- 0:00Hey kids, welcome to Jesus and Me Clubhouse.
- 0:03I'm Casey. I'm so glad you could join us
- 0:25today. Let's say our motto.
- 0:27Repeat after me. I will tell my friends.
- 0:30I will. Tell my.
- 0:32Friends so they can know God so. They can know God.
- 0:35Here's something I know about God.
- 0:38God gives good things to those who ask Him.
- 0:41So if you ask God for something that is good, he doesn't give
- 0:44you something bad instead. Your parents are the same way.
- 0:48I'll prove it to you. Hey, Grandpa.
- 0:52Who? Who's yelling?
- 0:54I did. Grandpa.
- 0:55Grandpa. When your kids were little, did
- 0:58they ever ask you for anything? All the time.
- 1:01Can I have a drink of water? Can I have a cookie?
- 1:03Can I have 1/4? OK, so when they asked you for a
- 1:07drink of water, what did you give them to drink water?
- 1:11Was it clean water? No, it was out of the toilet.
- 1:14Of course it was clean water. What kind of question is that?
- 1:18It's just a little test. You are a little pest.
- 1:22I said test, not pest. So when your kids asked for a
- 1:26cookie, what did you give them? A cockroach, of course I gave
- 1:30him a cookie. Unless it was right before
- 1:33dinner. Am I going to get anything for
- 1:35answering these questions? Well, no.
- 1:39Let me ask you a question. If I asked you to quit asking me
- 1:43these questions, what would you say?
- 1:45I'd say OK then quit asking me these questions.
- 1:52Kids, did you know that there are books about Chubby and Bree?
- 1:56They're available on Amazon and e-book and paperback formats.
- 2:09Up in a tree hanging down from above, a beehive busily buzzing
- 2:14God's Love, Papa Bee, Mama Bee, Chubby and Bree buzzing God's
- 2:20way. Take a look and you'll see
- 2:30Chubby was buzzing. An awful buzz.
- 2:33An awful. Nobody loves me.
- 2:35Buzz because Bree was eating a honey drop.
- 2:38She ate and ate and wouldn't stop.
- 2:42Chubby asked. From where did it come?
- 2:44He had to know because he wanted some.
- 2:47He buzzed and buzzed till Bree finally stopped.
- 2:50Papa gave me this honey drop. Chubby was hurt, then he was
- 2:55mad. I didn't get a drop from my dad.
- 2:58Bree did. Not me.
- 3:01That isn't fair. Chubby thought his dad didn't
- 3:04care. He was mad.
- 3:07He buzzed and he buzzed. That awful.
- 3:10Nobody loves me. Buzzz.
- 3:13What's wrong? Mama asked.
- 3:15You're acting rude. I'm not pleased with your bad
- 3:18attitude. Chubby explained.
- 3:21I'm mad at Pop. He didn't give me a honey drop.
- 3:25Why breathe? Asked Chubby.
- 3:28But not me. It just isn't fair.
- 3:31No Siri. Mama said.
- 3:34Chubby, calm down. Be still.
- 3:38I see your problem. I can help.
- 3:40I will. Papa bought honey drop snacks
- 3:43for fun. Your sister Bree asked him for
- 3:46one. The question, Chubby, I have for
- 3:50you. Did you ask for a honey drop
- 3:53too? Chubby was stunned.
- 3:55By what? Mama asked.
- 3:58Is it too late? He asked her at last.
- 4:00It's never too late to do what's right.
- 4:03You should ask first. That's being polite.
- 4:07God gives good gifts to those who ask.
- 4:11Then Mama added. You have a task.
- 4:15Chubby buzzed off to speak to his dad.
- 4:18Papa, I'm. Sorry for thinking bad, I got
- 4:21upset. Bad thoughts fill my head.
- 4:24I should have come and asked you instead.
- 4:27All of that over 1 honey drop chubby.
