- 1:18Speaker 7: Yeah, on the howls, for sure. Sometimes the alpha just
- 1:23Speaker 7: doesn't doesn't how the best?
- 1:26Speaker 5: Oh, I think I have pretty good.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Actually, let's be honest, I have the best howl.
- 1:34Speaker 5: Rushall just playing for second place. So Hey, good morning,
- 1:39Speaker 5: welcome back, Hello, Welcome back, Bud.
- 1:41Speaker 6: It feels great to be back. It's like I never left.
- 1:46Speaker 2: How was Idaho?
- 1:48Speaker 6: Idaho?
- 1:49Speaker 7: It was fantastic, A little different than here, a little different. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:55Speaker 7: we're on the was on the river a couple of
- 1:57Speaker 7: days and some float fishing, some fly fishing, catches the trout.
- 2:01Speaker 7: Yesterday late night now yesterday Sunday snowed on us a
- 2:05Speaker 7: little bit. Oh yeah, in May, that's right. Yeah, absolutely, Ida.
- 2:14Speaker 8: So I don't know what they got going on over there,
- 2:17Speaker 8: so maybe that's normal.
- 2:19Speaker 6: Yeah, it was, it was. It was a fantastic trip.
- 2:22Speaker 7: We went to fluid Idaho Falls and then we took
- 2:26Speaker 7: a little drive to a fantastic lodge called the South
- 2:30Speaker 7: Fork Lodge right there.
- 2:31Speaker 5: On the Snake River in the Swan Valley.
- 2:34Speaker 7: And if anybody knows anything about the about fly fish
- 2:38Speaker 7: in the trout game, this snake the Snake River is pretty.
- 2:43Speaker 7: It's a pretty good one. Yeah, it's it's a it's
- 2:45Speaker 7: very well known trout river.
- 2:47Speaker 6: And yeah, spent.
- 2:48Speaker 7: Two days me and huck boys trip with the Poncho
- 2:52Speaker 7: fellas and it was a very first class, well done trip.
- 2:57Speaker 7: And no, you didn't miss much, man, Yeah, I didn't
- 3:00Speaker 7: miss much.
- 3:01Speaker 2: I'm looking this place up. It looks really pretty.
- 3:03Speaker 6: It was.
- 3:03Speaker 5: I looked it was the pictures they were sending us before.
- 3:07Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, so the U I guess the lodge has
- 3:10Speaker 7: been there for a long time. Yeah, and new ownership
- 3:13Speaker 7: in twenty twenty. Like I think Jimmy Kimmel owns half
- 3:15Speaker 7: of it, and then another guy's this guy named Oliver
- 3:18Speaker 7: that owns uh is big in the fishing games, got
- 3:21Speaker 7: big fly fishing and fishing like different lodges or resorts
- 3:25Speaker 7: or cabins like all over the world. Kind of a
- 3:28Speaker 7: real big name in the fly fishing game. Yeah, I guess,
- 3:31Speaker 7: I don't I don't know.
- 3:32Speaker 6: This was one of the.
- 3:33Speaker 7: Real big reurgitating information that the people told me, Brady,
- 3:38Speaker 7: the fly fishing's not a big deal. I'm sure we've
- 3:41Speaker 7: all heard of them. So it was very well done.
- 3:45Speaker 5: Yeah, it looked like it was going to be a
- 3:46Speaker 5: trip where everything was first class. Yeah, it was gorgeous.
- 3:50Speaker 2: So you stay, there's like a lodge on the river.
- 3:52Speaker 6: Yeah, so everything's on the river.
- 3:55Speaker 7: So there's a lodge, and they then they have a
- 3:57Speaker 7: couple of cabins and they had some like these brandy like
- 4:00Speaker 7: little a frame.
- 4:01Speaker 5: Yeah, places that we stayed.
- 4:03Speaker 8: How many people went, y'all all stayed in the same lodge.
- 4:09Speaker 6: Yeah, well we all stayed.
- 4:10Speaker 5: But it's like a huge No, it's not.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Huge like the So there weren't that many people there.
- 4:14Speaker 7: There weren't that many people. I mean, I'm sure there's
- 4:16Speaker 7: a there's only so many people. Like it's a fishing lodge,
- 4:19Speaker 7: you go, like, if you're going there, you're fishing. So
- 4:22Speaker 7: there's only so many Yeah, and there's only so many
- 4:25Speaker 7: people that uh like per the rules of the river,
- 4:28Speaker 7: that can get on the river at the same time. So, like,
- 4:30Speaker 7: only so many places. So there's probably like eight like
- 4:34Speaker 7: a frame little houses, little condos. There was a couple
- 4:38Speaker 7: of lodges and then or like a couple of little
- 4:41Speaker 7: cabins off to itself if like you have your whole family,
- 4:44Speaker 7: and then the lodge itself had you know, a couple
- 4:47Speaker 7: of handfuls of rooms to stay right there like in
- 4:50Speaker 7: the main cabin area.
- 4:53Speaker 5: Yeah, you had a couple of quarterbacks with you. Typically
- 4:55Speaker 5: y'all like to get a little competitive. Sure, no matter
- 4:58Speaker 5: what it is. Sure, so hopefully you you know, didn't
- 5:00Speaker 5: embarrass us. I'm sure I did. Yeah, true, I'm sure
- 5:02Speaker 5: I did.
- 5:03Speaker 2: You didn't let them know you were with us?
- 5:05Speaker 5: Right, No, I am. They got photographs of us together. Shirts.
- 5:12Speaker 7: No, it was good double the LSU shirts coming out
- 5:15Speaker 7: this show oh nice.
- 5:17Speaker 9: They take more modeling pictures.
- 5:20Speaker 5: I mean we basically sold them out the entire year.
- 5:22Speaker 5: They were the only school that was sold out the
- 5:24Speaker 5: entire time. So, like you know, once a male model,
- 5:27Speaker 5: always a male model.
- 5:29Speaker 10: Remember, like y'all are big enough. They come here, like
- 5:31Speaker 10: literally they come here, so.
