- 1:39SPEAKER_00: Horea.
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: Thank you, Jacqueline.
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: Thanks for the opportunity.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's my pleasure.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: So let's kind of like figure this out.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: How did you get into using LinkedIn so much and becoming an expert?
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: Well, I've been on a platform of over two decades.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: So I would say that since the inception, it was just part of my strategy to use for outreach.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: You know, it's an awesome social media platform.
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: And ever since uh Microsoft took over, uh, it's really expanded uh tremendously.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: I think there's over 900 million users or billion, I guess.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: It's pretty, pretty, you know, impressive, you would say, compared to other platforms.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: And it's all about businesses and reaching out to people who are, you know, my clientele, I would say.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: Entrepreneurs and people professionals.
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: And I'm excited to uh you know have a book that could help meld both AI and LinkedIn together.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: And that's the first of the kind.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: So I think that's uh rather unique.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: That is that is rather unique.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: And so, you know, obviously melding AI in with LinkedIn, you know, some people think AI just came out like last year, but it's actually been around quite a lot longer.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: So, how long have you been actually using AI?
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: Well, I would say for the past couple of years.
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: Um, and it's really developed uh since its inception.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: So, and the tools and the software has been incredible and changing.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: So I really embraced it and really made a difference in my outreach and my ability to create content that was incredible.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: And I'm really grateful to be uh uh, I would say, in this time period to take advantage of it, you might say.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: So do you have a favorite platform that you use for AI?
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: Well, there are several.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: What comes to mind, of course, is ChatGPT, as you know, which is a very popular platform.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: I also like to use Grammarly, a few others.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: I have a whole resources of my book talking about that.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: But I think that's a good starting point for most people is to kind of get familiar with it and and see how they're comfortable with um using this uh technology.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: It's true.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: So when you're thinking about like beginner or the novice, intermediate, advanced, is there one platform that you would say like if you've been using it that you're more advanced, like this is a better one, too, you know, or versus like ChatGPT, which I feel like everybody knows.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, well, there there are various platforms out there.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: I mean, I've been using ChatGPT, which is you know always changing and evolving, you know, which is fine.
- 4:18SPEAKER_01: It wasn't like what it was originally last year.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: So it really has become very competitive compared to the other types of platforms, you know, where you can create things like um images, you know, for products.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: I mean, that's incredible.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: You know, uh come up with a book jacket, you know, it's really something that has not been done before.
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: So I think it really is something worth uh considering, you know, as as a main mainstay.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: So, you know, being a LinkedIn expert and using it, you know, I'd love to hear, you know, you know, and I'm I know our listeners would love this, is that how do you how, you know, if you could give somebody like just five tips on using LinkedIn for leadership?
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: Very simple.
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: Um focus in on optimizing your profile.
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: Because the fact is that you don't get a second chance to make a first impression.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: And whoever you're gonna have any outreach, they're gonna look at your profile.
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: And if it's not optimized, I mean, you're really just gonna you're gonna fall flat.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: And using AI, it will help find, for example, keywords to use in your title that are SER optimized.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: Uh, so you can be found by people who may be interested in your services.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: Um, have a professional headshot taken that represents who you are, have it recent within the past six months, I think, is a good idea.
- 5:39SPEAKER_01: I would also focus in on the background as well, because it also conveys some of the things that you want to share with people who are you're connecting with.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: And um, so those just the top uh top things that come to mind right there.
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: A lot more, of course.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: But uh and and so as a leader, you know, you know, some people talk about you know being able to use it obviously beyond obviously just searching for a job and obviously they want to connect.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: But how do you help people use it with that that's not spammy?
- 6:20SPEAKER_01: Well, it it's again goes back to your profile itself, and that really is gonna make a difference.
- 6:25SPEAKER_01: I mean, if you're someone that you know has a profile that's you know contenting sales and marketing, sometimes that could also become, you know, it's what the person can expect if they're gonna connect with you.
- 6:37SPEAKER_01: You know, they're gonna be sold, they're gonna be pitch slapped, as they say.
- 6:41SPEAKER_01: And that's not you want you want you don't want to do that.
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 6:44SPEAKER_01: So you really have to really have a profile that really comes across as being an educator and a thought leader, which includes articles that you've written, includes any newsletters you've created, perhaps videos that are educational.
