- 1:55The Adventures are of the Saint starring Vincent Price. Let's play based time characters
- 2:08created by Leslie Tarter An all the millions from books, magazines, and motion
- 2:13pictures. The Robin Hood of Modern Crime. Now come transcriber Radio Dodding Hollywood,
- 2:16brilliant and talented actor of him from price As. Let's think. Oh,
- 2:23open up, please hurry. Well to what do I owe? I've
- 2:30been following that? Truly, you're a blonde. I assure you. The
- 2:32men who followed me weren't interested in the color of my hair. Don't tell
- 2:36me. They were chasing you for your money. No, dear, not
- 2:38my money, my life. It's good to be here. Finally, I've
- 2:43come a long way to see you, Simon. Well, if i'd known
- 2:45you were coming, you didn't. You're as unexpected as Yankee bean soup on
- 2:49a menu in Moscow, but infinitely more welcome. You weren't contacted, You
- 2:53didn't speak to mactim any Maxine. I know happens to be a restaurant in
- 2:58parts. Oh, they intercepted him, and we were so sure he wasn't
- 3:01even known to them. Did he's cover with We'll have to proceed on our
- 3:06own, Simons. We can do it, of course we can do it.
- 3:08But what what particular type of melodrama are we playing? I'd better tell
- 3:13you the whole story. Everything you have, the sout and thea shahera is
- 3:16ada? Or what is your name? Claire? Claire? Or sit down,
- 3:20Claire, thank you. I've just come back from Mexico City. He
- 3:24was there. He's changed in the last five years, Simon. You'd never
- 3:28recognize him. It must have been plastic surgery. He doesn't look I see,
- 3:32and now I know everything? Something what sort of something? I thought
- 3:37I heard? A footstead Simon? The blinds? Put down the blind How
- 3:40stupid of me not to have done it immediately? Yeah? Are you staring
- 3:46at my not? Is? Someone? Is one of them? A little
- 3:50man in a badly sitting suit at least two sizes of too large for him
- 3:53and a large floppy hat. He's there, Yeah, he's there. The
- 3:57other one, it's a large one and he's there, all of it.
- 4:00Oh, come away from the window, Simon. You needn't bother pulling the
- 4:04other blind down? Now? Who are they? Claire? Which wild Halloween?
- 4:09Are those two types left over from? How many more of them are
- 4:12there? How many more hundreds Simon? Perhaps thousands? We'll never know exactly.
- 4:18We must go, Simon at once. Shouldn't we have a little explaining
- 4:21before we do? Any going? There isn't time Those two down. There
- 4:26will be coming up soon, and when they do, you must trust me,
- 4:29Samon, you must come on, Claire. Is there anyone do you
- 4:45think we were followed? Simon? Is there anyone behind us? Looking Grand
- 4:48Central Station? There are all with people behind you? Tell me? Are
- 4:51we needing a train or taking one train? What makes you think we're taking
- 4:56a train? Diamond? Well, I should have warned you every now and
- 4:58then I get a little rational like thinking the reason we're here in a railroad
- 5:02terminal has something to do with a train. Did I say something to distrusting
- 5:05me? Huh? We call me? Just need to do minut If I
- 5:10meant it, you mean there's another way. So that's why we came here.
