• Michelle Harris: Welcome back to another episode Reality Hits Matt. I'm your host, Michelle. I'm Matt. Today we'll be covering ⁓ season two, episode seven of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Before we get started, do you want to give your recap of last week? Sure. Season two, episode six. Yes. I think this starts out with the girls getting ready to go to Arizona for Macy's Pickleball ⁓ tournament. Yep. ⁓ It starts out with Whitney. She can't a hold of Jen. ⁓ I they're supposed to be riding to the airport together. Yeah. So she ends up going over there and Jen is struggling. She's very depressed. She's pregnant. She's got a lot going on. Her and Zach aren't doing too well. ⁓ So she's just got a lot of thoughts going on. Now's not the time to have a baby, but she's pregnant. So she's struggling. So she just tells Whitney she's not going. She can't go right now. Tell all the girls that I'm sick. Right. guess she said that you could tell them about her pregnancy. Mm So that's like how they're going to find out from Whitney. So Whitney needs to leave for the airport. She doesn't want to leave Jen alone. She waits for Zach to come home. She's cleaning up around her house and whatnot. And then she leaves, heads of the airport. All the girls meet on this party bus and they're heading to the house. They're staying in the mansion. Macy's already there. So all the girls I guess land they meet on this party bus. They're heading over and everybody's like where's Jen? So Whitney tells everybody that Jen's sick. She doesn't tell him that she's pregnant yet. Probably waiting for Macy When they get to the house, so So there's that they get to the house the house is huge. ⁓ a big mansion. I think this is when Whitney tells everybody that Jen's pregnant and everybody seems to have different opinions about it. Like, it's definitely not the time for a baby with the way their marriage is right now. ⁓ So there's a lot of different ⁓ opinions there. Then they all go out to dinner. And while they're out to dinner. Jesse and Demi have a truth box? Yes. So they're bringing the truth box back. Yes. So there's a few different, I'm trying to remember them all. know there were a few. One was that someone asked Whitney if she ⁓ actually trying to like mend these friendships that she has with these girls or if she's just doing it for TV. And you were explaining it last week. She's very ⁓ Not a good communicator. Yeah, she probably meant one thing but said it in a different way. Yeah So it sounds like she is a bad person, right? So I think she needs to work on her communication skills there Another one of the truth Questions ⁓ to jesse. ⁓ if jordan does have a tiny dick Uh-huh, since that's what Jen had said in the previous episode. ⁓ Jesse shows everybody Jordan's dick. It's not tiny, so there's that. So then another question, ⁓ Demi asked if she knew about the Sunday Sinners confessional about Brett sleeping with somebody else while she was away. ⁓ She just kind of plays it off. think she really trust Brett. They're not a part much. So she plays this off as like somebody made this up. Yeah, she doesn't seem too concerned about it. So there was a lot of, I think, build up up to that. And then. ⁓ Well, she doesn't really care. another one was asking. Demi about why she was trying to get Jesse kicked off the show. So there's a lot of drama there with ⁓ I guess Jesse and Demi are fighting recently. ⁓ They were all supposed to kind of go in together as a group to negotiate like contracts, I guess. I think just the two of them were trying to go together. ⁓ it was just. Yeah. Jesse and Demi. Yeah. And then Jesse saw like Brett in the background while they were talking and like he was kind of saying stuff. So was like he almost like he was kind of speaking for them, ⁓ for for them as a group. Yeah. So Jesse didn't like that. So then ⁓ there a lot of drama there. ⁓ Demi's jealous. She doesn't think that Jesse deserves much money anyway, because she's a successful hairstylist, has her own business, which is crazy because then it's like Well, Macy just has a book deal now. like, should she take like a pay cut? Right. And Demi thinks that she should, get the most and she's a fan favorite and all the girls are kind of confused ⁓ by that. Yeah. All right. So then the next question, I think one of the last questions was asking ⁓ Whitney if she regrets not going to Macy's ⁓ baby mama lunch for her business. Whitney says she doesn't regret it. Right. It was, it was, said something along lines where if she hadn't done it, she wouldn't have learned her lesson. ⁓ right. So since she learned a lesson, she doesn't regret it. ⁓ And ⁓ she goes on to explain that she doesn't regret it because she trying keep her peace. So she didn't, she still doesn't think it was fully wrong. Right. Even though it hurt me see and she acknowledges that. Yeah. I mean, you should regret that. Yeah. So ⁓ then it rolls into next day. ⁓ I guess back at the house. So ⁓ Whitney and Macy, they're a room by themselves. The door is shut. ⁓ And ⁓ one of the things Whitney asks ⁓ is, know, all this stuff that Michaela's saying about me and talking bad about me and spending time with her, do you like, do you think it's rubbing off on you? Like, are you starting to get that impression of me? Macy, ⁓ know, says, you know, that's not the case. Well, all this is going on. Michaela is outside the door listening to all this. and then when they come out, Michaela like confronts them, like, why are you talking about me behind my back? And this and that, which they weren't really talking about her. No, it was ⁓ about And that's what Macy says. She's