- 6:57SPEAKER_01: Should it be all part of your profile before you do any type of outreach?
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: Because that's gonna make a difference.
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: And if you do, once you've completed that and do decide to do outreach, I would recommend following the individuals that you want to connect with first, you know, and if they post, you'll be alerted when they're posting and reply to that post, you know, with some comments that give meaning to it.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 7:21SPEAKER_00: And I think that's actually a huge point, you know, is obviously commenting and giving meaning.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: You know, so I guess one of the things that I think I think a lot of people would love to know about too is the algorithm, basically, of you know, how it all works, really with LinkedIn.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: You know, we we all think about how the they're always changing, right?
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: So, what are your top 10 or top five things so you could save somebody to help them get the algorithms to work better for them?
- 7:51SPEAKER_01: Well, off the top of my mind uh comes video.
- 7:55SPEAKER_01: If you are posting videos, you are definitely getting some uh love from the algorithm.
- 8:00SPEAKER_01: And ideally the videos should be anywhere from 60 to 90 seconds.
- 8:04SPEAKER_01: And uh, if you create the videos and post on a regular basis, you'll find you get a lot more views, a lot more interest, and set yourself apart really from the competition, which is most of them are just doing text uh post.
- 8:17SPEAKER_01: So you really are making a difference if you do post videos.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: And sorry, so posting videos, what else?
- 8:26SPEAKER_01: Oh, well, uh follow influencers, for example.
- 8:29SPEAKER_01: And uh when you do do that, you'll be notified uh when they do post.
- 8:35SPEAKER_01: And then if you can reply to those uh influences within the first 10 or 15 minutes, depending how popular they are, and you post first, you'll most likely get the advantage of over of the people who are just responding to the post later on, but your post will be on the top, so people will see that first.
- 8:54SPEAKER_01: And the key thing is when you're posting, is that reply other than thanks for sharing.
- 8:59SPEAKER_01: You want to be a little more descriptive.
- 9:01SPEAKER_01: So a lot of times you can use AI technology to take advantage of the post, copy and paste a post into, let's say, Chat GPT, and come up with a favorable response that amplifies that influencer's uh message.
- 9:14SPEAKER_01: You know, that's really gonna make a difference.
- 9:15SPEAKER_01: You know, it's gonna be informative, maybe ask a question or two.
- 9:19SPEAKER_01: I mean, these are things that are gonna help get uh the algorithm to uh make that post possibly viral.
- 9:26SPEAKER_01: And what's even better is that the um influencer may decide to recognize you and say, well, I maybe I'll accept that invitation after all.
- 9:35SPEAKER_01: And that's something that's gonna make a difference.
- 9:38SPEAKER_00: So define to me what it means to be an influencer on LinkedIn.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: Like what's the characteristics?
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: Like how many followers, how many, you know, what's the number?
- 9:49SPEAKER_01: Well, um, obviously any number that has six digits in it, you're gonna find obviously to be impressive, to say the least.
- 9:58SPEAKER_01: And uh, or a million would be obviously ideal.
- 10:01SPEAKER_01: Uh examples of influencers, uh, you can look at um guy Kawasaki perhaps, and um uh Gary Venichek.
- 10:10SPEAKER_01: I mean, just examples.
- 10:11SPEAKER_01: Um these are individuals that have taken advantage of the platform and increased their amount of followers tremendously over the years.
- 10:22SPEAKER_01: So certainly when they do post, uh it gets noticed.
- 10:26SPEAKER_01: That's just an example of an influencer.
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: So you said you obviously have been using the um the platform for a long time.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: Have you done, you know, have you looked at other platforms that you know that are similar in business, or there there's I know there are a couple of them that and we just decided to stay on LinkedIn?
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: I just decided to stick to what I know best.
- 10:52SPEAKER_01: I mean, the fact is is that if you're gonna go business to business, there is no other platform out there, simply put, that has the range, the uh ability, the amount of people on there is just uh impressive.
- 11:04SPEAKER_01: Plus Microsoft.
- 11:05SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's you know, they're running the show.
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: It's uh it's a fairly large company, so they are really good at what they do and in creating in creating, you know, a platform that really uh does a great outreach.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: So it it does.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: It actually really does a great outreach.