- 5:33Speaker 5: To the studio right here.
- 5:36Speaker 8: Did y'all do any like white water rafting or like
- 5:39Speaker 8: canoeing or anything.
- 5:40Speaker 1: No.
- 5:40Speaker 7: Well, so it's a float river. So you go up
- 5:42Speaker 7: the So it's a you get in. You have like
- 5:46Speaker 7: your fishing guide and you get into the water on
- 5:48Speaker 7: a boat and he basically paddles you around and you drift.
- 5:53Speaker 7: So you drift down the river for like each day.
- 5:55Speaker 7: It was probably like fifteen sixteen miles like down.
- 5:58Speaker 2: The river basically.
- 6:00Speaker 6: No, it's it's eight hours on the boat.
- 6:01Speaker 5: Yeah, sure, you pull over to the side. How did
- 6:04Speaker 5: you tell me do?
- 6:05Speaker 6: Oh? My time is great.
- 6:06Speaker 5: I mean okay, it's only like if I go offshore. Yeah, okay,
- 6:09Speaker 5: you look, I've seen you in the backseat of a car.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Yeah, no doubt, I see people.
- 6:14Speaker 5: I'm not going shade. I'm not too far behind you
- 6:16Speaker 5: in that.
- 6:18Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:18Speaker 5: So they they have like like this this river is incredible.
- 6:21Speaker 7: It's been and it's a big river there.
- 6:25Speaker 5: The water was moving really fast because they were at
- 6:27Speaker 5: leasing a lot of water from the dam.
- 6:28Speaker 7: And I'll be damn, I'll be damn. And I was like,
- 6:32Speaker 7: can I get some damn bait? And yeah, there's like
- 6:37Speaker 7: five to six thousand trout every mile of river.
- 6:40Speaker 8: That's crazy, okay, Idaho. I was not familiar with your game.
- 6:46Speaker 6: It was Yeah, it was beautiful.
- 6:48Speaker 7: We saw elk We saw all the eagles flying around
- 6:51Speaker 7: with trouting there.
- 6:52Speaker 9: Oka pulled off the picture. You get the name of
- 6:54Speaker 9: the place, Snake River, South Fork Lodge.
- 6:58Speaker 5: You show them how you can make the same exact
- 7:01Speaker 5: sound as an eagle. Oh yeah, for sure, obviously I
- 7:05Speaker 5: did that. Yeah, I mean it is the whole time.
- 7:08Speaker 5: It is my highest kind of brand. I mean it's
- 7:10Speaker 5: an eagle in the box. I actually I had like
- 7:13Speaker 5: a big package of my hid to bring. You didn't
- 7:16Speaker 5: forget right in the car. Yeah, that's on me.
- 7:23Speaker 2: You did not take your own ABC advice.
- 7:27Speaker 5: Hey, I was closing the front of some pretty you know,
- 7:33Speaker 5: notable people and it's like the perfect trip to bring
- 7:38Speaker 5: your product and you forgot it in the car.
- 7:42Speaker 6: Yep.
- 7:43Speaker 7: Matthew mm hmm. It wasn't my best move. What my
- 7:51Speaker 7: best move, but we were ABC and always be closing.
- 7:55Speaker 7: We they packed a little lunch for us. We have
- 7:57Speaker 7: lunch on the boat. First they looked at in.
- 8:00Speaker 5: Like my high competitive product costco in there? Did you?
- 8:08Speaker 6: So we talked.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Yeah, you were like, hey, Bud, this is not gonna.
- 8:11Speaker 6: Oh there she is. Yeah, that's right there.
- 8:13Speaker 2: This is not gonna lie.
- 8:16Speaker 6: Anything like that.
- 8:16Speaker 5: Really, So if they if they do it again next year,
- 8:20Speaker 5: I'm coming. But I did, like I did get to
- 8:26Speaker 5: get a have a core memory with Memphis.
- 8:28Speaker 6: The first pitch, Yeah, so I did see. I did
- 8:32Speaker 6: see the clips. Did it looked that was fun. It
- 8:34Speaker 6: looked like you'll crushed it. It was fun.
- 8:36Speaker 5: That's fun. That look's great though, looks great. Shout to Poncho.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Y'all both made core memories.
- 8:41Speaker 5: We did we did ye.
- 8:43Speaker 7: We absolutely did rush the first pitch. Yeah, into his
- 8:46Speaker 7: first fly fishing. I bet he loved the snow too though.
- 8:50Speaker 5: Yeah, it wasn't like it but it wasn't get dumped right.
- 8:53Speaker 5: But we're in Louisiana. Yeah, you're kind of like floating
- 8:56Speaker 5: around this if a snow flake hitching the forehead and
- 8:59Speaker 5: may you can be pretty damn excited. And if you
- 9:01Speaker 5: would have been here this weekend, I don't know where
- 9:03Speaker 5: y'all were. In Zachary, America. It was hot in Zachary America,
- 9:09Speaker 5: it was real hot. So I would have taken a
- 9:13Speaker 5: snowflake on the forehead. I would have been okay with that.
- 9:16Speaker 5: That would have been enough snow for me.
- 9:18Speaker 2: So is this river also an organ or is it I.
- 9:21Speaker 6: Don't know where. It's huge. I don't know.
- 9:24Speaker 5: It's huge, so probably so, I don't know.
- 9:28Speaker 9: The hawk already wants to go back, doesn't he?
- 9:31Speaker 6: Oh yeah, I'm sure he does.
- 9:33Speaker 10: Like we went to we went to Yellowstone, like Victoria's like,
- 9:36Speaker 10: which which ain't far from where you were. It's a
- 9:38Speaker 10: few hours and uh, she like already wants to go back.
- 9:41Speaker 6: Oh yeah, yeah, it was.
- 9:43Speaker 7: It was one of the like Now, look, he had
- 9:45Speaker 7: a great time fishing to two straight days at eight
- 9:49Speaker 7: hours floating down the it's a long time age, yeah, right.