like, we weren't talking about you. Yeah. Like, yeah, your name was said, but nobody was talking bad about you. Nobody was saying anything about you other than, you know, yeah, is Macy influence. So there's that. ⁓ And then another thing. Michaela asks Whitney, like, why doesn't she take accountability for anything like Yeah, So when Michaela him about talking about her and Macy says, no, we weren't talking about you, Whitney then steps in and says, ⁓ I just feel like you're me. Right, right. And she and then Michaela says, well, not attacking you, I'm just calling out on your bullshit. Right. ⁓ And and that she doesn't accountability. Right, right. And then. Michaela says like, we can go around the room and ask everybody like, then so Whitney's like, yeah, let's go. Yeah. Like, ⁓ don't I? What haven't I taken accountability for? And like, Demi doesn't have anything to say. Michaela is just talking over everybody like they should have went around the room. Let them go around the room and talking for people. Yeah. Yeah. She's like, no one here wants to be your friend. No one here thinks they take accountability. And then when they did go around the room, they're like. No, I like I think we're making good strides to be friends again. So it's like, Michaela, like, speak for yourself. Yeah. Speak for yourself. And then I think the only other thing left in this episode was the pickleball tournament. they all go. Pickleball. Then they go to dinner. ⁓ yeah, they go to dinner. There's a little bit more hashing out of the Demi-Jesse situation. Then they go partying. All right, they dancing. Yeah, they dancing. ⁓ And then it ends on the skinny dipping. ⁓ right. And Demi was texting Brett about it. And he's like, the cameras still on? you're not going. And all that. Yeah. you got. That's the recap. ⁓ got the main points. Good job. ⁓ boy. All right. So episode seven, the Book of Gratitude. Gratitude. So we start back at Scottsdale, Arizona. The girls are finishing up their girls weekend trip and they're all filming TikToks and they have their phones attached to the windows. OK. And they're like all lined up doing different TikTok dances. I'm like, but they're all recording. Yeah. So I'm like, this is very hectic and a lot going on. And I'm overwhelmed. So Jessie asked Layla if she's still doing a Friendsgiving because she doesn't know she can go because she has a trip to Mexico planned. Layla very awkwardly says, yeah, but I need to figure out who's invited first and kind of like looks towards Whitney. Oh, right. Don't want to talk about it because probably not everybody in this group is invited. So Whitney is just like awkwardly like, I'm here. This is weird. All the girls fit into a TikTok. for Taylor and Whitney is trying to throw out some ideas on how they can make it better. Like people standing on chairs, you know, like, and she says in an interview that she knows things need to change, but she's going to just start by showing the girls that she's trying and hopefully that helps. Okay. After all the TikTok films are done, Whitney then says, to me, I ⁓ it as sarcastic, but does this mean after the girls trip, I'm officially back in mom. ⁓ immediately says I wouldn't say that. And then Whitney jokingly says we should take a vote. ⁓ OK. And she was like, vote, vote, vote. And like she was like laughing about it. Yeah. All the girls immediately took that seriously. OK. So Jesse says that if you chose to leave mom talk willingly, then there needs to be an initiation of vote back into mom. OK, so they say, raise your hands and keep your hands raised if you want what need to be back. And Taylor is the only one to raise her. Just Taylor. Just Taylor. Taylor says that Whitney gave her a second chance at a really hard time. So she's going to do that in return for her. Yeah, that's thinks that and she tells the girls, like, I think that everyone deserves a second chance. So yeah, I'm going to allow her to stay like she can come back. Yeah. Demi says that she feels like they made a lot of strides this weekend, but because of the tensions between Michaela and Whitney, she's going to have to respect that and vote no. Jesse and Layla both agree with her and everyone says we know what Michaela's vote is. And Michaela says sure do, considering I just got screamed at again yesterday, which she's referring to when Whitney was yelling about like, let's fucking yeah, yeah, go around the room. Right. And I'm like, get over it. Like you were the one that was coming after her that entire time and wanted everyone to hate her so bad. And then you were wrong about it. Yeah. So get over it. Macy says it's a no for now because there's so much tension. So she's going to side. Yeah. At first, she's like, I want to vote for the mutual party, which is no one. And then they're like, well, you have to choose. And she said, just because there is so much tension, I don't want to just ignore that that exists. So no. That's fair. Or it's Michaela rubbing off on her. Right. Right. I don't know. Miranda says that that was really rough to watch, and she's glad she didn't try to get voted in after that. She says she saw that Whitney was really disappointed in her face, and she feels bad about that. OK. Whitney in an interview thinks that all the other women would have voted her back in if she was good with Michaela. confuses Whitney because she doesn't see Michaela ever changing her mind. So she's just wondering if she's out of mom talk forever. ⁓ right, right. So she's like, I've like tried. I don't know what more she wants from me. Like I've tried to have the conversation. She said she doesn't like that wasn't the way