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: So talk to me, how do you work with your clients?
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: And what, you know, what what do most people come to you for?
- 11:28SPEAKER_01: Well, first thing, a lot of them I do one-on-one uh optimize their profile.
- 11:33SPEAKER_01: We look for select keywords, we look for ideas to create newsletters, uh, to create content, uh, to establish themselves as a thought leader.
- 11:42SPEAKER_01: I really work hard on getting a profile optimized in a way that whoever decides to connect will accept a connection based on you know the information that's in the profile, because that really makes a difference.
- 11:54SPEAKER_01: And some people really take it for granted.
- 11:56SPEAKER_01: But, you know, just for example, if you're using uh the connect with someone and you have very few testimonials, if any at all, uh that really is really a difference.
- 12:06SPEAKER_01: Or if you do have it, it's over 10 years old.
- 12:08SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's not current, you know.
- 12:10SPEAKER_01: So people want to have current and um people that maybe they're familiar with and they can connect with someone that can vouch for you.
- 12:17SPEAKER_01: You know, it's a third-party endorsement, simply put, which is great.
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: Um, so that's the first thing I focus in on.
- 12:23SPEAKER_01: Once I've done that, then I'd look at strategies for outreach.
- 12:27SPEAKER_01: So we'll look at ideas for crediting newsletters, uh writing scripts or videos, for example.
- 12:33SPEAKER_01: Um, focus in on influencers and the best time to catch them when they post.
- 12:38SPEAKER_01: Those are examples whereby they can maximize their exposure and gain a lot of followers and tractions that way.
- 12:45SPEAKER_01: Just off the top.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: Um and so speaking of posting, is there a better time to post?
- 12:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, ideally I would say Tuesdays through Thursdays in the morning between eight and ten uh is a good time.
- 13:00SPEAKER_01: I believe Wednesday afternoon as well, 12 and 2 seems to be uh kind of a sweet spot for a lot of people.
- 13:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 13:07SPEAKER_01: And weekends not so much, more of a drop-off.
- 13:10SPEAKER_01: But those are kind of like ideal times to maximize exposure, I found.
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, interesting.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: You know what I find because I I do a newsletter on LinkedIn, um, and I usually send mine out Tuesday or Wednesday.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: Um, because I always feel like Monday, it's like everyone's getting flooded.
- 13:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 13:27SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 13:28SPEAKER_01: Everybody is getting flooded.
- 13:30SPEAKER_01: And I would say by Tuesday they're kind of getting settled in and getting a groove on.
- 13:34SPEAKER_01: So that's an optun time to reach out, and that really makes a difference.
- 13:38SPEAKER_01: I've seen, I've seen the uh the views have been incredible.
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: So talk to me a little bit about using, you know, because LinkedIn has some, you know, enhancements or advancements and things.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: And so one of those is obviously sales navigator.
- 13:51SPEAKER_00: So talk to me about like the pros and cons of like, you know, reaching out to people via sales navigator versus regular.
- 13:57SPEAKER_00: I, you know, I mean, as somebody who's been obviously on it for so long, I'm sure you could have some good tips about the two.
- 14:04SPEAKER_01: Well, um, obviously it's a paid premium uh version of that.
- 14:08SPEAKER_01: I believe it's about$100 a month.
- 14:11SPEAKER_01: So if you pay for the year, they give you discounts.
- 14:13SPEAKER_01: Um, one of the things I like about Sales Navigator is the ability to find out who's looked at your profile.
- 14:19SPEAKER_01: So that's certainly an advantage right there.
- 14:22SPEAKER_01: So it gives you the ability to reach out to that individual, not necessarily connect with them, but you know, send a message to them and say, What made you stop by my profile?
- 14:32SPEAKER_01: And or thanks for stopping by.
- 14:33SPEAKER_01: And sometimes it could be, you know, whatever reasons, you know, some you're a friend with someone or what have you, but it's a good way to kind of connect with someone.
- 14:40SPEAKER_01: And also what's great about uh Navigator is that it allows you to find out who has been on active who's been active on LinkedIn for at least past 30 days.
- 14:49SPEAKER_01: Because a lot of people, for example, are not active at all.
- 14:51SPEAKER_01: And when you do an outreach, sometimes you don't hear back from people for months, if at all.