- 4:31My love for you will not stop, but even more is God's love for
- 4:36you. What we ask for, God said he
- 4:40would do. Always remember, do what is
- 4:43right. You're never wrong when being
- 4:46polite. Being polite is always God's
- 4:50way. Anything else you want to say?
- 4:54Chubby smiled big as he asked his pop May.
- 4:57I have a big honey drop. Right then Pop gave the drop he
- 5:02asked for. When we asked God, he gives even
- 5:06more. Casey, would you look at this?
- 5:12Your lunch bag has a rock in it, I know.
- 5:16No, Can you believe it? Mom was fixing my lunch so I
- 5:19could go to the park with my friends.
- 5:21I told her I wanted a peanut butter and Jelly sandwich.
- 5:25But when I got to the park, this is what I found in my lunch bag.
- 5:28A rock. What kind of mom would give her
- 5:31kid a rock to eat for lunch? I thought mom loved me well.
- 5:36Maybe we're out of peanut butter.
- 5:37But then why not just give me a Jelly sandwich?
- 5:40Or a tuna sandwich? Anything's better than a rock.
- 5:44I've never heard of a mom giving her kid or rock to eat for
- 5:47lunch. Exactly, I think somethings
- 5:50wrong with mom, maybe we should take her to the doctor so they
- 5:53could check her to find out if she's going crazy or something.
- 5:57No, no, no, no. Don't do that.
- 6:00I put the rock in your lunch. Excuse me?
- 6:03I wanted to show these kids that parents want to give their kids
- 6:06good things, not bad things, The Bible says.
- 6:09If parents know how to give good things to their kids, how much
- 6:12more will God give us good things because He loves us?
- 6:16So I'm actually helping you teach the lesson this week.
- 6:20Yes, and you did a great job, Stacy.
- 6:22Thank you so much. You're welcome, Casey.
- 6:25So can I have my sandwich now? I ate it.
- 6:29I was hungry. Mom, Casey ate my sandwich.
- 6:38Have you ever asked your parents for a sandwich to eat, but
- 6:42instead of giving you a sandwich, they give you a rock?
- 6:48No. Do you know why your parents
- 6:50make you good food? Because they love you and they
- 6:54want to do good things for you. Did you know God loves you too
- 6:59and He wants to give you His very best?
- 7:03Can I tell you a secret? God's very best is better than
- 7:10anything your parents can give you.
- 7:13I know that sounds like a lot because your parents love you a
- 7:18lot. And it's true.
- 7:20Matthew 711 says God gives good gifts to those who ask Him.
- 7:28Can you say that with me? Say God gives good gifts?
- 7:31God. Gives good gifts.
- 7:33Oh come on, you can be louder than that.
- 7:35Say God gives good gifts. God gives.
- 7:38Good gifts to those who ask him to.
- 7:40Those who ask. Him.
- 7:42OK, let's say it again. Say God gives good gifts.
- 7:45God gives good gifts. To those who ask him to.
- 7:48Those who? Ask him.
- 7:50Very good boys and girls. This is one of my favorite
- 7:55places to visit. It's a farm.
- 7:58They have all kinds of animals and they grow food that we buy
- 8:02in the grocery stores. There's Farmerdale now.
- 8:05Hey there, Casey, what brings you out here?
- 8:09I wanted the kids to meet you. What are you doing with that
- 8:12rock? Trying to get rid of it.
- 8:16Rocks are not good for my crops. They keep the roots of my corn
- 8:20from growing deep. If the roots don't grow deep,
- 8:24the plants can't grow corn. So rocks are bad to a farmer?
- 8:29I reckon so. That reminds me of something
- 8:32Jesus said he was teaching about the goodness of God and
- 8:36comparing himself to moms and dads.
- 8:38What mom, if her kid asked for a sandwich, would give them a rock
- 8:43to eat? No mom would do that.
