple.
- 26:50Speaker 1: He's like, buddy, just standing right here next to the table.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Once I get down with the people who are pre ordered,
- 26:54Speaker 1: he's like, there'll there'll.
- 26:55Speaker 3: Be extras for sure.
- 26:56Speaker 1: And I'm like, oh, let's go, hey, Lola, no become
- 27:00Speaker 1: my in laws. We get set up again. Charle was
- 27:03Speaker 1: in line because I'm telling Lil and nope. I'm like, hey,
- 27:05Speaker 1: go get in line so that way we can go
- 27:06Speaker 1: in and get some good seats and everything else. I
- 27:08Speaker 1: call my wife, thinking again she's backstage, my ky sweetheart,
- 27:12Speaker 1: we're here. Yeah, yeaha She's like okay, I'm already at
- 27:14Speaker 1: the front of the line, on the on the left
- 27:15Speaker 1: side of my Oh great, we go in. Get situated
- 27:19Speaker 1: in the middle, perfect seats maybe six or seven rows
- 27:22Speaker 1: back in the middle, got the stage right in front
- 27:25Speaker 1: of them.
- 27:25Speaker 3: Come on, we are primetime.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Charle got enough tickets to where we have an extra
- 27:28Speaker 1: seat for Scottie because you know, Zilla, I don't know
- 27:31Speaker 1: if you follow my story. She's she's banging, she's standing up,
- 27:34Speaker 1: hitting the dance, and she's all ready to go. She's
- 27:37Speaker 1: come on, all the snack. She's having a.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Great She's been raised since six point thirty, she's been
- 27:40Speaker 2: ready since six thirty.
- 27:42Speaker 3: Rue comes out, she crushes it. We're having so much fun.
- 27:45Speaker 6: Dad.
- 27:45Speaker 3: I'm out there recorder smiling.
- 27:48Speaker 1: I'm trying to do the dad wave like when I
- 27:50Speaker 1: feel like she's looking out in the stands. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 27:52Speaker 1: and uh dude, it was incredible. But we get to
- 27:56Speaker 1: the moment where scott Zilla takes a little tumble. Oh boom, oh,
- 28:03Speaker 1: hits her head, gets a lump, hits her head.
- 28:05Speaker 3: On my arm rest. Oh good good. So in this moment,
- 28:11Speaker 3: Dad lost.
- 28:13Speaker 1: She starts to cry and then do that hyperventilating to
- 28:16Speaker 1: where it's a build up cry.
- 28:18Speaker 3: She can't breathe. That's where you know it's gonna be
- 28:20Speaker 3: so loud.
- 28:21Speaker 1: So Ru's Ru's session already got done there like a
- 28:24Speaker 1: couple of minutes each for each crew, for each group.
- 28:27Speaker 3: But it's in the middle of a performance. She slips, bam,
- 28:32Speaker 3: she starts having that that build up, that cry, and
- 28:36Speaker 3: I'm looking at my wife because Charles like, you know,
- 28:38Speaker 3: Charles like holdner, and I'm like, shit, face continues to
- 28:47Speaker 3: get red and then it just drops the scream and
- 28:51Speaker 3: then she starts like, you know, picking it up, and
- 28:53Speaker 3: Charles like Joe looks.
- 28:54Speaker 2: At me and she goes, you gotta take her, you
- 28:56Speaker 2: gotta go, you gotta go.
- 28:57Speaker 3: I'm like, all right, all right, and I just take her.
- 28:58Speaker 1: I'm talking six points of conacked all around the bottle.
- 29:01Speaker 3: I'm in the middle of the road. Yeah again, we're
- 29:04Speaker 3: in the middle. Another dad hack.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Maybe like if I could go back, I would try
- 29:09Speaker 1: and talk my wife into halving the aisle.
- 29:10Speaker 3: See of course, soon are you go.
- 29:11Speaker 1: In the middle or whoever wants to be with the
- 29:13Speaker 1: camera and go in the middle, you go in the middle.
- 29:14Speaker 1: We'll see it with their eighteen month old like on
- 29:16Speaker 1: the side just in case something happens.
- 29:18Speaker 3: That's maybe our best dat hack yet.
- 29:20Speaker 1: And you know, like when you're in the seat, whether
- 29:22Speaker 1: it's at a movie theater anywhere, tight with bleachers like this,
- 29:25Speaker 1: the moving situation is like you like tuck your knees in,
- 29:27Speaker 1: or you try and stand up, but not too tall
- 29:29Speaker 1: because you don't want to block the person behind you.
- 29:31Speaker 1: We're in that type of tight those tight corners. So
- 29:34Speaker 1: I got Scottie and I'm just mowing down the line, bro.
- 29:38Speaker 3: And just shaking and nodding your head to everyone.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm literally just going like this.
- 29:45Speaker 3: I'm going I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry.
- 29:47Speaker 3: I'm so sorry. The entire aisle all the way down,
- 29:51Speaker 3: just loud enough whisper so everybody can hear.
- 29:54Speaker 1: And I'm not stopping either. It's not like I'm waiting
- 29:56Speaker 1: for people to get situated and move. I'm like stepping
- 29:58Speaker 1: on some feet because I'm like, I've got to get
- 30:00Speaker 1: Scotty out here. Yeah, she's blaring crying in the middle
- 30:03Speaker 1: of a performance. Yeah yeah, Like the family in front
- 30:06Speaker 1: of us, their kid was probably up there performing while
- 30:08Speaker 1: they're trying to record. I'm just thinking, oh, bro, because
- 30:11Speaker 1: you know, it's dark, it's quiet, it's everything.
- 30:14Speaker 3: It's like the worst most panic situation. Oh who you know?
- 30:18Speaker 3: Oh who is that? Oh?
- 30:19Speaker 2: Will Compton go by here?
- 30:22Speaker 7: Oh?
- 30:22Speaker 3: Who's streaming during my Little Stars performance? Oh it's not chill.
- 30:25Speaker 3: My big body stand up in the shadows. I'm so sorry.
- 30:30Speaker 1: We get out of there. I guess Scotty calmed down.
- 30:32Speaker 1: It was all good because again, as you're going you
- 30:34Speaker 1: see other little ones there, because it's all it's a
- 30:36Speaker 1: family vibe. Yeah, yeah, so I'm I'm sure the parents
- 30:40Speaker 1: were like understanding, Like as I'm going through, they're like, oh, dude,
- 30:42Speaker 1: it's okay.
- 30:43Speaker 3: Afterwards, a couple of a couple of the guys, I know,
- 30:45Speaker 3: I was.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Like, hey, the crying baby in there, that was scott Zilla.
- 30:48Speaker 1: He's like, oh, I saw you. He's like, you got
- 30:51Speaker 1: out of there quick though. I was like, bro, I
- 30:52Speaker 1: had to move man.
- 30:56Speaker 3: People coming down those long.
- 31:00Speaker 2: I als like in the theater, I could just see you,
- 31:02Speaker 2: Bob and weave it once you're like in the aisle,
- 31:04Speaker 2: just rushing Pats.
- 31:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel my feel my kids like graze somebody
- 31:09Speaker 1: in the head that's sitting in the road in front like,
- 31:11Speaker 1: just like as I'm going, because I'm like Jerome Bettis
- 31:14Speaker 1: Tote in the rock, Derrick Henery getting through the a gap.
- 31:16Speaker 2: They just fully get cheeked at cheek you just flying fast.
- 31:22Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I know.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Scotty was all good. She had a little lump on
- 31:25Speaker 1: her head. Then we got to see Ruin. Everybody was
- 31:28Speaker 1: taking photos.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Man, it was it was a lot of fun. She
- 31:30Speaker 3: loved the flowers, bro she loved them. And here's the
- 31:33Speaker 3: other thing. So again, ballet dad, rookie.
- 31:38Speaker 1: I'm trying to like learn on my feet because again,
- 31:40Speaker 1: I don't want to hit up my wife. I don't
- 31:42Speaker 1: want to tell her like, oh I forgot flowers. I'm
- 31:43Speaker 1: thinking I'm figuring out to solve at the little flower
- 31:46Speaker 1: station and everything else. Don't want her to see me
- 31:49Speaker 1: because I'm just trying to I'm trying to figure it out.
- 31:51Speaker 1: So that way, I'm not asking her a bunch of questions.
- 31:53Speaker 1: I didn't do this, I didn't do that. Charli had
- 31:55Speaker 1: already pre ordered flowers to Charlie already had some in
- 32:00Speaker 1: her bag, and I just go, well, I want her
- 32:01Speaker 1: to I want I want Dad to give her some too. Yeah, yeah,
- 32:04Speaker 1: I want I want her to get some flowers.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Well, and I'm sure that she loved that Dad brought flowers,
- 32:10Speaker 2: uh Rue, well choro as well, Like she was on it.
- 32:13Speaker 2: She pre ordered, but then Dad's rolling up with flowers.
- 32:15Speaker 3: I was telling her.
- 32:16Speaker 1: She's like, oh, you didn't have to go, like all
- 32:18Speaker 1: I had already ordered, pre ordered flowers. Like ah, come
- 32:24Speaker 1: to find out Troo had everything set up. All I
- 32:26Speaker 1: needed to do was just show up and then be like, hey,
- 32:29Speaker 1: where you at in line?
- 32:30Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 32:30Speaker 2: Yeah, but again my brain, she's back there coaching Rue.
- 32:35Speaker 1: I got to figure this out on my own. I
- 32:36Speaker 1: don't want to be a nuisance hitting up my wife like, hey,
- 32:39Speaker 1: Dad's got this. I'm going to learn how to be
- 32:41Speaker 1: a ballet day get their.
- 32:43Speaker 3: Early flowers ballet dad.
- 32:45Speaker 1: Yeah, but she had the tickets, she had the spot
- 32:48Speaker 1: in line, she had the flowers.
- 32:50Speaker 2: She had the whole ordeal, Like we just needed to
- 32:52Speaker 2: show up. It sounds like you crushed it from uh
- 32:56Speaker 2: like my view of it. As far as crushing it wise,
- 33:01Speaker 2: my dad was putting on a clinic this weekend. He
- 33:05Speaker 2: came in down for moving to.
- 33:07Speaker 3: Help with the movie.
- 33:07Speaker 2: I'm sure that was a massive, massive though. I want
- 33:11Speaker 2: to start out this story by saying that my mom
- 33:15Speaker 2: and dad and Jill's mom she's still in town. She
- 33:18Speaker 2: got in on Saturday. My parents got in on Thursday.
- 33:22Speaker 2: They have since gone back to Fort Worth and Midland.
- 33:25Speaker 2: Shout out to my mom and dad. I love you guys,
- 33:28Speaker 2: and y'all were a godsend. And Dad, I don't I
- 33:31Speaker 2: hope you don't mind if I pick on you a
- 33:32Speaker 2: little bit. My dad was on one this weekend. As
- 33:36Speaker 2: far as dad vibes go, he should have just came
- 33:39Speaker 2: in with the Batman suit.
- 33:40Speaker 3: He should have come in with the Batman suit. But
- 33:43Speaker 3: he was dude. It wasn't even just Batman.
- 33:46Speaker 2: We're Oh, who's the Guardians of the Galaxy? Guy Storrd?
- 33:54Speaker 2: My dad was star Lord dude. He have the jokes too,
- 33:57Speaker 2: He have the dance moves. Bean growing up in single
- 34:02Speaker 2: parent home, she didn't get a whole lot of dad
- 34:05Speaker 2: jokes when she was growing up. So now that she's
- 34:07Speaker 2: getting them now, she thinks they're funny. She loves the
- 34:12Speaker 2: dad jokes and my dad's seeing, Oh my god, I'm
- 34:16Speaker 2: getting some laughs.
- 34:17Speaker 3: These are hitting whoa wait, hold on a second.
- 34:21Speaker 2: I got an audience and the performance went to a
- 34:25Speaker 2: ten to the point where we're in Costco shopping. We
- 34:29Speaker 2: have been moving all day. Everybody's faces is this. We
- 34:33Speaker 2: are zapped. We're ready to go home, except for Papa Shir.
- 34:38Speaker 2: Twelve year old girl is walking through the aisles all
- 34:40Speaker 2: by herself, like on her cell phone, and she is
- 34:43Speaker 2: full teenager, pissed off. I don't want to talk to anybody.
- 34:47Speaker 2: She's got braces, she's wearing her basketball stuff from her
- 34:51Speaker 2: game earlier today, and she's just tweeting on her phone.
- 34:54Speaker 2: And my dad Caesar, and he looks over at me
- 34:58Speaker 2: and gives.
- 34:58Speaker 3: Me like a half smile.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Well, I'm like, what are you about to do? Goes up.
- 35:04Speaker 2: This twelve year old girl's walking this way. He takes
- 35:06Speaker 2: two stepsword and he goes oh oh, and start to
- 35:09Speaker 2: act him like he's dribbling between his legs and then
- 35:12Speaker 2: goes whoo.
- 35:14Speaker 3: It does a little fadeaway.
- 35:15Speaker 2: Shot and Jill laughed, and the twelve year old girl
- 35:26Speaker 2: could not have looked more pissed off. She was like
- 35:30Speaker 2: she might as well just looked at us like what
- 35:32Speaker 2: the fuck? Like she literally, you.
- 35:35Speaker 3: Just take the card. She she really was like, I
- 35:38Speaker 3: don't know him. I don't know him.
- 35:39Speaker 2: I don't know him, and she looks as like, okay,
- 35:42Speaker 2: what and walks off. And my dad telling that story
- 35:45Speaker 2: later that the girl in the basketball jersey loved it.
- 35:48Speaker 3: She was laughing just as hard as Jill.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Oh no, she loved me, loved it. What are you
- 35:54Speaker 2: talking about?
- 35:56Speaker 3: Are we going?
- 35:57Speaker 8: Oh?
- 35:59Speaker 2: She was guarding me. She was guarding me. We're like, oh,
- 36:02Speaker 2: dadd she did not like what you were doing watching
- 36:07Speaker 2: Papa Scheram operate like that when he's when he's getting
- 36:10Speaker 2: almost like cocky dad mode of like it's all going right.
- 36:14Speaker 3: It is truly some of the best dad stuff.
- 36:16Speaker 2: Yeah, you will ever you're.
- 36:17Speaker 3: Getting flow state and feel like you can't lose, you
- 36:20Speaker 3: can't live, cannot live.
- 36:23Speaker 2: And he was crushing it to like to the point
- 36:27Speaker 2: he was doing such a phenomenal job that he couldn't lose.
- 36:31Speaker 2: And then just dropping all these jokes at dinner that
- 36:34Speaker 2: my mom and I are quite literally eye rolling to
- 36:37Speaker 2: each other because it's maybe the twentieth time or thirtieth.
- 36:40Speaker 3: Time I've ever heard of these stories. Jill's belly laughing,
- 36:44Speaker 3: which is beautiful.
- 36:45Speaker 2: We aren't cutting in, we aren't cutting in and saying
- 36:48Speaker 2: Dad stop, Dad stop.
- 36:50Speaker 3: We're just letting it happen.
- 36:52Speaker 2: Jill's dying, laughing, he's running an open mic, open mic.
- 36:57Speaker 3: Where at Ashley Furniture.
- 36:58Speaker 2: He looks at the guy that's helped and us that
- 37:00Speaker 2: just walked up, and he goes, now, I, Andrew, before
- 37:04Speaker 2: you help us, I just want you to know I've
- 37:05Speaker 2: been in the furniture business for about thirty years. I
- 37:08Speaker 2: manage around twenty stores in Texas. So whatever you're about
- 37:12Speaker 2: to go into, I've already heard it. I'm literally off
- 37:15Speaker 2: the side going Andrew, do not listen to Andrew. Andrew,
- 37:18Speaker 2: don't listen to him. Don't listen to him.
- 37:21Speaker 3: And finally my dad's like, cut bad cop right there
- 37:24Speaker 3: by you and your old man. You guys, you don't know.
- 37:26Speaker 2: You guys are tag teaming. You guys are tagged. You
- 37:29Speaker 2: guys got it cooking. We are kind of cooking. I'm like, Andrew,
- 37:33Speaker 2: like's not just don't like look at me, look at me.
- 37:37Speaker 2: My dad finally gets you a smile. Ah, dude.
- 37:44Speaker 3: But Andrew did kind of love it. He kind of
- 37:46Speaker 3: loved it. But it was phenomenal. What happened with you
- 37:51Speaker 3: getting pulled over? I have five miss calls from my wife.