- 14:56SPEAKER_01: And that also hurts you as well, because when you do an outreach and the person doesn't reply, the algorithm looks at it as a possible spammer.
- 15:04SPEAKER_01: So that also helps different.
- 15:07SPEAKER_01: In addition, for example, you have a um billboard on your profile, and uh with the sales navigator, it actually provides up to five billboards which rotate in the background.
- 15:19SPEAKER_01: So you can use that for different aspects of your business.
- 15:22SPEAKER_01: You know, you can focus on marketing, maybe another one could be on email, um, you know, optimization.
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: I mean, there are ways you can kind of like designate, like like a billboard, but it changes, which is great.
- 15:34SPEAKER_01: So it really makes it more professional looking.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: Someone just said to me the other day that you could actually now put a QR code.
- 15:43SPEAKER_01: Um, well, yeah, you can uh well you can create a QR code right now for your profile.
- 15:48SPEAKER_01: A lot of times when you do network events, for example, I wear a badge with my QR code on there.
- 15:55SPEAKER_01: So people, instead of giving a business card, just snap my QR code and goes right directly to the LinkedIn profile, which is great because it really gives you a lot more than just a business card.
- 16:05SPEAKER_01: It gives you uh certainly an advantage when connecting with someone, especially when they see your profile is professionally optimized.
- 16:12SPEAKER_01: You see you got recommendations, they see articles.
- 16:15SPEAKER_01: It really is a great feature.
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: Um, so talk to me a little bit about the book and what what got you started on writing it and well, very simple.
- 16:26SPEAKER_01: I looked out in the marketplace, I found that all the books on LinkedIn were either dated uh or really didn't address the issues of AI.
- 16:33SPEAKER_01: And I said, well, why don't I create a book that does both?
- 16:36SPEAKER_01: So that was the opportunity.
- 16:38SPEAKER_01: And I jumped at the chance.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: And I'm sure there'll be other books following this, but I'm the first first in, so which is great.
- 16:44SPEAKER_01: So taking advantage of it is was awesome.
- 16:46SPEAKER_01: And the fact is is that it's such a useful tool having AI technology available that it just really anyone who gets this will get so much value from that because there's nothing really available that really delves into both both types of platforms.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: So also being on the platforms for so long, you know, you probably have some like pet peeves on how people do how people quote unquote LinkedIn.
- 17:12SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, sure.
- 17:13SPEAKER_01: I mean, when people post, um they kind of treated like Facebook, for example.
- 17:17SPEAKER_01: They'll like showcase what they've eaten or what they talked about, you know, all this narcissistic posting, which is just ridiculous.
- 17:27SPEAKER_01: Or they're posting an ad, which is should be not really it should be an advertising like LinkedIn, but they're using their posting as an ad, and that's really not ideal for that platform itself.
- 17:39SPEAKER_01: So those are just the top that come to mind, right?
- 17:42SPEAKER_01: Right off the bat.
- 17:43SPEAKER_01: Then of course, when I see their profiles and I see how they haven't maybe filled it out or even bothered to do with it at all.
- 17:49SPEAKER_01: You know, so and anyone who reaches out to me, as soon as I receive that invite, I go immediately to the profile.
- 17:56SPEAKER_01: And if it's not, you know, it's not up to my standards, forget it.
- 18:00SPEAKER_01: I will not accept it.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 18:02SPEAKER_01: You gotta be selective.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: Right well, you do have to be selective, actually, because you know, I think that's one of the issues that I also see with LinkedIn and what you just said actually before also about what somebody what they have in their profile.
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: You know, if somebody says, you know, um, if their message is is um it's you know, if on their message it's or on their um underneath their on their profile page, it's very sales oriented.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: I'm like, oh, that's gonna be a sales pitch.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's gonna be a sales pitch.
- 18:33SPEAKER_00: And and I, and I usually like, nope, decline, nope, decline, nope, decline.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: And unless somebody actually reaches out to me authentically, but then I still look at their profile and I say, you know, this is just a slow introduction on a way for you to pitch me, versus really just trying to connect on an authentic level.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there might be some business happen, but get to know them.
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: Like there's a reason behind it.
- 18:57SPEAKER_01: A lot of times you can also send a message when you do reach out to someone, maybe a paragraph.