- 5:15We must do this more often. No, don't talk. I'm your
- 5:18sweetheart. I'm going away again. Coach, Please, this is no time
- 5:21to joke. He's watching his Kissney, Well, I'll force myself. Who
- 5:28Simon? Intent for you? Dog? You he's got I must remember to
- 5:32do something very nice for him sometime. And now, sweetheart, watch and
- 5:35now, sweetheart, we really do say goodbye. We've w we say goodbye,
- 5:41but come now, don't look so bewildered, but sweetheart by Simon,
- 5:44and thanks for the use of a hall. You forgot to close the door,
- 6:03mister Templar, Yes, so I did. But since it's my door,
- 6:09I think I'll leave it open this time, especially since you're just about
- 6:12ready to leave. You are wrong, Saints, I am not ready to
- 6:15leave. I have a few things I must do before I go. What
- 6:17sort of thing. Perhaps I shall kill you first. In fact, I'm
- 6:20quite sure that I shall. But that is the least of what I must
- 6:24do here in your apartment. Here, if you insist on killing me,
- 6:27I'm afraid that I'll have to insist that you regard it as important. Oh,
- 6:30it is important only to you and to the policeman who will have the
- 6:33tiresome task of finding out who did it. You will shut the door,
- 6:36please, Saint. I will shut the door. As for your new friend,
- 6:42Saint, the matter of your death will be to them nearly a temporary
- 6:46inconvenient and for me the matter of my death will be, I'm afraid,
- 6:48a rather permanent inconvenience. Well, I'm to be killed by a luger.
- 6:54I see, so glad it isn't one of the cheaper guns. How splendidly
- 6:59you whistle as you past the graveyard. It's too bad, too bad,
- 7:02you could have been so useful to us. You mean there are more at
- 7:06home like you? There are more. Perhaps there are not as many as
- 7:11there should be, but we make up for our numerical deficiency by knowing that
- 7:15right is on our side. It should be a great comfort to me as
- 7:18I lie in my corfin, to know that I wasn't murdered by bad men,
- 7:21but by good men. There's a great pity you did not think along
- 7:25those lines before the temple, before, before what before you decided to join
- 7:29them instead of us. It's almost midnight. I hope we shall not have
- 7:34to wait very much longer. We are waiting for some a messenger with a
- 7:38package for you. A package? How nice? Aren't you just dying to
- 7:42know what's in it? Hardly since I am the one who sent it to
- 7:45you. When the boy arrives, Templar, you will go to the door
- 7:47and accept the package. Oh I will, Indeed you will, and I
- 7:50shall be right behind you, and so will this loogirl. Needless to say,
- 7:56my friend, any attempt to seek help from the messenger will result in
- 7:59noting your execution. But the boys as well. You played dirty poker,
- 8:03don't you Hawaii? Oh it does not matter Hawaiian, but it does to
- 8:05me. I al would like to know who I'm being murdered by. Oh,
- 8:09I am called nothing Vaccine. So you're Maxine. You have heard of
- 8:13me? Oh, but of course she learned about me in Mexico City.
- 8:18I despise people who are abnormally inquisitive, just as you must. But by
- 8:22she, I suppose you mean Claire. Ah, that is what she calls
- 8:24herself. Now, Claire, she's very beautiful. You're not. When I
- 8:30saw you kissing in the railroad station before, I almost envied you, until
- 8:35I realized that you would soon be dead. What is it, Saint?
- 8:41No more whistling? That's the graveyard. And I was just thinking, so
- 8:45you were the one way you put on a little performance for in the railroad
- 8:48station, eh performance, And until you saw Claire and me together, you
- 8:52imagined, for some reason or other, that I was at bat for your
- 8:54team. Oh please say so North waste the last moment your life and resorting
- 9:01to childish ruses. I think prayer is much more fitting to the occasion,
- 9:05don't you see macdine Claire's reason for getting me to the railroad station was to
- 9:09make you think that she and I were on the same fig of course,
- 9:13and she was the one who knew that my train was due at that time,
- 9:16May not you she I was supposed to know when you were to arrive.
- 9:20You received my Letpard dies You know you must have I received your answer
- 9:24at all, please saying please stop clutching at strats. I am going to
- 9:30kill you. It is inevitable you'd die as soon as I regained the package.
- 9:33Yes, the package. It was fortunate that I had the good sense
- 9:37to send it ahead to you when the train stopped in Philadelphia, was it
- 9:41not. I should have been dead by now if I had not done so.
- 9:45You know, vaccine. I find myself in a very unusual position.
- 9:48Oh, I quite agree. It isn't every day that one gets killed.
- 9:52I meant it's unusual, because if I weren't going to die by means of
- 9:54that efficient looking little luger of yours, I think I'd probably drop dead.