- 37:55Speaker 2: Yeah, if we do keep that in there. It took
- 37:58Speaker 2: about one second for me to hear in her voice.
- 38:00Speaker 2: I'm like, she doesn't sound frantic at all. Why'd she
- 38:03Speaker 2: call me five times but dial but dialed the other
- 38:06Speaker 2: four times?
- 38:08Speaker 3: So getting pulled over? Oh dude, youet pulled over by
- 38:11Speaker 3: the cops.
- 38:12Speaker 6: Dude.
- 38:13Speaker 2: Just a really like quick summarization of the moving weekend.
- 38:18Speaker 2: We hired movers for the very first day. That's all
- 38:20Speaker 2: of our big ticket items. Took two trips, but we
- 38:24Speaker 2: got it all done by midnight.
- 38:25Speaker 3: First night.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Scarlet then only sleeps two hours that night, two hours.
- 38:31Speaker 2: I got woken up at three am by Jill.
- 38:34Speaker 3: Can you go rock, Scarlet? I'm up there rocking with her.
- 38:38Speaker 2: She probably doesn't fall asleep till around four forty five
- 38:40Speaker 2: five on my chest. I then wake up at six
- 38:44Speaker 2: point thirty to her hitting me in the face, ready
- 38:47Speaker 2: to go to start the day. Good, get all that
- 38:51Speaker 2: moving taking care of which we don't have movers the
- 38:55Speaker 2: second day, so now we are really in the shit
- 38:58Speaker 2: and we're moving a lot of stuff. We're trash dumping,
- 39:01Speaker 2: we're moving some medium sized chairs upstairs and stuff enough
- 39:07Speaker 2: to where it's like I'm exhausted. I'm running on probably
- 39:11Speaker 2: four hours of sleep. Scarlet's been poor thing. Oh that
- 39:15Speaker 2: was the other thing. She had a fever from teething,
- 39:18Speaker 2: which that was a whole thing. So like during the day,
- 39:20Speaker 2: we have to have somebody constantly on Scarlet.
- 39:23Speaker 3: It has been a day and my dad.
- 39:25Speaker 2: Who has been killing it all weekend, says, hey, guys,
- 39:31Speaker 2: how about dinner on Puplisher. How about we get some
- 39:34Speaker 2: blue sushi. I'm just sitting here looking at this man,
- 39:37Speaker 2: I'm going, how do you do it?
- 39:39Speaker 3: How do you do it? Like you really are dial
- 39:42Speaker 3: like that.
- 39:43Speaker 2: There's nothing in this world that make me more happy
- 39:45Speaker 2: than not having to pay for dinner. It just feast
- 39:49Speaker 2: And he gets enough food for an army. There's one, two, three, four,
- 39:54Speaker 2: five of us with Jill's mom there as well, get
- 39:58Speaker 2: all this food. I'm driving to Blue. I got the
- 40:02Speaker 2: best playlist of all time going kind of like your
- 40:06Speaker 2: ten piece band, like nineteen fifties, nineteen sixties, like Buddy
- 40:11Speaker 2: Hawley type stuff, going dude, oh really, like I am
- 40:16Speaker 2: floating at this point, we're done moving.
- 40:18Speaker 3: We did it.
- 40:22Speaker 2: Red, Red and Blues, Red and Blues, Mike Dude and
- 40:27Speaker 2: bro pt Fix and PT six Community is about.
- 40:32Speaker 3: To be pissed. Oh tail light out?
- 40:35Speaker 2: Not tail light maybe worse, maybe worse. They're about to
- 40:40Speaker 2: grill me in the comments. Oh, get pulled over?
- 40:44Speaker 3: Guy pulls me over for an expired tag in Texas.
- 40:48Speaker 2: No, in this Texas state. Yes, And this is state
- 40:53Speaker 2: trooper in Tennessee. So I don't know if he can
- 40:59Speaker 2: write me a ticket for expire tags in Texas if
- 41:02Speaker 2: he is a Tennessee state trooper. But he knows the
- 41:06Speaker 2: exact question that he wants to ask me. And this
- 41:10Speaker 2: is not me like sitting here on this pod trying
- 41:13Speaker 2: to brag about myself.
- 41:14Speaker 3: I cannot lie in situations like that. I just can't.
- 41:20Speaker 2: He says, Texas, what's got you here in Tennessee? And
- 41:24Speaker 2: I go, well, actually live here in Tennessee. He goes, really,
- 41:29Speaker 2: did you just move here in the last thirty days?
- 41:32Speaker 2: Go no, sir, last like seven hundred days. I've been
- 41:36Speaker 2: here for two years. And he goes, and you haven't
- 41:39Speaker 2: gotten your car registration or your ID switch over to Tennessee.
- 41:44Speaker 3: Go ahead and get proof of insurance for me, sir.
- 41:46Speaker 2: I'm like, Oh, comes back with six hundred dollars worth
- 41:51Speaker 2: of fix it tickets, so I don't have to pay
- 41:53Speaker 2: any of it. Well, I now have a one month
- 41:57Speaker 2: window where I have to knock out my car registration
- 41:59Speaker 2: in my New Tennessee. I d and I was being lazy, dude,
- 42:04Speaker 2: it's it's busy work. I don't I don't want to
- 42:07Speaker 2: do it. Nobody does. And we got we got some
- 42:10Speaker 2: plates here at the office. There's still Georgia, Pennsylvania. Oh
- 42:14Speaker 2: wha what you got out the boys right now?
- 42:17Speaker 3: Cut that? No, hey, actually cut that.
- 42:20Speaker 2: I'll bet like BD seven nine outside, Hey, why.
- 42:27Speaker 3: Why didn't you just hit him with? Yeah, we've been
- 42:29Speaker 3: moving in this weekend. I know, dude, because I can't.
- 42:32Speaker 3: I literally cannot. But you're telling the truth in that scenario.
- 42:38Speaker 6: I'll back up stirm here. Every time I've been pulled
- 42:41Speaker 6: over and I tell the officer like the the like, hey,
- 42:44Speaker 6: do you know how fast you're going? I know that
- 42:46Speaker 6: I was going over the limit. I was speeding reckless.
- 42:50Speaker 6: I always get out of it every time you go,
- 42:52Speaker 6: I know I screwed up here. Cops love it.
- 42:56Speaker 3: Yeah, Yeah, you're telling the truth. I'm even saying, like
- 42:58Speaker 3: in the terms scenario, I couldn't. Yeah, I just we
- 43:04Speaker 3: just got done movie picking up food for the whole family. Yeah,
- 43:06Speaker 3: just my parents are in from Texas to help us move.
- 43:09Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 43:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I literal I could. I could have done that.
- 43:11Speaker 6: That did not done on but it sounds like, sure,
- 43:14Speaker 6: you're not eating get penalized. You just have to change
- 43:17Speaker 6: your registration and right, so that's something you were gonna
- 43:21Speaker 6: have to do anyway.
- 43:22Speaker 3: You just switch over. Yeah, you just switch over. It's
- 43:25Speaker 3: not the end of the world.
- 43:26Speaker 2: But when it did, when I'm going to go get
- 43:28Speaker 2: that food stuff, and then Jill like never gets on
- 43:32Speaker 2: my Twitter, so I was like, I'll tweet about this
- 43:34Speaker 2: because it will probably get some likes, like, it will
- 43:37Speaker 2: probably like this is kind of funny. And of course
- 43:39Speaker 2: it gets a couple of likes, and Jill never checks Twitter,
- 43:43Speaker 2: like honestly.
- 43:44Speaker 3: Ever. And last night I'm putting up the that's a
- 43:48Speaker 3: whole other thing.
- 43:49Speaker 2: I got to put up all this animal netting on
- 43:51Speaker 2: my fence because my dogs can squeeze through the bars.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Good good, and uh, I'm doing that and Jill comes
- 43:59Speaker 2: out of the house and she goes, by the way,
- 44:01Speaker 2: you got a ticket the other night, And I was like, what,
- 44:04Speaker 2: who told you that?
- 44:07Speaker 4: And she was like, hey, hey, bro, I'd rather him
- 44:10Speaker 4: lie to the cops.
- 44:12Speaker 2: Can't you get hold of the cop?
- 44:14Speaker 3: You could lie to your wife? I go, what who
- 44:16Speaker 3: told you that? Twitter?
- 44:20Speaker 9: Bro?
- 44:20Speaker 3: I get so scared with the cops, dude. What who
- 44:26Speaker 3: told you? It's a different fear with the cops, dude?
- 44:29Speaker 3: It's like that?
- 44:30Speaker 2: Is that like shaky voice? Yes?
- 44:33Speaker 3: The last three day? Who told you that?
- 44:38Speaker 2: Dude? Why?
- 44:39Speaker 4: What can I start treating the cops like your wife?
- 44:43Speaker 4: Who did you get that one officer? Last eight days?
- 44:49Speaker 3: Huh? He told you that? It's just a simple question.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Look really pretty today. We hate to be that guy,
- 44:56Speaker 2: but I just want to let you know. I happen
- 44:57Speaker 2: to listen to this podcast called Busting with the Boys.
- 45:00Speaker 2: You seem pretty familiar to me. Been here for the
- 45:04Speaker 2: I don't know, maybe two years.
- 45:07Speaker 3: Who told you that? And I'm telling you dude now,
- 45:12Speaker 3: oh no, no, no, But I am the kid. I
- 45:15Speaker 3: know where it comes, where that fear comes from.
- 45:18Speaker 2: Dude. I always got caught when I was in high school.
- 45:22Speaker 2: Toilet paper and ding dong ditch and all that stuff.
- 45:26Speaker 2: I always got caught whenever I tried to light my
- 45:29Speaker 2: way out of it.
- 45:31Speaker 3: Always, And now I.
- 45:34Speaker 2: Just have this like I revert back to you, like
- 45:36Speaker 2: fifteen year old sherman.
- 45:38Speaker 3: Yes, sir, no, sir, shaky voice with cops.
- 45:44Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know how I had. The
- 45:47Speaker 2: conversation ended up going with with wifey. Oh, she was
- 45:51Speaker 2: fine because I told her they're fix it ticket.
- 45:53Speaker 3: Oh where'd you hear that? And she said, oh, I saw, yeah.
- 45:56Speaker 2: I saw it on your Twitter. Oh, oh shit, I
- 46:00Speaker 2: hope she didn't see the other three thweets. You know,
- 46:02Speaker 2: it's exaggerating, you know, Oh she didn't see the Mother's
- 46:06Speaker 2: Day thweets.
- 46:07Speaker 6: I was but.
- 46:10Speaker 2: Which I'm sure she did. I'm sure she did. Oh,
- 46:14Speaker 2: but moving went, moving went great. And oh, I have
- 46:19Speaker 2: one more moving story. My neighbor.
- 46:22Speaker 3: I told you a little bit about him on the phone.
- 46:25Speaker 2: He rips guys, and I'm trying to play it really
- 46:27Speaker 2: really cool because like he rips that hard. He's a dude.
- 46:32Speaker 2: I'm putting this humongous TV that we got for free
- 46:37Speaker 2: from a friend up on a wall mount. It's a
- 46:41Speaker 2: big enough mount where me doing it on my solo
- 46:45Speaker 2: is a bit of a task. And this is a
- 46:47Speaker 2: twenty nineteen flat screen, so they're not the light one,
- 46:50Speaker 2: skinny ones that you see today. It still has a
- 46:53Speaker 2: little bit of girth to it, and I need Jill's
- 46:56Speaker 2: help lifting it, and Jill's mom being so swee and
- 47:00Speaker 2: not wanting to be the mother in law. That's like
- 47:03Speaker 2: coaching you over your shoulders. She's like this quiet, going, hey,
- 47:07Speaker 2: do you think you should ask your neighbor to come?
- 47:10Speaker 3: Blah blah blah. Do you think he's sherman? Jill looks
- 47:13Speaker 3: like she's struggling.
- 47:14Speaker 2: Do you think he's.
- 47:15Speaker 3: Wouldn't get it?
- 47:16Speaker 2: We're gonna get it.
- 47:17Speaker 3: We are we we don't.
- 47:21Speaker 2: Need any help, we don't need any help. We're good.
- 47:25Speaker 2: I didn't say it like that, but I'm flipping the TV.
- 47:28Speaker 2: And then Jill starts going, oh, I don't think I
- 47:30Speaker 2: got anything.
- 47:31Speaker 3: Put on the ground. On the ground. Lisa sitting out,
- 47:34Speaker 3: sitting out slowly, so slowly. Watch your fingers, watch your fingers.
- 47:37Speaker 2: You go first, you go first, and then I'll go,
- 47:39Speaker 2: and Lisa goes, Okay, I'll go get Blake next door.
- 47:42Speaker 2: I go no, no, I'll I'll go get Blake.
- 47:49Speaker 3: Go into the backyard.
- 47:51Speaker 2: Hey man, I.
- 47:52Speaker 3: Hate asking can you help me move a TV? And
- 47:56Speaker 3: of course he's dad killing it.
- 47:58Speaker 2: He's got the remote controlled electric car where he's controlling
- 48:02Speaker 2: his two year old that thinks he's driving, and he's
- 48:05Speaker 2: just in the alleyway doing this sunglasses, sleeveless shirt, hat
- 48:10Speaker 2: on backwards killing it and I'm like, oh man, I'm
- 48:14Speaker 2: about to wreck this whole situation. He could have been
- 48:17Speaker 2: more nice. I have a picture that I'll send a
- 48:20Speaker 2: chef of him coming in pet fix is about to
- 48:26Speaker 2: slay me again. Blake looks at the mount on the wall.
- 48:30Speaker 2: It takes him about five seconds and he goes, is
- 48:34Speaker 2: that mount upside down?
- 48:38Speaker 3: Hey? It happens to the best of us, bro, cause.
- 48:41Speaker 2: Is that mount?
- 48:42Speaker 3: Is that upside down?
- 48:46Speaker 2: Yeah? I guess that is upside down. That does look
- 48:48Speaker 2: upside down, doesn't it. Jill is literally like thirty feet away,
- 48:52Speaker 2: just arms crossed, like you've got to be kidding me,
- 48:55Speaker 2: because the entire time we're struggling to put it on
- 48:57Speaker 2: and it wouldn't it click. And poor Jill, I mean
- 49:01Speaker 2: she truly is like all but five foot and she's
- 49:03Speaker 2: just sitting there shaky arms like that, and I'm like,
- 49:06Speaker 2: it's not clicking. Why is it not clicking? Took Blake
- 49:09Speaker 2: five seconds and I think the mounts upside down? Yeah?
- 49:14Speaker 1: I should have let my wife put that put that
- 49:16Speaker 1: mount up there, Joe, what the hell you doing the
- 49:21Speaker 1: arrows go up?
- 49:23Speaker 2: This was a man's job, and truthfully, I'm covering for
- 49:28Speaker 2: her mom. It was actually my mother in law that
- 49:30Speaker 2: was doing it. She's gonna take the blame of Yah.
- 49:33Speaker 2: Just go with now, paying blake and beer. I'm going by.
- 49:37Speaker 3: I asked him. I asked him if he drank any beer.
- 49:40Speaker 3: He said yes.
- 49:40Speaker 2: I said, we got some ice cold bud lights at
- 49:43Speaker 2: the office. I'll bring you some bud lights. Thank you
- 49:47Speaker 2: for all your service. That's how that's how the dad
- 49:49Speaker 2: community does. You can pay him beer, pay him beer.
- 49:54Speaker 2: I have a crack a cold one, please, brought to
- 49:57Speaker 2: us by lollipop.
- 49:59Speaker 6: Nu.
- 50:00Speaker 2: Yeah, always brought to us by lollipop, Dude.
- 50:02Speaker 1: I have a heartwarming cracker cole One. It's kind of
- 50:05Speaker 1: sad like when you're seeing it in real time, but
- 50:08Speaker 1: also warms your heart. My cracker cole One goes to
- 50:12Speaker 1: Scotti is eighteen months old, Rus four. They're awesome together.
- 50:17Speaker 1: They're they're playing together more. It's gotten to a point
- 50:20Speaker 1: to where I'm at home and if I'm getting dinner ready,
- 50:22Speaker 1: I'll be like, hey, Scotty, do you want to go
- 50:24Speaker 1: play with the Ruin, and I'll be like, guy, kids
- 50:26Speaker 1: go play blah blah blah, and they'll just go run around.