to do it. But then she keeps telling me I need to have a conversation with her. Right. Yeah. She went to her multiple times. And so she's like, I this is not going to change. Like she has made up her mind. Yeah. Yeah. Which probably makes me happy. The intro plays and then we come to Demi's house. So this pissed me off, guys. Thanksgiving is Thanksgiving. Christmas is Christmas. Layla is having a Friendsgiving. OK. We go to Demi's house and she's getting ready for her Christmas party. OK. And she's inviting all the girls to a Christmas party. the Christmas party doesn't happen this episode. So I think this whole thing could have been like pushed to. I they had to have this scene in here because of what they were talking about. But we didn't even get to Friendsgiving yet. I mean, if she's getting ready, I mean, there's some overlap there. It be a late Thanksgiving, friends giving in an early December. Have friends giving then host your Christmas party. It's two different people now. It's not. Yeah, but it's the same friend group. Be on the same page there. Anyway, Jesse goes over to Demi's house and Demi is getting ready for her Christmas party. Demi is showing the presents that she bought for people and asked Jesse, who do you think I bought this for? And it's a game called Let's Get Deep. She says to Jesse, it's for someone who doesn't know how to be a friend and says it's for Taylor. OK. So. thought that comment was interesting because I think Taylor knows how to be a friend. just don't think she wants to be Demi's friend. Right. don't know. ⁓ They talk about the infertility thing that got brought up at the dinner during the girl's trip and talk about the next steps that they are taking. Jessie says that she's really happy that Demi is opening up about this because it shows that she does have a vulnerable side when she can be a very like tough exterior most of the time. Jessie asked Demi if they would do a sperm donor if it turned out that Brett was the problem and Demi said, absolutely not, I wouldn't, but I would allow Brett to have sex with Layla if she would carry my baby. And I guess Leila in the past has already offered this. So they were laughing about that. And then Jesse says, well, she has had an orgasm now, so she knows what she's doing. Oh, there you go. So it's confirmed. We go to Taylor and she's bringing ever over to Dakota's Airbnb. And during this exchange, they just start calling each other, babe. OK. And at one point, Taylor catches herself midway and just says, Bait Dakota. As Taylor's walking around Dakota's Airbnb, she asked who he made the bed for and he says, you. ⁓ their child needs a diaper change badly. Like it was like ⁓ that came out of the diaper. And Dakota's just like walking around the apartment and they're just like going back and forth. ⁓ I'm like, someone please change this baby's diaper. But Dakota doesn't have any of the wipes because Taylor's mom took them all. ⁓ my goodness. So in an interview asked Dakota if they've been sleeping together and then Dakota says yes with the biggest creepiest like smirk on his face. And ⁓ put me in a very uncomfortable position. ⁓ Taylor on the way back asked Dakota what he does all night. So they go down to like the convenience store thing to get baby wipes. So they have baby wipes there. And then they walk upstairs. And as they're walking upstairs, Taylor goes, so what do you do all night? And he goes, when I'm home alone. She's like, yeah. And he goes, usually I'm talking to you. Taylor leaves Dakota's and almost says like, I love you. And then like, but you know what I mean. And then he's like, so I'll just bring him over tonight. And she's like, yeah, just bring him over tonight. And then Taylor says that they've been sleeping together on and off again. So the break is going well. Doesn't seem like anything's changed. go to just styles and to me is meeting Layla there to get their hair styled to be asked how she's doing with Cam. And Layla admits that her and Cam got into a huge fight a couple of days ago and he called her controlling and said she was very critical of. ⁓ geez. Layla tells Demi that she did invite Whitney into Friendsgiving because she felt like they did make strides this past weekend, but she's unsure about inviting Jen. OK, after talking through it a bit about having Jen there, Layla does say that even though some of the girls aren't in the best place with Jen, she's a believer in second chances. So she's going to invite Jen so she feels included. ⁓ Demi says to Layla that she doesn't know what's going on between her and Taylor because they're like I wasn't expecting the weekend to go the way it was because Jen wasn't going to be there. I thought it was going to be good. But clearly in this friend group, there's always going to be drama. ⁓ And me is like, yeah, like I didn't expect walking away from the weekend to be so unsure about my relationship with Taylor. She thinks that her success triggers Taylor. And Demi doesn't think that there should be a competition and that they need to have a conversation about this. So Demi thinks that all of Taylor's anger towards her stems from pure jealousy ⁓ of her own success. OK. So Demi's the one that comes off as jealous of everybody else. Yeah. OK. Yeah. I think there is a Taylor to. Jessie in the last episode, when they went home alone and they had a conversation, she did say like, I am jealous, I think she's jealous of the relationship that Demi has. I don't think it's right. Right. Yeah. So I think because of how bad her relationship with Dakota is going, like she's jealous of that. She's jealous of that. And she's hanging on to that