- 10:00I'm a case of acute curiosity. Just the messenger, my definitely, that's
- 10:05not for whom the bell told it told for the who is packet Steplas,
- 10:11do not open the door all the way that's not sural, perfectly natural.
- 10:16I will be right behind you. Remember as you both you and the boys.
- 10:20You got to open up. I want to go home. I mean
- 10:24Henry, it's about time. And my name ain't Henry, it's Marris.
- 10:28Oh mind Simon. But in a few minutes someone is going to change it
- 10:33to mind. It's no matter what you jump like that for something. Jab
- 10:35into your back, jabbed into my back. No, no, no,
- 10:39it's an old family of fliction, spasms of the Calabassies. You must let
- 10:43me tell you about it. It always come not me. You don't tell
- 10:46about it. Tell you doctor. I got to get home and get some
- 10:48sleep. I'm pitching tomorrow, pitching. Say are you a picture? I'll
- 10:52say I am. I'm the best picture we got. Maybe you heard of
- 10:54our team, the Brooklyn Beavers. The Brooklyn Beavers, of course I've heard
- 10:58of them. Yeah where why, Well, everybody's heard of the Brooklyn Beavers,
- 11:03especially an old Yankee pitcher like me. Morning you pitch for the Yankees.
- 11:09Hey, hey, look, maybe you can help me with gee another
- 11:13spasma of the Calahusas. Huh so bad the things that happened to form of
- 11:18pitches. Hey, look, mister, can you show me how to develop
- 11:20a good wind up? Wind up? You want me to show you how
- 11:24I used to wind up for a pitch? Gee? Would you sure?
- 11:28Now? First you put this foot, the left one, out about two
- 11:31feet two feet huh I. Next, classed the ball in both hands and
- 11:35raise your arms up over your head towards the back as far back as they'll
- 11:39go like this. That's right, you're getting it. Then using all the
- 11:43strengthen your legs all the strength. Now you suddenly kick back. What's the
- 11:50what's the noise in there? It sounds like somebody got herten and so down?
- 11:54What my mine is? Big ones? You're us? And furthermore,
- 12:01you never pitch for no Yankees. You don't think so? I know so
- 12:05I never seen such a lousy wind up. Here. It's your package and
- 12:09you can just forget about the tip. Buddy thinks the things some people tell
- 12:13you, and for what only so they can impress you. Come on,
- 12:26Max, wake up some now it's time to be alive again. Here.
- 12:33Now see if some of the there that's hey, wait a minute, that's
- 12:37Napoleon, Brandy. If you still at Napoleon, and I will never forgive
- 12:41you that you don't feel very well, do you? Max? Is that
- 12:46any kind of a look now to throw at a man who's just been feeding
- 12:50you? Napoleon Brandy? Go on, you'll hold the gun, get it?
- 12:58Oh? With it? You mean shoot you? Oh? I wouldn't
- 13:00dream of shooting you, Max, wh I'd be lonesome without you the diet.
- 13:03I can't tell you how much I've been looking forward to an inch by
- 13:07inch travelog based on your trip to Mexico. You will get nothing from you,
- 13:11said, go ahead, shoot. I will not be the first man
- 13:15to die for something you believe. Thank you, Nathan Hale. Oh?
- 13:20Oh, yes, I know. And you must try to forgive me.
- 13:22But after all, what a little kick in the pit of the stomach between
- 13:26friends. Tomorrow, perhaps you'll be kicking me in the stomach. Water.
- 13:31I'll get you water, but I won't give you one. You'll have to
- 13:33buy it. Buy it by answering a question. The thing I found in
- 13:39the package? What makes it so valuable? No, I will not tell
- 13:43you I cannot water. Please, maybe you can buy yourself a glass of
- 13:46water with the answer to this. I shall not answer any question. You
- 13:50have courage, my friend. But here's a question anyhow, there's a little
- 13:54man in a floppy hat and a suit that's too large for him, and
- 13:56another man roughly patterned after the Empire State Building. You know, yes your
- 14:01sign? Oh no, no temple not outside shating? Well, you're just
- 14:09one yourself? A glass of water? Would you like to try for two?