- 19:02SPEAKER_01: You can do up to 300 characters, I believe, and try to indicate as much as you can that you just want to do an outreach for such and such reasons.
- 19:11SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 19:11SPEAKER_01: You know, like one person sent me the other day that they're reaching out to me because they're asking me if I needed a housekeeper.
- 19:16SPEAKER_01: I mean, seriously?
- 19:18SPEAKER_01: Well, I mean, exactly.
- 19:20SPEAKER_01: They're a family business.
- 19:21SPEAKER_01: Wonder if you need a housekeeper.
- 19:23SPEAKER_01: Like, okay, block, you know, so this is just something that you do.
- 19:28SPEAKER_01: So when I do an outreach, um, if it's a second connection and usually they know some people that I know, sometimes I won't necessarily do that.
- 19:37SPEAKER_01: But if I'm, let's say, going after a potential podcaster, then I would reach out to them, indicate that, hey, you know, I've I've listened to your podcast and I'd love to be, you know, you know, a guest on your show, um, looking for the opportunity.
- 19:52SPEAKER_01: And, you know, just be honest about it.
- 19:53SPEAKER_01: And being authentic and sincere is something that's going to win people over.
- 19:57SPEAKER_01: I believe.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: No, that's and I think sincerity and is really important versus just trying to sell somebody something is really important.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: Is really it's really, really key.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: Um, if you're, you know, you know, one of the things that we really try to do here is try to help create people, help people create a greater impact.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: So, you know, thinking about LinkedIn and obviously creating that authority and being and having that voice.
- 20:27SPEAKER_00: Let's say somebody doesn't have like the recommendations.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: What are some of the ways that they can that they really could get that that true voice and off, you know, and authority out there?
- 20:37SPEAKER_01: Very simple.
- 20:38SPEAKER_01: Um, create the content that people want to read.
- 20:41SPEAKER_01: You know, create a newsletter.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: In fact, in LinkedIn, you could do up to five newsletters.
- 20:45SPEAKER_01: So take advantage of all five opportunities available and uh, you know, niche that area.
- 20:51SPEAKER_01: I I have a newsletters, for example, for financial planners, one for accountants, one for attorneys, even one for meeting planners, you know, and how to you know use LinkedIn more effectively.
- 21:01SPEAKER_01: And that seems to be very well received, you know, when I send it out.
- 21:05SPEAKER_01: So I think that's important to note is give value to whoever you're connecting with.
- 21:09SPEAKER_01: Uh sometimes, for example, I'll share an ebook that I created that just really helps them, let's say, optimize their profile.
- 21:15SPEAKER_01: In fact, on my website, linkedvantage.com, uh, those who listen uh can actually access a free ebook on profile optimization for LinkedIn.
- 21:24SPEAKER_01: So they can go ahead and do that.
- 21:26SPEAKER_01: And I think that's very helpful.
- 21:27SPEAKER_01: And and there is nothing salesy about, it's just information, education, you know, be a resource.
- 21:33SPEAKER_01: That's really what you want to do.
- 21:35SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 21:35SPEAKER_00: Be that resource for people, which is so important.
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: Um and so when you're thinking about creating that impact, also, you know, creating the content, how often should people be posting on LinkedIn?
- 21:50SPEAKER_01: Well, I would say a minimum of once a week.
- 21:52SPEAKER_01: I would say if you're doing newsletters, at least once a week.
- 21:55SPEAKER_01: You know, you don't want to be more than that, but it depends.
- 21:59SPEAKER_01: Uh I put And I also do videos three times a week.
- 22:03SPEAKER_01: So and I post that into groups that I'm associated with.
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: And groups are something that a lot of people don't really um think that is uh worthwhile, but I believe it is because there are a lot of groups that may have your clients, and sometimes people will accept your invitation because you're part of a group.
- 22:21SPEAKER_01: So more than more groups, they're really quite good.
- 22:23SPEAKER_01: And ideally go for the most sizable groups available that you can find.
- 22:27SPEAKER_01: You know, groups of at least uh five or ten thousand minimum.
- 22:32SPEAKER_01: Uh or a hundred thousand more would be a good starting point, I would say.
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: And so let's talk about it from the standpoint of a company.
- 22:42SPEAKER_00: You know, so a company has a profile out there.