- 50:28Speaker 1: They'll be doing like their own thing together. It's the
- 50:30Speaker 1: most adorable thing in the world. But the other day
- 50:34Speaker 1: it happened twice on Saturday. But Scotty takes like a
- 50:38Speaker 1: fall or something to where she starts crying and Scotty
- 50:43Speaker 1: now reaches for Roue like Scotty will get up and
- 50:47Speaker 1: have both of her arms out like she wants a
- 50:49Speaker 1: hug from Roue. No, yeah, bro, and I have videos
- 50:53Speaker 1: of it, and it's the sweetest looking thing in the world.
- 50:57Speaker 1: They'll just stand they're bolt just standing and Scotty's just
- 51:00Speaker 1: ugging Rue and Rus hugging Scotty and Scotty's just holding
- 51:03Speaker 1: like hugging Room while she's crying. She's still crying, just
- 51:06Speaker 1: hugging Rue, putting her head on her chest, and Ru's
- 51:08Speaker 1: holding her and she's got like you know, she's tall,
- 51:10Speaker 1: not to her like chins over her head and she's
- 51:12Speaker 1: just like slowly rubbing her back and suth Inger saying
- 51:14Speaker 1: it's okay, Scotty, It's okay, yes, bro. It is the sweetest,
- 51:18Speaker 1: most heartwarming thing in the world. The Treaty of Zilla
- 51:24Speaker 1: has been signed. Yeah the war is over. Yeah, well
- 51:28Speaker 1: the wars still. The war still takes place. Zilla is
- 51:33Speaker 1: like hitting phase is getting better. The hugs are going
- 51:38Speaker 1: to help. Yeah, the hugs are the hugs. I mean
- 51:40Speaker 1: they're bonding. It's cool watching them too, like become best
- 51:45Speaker 1: friends as sisters, because it's not like the gap of
- 51:49Speaker 1: ag is going to close, but Scotty, as she gets older,
- 51:50Speaker 1: they're just going to continue to play more. Like they
- 51:52Speaker 1: have so much fun together. They throw a ball and
- 51:54Speaker 1: they go and sprint try to get the ball.
- 51:55Speaker 2: It does it does close in a way that yeah,
- 51:58Speaker 2: what you mean, Yeah, it does close in a way.
- 52:01Speaker 3: But with the hitting stuff, like there's even more now.
- 52:03Speaker 1: Like Charlie was putting me on on game when we
- 52:06Speaker 1: were out in LA and I'm like, is there anything new,
- 52:08Speaker 1: like new updates with Scottie, like anything she's saying different
- 52:10Speaker 1: words or because you know how you can be going
- 52:12Speaker 1: a few days and you feel like you've missed an
- 52:14Speaker 1: entire face of the kids with Ruby and four, like
- 52:17Speaker 1: it's not as prominent as with like Scotty being her
- 52:20Speaker 1: eighteen month old, Like yes, she's doing anything new and
- 52:24Speaker 1: she's realizing too, Like when when Mom and Rue are
- 52:27Speaker 1: trying to have a conversation in the car, Scotti will
- 52:30Speaker 1: now just yell and like scream, and we'll be like, oh,
- 52:34Speaker 1: it's hurting my ears, Mama, because with the whole hitting
- 52:37Speaker 1: face and everything else, like Scotty's just wanting attention.
- 52:40Speaker 3: Like Mom will be sitting.
- 52:41Speaker 2: There like doing like say, for ballet.
- 52:43Speaker 1: Scotty's standing on the h the little.
- 52:46Speaker 3: Standard thing and.
- 52:49Speaker 1: On the kitchen by the island, and Mom is doing
- 52:52Speaker 1: Ruth's hair in the chair, so I'm feeding Scotty. But
- 52:55Speaker 1: Scotty'll look over and notice that Mom is doing Ruth's
- 52:58Speaker 1: hair and not doing Scotty's here, and so she'll be
- 53:01Speaker 1: like reach and trying to like interrupt, like she's just trying.
- 53:04Speaker 1: Like the whole hitting thing and the screaming and everything
- 53:07Speaker 1: else is because Scotty just wants attention from Mom or
- 53:09Speaker 1: who from whoever? Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's usually Mom. But
- 53:13Speaker 1: Charlie identified that, Like when they're in the car and
- 53:15Speaker 1: they're trying to talk to each other, Scotty'll yell, and
- 53:18Speaker 1: I'm like, that's so funny because when Charle and I
- 53:20Speaker 1: when it was just Rue and Rue was around Scotty's
- 53:23Speaker 1: age or the two year old face, and she's it's
- 53:26Speaker 1: just Rue, we don't have Scotty yet, Charlie and I
- 53:29Speaker 1: if we're in the front seat trying to have a
- 53:31Speaker 1: conversation just mom and dad, because usually most of the
- 53:33Speaker 1: time when you're a parent, you're like engaging with the
- 53:36Speaker 1: little one or trying to keep them entertained or hey,
- 53:38Speaker 1: do you want to snack, or letting them talk or
- 53:40Speaker 1: pick songs whatever it is. Yeah, but Rue, I'm like,
- 53:43Speaker 1: that's funny because Rue would be the same way with
- 53:45Speaker 1: me and my wife, like when we're driving, Like if
- 53:48Speaker 1: charl and I are trying to have a conversation, it'd
- 53:50Speaker 1: be rude, like yelling.
- 53:51Speaker 3: Like don't talk to dad, dah, like I want you
- 53:53Speaker 3: to talk to me. I want you to talk to me,
- 53:55Speaker 3: or if she didn't have the language to articulate that yet,
- 53:57Speaker 3: she would yell and he'd be like, uh, do you
- 54:00Speaker 3: do you want us?
- 54:00Speaker 10: Rue?
- 54:00Speaker 3: Do you want us to talk to you? And she
- 54:01Speaker 3: said yeah.
- 54:02Speaker 1: And it's funny now because it's happening with Rue, with
- 54:05Speaker 1: Rue and Mom and Scotty is trying to scream and
- 54:07Speaker 1: be like no, I want I want you guys to
- 54:09Speaker 1: give me attention. Yeah, like probably in her brain is
- 54:12Speaker 1: you guys always give rue attention. But it's just fascinating
- 54:17Speaker 1: seeing the development, especially around Like I'm always telling parents,
- 54:20Speaker 1: like if I come across a PT sixer and they
- 54:23Speaker 1: have their little one with them, and I'll be like
- 54:25Speaker 1: how old And they might say if they say sixteen months,
- 54:27Speaker 1: Like you know, sixteen months is like the number where
- 54:29Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, this is when their personality like comes
- 54:32Speaker 1: to life. So it's just it's fascinating to see like
- 54:36Speaker 1: her development in this phase because she's just growing up man,
- 54:40Speaker 1: yeah dude, and seeing that she's trying to soothe herself
- 54:42Speaker 1: with rue. Now that's the that's the cracker cole one
- 54:45Speaker 1: I got. That's a good cracker cold one into the hair.
- 54:50Speaker 2: Example, we would always hate Wriglely used to have really
- 54:54Speaker 2: bad allergies our dog, and we had hit them with
- 54:58Speaker 2: his prescription to eardrops. That would send goose and so
- 55:02Speaker 2: we would get the prescription of your jobs with the
- 55:04Speaker 2: cap on and we had turn his head.
- 55:06Speaker 3: And go, oh, Goose, here you go.
- 55:09Speaker 2: Yeah, somehow that every time he's like, oh good, I'll
- 55:13Speaker 2: shake it out.
- 55:14Speaker 3: I got it too.
- 55:14Speaker 1: Are your dogs like that attention wise with Scarlet, dude,
- 55:17Speaker 1: because waffles like that in her Like, I feel like
- 55:20Speaker 1: pets are the same way, Like when the baby comes
- 55:22Speaker 1: and all the attentions on the baby will we haven't
- 55:25Speaker 1: even starts acting out or they start doing things. And
- 55:28Speaker 1: obviously you're a little bit more direct with your dog.
- 55:30Speaker 1: Like once your kid comes, you think you're not gonna
- 55:31Speaker 1: love your kid as much as you love your dog.
- 55:33Speaker 1: Then your kid gets here. Yes, it's like, oh, dog
- 55:36Speaker 1: clearly falls down the ladder, dog starts to act out.
- 55:39Speaker 2: Rigley are dogs in Chihuahbah. He is a very smart dog,
- 55:44Speaker 2: like extremely emotionally intelligent. I know a lot of people
- 55:48Speaker 2: say that, but you know, when you could just look
- 55:49Speaker 2: at a dog's eyes, you go that dog's with it
- 55:52Speaker 2: like that he'd say sense if he could. Yeah, Like
- 55:55Speaker 2: he's not just here for treats and bones and stuff
- 55:57Speaker 2: like this guy knows what's going on. Bro. He almost
- 56:02Speaker 2: he almost just up and quit this weekend with the
- 56:05Speaker 2: new house. He's already having problems with the attention stuff
- 56:08Speaker 2: with Scarlet, real issues. He's pissed about Scarlet. The only
- 56:15Speaker 2: thing that has kept him in the game is dinner time.
- 56:17Speaker 2: With scarlet where all the scraps are falling on the floor,
- 56:20Speaker 2: and he's like, hey, if that means I get some
- 56:23Speaker 2: extra treats that now this thing's around, I guess I'll put.
- 56:27Speaker 3: Up with there. But we moved to this new house, dude,
- 56:29Speaker 3: and he's.
- 56:29Speaker 2: Like, I'm done. Like y'all think, y'all tell me what
- 56:35Speaker 2: to do. You think that I'm only.
- 56:37Speaker 3: Going to go outside to go on walks and be
- 56:39Speaker 3: on your time.
- 56:41Speaker 2: You have completely uprooted my whole entire world, and I'm done.
- 56:46Speaker 3: I'm done. First five minutes in the backyard.
- 56:50Speaker 2: Out finds a way to get underneath the fence and
- 56:54Speaker 2: he's out and about running around.
- 56:55Speaker 3: We're trying to find home.
- 56:56Speaker 2: Yeah, he's like, dude, I'm pissed are making me sleep
- 57:00Speaker 2: in a laundry room instead of the master bedroom because
- 57:03Speaker 2: all of a sudden, Mom's like, I don't want the
- 57:05Speaker 2: dogs in the room if you mom, Oh.
- 57:08Speaker 1: Man, you gotta feel for the animals too, because yeah,
- 57:12Speaker 1: when it's moving time, you all know like you're like, uh,
- 57:15Speaker 1: you're getting ready for the move. You know you're moving.
- 57:17Speaker 1: You know you're getting in a new house, you've already
- 57:18Speaker 1: picked it. You get in the new house. You've seen
- 57:20Speaker 1: all the new things we're gonna put this year there,
- 57:21Speaker 1: or the other animals. They have no clue what's going on,
- 57:24Speaker 1: No clue. You just uprooted his entire life.
- 57:26Speaker 2: Oh yeah, he never growls at people ever. And Blake
- 57:31Speaker 2: and his family they got like kids. There's my crack.
- 57:37Speaker 2: The cold one is all the neighborhood kids. I'll get
- 57:39Speaker 2: into that. I'll put a button on this story. But
- 57:41Speaker 2: his family and all these kids are around the fence.
- 57:43Speaker 3: They're all like, really really.
- 57:45Speaker 2: Because I told him Wrigley's name, and Wrigley stopped in
- 57:48Speaker 2: the middle of the yard, like far away from the
- 57:51Speaker 2: fence and looks at him and just goes it, goes
- 57:55Speaker 2: back to sniffing. I was like, fuck them, kids, what's that?
- 57:59Speaker 3: He's a sweet a sweet dog too, And I'm like, dude,
- 58:03Speaker 3: Wriggley's pissed. He's not happy. We gotta have a day
- 58:06Speaker 3: with rigs bro we do, because he's like, I don't
- 58:10Speaker 3: know about this whole bullshit.
- 58:12Speaker 2: And he got he got demoted to the laundry room,
- 58:16Speaker 2: big time demoted. I feel like that's a massive change.
- 58:19Speaker 3: That's a massive move, baby.
- 58:23Speaker 2: And now guess what, Wriggly you don't get to sleep
- 58:25Speaker 2: underneath Mama and Dad as bad like anymore.
- 58:27Speaker 3: Yeah, Like you're in the laundry room now, pack animals, bro,
- 58:31Speaker 3: and you just removed him from it. He feels removed.
- 58:33Speaker 2: From the pack. He does feel removed from the pack.
- 58:36Speaker 1: And nobody told him you know what I mean. You
- 58:38Speaker 1: can't explain it to him. You can't sit him down
- 58:40Speaker 1: in a chair and be like, let's have a hard conversation.
- 58:42Speaker 3: He feels in his frame. He feels exiled from the pack. Yeah,
- 58:49Speaker 3: and now he's on a lone wolf arc.
- 58:52Speaker 2: Yes. Yeah, he said, I'll be the alpha of my
- 58:54Speaker 2: own ship. Then if I'm not in your ship, he's
- 58:58Speaker 2: now curating a different movie. Dude, I need to take him. Okay,
- 59:03Speaker 2: so do my crack of cold one. Thank you, lollipop.
- 59:07Speaker 3: For the dog. That is an episode for the dog. Yeah,
- 59:10Speaker 3: this is episode for the dog.
- 59:11Speaker 2: This kind of this really is a dad hack, though
- 59:14Speaker 2: I'm being serious, and I know you are too of
- 59:17Speaker 2: integrating the dogs to the kiddos like it's a thing.
- 59:22Speaker 3: And sometimes it's on things.
- 59:23Speaker 2: Sometimes you have that little brainless golden Retriever and the
- 59:26Speaker 2: baby comes into the picture and the golden ers are
- 59:28Speaker 2: like great, Okay, cool.
- 59:30Speaker 1: Some of them just know how to adapt. I feel like, yeah,
- 59:33Speaker 1: like Waffle's like not that way.
- 59:37Speaker 2: Oh waffle, my love, waffle, love waffle great, respect a waffle,
- 59:42Speaker 2: respect a waffle. My crack of cold one is that,
- 59:46Speaker 2: And I'll segue it to Wrigley in our little day
- 59:49Speaker 2: out that we can have in the future. I feel
- 59:52Speaker 2: like Superman in the sense of Superman gets his powers
- 59:57Speaker 2: from our son.
- 59:58Speaker 3: I believe that's why it's a Our son is a
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: red giant sunlight. Yeah.
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: Yeah, and the radiation of our red giant son is
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: what makes him a little bit more of a superhero
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: on Earth than on Krypton. Correct me pt comic book goes, Okay,
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: correct me.
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: Pt comic book goes.
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: I am Superman moving to the suburbs out in the country.
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: As far as a dad goes.
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: It's like, all of a sudden, it's I'm absorbing all
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: the radiation of the suburbs. There's schools everywhere. I have
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: air monarchs on. I have a yard that I'm gonna
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: be able to cut. I got these huge sidewalks that
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: I can walk my kid and my dog's on.
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: I'm looking around.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: There's all these other dads out and about doing yard work.
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: And they got there, they got their dad outfits on,
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: and I'm like, okay, like this is a place where
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: I can dad.
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: This is crazy.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: You feel like you're around your people. I feel like
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: I'm around my people a little bit. It also, this
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: might be my crack a cold one. Those electric dirt bikes, dude,
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: have you been seeing these? Damn they?
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: Where did I see one at?
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: At what's the park called that's close to me? It
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: starts with the p.
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: There, Yeah, peres.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: This Percy Warner person Warner worn, Percy Warner the Lake, right, Yeah, yeah, okay,
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: Percy Warner Park. Yeah, I saw one of Percy Warner Park.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: This kid ripping around on one.
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: And it ain't a raid.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: I ain't talking about no Razor scooter dirt bike that
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: you got at Walmart. I'm talking up at least one
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: hundred cc electric.
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: Oh, he's got riding boots.
- 1:01:43Speaker 6: Is it one of those bikes that looks like an
- 1:01:44Speaker 6: actual bike but then it's like hybrid.
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: It's like electric, but you look like a dirt bike,
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: but it's eleric.

- 1:02:11Speaker 2: the dirtbike helmet on and the pads and the riding
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: boots and legs stuff. And I turned Scarlet's stroller to
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: be like, Scarlet, look at that, and he just like
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: popping shirm. Seeing that he has an audience, this kid's like, oh,

- 1:02:29Speaker 2: and puts a show on for us for like five
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: different times, going up and down, popping wheelie, standing up
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: on one foot and kind of like bouncing up and
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: down as he's popping it. I'm like, dude, this is awesome.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: The neighborhood has a pond that we can fish in.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: It's got a nature trail. That's where I'll take Wrigley
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: for a little day out let. No, dude, you're part
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: of the pack, Wriggly, if anything, you kind of I
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: lead this shit. Okay, I'm the leader.