- 14:11We'll not answer any more questions. Stop a little fellow, aren't you
- 14:15I'll get your water and then I will make sure that you will be here
- 14:18when I get back. And you're going on just down to the corner.
- 14:22I want to ask those two curious employees as Satan's just why they prefer to
- 14:26spend the night on the street staring up at my windows when beds are so
- 14:31much more comfortable. Excuse me? What is it? Shoe? May I
- 14:48trouble you for a light? Oh yes, sir, I'm like your value
- 14:52A cigarette is already it is? You mean I've been smoking all this time?
- 14:56It didn't need how my old a cigaret? You're gone now, no
- 15:01more talk. That's amazing. This is the first time in all these years
- 15:05I've ever heard the Empire State Building speak. And just what are you doing
- 15:09so far from thirty fourth Street? Ran out on your foundations. You're gone
- 15:13now or I hurt any gentlemen? Just trying to find honey Ali? Ali?
- 15:22Didn't I read something recently about you and Rita Haywn. You're gone now?
- 15:26You must forgive my friends, and he's very sensitive and very inhospitable.
- 15:31Now if you were visiting me in my home, or haven't you acquired squatter's
- 15:35rights to this stretch of sidewalk yet? I cannot understand? But then I
- 15:37will be blunt exactly what about my windows? It's so fascinating to you and
- 15:43this near eastern Gargantua that you make a career out of observing them. I'm
- 15:46as friends, you are mistaken, my friend, and I arrived at this
- 15:50particular frience on you moments ago. You were standing here, and did you
- 15:54breeze fresh air? Not to watch anyone's windows. I make him to go
- 15:58now. But it's quite all right, gentlemen. Is just making chalk,
- 16:04that's right, I'm just making talk. As I was telling a friend of
- 16:08mine before, a fellow named Maxim, who recently returned from Mexico City.
- 16:12I said, Max, this thing you brought back from Mexico with you seems
- 16:17so absolutely worth it. But it must actually be very valuable, since so
- 16:22many people are willing to commit murder for it. He's good. I bought
- 16:29justice, man, Victor. I think, I say, you give the
- 16:32signal. He's a right thing. I do exactly right, my John,
- 16:36exactly. And now if you will be so kind to carry him to the
- 16:38car. I have a feeling of the leader would like to have a talk
- 16:42with this man who caught himself the Saint Hesh Schmidt would like to talk to
- 17:00you. What I said her Schmidt would like to have it talk. Tell
- 17:06him I never see anyone without an appointment. You'll be respectful. One in
- 17:10the presence of the leader could be either he conducts an orchestra, because there
- 17:15were questions and you can a slap in the village, a sense of sin
- 17:21on your seat. That's all right, Victor, mister Teendler, can I
- 17:23mean see that if you want to see Victor, I can sit here if
- 17:27I want to, Yeah, yeah, yeah, And you you must be
- 17:32Schmidt. That just correct. And now, Chamindler, if it immediately get
- 17:36down to the business at hand. There is it? You mean you live
- 17:40here and you don't know. I have no intention of wasting time listening to
- 17:42your misguided at Thames that you am a templar. You know the object of
- 17:47which I prefer, I must have it at once. You're here, I
- 17:51hear and two will get you five. There are people in Germany who can
- 17:53also hear. Stops. You're studying that face lapping business. Again. I
- 18:00told you before you has to be more respectful and the leader speak. If
- 18:04you just untie my hands for a moment, I'll show both you and the
- 18:07Leader exactly how much respect I have for both of you. How fine temptor?
- 18:11Where is it? What the glass? You find? A little whiskey
- 18:15glass that got a pig? Both? Do you from Mexico? Oh?
- 18:18That you know? I had a feeling it was that whiskey glass you were
- 18:22after? Where is it? Try the five and ten? Oh? You
- 18:29know, Victor, someone's going to have to cure you of that habit.