- 8:46You got that right, Casey. Now, I did ask my mom for a
- 8:50piece of cake once. She gave me a sandwich first,
- 8:53but never a rock God. Knows what we need and He gives
- 8:58it to us when we ask him for it. Remember that fella in the Bible
- 9:01that had sores all over his body?
- 9:04The Leper. That's the one.
- 9:07He came to Jesus and bowed down at his feet.
- 9:10He wanted Jesus to heal him. He'd probably heard all about
- 9:13the miracles Jesus did. So he tells Jesus, Jesus, if you
- 9:18want to, you could heal me. I reckon he didn't know if Jesus
- 9:22was good all the time. He just thought that Jesus did
- 9:25good sometimes. Maybe he thought Jesus would
- 9:28give him a rock instead of healing him.
- 9:30But Jesus wanted to heal him, didn't he?
- 9:33He sure did. And that's exactly what Jesus
- 9:36told that man. He said I want to be healed.
- 9:41And then all the sores disappeared.
- 9:44No rocks from Jesus. The Bible says God gives good
- 9:49gifts to those who ask him. Matthew 711.
- 9:52That's good to know, Farmerdale. Thanks for letting us come
- 9:55visit. Anytime, Casey, I want you to
- 9:58know that when you asked to come visit next time, I won't bring a
- 10:02rock. OK, it's time for our Bible
- 10:06verse. Let's get our hearts and minds
- 10:08ready. Wow heart, what happened to you?
- 10:12Stacy hit me with a rock. She shouldn't be throwing rocks.
- 10:17Someone could get hurt. Someone did get hurt heart.
- 10:21That's not a good thing. You're.
- 10:22Right brain, Stacy. What do you want, Sandwich
- 10:28Monster? 1st I'm sorry I ate your
- 10:30sandwich and as soon as I'm done I will make you another
- 10:34sandwich. I forgive you, Casey.
- 10:37And you don't have to make me a sandwich.
- 10:39I was making one when you called me.
- 10:42Now you need to apologize to heart.
- 10:44For what? You hit him in the eye with a
- 10:47rock. I didn't mean to, I just threw
- 10:50the rock because I was mad. I didn't even see where it
- 10:54landed. It landed on my eye.
- 10:58I'm really sorry heart. It won't happen again.
- 11:02I forgive. You, Stacy, I'll get back to my
- 11:05sandwich making. Bye guys, bye.
- 11:08Stacy. What's the verse today, Casey?
- 11:12Today's verse is Matthew 711. God gives good gifts to those
- 11:17who ask him. Let's say it together, kids, God
- 11:21gives good gifts. God gives good gifts.
- 11:24To those who ask him to. Those who ask him.
- 11:29Now you try brain. God gives good hits to those who
- 11:33smack him. That is not how the verse goes.
- 11:37God doesn't hit people, He loves people.
- 11:41God gives good gifts, not good hits.
- 11:45He's. Right brain Stacy gives good
- 11:48hits. Help me boys and girls, God
- 11:51gives good gifts. God gives good.
- 11:54Gifts to those who ask him to. Those who?
- 11:59Ask him So what's a good gift? Well, a good gift would be
- 12:03healing for Heart's eye. I'm going to pray God your word
- 12:07says that by. Jesus stripes I.
- 12:10Am healed. Thank you that I am your.
- 12:13Child and you give me good gifts.
- 12:16In Jesus. Name Amen.
- 12:20Your eye looks better heart, how does it feel?
- 12:23It feels fine. Praise God.
- 12:26Matthew 711 God gives good gifts to those who ask him.
- 12:30Matthew 7. 11 God gives. Good gifts to.
- 12:35To those who ask him. Now it's time for today's Bible
- 12:39story. I can't wait to hear it.
- 12:41And I can't wait to do it. It's the hearer.
- 12:44And the doer. Of God's word, who's blessed?
- 12:58Large crowds followed Jesus as he came down the mountainside.
- 13:02Suddenly a man with leprosy, a very contagious disease,
- 13:07approached him and knelt before him.