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: You my number one dog for life, my right hand hand.
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: You keep this shit going.
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: I mean, there are so many little like adventures and
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: stuff that we can get into. And that's why, that's
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: why crack a cool one, dude. This new neighborhood rips.
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: I am very excited about it. And nothing better too
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: than having a good neighbor. Yes, dude, you know when
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: you meet somebody and not to gush, they're gonna get
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: after me in the comments.
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: They're gonna be like shrman's into the neighbor.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: Listen, Oh, you're definitely into the neighbor the way you
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: explain his fit, cut off tea.
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: But he's dude. I've never had a cool neighbor, and
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: I'm just like, he's a dude's dude. Yeah, I'm geeking
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: out a little bit strong Joel line.
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: Yeah, like I would say, like, good looking dude, good
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: looking dude.
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: Wasn't Jared Beam in your neighbor? You never had a
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: cool one.
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: Oh, I've never had a cold neck store neighbor.
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: I've never I've never had a gold next door neighbor.
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: I'm great. I'm with you, though, bro.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: We had a neighbor in our old house across the
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: street before they moved.
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: Favorite neighbor of all time. Shut up, shut out the
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: pailor shut.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: Up Brian Paler.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: But this dude just in his forties mid forties, but chiseled,
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: fucking would run the marathons, exercise, he'd be out shirtless.
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: I'm like, man, that's it. He's just ripping. He's just
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: a ripping dad.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: And that's what I'm saying. Like I pull, like I
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: go to ask him and move my TV. And he's
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: got the electric like cargun in. The two year old
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: has a mullet. By the way, he's like, yeah, you
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: know he's acting out right now because he's too. Mom
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: says it's because he's got a mullet. They say, if
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: we cut the hair, he's gotta start acting right. I'm like,
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: this guy gets it, dude, he just gets it.
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: Somebody dad too, that just got the They got the
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: shades on the little like runners backwards, hat shirt off, yeah, sure,

- 1:05:00Speaker 1: and see the sunlight just hitting Yeah, muscles.
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: He's got blue collar joh.
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: I don't want to dock him too much because I
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: haven't talked even talked to him about the pod, but
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: he's a blue collar guy. Yeah, when you're just gonna
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: have to learn about it. Oh, yeah, you're gonna.
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: Have to show him the clip. Well, he he already
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: came over a little bit with the fence.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: Was like looking at the fence and my idea that
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: I told him to put animal netting like on the
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: bottom of the fence. Yeah, he was like, dude, I
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: was singing that same thing, like maybe something. We literally
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: almost at the same time, go zip ties to lock
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: it down like it. We're you, guys said at the
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: same time. And then had a moment a little bit
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: and Jill's like on the porch. I'm like, hey, honey,
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: uh uh, weren't you getting like a water or something?
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: And he to his wife he was like, yeah, honey,
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: aren't you putting the kids down.
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: For a nap? They're like no, but we can't. You
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: both just say zip ties at the same time. Zip ties.
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: Then you just hold out through a little dap. Hey,
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: you want some water, You might have to get some water.
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: You get some water, water, Yeah, honey, put the kids
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: out right now. Dude. You're a good dude. Kind of
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: rip dude. He was sitting there too. You guys like
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: board games.
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: He goes, he goes, he sees my grills in my
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: smoker and He's like, dude, there's this one guy that's
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: like a couple of houses down. He rips on the
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: grill and uh, we'll get on my grill and we
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: do like some barbecue. We do some burgers, and we
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: wheel out the TVs. We get two TVs in the
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: driveway and we just watch college football out in the
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: driveway right here on Saturdays.
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: If you're do you like college football?
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: Oh you struck gold brother.
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: She got a beer fridge.
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: He seems like a guy with a garage beer fridge
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: and a weight set and a weight set.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: Imagine you just walking in bud light, racking one hand,
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: allipop racking another.
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: Boys, let's watch some college ball, I said, college football?
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: Now, is that the one where they all get, you know,
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: kind of get together, like tell me about it, like
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: I want to learn about it, you know, because I'm
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: playing hard to get like I don't want to be
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: like yeah.
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: Number one, it's not like I do. It seemed like
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: he was inviting you, but you don't know if you're
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: in yet. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh it sounds
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: like a great time.
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: And what's barbecue again? Remind me what's barbecue? So you
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: slow cut the meat so it falls off the bone.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: That sounds interesting. I don't think you can play like that.
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: Oh I didn't. I was overthinking it.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: Yeah, because do you you you hear a dude say like, oh,
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: what's barbecue?
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: Right there?
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: You're almost striking, You're almost strike three out of the gate.
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: He goes, okay, geek, yeah, how about you get out
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: of my yard?
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: Oh barbecue? What's barbecue? And then he hits you with, oh,
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: we also serve tofu.
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: Hey upside down TV Stan Sherman, what's barbecue?
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: But he didn't know what amount of TV. Doesn't know
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: what barbecue is. Sounds like he doesn't know what college
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: football is. A college you watch soccer and heat vegetarian,
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: you ask.
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: Your college football? Was the one with the guys with
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: the megaphontes. I'm getting some weird we said zip ties
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: at the same time. He said his wife in the
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: get old.
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: You know? Sherm Oh, yeah, you were saying, how you
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: like sure them?
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: Uh?
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: The next door neighbor.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: Yeah, the stocky dude, Like he's got some he's got
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: some weird vibes.
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: I mean the wife is really sweet. Yeah, wife's cool,
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: but they could come over for dinner. But like let's
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: you know, yeah, I think we should just order pizza
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: and just kind of keep it. I think instead of
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: making him a pie or cake, I think you just
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: give him jello, the one with the fruit in it,
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: nasty like fruitcats or old jello.
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: Yes, telling them with these guys, let them know where
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: they are on the totem pole. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Let's
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: get into some community, shall we.
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: Yes?
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: Please, we got a bunch of shout outs around here.
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: Since we hit dad hacks and wins and losses, let's
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: hit some I got a dad win and lost right
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: here from Hayden. Wait, Dad lost? Question mark boys. I
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: need some thoughts and prayers from the six community. In
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: one month, baby number four will be here, finally having
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: a boy after three girls. Hayden, congratulations, brother, baby is fine.
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: Where the prayers come in. Wife made me get a vasectomy.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: Oh God, I was scared out of my mind, but
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: always well. He still works shooting blanks. Problem is the
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: doctor recommended having thirty to fifty ejaculations in the first
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: twelve weeks before getting.
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: The semen analysis.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: That's like every other day, and my wife is an
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: absolute sicko about keeping me on the schedule. This week,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: I forgot to take the trash out and didn't even
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: that didn't even matter. Last night, I didn't even have
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: to do the dishes first. Not sure how I will
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: make it through this difficult time. Thanks to this community
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: for keeping me in mind and helping me stay strong.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: Don't give up on trying. For a boy pop a
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: team sticks out. Hayden, Oh, Hayden.
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: We love doing this podcast, and we love it even
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: more when our community reaches out to us sometimes like this.
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: I have not experienced. I have no experience with this.
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: I'm not snipped, and I would just say do your
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: best to keep to the schedule. I know it's gonna
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: be hard to shoot.
- 1:10:16Speaker 3: Your shot every other day.
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: Thirty to fifty ejaculations in the first twelve weeks. Buddy,
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: stay hydrated, Stay hydrated. Eat your fruits. Yep, stay hydrated.
- 1:10:32Speaker 3: You get your protein too, man, get you some protein.
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: Fuck electrolytes and just It takes a man to ride
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: the shockwave.
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: But to get back in line right after you rode shockwave,
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: that takes a sick up. It takes a boy to
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: ride the shockwave. It takes a man to be the shockwave. Yeah,
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: to be the man that you know you are, Hayden and.
- 1:11:03Speaker 3: Nut up or shut up?
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: Yeah, if you will ejack ejaculate. Yeah, come, what is
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: it thirty thirty to fifty.
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: To get to twelve?
- 1:11:17Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah he has Yeah, well the numbers like that.
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: It's not that I get to Jack late. I have
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: to eject world record level numbers. Yeah.
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: Yeah, and hopefully he can have that mental shift back
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: to it get to I don't want to force that.
- 1:11:34Speaker 3: On if you get the fifty. So let's sit here.
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: Twelve times five is sixty plus twenty four more eighty
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: four eighty four days in that twelve weeks, right, was.
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: The five days and a week because they're seven.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: I was doing twelve weeks. Twelve weeks times seven, twelve
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: weeks times five is sixty days. That's five weeks, add
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: fourteen more days, two extra weeks, right, So what so
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: what we'll do just really quick in the first twelve
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: weeks is we're gonna twelve times.
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: We're gonna go, We're gonna go like this, We're just
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: gonna stay it like this. What's twelve times seven?
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: There we go and there we go. That's eighty four
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: eighty four four And you know what's really you know,
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: what's really scary. You know it's really scary, Like, come work.
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: He got eighty four on the first math that he did.
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: You multiplied five times the wrong way, and then you
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: added some other dates in there, and you got to
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: eighty four if you run the day back. So good
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: on ye Will's math works.
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: You see these colors show up.
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: Works. Because I even sat there and I was like
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: what and I multiplied since.
- 1:12:49Speaker 4: I saw by going, well, it is eighty five out
- 1:12:52Speaker 4: of the weekends after by multiplying two and twelve and
- 1:12:55Speaker 4: getting twenty four weekends I lived in fifty plus twenty
- 1:12:59Speaker 4: four before.
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: That was great, Thank you, thank you. That's Joy's work.
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: Like fucked the idiot got it.
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: You're not like you're you weirdly got it, like so fast, dude,
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: before I even multiplied seven times twelve.
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: You weirdly got to it.
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: But yes, eighty four has to come fifty times in
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: eighty four days. Okay, okay, Yeah, we can figure something out.
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: Yeah you can figure something now. No more space those
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: off days out now.
- 1:13:35Speaker 3: Honey, make sure you get to bed. Let's get you
- 1:13:38Speaker 3: some ice cream, and let's get you in bed, ready tonight.
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: Okay, Uh, sweetheart, doctor said, I got to ejaculate thirty
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: to fifty times in the first twelve weeks. He said,
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: I do need to be bedridden. Oh okay, need some
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: bedside help. Yeah, and he take off work.
- 1:13:54Speaker 6: Uh.
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: He gave me these coupons from this podcast. He said
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: these mind help. He's like, you know if you know? Yeah,
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: I have Keith Bell with the dad loss. Keith writes
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: in and says, hey, just drop it in to share.
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: A dad loss occurred literally moments ago. My dad, or
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: Granddaddy as he is called, baby sits for my wife, Christa,
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: a certified in T sixer Mama Team six or Milk
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: Team six and I on the days that we work,
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: which is a major dad win. My wife works part time,
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: I work full time, so Granddaddy baby sits three days
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: a week. Our little dude, Oliver is eight months old,
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: and it feels so good having him watched over by
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: someone that we know and trust.
- 1:14:39Speaker 3: Caveat.
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: My dad is always early to everything. Today we ask
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: if he could show up at nine am. My wife
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: is off, but she has a Dennis and hair appointment
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: and I don't get into work until later on Thursdays,
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: so we had a little extra time in the morning
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: together than usual. I think I know where this is going.
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: I don't want to spoil anything by those I think
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: I know where this is going. When Jill and I
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: have some extra time in the morning, we put a
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: little man down for a nap at eight twenty and
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: you know where Dad has had is at. Come on,
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: come on morning, shockwave wife. He says, mission is a
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: go rebuckling in pismissal in my hand. I'm one hundred
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: percent ready for the looty loo phone rings at eight
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: twenty five. Good Daddy's here, Oh, ready to be let
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: into the into the house. Wife he called it when
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: she saw him parked in the lot, but I said,
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: it's fine. He usually sits there for a bit. Sick o, Keith,
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: you sick.
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: Go this male thing everything? Oh no, no, it's fine.
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's that's not even his cards.
- 1:15:58Speaker 3: You just do the hand on the blind still shut
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: the floor. He's gonna sit on the driveway for a bit.
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: The father in law just sees the blind see from
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: the parking lot.
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: Always at the door. Hey, it's okay, it's okay. That's
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: on him. That's on him.
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: That's amazon. I ordered something. I know, a true embarrassment
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: of riches. So it is truly a dad loss. You
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: tell me thanks for everything you fellas do you were
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: beloved by the Bell household like twenty twenty Baker Mayfield,
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: Nick Chubb FTD is the fucking goat.
- 1:16:33Speaker 3: Yeah that's yeah, it's a great dad loss. That it
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: is a loss. It's a loss. That's a loss. It's
- 1:16:38Speaker 3: a loss. I have a dad win.
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: More opportunities in the future. Yeah, he needs to call Hayden.
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: Hayden will give him some tips.
- 1:16:46Speaker 3: Yeah, just go get a viseectomy. Just go get snipped, dude.
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: Tristan Sprunger rode in with the dad win shout out
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: to all the PT sicos and made it through a
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: successful Mother's Day dad win this past week. Took both
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: kids and the dog on a walk while the Mt
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: sixer was out of the house. Leash in one hand,
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: smart Mike in the other. Successful walk.
- 1:17:11Speaker 3: Good for him, man, Good job Tristan. Let's go, Tristan.
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: I have a dad hack here. I love this one.
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: This is from Mark on Discord. Transforming the garage into
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: a home gym is the best dad hack for PT
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: fit out there. Being able to train a lot more
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: frequently fitting, shorter fitting, shorter sessions in and there if needed. Plus,
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: my son spends hours in the gym with the wife
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: and I every week. This is the kind of environment
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: that will raise him to be an absolute beast. Best
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: believe he'll be ready for the A gap with the
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: photo of the garage gym, and this is a a
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: plus dad hack. Having the garage gym like this sore
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: next gym that I got ripping right now. It is
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: just so helpful because you can just go out in
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: your garage and get a workout in, Like go out
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: and get a session in, and in the afternoon, like
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: say you find a pocket where Scotty's down for a
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: nap and I'll go out and get a workout in
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: and real come outside and play. Sometimes you want to
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: not participate in what I'm doing, but she'll want. She'll
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: be interested in all the bells and whistles in the
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: gym to where I'm like, you know, you're sitting the
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: weight at like thirty pounds, pull something down or she
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: want to do a pull up now to where you
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: just to his point, you have them around the environment,
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: which just excites you because you want them to be
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: seeing you sweat, seeing you work hard, seeing them do
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: something and accomplish something like with the pull up, I'll
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: ever hang in and then you got the we got
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: the band system to where I'll set it up to
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: where it's really tight, to where she's just working on
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: basically like standing on the band and sees herself like
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: pull up and everything else. Yeah, and I'll be eventually
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: we'll continue to like move this down or we'll get
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: a lighter band and you'll be able to do a
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: pull up on your own. Yeah, she want to get off,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: she want to try a different machine. Or I have
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: this little this tread sled or a sled, tread whatever
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: whatever it's called from a niece over toes and I'll
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: be walking on this. It kind of acts like looks
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: like a little mini treadmill, but you have to act
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: debate it yourself to where it's like you're pushing a sled.
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: You can turn the resistance up or down, but you'll
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: want to get on and like push and I'll put
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: it on the lightest one tour.
- 1:19:07Speaker 3: She's like pushing her feet.
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: That's hilarious.
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: Or you have him engaged in around the environment. Yeah,
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: and it is just it's a lot of fun and
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: it's such a time saver because you don't have to
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: travel anywhere to go to a gym. Yes, I just
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: go on your garage and if wife, it's like, hey,
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: I'll talk ruin it. Coming outside with me, mam Will
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: gives some solo time.
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: And seeing neighbor Blake's set up and also Jeremy Klumps
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: set up.
- 1:19:29Speaker 3: He recently just set up his garage.
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, he's been rolling. Yeah, there's consistency going
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: with bt FIT. I finally have a garage for the
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: first time, and my well, my life with Jill like
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: the first time having placed with the garage.
- 1:19:45Speaker 3: Two car, full car, two car, what are you doing
- 1:19:47Speaker 3: with it? Well, that's what I'm saying.
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: It's like the the options are endless and we got
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: I don't want to like tease it too much, but
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: we had a company reach out with like a pretty
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: sick lead.