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: Is it is it, you know, obviously they want to attract more people to their profile.
- 22:51SPEAKER_00: Um what are your what are your the top tips for a company to promote to get their page out there?
- 22:57SPEAKER_01: Well, again, they have a company page.
- 23:00SPEAKER_01: You would focus in on things that are of interest to people who may uh want to use their services.
- 23:07SPEAKER_01: Uh you can be examples of case studies.
- 23:10SPEAKER_01: Um, you can also create a newsletter as well.
- 23:14SPEAKER_01: Um the idea behind it is that you just want to share information that is kind of company related, not necessarily from a personal standpoint.
- 23:23SPEAKER_01: Uh, so it could be any type of um awards that were won or other things, attributes, uh volunteer work that they've done, which is always considered very favorable, I would say, uh work, which is always good.
- 23:38SPEAKER_01: So these are just types of things.
- 23:39SPEAKER_01: And again, they can also post once a week just to really kind of share information that's of value and and just focus on not really advertising the services, but be uh of service to people is what I've said.
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: So you you shared, you said you know, you do um your newsletter once a week and then you do videos three times a week.
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: Are you also doing static content?
- 24:02SPEAKER_01: Well, I find for the most part the algorithm likes videos and that really make a difference.
- 24:08SPEAKER_01: The static is mostly for the newsletters because you can't really put newsletters.
- 24:12SPEAKER_01: So that's the idea of you know to set yourself in the competition, create a video ideally between 60 to 90 seconds uh maximum.
- 24:21SPEAKER_01: All right, and just upload it to, let's say, for example, the groups that you're part of.
- 24:25SPEAKER_01: And you'll find you'll get a lot more traction that way.
- 24:27SPEAKER_01: Followers, people interested, and you'll develop thought leadership a lot quicker.
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: Interesting.
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: You know, I I find this completely fascinating.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: So, you know, so Al, uh so tell us where people can connect with you.
- 24:41SPEAKER_00: I will obviously put the link to your book um in the show notes, but what's the best way to people to connect with you?
- 24:47SPEAKER_00: Because I honestly, people, uh, you know, listeners, maximizing your profile on LinkedIn is huge.
- 24:55SPEAKER_00: I I cannot, I, I cannot stress this enough that it is absolutely so important.
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: And I share this because I know, you know, in one of our networking hubs, we were talking the other day, and I asked people to take a look at their LinkedIn profile, and some people have not updated it for years.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: And I'm just like, guys, you gotta be on this.
- 25:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 25:17SPEAKER_01: Well, that's that's what you come across, unfortunately.
- 25:20SPEAKER_01: And you know, you can lead a horse to water, you can't make them drink, and right it's really the issue.
- 25:25SPEAKER_01: So, but for those who want to make a difference, become a thought leader, you really got to start pretty much having your house in order.
- 25:32SPEAKER_01: And that's the first thing is optimize your profile.
- 25:34SPEAKER_01: So whoever you do an outreach is going to accept your connection.
- 25:38SPEAKER_01: And that really makes a difference.
- 25:39SPEAKER_01: The book will help people understand the reasons behind behind it, how AI technology can help create content, create uh uh information in your profile that normally you would you could spend hours on.
- 25:52SPEAKER_01: It takes minutes to really come up to something that's really impactful.
- 25:55SPEAKER_01: So I think that's a good way to do it.
- 25:57SPEAKER_01: So yeah, go to my website, linkedvantage.com, or reach out to me on LinkedIn, of course.
- 26:02SPEAKER_01: And um, if you do reach out, don't pitch slap me.
- 26:07SPEAKER_00: Guys, hear that.
- 26:09SPEAKER_00: Reach out and purposely thoughtfully connect.
- 26:12SPEAKER_00: Don't pitch, don't pitch slap.
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 26:15SPEAKER_00: I don't like we all hate that.
- 26:18SPEAKER_00: So so listeners, please do me the favor and please reach out and connect with Al.
- 26:22SPEAKER_00: And then please also do me the favor of hitting subscribe and sharing this with your friends and colleagues.
- 26:26SPEAKER_00: Because honestly, I truly believe if we can have people using LinkedIn better and not pitch slapping people, I think it will all be a happier place.
- 26:37SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 26:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