confession because the confession that was about her was true. So she's I think there's more to that. Yeah. OK, that makes sense. But I think Demi's idea of the jealousy of success is a little bit off. I don't think anyone's jealous of your success. think, yeah. Right, right. Demi tells Layla that she thinks Taylor wants her to be honest about how dysfunctional her relationship is. But the truth of the matter is her relationship is so healthy and Layla agrees with that and she's like, yeah, it is really healthy. So yeah, I don't, I don't know. We go to Macy and Micaela and they're driving in a car and they're driving to a car wash. And apparently Micaela is like really afraid of car washes. She said that she would not be facing this fear if it weren't for her daughter that loves car washes. So her daughter's in the back of the car and she's like, Mom, you're really afraid of car wash. She's like, yeah, I am. She goes, I'll drive through it for you. She says that she is twice asked the guys to drive her car through for her. All right. They get there. And now I can understand why, because she freaks out about getting her car onto like the little belt. ⁓ like the track. Yeah. And so the guy is like, go to the right and Macy's like, go to the right. And she's like, not going the right. And finally, guys like go to her window. And he like she like unrolls and he goes, just turn the right a little bit and then I'll guide you. And she goes, OK, thank you. She goes to the right. And then like it kind of like she like bumps over until like it like gets it in place. Then she doesn't put her car in neutral. So then the track is just like going underneath her car. And she's like, why isn't it taking me? And then the guy has to come up and be like, did you put it in neutral? She's like, it's in neutral now, sorry. like, it's so embarrassing. The life skills here are zero. Not everybody can do the automatic car wash. I don't know. It's not the first time she's done it though. Yeah, but she's terrified of it. mean. She's got a lot on her mind. She can't. I be terrified, if I didn't know how to put my car in a neutral. ⁓ You shouldn't be driving a car like drive off the track while it's halfway through next. And then they're getting then they're getting out. And she's like, do I go? And Macy's like, yeah, and she goes, Mary. Nice. ⁓ I would not get in the car with her driving. ⁓ As they're in the car, the girls get a text from Whitney and. Whitney says that for a Layla's Friendsgiving, what if they do a British Bake Off, but make it Mormon? So a British Bake Off show like that's that was like a really popular show. OK, just go with it. All right. So they're thinking like make something, but then make it like Mormon themed or have something Mormon about it or have it be like a part of like Mormon culture. Like, OK, I'm curious to see where this goes. She says that the husbands slash boyfriends will judge. Whitney says that she will bring the sourdough and Macy says that Whitney sourdough is from Macy's starter and she's using Macy's recipe. So Macy's a little salty about that. All right. Macy in an interview says that baking in the Mormon culture is huge. She doesn't know exactly why, but it probably has something to do the woman being homemaker. like the traditional. The traditional, she called it trad wife, which is like the ⁓ more way of putting it. Right. ⁓ And like every single church event, like you'd bring desserts, which even in the Catholic church, like every Sunday you'd go downstairs and they'd be like donuts or like there would be like a potluck of sorts, like in the basement. that also like was kind of in the Catholic church as well. ⁓ Macy says that she is not going to bring sourdough because if Whitney is already bringing it, it's going to be the same recipe. So it'll probably taste the same. Well, they should both make it then. And it should be like, who makes it better with the same recipe? So Michaela says that she's going to do her own sourdough. Michaela says, I'll learn anything to beat Whitney. OK, let's see it. ⁓ no, Just you wait. ⁓ Just you This whole episode. ⁓ I can't stand her. She's literally like a five year old. Not even a five year old, a three year old. ⁓ She's acting like a toddler that's having a tantrum this entire episode of Pissed Me Out. We go to so and then you see the text messages and all the girls are actually responding. So it seems like everyone's like actually really excited for this. OK, that's good. ⁓ Unlike the T-shirt idea. Yeah. Just Miranda responded. Yeah. She got asked to. And Miranda was the first one to respond to this one. OK, got it started off. So we go to Baking Me Crazy, which is like a baking supply store. And Demi and Brett go shopping for baking supplies. Demi's tech said that she had never baked anything in her life, so this should be interesting. She is not a traditional wife. She says she does not spend most of the time in her kitchen. She doesn't do any of this. she goes to this place and is asking this woman for help. Nice. Demi says that she's making a cake called Better Than Sex Cake, but Apparently in the Mormon culture, it's called better than what cake? OK, I don't know what that is. She says that she grew up making this cake at young women's and at church events. So it seemed fitting for the Mormon theme of the bake off, which during the bake off competition, she does not explain that part of it. So everyone's like, what does this have to do with Mormon culture? Right. So I don't know if everyone had. done this cake, right? Right. Whatever. OK. As she continues to shop, she tells Brett that she's trying to decide if