- 1:20:03Speaker 3: I can follow up.
- 1:20:04Speaker 4: They have to shoot us an email for what we
- 1:20:06Speaker 4: sent over to them, but they are sick.
- 1:20:09Speaker 3: They'll follow up and hopefully that comes to fruition.
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: Yeah, they're like a storage system, YadA YadA for a garage.
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: I don't want to do a shout out. No free
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: shout out, but they are very Is this the.
- 1:20:19Speaker 3: Crew that reached out, Yeah, this is the crew that
- 1:20:21Speaker 3: reached out.
- 1:20:21Speaker 4: Yeah, they're little bit back and just said, hey, hit
- 1:20:23Speaker 4: the email, and I just haven't seen an emails, right,
- 1:20:26Speaker 4: I believe. So whatever, do you find your phone in
- 1:20:28Speaker 4: the chair?
- 1:20:28Speaker 3: Yes?
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, yeah, because if we get that, I will
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: one hundred percent have room for like one of those bench.
- 1:20:36Speaker 3: Squad sets or is that what it's called. Yeah, rack, yeah, rack.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: You figure out they got a lot of there's a
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: lot of stuff out there, like Sorenicks has different rack
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: systems to where the rack can be against the wall.
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: If you're trying to be as efficient as possible. That's
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: what I jimmed. You're going to park in the garage? Yes,
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: So when Troe and I were in the last house,
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: it was a two car and I just decided, like,
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: I'm not going to park my truck in the garage.
- 1:20:58Speaker 3: I want to use my half or for a smaller gym.
- 1:21:02Speaker 3: Oh that's that's a good point too.
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: Now that we have the four car, Charles still parks
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: in the garage, like I still park outside the garage.
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: I don't want as much space as possible because I
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: wanted that sore next gym. You kind of just want
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: the lay of the land. Yeah, Like that's like my
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: north star to me, that's like a non negotiable if
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: I have to park outside the garage so that way
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: I can have like a functional gym the way I
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: want it. That's the bullet I want to buy. I always,
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: of course, I try and negotiate us both parking outside
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: the garage so that way the entire gym, the entire
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: garage can be a gym.
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: Yeah, my wife, he's like, no, no, no, no, that might
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: that might be the game plan. Because I have full
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: autonomy of the of the garage.
- 1:21:38Speaker 3: You can get Jill to park outside.
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: I don't think she'll want to park outside because she
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: is excited having a garage.
- 1:21:46Speaker 3: But remainder space full oftono, that's what I'm saying.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: You have a two car, you split in half, like
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: you have more than enough space to have a great gym.
- 1:21:54Speaker 2: And it is a two it's a true two car,
- 1:21:57Speaker 2: but it does have a nice little lip to the
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: of like workbench storage system, small home gym that with
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: the my car being out with like yeah.
- 1:22:10Speaker 3: Yeah, we're looking at it again.
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: It depends on how like if you're if you're up
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: for moving things around every time.
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: You want to pull in or pull out of the garage.
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: Like my strength coach from Nebraska, Like when I would
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: be at his house during COVID working out, when he
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: lived out in Nolansville, when he he had a job
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: here at Vanderbilt. Now he's at Oklahoma. Shot out Jamestobson,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: Come on, James. But he had a full setup and
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: all of his stuff was like against the wall. So
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: he take like the the bench. He take like the
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: bench and move it to stand it up up against
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: the wall so that way he could still pull into
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: the garage. Yeah, if he wanted to. And dude with me,
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: I'm lazy. So it's just I want the I want
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: the gym set up. I'll just probably get.
- 1:22:49Speaker 2: That I get because that's almost a workout in itself,
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: especially after you're done working out. Yeah, yeah, having to
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: put everything up, I'd be like, no, absolutely not the neighborhood.
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: My walking game, dude, is about too skyrocket. Not that
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: the last neighborhood didn't have hills in it, but this
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: nature trail, I'll send you pigs like I'll send y'
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: all videos goes around the whole neighborhood and it's like
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: in the trees. Yeah, lots of topography. My dang, dude,
- 1:23:19Speaker 2: this is like morning and evening walks are gonna be sick. Yeah.
- 1:23:21Speaker 3: I'm fired up for you, bro. I actually have one.
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: Since we're on the subject of papatine fit, I have
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: of a comment here in the papatine Fit game. We
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: also have oh before and after photos. Seems like we
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: got a big weight loss journey. Cameron Neil Hello, my
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: name is Cameron Neil. Father had been at Neil fourteen
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: months old and others on the way November twenty twenty six.
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: Come on, gngratulations Cameron, Come on. I wanted to reach
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: out regarding pet fit in the possibility of sharing my
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: story on the podcast. Less than four years ago. I
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: started my health journey at roughly three hundred and ninety
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: pounds around the same time I was preparing to ask
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: my wife's father for permission to marry or. He encouraged
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: me to begin taking my health heer and to start
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: making changes for my future and my family. Oh wow,
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: that's an awesome convo for father in law to have.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: That conversation stuck with me and became one of the
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: major turning points in my life. At the time, I
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: realized I need to make a serious change, not just
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: for myself, but for the people I love most. I
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: wanted to be around my kid's long term, to have
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: the energy to play with them, compete with them, and
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: truly be present as a father and husband. Since beginning
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: that journey, I've worked my way down to two hundred
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: and sixty five pounds it's about one hundred and thirty
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: pounds loss that is awesome, bro, and recently completed a marathon.
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: What once felt impossible became achievable through consistency, discipline, and
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: the motivation that fatherhood and family bring. This transformation has
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: been This transformation has been about far more than weight loss.
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: It has been about becoming the kind of man, husband,
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: and dad my family deserves, healthier, stronger, more active, and
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: able to fully participate in life instead of watching from
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: the sidelines. I believe there are a lot of fathers
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: out there who struggle with balancing family, work and health
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: and personal goals, and I love the opportunity to talk
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: about the mindset, shift, setbacks, training and motivation that helped
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: me transform my life. Thank you for your time and consideration.
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: I'd love the chance to connect further. Sorry for the
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: long message message, boys, I love you all. PTSIKO out
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: best regards. Cameron Neil. I'm the one in the All black.
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: That's big time, bro. Yes, so sick, that's big.
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: Time Cameron Neil. What a legend, dude. Three ninety to
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: what three ninety to two sixty five Jeffer Roony.
- 1:25:41Speaker 3: Yeah, he's he. I mean, he's right too, Like he
- 1:25:43Speaker 3: was a big boy in that one and then yeah,
- 1:25:45Speaker 3: he was a big boy.
- 1:25:47Speaker 4: Not that he looked bad then he looked comfortably big,
- 1:25:49Speaker 4: but like that looks like a man I would run marathon.
- 1:25:51Speaker 3: Yeah, he's like a big Well, this is a guy
- 1:25:53Speaker 3: right now.
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: This is a guy now who's down one hundred and
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: thirty pounds later and completed a marathon that would say, no,
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: you don't have to bullshit me.
- 1:25:59Speaker 3: Like that was big unhealthy, you know what I mean.
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: Sure, they just have like a different perspective on everything
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: now that they've achieved or they're getting in the in
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: the in the phase that they want to be in.
- 1:26:09Speaker 3: Yeah, he's right too.
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: Like dads who are like very much about the family
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: life and figuring out how to balance work life, family,
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: all it.
- 1:26:17Speaker 3: Number one, there is no such thing as as balance.
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: It's just prioritizing, and everybody does, myself included struggles quite
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: a bit at times when trying to find the balance
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: of work, personal goals, health, everything else. Obviously, we before
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: PT six started to come to become like a thing
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: for us. It was around like blood work and stuff
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: that me and you had gotten from going to the doctor.
- 1:26:41Speaker 3: And you just realized how stressful.
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: Things can be on you, like when you're not prioritizing
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: the right things and focusing on the right things.
- 1:26:47Speaker 2: Truly, how much of a difference. I'm not down any
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: significant way right now, I am truly not. I am, however,
- 1:26:57Speaker 2: probably down twenty pounds of I was when I first
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: moved here. And just the difference on and some blue
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: collar guy wrote in about PT fit of like walks
- 1:27:10Speaker 2: and how it helps his hip flexers in his back.
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: Do the difference of how I feel today after that move.
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: And I was moving more stuff.
- 1:27:19Speaker 3: This move than when I moved to Nashville.
- 1:27:22Speaker 2: Bro, you remember how wrecked my back was when I
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: first got Oh yeah, I mean I was having to
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: stretch like during every day during conversations. Is doing my
- 1:27:31Speaker 2: hiflexers doing my back. It's crazy with just that little
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: amount and I'm not even not even close to like
- 1:27:39Speaker 2: a weight goal or a you know whatever. My wife
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: and I were talking this morning because.
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: We're both just like it's it's obviously it's like making
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: those little choices in your routine because we'll stay up
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: till ten thirty eleven o'clock watching TV together, Like right
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: now we're watching Rooster Great easy show to watch, Funds comedy,
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: Steve Correll. It's like an easier watch compared to the
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: ones that types of shows we usually well, like watching Rude,
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: Sure Spin there, like twenty four twenty five minutes of Pope,
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: so just easy. And last few nights, like we've been
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: going to bed around like eleven or pa like in
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: between eleven and twelve, and we obviously like we get
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: up early, like she woke up this morning to go
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: hit a workout at six.
- 1:28:22Speaker 3: I got up to hit my workout.
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: It's just knowing that you're only getting six hours of
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: sleep at night, it's just like it's just not sustainable.
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: And if we continue to choose watching TV late, eventually
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: we're gonna start hitting snooze a lot. Well, like we're
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: gonna be sleeping because we know we're going to need
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: more sleep, so we're gonna sleep until seven, yeah, instead
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: of waking up early knowing that we need to take
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: care of our health because we're ultimately just every night
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: making the lazy decision of staying up late to watch TV.
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: And for some people that are like, oh that, the
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: healthy decision stuff, the healthy habits all that, how's that
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: fit into your parenting?
- 1:29:01Speaker 3: How does that fit into fatherhood?
- 1:29:03Speaker 2: Like that? Those seem like two separate things. One thing
- 1:29:06Speaker 2: that Jill and I were just talking about at dinner
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: with our parents or my mom and dad. We were
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: talking about how much it has helped with Jill and
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: I's sleep, with Jilla and I's eating schedule and eating habits,
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: of doing those family dinners that like by p thirty
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: six because Scarlet has to eat at that time too,
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: to go down for bed, instead of just doing Scarlet's
- 1:29:29Speaker 2: meals and all that prep and feed her blah blah blah.
- 1:29:31Speaker 3: Then she's down.
- 1:29:32Speaker 2: Now it's a thirty Oh we didn't do dinner, Hey,
- 1:29:35Speaker 2: let's get some you know, blame.
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: And by that time you're even hungrier eating, You're like hunger,
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: you don't want to sit here and cook anything or
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: and it's like, okay, let's maybe get on the apps
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: and order a salad.
- 1:29:45Speaker 3: You know you ain't gonna order a salad. No, And
- 1:29:48Speaker 3: I'm just gonna get takeout.
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: And I'm not trying to dog any brands, but like,
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: you know, the type of food that you're getting at
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: that time.
- 1:29:54Speaker 3: Yeah, so you're eating around nine nine thirty.
- 1:29:57Speaker 2: Yes, dude, And how much of a difference is it's
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: made of like some oven cook salmon that Jill's like
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: just popping in the oven, salt and pepper, olive, oiled,
- 1:30:06Speaker 2: nice and easy, with some grains. We're not doing anything
- 1:30:10Speaker 2: crazy like kin while or kale is just like sweet
- 1:30:13Speaker 2: potatoes and broccoli.
- 1:30:14Speaker 3: Like you can keep it so basic.
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: But I mean that that truly has done wonders in
- 1:30:19Speaker 2: Chef and I were talking this morning, just.
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: Those small like lifestyle changes because you're right, you're eating late,
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: and then if you were staying up late like I'm
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: just talking about with the example, then you're trying to
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: sleep in as long as you can until the kiddos
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: got to get up. But then when you're up rocking
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: around with the kiddos, like you're still tired, you're lethargic,
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: you're trying to rush out of the house. Then you
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: got to go into the chaos and stress of your
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: career and work, and you're running late for when your stress,
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: you're probably not giving the best energy to each other
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: or just in the house because you're all trying to
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: do whatever.
- 1:30:51Speaker 3: You try to do to get out of the house.
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: Then you go into work, and work could be a
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: soul suck. Then you get home and you kind of
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: do it all again. It's like, oh, I'm gonna choose
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: the easy right here. Let's get the kids fed, We'll
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: get the kid put down, then we'll order something like
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: our highlight then becomes what food are we going to
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: order at nighttime?
- 1:31:07Speaker 3: Together knowing that you're just doing these and it's small and.
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: It doesn't poke its head out until the time comes
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: when you go to a doctor's appoint where you go
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: to a doctor's visit and your stress levels are high,
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: your cholesterol is bad, your blood pressure's bad.
- 1:31:20Speaker 2: You're doing all these things. Pack that blood pressure thing again.
- 1:31:23Speaker 2: Do you have some coffee this morning? Yeah?
- 1:31:25Speaker 3: Fuck no?
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: I And to that point, then you're you're operating all
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: day on caffeine. Yeah, you're like doing all these small
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: decisions that grow into this massive snowball of bad momentum.
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: Then you're looking at yourself in the mirror one day,
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: like just upset and disappointed because you never got out
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: of the bad habits that holiday foods started to kind
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: of creep in and create.
- 1:31:43Speaker 9: Yeah, and honestly, speaking to myself, no, I was about
- 1:31:48Speaker 9: to say for myself being you know, a weight that
- 1:31:53Speaker 9: is definitely overweight.
- 1:31:55Speaker 2: The small winds that have accumulated over the past probably
- 1:32:02Speaker 2: three months are like talking with chef about like I'm
- 1:32:06Speaker 2: falling asleep at nine or nine thirty now instead of
- 1:32:09Speaker 2: twelve thirty or one, and now I'm waking up in
- 1:32:12Speaker 2: the morning with energy to be able to Hell, yeah,
- 1:32:16Speaker 2: let's go on a morning walk. Let's get the kid
- 1:32:19Speaker 2: in the thing and the dogs. Like I'm feeling gutsy,
- 1:32:23Speaker 2: I'm feeling confident. If you looked at a two week
- 1:32:25Speaker 2: stretch and said, hey, Sherman, of this two week stretch,
- 1:32:28Speaker 2: when did you fall asleep before ten? Can you choose
- 1:32:31Speaker 2: a night? Maybe one and now it's probably eight, Like
- 1:32:38Speaker 2: I fell asleep before ten o'clock, And it's crazy, how
- 1:32:41Speaker 2: much of a difference has made just in the office
- 1:32:44Speaker 2: and stress levels. Dude.
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: Yeah, because you accomplished something in the morning, and whether
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: or not you're just moving light mobility, going for a walk,
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: getting a workout in and sweating the vibes you feel
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: when you're making breakfast and getting everybody going and getting
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: everybody rolling you and WiFi.
- 1:32:58Speaker 3: You get a nice show, you get a shower, we're
- 1:33:00Speaker 3: you're doing.
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: You're able to get dressed the way you want to
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: get dressed, like all the things to where you have
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: now momentum going into work and just a better vibe
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: throughout the day because you know you got work in
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: that you can kind of hang your hat on when
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: you do have a little ice cream.
- 1:33:15Speaker 3: Yeah, have a little indulgence.
- 1:33:17Speaker 2: Yeah. And as much as we joke about if the
- 1:33:20Speaker 2: kids aren't sleeping, nothing's nothing's good, like nothing's right, it's
- 1:33:24Speaker 2: the same with the parents.
- 1:33:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:33:26Speaker 6: Man, I have a quick question while we're on pet fit.
- 1:33:30Speaker 6: This is for all the runners pet the Strava sikos
- 1:33:35Speaker 6: out there. My right foot keeps going numb when I
- 1:33:38Speaker 6: go on runs. I don't know what's going on. I've
- 1:33:41Speaker 6: read some stuff. It might be on my heel if
- 1:33:43Speaker 6: there's any like avid runners, Please tell me what's going on,
- 1:33:46Speaker 6: because it's starting to freak me out. I go on
- 1:33:48Speaker 6: long runs and I'm nine doing a loop and I'm
- 1:33:51Speaker 6: like out there, like in the neighborhood next and then
- 1:33:54Speaker 6: my whole right foot goes numb. It's very odd. So
- 1:33:57Speaker 6: if anyone knows an answer to that, please com it blow.