- 9:52Speaker 6: But he did good.
- 9:52Speaker 7: It was like, hey, fish for a little while and
- 9:55Speaker 7: then sit and chill and just look at the scenery,
- 9:57Speaker 7: like you're in the middle of the valley with like
- 9:59Speaker 7: mountain around you.
- 10:00Speaker 6: It was it was a good scenery.
- 10:02Speaker 8: One mouth of the river is in Washington, and it
- 10:05Speaker 8: does kind of go like the border of Oregon in
- 10:07Speaker 8: Idaho and it goes into Wyoming like the other head.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Of it in Wyoming.
- 10:17Speaker 5: Really for you forgot that my eye? Man, that's crazy,
- 10:21Speaker 5: but I had. I had my hat on the whole time.
- 10:24Speaker 5: I said, just kind of a new one. I mean
- 10:27Speaker 5: typically like you know, you got one that's been through
- 10:29Speaker 5: the fire. This is that's kind of this is kind
- 10:32Speaker 5: of real white and wow that a little dirt. This
- 10:34Speaker 5: is the one has a little point on it. Yeah,
- 10:38Speaker 5: I hadn't seen mine that shows up like that that
- 10:41Speaker 5: I you know, wear for free and give you free advertising.
- 10:44Speaker 5: Thank you, Hey, but uh, I appreciate y'all allowing me.
- 10:50Speaker 7: To get Yeah, opened Marley yesterday, b our that's on me,
- 10:53Speaker 7: Like I kind of felt bad for y'all because I've
- 10:55Speaker 7: had to do that. Yeah, that's done it twice. I
- 10:58Speaker 7: had to do it for a full three hours one time.
- 11:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Now that this man teased something then forgot what he
- 11:05Speaker 2: teased been.
- 11:07Speaker 5: There and not just yeah you but you'll do it
- 11:09Speaker 5: like oh yeah, I wanted to hit and like, hey,
- 11:10Speaker 5: let's save it. This man said big announcement announcement fire
- 11:14Speaker 5: caps on Twitter, and then forgot what the big announcement
- 11:17Speaker 5: was and then tried to lie and like bring something
- 11:22Speaker 5: back up two segments later, and it wasn't what he
- 11:25Speaker 5: actually was thinking of. He was like, that was a lie.
- 11:27Speaker 2: It was like, it's Hoover. I'm going to Hoover, and
- 11:30Speaker 2: then it ended up being something else.
- 11:32Speaker 6: Yeah, should we text him and like see if you remembered.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Remembering?
- 11:36Speaker 5: But he texted him in like two and a half
- 11:37Speaker 5: hours or so.
- 11:38Speaker 6: When he's up, Yeah, I mean it is early.
- 11:43Speaker 5: Would you be up if if you weren't.
- 11:45Speaker 6: Here, I'll tell you what.
- 11:47Speaker 5: On the weekends, I sleep to about seven, so you'd
- 11:50Speaker 5: be up at seven to twelve. Yeah.
- 11:52Speaker 6: Now, I've been known to sleep to eight every now
- 11:55Speaker 6: and then.
- 11:59Speaker 9: I have a late night.
- 12:00Speaker 7: I ain't afraid to sleep till late. Every once in
- 12:02Speaker 7: a while on this Saturday or something. In college, noon
- 12:05Speaker 7: hated to see us.
- 12:06Speaker 6: Oh my gosh, what what times? Your class? Eleven thirty?
- 12:10Speaker 6: Oh got the early one.
- 12:13Speaker 2: You got an early class, early class. That's how I
- 12:15Speaker 2: used to be. I used to be like a nude
- 12:17Speaker 2: riser back in the day.
- 12:20Speaker 5: No, when I when I had gotten to a point
- 12:22Speaker 5: where I had already like taken all, like pretty much
- 12:26Speaker 5: all my courses that I needed to, you know, so
- 12:28Speaker 5: basically summer workouts. I took one class my senior like
- 12:32Speaker 5: going into my senior So I was married. So yeah,
- 12:36Speaker 5: we were sleeping late. I'd wake up just to go
- 12:39Speaker 5: hear Maffiat yell at me.
- 12:41Speaker 6: We go get yelled at real quick Earley.
- 12:44Speaker 5: Burget is worm, Why are you in fland strolling in
- 12:47Speaker 5: here at two o'clock in the afternoon.
- 12:49Speaker 6: He at least you had an old pot with you
- 12:51Speaker 6: getting yelled and did.
- 12:53Speaker 5: It's like, hey, Tommy, you shouldn't have the two o'clock
- 12:56Speaker 5: group if you don't want to be here at two o'clock.
- 12:58Speaker 5: He loved that four. It was four. I was trying
- 13:02Speaker 5: to make it sound better for the people.
- 13:04Speaker 7: Still puffy eyes, sleep in our eyes.
- 13:09Speaker 5: You got boogies in your eyes? Sorry, sorry coach. College
- 13:14Speaker 5: kids trying to have some fun make core memories out there. Yeah,
- 13:17Speaker 5: team building exercises, do you remember? Honestly though, like and
- 13:21Speaker 5: y'all know, Coach Mavis our boy, he really wouldn't get
- 13:25Speaker 5: too mad at us, Like he would give us a
- 13:26Speaker 5: hard time because we were captains on the team, YadA YadA, whatever.
- 13:32Speaker 5: But we drug Rick Richard Dixon with us often and
- 13:36Speaker 5: he would get the brunt of it. Oh yeah, he's
- 13:39Speaker 5: with us, younger guy, but he was younger, so he
- 13:41Speaker 5: would get the brunt of showing up to the four
- 13:44Speaker 5: o'clock group. Yeah, a lot of people tried to copy us,
- 13:47Speaker 5: try to go late. They hadn't earned it, though they
- 13:50Speaker 5: had earned that at four pm. No, and it's actually dumber.
- 13:55Speaker 5: It was hotter in hell.
