In Jesus' appraisal of the church at Sardis, in the then Asia Minor, He declared the church a dead church though it appeared to be alive. He went on to admonish the church to strengthen whatever remained that was about to die so as not to die. Dr. Charles Abiodun, in this podcast, draws attention to the relevance of this Christ's appraisal in the present day church of God. He enumerates certain lessons to learn from the appraisal and concludes that there is the need to emulate the commendable things from the Sardis church, and to avoid those that are not worthy of emulation.