- 13:10Lord, there are a lot of people following us.
- 13:13They really like the things you're teaching.
- 13:16Please, Lord, if you will. I know.
- 13:19You can heal me, Jesus. He's a leper.
- 13:21He's got a. Lot of bad germs see his hand is
- 13:25bandaged to cover the sores. He shouldn't be here around all
- 13:28these people. It's against the.
- 13:30Law. Anyone that comes near him could
- 13:32get leprosy. He's right.
- 13:34I am a leper. Nobody loves lepers.
- 13:37They make us live by ourselves, away from.
- 13:39Everyone I was. Hoping maybe?
- 13:42That you would love me enough to heal me.
- 13:44I have come to give good gifts to those who ask because I love
- 13:48everyone, even those who have leprosy.
- 13:51I am willing be healed. My hand is healed, the leprosy
- 13:57is gone. Go show yourself to the priest
- 14:00so that he can declare you clean according to the law.
- 14:04Thank you. Jesus.
- 14:06I guess healing is more contagious than disease.
- 14:10So is my love, Peter. God still gives good gifts
- 14:18today, kids, and the best gift is getting Jesus in your heart.
- 14:24He loves you so much that all you have to do is ask.
- 14:28If you want Jesus to come live in your heart, then I want to
- 14:31pray with you dear God. Dear God, thanks for sending
- 14:36Jesus. Thanks for sending.
- 14:37Jesus. To die for my sins.
- 14:40To die for my sins, Jesus come into my heart.
- 14:44Jesus. Come into my.
- 14:47Life be the boss of my life be. The boss of my.
- 14:50Life in Jesus name In Jesus name, Amen.
- 14:56Time for spiritual exercises. Everyone.
- 14:59Stand up on your feet. Here we go.
- 15:01You ready? Repeat after me.
- 15:03Stretch it up real high. I love the Lord.
- 15:07I love the Lord with. All my heart.
- 15:10With all my heart, now show me your muscles.
- 15:14God is good. God is.
- 15:17Good all the time. All the.
- 15:21Time I'm not afraid. I'm not afraid.
- 15:24God is with me. God.
- 15:25Is. With me.
- 15:27Good. Now show me your Superman pose
- 15:30by Jesus stripes. By Jesus stripes I am healed.
- 15:35I am healed. Nice work.
- 15:37Now these are my favorite kinky push ups.
- 15:41Up down up down. I love others, I love others.
- 15:47Jesus loves me like. Jesus loves me.
- 15:51That was a good workout. All right, let's cool it down.
- 15:55Let's stretch it out. I obey my parents.
- 15:59I obey my. Parents.
- 16:01For this pleases. God, for it pleases God.
- 16:05Good job kids, now just shake it out.
- 16:07Shake it out, Turn around if you want.
- 16:11Good job kids, I'm proud of you. OK man, so one day this cat
- 16:20comes to Jesus and says hey Jesus, I don't want to be a cat
- 16:24anymore man. A talking cat.
- 16:27Oh, you're a talking fish. It's just that I don't remember
- 16:31any talking cats in the Bible. There was a talking snake and a
- 16:36talking donkey and a talking cat.
- 16:39I'll take your word for it, Finish your story.
- 16:43So the cat falls in front of Jesus and he says to Jesus, Hey
- 16:46Jesus, I don't want to be a cat no more.
- 16:49If you are willing, I can be clean.
- 16:52Why would a cat say that to Jesus?
- 16:55Man, I don't know, maybe the cat was tired of licking himself
- 16:58clean. If Jesus made him clean then he
- 17:01could just be lazy. What kind of a cat was it?
- 17:05It was a leopard man. It was a leopard.
- 17:09Yeah, that's what I say. No, you said leopard, which is a
- 17:13big cat. I said leper, which is someone
- 17:16with a disease called leprosy. Oh, so why did he want to be
- 17:21clean? Couldn't he take a bath or
- 17:23something? He wanted Jesus to heal him.