- 14:00Speaker 7: I mean, you could make the argument that we don't
- 14:01Speaker 7: win in a seven if we would have gone in
- 14:04Speaker 7: the morning group.
- 14:05Speaker 5: We won a lot of games late, won a lot
- 14:07Speaker 5: of games late, not early.
- 14:10Speaker 7: So thanks to us, those other teams weren't working at
- 14:16Speaker 7: at four pm.
- 14:17Speaker 6: You think t Bo's showing up at four pm working
- 14:19Speaker 6: in that heat? No, I don't think so.
- 14:21Speaker 5: No, Tim.
- 14:22Speaker 7: Tim was probably having dinner before we went to bed. Hey,
- 14:24Speaker 7: he's going at seven am with the other cowards. Yeah,
- 14:28Speaker 7: urli Berg is a worm. Who's gonna get full on

- 17:30Speaker 8: Yes, it was so bad yesterday. I am still a
- 17:33Speaker 8: little sore. It's a lot more mobility than I had yesterday, though,
- 17:37Speaker 8: but I'm still getting that like sharp stabbing pain in
- 17:40Speaker 8: my shoulder blades.
- 17:41Speaker 2: So I went to go get dry needled yesterday.
- 17:45Speaker 6: Oh there you go.
- 17:46Speaker 8: So I went to Marci at Midline. She's literally like
- 17:51Speaker 8: I started doing dry needling and it literally changed my life.
- 17:53Speaker 8: Like it's crazy the cheat, Yeah, it really is. And
- 17:56Speaker 8: like instead of I so y'all know that I love
- 18:00Speaker 8: were it all on steroid shot? Like if something like
- 18:02Speaker 8: if something is wrong with me, I'm going to go
- 18:04Speaker 8: get a steroid shot or a tore it all shot.
- 18:06Speaker 2: And I'm trying to like not do that all the time.
- 18:10Speaker 8: You do steroids, steroids, I'd be roiding. That's why I'm
- 18:14Speaker 8: angry all the time.
- 18:17Speaker 5: But I think that's more just our first outity.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:20Speaker 2: No, it turns out I'm just in a bad mood
- 18:21Speaker 2: twenty four to seven. But yeah, so I went to
- 18:25Speaker 2: go get dry needled yesterday and she was.
- 18:27Speaker 5: Like, huh seven when you're in here.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, true. Sometimes I don't know, y'all, y'all be
- 18:34Speaker 2: killing me sometimes.
- 18:35Speaker 8: But I went and I got scraped, and when she
- 18:38Speaker 8: was scraping, the only time I felt relief in my
- 18:40Speaker 8: neck yesterday is when she was like pulling on it, like,
- 18:43Speaker 8: you know, like taking the tension out of it.
- 18:45Speaker 10: So it's like, oh man, but uh, like the scrape
- 18:50Speaker 10: pro it something soothing, It's like, it's.
- 18:53Speaker 8: Actually not soothing if it's like if you're super sore,
- 18:56Speaker 8: like if it's really tender, it's not great.
- 18:58Speaker 5: No, if it's really like like her so good type situation.
- 19:01Speaker 8: It was borderline making me laugh because it was tickling me.
- 19:04Speaker 8: That's how much it was sore.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Okay, but we got a little more movement in the
- 19:09Speaker 2: neck today.
- 19:09Speaker 9: So scraping sounds awful just the name. I think of
- 19:13Speaker 9: like a scalpel.
- 19:15Speaker 2: One time she scraped my shin splints, I was on
- 19:19Speaker 2: the verge of tears.
- 19:22Speaker 5: Yeah, I was thinking more like the back neck area,
- 19:26Speaker 5: Like it's so scraping is like this, it's a tool. Yeah,
- 19:29Speaker 5: and you typically you'll put like, I don't know, we
- 19:31Speaker 5: should do cocoa butter. I think something like that, and
- 19:35Speaker 5: they just get the tool and they you know, dig
- 19:37Speaker 5: in and they try to like any nods or anything
- 19:38Speaker 5: you had.
- 19:39Speaker 9: Looks like a h it's like the uh well Baker's
- 19:43Speaker 9: rolling pin.
- 19:44Speaker 5: No, it looks more like literally looks like a scraper.
- 19:47Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, we had we had one in high school
- 19:48Speaker 9: that looked like Yeah.
- 19:49Speaker 5: This one though, like is like the one that just
- 19:51Speaker 5: talking about.
- 19:52Speaker 2: It's more like a curved like uh yeah, it's a device.
- 19:55Speaker 5: Like a half circle basically.
- 19:57Speaker 6: Ye oh cool.
- 19:58Speaker 9: Yeah sounds comforting.
- 20:00Speaker 8: No, I went to go get tortured yesterday, Like I
- 20:02Speaker 8: literally got scraped. She did the cups on me and
- 20:04Speaker 8: then she put needles in my neck, so.
- 20:06Speaker 9: You chained up at change. That's cool, That makes it
- 20:11Speaker 9: a little better.
- 20:12Speaker 8: Yeah, that's what physical therapy is, is just straight torture. Yeah,
- 20:16Speaker 8: but you feel so much better after laundre. Just stick
- 20:18Speaker 8: your hands and feet in this lock box so you
- 20:20Speaker 8: can't move.
- 20:24Speaker 5: Like she would have done anything. I think yesterday was
- 20:26Speaker 5: how we left, But you are feeling better.
- 20:29Speaker 6: You said, wait, you said it was you were lifting.
- 20:31Speaker 8: I think it happened when I was re racking what
- 20:33Speaker 8: I was lifting. Yeah, I don't think it happened like
- 20:36Speaker 8: on the actual movement even lift bro. But I also
- 20:41Speaker 8: think that I just like moved the right way, like
- 20:44Speaker 8: it was like a movement thing, not a weight thing.
- 20:47Speaker 2: I feel like.
- 20:50Speaker 6: Heye been there.
- 20:53Speaker 5: Hell, I'm tired and sword just from sitting and coaching
- 20:55Speaker 5: baseball in the sun for three days. The age i'm at,
- 21:01Speaker 5: I'm though.