Friendsgiving is a place to talk to Taylor. Demi, in an interview, says that the confessional really upset Brett and he is very frustrated right now. Demi does not understand why Brett is so upset because if it wasn't true, then there's no reason to give it any energy. Right. Brett says that he. does worry about optics a little bit too much to Demi and says he needs to work on that. So he's just very worried about public perception of himself. Right, like people aren't gonna believe. Right. apparently before Demi and Brett got married, Demi had heard rumors that he cheated on his first wife, which ended up not being true, and that he had done, like he was in rehab for drugs, which turned out to not be true. Okay. ⁓ She had already like he has already dealt with rumors his whole life. Right. apparently he he's been in the entertainment world and his sister's married to Larry King. So like his whole family is kind of like on edge to this. So and I thought that that was an interesting fact that his sister is married to Larry King. but yeah, I guess he's just worried about what people think. OK. Brett asked me, like, do the lies ever get to you online? Like. does anything ever get under your skin like? Yeah. And she was like, yeah, like it used to, but ketamine really helped me a lot. And she goes, maybe by your 40th session, you'll feel better. And at that point, I realized, like to me, really has kind of like this just like very like slow and on slot. And I'm like, are there side effects to ketamine that just make you like in a forever? I guess I'm in a hole. Sounds like. Makes me think of like office space where Peter got put into the trance where he just didn't care about anything. Yeah. It's just go and fish in and whatever he wants to do. So they're in the store and the lady like helps her get some stuff. She ends up buying like these penis sprinkles. They're like the shape of a penis to put on her anything but sex cake. Okay, very Mormon. Yeah. And as they're leaving, they're still talking about this confession and how Brett so worked up about it. And they're literally leaving the stores, but the cameras aren't following them. Yeah. But you can hear their mics. And then the screen says cameras went down, but the audio continued and Brett continues. And he's just like, you know, it's not true, right? Like, like deep down, like, you know, you know, I wouldn't do this. And he's like, I want to know who it was. I want to know who said it. Like this pisses me off. And to me is like, if I were guilty, this is how I would act. ⁓ right. And so he's like, and he keeps out at like, you know that this isn't true. And she was like, it's just a constant like. Last night you kept saying, like, do you love me? And it's like, yes, I do. Can we move on? Yeah. And so there's still, there's definitely contention headbutting there. Yeah, yeah. Sounds like it. We go to Makila's house and Macy comes over and Makila has hired someone to teach her how to make sourdough. You guys. ⁓ boy. He literally like made the sourdough. ⁓ wait. This is like for the competition. I'm assuming that like if somebody is going to teach you, then you got to do it on your own. I I highly doubt this woman like he must have at least given her the starter, which is the hardest part. And that doesn't take like that takes time. Like you can't get a starter within a couple of days and then start your sourdough. I don't know. So he had to have given her at minimum the starter. OK. But he has three doughs and he's baking one of them. I would have to assume that she did the other one. Right. Right. And that was his bread. Yeah. And he's just telling her what to do. Yeah. OK. All right. So anyway. She says it's really healing for her to be bitchy and petty these days. All right. At one point, they have to pick up the dough and then smack it on the ground, like pick it up and then slam it. Yeah. Pick it up on the table. Yeah. Not the ground. Yeah, yeah. On the table. How are they making this bread? And she says that she's really loving the dough smacking process and she's definitely not picturing Whitney while she does it. God. Throw up. I'm so over this. Macy McKayla start talking about Friendsgiving and Macy asks if she thinks that there will be any contention. And McKayla says if Jen goes then yes. McKayla in an interview says that the girls haven't heard from Jen in a while and she personally hasn't reached out because after Vegas she would constantly reach out to Jen to make sure she was OK and put a lot of energy into making sure that Jen was all right. Yeah. But she's never gotten that in return from Jen. So she says, I think it's OK for me to take a step back right now and focus on myself because I've just never gotten that friendship back from Jen. Right, right. We go to Whitney's house and Whitney is making her sourdough. She's making it more in by etching CTR onto the side of the love, which stands for choose the right, which is for Mormons to remember values and morals. Producers ask if there's any truth into Macy being the one that got her interested in making a sourdough and Whitney goes, no. And she goes, sorry. Like, and Whitney says that it was the other way around. Zach comes over to Whitney's house and Whitney asked him to come over because she's getting really worried about Jen and hasn't heard from her. So she wanted to ask Zach for an update. OK. Zach says Jen is really, really sick and they got her medication for it, the medication has made it worse. ⁓ geez. Zach tells Whitney and Connor that Jen would come home and cry every single day and 90 percent of it would be related to the girls. Yeah. And Zach