- 18:33You're going to hit that hand someday. Will answer the Leader's question, where
- 18:37is the whisky glass? I give the correct answer? Do I get to
- 18:41try for the giant jackpot? If you give the correct answer, sign you
- 18:45get to die simply and quickly and without and have you annoying little touches.
- 18:48My friend Ali is so good. You make it sounds so attractive. The
- 18:52glass is in my apartment, you lie, alien, pick the search all
- 18:56over your apart. The glass you're looking for is mixed in with all my
- 19:00other whiskey glasses. They all look alike. And you lie, I've wanted
- 19:03back here horn of your whiskey glass. No, that's the hon and the
- 19:07one we want is not to moten for the last time, says what did
- 19:11you do with it? Very well? The guy, I guess I know
- 19:15when I'm like, ah huh, now you are getting vine. The glass
- 19:18is in a check locker at Grand Central station. Check looker the keys in
- 19:23the locker, there's the key. Well, I'd be very happy to go
- 19:26home and get it for you. That will not be necessary. Then tell
- 19:30us where the keeps hidden. It's hidden in the lamp on my desk,
- 19:33in a lamp veil in the lamp, in the socket where the bulb screws
- 19:38on. Just unscrew the bulb and put your finger inside the socket. You'll
- 19:42get it. You've better be tiding the true sampler. I'll go at once
- 19:47as Schmidt. You'll come with yeah him, he's well, Hi side,
- 19:52HOLLI will return in a little while before you go, Vick, I suppose
- 19:56you answer me a question. They tell me, who's your tailor? My
- 20:00tailor. I've been admiring that duke you have on. I think it's very
- 20:03considerate of your tailor to make it two sizes too large. And in case
- 20:07you have a friend visiting, Oh my goodness, rest, I say for
- 20:11Aley. He will do his best to entertain you while we are gone.
- 20:15He will do tricks, all sorts of tricks with hot iron and lighted matches.
- 20:21And she will see. Let us go half shoe after you, mine
- 20:26hair after you soon soon. I really get hot, I really get very
- 20:42hot. Why send my laundry out? Ally? It burnt pouskin? You
- 20:47like that? I love it, But I'm a little disappointed in you.
- 20:49Ally, your friend Victor claimed that you had some fresh and original ideas.
- 20:53That hot iron stuff goes back to the Middle Ages, which is where I
- 20:57wouldn't mind going back to right now. Business best torture man in all world?
- 21:02You you know better? Why me? You thought your man that best?
- 21:07I no believe you mean to say you've never heard of terrible templar.
- 21:11The trouble with you is you just haven't been attending the annual Torture is Convention,
- 21:15Pa. Would you mind turning your head the other way next time you
- 21:18say par that's the kind of torture I don't desive. I not believe you
- 21:22not torture three pally, You just ignorant that So why my butterfly twist is
- 21:26famous everywhere torture is practiced one first prize of the Iowa State Stop iron soon,
- 21:32then I show you hot irons, PA, high school stuff. Tell
- 21:36me how many lighted matches can you put under a fingernail? Three to reach
- 21:40me? Three? Only three? You do? Batter? How many you
- 21:42pull? Fourteen? One? Thingel very? I no belief your big show.
- 21:49So I'm a liar. I suppose now you want me to prove.
- 21:52You'll proof. You show me and tie my hands from behind his chair,
- 21:56and I'll show you what clean watches. Big shore A liar? You wanna
- 22:03pie from chair? No, you should be with the greatest of Sorry,
- 22:10I broke the chair in your head, Allie. I was getting sort of
- 22:14fond of that chair. Hello, Simon, sweetheart, you've come back to
- 22:30me. Yes, I've come back. But it's too late on the street.
- 22:34Too late on be cilly care Grand Central stations open all night? Or
- 22:37should we do our kissing right here? Okay, Simon, I'm not in
- 22:41the mood for banner. There is a man here in your apartment. He's
- 22:45in the other room. That's Maxine. Sure do you remember good old Maxine?