- 21:03Speaker 6: Okay, pretty good. Any suicide squeezes, uh no, never mind, lame.
- 21:10Speaker 2: Why aren't these nine year olds out here doing suicide squeeze?
- 21:14Speaker 5: If Matt ever coaches baseball, he's going to be Long
- 21:17Speaker 5: Beach State, the dirt bags. They're gonna play small ball.
- 21:21Speaker 5: Let their button, everybody, Let up runner get on first.
- 21:24Speaker 5: He's getting moved over to second. I don't butt guys over.
- 21:27Speaker 5: We don't sacrifice. Lame.
- 21:29Speaker 7: Oh, you just only did suicide. That's it, gotcha, no doubt.
- 21:35Speaker 7: Let somebody get on third base.
- 21:37Speaker 5: If you can find it. If you can find a
- 21:39Speaker 5: nine year I want you to do that. You can
- 21:41Speaker 5: find a nine year old dad you feel is going
- 21:44Speaker 5: to get that bunt down on that squeeze fla.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Just catch the ball with the bat.
- 21:49Speaker 6: You've done it. I don't have steals in our league.
- 21:54Speaker 5: Lame no steals like not even like once it hits
- 21:58Speaker 5: the ground like close bait.
- 22:00Speaker 1: No.
- 22:03Speaker 5: All right, so I can't do it yet soon yeah
- 22:08Speaker 5: the next season, next season.
- 22:10Speaker 9: Next season, steals are on.
- 22:11Speaker 6: Steals are so on squeezes.
- 22:15Speaker 5: You know, it's really hard not to do. And there's
- 22:18Speaker 5: a lot of people I think that have coached nine
- 22:19Speaker 5: you tend you that are gonna not want to verbalize it.
- 22:23Speaker 6: They're gonna agree with.
- 22:24Speaker 5: Me when you're playing a team and the kids clearly
- 22:27Speaker 5: balking and you're like, you can't do that, but I
- 22:33Speaker 5: don't want to be a bad it's nine.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Yeah, you're not gonna title on.
- 22:37Speaker 9: An on the mound be like, hey idiot, we're balking.
- 22:41Speaker 5: But it's like you can do that.
- 22:43Speaker 2: You can't do it, not the rules, you're just not
- 22:46Speaker 2: allowed to balk.
- 22:47Speaker 5: Well, I mean, because you're gonna.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Have I mean, I feel like you should teach kids
- 22:51Speaker 2: what the rules are.
- 22:53Speaker 5: I liked it a lot of them, a lot of
- 22:55Speaker 5: the good umpires. And we have some goobins this weekend.
- 22:58Speaker 5: They were the box, well give you a warning, which
- 23:01Speaker 5: I like, yeah, you're not calling it, but you're also
- 23:05Speaker 5: bringing attention to it, like, hey, you can't can't fully
- 23:08Speaker 5: turn your shoulders once you come set. It's good teaches them. Yeah,
- 23:11Speaker 5: you're not immediately balking. So when you say open bases,
- 23:14Speaker 5: that's like you got leadoffs. Yeah, leadoffs steals. If it's
- 23:17Speaker 5: close based, then the ball has to be on the
- 23:19Speaker 5: ground for you to steal.
- 23:20Speaker 6: I think it's pretty young for leadoffs.
- 23:24Speaker 5: That's what's the first year that we could do it.
- 23:26Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I feel like it's pretty young.
- 23:30Speaker 5: It's considered miss there's some like we'll play some ten
- 23:34Speaker 5: new tournaments, so like a year up that have been
- 23:36Speaker 5: doing it, and you can just tell like the huge
- 23:38Speaker 5: difference in you know, teams that have been doing it
- 23:41Speaker 5: for a year compared to when you're just doing it.
- 23:43Speaker 5: So make's playing catcher real important. Pass you better be
- 23:51Speaker 5: a wall back there.
- 23:52Speaker 7: Yeah yeah, that's what I'm That's what I'm trying to
- 23:56Speaker 7: think because this is our first year of kids pitch
- 23:58Speaker 7: this year, and uh yeah, I mean if it would
- 24:03Speaker 7: have been if you could take off and steal even
- 24:08Speaker 7: with the ball, like once the ball is the ground, Yeah,
- 24:10Speaker 7: it would have been like Max Olum runs every inning. Yeah, probably,
- 24:14Speaker 7: It's just it's a tough thing to do if you
- 24:16Speaker 7: never like, are you are you still playing seven runs
- 24:18Speaker 7: per inning?
- 24:19Speaker 6: Max? Yeah?
- 24:20Speaker 5: Yeah, that goes way too well.
- 24:22Speaker 6: Yeah, for sure, it'll be up there.
- 24:25Speaker 5: Like how long we've been out there?
- 24:27Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 24:28Speaker 10: Yeah, it's been an hour and a half inning, goes
- 24:31Speaker 10: can we can we get out of this?
- 24:34Speaker 5: Luckily we hadn't had any of you know, any of
- 24:35Speaker 5: those for us or against us, but baseball, all the
- 24:40Speaker 5: rules of a ball.
- 24:44Speaker 2: I feel like I'm pretty like I don't think anybody does.
- 24:46Speaker 7: Yeah, as a judgment caused some point, yea, at some
- 24:49Speaker 7: point it though, yeah, everybody else.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Yeah, define bo. I mean, it's kind of this, It's
- 24:58Speaker 2: kind of this.
- 24:58Speaker 5: It's kind of that, like the little bit when you
- 25:01Speaker 5: get nine US you come set, like you can look over,
- 25:04Speaker 5: you know, you can look over, but you can't turn
- 25:07Speaker 5: over to look. You can't move your front shoulder, like
- 25:10Speaker 5: you can't be set and then look over to first
- 25:13Speaker 5: at the ball. And that's the one you see most commonly,
- 25:16Speaker 5: like in nine U ten U is buck spelled.