saying like this whole time, he's saying like, I'm really trying not to like tell her who to be friends with, but it's just like not a healthy dynamic at all. This is how she's feeling. Zach says you guys have reached out and been amazing, but outside of that, it doesn't seem like anyone cares. ⁓ wow. Yeah. So I guess no one's reached out again. Michaela did address that saying she never got that in return from Jen. I don't know like how long, like it seems like Jen's been struggling with this since Vegas, so it might just not be the right time for her to be a friend of people, but regardless. Connor asked Zach why he thinks the girls dislike Jen so much and Zach thinks that Jesse and Demi are gaslighters and Layla and Michaela do it because they are followers. okay, yeah. Zach thinks that Demi and Brett have a ton of skeletons in their closet if they can flip the narrative onto Jen and Zach and deflect it away from themselves, they're gonna do that. Okay. Connor asked if Jen knows what the skeletons are and Zach says, yeah, and there's quite a few of them. Whitney asked what, and then Zach doesn't respond at first. Zach says that every time he gets involved, it causes Jen more issues. So he is gonna let Jen tell people what she's comfortable with saying. Right, right. Whitney asks if it has to do with Italy and Zach says, yeah, and there's like a lot more to that. OK. Apparently to me is going out of her way to get a cease and desist to Jen. And Whitney says in an interview, if that's true, that makes to me seem more and more guilty. For what? To not come out and talk bad about her, talk about her like relationship or talk about her personal. Okay. Stuff. You're you're on reality TV. Yeah. Okay. Interesting. But I guess if it wasn't aired and she is not an executive producer, I have the rights to the content. Like, are you able to talk about someone in that light? I don't know. anyway. We go to Swig and Layla's meeting up with Cam. She wants to work through some of their issues. ⁓ And I was on camera? ⁓ Shouldn't you talk him alone? Cam tells Layla that he just felt like he wasn't being treated good. ⁓ And he said he didn't know day to day if she loved him or not. OK. ⁓ And finally, it all caught up to him. And he just couldn't take it anymore. Leila in an interview says that she has a lot of trust issues with men because of cheating, either allegations or scandals in the past with past significant others. And she feels like everyone ends up leaving her in the end. so she pushes people away in the beginning to protect herself. ⁓ references her relationship with her family. Her parents got divorced. She doesn't have a great relationship with her dad. ⁓ She just thinks that everyone in her life just ends up leaving her. Right. Right. She tells Cam that she didn't know that that's what she was doing. So now that she does know that that's like why he was upset, she's going to work on it. And She doesn't want to lose him. Before I didn't mention, but when they were getting their hair done to me and Layla in an interview, she mentions like. And now I'm going to be the only single one again at these events, except for Taylor, because Taylor and Dakota are like not together right now. then like at this meeting or at this like get together, Cam is like, OK, like, yeah, I do want to make this work and I do still love you. And she's like, yeah, like I love you, too. And then they're like crying and then they kiss and then they hug. And then in an interview, she goes, I'm really excited that he's going to be at Friendsgiving tomorrow. Were you only concerned that you were going to be single at Friendsgiving? Right. I don't really care about this man. Like, is that really what you care about? Was it that bad? Like he wasn't going to come to Friendsgiving? Apparently, like he was like trying to break it off. OK. All right. I don't know. I don't know. Well, Friendsgiving is is back on. ⁓ and this Friendsgiving, she's working with a party planner and they're like. They have all the details sorted and she's doing everything for Leila. So like, this isn't at Leila's house. This is like at an event like that. Like she's throwing like a party. This is a lot. Yeah, they're all. We go to a park and Dakota is playing basketball with his friend Gavin. We've never met Gavin before. Gavin and Dakota start talking about how things are going with Taylor. It seems like Gavin's been there for Dakota since day one. Like he was the place where Dakota went to after Taylor kicked him out and crashed on his couch. So even though he hasn't been on camera, he kind of knows everything that's going on. Dakota says it's still on and off the whole time, and he feels that it's unfair to him because Taylor make it seem like she's not with him, but then keeps like coming back to him. Dakota says that he's trying to be there for her in a better way. And then Gavin goes, what better way? Because it sounds like you've tried everything. And you just sound like a broken record. And then Dakota goes, yeah. ⁓ Gavin is so level headed during this whole conversation and he keeps trying to like just Dakota You need to let Taylor work on herself because he's like, well, Taylor's still really hurt and she needs to heal. And he was like, then let her do that. Yeah. Yeah. But like, you guys can't be together because like it's distracting you from being there for your son. like, right. Just let her go do her own thing. And if you're not together, you're not together. Like, that's it. Point blank. Like, you're together. You're not together. Right. Right. Trade the kid off and be on your separate ways. So then Dakota in an interview