- 22:48Oh? Yes, I have much reason to remember Maxine. He said
- 22:52he was shot. Oh oh, that's too bad. He was a game
- 22:56little guy. You killed him? No, the unhopey twosome was here looking
- 23:00for the glass. They did it, the little man in a badly sitting
- 23:03coat in the giant Arab Yes, I should have guessed. But the whiskey
- 23:07glass, Simon, What happened to the whiskey glass? They have it Victor,
- 23:11and many calls the leader the leader. He's in New York. Schmid
- 23:15is here, all right, but believe me not to stay. Nor is
- 23:18Victor long for this world. Now I'm going to ask them questions, and
- 23:22what's more, I'm going to get some answers. Yes, Simon, I
- 23:26think you're entitled to some answers. You don't know why the glass is so
- 23:30important to you. Obviously, it carries somebody's fingerprints. I can't think of
- 23:33any other reason why a ten cent whiskey glass could be important. But who's
- 23:37you have heard of? Carl Brood, Karl Brooter, Brooter, yes,
- 23:42Hitler, they're apparent the man selected most likely to succeed him, but he's
- 23:48dead. Who is never completely proven he was thought to be dead. Go
- 23:52on, Claire, we have an organization among some of my countrymen which has
- 23:56sworn to track these beasts down. Well, we found Carl Bruder, our
- 24:00biggest prize in Mexico City. He'd had his face changed by surgery. He
- 24:06no longer was a fancy dresser he used to be. He used to call
- 24:10him the Nazi Beau Brummel. But still, adding together a hundred minute facts
- 24:15and clues, we knew it was Bruder. Well, why didn't you tell
- 24:18the government, Claire? They'd taken over from there on because everyone now takes
- 24:22it for granted the Bruder is dead. They can't conceive that he's alive.
- 24:26So you got his fingerprints, the one thing that couldn't change that would prove
- 24:30that Bruda was alive. Yes, we were going to send the glass to
- 24:33Germany to have the prince compared with the set of prints known to be Brutus
- 24:37that exists there. Then they would have believed us. Then they'd have to
- 24:40arrest him and make him answer for his crimes. But he knew that someone
- 24:44had gotten hold of the glass with his fingerprints, whose life or death to
- 24:47him to get it back. I was charged with bringing the glass here the
- 24:52Maxine vaccine, Poor Maxine. I was stupid. I didn't know why.
- 25:00Ours is not a very closely knittle organization, Simon. The members seldom meet
- 25:03each other. And we you mean you and for a Maxine were playing on
- 25:07the same team. Yes, but we didn't know. Neither of us knew
- 25:11we each threatened too bad. When you heard that max was coming to me
- 25:15to help him, you stage that scene in the station to make him think
- 25:18that I joined up on your varsity. Yes, yes, Irish Max would
- 25:23still be a live a fight. What's the use? It isn't Maxine's life
- 25:30that bothers me too much Now, it's losing the glass that is the unforgivable
- 25:33part of it. Now, brutal won't get away. What do you Betty
- 25:36doesn't a long evening in Grand Central station, you know any Simon, not
- 25:55even a light bringing. No, And I was sure I'll have him to
- 26:02return, Yes, Template, how put if you took return, and we
- 26:06taught you didn't especially care for our hospitality. Is it just fanny? He
- 26:11isn't careful, saying Charlie torture man's second class. But he doesn't know about
- 26:17our modern and improved methods with phillamorgue. I see you have brought a gift,
- 26:22Templar. How nice to have you here, my dear. I'm frightened.
- 26:27Frightened. You mustn't be fine just because I'm holding a gun, My
- 26:32dear, dying from a bullet is as a pleasant compared with some other way.
- 26:36He said, Yes, mister TEMpl she isn't afraid of the gun.