- 25:19Speaker 6: With the you or not b a l K b
- 25:27Speaker 6: A LK.
- 25:28Speaker 9: It's a belt that's like chalk will be.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Yeah, oh Chris just heard belk and instead.
- 25:35Speaker 5: Of ball bat signal, he woke up my belk. You know,
- 25:41Speaker 5: Belk was a store still. Apparently Molly just goes and
- 25:45Speaker 5: walks around.
- 25:46Speaker 6: You gone. In my head, I would have definitely said
- 25:49Speaker 6: b a U l K.
- 25:50Speaker 7: Really you don't know, well, I just don't know. I
- 25:55Speaker 7: don't know if that is how you pronounce it in
- 25:57Speaker 7: the English language fanatically.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Okay, I think everybody has it wrong and you're right.
- 26:02Speaker 5: That first Yeah, I've been there the first time. All right,
- 26:14Speaker 5: feel better about knowing what it is now? How is
- 26:18Speaker 5: spelled about some of the different things. I mean, I
- 26:21Speaker 5: know what a boss you gotta comes to that. And
- 26:23Speaker 5: if you don't know, I mean, that was a pretty
- 26:24Speaker 5: dominant picture back in the day. So strike them all out.
- 26:32Speaker 5: If you struck them all out, then you didn't have
- 26:34Speaker 5: to worry about coming sick because you're in the wind up.
- 26:36Speaker 2: I know.
- 26:36Speaker 9: Okay, it's not a bad strategy on your part. Strike
- 26:39Speaker 9: everybody out.
- 26:40Speaker 5: A couple of perfect games, not a big deal any
- 26:47Speaker 5: where we can verify that. Yeah, there was a h
- 26:53Speaker 5: Absolutely Matt has a uh the name Trooper Taylor. Yeah,
- 26:58Speaker 5: he's coach at running back of coach Baylor. He was
- 27:01Speaker 5: actually in town for it. Told me if I through
- 27:03Speaker 5: Perfect Game. He give me fifty bucks? Did he through
- 27:06Speaker 5: perfect Game?
- 27:06Speaker 6: You know?
- 27:06Speaker 5: Trueper Taylor, he gave me fifty bucks. He didn't give
- 27:09Speaker 5: me fifty Oh you didn't until I was a junior
- 27:13Speaker 5: in high school and he was recruiting for two lane.
- 27:15Speaker 5: Oh no, he came back, he's like, oh, you fifty bucks.
- 27:18Speaker 6: I was like, I don't know.
- 27:19Speaker 5: That's kind of illegal right now, Bud can't pay me. Yeah,
- 27:22Speaker 5: but he made you the bet before. He made me
- 27:24Speaker 5: the bet before you were in high school. So before
- 27:26Speaker 5: because he was he was uh, he was friends with
- 27:28Speaker 5: my dad.
- 27:29Speaker 7: My dad was real involved with like the Baylor alumni. Yeah,
- 27:32Speaker 7: back in the day. Yeah, he came to my little
- 27:33Speaker 7: league baseball game.
- 27:34Speaker 5: Shout out. All right, that's good enough for me. We'll
- 27:39Speaker 5: take a break, Taylor. When we come back, we'll get

- 31:03Speaker 5: All Right, the New Orleans Pelicans, as we mentioned right
- 31:07Speaker 5: the end of yesterday's show, happened right at the very end.
- 31:11Speaker 5: Actually got to talk about it for a little bit. Yeah,
- 31:13Speaker 5: that's crazy, right, Matt. Pelicans hired a new head coach,
- 31:17Speaker 5: Jamal Moseley.
- 31:18Speaker 6: Okay, all right, made.
- 31:20Speaker 5: The playoffs the last three years, but just got fired
- 31:22Speaker 5: by Orlando. His record in Orlando was one eighty nine
- 31:26Speaker 5: and two twenty one, so forty six percent win percentage.
- 31:30Speaker 5: But obviously over the last couple of years and Orlando
- 31:33Speaker 5: was a complete rebuild, had some good times there for
- 31:38Speaker 5: the Magic and they I mean they had the Pistons
- 31:41Speaker 5: and just choked it away in the playoffs, but certainly
- 31:46Speaker 5: did a really nice shot with some young players there
- 31:48Speaker 5: in Orlando. And this happened quickly. Once he got fired
- 31:52Speaker 5: by the Magic, he quickly became to the front of
- 31:55Speaker 5: the line of options for the New Orleans Pelicans, and
- 31:59Speaker 5: we heard a lot of other names, but at the
- 32:01Speaker 5: end of the day, they go with Moseley, who again
- 32:04Speaker 5: they didn't think was going to be available. He becomes
- 32:06Speaker 5: available and you quickly make the move there and Tatay,
- 32:11Speaker 5: I saw you know what you put in the doc,
- 32:14Speaker 5: and I agree, Like I've seen a lot of different
- 32:16Speaker 5: opinions on the move, and a lot of people wanted
- 32:18Speaker 5: Rondo to be the coach because they wanted something new.
- 32:22Speaker 5: A lot of people like this move because of what
- 32:23Speaker 5: he's done in Orlando with a young basketball team, developed
- 32:26Speaker 5: that basketball team. But those same you know, people that
- 32:30Speaker 5: get mad are the ones because they're tired of developing.
- 32:34Speaker 5: They want to be developed already. But it is a
- 32:37Speaker 5: guy that does have playoff experience in the last couple
- 32:40Speaker 5: of seasons, taking his team to that point and also
- 32:44Speaker 5: pushing the number one seed to the break.
- 32:46Speaker 9: Yeah, you know, I was a our guy. Resident Pelicans fandom.