says he wants Taylor to decide. So he's going to give her an ultimatum. Oh, jeez. OK. Don't put this on. Like you I get that. you can't choose if she wants to be with you. But like you can choose what you want. if if this truly isn't working and then just end it. Right. Right. Don't be like you have till tomorrow to decide if you want to be with me. And then all of sudden you're going to be dating. Like, yeah, that's weird. We finally make it to Friendsgiving and all the girls show up. Michaela says she decided not only to make one thing, but four. Okay. She says that she's just going to swap in the next thing if she's not getting the reaction she wants from the husbands. What? No, you, you pick one and you put it in the competition. She brought her sourdough loaf and it also has CTR written on it. Interesting. What I didn't mention was it showed Michaela baking. Okay. It cuts Michaela baking and she asks the cameraman if he's already filmed the other girls. ⁓ He says, I filmed Whitney and she goes, what does hers look like? And he goes, I don't know if I'm allowed to say, and then it cuts off. Yeah. So he said. So he said, and you copied it because you're a petty bitch. You're a three year old. You're a three year old who doesn't have a creative mind. So you decided to copy her shit. She also made a pumpkin pie. She made sourdough cinnamon rolls and homemade cinnamon butter. all the girls see this, ⁓ the table, like so Whitney says, OK, everyone, we're going to step into this room. We're going to have the significant others judge one through 10 high score wins. And then they're going to win ⁓ apron. And it says first annual Mormon Bake Off winner. OK, ⁓ it's pretty cute ⁓ and bragging rights. ⁓ so. They all go in and then Whitney sees a Cerrado and she thought it was Macy's and Macy goes, that wasn't mine. That was Michaela's. And she's like, ⁓ my God, you guys also put CTR on it. Yeah. And so Whitney, like, doesn't even get mad. She just thought it was a coincidence. Yeah. OK. So she thought, like, it was funny. Then Michaela goes first and tries to, like, bring all four dishes and. All the girls are like, that's not how this works. Like submit one. Yeah. Make you make you. Says it's not her fault that she went above and beyond and all the other girls half asked the competition. You're cheating. That's not half asking the competition. You're cheating. She ended up submitting the pumpkin pie. OK. So. She How's them taste of pumpkin pie? The pumpkin pie has like the face of Jesus print, like, you know, like an edible paper print. It has like the face of Jesus on it and then like the whipped cream. And so all the guys try it ⁓ and they give her like pretty high scores. They give her like nines. Some of them said that they didn't like the whipped cream. Brett said that it seemed a little sacrilegious to be eating Jesus's face. Right. They cut it up. Yeah. So he put, he gave it like an eight or a nine. ⁓ Then Michaela in the interview just starts coming for everyone. So Layla makes a pumpkin pie and she's like, I'm not a baker. I'm not even sure that this is fully cooked. Yeah. And she goes, Layla's pumpkin pie presentations from start to finish was absolutely disgusting. ⁓ my God. And like Cam gave her a 10 because like obviously, but I all the other guys probably gave her like fours. ⁓ And like lately even said, like, I'm not going to win this. Like, like, you know, and you know, right? Right. You know, and you know, you know, Miranda brings blueberry coffee cake. looked pretty good. And then Michaela goes, Mormons don't even drink coffee. So I don't get that. So as far as a Mormon aspect goes, one for me. ⁓ God. I'm like, like, what's with the anger? ⁓ Macy's peanut butter bar. she made a peanut butter bar like cake, and then she had, the founder and it was something like he was on the rock of it had to do with like Mormon culture. didn't follow the whole story. And then when you picked up the peanut butter bar, it was like gold on the bottom, which had to do with the story. Yeah, I think South Park did something. So everyone's like, oh, OK with the lesson. And like, I'm like, it was Mormon themed. I appreciated that. Like, that's pretty cool. then Michaela, even to her best friend goes, I actually really love a good peanut butter bar, except for the one she made. They were gross. Oh, my gosh. That's your best friend. They looked pretty good to me. brings an pie. All the guys eat it and they're like, ⁓ this is really good. This is really good. Give her like eights and nines. Did she buy it from the store? It cuts to Taylor in her car, taking the pie out of the package and putting it into a pie plate. ⁓ She goes, look, babe, because I messed it up a little bit when I was transferring it. And she's like dusting crumbs off the back. ⁓ Nice. And so she ends the conversation. She's like, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. To me, it presents her penis sprinkles better than what cake? And she says it's to remove the taboo around sex in the church. She added those sprinkles to it. OK. Brett gave it a 10 and Michaela was upset because the photo of Jesus on her pumpkin pie was sacrilegious, but Brett can eat penises and that's fine. It's time for Whitney to go. Michaela says she did not tell Jace what to vote for everyone, but if he knows what's best for him, he should vote. Give Whitney a three. ⁓ my God. He ends up giving Whitney a nine. ⁓ shit. And she looks at me and goes, sleeping on the couch tonight. They tally up the score. Third place goes to Whitney. Second place goes to Michaela. Michaela says she won in her eyes because she beat Whitney. If she didn't