- 17:26Well, why didn't he just say that?
- 17:29Jesus, if you're willing, you can make me healed.
- 17:32Well, in the Bible, if you were a leper, you were called
- 17:35unclean. Dirty.
- 17:38What? Where I grew up, if you were not
- 17:39clean, you were called dirty. Anyway, nobody dared to touch
- 17:44someone that was unclean. Dirty.
- 17:47Because if they did, they would become unclean.
- 17:50Or dirty. Finish your story.
- 17:53So Jesus, he touches the leper. I thought nobody could touch a
- 17:58leper. If you touch a leper, you become
- 18:01a leper, unless you're Jesus. And the leper knew that.
- 18:06That's why he asked Jesus to heal him.
- 18:08I mean make him clean. Yes.
- 18:10Why did he ask? I would have just tackled Jesus
- 18:13or something. He was being polite, which is
- 18:17our word for today. You do know what polite means,
- 18:20don't you, Paco? Of course one time I was with my
- 18:24Papa in his car and the engine died so he called my uncle to
- 18:28bring his truck and chain and hooked the car to the back of
- 18:31the truck with the chain so my uncle could pull it.
- 18:34I guess Jesus was like my uncle, huh?
- 18:36I am really confused right now. Instead of the leper pulling
- 18:41Jesus into being dirty, Jesus pulled him into being healed.
- 18:45Wait to pull it. Jesus, Pull it, pull.
- 18:47It. It's not pull it.
- 18:49The word is polite. It means to be nice.
- 18:53Matthew 711 says God gives good gifts to those who ask him.
- 18:58The leper nicely asked Jesus to heal him.
- 19:01And Jesus nicely pulled it out of him.
- 19:04Pull it. Pull it.
- 19:06Humans. Hey, you left without saying
- 19:10goodbye. That's not very polite, man.
- 19:16You can hear and see more of Paco and the Fish telling
- 19:19stories about Jesus on your favorite podcast or video
- 19:23platform. Just search for Paco and the
- 19:26Fish. Casey, do you know what my
- 19:38favorite part of the clubhouse was today?
- 19:41Not really fuzzy, What part did you like?
- 19:45I liked it when you ate Stacy's sandwich and gave her a rock.
- 19:52Yeah, that was not a good thing. I did, Fuzzy.
- 19:55I wish I could take it back. Well, then you're really going
- 19:59to like what I learned today. Oh, what did you learn?
- 20:03I learned that when you get in a tub it's rub a dub dub.
- 20:09What does that even mean? Dub dubs rub off if you get in
- 20:14the tub. Today we talked about how God
- 20:17gives good things to those who ask.
- 20:20Oh. That's silly.
- 20:22Who would ask for bad things? Well, nobody asked for bad
- 20:26things, but a lot of people don't ask for anything.
- 20:31Wait, God promises to give us good things if we ask him and
- 20:35people don't ask? I know it's hard to believe, but
- 20:39some people think God is too busy to hear their prayers.
- 20:42Sometimes I'm too busy to pray. That's a good point.
- 20:47Some people just don't take time to pray.
- 20:50My mom always says you don't have because you don't ask.
- 20:55Your mom sounds wise. She is, and when I ask mom for
- 20:59something, she does her best to give me the best.
- 21:04And so does God. The Bible says God gives good
- 21:08gifts to those who ask him. Matthew 711.
- 21:12Can you say that Fuzzy? God gives good gifts to those
- 21:16who ask him. Matthew 711.
- 21:19Very good. Now say goodbye, Fuzzy.
- 21:23Goodbye, Fuzzy. Goodbye kids, see you next time
- 21:28at the Jesus and Me Clubhouse. See you back again at Casey's
- 21:37Clubhouse. It's the place we learn God's
- 21:41Word. Till we meet again at Casey's
- 21:44Clubhouse, let's be doers of what we've heard.