- 32:51Speaker 10: Jordan the Kitchens, we were talking about this a little
- 32:53Speaker 10: bit yesterday and he didn't like the He didn't like
- 32:55Speaker 10: the higher He's like, totally, it's a boring pick. I'm like,
- 32:57Speaker 10: I understand that, but sometimes boring's what you need, Like
- 33:01Speaker 10: this is not one of those retreads that has never
- 33:04Speaker 10: done anything like Darvin Ham. Hiring Darvin Ham would have
- 33:08Speaker 10: been a typical Pelicans move. Yes, Rajon Rondo's exciting. I
- 33:12Speaker 10: always cautioned for a guy who's never been a head
- 33:15Speaker 10: coach on any level, but Rondo was kind of like
- 33:17Speaker 10: a coach on the court, so like I could maybe
- 33:19Speaker 10: make an exception for that. He would have been exciting.
- 33:21Speaker 10: He's a younger guy, would have been able to relate
- 33:23Speaker 10: to the players. But look at what what Mosley did, Like,
- 33:27Speaker 10: yes one eighty nine to twenty one. He went from
- 33:30Speaker 10: twenty two wins his first year when they were abysmal,
- 33:33Speaker 10: jumped to thirty four wins, so a twelve win jump there.
- 33:37Speaker 10: Then he never won less than forty games the rest
- 33:40Speaker 10: of his time in Orlando. And you can say, oh,
- 33:43Speaker 10: he blew a three to one lead. I've seen so
- 33:45Speaker 10: many people say that they should have had a three
- 33:46Speaker 10: to one lead in the first place. His team overachieved
- 33:48Speaker 10: with him. I don't think Orlando has a great roster
- 33:51Speaker 10: like Pelo Baccaro is a good player. Like they got
- 33:53Speaker 10: they got some nice young pieces, but that's not a
- 33:55Speaker 10: top ten to fifteen roster in the NBA, at least
- 33:58Speaker 10: that in my opinion. Like, I'm okay with this because
- 34:01Speaker 10: you got a lot of young pieces that, look, let's
- 34:04Speaker 10: be honest, maybe need a year or two to develop.
- 34:06Speaker 9: That's exactly what he did in Orlando.
- 34:09Speaker 10: It took him one to two years to kind of
- 34:11Speaker 10: get those young guys rolling play with a little bit
- 34:13Speaker 10: of confidence and then boom, you're in the playoffs three
- 34:15Speaker 10: years in a row. Like the Pelicans would kill to
- 34:18Speaker 10: be in the playoffs three years in a row. I
- 34:20Speaker 10: can't tell you the last time they've been in the
- 34:22Speaker 10: playoffs three years in a row. So like I'm holding
- 34:24Speaker 10: out hope, I'm okay with it. Like is it a
- 34:26Speaker 10: boring hier?
- 34:27Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 34:28Speaker 10: Maybe.
- 34:28Speaker 9: I mean he's a defensive coach. You know, he's a
- 34:30Speaker 9: guy that's been around. But sometimes that's exactly what you need.
- 34:33Speaker 10: And if I mean he can replicate what he did
- 34:34Speaker 10: in Orlando, why not a lot better than what you had.
- 34:38Speaker 5: Was an assistant for the Denver Nuggets for four seasons,
- 34:43Speaker 5: went to the Cleveland Cavaliers, for for the Mavericks for seven,
- 34:47Speaker 5: all these are as an assistant, and then he got
- 34:50Speaker 5: his first opportunity to be the head coach and there
- 34:53Speaker 5: for the Magic, and his first year he goes twenty
- 34:55Speaker 5: two and sixty. Then he goes thirty four and forty eight,
- 34:58Speaker 5: forty seven and thirty five, forty one and forty one,
- 35:01Speaker 5: and then forty five and thirty seven. So last three
- 35:04Speaker 5: years has had at least forty one wins. And so
- 35:07Speaker 5: as we're talking about it wasn't great the first two years.
- 35:09Speaker 5: That was a really bad team, a very young team,
- 35:12Speaker 5: and so you try to develop them there and then
- 35:14Speaker 5: you look, you make the playoffs three straight years, and
- 35:18Speaker 5: outside of I think it was a twenty four to
- 35:22Speaker 5: twenty five season where you just didn't really have a
- 35:24Speaker 5: lot of success, like you at least pushed to a
- 35:25Speaker 5: game seven in each of those years. So I actually
- 35:31Speaker 5: would prefer this over somebody that has no experience, that's
- 35:35Speaker 5: never done it before. This team doesn't really need that,
- 35:38Speaker 5: This team doesn't need somebody figuring everything out on the run.
- 35:44Speaker 5: I think they need some structure. They need somebody that's
- 35:47Speaker 5: developed some young players as well. So look, and I'm
- 35:50Speaker 5: not even trying to be funny here. I'm just glad
- 35:51Speaker 5: to have a head coach, and like, now you kind
- 35:53Speaker 5: of know the direction. At least it might be the
- 35:56Speaker 5: wrong direction, but at least you have a direction in
- 35:58Speaker 5: which to go, because they you know, they moved on
- 36:01Speaker 5: from Willie Green was earlier this season. I fired, probably
- 36:05Speaker 5: because he was up three games to one in the
- 36:08Speaker 5: series the one seed.
- 36:10Speaker 10: Yeah against the one three games to one doesn't happen
- 36:13Speaker 10: a lot like that was the Pistons, who were a
- 36:16Speaker 10: game away from making it to the conference finals. Like
- 36:19Speaker 10: that was a good team. So I thought it was
- 36:22Speaker 10: a mistake to fire, And I was a little surprised
- 36:23Speaker 10: when it happened, because again, I mean, he's he's gotten
- 36:26Speaker 10: better every year he's been there pretty much.
- 36:31Speaker 8: Wow.
- 36:32Speaker 7: Well, all I can say is this flock up. Yeah,
- 36:36Speaker 7: definitely flock up for sure. A lot of people might
- 36:40Speaker 7: be questioning this move. I didn't know what happened till
- 36:44Speaker 7: I walked in this morning, so uh, A lot of
- 36:46Speaker 7: people have a questioning this move. But if anybody's earned
- 36:50Speaker 7: the trust of the fans, it's the Pelicans, So trust
- 36:54Speaker 7: benefit of the doubt. They've earned the benefit of the
- 36:56Speaker 7: doubt guys, So just trust the process.