- 26:38Victor. It's that that duke you're wearing. I'm warning, and I too,
- 26:45well. Well, the leader heard his finger. It's gonna look terrible
- 26:48when you salute yourself in the mirror. Now enough, but then the leader,
- 26:52it's your own fault. A great, big leader like you should know
- 26:56better than to put his finger in a live light sock. Enough, you
- 26:59will be quiet. You here, here, you're rattling the ruins of the
- 27:03Reichschanfery. And they're such lovely ruins. You wonder with a poor simple minded
- 27:10I know, I know, I have to use deception on poor simple minded
- 27:12Ali, but on you are you? That's what I use on poor simple
- 27:22minded Victor and the glorious Leader. How does it feel to be looking down
- 27:25the wrong end of a looker for once boys? Only for you and others
- 27:27like you, it's the right end. Very well, you're fun, Templar,
- 27:32But you still must prove that I, Johann Schmidt, am carpruder and
- 27:37without the glasses. It's true. I do not have the glass you have.
- 27:41Ah, how unfortunate for you. But I have a role of film.
- 27:48He yes, I dusted the glass with powder and photographs the print,
- 27:52so I've got the fingerprints and more important, I've got the leader, right,
- 27:56very very Templar, You've got yes, Johann Schmidt, I've got you
- 28:02too. But it's Bruder who's the star attraction in my show. But I
- 28:07am Brewder. You're Bruder? Huh? And you think Johann Schmidt, the
- 28:10German equivalent of John Smith, is the ideal alias for a wanted man.
- 28:15It was an easy name, and the hot shot hearer lets little Victor precede
- 28:21him from a room. Oh come come, if you were the leader loud
- 28:23mouth, the Dictator's union would have you up on charges for that one.
- 28:27But he is the leader, he's Bruder. I'm swelling sure, and Claire
- 28:32and I are Hansling's Vettel. Your car bruder, little man, That's why
- 28:36you wear such a badly fitting suit. The Bruder was the Nazi bau Brummel.
- 28:41So your disguise called for you to get as far away from elegance as
- 28:44you could, didn't it not. It's not true, Schmidt is car brus.
- 28:48I still think enough of good clothes to get furious every time someone makes
- 28:52a crack about your appearance. Don't you look at you? Oh that suit
- 28:56looks awful, Victor, It's got enough room in it for three little tramps
- 29:00like you. You see, there you go again, the furious suiler.
- 29:06You know, when you get mad, you look just like that other tramp
- 29:07at all, that is. But why worry about your clothes at a time
- 29:11like this, Bruder? What do you care what you wear when they hang
- 29:15you? You've been listening to another Transcribe adventure of the Saints, the robin
- 29:27Hood of Modern Crime. Now here's our starve and some pride ladies and gentlemen
- 29:30in tonight's cast you heard Sammy Hill, lou Merrill Gilstatton Junior, Charlie lung
- 29:36Ed, Max and Ted Vonnell. It is Vincent Price inviting you to join
- 29:40us again next week at the same time for another exciting adventure of the Saint.
- 29:45Good Night next time, stay it on NBC. Welcome back. A
- 30:07nice twist at the end really kind of comes from out of nowhere, and
- 30:12in some ways, as you're listening to it, you think it's a typical
- 30:17story with a Peter Lourie sound alike. But having it turn out that the
- 30:22Peter Lourie sounded like is actually the Big Boss is definitely a surprise. And
- 30:30this is a little bit of a change from the traditional Saint episode, though
- 30:33ironically it feels more like an actual Saint story that might be in a book
- 30:40or on TV. Now we turn to listener comments and feedback, and we
- 30:45have this from Sheila. Every now and then I give to your radio show
- 30:51and I just love your show. Also, I love you. I can
- 30:55say that as a lady of seventy one, I'm sure with age we can
- 30:57all say anything we would like. So, young man, thank you for
- 31:00helping me sleep better at night. My husband also sleeps well, well,
- 31:06I'm glad to be of assistance and thanks so much for listening and I do
- 31:10appreciate your support. That will do it for today. We will be back
- 31:15tomorrow with Crime and Peter Chambers, and then next Monday join us for the
- 31:21Saint. In the meantime, send your comments to Box thirteen at Great Detectives