- 1:34:00Speaker 6: I'm kind of desperate.
- 1:34:01Speaker 3: Yeah, we'll look into that.
- 1:34:02Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll look into it. Come the ciccos look into it.
- 1:34:04Speaker 2: Give our boy some game. I got some pet fit
- 1:34:08Speaker 2: comments if I could read really quickly. Nick Lane from
- 1:34:11Speaker 2: Spotify says, I'm a cicco who's been a bit about
- 1:34:16Speaker 2: putting a bow on it on my pregnant wife. Still
- 1:34:19Speaker 2: have not munch on my wife's box. I've been busy,
- 1:34:23Speaker 2: but I.
- 1:34:23Speaker 3: Will be better. I will be better.

- 1:34:49Speaker 2: All our empty siccos you are carrying our little ones
- 1:34:52Speaker 2: are going through hell carrying our little futures. Is it
- 1:34:55Speaker 2: a little awkward at first? Yeah?
- 1:34:58Speaker 3: Good, get after it. I may get after it and
- 1:35:02Speaker 3: make the missus feel good.
- 1:35:04Speaker 2: It's a pt fit. Nick Lang right and thank you, Nick,
- 1:35:08Speaker 2: thank you. And then Jessica j Kelly rags in. She
- 1:35:11Speaker 2: says thank you for being absolute gems and explaining parenting
- 1:35:15Speaker 2: and a relatable, reliable and happy, sad tears kind of way.
- 1:35:19Speaker 2: My husband has been tuning in and references some of

- 1:42:16Speaker 2: Great family, Great family, Great family. Bailey Shane writes in
- 1:42:20Speaker 2: on Instagram, and she says, Hi for the dads. My
- 1:42:24Speaker 2: husband is a big fan of y'all, he tel. He
- 1:42:28Speaker 2: tells all his soon to be dad friends to follow
- 1:42:31Speaker 2: along because y'all helped him on his first time dad journey.
- 1:42:35Speaker 2: I wanted to shout out my husband for being a
- 1:42:37Speaker 2: rock star first time dad. He spent his first weekend
- 1:42:41Speaker 2: as a single dad with our six month old while
- 1:42:45Speaker 2: I went on a girl's trip. Let's go.
- 1:42:47Speaker 3: That's he How old was the kid? Six months? Wow,
- 1:42:50Speaker 3: Let's let's go.
- 1:42:51Speaker 2: Not only did I not have to stress about leaving
- 1:42:54Speaker 2: my baby boy for the first time, but my husband
- 1:42:56Speaker 2: rocked it. He knew the schedule, the beatings, every thing.
- 1:43:00Speaker 2: I came home to my boys happy and flowers in
- 1:43:03Speaker 2: my favorite vase. Dude, I love this dad.
- 1:43:09Speaker 3: Let's go. Did she ever say his name? She never
- 1:43:12Speaker 3: says his name, mister Shane, well done, well done. That right.
- 1:43:17Speaker 2: There is the write up of write ups you need
- 1:43:20Speaker 2: in the first year of fatherhood. That's the report card
- 1:43:23Speaker 2: comes home. Yeah, and that's like that's on the fridge.
- 1:43:26Speaker 3: Yeah, ye, yeah, that's on the fridge.
- 1:43:28Speaker 1: That right there is exactly what your wife needs when
- 1:43:32Speaker 1: you have a newborn ye or maybe six months old,
- 1:43:36Speaker 1: Like the anxiety that mom feels to leave the kid
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: for the first time and knowing that Dad absolutely knocks
- 1:43:42Speaker 1: it out of the park, knowing everything that needs to
- 1:43:44Speaker 1: be done like that is what you strive for. So wife,
- 1:43:48Speaker 1: you can go and try to have the most care
- 1:43:49Speaker 1: free time. She's gonna be wanting photos and videos and
- 1:43:52Speaker 1: check ins because it's super hard for mom to leave
- 1:43:55Speaker 1: like dad, I guess it is, too, but not close
- 1:43:58Speaker 1: to not close to mama bear. Yeah, dude, it's not
- 1:44:01Speaker 1: knowing you not go out of the park when they're
- 1:44:02Speaker 1: gone or giving them like you see it. Mama's stressed.
- 1:44:07Speaker 1: You guys have been in the trenches for a while now.
- 1:44:09Speaker 1: Newborn doing all the things mom clearly is the is
- 1:44:13Speaker 1: the glue to it all. Yeah, you as the man,
- 1:44:16Speaker 1: as dad, as husband need to identify like yo, she
- 1:44:20Speaker 1: needs to go have a weekend with the girls or
- 1:44:23Speaker 1: go do something, and I need to let her know
- 1:44:25Speaker 1: that I have everything fully on lock because she needs
- 1:44:27Speaker 1: to disconnect, go find her identity of a pre motherhood
- 1:44:32Speaker 1: a little bit like just let her hair down, go
- 1:44:34Speaker 1: have fun, get her set up with a massage, get
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: her set up wherever it is, just to where they
- 1:44:39Speaker 1: go and do their thing and try to disconnect as
- 1:44:43Speaker 1: much as they can.
- 1:44:44Speaker 2: It truly feels like a first round of the playoffs
- 1:44:46Speaker 2: where your star quarterback gets hurt going into the first
- 1:44:50Speaker 2: round of the playoffs. He just has to miss a week.
- 1:44:53Speaker 2: If we get past this one playoff game with our backup, yeap,
- 1:44:58Speaker 2: we know we're going to the super Bowl. Yeah, And
- 1:45:00Speaker 2: there's no better feeling than that starting quarterback being on
- 1:45:04Speaker 2: the sidelines with a hoodie and a clipboard and a
- 1:45:06Speaker 2: headset and he's watching QB two operate out there, and he's.
- 1:45:10Speaker 4: Just got a smile on his face, going, yeah, buddy, Yeah,
- 1:45:15Speaker 4: it's a good feeling.
- 1:45:16Speaker 3: It's a good feeling. It's a great feeling.
- 1:45:17Speaker 2: Kyle Smith wrote in a dad hack, I'll keep it
- 1:45:20Speaker 2: very brief. His dad hack is essentially when baby goes
- 1:45:24Speaker 2: down for a nap and we're talking little babies, little babies,
- 1:45:27Speaker 2: when they're doing the little three hour sleep shit eat
- 1:45:31Speaker 2: sleep shit eat. You got new born, Yeah, let mama
- 1:45:35Speaker 2: get her rest during those little three hour breaks. Wherever
- 1:45:39Speaker 2: you can find for her to get some napagin and
- 1:45:42Speaker 2: he said, while she's snapping and baby snapping, go do
- 1:45:45Speaker 2: some dishes, dad hack, he said, ninety nine point nine
- 1:45:49Speaker 2: percent of the time. It works every time, and you
- 1:45:52Speaker 2: may even get a bow on it, may even get
- 1:45:54Speaker 2: a baby.
- 1:45:56Speaker 3: Maybe maybe that new in the game. Oh, but me doubtful.
- 1:46:00Speaker 2: But ninety nine point nine percent of the time, Mama
- 1:46:03Speaker 2: wakes up from a nap and the island's clean and
- 1:46:05Speaker 2: the clutter is decluttered. Wait, you wash my pump parts too? Yeah,
- 1:46:11Speaker 2: I don't even have to wash but what's that?
- 1:46:12Speaker 1: That's game for any dads on the way, any dad's
- 1:46:15Speaker 1: on the way, That is game right there.
- 1:46:17Speaker 2: You wash those pump parts, dude, that's like, I don't
- 1:46:21Speaker 2: mean to like, I'm truly trying to keep it PG,
- 1:46:23Speaker 2: but you start washing pump parts and bottle parts, you're
- 1:46:27Speaker 2: talking dirty, real dirty.
- 1:46:29Speaker 1: But again, you got to finish the job with decluttering
- 1:46:32Speaker 1: the island or decluttering the areas that give mom a
- 1:46:35Speaker 1: little strap half to dude, Now you're just whispering sweet nothing,
- 1:46:38Speaker 1: So yeah, into her ear.
- 1:46:39Speaker 3: That's a second effort that they talk about.
- 1:46:41Speaker 2: Yeah, voicemails and emails, let's do it. Six to ozho
- 1:46:48Speaker 2: one the dad's you call in, you leave a voicemail,
- 1:46:51Speaker 2: We play it on the show.
- 1:46:53Speaker 3: We got four this week. First one is titled good
- 1:47:05Speaker 3: good Yeah. Is that it? That's it? Yeah?
- 1:47:10Speaker 2: Yeah, that was left by anonymous. That was left by anonymous,
- 1:47:15Speaker 2: and I think we kind of got.
- 1:47:17Speaker 3: The gist of it. You know, he's in the trenches.
- 1:47:21Speaker 2: Hey, and that dude that was It's weird when you've
- 1:47:26Speaker 2: had a kid. You know the difference between a newborn
- 1:47:29Speaker 2: cry and a ten month old cry, a two year
- 1:47:32Speaker 2: old cry. That's his newborn, that's fresh out of the hospital.
- 1:47:37Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that's amusing his resources too.
- 1:47:40Speaker 2: Yeah like that.
- 1:47:42Speaker 1: Those are moments where you're just ain't nobody coming to
- 1:47:45Speaker 1: save you. You ain't getting out of this before I last out,
- 1:47:49Speaker 1: let me hit the hot line.
- 1:47:52Speaker 2: You know how much better he fell after he hung up,
- 1:47:55Speaker 2: He went, that wasn't so bad. Yeah, let's get you
- 1:48:00Speaker 2: to sleep in twelve hours or whenever you pass out.
- 1:48:07Speaker 3: Hey, what's up, guys?
- 1:48:08Speaker 2: You got mad here in northern Minnesota.
- 1:48:10Speaker 8: Uh, just calling in as more of a favor from
- 1:48:13Speaker 8: us blue collar dads out here, since you know, the
- 1:48:17Speaker 8: higher ups and Ollipop didn't know if they were open
- 1:48:20Speaker 8: to suggestions. Maybe, uh, perhaps some fud light flavored lollipop,
- 1:48:26Speaker 8: something to keep us motivated throughout the week, keep us
- 1:48:28Speaker 8: on our a game.
- 1:48:31Speaker 3: This maybe doctored.
- 1:48:36Speaker 2: He wouldn't flavor that.
- 1:48:39Speaker 3: I'm sure another.
- 1:48:42Speaker 2: Brand that we couldn't put on there, bud Light. Bro
- 1:48:52Speaker 2: I was like, how did the doctor's voicemail that was
- 1:48:55Speaker 2: to be a lot of time that was funny, brand appropriate.
- 1:48:58Speaker 3: It's like, it's not even yet.
- 1:49:00Speaker 8: That was just calling in as more of a favor
- 1:49:02Speaker 8: for most blue collar dads out here, since you know,
- 1:49:05Speaker 8: the higher ups and Ollipop didn't know if they were
- 1:49:08Speaker 8: open to suggestions. Maybe, uh, perhaps some bud light flavored ollipop,
- 1:49:15Speaker 8: something to keep us motivated throughout the week, keep us
- 1:49:17Speaker 8: on our a game, making me zero percent, so that
- 1:49:20Speaker 8: way those of us that work with like electricity and
- 1:49:22Speaker 8: drive truck can still enjoy some as it goes. But yeah,
- 1:49:27Speaker 8: look into it, look into it, of course, but yeah,
- 1:49:30Speaker 8: call me back, let me know, love you guys.
- 1:49:32Speaker 3: Beer beer some But why ollipop I just invented not
- 1:49:42Speaker 3: alcoholic beer?
- 1:49:48Speaker 2: He really did. Wait till we call we come broddy,
- 1:49:52Speaker 2: do we have a dolli bop for you? Ship rips
- 1:50:00Speaker 2: this for eighty years Why, uh, this is always keep grinding.
- 1:50:06Speaker 3: He's just looking for a non alcoholic beer.
- 1:50:08Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that did truly. This one's titled no More Binky.
- 1:50:16Speaker 3: Oh it's a big win boys.
- 1:50:18Speaker 7: It was Colby from Indiana twenty four year old, dad,
- 1:50:21Speaker 7: if it's twenty month old, looking for advice because we
- 1:50:24Speaker 7: are going through the ship right now. I'm trying to
- 1:50:28Speaker 7: figure out how to wean this girl off of the
- 1:50:31Speaker 7: binky during bedtime. Yeah, every time she prusures her teeth,
- 1:50:35Speaker 7: she instantly starts screaming, crying, fussing up until we get
- 1:50:39Speaker 7: those sleepsych on her and the baky in her hand.
- 1:50:42Speaker 7: Anything to mitigate the crying and screaming and shit since
- 1:50:45Speaker 7: we live in an apartment. But again, any advice on
- 1:50:49Speaker 7: how to weed a baby off of the binkie at
- 1:50:50Speaker 7: that time, we much appreciated. Love you boys.
- 1:50:54Speaker 3: How old's a baby? I don't know if he said,
- 1:50:57Speaker 3: I'll play it one more.
- 1:51:01Speaker 2: Boys, National champion.
- 1:51:07Speaker 3: Twenty almost almost two years old.
- 1:51:12Speaker 1: Yeah, look for me and my experience, Rude didn't get
- 1:51:16Speaker 1: off the passy until.
- 1:51:19Speaker 2: Was it three yeah, three years old because our marriage
- 1:51:23Speaker 2: coming over that one day and we.
- 1:51:24Speaker 3: Tried it too. Yep. Yeah, it's it's it's it's a battle.
- 1:51:29Speaker 3: I feel for my guy. It is a battle.
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: There's there's different options. Yeah, you can just cold turkey
- 1:51:34Speaker 1: and you're gonna have to go through the suck for
- 1:51:36Speaker 1: a minute.
- 1:51:36Speaker 3: We obviously didn't choose that route.
- 1:51:38Speaker 1: We chose a route to where you know, say baby's
- 1:51:40Speaker 1: twenty months old, like knowing that two is coming up
- 1:51:42Speaker 1: twenty at twenty four months, like with with Rue at
- 1:51:46Speaker 1: three years old. Because again we tried dabbling with it
- 1:51:49Speaker 1: at two, yep, and it just did not work out
- 1:51:52Speaker 1: in our favor. We told Rude that she was going
- 1:51:56Speaker 1: to give the passy to the passi ferry that's right
- 1:52:00Speaker 1: to the store where they have like a passy ferry
- 1:52:02Speaker 1: where you can exchange and turn into all of your
- 1:52:04Speaker 1: bankies and you get a toy or stuffy from the
- 1:52:07Speaker 1: passy faerry. So we just like made it a thing
- 1:52:10Speaker 1: to where we're gonna go in and give the passy
- 1:52:11Speaker 1: to a passy faerry. Yeah, it sucks for a moment,
- 1:52:14Speaker 1: but I mean, obviously she's not having one now, and
- 1:52:18Speaker 1: I know, like what I was worried about is when
- 1:52:20Speaker 1: they have the passy, their teeth will get pushed out
- 1:52:23Speaker 1: a little bit. Yep, Ruth's teeth are fine now, so
- 1:52:26Speaker 1: they come back in place. I wouldn't put too much
- 1:52:28Speaker 1: pressure on yourself to feel like you have to get
- 1:52:30Speaker 1: out of the binkie phase.
- 1:52:33Speaker 3: Again.
- 1:52:33Speaker 1: That's coming from a place of like I have zero judgment.
- 1:52:36Speaker 1: Like ru had a passing until three years old, I
- 1:52:38Speaker 1: was also dead that wished she wouldn't have had a
- 1:52:40Speaker 1: binkie pass two. Yeah, and you're asking the questions, how
- 1:52:43Speaker 1: do we get her all blah blah blah, But it's
- 1:52:44Speaker 1: just a war bro because she her self soothing was
- 1:52:47Speaker 1: with the passy and with Tige.
- 1:52:50Speaker 2: My my mom tells a story about how they basically
- 1:52:53Speaker 2: turned me into a sith lord as far as the
- 1:52:56Speaker 2: binkies went. They sniped my binkies at two. That means
- 1:53:01Speaker 2: you just cut the tip off right so they have
- 1:53:03Speaker 2: no no suck, is no air in there. So we
- 1:53:06Speaker 2: tried that with a rube, but it didn't phase her
- 1:53:08Speaker 2: like she would still use you would still use she
- 1:53:10Speaker 2: would still use it. Yeah, was a sickle for the beacon,
- 1:53:13Speaker 2: so for the snip thing. For me, it turned me
- 1:53:16Speaker 2: into literally an evil person. That my one thing that
- 1:53:21Speaker 2: I hated on this earth was my passes that have
- 1:53:24Speaker 2: betrayed me. I was I was putting them in my
- 1:53:27Speaker 2: mouth trying to suck them and just thrown them up
- 1:53:29Speaker 2: against the wall and being like, what what have my
- 1:53:32Speaker 2: beinkies done?