- 36:58Speaker 2: Guess what what broken the very last segment of OTV.
- 37:01Speaker 5: Like.
- 37:03Speaker 9: Like we were able to get off, We were able
- 37:05Speaker 9: to get it off.
- 37:05Speaker 1: But like.
- 37:07Speaker 8: When I tell you, one minute left in the segment,
- 37:10Speaker 8: I got a text and somebody would let me know.
- 37:12Speaker 2: So I looked it up real fast, and I was like, y'all,
- 37:15Speaker 2: we get to break news.
- 37:18Speaker 9: Pelicans mostly all right, gods, we'll see you tomorrow.
- 37:21Speaker 7: Basically, hey, they tried to hold out till they tried,
- 37:25Speaker 7: but it just he congrats.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, right, maybe because you weren't here.
- 37:29Speaker 10: So your point, dude, Jake, about you don't want to
- 37:32Speaker 10: hire a guy with zero head coaching experience. I saw
- 37:35Speaker 10: the name JJ Reddick thrown around all day yesterday saying, oh,
- 37:38Speaker 10: well it worked for JJ Reddick. JJ Reddick walked into
- 37:41Speaker 10: a situation with Lebron James, and like, I don't want
- 37:43Speaker 10: to take anything away from JJ, but he had a
- 37:45Speaker 10: guy that's been there, done that won four championships. The
- 37:48Speaker 10: Pelicans are young Repelicans don't have a guy like that,
- 37:51Speaker 10: Like you would bring in a rookie coach with a
- 37:53Speaker 10: lot of guys that have never had success in the NBA,
- 37:56Speaker 10: you'd have to rely on all of them to grow together.
- 37:58Speaker 5: I'm with you.
- 37:59Speaker 10: I probably prefer this, like if you had a Lebron,
- 38:02Speaker 10: if you had a Luca somebody like that. Sure, bring
- 38:05Speaker 10: in a first time coach, not on this roster.
- 38:08Speaker 6: That made me laugh. The state of the union for
- 38:10Speaker 6: the Pelicans.
- 38:10Speaker 7: You bringing a young coach with a lot of guys
- 38:12Speaker 7: that have had no success in the NBA. Yeah, it's
- 38:18Speaker 7: gonna be a good year. Repelicans have tried everything. Yeah,
- 38:22Speaker 7: Van Gundy, why not try the fired coach?
- 38:26Speaker 5: Yeah? Every NBA coach has been fired. Like it's the
- 38:29Speaker 5: weirdest league when it comes to he of course they have.
- 38:33Speaker 6: It is.
- 38:34Speaker 5: I just don't get it sometimes the way the NBA got.
- 38:38Speaker 8: Far the other day that I was like, oh no,
- 38:40Speaker 8: it was an NBA in never mind. I was thinking
- 38:42Speaker 8: of Alex Kuorra. That was a weird firing to me.
- 38:49Speaker 7: I think a lot of I think you'll you'll know
- 38:51Speaker 7: that like with sports that I I don't didn't typically
- 38:55Speaker 7: watch or follow prior to come, and I'm doing this
- 39:00Speaker 7: radio show very open minded. I want to be a fan, like,
- 39:06Speaker 7: help me become grow my fandom. I can say the
- 39:11Speaker 7: Pelicans didn't one that I really, you know, doesn't do
- 39:14Speaker 7: it for me. I don't know if I really I
- 39:18Speaker 7: don't know if I'm gonna get there unless really, really,
- 39:22Speaker 7: really good, and then I'll be a bandwagon guy.
- 39:25Speaker 5: Which is hard to say, a bandwagon guy. I'll be
- 39:28Speaker 5: a band wagon guy.
- 39:29Speaker 6: I guess.
- 39:31Speaker 2: Well, the Spurs bandwagons out there right now.
- 39:33Speaker 5: I just want a team that's worth talking about.
- 39:39Speaker 9: I want I want ten games left in the season.
- 39:42Speaker 9: You're in the playoffs.
- 39:43Speaker 5: Hunt when you bring their name up, everybody doesn't de breathe.
- 39:49Speaker 9: Everybody's like grown. I forgot that was the team.
- 39:55Speaker 5: So here's to that. Mm hm, flock up. Mike Brown
- 40:04Speaker 5: has coached ten different teams. It's a good call. Matthew
- 40:12Speaker 5: Mike Brown yep. Coach in the NBA yep. Oh yeah,
- 40:15Speaker 5: current coach of uh Utah Jazz Nope, Houston Rockets, nope,
- 40:26Speaker 5: Sacramento Kings.
- 40:29Speaker 7: He has been before. Yeah, I know, yeah, uh New
- 40:35Speaker 7: York Knicks. Wow, no one, No one knows that I did.
- 40:40Speaker 7: Are they still in up?
- 40:41Speaker 6: Yep?
- 40:42Speaker 5: They are playing the Caves in the Eastern Conference Final.
- 40:45Speaker 2: We're gonna have a O T B Finals.
- 40:47Speaker 6: Cool.
- 40:48Speaker 7: I knew they were in it. I keep seeing Timothy
- 40:52Speaker 7: Shaumee at the game. Ye, yep, I don't know why
- 40:56Speaker 7: that keeps. I keep seeing that. I'll try not to.
- 41:01Speaker 7: Let's try to scroll past it. Yeah, I keep getting it.
- 41:05Speaker 5: It feels like you've interacted with it enough to be
- 41:07Speaker 5: on your algorithm, sir. But I feel like everybody's posting it.
- 41:11Speaker 5: I got really.
- 41:12Speaker 2: Actually seen it seen a lot either.
- 41:15Speaker 6: It's weird.
- 41:18Speaker 8: I know he is a fan of the Knicks though,
- 41:20Speaker 8: because even last season he was. I saw, I did
- 41:22Speaker 8: see last season those pictures.
- 41:26Speaker 6: You do you that, man? I will keeping on brother
- 41:29Speaker 6: a single day.