beat Whitney, then she would have lost. And then first place actually went to Demi. ⁓ Demi says that she probably will never wear this apron again in the kitchen, but maybe in the bedroom she'll put it on. OK. Interesting. They all go to sit down to have the dinner because Leila is like, I would love to keep eating desserts, but let's actually go eat the meal that I for. Friends giving. Layla brings up the confessional to Brett and to me By saying, feel like ⁓ you guys a really good way about going about handling these rumors, because if it were me, I would have spiraled. ⁓ She's like, my God, girl, I feel like. I feel like she knows he's struggling with it and bringing up stuff to start drama. Right, right. OK. ⁓ Because Demi doesn't really look thrilled with this being brought up. Yeah. She's already dealing with him. Like, seemed like she was over it. He won't let it go. Right. And now it's being brought up. OK. All right. My inkling was, Layla knows that this is an issue. OK. Demi told her that it's an issue. And now she's bringing it up in front of the whole group. Yeah. Which I'm like, ⁓ it's. Makes for good reality TV. Maybe this should pay her more. Maybe, maybe. Stirring the pot, getting the drama going. She's a secret pot stirrer. There you go. Jessie is like, I'm just going to stir this. To me, it says that at the beginning of their relationship, it would have been much different, but they're in such a different place now. So it's taken a lot of work to get where they are. Macy says that she's regretting sharing this one about Brett because it keeps getting brought up. So she's kind of like. I just should have just shut my mouth about this. Yeah. Taylor says, yeah, but mine was true. And to me, things, it's wild that Taylor would keep trying to compare the two relationships. Then it kind of switches, like the mood switches a little bit because Taylor tells the table that Dakota has given her an ultimatum because the husbands kind of start asking Taylor about Dakota and like her relationship. Yeah. And Taylor kind of breaks down a little bit and she says, yeah, he's given me an ultimatum to choose him 100 % or he needs to move on because this has gone on for two years. And they ask her, like, do you think you know the full truth now? And she's like, I don't know, honestly. And then they're like asking her, like, do you think? You know, he's the girls are kind of saying, like, but I don't think he's done what he says he's doing by, like, admitting that he was wrong and taking the accountability and saying I fucked up. And Macy even says, I feel like it's been quite the opposite, actually. Right. So I feel like he has said he messed up like when they went to therapy together, but maybe in front of the girls, he hasn't said that. Yeah. She hasn't told the girls that he said that. But maybe it's just not as much where he is still deflecting some of their issues back onto her. So they feel like he's gaslighting her. OK. Taylor says that her mind and her heart are constantly fighting where her mind is saying big picture long term. This doesn't work out, but her heart cares about him and still wants him. And Taylor is obviously very emotional in front of all of them. All the husbands are super supportive and like Brad's like, do you feel like you deserve love? And she goes, I don't know, honestly. And. Connor is telling her that she needs to feel validated in her feelings. That's when Brett asks if she feels like she's deserving of love and Taylor says, I don't know. All the husbands are telling her that she ⁓ is. Yeah. And but has to come from within her. And then Connor tells Taylor that he can feel what she's feeling right now because before a lot of them met him, he was actually ⁓ a really big asshole and a huge jerk to Whitney. ⁓ geez. OK. He says that he was given a second chance by Whitney, but he didn't think that he deserved it at the time. And he kind of explains to Taylor that the road down a second chance is really hard. And it takes a lot of accepting what you did and moving on because that person is also trying to move on and not live in the past. Right. And he says he's so thankful that Whitney did give him a second chance and they have the relationship that they have now and they have this beautiful family. And he's like, but I understand this is a hard decision and you need to think hard about it if that's what you want. But you need to decide that. Yeah. Whitney in an interview says the very first thing that she asked herself when they left Utah after the whole Tinder scandal was do I even want this? And she thinks that Taylor needs to ask herself that same question. She said that it gave her the strength to fight for her marriage when she decided that it really was what she wanted. ⁓ This is where it ends and Demi is saying as much as she wanted to clear the air with Taylor, she's seeing that this isn't all about her, it's about Taylor and right now she needs supported. That's nice of her. She's kind of seeing and then it ends like with all the girls are all taking photos and ending and Macy's like, I can't believe we got through one night without like major drama. Right. Like, I mean, the husbands were there and like they had like Whitney's newborn and then ever was there. So maybe with the kids and husbands, it was a little bit different. ⁓ But based off the previous from next week, this is going to be short lived. ⁓ nice. Nice. Specifically between to me and Taylor. Like this is not done. All right. So. I think next week we're going to hash out a lot of this stuff. Interesting. All right. Yeah. Sounds like fun. Yeah. So that was the episode. Awesome.