- 1:53:33Speaker 3: You remember this? No, my mom just tells the story
- 1:53:36Speaker 3: because I was gonna fall and say how old were Yeah?
- 1:53:38Speaker 3: How old? He was like, oh seven? Seven dude, sue me.
- 1:53:43Speaker 2: You just sat there and said you weren't judging anybody.
- 1:53:50Speaker 3: On the show. But uh yeah, I like Scotti.
- 1:53:53Speaker 1: I feel like will be easier than There was a
- 1:53:55Speaker 1: moment where she used had to take a couple of naps,
- 1:53:57Speaker 1: like without the passy, and she's handled the naps just
- 1:54:00Speaker 1: she just it seems like she just she'll have she
- 1:54:02Speaker 1: calls a pat path. Yeah, you have Lama in one hand,
- 1:54:05Speaker 1: and she'll even though the web and ub the pass
- 1:54:07Speaker 1: he fell off Lama. She doesn't rock with like the
- 1:54:10Speaker 1: og just the regular looking pacifiers. She doesn't mess with
- 1:54:13Speaker 1: any of those. It has to be the one that's
- 1:54:15Speaker 1: from Tiger, or it has to be the one that's
- 1:54:17Speaker 1: from her web, and of Lama, that's the only one
- 1:54:19Speaker 1: she uses. And again she's hit a couple of nuts
- 1:54:21Speaker 1: without it. I think Scotty will be much easier. Yeah,
- 1:54:23Speaker 1: because we're we I'm assuming that Jar and I are
- 1:54:26Speaker 1: both eyeing the two years old because we feel like
- 1:54:28Speaker 1: Scotty will be much easier than Rue was. Rue was
- 1:54:30Speaker 1: addicted to it, so it just felt like a war.
- 1:54:32Speaker 1: We tried the poking holes or kind of messing them
- 1:54:36Speaker 1: up a little bit, but she would just ruse the
- 1:54:39Speaker 1: sickle for the binkies.
- 1:54:41Speaker 2: It feels like it sounds like from what I've been told,
- 1:54:43Speaker 2: it's very similar to like learning how to ride a
- 1:54:45Speaker 2: bike that some of your kids literally first time you
- 1:54:48Speaker 2: push them and they're peddling and you're like, oh damn,
- 1:54:50Speaker 2: they got it on. It's like, hey, it took like
- 1:54:53Speaker 2: a month for them to learn how to swim how
- 1:54:55Speaker 2: to do the bike. Scarlet very much feels like a
- 1:54:59Speaker 2: Scott Sillis situation where.
- 1:55:02Speaker 3: Her love for the pass He has.
- 1:55:04Speaker 2: Grown a bit and Jill was seeing that and was like, Okay,
- 1:55:08Speaker 2: we're gonna limit pass He. Then for her, that's a
- 1:55:11Speaker 2: good move to like kind of keep a distance from
- 1:55:14Speaker 2: her in Passy, and that kind of got her back
- 1:55:17Speaker 2: to like she's just kind of indifferent about the pass Heed. Yeah,
- 1:55:20Speaker 2: out it's like, oh, Okay, I'll put it in my
- 1:55:22Speaker 2: mouth if I find it on the ground.
- 1:55:24Speaker 1: Yeah, and to my man, the Indiana National champion they
- 1:55:26Speaker 1: called in twenty four with a twenty month old. Yeah,
- 1:55:29Speaker 1: you can limit in a lot of different ways, Like
- 1:55:31Speaker 1: say you go on a car ride and you're just
- 1:55:32Speaker 1: kind of try you're just trying to explain to them,
- 1:55:34Speaker 1: we're not taking passy on the car ride, or we're
- 1:55:36Speaker 1: not taking pass you in these certain situations, you can
- 1:55:38Speaker 1: have your passy. Because we would do all this stuff
- 1:55:40Speaker 1: try and do all this stuff through towards she would
- 1:55:42Speaker 1: only have her passy when she was sleeping, so nap
- 1:55:45Speaker 1: time or bedtime she would have passy and we'd wean
- 1:55:48Speaker 1: her off throughout the other windows of the day. And
- 1:55:51Speaker 1: then eventually we did the whole tooth fairy or the
- 1:55:54Speaker 1: old passy fairy thing when she turned three years old. Yeah,
- 1:55:56Speaker 1: because she was still kind of rocking with the passy
- 1:55:58Speaker 1: up until three.
- 1:55:59Speaker 3: And I know they have it looks similar to like.
- 1:56:01Speaker 2: The wedding the bed situation that I talked about where
- 1:56:05Speaker 2: my parents read this book and it only took two nights.
- 1:56:09Speaker 2: They had done everything under the sun. The little alarm
- 1:56:11Speaker 2: systems that like go off and all this stuff. And
- 1:56:15Speaker 2: there's this book that they read and they only had
- 1:56:17Speaker 2: to read it to me twice, and I stopped wedding
- 1:56:19Speaker 2: the bed and then you get that thing for pastes.
- 1:56:23Speaker 1: I know, dude, for me, That's what I'm saying. You
- 1:56:25Speaker 1: know how many days has been since I went the bed?
- 1:56:29Speaker 1: You just told me to take a eight eight days?
- 1:56:37Speaker 3: Three? Oh man, happened again the weekend.
- 1:56:44Speaker 4: I like to think there's just a chalkboard in your house.
- 1:56:46Speaker 4: Well with your racing, put a big zero days since
- 1:56:49Speaker 4: we'll wet them.
- 1:56:49Speaker 2: I needed to have that. I need to get that
- 1:56:51Speaker 2: meme going. Got to get it.
- 1:56:53Speaker 1: I fucking pissed the bed over the weekend this Friday night.
- 1:56:58Speaker 1: So Saturday woke up that kind of went to bed.
- 1:57:02Speaker 1: I kind of didn't say anything, but I'm upstairs because
- 1:57:05Speaker 1: Ru's having a meltdown because she peed the bed, and
- 1:57:08Speaker 1: I'm trying to soothe Rue and it's good. I'm getting
- 1:57:10Speaker 1: impatient trying to soothe Rue. I'm like, dude, dead is
- 1:57:13Speaker 1: up here? Like, dude, you went to bed.
- 1:57:15Speaker 3: It's okay. I just went to bed. You're like, it's
- 1:57:17Speaker 3: all good.
- 1:57:17Speaker 2: You're Bruce Wilson die Hard just Welcome to a party Pound.
- 1:57:21Speaker 1: Because char eventually, like when we were making the bed,
- 1:57:23Speaker 1: She's like, hey, did you pee the bed last night?
- 1:57:26Speaker 2: And I was like yeah, It's like, when were you
- 1:57:29Speaker 2: gonna say anything. I was like, I don't know. I
- 1:57:30Speaker 2: was gonna try and wash the I'm thinking of my head,
- 1:57:32Speaker 2: I'm going to try and wash the wash the sheets.
- 1:57:36Speaker 3: And char just making a coffee in the morning.
- 1:57:39Speaker 1: And you heard she she knew because we had the
- 1:57:42Speaker 1: monitor on because Rue was screaming.
- 1:57:45Speaker 3: So I just went ahead and turned off the monitor.
- 1:57:47Speaker 3: Told you told her out loud, Hey, dad.
- 1:57:49Speaker 2: Pitched the best and she heard me on the monitor
- 1:57:52Speaker 2: upstairs in Rue's room because she's like, I can tell
- 1:57:55Speaker 2: you're getting in patient with her, and you're like, dude,
- 1:57:56Speaker 2: it's okay.
- 1:57:57Speaker 3: I pissed the bed just last night. I go downstairs.
- 1:58:00Speaker 3: Is a Joe Yet.
- 1:58:05Speaker 2: Charles's making her coffee. She's just in her little she's
- 1:58:09Speaker 2: in her little nineties. She's got her bathrobe and it's
- 1:58:11Speaker 2: morning time and she's just mixing her coffee, and the
- 1:58:13Speaker 2: little monitors just.
- 1:58:14Speaker 3: Right there in the kitchen.
- 1:58:16Speaker 2: Screwed.
- 1:58:17Speaker 3: It's fun to piss a bed last day. Just get
- 1:58:20Speaker 3: out come here. She's still downstairs. She's still downstairs in bed,
- 1:58:25Speaker 3: just listening to the monitor.
- 1:58:27Speaker 1: She's like, I thought I felt something on my knee,
- 1:58:32Speaker 1: but she's like, I didn't know if it was just
- 1:58:33Speaker 1: because we have the the eight sleep, like if it
- 1:58:35Speaker 1: was just cool on yourself.
- 1:58:37Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, ain't nothing wrong age, not wrong with the bed.
- 1:58:45Speaker 3: Ain't nothing wrong with who told you that?
- 1:58:50Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:58:50Speaker 3: Yeah, what the fuck?
- 1:58:53Speaker 1: Who said I pissed a bad But just just to
- 1:58:55Speaker 1: clear the record the eight days ago?
- 1:58:57Speaker 2: Where'd you get that? When we're talking, I told you
- 1:59:02Speaker 2: eight days ago, we were just you had called me up.
- 1:59:04Speaker 2: I mean, hey, how are things going? You're like fucking
- 1:59:07Speaker 2: piss a bed, you know, blah blah blah. We're just
- 1:59:09Speaker 2: like when we were catching up the other day on
- 1:59:11Speaker 2: the phone. Yeah, yeah, oh I told you.
- 1:59:13Speaker 3: I'm oh gotcha. Well I'm saying I'm not like a regular.
- 1:59:18Speaker 3: Just to clear the record, I'm not a regular eight
- 1:59:20Speaker 3: days ago, three days ago.
- 1:59:21Speaker 2: I just want to make I just want to make
- 1:59:23Speaker 2: it clear.
- 1:59:24Speaker 3: I did not call serpent. It though my piss some
- 1:59:26Speaker 3: bad eight days.
- 1:59:27Speaker 1: Usually I wake up and catch myself if it's like
- 1:59:29Speaker 1: on one side of my hip. Yeah, like in the
- 1:59:31Speaker 1: middle of peeing yeah, yeah, and that probably happens a
- 1:59:35Speaker 1: couple times a year, but this one was I slipped
- 1:59:39Speaker 1: through and I wet the bed.
- 1:59:40Speaker 3: You're like brown ass Man thirty six with them.
- 1:59:43Speaker 2: There's like the people. It's like, hey, I'm not you know,
- 1:59:46Speaker 2: I'm not an alcoholic. I just socially drank you socially
- 1:59:50Speaker 2: pissed a bad Yeah.
- 1:59:52Speaker 1: I was doing some research on it, and it's not
- 1:59:54Speaker 1: a bad weather. I've mild like sleep apnea. And they say,
- 1:59:57Speaker 1: like apnea, people can be social. That makes sense because
- 2:00:02Speaker 1: something that doesn't like trigger your brain when it's happening. Yeah,
- 2:00:05Speaker 1: because obviously, like I I wet the bed frequently until
- 2:00:08Speaker 1: about fourteen years old, and then I was like different spots.
- 2:00:11Speaker 1: So like on average that average would be like twice
- 2:00:16Speaker 1: a year down to once a year in college.
- 2:00:20Speaker 2: As a captain of the Nebraska the Nebraska Corners.
- 2:00:24Speaker 3: Yeah, and then maybe maybe there was a maybe there
- 2:00:27Speaker 3: was a run where it was like once every other year.
- 2:00:29Speaker 5: Your captain who has not pissed the bed in eight
- 2:00:32Speaker 5: months will come dead.
- 2:00:39Speaker 2: Cold.
- 2:00:39Speaker 3: I'll be messed it up.
- 2:00:45Speaker 2: Shut out the bed wetters in the Chapman beds. Hey,
- 2:00:49Speaker 2: we need a good comment. Call out we haven't had
- 2:00:52Speaker 2: one in a bit. Maybe put down the last time
- 2:00:55Speaker 2: you went the bed in the comments, Yeah, I would
- 2:00:57Speaker 2: love to see if Dad's out there?
- 2:01:00Speaker 3: Who else is a social uh that way? I'll be honest.
- 2:01:03Speaker 1: This is one obviously like a embarrassing thing to talk
- 2:01:07Speaker 1: about that I truly wonder in my head, are there
- 2:01:11Speaker 1: any others out there?
- 2:01:13Speaker 2: You need this community? Dude, PT pissos, you need PT piss.
- 2:01:23Speaker 3: Like in your like do you guys know anybody?
- 2:01:26Speaker 1: But knowing myself like me like on this, like I'm
- 2:01:29Speaker 1: trying to put it out in the world and wonder
- 2:01:31Speaker 1: if there are others because I know in my head
- 2:01:34Speaker 1: being in this mental space unless I was just like
- 2:01:39Speaker 1: if I didn't do this, like I would never people
- 2:01:41Speaker 1: wouldn't know, like I wouldn't talk about it, and you'd
- 2:01:43Speaker 1: be in your head about it, yeah, like I would.
- 2:01:45Speaker 1: This would be suppressed as low as you can possibly
- 2:01:46Speaker 1: suppress them.
- 2:01:47Speaker 2: But you're opening yourself up to an audience and you're
- 2:01:50Speaker 2: basically saying open invite if you're.
- 2:01:52Speaker 3: A part of Popatine piss Just but Willie.
- 2:01:55Speaker 2: Boy got your back, Puppete thirty six Days Clean, Popatine.
- 2:01:59Speaker 4: PiZZ There's no way you're the only one, but you
- 2:02:02Speaker 4: are the one talking about it first, so more will
- 2:02:04Speaker 4: come out.
- 2:02:05Speaker 3: Piss Team six.
- 2:02:06Speaker 4: Also on you're the one that's saying, hey, guys, look
- 2:02:10Speaker 4: like there's no way the three of us don't know somebody.
- 2:02:14Speaker 4: I'm a sleepwalking pisser. That's a long line of Whitens
- 2:02:18Speaker 4: that get drunk and sleepwalking pee and corner. There you go,

- 2:05:21Speaker 3: download attachment. That's the video and the voice of interesting.
- 2:05:26Speaker 3: Uh oh, boys. My name is Chad.
- 2:05:30Speaker 2: I'm from Columbia, Missouri, and iou coach drink friend of
- 2:05:35Speaker 2: the program.
- 2:05:36Speaker 3: My wife and I are expecting our first child.
- 2:05:38Speaker 2: We had a little bit of a journey to get
- 2:05:40Speaker 2: to this point where we tried for over a year
- 2:05:42Speaker 2: and a half and then finally God bless us and
- 2:05:46Speaker 2: said it was our time. This weekend, surrounded by family
- 2:05:50Speaker 2: and loved ones, I got to find out that I'm
- 2:05:52Speaker 2: going to be a girl dad. I was already nervous
- 2:05:54Speaker 2: for fatherhood, but now that I'm having a little girl,
- 2:05:57Speaker 2: the nervousness doubled, but also the excited I've been tripled.
- 2:06:01Speaker 2: I know I'm going to be an awesome girl dad,
- 2:06:02Speaker 2: and I'm super excited for all the adventures there to come.
- 2:06:05Speaker 2: I found this podcast right after we found out that
- 2:06:08Speaker 2: we were pregnant, and I started back from the beginning
- 2:06:11Speaker 2: so I could catch up and listen to all the stories.
- 2:06:13Speaker 2: So it's been really awesome to see what girl dad
- 2:06:16Speaker 2: life is all about. Having Sherman Willie Winshelf to listen
- 2:06:19Speaker 2: to every Wednesday about their experiences is definitely going to
- 2:06:23Speaker 2: help me through our first couple of good moments. My
- 2:06:27Speaker 2: trash is out every week, dishes are done almost daily,
- 2:06:32Speaker 2: and my Mama Team sixer is always taken care of.
- 2:06:36Speaker 3: Check out our video. The song is a banger.
- 2:06:39Speaker 2: Chad Future Ptsiko out and will I've heard tale of
- 2:06:45Speaker 2: this video.
- 2:06:47Speaker 3: We'll have it.
