- 9:36fateh? This is today's hokum nama from
- 9:39Sridhuvasa membersa uttered by our first guru, Guru Nanak Devi
- 9:43gender heading Vardhan's first Mahal 2nd house.
- 9:48Guru Sabji says that the Peacocks are singing sweetly.
- 9:54Oh sister, the rainy season of sawan has come.
- 9:58Your beauteous eyes are like a string of charms, fascinating
- 10:05and enticing. The sole bride.
- 10:08I would cut myself into pieces for the blessed vision of your
- 10:14darshan. I am a sacrifice to your name.
- 10:18I take pride in you. Without you, what would What
- 10:22could I be proud of? So smash your bracelets along
- 10:29with your bed, O sole bride, and break your arms along with the
- 10:36arms of your couch. In spite of all the decorations
- 10:42which you have made, oh sole bride, your husband, Lord, is
- 10:47attuned to someone else. You do not have the baselets of
- 10:55gold, nor the good crystal jewellery.
- 10:59You have not dealt with the true dweller.
- 11:04Those arms which do not embrace the neck of the husband Lord
- 11:11burn in anguish. All my companions have gone to
- 11:17enjoy the husband Lord, which do should I, the rest one, go to?
- 11:26O friend, I am very well behaved, but I am not pleasing
- 11:32to my husband Lord at all. I have woven my hair into lovely
- 11:38braids and saturated their partings with Vermilion.
- 11:47But when I go before him, I am not accepted and I die suffering
- 11:55in sorrow. I weep.
- 11:57The world weeps. Even the birds of the forest
- 12:04weep with me. The only thing which does not
- 12:09weep is my body's sense of separation, which has separated
- 12:15me from my husband. Lord, in our dream he came and
- 12:20went away again. I cried so many tears.
- 12:25I cannot come to you. O my beloved I and I cannot send
- 12:31anyone to you. Come to me, O blessed will
- 12:35sleep. Perhaps I will see my husband
- 12:38Lord again, one who brings me to a message from my Lord and
- 12:45master, says Nannika. What shall I give to him?
- 12:50Cutting of my head, I give it to him to sit upon without my head.
- 12:57I shall still serve him. Why haven't I died?
- 13:03Why hasn't my life just ended? My husband Lord, has become a
- 13:10stranger to me. Vahiguchi ka khalsa.
- 13:14Vahiguchi Ki Fateh.