- 2:06:48Speaker 2: I'll play it for you right now, Chef will play
- 2:06:52Speaker 2: on the screen for our audience.
- 2:07:05Speaker 10: All right, this is future six checking in right now.
- 2:07:08Speaker 10: I'll hit this golf ball and figure out exactly what
- 2:07:10Speaker 10: we're expecting. A boy or a girl's So'm like.
- 2:07:34Speaker 3: Yeah, burs on my timeline Twitter. Congratulations.
- 2:07:48Speaker 2: You know the mother in law loved it, loved it.
- 2:07:54Speaker 2: What's he? What's he?
- 2:07:55Speaker 3: What song is that? Why is he playing that song?
- 2:07:58Speaker 3: Is that there? Rap music by Kyle Loves cuss words
- 2:08:01Speaker 3: in it? What is scrilla? What does skraala? Did he
- 2:08:06Speaker 3: have a plane while he was hitting the ball? Oh yeah?
- 2:08:09Speaker 3: Or was this posted it?
- 2:08:10Speaker 2: Oh no, that's definitely he's playing that in the back
- 2:08:12Speaker 2: of you do that is awesome?
- 2:08:13Speaker 3: Yeah, congratulations on being a girl dead bro, he murdered it.
- 2:08:17Speaker 2: He murdered it. You know he wanted to see the
- 2:08:20Speaker 2: blue Yeah he did, but he was stoked. We've all
- 2:08:23Speaker 2: been there. He'll change his mind. Yeah.
- 2:08:26Speaker 1: This one is from Anthony Barges Junior or Bargas. Hello,
- 2:08:32Speaker 1: Willie One, Chef Sherminader Deacon Chef. My name is Coach Bargas.
- 2:08:36Speaker 1: I coached high school football down here in East Texas,
- 2:08:39Speaker 1: and I wanted to write into the show because this
- 2:08:41Speaker 1: past Mother's Day was incredibly special for my wife and I.
- 2:08:44Speaker 1: I'm the youngest grandchild on my dad's side, so growing
- 2:08:46Speaker 1: up I got to watch my older cousins build beautiful families.
- 2:08:50Speaker 1: One of my favorite things was seeing my grandma be
- 2:08:52Speaker 1: there for it all birthdays, holidays, babies, memories. She loved
- 2:08:56Speaker 1: every second of being a grandma and great grandmother. I
- 2:08:59Speaker 1: got married too years ago, and ever since then, we've
- 2:09:02Speaker 1: basically been in Bud's training trying to have a baby.
- 2:09:05Speaker 1: We weren't having much luck, so I finally made an
- 2:09:08Speaker 1: appointment to.
- 2:09:09Speaker 3: Get some tests done.
- 2:09:10Speaker 1: At the beginning of this year, my grandma was placed
- 2:09:12Speaker 1: on hospice. I was able to visit her a few times,
- 2:09:15Speaker 1: but at the end of February God brought her home.
- 2:09:17Speaker 1: It was obviously heartbreaking for our family, but I truly
- 2:09:20Speaker 1: believe she blessed us one last time. Right before the funeral,
- 2:09:23Speaker 1: my wife told me she wasn't feeling well and that
- 2:09:25Speaker 1: she was late. This had happened before, so we tried
- 2:09:28Speaker 1: not to get her hopes up. On the way, we
- 2:09:30Speaker 1: stopped at the store so we could grab a pregnancy test.
- 2:09:34Speaker 1: She went into the bathroom and when she walked out,
- 2:09:36Speaker 1: she had this huge smile on her face, and I
- 2:09:37Speaker 1: looked at her and said, stop playing with me. I
- 2:09:40Speaker 1: rushed over to see the test for myself, and sure enough, boys,
- 2:09:44Speaker 1: it said pregnant. After two years of trying, in the
- 2:09:47Speaker 1: middle of grieving my grandma, God blessed us with our
- 2:09:49Speaker 1: first baby. My wife has been an absolute champ through
- 2:09:52Speaker 1: these first fourteen weeks of pregnancy, and this Mother's Day
- 2:09:57Speaker 1: was her very first one. I got her a nice
- 2:09:59Speaker 1: Mother's Day gift, including the for the mom's shirt attached photo,
- 2:10:03Speaker 1: and we also did our gender reveal. Boys, I'm going
- 2:10:08Speaker 1: to be a girl dad. And I also want to
- 2:10:11Speaker 1: give a huge shout out to my wife. I truly
- 2:10:12Speaker 1: cannot wait to watch her become a mom. She's the
- 2:10:15Speaker 1: strongest woman I know, and our daughter is going to
- 2:10:17Speaker 1: have the absolute best role model growing up. Our little Aubriella,
- 2:10:23Speaker 1: Aubriella It's a beautiful name, is due November sixth, which
- 2:10:28Speaker 1: just so happens to be a Friday. We'll cross that
- 2:10:30Speaker 1: bridge when we get there. During football season, I always
- 2:10:33Speaker 1: make sure my daughter knows about our great Grandma Bargas
- 2:10:37Speaker 1: and the incredible woman that she was. Thank y'all for
- 2:10:39Speaker 1: everything you do. I love listening to the show over
- 2:10:41Speaker 1: week and giving my wife a full synopsis of all
- 2:10:45Speaker 1: the dad hacks, stories and chaos from the episode. Hashtag
- 2:10:48Speaker 1: bet Sikoh, hashtag girl Dad love y'all boys, the Bargases,
- 2:10:52Speaker 1: Victoria and Anthony.
- 2:10:54Speaker 3: Awesome photo right here, let's go. That's awesome, dude.
- 2:11:01Speaker 2: The only thing that I wish he had done is
- 2:11:03Speaker 2: included what team he's coaching for. Yeah, he'll he'll get
- 2:11:08Speaker 2: us right, get us right, baby, because whenever baby Girl.
- 2:11:12Speaker 3: Comes, I'm sure we'll get a squad photo. If he's
- 2:11:14Speaker 3: coaching down there in Brenham, Buddy East, Texas.
- 2:11:18Speaker 2: Oh, they put some teams together down there in Brena.
- 2:11:22Speaker 3: Go get you one of these. Yeah, gokay, come on.
- 2:11:26Speaker 2: Can you touch it? Can't you touch it that?
- 2:11:29Speaker 3: Can you touch that?
- 2:11:34Speaker 5: Goddamnit? Daddy, you can't. Damn What is wrong with you?
- 2:11:47Speaker 3: Tim mcgrawl walks out.
- 2:11:48Speaker 2: He just sits on the He sits on the hood
- 2:11:49Speaker 2: of the bar, gets his boots up on it. That's
- 2:11:55Speaker 2: such a good movie, such a good heard of Brown's Borough.
- 2:11:58Speaker 4: No is that where he's from Brownsboro High School teacher
- 2:12:01Speaker 4: slash coach.
- 2:12:02Speaker 2: Oh really Brownsborough? They must be three A, like two
- 2:12:07Speaker 2: or three A.
- 2:12:09Speaker 3: I could be wrong.
- 2:12:11Speaker 2: I don't know if I've heard of Brownsborough maybe a
- 2:12:13Speaker 2: smaller school.
- 2:12:15Speaker 3: Birds on my time then call it Twitter outside Tyler Texas.
- 2:12:20Speaker 3: Oh so he's like very East Texas. Dude.
- 2:12:23Speaker 2: Good for him, dude.
- 2:12:25Speaker 3: My lesson of the week.
- 2:12:28Speaker 1: Leave, I have one and it was from It's from
- 2:12:31Speaker 1: the Daily Dad. Ooh, came on, let's see here came
- 2:12:36Speaker 1: yesterday morning via email. I'm subscribed to the Daily Dad.
- 2:12:39Speaker 1: The email awesome shadow all the shadows to the Daily Dad.
- 2:12:44Speaker 1: This one is titled you won't regret it. The work
- 2:12:47Speaker 1: trip you canceled because you've been away too much. The
- 2:12:50Speaker 1: meeting you skip because you know you never should have
- 2:12:52Speaker 1: agreed to in the first place. The days you came
- 2:12:55Speaker 1: in late because your kids needed a little bit more
- 2:12:57Speaker 1: time to drop off. The weekend where you blew off
- 2:12:59Speaker 1: household projects and just did something fun together. Do you
- 2:13:02Speaker 1: think anyone has ever really regretted choosing family first. Maybe
- 2:13:06Speaker 1: they missed out on some stuff here and there, but
- 2:13:08Speaker 1: looking back on their life, do you think anyone even remembers.
- 2:13:11Speaker 1: But we will remember that day that we blew off work,
- 2:13:16Speaker 1: picked the kids up early, and drove up to the mountains.
- 2:13:19Speaker 1: We will remember that we went to the recital. We
- 2:13:23Speaker 1: will remember that we got ice cream and walked around
- 2:13:25Speaker 1: the park. With so many demands on our time, it
- 2:13:28Speaker 1: helps to zoom out to think about how you're going
- 2:13:30Speaker 1: to think about this later. Remember what we're after the
- 2:13:33Speaker 1: crowded table, A close relationship with our kids. Since that
- 2:13:37Speaker 1: we didn't waste this brief thing called their childhood. So
- 2:13:40Speaker 1: decide accordingly now you won't regret it. That comes from
- 2:13:45Speaker 1: the Daily Dad and their daily newsletter that chimes in
- 2:13:49Speaker 1: and again it always gives you, like a theme like
- 2:13:52Speaker 1: this morning it's five o four in the morning. There's
- 2:13:54Speaker 1: another one called they need to hear it again, and
- 2:13:56Speaker 1: there's just like a little a little write up of
- 2:13:59Speaker 1: each thing and what it means. A great, great subscription
- 2:14:03Speaker 1: newsletter for the dads out there looking for one dude.
- 2:14:06Speaker 2: Daily Dad rips, that's a great lesson of the week.
- 2:14:11Speaker 2: And one day I was really sad when I got
- 2:14:13Speaker 2: I got home late on my own volition, on my
- 2:14:15Speaker 2: own volition, but I because I woke up early for
- 2:14:18Speaker 2: driving up here and missing traffic, and then I got
- 2:14:21Speaker 2: home late. I never saw scarlet. Yeah, and it was
- 2:14:25Speaker 2: a really good day yesterday.
- 2:14:27Speaker 3: Yeah. But I'm laying in bed and I'm.
- 2:14:28Speaker 2: Like, yeah, I feel you, man, well am I doing?
- 2:14:32Speaker 6: So?
- 2:14:32Speaker 3: I made sure this morning like we did the.
- 2:14:36Speaker 1: We did the Madden ratings free a Sports and I
- 2:14:39Speaker 1: had to leave it like one. I had to leave
- 2:14:40Speaker 1: like halfway through because I had to hit a flight
- 2:14:42Speaker 1: from La Yeah all the time. Change hit a flight
- 2:14:45Speaker 1: at three lane at nine pm local in Nashville.
- 2:14:47Speaker 3: Come on, we cleaned it out. Yeah, some clump.
- 2:14:49Speaker 1: I was like, I have to be back on Saturday
- 2:14:51Speaker 1: night because Rue has about labor setting. Say, but we
- 2:14:54Speaker 1: were sitting there, we were having lunch, kind of joking around,
- 2:14:57Speaker 1: and the boys were talking about somebody said, oh, it
- 2:15:00Speaker 1: sucks you have to leave, Like, oh you should just
- 2:15:03Speaker 1: you should do X, Y and Z because you go
- 2:15:05Speaker 1: and watch UFC in Vegas and do all this stuff
- 2:15:07Speaker 1: in Vegas or the stuff it's it on Vegas.
- 2:15:09Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, dude, I fucking hate that I
- 2:15:11Speaker 2: have kids. I wish my daughter.
- 2:15:12Speaker 1: I didn't have my daughter and go to a stupid
- 2:15:14Speaker 1: ballet recital but we were just sitting there around there laughing,
- 2:15:17Speaker 1: and I just think to myself, like, those are the
- 2:15:18Speaker 1: moments that you're just like, yeah, it would be sick
- 2:15:22Speaker 1: to do all of this stuff.
- 2:15:24Speaker 3: Like there's a part of me that has FOMO and
- 2:15:26Speaker 3: I would love to do all the things that we
- 2:15:28Speaker 3: get to do at all times.
- 2:15:30Speaker 1: And I wish, like, yeah, I wish the ballet recital
- 2:15:32Speaker 1: could be in the evening so that way I could
- 2:15:34Speaker 1: hit a full Saturday. But just knowing that, like, yeah,
- 2:15:37Speaker 1: this ballet recital in the grand scheme of everything, means
- 2:15:42Speaker 1: nothing on the macro, But I know to me and
- 2:15:46Speaker 1: to rue and to have the photos, the moments, the
- 2:15:49Speaker 1: memories that having to get Scotty out of there because
- 2:15:52Speaker 1: she's crying and.
- 2:15:53Speaker 2: It would have been just mom, Yeah, you know what
- 2:15:56Speaker 2: I mean.
- 2:15:56Speaker 1: Yeah, those are times where it's yeah, I'm going to
- 2:16:00Speaker 1: look back and just know that you're making the right
- 2:16:03Speaker 1: choices by choosing like family, like having any opportunities on
- 2:16:07Speaker 1: weekends to be with your kiddos, to be with your children,
- 2:16:11Speaker 1: to be with your wife, to do these things, even
- 2:16:13Speaker 1: though there is the element of missing out and be like, oh,
- 2:16:16Speaker 1: I need to chase this career ambition or I need
- 2:16:18Speaker 1: to chase this event would be awesome to go to
- 2:16:20Speaker 1: to do these trips would be sick, Yeah, but knowing
- 2:16:24Speaker 1: that you're just gonna be You're gonna go to a
- 2:16:26Speaker 1: belly recital and then spend four hours in the pool
- 2:16:28Speaker 1: when you get home, like.
- 2:16:31Speaker 3: You can't put a price tag on No, you can't,
- 2:16:34Speaker 3: you can't.
- 2:16:35Speaker 2: And that feeling that I gave when I'm sitting there,
- 2:16:37Speaker 2: going I didn't even see her today. And then Jill
- 2:16:40Speaker 2: instagram stories our mothers say pictures got in last night
- 2:16:45Speaker 2: via email, and so she starts storing them from the
- 2:16:49Speaker 2: living room. I'm already in bed, and so that I
- 2:16:52Speaker 2: started getting these notifications. I'm seeing pictures of Scarlet and
- 2:16:55Speaker 2: she's already asleep, and that feeling do you I don't
- 2:16:59Speaker 2: know how, And I know it sounds dramatic because I
- 2:17:02Speaker 2: can only describe it as wanting to squeeze her, but yeah, yeah,
- 2:17:07Speaker 2: because she's asleep. But you just see a picture of
- 2:17:10Speaker 2: your little one, You're just oh, why do I always
- 2:17:14Speaker 2: just want to see and squeeze you when you're already asleep.
- 2:17:17Speaker 2: You can't wake you up? And h but I got
- 2:17:21Speaker 2: to see her this morning. Give her all that love,
- 2:17:23Speaker 2: give her a billion kisses, five billion, because again, like
- 2:17:26Speaker 2: the age that Scarlet's at, you break it down, she's
- 2:17:29Speaker 2: only going to be ten months for four weeks of
- 2:17:31Speaker 2: her life, and they developed so much at that young age.
- 2:17:36Speaker 2: She's a year in July. Dude, you want to talk
- 2:17:39Speaker 2: about and we talked about it earlier. This is episode
- 2:17:42Speaker 2: fifty that's crazy. Yeah, a couple of weeks it's gonna
- 2:17:45Speaker 2: be our year anniversary. Yeah, episode fifty two, and that's nuts, Dude.
- 2:17:53Speaker 2: I was so green, not saying that I'm a champion
- 2:17:57Speaker 2: dad by any means no, scared shitless.
- 2:18:01Speaker 3: I still am, But like those first few episodes, dude,
- 2:18:06Speaker 3: I had no idea, no idea. Yeah, it's been fun, man,
- 2:18:12Speaker 3: it's been fun. Good sewed, good sod. Take out your trash.
- 2:18:15Speaker 3: We love you, we appreciate you.
- 2:18:17Speaker 2: We will see you next week and on social media
- 2:18:19Speaker 2: for the dead Spot, go ahead, shameless book bwtv dot com.
- 2:18:22Speaker 3: Be your father's a gear.
- 2:18:24Speaker 2: I'm one for one at my new house on trash
- 2:18:25Speaker 2: Day
